The Historic Arkansas Riverwalk in Pueblo, Colorado offers a family-friendly experience with various activities and events such as boat rides and concerts. Once a bustling area for Native Americans and frontiersmen, the district surrounding the Arkansas River was revitalized after being devastated by a historic flood in 1921. Today, it is a vibrant mixed-use district featuring dining, shopping, lodging, parks, and green spaces. The Riverwalk hosts community events, festivals, concerts, and more.
Lots of trees, grass and plenty of space to walk. If you are into local history it is a good spot to visit. They offer short boat tours or paddle boats for rent. There is also lots of places to eat that are along the river. If you are visiting Pueblo and want something quick but also nice to do, I recommend doing the river walk.

Wanted a small break on our way to Carlsbad from Denver. Stopped at Angelino's for a pizza and enjoy the fall weather. Not too many shops but the walk was very relaxing. Very dog friendly we were able to take our pup into the patio area for lunch.
Elaine W — Google review
Beautifully redesigned by Pueblo. Easy to get to, lots of free parking, a great place to take a stroll, restaurants along the walk, boat rides, public art, and movie in the park.
Jeri — Google review
Water was dingy and gross green. We were there on a.l Saturday evening and expected lots of people and there was hardly anyone even around. Picked a place to go eat and have a drink. Walked in was seated. Waited for about 10 minutes without anyone coming to serve us- so we left and went back to hotel to order in with Door Dash. Would not recommend spending time or money to visit this place to others.

Pretty cool to walk around & explore.. you can ride a tour boat for a cost. Restrooms r on the 3rd floor of main building..

The Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum, situated on the outskirts of Pueblo at the Pueblo Memorial Airport, is a treasure trove for aviation enthusiasts. Established by local aviation aficionados in the 1980s, this museum boasts an extensive collection of over two dozen historic military aircraft and vehicles. The museum has undergone several expansions and now includes two large hangars housing various exhibits such as the International B-24 Memorial Museum and the Southern Colorado Space Museum and Learning Center.
It was impressive collection of planes, jets, and NASA space equipment. In one of the hangars you can get it the aircraft and it was the coolest experience for my family and I. Thanks again, shout out to George our tour guide. Come see it!!
Lupe R — Google review
Smaller but very nice aircraft museum very informative volunteers, we loved talking with George and watching the Earth rise video in the hanger with the Space Program exhibits including the actual helicopter that picked up Alan Sheppard from the water after his Freedom 7 flight into space.
H P — Google review
This is a great aircraft museum, well worth visiting and it has a fairly easy access from I25 so its a great place to get out and stretch your legs. The staff are great and very knowledgeable. My Father was a Waist Gunner on a bomber in WWII, I feel like this museum has done an outstanding job of honoring those that served as well as those who were lost in our various wars. There is also a great display of our various space endeavors. And they have a nice gift store as well.
Rockierubicon — Google review
One of the coolest little aviation museums I’ve ever been to. A-10 Warthog baby! So much to see, and the main attraction is the staff. So many stories. If you’re anywhere near this is definitely worth a stop.
Brandon-Dean M — Google review
I am very thankful for this opportunity to see such history of our great country and feel like it is so alive to touch and imagine like I was there this is the greatest country that has ever been. I hope this place is around forever as a reminder of why these things we're built and the freedom we have because of this them. I wish they could have been built for peace✌️ just think.. .. ..... thanks and thankful!!@@!!
Double C — Google review
Especially for such a small town, this museum is absolutely excellent. Tiny price of entry and extremely rich history on display. They have all kinds of incredible displays, from uniforms donated by remarkable individuals themselves to massive aircraft with great historical and technical value. The staff themselves are excellent people as well, all with their own great personal stories too. Ask for details about anything and you will not be disappointed!
Alexander C — Google review
We drove from Colorado Springs to visit this museum. Well worth the drive and entrance fee! Very interesting with a good variety of things to see. I especially enjoyed the aircrafts you could get into and the interactive displays. My father in law who is a veteran really enjoyed seeing the planes he used to work on.
My2cents — Google review
Great and knowledgeable staff! Very friendly! My kids loved how they could get inside some of the planes and helicopters. Lots of NASA stuff and two hangers to go into full of things and air crafts to explore and look at plus a bunch of airplanes outside to see and you can get on the tank and take pictures. Highly recommend

Zoo
Zoos & Aquariums
Pueblo Zoo, located in City Park on the west side of the city, is a year-round destination featuring over 400 animals from 120 different species. The zoo offers hands-on exhibits and a feeding area where visitors can interact with the animals. From majestic lions to playful otters and cute penguins, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Definitely not the big Zoo you see in Larger cities, but still earned a 5 star from me because I absolutely enjoyed myself. Eazy to walk through and plenty of room to play for kids. Would definitely add this to my list of awesome places to explore while getting some much needed exercise.
Elite G — Google review
Pueblo Zoo is an awesome zoo, despite being smaller than Denver Zoo or Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. I went for the "Meet The African Penguins, Behind The Scenes" tour and it was absolutely outstanding. The staff handling the tour were very knowledgeable and friendly. I got to meet Quinn, who is the cuddliest penguin in Colorado, maybe even the whole world. Getting to pet and learn more about such an amazing animal has been the highlight of my year so far. I also got to see how the exhibit is maintained and managed which is also a cool peak inside the amazing effort the zoo takes to keep these animals healthy. I appreciate how the zoo directly supports conservation of endangered species and puts emphasis on ways to help in your every day life. Besides the penguins, the rest of the zoo had a bunch of cool enclosures and exhibits, a lot of great activities for children, and many historical sites from when the zoo was first built in the 1930's. Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend spending some time here. It only takes about 2-3 hours to see everything the zoo has to offer, so its easy to plan an afternoon on a weekend around. Thanks to everyone working here for providing a wonderful experience.
Dani H — Google review
I read that some other reviews said it was small, and I’d have to disagree. It took us about 2 hours to see everything which is quicker than big cities zoos like St. Louis MO, however, it was (in my opinion) the perfect size! Lots of unique animals to see up close, very well taken care of animals, super friendly staff, and plenty of fun experiences. I 100% recommend! Don’t forget to donate to help their conservation efforts as well!
Sami N — Google review
The zoo is a sweet little place to go and spend an afternoon or an late morning adventure. It's not very big and all the paths are sidewalked and ready for strollers or wagons or wheelchairs. The variety of animals is not very big but they have lions and kangaroos and a red panda which are very fun to see. At 3:00 they do a education, talk and feeding of the penguins which was a lot of fun to see. It's a perfect zoo for young kids and families to go. And walk around. Have a picnic lunch and finish the zoo all within a couple of hours. You'll enjoy your time there.
Anna N — Google review
Always have a fun experience here! Usually can see the whole zoo in a couple hours so it's a lot smaller than others. But my kids always love it. Since it's located in a park there are plenty of other fun activities to do if you happen to go through the whole zoo faster than expected. The earlier you get there the less crowded it is.
Jalynn W — Google review
It was super fun, not too many people and was really cool with cool animals
Amanda T — Google review
Boo at the zoo, fantastic event, we'll put together and more than enough trickery treaters and candy.
John R — Google review
This is a beautiful zoo. It is a small zoo built in 1935. It is undergoing major renovations and preservations. I think everyone there is doing a great job preserving this amazing operation and protecting & caring for the animals. The gardens are beautiful. The zoo is clean. The animals seem happy. I enjoyed walking around looking at everything. It was a great afternoon.

Parks
Nestled around the expansive waters of Lake Pueblo, Lake Pueblo State Park is a true gem for outdoor enthusiasts. Spanning over 4,600 acres of shimmering water and boasting 60 miles of picturesque shoreline, this park offers an array of activities year-round. Whether you're into fishing—where you can reel in some impressive catches—or prefer the thrill of sailing, boating, or waterskiing, there's something for everyone here.
Props to the park staff in maintaining the parks beauty! Clean restrooms with showers available. The staff at the gates are very friendly and helpful. This park is maintained very well with plenty of campsites with comfortable spacing in between. Great bike paths for ebikes along the outer edges of the park. Hiking opportunities and mountain biking are plentiful as well. Whether you plan on staying several days or just passing through, Pueblo State Park is well worth the visit!

South shore Marina is awesome. Staff are helpful and friendly. Everything is explained well and they have every kind of water "toy" for rent. It's a great place to fish, boat or just hang out. Well worth your time! Just go!
Mark W — Google review
The lake was absolutely beautiful and swim area was nice! The camping area was well maintained and bathrooms were kept clean daily. Make sure you prepare yourself for cold shower but that’s camping for you. The only thing I will note is the camp sites do not have a lot of shade trees so you might want a canopy. Our family had a blast and hope to come back in the future.
Ashley S — Google review
This is a very nice state park. Campsites are spread out pretty decently and the park is well kept. The services are limited in that the campground we were in, Arapahoe Ridge had electric service only at the site. There are no sewer connections or individual water hookups. There were water hydrants between every 2 sites which was sufficient for our needs and they had a nice dump station with easy access. There is not a lot of shade but there was a tree near every site (unfortunately the tree at our site was completely dead) and a picnic table canopy that also provided shade. There are also flush toilet houses with nice shower facilities adequately dispersed throughout the campground. Overall this was a very nice place to stay.
David O — Google review
Pleasantly surprised by the stunning landscape and bright blue water. It's a much larger lake than I expected. The trails are well kept from what we walked. There were a fair number of bicyclists on the trails too. There is a public restroom (no running water) that was clean.
Bridgette G — Google review
A beautiful, humongous state park with many family oriented things to do - boating, biking, fishing, sailboarding, kayaking, hiking & camping. On the downside, not all the showers got hot & the camp host was a pretty non existent entity unless you specifically went over to his site.
The H — Google review
Great place to take your antisocial dog to cool off during the summer. Los of nooks and inlets away from the crowded parts of the lake where your dog can freak out without actually putting anyone else at risk
Sarah J — Google review
Lake Pueblo has amazing features such as quiet inlets along with gigantic open water. Perfect place for speed boats, small boats, camping, fishing, picnics. The variety is incredible. The terrain and vegetation on the perimeter of the lake is beautiful as well.

El Pueblo History Museum, part of History Colorado, is a living museum that resembles an 1840s trading post. It offers hands-on history and innovative exhibits showcasing the region's cultural and ethnic groups. The museum features a replica of the historic 1842 El Pueblo trading post and serves as an important archaeological excavation site. Visitors can explore the reconstruction of the trading post and plaza, gaining insights into the city's diverse cultural and ethnic makeup.
Small Museum with a lot of cool information especially if you've never been to the Pueblo, Colorado area. I really enjoyed the exhibits and how they have put it together. The staff was very nice, Very welcomeing and made the experience even more Enjoyable. I learned some new stuff and I hope they keep expanding and making it better.
Z ( — Google review
SLIP IT! The museum really should regulate the actions of kids. Turn of kids running around jumping and screaming. Parents also need to teach their kids how to behave in public. If you want that behavior at home that's fine I don't want to be around it. They do have a water bottle refill station which is nice.
Nomad T — Google review
Beautiful museum but kind of small. Almost half of what is advertised was closed and we weren’t able to fully access majority of the building. The trading post was also closed. They do have a gift shop as well.
Serena — Google review
Small museum about the history of El Pueblo. Nice to visit, we walked through it under 1 hour and read almost everything. Some nice things for kids to do, but could be more interactive. It was a bit boring for my school kid, 10. Staff was very sweet. There is also a little museum shop with some regional craft works and a small art gallery. We liked the time.
Sari — Google review
The staff was very kind, friendly and engaging which is why I gave this museum 2 stars but the exhibits were mostly signs on the walls to read. The outdoor trading post village was closed on Sunday yet the admission was still full priced at $7 per adult. The archaeological excavation going outside had signs mentioning the 1000's of artifacts that have been recovered but none of these were on display inside. We had high hopes for this museum but we were sadly disappointed with our visit.
Jason P — Google review
Cute very small museum. Spent 30 minutes reading each exhibit. Disappointed that the trading post section was closed even though it is advertised as open and not restricted access, They charged me even though there was no access to the trading post today and told me that I could come back another day - I had driven over 100 miles:( Disappointing visit. Don’t waste your time.
Darlene M — Google review
Great small museum of local history, inexpensive and free for all kids. It's a series of galleries - one on the defunt Mineral Palace, one on the shifting borderlands between the US & Mexico (I hadn't realized it reached this far up), and another one about the Steel industry and the historic strike of the 80-90's. A Tipi is set up at the end of the hall and there are plaques about buffalo hunting and one about City Park, which I found interesting since I was there the day before. But almost worth the price of admission is the community gallery featuring art by Gregg Deal (which you might be able to visit for free - and you should.) During the summer, an outside trading post is open and there are lots of activities for kids, like a dress-up area & crafts. It took me about an hour to do a very thorough read-everything tour. Across the plaza is a shelter with a real archeological dig for the history of the town.
Sara W — Google review
We visited today after a long hiatus. This is certainly among the lamest museums we have ever had the misfortune to tour. It SHOULD be a repository of artifacts about the varied history, cultures and ethnicities that have built the City of Pueblo from the 1840s to present. What it IS is something different. There are three sections. One gives a very brief history of the establishment of the original trading post/fort/community established in 1842 and its demise. The rest of the section focuses almost exclusively on the Hispanic people of the area as well as the indigenes. Display placards, all of which are in Spanish first, then English through the museum, consistent label American settlers as 'colonizers' and 'anglos' throughout. The second section, is dedicated completely to the steel industry labor movement in Pueblo. The third is about a small, fringe section of the city, featured because of the strong presence of citizens with Hispanic heritage. There's a lot of wasted space in the attractive building. Years ago, it used to have many more artifacts and gave a somewhat more balanced presentation of the rich history of Pueblo. Most all artifacts that do not support the present narratives are removed.

Rosemount Museum is a 37-room Victorian mansion built in 1893, featuring period furniture and guided tours. Located near Mineral Park just north of Downtown Pueblo, the three-story, 24,000 square-foot museum offers an authentic step back in time to the Thatcher family's residency. The mansion showcases amazing turn-of-the-century craftsmanship and beauty with most of the home's furnishings remaining unchanged.
My first visit to The Rosemont Museum was at the Christmas open house Sunday. It did not disappoint. The main doors were open to visitors, which opened to the grand staircase where carolers performed. What a treat! Each room had wonderful decorations celebrating the season. And I know now that I will be back after the holidays to see the original decor, which I was told over 85% are original to the Thatcher family. Surprisingly, the 3rd floor housed many artifacts brought over from the Andrew McClelland Museum, including a mummy. I'm especially shocked to see that there as I would have thought the Egyptian government would insist on its return. Still, fascinating to see so close up. Each room showcased life for the family from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. Pretty interesting to see.
Julie C — Google review
This museum is so neat to walk into! Not to pricey to look around and get a full tour. Everything in the Victorian house is preserved so well you get a really good idea of what it was like to live as a posh Thatcher during the Victorian Era. Our guide did a great job sharing stories, answering questions and explaining different parts of the house. You cannot take pictures inside the building but the art alone throughout the house is like an art gallery. So many beautiful details to admire. The fireplace mantels, chairs, drapes and more are all very ornate and neat to see. The stained glass by the staircase is as big as a cathedrals very beautiful and detailed.

Fantastic Museum / Mansion. There is no self guided tour - you get a tour guide when you walk through this large home. The woodworking detail is in every room, painted ceilings, grand fireplaces, large painted (stained glass look) windows, many exhibits including a real mummy. May have to wait a few minutes for a tour time and there is limited parking - 2 hour parking time limit around museum on street. We took exactly 2 hours with tour and gift shop. Prices were extremely reasonable. Don’t pass by this place. No picture taking allowed inside building.

Wow, what an amazing Victorian Mansion this Home is and that it is so full of Historical facts about the Owners. As a Denver Native, I had never heard about this Home until my wife & I went to Pueblo recently to take a tour. Debbie was our very knowledgeable Guide so we learned so much on our Tour. If you have a chance to go see this Wonderful Home, you will not be disappointed.. Thanks Debbie and Staff we really enjoyed our Tour. Steve & Lorri Hose ~ Littleton ~

The Rosemont Museum is a beautiful hidden gem in Pueblo! The stained glass window is absolutely stunning huge and full of color, definitely a highlight. The staircases and woodwork throughout the home are amazing, and you can really feel the history in every detail. Our guide was great and very informative. My only complaint is that the tour felt a little rushed, and I wish we had more time to explore or peek into more of the rooms. Still, it was a lovely experience overall and I’d definitely recommend a visit if you’re in the area! I will definitely come back!
Elizabeth — Google review
While the facility itself was fantastic and truly impressive, our experience was unfortunately overshadowed by the way we were treated upon arrival. Our group consisted of four moms and our kids—16 people total—all of whom had purchased tickets in advance through Groupon. We carefully reviewed the website ahead of time to plan our visit, and at no point did we see any requirement to make a reservation for groups over 10. When we arrived, the person who greeted us (Deb) seemed visibly frustrated and immediately chastised us for not making a group reservation, insisting that the website states this is required. I have since double-checked and still see no such mention. If group reservations are necessary, that should be clearly stated on the website and during the ticket purchase process. More disappointing than the misunderstanding, however, was the unwelcoming attitude we received. Deb made it feel as though our presence was an inconvenience and spoke as if scrambling to accommodate us was a burden. As paying visitors supporting a local historical site, we expected to be met with hospitality, not frustration. We sincerely hope this was an isolated incident, as the facility itself is well worth the visit—but a warmer welcome would have made all the difference.

As being from the south with our plantations and big estate's this is so amazing....to have built this from such humble beginnings. This is real America. Sounds to me like this guy was the only one in the territory that could be trusted. He had land to texas 250 miles away It kind of sounds like job but without the trials......God is amazing... thanks😊 for the trip!!@@!!..... ps I hope to come back thanks

This is an absolutely beautiful mansion and very unique. Originally built as a home in 1893 by the John A. and Margaret Thatcher family, this house has 37 bedrooms, and the estate covers an entire block. The Thatcher family resided in the mansion for 75 years. Almost all the original custom woodwork, paintings, and furnishings are original to the way the Thatcher family enjoyed it. I will post photos of the interior when they become available. ☀️🥀

Peaceful and quiet. I always enjoy walking here! Right by the water with trees, rock formations, and even places to sit and relax, think, or even bring a snack or lunch to chill.

I’ve ran thousands of miles through here and have loved the views of the river, the animal sounds, and the well maintained restrooms. I’ve eaten lunch at the tables on the patio above the river. I fly fish at this spot often and love that as well. As a local this is one of my favorite places to spend time.

Lovely little stop to recharge and enjoy the bend in the river. Nice deck that looks out onto the Arkansas river that has been landscaped with native plants. It's situated right along the Pueblo River Trail so makes a great stopping point for a break.

The nature center is a great spot to leave your 2nd vehicle after launching by the dam. From the dam to the nature center is about a 2 hour trek. A bit faster paddling. Hope y'all enjoy it. Stay safe.

Great place for a walk, bike ride, family gatherings, bbq's, bird watching, and just enjoying the outdoors. I always walk to the Nature Center from the river trail going west. If you drive to the Nature Center, expect parking fees.

This was my first time here, and they did an excellent presentation for a birthday party I was attending. They were very thorough about the birds that they rehabilitate, what to do in case you come upon an injured bird of prey And we even got a personal tour behind the scenes where they keep the birds. The birds are very well cared for they all have their own cages and we got to witness the birds get cooled off since it's the middle of summer. We had a picnic lunch before the presentation, and the grounds themselves seem to be very well taken care of. This is a family-friendly place.

The Pueblo Railway Museum, located at the historic Pueblo Union Depot, offers a fascinating look into the city's rich railway history. The museum showcases a diverse collection of vintage engines, carriages, and rolling stock, including a steam engine, rocket cars, and a Pikes Peak snowblower. Visitors can explore the outdoor site for free and learn about Pueblo's significant role in the development of rail materials in the American West since 1881.
The museum is open to public and no charge. You are free to walk around and enjoy the trains. I wish the trains would have some sort of description (year it was made or used). But the trains were amazing!

Loved the Santa car with all the displays. Hot chocolate +soft cookies were a nice treat. Santa + his elf were funny /friendly. FUN Decorations were colorful, bright+ pretty (festive!) Well worth a visit/ reasonably priced!

As a railway buff, I always enjoy it when I am able to see the engineering feats of the 'glory' days when the country was continuing to expand. I loved seeing all of the trains out front, and with the Union Depot in the background, it made for a very wonderful scene! It was a shame that I didn't get to see the inside of the cars as I didn't know one could, but I will have to come back the next time when I am in Pueblo!

Open air train museum. There's a fair amount of rolling stock and a couple of locomotives(am old steam loco and a GE U30C) that aren't behind gates. But during open hours and special events, there's a large selection of classic EMD locos and rideable cabooses kept behind gates. Just adjacent is the old passenger depot.
Bent S — Google review
It was during the week and early in the morning. So everything was closed. Can't give it a bad review since I didn't do any research on it to check hours etc etc. The parts that were open were pretty cool. For instance the inside of the station was open and they had all kinds of historic things. Pretty cool stuff
Jp A — Google review
We went during the week, and there was no admission. It was just trains on tracks. You can't go in, and there isn't anyone there. They do have public events with train rides and someone to tell you about the trains. Check their website, I think it happens once a month.
Tina M — Google review
There are some interesting shops inside the Union Depot. We were hoping you could go into the trains carts at the museum but they seemed locked. Not much info at the museum itself. Still, they have some old cars and taxis that were in use in Pueblo back in the day that are good photo ops.

Such great activities for children and adults! So affordable! Very friendly and helpful employees. I'm considering a family membership because it pays for itself easily. You'll go home with as many arts and crafts as you choose. They also have an incredible arts program for veterans and their loved ones for free. 100% look into it!

Wow, can't believe I haven't been here sooner, well worth a day trip to Pueblo for with the kiddos. We lucked out and came on a free day, but it isn't too expensive and a good value. There's lots to do, from building foam or Lego, to exploring the cultures of other kids from around the world (we learned to fold paper cranes and all about anime!) There's a fun art area to make and create for all ages.
Benjamin B — Google review
Great place, my kids had a lot of fun. We really liked the room that was dedicated to the snowball fight, I almost considered making one of those at home because it was that much fun. And the staff inside was extremely friendly!

We came from out of town and wanted to do something with my kids uncles and aunts and grandma. We got to the museum and paid. Then realized there was nothing for our kids to do (they are 12+). We were there for 5min with nothing to do. They graciously gave us a return of our money which meant we could find something fun for them to do.

This was fun for our three year old granddaughter. The best play area for young children is upstairs. It is a very clean facility. I wish there were more activities, but for a smaller Children's Museum, it is quite nice.

A nice art center with beautiful art from local artists, and a cool maker space. I enjoyed seeing the variety of local art, from photography to painting to sculptures. They also offer classes to make stuff, like a clay sculpting class that I didn't have time for that day but sounded interesting

I have lived in Pueblo my whole life and my grandma used to take me to the children's museum frequently when I was growing up. It was so much fun then so I was excited to take my son to the museum the other day in hopes of him experiencing what I had at his age. But unfortunately, this wasn't the case. We spent about 20 mins in the museum and he had seen everything there was to see. It was a huge let down. One of the coolest things at the museum was a metal labyrinth that is about 20 feet high and has marbles that make their way down through the maze and then are carried back up to the top to go down again. I was happy to see it still there but it wasn't working. 😢

Come here once a year for an event put on for my childrens school. They always take good care of the school and everyone in attendance for the schools annual Empty Bowls Event to raise money for pueblos soup kitchenen and other local non profits. They dont raise millions but it instills in the kids the importance to help others less fortunate. This year all the classrooms made a gift basket for the silent auction plus all the ones that were donated by local businesses plus as part of the kids art projects they each create a bowl that either the parents can buy before the event or anyone can at the event. Plus it always the kids to perform in front of family and loved ones at the event and people from the community either as groups, solo or even the marching band with color guard.

The Steel City Theatre Education Building/Box Office, also known as the Southern Colorado Theater Company, was established in 2001 to celebrate Pueblo's industrial heritage. It offers a chance to witness the region's theatrical talent and has become a highlight for many visitors. The theater hosts various programs for kids and teens, including dance, music classes, and acting lessons. While the current building has some accessibility limitations, there are plans to move to a more accessible location soon.
I have been waiting my entire life to see Camelot and last night's performance was totally worth it! Everyone in the cast and crew was amazing. The voices were well trained, the cast was so entertaining and even though the sets were minimal, they were so well thought out that I felt I was back in time myself. 🤩 Steel City Theatre is the coziest theater I've ever been in, with eight to a table, full food service, and talented cast, crew, and staff, I'd recommend a night out to any theatre lover or someone wanting to try something new. Thank you all for giving me and my family such a mesmerizing night.

Steel City Theatre's camps and classes have been a wonderful experience for our son! The staff is fantastic with kids, creating a fun, safe, and educational environment. He’s gained confidence, built friendships, learned responsibility through teamwork, and developed real theatre skills. It’s affordable, well-organized, and easy to work with — we’re so grateful to have such a fantastic program right here in Pueblo!

One of the best not-so-hidden secrets in Pueblo! Great food, great drinks, great performers with a mix of high schoolers and adults. This theatre does a lot for our community so make sure to buy tickets, have a drink, and enjoy a great show. They also enforced masking.

I absolutely cannot say enough good things about the programs held here! Great programs for kids and teens. If you have a child with a disability, they are so patient, kind, and understanding They teach different types of dance, music class, and acting! The building on Santa Fe has a wheelchair accessible Entrance, the bathrooms are not as wheelchair as single. However, they are moving soon so hopefully the new building will be more accessible!

Opening night and everything was made for a perfect evening! Drinks and dinner before show were very tasty! The fries were so good, I got second order for "desert"! My server was a true professional who made the whole evening welcoming and fun! Actors performances, wow, wow, wow! My hat off to performances which tackled a very tough topic and made the audience feel the depths of the souls of their characters! Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!

Going to see shows here has been one of the single biggest highlights of my Pueblo experience. This collective of highly creative and passionate actors fill my heart with delight every time and I look forward to visiting again and again! Things to keep in mind: - Many shows require reservations and tickets are usually always available in advance. - Although you can arrive early, no more than 30 minutes will do. Have more time? Explore some of the local businesses nearby! - Steel City Theatre will be moving soon, but will remain in the downtown area. You can check their website for updates!

Being new to pueblo, this is a great little museum that you can learn the history of this town the woman who runs.It is a fountain of knowledge i was shocked that there were no class trips going on. During my visit, because I think every school child in this town should go to that museum at least three or four times throughout their academic career

The staff here is some of the most unprofessional people I have ever had the experience of dealing with in my life. The two women in the office are extremely rude and have terrible customer service skills. I couldn't believe the way they spoke to my husband and I, who had needed to obtain the blueprints for our property for an emergency water line break that had caused over 80 families to lose their homes. We were told we would have to wait a week since they were planning a fundraiser and to come back the following Wednesday. When we returned the following Wednesday there was a sign on the door stating that they would be open, however nobody showed up all day. On the following Thursday we were told that they could not help us and proceeded to call my personal phone multiple times on different phone numbers where I had to block Christina's number so that she would stop calling me. Absolutely unacceptable.

Good variety of displays. Lots of various subjects. Somewhat cramped, but worth the small admissions price. There are other vintage buildings in the same block and a railroad display outside.

Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. The displays were varied and took you through the many eras of Pueblo, including a great display about the Pueblo flood. It has Indian and immigrant sections along with local businesses and industries, including the railroad.

This place is jam packed with history! At first I was thinking the museum could use a bit of editing because it was all over the place but then I found an exhibit that spoke specifically to my interests and I got fired up. This museum is for people who enjoy industry or tools or saddles or trains or... It just keeps going. I learned a lot about Pueblo and Colorado in two hours today and I think it was worth it.

I brought a group of 30 local high school students here to learn about the rich history and culture of their home. The Museum did not disappoint! Emily was our tour guide, and she was very professional and engaging for our students. The museum itself had way more exhibits than I ever imagined, and covered aspects of Pueblo's history that we had never even heard of! After the tour, we participated in the Legacy Trunk activity, which was a captivating and meaningful exploration of Colorado Native American culture. This is a perfect place to bring groups of all ages, and for anybody who has interest in Colorado history.

This place is ok. The birthday room they have is upstairs and it was hot and not even ready for us. Didnt even look like they had cleaned up from the previous party and had to ask for the tables to be wiped down. But the kids had fun riding the go-carts.

Price is high and staff can be nice but can be rude. Also over half the cars brake while driving them and some will give you burns. Then also they shoot so much gas out that you choke on the smoke

1st and last time here! Machines are run down and most either ate the coins or didn't give out tickets that they should have. At least 1/2 of the money we spent got ate by the machines. Got my son a GoKart ride. First Kart broke down during the first lap, second Kart broke down during his second lap, and by the time he was put into the third Kart, he was given 5 laps but the others received 13 that I counted all while he was being switched between Karts. Sad day for sure as this was for his birthday.

Decent small park. It will occasionally have some very interesting birds. So a good birding spot and there is a hike around the pond that is concrete. So the trail is very smooth. Worth visiting if you live in the area. Not a destination park. Recently a rare Mexican Duck was seen by many.

There is also a really nice xeriscape demonstration garden. The garden has labels for all of the plants and there is a good information guide available as well. Goodnight Barn, located at Charles Goodnight's Rock Canyon Ranch in Pueblo, CO, was built in 1870 and has been restored to its former glory. While it is not open to the public like a museum, special events may be held there by appointment. The barn is the only remaining structure from Goodnight's ranch and holds historical significance as it was here that he invented the chuck wagon.
I've driven by the Goodnight Barn many times but always closed. They had their first ever Chuck Wagon Rendezvous and it was open to the public. The barn is beautifully restored. I enjoyed walking through history. Charles Goodnight built the stone barn along with his Rock Canyon Ranch in 1869-70. The stone barn is all that remains today. Goodnight invented the chuck wagon in order to easily feed the men trailing his longhorns from Texas to Wyoming through Colorado.
Lyndee D — Google review
The Goodnight Barn was a key remount station on cattle drives from Texas to Montana. It’s beautifully preserved and would be a fun stop on the road to Pueblo Reservoir…if it was ever open to the public. I take people there a lot to show them the site…from a distance. It’s a fantastic resource for historians and people who are in love with Western history. It would be an awesome wedding and party venue. It’s wholly underutilized but great to know it’s there.
Frank C — Google review
Today I finally got to see the completed renovations of the historic Goodnight Barn and it is magnificent. The attention to detail and the elegance of the simplicity is brilliant. The Barn adds a whole new layer of understanding the early years of Pueblo when it was truly the borderlands of opportunity...well before the steel story. I look forward to seeing the destination grow and develop as it is adjacent to so many wonderful recreation areas. GH

In addition to the music, visitors appreciate the friendly atmosphere, unique delicious wines, and the promise of trying out the food next time.
For live shows this historic venue is intimate, the acoustics are ideal, the service is stellar and the food a great value. Outstanding performance last night (10/11) by Nashville recording artist Sam Lewis. THE place to go for live music in Pueblo County and beyond. Way to go, Chris and your crew!

21Pueblo Levee Mural Walk

The Pueblo Levee Mural Walk is a captivating experience that showcases the longest mural in the world, stretching an impressive three miles along the Arkansas River in Pueblo, Colorado. This vibrant artwork began its journey in the 1970s when students from Colorado State University-Pueblo took it upon themselves to transform graffiti into stunning murals. As you stroll or bike along this scenic path, you'll be treated to a feast for the eyes with colorful designs and artistic expressions that breathe life into the levee.
Beautiful for an afternoon walk or bike ride on Pueblo. On warm days you can see the artists in their gear painting the levee and making it come to life. It's really remarkable to watch and see it grow!

A pleasant walk along the Arkansas River. Parking is at the top of the hill, but there is a few handicap parking spots below by the levee so you have to walk down/up the hill. Try the stroll in the evening before it gets dark but cools down. The artwork is interesting and the park is well kept and clean. We even saw a lot of baby geese hanging out by the water. There is a bridge to cross the river and whimsical artwork on that side as well. There is a park for kids to burn off some energy too,

Sports complex
The Runyon Field Sports Complex is a remarkable facility that continually adds and enhances its amenities. The grounds boast stunning grass, well-maintained dirt tracks, and a playground for children. Additionally, the complex provides various concessions, ample parking spaces, and impeccably clean restrooms. It is also worth mentioning that Runyon recently hosted the prestigious Cancer Society annual Relay for Life event—an incredibly gracious gesture to support cancer survivors and their families.
Excellent venue! Plenty of parking, plenty of seating. Concession stand is a full kitchen, customer service is A+, bathrooms are always clean and stocked, ATM is available & not overpriced. My son has been playing here for 12 years and I have never had any issues or complaints. Don’t leave without trying a chili wrap!!

Hands down the best fields/sports complex in Colorado. We are so blessed to have such a beautiful place to watch our kiddos here in Pueblo. Well maintained, amazing concession, friendly staff, actual toilets, adequate parking, bleacher protection from fly balls!! Runyon makes Pueblo proud.

Wonderful complex, they are always adding and updating the facility. Gorgeous grass, nice dirt tracks, playground for the lil ones, concessions, lots of parking, and clean restrooms. Runyon hosted the Cancer Society annual Relay for Life - what a gracious way to support cancer survivors and their families. We didn't play ball, but had a great event, can't wait til next year!

Love this complex. Great looking fields, array of concessions, plus a bar for adults and always clean restrooms. Never mind going to games when they're here.
Melissa M — Google review
Its always a convenient local spot to take the kids and throw the pole in...however sad thing about it is people throw trash everywhere, few groups of guys be pressuring the hell outta the fish but like I said its alright and there multiple bodies of water to try.
Melissa S — Google review
Poor management especially after all of the recent incidents with adults acting like fools and being allowed to continue to come back into this establishment! Poor reflection on this community and what shouldn’t be tolerated within the sports industry but that what you get when you have a ex-coach who has mentally belittled players for years running this place!! No one will want to come play here!!!
Mandy — Google review
Love this ballpark! Its by far one of my favorites I've been to:)
