Park
Polliwog Park, located in Manhattan Beach, is a sprawling park with a large pond and an amphitheater for events. The park features a brand-new playground spanning about 12,500 square feet, complete with a wooden galleon ship and nature-themed structures. Additionally, the park offers three well-shaded play areas, picnic spots with tables and barbecues, gazebos, a nine-hole disc golf course, an exercise area, and a dog run.
Free park, nice for families to hangout and enjoy watching ducks and geese’s families resting on the ground or playing in the lake
Donna C — Google review
Concert in Park was great and love MB Parks & Recs. Saw Petty Party on Sunday 7/13/25
K. W — Google review
Beautiful community park with a lovely lake, plenty of open space, and free street parking nearby. The playground is very well equipped, and there’s also a solid outdoor workout station for adults. Bathrooms are available and generally convenient. The main downside is the is the goose poop around the lake area — while the geese add to the scenery, there’s quite a bit of goose poop concentrated near the water, so watch your step.
F T — Google review
One of our favorite parks!! Two structures to choose from! On right alongside Manhattan Beach blvd and one down the hill (through the park) just north. Lots of shaded space to play and most importantly: A CORRALLED TODDLER SPACE!!! There is a small lake with so many different kinds of birds and the dog park is nearby as well so we also stop and watch the dogs play too!
Allie B — Google review
Polliwog Park in Manhattan Beach is a beautiful, family-friendly destination that perfectly combines relaxation and recreation. The park features spacious green areas, scenic walking paths, a lovely pond with ducks and turtles, and well-maintained playgrounds for children. There’s also an outdoor amphitheater for community events and plenty of shaded spots for picnics. The park is clean, safe, and ideal for both quiet strolls and active play. With its peaceful atmosphere and variety of amenities, Polliwog Park is one of the best places in Manhattan Beach to unwind, enjoy nature, and spend quality time with family or friends
Abdul C — Google review
The botanical garden was the main point of it. The rest of the park needs heavy maintenance and cleanup. There is big bird dropping all around the walk paths that should be cleaned often.. the lake needs a clean up. Trash. People causing all this. Enough!
PJ — Google review
It’s a beautiful park for children to enjoy playing. It’s also a beautiful spot for picnics and feeding the ducks, turtles, and geese. I totally recommend to feed the animals. Since bread isn’t healthy for ducks, I instead feed them bananas, peas, corn (they love it a lot!!) and lettuce. Totally come here! It’s an amazing place. 💐
Dalia — Google review
Very nice public park and bigger than you might think! Lots of open area and playgrounds, that are well padded. Big amphitheater and nice lake with lots of geese and ducks! Close to the Botanical garden (which is pretty small)! VictorB

Sand Dune Park, located in Manhattan Beach, California, is a unique public space known for its 100-foot-high sand dune that attracts fitness enthusiasts and families alike. The park offers over 20 miles of trails through the dunes, playgrounds, picnic areas, and a swimming lake. This recreational facility showcases rare natural coastal formations and provides a habitat for native plants and wildlife. Reservations are required to visit this remarkable destination.
Just as I remember it in the late 80s but with less crowds. Just as hard as I remember it too. I did reserve my spot, which I think is a helpful way to keep it less crowded than it used to be. Hopefully those same people will come back with a reservation. It was always so motivating to run with people in better shape than I was in lol! I then walked up the stairs and down to the beach to observe people riding by. I ran into an old friend. I really enjoyed my day.
Lea R — Google review
Heard about this place in Manhattan Beach from friends that used to train here back in high school so wanted to check it out. Easily found with the help of Google Maps🤙 Free parking, along with a playground and restrooms. Need a permit and pay a small fee online to use the sand dunes now. Visited during the rains so the dunes was wet but managed to get some exercise going up and down the stairs.
P R — Google review
This is a nice medium sized park with multiple walking paths and a fun sand dune that requires a reservation and a small free to use. You can get a great stair or hill workout in here! There is a limited parking lot and plenty of neighborhood street parking. There is also a well maintained playground for kids and a restroom as well.
Mayur P — Google review
You must make a reservation to enjoy this gem, which is nice as it keeps the park regulated and crowd-free. Also note that the sand does get HOT if you go too late in the day.
Michael S — Google review
That dune climb is no joke, but it’s addictive. You feel your legs for days after. The adjacent playground makes it family-friendly. Reservations may be required for dune access at times. Great training spot with ocean breezes
Sam L — Google review
Great park, and a great workout! Reservations ARE required online. They cost about $3, and the staff clear everyone out each hour for the next reservation slot to start. Would recommend bringing a towel to wipe off your feet afterwards. If you go in the morning, the sand is quite cold!
Matt H — Google review
It was a good workout havin been here since I was a teenager, brought back a lot of good memories
KING K — Google review
Sand Dune Park is one of my favorite natural areas in the LA Metropolitan area! Great park for workouts on the hill and for kids to play at the playground! It’s basically a multilevel park starting with the lower flat area with a parking lot, playground, picnic tables and restrooms. There’s also a long open lawn, good for playing football or any field sports among friends or family. Not so much a place for organized team sports with spectators, as the field is narrow with homes and yards alongside it. Above the lawn is a large hill with traversing pathways and lots of steps. It’s a nicely maintained natural shaded area, where some users enjoy a leisure walk and others prefer the workout. The north end of the hill is void of vegetation, as this is the sand dune, the namesake of the park! Do the dune! My friends would say, as we used jog up and down the large sand dune! It was a great warmup before going down to the beach to surf! Just blocks from the oceanfront, the park remains as one of the most natural and beautiful parks to go to in South Bay!

Manhattan Beach Pier, the oldest on the West Coast, stretches 928 feet into the Pacific Ocean. It's a lively spot with street performers and artists entertaining tourists year-round. At the end of the pier, visitors can explore an aquarium and watch surfers and boogie boarders taking on intense waves. The pier also features plaques dedicated to beach volleyball legends, showcasing Manhattan Beach as the Beach Volleyball Capital of the World.
Manhattan Beach was such a peaceful and refreshing stop during our trip to California. We went in the evening, and the weather was perfect — cool and breezy. The beach wasn’t overly crowded, which made the experience even better. We spent some time watching surfers riding the waves — it was calming and fun to watch! There’s a small aquarium at the end of the pier, but unfortunately, we missed it since it closes at 7 PM. The surrounding neighborhood is really charming and laid-back. We loved taking a relaxing stroll through the quiet streets. A lovely, chill beach experience! Note: lots of food options around & a very cool ice cream place at a walkable distance
Kulsum B — Google review
The city of Manhattan Beach maintains the public restrooms. It’s clean and so are the beaches. I see no signs of trash or vagrants. The pier has an open to the public aquarium. It’s free and run by volunteers. Great for all ages. The pier is great for pedestrians. No bikers or skateboarding allowed. Public parking is limited to five hours on metered.
Christian T — Google review
Last week I had a chance to visit the Manhattan Beach before I board the airplane in LAX. I know the west coast is well known for sunset views. It is very true that sunset is gorgeous. The piers in Manhattan Beach adds a lot of flavor to the sunset. If you walk underneath the piers you’ll get a real treat of the sunset scene with surfers and family photos takers and other water sports youngsters. There are many beautiful homes along the beach. There are also many restaurants for you to choose. It ls a worth a while place to visit if you are in LA area.
Eddie K — Google review
We stopped at Manhattan Beach during our drive from San Francisco, and I instantly fell in love with it. The vibe of the place is incredible — relaxed, welcoming, and full of that classic SoCal energy. The beach itself is beautifully maintained and impressively clean, which made walking along the shore even more enjoyable. The pier was definitely a highlight. It offers stunning ocean views and adds so much charm to the entire area. Parking was easy to find, which made the visit stress-free. I honestly wish I could have stayed longer to soak up more of the atmosphere. If you’re looking for a scenic, peaceful, and well-kept beach to unwind, Manhattan Beach is a must-visit. 🌊☀️
Shannon — Google review
The sand was very clean and soft, wind was pleasant, but the water quality was poor (high bacteria per health reports). The pier was in good shape but people ignored the signs saying things like no dogs, no scooters etc. Good spot for pictures and a very, very, small aquarium at the end. Other than that no vendors or shops. You have to go up the hill to town. Parking was only 2 hrs on the street and in the lots.
Adora — Google review
We love this place for short walks. Especially free small aquarium at end of pier. Lots of shops and dining too. Sand is soft. Lifeguards on duty. Beach is clean and sho no signs of trash. A lot of trash bins prior to heading to the shore maybe to remind visitors to Throw their trash on the way in or out.
Macsy M — Google review
The beauty and power of the sea will elevate your innergy; even on a day the sun is slightly hiding. The waves are invigorating, without touch. Sand between toes with sea water seeking into the skin of feet, rising into one’s vessel, is incomparable. I love it! What a dream to live along the oceanfront!
Circa A — Google review
Manhatten is a nice Upscale beach community. A great variety of restaurants and boutiques to fit everyone's personal preferences. Seems to have plenty of paid parking lots and meters along the main roads. It's a steep grade to walk to the Pier.

Aquarium
Zoos & Aquariums
Located at the end of Manhattan Beach Pier, Roundhouse Aquarium is a free-to-enter attraction that houses over 100 marine species from Santa Monica Bay. The aquarium features four galleries where visitors can explore and learn about sea life, including interactive exhibits and animal encounters with moray eels, rays, and octopuses. It also offers summer beach camps and classes for marine enthusiasts.
An incredible amount of sealife packed into the aquarium at the end of the pier. Volunteers are always so helpful and kind to answer all my kids questions. Love the touch tank!
Vikki B — Google review
While checking out the area, we decided to stop in the aquarium since we were already on the pier. We realized it didn't open until 2 p.m., which seemed late to me. Since it was 10 minutes until 2, we decided to wait. Some employees started bringing stuff outside, but it was more than 10 minutes past 2 that they let people in. I get and generally love the laid-back atmosphere of Southern California, but waiting an extended period of time after opening to get in was kinda annoying, especially because we needed to leave by 3 and were concerned we wouldn't have enough time on the parking meter to see all that we wanted to see. Once we got inside, we discovered it is a free aquarium, but donations for operation are appreciated! You can make a cash or electronic donation. The aquarium itself isn't very big, but there are some neat things to see! My two highlights were seeing an octopus moving around its tank and the volunteer that was there explaining and teaching things to people! I learned a few new things while I was there! I always appreciate a chance to learn more about the world around me! The man was very friendly and did a fantastic job engaging with visitors! Overall, there were many interesting things to see and experience! However, some of the displays could be improved for a better viewing experience. Some were hard to see because of poor lighting or light glare. The octopus was my favorite thing to see but probably had the worst tank of all. The poor lighting made it more difficult to see with good clarity. There was also a working area by the tank that looked disorganized and blocked good viewing. The octopus looked to be healthy and in good shape, but it could use a bigger, better tank. I wouldn't list this as a must-see aquarium. However, if you happen to be in the Manhattan Beach area and like marine life, it's worth the look around!
Sunshine T — Google review
It's a cool little aquarium experience. They have quite a bit of sealife. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged. It's worth a visit.
Jeff C — Google review
Cute free aquarium, staff are friendly to everyone and openly speak about their creatures. Some sea life on entry level and up stairs.
Paul L — Google review
I love walking down the pier and coming to this aquarium. It's a nice small aquarium that is free and has a good amount of sea life to look at. Always a great bonus after a walk and adds to the pier experience.
Megan M — Google review
The Roundhouse aquarium was nice!!! Two stories, tightly packed with well- labeled sea life in clean aquariums!
Lee H — Google review
🐬The Roundhouse Aquarium, perched at the end of the Manhattan Beach Pier, is a hidden gem that offers an intimate and engaging marine experience. Housed within a charming building reminiscent of coastal architecture, this small aquarium makes a big impact with its immersive displays and welcoming atmosphere. Upon approaching, visitors are greeted by “Manny,” a larger-than-life white shark sculpture that piques curiosity and excitement. Once inside, the aquarium offers a fascinating peek into the underwater world with exhibits like the “Immersion Gallery.” This unique exhibit captivates guests with jellyfish gracefully floating in vibrant, illuminated tanks, creating an almost ethereal ambiance. Despite its modest size, the Roundhouse Aquarium impresses with well-curated educational content, interactive displays, and an inviting environment perfect for families, tourists, and locals alike. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, eager to share insights and answer questions, making the visit both informative and enjoyable. Whether you’re taking a leisurely stroll along the pier or exploring the marine life within, the Roundhouse Aquarium provides a delightful stop. It’s a beautiful blend of education, wonder, and oceanfront charm—a must-visit destination for those exploring the scenic Manhattan Beach area.
Ramin H — Google review

Live Oak Park is a beloved recreational spot with various amenities spread across nearly nine acres. It's one of the city's oldest parks and hosts the annual Old Hometown Fair in October. The park features separate play areas for young and older children, six tennis courts, a basketball court, multipurpose fields, picnic spots with grills, restrooms, and drinking fountains.
Live Oak Park has seen me in every phase of my life. Whether it be hitting dingers in my Little League Baseball League, playing pick up basketball as a kid against grown men, taking tennis lessons (I was trash at tennis), or running around here in middle school with my group of friends, Live Oak has been instrumental in my growth as a man. Most recently, it's been here for me when I come back from NYC and just want to get some shots up alone. Nothing as cathartic as grabbing the new basketball my Granny just got me, popping my airpods in, and doing the basketball workouts I used to do as a kid when hoop dreams were all I cared about. Something about reconnecting with that part of myself just eases the stresses that come with adulthood. I think that chubby insecure kid would be proud of who I am today, and that makes me smile. It's good to look back at your past and appreciate who you've become... But don't stare at it, or you'll end up staying there. Look back, smile, and keep pushing forward. I also randomly seen Kendrick Lamar doing a prison workout here a few years back. That was a trip lol. THANK YOU LIVE OAK! THANK YOU GRANNY I LOVE THIS NEW BASKETBALL! IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

Nice place for all ages. Came for toddler for multiple featured items fenced in play area. They have older kids area on other side with tennis, basketball and baseball diamonds. Place is well kept and a pleasure to go to. Parking was fine today but people park here on weekends and head for the beaches half mile away. Has a few picnic tables and uses the newer rubber matting around the sand box and swings They do have some raised fire boxes.

Downtown Manhattan Beach is a laid-back Southern California outdoor shopping destination with upscale shops, restaurants, and boutique hotels along Manhattan Beach Boulevard and nearby streets. It offers beach volleyball, surfing, ocean-front dining, and hometown charm. The area is less than 10 miles from SoFi Stadium. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful beach and iconic pier with opportunities for people-watching and surfing lessons. However, it's important to be cautious near the pier due to strong waves.
Such a lovely place to walk around. Lots of food places.

Beautiful beach. I was surprised to be able to enjoy a beach so close to airport and LA. The pier is beautiful to watch the waves crash underneath, and the beach is super fun to people watch on. We saw people getting surfing lessons here, and surfers out on the water. You must stay away from water when close to pier, for it is dangerous there. We watched a kid that for too far out and was struggling and the life guard missions that occurred. It was amazing. The life guards safely brought him back in even having to manuver around the pillons. Impressive work.

Great area with lots of shopping and places to eat. The views of the ocean are picturesque and there is plenty to do for couples and families alike. Couple of drawbacks - the steep slopes as you walk away from the sand can be problematic for folks who are not good walkers (ie - elderly and little ones). Parking at peak times is a challenge even with parking garages and lots close by.
Peter H — Google review
Nice place to walk around. Pretty bumpin on weekend nights. A TON of food and drink places to drop by. Would deffs look at making reservations if you're looking to dine out on the weekend, but you can find a spot if you're not too picky with where you sit and are not starving (as we were). Definitely a nice walk, what the movies show LA beaches to be like.

The Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden, situated in Polliwog Park, is a charming and compact non-profit garden that showcases a diverse array of native flowers, grasses, and trees. This volunteer-run demonstration garden is dedicated to promoting sustainable gardening practices and the use of drought-tolerant plants. Visitors can explore the garden at their leisure any day of the week from dawn until dusk without an admission fee.
Very sweet and full of good info about flora, fauna, and conservation. Lots of families with children walked thru the garden while i was there. The surrounding park is great for kids.

The most adorable little local botanical garden I have stumbled upon. My husband and I were feeding the ducks by the lake and noticed some signs on the hill. We went up and walked through this garden. It was so well kept, had great information on all of the plants, a nice water feature and a little picnic area. I saw a lot of pollinators around! The sage and rosemary smelled amazing. It’s worth a walk through!

It's a small pretty garden that's free and leads to a big park by a lake with lots of geese. Parking was easy too.

Parking: in street and free, not many spots. Free entry Decent little garden built on a hillside. Worth a visit If you're in the area. Plants are well labeled and there's a bulletin board with information about the plants and animals in the area. Tells you what plants are indigenous. There's also a little stream running through the garden.
Alan R — Google review
It's a nice little walk around the garden. Very quiet and relaxing with the little waterfall they have running, the plants are very well labeled, they have a bees hotel 😁 parking is on the street, if you follow the map it will take you to the entrance before the actual garden entrance.

I was surprised to learn there was a botanical garden in Manhattan Beach. Street parking was easy, free to enter located right next to Polliwog Park. The garden itself is quite small, neatly tended with a few benches scattered throughout, a meditation garden and a butterfly sanctuary. There is a path that connects the garden to Polliwog Park, there is a pond with ducks and geese and plenty of park equipment for the little ones.

The Manhattan Beach Art Center is a small gallery with changing exhibits every month, offering a quiet and peaceful ambiance. Visitors can enjoy cool paintings and engage in free activities like creating art with beads. The center also hosts various events throughout the year, including arts and crafts expos, live entertainment productions, and engaging guest speakers. It's praised for its friendly staff and excellent art teachers.
A lovely place to visit, if you are in and around the area. The place has some really unique and interesting art pieces. It is not a big place but definitely worth stopping by and spending 20-30 mins here. Ample parking, next to the park and enjoy the art.

The nearby coastal town of Manhattan Beach is most well-known for its beaches, but it’s home to a number of prominent cultural attractions as well. The Manhattan Beach Art Center hosts a variety of year-round events, including arts and crafts expos, live entertainment productions, and guest speakers aimed at engaging the community. The center is located on Manhattan Beach Boulevard near other area attractions, making it convenient to visit for those looking to combine a day at the beach with other more engaging cultural activities. Depending on traffic, Manhattan Beach is usually less than a ten-minute drive from Hawthorne.

Bruce's Beach, situated in Manhattan Beach, California, is a picturesque sandy beach offering opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, and kayaking. Nestled amidst beachfront houses and cafes, this coastal gem holds significant African-American history. Once owned by Charles and Willa Bruce, the beach stands as a symbol of resilience and perseverance. Visitors can enjoy the serene location with stunning ocean views and take leisurely strolls along the shore to the pier.
Bruce’s Beach is a historic landmark and a popular gathering spot for those looking for a getaway in the beach cities. The area features controlled parking and offers stunning vistas. You can relax on the grassy knoll or head down to the beach. No matter where you are in the Bruce’s Beach area, you’ll find yourself in a beautiful oasis.

The history behind Bruce's beach is something all California's should know. So much hostility over such a small sliver of land. The view though is amazing, the atmosphere has been great everything I visit and in many ways it feels like an homage to the original owners of Bruce's beach. Its an amazing place to catch the sunset.
Janelle R — Google review
It was a wonderful beach, wonderful people and the atmosphere was great and the waves were big. Great for surfing. No racial tension. I went on the 4th of July and it was packed. I've been here before earlier this year it wasn't packed. There is limited parking so pack lightly and you're gonna have to walk a distance. There is no food vendors just a beach ⛱️ I still recommend this beach for people who wanna ride bikes and play beach volleyball and walk the beach or get in the water.

So much history on this land . Land Stolen and at least The City tried to do the right thing. I wish the family would have leased it back to the city and collected Generational Wealth for generations to come .

Great place to sit and chill in the grass on the hill. Cool breeze offers a no sweat sunset. My view was awesome. Parking is limited due to its popularity.
DonLAFlow 2 — Google review
One of the best parks overlooking a beach in the Los Angeles county area. 3 levels of grass to picnic, relax and exercise. You can walk to the water from the park in minutes, and even get a quick calisthenics workout in on the parcourse.
Daouda L — Google review
Park seems like a good place to watch the sun set. We were looking for basketball courts and this park has hoops but they’re on a sidewalk so not enough space for a game but you can shoot there.
Amy K — Google review
Beautiful beach area that came with a history lesson. I suggest if you're in this area, stop by the sign that explains the history of this beach. It's right by the bath house and wow, the history that's connected to this area. I most definitely agree with them returning the beach to the families that once owned it and was taken from them. Again, worth the history lesson! 💝 My son and I enjoyed spending the day here.

The Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center is a large venue that hosts various forms of entertainment, including musicals, ballet, and speaker series. It boasts a contemporary lobby and offers ample space for performers to prepare in a separate area. While some attendees expressed dissatisfaction with the hosting and DJ skills during a recent event, the venue itself is well-equipped to handle large productions. However, improvements can be made in terms of managing breaks between performances more professionally and ensuring that performers have enough time for their acts.
This venue has an awesome sound system. The staff are pleasant helpful in the parking lot, the entrance and with directions to your seat. I came during Christmas holiday to see the iconic, Debbie Allen’s Hot Chocolate NutCracker. Plenty of free parking. Clean bathrooms and comfortable seating.

This is a lovely venue, Redondo Beach Senior Services hosted their annual health fair in their lobby area. I peaked at the auditorium and it was fabulous. I will keep an eye out for other interesting performances from this experience - I'll Be Back! 👍🏽

Staff was rude about everything. What really got me was trying to park my dad's walker in the handicap section. The guy was just confrontational. You can't put that there. It was there before intermission, in a proper spot. Where else should I put it? I wil take it. Ya, no. Then what? Emergency, bathroom, whatever I am not going to hunt for you while dad pees his pants because you took his legs somewhere.
Ellen D — Google review
I attended a training here and it’s an excellent spot for presentations. Great acoustics, a large screen for slides & the lighting is great. Seating is setup with enough spaces to walk through a section without having seated patrons having to stand up. Also the seats are comfortable enough. It’s a pretty big location with lots of parking spots.

Perfect size to enjoy a live concert. I attended the annual Slack Key Festival (Hawaiian style guitar). It’s a fun event and definitely worth putting on your calendar annually. This was my second time for the Slack Key Festival and it was awesome! Great Hawaiian entertainment, music and singing from Hawaiian greats! The seats were comfortable to sit in for the 2 hour concert. Viewing is good from all seats.

We attended our 2024 annual event to see The Chocolate Nutcracker. Due to a tent in the parking lot, parking was off-site, which added extra time to our arrival. When we got to our seats, we discovered that two older women, whom I referred to as "church ladies," were sitting in them. We opted to take other seats for the time being. During intermission, one of the women removed her wrap and prepared to leave it on her seat. I quietly whispered to the lady next to me, "You are in our seats." As she stood up, the other woman asked, "They don't want to switch?" My partner replied, "No, we want to sit in our purchased seats." He was aware that they were in our seats when we arrived, as the usher had escorted us there. I only realized they were in our seats at intermission, but their guilty, stiff postures made it clear they were "entitled seat stealers" reluctant to give up their great end seats. To make matters worse, my view of the first act was entirely obstructed by a very tall person seated in front of me. This was a significant disappointment, as I had zero visibility of the performance. To prevent similar incidents in the future, I suggest training ushers to quickly and quietly remove individuals who are knowingly occupying the wrong seats before they leave as these two ladies had no intention of moving.

Whether you're enjoying pub grub like fish tacos and burgers or sipping on their famous Bloody Marys, Shellback Tavern provides an authentic beach bar experience that has stood the test of time.
Went here after a NFL game at SoFi stadium. I like these kind of bars, very cozy, cool people and good food. Good view on the pacific, especially on sunset. Highly recommended.

Lovely bar as close to Manhattan Beach/Pier as you can get. Good selection of drinks, good music, great service. Always make a point of dropping in when visiting the area.
Shane — Google review
I can't praise this place enough. First of all, the staff is amazing, extra friendly, genuine, helpful, and made the lunch experience with the family fantastic. Our server was absolutely fantastic. You could tell he really did want to work there and was happy to be doing so. I even asked another server who had brought us drinks where a good tackle shop was and he said he didn't know, but would find out. Even though I told him not to worry it was no big deal, he returned 2 minutes later with a couple places to go. Even if the food was subpar, the atmosphere of a dive bar by the beach with a staff like that would have still meant 5 stars, but the food was absolutely fantastic. We had a pitcher of beer and it was the coldest tap beer I've ever had...the sign of a good bar. We got their famous chicken tenders and they were outstanding. We got a couple burgers and some tacos, and everything was extremely delicious, fresh, hot, and made with care. I highly recommend this place and can't praise the staff enough. This place has an energy that can't be matched, and we have found our go to in MB!

Being a former sailor, I just had to stop by Shellback Tavern to see what it was all about. I felt like shore patrol would stop by and drag me out, which is a good thing! This is a wonderful little spot with a local vibe. Everyone is so warm, laid back and friendly. I tried their mango cart beer which is definitely a must try if you visit. The fish and chips were incredible and very generous portions along with very fresh fries. The chef even comes out to check to make sure you’re happy with your order. If you’re ever in Manhattan Beach and have never visited this restaurant, you’re missing out.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch and a few drinks after a 3 mile walk. Our bartender was incredible! The entire staff was very nice and seemed to actually be happy to be there. We decided to go with the fish and chips and it did not disappoint! It was a very generous portion to share and it tasted great. The bartender was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations on food and drinks. The atmosphere is very relaxed and nice. We will be back before heading home on Sunday! Cheers! 🍻

I had went to Shellback Tavern this past weekend. The service was fast, but the bartender put his thumb on the lime covering it, as well the shot was warm..and he wasn’t welcoming at all seemed like it was in a rush Like he was too busy to help me. Overall I think the fast service was the objective. Atmosphere was up but that shot was warm.

AdventurePlex, located just a short distance from Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, is the largest indoor playground in the area. It features a five-level play structure, mazes, tunnels, slides, and ball pits for endless entertainment. The facility also includes Toddler Town, where younger children can safely play in their own little neighborhood with activities like shopping in a miniature supermarket and exploring a beach house. AdventurePlex offers dynamic play programs to encourage healthy habits and develop motor skills in kids.
Came for a kids birthday party. Our kids loved the jungle gym and bounce houses. The private rooms for the parties are spacious and convenient. Staff was friendly. I highly recommend for anyone looking to host a private birthday for younger kids.
Paul C — Google review
The toddler town upstairs feels sparse. It’s cute and well-intended but I wish they had more toys for them to play with. And most of the toys needed batteries replaced so that sucked too. There’s all these cute little tables that would be perfect for coloring but there aren’t any colors or paper either. The toys look a little dirty so I wonder how often they get cleaned. The indoor playground/play gym was neat. There is a section for toddlers where everything is soft, but my toddler enjoyed going in the big kid area too. Neat space. Wish there was more.
Jessica G — Google review
We took our 20 month old son here for "Toddler Town" which is a dedicated space for Toddlers. We were concerned he might be too small but it was perfect.. This is a great location, Toddler Town at APLEX offers a good mix of options for toddlers. Unlike other kiddie play areas, this toddler town was thought out well. When I visited other venues there were limited options for toddlers. Here, our son enjoyed the mock grocery shopping, check-out, and clerk experience the most. They have these cute mini shopping carts and grocery selections are on their level. Again, there are tons of other options to play with: cars, buildings, blocks, car rides, crafts, etc. The staff are attentive and courteous. They also offer room rentals for birthday parties, just bring your own food & decorations. Lastly, it is nice to know our son can grow here with more advanced play options down the road, Lord-willing.

fantastic place for kids to play, explore, and burn off energy. The facility is clean, safe, and full of fun activities for all ages. The staff are friendly, attentive, and great with children
Adriahna M — Google review
This is a great place to bring your kids to play for a while especially if it’s too hot outside or raining. You have to sign a waiver every year (for legal and safety reasons). It’s not so good for kids under 3 years old (even though they are technically allowed and have their own private area), lots of older kids keep going in that area and I saw them pushing younger kids (staff or parents of the older kids not paying attention). It’s kept very clean and well maintained. The toddler play area at the top of the stairs is very nice also with a pretend grocery store, pretend kitchen, etc. Good place for a birthday party or even just for a couple of hours to keep kids entertained.

Disgusting, dust clumps and balls everywhere in the climbing area and toddler zone. It has not been cleaned in years! Definitely unsanitary. Do not go here!!!
Cassie J — Google review
We celebrated our kid's birthday here and it was great. Her friend had a great time playing around and we had our private space in one of the rooms. We had our music and they did great collecting gifts, providing us with refrigerator, escorting guests and managing the kids in the play area. Would definitely recommend this place for small kid parties.

Cute little park, suitable for smaller children. Swings are all toddler seats. There was an agility playground on the other side of the park we didn't play with but geared towards older kids. Picnic benches covered and uncovered.

This park offers a wide variety of different things to do from the swings to the skate park baseball and soccer fields. Direct about is no longer there but this park is a whole lot of fun and very safe space and environment. Please pick up your trash and bottles and have a great time.

Small park, right next to soccer field. A lot of parents are there with chairs watching their kids play on the weekend. We really like the structures here for both little kids and big kids. The one for the little kids looks like a rocket and there are baby swings as well. The older kid section has lots of cool stuff to swing around on. There are also a few picnic benches in the grass area.

Wonderful way to spend a afternoon in the summer with friends and family. Great place for adults, couples, children, of all ages. Beautiful pond with Koi fish and turtles and ducks. Great playgrounds for kids to play with. Wonderful vibes and great music had Elvis last week.

Sitting in the middle of the city, sitting on a hillside with a variety of things to do nearby. Nice view of the lake with some trees for coverage. City has summer of " concerts in the park " program which I find delightful 😊 They place additional Porta potties for large crowd typically on Sunday afternoons.

Maria H — Google review
Best place to be on a summer night! The concerts are great and so are the people. The little lake/pond makes it ideal.
Tracy G — Google review
Nice area to host plays, presentations of music performance. The stands that are looking into the stage area have very wide spacing to accommodate a table, chairs or picnic blanket to sit on the grass. The back of the stage area is the lake so it makes it very nice seen the performers with a lake background. There is steps or a ramp to access the seating area to make it easier from both sides and closer towards the back you could even get some nice shade with the nearby trees. Sumer concerts are held there and draw a very big crowd.
Jose J — Google review
This great ampitheater is home to the super fun summer concerts in the park series, as well as other fun events throughout the year. The steps are nice and broad, and handicapped accessible. The audio is quite good, and there is plenty of space to have a stage and people dance in front of it. The backdrop is the pond - and it's beautiful during the sunset.
