Nature & Wildlife Areas
Haller Park, formerly known as Bamburi Nature Trail, is a seaside natural reserve that offers trails and diverse wildlife. The park is home to various animals such as tortoises, giraffes, hippos, zebras, waterbucks, and over 160 bird species including cranes and pelicans. It was originally an inspiration project in 1971 and has since been transformed into a wildlife park by Dr. Haller.
Great park. You can feed the giraffe, the monkeys, watch the Hippo and alligator feeding and let a 100 year old tortoise. Go at 2-3 pm so you can feed the giraffe and watch the other feeding.
Alex — Google review
It's really an insightful visit. Especially with the guides who take the tour groups and give detailed narration about the facility and how the animals got placed there. Fun fact I didn't know crocodiles can stay without eating for 3 months. Best part of the tour is the viewing the feeding of the crocodile, hippos and giraffes. This usually takes place from 3pm-4.30pm.
Laban W — Google review
Great place to experience the wild in a protected spaces, reptiles, Giraffes, Hippos, Fish, butterfly, snakes . The eco system is so natural, yet well protected. It's great for all age groups. I recommend it as a must visit place for those visiting Mombasa. It's worth it
Maguku E — Google review
Mid Aug 25. 2200 ksh and passed by only kid ticket? Entrance was being torn down and ticketing was by guy under the tree with table. No map or brochure about it at all. Expecting better for the price, as it was almost 10 times what locals pays. And the most interesting was the blueballs monkeys and not even the animals were supposed to be.
Nazib ( — Google review
Its a nature walk experience. Kinda like a zoo but the some animals are free to move around. It has a strict schedule if you want to enjoy the whole experience. Thats following the feeding times. You feed the giraffes. But the hippos and crocodiles are fed so you get to see them out of the water. The park also closses early so you need to plan your time well.
Ibrahim K — Google review
Home of nature. Get there At 11AM for giraffe feeding and also at 4PM for Crocodile, Snakes and Hippos feeding. You will be awed by the beauty.
Moses I — Google review
Nice place to see giraffe and feed the. Also good to see deer , giant tortoise, crocodiles, reptiles, butterfly park etc
Arun S — Google review
It is an interesting place to visit. I enjoyed watching the giraffe feed, tortoise walking on the grass and the huge crocodiles skimming on their cages pools. However, I did not get to see the hippos and the buffalos. I am happy about the rehabilitation of Bamburi quarries into a tourist attraction center. Haller park made my Mombasa worth every coin.

Fort Jesus Museum is a 16th-century Portuguese coastal fort located in Mombasa, Kenya. It was constructed between 1593 and 1596 to secure the safety of Portuguese living on the East Coast of Africa.
A must-visit gem in Mombasa—stunning architecture, engaging exhibits, and captivating storytelling across centuries. Ideal for history buffs, culture seekers, families, or anyone looking to dive deep into coastal Kenya’s heritage. Just plan ahead, pace your visit, and enjoy a stroll through living history.
Shahriar S — Google review
It's such a nice place to visit in Mombasa. You'll learn a lot of historical facts especially about Oman and Arabs in general. It also has a spectacular view of the Indian Ocean.
Mutonyi W — Google review
Some vivid history lessons on kenya's coast & how it's influenced us as a society. Be sure to get a guide from the museum, they quite informative.
Kelvin K — Google review
A must-visit historical landmark in Mombasa! Fort Jesus is one of those places that truly makes history come alive. Walking through its ancient corridors, stone walls, and passages gives you a real sense of what coastal life and trade looked like centuries ago. The cannons, architecture, and carvings have been remarkably preserved, and the ocean views from the upper sections are simply stunning — especially at sunset. I highly recommend taking a guided tour; the guides are very knowledgeable and share detailed stories about the Portuguese, Omani, and British periods, as well as the role Fort Jesus played in protecting Mombasa’s harbor. The Passage of the Arches and the wall engravings were among my favorite spots. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site for a reason — full of culture, heritage, and insight into Kenya’s coastal history. Definitely worth a visit for both locals and tourists.

The expérience at Fort Jesus Museum is worth witnessing.... I'm going share a summary of what it is about Fort jesus is a Portuguese fort in Mombasa, Kenya, Built between 1593-1596, UNESCO World Heritage site since 2011. It Showcases Kenyan coastal history, culture, and Portuguese influence.Features exhibits on Swahili culture, maritime trade, and the fort's history. This is a must visit for history buffs and those interested in East African heritage! A lover of history, you would love it

This place has so much of our history. It's a good activity to do while in Mombasa. But from the vendors and enjoy yourself if you live history
Ann N — Google review
Its not such a big thing everybody makes it out to be...the old way of agriculture and history were interesting. If you go, let a tour guide take you but just keep in mind that he needs to get paid afterwards...set payment rate before he takes you. He arranges Entrance fee and also takes you to elephant tusks and old town.(reason I add those photos as well)
Anneliese S — Google review
Your experience will depend on your guide. You’ll have a West African vibe, but a different story. The fight that went on here with Oman, British and Portuguese is just thrilling. Try to read a bit about the history before you come.

Zoo
Mamba Village is a lively amusement park in Mombasa that offers a variety of attractions for visitors. The park features bumper cars, a merry-go-round, and other rides, as well as a large crocodile farm where guests can ride horses or camels and explore the botanical garden and aquarium. The on-site restaurant serves an adventurous menu featuring game meat such as crocodile, zebra, and ostrich.
Such a Unique Experience 🤍🤍 Visiting Mamba Village was a very nice and memorable experience. The crocodile area felt like stepping into a completely different and beautiful world. It was both exciting and peaceful at the same time. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind, which made the visit even more enjoyable. I truly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something unique to do
Hadeel H — Google review
The experience was good. It is a one time experience kind of thing. You wouldn't want to visit again. Most of the crocodiles are in hibernation mode so they barely move. I would recommend you to ask ahead of time and visit during feeding time. They do have snakes too and you do get to hold a 2yr old small crocodile. The pathway is accessible to elder people too and there is a seating space once you reach the enclosure compound.
Amir A — Google review
Great rides for the kids, decent prices and duration of the rides were amazing. Sarah kitheka is a great host
Abdalla A — Google review
Loved. Loved. Totally loved this experience! Our guide was not only very friendly, but she also discussed so many facts and interesting new learnings about crocodiles and the other repriles they had, with me and my kids as well. It was lovely to watch my children's interest grow, and even after 1.5 hours, they still wanted to learn. I totally recommend Mamba Village. Only caveat is that the structures are old and not so well maintained but this does not take away from the learning experience.
M N — Google review
Adventure. The crocodiles (mamba) will definitely catch your eyes and they're beautiful ❤️👌
Ness A — Google review
We were lucky with the very friendly and informative guide Cynthia. Nevertheless, the parc is old and Big Daddy was not there. Wonder if he even still lives. Still saw a lot of crocs and some snake. Ok go there if you have some spare hours, certainly not a ‘have to see’
Jerry J — Google review
Plenty of crocodiles to see and a few snakes. Would recommend a visit if you have kids. 350 ksh per adult resident rate. Payment by card or M pesaro only - no option to pay by cash. Child buggy cannot be taken on trail as it is uneven and bumpy. Cafe available on site for hard and soft drinks. Staff and guide were friendly and helpful Takes about 30-40 minutes to do a round visit. Good experience overall. There is Opportunity to touch or carry a baby Croc and the snakes if you like. In terms of feedback- the snake area needs to be updated and better maintained Containers were dirty. Phone Numbers on Google were not working suggest an update be made.
Priyen — Google review
It was a great experience to see 300+ crocodiles together. The lady guide named synthiya was amazing 🙏🙏 . Once you are in Mombasa you must visit mamba village. The suggestion to mamba village is to improve cleanliness.rates are 350 for residents & 800 for non resident 👍

Park
Mombasa Marine Park & Reserve is a stunning destination for ocean enthusiasts. The park covers 84 square kilometers and offers clear blue waters teeming with diverse marine life, making it perfect for snorkeling and diving. While the beach may be less crowded, visitors can enjoy camel rides, boat trips to the coral reef, and opportunities to swim and feed the fish. Safety is ensured with guaranteed safety measures in place.
We had a great experience. The guides were patient
Stephen O — Google review
My expectations let me done You'll feed fish and swim in the ocean. In the park you'll also see a variety of sea creatures. The best time to travel is 10 AM to 1 PM with low tides.
Ndegeya K — Google review
very convenient place for family members in Mombasa. it was crowded when I passed it by. intimate and peaceful atmosphere.
Fadhl A — Google review
Beautiful ocean with so much fish. My kids swam and the divers helped them manoeuvre. Pros, the divers were polite and have all life jackets sizes, cons, the boat looked a little bit dilapidated. I'd have preferred a newer looking boat, but apparently there's a lineup to be followed. Regardess it was a lovely experience.
K M — Google review
Activities offered snorkeling, swimming in the ocean and seeing fish under the glassboat. Good experience for both adults and kids
Martha W — Google review
This is an experience one needs to try out when they visit Mombasa. You pay for the permit which is really affordable and then pay for the boat ride which is about 1000 kshs per person (after negotiating). The gents in charge are so kind and I suggest you carry some kshs for a tip. It's really safe and you are given a life jacket. You can even swim if you would like to.
Wolo W — Google review
Beautiful breach which is less crowded unlike pirates, unfortunately there are no food vendors but you will find camel rides, boat rides to the coral reef, see star fish and get a chance to swim and feed the fish along the coral reef. Safety is guaranteed. The only setback is there is vehicle accessible entrance to the beach. You have to leave your car on the road about 1Km away. I got lucky and used the Serena gate and the staff were generous enough to permit me to use their parking and access the marine park from their hotel. I bought drinks from their hotel as a way of saying thank you.
Muriithi M — Google review
I definitely enjoy my visits here, the coral is beautiful and the 🐟 🐠 amazing. Feeding them is the best part. You should definitely make a visit and ask for Captain Mohammed or Captain Yahya very professional. Also you can hire a huba cat with Captain Shawn 👌 and experience the best ride. Marine Park services are very professional and accommodative

5Bombolulu Coast Workshop and Cultural Centre

Cultural center
Located near Mombasa, Kenya, the Bombolulu Coast Workshop and Cultural Centre was established in 1969 to support the physically disabled community by providing housing, education, medical aid, and employment. This non-profit organization offers vocational training and produces handcrafted jewelry, textiles, pottery, and leather goods for both local and international markets. Visitors can tour the workshops to learn about their work and purchase beautiful handicrafts made by skilled artisans.
All I can say is, WOW! I’m so glad I stopped by here before leaving Mombasa. This was the highlight of my trip! This is a compound that employs differently-abled people as artisans. The guide, Ronald, has been here for 41 years. He does an amazing job walking visitors around the five types of art folks do. There’s also a cultural component of the tour at the end where you can see the old types of homes different tribes lived in, an old Swahili home, and a cultural dance performance. The tour was 750 shillings and it begins and ends at the gift shop. The gift shop has many beautiful items, all handmade by the resident artists. I found the prices to be very fair, particularly considering it goes to maintain the compound, take care of staff, and run a primary school for the staff’s kids. In total, there are 34 artists. You can pay for the tour and the gift shop using cash, card or MPESA. I wasn’t able to watch the dance because I didn’t have cash on hand and I didn’t want them to feel pressured to perform without my paying them. I’m sure I missed out! The tour is about an hour or so long and shopping will take about an hour. Highly recommend visiting and I hope to visit sometime in the future. Thank you ☺️
Sophia S — Google review
Must visit for every tourist in my opinion. Don’t miss out to buy something at the souvenir store to support their work.
Peter B — Google review
Received a 5 star service. From the introduction to the explanation on various cultures of the Kenyan population. Re-learning your culture and your neighbour's, epic!
Swimming C — Google review
The facility is indeed a fascinating initiative. It's a workshop and cultural center where all the workers have disabilities, engaging in a variety of enterprises such as crafting traditional handicrafts, manufacturing hand-pedaled wheelchairs, and dyeing fabrics. The guide who showed you around has been working there for over 40 years, which speaks volumes about the dedication and passion behind this project. The entry fee and guiding is 750 Ksh. Once you arrive, you should first look for the souvenir shop, which also serves as the reception. There, you'll be assigned a guide. Beyond just being a place only for manufacturing crafts, the facility functions like a small town, complete with residential areas and a school. This holistic approach not only provides employment but also builds a supportive community for people with disabilities, making it a unique and impactful model worth supporting and exploring.
Daisuke S — Google review
Paid for a bracelet to be made, however, they decided to make it as they want, not as we agreed! Then, upon asking, I'm told, they can refund. It's not about the refund but wasting my time. All this after visiting for the first time and buying 3 items. Greatly disappointed.
Andrew A — Google review
The best place for unique handicrafts made by persons with disability. You will find the cultural center a unique preservation of cultural heritage of various communities in Kenya and the way they lived before modern civilization
Julius M — Google review
The name Bombolulu actually comes from two names joined together; bombo and Lulu, local names for two different birds. The centre covers a large area with plenty of open spaces. It embodies what empowerment of people living with disabilities is all about. Other than giving them tricycle wheelchairs (either directly or through sponsorship), it accords them to exercise their craft and earn from it. As expected, all entrances are wheelchair accessible. The cultural dancers entertain you at the end of the facility tour.
Ouya O — Google review
Lots to see tour guide was great . 750ksh for a tour you can just turn up and you can pay cash or card . He was very informative about the culture centre and the work they do although was a shame most of the workshops were shut because it was a weekend

Mombasa Go-Kart and Adventure Park, situated in Mombasa North Coast, is a top destination offering an array of activities such as go-karting, zip-lining, paintball, and bull riding. It's conveniently accessible by public transportation and ride-hailing services. The park also features modern attractions like mini-golf and family-friendly activities. With a professionally designed track for safe racing, it's suitable for both kids and adults.
We took the 1 hour for 2800 each. Sent mpesa transfer to the lady as I don't have mpesa so I used an app to transfer funds..was asked for extra 100 for withdrawal. I enjoyed my time and yes they are focused on safety. I don't know what you got for the 10 minutes but I had training lap, qualifying lap 5 laps, and the race 10 laps. I'm not competitive but they didn't take into consideration the qualifying lap at all for the race but I didn't care. Some might, though, as it was not enforced. Very helpful staff on the track and also on the restaurant for the most part. I would give it 4.5 because of the lady presenting the winners disregarding my discomfort needing to be seated next to a fan because of extreme heat nowadays March 2025. I would recommend and yes I would go back. I noticed kart #14 was much more powerful than #6 when I tried. Winner had kart #1! First time doing karting hopefully not the last. I liked how safety measures were enforced it seemed professional. Didn't try the food, or anything else just the go kart For more detailed unbiased reviews do not hesitate to follow.

If I could give zero stars to this place! I would! I have never been treated with such disrespect. We ordered food that we DID NOT get and then they forced us to pay or they called the police. The owner was an absolute disgrace. Tourists PLEASE BE WARNED! This place is horrible the food is bad and overcooked, the prices for rides are extremely overpriced. I really hope this business ceases to operate here, because from the terrible food and customer service they do not deserve to be operational. Many of the rides are broken and the wait for everything is extremely long in the heat. I hope another place opens and this one closes. They have a terrible system with the GoKarts and are simply trying to steal from their customers. I will be making more reviews of this place. UPDATE: since the “owner” has responded in a very immature and inappropriate fashion. I will continue to admonish people to stay away. The owners response to my initial review clearly demonstrates how disgraceful this place is and they absolutely have no consideration for the quality of their place and customer satisfaction. Please proceed with caution and use this discourse as more reason not to attend. I will work tirelessly to ensure people are not treated this way. Absolutely reprehensible behavior

We often come here with our staff and also with our drivers who received their German work permits. I have been visiting since 2005, and every single time the experience has been excellent. Never once have I had a reason to complain. It’s truly unbelievable how Go Kart Shanzu has managed to maintain such a high standard for so many years.

Affordable and good fun. They allow kids as young as 3 year to drive with assistance. 10mins ride costs 900/- per child. Safety gear was provided and pre driving instructions were clear. A footwear was provided ( make sure you have your own socks!) We went at 7pm, lights were not the best but did the job. Track is around 500M and cars are decent. Adults pay 1800/- for 10mins. Track and lap records are shared at the end. This was one of the more affordable go kart venues I have been to. There is a restaurant and kids play area as well.
Murtaza B — Google review
The grilled fish was undercooked and probably one of the worst I’ve ever tasted. The salami pizza was also disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this place for food, but it’s worth visiting for the fun activities. Respond to your comment: Reviews like mine are meant to help improve the experience for everyone, and I believe it’s important to be honest about what stood out and what could be better. The least I expect in return is an acknowledgment of the feedback and a commitment to improving rather than shifting focus elsewhere. I hope my review can contribute to positive changes.

My visit to Mombasa Go-Kart and Adventure Park with my family and friends was an absolute blast from start to finish. From the moment we stepped foot into the park, we were greeted by an atmosphere buzzing with excitement and anticipation. The park's layout is well-designed, with a variety of activities spread out in a spacious and picturesque setting. We started off with the go-kart racing, and let me tell you, it was an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride like no other. Zooming around the track, competing against each other, and feeling the wind rush past us was an exhilarating experience that left us all grinning from ear to ear. What truly sets Mombasa Go-Kart and Adventure Park apart is its diverse range of activities. After our intense go-kart races, we decided to tackle the adventure course. From rope bridges to zip lines, cargo nets to climbing walls, the obstacle course provided a perfect blend of challenge and fun for both kids and adults alike. It was fantastic to see everyone pushing their limits and cheering each other on as we conquered each obstacle. Throughout our visit, the park staff were friendly, attentive, and dedicated to ensuring our safety and enjoyment. They provided clear instructions before each activity and were always on hand to offer assistance or guidance whenever needed. Their professionalism and enthusiasm added to the overall positive experience of our visit. One of the highlights of the day was the picnic area where we took a break to refuel and recharge. The park provides ample seating and shaded areas, making it a perfect spot to relax, enjoy some snacks, and soak in the vibrant atmosphere. We appreciated the cleanliness and upkeep of the facilities, which further enhanced our enjoyment of the day. Overall, our time at Mombasa Go-Kart and Adventure Park was nothing short of fantastic. It's the perfect destination for families and groups of friends looking to spend quality time together in a fun and thrilling environment. Whether you're a daredevil seeking adventure or simply looking to unwind and have a good time, this park has something for everyone. We left with unforgettable memories and a newfound appreciation for the thrill of adventure. We'll definitely be back for more adrenaline-pumping fun in the future!

Nguuni Nature Sanctuary is a vast wildlife preserve just a short drive from Bamburi. It's home to giraffes, ostriches, waterbucks, and various bird species. Visitors can enjoy picnics and guided tours while taking in the beautiful African wildlife. The sanctuary offers the opportunity to relax by a campfire with a cold drink as you watch the sunset amidst the bush.
What an experience to walk among giraffes and see how tall they actually are, to pick up tortoises who are too slow to run away from you and have no choice, and to get bitten by an ostrich. It is a way to spend the weekend, bring your picnic basket and favourite Afrobeats tunes. It's like a party in there. The staff was super nice and knowledgable about the animals. Just take in mind that it's not a zoo, the animals will roam right next to you, but that doesn't mean you should be chasing them around. That's not going to end well, obviously. Just a heads up if you're getting dropped off in the entrance, you still need to walk about 1km in. But it is a nice scenic walk to get to the animals.
Kit T — Google review
My partner and I just finished an amazing guided birdwatching tour this morning! We booked it pretty late the day prior, but they were incredibly accommodating. Our guide Omar was so knowledgeable about all the birds in the area, and had eyes like a hawk that spotted even the smallest of birds. He was fantastic, and I wish we had more time in the area to come back again! I didn’t take many photos since I only had my phone camera, but do suggest bringing a set of binoculars!
Elizabeth O — Google review
I had such an amazing experience at this Nguuni late last year. The place provided a serene environment to unwind, picnic and also share an intimate experience with the wild. The place is far from the main gate so i recommend using personal vehicle for easy accessibility or also you can always use local tuktuks.
Tashanel L — Google review
The sanctuary is a great spot for a picnic, games, or just relaxing. The roads are a bit rough, so it’s best to plan ahead for a car or tuk-tuk. It was amazing to see giraffes and ostriches up close. This is a wonderful place to visit, as long as animal safety measures are properly observed. I hope the sanctuary takes steps to ensure the protection of these animals.
Hellen B — Google review
Oh wow. Hidden gem of a place. 1000 shillings for foreigners and 400 for residents. Maybe a 20 minute walk to the picnic/viewing area with shaded huts to sit and watch. At first it was about 5 oryx antelopes that wandered out. Then the two guides got the herd of giraffes to appear. They were all very tame and comfortable eating around the viewing area. So many amazing photos. The giraffes have free range but the park is a few km wide so be patient with the guides as they round up the giraffes. 2 thumbs up!

Amazing hidden gem in Mombasa! Walk with the giraffe and have a picnic with them! Buy your tickets directly from the Sanctuary in advance! Ask your driver to take you onto the Sanctuary to View Point. Arrange for a guide to meet you there. Our guide - Omar was amazing. So patient, friendly, knowledgeable and very considerate and caring. We had to walk through mud up to the view point and our trainers were ruined but we had much fun on the walk. Slipping and sliding everywhere! It was worth every moment - once you see the tortoise and giraffes. This was truly a perfect ending to our time in Kenya and after seeing giraffes around Kenya, feeding giraffes at Nairobi National Park - this was the ultimate - up close and personal.
D.M — Google review
If you fancy being in close proximity to giraffes, ostriches and gemsboks without the presence of a barricade, then this is the place for you. Carry your own meals and have a picnic by the giraffes or at the sundowner site. Having a personal vehicle for commute through the sanctuary is advised due to the distance from the entrance to where the animals are. Outstanding views are nonetheless promised as you take that drive to the animals and rid yourself of the fear of these beautiful creatures; only then will you truly enjoy your experience. In summary, a beautiful picnic spot that is lacking in your bucket list🫵🏾 ~22 Aug 2023~

Good family attraction. The site is a former quarry revitalised in a project inspired by Haller Park. There’s a small open-air museum presenting the main Kenyan tribes, with hands-on activities and a dance performance.

Nyali Beach is a picturesque stretch of white sand that attracts visitors looking to swim, sunbathe, picnic, and unwind. It offers a serene escape close to the city with pristine water quality. The beach is popular during weekends, drawing families and friends seeking relaxation amidst palm trees and soft sands.
Great and thrilling place, but in the afternoons the tides rise too high, and the beach shores are covered by water, I recommend visiting in morning hours. Also the water is salty, avoid metallic wearables to prevent theme from coroding.

Quiet, clean, warm, beautiful. Local beach with few tourists. The sand is magnificent, brilliant white that doesn't get hot. The water was warm and the waves were perfect for all ages. Yeah there is a few sellers and camel owners at the beach, but they are not overly exhausting or unfriendly. Just be polite, say no and enjoy the Indian ocean by sunset. Magical.

It's a good chill out space if you want to experience the sea breeze, the ocean view, see the speed boat riding and for swimming. However, it's overcrowded in holidays

Jumba La Mtwana, which means Big House of Slaves in Swahili, is a significant historical site located near Mtwapa Creek, about 15 kilometers north of Mombasa. Dating back to the 14th or 15th century, these ruins offer a glimpse into the area's rich past and its role as an important trade center for Swahili, Chinese, and Arab traders.
Jumba la Mtwana – A Journey Through Swahili History Jumba la Mtwana is a fantastic place to spend quality time with family while exploring the rich history of early Swahili culture. This ancient city, built around 1300, offers a glimpse into the past with its well-preserved ruins and fascinating stories. The entrance fee is quite affordable, with payments made via the government portal eCitizen – Ksh 100 for adults, Ksh 50 for kids, plus a Ksh 50 eCitizen fee. The process is straightforward, ensuring easy access to this historical gem. A special mention goes to Kevin, the local in-house guide, who took us through the site, explaining everything in English with great detail and enthusiasm. His deep knowledge and engaging storytelling made the experience even more meaningful. If you're in the area, Jumba la Mtwana is a must-visit for history lovers, families, and anyone looking to connect with Kenya's Swahili heritage.

It's a really nice beach to picnic because it's not busy at all. It can also be a good place yo swim when the tide is high. The museum, or site, is a lovely place to have a brief walk before heading to the beach. If you walk far enough down the beach, you could also find a few nice restaurants.

Located in Shanzu Mtwapa, this historical site is one to behold, the ruins and extensive learning you get to learn about different trees and how they are used by the community just explains why we are told that learning never stops. The entrance fee is 100 kshs per adult and 50 kshs per child for Kenyan citizens which is paid via ecitizen. After walking around the ruins you can walk to the beach and enjoy the views. They also have a restaurant,Moonsoon restaurant that you can drink or eat something during your visit here.

Carina P — Google review
I had never heard of this place before 😆😆😆 so, after it was mentioned to me, I decided to visit so that I could stop being the only one in Mombasa who had never been there ....lol 😂 The reception was lovely though the payment process was long. You have to pay for you to enter the place, it's affordable 😉. There is a guide person who will be taking you round the place and giving you more information about things at the place. It's a good place to have a picnic because there is also a beach which you can access once you've paid the entrance fee. Good and amazing place to take pictures if you have a camera or a good phone 🤣🤣. The place is big with just remains of houses where others are labelled while others aren't. The place is historical because even the trees at that place look way older than I am or will be in the next 20 years 😁. There are dustbins around places so that the place can always be clean at all times, like no disposing of dirt around. Next time I'll be visiting the place with a lot of my friends and show them around and take cool pictures . N/B - The beach should be cleaned though, it was very dirty when I was there.
Diana C — Google review
If you are not a history buff, chances are that you may not enjoy the historical undertones of the ruins here. Other than its historical significance, it offers a quiet and serene place awash with the peace of an untamed forest. There is a certain sense of closeness to nature that grips you, with plenty of centuries old trees dotting the landscape. An ideal place for a picnic by the beach front. There's proper waste management, making the place clean. Customer service is excellent.
Ouya O — Google review
Third time here. I love the serenity of the place especially on the weekdays. I tour the Ruins, then settle on one of the benches and read or just write. You can also stroll the shore while you listen to a podcast or just silently lost in your own thoughts. They also sell some snacks like peanuts albeit expensively. The tickets are very affordable. You can also ask for a guide to take you through the Ruins and give you the history of each excavation. They have a small museum as well. The only downside is you cannot go farther down the beach because it is not safe. People have been mugged and harassed so be careful. The museum is also not well maintained.

This the first Anglican church to be built in Mombasa. It's so outstanding with that white colour all round and the design is amazing. To even think it's still standing 50 plus years it just shows what a magnificent landmark it is as it's so close to Fort Jesus. It's easily accessible and it would be great to combine a visit of the cathedral with Fort Jesus. The best part is one isn't charged to enter the compound and one is free to walk around and if lucky meet a member who shares the history of the church with you. I generally enjoyed my visit here.

Shanzu Beach in Mombasa is a serene and beautiful destination for a memorable beach holiday. The long stretch of the beach offers a peaceful atmosphere, free from persistent vendors. Visitors can enjoy activities such as boat rides, jet skis, and stunning ocean views. The area is known for its cleanliness and breathtaking sunsets, making it an ideal spot to unwind and relax.
Loved the place, not too crowded and adequate security
Carlson N — Google review
I really like this beach in shanzu the Serena area. It is not too crowded, the beach stretch is long enough for a good walk. I like that there no people constantly trying to sell you something unlike pirates. I go here to walk, read and just relax. There are also activities such as boat rides and jet ski's. I haven't gone on any so I don't know the cost. There are a few hotel's as well. You can go for a drink or a meal after your walk, swim or run. It is also clean and the sunsets are quite a thing.

The ocean views are breathtaking. Entrance is free. My best place to spend the evening while in Mombasa.
Nakaggwa D — Google review
A very clean and beautiful beach, so calm and relaxing especially in the mornings. There are also so many thrilling activities to try out at this beach such as glass boat rides, snorkeling, beach safaris, camel rides, jet ski's, wind surfing, dhow rides, kite surfing and much more.

Nestled along Moi Avenue in Mombasa, the Pembe Mbili Monument, also known as the Mombasa Tusks or Mapemba ya Ndovu in Swahili, stands as a striking tribute to the city's history. These impressive tusks were originally erected to honor a royal visit and have since evolved into an iconic symbol of Mombasa. As you drive down this vibrant road, you'll find it hard to overlook these magnificent structures that capture both local culture and heritage.
Not so much traffic, clean and easy access to transport services.

Enjoy a night at this casino , it’s in a good location behind City Mall. The cards were a little too much to get of the machines.
Lucy A — Google review
Is not allowed to win.. There is a manager lady at the poker tables and after 2 days of a small win she was telling to the dealers to put their hands at front when they mix the cards, probably she thought that i am the Houdini.. She looked so disappointed after a small win of me, food is ok, waiters are very good!

Charles C — Google review
This place was very professional and friendly staff. We had a great time and the vibe was super chilled. Comparing to other casinos where they come and stand behind you, here I was left to play my machines and no one bothered me. My drink was brought to me and the waiter was very quick with service. I wish they had bingo but overall I really enjoyed myself. It’s my favourite go to place.

Nightmare customer service, Extremely RUDE waitress and bad grooming from head to toe not to a standard that a casino should have. Careless head of staff too i shld say unproffessional. Extreme minimum WIN chance i would Not recommend anyone to go spend money over there.

Millennium Casino Nyali Center Mombasa offers a unique blend of excitement and relaxation for visitors seeking an unforgettable experience. Nestled within the vibrant Nyali International Casino & Beach Hotel, guests can choose from a variety of accommodations, including rooms, suites, and villas to suit their preferences. The casino itself provides an inviting atmosphere with fair roulette games available; however, it's worth noting that the baccarat table is often closed.
Nice casino . Fair roulette , but normally baccarat table is closed. Environment is good. But seems little place for service. Although best place to try your luck.
Hayat S — Google review
80.000 ksh and even by extra games, as rare as they come , only small wins. It seems they rate all machines down, I didn’t see anyone who won a bigger amount. I’ll never go there again.
Mathias F — Google review
Workers act weird towards you and whole place is rundown also no blackjack tables
Christian B — Google review
(Translated by Google) There were few people playing from 12:00 to 17:00. There was no air conditioning, but the good thing was that food and drinks were free. Since there were few people, it wasn't fun to play. (Original) คนเล่นช่วง12:00 ถึง 17:00 น้อย ไม่เปิดแอร์แต่ดีที่ฟรีค่าอาหารและน้ำดื่ม ด้วยคนน้อยเลยเล่นไม่สนุก
