Outdoor Activities
Coco Beach, also known as Oyster Bay, is a popular beach located on the Msasani Peninsula in Dar es Salaam. It offers a vibrant atmosphere with plenty of street food stalls and occasional live music concerts and beach parties. The area is well-developed with ample parking space but visitors should be cautious of overpriced food sold to foreigners. Despite being a public beach, it's considered one of the best in the area with various food and drink options available.
Lovely way to spend time here. There are lots of restaurants and terraces with a great view. If you have time, don't miss it.

What a beautiful place nearest to the city, best place to spend an evening with your loved once.
The O — Google review
Best public beach yet! The guys selling costumes and the rubber tube floaties were very kind and helpful. Their rates are also very affordable... Our clothes, shoes etc were all safe and we had a full day of fun and left late evening. We even had a boat ride which is charged according to no. Of people and distance covered. Not all food is fresh so I would recommend carrying your own bitings and only buy drinks. The fries from the food vendors were OK. If you go with kids, have some cash aside for buying the various things being hawked like balloons, toys, bubbles, etc. Weekdays are less busy than weekends. Highly recommend
Nduta N — Google review
I did not see much beach facilities at this beachfront and it seems this is the best beach in Dar es Salaam (unless I was at the wrong side). It's a beautiful beach in itself and very busy with a lot of restaurants and lounges. I love the waves and breeze here.
Mazi L — Google review
White sands beach...excellent location, and great for swimming and fish😋
Ibrahim Y — Google review
The beach is beautiful. There is lots available to eat and accessories. There is an interesting sea shell place. I prefer to find my own which is possible if you have time and are lucky. The water is warm. The beach is rocky depending on tide. I chilled in the shallows uneasy but Definitely bring along your beach shoes or buy from the locals who want to sell you these. they will sell you on it as there they can find you sea urchins that are present. Prices may vary on all services. They will also try to sell you a shaded place. I always feel someone wants to sell you something and wont be left alone to swim. there is transport available from the beach. There often is broken bottles around but they dont seem to be dangerous. overall a great time out.

View is good but beach is very dirty.full of garbage around the beach.need awareness about clearing in public

Aga Khan Hospital is a modern and beautifully designed hospital located along the Coco Beach coastline in Oysterbay, stretching all the way to a 670-meter high bridge. The hospital offers outstanding service with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The facility integrates well with upgraded roads and offers beautiful views of the Indian Ocean and Tanzanite bridge. It is often compared to a five-star hotel due to its exceptional atmosphere, great services, cafeteria, and prayer hall.
Aga Khan Health Service, Tanzania (AKHS, T) has been providing accessible, high-quality, cost-effective healthcare services to the people of Tanzania for over 90 years. We strive to improve access to care, innovation, and multidisciplinary medicine, while strengthening our local health system to provide impactful care to everyone who needs it. Our staff and physicians take unwavering pride in their work, and dedicate themselves to providing compassionate support at uncompromising standards. Some highlights of our impact include: Expanding Access to Equitable Healthcare Through an Integrated Health System. Our 'Hub & Spoke' model drives increased access to affordable, high-quality services by linking Aga Khan Hospital's tertiary care services as the central hub to Aga Khan Hospital, Mwanza which serves as the sub hub, and our Health Centres that serve as spokes providing a unified continuum of care.
Benjamin U — Google review
Nice services. Value for money paid. But I think some nurses can use training on how to handle patients especially with born conditions like sickle cell anemia. Especially how to inject them because such people’s muscles are not the ones to inject when you are in a hurry and showing no concern at all when the child is saying you are hurting them. If they are being trained, maybe then the nurse I encountered with doesn’t know /want to do the job well. It’s an experience from only one nurse I wouldn’t want to generalize. Maybe hiring character rather than only skills and qualifications might also help. We were given a deadly eye and am sure the nurse wished bad for me and my child. Why? Maybe because I asked to be attended by a different nurse after the nurse living my child crying while we asked the cannula (for the drip) to be removed and placed somewhere else. Thanks to the other nurse he came and saved the day after only one call. Otherwise, It’s a nice hospital. Highly recommended. Very modern

The world class hospital facility in Dar Es Salaam the atmosphere is exceptional, and the services are great it is easily confused to a five star hotel, i can bet. They got a cafeteria here with services envied even by big restaurants, and a prayer hall as well
Shabani M — Google review
Beautifully designed hospital bringing a different perspective of how we imagine hospitals here in Tz. It integrates well with the upgraded roads and offers a beautiful view (depending on the wing) of the Indian ocean and the new Tanzanite bridge. I was lucky to visit the V.I.P rooms and i was impressed with how clean and neat the place was with Plasma TV and sofa coach in the rooms. The ongoing extension on the opposite side of the road will definitely blow my mind upon completion. I just hope that the services here are as great and not business as usual.

We are so glad we made the right decision by choosing Agakhan Hospital Daresalam for the delivery of our precious Son . We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciations to Dr Munawar Kaguta for looking after me during my whole pregnancy and for delivering our Big Boy safely..he was responsive to my messages all the time when I had concerns and questions even after working hours .. Many thanks to Dr Yaseer who attended our Son at the Neonatal ward when he was born and for making sure everything was okay with him . What an extraordinary service we received at the pavilion from all the nurses we saw during our stay at the hospital ,the cleanliness of the room and the food Quality was exceptionally . We would also like to thank Elidiana,Maryam and Coletha for being soo helpfull with making sure we had all the appointments done before hand with the doctors at the Pavilion . Asante sana 🙏🙏

Besides the photos and beautiful scenes. A hospital needs to function in terms of services. This one here does not. Wastes clients' time and treatment to patients is a joke.

Thankyou for looking after my wife Gudila during her stay in hospital and for the birth of our beautiful baby Patrick Joseph who was born on the 16th June 2021. We would also like to give a special thanks to Dr Jane who was with my wife from the beginning. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hello Aga Khan Honestly your reception services are very poor here in Mwanza.. it is astonishing in 2025 to be registered for services takes more than a waiting gap of 2 hours 10 minutes and that is registration only.. I dont know if your systems are down for today or its just the same procedure everyday.. But please improve your service technology has grown way too fast for you to be so slow in giving out quick service..hope you take this positively for improvement

What sets this clinic apart is the attentive and courteous staff who ensure that patients feel comfortable and well-cared for. Second to none in this city perhaps the whole country best location, convinient parking, kids play zone , clean with the uttermost gentle care in the history of dental care. If you ever get a tooth problem this is the one and only place go. Thank you for your spectacular service Esnan Turkish Dental Clinic.

What can I say about Dr. Miriam and Esnan Dental that could truly express how good they are? I was one who HATED going to the dentist but on my 1st visit, Dr. Miriam changed all of that. Her calm demeanor, her attentiveness and confidence had me so at ease before we even started my procedure. To top it off, when she gave me the numbing shot, it didn't even hurt!😅 They have worked on my wife, daughter and grandson and we have had nothing but a pleasant experience. They are absolutely my best recommendation for dentistry in Dar.
J B — Google review
Wanna know what I loved the most? Yes, they accept Jubilee Insurance. Yes, they have excellent equipment. Yes, they have a competent team of doctors. Yes, the space is so spotless that you could eat off the floor. Yes, the location, hours, and parking are awesome that you’ll never have trouble getting here. But the single best thing? I wasn’t just another patient to get rushed out the door as quickly as possible. Everyone was polite, courteous, and attentive in the best possible way. My first time here. I will keep coming back.
Victor M — Google review
I highly recommend Esnan Dental Tukish Clinic for their exceptional service! From start to finish, they provided top-notch care, leaving my son and myself with a positive and pain-free dental experience.
Halima M — Google review
I can unfortunately not recommend this clinic. I went for a very simple procedure but I Ended up paying 40.000 shillings for a consultation and 70.000 for a x-ray which was not needed. I left 110.000 poorer without any procedure done. I didn't even receive a receipt or a copy of the x-ray as promised. I would strongly advise against using this facility.
Anna W — Google review
I really appreciate the service from Esnan Dental Turkish Clinic . They are doing great job, i never regret to get the dental service from Dr Mariam Mtanda. It's better to visit for the best service cause your smile is they are priority.

Dental clinic
Dental Studio, a dental clinic in Dar es Salaam, was established in 2011 with the goal of providing high-quality dental care to patients according to British standards. The clinic offers a wide range of treatments tailored to individual needs and prides itself on its honest and friendly team. The new branch promises the same level of professionalism and service as the original location. Patients have praised Dr. Abbas Haji and Dr.
My experience at Dental Studio this past weekend was amazing. Dr. Abbas is such a knowledgeable, personable and attentive dentist. Truly, the best dental care I've ever experienced. I wish he were located closer to my family (in the USA) because his approach would convince them to get more regular dental checkups! Additionally, his office staff are pleasant, accommodating and responsive. The technology and ambience of the office are top quality and enhance the experience as well.
Kelly M — Google review
Simply put—an outstanding experience! Dr. Abbas & Dr. Ahmed made us feel very comfortable as soon as we walked through the door. The combination of the Dental Studio’s state-of-the-art equipment and both dentists’ congenial manner made me feel like my dental health was their top priority. Dr. Ahmed was extremely informative, taking photos of my teeth with a tiny camera and showing me the before-and-after pictures after the cleaning. This was actually one of the best dental experiences I have ever had.
Ben M — Google review
For the past decade, Dr. Abbas has been my go-to dentist and I simply wouldn't consider seeing anyone else. His approach stands out; he meticulously walks you through every procedure, ensuring utmost comfort. What I particularly appreciate is his transparency in presenting all available options, without exerting any pressure or inducing fear. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Abbas to anyone seeking a compassionate and skilled dentist. He's truly unparalleled in his craft
Fatema D — Google review
The best experience I have had worldwide with a dentist. Didn't feel a thing through a difficult extraction, very reasonably priced and gave me the consultation for free. Dr Ahmed is a gem, has a great sense of humour, and is excellent at his craft. Exceptionally clean and well run clinic with lovely support staff. Highly recommend!
Evelyn A — Google review
I had a great experience! I had a baby dental emergency and felt the need to see a professional quickly. The staff was friendly and organized and Dr. Chagani did a very thorough cleaning and provided a helpful consultation. I dread trips to the dentist and this was quick, painless, and as pleasant as a dental emergency can be. Would go back without question, highly recommend.
Sarah M — Google review
Coming from Europe, it was a very great service, and Dr. Abbas is very knowledgeable, professional and kind! I very much appreciated the very fast reply to my enquiry per WhatsApp and could be at the Dental Studio a few minutes later (a Saturday!). The price is very competitive as well 👍.
Léo B — Google review
Needed an emergency filling. Receptionist really courteous and friendly. Dr Ahmed took time to explain procedures and options. Normally when I’ve been to a dentist I feel like my jaws have been ripped apart but not this time. Dental nurse really careful and unobtrusive with oral vacuum. Highly recommended.
Johnathan G — Google review
Dr. Abbas is a kind, professional, attentive and a brilliant dentist. I have been going to him for a 3 years now. Him and his team have been amazing. I recommend his clinic to anyone having a dental problem or even for a preventive check up.
