Nice seafront view. Well-spaced seatings. Seafood are fresh and food is well-seasoned. Nice variety of options in the menu. Service can be better. I ordered coffee after my meal and the staff seems to have forgotten so I had to remind them. Coffee was not good, better get somewhere else.

The food was delicious; you can tell they use top-quality ingredients. The ceviche was amazing and the wagyu skewers were really good. However, the sashimi and the beef tataki seemed a bit overcooked to me. The king prawns were flavourless and ultra hot. My overall opinion is that they put a lot of effort into making everything so ostentatious, when I strongly believe sometimes less is more. Not to mention the high prices considering the tiny portions. Service was really good, it just seemed a bit strange they don't leave the wine bottle and water bottle at the table.

Salt House was the perfect ending to our holiday in Cairns and an amazing spot to celebrate my partner’s birthday. The atmosphere is just beautiful — relaxed yet refined, with the perfect vibe for a special evening. Our server, Marcus, was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly looked after. The food was incredible from start to finish. We started with the ceviche and beef skewers — both bursting with flavour — and then shared the 1.0 kg steak cooked perfectly to medium (exactly how we like it!). Every bite was spot on. Unfortunately, we had to leave earlier than planned and missed out on dessert, which we were really sad about — but that just gives us a reason to come back! Overall, Salt House exceeded our expectations. The pricing felt fair for a fine dining restaurant of this quality. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Cairns — especially for a special occasion.

We had a wonderful experience at Salt House Cairns. The place is absolutely beautiful, with stunning spaces and an amazing atmosphere. The service was excellent — the staff were so kind and attentive. They were our partners in making my partner’s birthday celebration truly special. We loved the food — every dish was delicious — and the recommendations from our server were spot on. It was such a beautiful and memorable dinner. Highly recommended!

We spent an afternoon lounging here, and then had dinner. There is loads of space and we found a comfortable spot to drink cocktails, read a book, talk, look at people. We really enjoyed the big seafood platter. In the past we've found these can have too much fried food, but this was a good mixture of warm and cold and different cooking methods. Good wines as well. Staff all friendly.

We met up with friends who are locals here. We got a very nice sunset view when we arrived. It seem pretty busy but we had a reservation so we got seated right away. This place is big! I like the vibes. It’s modern, fun and on the water. We were sure what to order so we ordered seven appetizers for four of us to share. It was the right amount of food. We had Reef Fish Ceviche, Fried Calamari, Mooloolaba Tuna, Beef Tataki, wood-fired sardines, Queensland scallops and prawns. I liked everything except sardines. There’s tingling numbing after taste. We asked the chef about it but they couldn’t pinpoint what ingredient would give you that numbing taste. The waiter was friendly and attentive. Overall, my first visit was pleasant.

We came for dinner and had an excellent time! Our server was lovely and the cocktails were very good. We enjoyed the tuna as an appetizer, and for mains the whole fish was good. The portions are quite large (which our server thankfully let us know before we ordered) so I recommend sharing! The overall atmosphere was nice, it is definitely on the fancier side and you do have a nice view of the harbor. In the evening they play music which can be loud but overall we had a great time!

We had a fun night at the Pier bar the other day. It was Tuesday Chicken parmi special night, and it was good pub meal. Was a great deal of $25, with chips and salad. I thought it would have been better with the salad with lesser vinaigrette and chicken parmi with tomato passatta only rather than bacon pieces on top. It’s just how I like it, and yes I am fussy. The service was efficient enough, but there was a mistake on my bill, which was apologised and fixed immediately. They were pleasant with all these. The vibe was good with music and nice view around the esplanade, overall good experience.

This is for the bar workers. Service for the food and restaurant was amazing but at the bar was a different vibe. Had a female lady serve us and she did not provide friendly service at all. Teach her to not let a bad night affect the way you serve people and provide customer service, if you not up to it don’t come in and work. Not friendly at all. Get someone better. Otherwise food and restaurant service was amazing and all the other works were nice and seemed happy to be there.

Gosh… so disappointing. I came here because a friend showed me a picture of their 12-hour slow-cooked burger, and it was the best-looking hamburger I’ve ever seen. Sadly, the burger I got wasn’t even close to the one she had. I guess she was lucky—or I was just unlucky. On top of that, after a few bites, I could tell the patty didn’t have any seasoning—not even a pinch of salt. Again, such a disappointment. I definitely won’t be coming back.

Firstly, we probably aren't the target demographic – we're a middle-aged family with a child. The atmosphere was quite loud, and the live band on the night wasn’t particularly enjoyable for us. However, once the band stopped and regular music played, it created a much more pleasant vibe. The food itself was quite greasy – we ordered fish and chips and calamari. That said, everything was still tasty, and the size of the calamari was surprisingly large, which we appreciated. The absolute standout of the night was the service. The African staff member working behind the food counter during dinner on 29 June was exceptional. She was on top of everything, friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. She ensured our voucher was processed correctly while still making us feel welcomed and looked after. Her service really lifted the overall experience. Would we come back? Probably not, as it wasn’t quite our scene. However, I can see how others in the intended demographic would enjoy it more than we did.

On the 5/9/25, my self and wife decided to go for a few drinks at the pier Bar , I was shocked by how poorly we were treated. My wife and I both 57 years old , we were told by 2 bouncers that I was intoxicated with no explanation and they refused to let us finish with what little drink we had left , when I asked why ? They gave no answer then grabbed me by both arms and marched me out , all this simply after I got up to dance as many other people were, incredibly rude, unfair and very embarrassing, I suggest that these 2 bouncers need to be retrained to do their jobs professionally instead of getting a smug smile whilst leaving the premises.

Exceeded expectations, called in for a light lunch and refreshing beverage with holiday view overlooking the Cairns water. Magnificent value lunch $23 chicken wrap.. So fresh, taste the goodness!

Wanted to try the beer paddle but seems that the prices have significantly increased compared to old Google map photos. Got a small beer instead which is good. Went at 3:30pm and was told that the kitchen was closed (3-5pm) - only pizza available. The Thai prawn pizza tasted good. If there was no cruise ship then you should have a nice harbour view but it was blocked by the cruise ship when I was there.

Weekday happy hour $7 fresh beer! And yummy chix wings, calamari rings and pizza to boot. Add on a gorgeous view of the marina. And really friendly and helpful staff! Be back soon!

They have a beautiful casual space for an afternoon beer or two. Servers are fantastic. The beers are good too. We had the squid and chips. Unfortunately the squid was basically crunchy batter with not much squid at all. Chips were decent.

Awesome first time experience visiting from Wisconsin… USA… The staff is incredible warm and friendly and very helpful… Sat here enjoyed a flight very awesome and great prices. Highly recommend a stop at Hemmingway’s.

We ordered wings and two beers here. I am not a huge wing person because I’ve had some pretty terrible wings, but these were the opposite! Saucy and tender wings that were contenders for the best wings I’ve had out! There’s a wing Wednesday special too!

Excellent brewery, lovely staff and good atmosphere at Wharf. Love their beers. Sitting are outside and inside but on this occasion we decided to sit inside. Also they have designed area for smokers.

Wharf warehouse style brewery and cafe. Portside to where the ocean cruise liners come in and moor. 5-10mins walk from the Esplanade. Great atmosphere. Can cope with large parties and crowds.

This is a great pub in cairns. We stopped here during our first night. We ordered two beers and a chips and chicken bag from the restaurant. The service was fantastic all staff were cheerful and helpful. Food and drink was great. Recommend coming here.

Great pint of Guinness. Food menu suits all tastes, really pleasant staff and great prices. Seating indoors and outdoors - the only negative is the 'drift' of cigarette smoke from the naughty corner when sitting in the outside no smoking/vaping area. Grrrr! I visited P.J. O’Brien’s Irish Pub in the Cairns CBD in November 2024 with a large group for dinner on a quiet Tuesday evening. We had a few tables booked, taking up about three in total. After a long day of travelling, I really appreciated the cosy, laid back atmosphere. The venue has a lot of little nooks for seating, with easy access to the bar and kitchen for meal and drink pick up. I ordered a chicken parma with both mash and chips on the side, along with a lemon, lime and bitters. The meal was fairly standard, nothing to write home about. The parma was decent, but nothing particularly stood out, and the mash was just average. That said, a few friends at the table had the pie and commented that it was hearty and well cooked. The lemon, lime and bitters was refreshing and hit the spot. What really stood out was the atmosphere. The pub is well themed, with loads of character and décor that gives it an authentic Irish pub feel. I liked the style of the bar and the variety of seating options, whether you wanted to pull up a stool or settle into a booth, there was something for everyone. Service was smooth, with meals ready for pick up when your buzzer went off. There were also a few TVs scattered around showing sport, which added to the vibe and kept us entertained during dinner. For a Tuesday night, it was relatively lively without being overwhelming. It seemed like the kind of place that would really come alive on the weekend, but it was a nice relaxed spot for a midweek meal. Overall, P.J. O’Brien’s is a solid choice for a casual bite in Cairns CBD. It’s well located with parking nearby and just a short walk from the foreshore. If you’re after a chilled out pub meal in a themed setting with friendly staff and good service, it’s definitely worth checking out!

Went on a Saturday night, live band and disco. Young crowd having fun. Cheap drinks until 10pm. Got very crowded but everyone was friendly.

Nice dark little bar, dropped in for a beer and to watch the AFL. Had the Irish steak sandwich with black pudding. A good twist on a staple. Enjoyed it

A unique and charming spot for cocktails in Cairns. They’ve recently moved to a larger location, but have kept all the cozy elegance and character of the original. It can get busy, but it still feels like the perfect place to enjoy a well-crafted cocktail and a good conversation. The bartenders are clearly experienced and passionate about what they do. A great find!

Came in and was greeted by an amazing bartender named Mitchell, was so great he gave us the best recommendations like the ‘Maple Moonshine’ which just lingers on your lips like no tomorrow the drink resonates like nothing else you’ve ever experienced in your life! Definitely ask for this to try but the variety is wide, check out the menu it’s as unique as they come, vibrancy and variety in the most peak of its calibre!

We wish we found this place earlier in our trip! If you enjoy a classy vibe and fantastic cocktails you must visit here. A little tip; they will make you any cocktail even if it is not on the menu 😉. The staff are really friendly and know their stuff.

It's got a brilliant atmosphere, so it's absolutely spot-on for spending time with someone special. Loads of booze options, as you'd expect. And they've got Happy Hour from 5 o'clock!

We stumbled upon this place, which is a little hidden, like it might be in Melbourne, and what a gem! Once inside, we found it very welcoming, with an extensive range of rums, and best of all, makes the best cocktails that we have ever had, no joke. We have been staying in Cairns for several weeks and make sure that we get here most nights to work our way through the interesting cocktail menu, and several of the rums, and all have exceeded our expectations. Jen has an extensive knowledge of rum, one of my favourite drinks, and taught us a lot about the different types, how they are made, and how to taste them properly, which has made an fantastic improvement to my enjoyment of the drink. Caleb has amazing interactive customer service, always smiling, and it is a delight to watch him making a cocktail. My favourite part is when he toasts/smokes the cinnamon as it is sprinkled on top of certain cocktails, with his cocktail shaking vigour a close second. Amber likes to dance around behind the bar which I find quite entertaining. My favourite at the moment is the “smoked old fashioned”, which is blend of Bacardi Ocho, Dictador 12 year and Ratu Spiced 5 year rums, decanted into a glass bottle and smoked with apple wood chips. They put in a dash of bitters and Demerara sugar, then give you a glass with a large ice block and orange zest as per a normal Old Fashioned. The special part is that you leave most of the rum it in the bottle, sampling it now and then, until the right amount of smokiness is absorbed into the rum. Amazing! Make sure you get a cocktail with the smoked cinnamon though! I reckon we’ll go back tonight 😄

The cocktails were very good and original and I liked the unique and stylish decor! The bar is small and cozy but not suitable for big groups there is only about 6-7 tables However the service could be improved: I waited 10min at the bar there was no one to serve me at all which was disappointing for my first visit

Lovely cocktails and reasonably priced. Loved the bar decor, such a cute place. Loved watching some of the cocktails being made too. Unfortunately very disappointed with the customer service. While my drink was being made the topic of conversation was inappropriate for customers to be hearing and the bartender was not friendly towards me.

How often in this world do you meet your doppelgänger… Caleb was absolutely wonderful… He will mix a drink for you. That is top notch… A great quiet getaway to hide out… And just chitchat and relax… Caleb looks like me in my younger years… Awesome place to hang out… I’m from Wisconsin so it was really cool to find a nice laid-back pub. Just to vedge!!!!

Rum and Cocktails! You should go here. What a beaut spot! Great atmosphere with a pumping tropical vibe. The staff are expert in their craft. Very helpful, very knowledgeable, perfect product! Cocktail menu and rum collection is next to none in Cairns! There is no food available, but it’s a great spot for a cheeky drink before or after dinner. Highly recommend.

Hands down the best place in Cairns for a delicious wine by the glass! Excellent and big wine list if you want to indulge in a bottle or two. Great selection of food plates to accompany wine. The vibe is fun and it’s now become our local. I always go for one glass and end up staying for more. We had a fantastic time at the Conservatory Bar. The friendly and welcoming hosts create a great atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for individuals or groups to gather. The sophisticated cocktail menu will leave you in awe. For special occasions, book a private room with its own secret entrance and a host who will take you on an adventure with your friends. The warm, retro, friendly, and fun environment is ideal for a guys/gals night out. The Conservatory has seating both indoors and outdoors, drinks are served to your table, and the turnaround time is usually quick. The friendly vibe of the hosts will make you want to return for more.

I booked The Conservatory Bar for my best friend’s bachelorette party. I let Sarah and Ross know the general vibe we were looking for and they planned a perfect wine tasting activity for us. There was a group of 12 of us and the venue was perfect size and atmosphere for us! I highly recommend The Conservatory Bar for an event or just to visit for a drink! Ross is very knowledgeable and seemed happy to answer the million questions that were thrown at him. Was a fantastic day and we’re really looking forward to going back one day soon!

Went as a walk in just for drinks. Asked for outside seating and was shown to a bench on the far right of the balcony. It was in pitch darkness, no lighting/table candle, no view and dismal overall (see picture, it looks better in the picture due to my camera being reasonable and improving the lighting). We went inside and sat at the bar instead as the corner bench was like a joke, or somewhere the staff sit to have a rest away from sight of the patrons. Honestly, the server would have been better to say all outside seating was booked and seat us inside. The place as a whole is beautifully fitted out, nice views from the outdoor high tables and has a nice buzz inside. I would have liked to try food but didn't Service was okay but we were off to a bad start with the first seating offered. We had bar service and that was efficient and semi friendly. It was bar service though, so fine. When it came time to pay, the payment system has tipping options pre set and start at 30% down to no tip at the very bottom. Bit steep in my experience and not the norm in Australia. I wouldn't recommend Rocco based on my experience, but I'm sure it'll be kept busy with tourists and couples looking for a romantic night .

Rocco was such a pleasant surprise. Was walking on the esplanade and noticed the building and decided to go in. Coming out of the lift are first presented with the exquisite atmosphere and we are guided to our table by the very nice host. The light up menus are such a nice touch. We were seated at a high table but the chairs were so comfortable. Alejandra was our waitress and she did an amazing job guiding us through the night and helping us with our cocktail choices. The food is great quality-price and the Lalla cocktail is a new favourite. All the front of house staff was very welcoming but I have to give a special thanks to Alejandra for her exceptional service. Will definitely visit again when back in Cairns in the future

Able to get the balcony seat for a darkened view of the ocean which was accompanied by grim service. Had to serve my own water twice and cancel the order of food when it took over an hour to reach our table. When we told the service staff we wanted to cancel our food order, we were told “it’s at the pass now.” This was a lie. We waited and no food came. We were waiting for the option for feedback but was met with typical backpacker service from the staff. Go elsewhere.

We so enjoyed Rocco’s, every night of our stay had a pre-dinner cocktail and enjoyed the view before heading out for dinner. On our last night, we had dinner here as well. It was great. We were celebrating our anniversary and they brought us a desert. Everyone who took care of us was so friendly, Pietro, Sasha & Lucia!

First of all, contacting them via was annoying as it goes to voice mail and no one responds to voice message. The ambience in the restaurant is pretty good but the food is okay. I would not visit for drinks and view but not food next time. When they asked the occasion multiple times, I was assuming there would be something from the restaurant after spending $$$ there but all I got was farewell saying Happy Birthday. However, customer service was good.

We had a wonderful evening at Rocco - the food was amazing (the warm pita bread makes any of the dips even better, and the saffron rice was just incredible!), the cocktails were great creations, the view was of course stunning and our waitress was just the best! Alejandra made sure that we weren’t missing anything, that we enjoyed our evening (so did her manager but we didn’t get his name) and her charming character made the overall experience even better!

We came just for drinks and snacks before dinner, and we had a lovely time at Rocco. The service was great, Pedro helped us choosing our wine and dip so we ended up with a Pinot Gris and the homemade hummus and pita bread : 10/10 The vibe is good, intimate, not noisy at all. The place is quite small but it feels very easy to have a private moment with whoever you bring there. Thank you for having us

Cosy venue, good for a drink. Varied musicians play here, mainly jazz, but always good. You will be close to the music at this place. Tapas is tasty: all dishes on the menu are good.

Love Elixir, their gf fried chicken is the best. Alongside some great live music, and the best staff you can't go wrong. Always a great night at Elixir

Always an amazing experience. Diversity, good music, vibes. It's an inclusive place, cozy and I always feel a belonging feeling. There is a beautiful community presence and conection there. I have made friends there after going there by myself for some weeks. Perfect environment, very affordable for a night out to relief tensions.

Just about the only CBD location with live music Operators are nice decent people but the reality is its nit the greatest venue for live music, sound quality is average and to see the band/stage scan be challenging if busy Service can be hit and miss Food is always changing an also can be a bit hit and miss But if you like live music your choices are very limited and this place is really one of your only choices Decent enough

Such a cool place!!! We were lucky enough to meet the lovely owners and bar staff, which I think everyone did! Very welcoming place for anyone looking to see some quality live music, drink some delicious cocktails and maybe meet some lovely people. I highly recommend stopping by for a drink or 2 or more.

Had a great time. Just want to say thanks to the security guard. I think his name was Chris. Me and my friends got harassed by two boys and the security guard stepped in and got the boys to leave with the help of another guard. This took place I’m pretty sure last week. My experience was alright, It’s like most other night clubs, it’s your normal average. The drinks are affordable though and a little cheaper than I expected.

Popular with backpackers. Huge pub feed at a great price. Excellent for meeting people from all around the world. Down side is that it is very busy. Tip is to eat early before the crowd arrives.

My friend and I were on a night out and she was the designated driver for the evening, she had one drink and then remained on the waters for the rest of the evening. I was chatting with another friend when my deso mate was being asked to leave by security and two other workers. absolutely poor effort on their half. my friend had done absolutely nothing wrong, was quietly minding her own business when this happened. shame on woolshed staff and security. do fricking better!!!!

We walked into a room that had no signage that it was off limits. As soon as we walked in, security berated us and said we must leave. We asked why and they told us to “have a good night and leave”. Wouldn’t explain why the “kissing room” was off limits and kicked us out even though we apologised and said we didn’t know we weren’t allowed. Do not recommend

Located on the Esplanade overlooking the ocean, this classic club serves up a good selection of beverages and food. The large open windows bring the outside in and make it a great spot to watch the constant stream of people walking by.

Modern and clean atmosphere. Delicious food with several great roasts available. I enjoyed the roast pork with plenty of crackle. Large and varied menu. Good prices and friendly staff.

Anzac Day here was superb. The Kokoda curry and the cannelloni were excellent! Unlike most places, didn't charge extra for the public holiday. While there were long queues at the bar, this is to be expected and a little patience is required.

Cairns RSL – Consistently Welcoming and Delicious We’ve dined at the Cairns RSL three nights in a row—and there’s no doubt we’ll be back for a fourth. From the moment you walk in, the staff greet you with a friendly nod and a genuine smile. It’s the kind of place where you feel recognized and welcomed, which makes all the difference. The food has been consistently great: generous portions, well-prepared, and reasonably priced. There’s a solid selection of beers to pair with your meal, and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. On one visit, I ordered the pork medallions for Mum. I asked for the sauce on the side, just in case it was spicy—it wasn’t, but she found the pork a little dry and left one of the chops. The staff member who took our order noticed and kindly asked if everything was okay. When Mum mentioned the dryness, a gentleman who appeared to be the manager came over and offered to make it right, suggesting garlic bread or a dessert to help make up for the disappointment. That kind of attentive service really stood out. All in all, Cairns RSL has been a highlight of our evenings here—great food, thoughtful service, and a team that genuinely cares about your experience.

This is a very lovely restruant and cafe! They made my dish very quickly and the staff were very nice. When you order a kids meal you get a free Dixie cup and a post mix (soda). The post mix size cup is about the same size as a kids party cup. Food was delicious and when you ask for ice cream they can put sprinkles and sauce (not tomato sauce).

The "grilled" barramundi is not grilled. I ordered it and it came in a weird consistency with the sides so dry, was hard to chew. Did not taste fresh. Not sure if it's because it has been pre cooked in a pan with water. But it definately hasn't been grilled. The roast veggies abd the salad that comes with the fish tasted great. Good environment.

So happy to stumble across the Boatshed on our mission for great beer and food for our Sunday sesh! Absolutely loved the $10 sharing menu and $6 beer specials accompanied with one of the best views of the water in Cairns. Staff were really nice and although we didn’t have a reservation the manager was able to squeeze us in and then upgrade us to a bigger table when our friends wanted to meet us. Will definitely be back!

Had a lovely experience at this restaurant not long ago, our first time trying out oysters and we enjoyed them that much we ordered them again! Super friendly service by a young little waitress called Susu, who made our experience exquisite! Will definitely be returning and exploring the rest of the menu!

Outstanding customer service, great food and reasonable priced. Great atmosphere too. The place is nice and the staff really friendly. We enjoyed some drinks, ask to the Bar tender for the specials. The bar is located close to Cairns Marlon marina, it’s good area for walk and stop for a drinks. We sit outside and enjoyed nice view. I recommend the Boatshed bar/restaurant.

We came here for happy hour and ended up getting some munchies/tapas, very pleasantly pleased I must say! Sad we didn’t get time to come back again for one last hurrah during our stay in Cairns! Really nice place to sit and chill by the waterfront.

Lovely food and drinks here, I was worried when I see some of the reviews here the food was not great but it doesn’t seem right. The food was very good. The only thing that could be improved would be their service... The waitress won’t ask if u want dessert or not after cleaning up ur table.... wait until u asked. For the bill, the waitress just asked u to go to pay at the till....not sure is it because I am Asian... that waitress just treated the other western differently.... if u are Asian and u would prefer having good service, don’t go here. If you don’t mind, then here would be one of your good choices to have good food. The five stars was only be given because of their food!!!

Lunch was lovely we all enjoyed our meals. The staff were friendly, cheerful and nothing too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.

Outstanding food. We had the seafood linguine for 2 with lobster. They got it right. Beautiful combination of flavours Just the right amount of chilli. Plenty of quality seafood. Thanks Matthew for the attentive service which made our 26th anniversary.

Pub food with a gourmet twist. The pork belly bites were really good, the chicken wings not too much. The burger was okay. I suggest going with First Table, that makes it a bargain.

Wasn’t sure where I was headed for dinner and heard the live music as I was walking past so thought I’d give it a go. Pretty happy that I did! Music was laid back and set a great vibe. Service was on point, quick and attentive. Cocktails are made with care and delivered with a smile. Food was on point. Oysters done fresh and Thai style were chilled and super fresh, with great flavours and textures with the Thai oysters. Lamb terrine and the lobster roll small plates were very tasty and well put together. Great venue, definitely worthy of a visit if you’re here in Cairns.

Went to the cotton club tonight ordered 3 steaks and a pizza, the wait was well over 30 minutes, when our steak arrived they were stone cold along with the chips, Pizza was hot so I’m guessing the kitchen got the timing well and truly out of whack, pizza oven was probably busy and there was no communication between the two to time the meals correctly, which was a pitty as the food tasted good but would of been very good if it was hot, and when I say cold it had been sitting for a while because there was no heat what so ever, I didn’t want to complain as we were hungry and didn’t want to wait any longer. Staff were fantastic can’t fault them but somone should have picked up on this.

Best steak night ever I had in Australia. Perfect medium rare and huge salad and two onion rings exactly same with the photo.l and only 6 dollar for beer. Free change to sweet potato chips from potato chips. We sat on outdoor, Live music singer was amazing voice and all the people gave keep claps to him. Super good price (350g rump steak 26+6dollar for beer = 32). If you are looking for dinner on Thursday, here is the place to go. Highly recommend.

The food was amazing! We came on a Sunday using the first table app so ordered off the main menu. There was 4 of us and we all were so impressed with the food. I had the steak cooked medium and it was perfectly cooked! The side of the potatoes and veg and the garlic butter was delicious. We also had live music which made the atmosphere really nice. The service could be a lot more attentive and nicer.

Stopped by on a whim for their Thursday night steak special and so glad we did. Excellent food, generous servings and the live music was just right - the right tempo and volume that you could still hold a conversation at the table while appreciating the wonderful musical talents on show.

Great place for dinner and a drink. The oysters and hoisin duck salad were standouts, although everything we ordered was great. Portions are generous and the atmosphere is nice for a conversation with friends or family.

We dined here once as we were staying in the hotel. Food was average bar food. We just ordered the fish of the day which was Spanish mackerel. Two small pieces with a side of chips & small basic salad. Best part was the setting right on the esplanade close to the water

11am opening, limited food menu. Nice chilled out atmosphere. Waitress goes MIA without giving us cutlery or napkins. It’s a busy noisey place, similar to a central train station due to many staff dropping in or moving through, hanging around the bar area being loud etc with zero consideration for their customers. Nevertheless standard bar food with several service issues that are basic Customer Service 101

I came here for a dinner. The food is very good. I liked the calamari, very juicybsnd tender. I had the barramundi as main. Nice dish too. But I would suggest chef to take away the mushed potato. It is not very good with the fish. Also the portion of the barramundi is too small for the price. Staff here are very friendly. But they can be so busy with three to five tables. Food delivery was fast and they always carried a smile. You should give this place a try.

I have to say this place is poorly managed. There no staff to attend to guests and we had to set up our table ourselves. Only 2 girls running around disorganised. We waitied an hour for our food. AN HOUR!! They kept giving us other peoples food and asked many times to confirm our order. Also noticed other guests waitied for so long to eat. What a shame. The place looks nice and has a lot of potentials but is not currently managed well. Food is just ok and pricey. We did not try any drinks though. Will not come back.

We were pleasantly surprised by the attentive service, accommodation to my food allergy needs, and amazing food at Teshi's Restaurant. This is definitely not your typical Holiday Inn. The staff made certain to tell the chef about my allergy to coriander, which is used a lot at Teshi's, and the food was delivered without the coriander, but also not lacking in any way on flavor. You can see, smell, and taste the passion the Chef has for the food he prepares in every dish, from the complimentary amuse bouche to dessert. We loved the food and service at Teshi's so much that we chose to eat here 2 of the 4 nights we had in Cairns.

Beautiful setting for sunset cocktails I had a frozen tropical pina colada followed by vegan stuffed pesto mushrooms with sundried tomatoes and garden vegetables which was beyond delicious! Akira,Lincoln and Hannah were delightful and could not do enough to make my experience a memory to remember and smile about when I will think of my tropical Holiday.

If you're looking for great vibes, friendly people and staff, affordable rooms, and a great atmosphere this is the place to go! I was looking for a place that was affordable, and central to all Cairns city has to offer. The front desk people Harriott and Ricky, Seri, and another nice lass with dark curly hair, were helpful to my requests and comfort. I couldn't have been put with better room mates! Three great guys from Germany, Matthias, Felix and Harry, in particular Matthias who was fantastic! He was welcoming, intelligent, engaging and charming! All three guys were respectful, honest, clean and considerate! I was on the music/pub side and though it was loud, (I was told prior to entering the room), the music that was played was totally awesome! Would visit again. Great job team!

I had such a wonderful stay at The Jack Backpackers! A huge thank you to Harriet, Rachel, and Riccy for their warm welcome – they really made me feel at home from the very first day. They are incredibly accommodating and understanding, always going the extra mile to help. The hostel itself is clean and well looked after, with constant efforts to improve by replacing older equipment with new ones. It’s clear that they truly care about their guests’ comfort. Stayed at Jack Backpackers in Cairns and was genuinely impressed. The place was spotless, the vibe was upbeat, and the staff were incredibly kind. Special shoutout to Harriet at reception, her care and dedication made everyone feel at home. A great base for exploring Cairns with good facilities and a welcoming atmosphere. Just a tip: Jack Backpackers has two sides, the motel-style side opens toward the bar, so you’ll hear music until 2am. The backpackers side is completely quiet, you can’t hear the music at all. I’ve stayed on both, and if you’re a light sleeper, just ask reception to place you on the quiet side. But if you love music and stay up late, the motel side is the vibe! The staff are lovely and happy to help either way. ** Location : love it!!

Do not recommend staying here if you plan on actually sleeping. Music was blasting until 2am to the point the room was vibrating. If you’re staying here after a night out it’s fine but if you need to actually sleep book somewhere else. Staff was lovely though.

We came back for the second year in a row to this hostel in Cairns and couldn’t be happier with our choice! The atmosphere is always welcoming, with those good vibes that make you feel right at home. Harriet, the manager, is always so kind and helpful, it’s such a pleasure to see her again. Plus, it was great to reconnect with some friends we met here last year, which made our experience even more special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a friendly and lively place in the heart of Cairns!

Good location, and nice staff. But room is very basic, not even a towel. Just a bed, fridge and bedside table. Very noisy at night and early construction. Smoking terrace right outside our window which isn’t ideal, not much privacy. Feel like you have to keep the blind closed all the time or everyone can see in. Showers and facilities are very dirty, shower full of hair and didn’t notice any difference over the days of it being cleaned. Terrace is just filled with people drying their laundry so not the best relaxing spot.

Very good service, fantastic food, friendly staff! I do have birthday party for my husband 70th and we order food for 20 guys, the food is buffet $50/pp , food very brilliant more than what I think, all is very delicious! Im recommend party in The jack 👍🏻

This place is in a great position on the esplanade. We were having a roving night out - so entree at one place, main we had here then we went somewhere else for dessert. I ordered the Truffled mushroom pizza and my partner ordered something which they didn't have so he ended up with the daily special which was Two tacos and one margarita cocktail. He had the spiced cauliflower tacos. Hey I loved the pizza there was an ok amount of mushrooms on it - but could have had more in my opinion. If there was artichokes on there - I didn't find them. But it was ok and for the esplanade they aren't overly expensive. My partner thought the tacos were good but not fantastic. They have a decent wine list - so happy with that. I am a big fan of cash - so very disappointing to find it is cashless. I find this trend to be exceedingly annoying - cash is legal tender - especially as paying by card incurs fees - so think both should be catered for. So probably wouldn't go here again because of this. But if you don't care - then it is a great spot and very open and inviting.

Boardwalk Social in Cairns delivers on every level! The location is exceptional — classy, relaxed, and right by the water with a vibrant atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the beer selection was fantastic, especially for a craft ale lover like myself. Their range didn’t disappoint. What really made the visit memorable, though, was the outstanding service. Staff were warm, welcoming, and respectful from the moment we walked in. A special shoutout to the lovely lady who let our kids put their own sprinkles on their ice cream — they couldn’t stop talking about her all day. A great spot for both adults and families alike!

I keep coming back for the consistently delicious food and drinks! The live music adds a great touch, and the atmosphere is always amazing. I also love the wide variety of dishes on the menu — there’s always something new to enjoy.

Relaxing vibes, cool breeze and the best Esplanade views. On the day we visited there was solo musician playing. He set the atmosphere with his chill background music. This is a great place to catch up with friends, to visit as a couple or to book a group event. We enjoyed the Crispy Chicken Karaage with our drinks. We'll be back sometime soon

So 40$ beer included for that meal, I ordered grilled fish but it’s just defrost and heated, waiting too long for my beer with the excuse of has to settle down while the barman was serving other customers. Live music was low quality. Just scam, there are way more better places to eat and spend good time.

We came in for some drinks and to play a couple of rounds of pool and had a great time! The pool is free and there are tons of tables, no one bothered us and it was nice to just have a chill evening playing some pool, would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something to do in the evening in Cairns!

You might notice that I didn't rate the food! Well, might I mention that the reason for my decision is made rather honestly! I didn't eat there! I just had a glass/mini bottle of Cabsav, the vintage of which is unbeknownst to me for the mere reason that it wasn't written on the mini bottle's label! They obviously don't sell wine by the glass 🍷 Oh dear! However, the atmosphere was excitingly electric, energetic, ear-penetrating and dynamic! The novel idea that one could indulge in an infinite number of pool games at no extra cost was extremely surprising provided one could find an unoccupied pool table! The bar service was great considering that both the bartender and customer had to yell in order to be heard! Go there if you're young or at least young at heart 💕

Came for a casual billiard session, and the guy behind the bar was extremely rude. Assume it's because of my skin colour. To the owner, you should address your staff, to reduce these experiences for occuring.

To place an order you have to download the app, then it asks for a table number of which there isnt 1, when asking the staff they dont no either and just tell you to make 1 up, food portions are small, give you a plate which is to big for what is delivered, so already it looks bad, Chips weren't great, parmi wasn't much better, comes out all cut up (maybe cooking purposes) sour cream comes in the world's smallest tub, pizza's are cooked in the bar. Stick to pool and drinks

Great place to hangout in Cairns, good atmosphere, plenty of pool tables and it's free. Little pricey on the drinks and food menu, but you will have a nice time! They have a juke box to play your own playlist which is really awesome, like old days. Pool Tournament - every Wednesday they have a pool tournament, entry fee is $2 and winner gets $100. This is more fun and you will meet many people,approx 3-4 hrs.

Bar staff refused to look for my ID resulting in police action which they have continued to ignore for 2 mths. DO NOT HAND YOU ID OVER TO PLAY POOL. I take full responsibility for not collecting it on the night but the owner promised to post it back to me in march it is now June

Honestly I can’t say anything bad about this bar, the service has always been 100% and I’ve been going here for a few years now with no complaints. The cocktail creations are always delicious and has all the local Gins that I love. The current bar manager Dario always greets me & my friends with warm welcomes and starts making my usual drink order as soon as I walk through the doors. I love all the Wolf lane venues but this one is definitely my favourite!

Great place to hear House Music Djs on 2 stages. Really nice bouncers at entrance. The guy from Africa is especially respectful & kind. I went twice in my week visit to Cairns. Fantastic female dj last week who brought the house down! Fun crowd too. Bathrooms could use some attention each shift & long-term with some upgrades. Otherwise cool casual atmosphere.

Nice place with music by DJ. I tried the promo on Wednesday and Thursday which consists of a pizza and a beer for $12. Classic but good beers and really good pizzas. Friendly staff and good place for an evening. Must try!!

Absolutely delicious plant-based calzone at @bar94cairns a couple of weekends ago, I enjoyed every bite! There was absolutely no skimping on the veggie filling or plant-based cheese, and it was the perfect feed to soak up the drinks!

Hands down the best venue in Cairns for entertainment, food & drink. Owners are amazing and supporting the music scene beyond anywhere else. Also one of the most talented chefs ever reside in the kitchen here making the best pizza I've ever had.

To me the best bar and pizzas in Cairns so far. I like enjoy Sunday night with Latino party and I love the pizzas, the pizzas are delicious, variety and just 5$ it's something unbelievable and I am very happy they have a variety of alcohol free drinks for that type of people that don't drink alcohol (you can't find it in all bars). The waitress and the staff very friendly. Quick service.
