Šug Restaurant, located in Split, is a bright and elegant eatery that serves modern Dalmatian cuisine with a touch of innovation. The restaurant was established by two young chefs who drew inspiration from their childhood experiences on the islands. Their menu features traditional recipes prepared with fresh local ingredients. Šug has gained recognition from the Michelin guide, earning a Bib Gourmand rating for its excellent quality and value.
We loved this place. They for sure deserve to get one Michelin star. Top notch service by Antonella and Bodjo (?). We ordered the excellent steak tartar, then the veal risotto, which I so much wanted to take one home.. my wife had the tuna. The star of the night was the traditional split dessert called Snenokle.. we found the recipe online and we will try to make it back at home.

We did the chef's choice 3 course menu with wine pairing at Sug, and it was very good. The wine pairing was fabulous, and the service attentive. However, the portions were enormous (and I can eat a lot!). It's was more like two mains than a main and a starter. If I returned, I would just do the normal menu. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Louise W — Google review
Perfection at a reasonable price. For antipasti, we had a white fish carpaccio wrapped around sweet rice which was delicious. Then we had squid ink risotto and creamy prawn pasta, both of which were divine. Good wine and attentive service as well. Some reviews say that this is a very fancy fine-dining place, but don’t let it put you off - the vibe is definitely nice but it’s also not very formal. You will feel at home as all the waiters are very friendly.
Jasmin C — Google review
Everything was exceptional. We did the tasting menu with two oysters added. It was more than worth it. We were blown away with the food and services. 10/10 I can’t pick our favorite dish because they were all phenomenal. A must try
M R — Google review
Food is good. The sword fish is the best - very fresh and flavourful. Octopus is fresh. Shrimp pasta isn’t as impressive as what others mentioned. Smoked risotto is average. However, the service is really bad. The waiters are very inattentive and chatting among themselves. We needed to keep waiting for the menu and water at the beginning and when we wanted to order, even when we sat at the middle of the restaurant just facing them.
Angel X — Google review
Went to this place with my wife, as a recommendation from a local, and it was the best decision! We had the duck and the octopus, both were extremely delicious! Shrimp pasta as appetizer was really generous and incredible tasty. Wines are good as well. Don't hesitate about asking for the tiramisu as dessert!
Walter P — Google review
The venison stew was great with tender meat and soft gnocchi, but the grilled octopus dish was a bit mismatched. The octopus itself was very good, but it was served with raw tomatoes, pickled onions, baked/fried potatoes, and a gravy none of which really complemented each other well. Service was great and the space was nice.
Brandon K — Google review
We had a table reserved for 8:00 PM, but we arrived an hour and a half earlier — luckily, that wasn’t a problem at all, as the staff kindly found us a spot right away. We happened to come during the restaurant’s Steak Weekend, which offered a special selection of steaks. The food was excellent — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was fast and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We really enjoyed our evening here and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and friendly service.

Bokeria Kitchen & Wine is a stylish restaurant and bar in Split, named after Barcelona's La Boqueria market. It combines the concept of a high-end restaurant and a wine bar, attracting international celebrities. The interior design is spectacular, making it one of the city's most recognizable locations. Bokeria offers pan-Mediterranean cuisine and an extensive wine list, perfect for wine lovers.
Best octopus I've had having been around Croatia 4 times now. The tenderness and juiciness of the meats is outstanding, and the garnishes and side dishes are just as good. The risotto is also absolutely incredible. The starters are very good, although not as mind blowing as the main courses. The fish tacos are the standout in my opinion. It's a very popular place, especially in the evenings, so make sure to book a table a very long time in advance. They do try to accommodate walk ins though. The music is a bit loud, again, especially in the evenings, which together with the crowd noise makes it a little difficult to hold conversation.
Alejandro G — Google review
We had a very disappointing experience here and definitely will not return. For starters, we ordered the soup and the codfish spring roll. The spring roll was the only decent thing we had crispy, flavorful, and well done. Unfortunately, the soup was a complete letdown. It was bland and absolutely no richness or depth you’d expect from a restaurant charging these prices. For mains, I had the squid ink risotto and my husband had the Angus beef. After our starters, we were left waiting almost 20 minutes for the mains. The risotto was dull, lacking any balance or seasoning, and had an unpleasant aftertaste. The Angus beef was chewy and poorly cooked, paired with mashed potatoes that were supposed to be elevated with truffle oil. As a country that actually produces truffles, this version was shockingly below standard flat, oily, and with none of the fragrant quality you’d expect. Service made the experience even worse. We were given a completely different menu from another table, which left us questioning whether there was some form of bias or discrimination happening. And when we asked for the bill, a female server simply pointed her finger at my original (male) server, refusing to assist and continuing her personal chat instead. Completely unprofessional, dismissive, and unacceptable for a place that positions itself as “above average.” Overall: long waiting times, overpriced dishes, inconsistent menus, poor service, and food that is far below the mark in flavor and execution. One good spring roll can’t save an otherwise awful dining experience.
Dee B — Google review
Bokeria in Split is a beautiful restaurant with a stylish and inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel like you’re in a special place. The presentation of the dishes is excellent — everything looks amazing and carefully prepared. However, while some plates taste just as good as they look, others don’t quite deliver the same “wow” factor once you try them. Prices are on the higher side compared to other spots in Split, so it’s definitely more of a treat-yourself place. Overall, Bokeria is worth visiting for the ambiance and experience, but not every dish lives up to its presentation.

Truwel and prosciutto pasta was delicious, Caesar salad needed more sauce. Soup was ok, byt nothing special; soparnik is really good here, recommend it. Amazing wine (local chardonney). Service is very good and attentive.
Aveli A — Google review
Sat upstairs by a window. This place was really good. Everything was executed perfectly. The sea bass with the cauliflower puree was a great combo. Dont skip soparnik either for the appetizer!! Would 1000% return. Great location in the old center of Split
Michelle P — Google review
Had a great sea bass meal here this evening - very reasonably priced. Wait staff was incredibly friendly and a great vibe atmosphere. Without doubt, if you are into Croatian wine, this is THE PLACE in Split to visit. They have over 160 Croatian wines to choose from, ~30 of which you can buy by the glass. I had a Grk, Pošip sur lie, and a dessert wine all from Croatia - the first two with my sea bass. All were excellent!
Michael H — Google review
If I could give Bokeria six stars, I would. This place doesn’t just serve food - it performs it. Set inside a refurbished 19th-century hardware store, the ambience hits the sweet spot between Mediterranean elegance and modern soul: high ceilings, warm wood, slow jazz, and the low hum of a packed dining room that feels alive with conversation and clinking glasses. Now, the black risotto - the best I’ve ever had, anywhere in the world. It’s made from cuttlefish ink, rich enough to stain your soul, creamy from the slow-simmered arborio rice, yet with that perfect bite that tells you someone in the kitchen respects texture. The cuttlefish itself - tender but with structure, brined in its own ink, releasing that deep, oceanic sweetness that hits you like a memory you didn’t know you had. Each forkful lands with the intensity of truffle and sea salt and ends with a whisper of citrus. Pair it with a Medica, Croatia’s honey rakija - it’s smooth, golden, and just sweet enough to round the salt of the sea from the risotto. Follow that with the mint rakija, which feels like brushing your teeth with liquid sunlight - crisp, cool, and sharp enough to make you grin. Bokeria isn’t just a restaurant. It’s where the spirit of Split sits down to eat with you. Unreal food, unreal people, and a level of culinary rhythm that’ll have you planning your next meal before you’ve finished the first bite.

This restaurant charmed us completely! The historic setting with its gorgeous interior made dinner feel special. Food was delicious - modern takes on Dalmatian classics with perfect execution. Their wine list impressed us with excellent local options we wouldn't find elsewhere.

The restaurant prides itself on sourcing the freshest local ingredients and carefully selecting imports from Mexico to ensure an authentic dining experience.
Very cozy, beautifully decorated place in Old Town Split. The margaritas and the food were excellent. The service was incredible too! They recommended their favorite dishes to us and they were all incredible. Note: It is cash only.

Very cute Mexican restaurant in old town Split. It's a great option if you're looking for something a bit different from the other restaurants in town. Excellent veggie and vegan options too. The food is very tasty but it's not served spicy so you can add your own heat levels. For spice lovers the hot sauces are exceptional and have a fantastic heat. Great margaritas also! I love how they donate money to the street cats of Split. A nice kind idea.
Irish O — Google review
Woowwwwww!!! Such an exceptional service and food, you must go to this place in your tour to split! Definitely can't miss if you are a Mexican food lover and like different flavours bursting in your mouth giving your palette a rich ride of tastes coming together so nicely...It's a small place and hence you might have to wait until being seated if you are going on weekend, but I promise it would be worth it ... Being a vegetarian this is a gold mine to find!!
Aparna S — Google review
The food was authentic and full of flavor, but what really stood out was the service. The staff went out of their way to help us choose dishes and even offered different sauces to try, which made the experience feel personal and thoughtful. Everything arrived quickly and tasted great. The only downside was the portion size—it felt a bit small for the price. But considering the location, right in the heart of the castle area, that’s somewhat expected. Still, for quality Mexican food and genuinely welcoming service, this place is absolutely worth a visit.
Prateek Z — Google review
I loved trying tacos around the world. These were genuinely some of the best I’ve had in Europe. I ordered several options - pork rib (Al pastor), carnitas, and beans & plantain. All incredible. The horchata was a 10/10 and my husband also had the fish tacos, which was also incredible. Can’t go wrong with this place if you need a break from all the local classics. :)
Ivonne A — Google review
A fantastic find in one of the small streets or Split which is like stepping out of Europe into Central America. The food was fantastic, traditional dishes with moreish flavours. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Be aware it is cash only, but there is an ATM around the corner. Definitely worth a visit. Pic is of the three tacos (fish, mushroom and vegetable)

We had a spectacular Mexican meal in To Je Tako. We tried the tacos, burritos and quesadillas. All beautifully presented and were delicious. Staff are very friendly and attentive. A great evening. Highly recommended. Sin é (that’s it) 😀.

had a great dinner at To Je Tako. The atmosphere was great with friendly staff who were organised with seating arrangements - it’s best to get in early as it is a cosy vibe but limited seats. The food was incredible with lots of options for vegetarian, spice and your fav Mexican classics. The food is well worth its price (€16-25)- delicious! Drinks were tasty and fast to come out.

Brasserie on 7, also known as B7, is a casual eatery located on the Riva waterfront in Split. It offers a diverse menu featuring breakfast, pasta, seafood, and meat dishes along with pastries, coffee, and craft beer. The restaurant is praised for its lovely staff and great views without loud music. It's a popular spot for digital nomad meetups during the off-peak season from September to May when it's less crowded and more affordable.
Great experience overall! The service was very friendly and professional. All the staff wear the same colorful shirts, which adds to the good vibe of the place. I was especially impressed by how much attention they pay to the little details — I saw staff carefully adjusting cutlery and menus to perfection, which really shows their dedication. There’s a wide variety of breakfast options. I went with the B7 breakfast, and it was absolutely delicious. If you’re really hungry, I can confidently say most dishes here will satisfy your appetite. They also offer a great selection of juices — all very fresh and tasty for the warm weather. And to top it all off, the view of the sea is absolutely beautiful. 🌊
Jaro P — Google review
We visited Brasserie on 7 everyday during our recent holiday in Split as it was nearby our hotel. The breakfast menu had a good variety of options available and I tried to have something different everyday. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The restaurant is in a lovely location overlooking the water. The food was all great and the portions are very generous.
Meg R — Google review
Massive fan of this place despite the 2 year old review. The staff here were extremely friendly, and the food was excellent. Particularly the meats and cheese board: I found the meats here less salty than their Italian equivalents. The cheeses were excellent, especially the sheep cheese that paired perfectly with the fig jam.
Tsu N — Google review
I ordered risotto and tuna steak and it is amazing. it is worth the wait. The staffs here are really nice! Definitely will come back here
Jerson T — Google review
I expected a tourist trap, but it totally wasn't. Great steak, great service (thank you Anita), great location/view and reasonable prices given the area. We went there twice and the quality was consistent on both occasions!
Prav E — Google review
Brasserie on 7 is a beautiful spot right on the Riva, perfect for enjoying the sea view while having lunch. We ordered the Caesar salad and the lamb — both were good. The salad was fresh, but maybe lacks some ingredients, and the lamb was well cooked and very tender. The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. Prices are a bit higher than some other places in Split.
Sarah — Google review
Delicious and simple breakfast! The eggs Benedict was amazing. Service was somewhat poor, I had to wait 15 minutes to get my check and the server rarely checked in. Lovely atmosphere though!
Melinda H — Google review
We were really disappointed with parts of the meal: • The beef tartare was poor in both taste and presentation – definitely not worth €32. • The Caesar salad lacked flavor. • The chicken add-on (extra €6) had a strange taste. • The Caesar dressing was watery and bland. However, after we politely shared our feedback, the staff removed only the items we didn’t enjoy from the bill – which we found to be very fair and professional. Service throughout was extremely friendly and attentive. While the food didn’t fully meet our expectations, the way our concerns were handled earns them 4 stars.

The menu showcases traditional Dalmatian dishes like fish soups and bean-based meals, all prepared with locally sourced ingredients including olive oil. Additionally, the restaurant's bar doubles as a shop offering an array of Croatian olive oils and products.
Awesome food in a nice snug place in the old town. Wine and bread + olive oil were phenomenal, and basically every charcuterie combination was a win. Ice cream is a sleeper hit too.

Excellent oil-themed restaurant. The quality of the food was superb. We tried the octopus salad, white fish and the amazing seafood pasta. The ice cream with a touch of oil was amazing. The woman was very clisé and professional. They also offer wine-tasting.

Absolutely incredible dining experience in Split! We were able to handpick our fresh fish, which was baked to perfection. The wine selection was top-notch and paired beautifully with the meal. The ambience was stunning—elegant yet relaxed. A special shoutout to our waiter Ante, who was exceptionally helpful with his recommendations and made the entire evening even more memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic and elevated meal in Split!

We cannot rave enough about our wine tasting experience at Uje!!!! Marina’s knowledge, professionalism, and kindness did not go unnoticed. I’m gluten free, so she immediately ordered gluten free bread for myself so I could be included in the tasting. My friend is also vegetarian. Marina went out of her way to bring her tomatoes instead of prosciutto so she could taste certain notes in the red wine. We left feeling like Marina was our own Mama taking care of us!!! HIGHLY recommend as a must!!!!

We enter the Uje Oil Bar today and we're treated horribly. My wife & I were deeply humiliated. We sat down at a table for two. There were a couple of empty tables that could fit 4 people. We said hi to the people seated near us and we were greeted with smiles. We waited approximately 10-15 minutes and a waiter/host came to our table who advised us we are not to sit there & we were instructed to leave. His tone & abusive actions were rude & mean. We were glad to depart this highly prejudice establishment. So sad that such a place exists in Split, Croatia. A hudge DISAPPOINTMENT. We do NOT recommend.

Nestled at the entrance of the Varos quarter, Trattoria Tinel is a delightful addition to Split's burgeoning dining scene. This charming eatery focuses on serving authentic Dalmatian cuisine without breaking the bank. Diners can indulge in delectable seafood risottos and pastas, with prices that are quite reasonable, while those seeking something more luxurious can opt for scampi or lobster dishes.
Probably the best restaurant in Split. Highly recommended! A little outside the city center where it is quiet and nice. Clean toilets, friendly staff and fantastic food! We had veal cheek with homemade mash and local wine. Fantastically delicious! A must!

We had a lovely breakfast here on our last morning in Split. Beautiful area to sit outside. Breakfast was very reasonably priced and consisted of eggs, toast, bread, ham, cheese, jam and choice of coffee or juice. We really enjoyed it. Service was fast as there’s just this one breakfast offering.
Louise K — Google review
Try the cuttlefish and broad beans! Never had that combination before and it was phenomenal. I didn’t want to stop eating. The polenta was super crispy and perfect. The octopus salad is also delicious and fresh. The house wine is good and you can get a half litre in a cute narrow bottle. I was slightly reluctant because other restaurants in the area seem to be more popular but the menu convinced me and the outdoor seating in the square is lovely for people watching. The only bad reviews seem to be from Americans… the staff are friendly and great they aren’t your servants;)
Kamil P — Google review
Trattoria Tinel is far more than just a restaurant! The soul of this place is its extraordinary owner, whose presence is constant yet graceful – always there, always attentive, setting the tone for excellence not by command, but by example. Her commitment, passion, and kindness are mirrored beautifully in her team. It’s clear that she is not only respected by her staff, but truly loved – and that love spills over into how they treat every single customer who walks through the door. The staff are not only professional and efficient, but also open-hearted, full of humor, and genuinely enthusiastic to connect. During our visit, they happily joined a spontaneous photo challenge organized by us– not out of obligation, but with sincere joy and a desire to contribute to the good vibes of the evening. They even let us wear the staff aprons! It was one of those rare moments that turns a dinner into a memory. The management at Trattoria Tinel is a masterclass in how to build not just a successful restaurant, but a culture – one where people are seen, valued, and uplifted. And the result? A space that radiates warmth, where every detail reflects intention, and where good food is only the beginning of a beautiful experience. To the owner: you have built something truly special – a restaurant that feels like a home and a team that feels like a family. We left with full hearts, big smiles, and one clear thought: as the owner is, so is the restaurant – a true reflection of grace, strength, and soul. If you’re in Split, do yourself a favor – come to Trattoria Tinel. You’ll find more than a meal here; you’ll find a moment of human connection, beautifully served.❤️

I randomly fell onto this place on a walk home and my gosh. Probably one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. It was the pasta seafood vongole and was under the apps part of menu. Homemade, fresh, baby clams and shrimp in a white sauce.. was just incredible. I also had the octopus carpaccio and that was a first for me and it was also excellent.

Dining at this restaurant was a highlight of our trip. We were so well looked after by our waiter (I did not get his name, wish I had). I had a great gin and tonic made with the "Old Pilots" gin, highly recommend! For starter I had the shrimp soup which was delicious and then for main our whole party had the Pasticada with Gnocchi and was enjoyed by all. The meat was so soft and tender, the sauce was rich and comforting with a slight tang from maybe vinegar and something slightly floral through it and the gnocchi was perfect, best I've had. Tremendous meal and highly recommend if you are visiting Split!

Very good place for our lunch. We had some deep fried fish with chards and the sword fish salad. Light and tasty. To top it off we followed the recommendation of a very kind waiter for dessert and got an amazing caroube cake. Amazing!! The location is quite central and close to important places. Definitely recommend a stop in this place!

Vegan restaurant
Health food restaurant
Restaurant
Pandora Greenbox is a popular dining spot in Split, known for its lush greenery and commitment to eco-friendly practices. The restaurant, which opened in 2019, has quickly become a staple of the city's vegetarian scene. Its menu features high-quality plant-based dishes like burgers, beetroot risottos, and acai bowls. What sets Pandora Greenbox apart is its dedication to minimizing the use of plastic.
Amazing food. First time I have ever tried a tofu steak! It was filling and tasty. The spicy pasta was also quite nice. We also appreciated the generous size of the dessert (brownie with chocolate sauce). Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
Samanvay K — Google review
This vegan restaurant is hands-on the best we've ever visited. The food presentation is nothing short of stunning. Each plate is crafted with care and creativity. Every bite speaks of top-quality ingredients. It's clear the chefs here are passioante about what they do. We could enjoy Juicy Marbles steaks here, a rare find in Croatia and rare treat. The menu features signature meals. Among them, the standout for us was the starter for two called Garden. It was presented as a moss garden on a plate where every element was edible. The creativity and execution were simply amazing. Despite the high quality and gourmet feel, the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended, definitevely value for money.
Marko O — Google review
We ate breakfast at Green Pandora Box and liked it so much that we went back for dinner. I think the vegetarian menu is a nice touch—it helps the restaurant stand out. The interior is very cute and whimsical, like something out of a fairy tale, and the space is relatively small and cozy. The waiters were friendly and asked several times if we were enjoying the food. For breakfast, we had the Big Breakfast Plate, which was nice, and the pancakes. For dinner, we both had the sliders. Everything was good and a nice change for us. The prices are a bit high, but that’s typical for most restaurants in the Old Town.
Nathalie T — Google review
Came to this place for lunch recommended by our tour guide. Ordered the sliders and vegan omelette. Both were tasty and delicious .The french fries was well cooked. It is a bit over priced but we are in the heart of the old town.
Melvon M — Google review
This place was amazing. They were incredibly accommodating of celiac disease. The waitress let me know that though there may be some cross contamination they will do their best to avoid it and have not had any issues in the past with people with celiac eating here. I went for dinner one day and went back for breakfast the next. I got their fries, risotto, açaí bowl, women’s juice, a big salad, and polenta. Everything was yummy and gluten free.
Cait M — Google review
Great food in a beautiful restaurant. We had the vegan omelette and a bowl for breakfast there and I decided to go back to try the vegan filet, which was very good. The restaurant is a bit in the pricey side, but it was worth it for me.
Majd H — Google review
My favourite place to eat in Split! The food is delicious and beautifully presented. The staff are friendly, service is quick and food is ready very quick too. Highly, highly recommend!
Amy W — Google review
In Split there are many vegan options and surely Pandora Greenbox is one of the best. It is wonderfully located in the historical centre, it is very particular with a big tree inside and it has an huge variety of foods and drinks. I had for dinner the amazing Pandora’s Little Garden and it was a great choise: I truly loved it! It looks wonderful, it’s full of flavours well combined, it’s funny, colourful, it’s delicious!!! After it I was full but I couldn’t resist and I took a dessert too: a really really good and fresh Lemon Cake with Coconut Crakers and Cream and a Strawberry&Rose Sauce. Last but not least, the waitress was very kind and nice! So, if you’re in Split, doesn’t matter if you are vegan or not, try Pandora Greenbox and you will not be disappointed!

SILK - Pan-Asian Fusion and Izakaya in Split is a top choice for Asian cuisine, offering a variety of dishes including sushi, noodles, rice, dim sum, salads, curries and okonomiyaki. The restaurant has gained a reputation for its delicious food and quick service. It's known to be on the pricier side but worth it for those looking to indulge in high-quality Asian street food.
Yum yum YUM! I am writing this review with a very happy tummy and a very smiley face (after the very strong and delicious martini cocktail). The food was so fresh and flavourful and the service was on point! Thank you for a great night! (No photos of food it disappeared too quickly!)
Lily S — Google review
This place is a great if you want to experience asian cuisine in Split. The food was really tasty and the portions were big. The prices were cheaper than most of split. The service was kind and fast. The atmosphere was warm. But the only bad thing is that the space is small and a bit too crowded.
A V — Google review
Silk has a great menu which you can choose to share or have your own meals. The Asian fusion was delicious and wouldn’t be out of place in Melbourne. Highly popular place, we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but it was well worth it. The eggplant fingers are amazing.
Sarah R — Google review
Nice small place, good atmosphere. The food was good, but the only deception was the ceviche, that was not a ceviche at all. It was more like a tiradito and it had tons of coconut milk on it, so you couldn’t taste anything else on the plate. Instead of being a refreshing dish it turned out to be anything but that. Also this plate was really small for the price. Wouldn’t recommend it, but the rest was nice.
Melissa M — Google review
Silk is one of my favorite places. Been to the one in Zagreb many times and now tried Split. Food is great, not too much seats in Split but I’d recommend to go here and enjoy the food.
Avi Ø — Google review
We had the Hong Kong noodles with prawn and it was tasty but not a very big portion at all. This dish was €24.50 so pretty expensive (for any country) and the total bill was €58.00 for 2 dishes and 2 soft drinks. The tables are pretty crammed in so you sit very close to the other customers (all with chopsticks in hand and bits of food/sauce splashing around) so would be difficult to recommend for a meal out.
IH88 — Google review
Needs reservations esp on weekends, extremely hard to find a spot even for two people otherwise. We had to come back with reservation next day and the place was packed, didn’t enjoy sitting so close to the other customers really Food is really good, drinks are nice. They have alcohol and non alcoholic options. Portion size is fair and filling. But definitely overpriced. We got two starters, two mains and two drinks and ended up spending close to 90€, not including tip Service was only ok, when my husband was done and I was still not finished the waiter did take away my plate until I protested, this was awkward
Karthika N — Google review
We are a little bit disappointed. They got so many positive reviews, but the food wasn’t worth the high price. The soups was good, the fried rice was nice, but it wasn’t that special and too expensive. The service was terrible. No mocktails or cocktails. The best part was one of the waitress spilled our drink, she said sorry and nothing else. No convenience for emptying the bottle.

A fun place with great food and a great atmosphere, Baza Street food & bar is the perfect spot for an afternoon drink or quick bites. Their cocktail menu is wide and their tapas-style plates are all very affordable, making it the perfect place to go if you're looking for something casual and affordable.
Went in on a Monday afternoon for lunch and there was ample seating. We tried the shrimp tacos and the vegan noodles. The noodles were absolutely delicious. The onion jam added great flavour and my kids loved it. The tacos were good as well. The shells were hard and the 3 tacos made for a good portion size.

Top food and great service. I tried beef tatare & lamb risotto, both were equally good. I would reccomend anyone to try this place while in Split. Value for money is great! They have good selection of wines as well.
Blue N — Google review
What a great place! Nearly everywhere closed for food as it was late and off season but Baza was not only open but really chilled vibe, friendly, and food was amazing. Spring rolls were the best any of us remember having and every dish was beautifully presented and lovely flavours. Highly recommend!

Excellent breakfast spot! Baza has far more variety for breakfast than any other restaurant we found. And everything we ordered was delicious and very reasonably priced. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Absolutely loved this place! The food was super delicious with generous portions at a great price. We went on a Tuesday and enjoyed live music, which added such a nice vibe to the evening. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the location is perfect, right in the heart of Split. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting. We’ll definitely be coming back! – Saskia 🌟

Excellent small place, food was great. The risotto and mussels were FANTASTIC, the flavors very authentic and delicious. The young man who helped us was friendly and professional, spoke good English and was very attentive. He made an already great meal, better. Highly recommend this place. I will be back. They even had a guitar player. 👏👏

We visited Baza in Split last night and were absolutely impressed! What truly surprised us in the best way was their extensive selection of biodynamic wines, made with natural yeasts and without additives. The variety and quality of the food were outstanding – everything tasted fresh and beautifully prepared. It’s rare to find such a thoughtful wine list in Split, especially with so many vegetarian-friendly options on the menu. This place is a real gem for anyone looking for exceptional food, great service and a unique, conscious dining experience. Highly recommended!

Restaurant
NOIR RESTAURANT SPLIT is a charming eatery located in the wider city center, popular among locals and office workers for lunch. The restaurant boasts a cozy and well-decorated interior, making it an ideal spot for a romantic evening meal. Recently rebranded as an Italian restaurant, NOIR offers delectable handmade pasta, flavorful antipasti, and mouthwatering desserts.
Excellent restaurant in Split, perfect for spending a pleasant evening. The atmosphere is very well-maintained, the food is excellent, and the staff is very kind and helpful. The food arrived promptly and was truly delicious. It’s one of the few restaurants where I’ve eaten so well in my life. I absolutely recommend it!
Sanja N — Google review
This restaurant has a very cozy and good looking terrace. It is too bad that it is located right next to a busy intersection that causes quite some noise and air pollution. We got a very kind waiter who helped us really well throughout the entire evening. Our appetizers and drinks arrived quickly and they tasted lovely. However, we had to wait a very long time before we finally got our main course. Ultimately, it was worth the wait, because all dishes that we had were very tasty. One improvement would be to give a sharp knife with meat dishes. I had lamb and it was fairly hard to cut through it with only a butter knife. Where the main dish took a very long time to arrive, the time for the desert to arrive was relatively insane. We ordered a single lava cake, which took more than half an hour. On top of that, the scoop of ice cream was almost completely melted when we got it.. we were very disappointed at that sight.
Wouter — Google review
Restaurant Noir in Split is truly a pleasant surprise and a recommendation for anyone who appreciates good pasta and expertly crafted dishes. During my visit, I was convinced that this is a place that understands the importance of quality, especially when it comes to simple dishes like Cacio e Pepe. Although the recipe is minimal, they use exceptionally high-quality cheese that lends a special creaminess and texture to the dish. Unfortunately, the staff told me that the demand for Cacio e Pepe isn’t very high, which surprised me since they prepare it excellently. Unlike the classic recipe, in my opinion, they use a milder version of pecorino here, tailored to the tastes of most guests, though I personally would prefer a slightly more intense pecorino flavor. As for the service, there could be a bit more attention and presence from the staff, but I actually appreciated that we weren't constantly interrupted. I prefer this relaxed atmosphere to the feeling of being "pestered" every few minutes. So, kudos to the staff. I was able to order the Cacio e Pepe even though it wasn’t on the main menu, but luckily for me, it was still available. To end on a high note, the dessert exceeded all expectations – perfectly prepared, rich in flavor, and definitely worth saving room for as the sweet finishing touch. All in all, Restaurant Noir definitely exceeds expectations. It's one of the rare places in Split that I would always happily recommend to Italian cuisine lovers.

2 fillet steaks, aged rump steak and lamb ragu. Waiter was helpful from the get go, made suggestions. Made sure we had everything we needed, was polite. Food was absolutely gorgeous. Perfect to a T, could not fault it.
Jasmine G — Google review
My family and I had dinner at Noir, and the first thing that comes to mind is the excellent service we received. Our waiter made us feel truly welcome and even went the extra mile by taking our orders in our native language, French, which we deeply appreciated. For my main course, I ordered the prawn tagliatelle. Unfortunately, the dish was overwhelmingly dominated by the taste of prawns, it almost seemed like a prawn paste had been added to the sauce. This made the dish overly intense and somewhat off-putting. Feeling slightly unsatisfied, I ordered the chocolate soufflé for dessert, and let me tell you, I was not disappointed! It was one of the best I’ve had. Perfectly cooked, not overly sweet, and the contrast between the warm soufflé and the cold ice cream created an incredible mouthfeel. My only regret - Offering to share with my brother, could have easily had another one!

What a gem! If you want quality local restaurant that is actually focused on the quality of food and service unlike the touristy places, this is it! I think it was the owner that served us but he was so kind and very passionate about everything. The pizza was one of the best we've had so far on our European trip. Muscles with white wine was so simple yet flavorful. The white wines he recommended to us was a delight. Most of all, the price was amazing. This restaurant is made for locals and it's better food than anywhere near the populated areas near the coast.

If you want to have dinner outside the busy old town of Split then this is the right place. The restaurant is very cosy with the possibility to sit outside. Do try one of the risotto’s, they are very well prepared. The lamb and the burger were also delicious. Good value for money.

Konoba "Kod Sfinge Vaneuropske Zviri" is a charming family-owned restaurant in Split, offering traditional Dalmatian cuisine. The atmosphere is laid-back and lively, with an eclectic mix of music playing. The owner adds to the welcoming vibe with her warm humor. The menu features delicious dishes like sausage pasta and truffle-infused specialties. For a unique experience, diners recommend sitting at a table on the stairs for great people-watching.
The most memorable restaurant in Split for me - I had a delicious black risotto which made for a great first time trying. The interior of the restaurant has so much character, with quirky decorations and ornaments. Not only is the food good, the owner was very friendly and helpful. We bumped into her one more time and she recommended us some other restaurants to eat at, one of which we tried and was amazing! She really knows her stuff, is hilarious and a down to earth and honest person - one who made the experience a lot more memorable. If there's one restaurant to visit in Split, i think it's this one. It's the peak of a Konoba experience :)

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and it was a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. We began with a platter of local cheeses and cured meats, which was the perfect way to kick off our meal. For the main course, I had the delicious grilled sea bass, and my wife ordered the fantastic seafood ravioli, which was cooked to perfection. The food was absolutely fantastic, but what really made our evening special was the service. The staff was incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel right at home. We even had the chance to chat with the owner, who was so passionate and welcoming. It was a lovely touch that really made the whole experience feel personal. I can't recommend this place enough!

This place was on my list for a while and I left it for later to compare with other experience in Split. I should say it’s in my top places. I reserved a table same day and could easily walk in on agreed time. Food was fresh and delicious, no complaints about portions. I should admit that it was one of the best seafood risotto I’ve ever tried. I don’t know how they made broth but I couldn’t stop having it with some bread. Tuna steak was juicy. Mussels’ size was good and they were meaty. Service was fast and friendly. Owner was very welcoming.

Kod Sfinge’s Seafood Risotto is the best one I have ever tried! Full of fresh ingredients like Shrimps, clams, mussels and the sauce is made of seafood soup. Different layers of seafood tastes blend together, strongly impressed my taste buds! Very unforgettable! The environment is transquil and comfortable. The staffs are welcoming and nice . I will come again in the future.

This restaurant caught our eye while we were wandering around the city, so we went for dinner the next day. Everything felt so homely, and the food was absolutely delicious. Our table of four shared the main dishes, and we all had different favourites. Overall, we had a wonderful experience here, and we would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to try local dishes and fresh seafood.

A wonderful find away from the tourists. The owner is gracious and provides suggestions such as the platter of sheep cheese and homemade sausage. I had Gorgonzola bacon risotto with ridichio, and, Ravioli with shrimp and mussels in a saffron sauce. Thanks for the wonderful evening.

Amazing little hidden gem in the old town. Lovely staff, delicious food and light on pocket. Think it is family owned business. Must visit if you are in Split. PS: Go a bit early and try their grilled lamb, which was sold out by the time we reached.
Suraj P — Google review
Konoba Kod Sfinge Vanefantastic Zviri was fantastic and the vibes are cool and casual. I ordered the spicy prawns with polenta, and my travel partner had the bacon and gorgonzola risotto special. We also enjoyed the house wines and finished with a maraschino liqueur digestive. Everything was delicious. The restaurant was busy both times we visited, but the staff did an excellent job communicating wait times and keeping guests informed. We loved it so much that we went twice and ordered the same dishes again. The service was excellent and the food consistently outstanding. Substitutions aren’t really an option, so it’s best to choose something you genuinely like and can eat. My spicy prawns with polenta were both dairy- and gluten-free, and absolutely delicious.
