Chinese noodle restaurant
Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles is a casual Chinese eatery that offers a variety of dishes such as pan-fried noodles, soups, dumplings, and traditional entrees. One of their standout dishes is the dan dan noodles, which are firm noodles coated in a subtly spicy chili oil and topped with minced pork, scallions, and greens.
Damn delicious. This no-frills gem is everything you want in a Chinatown noodle spot. We grabbed a table outside—perfect for a bar crawl intermission—and were blown away. The shrimp dumplings? Insane. I should’ve ordered double. Fresh, flavorful, perfectly pan-fried. We split the beef pan-fried noodles (extra wide) for our main, and the sauce was incredible—rich, savory, with generous overflow. Every bite hit. Paired with a crisp Chinese beer and the total was under $40. It’s an institution for a reason, and now I get it. I’ll definitely be back.

This place absolutely hits the spot! I mean don’t get me wrong, it is no fancy service, and they give you water pitchers to drink water with paper coffee cups, but in all honesty it is all part of its charm. It is a little hole (somewhat hidden) in Chinatown, packed with delicious food. You can truly taste the quality of the hand pulled noodles, and the prices are reasonable (especially for the serving sizes) 10/10
Tiffany R — Google review
Don't be fooled by the simple storefront; the hand-pulled noodles here are the real deal. In this no-frills spot, every bit of focus is on the food. Loved the scallion pancakes, soup dumplings and the shrimp noodle soup was delicious. The freshest, chewiest hand-pulled noodles you'll find anywhere. They have that perfect texture that only comes from being made to order. It's a quick, cheap, and utterly delicious experience that proves you don't need fancy decor for world-class flavor.

So delicious. My whole family absolutely LOVED each dish we got. We showed up hungry and walked away stuffed! Service was super fast. Staff were friendly. I’ll come back! Also, price wise it was pretty good. I was actually shocked at how little we spent for the three of us!
Arthur J — Google review
Exactly what I was looking for! Knife cut veggie stir fry noodles were fantastically chewy and came with a great amount of vegetables. Large portion size for the price. This place certainly lives up to its name! Service was quick and no frills. They do accept credit card despite the cash only sign.
Joshua — Google review
Delicious and cheap original Chinese food. Soups, noddles, dumplings and more We spend less than $100 four persons. Several choices Highly recommend.
Oscar L — Google review
Tremendous food. We loved the noodles with beef, yummy dumplings, and best scallion pancake ever. Service is efficient and friendly enough. Not a lot of frills in here. Fun to sit outside in the street.
Stephen Z — Google review
Delicious beef noodles and shrimp XLB soup dumplings. The staff is amazing- they gave great recommendations. Love the large serving size as well! They have outdoor seating in the summer

Ramen restaurant
Asian restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant Prospect Heights neighborhood, Chuko is a must-visit for ramen enthusiasts and food lovers alike. This trendy eatery has been delighting patrons since its inception in 2011 as an offshoot of Manhattan's renowned Morimoto. Despite its cozy size, there's often a line outside, drawn by the irresistible flavors of their signature noodle bowls. The menu may be compact, but it features a delightful array of broths and toppings that cater to both meat lovers and vegetarians.
Pricey but worth it. It's hard to not kick yourself after spending $25 on a bowl of ramen, but I'm not mad. The noodles were fresh and perfectly chewy, the broth was delicious, and it was a perfect spicy bowl of comfort on a cold day. My friend got a pork bun and said it was delicious as well. We shared a bottle of sake, which completed the entire experience. We went for dinner on a Monday night and were sat immediately. I advise arriving before 7pm if you have more than 2 people and don't want to wait.
AD W — Google review
It was all so delicious!!!! Forgot to take a picture of the ramen...but it's so worth it. Also had the chili wings and pork bun...all yes. And Christopher was a great server!
Linsey M — Google review
I love how small and comfy the atmosphere was in the restaurant !! The Ramen was so filling and flavorful ! I will absolutely be coming to try every item on the menu !!
Mistress S — Google review
I used to love this place. I came back after a few years away and was sad to see the price go up and no longer include almost all the toppings, egg and protein. If you order a ramen with no add ons, it will look sad with cabbage?! And maybe nori? Idk super disappointed. Also the server was wearing maybe half the bottle of cologne and that messed with my smell and taste. I ordered the kimchi ramen and the topping included cabbage lol - kimchi is already cabbage?? By the time I added all the things that used to come with the ramen it was $32 for a bowl that used to be $16-$18. shrinkflation is annoying and lost a customer since 2011. I used to tell everyone I met that this was the best ramen. Weird how people get used to things like this and don’t realize there’s better and cheaper elsewhere in the city!
Not M — Google review
This place is amazing. I remember them located across the street or it might be something else. The space is big and opens late. The food is delicious especially the chicken wings. Food is good. Too bad we ate beforehand but we end up order for half of the table and the ramen is amazing. Great flavor and well made. Service is great. Food came pretty quickly and we appreciate they are understanding that some of us ate beforehand.
Kevin Z — Google review
The place delivers taste without high costs. You won't encounter similar cuisine at nearby places. The entire staff remembers returning customers. The menu here avoids unnecessary complexity. Although I don't give praise easily, this place earns it.
Vanessa C — Google review
They charge your credit card With a predetermined tip Before serving your food. Waitress was good but the older manager lady actually told me to change seats before I was finished eating. She was very rude about it too, trying to seat a family of 4 that was coming in. She kept pointing at another seat without apologizing. The food was sub par. Not good. I suggest you go somewhere else. Part of the menu was not available.
Alex A — Google review
Pretty good Ramen place with limited but yet very tasty selection. The place doesn't take reservations and operates on a first come - first serve basis . So get ready to stay in line. My personal recommendations are Brussel sprouts and Miso Ramen. The sesame is good, too.

Sichuan restaurant
Little Pepper is a family-run eatery that offers a fantastic selection of Sichuan dishes with a spicy kick, along with some Cantonese options. The menu features lip-numbing Chongqing-style chicken, dan dan noodles, classic mapo tofu, shredded potato with green pepper, crispy scallion pancake, fried potato in hot sauce, and cold-smashed cukes.
Although I don’t get to come often, I really enjoy eating here. My advice would be to have patience and flexibility as it’s a true family run business with a mom and pop team running everything. I do appreciate that they will let you know when food will take longer- have a cold beer or some house tea while you wait for delicious food. I am not an expert but I’ve traveled to China for work a few times and the food here takes me back to there, authentic and delicious!
Meredith Z — Google review
Feeling lucky to try out before they close.. the owner told us they are about to retire. If u r around the area, visit once for authentic Chinese food! Plus, super nice pricy. Sharing some dishes I remember below. 💚🍚🥄Green onion fried rice was super special. Look might weird but smelled really good and the taste was simple but rich. 🍤✨Fried shrimp was delicious. Simply pick the one you like. 🍲Fish soup was good too. 🥔fried shredded potato in sour sauce was good toooooo! Highly recommend this one.
Julia H — Google review
I have to say I was pretty disappointed with the food. The Sliced Pork Belly w. Chili Garlic Sauce was actually sweet, which threw me off. I lost interest after just one bite. The so-called “paper-wrapped lamb” was really just cumin lamb served on a piece of foil. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t particularly good either, and it was quite salty. The biggest letdown was the mapo tofu. The tofu had no flavor at all, and the sauce wasn’t numbing or spicy. Mapo tofu is supposed to be one of the signature dishes of Sichuan cuisine, and seeing it done so poorly was honestly frustrating. The rest of the dishes were more or less acceptable, but the fish had a noticeably not-so-fresh texture. Ironically, the best thing I had was the simple scallion fried rice, though even that was a bit salty. On the bright side, the owner clearly has some artistic talent, all the paintings in the restaurant were his own work.

Little Pepper: A Hidden Gem in Whitestone Little Pepper is a delightful, unassuming restaurant nestled in Whitestone. Street parking was readily available on a Saturday morning. The clean interior and friendly service created a welcoming atmosphere. Our server was exceptionally patient, especially with my son's enthusiasm for authentic Szechuan cuisine. We were thoroughly impressed by every dish we ordered, particularly the mapo tofu and chicken with three type of mushrooms. Even as someone who isn't a fan of spicy food, I found plenty of delicious options to enjoy. Without a doubt, Little Pepper is highly recommended. We'll definitely be returning to savor more of their fantastic food.
She R — Google review
I ordered Yangzhou Fried Rice, which was great, plus the Beef with Broccoli, which I asked via the Uber Eats app to make not spicy, plus asked for utensils. The Beef arrived swimming in hot sauce with bits of hot peppers, and no utensils. Please read the instructions next time!

Authentic Sichuan food. If you like Fuchsia Dunlop’s Fin and Peppercorn, and love Sichuan Food, you just try this.
Xiaochun W — Google review
Very, very highly recommended. A fish-flavored eggplant conquered me.😃
Jay L — Google review
Holy S*** this place is fantastic. The flavors are balanced. The spicy dishes were hot, but not blinding hot, I could taste the food. I will keep returning to try all the things on the menu. Parking in the area is challenging, but totally worth the effort.

American restaurant
Noodle shop
Momofuku Noodle Bar, founded by David Chang in 2004, is a renowned Asian-accented American restaurant that has been a pioneer in the ramen craze in New York City. The open kitchen and minimalist decor create an inviting atmosphere for diners. The menu features a variety of dishes, including crispy Korean fried chicken and soft pork buns.
This is our go to noodle bar in East Village for dinner with my wife. I haven’t tried too many noodles before, but I can easily say these are the best I’ve had. The chicken noodles are our absolute favorite. As for dessert the last one we tried was incredible. Everything is homemade, and you can watch the whole cooking process through their open kitchen, which is spotless and well organized. The staff is just as impressive as the food super friendly, helpful, and understanding. Special thanks to my friend Dominick. If you’re looking for a delicious dinner, a warm atmosphere, and great service, this place is absolutely the right choice.
Mucahit E — Google review
Loved my experience here. Service was anticipatory despite it being packed on a Friday night. The chicken dishes were the star of the evening the marinade was on POINT great balance of sweet and acidity. I would say the noodles are good but I somehow found the chicken dishes just spectacular. Pork belly is very tender but could use more flavor. All in all the vibe and overall team made it a great night for us. It can get so loud in the resto so if you want a quiet place to chat don’t come on a peak night.
Jean D — Google review
It’s a great vibe definitely geared towards younger crowd. The tables are small and the have stools without backs. A bit on the loud side. Food and service are great. Price is reasonable for what they serve. The hand rolls and pork belly baos are delicious. So was the ginger scallion noodles. The milk chocolate pie was really good. The smoked pork ramen was our least favorite. My expectations were much higher for the broth.
James P — Google review
Momofuku Noodle Bar is a Japanese fusion restaurant with multiple branches. I visited their branch located in New York City’s East Village. The location was quite convenient and as there is a subway station nearby, it is easy to get to. Upon entering the restaurant, you will be greeted by friendly staff and a clean dining environment. The staff are happy to assist you with any ordering or general query. Before coming to this establishment, I had read many positive reviews and therefore had high hopes for the food quality. However, things started to go south as soon as the first dish arrived at the table. I found the smoked chicken wings to be too salty, though the meat was somewhat tender. As for the crispy spring chicken, whilst the chicken skin had a good texture, I found the dish to be slightly over-seasoned. Despite not getting off to a great start, I was excited to try their ramen since many of the positive reviews mentioned their noodles. Unlike the other two dishes, it turned out the ramen was not over-seasoned at all. It was quite the opposite. I found the noodles to be somewhat bland. Whilst the smoked pork tasted decent, it was unable to make up for the lack of flavour in the broth. Overall, while you will not have a horrible experience dining at this restaurant, there are better options for those looking for high quality authentic Asian flavours at a similar price point.
Ryan K — Google review
NOODLES WERE SO GOOD. Iconic spot. Chicken wings were alright, not really special. BAOS WERE THE BEST. I see the hype and why this place is so famous, but I feel like they could’ve given me MORE. Overall, yum.
Priscilla W — Google review
the pork belly baos were the best bites of the night. i don’t think we’d get the bavette steak again. it wasn’t the most tender steak and just not our fav we’ve had at this price point. the potato butter felt like it was trying to pick up the slack. the ramen was tasty! we got the pork ramen and the pork belly was so fatty and tender. the noodles were nice and bouncy, i just wish the broth was slightly less salty. don’t get me wrong- i love salt (i am actually a salt addict) but this was just too salty for me. it could be that it was just too much with the other dishes we ordered. we wanted to get dessert but were too “riched out” and full. good efficiency and friendly service even with the noise level in the restaurant. food came quickly.
Sophie S — Google review
We went on Friday, and it was lively. The design is beautiful—everything in warm wood. Lots of people, lots of dishes. Behind the bar there’s always a board like at the airport: sometimes greeting guests, sometimes rearranging letters into the menu. No vegetable broth, which was a pity. The chicken one was fine, though we’re used to something richer and with more ingredients inside. The shrimp noodles were decent—the sauce tied the whole dish together nicely. The pork bao buns were tasty, if you enjoy fatty pork. They came with cucumber and sauce, although the Michelin guide photo shows them with a lettuce leaf. The tuna hand roll, which you assemble yourself, turned out unbearably spicy—we had to return it. Everything was fast, fresh, and made with quality ingredients. The presentation was very simple. The secret is in the simplicity, though that may not be to everyone’s taste.
Kristina Z — Google review
Excellent experience, unbelievably kind wait staff. Came in for a promotion that I failed to read the fine print on, but they honored it anyway. The food was on point, and it was an overall great experience. The shrimp bun, rice cake, and bavette steak were standout dishes, but everything was delicious

Hana Noodle Station is a hidden gem in the DeKalb food court, offering freshly made noodles at an affordable price. The menu includes a variety of noodle dishes such as dry noodles, soup noodles, and fried rice. The Classic Lanzahou with hand-pulled flat noodles and savory broth is highly recommended. Another must-try dish is the Zhajiang Mian Noodles, loaded with pork meat and vegetables at a reasonable price.
In this building on the lower floor is where an Underground of the most delicious food in Brooklyn. Booths, tables, It’s a city of Food by itself and some of these dishes are just delicious. And that is what I found in Hana. During the late 70s and early 80s I would go to Chinatown in New York City to get delicious food. then stores open up in Brooklyn, mom and pops Chinese food and I liked it but I didn’t love it. It was just too fast. I came to New Jersey,to visit and we ordered Chinese food from a place called Chinatown Resturant and I thought that I had walked into the 80s. The food was so good. Last week Sunday I went to downtown Brooklyn to the market. I didn’t know what to choose because it was so many vendors ,foodies. I decided to eat Asian food and I stopped by this small room of four people behind this booth ordered shrimp and rice. They gave me so much. I didn’t think I could eat it but it was so fantastic so 1978 1987. That’s how good it was. It was original Asian food, Chinese food. I don’t know what else to say to you, because thinking about it and not being able to go there at this moment, it really hurts my feelings. It was the texture. The shrimp popped in my mouth. It was not dry and not wet and it was very hot from the skillet and the smell of it the amount of money which was probably $13 for the huge container she gave me I took one more bite and I said he’ll with it. I’m eating it all. This is not something that you go home in Brooklyn and go back-and-forth to the refrigerator. Just trying to finish it. I’m finishing it right now and I did , and I’m happy and that’s why I’m sending you there because I know you’re gonna love it. Trust me on this one they know what they’re doing.

Good food overall; fried rice was a bit dry but the scallion pancakes and mushroom dumplings were great. The service was very fast.
Esra K — Google review
the laksa here is soooo good! can tell the noodles are hand pulled as they can lack a small variety in size. the broth was perfectly flavored and the overall meal was delicious. will definitely be coming back!
Naz — Google review
This restaurant is a gem. They make fresh noodles in house and for a bowl of noodles with generous amount of veggies and meat, usually it only costs a little above $10. Especially in DeKalb food court, everything is pretty pricey, so I’d confidently recommend this restaurant to every one. I’ve tried their dry noodle, soup noodle, fried rice. I’d say their noodle is the best but other dishes are also good.
Yi C — Google review
Edit: Bland and over priced. I was depressed after having their “hand pulled” noodles. It was just chicken lo mein. No salt to top it off Very tasty, a bit pricy but out of all the food spots down there it’s a solid choice! I love the handpulled noodles with beef and the scallion pancake. Didn’t like the Thai style tea but everything else was hot and fresh! Check it out in the dekalb food market!
Izzy F — Google review
I tried their Zhajiang Mian Noodles (which is a dish I had for the first time), and it was savory, delicious, and extremely filling. The dish is loaded with pork meat and vegetables, and it was at a very affordable price too (especially compared to other food stalls there).
Artemis G — Google review
10.1.17 - went for a quick bite. The noodles were over cooked and some ingredients were too sweet or too salty. It seems tonnage a following, but I don't think it's that great. However, I've only been once, so I will have to give it another few goes before the verdict is out.
A L — Google review
The noodles and soup are great, very tasty, but the bubble tea it's a nahhhhh don't waste your money! ( it's like they put corn starch in the drink itself, so make it heavy and thick-gross!!!)

Spectacular all around! Everything we tried was delicious. The seaweed kimchi was phenomenal, the ramen - out of this world (every single spoonful and every bite was divine), very interesting n/a drinks and the smoothest cheesecake. Very nice staff. We got there at around 3:45 p.m., and it was nearly empty. Food was served very quickly, and it's very convenient that you can pay through the QR code on your table. We were also really surprised by how low the prices were compared to the quality they offer! If we lived closer, I would eat there every day! Can't wait to go back!

Incredible food. The guys were also really helpful when my friend had certain allergy requirements. Ask for them to suggest the must haves. I loved the signature chicken ramen with noodles. We also had the pastrami buns and eggplant. So so so good.

Ivan Ramen (yes, the Chef’s Table legend!) did not disappoint, chicken broth has been simmered for 8 hours, smooth yet silky, soft-boiled egg stirred in for that velvety touch, noodles with a perfect chewy bite. Crispy chicken skin + scallions on top = flavor bomb . And I loved those roasted tomatoes! Skin crackly, tangy-sweet and refreshing—such a genius twist! Will definitely return.

Amazing ramen! Had the spicy miso one. Very rich broth and the spice blend to the point with a divine garlic touch. Yet it was more of a Mala noodles to me. Noodles were perfectly cooked (a bit thin for my taste tho). Will come again for the tonkotsu.

This is my third or fourth time here. It’s always a great time, no matter the time of day or week. I came for lunch today and tried their new spicy veggie miso ramen and it’s honestly some of THE BEST ramen I’ve had in the area and city. As a noodle lover I’m always pleased when a place continues to elevate their menu.

Absolutely exceptional Ramen. The appetizer of the crunchy chicken was really yummy. The Ramen was a whole other level of ramen I’ve never had before. I got the Ramen with the crispy chicken on top. It was out of this world.
Alexa C — Google review
Ivan Ramen offers a refreshing take on a classic dish. The noodles were firm with a unique flavor, likely from a different flour blend, and stood out from any ramen I’ve had before. The broth also had a creative twist that felt light and clean without losing depth. I had the spicy miso and i think there is mala in there.. the different spice profile is well balanced. It’s a great example of how you can deviate from tradition and still deliver something just as satisfying as the original. Service is good - the staff is very attentive. Restaurant lighting is a little too dim imo.

Very Fresh Noodles is a popular spot in Chelsea Market known for its hand-pulled noodle soups and bowls, offering options like beef, lamb, and vegan dishes. The Taiwanese beef noodle soup is particularly praised for its tender beef chunks and chewy flat noodles. Customers also recommend the spicy vegan noodles with mock duck, bok choy, and mushrooms. Despite long queues, visitors find the wait worthwhile for dishes like the Cumin Noodles.
very delicious highly recommend. We got the tingly and spicy cumin lamb dry and La Mei Taiwanese beef noodle soup mild. My wife typically doesn’t like very spicy food and the La Mei was perfect for her. The broth was delicious and full of flavor. The Cumin lamb was really good. Not too spicy but enough that it really added to the experience. We stumbled across this place on accident and were very happy with it.

The Beef Dry Noodles were amazing – perfectly stir-fried with tender beef and flavorful noodles. Was a bit spicy though but you can ask them for less spicy. Service is quick, and the casual vibe makes it a perfect spot for a tasty, satisfying meal while exploring the market.
D A — Google review
The meal featured commendable overall quality, highlighted by fresh ingredients and a satisfying amount of meat. Unfortunately, the house-made noodles were the dish's weakest point. They were noticeably undercooked, retaining a raw, 'fresh dough' taste and chewy texture. While I appreciate the labor and visual draw of hand-pulled or hand-made noodles, this undercooking ultimately lowered the standard of the entire dish.

Enjoy a quick meal while shopping at Chelsea market at evening time. It‘s crowded and long queue to order but ordering process is quick. We had Tingly and spicy cumin lamb soup and La Mei Taiwanese beef noodle soup. The noodles are think and freshly made, chewy and satisfying with the spicy flavour. Make sure you could take the spicy taste or order the mild spicy instead.

Hey I’m walking here. In New York super cool Place Chelsea market. A lot of people, super crowded but none the less still pretty cool. Went with a few friends. You get to see them making the noodles. They come out relatively fast and they taste pretty good. The noodles are soft but still have some chew and the spice is not super spicy. Kinda of oily but what can you expect from soup like that. Overall great spot, definitely one of the better spots in Chelsea market. My Beli have it a 7.5 I think and I’d say that’s somewhat accurate. More like a 7.4 ish but pretty much the same. Great spot!

Whent on a short food crawl here and I couldnt resist the smells at this place. We ordered the Cumin Lamb Noodles and the fried and glazed Eggplant (cant recall the exact name). The noodles very enjoyable but a tad more spicy than I expected; sauce is well balanced and the noodles were very soft yet bouncy. I enjoyed the food but I wished they had tossed the noodles and the sauce before serving. I frankly did not enjoy the eggplant; which was a shame cause it was fried perfectly but the sauce was too sweet for my liking. Place is a no nonsense place to get a bite so dont expect too much in the way of service or experience.

I had a very bad experience at Very Fresh Noodles. I ordered the Spicy Pork Noodles and honestly, it was one of the worst meals I’ve had in NYC. The noodles were drowning in oil, with a thick layer sitting at the bottom of the bowl. The amount of MSG was overwhelming, leaving me thirsty and uncomfortable even after just a few bites. The spice level wasn’t flavorful — it was just harsh heat that burned without adding any real depth to the dish. The pork and vegetables were coated in grease, and everything felt heavy and unpleasant to eat. Even the wrappers and chopsticks got soaked in oil, which says a lot about how excessive it was. I couldn’t finish it — I actually had to throw most of it away, which I almost never do. If you’re sensitive to spice, salt, or oily food, I would stay far away from this dish. For me, it was a complete waste of money and a very disappointing experience.

We stumbled upon this place when it was almost closing time. We ordered the spicy vegan noodles with broth. They mention the dry order is better but I was in the mood for some soup. The soup broth was surprisingly pretty good and hearty. Definitely recommend trying the food here when you visit Chelsea Market.

Restaurant
Han Dynasty is a popular restaurant known for its outstanding and classic Chinese dishes, with multiple locations across Brooklyn and Manhattan. The restaurant offers a variety of spicy Sichuan dishes, including dan dan noodles and dry pepper chicken wings. Guests can dine in the massive dining rooms or order takeout. The open layout invites both individuals and larger groups to enjoy the colorful array of dishes in a friendly atmosphere.
Had a beautiful dinner last night with a bunch of friends at a huge round table in the back of this restaurant. The service was impeccable, all the food came out super quickly, and they were super attentive. We had a ton of great dishes, ranging from dumplings to fish to chicken, you name it. And very affordable too! We will definitely be back here again soon thanks for a great experience.

Have visited this particular location twice now and have also gone to their UWS location. I particularly enjoyed the wontons in chili oil. The best dish on their menu. The Dan Dan noodles were also great but needed spice so we added chili oil to them. The crab rangoons were unfortunately too sweet for me. I’ll definitely go back and try other options next time!
Sargam B — Google review
MAJOR FOOD SAFETY ISSUES Before sharing what I experienced this morning, it’s important to note that Han Dynasty has had a health code grade pending for quite some time (the Rating Pending sign is visible in their window, as per the law) and that alone should make anyone want to stay away. This morning, I observed their staff unloading vegetables in filthy crates from a filthy van. The handtruck got caught on the curb and spilled the vegetables all over the sidewalk and into the dirt out front. This is the exact location where many of us walk our dogs. The staff proceeded to quickly package the food back up into the crates and wheel it into the restaurant. I went up to them and said, “I saw what just happened - you cannot possibly serve this to your customers.” They replied by saying, “WE WASH!” and then proceeded to ignore me while they moved the crates into their filty basement. Aside from this episode, the crates themselves have holes all around them and should not be stored in an underground cellar where rats and roaches are known to live. I reported this as a health code violation.

The dry pot with fish ($25.95) and Mapo tofu ($16.95) were excellent with the right amount of spiciness. Generous amount of food. Orders came with free white rice and hot tea. Services were really good and we didn’t have to wait too long for the food to come out.

After I saw Zimmerman and Estelle Choi from Heat eaters I thought this would be really good. Well it was ok, nothing more then that. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. Normala appetizers comes first be we got one entree first and then all of the rest at same time. It is ok, its Chinese food and we like to share anyway. We had wonton and dumplings, and those dumplings was really good. Wonton was ok. The salt and peppar shrimps was really good to. But the Dan Dan noodles was really a disapointment. If I lived here then I could go back, but not worth a trip over it.

It was my first time at Han Dynasty, someone on Reddit recommended the Dan Dan Noodles from this specific location, so I made the trip from Queens just to try them. Totally worth it, they were incredible. 10/10! Both my server and the host (his name was Jose) were extremely sweet. Honestly, some of the best customer service I’ve had in a long time. Japanese restaurant
Ichiran is a Japanese ramen chain that offers solo dining booths where customers can enjoy their tonkotsu ramen in privacy. The restaurant allows diners to customize their orders, including flavor strength, noodle tenderness, and fat content. There are also traditional table service options for those who prefer a more social dining experience. In New York City, Ichiran provides the unique experience of enjoying authentic Japanese ramen in individual stations or at regular tables.
The same delicious tonkatsu you’d come to expect from Ichiran. I had the set plus a side of pork and dessert. The extra pork was thicker than the ramen chashu but still very tender. The dessert was delicately creamy. I was by myself and getting sat took about 25 mins on line. I’ve certainly waited longer in Tokyo (especially in the early hours when the boozing crowd looks for food). Unlike the BK (or Japanese locations), most people on line had to be taught the ordering/seating process… not a big deal but certainly slowed things down. Still awesome ramen at a convenient location.
JB J — Google review
The ramen is perfectly fine and the added value of private single seat booth is really nice, it's not as enjoyable as you'd think with friends or family because everyone is sectioned off in their little booths. But for some quiet self time, it's perfect. The staff was friendly, quick and helpful The ramen while fine was just a very basic ramen arrangement. The broth thickness can be adjusted but the flavoring was definitely meant for broader appeal and was found a little on the plainer side of broth offerings. For a Calpico and basic ramen it was about 30+ dollars. While this is a fun little experience, the price point doesn't make this a regular spot. Ramen special/ happy hours would be nice to have.

I had an amazing experience in Ichiran. We waited for a bit for our turn to order and be seated, we were a party or 4 and my friends want to seat together, the staff accommodated us which was really great. Now the food still haunts me to this day. I ordered the spicy tonkotsu, from the broth and the perfectly cooked noodles are so good, everything was so delicious. You can adjust your spice level even after you got your ramen already. The only thing that was off is that if you order boiled eggs you would have to peel yourself, and its kind of a job. Which i do not mind doing but some of my friend think its better if its peeled already. Also the matcha pudding is so delicious, not too heavy for after dinner treat. But overall its a great experience and definitely worth to try! Will definitely come back!!

The Ramen was great but nothing extraordinary for someone who has had ramen before in places like the Bay Area. The long wait (1 hour) was not worth it in my opinion. As far as the food is concerned, it was great and the ramen was flavorful and umami. I ordered spicy level 9 and it was not too hot so I might go with 10 or above next time.
Shashank — Google review
PSA: This is a very unique experience in the US that most won't be familiar with so read on to learn more about it. Food: I got the classic Tonkatsu ramen on medium saltiness, medium spice (2/10), medium noodle cooked level, with green onions, and an egg on the side. They allow you to customize up to 7 different elements of the soup itself, which is already unique in itself and is a testament of its freshness. The noodles were cooked perfectly, they had a nice bounce to them, and the perfect texture. The broth was very clear, smooth, and had a deep savory taste to it that was complimented by a lifting aroma from simmering/being cooked in pork bones. The texture of the broth was not gritty or watery as some places but cooked just right. The broth also appeared very clear and didn't have any impurities as you'd normally see in most chain Ramen restaurants from being overly cooked or overly seasoned. It had a really good balance of seasonings and a surprisingly light body unlike most Tonkatsu's I've had. It's said that only 4 people know the actual recipe for creating the unique flavor of this broth. I would highly recommend trying this out if you're in the area! Service: We were greeted the moment we walked in and asked to customize how we liked our ramen. The waiter was very helpful and polite with the questions I had. The server was also very quick and our order arrived within 2 min of sitting! One additional thing to note, this is a NO TIPPING establishment so that's a huge plus in my books due to the absurd level the food industry has taken it too. Atmosphere: This is where the uniqueness comes into play. Each person is assigned a solo dining booth (if you come in a party, they still put you together), where they are able to focus and enjoy their meal without distractions. When the little food curtain closes, it's just you + ramen, nothing else. Great way to limit distractions and enjoy/appreciate a very tasty bowl of ramen. This was a new experience for me so it took some getting used to but I enjoyed it. Overall, I would 100% come back again. I just wish they would expand and introduce additional meats and broths such as beef or chicken. This would add variety and a bigger incentive to come; otherwise, the ramen was very good!
Matt L — Google review
Such a unique place! You order and pay first, then they guide you to your own seat. You have your private table, and the food is served through a curtain — a really cool experience. The ramen was absolutely delicious, I loved it and would definitely come back!
July J — Google review
Got the Ramen Combo Set + Kaedama. Disclaimer: I’ve visited Ichiran in HK, Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Fukuoka. Initial impressions: Egg was too runny, has the typical North American yellow yolk, vs the deep orange that you find in Japan. Tasted under-seasoned. Noodles were consistently overcooked (ordered medium firm). Chashu was pitifully small, and poorly sliced. But in recent years, Ichiran in Japan has also cut back on their Chashu portions due to inflation. Almost everything worked the same, except there is no plumbed water dispenser in your booth, and the checkout machines are Square payments iPads. People also take forever to order, and spend too much time in their stalls, contributing to slow turnover. Is it an authentic Ichiran experience? Kind of. It’s more expensive, the lineup is long, and the food is less good Visiting Ichiran in NYC feels a bit like nostalgia - it was better in my memory.
Stanley A — Google review
As a loyal customer for years, Ichiran remains my gold standard for ramen. It consistently delivers exactly what you hope for. I love it allowing you to fine-tune every element of your ramen, from the texture of the noodles to the richness of the broth. I always opt for normal saltiness, normal oil, with extra garlic, extra scallion, and 2x spicy for that perfect, fiery kick and extra soft noodle (Right in the picture) My husband, on the other hand, prefers no oil, light salt,1/4 spicy and hard noodle. If you appreciate a deeply flavorful broth and the ability to personalize your meal down to the smallest detail, Ichiran is a must-try. The quality never wavers.

Pye Boat Noodle is a casual eatery that offers traditional Thai dishes served over noodles or rice, with the option to dine on a patio. The name "pye" in Thai refers to the paddles used to guide small wooden boats transporting noodle soup along Bangkok's canals. The restaurant's menu features authentic Thai street food, including sukhothai soup and Tom Yum Bolarn noodle.
Pye Boat is a beloved favorite in Astoria. They are a fun hawker take on Thai food, so their menu is a bit off the beaten path of what you would find at most Thai restaurants. Hawker-style has a market stall, street food feel and their interior is decorated to match the vibe too. They specialize in boat noodles bowls in aromatic broths, topped with meat and veggies. I can only speak on behalf of the vegetarian items there and there is a decent selection for vegetarians, lots of wok noodles and noodle soups that can be made with tofu, seitan, and veggies. There are a handful of vegetarian appetizers too. However, I will say their vegetarian options, while hearty, may not have as strong of a flavor pallet as the meat items—I’d recommend this place more for meat eaters. I’m a big fan of their wok noodles and papaya salad! Definitely give it a try if you’re in Astoria!

The food here was great! But they took a long time to come out (15-20m for appetizers and >30m for entree) which was unexpected from a casual eatery like this, where there’s no a/c and no one comes to refill your water. I liked the food but I don’t think I can wait that long for quick bites.

Spicy Moon East Village is a charming restaurant with a warm ambiance that offers an array of plant-based Chinese Szechuan dishes. Since its debut in 2019, it has been delighting diners with a menu featuring mala-spiced dry pot, mapo tofu, dandan noodles, and wontons in scarlet chili oil. The use of Szechuan peppercorn is prominent throughout the menu, providing tingling and numbing sensations along with other bold and flavorful elements.
This location is super small, but so great if you get a spot. I love the decor and the chairs were so comfortable. The crabless Rangoon was my favorite dish. I also loved the huge variety of veggies in my scallion style mixed vegetable with bean curd.

This place is so good — I’m loving the vibe! The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Dan Dan noodles with vegan beef (and yes, the name is Spicy Moon, so brace yourself for a little heat — in the best way). I paired it with their crisp Dragon Lager, but you can also go for the complimentary water they provide. They have two charming outdoor seating areas, which are perfect for enjoying gorgeous East Village weather. But honestly, the interior is so warm and inviting, you might want to eat inside just to soak up the decor. The service was top-notch — the young gentleman who helped me was attentive, on point, and incredibly accommodating. If you’re in the Lower East Side (or anywhere nearby) and craving flavorful vegan Chinese–Thai–Asian fusion that’s actually good for you, Spicy Moon is a must-visit.

We Love Spicy Moon! The East Village location staff were super friendly and the food was great. The wontons in chili oil were our favorite this time, but literally every plate we had was good - you can’t go wrong. All vegan but this is a place that omnivores and everyone will love! This location is a bit small (compared to Bowery location), but still nice vibes. Prices are great as well - this will always be in our regular rotation 🌶️🌙
Alexa W — Google review
Spicy Moon East Village nails bold, vibrant Szechuan flavors in a way that’s both craveable and completely plant-based. We started with the spring rolls and veggie dumplings — both perfectly crisp and packed with fresh, savory fillings. The dumplings especially shine in that rich chili oil, with just enough heat to keep you reaching for more. The Brussels sprouts were a knockout: crispy-edged, deeply caramelized, and slicked with a tangy, spicy glaze that could convert any skeptic. But the showstopper? The Kung Pao-style dish — smoky, spicy, slightly sweet, with that signature Szechuan numbing tingle. Every bite layered with texture and flavor. This place doesn’t just “do” vegan Szechuan — it elevates it. Easily a go-to spot when you want to light up your taste buds.

Welcome to Planta Queen, the vibrant new addition to New York's culinary scene that celebrates the beauty and power of plant-based dining. This exciting venue, part of the renowned PLANTA restaurant group, offers a delightful array of Asian-inspired dishes divided into five enticing categories: sushi, chilled & raw options, dumplings, small plates, and wok & noodles. Signature highlights include innovative creations like watermelon ahi nigiri and refreshing coconut ceviche.
Decided to try this place because the menu looked so good, and as a non vegan I can say the food was very tasty. I’m impressed how the combination of the food and flavors worked well together. The only con was that the service was a little slow and we had to wave down our waiter a couple times. Otherwise, everything was great.
Yuliana M — Google review
I am vegan and went to this restaurant just last night with my husband and two other friends. Maybe I had too high of expectations but I wasn’t too impressed with their food (our waiter was wonderful but my cocktail was “forgotten”). The decor seemed nice in a dimly lit and large place which was almost full on a Tuesday at 6:30pm. The noise level was so high my ears hurt, and I had to scream to have conversations with our friends. Maybe this is the way many New York City restaurants are (I am visiting). So the food. I personally had a hard time finding things that were either not deep-fried or smothered in spicy mayonnaise. I loved the Nigiri eel sushi made of grilled eggplant topped with sweet eel sauce. I also liked my virgin cocktail. The Caesar salad was too salty which was too bad (it could have been great with less salty dressing or just less dressing). Banana Caramel Pie was a bit disappointing as the cake which was the base of the pie was dry and hard in texture. It is great to see a vegan restaurant do well but when I pay $150 for two of us I expect better food. Maybe that’s what New York restaurants charge nowadays.
Eri O — Google review
A good spot for vegan sushi in NYC, especially if you want to lean towards less processed fish alternatives and more fruit/vegetable swap-ins. The host staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had luggage with us as this was our last stop before the airport, and they were able to set it aside in a separate area for us and accommodate our booking earlier than the original time. Food-wise we went for: -Unagi Eggplant Nigiri -Bang Bang Broccoli -Spicy Tuna Maki Roll -Volcano Maki Roll -Banana Pudding All of them were tasty, although we found the portions to be a little small for the prices paid. The wait staff seemed a bit stretched – the restaurant staff refill your glass if you opt for tap water rather than provide you with your own filled bottle to pour yourself, and we found ourselves waiting for long periods between emptying the glass and receiving a refill. There were also much longer periods than we had gotten used to in NYC between finishing and being able to request dessert or the bill, and when I requested a paper receipt this appeared to have been forgotten and I had to make a second request for it to be fulfilled. The wait staff were clearly very friendly and knowledgeable, so I imagine they may have had fewer staff than usual for the demand at that time and as such were a bit run off their feet and unable to visit tables as much as they would like. Still, we can only review the experience we had, not one we imagine you would have – for all we know this could be a regular occurrence. All in all, our visit was still a positive experience and we would recommend it if you're craving sushi but want to err on the side of a less processed meal.

Full review: Torched and pressed- by far my favorite 10/10, balanced and super good Spicy tuna- very good, a bit fishy 8.5/10 Bang bang brocolli- amazingly crispy but I didnt like the sauce at all(gingery and I’m not a big ginger fan)- 7/10 Udon- this surpised me. I could smell that it was a coconut based cream sauce immediatly which I usually don’t like but it was actually really nice. There was some random bites which tasted of ginger which didn’t mesh well. 8/10 Korean baos- good texture of fried mushrooms but dont like kimchi much 7/10 The two of us were still hungry after this so ordered more. Portobello nigiri- didn’t like this, bland and subtlety not good 4/10 Spicy crab hand roll- meh 5.5/10 Overall this place was really fun to try a bunch of different flavors/textures. DO NOT sit downstairs after 7. It was insanely dark and I could barely see my food. Made it much less satisfying/enjoyable. Pro is the food comes out super fast. But overall just good, not great. Which for the price it should be.

Every bite was amazing. The drinks are delicious too. My friend suggested this place to me because I wanted to try and get away from meat. The watermelon sushi was SO good! And the poke bowl was my friends but he let me try it! Awesome! I’d come back to NYC just for this place!

Nestled in the heart of Bensonhurst, Hand Pull Noodle & Dumplings House is a charmingly unpretentious eatery that specializes in hand-pulled noodle soups and delightful dumplings. Here, you can witness the artistry of noodle-making as skilled chefs mix and stretch dough right before your eyes. The menu boasts an array of options featuring fresh ingredients like spare ribs, five-spice pork, head-on shrimp, and vibrant baby bok choy served in rich beef-based broth.
Fantastic place to grab a meal. Fresh ingredients, good sized portions, and price is very affordable. I usually get my food to go and eat back home. (The place is small and there are only a few tables.) I usually get the #23 (handpulled noodles w/braised pork slices), #3 (combo), #11 (pork chops), scallion pancake, or fried dumplings.

I caught a cold, so I was looking for some comforting chicken soup. Google suggested this noodle restaurant. The commercial pictures looked interesting, so I decided to give it a try. The actual dish? Not that great. It was served in a thin plastic tub with plastic utensils. The dish was mostly noodles with a bit of soup. I ordered rice noodles, but they didn’t look like rice noodles to me. The soup was too salty, and on top were some dry, overcooked slices of chicken breast. I left most of it there. Definitely not worth $16.

Hole in wall! Great when you need a noodle fix in this area. Can’t go wrong with the house special here. Friendly staff! Seating is pretty limited but people who order to eat in in come and go quickly.

The food here is extremely fresh, with their fresh noodles made straight in the restaurant all having unique shapes. Additionally the broth and noodles here are EXTREMELY flavorful. This place is great with me coming here since I was a kid.

I got the scallion pancake and hand pulled fried noodles with mixed vegetables. Both were served hot from the kitchen. The noodle portion was huge for the price and I happily took home leftovers. There is not a lot of seating so you might not be able to eat in depending on how busy it is. If you do eat in though you'll be able to top your noodles with chili sauce.

This restaurant stands out from others. The size is small but the comfort level is high. The plate is filled, the cooking shows care, and taste delivers. The team delivers exceptional service! This spot deserves your immediate attention.

I ordered hand pull noodle beef soup and bbq chicken wings here for take out. The noodles were packed separately and when I opened the box, they all were just one huge mess - stuck together. Moreover, the noodles were undercooked. The soup tasted okay but there were some suspicious pieces of “beef” in there. Chicken wings were mediocre. I will not order here again. Very disappointed.

I got the beef tail soup through Uber eats! It was HORRIBLE! There was hardly anything other than broth. No meat just thinly sliced bone scraps, so disappointing

If you're in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, you must try the renowned Western Yunnan Crossing Bridge Noodle. This delightful dish is served in a sizzling stone bowl filled with hot broth and an array of fresh ingredients like wood-ear mushrooms, quail eggs, and raw beef that are added one by one before the noodles make their entrance. The experience is not just about taste; it's also about the unique presentation that makes each meal feel special.
This is another hole in wall place that we found and thought was a gem. Everything was so good. Basically a hot bowl of noodles soup. They bring everything out in their own little bowl and then you put them all in the boiling soup. You can also ask them to cook everything before bringing it out. We ordered their frice rice which we very nice too. Rice was very fresh and has a nice aroma. The place is small but clean. Better get there early or plan to wait. You go up to order and they will bring to you but tip is not required.

Staff are very friendly, kind and quick. The food and broth is very flavorful and unique! It's many little dishes that accompany the noodle is refreshing and provides such a flavorful contrast when mixed all together. It's inexpensive and it's very heartwarming, especially during the cold winter season. You can also add more little side dishes to infuse your broth to enhance its savoriness! Overall, a really nice meal and I highly recommend it, at least the original broth flavor! Thank you for reading and good luck! (:

Came here at lunch on a Saturday. It was busy but didn't have to wait long. We ordered the Crossing Bridge Noodles, Spicy Chitterlings Rice Noodles, Hmong's style beef, and the Black fungus. The noodles were good, they bring the ingredients first, then a boiling bowl of broth, and put everything in for u. Overall, it was decent although the broth could be more flavorful. Didn't care for the side dishes much thought they were too sweet. Price wise, it was a bargain.

One of the oldest and consistently good Thai restaurants in Sunnyside. It is not that close to Queens boulevard which prevents it for being overcrowded. Everything from the appetizers to main courses has always been super delicious.

Thai American fusion restaurant. It is hard to get exactly what we want when you don't have so much of choices. We tried to get some food that is not a mainline in the menu. They also ran out of sour pork sausage, so we got Thai sweet sausage fried rice instead. Beef ND soup is water-down as we thought. We also have chive pancake, steamed Thai dumpling and shrimp roll. All those appetizers, my friend order because she wasn't satisfied with the noodles. Waitress seemed to have lack of Thai food knowledge. In my opinion, they will survive in the area if they don't have more competition. Non- Thai will be ok with the food but in the future when the city expand, it needs to be improved in the order to remain open.

Spicy Village is a Chinese cafe located in New York City's Chinatown, offering authentic Henan fare. The restaurant is known for its hand-pulled noodles, pork pancakes, and spicy chicken dishes. Established in 2010 as Henan Feng Wei, Spicy Village has gained popularity for serving the food of the owners' homeland. The Henan province's culinary heritage, with its balance of all five tastes and renowned fried and stewed noodles, is showcased at this cozy eatery.
Dry black bean with pork noodles tasted so much better with chilli oil, the beef noodle soups tasted too kelpy at first but it grew on me and it feels good for your soul and health. Pork pancake was my favourite. Cash only js annoying but there is an ATM inside a little grocery store around the corner.

I finally tried Spicy Village after spending loads of time in the area. I've been thinking about it ever since. The food lives up to the name - very well spiced. I got the vegetarian dry noodle (fully vegan), and I was blown away, and the portions are huge! You will wait a long time for your food if you order takeout at peak times, but it is worth it.

A bustling Chinatown gem that instantly transported me back to China with its street side and lively energy. The Spicy Lamb Hui Mei featured wide, chewy noodles coated in a fragrant, spicy sauce that was satisfying and comforting. Not necessarily a spot I’d rush back to, but definitely worth trying for an authentic, no-frills noodle experience.

Really enjoyed their hand pulled noodles! The noodles had a great texture and coated with delicious sauce. The lamb was well seasoned and the bok choy was cooked well. The cilantro added a hint of freshness and the chili oil was flavorful. Would recommend!

Easily my favorite vegan chinese place in new york city. I travel there several times abl year for work and order from different vegan chinese places every time. Their general tsos and kung pao is perfectly crispy and the dumplings are served in this spicy chili oil that is incredible. They keep the sauce separate from the veggies so they dont soggy in transit. I ordered delivery and have never been to the location in person, so I can't comment on service or atmosphere, but I look forward to ordering from them again next time I'm in new york.

Get the spice scallion sauce pork dumplings!! 10/10. Ordered these as a starter and then the lamb hui mei and the beef brisket hui mei for our mains. Decent noodle dishes but nothing to write home about. The diners seated beside us ordered the big plate chicken, and I will definitely be trying this next time. Small place with very little seating, but we were able to get a spot right away. Popular spot for all types of people.

Coletta is an intimate Italian restaurant known for its vegan and kosher menu. The Italian-American menu offers a variety of dishes, including starters like garlic knots, pastas such as house ravioli, pizzas, entrees like Chickn Parmigiana and Chickn Spiedini, salads, and desserts like Sicilian Olive Cake. The restaurant also caters to gluten-free diners with labeled options. Visitors praise the beautiful ambiance and attentive wait staff.
Dining at Coletta was an extraordinary experience. From the moment we arrived, Erick, our server, welcomed us with genuine warmth and gracious hospitality. He thoughtfully introduced us to Russell, the manager, who ensured we received exceptional service—not only at Coletta but also during our visit to Le Basque in New York City. In a city known for its world-class cuisine, Coletta delivered an experience that truly rivals a Michelin five-star restaurant. Their plant-based menu is a masterclass in flavor, elegance, and creativity. Each dish was beautifully crafted and deeply satisfying. A special thank you to the chef, whose culinary artistry transforms plants into dishes that are as visually stunning as they are delicious—true edible art that celebrates the best of vegan cuisine. Gratitude to Erick and Russell for making our evenings so memorable. We’ll definitely be returning! 🌱✨

The happiest girl in the world right now. The fillet steak was beyond AMAZING, and the campanelle was bursting with flavor. The dessert left me on cloud nine, and the Cabernet wine… chef’s kiss. Ambiance? A perfect 10/10. A very special thank you to Audrey for squeezing us in without a reservation — she was incredible! And our server, Lucy, was amazing — super knowledgeable, gave the best suggestions, and she really matched the ambiance (such a GEM). Neil was also wonderful big sweetheart! I give this establishment a solid 20 out of 10. Hands down, one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining at.

I have been coming here for 4 years. That’s the only place where I actually eat pizza . If you like mushrooms you are losing a lot not ordering truffle mushroom pizza . That’s must try here. I have been coming back here just to savor this dish. I introduced my mom to that place and now when she is visiting me we go to Coletta multiple times. She doesn’t want to go back to her homeland without eating it. We order pizza gluten free and the crust is delicious and even crispier than the regular one. Cesar salad is another good healthy option . I always order dressing on the side to put as much as I need myself. Meatballs are good to order as well as crispy calamari. The new manager is doing a great job. I would like Chef Guy notices that. All stuff is accommodating.

A fully vegan Italian restaurant- hell yes! I miss eating Italian food so much when I found this vegan restaurant I was so excited. The waitress Maria was very knowledgeable about the menu and provided great recommendations to try. I tried everything I posted and it was all a 10's across the board. Absolutely delicious, I will be dreaming about this restaurant. I was so amazed at how the Salmon tasted like the real thing but it was vegan, mind blown. It was very intimate but a great experience with my family. I honestly can't pick a favorite dish because it was all just so delicious. This was also my first time trying Panna Cotta and it was so refreshing. I honestly cannot wait to go back and try more dishes. I wish this restaurant was in Houston!!

Dinner at Coletta was one of the highlights of our trip. I will definitely come back to this restaurant every time I visit New York! The plant-based calamari was delicious and so similar to my memories of real calamari...unbelievable. The ravioli and salad were excellent. The pizza was up there with the best plant-based pizzas I've ever had. The tiramisu probably takes the crown for best vegan tiramisu. Service was great as well. My wife wants to go back to NYC already and I think it's for Coletta! Update: 2nd visit just as good as the first. Can't wait for the third! The salmon was remarkable...can't believe how close to the real thing!

I really enjoyed my dinner experience at Coletta Food: we got a few different things to try. My favorite was their version of calamari and risotto. The calamari was crispy and the texture of the mushrooms inside was cooked perfectly. The outside of the calamari was perfectly crispy and not oily. The risotto was creamy and flavorful. Service: Everyone was very friendly and helped by answering all our questions. They also checked in on us often to ensure we had everything we needed. Ambiance: I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. It’s cozy and intimate. The seats are comfortable and I really like the theme of modern elegance. The food came out in dishes to enhance the look. Insta: @TheShahLALand

Okiboru House of Tsukemen, located in the Lower East Side, is a popular spot for delicious ramen and tsukemen. Despite the wait to get in, once inside, you'll feel like an insider privy to exclusive ramen secrets. The small restaurant can get crowded quickly, so be prepared for limited space. There's no physical menu; instead, you scan a QR code to view the options. The noodles come with broth on the side, offering a unique twist.
Like guyssss omgggg!!! This ramen is to die The best ramen I had a pleasure of trying in my life and oh girl I had me a ramen. Okiboru House of Tsukemen had amazing chewy noodles, pork belly that melts in your mouth and oh wow the broth! THE BROTH! Is just full of flavor and has an interesting combination of fish and chicken flavor. The service is excellent! The two people who were serving us did with a smile and with a lot of kindness.

First time trying tsukemen and it was a great experience. The waiter was kind enough to explain to me how to proceed (dip the noodles on the broth), and it was very scrumptious! The place is small and packed, ordering through QR code and paying online is super convenient
Olga E — Google review
This spot serves tsukemen (dipping noodles) and it looks like they make their own noodles tasty🍜 The chashu didn’t have much flavor and had a bit of a burnt taste, but the broth with fish powder was really good. It’s more of a Japanese-style ramen shop, so don’t expect full table service or a place to chill for long. You order through a QR code and eat quickly. Not ideal if you want to relax, but if you’re here for good ramen, it totally delivers.
Elizabeth W — Google review
One of the best tsukemen spots in the city. The noodles are thick, chewy, and clearly handmade, while the dipping broth is rich, savory, and perfectly concentrated, comfort in every bite. The squeeze of lime adds a bright, surprising touch that balances the flavor beautifully. The space is small and minimalist, more focused on the food than atmosphere, but service is quick and efficient. It’s best for solo diners or a quiet meal for two. If you love ramen and haven’t tried tsukemen yet, start here, Okiboru sets the bar high!
Mariya P — Google review
arrived at 12pm on a weekend and was seated immediately place filled around 12:15 ordered classic tsukemen plus egg pros: noodle was perfect texture!! service was quick. the egg goes well with the broth. people say the place is cramped but didn’t feel that way, it’s ur typical noodle counter style place cons: the pork chashu was unusually salty. the dipping broth was ok but also way too salty. i had to be careful just to dip just a tiny bit….
Shirley — Google review
My favorite dipping ramen! Don’t forget to ask for soup-wari if you want to drink your broth. Their Tontori soup ramen is lesser known, but slaps just as hard. It’s a chicken / pork tonkotsu alternative that feels lighter and has a wonderful blend of umami flavors. Menma is also only a respectful additional $0.50, which I would recommend.
William Y — Google review
A slice of Japan in LES! Although this place is known for their tsukemen, every menu item is equally good. In fact, my favorites here were the tonkotsu ramen and pork buns. The chashu pork (which is in most of the dishes) is expertly cooked: tender, well marinated, and fatty. I also appreciate that they don't skimp out on the portions, like most other Japanese spots in NYC do. The staff is also super attentive, fast, and kind. For more food reviews, check out chloenicholle on IG!

Felt like we were back in Kyoto. The staff were super kind and accommodating. We were a bit surprised that the tsukemen broth was chicken/fish based and not pork/fish but it was amazing. Will definitely come back (soon). We came on a Sunday around 12:30 and there was no wait (the place was 90% full), the service is fast so even if there’s a line you don’t need to wait much.

Xi'an Famous Foods 西安名吃 is a local chain that serves up authentic Xi'an-style Chinese cuisine, with a focus on noodles, soups, and sandwiches. What started as a small stand in Flushing's Golden Shopping Mall has now expanded to 13 locations across the city, making it more accessible to those craving the bold flavors of China's northwest region.
Still one of my favorites years later. The N4 stewed pork noodle and chewy with tender pork and a great chili crisp. The pork burger is delicious, and the spicy and sour pork dumplings are just so nice and tart. It wouldn't be a XFF if there weren't lots of noticed and rules taped up to the walls and windows. One of my top foods in NYC. Bring one to LA!

I found the dishes at Xian to be decent, but not worth the hype. I thought the flavors of the cumin lamb noodles were too mild and not very pleasant. Nothing else about the other dishes or my experience stood out for me to visit again.
Hailey S — Google review
ordered the regular spicy and tingly beef pulled noodles. The meat was delicious, and the noodles were a little chewy, very long, and thick. If you can’t handle spice, I’d recommend getting mild because the regular is quite spicy. Overall, it was a very good meal. I’d give it an 8!
Ramata D — Google review
Came here because I was nostalgic for cumin lamb. The lamb did not disappoint; it was flavorful. We got the hand-ripped noodles, lamb dumplings, and the lamb burger. I haven't had too many hand pulled noodles, but it was alright to me. The dough seemed a bit thick and a bit dry to my liking. The lamb burger was a bit dry too. Had to dip it in the chili oil from the dumplings. The dumplings are the best thing we tried! The dough was thin, the filling was juicy and flavorful, and the chili oil for the dumplings was bomb! We were sipping on that chili oil after the dumplings were gone! It is a sit down place, but more like stools at a counter against the wall. There are some more seating with tables in the back, but seems to be missing some chairs. It gets packed, so we were nervous we couldn't get a seat, but luckily got two seats. Beware of the homemade sodas (did not get a picture of that). It tastes good, but they've gone flat when we tried them. Would have been nice if they stayed carbonated. I would totally come back again for the dumplings.
Valery C — Google review
This is my favorite restaurant in New York, period. Always love the hand pulled noodles, got the N4 with the stewed pork and it was fantastic. Chewy and firm, and always picks up the sauce for maximum flavor. Also a huge fan of the flat bread sandwiches. The cumin lamb is super flavorful, but the stewed pork is my favorite. Simple, unpretentious, it is such a comfort and filling item. I'll be back for sure!

The liang pi tastes quite good. I also appreciate their chili oil. The only thing is that they didn’t put fried peanuts in the liang pi - this would make the dish tastes MUCH more authentic and better!!! Please consider making that an add-on option!!!

Where I grew up — Hangzhou — is notorious for bland food in China. However, if this place opened in Hangzhou, it would probably shut down within a week. So plain. So weird. So bad. Not decent. Not authentic. Maybe it works for people who have never been to China. I won’t be going again. ———— (Edit: Just saw the owner’s response months later…) This restaurant is quite well-known — not every Chinese-owned business manages to expand into a multi-location chain. In fact, before I even moved to NYC, I was genuinely excited to try it. It had been called a “pride of the Chinese community,” and I had seen it featured in countless magazines. So I really gave it a fair shot — not just once, but five times — hoping to finally understand what made it so special. Unfortunately, the food was consistently plain. I kept giving it chances, and even when I took it home, it was because I wanted to improve the flavor myself — not to insult the restaurant. What shocked me most wasn’t the food — it was the owner’s response to honest feedback. My original review was short — just a small note for myself, a reminder not to give this place another try. Instead of addressing the issue, the owner launched into a sarcastic attack on my display name and more. I also noticed that other reviewers with Chinese last names received similarly aggressive replies. As another reviewer, Yassy Huang, put it simply: “It doesn’t taste good 😅😅.” I couldn’t agree more. It’s not personal — just honest. A restaurant that targets customers who speak up — instead of fixing the problem — is ultimately setting itself up to fail. Being one of the few Xi’an noodle shops in NYC doesn’t make you immune to basic standards. Real quality doesn’t panic under criticism. And real respect starts with the way you treat your own community.

Loved being able to go a fully vegan restaurant! My friend and I got two pastas as well as the pizza and all was so well made. The pizza crust was the mainly highlight it was so well made and perfectly crisp and chewy. Also absolutely loved the date cake The service started really great then at some point in the evening it all changed and took a while to get the servers to the table to move through the dinner. Could be that they just recently opened the location.

I visited Soda Club with my mom during our trip to New York, and we absolutely loved it. The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish — the perfect spot to relax, enjoy a great meal, and have meaningful conversations. The food is 100% vegan and absolutely delicious. Every dish we tried was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of care and creativity goes into the menu. A special shout-out to Manuel, our host, who was incredibly kind and patient. He gave us the best recommendations and made us feel so welcomed and comfortable throughout our time there. The staff went above and beyond to make the evening feel special, which is a rare find nowadays. The service was just…well, outstanding. The vegan ricotta appetizer with bread and fresh tomatoes was my favorite of the couple we tried. As for the pasta, for me I really enjoyed the ravioli. The pasta is freshly made and you can definitely tell. I would definitely go back and would recommend anyone wanting a good meal with great service to enjoy their evening at Soda Club!

Honestly an incredible meal. Madison was incredibly helpful in picking out a wonderful meal. My friend was shocked when I told her it was a vegan restaurant. Our minds were collectively blown away by the food. Definitely check it out if you have doubts vegan food can be good.

A perfect vegan Italian meal! I’ve dined at Soda Club on a few occasions and it seems to just get better and better. Their pizzas have a variety of toppings making it a delicious, unique experience and their pastas are very good as well. The gigli is popular but the bigoli is much better in my opinion. It has a resemblance of fettuccine Alfredo with the thick noodles and creamy, indulgent sauce. Now for the pizza - I really enjoyed the carbonara pizza (without the apples). The base is a white sauce and the fried artichokes were a pleasant surprise. Overall would definitely order again. They also had a pesto pizza a few weeks ago that was actual perfection - hope they bring it back in the future. And if there is anything that you do, you MUST order the date dessert. It consists of a warm date cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on a bed of crumbs/crust. Trust me you need it. The staff is always friendly and outgoing. The small details like acknowledging return guests really mean a lot. Will be returning very soon!

Food is scrumptious, high quality, and FRESH!! I tried the raviolis, pizza, the focaccia which was delectableeeee. Don’t even get me started on this damn tiramisu. The best tiramisu i’ve ever had in my life… seriously i’ve been having vivid dreams of my soda club tiramisu experience. Express martini was 10/10, ambiance made for a perfect date night with my hubby. We loved it ! A bit pricey but it truly makes sense.

I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed. We had heard a lot of hype about Soda Club, and we were particularly inspired to go after being hugely impressed by their sister restaurant Third Kingdom. When it comes to Italian food, I feel like a restaurant has to come through either with big comforting portions (e.g. John’s of 12th Street), or some kind of innovation (e.g. Coletta). Soda Club didn’t really do either. We started with the focaccia and herbed ricotta appetizer, which was good but not memorable. A few skinny slices of toasted focaccia. In terms of pasta, I had my heart set on something with red sauce, so I was shocked to hear that only one pasta dish on the entire menu had tomato sauce! We got this one dish, the bucatini, which was good enough but underportioned. The other pasta dishes all sounded really rich and creamy or had too many fried components, so despite having come to Soda Club (a self-proclaimed pasta bar) expressly for pasta, we ended up getting a pizza as our other entree. We asked which of the three pizzas had tomato sauce, and we were informed that one of them did - the current special - so that’s the one we ordered. It came with vegan chorizo, mushrooms, and microgreens. It notably did not have tomato sauce. It was a weird but pretty tasty dish, and thank goodness it filled us up after the scanty little plate of pasta that was gone in four bites. Lastly, the service was pretty disappointing. We had to sit outside because they were so crowded even on a Thursday night. This would have been fine if they had checked on us a little more frequently; the hostess actually ended up being the one to check on us/refill our water/bring us the check etc. m All in all, we were underwhelmed and can only assume their popularity is largely due to their cute atmosphere and extensive wine/cocktail selection.
Lauren — Google review
Had dinner here last night and it was incredible! I had 0 clue it was a vegan restaurant and my friend refused to tell me until the end! Place is very cute and the bar is gorgeous! Incredible wine selection. Madison was our server and she was the best! She walked us through her favs and recommended the perfect plates for us! The ravioli might have been 1 of my top 5 pastas I've ever had! Do not skip out on the tiramisu ! The entire staff was lovely but again Madison was the star of the show! Really friendly and made us feel very comfortable ! Awesome atmosphere and the food is 11/10!

Soup restaurant
Yiwanmen is a cozy hole-in-the-wall noodle spot in Chinatown/Little Italy, known for its authentic and flavorful dishes. The menu includes options like spicy beef noodles and Chongqing red oil noodle soup, with the possibility to add extra noodles for a small fee. The place is popular among locals and visitors alike, offering great value for money. Despite its small size, the restaurant exudes a welcoming vibe with friendly service.
I've had Yiwanmen (literally means "one bowl of noodles" in Chinese) on my list for ages, but somehow, I'd always forget about it when I'm in the area. I finally made a quick visit there about a month ago when I had a jian bing craving and was in Chinatown. Jian bing is a really delicious thin pancake that usually has egg, sesame seeds, scallions, hoisin sauce, hot sauce, a crispy flat cruller, amongst other savory fillings. It was a popular street food in China, but I haven't found one that tasted like the ones I'd had in Shanghai while in NYC other than one spot in Flushing. Well, now I know I can come to Yiwanmen for my jianbing fix because theirs is made to order and definitely brought me back to my days eating street food in Shanghai! A few days ago, I came back and ordered takeout: I got the Chongqing noodles, the braised beef noodle soup, the cold sweet-sour lotus root slices, and the steamed pork chive dumplings. ALL OF IT WAS AMAZING. The Chongqing noodles reminded me of the spicy-savory noodles I enjoyed while in Chengdu, Sichuan (love the preserved vegetable bits as well as the crunchy peanuts); the braised beef noodles were toothy, the beef was super tender without too much fat, and the broth was slurp worthy with a deep star anise beefy flavor The lotus root pieces were sweet, sour, crunchy, and refreshing, while the pork-chive dumplings had a very unique texture on the inside and were also very tasty. And if that wasn't enough, the tall man who works the front and takes orders is really kind and sweet. He's soft spoken, speaks Mandarin and English, and he has a really caring demeanor. He's also happy to give suggestions if you are leaning one way or another. The food comes out relatively quickly (less than 10 min), and he bags everything so thoughtfully! The prices are also fairly cheap given inflation/post-pandemic prices, which is also shocking given the high quality. Notes regarding eating in: You order at the front, pay, and then they'll bring your food to you if you're eating in. They have several tables and a counter with stools by the window. There's no restroom, unfortunately.

Frankly the jian bing was disappointing. Too sweet and saucey, quite little pork floss, though the flour crepe itself was of nice texture. The roasted duck bao has good chewiness but the duck itself fell short. The beef noodle all the same - good presentation but tastes only ok.

Simple and no fuss small mom and pop shop with some seatings. The braised beef is so soft and the soup is not overly salted.

The hot and sour rice noodles (n4) were soooo goooood. Absolutely amazing flavor and a great value. This spot has some casual seating inside so can dine in/out. Excited to go back and try more.

TOP 10 FAVORITES 🥇🥇 $10.85 for #2, spicy beef noodles. Yiwanmen is a hole in the wall noodle spot. Literally translates into “1 bowl of noodle.” Add extra noodles for $2 more. Recommended if you are a famished athlete on a rampage. Officially nominating this for the best noodle shop in Chinatown/Little Italy 🇮🇹. Authentic & bursting with flavor & spices. 👍 January 2024: I’m a regular here now. The owner is a nice guy with good hospitality 🙏🏻 August 2024: As wonderful as it gets for noodles

Got the braised beef noodles, Beijing noodles with soybean, a fish fillet crepe, and a pork belly crepe. Crepes were excellent and portion sizes could satisfy a hungry person. The noodles were also good, but I regretted not getting the spicy braised beef noodles.

Good noodles and fast service. Order at the front desk then take a seat. I like that the noodles actually have that sichuan peppercorn numbing feeling instead of just regular spiciness.

Sri Lankan restaurant
Spicy Lanka is a cozy restaurant that offers a delightful atmosphere and warm hospitality. The place is beautifully decorated, reflecting the authentic love for Sri Lankan culture. The menu boasts a variety of dishes with flavorful spices, including fish cutlet and devilled options. Customers have praised the delicious food, such as fish rolls, deviled chicken, brinjal moju, and falooda. The attentive owners ensure outstanding service and even accommodated customers after hours.
I had never tried Sri Lankan food before, but I'm glad I discovered this restaurant on my way back from rehearsals. My host, Sherrill, was incredibly gracious, kind, and helpful. I ordered the cucumber salad, which was the best I've ever had. It was so fresh! For my main meal, I had the kingfish curry with vegetables and rice, and it was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be coming back! Update: I came back and was served by Sanjita this time and I had the mutton Biryani which had lovely spices, I also had the Watalappan dessert which is unassuming when you look at it but it packs a punch and lovely texture to it. A really fantastic restaurant.
Musa N — Google review
One of the most authentic Sri Lankan foods we have ever had from this restaurant. The food was so delicious and their customer service was on point. There were some items we wanted but weren't there, so the owner compensated for those items. The environment was great and it's a good place to hangout with friends and family. I would love to go there again!
Shany T — Google review
We’ve had Sri Lankan food before, but this place surpasses the rest. For appetizers we had the Lankan Crunch Rolls, Island Pockets & Fish Cutlets. They were so delicious. For our main courses we picked the Island Fried Rice with egg, the Kingfish Lamprais, the Spice Island Thali (one veggie & one with shrimp), the Beef Firecracker Bites, the Beef Kothu and the Chicken Biryani. The flavors & spices are nothing like we’ve ever tasted before. Such unique, mouth watering flavors that really capture the authenticity of Sri Lankan food. Our hostess was Sherrille who was very polite, gracious & delightful. Oh & we can’t forget dessert. We had the Watalappan which was incredibly decadent & delicious, probably our favorite. We also had the Kiri Pani which was a mix of tangy & sweet. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who’s looking to get a real taste of traditional, authentic Sri Lankan food.

Delicious food. Was our first time and we enjoyed everything. We had the vegetarian thali which came with a desert, payasam. Very professional and attentive server, Sherrille. We will be returning.

Wow what a great experience we had. It was pur first time trying Sri Lankan food. We started off ordering a bunch of drinks. Some imported from Sri Lanka like Elephant house Melon and ginger beer. We had the passion splash, nelli crush. Not only were they colorful and beautiful but each had a distinct taste and took us on a journey to prepare for out delicious meal. We ordered the shrimp lamprias in a banana leaf. 10 star. Devine and delicious. Rice with cashew curry, caramelized eggplant, fried fish cake and fried egg, plantains that had a hint of coconut and other things. We devoured this. Great dish for first time people. We ordered the vegetarian devolied firecracker. I loved the lotus root and eggplant. Nice coating and taste. I ordered this mid spicy sp I could try how thry may eat it. My friend cant eat spicy and this restaurant did a great job giving the exact spice adjustment you request. Crispy flavorful veggies. We ordered this pyramid looking dish called Kothu with chicken and string hoppers. What a hit. The dipping sauce was amazing. I had housemade hot paste to add. Now the desserts are a must. The Ceylon Falooda blew my mind. It was like across between an icecream float and bobba but unique and rosy. 10 star. The watalallan flan was tasty. The Semiya Payasam pudding was warm and comforting. Well be back to try all the other foods we didn't get to taste. Highly recommend. Sansi our waitress was kind and explained everything.

OMG never had Sri Lankan food before and I am soooo impressed with Spicy Lanka! First off, don’t let the name fool you, the spicy level can be adjust from mild to very spicy for just about every entree they serve. I had the Chicken Lamprais, which is described as “ Chicken curry, paired with fragrant rice and an assortment of flavorful accompaniments, seeni sambol, eggplant moju, cashew curry, and plantain curry, creates a dining experience that's both nuanced and indulgent. The banana leaf wrap imparts a distinctive aroma, encapsulating the history of the Portuguese settlement.” So many flavorful and unique tastes, and an incredible value at $16. No way I could finish it all. That said I did leave room for dessert! I had the Watalappan, which I would describe as a Sri Lankan flan. OMG again! So much creamier and tastier than many flans I’ve tried. Also, the restaurant is beautiful and the service impeccable. Loop in a stroll through nearby Forest Park and you have a great day in store for you!

Nestled in the heart of Brooklyn, South Slope Ramen is a cozy café that has quickly become a favorite among locals for its authentic Japanese noodle soups. With vibrant murals adorning the walls, this hidden gem offers a warm atmosphere complemented by friendly service. The menu features an array of ramen options, including vegetarian choices and unique dishes like Birria Ramen that blend Mexican flavors with traditional noodles.
strictly takeout for me but a godsend: the most reliable ramen spot in South Slope! The pork belly is always the perfect size and texture - the ramen has the right bite to it - the broth can be savored entirely on its own. I took the plunge and ordered birria ramen today- and it was absolutely delicious! The beef is so tender and flavorful- like a Mexican style brisket! I don’t care for raw onions in my ramen, but otherwise it was a roaring success, the soup was fantastic. Their wings are tasty too and the chahan (fried rice) is perfection - reminds me of the chahan I had growing up in Tokyo - just wish for a side of white pepper to make it the most nostalgic bite. such a good spot.
Sylvia R — Google review
Got chicken pai tan ramen, birria ramen, spicy pork buns and seaweed salad. All were delicious with great portions. I ordered an extra chicken ramen to have leftovers and when i pulled it out of the fridge the next day to reheat, i was so impressed by how gelatinous the broth was, which means it’s really well-made bone broth. Their soup is legit! So comforting and also healthy.
Anna N — Google review
Really good ramen that hits the spot. They are not sheisty with the broth like other ramen places. Hearty serving and I opted for extra charshu. Fried calamari appetizer was also delicious. Seating is tricky. Not very cozy restaurant. But if you’re looking for good ramen with a no frills vibe this is the place. Better for casual and eating alone. Not a date place as the atmosphere feels very bare bones… not in a minimal Japanese way but more in a cold cheap deli kind of way. But the ramen is 👍🏼👍🏼
LIEM — Google review
Ramen was great, as were the salmon tartare and kimchi. Service was friendly and fast. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the loud Spanish music 🎶 coming from the kitchen. Nothing against the music, but it didn’t really fit the concept of a ramen place. We’ll be back.

Ramen was fantastic (the veggie miso is STELLAR) but the people are even more wonderful. An all-star kitchen, we were never without water, and it was just a fun vibe for a casual sit-down meal. 1000/10, can't wait to come back and try more food!

Met friends here for dinner the other night and it was phenomenal! Tried something different and got their Birria Ramen and it did not disappoint. Great Mexican flavors combined with delicious ramen noodles. Service got a little slow towards the end due to a large influx of mobile orders but still worth the wait!

I had their signature ramen and their classic, friend Rice and Kate age (fried chicken). Food was delicious friend rice was very tasty, couldn't get enough of it. Now their ramen, their pork slices practically melt mouth (Homer Simpson drool), soup base it's so rich & creamy for their signature dish. Will Def be coming back here, especially with the chilly weather around the corner?

This hidden gem boasts an impressively clean dining space and offers a delightful array of authentic Sichuan dishes at wallet-friendly prices. Diners rave about their Beef Chow Fun, known for its fresh preparation and enticing aroma.
I have been coming to sweet yummy house for over 12 years now and it remains one of my favorite places, hands down. I’m a chef and Chinese, and have been eating around NYC for over 24 years. The dishes to get are: twice cooked pork, whole tilapia with bean paste (it’s a famous dish), pork with garlic sauce, three cup chicken, just to name a few! You won’t be disappointed!

. This small Sichuan restaurant is a hidden gem worth discovering. Pretty affordable with a genuine taste of Sichuan flavors, their menu never fails to surprise with impressive dishes that keep you coming back for more. One of the highlights is their incredible lunch special: a meal over rice with soup for only $7. Not only is it budget-friendly, but the taste is unexpectedly delightful, making it a perfect spot for a satisfying and affordable lunch. The restaurant truly embodies the spirit of great value for money. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Sichuan cuisine without breaking the bank!

No frills on decor just straight and simple Sichuan spiciness. Spicy Dried Fish-Fillet is our go to with Sour mustard bamboo shoot with fish slice soup (added more vinegar to our liking) And other Sichuan signatured dishes are very good. Yang Chow Fried rice is consistently aromatic and Beef Chow Fun is freshly fried Kway Teow. Thumbs up!!

The food is pretty good but the service is terrible. You can’t order ahead. They let you place the order and then wait 20 minutes to tell you that they canceled it because they’re too busy to take orders. I wasn’t even trying to get it delivered because that’s another nightmare. I placed the order for pickup. Why even accept orders in the first place? I’m done with this place. I’ll try one of the other 10 restaurants in this neighborhood.

It was a hearty dish but the flavor was just OK to me. It seemed spice was the main dimension. More rice would have been acceptable. Peanuts were just the needed contrast and the rose colored tea was much appreciated.

Not recommend this restaurant! Terrible service, waiting times is more than an hour for just 3 tables customers. Waitress is rude and will ask for more tips for her trash service. If u don’t want feel sick. Just don’t go. Not recommend and check your bank they will charge you extra money.

Ippudo NY, located in the East Village of New York City, is a popular Japanese eatery known for its delicious ramen dishes and pork buns. Despite being always packed, the rich and complex soup broths along with perfectly cooked noodles make it worth the wait. The specialty here is tonkotsu ramen, featuring silky pork bone broth with tender braised pork, mushrooms, scallions, and bamboo shoots.
I am a big fan of Ramen and even this was beyond my expectations. I had the best gyoza I can remember, and the Yuzu Shoyu had an amazingly flavorful broth. The atmosphere was excellent and the service was very good. I would return again, and recommend it to anyone for a love of Japanese food.

Absolutely loved the food! It was amazing all of it. We got some of bao buns i had the port and the veggie one and both was absolutely amazing! I have to highlight the veggie bao bun because it was a light crunch with the soft bun that was flavorflu and delicious that i honestly would go back to NY jusf for this bun. Sushi was delicious and so was the ramen and the peppers we got for an appetizer! Everything we ate was incredible. The atmosphere was a really incredible vibe and you got to watch them make the ramen too! Definitely would go back.

not bad, but not as impressive as I expected. The ramen had good flavor, but the broth felt a bit lighter than the original in Japan. The noodles were nice, though the portion felt small for the price. Service was friendly and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but overall, it didn’t quite capture that “wow” factor. Still, it’s a decent spot if you’re craving ramen in the city.

Top notch service and atmosphere. Had the karage, spicy gyoza and dragon tantan ramen. Wasn’t blown away by anything, but the ingredients were high quality and presentation was good. Would order a different bowl or ramen on my next visit.

What can I tell you…. One of my fav ramen places. Took my kids out for a meal… had a GREAT time. I got a special ramen that came in extra large. Apparently I was one of 2 ppl to order extra large in the past 2 - 3 months lol… I had no idea how big it was. It was frigggin enormous. I could not finish even with the help of my 16 yr old. Had to pack for home. But good lord was it tasty. The food was on point with broth rich with flavor and melty meats. Garlic toppings, spicy flakes and extra sauces galore. This meal was everything my boys and I needed at the end of a great day in the city.

Always love going to Ippudo! This was my first time going to this location and the vibes were great. Never a long wait and service was awesome. I came here this past Saturday and was disappointed. my husband and I have been here many times we and we think the chef changed as the food was different and tasted different. Ordered the karaage chicken and it used to come with a side dipping sauce and it came plain this time. we ordered the karaka spicy ramen and the pork has changed as it was basically a slice of pork and not their past thick, charred pork. we didn’t enjoy it. it was way too dark in there as well.

When walking into Ipudo I was greeted by the staff and with no wait was brung to my own table with a small cube having QR codes on all the sides. (I went to IPPUDO when it was happy hour) My order: Pork bun ($10) - the bun is really soft, the pork melted in my mouth, the lettuce has a nice crunch. The pork bun is a must try if you eat here!! SHIROMARU MOTOAJI ($20) - the noodles are good, broth tastes normal, the Bamboo shoots are a little bit tough but edible, and the chashu tasted like ham. If you really want a pork bun or want a cozy and relaxing place to hangout either with friends or by yourself, Ipudo is a good restaurant to be at. Preferably at happy hour if you want great food at a good price.

Pastrami Queen is a beloved New York spot known for its generous pastrami and smoked turkey sandwiches, as well as flavorful soups and sides. The tiny storefront on Manhattan's Upper East Side has been serving up these iconic sandwiches since 1998, after relocating from Queens. With a second location on the Upper West Side, Pastrami Queen continues to satisfy the city's craving for savory pastrami on rye.
I really wanted to try a typical pastrami sandwich, and I think I chose a great place. It's very small and modest, but it has a unique and authentic atmosphere. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I ordered the traditional sandwich with fries, and there were two of us. It was very tasty.
Melissa R — Google review
Pastrami Queen was great! The sandwiches were truly excellent — especially the roast beef, tongue, and brisket. The beef broth served as a dipping sauce was rich and flavorful. The coleslaw was fresh and perfectly balanced, and the local soda was just the right touch. The place was clean (even the restroom!), we found a table right away, got served quickly, and finished our meal without any delays. The check for three was a bit over $100 — definitely worth it for the quality and experience.

Pastrami Queen is absolutely amazing! Everyone who works there is so friendly, you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The pastrami sandwich is truly a hit: juicy, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. If you’re in New York and craving a real deli experience, this place is a must-visit!

Loved this pastrami. My top pastrami place along with Katz. We had the pastrami sandwich with noodle soup. Soup was okay but sandwich was phenomenal. I like that they don't add sauce and you do it yourself to suit your taste. We had to wait a little for the table but worth it. Service is fast as well and efficient. They have a decent restroom. Prices are normal as per nyc standard. Would recommend ✨

Lets get right to it: $30 for the sandwich wasn’t worth it. Sandwich wasn’t horrible, a bit dry and had basic flavor but still edible (for $2 a bite of course) I just feel there shouldn’t be reviews or ravings of “known for huge sandwiches”. A huge sandwich should have me full or saving half for later. Im still hungry and Im definitely not a big back. I can appreciate great food for the price but this didn’t add up for me and I work all over the city to queens and brooklyn. Try it and form your own opinion of course but don’t go in with high expectations. I didn’t even have enough dressing to finish the other half of my sandwich. Ps dont let the photo fool you, sandwich is barely 2 lbs Id say

We decided to visit this famous spot known for its hot pastrami sandwich after seeing all the great reviews, and it turned out to be an excellent choice! The sandwich was absolutely scrumptious, full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. To make the experience even more special, we happened to run into Adam Sandler—he’s just as friendly and down-to-earth as you’d expect! The place itself is small and modest, very simple in decor, but don’t let that fool you. It’s all about the food here, and that pastrami sandwich is highly recommended!
María B — Google review
We went into this place on a whim since we’re big fans of pastrami sandwiches, but I think we would’ve been better off getting deli items and preparing them the way we wanted at home instead. The famous 8-9oz pastrami sandwich wasn’t bad, but for $25 (1/2lb of the same meat was $24 on its own), it was really just the meat on bread with a pickle, and left a bit to be desired for us - though we’ve had about a dozen pastrami sandwiches all over the country, so we may just have certain preferences. We also got the macaroni salad (delicious) and a spinach knish (HUGE and the flavor was good, but it wasn’t properly heated all the way through so we decided to just bring it home). The person who took our order was wonderful and very kind, though the sitting area to eat in was, as other reviewers said, quite small. He was very quick to make sure tables were clean and folks were seated though! All in all, I think I would’ve treated this like a deli instead of a lunch spot and just gotten all the items to go (and just the meat instead of the sandwich) so I could prepare them to my preferences at home. Worth a stop if you’re craving good pastrami and other deli specialities though!

Great NY Noodletown is a renowned Chinese restaurant in Chinatown, established in 1981. It has garnered praise from food critics for its authentic Cantonese cuisine and bustling atmosphere. The menu features salt-baked seafood, handmade noodles, soups, and roast meats served in a simple setting. This popular spot is known for its quick service and old-school appeal, making it a staple among Manhattan locals.
My Can't-Miss Chinatown Gem. I've been coming to this Chinatown restaurant for over 20 years, and it remains my favorite in New York. The broth is unparalleled, always the best. My essential order is their iconic soft shell crab and the wonton duck soup. If you're in the city, you absolutely have to try this place!

Delicious Cantonese food at very good prices. Everything I've order was very tasty and served in generous sizes. You have to try the duck and the noodles here. The place is small and doesn't have a certain vibe, just a place to sit and have great food, nothing pretencious. It feels authentic to me.
Analia C — Google review
The food here feels genuinely authentic, the kind of dishes you won’t always find in more Americanized Chinese restaurants. Some flavors might be subtler than what you’re used to, but that’s part of the experience. If you’re the kind of diner who enjoys trying traditional dishes and exploring beyond the usual favorites, this is a great place to do that. They have a loooooong menu, so I would strongly recommend looking at it in advance if you can so that you know what to order when you sit down. Service is fast and efficient. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect from a Chinatown restaurant: a little chaotic, but always interesting.

I had the wonton beef noodle soup at Great NW Noodlestown, and it blew me away. The food was so good that I forgot I was still in the United States. The noodles were perfectly chewy, the beef was super tender, and the wontons were packed with flavor. It was so good that I had to come back again. I wish I wish I had more time to try more of their menu. They are super busy, but still have time to take care of everyone. Good price. Great and friendly service. I recommend it.

Great food! very comforting and warm! I ordered the soy sauce chicken over rice, and shrimp dumplings and noodles in soup. Everything was delicious! The service was friendly, and you can tell it’s a local favorite with many regulars. I highly recommend and will definitely return to try more dishes!

A very busy restaurant. The meat was delicious and well cooked. The service was excellent but sit-down space was a bit limited. *cash only*

Won ton is the best, Duck was so good it doesn’t have any smells, Crispy pork the meat is amazing but the skins I thought it would be more crispy and it’s a bit salty, however everything was good. The place was clean and cash only..
Kate P — Google review
We visited the place to support the dying old China restaurant business. The overall experience was disappointing. First, the place was relatively modern and new compared to the other old establishments here. But the place was filled with unpleasant seafood odor. The food in general has its authenticity to it, but not well prepared. Shrimp shell in wontons or flour lump in wonton skins. The duck had not much meat and the chashu was way too fatty. Overall, it is an old and authentic Chinatown restaurant, but it was not a good one.

Miss Lily's 7A Cafe is a vibrant Caribbean eatery in the heart of New York City, offering island-inspired cocktails and a menu filled with Caribbean delicacies. The bright and colorful space exudes a beach-shack vibe, creating an inviting atmosphere for diners. The restaurant serves up classic dishes with a modern twist, such as Jamaican rancheros, jerk pork-belly hash, oxtail stew, fried chicken and waffles, and jerk chicken roti.
Miss Lily’s never misses! The vibes are always on point great music, fun atmosphere, and the food? Chef’s kiss. The jerk chicken and oxtail are packed with flavor, and the cocktails are just as amazing. Staff is friendly and the energy is unmatched. If you’re looking for a spot with authentic Caribbean flavor and a good time, Miss Lily’s is it. Highly recommend!

The BEST meal I had during my last visit to NY! I had the pleasure of dinning at this gem during restaurant week! Everything about it is a win! Let’s first start with the amazing service! Every staff was friendly and provided recommendable service from the moment we walked in! The ambiance : they have a corner spot so it’s perfect for those that like to enjoy a meal outside. The patio area is cute as is the indoor area. Think bright colors and carribean vibes! Now for the food- simply put, I was blown away! Admittedly I was not expecting much from this spot, but boy was I wrong!! I started with a watermelon salad and ordered the jerk chicken with veggies as my main meal! Now I know you are thinking what can be so special about a watermelon salad? It was just good! I appreciated every ingredient included ! It was very refreshing. My favorite part of the meal was the jerk chicken. Hands down the BEST jerk chicken I have ever had! It is tender and full of flavor !! When I say I finished this meal and left no crumbs it was that good!!! My sister had the jerk mushroom lettuce wraps. Her entree was the friend snapper and to end it off she had rum cake! I have to admit I enjoyed my meal more ! However her food was good too! I really enjoyed the aioli sauce that accompanied the fish entree. NOTE: for restaurant week you can opt to order off the restaurant week menu. It is 3 courses for $45! The only item I would not order again is the rum cake! It was not your traditional Caribbean rum cake. It is more of a white cake with coconut flavors. I could not taste the rum. While the cake was moist and generally a good cake/ it was just not what I expected for rum cake. To sum everything up, you MUST visit Ms. Lilly’s!! It’s 10’s across the board for me ! I will be stopping by the next time I am in the city? There is so much I want to try!

I’ve visited for brunch before, but I’d always wanted to experience dinner here—and during Restaurant Week, it did not disappoint. The thoughtfully designed décor and inviting ambiance set the perfect tone for our meal. We dined later in the evening, which gave the space a calm, relaxed energy, complemented by the smooth sounds of old-school reggae playing in the background. The cocktails were both strong and well-crafted, adding a nice touch to the evening. I wouldn’t recommend this spot for parties larger than four indoors, as the space is more intimate. The outdoor seating can accommodate groups up to six, though it did appear a bit snug. If you’re craving authentic Jamaican cuisine, this is a must-visit. According to my partner—who may be slightly biased as a proud Jamaican—it’s home to the best jerk chicken in all five boroughs.

Miss Lily’s is one of the most consistent Jamaican restaurants you’ll find in Manhattan. Everything on the menu is always available which is rare for a Jamaican spot! The food is very good, and you can tell they take pride in maintaining quality. The aki and saltfish leans more on the saltfish side they’re not too heavy on the aki but it’s still delicious and well-seasoned. The roti is always soft and fresh, which is a big plus. The decor really captures the vibe of a bar straight out of Jamaica colorful, lively, and full of energy. On weekends, there’s usually a live DJ playing great dancehall and reggae, adding to the island feel. Overall, Miss Lily’s delivers both in atmosphere and flavor a must-visit if you want a true taste of Jamaica in NYC. 🇯🇲🔥

Came for the restaurant week brunch. Excellent ambiance, DJ/music, food/drinks, and service! I enjoyed a three-course meal — Codfish fritters, Jamaican breakfast, and coconut cream rum cake. I drank a rum punch. Everything was flavorful! Definitely returning for brunch and other dining times.

I can’t say enough good things about the good eats, service by our waitress Bri, and atmosphere at Lily’s Restaurant. As a person that has to eat gluten free foods, I was pleasantly surprised to find several GF options on the menu! They were all YUMMY!!! They even have a chocolate GF dessert option that was rich and plantain based! I can’t wait to go back there. Great experience!

Food here is excellent. I had the oxtail and loved it. We didn’t realize they have a DJ for brunch so was not prepared for the noise lol. Their frozen drink machine also wasn’t fully operational yet, which was unfortunate because I wanted a frozen drink. Food is pricey, but this is a solid choice for Jamaican food.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful dining experience in New York, look no further than Wagamama. This casual eatery boasts a Japanese-inspired ambiance with long communal benches that invite you to share your meal with friends or make new ones. Known for its soul-satisfying bowls, Wagamama offers an array of healthy dishes like the Avant Gardn and Chicken Vietnamese Glass Noodle Salad, alongside tantalizing options such as Nama Spicy Tuna and Shus Shiok Chicken.
Visited with my girlfriends. The place is really nice. The drinks are super good. I forgot to take more pictures because I was so busy stuffing my face. The ramen was good but I definitely liked my friends better than the one I ordered. Will have to go back and order different spread next time. For apps we had Duck Hoisin Baos, Calamari, and Spicy Cauliflower Bites. I recommend all of them but careful with the cauliflower if you’re not good with spice, it definitely packs a punch.

I‘ve visited Wagamama in London several times and always had a great experience. When I came across this location in New York, I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, this visit was extremely disappointing, and I truly feel it was a WASTE of money. Upon entering, a female server guided me toward a bar seat. I politely asked if I could be seated by the window instead, as there were plenty of empty tables. She did not verbally respond and seemed quite dismissive. Shortly after, a male server, who was kind and attentive, brought me a glass of tap water. However, the table was sticky and appeared dirty, which was concerning. Regarding the food — I wondered how they are managing their ingredients and the recipe. Pork Belly Bao ($11): The pork was extremely dry, and the toppings were poorly prepared. Beef Brisket Tantanmen Ramen ($23): The bamboo shoots and the kimchi tasted spoiled, with a sourness beyond the normal flavor. The beef brisket was very dry, and the broth and egg were cold. For a dish that is meant to be served hot, the cold egg was particularly unpleasant. I shared my feedback with the male server, who listened carefully and was understanding. I appreciated his attitude, which at least prevented the experience from being entirely ruined. Nevertheless, I spent $40 (including tip) for a deeply unsatisfying meal.

This has become one of my favorite places to eat. The options are varied and the taste is out of this world. Specifically the soup broth is almost like it's some sort of addictive substance it's so good... I have found that they're very open to make some substitutions and mix things up a bit as far as what's on the menu, which is super helpful to me. The staff is always helpful and friendly and I would not hesitate to come here over and over again...

We had a fun and flavorful meal at Wagamama! Tried a variety of dishes — some hits, some misses. The pad Thai was okay, but definitely not like the one you’d get in Thailand — milder and less bold in flavor. The duck ramen, on the other hand, was rich, a bit fatty in the best way, and absolutely satisfying. The chicken salad was light and fresh, a good balance to the heartier dishes. Their famous bang bang cauliflower came with high expectations, but it was just okay — crispy but the sauce didn’t quite wow us. We also had two bao buns: one vegetarian and one with chicken. Both were great — soft, fluffy buns with flavorful fillings. The chicken one especially stood out, with tender meat and a nice crunchy contrast. Fresh-pressed juices were a highlight — especially the positive one, super refreshing and energizing. And the teas! One with lemongrass, the other with mint — both fragrant and calming. A nice spot for a casual meal with a twist, especially if you’re in the mood for variety and fresh drinks.

Delicious ramen on a surprisingly rainy and cold late summer day. Lunch special is a decent value. It’s a low key setting which for a late lunch was quiet and relaxed. Server was fast and very friendly. Only minor issue was it was a bit cold in the restaurant.

Had a fantastic lunch here. Loved my steak bulgogi. Nice amount of spice and great flavour. Full bar, lots of seating. Bathroom is upstairs but accessible via a lift.

Tried Wagamama for the first time in London 9 years ago and had a terrible experience. After almost a decade I decided to give it another try and it was ok. Had the seared tuna rice bowl and it was just ok. The tuna was fresh and nicely cooked but it was served over a mountain of rice and lettuce; nothing special. Service was good and the atmosphere was once again, just ok. Now dessert was a different story. The banana katsu was delicious. But dessert alone won’t bring me back.
José T — Google review
I used to love this place but my last few times dining in or ordering out, something has been off. My favorite meal there was the chicken katsu curry but it started to have a strong salt taste. I tried the ginger chicken udon today and it seemed bland. No one came to check to see how the meal was, and I had to wait for quite awhile to get the bill to pay. It was not busy in there, just service was slow. On my recent visit I spent $46 (including tax and tip) and it’s just not worth it. I hope things improve here because I really loved this restaurant.

Udon noodle restaurant
Sobaya is a traditional Japanese restaurant that specializes in serving homemade soba and udon noodles, along with other authentic Japanese dishes. The dining experience offers a taste of Japan with its clean and classic ambiance. The menu features various options for enjoying the buckwheat noodles, either with dipping sauce or in a flavorful broth. Early bird specials are available, offering an assortment of appetizers, tempura, sushi, and dessert alongside a bowl of noodles at a great value.
Holy crap! This place was so good. We stopped in on the way and we're just blown away by how authentic and tasty the food was. The chicken nanban was one of the best things I've ever eaten. And the rice bowls looked so good. Definitely stop by and try this! I also really loved their hot green tea
Saahil P — Google review
I’ve gone to Sobaya even before their Michelin credentials. I was recommended here by a family member and recently rediscovered it while doing some solo-exploring. I always grab their daily lunch combo as it gives you a bang for your buck. (If you’re a college student in the area, you’d be a fool not to give this place a chance.) Both hot and cold soba options are solid (my brother prefers cold, I like hot) and we adore their dons. There was one time I found something wrong with my order and they were so apologetic- immediately replacing my dish with a fresh one. I was happy to receive a fresh one (tempura deliciously hot out of the frier) and finished. That’s when they gave me a free green tea crème brûlée for my troubles. They didn’t have to do that, but they were so kind and profusely apologizing for the earlier blunder that I couldn’t help but tip well and applaud their service. My water was never empty! All the food was delicious. Not too salty, not too sweet, but just right. Love Sobaya and will definitely keep coming back :)
Joan V — Google review
As expected, the place was quite busy due to the hot weather. Watching a video of soba being made while waiting helped ease the boredom, and the food itself wasn’t bad. The tempura was crispy and tasty, but the dipping sauce for the soba was a bit too salty, and overall, the soba wasn’t particularly more flavorful compared to other soba places. Considering how busy the restaurant was, the staff seemed understaffed. The team was moving around busily, but things didn’t seem well-organized, making their efforts appear somewhat inefficient. The host also came across as unfriendly. Rather than repeatedly telling every guest, “Can I put my name on the waitlist?” and “Just wait here,” it would probably be less frustrating for everyone—and easier for the staff—if they used a proper waitlist system like many other restaurants do. It felt like a missed opportunity to improve both customer experience and staff workflow. One staff member was clearing tables, wiping surfaces, handling new napkins, chopsticks, and cups, and then using the same hand to scoop ice from the ice bin and serve drinks—all without taking a single moment to sanitize or wash their hands. It definitely didn’t feel hygienic or sanitary. When I first received my food, something felt off. I noticed that the dishes were placed upside down on the tray, so I had to rearrange them myself. I understand they might have been busy, but it really showed how unprofessional the service was.

Didn’t expect to enjoy this experience so much! Very kind service and super accommodating. I love the ambiance too! But mostly, the food. Truly the type of a meal you’d get in Japan. High quality soba and fish. Spotlight on lunch menus — great value!

Finally got around to coming here for the lunch special I chose the eel with cold soba noodles. Honestly, i would be happy eating a lunch set everyday. This was a perfectly balance meal and got me the right amount of full. The eel was fatty and super flavorful, the dipping sauce for the cold noodles was okay tasted like a variation of soy sauce. My friend got the hot soba which i would recommend eating quickly as the noodles become soggy. Lastly, the green tea was amazing!! Would deff come pack the place was busy around 1 and then at 2/3 became extremely empty.

The cod fish was absolutely outstanding. I finished every bite, even the soba broth. The space wasn’t too crowded and the servers was nice, which made for a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience.

All the dishes stayed true to the basics. Among the items we ordered, the Una-Ju Don was the best, while the tuna in the Tuna Avocado Don was slightly disappointing. I visited with my son in the early evening, and it was a comfortable meal without a crowded atmosphere.

Noodle Village is a popular lunch spot in Chinatown known for its Cantonese noodle dishes, soup dumplings, and congee. This decade-old restaurant on Mott Street offers a variety of traditional Chinese fare, including wonton soup, lo mein, and dumplings. The wonton noodle soup is particularly renowned for its flavorful broth and shrimp-filled wontons.
I’ve been a fan of Noodle Village since their previous location, and I’m so glad they’ve reopened in this new, bigger space—it looks great and feels even more comfortable. The food quality is just as amazing as before, maybe even better! This time I ordered the steamed crab and pork soup dumplings, Chinese broccoli and yau choi with oyster sauce, shrimp and pork wonton, deep-fried fish skin, and shrimp and pork dumplings. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The soup dumplings were juicy and full of rich crab flavor, and the wontons were soft and tasty. The deep-fried fish skin was super crispy—such a great snack to start with. Food came out really fast, and the service was friendly and efficient. If you love noodle soup, this is absolutely the place to go. I usually order their homemade fish ball and sliced fish noodle soup, but it was sold out this time (it’s that good!). If it’s available when you visit, definitely order it—you won’t regret it. Overall, this new Noodle Village location keeps everything I loved about the old one, with an even better space and the same amazing food. Highly recommend!

Reliable place for a standard Chinese meal. Nice clean, new spot with a relatively organized wait system. They give you a number and you wait until it's called. We were a party of 4 and waited ~ 15 min. What we got: - Wonton Noodle Soup: Standard, tasty, and a good value! - Mixed Meat Congee: Paired it with an additional piece of Fried Dough on the side. For me, the dough was a bit sweeter than and not as savory as I liked, however, it was still nice to pair with the meal. - Fried Mantou: Like a deep fried sweet dough - perfect as a traditional app or for after the meal to curb your sweet tooth. - Pork Soup Dumplings: Really enjoyed them here! The skin isn't thick at all, which was perfect. - Curry Fishballs: I'd SKIP - it was simply 2 small skewers of 6 fishballs for $11! We were expecting a bowl of fishballs with curry sauce, which is how it traditionally is. Overall, l'd return for another yummy, casual meal with great staff (English speaking) and a solid meal!

If you’re a tourist - definitely a good place to visit. If you want to do the “touristy” thing as a NY-rker- also an option. The food here is good but nothing to make you go “wow” about. It’s really very comparable to many other good dim sum/noodle places around the are. The restaurant is more of a touristy attraction due to its size and cleanliness, as well as the turnaround, which can be a downside - the food all came out at the same time so our noodle soup and fried rice (which were both yummy) came out with the crystal dumplings and an appetizer wontons and so were both cold, a turn off to be honest. The staff are very friendly and. Are able to communicate with customers (another reason for tourist attraction). Overall, not a bad experience and a yummy dinner.

Late review We visited here end of july First time trying the place for dinner, it was very packed and crowded so we were excited to find out how the food were. We had the beef brisket noodle and scallion pancake We were not happy with the service, they rush you to leave and pay. Our daughter was still Obviously eating and the server asked if we are ready to leave and ready to pay. Yes its crowded, but at least be respectful. The noodle soup was not all that, we were expecting for a better flavor but we were disappointed, the beef was super tough. My husband had the shirmp dumplings that wasnt pictured but he said it was ok. The scallion pancake was not flaky, it was thick and dense and i didnt see a trace of scallions. I wasnt able to check the bathroom as we were ready to leave due to the poor service. This is our first and last visit to this restaurant.

Tonchin New York is a branch of a Tokyo-based chain that offers tonkotsu ramen, griddled dishes, and fried chicken. This izakaya-inspired eatery has been around for four years and originally opened in Japan almost three decades ago. The menu features a blend of Japanese and U.S. flavors, with the classic Tokyo tonkotsu ramen being the standout dish.
Walked in on a Friday night, had a 25 min wait. The edamame was a taste of Asian and Western fusion, I was a little surprised at first but it was delicious. The salad, I really LOVED their homemade dressing (as someone who hates salad dressing). The curry chicken wings were nice, really juicy but a little bit too salty. The matcha lemonade was great, not overly sweet like other places, and the waiter pours the matcha on top in front of me. To be honest, I enjoyed everything else more than the ramen, ironic cuz it’s a ramen place). The ramen is not bad, but just mediocre, so it didn’t really stand out from the others. The place is pretty popular so it was pretty packed and noisy, a little hard to hear people talk.
Ka N — Google review
Tonchin delivered a fantastic ramen experience. The dipping noodles were generous in portion and the broth was rich, authentic, and full of flavor. Service was excellent — friendly, accommodating, and unlike many other NYC spots, we never felt rushed. It made for a really comfortable dining experience. Definitely worth booking in advance if you want to secure a spot. Highly recommend dining here when in New York.

Busy, but worth the wait. Walk-in, had to wait for maybe 10 minutes by the bar. Waiting was made easy by super friendly bartender. Signature ramen was absolutely worth it , plus the cucumber salad and gyoza. Deep but not heavy , thin slices of pork , lovely texture of noodles, and super smiling staff. All the best to Tonchin crew from Norway!

Stumbled upon this place and it does remind me a little bit of Tokyo! The TSUKUNE bao was very flavorful. Even though the ramen were about $21-$22 it was still good. The thing that surprised me was how tender the roasted chasu pork was. You can tell the restaurant stayed busy but even as a walk in, the wait was 15-20 min. I would say 8.5 out of 10
Aslee V — Google review
Tonchin absolutely delivers one of the best ramen experiences in the city! From the moment the bowls arrive, you can tell each one is crafted with care -- rich, flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and fresh, vibrant toppings that bring everything together beautifully. Every bite is balanced, comforting, and deeply satisfying without feeling heavy.
Aphirak B — Google review
Amazing Japanese ramen spot! Super humble yet definitely not low-key — it has received Michelin recommendations for 5 years in a row. We went for lunch during our visit to New York, and the value was incredible. For just $27, you get a starter and a main, including their classic tonkotsu ramen. Hearty soup and super generous portion of noodle which can be rare for ramen places. There are also other great options (some with a small extra cost). Highly recommend trying the Tsukemen as well — perfectly chewy noodles (served hot or cold) paired with a rich, concentrated dipping broth. Absolutely delicious! The restaurant is located right in the heart of Midtown, making it very easy to walk to from nearby tourist attractions. If you’re in town, don’t miss this place! We did walk-in on a weekday 10min after opening time. The restaurant can get busier so reservations are highly recommended for popular times (I.e weekends).

TLDR: decent ramen that was unfortunately just too oily 3.5 stars I like a good tonkotsu ramen but this ramen was just too oily. I usually like drinking the soup but the initial spoonful of soup coated my mouth with a thin layer of oil. The rest of the ramen was good but being unable to enjoy the broth on its own really hampered the experience.

I came here two times for lunch and for dinner. The ramen was tasty. It’s a nice place, but there is a small problem with the air after eating, our clothes smelled a lot like food. Everything was good, the waiters were kind and smiled. They also helped us choose some good sake. But the administrator was not nice. She talked to us in a rude and unfriendly way.

Minca is a small Japanese ramen spot located in the East Village of New York City. Unlike other noodle bars, Minca focuses on simplicity, offering 15 straightforward items without the option to mix and match meat and broth. The cozy joint has gained a loyal following over its 17 years for its signature pork and chicken bone broth, customizable flavorings, and various noodle options.

This place was just okay. My friend and I came here for the ramen and it wasn't bad, except my noodles were overdone and too soft. The broth had some thickness to it, which was actually nice because at other places, the broth is usually watery. And this ramen was hearty and perfect for a cold winter day (I had the miso and my friend had the spicy miso). We also had the spicy kimchi and some type of green salad (I forgot the name, I think it was seaweed lol). I can't really comment on those because I didn't care for the flavor profile of them. Otherwise the service was friendly, but the whole atmosphere felt dirty with flies everywhere and no air conditioning. I dined-in, but I think it would have been better to order out instead.

The ramen here is the definition of a solid bowl of ramen. It’s not glamorous, nor does it need to be. This is where you should go if you’re craving ramen or if it’s a cold rainy/snowy day outside. I do wish they used ajitsuke or even regular soft-boiled eggs instead of hard-boiled ones.

I wiped the sweat from my dark brown eyes that are slightly too big for my face and remembered how someone commented on a TikTok I made about Momofuku, saying Minca was the better ramen choice in EV. I showered off, tucked my adidas sweats into my Nike socks, slipped on the all-black hokas and set off on the 0.4-mile journey. I missed it on my initial walk by as it is extremely ducked-off. Lowkey as the kids would say. With about 14 seats, an open kitchen based on necessity and the workers all speaking Japanese amongst themselves, Minca is about as authentic as a ramen place can get. It brought me straight back to wandering down a random street in Shibuya, seeing impeccably dressed Japanese residents enjoying their bowl of ramen at the tiny little ramen restaurant scrolling their WhatsApp. I ordered the seaweed salad and the Spicy Miso Ramen. I always say that you can tell how good a Japanese restaurant is by how good their seaweed salad is. Okay I’ve never said that but this seaweed salad was really damn good. The ramen broth was flavor blasted without being too salty or too heavy, and the noodles had the perfect texture that would leave a smile on even Ivan Orkin’s face. Honestly, it was a big mf bowl too and I think two normal humans could split this and still walk away content. I, however, happen to be a big dawg. My #1 ranked ramen in EV as of now. Also, I love the name of this place. MincaMinca! Sounds like a cute pokemon hahahahaahaha.

Say it isn’t so? MINCA HAS CLOSED TOO? This is tragedy. It was the tastiest ramen I’ve ever had in the world. Kambi is dead, long live Minca! I was heartbroken to learn Kambi on 14 and 1st was closed last month but that it’s sister restaurant is open. And you’ll be well satisfied. Is a bit Tinier than kambi in space but still the most delicious ramen I have ever tried in the world. Will be my regular go to from now on. Love you guys.

Good ramen at a cash-only establishment in East Village. Definitely satisfies the ramen craving but was a little disappointed after reading several reviews saying it’s the best ramen in Manhattan. Yummy but felt it needed more umami. The meat was tender. I loved the hole in the wall vibe it has

i ordered their tonkotsu ramen (pork bone broth). overall the dish was pretty authentic and tasty to eat. the broth was rich and filling, although i typically prefer slightly more “pork flavor” in the broth. the noodles they used were thick and had a good texture (i prefer it slightly more al dente/harder than how they cook it). the chashu was very savory and tasty though slightly on the drier side. all in all i’d still highly recommend swinging by and giving them a try if you’re nearby!

Great ramen. The broth, the noodles, and the tender pork belly. Of the places I've been to, their menu is the most reasonable (for Manhattan) and also the most delicious. The broth's consistency was heavy enough to stick well with the noodles. The flavor was tasty and not too overwhelming. I drank the soup all the way through. The pork belly was tender and melted in your mouth. It wasn't all fat either. The shrimp gyoza are also amazing. They are not gimmicky; they don't shout greetings in broken Japanese as you enter the door (to give you that authentic vibe). They are authentic and they show it through their ramen. They are also very hospitable and generous. They didn't charge me for swapping out an ingredient. A lot of places I've been to tend to charge you or completely deny you for swapping a simple ingredient for another one. In fact, all I asked was to NOT have scallions in my order, and instead the waitress simply offered a generous substitute. How about that? It's amazing how subtle yet powerful a gesture like that is when it comes to food service. I still would have enjoyed this place for the ramen alone. It makes for a fun, casual date spot. I would also have no problem coming here completely solo. After all, I just want good ramen and service. I'll return!

Ichiran is a Japanese ramen chain known for its solo dining booths and customizable ramen orders. With locations in New York City, the restaurant offers a unique experience where customers can personalize their ramen from the richness of the broth to the firmness of the noodles. The efficient service and delicious broth make it a favorite spot for many food enthusiasts. The solo booth experience allows for a quick and enjoyable meal, with no tipping required.
I’ve been here countless of times and enjoy my experience each time. They recently added a kiosk system which takes away from the full experience however the ramen is still amazing. Make sure to keep track of your points if you’re a local like me. They add up quickly. This place is also nice for bigger groups. I brought a party of 7 here for my birthday and we all had a good time.

Ichiran Bushwick has a really unique concept with the solo dining booths and quiet vibe, but overall the dine-in experience left us wanting more. The ramen itself is good—solid broth, tasty pork and seaweed, and the egg was actually great (even if you have to peel it yourself at the table). I’d rate the ramen itself an 8.3/10 for flavor. But the overall experience drops it down for me. You order on a tablet, there’s no real service to speak of, and everything feels pretty impersonal. The pricing also feels high. A regular bowl starts at $20 and jumps to $26.50 with add-ons like egg, mushrooms, seaweed, and scallions. And the portions for those extras are small. $3 just for some extra scallions is WILD!!! . Ambiance was fine, but nothing amazing. Honestly, it seems way better suited for takeout than dining in. Overall giving it 3 out of 5 stars. Worth trying if you’re craving tonkotsu in Bushwick, but I’d skip the booth experience and take it to go next time.

All the other Ichiran locations had ridiculously long lines 🍜, so we drove out to this one in Brooklyn. This spot only offers one type of ramen — perfect for the indecisive 😅 — though the menu overall is pretty limited. The price is about $30 per person, which is fairly normal for NYC 💸. As for the taste: not bad at all, but definitely not worth a super long wait. The broth was the best part — rich but not greasy, really flavorful 👍. There were two kinds of pork: one served in the soup, and the other on a separate plate. The one on the plate was much tastier 🥩, while the one in the soup had a really strong, almost unpleasant smell 🤢. Overall, it’s worth a visit if you’re nearby and want to avoid long lines, but not a must-visit spot unless you’re in the area 📍.

I ordered the Classic Tonkotsu Ramen with the following customizations: • Yes Chashu • Medium Garlic (recommended) • Rich broth • Yes to Scallions • Level 2 Spicy • Medium Dashi (recommended) The ramen was delicious — seriously flavorful. The broth came out rich and creamy with a nice balance of heat from the spice level I chose. It wasn’t overpowering, just enough to linger in the back of your throat in a good way. I’m really glad I took the time to customize it, because I think that’s what made the bowl hit just right. The garlic, richness, and spice ratio worked perfectly. The noodles traveled well and had that classic springy texture. Chashu was tender and buttery, even delivered. For delivery ramen, this was top-tier. Not cheap — with all the fees, it came out to $27.77 — but the quality was strong enough to justify the price for a once-in-a-while treat. Would definitely order again, with the same customization.

The ramen is pretty good and the solo booths are fun, but I find this spot is very overpriced for what it is. $26 if you want ramen and basic toppings. Ramen is my favorite food and I’ve tried many of the NYC staples. This was my least favorite and I’ll explain why. They make you peel the egg and my egg was served cold and overcooked. The pork (chashu) is plain and not braised. The broth and noodles are very good. I was missing the bamboo though and it’s not an option to add on. The service was weird. I got a 4 spice level based on their recommendation. I found it not spicy so I asked for more and was told I would be charged extra if I wanted over 10. I wanted a 6 anyways, but for $26 you should be able to choose any spice level… Once I got my extra pepper, I was told I have to add it right away and they would take the extra since it is a secret recipe and they can’t leave it with me. I felt pressured to add it quickly instead of tasting intermittently to my liking. I get it’s their special recipe, but maybe don’t ruin the eating experience by hovering to take the extra pepper back? I’m glad I tried this famous spot, but I probably won’t be back

Had a great time on a sunday night. Broth was delicious and the booths were fun. We waited in line for maybe 25 min at 8:45 pm. Soup came quickly afterwards! Add ons were maybe a little expensive for what they are but the rest was great!

Extremely overpriced for what it is. $60 for two bowls of ramen is bonkers. Flavors were good, service nice. Meat was dry. Egg was impossible to separate from shell.

Delightful and delicious ramen restaurant. Don’t let the small space deceive you — this place hits a home run with their creative and flavorful ramen offerings. And definitely try the pork buns — they melt in your mouth, unlike any pork buns I’ve ever had. I do wish the chairs were a little more comfortable but the food comes out so quickly that you’re not hanging around in them for too long. I love this restaurant!

I've spent a fair amount of time in Japan, so I'm always on the hunt for quality ramen. And this spot delivered across the board. I started with some delicious alcoholic drinks which were very good, but the star of the show is the ramen. It’s probably the best ramen I’ve eaten outside of Japan. Rich, exploding with substance and flavor. A perfect meal for a rainy day in New York. My partner and I had the pork bone ramen and spicy miso ramen. The pork broth is amazing, the noodles are perfect, and the chashu is moist and flavorful. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!! If only I could return and eat a different ramen dish here every day....

This was perfect for a rainy autumn day lunch last weekend. I ordered their spicy pork bone ramen, and they nailed it. The broth was rich, just the way I like it, with great depth of flavor. The noodles were perfectly al dente with a nice bite, and the thick cuts of chashu were wonderfully tender. Just an all-round great bowl of ramen. I’ll be back!

Chicken ramen isn’t great, but the spicy miso ramen is rich, creamy, and actually quite good. If you’re limited to chicken due to dietary restrictions, I’d recommend skipping this spot. However, if you enjoy pork, the spicy miso is definitely worth trying.

No we’re lucky as we didn’t wait to get sitting but small place. Got the pork ramen and the chicken ramen, both were great, very tasty. Kitchen is open and you can sit at the bar and see how they cook or you have tables.

The best ramen we have had outside of Japan, and we’ve tried most of NYC’s ramens. Both the spicy pork and spicy miso pork were amazing. The egg was perfect, chashu was tender, and the broth was really flavorful. The service was also great. Definitely a hidden gem.

I dont have anything against this place, but i personally wouldn’t come back. $21 pre-tax+tip for Pork Bone ramen. Noodles were firm, broth wasn’t as rich as I’d expect from reviews and the name. Pork was thin and only about 2 slices. This place is probably good for an average person, but not a critic/stickler like myself

If you're on the hunt for a vibrant dining experience, look no further than Birds of a Feather. This delightful eatery, launched in 2017 by the talented husband-and-wife team Xian Zhang and Yiming Wang, specializes in authentic Sichuan cuisine that tantalizes your taste buds. From spicy Sichuan noodles to house-made dim sum and braised whole fish swimming in chili oil, every dish is crafted with care. The ambiance at Birds of a Feather is just as inviting as its menu.
I’ve been to Birds of a Feather four times now, and it never disappoints! The food is always so flavorful and cooked perfectly. It’s seriously one of my go-to spots. The staff is super helpful and attentive — they really make you feel taken care of. The vibe is chill but still kind of classy, which makes it a great place to hang out or go on a nice dinner. Highly recommend if you’re ever in Williamsburg!

“In”-people go to Brooklyn, not to Manhattan anymore. Many excellent restaurants are found in that corner of the dense metropole. Among them birds of a feather, a Chinese-inspired cuisine of highest quality. The interior is cool with multiple individual tables and a major communal table in the center. The atmosphere is hectic but the staff remain calm and friendly. The food was outstanding with too many choices untested and requiring us to return in the future. (Originally posted by me on Yelp)

Really delicious Sichuan dishes. The menu isn’t overwhelmingly large but has a good variety. Twice cooked pork belly and chongqing chicken were both really great. Soup dumplings and duck fried rice were pretty standard but solid and the food comes out really quick even though the place was full. Worked out to about $50pp with only tea for drinks and before tip.

5-Star Review for Birds of a Feather (Williamsburg, Brooklyn) Birds of a Feather – A True Gem for Foodies and Friend Hangouts! If you're looking for that perfect spot where incredible food meets unbeatable vibes, Birds of a Feather in Williamsburg is your answer. This Sichuan-inspired Chinese restaurant, born from the genius minds behind Michelin-starred Cafe China, nails the balance of authentic flavors and chill atmosphere every time. I've made it a ritual to come here with my crew – it's hands-down my top go-to place for group hangs. The space feels warm and inviting, with those subtle nods to Chengdu's laid-back greenery that make you forget you're in the heart of Brooklyn. Whether we're splitting plates after a long week or celebrating a birthday, the energy just flows – spacious tables, dim lighting, and that effortless cool factor that keeps conversations going all night. But let's talk food, because oh man, it's on another level. Top-tier doesn't even cover it – every dish is a flavor explosion. The Dan Dan noodles? Silky, spicy, and nutty perfection that had us all fighting for the last bite. We couldn't resist the cumin lamb skewers (smoky, tender, and addictive) or the mapo tofu, which brings just the right heat without overwhelming. Portions are generous for sharing, and the cocktails (shoutout to the yuzu margarita) cut through the spice like a dream. Service is spot-on too – attentive but not hovering, which lets you focus on the good times. Price-wise, it's a steal for the quality – expect around $50-70 per person with drinks, and you'll leave stuffed and smiling. If you love bold, authentic eats in a spot that's as fun for friends as it is delicious, do yourself a favor and book a table. Birds of a Feather isn't just a meal; it's a vibe. Can't wait to go back! 🌶️🍜 5/5 stars.

Birds of a Feather is a beautiful spot tucked away in Williamsburg that really stands out for its atmosphere and design. The space has this perfect balance of industrial and modern décor exposed brick, soft lighting, and elegant touches that make it feel both stylish and welcoming. It’s one of those restaurants where you notice the details right away, from the furniture to the way the dishes are plated. I stopped in for their lunch special, which I thought was a great deal. The prices are fairly affordable considering the quality and the portions the servings are actually quite large, so you definitely won’t leave hungry. I ordered the chili fish, and it was excellent flavorful, fresh, and just the right level of spice. The food came out quickly, which I really appreciated during lunch hours. I also tried the egg and scallion stuffed pancake, which ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal. It’s crispy, savory, and full of flavor the kind of dish that makes you want to come back just for that. Overall, Birds of a Feather is a great place for a relaxed but elevated meal in Williamsburg. Highly recommend checking it out, especially for lunch.

This is a sister restaurant of Cafe China (near Times Square) and is a slightly more upscale version of Cafe China. I like the ambience here much more. They have lots of outdoor as well as indoor seats. There’s a beautiful backstreet area with not much traffic, and it’s nice to sit there on a summer night. I really like the spring celtuce we had; even though it’s a standard dish, the shimeji mushrooms and wood ear mushrooms together with whole long red chilis and sliced garlic really enhanced the dish. For appetizer, the okra wrapped in bacon is truly delicious—I’ve never had this dish anywhere else and it’s a creative delight; the sauce is a little bit sweet (and not spicy) so I would say this is more “Peking duck style” rather than “Szechuan style”, nevertheless it’s really delicious! The pork tastes quite lean and absorbs the sauce perfectly. I really love the beef in chili oil dish! They have this dish at Cafe China but I don’t remember having kelp in it; the kelp really enhanced the favor and made it more complex; it tastes great! They use high-quality dry red chili. Portion size is great for the price. Great location.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in New York. The space is nicely decorated, comes with outdoor seatings. Service is fast. The food is the star of the show. The portions are large at this restaurant. The quality doesn't miss no matter if I dine in or order delivery. Chungking chicken comes with crunchy small chicken bites, loaded with chillies, packed with flavors and that mouth numbing spiciness. Kung pao chicken is tender, velvety texture. Spicy fish filled is my favorite dish; it's comes with small fried fish fillers, crunchy, perfect moisture level with that signature spiciness of szechuan chilies. Mapo tofu is also one of the must try dish, hot tofu on a bed of spicy ground pork sauce. It's perfect for any dinner meal. Spicy cumin lamb is absolutely the most tender and flavorful lamb I have had in a long time. Tea smoked duck offers juicy smoked duck slices, pairs well with buns and sauce. The restaurant can get really crowded during dinner time. It is suggested to get a reservation ahead of time or to stop by at odd hours to avoid waiting in line. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves to enjoy Chinese cuisine or just loves to incorporate chilies in their meals.

This place is a vibe. From the moment we were greeted by the host (and her trainee) to the attentive service throughout, the entire team was genuinely present and engaged. The drinks were spot-on, and sitting outside made it even better on a warm summer day. We tried the pork soup dumplings, a special jerk duck (a colab with another restaurant for their 10th anniversary), and the prawns — all packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. Can’t wait to go back. I’m sad it took me 10 years to discover them, but now I’m glad I have a new and amazing sit down Chinese spot, wishing them many many more.

ANOTHER REVIEW INCOMING! The atmosphere and service at this place is just so welcoming. Amazing restaurant design with long lengthy hallways and plentiful outdoor seating in the back. That alone made me want to come back. The dishes were all tasty, but I did not try any pork or beef dishes so I feel as if this review is incomplete. Everything was tasty but besides the chicken dumplings I think I would order completely new items next time. Make sure they get you started with the pickled spicy cabbage. It was delicious.

Ok sooo 1st time every on NY read the reviews and I will say this was ok but for the price its NO! Egg drop soup as you can see is not a thick consistency like the normal giving chicken broth with eggs and ginger 🤢. Chicken Tso $26 for the small container was horrible. Had chicken fried rice literally was white rice with chicken and eggs . Please look for some something else this place was disgusting. I ate because I was hungry but man come on for price I've had way better. Maybe you just dont care what you serve people . Try it if you want lol I told you ! Go somewhere else

A great spot! The food is really good - while the presentation was just slightly sloppy for the dishes we ordered, they were punchy, fresh, full of flavor. We particularly enjoyed the soup dumplings which are much larger than regular soup dumplings - they were delicious, with huge servings of pork and broth. The Dan Dan mian was good, but not all that special - I would probably get the hanging pork noodles in future. Finally, the Mo’s General collaborative sandwich, BBQ Hanging Pork, was just amazing and one of the best things I’ve eaten this year. The prices are a little higher than you might expect but the portions for what we ordered were large, we ended up with leftovers, and the meal felt very homey. The service was solid, and the vibe of the place is really fun - low lighting, very moody. It’s a great place for a date, with several different dining areas and a mixture between louder and quieter tables. Cocktails looked great and we’ll definitely come back to try them!

Kings Imperial serves up a delicious variety in a cozy and quaint atmosphere. Our server was quick and friendly. The food was all delicious, as you can see we all started eating before I could snap pics. The regular dumplings were huge! The chicken dish was a small serving (wish it had more chicken). Favorite dish was the cold sesame noodles, this dish changed my mind on peanut sauces. The fried rice didn't look like the usual fried rice (pale, seams like they don't stir fry it w/ soy sauce) but was very tasty all the same.

It was a muggy day in Brooklyn, we stopped in to get a lil cocktail and a bite to eat. The AC was blasting which was a great relief from outside. First we ordered some cocktails, made by our bartender Cassidy, they were perfectly balanced and delicious! Our server Rogue, with the cute glasses, was so friendly and accommodating, we’re vegetarian and she ordered all of the vegetarian dishes for us and they were all AMAZING!! Both of the mushroom dishes are delicious, if you’re a fan of mushrooms you must try the mock eel and the sichuan oyster mushrooms! We felt so comfortable and taken care of, we will definitely be coming back! Absolutely love this place and all of the staff are super friendly!

Really enjoyed our dinner at Kings Co! Have been twice now and the food and drinks are great. The soup dumplings, cucumbers, dan dan noodles, garlic eggplant and crispy garlic chicken were all standout dishes from our group order. Service was quite slow though - their bar was super backed up and we didn’t get our first cocktails until halfway through the meal, and the second round also took a while to get to us. Something to keep in mind. Overall, good vibes and dinner! Will be back.

Mountain House is such a gem! The dim lighting and cozy atmosphere make it a perfect spot to enjoy with friends, family, or on a date. It’s a bit of a trip from Manhattan, but the subway ride is easy and absolutely worth it. It could even make for a fun day trip if you live in Brooklyn or Manhattan. The restaurant is also close to LGA, so it’s a great stop before a flight. The food is delicious and full of flavor. If you don’t handle spice well, I recommend choosing the mild option, which still has plenty of taste. Highly recommend!

A Hidden Gem for Sichuan Food Lovers- I give a soiled 4 for this reason If you’re craving real Sichuan flavors, Mountain House in Flushing is a fixer. The food is packed with bold, spicy flavors that taste just like what you would find in Chengdu — not watered down for American tastes. From the numbing kick of the peppercorns to the deep, savory spices, every dish feels authentic and carefully made. The atmosphere is cozy & homey, with a rustic vibe that makes you feel like you have stepped into a mountain village. It’s the kind of place that doe not try too hard to impress — it just delivers seriously good food with a rich culture flavor I recommend the dry pot dishes and dishes with their house chili oil. Whether you are dining with friends or showing someone what real Sichuan cuisine with a cultural connection is all about, this place will not disappoint if you have the sweet tooth

Absolute perfection. I wouldn’t change a thing about this place maybe with the exception of more flexibility for vegetarian noodle dishes. But even so. Hand pulled noodles were delicious - ordered no meat. The dumplings are great. The shallot oil noodles are more mild in flavor if you don’t want anything crazy. Saw all the great reviews and heard it was cheap and tasty, so I gave it a shot. Weirdly, not a single Asian customer there, which made me curious. After trying it, I kinda got why. It’s not bad, but nothing special either. The flavors were just okay, and the texture of the dumplings and noodles were thick. Broth wasn’t bad. It’s a mix between counter service and sit-down service—you order at the counter, but they bring the food to your table. Everything comes in to-go containers, yet you’re still expected to leave a tip. The restaurant and the tables, sauces were really dirty. Everything was sticky. Considering the service, food, and cleanliness, the price wasn’t even that cheap. The noodle dishes were priced at $10.95 and $12.95, which didn’t feel like a great value considering the overall experience.

I've never eaten anything like it. Their handmade noodles are out of this world, the peanut sauce that accompanies them is delicious, and the fried dumplings are in a league of their own. In short, this place comes 100% recommended, food 10000/10.

This tiny gem in Chinatown is a must-visit, despite its size. We tried the Hot Sesame Noodles and the Steamed Pork and Chive Dumplings. The dumplings were one of the best dumplings I ever had and regretted not ordering more. The noodles were quite tasty and filling. I would definitely recommend trying this place.

Yesterday, I stopped by Super Tase for a quick lunch. It’s small, and there were about 10 people in line in front of me when I arrived. The line moved quickly and a table was open after I ordered. Sichuan style dumplings and the Burning Noodles with pork. Both items were hot, fresh and delicious. $17 and it was enough for 2 people. I added extra chili oil to both, since I like it hot.

Chicken dumplings were amazing!! Delicious, moist and full of flavor. Veggie dumplings a bit too dry and Taiwanese pork rice was very good! Deft will be back soon
David C — Google review
Stopped for veggie dumplings and honestly wish I hadn’t. They weren’t bad… but it’s made up of corn, shiitake mushrooms, egg, carrot and a hint of glass noodles. ($6.50) That is a VERY American take on veggie dumplings. I was hoping for something more traditional (cabbage) and this was not it. If that stuffing sounds good to you, you’ll be happy.

Crazy busy and the chefs were working very hard!! Got the 10 for $5 dumplings, great price. The flavour was really good. Tossing the dumplings in the chili oil and the vinegar is a good idea.

Hao Noodle Chelsea offers a blend of rustic and refined ambiance, serving housemade Chinese noodles in regional dishes alongside specialty teas. The restaurant features an aesthetically pleasing setting with a small bar and main seating area adorned with plants and a skylight. Diners can expect delicious, flavor-packed food with just the right amount of spice, such as the popular Lamb Noodles and golden spicy pickled cabbage.
Sublime! Authentic Chinese cuisine, well-crafted dishes; nice to see they have vegetarian combo with high quality ingredients. Make sure you try the Rose Jelly— a breeze of fresh sweet air in the hot Manhattan summer

This Michelin Guide Chinese Restaurant located in Chelsea is also Haidilao’s hidden sub-brand in NYC! We tried their signature Misty Lemonade and Lychee Cocktail drinks, and not only they are refreshing but also super aesthetic! We tried their Hotpot Beef Noodle Soup, Spicy Mixed Beef and Tendon, Crispy Aromatic Duck, Crab Roe Soup Dumpling, and Shanghai Lion’s Head Meatball! Everything was so delicious! The interior is also so pretty and cozy!

Great food, but without any surprise and delight. The DanDan Noodles had a 麻辣 (numbing spicy) factor going for it, which is a huge plus if you’re a fan of that type of spice (I am!). Portion size on that one disappointed, especially since the added minced pork was an extra $4 and pretty minimal—meaning without it, the dish would’ve been small with no protein. There was nothing particularly special to the shrimp fried rice, but exactly what I expected and tasty. The soup dumplings were flavorful and fresh. Now for the service… which they wish I wouldn’t get to. Extremely below par for the establishment they are trying to be. 1) The coordination between servers, bussers, hosts, and the kitchen staff was noticeably lacking. Stepping on each others’ toes/in each others’ way. No one was clearly dedicated to our table. 2) We sat for about 10 minutes before getting menus and water, and 25 minutes before being able to place our order. The restaurant was not particularly busy and there were plenty of open tables and staff around. The pluses: 1) once we finally ordered, our food was out in a matter of 5 minutes. 2) they gave our kids free toys to play with and take with us. Overall, if they step up their service coordination and maybe increase the portion sizes, we’ll come again.

I like the atmosphere and the service a lot. Unfortunately I would say the dishes are mediocre. We got a weekend menu deal, and the only thing that’s good is the bean curd appetizer. The fish fillet is pre-fried and put in the pot, batter tasted soggy with little seasoning, and the noodle is also mainly seasoned by the chili oil. Dimsum is premade and some of the cauliflower is not fresh.

Came here after walking around Chelsea on a gorgeous Saturday and I was not disappointed by the food. I started out with the sweet and sour short ribs and the scallion seafood pancakes and both were flavorful in their own right. For my main, I went with the fried spicy shrimp and my friend went with the crispy rice duck. I personally didn't find the shrimp overly spicy. I initially thought I was going to be in trouble as it was covered in massive chili crisps, but they were more salty than anything. My friend is from China and said all the food had a very authentic taste. I'd like to return and sample more of the menu.

The food was truly amazing!!! We had the pork rice, chicken un clay pot, stir fried water spinach and the crispy and spicy pork ribs. It was an explosion for the tastes, 100% recommended. Danny suggested the dishes and everything turn out to be great, great service.

This place was amazing. The food was delicious. Our server, Javier, was super knowledgeable and made amazing recommendations. We had the soup dumplings, the sea bass, and scallop pancakes. Everything was soooooooooooo good. 10/10 would def recommend.

They have a really great dinner combo deal - $60 for appetizer, two mains, two rices, dim sums, and a dessert. The food tastes authentic as well. I loved the braised pork so much. The other main dish from combo Hao - eight spiced tofu - was a bit too salty and greasy.

Very pleasant discovery in between Little Italy and China Town. I really liked that you can either choose preset meals, salads, noodles etc or you can compose your own which is amazing. The staff is very friendly and explains how it works very well. It tasted delicious. I really enjoyed my Ube drink too.

I never leave bad reviews—unless both my taste buds and my mood are simultaneously offended. My friend and I came for dinner around 8 p.m. There were only two other tables, and they were nearly finished. It was our first time here, so we weren’t familiar with the menu and took an extra minute to decide. The cashier got impatient and walked off to do something else. After we finally placed our order, it took about 20 minutes before we even heard the kitchen start preparing our food. The dishes looked decent when they arrived, but the first bite was overwhelmingly salty. A few more bites, and the saltiness turned bitter. The same thing for my friend’s dish. I had paid extra to add shrimp, but after digging through the dish, I found only 5 or 6 tiny pieces the size of a fingernail. We were starving after shopping and could’ve easily finished a whole bowl, but we barely managed a few bites… Never coming back!

I’ve a soft spot for anywhere that offers crispy, flavorful lotus chips - Noodlelove fits the bill. The food is like if sweetgreens specializes in asian fusion thanks to its fresh, filling, and flavorful options- and it’s it’s lifesaver if you want a quick bite later in the evening. The staff was friendly and conversational.

We loved the food. The fact that they have so many veggie options, made my heart happy. We had the teokbokki, bibimbap, and a chicken based dish. They all tasted very well. The space is really cute and can be a nice lunch spot.

nice place for a casual meal with friends, coworkers, and acquaintances. it feels like an elevated fast casual restaurant. there is a good selection of options for someone who doesn’t want to build their own bowl. i tried the chili peanut noodles and they were served with udon. good flavor and the sauce was thick so the dish was pretty heavy but that just means i could have it again for another meal. i would come back and build my own next time.

We got two different woks and both were SOOOO SALTY they turned bitter after a few bites. Absolutely not edible. We left right away, such a huge waste of money. What’s worse, We got shrimp as the protein, which was +$6.5, and there was no shrimp in sight (as you can see in the pic), only two tiny pieces after digging. The service was bad, the waiter walked away as I’m ordering??? We also waiting 25 minutes for these two simple woks… Don’t go to this place period.

Delivery Restaurant
Di An Di is a trendy restaurant in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, offering contemporary Vietnamese cuisine in a stylish and minimalist setting adorned with lush greenery. Opened in 2018 by the team behind An Choi, the restaurant draws inspiration from their extensive research and visits to Vietnam. The menu features innovative dishes like banh trang nuong, a Vietnamese pizza made of grilled rice paper topped with unique flavors. The house pho pays homage to the iconic northern-style Vietnamese dish.
After passing by this spot once, I had to come back to the area to try it. Always in the search of a solid Vietnamese restaurant in NYC, I believe that Di An Di has something really special to offer. The inside of the restaurant is spacious and there's lots of greenery + an open kitchen so it makes the place feel very inviting and open. Staff here is really kind. We ordered the rice cake omelette, banh hoi platter with crispy pork belly, and sizzling turmeric fish. Everything was phenomenal. The rice cake omelette was almost exactly how my mom makes it and comes with super chewy rice cake, lots of veggie toppings, and a great sauce. The banh hoi platter came with crispy pork belly and lots of veggies and garishes to enjoy with your banh hoi as you roll it in rice paper. And, the sizzling turmeric fish is served with rice noodles, peanuts, fish sauce, and veggies for you to eat with. One small detail that I really loved was how good their fish sauce was here as many Vietnamese spots in NYC tend to have it a bit less flavorful. Definitely would come back here to try other menu items!

The beef Pho soup was excellent. Great broth, perfectly cooked noodles and flavor all around. The papaya salad was also excellent, with all the right balance of flavors. We sat at the bar. Matheo gave us top notch service. We can't wait to come back and try some other great dishes.

This broth was unique and very very aromatic, one of the best broths I have had. We came here on a Sunday so the Brisket sandwich on the menu and it was an amazing choice! It comes with a broth which I highly recommend trying. We also got the pho with an egg on top, the noodles were so soft and the meat just melted beautifully. Location was very clean, service staff were so attentive and friendly!!

I visited Di an Di on a Saturday afternoon for lunch after hearing many great recommendations, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food was excellent and a great value. We started with the spring rolls, which were fresh and flavorful, then shared the fish for two—truly outstanding. We also ordered the papaya salad, which I highly recommend; it was crunchy and refreshing without the overwhelming spice you often find in Thai versions. The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting, with plenty of seating and a few high tables. We arrived without a reservation and were seated right away. Overall, it was a wonderful lunch experience, and I’ll definitely be back.
Cate F — Google review
all 10/10, impeccable service, AMAZING papaya salad + veggie spring rolls, and veggie pho was probably an 7.5/10–fresh and delish, just missing some different textures. maybe add tofu if you’re gonna order this, otherwise it gets a bit samey w soft mushrooms and soft noodles. Do not miss the cocktails, either! We loved it 🍜🍸💕
Elsa — Google review
We ordered the spring rolls, chicken pho, and beef pho. The spring rolls were excellent—fresh, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the pho was very disappointing. The noodles were undercooked, clumped together like a dense ball, and had a hard, sticky texture. The interior seemed raw, which made the overall experience quite unpleasant. We told the waitstaff about this situation, he offered a bowl of extra pho with bad attitude. He put the bowl of pho on the table then left. I’m only giving the star because of the spring rolls.
Jiawei Z — Google review
In my mind I rate Di An Di 3 stars, but my heart gives it 2. Tasty dishes, great ambience, but I got home feeling cheated. We ordered the papaya salad, crispy spring rolls, pork belly platter, and chicken pho (not pictured). My friends and I were excited to eat here and we were off to a great start with the small plates. However, when the platter arrived, I was baffled to see the measly size of the pork belly slices. The way our sad looking pork belly was sliced was inconsistent with other reviews (see others' photos for a noticeable difference). Then we realized it came with 6 rice paper sheets for those 8 slices and when I asked for 2 more sheets, I was not informed that I'd be charged. If I had known, I would not have asked. It may have only been $1 extra (I could buy a whole pack with $3!!!) to our substantial restaurant bill, but when I found out after we left I was very displeased. Some may think I'm being a Karen with our experience, but they fumbled the bag with us on this. In this city that's overflowing with excellent restaurants, so much so that you don't need to return in order to try other options unless your experience was nearly perfect, I call it having standards. I know there are better Viet restaurants out there that don't have a gentrified menu. If I were to recommend anything, get the crispy spring rolls.
Alisa O — Google review
What a wonderful experience! The interior is beautiful. It’s really spacious with lovely natural lighting and plants everywhere. The staff was incredibly friendly and provided lovely recs. We got cha ca and thit heo quay cuon. The herbs were extremely fresh! They don’t skimp on the veggies—the best part about any spring roll or vermicelli bowl in Vietnamese cuisine. The pork belly was extremely crispy and a perfect contrast in textures with the rice paper and banh hoi. Also please get the flan for dessert! Excited to return.

This takeout-only venue serves up no-frills Chinese noodle specialties like soups and dumplings. Exceptional crossing the bridge noodles. Great flavor, nice presentation, friendly service, no wait to eat here and food came fast, good price. We enjoyed all the food here and would highly recommend to anyone in search of a hole in the wall, no frills, peacefully silent noodle meal. Enjoy!

My buddy took me here last week. He thought it would be too spicy for me but I love spicy food and this did not disappoint. I got the Noodle with Crispy Meat sauce for $9.95 and asked for it dry. It also comes with cilantro which compliments the dish very well. The meat and noodles are bursting with flavor and puts to shame the noodles I’m used to eating. Our server was polite and very pleased we were satisfied. I will come back.

I think the food was meh, like personally the dumplings had a strong vinegar taste and it felt like the meat wasn't too fresh. For the noodles, the meat given for the braised chicken was very little and although there was a lot of noodles, the soup flavoring had a strong pepper taste to it. The aftertaste of the soup was really weird, so I personally do not recommend ordering this. The customer service attitude was also really lacking. This was especially obvious when a nonasian person came into the store. They immediately served the person with a glass of cold water and a plate of appetizer, which my table of 4 people did not get. The attitude they gave the nonasian person was much more pleasing and complient, while their attitude with my table was very nonchalant. I would say the food is decent enough for the price, but I would not come again. Rice noodles with braised chicken - $8.5 Dumplings with Hot & Sour Sauce - $8.25

The BEST broth, every spoonful rich with Yunnan flavor. Lots of places claim “crossing bridge noodle,” these folks are the real thing.

Delicious food and good prices. We got the crossing the bridge noodles and one other soup. The broth was house made and so flavorful and good, and the noodles were fresh and chewy. Definitely check this place out.

I remember this place before they even moved into an actual restaurant, it was just a small stall shop on 49th street with just a standing table. I cannot find this flavor anywhere else!! I love every single dish here but especially the zhajiang mi xian (no soup version), the sour spicy dumplings, and the pork intestine noodles. 😍 this place has to be on my list of top 10 favorite noodles.

Udon noodle restaurant
Japanese restaurant
Raku is a cozy and stylish spot located on Macdougal Street in SoHo, offering a variety of Japanese small plates and house udon specialties. The restaurant's unassuming exterior makes it easy to miss, but once inside, guests are greeted by a calming and transportive dining room. The menu at Raku can be overwhelming for first-time visitors, so it's best to start by deciding whether you want your udon warm or cold before exploring the extensive options.
I ordered the saba sushi, ankimo, ebiten udon, and sakura sake panna cotta. The udon was excellent. Both the broth and noodles were clean and well balanced. The panna cotta was very well made. The combination with red bean worked nicely and the subtle aroma of sake at the end was memorable. The ankimo was not very impressive even at $10. I personally found the shari in the saba sushi slightly too much, but not enough to break the overall balance of the sushi. The other dishes were also good. Overall, the flavors were clean and refined. The prices felt reasonable(for New York) and the quality is comparable to some of the best local spots in Japan.
Bo K — Google review
The noodles were perfectly cooked—chewy with just the right texture—and the curry broth had a balanced kick that brought everything together. The fried chicken was incredibly juicy and crispy, pairing perfectly with the sauce. The service was excellent—friendly and attentive throughout. A great experience overall!
Shreya B — Google review
The good: The udon noodles are excellent and perfectly chewy. The bad: - bathroom sinks are insanely small. I don’t know who looked at that and thought it was a good idea - they ran out of fried appetizers — three hours into service. That’s unacceptable, you’re open for another 6 hours! - you get very little protein for the amount of money you pay - we got zero service, nobody came to ever check up on us and it was extremely hard to flag someone down. - found a piece of black plastic in my food. I’m assuming it’s a piece of black nitrile glove?? - we opted to not tip because of these reasons, and the server thought it would be appropriate to “remind” us that tips aren’t included in the bill. When we said we knew, he asked if we were tipping in cash. Overall, for the price Raku is charging, this level of unprofessionalism doesn’t make sense. I would not recommend or return.
J S — Google review
The restaurant not too big, cozy, but pack, rsvp totally recommended if coming in rush hours. 90 mins to complete your meals since they are very busy so other customers can have an opportunity to dine in as well. Their steam eggs surprisingly so tasty and it took at least 20 to 25 mins wait for that dish. Their spinach and mushroom very simple yet very tasty as well. Udon was also good, overall I loved this place and I was glad that my hubby discovered it lol. We walked there since we were there on a vacation. There’s no way we would drive around NY. Too crazy and parking sucks. Good for kids, family as well. Serves beers and wines. Of course there is parking along the streets. But not easy to find one sometime. We either walk or uber when we come to NY.

Raku is hands down the best Udon spot I’ve ever been to - a must-visit for Udon lovers! 🥹 The noodles are insanely chewy, like mochi 😋The Kitsune was light and tasty, and the Tempura was crispy and delicious! Great pick for first-timers! Tantan had a nice kick but still felt clean and light. The Karaage was super juicy and tender 😗 - not a fan of the sauce, though. Highly recommend this place ✌️

Delicious udon with a large menu where everyone can find something they enjoy. I was very impressed with the quality of the food. The noodles tasted freshly made and the broth was comforting. Ramen Ishida is a popular spot in New York City known for its meat and vegetarian ramen soups as well as salads. Chef and owner Yohei Ishida aims to elevate chicken-based ramen by perfecting a clear chicken and soy broth flavored with ingredients like truffles, porcini mushrooms, and ethically sourced Bobo chickens. The restaurant carefully selects the perfect noodles to complement each broth, offering options such as thin, smooth noodles or thick, wavy flour noodles.
Ordered Shoyu and it was delicious. As a person who has traveled japan more than 20 times, this is a taste with innovation and playfulness that I’ve never experienced in Japan. Small place with limited seats. Can only wait around since they won’t call you, but 6pm on a weekday was about 15min wait. No too bad Minimum spending per person is $20
Tiffany L — Google review
I would recommend trying this place. The flavors are light and satisfying, leaving no heaviness afterward. Ramen is often oily and salty, but their chicken broth ramen feels gentle and balanced. It’s mild yet full of depth, a genuinely pleasant experience. Even if you have to wait around 30 minutes during peak hours, it’s worth it. Note that there’s no public restroom, and the shop is quite small with a 20 minute dining limit after your order arrives. They won’t rush you out, but it’s not really a place for lingering.

No doubt that New York has some of the best ramen spots, and this place is definitely one of them. The ramen I had was super flavorful, and I loved the cozy atmosphere of the small restaurant. Ramen Ishida’s New Tokyo Shoyu Bowl is a solid, no-frills take on a classic. The broth is super flavorful without being too heavy, and the noodles have a great bite. The chashu and egg are on point, and everything just comes together really well. It’s a simple, satisfying bowl that hits the spot

This place serves truffle oil shio ramen with a light chintan-style broth. It was really tasty The only downside was that it took quite a while for the ramen to come out. Also, there are only about six seats, so it feels pretty cramped.Still, maybe that’s part of its charm small, cozy, and very Japanese in style

Best ramen I’ve had in a long time and probably ever. Me and my friend both got the shoyu ramen, the broth was flavorful but not overpowering. We also got the crab and cream croquettes and they were to die for, it came with a peanut sauce which complimented the croquettes perfectly. Also highly recommend the iced matcha. We will 100% be back!

25 min estimated wait time turned into a hour in the cold with my husband. No restroom .. it’s all a recipe for disaster… this place does have great ramen but beware coming in groups larger than 1. They prioritized a group of 4 after 5 seats cleared up and only 1 seat was free. Had to wait for another party of 2. They were doing DoorDash orders so the kitchen was backed up. I had to plead for atleast a free drink to make up for the experience.. asked for the plum wine and she gave me a terrible sparkling peach drink. I won’t be frequenting this location anymore. I’ll try Chelsea. The clam and porcini special ramen was not all that. Definitely doesn’t shine anywhere close to their menu ramens.

I really enjoyed having lunch here on a warm summer day. The service is quick and welcoming. I suggest you try the tofu and refreshing drinks. I liked the vegetable dumplings more than the meat ones. It would have been tastier if the filling had been juicier.

We came because we saw photos of the dumplings that looked really good. We ordered the dumplings and the shrimp with soy sauce as starters, and the fried noodles with beef. Everything was very tasty! The restaurant was very beautiful inside, and the staff were really nice! Absolutely scrumptious, we were trying to find some yummy noodle soups in a clammy rainy day. This was the perfect stop. The add-ons for the ramen increase the price quite a bit so be careful there. Otherwise loved the service, ambiance, food was delicious. Price was reasonable.

I have been coming to this restaurant for about 10yrs (since it orginally opened on 86th and 1st). They truly are THE ABSOLUTE BEST RAMEN! Not only in the UES, but I would say top 5 in all of NYC. It's owned by a hardworking couple who come in day after day to make these dishes fresh from scratch with out fail - inspired by their parents personal recipes. I have never had a bad meal. And on the rare occasion I don't like something they would rectify it. My favorite is the Marble Pork, but my whole family and I have had many dishes. I was sad they had to move 15 blocks away from their original location a few years ago, so it's harder for me to get there. However, the new spot has a pleasing aesthetic and relaxing outdoor space. I wish them all the best. And customers new and old are in for an experience!

Friendly service with seats open for lunch! Pork Dumplings appetizer was filled with delicious pork & Chinese cabbage. Also as delicious were the entrees: Shrimp Fried Noodles & Sesame Paste Cold Banmen Noodles! Highly recommended!! 😘😋

Love everything about this place. Even tho I went alone it’s actually the perfect place for a first date cause there’s no LOUD MUSIC!!! So about the food I got the crispy fried vegetable balls as an appetizer and Loved it… didn’t even really need the dipping sauce tbh. The chili oil is good. If you like spicy food or Dan Dan Noodles you’ll love the Tan Tan Men Noodles here I like spicy food so I got medium level. Before I was half way down I was SWEATING!!!🥵 But I enjoyed it 🥴🤷🏽‍♂️. I got a small hot sake for $9 and it was totally worth it, that vessel in the pic held enough Sake for me to fill my glass almost 3times 🕺🏾. Last but not least about the pricing… I got everything you see in the pictures for $40.58 that’s amazing to me for the UES… I left full and tipsy 🥴. Will definitely visit at least 2 a month. 🙌🏽

I stopped by Peng’s Noodle Folk and left seriously impressed. I ordered the Marbled Pork Rib Ramen and a Sapporo draft, and both were spot on. The ramen broth was rich, deeply savory, and comforting without being too heavy. The pork ribs were melt-in-your-mouth tender with just the right amount of fat – full of flavor and perfectly marbled. Noodles had that chewy, springy bite that tells you they’re freshly made or well-sourced. Every spoonful felt like a warm hug. The cold Sapporo on draft was served in a tall glass, crisp and refreshing. Honestly, one of the best pairings I’ve had in a while. The vibe inside is cozy and modern – wood tables, minimalist design, and a calm energy that makes you want to linger. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. Whether you’re a ramen regular or just craving something satisfying and well-executed, Peng’s hits the mark. Definitely coming back for another bowl.

Chinese restaurant
Little Tong Noodle Shop is a compact eatery located in the East Village, offering a selection of Chinese mixian rice noodles accompanied by small plates and house pickles. Chef Simone Tong presents six bowls of noodles, all priced at $15, with an additional choice of five small plates available during weekday lunch. The restaurant's pristine and minimalist space provides a welcoming atmosphere for diners to enjoy their meal.
My family and I enjoyed our dinner at Little Tong very much. We ordered the won tons and Chinese broccoli appetizer and I would have been happy with 3 more orders of each for dinner! Delicious. The noodle bowls were beautiful and flavorful. The seasonal summer bowl was lovely- I added shrimp and the portion size was perfect. Service was very friendly. We dined on their patio after a short rain had closed it down, it was wonderful. I'm looking forward to eating here again the next time I visit New York!
Brijet M — Google review
Excellent! Every dish was extremely delicious!! My personal favorite would be beef tartare. Great crunchy texture with the carrot mixed in the beef! I wouldn't recommend ordering the special because it was pretty underwhelming comparing to the main menu.
Axelia C — Google review
Absolutely love Little Tong, a cool rice noodle place where gratuity is included. The meals are a good size but that shouldn't stop you from wanting to grab the pork wontons or beef tartare as a started coz they're great. The Grandma Chicken Mixian (with confit chicken) is amazing, and every now and then they have a King Crab Laksa that's worth a try. It's all really good actually!
Brett E — Google review
The style is avant-garde Yunnan-Szechuan fusion. There isn't another establishment quite like this in the way the cuisine is prepared and tastes. A real breath of fresh air in New York Chinese food scene! Loved the house pickles so much! Notes of fennel seeds, Szechuan peppercorns, cloves and much more. Super complex flavor. The Mixian noodles also had a nice texture. I don't know what seasoning is in that chicken noodle soup, but it is crack! Great job, guys!
Janet C — Google review
We ordered the Ghost Chicken and Pork Chao Shou, both were tasty and well done. I think we read that someone said you can probably make the Ghost Chicken at home, which I would agree, but I really like how it came out. The Pork Chao Shou was really good because the skin had the perfect texture while the filling was full of flavor. For the noodles we ordered two dry and two soup bowls. We had Little Pot Mixian and the Grandma Chicken Mixian to start. The Little Pot Mixian was a late bloomer in terms of flavor and enjoyment. I'm not sure if most of the umami settled in the bottom, but you would assume as you stir around for noodles it would mix, but it was better towards the end. The Grandma Chicken was spot on. That chicken was done extremely well. Succulent and full of flavor, and the flavor profile goes for the entire bowl. The second round we went for Mala Dan Dan Mixian and Mushroom Wood-Ear Mixian. Both bowls were dry and the Mala Dan Dan Mixian has a lot of great flavor and a nice kick because of the green pepper corn. The Mushroom Wood-Ear Mixian lacked a bit of character and even though the mushrooms are subtle, it was overall a boring dish. There wasn't much going on other than making me full, which is a positive. However, this is not to say that the Mushroom Wood-Ear Mixian can't be improved. Overall, not a bad spot, but I don't think it warrants more than 10 minute wait. If it rides the wave of the hipster/foodie hype, I'm simply too cash poor and time poor to wait long for a meal here. Compliments to the Chef for putting together a good menu. As always, take this review with a grain of salt since I've only eaten here once, so it is biased and probably unfair.
A L — Google review
We went there to eat, a group of 11 people (without my sister this time) we knocked on the door several times, waiting for the staff to let us in. the restaurant has a glass door and external glass wall so we could see the staff standing inside looking at us from within the restaurant with a weird face and waved/pointed us to use the door. When we finally got in the food was great.
Yuval F — Google review
Mixian definitely is the comfort food after a long walking day in the city. Soups are the plus. We had the best seats of the restaurant, at a corner between two windows. Realized we were part of the scenery of the street painting that those tourists were interested in.
Duoqisun — Google review
Went here for lunch, really nice little place. I thought it’s a traditional Yunnan noodle place. Actually it’s not, it has more innovative touch. The rice noodle is quite good, but not a fan of the chicken appetizer.

Happy Stony Noodle is an amazing Taiwanese restaurant that serves some of the best Taiwanese food around. The beef noodle soup is great and unique, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. It can be a bit hard to find, so make sure to ask directions if you're not familiar with the area.
Hands down this is one of the best Taiwanese eateries I've seen here in Queens. The taste and quality of the food is comparable with the food in Taipei. Even the place and seating reminds me of home-style restaurants you can find dotting the street corners of Taipei city. If you're in for good Taiwanese food, this is definitely the place for you. Price is affordable and portions are very generous. The dishes range from home-style dishes to typical street fare, such as Stinky Tofu and Fried Intestines. Just note that the place takes cash only, but there are nearby ATMs so it isn't too bad.
Christian L — Google review
Looking at other reviews. Decided to give this a try Did we eat in the same place? Food and Service was below average. The beef and tendon noodle soup lacked flavor. The broth was weak. The noodles were too soft and mushy. The cumin lamb noodles were okay. Not great and not bad. Big portion though. Oyster omlette had maybe 4 oysters in there? And the sauce was too much. I can make better oyster omlette at home. The fried intestines were pretty good. Overall the food was disappointing. Only 1 waitress. Tea was never refilled.
Jackson M — Google review
Overall the food was 4ish but 5 total for services and the prices. Everything we got was good although my friend said some of them were not that “Taiwanese.” Surprisingly, ✨scallion pancake was delicious. Crispy edge, pretty simple and traditional style. Beef noodles was good, I like it, but my friend said it was not Taiwanese style. If u r not looking for that, then it was still a good one. Stinky tofu here was a fried style. It was good too, didn’t go wrong.
Julia H — Google review
I highly recommended the beef stew noodles soup and popcorn chicken. The beef is tasty and tender noodles cooked just right the broth is good, not salty. The price is reasonable. Definitely will come again! 👍👍👍
Henry C — Google review
A very low key spot tucked away in the corner of Dongan St and Broadway. The beef tendon and beef stew noodle that I had was very hearty. decent amount of chunks of beef.
J. G — Google review
Happy Stony Noodle sounds like the name of a place for potheads who have late-night munchies. Gotta love them Engrish translations. Anyway, this was a pretty solid Taiwanese spot. Solid enough that I didn't mind the hefty train ride. The Stinky Tofu was one of the better ones I've had. The Oyster Omelette was huge and well-sauced. The Salt and Pepper Fried Chicken didn't come with basil, which was disappointing, but it came SPICY, and that made up for it. Love me some spicy fried chicken. Finally, the dish by which all TW spots are judged: the Red Braised Beef Stew and Tendon Noodle Soup. This was disappointing in that the broth was more tea-based than red-braised (no discernible spices or peppers), but they gave a ton of beef chunks and tendons that were very tender, so points for that. All in all, an okay rendition, but nothing to write home about. Thankfully, everything else we got was on point.

Went out for pho and ended up finding this place. Food was pretty good. Loved the beef noodle soup, especially on a cold day. The popcorn squid was really good too
Kevin Y — Google review
The most authentic Taiwanese food in NYC offers dishes that are bursting with flavor yet perfectly balanced in seasoning. The clean and inviting environment provides a street food vibe within a diner setting. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious and authentic Taiwanese meal without the need to travel to Taiwan!

Flaming Kitchen is a modern restaurant offering a wide variety of traditional and unique Chinese dishes, including dim sum. Visitors have praised the excellent environment, relaxing atmosphere, and fantastic service. The food has been described as some of the best Chinese cuisine in New York, with reasonable prices. The menu includes spicy options that are full of flavor and worth any potential wait time. While the focus has shifted to Hunan dishes and seafood, they still offer their unique lotus leaf tea.
Great spicy Chinese food served here. I came to New York as a tourist and found this place on a recommended restaurants list. The place did not disappoint. The foods were spicy but so good that it made you want to keep eating. Everything was savory and full of flavor. The experience was well worth the 20 minute wait (though we went on a weekend night so the wait might vary).
A V — Google review
My boyfriend and I visit NY for a short trip in April 2017, so far Flaming Kitchen was one of the best places to eat in NY. The environment is excellent! Super relaxing, the service was fantastic, and the food was the best Chinese food we ever got, prices are great! We were so fascinated with the restaurant that we came back for lunch next day before heading to the airport. I don't eat meat and they didn't have any problem making a noodle soup according to my needs. My boyfriend was so happy with his sesame chicken. We are a very happy customers and we highly recommended.

Vegetable spring roll starter was average at best. Main course Chicken Chow Mein and Spicy Chicken Chef's Special (exact name escapes me) were really good. Price is very reasonable price and good value for money. Just check your bill as they automatically added a +/- 18% tip and you could double tip if not careful.

Wonderful experience!! Saturday night in NYC. They quickly made arrangements for our party of five. We had a couple of picky eaters (our kids) but they easily adjusted the menu for them. The food was delicious, well seasoned, spice levels are easily adjusted during ordering. You must get the seafood specials the Crawfish are fresh and large.
Odamis F — Google review
Excellent ! Perfectly seasoned food, not overly salty. Spring rolls were good, too.
Mark H — Google review
They've recently changed from a restaurant serving all sorts of Chinese cuisines to an eatery focusing on Hunan dishes and seafoods. Ordered the Steamed Whole Fish with Chopped Pickle Chili and it tasted great except a little salty (completely fine with white rice though). They still serve with their unique lotus leaf tea which I enjoy the most.
Timliu75 T — Google review
Food was very good. Service could have been better though. The lone staff was busy tending to so many delivery orders that he couldn't give proper attention to us. Nice clean place compared to the usual old restos in Chinatown. They had football on the TV!

Fantastic real Chinese qusine - not some ersatz. Plus as the name suggested it was really FLAMING, hot & spicy (aalthough a bit overpricy).
