Prices are slightly higher, likely due to the location. The food is good but a bit salty. You may occasionally see what I call the mini kangaroo, unique to Rottnest Island. Otherwise, the atmosphere is great. overall rating 3.5 rounded to 4!

Reminded me of fish n chips I got as a kid with my grandparents. All wrapped in butcher paper. Filled with greasy chips, battered fish and a slice of lemon. Certainly not enough lemon supplied. Pineapple ring was yummy. Calamari was bread cumbed( i wish the fish was too). Coleslaw was horrible. A few diners. Very very casual place. Kid friendly.

Great fish and chips! A generous portion, for its price. Highly recommend ordering large instead of regular. The chips portion is considerably larger. (Last and first pic is large barramundi and regular lunchbox cape hake, respectively.) Visited this place because of the good reviews and its reputation as the "best fish and chips in Perth" . Just a few things I'd like to point out : the tables feel sticky and unclean, and the dipping portions are quite small. Otherwise, it's all good! I read the reviews recommending barramundi, it has a more fishy smell than cape hake. Cape hake has softer meat. Contrary to the other reviews, I'd recommend cape hake.

One of the most famous restaurants to try fish and chips in Perth. The foods definitely have a classic taste, and overall it is well prepared and has nice flavours.

This place is always a delight - the owner is genuinely passionate about the food that he serves. Fish and chips are great. The batter is perfectly crispy without being heavy and of course the chips are phenomenal. The prices are very fair given the location and current increasing costs. The squid rings are solid and I love the pineapple fritters. I recommend to the owner to add cinnamon sugar as an option for seasoning the pineapple fritter, and perhaps adding shakers of chicken salt?

A very modest looking shop from the outside. The food is good. The fish is fresh and flakes apart as you cut it. The batter is thin. Not too greasy. Had the Irish curry sauce which was awesome IMO

This place is good. Was afraid it would be a tourist trap based on the location. But the flavors came through. Crispy light batter and fresh fish. Got the lunch box for a decent price. The chips are fantastic. Some of the best I have had so far on this trip. Crispy outside fluffy inside. Good flavor. Only thing that I am sad about is how expensive the sauces are. Have to pay too much for sauce and the containers are small so would be even better with bigger sauce portions.

Fried fish and chips are excellent as they are crispy and tender inside. Ate in the restaurant. Noted that the setup is for takeaway. My main feedback is that the order does not come with the dip and had to pay $2 extra - a small plastic container( see pic) Fish and chips without the usual dip!

I've been living in the area for years, and every time I go past Tankk, I wonder if the F&C are nice. Now I'm wondering why I was wondering all those years! Service was polite and cheerful, the cooking was prompt, the price was reasonable and the food was marvellous. The crunch when you bite into the fish - wow! The chips were still crispy when I got home. The Goldilocks portion was great too - a good balance between still being sorta hungry on one hand and food waste (ugh) on the other. I had to make myself finish it so nothing was wasted. Thanks guys, you've got yourself a regular!

Ordered large fish and chips, the portion was really generous but clearly over seasoned to the point that it was just inedible. I also ordered a fish burger second disappointment, this time the bun was completely burned, see pictures. Just for the record in case you do not know when it's black, it's burned not golden and therefore you cannot eat it nor sell it though obviously it did not cross the mind of the person who prepared it. Training is required. Overall, really disappointed.

Thought we'd give Tankk Como a try as it is the closest one to us, unfortunately no plans to go back there again. Ordered on line for a pick up at a specified time, I arrived bang on pick up time and neither of the staff acknowledged my presence even though there was only one other customer in there, took a few minutes before one of them spoke to me to confirm my order, she then advised me that it would be ready in 5 minutes. The large fish and chips were good quality but certainly small in size compared to other competitors but it was the battered prawns that "took the cake" with only 2 of the 8 prawns looking like the menu image with the other 6 obviously "the runts of the family" as we were amazed that prawns that small would be served to a customer. Oh well, live and learn!!

The squid was very salty. But we love the idea of free slushy when we ordered the food.

Honestly an absolute hidden gem. Some of the best chippy we’ve ever had. Portions fair. Batter isn’t greasy or thick, and you can taste the seafood in it. Squid rings, prawns, and scallops all 2 thumbs up too. The kids at front of house were hustling hard too!

Got the seafood combo pack from here a couple of days ago and it was very tasty! Had the snapper, prawns, scallops and squid rings. Fish was well battered, the chips were just right and the squid rings were excellent. I normally will get the woodlands fish and chips, but I think I’ll be going with these guys from now on. I wouldn’t get the seafood pack again as it was a bit pricey at $25, however you are paying more for the snapper obviously. Will try the normal pack for 1 at $15 next time and see how it goes! Would recommend.

Always and always a great Fish & Chips. Crunchy batter. Not oily. I'd say best in Perth. And I am VERY fussy on how food is. It is WAY, WAY better than (spelling wrong of business names), Ciccerlos or Kailis in Fremantle. I drive all the way from Como just to buy Brighton fish & chips.

Order from here last night. The barramundi and snapper tasted so good fresh from sea to the order on the day.It felt for us. Good serving of chips they were yum. We would come back again!

Have been getting fish and chips weekly and it never disappoints! Spot on 100% of the time. The only issue is the long wait time. If you ring up and they tell you a time add 15-30 minutes to that time. They tend to only cook when you arrive.

Small unassuming shop. Went there for squid an chips as we were passing by. The batter they used for the squid was amazingly light and crispy. Chips were thick and crispy too! Not too greasy.

Both me and my brother ordered fish and chips. Chips were okay not thick hand cut but came out hot and crispy. However, fish (hake) was one of the worst I have ever had. I work in a fish and chip shop in Melbourne that serves hake and if I pulled this out of my fryer I would’ve put it straight in the bin. It was way too thin (basicaly all batter no fish), dry and held too much oil. The batter round the fish was soggy. No seasoning on fish either! Tartare sauce was grim no flavour and weird texture. Just to add the store was not busy when we ordered. Disappointed.

Used to be my favourite place for fish n chips in all of Perth. While still great and had a huge portion of chips (small chips is already quite alot), I can no longer say it's one of the top few. It's on a perfect location just by the beach. May or may not return.

Had lunch at this beautiful family run shop with exquisite views and delicious food with my mum and dad for my dads birthday, the service was exceptional. Staff are so kind, informative, attentive, the young lady even helped me store a little cake and brought it out at the end of our meal to surprise my dad. The food was divine. Crispy, hot, fresh, flavoursome fish, calamari, chips and mouth watering crispy fish burger. You can really taste the quality. Can’t recommend this place enough if you’re after a fresh delicious fish and chips feed. I will be back! ❤️❤️

I was hungry after all day at the beach and thought fish and chips would be nice and can't be too expensive. How wrong I was. I liked the location of the shop, right opposite the beach and the service was friendly. I didn't have to wait long for the food. But I paid 39$ for 1 pretty small piece of fish of the day, a salad that mainly consists of leaves, not much else in it, over 2 dollars for Tartar sauce and a bottle of coke. I think that is quite expensive. I'm not sure wether they have plates and cutlery but I don't think so, I wasn't asked if I wanted to dine in or take away and everyone I saw had takeaway container. I think a restaurant, even if it's only small but especially in close proximity to the beach, should have cutlery and plates for people who want to dine in, as it's unnecessary rubbish... I finished my little, expensive portion and walked away still hungry. I won't be back here.

Great fish and chips, best I've tasted in a long time, crispy batter and fresh tasty WA caught fish, all wrapped in butcher's paper. The quantity was very generous and service was friendly and quick. Not the cheapest in Perth, but the quality is excellent and can certainly recommend.

Canteen Trigg is a great spot for a summer breakfast, especially with the beautiful view from the deck overlooking the beach. Even though the line was long, the service was efficient, and we didn’t have to wait too long. My friends and I had the hotcakes, avo mash, and a peanut butter acai bowl, along with some coffee. The food was satisfying and had everything you’d expect from a good breakfast, though not particularly standout. The vibrant atmosphere, especially on a sunny weekend before Christmas, made it a lovely way to start the day. The view alone makes it worth visiting.

The other reviews were spot on. The salmon poke bowl was absolutely pathetic, but the fish and chips were pretty good. Also tried the calamari with fries which was pretty pathetic in that it was mostly fries and very few calamari rings for close to 20 bucks :( Just stick to the fish and chips and don’t risk it on the rest

Awsome price and food. Would not recommend the acai bowls here. you're better of getting anything else $20 or under. As the center of the bowl was hollow, it didn't have a lot of toppings, nor did I taste chocolate. The menu caters to vegetarians. Canteen is opposite Trigg Beach. great to watch the sunset.

I recently visited The Canteen Trigg for a takeaway coffee and had a fantastic experience. The coffee was excellent, with a rich and smooth flavor that made it a perfect morning pick-me-up. I enjoyed sipping my coffee while overlooking the surfers catching waves, which added to the overall enjoyment. It's a great spot to grab a quality coffee and take in the beautiful beach views. I'll definitely be stopping by again!

Think of this place as more of a kiosk than a cafe. Food quality was very average for the price. $15 for a berry granola and it was tiny and bland The worst part was that they didn't have any reusable crockery or cutlery, not even water bottle or glasses, everything was in a single use cup or box, even the food! Super environmentally unfriendly and there was so much waste on every table. I only recommend coming here for the hot chips and only if you are planning on takeaway.

We visited this store on Easter and were surprised at how clean the store was, the salads were fresh and looked delicious, the fresh fish was well presented. We ordered the Fresh Red Emperor and broccoli salad, the batter was very crispy. Will come again next time.

The fish here is incredibly fresh! You can choose your fish from the display, and they will cook it to order—either fried or grilled. Everything was prepared perfectly, and the flavors were amazing. We ordered a full table of food and finished every bite. Highly recommended!

We stopped by The Groper and his wife’s little shop at City Beach just before closing and were pleasantly surprised. It’s a cosy, kid-friendly place with generous portion sizes and a good range of food options for kids averaging $12 with chips. There was soup for $10 small and $15 large soup which was creamy bacon, potato and mushroom. Even though we arrived around 1:50pm (they close at 2pm), the chef was welcoming and happy to cook for us, which we really appreciated. There is a 15% surcharge on public holidays and some card surcharges with Eftpos, but it was all clearly displayed. A great local spot for a casual, tasty meal — worth a visit if you’re in the area!

I popped in earlier today for a quick afternoon snack/very late lunch 😣, and once again, I was not disappointed. The fish was cooked to perfection flaky, moist, and full of flavour. The young lady at the front was super friendly and efficient, even when it seemed to busy up a little. It's clear they take pride in what they do. While there was a bit of a queue, it moved quickly, and it's always worth the wait. If you're after top-notch fish and chips in City beach, this is the spot!

Arguably the best fish and chips we had on our two weeks in Australia!

This is how fish n chips is meant to be... old school style. Cooked to perfection, wrapped in paper. The batter is crispy and delicious. The fish is juicy and fresh. The squid rings melt in your mouth. The pineapple fritters are amazing. My order was ready in 15 minutes on a busy Saturday night and the staff are so friendly. I'm going to be a regular for sure.

Great food, We love the hake because it doesn't taste too fishy, we call it the chicken fish, definitely the option for people who don't love seafood. Quick service, I ordered and did a lap of the lake with the dog, perfect amount of time for them to have it all ready and a gorgeous spot for a quick walk.

Had a huge feed of fish and chips on Friday night. Ordered the family pack for $38. There was heaps of fish which was very tasty. I also got a couple of potato scallops which I thought were perfect and soft inside. The shop is in a great spot for those who want to eat at the lake. There is also several shops nearby including a Farmer Jacks and Bakers Delight. The service was very friendly and quick. Parking is usually available out the front.

Always crazy busy - but probably one of the best fish & chips in Perth. The chips are an absolute steal ($12.50 and enough to feed 8 people fully and then some 😅). Fish isn’t badly priced either - and quite reasonable compared to most places in the area. Whilst there’s no online ordering direct, there’s a fair few delivery services that do service it. Staff are amazing (and do get to know regulars too). :)

Was a great place. Came in late on a Monday night after training and the chef was kind and welcoming. Got the two people meal and took it to my grandmothers who enjoy it just as much as me. I had grilled she had battered.

Brought Snapper & 2 Fish Cakes and $3 chips Fish was Hake not Snapper asked for the Fish Cakes to be double batter but never got the Staff Member made excuse and poor attitude fish cakes appeared homemade as only thing that could be tasted was over powered by the mashed potatoes hardly any fish was tasted in the product over all the owners need to understand that customers have the right to ask for something and expect to get what they ordered nothing else last time I’ll buy fish and chips from this place so bloody arrogant

This fish and chip shop reminded me that it's possible to enjoy this simple food once again I find so many shops use sub standard or old oil here the food is crisp and clean tasting the portion was good and the service was good plus there is a good amount of seating while you wait.

Wow! This place serves the freshest fish around. We brought the family as my kids wanted fish burgers and I have to be honest, I wasn't expecting a lot but the food here blew me away. It was not just how fresh the ingredients were (mind you even the pineapple was fresh in Hawaii 5.0) The food here is wonderfully delicious! My kids totally loved it. They even had colouring sheets with pencils that kept the kids busy b4 the food came. We had the $15 Fish burger offer on the menu, Hawaii 5.0, and the cherry was the seafood chowder yummy yum yum! We were so full, didn't get a chance to try their homemade desserts. I will be back..... Stay tuned.

Went to this place for lunch on a Sat. The place was quiet. Food was good. The fish was fresh and the prices reasonable. We got the Senior Boss (fish, chips and salad) (17 dollars), Junior Boss (fish and chips) (12), two serves of chicken nuggets for the kids (8 per serve), sweet potato chips (10) and a piece of battered fish (8 or 9 dollars). Fish Boss is one of the best spots to enjoy delicious fish & chips and other seafood delights. The fish is always good sized portions and cooked to crisp perfection; the chips are wonderfully golden and delicious. However, the real winner at Fish Boss are the delightful fish tacos, which consist of a fish fillet atop crunchy salad, fried black beans, & corn purèe, topped with chipotle mayonnaise & jalapeños, inside of a lightly toasted soft taco. We grabbed some takeaway fish and chips and were really impressed! The fish was super fresh, perfectly cooked, and had a light, crispy batter. The chips were hot, golden, and not too greasy—just how we like them. You can really taste the quality and care in the food. The owner was so kind and friendly, making sure everything was packed well and ready on time. Great customer service and such a welcoming vibe, even for takeaway. Unfortunately this place has really changed, when we came here regularly 4-5 years ago the food was amazing. We visited on Friday night and the food was awful. The breading on the fish used to be light, crispy and beautiful, but instead it was heavy, thick and oily. The fish itself was small and tasteless. The crab stick and calamari was the same experience. The whole pack was loaded with oil. The food is completely different than it used to be. Really disappointed as we have fond memories coming here.

Fantastic family outing - all five of us left happy and full, and even our 3-year-old with food allergies had a proper meal. Easy-going atmosphere and clearly loved by locals, many were welcomed personally. Melt-in-the-mouth fish, delicious prawns, perfect squid rings, amazing mustardy salad dressing and the first place we have seen with five flavours salt options for chips! This fish and chip shop is extremely good , food is cooked fresh to order and is tasty and reasonably priced . The first time we ate from here we were extremely impressed with the portion sizes , it would seem the portions had been reduced on the second cost a few weeks later- the quality was still good but the portion size was vastly reduced . The staff are friendly and the food was tasty . Would recommend phoning ahead before arriving in person .

Batter is very good and traditional. The fish unfortunately is extremely thin as seen in the photo, so make sure you order enough to fill you up. Chips are nice and fluffy, but seasoning is inconsistent. One time i had the chips it had a lot of chicken salt which i loved, but recently had it and it was barely seasoned :( Also one note, i notice they do deep fried Mars bar and Snickers. My partner has Anaphylaxis to nuts, so i was slightly concerned about contamination of they use the same oil for Snickers and it leaks. She has not had a reaction luckily the times we have had Eureka, but could happen one day, so should be aware of such situation. EDIT: Thanks for the response. Still enjoyed the meal and will be back again. Of course not all fish are the same, and hake is a smaller fish, but I do enjoy hake, so perhaps will order extra next time, along with extra chicken salt for chips. I do hope that you never do have an incident with peanut contamination, as changing the oil would be quite an effort during peak hours. This was not a complaint but rather an important observation for people with allergies, since unfortunately, sometimes fatal accidents can happen, and it can be a nightmare. [10 Aug 2025] Hadn’t had Eureka Fish & Chips for sometime. Made an order over the phone for pickup. We arrived a couple of minute before the 20-minute, so I had a chance to chat with the new owner (John) who took over the business 3 months ago I must say the batter is still as good as ever. Light and crispy both hot and warm. We ordered the Seafood Set for 2 and upgraded the fish to shark which is really fresh and firm. The scallops was fresh and juicy! John had given us extra squid rings. The squid rings need some salt though. The chips are nice but could do with another minute or two in the fryer. Definitely one of the better takeaway fish & chips in Perth.

Ordered here a few times, portion sizes seemed to have gotten smaller and also be careful what fish you order most of it isn't local, either from Indonesia or south Africa, they do have some local fish, they should update there menu board and be more clear about the fish they're serving and where is comes from not have it on the counter at waist height where nobody can see it, and yeah wait times are pretty long, they need to be more transparent with the customer's. Overall it was ok

The $12.50 fish & chips is great value! Serving is generous and flavours are in point! The battered snapper is also a win. I wouldn’t order the salt & pepper calamari again because it didn’t meet my expectation. Was expecting it to be lightly battered. Also wouldn’t be ordering the battered feta because it was too salty. There’s less salty feta options out there which could be a consideration. Service was great and quick. Overall… will definitely be back!!!

Amazing Seafood and Service at Kailis Bros Leederville! Kailis Bros in Leederville truly delivers! The food was amazing – incredibly fresh seafood with large portion sizes that definitely satisfy. What really stood out was the amazing service. I asked our waiter to choose the side salad, and I was so happy with her choice of the Greek salad. It had great variety and flavors, perfectly complementing the meal. Highly recommend for an outstanding seafood experience!

I just had the most incredible seafood linguine with Napolitana sauce packed with a generous mix of fresh seafood and full of flavor. Highly recommended! The portion was more than satisfying. My girlfriend had the fish and chips, and it was absolutely massive, crispy andperfectly cooked. Huge compliments to the entire Kailis team for a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the service was spot on. Thank you for a fantastic meal ,we’ll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful evening at Kailis last night with friends. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was impeccable – the staff were fun, caring and attentive. Every dish was a true delight for the palate. The chilli mussels were absolutely amazing, and the sashimi was outstanding. The tiramisu at the end took me straight back to Italy – simply delicious! Buonissimo! 😍

Absolutely love this place. The food was delicious and proper authentic seafood. Sides were awesome also, the Greek Salad was especially good. Staff were friendly and the Chefs looked like they were enjoying their work. We shall return.

Spontaneous decision to dine in on a cold Saturday afternoon. We were the only people there for the first 30 mins hence the slighter lower atmosphere score. My hubby and I had fun though and lots of laughs. We ordered two different types of lobster. Mornay and Thermador, the latter being a special and my favourite due to the stronger flavour. Also had grilled calamari..not on the menu but staff were happy to accommodate. It took quite a while for food and drinks to appear which could be blamed on the slightly weird time we chose to eat…3.30. Not lunch or dinner.

We arrived at Kalis Bros Leederville around 7:30pm, and to our surprise, the restaurant was only half full. Our group of five adults was hoping for a satisfying meal, but things quickly went downhill. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a waiter who exchanged a few words with her manager. The manager then approached us and informed us that they could only offer a table for four at the front, as the rest of the restaurant was "full." When we pointed out the empty tables further back, where a large group was already seated mid-meal, we were told that those tables were off-limits. Apparently, it was "too far for the waiter to walk" since the restaurant was operating with only one waiter. However, we noticed there were at least three waitstaff on the floor, and the distance between the tables was no more than 15 meters. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience, and the manager's attitude came off as lazy and entitled. Feeling frustrated, we decided to leave and find another place to eat. On our way out, we overheard another group of customers sharing that they were turned away and told to come back later because the restaurant "didn't have tables," even though, again, the place was only half full. The lack of basic customer service, the poor attitude, and the overall mismanagement left a bad taste. We won't be returning anytime soon. Hopefully, management rethinks its approach to customer service and staffing.

Bright and lively fish and chips shop! Atmosphere is really nice but it's a small restaurant so book in advance if you want to eat in. Despite being a fish and chips shop, the air is not greasy at all when you dine in, so it's very well ventilated. We ordered the fish tacos which was okay. The salad was quite nice and the fried fish was quite tasty. They serve normal chips and sweet potato chips which are pretty standard. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Parking is not so bad to find and there's a carpark around the area.

We had a fab experience last night at Redfish Fish, Chips & Grill. Absolutely brilliant and cannot wait to go back. The owner Chris is a lovely guy and we went with his recommendations as it was our first time. It’s nice to find a place that values high quality seafood, cooked to perfection and quality in service. And, just genuinely lovely people. The food was amazing. We ordered: Snapper battered. Gummy shark tacos Garlic butter squid rings Potatoes chips and sweet potato chips Thai salad Lime aioli Battered snapper was perfect. Beautiful light batter. Perfectly cooked. Soft, flaky and delicate inside. Keen to try the GF batter next time. Tacos were delicious. Fresh, tasty, and the recommendation of gummy shark was a great compliment to them. My wife loves fish tacos and these brought a huge smile to her face (and mine). Garlic squid rings are now my thing. They were perfectly cooked. Chips were crunchy and lovely. Sweet potato fries were the winner. Thai salad was beautiful. Took us right back to our holiday. Light, fresh, zingy. Just the right compliment. And the house made like aioli was delicious. This has filled the void for us for fish and chips in Perth and more than happy to drive from Scarborough to Attadale for this! We will definitely be back soon.

Hidden gem! The loveliest owner, amazing service and HUGE portions of delicious, fresh seafood. The seafood chowder was tasty and had chunks of fish ans prawn. We also got the battered snapper, which came with 4 pieces of fresh fish the size of large adult male hand + a tasty, authentic thai salad to cut through the richness. Cannot fault and will come back.

Best unpretentious fish and chips south of the river. Batter is fluffy and crisp. Chowder is a must try. Don't miss the Thai salad too. Never disappoints....❤️

The best fish and chips I had during my Perth trip. Do ask the friendly chef to create a seafood platter and salads if you go there in a group. Loved the unique fish collars in batter. They’re delicious and divine. Will definitely go there again if I visit Perth in the future.

As someone who loves seafood, I've had Stone Jetty in Scarborough on my list for a while and I can say for sure it doesn't disappoint! The food was cooked so well - the chips perfectly seasoned and sized, the fish battered well and the coleslaw so fresh. The food wasn't oily at all with a very generous portion size. The store is located in a quaint area and is very aesthetically pleasing to look at! They serve a range of interesting and fun drinks as well as selling fresh seafood. Definitely want to go back one day and grab a tote bag too 🥰

I haven’t found better fish and chips anywhere in Perth. We loved every last crumb. Everything was cooked and served to perfection. The restaurant was lovely and clean and staff friendly and attentive. We really loved the house made sauces. A definite must visit.

The place was clean, nice music and seating was spread out nicely. The service was great aswell and although the prices are quite high the food is amazing. I recommend the fish tacos if you want something light, fresh and healthy. The slaw was very crunchy with a nice dressing and the fish was crunchy and fresh. Chips taste great and are a good size very crispy also, just a tad too much salt. Best spot for fish and chips so far.

A fantastic fish experience. The place is clean, the owners obviously know their fish and have a passion for providing fresh local fish and the food they prepared was beyond expectations. We ordered the fish burger and prawn roll. The hand cut chips were exceptional, always a delight to have something home made and cooked in fresh oil. The fish burger is now one of the best I have had with that light golden and clean batter to the beetroot roll (never even heard of before) and their slaw all went so well together. The prawn roll was also fresh clean and well seasoned. We will be looking forward to returning to try the rest of the menu and to secure our fresh produce from here for cooking at home. Very friendly, fresh and delicious - a perfect fit in with the other exceptional eateries along this strip.

I was really impressed with the quality of the food here! Amazingly fresh fish and really well cooked, so tender and delicious. Not too oily and the chips were some of the best I have had anywhere in the area. Food was quick too. Highly recommend. We tried the Hoki fish and chips and the prawn katsu burger and both were delicious. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our lunch here today sharing a large battered, pork sausage, Cod and chips, mushy peas and curry sauce. Real British style chips which was a nice change from the usual frozen. The Cod was fresh and cooked well with a nice batter which also held well onto the sausage. Would definitely come again when craving a taste of home. The complimentary mugs of tea with Yorkshire teabags was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Warm, knowledgeable service. Nice one !!

We only tried the small British chips but they were good! Tasted liked they should! $3.5 for the small, but that was a fine price for the size. (Less chips than you would get at the local chips ship, so don't expect the same style) Friendly, quick service. :) There is a lovely playground area just in front of the shop, so it has a lovely atmosphere :)

Placed a phone order at 5.40 and was told 10 minutes. Eventually was given my order at 6.20 after I enquired where it was, to which they forgot. Lady manager did not even apologise and looked like she didn’t want to be there. Numerous other people waiting around for orders. Fish was ok but a little dry. Chips look more like large rectangles and quite stodgy. Unfortunately won’t be returning to this store but will go back to Currambine store as always had a pleasant meal there.

As a British ex pat it was a special occasion to relive the flavours of my past. Cod, chips and a battered sausage with curry sauce, mushy pease and gravy. I’m 15 years of living in Australia I’ve not had a chippy tea worth mentioning till now. Complimentary cuppa yorkshires best and customer service was spot on.

The fish n chips were good but we've definitely had better. Fish/Snapper was a bit chewy & over cooked for my liking, a bit dry. Chips were cooked at different consistencies, some under done. Food didn't appear to be salted like other fish n chips, hence that's probably why they have salt on the tables. Large garden salad which was nice & a complimentary cup of tea for dinning in which was a nice touch! Customer service was really friendly & welcoming, really nice people & very accommodating. My family visited on a Sunday evening, busy little place & we didn't have to wait long. Clean, tidy & inviting establishment. Serving sizes were decent, I could've saved myself some money if I ordered smaller sizes as the only difference I found was we got more chips, not bigger fish. We'll give it another go!

Cicerello’s in Fremantle is always a good spot if you’re after fish and chips by the water. The location is great – right on the harbour with plenty of outdoor seating and a nice atmosphere, especially on a sunny day. The fish is fresh and the batter comes out crispy, and the chips are usually cooked well. Portion sizes are decent, but the prices are definitely higher than your average fish and chip shop – you’re paying a bit extra for the views and the whole Fremantle vibe. It does get busy on weekends, so sometimes you’ve got to wait a bit longer for food, but the place has a nice family-friendly feel with the aquariums inside and plenty of space. Overall, it’s not the cheapest, but it’s a bit of a Fremantle classic and worth it if you want the full harbour fish and chips experience.

Our cousins took us out for the day to Freemantle and we ended up having lunch at Cicerello's. It's a nice casual seafood restaurant with nice views of the water. We had planned to sit outdoors but the seagulls were pretty aggressive. The six of us ordered a variety of good (mostly seafood, although one cousin got a chicken sandwich). The portions are huge. I had ordered a spicy crumbled fish and chips and could barely finish half of one fish piece. My sister enjoyed her squid and crab. My brother in law was the happiest person with his lobster. He was amazed at the prices. It seems Perth is a lot cheaper than Auckland, NZ. Overall a good place to eat but come hungry or you will end up wasting your meal!!

Pricey fish and chips. Average food quality and portions are small. Just passable only. There is eating outdoors and indoors. Seagulls will descend and grab your food if you were to sit outside. This is a tourist trap, not recommended. Go elsewhere if you want good fish and chips.

Lovely aquarium-themed restaurant with a charming harbour deck dining experience. The portions are generous, and the service is warm and friendly. Do take note if you’re dining outdoors, these seagulls can be quite bold and might snatch your food when unattended! The food quality is excellent, though it would be even better with a few grilled options on the menu

If you love seafood and happen to be in Fremantle, this place is definitely worth stopping by. The menu offers almost every type of seafood from lobsters to fishes. The portion sizes here are generous and perfect for sharing especially if you order the combos and platters. During peak hours, the dining experience may get slightly chaotic but that is to be expected for such a popular place. The service here is decent as you have to check with the counter if your order is ready and take the cutlery yourself. Overall, I highly recommend Cicerello's Fremantle!

deffo the best fish n chips in Freo! at first we tried another one and had just and average taste of fish n chips, then the other day we tried Cicerello’s just because we wanted to compare which one was better and Cicerello’s deffo a winner~ their battered fish are more tasty, more crispy anda bit more pricey of course. but after all it was better experience and we would love to comeback for more 🥰

Fabulous fresh fish - a foodies paradise. Kailis, recommended by a friend, was a busy midweek venue even after a cool wet morning. Testament to its popularity. Apart from fresh fish the menu options are varied between bbq, grilled, steamed and deep fried. Prawns, lobster, oysters, mussels, octopus, red emperor, salmon and much more is available. I selected a salmon meal with chips and coleslaw and the serving was huge. One might choose to sit out on the boardwalk overlooking the fishing boats and there's adequate indoor seating. Alcohol is available. Pay upon ordering food or drink and collect for self service.

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I ordered the seafood chowder, seafood basket, and a dozen oysters. The mussels were served with the byssal threads still attached — completely uncleaned and inedible. That’s just pure laziness in the kitchen. I’ve eaten mussels at plenty of restaurants, and I’ve never been served them in this condition. To make things worse, the fish tasted old and far from fresh. The entire meal was subpar and honestly felt like a waste of money. When I complained and asked for a refund for the seafood chowder, the staff showed zero accountability. They refused to refund me and instead offered a replacement chowder or a piece of fish — as if I’d want more of what was already poorly prepared. The attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. This place is completely overrated. Do not trust the high ratings — they do not reflect the reality.

Kailis is one of the recommended seafood restaurants to try in Fremantle. I ordered the Garlic Prawns (AUD 29.5) and the One Fillet Fried Fish and Chips (AUD 17.5). I especially loved the prawns. They were fresh, and the garlic flavor was strong and delicious. The prawn meat was sweet and tender. The fried fish, however, was quite ordinary and lacked seasoning. I dined outdoors, where many birds approached empty tables, but the fresh air and view of the boats made the experience enjoyable. The service was good and fast.

Clam chowder is hearty, but nothing to rave about. Fish and chip definitely over rated and oily, prawns are small though fresh, calamari rings were soggy. The atmosphere was noisy and crowded, but the waiters were nice and friendly, they clean up the places very thoroughly before the next group. Definitely a tourist area.

This is my second time here. My last visit was in 2017. This time I tried the seafood platter priced at AUD 29. It came with 1 piece of fish, 2 prawns, 2 scallops, 3 calamari rings, and fries. The portions were rather small, especially the squid and prawns. The fries were quite a lot, and the fish had a bit of a smell. As usual, it wasn’t very relaxing to eat because of the seagulls that like to disturb. Overall, it was just okay.

Tried the fish and chips & the chowder soup. Fresh, crunchy but you need to buy the tartar separately (pity!) Chowder is good and packs flavour, soothing. Portions rather huge, recommended for sharing. Chai Latte was pleasant surprise, but too sweet.

The atmosphere here is cozy and relaxing. It's great for dinner with beer. Among them, fish and chips were fantastic. The pork belly rib was a bit smelly, but it managed to be okay. Honestly, I was disappointed with the small portion of Pickled Octopus. The staff were all friendly, and it's a clean, well-organized pub. ❗️Tip: There's an event on each day of the week, so check it out and visit.

I had a fantastic experience at Clancy’s in Applecross. The service was excellent with friendly smiles. The barramundi was perfectly cooked with a crispy skin and tender, flaky flesh. The sauce it came with was a standout, rich and flavorful, complementing the fish beautifully. Every bite was delicious and well balanced. With a great atmosphere, top notch service, and amazing food, Clancy’s Applecross is definitely a place I’d recommend for a relaxed and enjoyable meal.

I had an entertaining time at Clancy’s Fish Pub in Canning Bridge. Dining to the in-house DJ delivering 80’s and 90’s hits on a Saturday night. The service was solid, with staff who greeted us with warm smiles. The chill mussels were cooked to perfection, and the accompanying heat in the sauce was a highlight, rich and full of flavor, it paired beautifully with the garlic bread. The prawn and fish tacos were equally impressive, bursting with flavor in every bite and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere was quiet, with honest service and food. I would recommend Clancy’s in Canning Bridge for a laid-back beer with mates and a quick meal and definitely a serve of those chili mussels.

Vibrant pub with fish/seafood as its main concept. Big indoor and outdoor dining area, lots of in-theme decoration. There's deals on different days which is awesome for the budget-conscious. Fast service. Fish tacos- goes with its fresh, mildly sour salad Meatlovers pinsa romana- lightly spiced, generous in filling.

Went to Clancy’s Fish Pub in Applecross for a casual dinner and it was exactly what we were after. The place has a laid-back vibe with lots of locals dropping in, and we managed to get a table outside to enjoy the evening. Ordered the seafood basket to share which was generous and everything was fresh, especially the calamari. The staff were cheerful and quick to check if we needed anything. Finished off with a couple of pints which made for a perfect relaxed night out. Great option if you’re after easy seafood in a friendly pub atmosphere.

Came with large group of 20, celebrating a birthday. Service was good, but food wasn't up to usual standard. I ordered fish and chips, but fish wasn't fresh - it was a little hard. The food here is usually spot on, so was surprised and disappointed. Hopefully, this was an isolated experience.

To call themselves ‘the great British chippy’ you’d expect it to be good right? My $13.50 battered piece of fish came out as if it had been banged out and thinned, was soggy and somehow dry. My phone is literally thicker than this serving of fish. The chips are dry and soggy fresh out of the fryer. To pay this amount for this much fish it has to be good right? Especially if their business names them as the best … over price and under delivered. Very disappointing and will never be purchasing or recommending EVER!

Last time we dined in but, purchased the fisherman's basket and ate at home grilled fish cooked to a delite, chips tasty English style stuck to paper base not a problem. The prawns 3 1/2 prawn and I had the half because I dished out the food.

Should’ve left based on the fact the was no one in the shop on a Sunday afternoon. Women sitting in the corner yelling to her staff to serve the front. Fair enough you’re on your break but maybe stay out of site coz that is coming off rude. Food was absolutely rubbish and overpriced. Fish cake is not a proper British fish cake. Almost like they’d used the scraps and deep fried it with potato. Impressive to have it soggy and burnt all at the same time! Aussie crispy chips, not crispy. Or cooked. Young girl working there is only thing going for this place very polite. Will give credit where it’s due.

I have been a few times to this venue although the Butler store is closer to me. It's the same thing as the Butler store -- Fish and Chips but quite different to our standard Australian version of it. I for one like what they do and on occasion I do feel like the Brit-style chips. I recently tried the haggis and battered sausage. Both great.

A big miss of the mark this time unfortunately. We love this place and we travelled over 25 kilometres for our dinner, we were very excited and so keen to have the unique fish and chips this place offers. The service scores maximum points as usual, very friendly and welcoming team who are willing to help at all times. We were given x2 mugs English tea on a cold and rainy day, was a beautiful touch to the British chippy experience. The food this time however had missed the mark and was not worth the $71 we had paid for. The fish, squid, scallops and prawns all tasted like they had come out of a cheap frozen bag, we honestly couldn’t even finish our food. The fish inside the matter was mush, either frozen for too long or fried straight out the freezer. All the seafood just tasted like there was a big drop in quality, cheap and frozen lunch bar type of feel. Not what you’d expect from a place across the road from the ocean. We love this place, its team and its concept so much, but for a $70+ meal, not one things was right and so it becomes a big price tag for just good service. We would love to see it bounce back and up its quality to its original ethos and reputation.

Good price point to start, 20 dollars for a fish and chips. Unfortunately out of Cod at the moment. Chips were similar to chips back home however they were stone cold austin. Fish was nice and fresh.

Wow, what an amazing place!!! This place has it all. Great food, amazing staff, and fantastic location. The dhufish bites were sensational. I now know why this place is so popular. The batter was crispy, and the fish cooked perfectly. Scallops were yummy! The chips are amazing. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The fish was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside — none of that soggy batter nonsense. Chips? Golden, crunchy, perfectly salted. Even the tartare sauce had me questioning my life choices because I’ve been wasting years on supermarket jars. The young lady behind the counter was an absolute legend — friendly, welcoming, and somehow juggling orders faster than I could blink. Service was quick, and everything came out fresh enough to burn your tongue if you’re too impatient (which I was, zero regrets). Portion sizes are generous — I left feeling full, happy, and already planning my next visit. Catchy by name, catchy by taste. Highly recommend

Amazing food with great friendly service. I’m not usually a big fan of fish and I loved both their hake and snapper! My daughter loved the pineapple fritters with the cinnamon sugar too. Great to see that new management has opened up the gelato shop again - was very hard to choose which flavour to have as there is so many! I chose the watermelon sorbet and it was so so refreshing on a hot day! We will definitely be back, keep up the great work boys!

Had fish and chips here recently and was actually pretty impressed. Fish was cooked well — nice and crispy on the outside, soft inside. Chips were decent too, not soggy or underdone like you sometimes get. Portion size was fair for the price, and everything tasted fresh. Tartare sauce was alright, not overdone. Service was quick, no issues, just got the job done. Nothing fancy, just a good feed. Would go back if I was in the area.

Had the dinner for 2 with grilled fish. Was delicious and just the right amount. Busy day being Good Friday yet my meal was cooked in a timely fashion. Compliments to the griller for cooking my pieces to perfection, not every shop can do that. Will be back again for sure. Unfortunately didn’t get photos as I gobbled it all down.

The fish was pretty good. Got the seafood basket. Scallops didn't have much flavor. Prawns were nice and fresh. Squid rings tender. Fish itself was good and crispy on the outside. Overall the food was good. Chips not so much. Just frozen and fried so that was sad. The sauce is also expensive for tiny packages. I guess you should just walk around with tomato sauce and tartar sauce if you go to any fish n chips places in Aus. Was good enough to go again if I had more sauce. Not good enough to make a special trip.

The quality of this fish and chips shop is truly impressive. The fish is fresh, with a perfectly crispy batter that is not greasy, while the inside remains tender and flavorful. Fish is fresh and cooked to the crispy touch, chips are good, as i got to decide the salt level on them although i prefer no salt-dine-in advantage. Price is good- big at aud15, small for aud11 for a party of 3. Glad to make the 25mins walk to this place- highly recommended for ones crave for good fish & chips. Services excellent, keep it up! Wide choices of drinks to choose from too.

It had lots of promise but a little disappointing. Fish not that nice and chips were not crisp. We saw some good reviews but did not live up to hype and neither of us could finish our meals. We spent 5 weeks in WA and everywhere else was exceptional when we had fish and chips (including roadhouse in Bremer Bay). I think they need to adopt the Greek approach to seafood (simple preparation with seasoning and fresh oils highlighting the fresh natural flavour of very fresh seafood)

Absolutely loved the fish and chips here! The fish was fresh as and the batter was super crispy but not oily. Chips were golden and tasty, and the portion size was heaps generous. Staff were friendly and quick with the service.

sadly the standard has dropped since the change of ownership - the chips and fish are not quite the same - chips are a little too soggy and salty - and the batter is not great and leaves a slight oily aftertaste - it went from great to average =(

I ordered two pieces of bronze whaler and chips. I picked them up just as they were being wrapped up. Being hungry, I started eating them on the way home and the fish was tasteless and in my experience, wasn't fresh but frozen. It definitely didn't taste like bronze whaler, which was my favourite for fish and chips. This was my first time there. Will never go again and cannot recommend them at all.

Food is okay but gosh the customer service is appalling. The senior woman behind the counter is quite rude. I thought maybe she didn't like my face, but reading other reviews seems like there's something going on there. PS, and the rudeness escalates in her answer to this review. If you think all bad reviews mentioning your bad attitude are some sort of conspiracy against you I just hope you get the professional help that you need.

I don't live this side of town but was told to grab Fish & Chips from here as we were visiting friends up this way - can confirm that's the best advice I've ever received. From Connie's patience over the phone when I was placing my order (we are a little picky!) to the amazing customer service we received when going in to pick up our order - I literally cannot fathom eating fish and chips from anywhere else now. The food itself was fresh and hot and delicious! 10/10 recommend!

The second time I was served by a really unpleasant older woman who was very rude and unhelpful to another customer. They need to realise that she drives people away .

Staying in the area visiting family, at first I thought the price was a little steep, but it’s the best seafood basket I’ve had in a long time. Perfectly cooked squid and prawns and glad I upgraded to the mackerel. The chips were also perfectly done. They put care into the food and it shows.

A cosy little bar that serves up delicious fresh seafood. For being such a little bar they surprisingly offer an enormous drinks menu. The food we ordered was cooked to perfection and was a pleasure to eat. I can't wait to return here after having such a delightful experience.

Despite the high rating, I was really disappointed. The food tasted old and stale. The fish and squid were both overcooked and had that unmistakable taste of being frozen for way too long—completely inedible and sadly ended up in the bin. The squid pieces were ridiculously small—basically just three regular-sized rings. I also only got one tiny squeeze packet of tartare sauce. On top of that, the chips portion, while massive (enough for four people easily), couldn’t make up for the poor quality. And to make matters worse, my drink didn’t even arrive (this was a delivery order). Don’t let the high ratings fool you. I’d suggest looking elsewhere—definitely not recommended.

I tried the fish and chip shop out of Cellarbrations a while ago. Didn't realise it was so good. Have been here multiple occasions and never let down yet. The chips are perfectly cut, perfectly cooked, never soggy or too crispy... EVERY single time. Snapper is fantastic! There is a pretty decent menu and staff are always a pleasure to deal with. I used to get Asian cuisine nearby but now come here. Great food every time and fantastic staff.

Fish and chips are the best ones of ever had in all of Australia by quite a way. The fish fillets are thick and the batter is thin and not full of oil/grease.. 2nd time of been here and won’t be the last.

Read the reviews and decided to visit this store on the 17/6/25 as it was close to my accommodation. The fish was okay but definitely not worth the hype and the chips were dry and tasteless which was disappointing. I also had the beef burger which was better than I expected. Overall it was okay.

DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE! We ordered a very small food order today. When I arrived and went to pay I was shocked at the very high price. We got 2 pieces of fish, 2, crab sticks and 2 potato scallops. To be charged $40 is to me very expensive. I am however to pay good money for if it is worth it. When we got home and went to eat I was very upset to see the quality of the food. Everything was very overcooked, extremely oily, coated in a thin batter. The batter was not a normal batter this had herbs and spices in it (to me this added an awful flavour to the food that did not compliment the food at all). The fish was very old and you couldn't enjoy the fish due to needing to pick at what was edible. Overall a terrible experience and waste of money. I would not recommend eating here!

Excellent fish and chips with generous portions, cooked fresh to order. Beer batter was on point and crispy, as was the chips, and they weren’t drenched in oil. You can tell the owners take pride in what they do through the presentation of their food. Plenty of outdoor seating available. Absolutely fantastic. 5 stars.

The beautiful lady at Fish Boss had no idea how much appreciation I have for this amazing fresh fish tacos. Perfectly put together for a very tired mum, and having a very late lunch, at dinner time. The fish was the right amount, and I love the balanced taste of all the ingredients put together. Since I’ve moved, I always swing by on Tuesdays is I have a chance to go just for this… The chowder is a must have too!

Some of the best fish and prawn tacos I've ever had with excellent toppings. If only they could make them with 2 prawns per taco instead of 1, I would gladly give it 5 stars!

Consistent in quality, taste and most importantly and actually rather shockingly compared to virtually all other options, the best service and experience, time after time, from the amazing staff members! This lovely venue has the best menu, that has never deviated from great flavour and the best quality I've experienced in WA. Everytime I visit the staff are so happy and welcoming, making meaningful conversation. They actually truly care about their customers and will give anyone a wholesome experience. Even if you're not the biggest seafood fan, the extensive menu, quality and overall vibe is 110% worth the visit!

Sorry...but I don't know why such good reviews because our experience was poor. The fish in the standard fish and chips was nearly non existant, cardboard thin, see picture, chicko roll was not cooked through and cold in centre. The piece of snapper was a 4 out of 10. Came here because it had good reviews but very disappointing. You really need to do better than that.

I got the King Snapper and Chips tonight and it was a great meal. Best chips I've had in a long time and the serve of fish was generous and delicious too. Nice light batter. Staff also lovely. I was surprised that there wasn't a line out the door. I'll certainly be back.

A bit disappointing. Always enjoyed the fish and chips here but just lately the fish is ridiculously thin. A shame as the best chips around. The owner contacted me today re the above problem, he assured me that the fish in question was sent to them that thin. So I will try the fish and chips next time and hope that this has been fixed and review appropriately. I appreciated the call.

Though serving size is fine (one serving of fish is two pieces), the quality has been on a decline the last few weeks. Chips are well cooked but oil tastes old and even chips taste a little fishy. Potato scallops are so thin they are basically all batter (3rd time it has been like this). I assume to save money, but not good enough. Only positive is the pineapple fritters were juicy and a good size. Dissapointing, I will possibly try again in a few months, but one last time before I abandon the local altogether.

Been our go to for 10 years and recently (since change of ownership) have noticed a lot of negative feedback (in various community forums) but have stuck by them to get things sorted however got let down tonight. We accept Friday is busy and don't mind the wait times but to get there 50 mins after ordering and then be told there is no order under my name (and be accused of calling the wrong Fish & Chip shop - one that we have never used) leaves a bad taste. While i appreciated they did commit to retaking my order and doing it in15 mins and then on pickup saying they have given us some squid rings as an apology - I was let down again by getting home to find that the 12 mussels ordered and paid for was only 7😔 Come on - listen to the feedback, get your systems/service right and avoid the honest reviews (that you often seem to attack)

It’s a really beautiful place. We went to see the sunset and it was amazing as it disappeared behind the yachts. There are plenty of restaurants, as well as artisanal ice cream, açaí, and bubble tea. Highly recommended for spending an afternoon walking around the shops and enjoying more views.

One of the best fish and chip I've ever eaten and I have my fair share of fish and chips. Growing up, almost every year we will spent the summer holidays either in Australia or the Uk. Back when we were children, we will have fish and chips for lunch or dinner or both for most of the time. Subi fish and chips really brought back my childhood memories. The taste is on point. Just light battered, flash fried, fresh flaky fish and they use mackerel. The chips with salt and vinegar are to die for. Exactly, how a fish and chips supposed to be. I should know coz we went to eat there more than 3 times and no other place comes close to them. I might have to go back to Perth again just to eat their fish and chips.. Ooh do try their awesome grill cajun snapper and lots of squid rings. We ordered dozens of the squid rings. 🤤 You can never go wrong with lots and lots of squid rings right?

Been to Farmer's Jack in subiaco many times and I almost never look this way until the other day when the hubby saw this rather busy little place after work. Had a quick look on google and saw high reviews. So glad we tried this out. Fish, chips and squids are fresh and crispy. Reasonably priced for this location. We absolutely enjoyed the food. Will definitely be back. Oh and the service was fantastic. 👍🏻

This is actually one of the best fish and chips shop located in Subiaco, Perth. It's selection is very wide, good service and care for their product. I.e. they typically stab holes in their takeaway fish and chips to make sure it does not get soggy. The only issue I have is that you can't eat there it's a fully take away place and it only opens during the evenings.

Got the vegan fish + salad. A very solid 4.5. We’ve been missing nuthin fyshy since it closed down and think theirs is the best and highest standard to follow. Anyway, the fish’s batter and chips here were really crunchy and not too oily or over fried. As far as the vegan fish texture goes, it isn’t as “rubbery/chewy” like some mock meats (which is a good thing) and it’s kind of flakey and kind of on the stringy side in texture, though you can tell it’s mock meat - I thought it wasn’t bad, it’s definitely one of the better vegan fishes I’ve had. I don’t think I’ve ever had this vegan fish anywhere else before. The coleslaw was crispy, fresh and right amount of flavouring. Good range of salts and condiments like apple cider vinegar, chicken salt, paprika salt and chilli salt. I assumed it’d come with a tartare / slice of lemon, but it didn’t, I should’ve checked. Happy to have found a good vegetarian fish and chip option to satisfy fish and chip cravings!

Absolutely love this place — proper old-school value with top-quality fish and perfectly cooked chips. Sure, the chips are frozen, but they nail them every time. Had a nightmare next door at the pizza shop (raw and inedible), but these guys saved the night with some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Cooked fresh in 10 minutes and exactly what I needed. This place never disappoints — there’s a reason I’ve been coming here with my family for years. Highly recommend!

I've been a long-term customer of Santorini Fish and Chips in Bayswater (going back a few years now). I've had a lot of fish and chips in my time, but Santorini's is one of the best I've been to. They offer some amazing options for fish - including battered, crumbed and grilled and, with the grilled, so many different 'bases' to go with the fish! There is a lot of variety on their menu and everything is really reasonably priced. The staff are really amazing - warm and friendly - and, for very regular customers like me, they remember your name and face and preferences. Very highly recommended! Check them out! PS. Try their lemon and pepper - it has bags of flavour in it!!!

What can I say! Best fish and chips in perth! In nz we love our fish and chips and I think these guys know it. Fresh everytime we go (which is alot) big mussels and huge fillets of fish! The owner and staff are always friendly and chat when u walk in the door. The only things they don't have are eftpos which can be a bother and for me they don't do burgers(I love a good fish burger) but definitely a lovely place.

Have been purchasing from here for 7 years and always really good fish & chips but ordered tonight and the food was terrible, not sure if new staff training or new management but the fish was dry and rubbery, the crab stick was the same and the chips were ok but nothing on the quality I’ve had in the past. Last time I ordered it wasn’t the best either. Unfortunately this will be the last time I try Santorini. I’m hopeful this was a one off because the quality was so good historically.

Picked up my order got it home and thought the chips were a bit funny so I called and was told I had been given the dregs from cleaning up the chip bin. No apology, just when you come in again I'll give you a "few" extra chips. I find this place expensive and the serves, especially the chips very small..there are other places in the same area that do a better job and not as expensive . This happened in Feb 2025 and have not been back since. Been going there for over 35 years when it first belonged to the Italian family will never go back again

Squeezed in our order 3 minutes before closing time, cooked up one last Batch of chips and kept the door open after close until we got there to pick up. Genuine good guy! Chips were great too! 100% recommend! 😁

I’ve never had such a terrible fish and chip experience before. I got the seafood basket for one and the start of my meal was fine, nothing memorable but that’s okay. I then picked up a calamari and bought it to my face… The smell that emitted from that thing was like nothing I’d ever smelt before. Smelt like stinky fish, it was definitely off. I wanted to vomit it was so bad. It’s been a while since this experience, and I still haven’t been able to convince myself to go anyway near calamari… PTSD. I’m unsure how it got cooked, surely they knew it was all bad.

Initially asked for the fish to be grilled - was told "no" as the fish is too soft to grill, funny to hear, when I grill it myself every month. Okay, fine,I ordered a different fish a - charged extra for the fish to be grilled. Seemed a bit expensive to me so I had a look at the menu and noticed that the guy charged me a couple of bucks extra. Politely spoke to the chef, and he replied to me in the end "Happy"?! In the end recevied the food with a tiny portion and extremely salted. Apparently the owner also does not like to pay tax.

Just got dinner and the chips and nuggets were so burnt and taste of old oil not happy at all the fish was ok as we got grilled. Overall not worth what we paid.

Do not waste your hard earned money on this place. The fish was fried in cold oil, not snapper that we ordered an for a family of four it's not cheap. The whole meal was inedible. Chips were soggy and prawns raw. They need to change there batter and maybe try other places around. We only went as last resort as our lesmurdie one was closed. It was utterly dissappointing to say the least. Should be ashamed of what serving up. The dog didn't even eat the fish once batter pulled off. Never again. Wouldn't even answer 3 phonecalls before I wrote this

Well just had the Wednesday NZ Whiting special $13 x 2 - generous serve of chips, not greasy, not too fishy and in a box to ensure it was lovely when I got home. Very different experience from comments below. I have been here before and had a similarly good experience.

Usually we get our fish & chips from the Lesmurdie Fish & Chip shop at the Sanderson Road shopping centre but as they are closed Monday nights we tried Jolly Fryer in Kalamunda. What a total disappointment. Oil was so old the batter was yellow & tasted horrible. Cost was $10 more for exactly the same order as I’ve had from Lesmurdie Fish & Chips but for 1/2 the amount of fish. I asked for a little bit of salt, it was even written on my order, I’d hate to see what a lot of salt is then. Was soooo overpowering of salt. Most unhappy & will definitely not be returning. Will stick to the one we know & trust for quality & quantity LESMURDIE FISH & CHIPS.

We have been buying fish and chips from the Jolly Fryer for some years now and have never had a bad experience. Last night we ordered the Seafood Delight with grilled Hoki and it really was just that - a delight. Everything perfectly cooked and really good quality.

The driver for fins seafood swears at you with the fins seafood logo on the side of the vehicle, that drives away business before you even step in the door. Do. Not. Shop. Here.

My recent visit to Fins Seafood was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with an overwhelming stench of rotting fish and an atmosphere of neglect that made my stomach turn. Let's start with the sanitation—or lack thereof. The entire facility was a breeding ground for bacteria, with slime and grime coating every surface imaginable. It was clear that cleanliness was not a priority here, as evidenced by the mouldy walls and floors sticky with who-knows-what. As if the unsanitary conditions weren't bad enough, the staff's complete disregard for basic hygiene was downright appalling. Not a single employee bothered to wear gloves or hairnets, and I even witnessed one worker sneezing directly onto the fish before packaging it up for sale. Disgusting doesn't even begin to cover it. But perhaps what truly set Fins Seafood apart from other establishments was their utter lack of respect for customers. When I dared to voice my concerns about the cleanliness of the facility, I was met with laughter and mockery from the staff, as if my health and safety were nothing more than a joke to them. In the end, I left Fins Seafood feeling physically ill and emotionally drained. It's clear that this place cares more about cutting corners than they do about the well-being of their customers. Do yourself a favour and avoid Fins Seafood at all costs—unless, of course, you enjoy playing Russian roulette with your health.

How about if you are not open you take your signs down! You have signage on a main road(Cockburn road/Hampton road Hamilton Hill) with heavy traffic so people go to the effort of turning around and heading down a side street only to find you closed and THERE is the sign that says your opening days/hours. Have some basic business sense and either advertise your hours on the main road or take your signs down when you are not open! There is literally an open sign out front and you aren’t even open Sunday! Very poor form. Won’t make the mistake of stopping at your business again or purchasing your products from any of your locations.

If the van driver handles the food, no way am I buying from Fins. Tailgating, on the phone, spitting, smoking, running red lights after speeding through a school zone in a bus lane. A very unhinged man and it makes me wonder what they put in the fish.

The good bit is that I requested a side of salmon and someone went off and did just that. The bad bit is that I expect this to be normal behaviour from a fishmonger. Plus I was kept waiting so long as the chaps upstairs finished their chat that another customer came in after me and left in exasperation. I really wanted that salmon so I was in for the long haul. As you'll see from the accompanying picture, the salmon was butchered, to the point that the individual flakes in the fillet have separated. Shame.
