Khamma Ghani Restaurant is an elegant Indian dining spot in Udaipur, offering stunning views of the surrounding lakes. The open-air terrace provides a 5-star ambiance with the Aravalli Range as a backdrop and Rang Sagar Lake below, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a romantic setting. This restaurant serves a variety of local and international cuisines, ensuring a delightful fusion of cultural charm and culinary excellence.
Had lunch here with my friends and really enjoyed the place. The ambiance is beautiful with different seating options, and we chose the side by Pichola Lake which made it even more special. We ordered fish, dal baati churma, veg platter and drinks. The dal baati churma was super tasty – and honestly, it feels best when eaten with hands rather than a spoon. The vibe of the place is great and the staff are very polite and helpful. Perfect spot to enjoy good food with a lovely view.

Visited this much-hyped lakeside restaurant recently, and while the food truly lived up to its reputation, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. First off, getting a lakeside table took almost 40 minutes, far longer than expected. Once seated, the service was disappointingly slow. When we politely raised the concern, the staff mentioned they were tired as they had been working since morning. Honestly, for such a large and popular restaurant, proper shift management should be in place if that’s the reason they’re giving customers. Another downside to the lakeside seating is the insects, they’re constantly hovering around, and you really have to be cautious while eating. The quantity of food was also quite less for the price charged, which makes it feel slightly overpriced. That said, the taste was absolutely fantastic rich flavors, perfectly cooked dishes, and clearly made with skill. So if you’re visiting purely for the food, it’s worth a try. But if you’re expecting good service, quick turnaround, or a comfortable dining experience, you might walk away a bit disappointed. Go for the taste, but keep your expectations low for service and ambiance.
KOPAL K — Google review
The restaurant has a nice rooftop setup with good vibes for dinner. Staff were polite but need a bit more training. Service was okay but didn’t really match the high prices. I also noticed a hygiene issue — a waiter dropped a spoon and put it back, which wasn’t great to see. The food taste was just okay, not bad but not impressive either. The menu cards looked old and rusty, and some tables were worn out at the bottom. A few spots could also use better lighting. I had heard a lot of hype about this place, but honestly, I didn’t feel it was worth it. Maybe the owner isn’t paying enough attention to small details that really matter. The place has potential, but right now it feels a bit overvalued for what it offers.
Divyaraj T — Google review
Another good lakeside fine dining restaurant. This place is known for food, service, comfortable seating and for it's ambience. It does serve veg and non-veg food. We had positive experience. Service food and ambience was delightful. We didn't not prefer it's famous lakeside seating location as it was stinking. All other location were good. You get live music( tabla and flute). We ordered vegetarian food and it was of normal taste which you usually get in any fine dining Indian restaurant. Dishes price seems to be middle to upper range. Staff were very polite and helpful. Overall we had a positive experience.

A Romantic Lakeside Gem with Delicious Food (Worth the Wait!) Khamma Ghani is a must-visit in Udaipur, especially for a romantic evening. The restaurant's location right on the lakeshore is absolutely stunning and creates an incredible ambiance. We went during a rain shower, which made the whole experience even more magical. The combination of the beautiful setting and the sound of the rain was truly something special. They offer a unique mix of seating options, from regular chairs to comfortable beds, which adds to the relaxed and intimate atmosphere. For our meal, we ordered the Khamma Special Veg, a mix of palak (spinach), corn, and paneer. It was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. We also tried the mushroom curry, which was yummy but a bit on the oily side. Both dishes went perfectly with the Mirchi Laccha Tandoori Paratha, which was flaky and well-made. The only real downside was the wait time. Our food took about 45 minutes to arrive, so it’s something to keep in mind if you're in a hurry. However, the delicious food and unforgettable ambiance more than made up for it. While the food is incredibly tasty, be prepared for some rich, calorie-heavy dishes. Despite the wait and the rich food, Khamma Ghani is a place I'd highly recommend for its romantic vibe and amazing location.
Varun K — Google review
Loved the authentic Rajasthani vibes at Khamma Ghani 💛 Tried dal baati and a few local dishes everything tasted delicious. The lakeside view adds to the charm. Best time to visit is around sunset to enjoy the golden view and cool breeze. It can get crowded on weekends, so be prepared to wait a little but it’s totally worth it. Highly recommended!
Sakshi T — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) Khamma Ghani is one of the best restaurants in Udaipur! The ambiance is beautiful, overlooking the lake and giving a perfect royal Rajasthani vibe. The service was quick and very courteous. The highlight of our meal was definitely the Laal Maas — rich, perfectly spiced, and cooked to perfection. The meat was tender and flavorful, easily one of the best versions I’ve had anywhere in Rajasthan. A must-visit place for authentic Rajasthani cuisine!

On our recent weekend getaway to Udaipur, we went to this picturesque restaurant at Udaipur. The restaurant serves great and tasty food which includes both Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian food! The restaurant is located near Lake Pichola and the pics we clicked there were Insta Worthy!! However, the service was questionable, the food we ordered was served to us nearly in 20 minutes delay, the staff looked untrained and every time you ask them a question regarding food or waiting time, the all looked clueless. Rest other we are fully satisfied!!

Millets of Mewar is a top buffet restaurant in Udaipur, located near Pinchola Lake. It has earned a Certificate of Excellence for its high-quality food and service. The restaurant offers global dishes made with local, raw, vegan, gluten-free, and organic ingredients. Catering to health-conscious diners, it prides itself on being the city's first health food eatery.
I loved the food at this place. Must try : Special Tikki, Millet Daal Baati, Moms Veg Biryani, Veg Wrap, Rose Lassi The prices were also fine. Great experience and service The only drawback is that its not lake facing :(
Keshav A — Google review
Tried the fried rice here, and it was decent—not bad, but not particularly outstanding either. The flavors were okay, but nothing too memorable. That said, the place seems worth trying for other dishes, as the quality is reasonable. If you're looking for a casual meal, it could be a good option. Service and ambiance were fine too. Will likely explore more from the menu next time!
Shivani S — Google review
Millets of Mewar is a nice and cozy place with polite staff. It’s very close to City Palace, so it’s a convenient stop after sightseeing. We ordered Dal Baati and Pizza. They use organic and gluten-free ingredients, which is great if you like healthy food. But as a core Indian who loves strong spicy flavors, the Dal Baati didn’t have that traditional Rajasthani taste we were expecting. The pizza was good though, and we enjoyed it. We also tried watermelon juice, and it tasted pure — no extra sugars or artificial flavors. Overall, a good spot for clean and healthy eating, but don’t expect the usual spicy Rajasthani touch.

Best food, good staff and great ambiance. Located near lal ghat and next to city palace and Jagdish Temple. Good spot for photos too. The food was very tasty especially their millet khichdi and Millet bhel.

Everything is good here and taste is awesome. Must try is the rajasthani thali, coffee, paneer butter masala. It is near city palace. Lake pichola is nearby.

Sunny - the owner of this restaurant shared his experience about running the place. His story of resilience in this industry is amazing. The food is fusion between the modern and traditional roots of Rajasthan. Must try place if you are looking for a good ambience.
Kiran S — Google review
This place is one of the best you can find near City Palace, after a tiring session of long walks and taking pictures 😄 As evident from the name itself, try anything based on millets. I ordered pasta and millet veg biryani. Pasta had less vegetables than expected but millet biryani was unique and very tasty.

North Indian restaurant
Ambrai Restaurant, located at Amet Haveli, offers a romantic dining experience with its lakefront venue and stunning views of City Palace. The restaurant serves a variety of cuisines including North Indian, Mughlai, Continental, and Chinese. Guests can enjoy traditional dishes such as tandoori aloo nazakat and Daal-Baati-Churma while taking in the breathtaking scenery of Lake Pichola and iconic landmarks like Jag Mandir and Sajjangarh Fort.
We had an absolutely superb meal at the Ambrai restaurant. The service was excellent and it was friendly. It was a Sunday so it was full of domestic tourists and locals enjoying a lazy day. We just had some beers, gins and tonic (they have a very good value (for India) French Chardonnay at 5k. The tandoori chicken was deliciously spiced and we had a selection of breads to soak up the alcohol overlooking the Lake Palace which was simply lovely.

The place has an amazing location and ambience...it has great views of the City Palace and Taj Lake palace...the food is okay, though the staff are not too good and most times they don't seem too interested...the tables adjacent to the lake mostly have a cover charge. The food and drinking options are fine. The place mostly has open seating options for better views.
Vikas B — Google review
We had a delicious candle-light dinner here with a scenic view of Lake Pichola with soft live Rajasthani traditional instrumental music in the background. The service was quick. The staff was courteous and accomodating. The laal maas is a must try with their garlic naan. You can request them to prepare it according to your spice level. Bottom line- A must visit if you are in udaipur for a lovely meal

Ambrai Restaurant, Udaipur What an amazing experience! The ambience and location are absolutely breathtaking, offering a perfect lakeside view that captures the charm of Udaipur. We had lunch with the non-veg platter, pizza, biryani, and blueberry cheesecake — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was very fast and excellent, making the whole dining experience smooth and enjoyable. ✨ A must-visit restaurant when in Udaipur for anyone who loves great food, stunning views, and warm hospitality.
Roopesh Z — Google review
This place has an amazing view and ambience. Located at such a great point near the Ambrai ghat. You get an amazing view of the City Palace and the Taj Lake Palace from here. This place was also quite crowded. It's recommended that one pre-book their slot for the best experience. They charge 2000 per person as a cover charge if you have not booked your slot in advance and you want to experience sitting at the lakeside. The menu is vast, with plenty of options to explore, and their drink selection is equally impressive. I tried their pizzas and drinks and everything is so good. The service was top-notch. making for an overall great experience. Definitely a place worth visiting again and again.
Kinjal B — Google review
We understand that Ambrai is extremely busy right now Udaipur is in peak wedding season, and popular restaurants being fully booked is absolutely expected. That was never the issue. The concern is the way we were spoken to today when we inquired about a table. The staff member’s tone was unexpectedly rude and dismissive, almost as though responding to us itself was a favor. There was no courtesy, no attempt to communicate politely just a very abrupt attitude. Even at places like Taj and Oberoi, where tables are booked out months in advance, the staff maintain warmth, respect, and basic hospitality. That is what creates lasting goodwill. Being busy is understandable; being discourteous is not. Ambrai has a beautiful location and a strong reputation, but experiences like this reflect poorly on the establishment. I sincerely hope the management looks into retraining the front-facing staff. Hospitality begins at the first interaction, not after a guest is seated.
Pankaj P — Google review
Visited Ambrai Restaurant in February 2025, an unforgettable experience! The food was delicious, service was great, and the view was simply breathtaking. From the glowing City Palace to the white beauty of Taj Lake Palace shimmering on the lake, everything looked magical. A perfect dining spot by Lake Pichola — 100% worth visiting!🥺✨️🥂

One word amazing Ambrai is located on the banks of Lake Pichola in Udaipur, offering spectacular views of the lake, the City Palace, Jag Mandir and adjacent waterfront ghats. “The place comes alive at night with gleaming lights over the city palace and the flickering candles by the table.” Food is great i had lal maans , and chicken which was too good Must have a meal here when in udaipur preferably dinner

Tribute Restaurant is a lakeside dining spot offering outdoor seating and horse-themed decor. It serves a variety of Indian, Asian, and global dishes, with a focus on non-vegetarian Rajasthani cuisine. While not exclusively dedicated to Rajasthani food, the menu features specialties like Laal Maans/ Dhungar, Junglee Maans, Soyta Maans, Papad Meti, Aloo Mangodi, and Mewari Khichdi.
Very nice serene place to hang out with family. It is just on the puchora lake. To reach here can be a challenge, if you just rely on google map and have a self drive car it can be a traffic nightmare.. Better to hire an auto and park your car outside the lake area. The old city streets are amazing to place to visit. Sitting on a lake side having delicious food can be a memorable experience here in tribute.
Manish K — Google review
We visited this place on Saturday, fortunately we get chance to have dinner here in Night. Almost all seating arrangements are besides lack so you can enjoy the dinner with amazing views. Almost everything we ordered was good, however it is slightly overpriced. It costs us around 5k for three people. Service was extremely poor, most of the time need to call staff 3 4 times for order and for each items each takes average 30 minutes.
Nisarg D — Google review
Beautiful Atmosphere, But That’s Where It Ends The lakeside location and ambiance of this restaurant are undeniably beautiful – but sadly, that’s the only good thing about it. The food was overall disappointing. I ordered a sandwich for ₹475 – it was just tomato and cucumber, nothing else! Very small quantity, and it took half an hour just to serve that. Total waste of money. The pasta was the only item that tasted good, but again, the quantity was too less for the high price. The service was poor. Staff seemed untrained, had no knowledge of food preparation, and were not attentive at all. This place is clearly overhyped because of its location. There are many other restaurants around with similar views, but with much better food, service, and pricing. Overall – not worth the time or money. Definitely not recommended.
Dharamveer J — Google review
Visited this restaurant for lunch - it’s tucked inside narrow lanes, so best to go by your own vehicle since transport isn’t easily available from there. The place itself is pretty, with a nice location by the lake (though the lake water isn’t very clean). The staff was nice. We tried the biryani and pineapple raita - the food was okay-ish, nothing extraordinary, yet on the expensive side. Still, it’s a good spot to spend your evenings, relaxing by the lake and munching on some food while enjoying the view.
Akanksha V — Google review
Amazing view with great food on the ghaat of pichola lake. Evening dinners are best in candlelight. We had lunch here in winters and the service was amazing. Loved the vibes here and food. Great staff and location. A must visit restaurant on your visit to Udaipur.

It was a very special occasion for me—my first wedding anniversary and also the first Valentine’s Day of my life on 14th February 2025. I wanted the day to be truly memorable and beautiful. We planned a vacation in Udaipur for our anniversary, and I arranged a surprise dinner for the evening. While shortlisting restaurants online, I came across Tribute Restaurant. The menu looked good, and the location was absolutely beautiful. I found their contact number on Google and gave them a call to book a table. The staff was incredibly helpful with the table décor—exactly as I had shown them in the reference picture. Although we arrived 30 minutes late for our reservation, they still held our table and didn’t give it to anyone else. The staff was extremely polite and welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience—the food was delicious and reasonably priced, the service was top-notch, and the ambience was perfect for a special evening. I highly recommend Tribute Restaurant for anyone looking to celebrate something meaningful in Udaipur.

The Little Prince Restaurant is a charming eatery located by the tranquil waters of Udaipur, making it a favorite among visitors. The restaurant offers outside seating with beautiful views of Lake Pichola, creating a picturesque dining experience. Despite its small kitchen, the restaurant serves delicious food from various cuisines, including homemade pizzas that are crispy and generously topped. While some dishes like Lebanese falafel and hummus were found to be average, the overall dining experience by the lakeside was memorable.
Restaurant with a beautiful view of Lake Pichola. Tried their corn and cheese pizza and loved how fresh it was. Their aglio e olio pasta was great as well. Wonderful place to dine at night especially.

The place is next to lake and the view is amazing also the food is so good that I can’t get over their falafel platter . The staff is polite and service is good. 10/10 for food and atmosphere ❤️ will come every time I’m in Udaipur old city

Just discovered this Udaipur gem, and I'm obsessed! The entrance is stunning, and the lakeside location is absolutely breathtaking. What's remarkable is that despite its proximity to the lake, the ambiance remains pristine and odor-free. The food is phenomenal - our spread of Indian Chinese, Lebanese, and Italian dishes was a culinary journey. Generous portions and wallet-friendly prices added to the delight. Despite minimal staff, the service was impressively prompt. The crowd was predominantly international, a testament to its popularity among tourists. If you're looking for a great meal with a gorgeous view, look no further. Highly recommended! Five stars isn't enough - I'd give it ten stars if I could! Make sure to add it to your Udaipur itinerary.

I love love this place. I am a regular customer here and will continue to go until my stay in Udaipur. They serve fresh food and the drinks are amazing! I love their Lebanese platter, Hawaiian pizza and Oreo shake. The staff is super helpful and always ensures that you are happy with the food. Compared to a lot of restaurants around the lake, Little Prince gives more value for money and quality. Would definitely recommend to everyone visiting Udaipur.

An absolute quaint streetside cafe restaurant that belies the food that they serve there. Lip smacking good. Try the Lebanese platter and pizza as well. The food is well priced and the ambience is a cool breezy streetside feel on the lakeside kerb area. The hot lemon ginger tea is authentic and a good way to complete the meal
Khushroo S — Google review
Since it was recommended on lonely planet we happened to try this one. No wonder the homemade pizza was crisp & super fresh & tasted great while the Lebanese including falafel & hummus with salad was average. Although the person there only mentioned that their Lebanese is the best seller but I found it average. Taste wasn’t out of the world but pretty ok. Being in a tier 2 city with lake view & enjoying meal right beside the lake was a god experience. Can be tried once. Prices are also decent for the quality of food served. 👍🏼 Liquor is not severed

Superb views over the river and great food. You can watch the fish eagles swooping down to feed as you tuck in dinner. A very popular location for tourists and locals alike with good reason.

Don’t order butter chicken if you are from north Delhi because they didn’t do justice with that. Butter garlic naan was perfect. The dessert which was apple pie with vanilla ice cream was also good but was expensive. Overall we paid 2000 for the food which was just quite average tbh. It did filled our stomach but not our soul. The setting was open and the view was beautiful along with the service which was fast and polite. So all the marks go to that.

The only good thing about this place is that you cover a nice view of lake Pichola which you can get at tons of other places along the lake. I had gotten a pizza and a cold coffee. The pizza had way too much cheese and the coffee tasted odd. The waiter asked me to shift to another table for no reason even though the place was nearly empty. Please avoid this place

This place is an absolute gem! The food is simply amazing fresh and flavourful. I especially love the buffet-style serving, which makes it easy to try different dishes, and everything tastes delicious. The quality of the food is truly outstanding, especially considering how budget-friendly it is and the service is excellent. On top of that, the rooftop view overlooking the lake is absolutely beautiful, making the whole experience even more special. Yummy Yoga is definitely one of the best places to enjoy a wholesome and satisfying meal!

Visited Yummy Yoga Restaurant for lunch, and honestly, the food was beyond tasty - if there’s a word better than delicious, that’s what it was! We ordered the Rajasthani Thali, and I have to say, I’ve never had anything like that before. It took a little time to arrive (they mentioned they were preparing everything fresh, and we were the only lunch customers as they were busy renovating), but it was totally worth the wait. While waiting, we looked around and found they even have their own cooking classes, which already told us the food was going to be amazing. And it was - the thali had Gatte ki sabji, Pyaz ki sabji, Ker Sangri, Dal, Bajre ki roti, Makke ki roti, Rice, Papad, Salad, and Chaas - everything was perfectly spiced and full of flavour. We loved it so much that we went again the next day and tried the Punjabi Thali. It was good too, especially for those who prefer less spice, but I’m personally sticking to the Rajasthani one! Would love to visit again someday when I’m back in Udaipur. ❤️

Thinking where to eat in Udaipur -- Then this is the place. A great combo of great food with view of pichola lake and city palace. Ambience is too good and clutter free. Staff are very warm. Jain food was extremely well prepared. 10/10 for the traveller experience obtained.

🌟 Yummy Yoga Rooftop Restaurant – A Wonderful Experience! 🌟 My friend and I dined here, and the experience was truly memorable. The rooftop view of the lake is absolutely beautiful, and the atmosphere in the evening is calm and relaxing. The buffet, priced at ₹299, is very reasonably priced and offers a wide variety of delicious dishes. Each dish had its own unique flavor – especially the manchurian and Rajasthani Thali, which we really loved. Meeting Ganga Ji from the staff was a very nice experience. His humility and warmth truly touched our hearts. The rest of the staff was also very polite, helpful, and professional. The positive affirmation note we received with the bill was a special and lovely touch. 💯 If you're visiting Udaipur, Yummy Yoga is a must-visit. It's not just a place to eat, it's a beautiful experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended from the heart!

Was there for dinner yesterday. Had one buffet and a thali without any spices, oil or ghee. Food was tasty, service was a little slow as I am guessing we were there before the dinner time. They made the thali with out any spices, it was very tasty. Highly recommend the place.

Jheel’s Ginger Coffee Bar & Bakery is a charming cafe and bakery located on the picturesque banks of Lake Pichola in Udaipur. It offers a delightful experience of sipping coffee while enjoying the serene view of the lake. The menu includes an array of confectionaries, sandwiches, cakes, pizzas, toasts, and ice creams. With its authentic ambiance and delectable offerings, it has become a popular spot in town since its opening in 2011.
It is a really nice spot near Gangaur Ghat, just walking distance from the ghat. We went there for dinner and ordered pizza and garlic bread. The taste was really good and the quality was also better than expected. The best part is the atmosphere—very calm and peaceful, with a beautiful view of the ghat. It feels relaxing to sit there and enjoy your food. For the price, it’s totally worth it. It’s not too costly and gives a great experience. If you are in Udaipur, this is a must-try place for a good dinner with a view.

Totally loved it. The ginger coffee was super refreshing with that little kick, a perfect pick-me-up. The pesto sandwich, chef’s special omelette, and french toast are also really good. The place has this amazing lakeside view, and just sitting by the window with a cup of coffee, watching Lake Pichola, felt so calming. Cozy vibes, chill ambiance, and the staff were really sweet too. If you’re in town and want good food and coffee with a peaceful view, this spot is a must try.

Neelam Restaurant is a classical Indian eatery located just 150 meters from City Palace in Udaipur. The restaurant offers a simple ambiance with only four tables and a few chairs, but the food is described as amazingly lip-smacking and tasty. They serve fresh, pure vegetarian dishes made with pure ghee, including unlimited thali for individual consumption.
Me and my husband took the cooking class offered by them, the restaurant is own by a family so the wife is the cook and she also teaches the class. It cost us 800 rupees per person, you can choose if you want to go in the morning or in the afternoon we did it at 4pm so what we cooked was dinner for us, she uses bottle water for everything and her English is enough to communicate. We made seven different dishes and after class when you finish cooking you take pictures of all the recipes. We were happy and it's a cool experience highly recommend it!

Neelam Restaurant offers delicious homely food that hits the spot! We tried the Gatte ki sabji and Sev Tamatar ki sabji, and both were excellent. While the food was great, the service could use some improvement. Enjoying lunch with a lovely view from the top made the experience even better. They also offer cooking classes, which is a nice touch for those interested in learning. Overall, a nice place to dine!

I so enjoyed my dinner experience and cooking class at Neelam Restaurant. Neelam’s food is delicious and takes very clean. You can taste the fresh spices and vegetables in each dish. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a lunch or dinner dinning experience or a cooking class. The cooking class felt informative and helpful for me to be able to bring back Indian dishes to my home. We used bottled water for cooking and got recipes for the dishes afterwards. Plus the view from the rooftop is beautiful at sunset.

We had a very good experience at Neelam Restaurant in Udaipur. Although we were the only guests, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at ease. The food was authentic, home-cooked Indian cuisine — simple but incredibly tasty and freshly prepared with great care. We asked for the dishes to be made not too spicy, and they were seasoned perfectly while still full of flavor. Everything we tried was fresh, delicious, and easy to digest, which speaks to the quality of the ingredients. On top of that, the meal was very reasonably priced, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking for genuine local food at great value. We would highly recommend this little hidden gem to anyone visiting Udaipur.

Located in Udaipur, the Hello Boho Lakeview rooftop cafe offers a unique and inviting bohemian atmosphere. The rooftop setting provides breathtaking views of the city, making it an ideal spot to savor cold beverages and delicious dishes such as smoothies, pizzas, and shakes. This cozy cafe is adorned with authentic Bohemian decor and features a menu that includes continental and Indian cuisine, along with an assortment of coffees, shakes, and mocktails.
The interior of this cafe is very chic, every corner gives a proper cafe environment. Absolutely loved their Alfredo Pasta. Would surely recommend this cafe 100%. Can't wait for them to start serving beer & wine. Though unlike our regular cafe, this cafe doesn't have a menu. But they do have pasta, spaghetti, coffee & coolers, which ultimately works.

Cafe La Comida is a charming cafe located in the heart of Udaipur's old town, offering a variety of flavorful lunch and breakfast options that are hard to find elsewhere. The menu features an extensive selection of beverages and light bites. Visitors have praised the excellent coffee drinks and delicious food, with some recommending the Nutella/banana pancakes as a must-try.
Great breakfast food, we had bacon cheese omelette and fried eggs with chicken sausage. It was very yummy! The waitor was really friendly and I would highly recommend

I ordered Cafe latte, chicken sandwich and French toast with cheese and tomatoes. Everything was pretty good. It's in the midst of the old city so you can also watch people and see the market unwinding in the early hours. I only wish that the tables were taller for better accessibility.

Very friendly owner; good western coffee and delicious food. Very chill vibes here to escape the heat 😊
Jinee C — Google review
I stayed in Udaipur for 7 days and tried several cafes where the coffee was at best average. The coffee drinks from Cafe La Comida are excellent. Both the food and drinks options are fairly large for a cafe, but the food display rarely has more than a few choices. I had a brownie one time. The server put chocolate syrup on it. Personally I don’t like things that are too sweet, but otherwise the brownie tasted nice. I would agree with many reviewers in saying that Cafe La Comida serves the best coffee in Udaipur.

Viraasat-The Haveli is a popular spot in Udaipur known for its cleanliness and friendly staff. The restaurant offers a variety of options, including non-spicy dishes for those with sensitive stomachs. Visitors can enjoy delicious sweet and sour chicken in the cool ambiance, providing a welcome respite from the heat. The menu features delectable choices such as lal mass, chicken butter masala, rabodi ki sabji, and aloo jeera.
Places have the ability to create a particular type of expectation in one's mind. Like, the name of Udaipur generates an image loaded with grandeur and natural beauty. We start associating everything at that place with that image. This restaurant seems to be aware of it, and why not! It's 86 years old. So when you enter through a narrow passage, you are exposed to an artistically designed interior which is attractive blend of traditional and modern layout. The enclosed area is with AC and open area has a weather proof covering, so you can enjoy in both the settings. Especially, the outside area is well maintained and they ensure that mosquitoes and other bugs are at bay through necessary control. Staff is polite and they listen to requirements patiently and suggest as well, if needed. Arrangement of tables is clean and spacious. Quality of food is above average and scores big for me because it was a bit difficult for me to find out a restaurant at Udaipur which provides nice non-veg options without causing holes in the wallet. Yeah, the location is not up-front and car-parking wouldn't be possible. Good thing is that they have placed sign boards appropriately showing direction. Overall, it is a nice place to have good food in a creative set up and peacefully.

Rating it 1 because I have to give some rating. We found a hair in the egg curry that we ordered. Nothing, absolutely nothing should be compromised in front of hygiene. The staff has to get serious about basics about cooking hygiene.

I had the pleasure of dining at Viraasat-The Haveli, and it was a delightful experience that truly showcased the rich flavors of Rajasthani cuisine. The Gatta Curry was a standout dish, perfectly spiced and served with tender gram flour dumplings that melted in the mouth. The Bagre Ki Roti was another highlight, with its unique texture and flavor complementing the curry beautifully. We also ordered Sev Tomatoes, Buttermilk, Dal Tadka, Tandoori Butter, and Mancha Soup, which were all decent, but didn't quite reach the same heights as the Gatta Curry. The ambiance at Viraasat-The Haveli was warm and inviting, making it a great place for a leisurely lunch with friends. The service was attentive without being intrusive, which added to the overall positive experience. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy authentic Rajasthani cuisine in a welcoming setting. Overall, my lunch at Viraasat-The Haveli was a delightful journey through Rajasthani flavors, and I look forward to returning to try more of their dishes.

The atmosphere was truly impressive — it felt just like outdoor dining, with fresh air and natural lighting. The setup gave a cozy-yet-open feel. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a place with great ambiance and a refreshing change from the usual indoor dining spots. I recommend to visit during day so u can see the reasturant In it's natural way without any extra light

We had a pleasant time. Service person Mangu Singh was really good in taking care of us. Ambience is really good. Only thing to improvise is the Biriyani section, both veg and non-veg did not please us for some reason, in comparison to other food items that were ordered. We had to finish it somehow for not wasting the food. Still, not deducting the overall rating for this, may be others might like, not sure, i am sure this will be improved going ahead.
Jithin M — Google review
I along with my friends went there and the ambience and warmth received on our entrance was so gentle and filled with positive aura. Speaking of the taste, we tried aloo paratha with Buttermilk and it was actually a good. Lastly, the service from the staff, they have a positive attitude but still they can little improve the customer communication and then it would lead to best. We have visited the cafe around 4 to 5 o'clock. So it was just opening so might be that. Would definitely go again!!

Mavi Cafe is a delightful spot in Udaipur, conveniently located near the renowned Jagdish Temple. This charming cafe offers a menu that caters to vegan preferences, ensuring everyone can find something delicious to enjoy. Start your day with their scrumptious Nutella peanut butter banana crepe paired with a rich cappuccino for breakfast before heading to the temple. The ambiance inside Mavi is surprisingly tranquil despite its location on a bustling street, featuring cozy seating options including an inviting backroom adorned with low tables.
Amazing espresso made in a modern hand press espresso device. High quality coffee beans, professional grinder, and precise dosing and water temperature. As an espresso aficionado and expert I was very impressed. They also had oatmilk and the oat milk latte and an americano and both were divine. I will be back again and again. A “must” for those how take their espresso and espresso drinks seriously. Great music and friendly staff too. Sit in back for quiet or up front for a more people-watching-urban-feel. Edit (Jan 15) The smoothie bowls are especially delicious.

I have seen this cafe for quite sometime now but never thought of going in. Until a month ago, in my 'let's try something new' spree, I decided to visit. I went there 3-4 times (according to the time on google) but it is as never open. That's one downside to this cafe. On one of my lucky days, I found it open. The interior is very rustic, quiet and cozy. The paint is peeling off of walls but it adds to the charm. I ordered Lungo (coffee) and Hummus Sandwich and they both were very good. I love that they serve sourdough. There are plenty of games to pass the time, as well. Overall, a very good vibe and even better food.

One of the best breakfast spots in Udaipur, especially popular among foreigners! 🌍✨ The hummus pita is delicious and fresh, and the coffee is just perfect to start your day ☕🫓 Cozy ambiance, kind staff, and a peaceful vibe make it a must-visit! Highly recommend for a healthy and satisfying morning meal! 🌿🍴

A lot of people raved about the avocado toast, but for me the lettuce salad was hands down the best of the best!!! Even though I usually hate cucumber, this salad had cucumber in it and it was so good I couldn’t stop talking about it. The only downside is the irregular opening hours. I tried to go for breakfast and brunch twice, but it was closed even though Google said it was open. It’s a one-man café, so expect some wait time, but honestly, the quality never suffers. Worth it.

This is gem of a place in Udaipur. Serves vegan food but everything is so tasty and fresh. Unfortunately avacado wasn’t present at that time but we tried hummus and pita bread and a green sandwich and it was so so tasty. Even the abc juice was great. You must try out food here.
