Visited this much-hyped lakeside restaurant recently, and while the food truly lived up to its reputation, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. First off, getting a lakeside table took almost 40 minutes, far longer than expected. Once seated, the service was disappointingly slow. When we politely raised the concern, the staff mentioned they were tired as they had been working since morning. Honestly, for such a large and popular restaurant, proper shift management should be in place if that’s the reason they’re giving customers. Another downside to the lakeside seating is the insects, they’re constantly hovering around, and you really have to be cautious while eating. The quantity of food was also quite less for the price charged, which makes it feel slightly overpriced. That said, the taste was absolutely fantastic rich flavors, perfectly cooked dishes, and clearly made with skill. So if you’re visiting purely for the food, it’s worth a try. But if you’re expecting good service, quick turnaround, or a comfortable dining experience, you might walk away a bit disappointed. Go for the taste, but keep your expectations low for service and ambiance.

I had heard a lot of hype about this place, but honestly, I didn’t feel it was worth it. Maybe the owner isn’t paying enough attention to small details that really matter. Another good lakeside fine dining restaurant. This place is known for food, service, comfortable seating and for it's ambience. It does serve veg and non-veg food. We had positive experience. Service food and ambience was delightful. We didn't not prefer it's famous lakeside seating location as it was stinking. All other location were good. You get live music( tabla and flute). We ordered vegetarian food and it was of normal taste which you usually get in any fine dining Indian restaurant. Dishes price seems to be middle to upper range. Staff were very polite and helpful. Overall we had a positive experience.

For our meal, we ordered the Khamma Special Veg, a mix of palak (spinach), corn, and paneer. It was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. We also tried the mushroom curry, which was yummy but a bit on the oily side. Both dishes went perfectly with the Mirchi Laccha Tandoori Paratha, which was flaky and well-made. The only real downside was the wait time. Our food took about 45 minutes to arrive, so it’s something to keep in mind if you're in a hurry. However, the delicious food and unforgettable ambiance more than made up for it. While the food is incredibly tasty, be prepared for some rich, calorie-heavy dishes. Despite the wait and the rich food, Khamma Ghani is a place I'd highly recommend for its romantic vibe and amazing location.

Loved the authentic Rajasthani vibes at Khamma Ghani 💛 Tried dal baati and a few local dishes everything tasted delicious. The lakeside view adds to the charm. Best time to visit is around sunset to enjoy the golden view and cool breeze. It can get crowded on weekends, so be prepared to wait a little but it’s totally worth it. Highly recommended!

The service was quick and very courteous. The highlight of our meal was definitely the Laal Maas — rich, perfectly spiced, and cooked to perfection. The meat was tender and flavorful, easily one of the best versions I’ve had anywhere in Rajasthan. A must-visit place for authentic Rajasthani cuisine!

On our recent weekend getaway to Udaipur, we went to this picturesque restaurant at Udaipur. The restaurant serves great and tasty food which includes both Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian food! The restaurant is located near Lake Pichola and the pics we clicked there were Insta Worthy!! However, the service was questionable, the food we ordered was served to us nearly in 20 minutes delay, the staff looked untrained and every time you ask them a question regarding food or waiting time, the all looked clueless. Rest other we are fully satisfied!!

Millets of Mewar is a nice and cozy place with polite staff. It’s very close to City Palace, so it’s a convenient stop after sightseeing. We ordered Dal Baati and Pizza. They use organic and gluten-free ingredients, which is great if you like healthy food. But as a core Indian who loves strong spicy flavors, the Dal Baati didn’t have that traditional Rajasthani taste we were expecting. The pizza was good though, and we enjoyed it. We also tried watermelon juice, and it tasted pure — no extra sugars or artificial flavors. Overall, a good spot for clean and healthy eating, but don’t expect the usual spicy Rajasthani touch.

Best food, good staff and great ambiance. Located near lal ghat and next to city palace and Jagdish Temple. Good spot for photos too. The food was very tasty especially their millet khichdi and Millet bhel.

This place is one of the best you can find near City Palace, after a tiring session of long walks and taking pictures 😄 As evident from the name itself, try anything based on millets. I ordered pasta and millet veg biryani. Pasta had less vegetables than expected but millet biryani was unique and very tasty.

This place has an amazing view and ambience. Located at such a great point near the Ambrai ghat. You get an amazing view of the City Palace and the Taj Lake Palace from here. This place was also quite crowded. It's recommended that one pre-book their slot for the best experience. They charge 2000 per person as a cover charge if you have not booked your slot in advance and you want to experience sitting at the lakeside. The menu is vast, with plenty of options to explore, and their drink selection is equally impressive. I tried their pizzas and drinks and everything is so good. The service was top-notch. making for an overall great experience. Definitely a place worth visiting again and again.

We understand that Ambrai is extremely busy right now Udaipur is in peak wedding season, and popular restaurants being fully booked is absolutely expected. That was never the issue. The concern is the way we were spoken to today when we inquired about a table. The staff member’s tone was unexpectedly rude and dismissive, almost as though responding to us itself was a favor. There was no courtesy, no attempt to communicate politely just a very abrupt attitude. Even at places like Taj and Oberoi, where tables are booked out months in advance, the staff maintain warmth, respect, and basic hospitality. That is what creates lasting goodwill. Being busy is understandable; being discourteous is not. Ambrai has a beautiful location and a strong reputation, but experiences like this reflect poorly on the establishment. I sincerely hope the management looks into retraining the front-facing staff. Hospitality begins at the first interaction, not after a guest is seated.

We visited this place on Saturday, fortunately we get chance to have dinner here in Night. Almost all seating arrangements are besides lack so you can enjoy the dinner with amazing views. Almost everything we ordered was good, however it is slightly overpriced. It costs us around 5k for three people. Service was extremely poor, most of the time need to call staff 3 4 times for order and for each items each takes average 30 minutes.

Beautiful Atmosphere, But That’s Where It Ends The lakeside location and ambiance of this restaurant are undeniably beautiful – but sadly, that’s the only good thing about it. The food was overall disappointing. I ordered a sandwich for ₹475 – it was just tomato and cucumber, nothing else! Very small quantity, and it took half an hour just to serve that. Total waste of money. The pasta was the only item that tasted good, but again, the quantity was too less for the high price. The service was poor. Staff seemed untrained, had no knowledge of food preparation, and were not attentive at all. This place is clearly overhyped because of its location. There are many other restaurants around with similar views, but with much better food, service, and pricing. Overall – not worth the time or money. Definitely not recommended.

Visited this restaurant for lunch - it’s tucked inside narrow lanes, so best to go by your own vehicle since transport isn’t easily available from there. The place itself is pretty, with a nice location by the lake (though the lake water isn’t very clean). The staff was nice. We tried the biryani and pineapple raita - the food was okay-ish, nothing extraordinary, yet on the expensive side. Still, it’s a good spot to spend your evenings, relaxing by the lake and munching on some food while enjoying the view.

We planned a vacation in Udaipur for our anniversary, and I arranged a surprise dinner for the evening. While shortlisting restaurants online, I came across Tribute Restaurant. The menu looked good, and the location was absolutely beautiful. I found their contact number on Google and gave them a call to book a table. The staff was incredibly helpful with the table décor—exactly as I had shown them in the reference picture. Although we arrived 30 minutes late for our reservation, they still held our table and didn’t give it to anyone else. The staff was extremely polite and welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience—the food was delicious and reasonably priced, the service was top-notch, and the ambience was perfect for a special evening. I highly recommend Tribute Restaurant for anyone looking to celebrate something meaningful in Udaipur.

Just discovered this Udaipur gem, and I'm obsessed! The entrance is stunning, and the lakeside location is absolutely breathtaking. What's remarkable is that despite its proximity to the lake, the ambiance remains pristine and odor-free. The food is phenomenal - our spread of Indian Chinese, Lebanese, and Italian dishes was a culinary journey. Generous portions and wallet-friendly prices added to the delight. Despite minimal staff, the service was impressively prompt. The crowd was predominantly international, a testament to its popularity among tourists. If you're looking for a great meal with a gorgeous view, look no further. Highly recommended! Five stars isn't enough - I'd give it ten stars if I could! I love love this place. I am a regular customer here and will continue to go until my stay in Udaipur. They serve fresh food and the drinks are amazing! I love their Lebanese platter, Hawaiian pizza and Oreo shake. The staff is super helpful and always ensures that you are happy with the food. Compared to a lot of restaurants around the lake, Little Prince gives more value for money and quality. Would definitely recommend to everyone visiting Udaipur.

An absolute quaint streetside cafe restaurant that belies the food that they serve there. Lip smacking good. Try the Lebanese platter and pizza as well. Since it was recommended on lonely planet we happened to try this one. No wonder the homemade pizza was crisp & super fresh & tasted great while the Lebanese including falafel & hummus with salad was average. Although the person there only mentioned that their Lebanese is the best seller but I found it average. Taste wasn’t out of the world but pretty ok. Being in a tier 2 city with lake view & enjoying meal right beside the lake was a god experience. Can be tried once. Prices are also decent for the quality of food served. 👍🏼 Liquor is not severed

Don’t order butter chicken if you are from north Delhi because they didn’t do justice with that. Butter garlic naan was perfect. The dessert which was apple pie with vanilla ice cream was also good but was expensive. Overall we paid 2000 for the food which was just quite average tbh. It did filled our stomach but not our soul. The setting was open and the view was beautiful along with the service which was fast and polite. So all the marks go to that.

The only good thing about this place is that you cover a nice view of lake Pichola which you can get at tons of other places along the lake. I had gotten a pizza and a cold coffee. The pizza had way too much cheese and the coffee tasted odd. The waiter asked me to shift to another table for no reason even though the place was nearly empty. Please avoid this place

This place is an absolute gem! The food is simply amazing fresh and flavourful. I especially love the buffet-style serving, which makes it easy to try different dishes, and everything tastes delicious. The quality of the food is truly outstanding, especially considering how budget-friendly it is and the service is excellent. On top of that, the rooftop view overlooking the lake is absolutely beautiful, making the whole experience even more special. Yummy Yoga is definitely one of the best places to enjoy a wholesome and satisfying meal!

Visited Yummy Yoga Restaurant for lunch, and honestly, the food was beyond tasty - if there’s a word better than delicious, that’s what it was! We ordered the Rajasthani Thali, and I have to say, I’ve never had anything like that before. It took a little time to arrive (they mentioned they were preparing everything fresh, and we were the only lunch customers as they were busy renovating), but it was totally worth the wait. While waiting, we looked around and found they even have their own cooking classes, which already told us the food was going to be amazing. And it was - the thali had Gatte ki sabji, Pyaz ki sabji, Ker Sangri, Dal, Bajre ki roti, Makke ki roti, Rice, Papad, Salad, and Chaas - everything was perfectly spiced and full of flavour. We loved it so much that we went again the next day and tried the Punjabi Thali. It was good too, especially for those who prefer less spice, but I’m personally sticking to the Rajasthani one! Would love to visit again someday when I’m back in Udaipur. ❤️

Thinking where to eat in Udaipur -- Then this is the place. A great combo of great food with view of pichola lake and city palace. Ambience is too good and clutter free. Staff are very warm. Jain food was extremely well prepared. 10/10 for the traveller experience obtained.

Was there for dinner yesterday. Had one buffet and a thali without any spices, oil or ghee. Food was tasty, service was a little slow as I am guessing we were there before the dinner time. They made the thali with out any spices, it was very tasty. Highly recommend the place.

Neelam Restaurant offers delicious homely food that hits the spot! We tried the Gatte ki sabji and Sev Tamatar ki sabji, and both were excellent. While the food was great, the service could use some improvement. Enjoying lunch with a lovely view from the top made the experience even better. I so enjoyed my dinner experience and cooking class at Neelam Restaurant. Neelam’s food is delicious and takes very clean. You can taste the fresh spices and vegetables in each dish. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a lunch or dinner dinning experience or a cooking class. The cooking class felt informative and helpful for me to be able to bring back Indian dishes to my home. We used bottled water for cooking and got recipes for the dishes afterwards. Plus the view from the rooftop is beautiful at sunset.

It was really nice experience, the host are really nice and friendly, Plus the ambience, vibe and people are really amazing, also the food is really great and staff and service is amazing. I recently went there on 8th oct'25 for three days and honestly this was the best aesthetic cafe i ever seen in udaipur like the retro vibe and low light theme is so lovely and the view from there is more lovely, mountains, lake, sunset etc. Loved it💗

I ordered Cafe latte, chicken sandwich and French toast with cheese and tomatoes. Everything was pretty good. It's in the midst of the old city so you can also watch people and see the market unwinding in the early hours. I only wish that the tables were taller for better accessibility.

I stayed in Udaipur for 7 days and tried several cafes where the coffee was at best average. The coffee drinks from Cafe La Comida are excellent. Both the food and drinks options are fairly large for a cafe, but the food display rarely has more than a few choices. I had a brownie one time. The server put chocolate syrup on it. Personally I don’t like things that are too sweet, but otherwise the brownie tasted nice. I would agree with many reviewers in saying that Cafe La Comida serves the best coffee in Udaipur.

Beautiful cafe. Oreo shake and cold coffee was very good. Great for a quick refreshing drink while exploring Old city.

For the tourist who like more western food for a change, this is the place 🙏. Very good service, nice meals and good coffee!! Very happy with the Nutella/banana pancakes.

Rating it 1 because I have to give some rating. We found a hair in the egg curry that we ordered. Nothing, absolutely nothing should be compromised in front of hygiene. The staff has to get serious about basics about cooking hygiene.

It was a great experience and pleasure for me to stay for lunch here. The food and service were excellent. I also met the restaurant’s manager and we had a very interesting conversation about India, Europe, the world and even about Indian contribution to NASA rover missions on planet Mars. The Gatta Curry was a standout dish, perfectly spiced and served with tender gram flour dumplings that melted in the mouth. The Bagre Ki Roti was another highlight, with its unique texture and flavor complementing the curry beautifully. We also ordered Sev Tomatoes, Buttermilk, Dal Tadka, Tandoori Butter, and Mancha Soup, which were all decent, but didn't quite reach the same heights as the Gatta Curry. The ambiance at Viraasat-The Haveli was warm and inviting, making it a great place for a leisurely lunch with friends. The service was attentive without being intrusive, which added to the overall positive experience. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy authentic Rajasthani cuisine in a welcoming setting. We had a pleasant time. Service person Mangu Singh was really good in taking care of us. Ambience is really good. Only thing to improvise is the Biriyani section, both veg and non-veg did not please us for some reason, in comparison to other food items that were ordered. We had to finish it somehow for not wasting the food. Still, not deducting the overall rating for this, may be others might like, not sure, i am sure this will be improved going ahead.

I along with my friends went there and the ambience and warmth received on our entrance was so gentle and filled with positive aura. Speaking of the taste, we tried aloo paratha with Buttermilk and it was actually a good. Lastly, the service from the staff, they have a positive attitude but still they can little improve the customer communication and then it would lead to best. We have visited the cafe around 4 to 5 o'clock. So it was just opening so might be that. Would definitely go again!!

I have seen this cafe for quite sometime now but never thought of going in. Until a month ago, in my 'let's try something new' spree, I decided to visit. I went there 3-4 times (according to the time on google) but it is as never open. That's one downside to this cafe. On one of my lucky days, I found it open. The interior is very rustic, quiet and cozy. The paint is peeling off of walls but it adds to the charm. I ordered Lungo (coffee) and Hummus Sandwich and they both were very good. I love that they serve sourdough. There are plenty of games to pass the time, as well. Overall, a very good vibe and even better food.

I had a mango banana smoothie bowl, avocado toast vegan and cappuccino with soy milk. Everything was good, amazing atmosphere, def recommend to try it out. They don't have non-veg options tho.

A lot of people raved about the avocado toast, but for me the lettuce salad was hands down the best of the best!!! Even though I usually hate cucumber, this salad had cucumber in it and it was so good I couldn’t stop talking about it. The only downside is the irregular opening hours. I tried to go for breakfast and brunch twice, but it was closed even though Google said it was open. It’s a one-man café, so expect some wait time, but honestly, the quality never suffers. Worth it.

This is gem of a place in Udaipur. Serves vegan food but everything is so tasty and fresh. Unfortunately avacado wasn’t present at that time but we tried hummus and pita bread and a green sandwich and it was so so tasty. Even the abc juice was great. You must try out food here.

Food is really delicious and different. They make fresh breads and have authentic sandwich no where near mayo and synthesised products. Really love the place and food
