Restaurante Zelai Txiki offers a modern twist on traditional dishes, set in a picturesque location overlooking San Sebastian. The restaurant prides itself on self-sufficiency, sourcing vegetables from its own garden and crafting homemade charcuterie. With a focus on local produce, the menu features creative touches such as tomato ice cream paired with squid and spherified citrus juices enhancing the flavors of lobster.
On a quiet residential district, up on a hill. Quaint place but pretty good food! Compared to our previous night of 3* Michelin, this one is actually even better. My husband’s order of suckling pig is generous and really yummy. Overall a great satisfying meal.
Alice H — Google review
Enjoyed a lovely lunch on the terrace of this stylish hillside restaurant with a Michelin Green Star and a Repsol sun. The quality of all the food was excellent and the portion sizes were generous. Ordered the fish soup and croquettes and received a mushroom starter on the house. Particularly impressed with the delicate green salad that we ordered to accompany our mains. The service was very good as well. No problem with packing in the restaurant car park.
Robert L — Google review
Lovely restaurant and good food. Had so many great meals in San Sebastian which is why this didn't stand out for me. I had the Tuna taco which did not come with a taco but rather in a lovely bowl with a broth/sauce. Nice but lacked flavour
Cathy W — Google review
Fine dining at its best. A good varied menu. Lobster, prawns, wild pigeon, suckling pig all cooked and presented with passion.
David G — Google review
visited due to the green Michelin star. the four of us spent ~300€ on food and drinks had various starters, mains and dessert. the restaurant uses good quality ingredients, but the execution is mediocre at best problems: - one starter was the grilled octopus, the tentacles were full of sand. - the foie gras was OK, but it was nothing special, supermarket bought delivers the same experience; the dressing was tasting better, but that's not what one would order that dish for. - hake was fresh and good quality the dish itself was absolutely basic, swimming in the green sauce, aka fat, and it didnt have much of a taste. - the spider crab is not worth it at all, stew/lasagna like dish tasting a bit lke crab - pigeon: the well done version was actually really good, although it was "rose". the regular one was basically blue. - desserts: we had to order the french toast in advance. despite that, it was not properly prepared, it was way too wet, and the "curd"/ crust was way too sweet - service: we got the bread refilled all the time, and the dishes were served at the same time, also warm, but basically that's it, so delivered the absolute minimum one would expect. at this price range this restaurant simply cannot provide the experience one would expect, hence would not recommended. better tasting food costing half or 2/3 of the price tastes much better in the city. the ingredients were actually good, but it would be time this restaurant learns how to use them.
David P — Google review
Food was fine, but the second we sat down someone walked immediately up to ask what we wanted to order. We had just the menus in hand. Not even 5 minutes after, they asked again Then for the whole evening they were pushing us to order faster for everything. At the entrees, asking if we already decided what we wanted for dessert. They asked us this 4 times before we even had our main course! Pushing and telling us that they were closing the kitchen. This was around 22:00, in the menu it says clearly that the kitchen is open past 00:00. Before even ordering dessert, they asked us if they could already order a taxi for us. Felt very unwanted here. Hospitality level is the lowest as can be. Not your moneys worth!! Also they have a weird obsession with sorbet ice cream, it’s with every entree
Senna — Google review
We visited these restaurants because of the green star. A restaurant with a beautiful terrace and a view, plus bread with a wonderfully crispy crust, but the quality of the dishes is simply too ordinary, without proper seasoning, without depth of flavor. We poured wine and water ourselves, so the service didn't help either. We were a bit surprised by this lack of good taste, because from the outside it looked like a professional kitchen. Maybe it was a bad day and someone forgot to try the dishes served, but this is not a place I can recommend.
Iwona N — Google review
Honestly, for the price and the Michelin green star hype, I was very disappointed with our dining experience here. I usually love green-star spots, so I brought my parents and husband here instead of booking one of the actual Michelin-star spots — and we very much regretted it. We’ve had better meals at regular, non-Michelin, hole-in-the-wall spots on our Spain trip. It all started very well with a friendly greeting, seating on a beautiful veranda, a great wine recommendation at a reasonable price, and beautiful food presentation. It went downhill pretty fast though. The sommelier completely disappeared on us at one point, with us sitting with empty wine glasses for 15+ minutes (and he didn’t even finish pouring my glass after I tasted the wine, much less refilled any glasses). The rest of the staff disappeared as the rest of our meal went on, too. Someone took the dessert order “for the table” — but only wrote 2 of 4 down, so half the table got dessert much later — after we managed to even hail someone down to say this. The food was overall nicely presented — but very hit-or-miss on flavor. Cool ideas for unique ice cream flavors on several of the apps — but no spice, salt, or flavor on the lobster carpaccio. Seems like not even salt or pepper on the squid “pasta.” Somewhat dry and under-seasoned lamb, definitely dry and under-seasoned tuna steak (taco), and only the pigeon feeling like it was there in flavor (albeit almost completely raw).

Rekondo is a romantic restaurant nestled in Igueldo Mountain, offering stunning views of the bay of La Concha. It specializes in serving upscale Basque cuisine, featuring traditional dishes like Txangurro a la Donostiarra and Chipirones en su tinta. The restaurant boasts one of the world's most esteemed wine cellars, meticulously curated by owner Txomin Rekondio, and offers an extensive selection of wines from over 20 countries.
We were so fortunate to dine at the premiere restaurant in San Sebastian! The appetizers and service were absolutely incredible. The wine and entrees were astounding! I had the Venison and it is now clear that this is the best I have ever had. We also received a tour of the wine cellar which boggled my mind with the magnitude of the collection. We all reeled from this experience in every way!
Greg K — Google review
An unforgettable experience! This restaurant has the best winery I have ever seen in any restaurant worldwide – truly breathtaking. The quality of the food is beyond amazing: the ravioli de morcilla was rich and perfectly balanced, the carpaccio was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the txangurro (spider crab) was simply sublime. To finish, the apple tart paired with their typical dessert was absolutely spectacular. The wine list is nothing short of impressive, offering an incredible selection that perfectly complements the dishes. A must-visit for anyone looking for world-class cuisine and an extraordinary wine experience.
Carolina G — Google review
Fantastic place, sitting on the terrace under enormous trees, and they have one of Europes largest wine cellars and collection of wines. The food we were presented was fantastic, good flavors, nicely served, accompanied by amazing wine. It is however expensive compared to many of the restaurants and the sizes of dishes.
Roar G — Google review
Absolutely delicious. The portions are incredibly generous for their size and the quality of the ingredients. Service was fantastic. The terrace is lovely. Recs - black pudding ravioli with truffle, baked crab, rice with clams.
Michael S — Google review
Walked into Rekondo feeling underdressed — left feeling underwhelmed. The place is gorgeous and the service was spot-on, but the food? A plot twist we didn’t see coming. The prawn carpaccio had less flavor than plain ice, the grilled artichokes were so bad we actually sent them back (a first for us), and the much-hyped baked crab looked great in its shell… and tasted like nothing. For these prices, we expected fireworks — we got a fizzle.
Roee T — Google review
Fabulous dinner.., Rekondo can compete with any restaurant in the world. Fabulous service, extraordinary food, excellent wine list and cellar. Great ambiance. The owner, Lourdes, even came by for feedback. Very gracious,

It was the best meal so far of our holiday, the chef is amazing..so wonderful to try things we haven’t ever tried before and loving everything. Service was exceptional, the details from the plates to the bread and butter 😜. Feel very lucky to have got a table. 😁highly recommend, if you love good food❤️

Just don’t see what all the fuss is about - some of the food was good, some was fine, all of it was expensive and the vibes were not good. Service was occasionally excellent and sometimes unbearably slow. Overall wouldn't recommend.

Kokotxa Jatetxea is a charming restaurant located in the heart of San Sebastian's old town, offering adventurous Basque cuisine with a focus on seafood. The restaurant, named after one of the region's finest dishes, is led by chef Daniel Lopez and front-of-house Estela Velasco. Their modern take on Basque traditions incorporates the best market ingredients and subtle influences from other cultures such as Japan, India, and Turkey.
My wife and I came here for lunch while on vacation in San Sebastian. We had the market menu, which included several courses. I can say without reservation that this was the most satisfying meal I have ever eaten. The courses were varied, and each was delicious. My favorites were probably the tuna steak (not pictured), the Iberian pork shoulder, and the main dessert course (not pictured). The staff were both efficient and very knowledgeable and helpful. The atmosphere was also pleasant. I was expecting the food to be good, but I was not prepared for how much I would enjoy the overall experience. I hope that I can come back someday.
David C — Google review
Absolutely wonderful! We came for lunch and had the Market menu without the wine option - although that looked really worthwhile! The somm seemed very hands-on. The staff was excellent and worked in their small space honestly like a ballet. I was pregnant at the time and they listened and substituted menu items with ease to accommodate me. The food was inventive and delicious. I highly recommend!

A Jigsaw Falling Perfectly into Place: An Unforgettable Lunch at Kokotxa Some meals are simply pleasant. Others are memorable. And then, on the rarest of occasions, a lunch comes along that feels like a masterpiece being assembled before your eyes, where every element from the setting, the service, the sequence of flavours, clicked into place. Our meal yesterday at Kokotxa in Donostia was precisely that: an exquisite experience and, without doubt, one of the nicest meals we have ever had. Perched just above the sands of La Concha bay, Kokotxa offers more than a view; it provides a prologue. The serene vista of the Cantabrian Sea sets the stage for a culinary journey that is deeply rooted in the Basque Country yet speaks a universally elegant language. It’s a Michelin-starred establishment that wears its accolade lightly, focusing not on pomp but on profound pleasure. From the moment we were welcomed, the service was impeccable, a flawless choreography of warmth and professionalism. The staff moved with an intuitive grace, without intrusion, and explaining each course with a genuine passion and knowledge, guiding us through the tasting menu, ensuring every detail was perfect. Lunch at Kokotxa is more than a meal; It’s the feeling of a complex and beautiful jigsaw puzzle falling into place (you can tell I love Radiohead) leaving you with a complete picture of great food and service. We loved it and would highly recommend a visit. Stephen & Bren Parkins-Knight 💝
Stephen P — Google review
Outstanding. We visited as a group of four and did the tasting menu. The service was top tier, the food exceeded expectations and the sommelier took his time to find wines that worked with our tastes as a group. An all round wonderful experience.
Katie V — Google review
Had a wonderful afternoon meal here. The food was beautiful and the staff and service were amazing. We opted for the Market Menu and every dish was stunning. The Iberian pork shoulder was as just unbelievable.
Noel C — Google review
Great food, great staff, had a really lovely lunch. We took on the market menu rather than the tasting menu, but it was more than enough, a super experience. The French sommelier is very knowledgeable, listen to him! Highly recommend a visit.
Greg R — Google review
Delicious tasting-menu meal. We got the Market Menu and were worried it wouldn't be enough food to fill us but we were stuffed leaving. Every dish was a delight. The wine was lovely and the staff were attentive, and chatty. A gem we will return to.
Cormac C — Google review
Our experience here was very disappointing. Overall, the food was pretty good, though not as outstanding as we were expecting having done a few Michelin starred dinners in the past. The crab and lamb were two of our favorite dishes, really standing out from the rest. We took the market menu, and while all of the dishes were good, some were forgettable. What was perhaps the most disappointing part of the experience however was the service. I’ve never experienced such lackluster service at such a nice restaurant before. The atmosphere was okay, but the staff looked so annoyed to even be there and to be talking to us. They forgot to explain some of the dishes, and when they did it was with such a lack of clarity and excitement that we either weren’t sure what we were eating or the waiter had made it sound plain and boring. The sommelier appeared to be the only one passionate about his work, and we could tell he was doing a great job with the other tables (we did not do the wine pairing). But the service for the rest was really a disappointment. I would definitely not go back and choose from one of the many other Michelin establishments in the area.

Visitors can enjoy fixed-price menus including the menu del dia during weekdays and special weekend menus starting on Friday evenings. The cozy venue is highly valued for its warm service and specializes in serving high-quality traditional Basque cuisine.
Unassuming restaurant in the basement in the gros side of town. Friendly and helpful service. The fresh cheese salad is really good. The fish and steak were cooked perfectly. The torrija was outstanding. Definitely recommend checking this place out. We will be back.

This was an amazing restaurant! The sommelier was so friendly and helpful, the food was fantastic, and the ambiance was warm and welcoming. The definitely deserve their spot on the Michelin guide and potentially even deserve a star. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting San Sebastian.

It is the best meal we’ve had in San Sebastian. The food was amazing and the service was perfect. Overall an impeccable dining experience. Would definitely come back next time!

I managed to snag a reservation last minute from what I’m assuming was a cancellation. This was one of the best meals we had in San Sebastián. We shared the tiger prawns and then had the ribeye and monkfish for mains. We ordered a side of grilled veggies with the mains as well. Everything was so fresh and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes were excellent. The other photos on Google make the servings seem quite small and fancy but that was not our experience. For dessert we had the caramelized French toast, which was possibly the best dessert we had on this trip. I almost wanted to order a second portion. We left the meal very satisfied and happy. I would definitely return

PRO'S: Restaurant Ikaitz jatetxea deserves it's Michelin Basque Traditional designation 2022-2025. Our group of four had excellent sliced tomatoes, beef carpacchio, cheese salad with nuts & green, grilled mixed vegetables with grilled pork, grilled duck & seared tuna, with a red wine & white wine, all delicious. The dessert was okay. CON'S: The restaurant was one floor below ground and hard to find from the street. SUMMARY: Restaurant Ikaitz jatetxea is a splendid place worth visiting for an excellent meal.

Nice downstairs restaurant with very good food. We tried food off both the daily menu and the a la carte menu and the food was all presented beautifully. The daily menu is terrific value, but it's definitely worth spending a bit more on the a la carte if you want something that goes 'off piste' a little

Maiatza is a must-visit spot in the Old Town of Donostia San Sebastian, offering a 100% vegetarian menu that caters to vegans as well. This charming eatery is open all day, making it an ideal choice for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu features a delightful array of vegan and vegetarian options, including Spanish ham on toast, carrot cake, sweet pastries, and fresh juice.
Amazing cheese, lovely coffee and nice terrace outside. They were quick, friendly staff. I would highly recommend. The traditional cheese cake is my favorite but if you can, it is worth to try pistachio as well.

We came here for breakfast — everything looked beautiful and nicely presented. My vegan sandwich was tasty and well-balanced. However, my friend’s salmon and egg dish was overly salty. Unfortunately, both the coffee and the tea latte were very watery and lacked flavor, and the same goes for the smoothie — it tasted bland and diluted.
Eugenia T — Google review
Had brunch at Maiatza and ordered the croque madame, a special toast with bacon, and fresh juice. Everything was fine, but nothing really stood out in terms of flavor or presentation. An acceptable option if you’re nearby, but not a must-visit.

It was our first dinner in Donostia/San Sebastian. We had amazing food experience. We took lobster salad and beef with foie gras. Our kids took shrimps and hake. Everything was delicious. Service was extremely friendly. I was very surprised as we were only guest that day. Restaurant is quite expensive
Tadeusz W — Google review
The food was good. We did the menu tasting of 69 euro per person and added the wine pairing with it, which was unfortunately a bad choice. We got two very medium wines brought to the table and that’s it. For a restaurant like this I expect a more elegant wine, which in this area of Spain shouldn’t be difficult since all the wines we had these days in San Sebastián (without asking special wines) were outstanding! I’ll add pics of the bottles we got, so you can avoid making the same mistake.
Robin B — Google review
Fantastic dining experience! We reserved through The Fork and enjoyed the Menú Kubos degustation at €69—every course was exquisite, leaving us completely satisfied. Highly recommend this spot. The only thing—I left my shirt on the chair, and by the time I returned, the restaurant had already closed. Hoping the management can assist with this little issue!

Nice choice of fish and meats. You have to ask for the weekdays € 35 menu if they only give you the menu with the € 55 and € 75 options (cheeky!). Good wines, nice staff. Horrible art on the walls. Good food.

What a delightful experience! My parents and I had a pleasant time here and loved every bite. Would definitely recommend to others!
Celine F — Google review
Disappointing Experience at Urepel Jatetxea We found the setting dated and worn—what might have been charming felt neglected. The food was bland and overpriced, and service was so fast it seemed everything had been pre-prepared. The broken toilet added to the letdown. In a city known for its cuisine, this was underwhelming
Jana C — Google review
Wow, amazing. The restaurant is superb, the owner lovely. Food very high quality, top wine list and service. I love it, you have to try
Lucrezia Z — Google review
We went to Urepel multiple times during our stay in San Sebastián. Food was excellent and service very attentive and discreet. All items on the menu seemed to be in season and used fresh and high quality ingredients. It is also a fairly cozy place and good for couples who seek a pleasant dinner in quiet, welcoming place. We did try Michelin starred restaurants in San Sebastián and other cities during our trip but this place was best for both value for the money and ambiance. We will definitely visit again when we travel to Northern Spain.

Enxalao brunch, coffee & bowls is a narrow counter-serve cafe in San Sebastian that offers health-conscious smoothies, breakfast, salad bowls, and coffee. Despite its initial appearance as just a brunch spot, it also attracts people looking to work on their computers. The vibe is bustling but still enjoyable with options like pintxos and fast wifi. It's conveniently located for those heading to Zurriola Beach for lunch.
We did a surfing course from next door and naturally went to this pretty cafe before and afterwards for coffee and a delicious bowl. Each time was a great experience. It’s a small cafe offering some brunch, coffee and smoothies - everything was delicious and fresh! I had the enxalao gourmet bowl with truffle and it was really good! The rice was a bit mushy but I have incredibly high standards regarding rice but everything else was really delicious. The staff is also super friendly and attentive - def recommend coming here!
Milly D — Google review
This place is a great little spot! We ordered an açai bowl and a yoghurt bowl (with strawberries, blueberries and banana), and two smoothies. These are perfect if you just fancy something smaller / lighter. The granola in the yoghurt bowl had chocolatey chunks in, and the granola in the yoghurt bowl had lovely clusters. I would definitely come back to this spot and try the salads, they looked amazing!
Danielle D — Google review
Great place for lunch, brunch or coffee! Great menu particularly if you want something healthy! Also great coffee. Staff super friendly and helpful!
Eliza L — Google review
Really was looking forward for a healthy lunch. One of the servers was not friendly at all, had to wait a long time to order while it wasn't busy at all. The salad was good but too much dressing for a healthy salad. It wasn't bad but expected more from this place.
Anjuli — Google review
While in San Sebastián, we wanted to grab a healthy breakfast. We came across Enxalao, a nice little spot just 1 block from the beach. They had both indoor and outdoor seating. Great selection of healthy breakfast foods and coffee. They also had a good smoothie selection. We went with the Vitamin C one, very refreshing. I had the salmon cream cheese toast, which had perhaps the best smoked salmon you will ever eat. Great spot, I highly recommend.
Robin M — Google review
The Lady at the counter was very polite. The waitress was probably the rudest I‘ve ever had in a restaurant. She didn‘t say anything and just threw the dishes at the table, without asking who they‘re for. The Poke Bowl was very good. I can‘t reccomend the Egg‘s Benedict though.
Mika S — Google review
Although please seems nice and hip, unfortunately the food quality is very low. Ingredients are not really fresh, bowl was just swimming in cheap supermarket teriyaki souce, bread was dry, there was only one egg in the tost.. meh… for this price is really disappointing.
Sylwia G — Google review
Very tasty vegan food is also available. Tried the Vegan Kebab, and I absolutely recommend it! Prices are affordable, compared to city prices. Chill ambient. Staff was also very kind. Free wifi.

Vegan restaurant
Mapa Verde is a vegan restaurant in San Sebastian with Mediterranean, Spanish flavors. The food is healthy and fresh with a great selection of pastas and dips. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the restaurant has an outdoor seating area.
This place was great! Reservations are recommended. I arrived immediately when they opened and thankfully they were able to accommodate a solo party. Spanish is preferred obviously but English works as well. Manners cost nothing, patience is attractive, and the food was amazingly good for vegetarian fare in a meat dominant country. Plus who doesn't enjoy a space filled with photos of dogs!! In a cool neighborhood as well.
Teresa S — Google review
We had high hopes for this place and drove all the way to San Sebastián to try it. The food did not disappoint — the Mapa Verde plate was absolutely delicious and a highlight of our visit. However, the experience as a whole was sadly overshadowed by how we were treated upon arrival. Despite the restaurant being half empty, my fiancé was turned away at the door simply because we had a pram. The reason given was that there wasn’t enough space, yet no effort was made to find a solution. I decided to go in myself and ask the waitress if we could work something out. Unfortunately, she was very dismissive and insisted that all the tables with space for a pram were reserved, making no effort to accommodate us or offer alternatives. I eventually spotted a table next to another with just one guest and asked him if he’d mind the pram being next to him — he kindly said not at all. So we seated ourselves. No one else was inconvenienced during the entire hour we were there, which makes the initial refusal even more disappointing. Adding to the discomfort, we had our dog with us and there was no water offered — the only bowl outside was in the direct sun, and the water was too hot for any animal to safely drink. As a vegan restaurant, I had expected a welcoming and compassionate atmosphere, not only in the food but in the service and general treatment of all beings — people, children, and animals included. Sadly, that was not our experience. Please, be more thoughtful in the future. Good food should be paired with good-hearted service
Tamara M — Google review
Wow, wow, wow. Everything here was so delicious, so unique and so fun! My faves were the tempeh salad and the vegan burrata, but honestly, everything was incredibly. Highly recommend to vegans (and non vegans!) visiting San Sebastian. Also, remember to book - it's a very popular place and we actually got turned away for one lunch as they were full!
Jared H — Google review
Fantastic and healthy food. Our family of four went here twice for lunch and it was fantastic. Everything was delicious and seasoned to perfection. And it was very vegetable forward, which is sometimes hard to find in vegan restaurants. Highly recommend!
John B — Google review
We were lucky enough to get the last table without a reservation. The service was great and the food was really yummy! Prices okay too for the city. Tons of options to choose from, none seem to be a wrong choice. After a recommendation from the waitress, I choose the falafel salad bowl which was really good! The desert choices all seemed nice, the tiramisu was the best of the options we tried. Highly recommended and if you want to be certain of a table, make a reservation :)
Tanja S — Google review
i arrived alone on a saturday around 2:30. place was full. very calm ambiance but full. reservations are preferred. they said since i was just one person, they’d try to fit me in. within 3 minutes i was seated. i ordered the menu del día. it was delicious! the BEST MEAL I’VE HAD IN MY TWO WEEKS IN SPAIN! also loved all the photos of adoptable dogs on the walls. my meal was €17. i said €20-30 because i didn’t order a drink, just tap water - which came with a small pitcher of (free) water.

Tough choice as there were many great vegan options in San Sebastián but Mapa Verde was probably the best. Between the 4 of us we got half the menu and everything tasted amazing. Thank you.

Vegetarian restaurant
Orburu is a vegetarian restaurant in Donostia that offers a laid-back and approachable fine dining experience. The seasonal menu features complex yet accessible flavors, impressing both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. The carefully selected ingredients result in fragrant dishes that are a pure taste explosion, all at an affordable price for the fresh quality. The rustic cellar vault with wooden tables creates a pleasant atmosphere complemented by soft jazz music, making it an authentic Basque experience.
Highly recommend, especially if you want to try some vegetarian options! We discovered this gem on one of our evening walks and came back the 2nd day for lunch. We did not have a reservation but we were welcomed and offered a table, which was a very kind act because the restaurant was fully booked for the day. The food is delicious, bold flavours that pair together very well. We couldn’t decide if we liked more the carrots with baba ganoush or the giant beans with the artichokes that were equally tasty. What I appreciated was the good quality ingredients, the combination of flavours and the overall feel of being “at home”, enjoying honest food. We ordered the desserts and ended up sharing them because they were so good! If you are in San Sebastián try this wonderful place, off the beaten track and maybe try to reserve a table first to avoid any disappointment 😉
Teodora M — Google review
We ordered three vegan main dishes (roasted carrots, fried eggplants and green beans) for two people. They were delicious and the combinations between vegetables and creams were always great. The waiter was professional, patient and kind. The location is underground. It looks like a cozy cave. The place fills up very quickly. Reservation suggested.

Just had a fantastic meal in Orburu, after a few great months travelling around Spain it was lovely to have a vegetarian menu. Everything was so tasty and different. Highly recommend this restaurant, wine and service
Gerry O — Google review
One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. I’m not even vegetarian, but the flavors and atmosphere were absolutely unmatched. It’s a small, tucked-away place with the sweetest, calmest owners. Don’t miss the chance to try it! It’s a small place so if you can, make a reservation or arrive early.

Amazing vegetarian food! Perfect to go for lunch, they open at 13:00. A good selection of vegetarian dishes that taste delicious! Warmly recommend!
Oliver L — Google review
Intimate basement restaurant easily overlooked, located down a side alley a few hundred yards from the beach, but so worth seeking out. Tasty and beautifully cooked and presented dishes. Booking ahead is essential.
Patrick S — Google review
Perfect sanctuary from the hustle, bustle, meat and fish of the pintxos bars. The chef has fantastic pedigree at top veggie restaurants in Ireland & England, and now works his magic here. Dishes are listed and served in order of light to heavy (yet nothing is actually heavy). Imaginative, beautifully presented, extremely tasty, and very well priced. Fantastic cosy setting and atmosphere, with one waitress efficiently working the approx 20 covers. A delightful all round experience.

Incredible place, a must if you're visiting Donostia. The waiter was very friendly and patient. We learnt few words in Euskara which we loved. A great spot for vegetarian has it's hard to find places that have options – but plenty here! Our food was really tasty. Eskerrik asko eta laster arte!

GRONX Zurriola is a unique fusion of the local surfer neighborhood Gros and the dynamic New York quarter Bronx, reflected in both its name and menu. The restaurant offers unusual and delicious dishes such as cod from the Bay of Biscay breaded with Basque potatoes and premium Basque chicken Lumagorri. Visitors can also enjoy baked fatty back of tuna, shrimp & crab salad with potato, and complimentary fried langoustine.
Food was delicious!! Everything that we ordered, starting from appetizers to main dishes and desserts, was truly so enjoyable. The only recommendation would be to not order the tiramisú because it tasted too much like alcohol and it was rlly warm. On the other hand, the steak, squid, octopus and the salads were truly amazing and I recommend going here 100%! The staff is super friendly and attentive as well:)
Sophia S — Google review
Nice breakfast/brunch restaurant, where I enjoyed a good breakfast. The brunch menu is good. And gives you lots of great tasters from their kitchen, guaranteed to keep you full and satisfied for €22. Had a glance at the lunch menu, but it looked rather pricey, so probably wouldn’t come back for that. But service was nice and atmosphere was relaxed. - Value for money? Ok - Worth a detour? No - Best for (occasion)? Breakfast - Would I go back? Yes
Gustav K — Google review
An absolute gem in Donostia. Really well connected just 2 mins from the beach. Had a few bad experiences whilst here in other restaurants in the old town, with food warmed up on the microwave, found Gronx and this is totally different. I went there one day to give the ham croquettes a try, oh my god! Absolutely delicious, and I know because I had like thousands in my 40 years of life. Perfect crispy, delicious, consistent and super flavour bechamel. Try the next day the breakfast tortilla de patata, another one of the best I had, finishing with an entrecote with chips, and the dessert, extremely good and rich, amazing ice cream and beautiful presentation. Also Emma was the best in terms of help and chatting. I will be back, totally recommended 10/10.

Best food we’ve had in San Sebastian. The octopus was amazing. Excellent service. The blonde Romanian waiter was the best.

Dishes are excellent, prices a bit high, but also this is not a bar. The atmosphere was a bit too loud and the service, tho nice, quite chaotic and loud

Food was average at best. Appetizers were great but I got a undercooked codfish where the whole dish just tasted salty. Friend who had the burger thought it felt really dry. Not too expensive though. Staff was nice and fun!

Fam Kafe is a charming smoothie place conveniently located across from a gym, offering protein shake smoothies and acai bowls. While the acai bowl was enjoyable, some customers felt it could have been more frozen and included additional toppings like mango, kiwi, and peanut butter. The menu lacks peanut butter options and banana/pb smoothies. This cozy spot also serves cold coffee drinks like the Frap with customizable sweetness levels.
After going to every coffee shop in Spain. We finally found one that actually serves a cold coffee drink. The Frap. It isn’t nearly anywhere as sweet as a Starbucks frap, in fact you have the option to add sugar. This is a cool little spot in a small neighborhood outside of the downtown scene. I highly recommend they have great coffee and a variety of sweet pastries to choose from. Also very good prices!
Robin M — Google review
Just a lovely place 🌞 During our stay in Donestia we had breakfast here every morning. The owner is really friendly and the acaï bowl is amazing!!
Nancy — Google review
Juice and açai bowl had a very bland flavour. The fruit produce was very low quality.
Eli S — Google review
Pretty nice smoothie place. Right across from the gym and smartly offering protein shake smoothies. The acai bowl here was nice but not frozen enough and I would've liked more toppings such as mango, kiwi and peanut butter considering the price. Instead the toppings are just apple, banana and museli which is okay. The menu doesn't have peanut butter as an option anywhere, and there's no banana/pb type of smoothie which is a shame.

I tried the La Concha juice and I really loved it! I definitely recommend the place.
