Italian restaurant
Troppo Restaurante in San Isidro, Lima is a well-known gem that offers a blend of Italian and Peruvian cuisine. The restaurant prides itself on providing top-notch service and attention to detail, creating an unforgettable dining experience. Guests are transported to the hillsides of Italy through their culinary classics while still embracing their Peruvian roots. The restaurant's beautiful interior and exterior add to its charm, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors alike.
So freaking good! Small portions though. About $100 USD without ordering drinks.
Chris S — Google review
Pizza was great (Parma). Pasta depends. It's higher price point and portions are not too large. For starter, we ordered the Pulpo (grilled octopus). It was tender and the sauce was savory and smoky. We also ordered the Agnolotti del plin Al burro e salvia (ravioli-like) and the spaghetti allo scolglio (seafood spaghetti). I recommend the pizza and I have been ruined by the great pizzas in Rome and Naples. The Agnolotti is balanced and tasty. However, the seafood spaghetti was extremely salty. I almost never send dishes back but I had to send this back due to each bite is extremely salty. The remake was not that different so I cannot recommend this dish. The clams were tiny (about 2cm diameter) but luckily the shrimp and scallops were not too salty. The asparagus side comes with 6 stalks. It was cooked well and seasoned well. The dessert - I recommend the gelato with olive oil. We also got the tiramisu (not bad but they did not use rum), and the pistachio gelato. The pistachio gelato is just okay given I've tasted creamier and more buttery pistachio gelato in other places. The gelato with olive oil is simple but the ice cream is creamy, not too sweet, and the olive oil is grassy with the right amount of peppery taste to stand out. The server was great. They offered English menu when they saw us struggle a bit with Spanish. The kitchen did take a while for the first dish to arrive.

Very nice Italian restaurant in the heart of San Isidro district in Lima, Peru. Excellent food, wine and cocktail selection. Definitely a place you can’t miss whenever visiting Lima or if you have planned a special occasion. The staff is super friendly and attentive to your needs, there is no rush, everything is timed perfectly. Definitely we will come back to Troppo.
Mario D — Google review
Great meal at Troppo! We started with the stracciatella, which was tasty, followed by an excellent vitello tonnato—really flavorful. The carpaccio was a bit too salty for my taste, but the T-bone steak that followed was great, served with grilled asparagus and a fresh salad—wonderful. We ended with a very good panna cotta. We didn’t have pasta or pizza on this visit, but it’s definitely worth trying—always solid. They also have a decent wine list. We also had a alcohol free cocktail which was ok. The restaurant is on the pricy side but worth it. The service was friendly and attentive as always. This time, we sat inside, which was nice, although I usually prefer the terrace. Troppo with its terrace remains one of my favorite spots!
Ma J — Google review
I was taken to Troppo by my family in Lima for dinner and it was tremendously awesome! Not only is the restaurant absolutely beautiful outside and in, but it was packed! Luckily, my family is good at making reservations because you couldn't just walk in. As busy as they were, the service was outstanding! We had a large sampling of the menu, but everything was wonderful and well presented. To begin the meal, we ordered a beautiful Brunello Di Montalcino. They have a great wine list at pretty fair prices in my opinion. Also, we started the meal with Steak Tartare, prepared tableside, which was delicious. The great thing about their tartare, is you tasted the meat! It wasn't overly seasoned or overly wet. We also had the Vitello Tonnato, artfully presented, which was very good. For mains, we had the Cacio e Pepe, The beef cheeks, and gnocchi with lobster. All were amazing, but the beef cheeks and the Gnocchi were outrageous! The lobster was so gently cooked, it just melted. The beef cheeks may have been the best I have ever had anywhere! We were so full by the end of the meal that we basically ended up having tiramisu and a little bit of lemon sorbet. We happen to be lucky enough to sit outside which provided us the enough amount of air to survive after eating such an awesome, filling, delicious meal. I will definitely be returning to Troppo during one of my next trips to Lima. It definitely ranks up there in the top five Italian restaurants and maybe the top 15 restaurants in the city. Which being said for Lima, with such incredible food everywhere, is a huge thing to say in my opinion.

We had a pleasant Dinner Experience at this Italian Restaurant in San Isidro, Lima. The dishes were very good and presentable. The service was attentive and friendly. The ambiance was romantic, with low-lit lighting. We would highly recommend this place, perfect for a Date Night!
Anthony S — Google review
My favorite Italian restaurant for now. They are bit expensive but totally worth it. The place is beautiful with terrace seatings and staffs are very friendly. Tried wide varieties of he food they serve and loved most of them. For special occasions, business meetings, the place would be ideal. I especially recommend Cacio y pepe pasta, risotto with truffle, and pistachio ice cream.
Antonio Y — Google review
The place is beautiful, however the service was not top notch. Regarding the food, we order a beef tartare that was good (nothing special), a pizza with ham that was good, and a carbonara pasta that was disappointing...The pistachio ice cream was EXCELLENT. Would like to come back to try some of the other dishes. For Lima’s Italian restaurant options I gotta say is a good option, however there are a few new places that are also worth a try

Pizza restaurant
Very good traditional Italian food. Their pizza is excellent. I had the Carbonara fetuccini. It was delicious. I do recommend if you want a more traditional italian flavor.
David N — Google review
I ordered Fettuccini al Pesto and it was delicious. Took approximately 15 min to come to my table and was warm enough to fully enjoy it (it was 3.30pm though, so not really busy hours I would say). Waiters are really gentle. If you are a pasta-lover, you will totally enjoy the the dishes. Would recommend.
Deyna — Google review
Good Italian food but moderately overpriced. Expect approximately 35-45 sols for pasta dishes or 70 sols for full 14" pizzas. The Piccolina Pizza pictured was 65 sols and included bleu cheese in the 3-cheese quadrant.
Chad A — Google review
Good food, we had the buffet and it included wine and a desert. The staff was incredible, after you pick your pasta from the buffet they finish cooking it and cover it with the sauce of your choice.
FrumS R — Google review
Nice Italian restaurant to enjoy different traditional dishes... The garlic shrimps are a must... Also the ossobuco... You can change the risotto for spaghetti and it will be amazing...

San Ceferino - Trattoria is a delightful culinary gem that truly captures the essence of Italian dining. Upon entering, guests are greeted by an inviting atmosphere and friendly staff, including the attentive waiter Giovanni, who ensures everyone feels welcome. The menu offers a variety of delectable options, with standout dishes like Whole Lobster Ceviche and Crab Ravioli that leave diners raving about their flavors. While the pasta shines brighter than the pizza in many opinions, desserts also impress with their quality.
(Translated by Google) The atmosphere is super delicious, the pasta is delicious, I would say better than the pizza, we ate some desserts, very good, but the price is a bit low. The attention leaves something to be desired, but in good company everything became more enjoyable. (Original) El ambiente súper rico, las pastas estas riquísimas diría mejor que la pitzza, comimos unos postres, buenísimos , eso si de precio es algo carete. This place is absolutely amazing. The theatre hits you when you walk in and get greeted by the courteous and patient waiter, Giovanni. We were offered an English language menu and helped with our menu choices. We were received complimentary garlic bread as an appetiser. The food is superb and plentiful - the Whole Lobster Ceviche with Fresh fish and Parmesan Scallops was outstanding. Crab Ravioli with a classic sauce and extra seafood was so tasty. The meal was plentiful and we finished the evening with Limoncello. Thank you for making our time in Lima a great memory.

(Translated by Google) It's been a while since I've been, and I took advantage of Mother's Day. We liked everything we were served, but there weren't enough lines to get in. I think they should accept reservations WITHOUT TOLERANCE, just like other restaurants do. The doorman couldn't name my daughter and called her Katerin, not Caterina, and obviously we didn't hear him, so when we complained, we realized they'd already "called" (I think it would have been nice if he'd read the name correctly). Otherwise, everything was great.

Fine dining restaurant
Rafael, located in Lima and Bogota, is a highly acclaimed restaurant known for its modern Peruvian-Italian cuisine with Nikkei influence. Chef Rafael Osterling has skillfully combined diverse culinary influences to create a menu featuring delectable dishes such as Galician roasted octopus, roasted corn ravioli, and grilled confit lobster. The restaurant in Lima is particularly praised for standing out in the foodie city with its impressive offerings.
My visit to Rafael was full of great expectations as in all the new places I visit to eat. Reviews of Rafael are positive and negatives, and should be taken understanding that you are going to a Chefs restaurant, you are going to taste and eat food that has been meticulously created for a select type of patrons. Understanding this, I may say that Chef Rafael and his restaurant have accomplished something rare, exquisite and different that you usually do not see in fine dining in Peru. The food, his team, carefulness and little details are top notch. I highly recommend this place for connoisseurs, it’s expensive but it’s great.
Andres O — Google review
The food, referring to the taste was good in general, no complaints on that part, but the wait between the plates was too long. In top of that you must now that you will have to order multiple courses to be satisfied, because the portions are quite small so go with time. About the prices, in my opinion, they have great plates which deserve the high cost, but there’s others that are quite average, not worth it.
Ainara R — Google review
Rafael delivers on service, ambiance, and cocktails, the lighting and music set the tone perfectly. Food is good but feels overpriced compared to Mayta, and it doesn’t spark the same excitement. Still, desserts are excellent and the overall experience is polished and enjoyable
Juan Z — Google review
A must visit spot with a great ambiance. This definitely feels like fine dining! Warm fresh bread to start and a great drinks list. A small food menu but all worth trying. The scallops are a must and a signature dish. Loved the special of the Crudo and then steak main.
Anish V — Google review
This is supposedly rank 19th out of the top 50 restaurants in South America. We made our reservation 45 days in advance. To be honest our roasted pork belly, squid and few other dishes were good but I missed the magic dust (whatever that is). Maybe we have to get the tasting menu or wine pairing to get the full experience? Our waitress was professional but feels like she’s tired of us tourists and seems bored.
Jesse L — Google review
We stopped by and so glad we did! Juan was incredible. He created all of the cocktail recipes and they were amazing. He was so kind and showed us the beauty of pisco! Joaquin was very helpful and attentive as well. I wish we lived closer to this place, I would be there every day if I could!
Matthew C — Google review
The bar area is very nicely decorated and the cocktail I had was great (el capitan). The ceviche was nice but the crab pasta was just fine in my opinion. Overall the food was okay, but for the price point there are definitely better options elsewhere.
Dana C — Google review
Come to Rafael for an art-filled, elevated atmosphere, attentive service, and deftly executed seafood-forward Peruvian-Italian fusion. I came here for my birthday lunch and it was my personal favorite over some other fine dining spots I tried around the city (did not make it to Maido up the street, but that’s in another price category!) Don’t skip the bread basket. It’s an assortment of delicious warm goodness. Ours came with whipped goat cheese, butter, and tomato jam. The scallop appetizer (scallops in lemon butter) is an absolute must-order and nothing short of sublime. We ordered two pasta mains, and while the duck ragu lacked depth of flavor and the portion was a bit small, the stracciatella-filled pasta with prawns, peas, and a light cream sauce was a winner. The dessert menu was also an absolute highlight and you absolutely must save room for dessert. It was my birthday so they gave me one dessert on the house and we also ordered one of the most mind-blowing desserts I’ve ever had: cherimoya royale which consisted of - from bottom to top: custard apple mousse, praline, a flambéed custard apple slice, custard apple sorbet, enrobed in custard apple foam. The combination of great execution, the balance of complexity and simplicity, and the outstanding service and atmosphere makes this a worthwhile stop on any Lima itinerary!

Pizza restaurant
Mamma Lola is a well-established Italian trattoria and pizzeria located in Miraflores, Lima, Peru. Since its establishment in 2000, it has gained a reputation for serving excellent homemade pasta dishes. The restaurant offers an extensive menu with a variety of antipasti options such as Bruschettas and Provolone cheese seasoned with herbs and olive oil. Additionally, their grilled octopus served with a delicious assortment of vegetables is highly recommended.
Mamma Lola – Italian Tradition with a Peruvian Twist 🇮🇹🇵🇪 A local favorite and an absolute gem for dessert lovers! Mamma Lola offers a delightful mix of Italian classics infused with a Peruvian touch. From handmade chocolates and pastries to salads, sandwiches, pizzas, pastas, and specialty coffees – it’s a full sensory experience. We ordered fresh salads, mini cake pastries, a variety of chocolates, and a pistachio croissant – and every bite was fantastic. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and the presentation was beautiful. What really stood out was the friendly staff – they patiently explained the menu in English and guided us through the best picks. You can sit and enjoy your treats there, and we noticed several people ordering whole cakes to go. Clearly a go-to spot for locals and travelers alike. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area – whether you’re craving a sweet treat or a cozy meal! 🍰🍫🥗🍕

Service and atmosphere outweigh the food. We had nice almuerzo with salad and pasta with mushroom sauce. Excellent. Went back for pizza and it is almost inedible. Like a frozen pizza crust that wasn't cooked all the way. Three stars on the pizza is generous. Get the pasta!
Michele C — Google review
Excellent option when in Miraflores. Great Pizza but don't miss the home made fresh pasta and for dessert an amazing Crep Suzette! One fine italian jewel if you had enough ceviche. 😀
David G — Google review
We were looking for pasta to get carbs for the trip. I got chicken parm and pasta, chicken was delicious, pasta was ok to good. Wife felt same way, we finished our plates though. Server kept coming and stalking on us, please let us eat in peace. Honestly, not bad, not great. For comparison, Olive Garden is better. It felt a bit overpriced too. I will look for other places when in Lima.
Anibal S — Google review
I really like the atmosphere of this restaurant. It has a classic feel to it. The food is very delicious and the prices are not as expensive as I thought. There are many dishes I want to try. If I come back to Lima again, I will definitely stop by.
Ran B — Google review
Nice Italian ambiance, quiet enough to have a conversation. Good background music and friendly service, but that's about it. The pizza was more like Easy Bake oven quality or take home from Wong's. The four cheese gnocchi was pretty good, the lasagna with bolognese was average. The Peruvian lasagna, with lomo saltado. Well, let's just say that some food groups should not intermingle, namely lomo saltado and lasagna. Each are delicious in their own right, but not blended together. And unfortunately, the shrimp pasta was too shrimpy. Like it had had too much time swimming with other fish. High prices and a nudge for a tip is par for the course in this touristy area. Get off the beaten path, and you will be more satisfied.
Drake M — Google review
This is a great source of pizza on Miraflores, Lima. The smells of the place will lure you in. The staff is kind and friendly. My Spanish is terrible and they helped me like I was family. Gracias. And best of all the pizza is fantastic. I say this as a lifelong Chicagoan who has a discerning pizza palate. Well done Mamma Lola team. The cat was hanging out near Mamma Lola's.

Osteria Convivium in Lima is a charming restaurant adorned with lush greenery and beautiful artwork. The well-executed and artfully presented dishes make it an ideal spot for a romantic date. Visitors can also opt for the 'Cook in the Home of a Lima Chef' experience to gain insight into Peruvian cuisine. While some patrons praise the friendly staff and delicious food, others note that certain menu items may not meet expectations.
This would be a 4.5 if there was the option. The place earns a 5 while the food a 4. Although the menu has some interesting and very options, it also has some dishes that are not up to the standard (caccio e peppe for example). I would recommend ricotta cheesecake as a dessert as something quite good and out of the ordinary.
Marco S — Google review
The restaurant is a very well furnished one. Lots of green plants decorating the walls as well as nice paintings. The food was very good, we had a pizza salumi and the pesto noodles accompanied by nice red and white wine. The glasses could be a bit more full considering the high price. The staff was very friendly and well organized.

This is an absolutely gorgeous restaurant! Unfortunately our waiter was as friendly as a brick wall, I don’t think he smiled once and regarding the food nothing stood out, nothing had a wow factor, it was all pretty unimpressive and it’s took a ridiculous amount of time for food to come out and it wasn’t because they were busy because they weren’t … we wouldn’t return We ordered a Cesar salad as an appetizer and it wasn’t a Cesar salad, it was very cheesy, it was good but it wasn’t Cesar

Every detail counts towards a magnificent experience and this would have been if the bartender could make a simple Long Island and if the ossobuco had an extra hour of slow cooking. Nevertheless great cocktails and service and a gratifying tiramisu with a twist or two. Heavily recommended.

La Traviata in Miraflores offers a unique fusion of Italian and Peruvian cuisine, featuring a wide variety of dishes, appetizers, desserts, wines, and cocktails. The menu includes Italian classics with a Peruvian twist such as spinach ravioli and Alfredo fettuccine. While some find the prices to be on the higher side, others appreciate the fresh high-quality ingredients used in their dishes.
We are here twice in our short stay. Kenneth was our server both times and was very attentive and helpful. We spoke minimal Spanish and he was able to explain things in English. Excellent food and great prices

If you looking for simple straightforward Italian food in Miraflires this place is really good It's a small place it's not fancy everything is homemade the pasta is done in house The food is just like it's supposed to be and the portion are huge I highly recommend this place.

What a fabulous restaurant in Miraflores. Highly recommend the pizza. Thin crust and flavored very well. Pisco sour was perfect too and the staff were very friendly. Menu is done via QR code (see my photos) but I'm sure you can order without too. ENJOY!

Simple and unassuming Italian restaurant, but the foot is simply great. Been coming here for some time and it never disappointing. The service is great, the pasta is made in house from scratch. I have the Pangotti de Assado de Tiera, slow cook beef with wine amazing. And old Italian songs in the background. Just lovely.

One of my favorite restaurants in Lima, the food is always amazing, the service is great, and the prices are reasonable. You can tell they use fresh high quality ingredients in the kitchen because it shows in the food. I have been there multiple times and have always received a friendly welcome. I highly recommend this place if you are passing through Lima.

Nestled in the vibrant neighborhoods of San Isidro and Surco, La Bodega de la Trattoria is a delightful culinary gem that beautifully marries Italian flavors with local ingredients. The restaurant boasts an extensive menu featuring freshly made pastas crafted from high-quality components, ensuring each dish bursts with flavor. The inviting atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for family gatherings or casual dining experiences. Pizza lovers will be thrilled by their meticulously prepared dough, offering four delectable options to satisfy any craving.
Love the lasagna al pesto, carpaccio, good lunch !

The service at this restaurant was excellent—attentive, friendly, and welcoming. However, the food itself left much to be desired. We ordered the Spaghetti All' Pomodoro e Oro, but unfortunately, it was quite dry, with barely any pasta sauce to bring the dish together. The meatballs tasted like they were prepackaged and frozen, lacking the rich, homemade flavor you'd expect. On a brighter note, the cheesy bread was delicious. Given the overall quality of the food, the prices felt steep. While I appreciate their effort to deliver an Italian dining experience, it didn't quite hit the mark as authentic.
Alande C — Google review
I've eaten at bad "Italian" places but this one was specially bad. I've ordered the gnocchi, they were overcooked, one could hardly feel any cheese and it was very obvious that the cream was thickened with something unrelated to cheese, possibly flour, and it was too salty. Look at the picture, one of the saddest gnocchi on earth. The red wine was forgettable. Overall the food felt more like fast food. This was at their location in San Miguel, maybe the others are not as bad as this one.

It has a good service, but we really missed the classic Italian dishes, they got some good options, but it's not what a regular trattoria does offer. Other than that the food was just OK, we were expecting more.

Pasta is a popular spot known for its artisanal pasta-making process and the opportunity for customers to watch their pasta being made. The restaurant offers a variety of pasta dishes, all served with a glass of wine. In addition to pasta, they also serve house-made bread, sausages, and creamy cheeses. Customers have praised the superb crafting of each plate and the quality of ingredients used in the dishes.
This place is great! We got there and it was packed, but we were lucky enough to grab a spot at the bar. The staff recommended some dishes for us to order and nothing disappointed. Not to mention, the cheesecake was probably the best we’ve ever had! We ended up speaking with the owner briefly, (who’s wife is the pastry chef for the restaurant - thank you for the mind blowing dessert!) Lucky for us, they are opening a new location in Miami, Florida. Can’t wait to try it again in the US, but really recommend this restaurant!

I absolutely loved the open kitchen concept of pasta here. The staff was quite helpful in letting me decide which pasta is best for me considering my dietary preferences. Agnolotti one which I had was absolutely delicious with flavors just bursting in my mouth. I would highly recommend the pastas here
VIPUL T — Google review
This might be my favorite restaurant in Lima (for non-Peruvian food). I especially recommend sitting at the bar if you can, watching the staff cook in the open kitchen is a real treat. I really recommend the stracciatella appetizer. It's been months since I visited PASTA and I still dream about it. For mains, both the spaghetti with confit tomato sauce and house-made ricotta and the mushroom agnolotti in butter sauce were delicious. I would put the quality on the same level as Misi in NYC, which says a lot. (Plus, at a fraction of the price!) Finally, for deserts, the gelato I had was also excellent. Overall, I highly recommend PASTA. I enjoyed my experience there so much I went back 2 days later.

Order to share for the best experience! We got four meals to share - ravioli filled with choclo, pici con Pepe and ravioli filled with mushrooms and it was incredible, on par with what you get served in Italy!

Great cocktails, atmosphere, service and incredible food. The appetizers were to live for and the pasta was simply spectacular. Portions are just right as well. You leave feeling very satisfied and not bloated

Well, the pasta does not disappoint! We ordered the Agnolotti and the Capillacci and started with the stracciatella. The limonata drink and the passion fruit drinks were refreshing and not too sweet. We loved the cheese and bread starter very fresh and tasty with olive oil and cracked black pepper on top. It’s very filling probably more of a starter to share between three or four people. The pastas were also excellent individually prepared fresh and very flavorful I would definitely return for the food. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t that great. Why is it that in Lima all the service personnel ask you for a tip but then they can’t do simple things like bring you a box for Leftover food? I walked out holding my bread and cheese in my hand because the takeout box never came after asking multiple times and we had to get to our next appointment.

Terrible food not Italian at all. The seafood pasta had less seafood than an appetizer. Drinks are ok but way too expensive 50 soles per drink.

Overcooked, gluey pasta. The shrimp was also very overcooked. The staff were inattentive. There were 3 tables of diners and no one offered me a menu or checked on me after my food was set down. I had to ask for a menu, ask for pepper, and ask for the bill.

This is the real Italian food, one dish you need to order is the Fiocchi (I am adding the picture of it). It's somewhat expensive but definitely worth it.

Reliably fantastic food, great cocktails (try the nonalcoholic Electric Potion) and some of the best service in Lima. I have never had a bad dish here, and must have tried at least half the menu. Some wall photos of models are NSFW which might put off families, but they lean into a European "hip 60s" aesthetic. Background music is perfect, low key and not disruptive. Hoisen tacos are to die for.

The pizzas were crispy, however, there were some differences between the sample or display product with respect to the pizzas that were delivered to us. So, in general, it seemed to me that the product was expensive based on its portion size and its flavor. The place is small and quiet and the bathroom, which is for both sexes, was locked

Astrid y Gastón is a refined restaurant that has become a classic in Lima's culinary scene. Founded by chef Gaston Acurio and pastry chef Astrid Gutsche, the restaurant opened its doors in 1994 and played a significant role in the revival of Peruvian gastronomy. Housed in a spacious 17th-century palace with modern minimalist decor, it offers regional seafood and meat dishes along with an extensive selection of cocktails and wines.
I saw a recommendation for that Restaurant in my tour book and made a reservations two days ahead. While I came in a little bit early I had to wait until my time of reservation. My table was in the inner yard under a tree - with heaters on both sides. The service was very helpful to make the decisions for the starter and the maincourse, and his recommendation for the mixed bread basket was wonderful. The dishes were delicious and I enjoyed the evening at Astrid y Gastón a lot. I can highly recommend a booking there.

Astrid y Gastón is hands down my favourite restaurant in Lima. I have to come here each time I'm visiting. They have all classic peruvian dishes, but with a little twist. These are the better versions of already tasty dishes. I especially love banana and fried egg extension of lomo saltado. The seating area in the middle is beautiful and combination with the music makes unforgettable atmosphere. Reservation is recommend (reservations are usually seating indoor, so not in the middle with the tree). 5 out of 5.

Make sure you reserve your table in advance as this restaurant fills up even on weekdays. I absolutely loved eating here. The restaurant several different eating areas on different levels, so it does not seem as crowded or full as it really is. The table are spaced far enough not to feel claustrophobic and the overall volume of the restaurant is good enough to be able to conduct a conversation with your table mates without shouting. All, absolutely all, the cocktails, dishes, appetizers, and desserts we ordered were delicious. Service was very attentive, and helpful. Or server spoke fluent English and was able to describe it dishes perfectly. This restaurant is a must when traveling to Lima

This restaurant is in open air space, I mean the inside space is just as cold as sitting on the outside spaces. If I’ve known that I would have wear a warmer jacket to dinner instead of just a dress shirt. Few of us in our group were cold during the whole lovely dinner. The interior space is very pretty and sitting by the kitchen was a bonus, we get to see them cook and do magic with our food. All I remember was the food was excellent but I was cold.

This building is jaw droppingly beautiful, especially in the evening when bathed in the splendor of countless candles and dim lights, simply gorgeous! We enjoyed the special 8-course tasting menu at Astrid & Gastón and it exceeded our expectations. Each dish was beautifully presented, well-executed, and full of flavor. Full course was great - not sure why there is no Michellin guide in Lima but this would for sure be a 1 or eventuality 2 star experience. Very good service, good food quality, tasty - nice house too - looks like a colonial palace. We also need reservation for it.

In August 2024, I had the tasting menu. It was good, but I didn’t love everything. I’m not sure it was worth the ~Pen 800. When you get the tasting menu, you are seated in a special room. I would have given the restaurant 4 stars for the value for food on the tasting menu. I went back in August 2025 and ate a la carte and we loved it. The service (both times) was amazing. Outside, there are space heaters and blankets. So 5 stars for the a la carte. Each room is decorated differently and it is quite fun.

Maido is an upscale and modern restaurant that offers a unique blend of local cuisine with a Japanese influence. It has been recognized as one of the top restaurants globally, known for its Nikkei dishes which combine Peruvian and Japanese flavors. Chef Mitsuharu "Micha" Tsumura's innovative creations have earned Maido top honors on San Pellegrino's Best Latin American Restaurants list for three consecutive years.
There are truly no words to fully capture this experience. It exceeded every expectation. The service was impeccable, and the presentation was extraordinary. Each course had its own unique display. The food was absolutely delicious, and the ambiance was so nice. One of my favorite details was that for each course, the waiter brought a small basket with sample vegetables and fruits used in the dish, allowing us to see, touch, and understand exactly what we were eating. Since reservations are difficult to secure, we were only able to book seats at the bar, and I am so glad we did. Sitting there made the experience even more special. The chefs shared stories about the restaurant, about Micha, and about their own lives, making the evening feel intimate and personal. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience, and I completely understand why they are ranked the #1 restaurant in the world. I hope to return one day, and when I do, I will absolutely choose to sit at the bar again.

After being on the waiting list for a while, we decided to try our luck as a walk in customer. We were so fortunate that there was a slot and we were able to have an early dinner. As the 2025 number one restaurant in the world, we had high expectations. The staff were professional, friendly and explained clearly how we should eat each dish to get the best culinary experience. Each dish gave an amazing taste that is hard to describe and it is no wonder that this is the top restaurant in the world. All dishes were amazing, but my favourite was the scallop with urchin.

We visited the restaurant for the Maido Experience after it got given the #1 Restaurant in the World Award and were not disappointed at all. It was a truly unique experience from the moment we walked in until we left, from the staff greeting until the last goodbye. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated, with exquisite table setting and plates. The dining experience was phenomenal, with 14 different wonderful bites to try, each one with an amazing taste, texture, presentation, combination of flavours and of course a wonderful introduction by our waiter. It took us about 2 hours to go through each dish, with the perfect timing in between dishes for you to eat, savour, take in, enjoy and discuss with your friends. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and can’t wait to come back, next time maybe to focus on a dish or two. We consider ourselves very fortunate for having the opportunity to experience something like this. Thank you Misha for making it possible. ❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “If I came here knowing nothing, I would say I had very delicious food and would love to come every month, but I wouldn’t call this the best in the world. The food is good, but the storytelling is missing and the service mostly just lists the ingredients. The atmosphere is pleasant, the Nikkei–Peruvian fusion is impressive, but overall the experience felt more like casual dining.”

I’ve had really high expectations for Maido, as it was supposed to be one of the peaks of my trip to Peru. However, I left rather dissapointed. There was nothing wrong about the food, it was OK, but nothing special. Had better food many times. Don’t believe it was worth the price or the hype.

Such a fun and tasty dinner! The experience was great.. each course was delicious, a little adventurous, and my favorite part was the use of texture in every dish!! They are booked constantly so their reservations are strict and they should be! Timing of dishes was great and the sake selection is good.

How is this number one in the world? Did these people lose their taste buds in 2025? The meal started out okay but nothing spectacular. Could easily name 100 restaurants that were better than Maido that I’ve eaten at all over the world. They tried to copy Central in bringing in the raw ingredients to the table, but it’s a totally different vibe. The sushi rice was so poorly cooked, even just touching it with the chopstick I could tell it wasn’t right. It was hard and starchy… how can you mess up something so essential in Japanese cuisine? The glass noodles were all stuck together and gummy. And the dessert was just atrocious… chorizo flavored ice cream with a soup of lemongrass flavored soy milk. I’m sorry but it made me want to throw up. Such a disappointment all around.

So let’s go the movie route with this place … Clint Eastwood style … the good , the bad and the ugly. First the good: amazing service , super attentive , surprisingly, the chaufa de pescado is the reason to come here … mind blowing flavors and super fresh! The bad, the reason I came here was for the ceviche but both were super salty … the ugly: the ceviche was soooo salty that I didn’t finish it but it looked beautiful.. I felt so bad leaving it there. Ironic that I came for the ceviche but stayed for the chaufa. I really hope it was just an off day for them because I’m coming back for the chaufa !

First off I love food and cultural food is something I look forward to on our trips. We heard about this place and it was recommended to be an extremely nice and delicious place to eat a lot of the cultural food here. However I have to say that this place doesn’t hopefully represent anything to do with Peru and this was the worst place we have eaten here since we started our trip. The service was non existent, the food was either over cook or cut incorrectly and chewy, the valet told a man as we were leaving that they didn’t do valet and continued to watch his phone, the waiter made us change or 20 dollars bill multiple time because they had very slight rips on the bottom, overall I will never return to this restaurant and I hope this helps some of you avoid wasting your money here.

The best thing I had was the grilled octopus … I had a seafood pasta and I found it a bit weird because there was a large amount of cheese on top that I found strange. Pisco sour was good. A bit sweet but still delicious… The doughnuts at the end were awesome though!

Research foundation
Central, located in Miraflores Lima, is a renowned restaurant owned by chef Virgilio Martinez. It stands out for its unique approach to haute cuisine, focusing on Peruvian biodiversity and using ingredients from different altitudes and regions of the country. The restaurant has been consistently ranked among the top 50 restaurants globally and was awarded first place in 2023 for its innovative culinary concepts. Central also prioritizes sustainability and conscious use of natural resources.
Let's start out by saying this was a dining experience that I will remember for the rest of my life. The food was interesting, and sometimes over the top, but I understood what they were trying to do. Central is experimenting with ingredients, and they're trying to use every piece of every food available. This is to be admired. I have to be frank. Some dishes were excellent and others were just weird, but the overall experience was memorable, especially the service. They have been ranked 'the best restaurant in the world' a few years ago, and some would think this 'allows' them to have an attitude. This is precisely the opposite of what I experienced. From the moment I walked through the entrance, I felt very welcome, even though I was a solo diner. From the tour of the garden to the presentation of my table, to the stories behind every course (including the local drinks/wines), every moment of my dining experience was fantastic. The team even allowed me to take some photos of the kitchen. I felt like a VIP, even though I am sure I was just an average guest. So the food. Some dishes were among the best I have ever had, while others just didn't work for me. But over 13 courses and maybe 30-35 individual dishes, this was to be expected. This is not a cheap experience, but if you can afford it, you will not regret dining here.

Same as Maido, I left rather dissapointed food-wise. There was nothing wrong about it, but at the same time, there was nothing special about it. The experience on the other hand, was quite unique. Also a beautiful garden! One more issue I had was that the tip is not included, which I would honestly expect given the already very high price.

The Best Dining Experience in the World Central is, without a doubt, the number one restaurant on the planet. The entire experience—from the storytelling behind each dish to the flawless execution—is unforgettable. Virgilio Martínez, the visionary chef and owner, is one of the most creative talents in the culinary world today. His ability to take you on a journey through Peru’s ecosystems, altitudes, and ingredients is nothing short of genius. Every course is a revelation. The tasting menu is a beautifully choreographed journey through Peru’s diverse landscapes—from the Amazon to the Andes to the Pacific. Dishes like “Extreme Altitude” and “Amazonian Water” are not only exquisite in flavor, but also rooted in deep cultural and ecological meaning. The presentation is stunning, and each plate tells a story. The service and coordination were absolutely perfect, making the entire experience seamless. The liquor pairing (maridaje) was outstanding—thoughtfully curated to elevate each dish. Dining at Central is not just a meal—it’s a profound, inspiring experience. Truly the best I’ve ever had. This is a fabulous experience. They are so meticulous with every detail. It was wonderful to watch the bustle of the open kitchen, like a show. All the dinner ware and serving plates/dishes were so delicate and beautiful. And I love their theme of sourcing food from all altitudes in Peru. Most of the ingredients I have never heard of or tried before, so it was really intriguing. The service and atmosphere was definitely fit for a number one restaurant of the world. But I personally feel the food fell a little short. There’s prob a reason why every part of different animal and plants are not eaten, because it doesn’t taste great. But Central wanted to incorporate all parts into the meal. In the end it has the taste great and a few dishes did fall short. We also had a server who did not speak English very well and I couldn’t understand her explain the dish.

And finally Central. The flagship restaurant of legendary Peruvian Chef Virgilio Martínez. The restaurant is known for its contemporary interpretation of Peruvian cuisine using modern techniques. Each dish represents a specific Peruvian ecosystem, defined by altitude, ranging from below sea level to the high Andes. Central was crowned the world’s best restaurant for many years. The tasting menu typically features 12 courses. The dishes were “academic”; beautifully crafted but not always memorable in flavour cohesiveness. The experience is experimental with lot of effort in carving visually appealing dishes but the final outcome is confusing. One leaves without understanding what food did he have. The dining room is bright, minimalist, and open, with stone tables, floor-to-ceiling windows, and an open kitchen
Habib M — Google review
“Dining at Central is not just a meal, it’s a journey through Peru’s ecosystems. From the moment we entered, the experience felt like visiting a living museum: the garden and entrance are filled with plants, trees, and ingredients that later appear on the menu. We were welcomed with warm towels, seated at a beautiful table designed with privacy in mind, and immediately noticed how attentive the service was. Every course came with its own unique cutlery and a small theatrical demonstration – sometimes a book with QR codes explaining the plants, sometimes an entire octopus or stones representing the Andean landscape. Even small gestures, like discreetly wiping drops of water on the table or changing napkins when leaving the table or before desserts, showed remarkable attention to detail. The 12-course tasting menu was extraordinary. Each dish represents a different altitude of Peru, from the depths of the sea to the highest Andes. Highlights included the Warm Sea Current with lobster and razor clam, Rainforest Connection with Amazonian fish, and the spectacular desserts inspired by the Sacred Valley and 100% cacao. Every plate felt like a masterpiece, both in taste and presentation. Service, storytelling, and culinary creativity are perfectly intertwined at Central. It’s educational, emotional, and delicious at the same time – an unforgettable dining experience and truly deserving of being named the best restaurant in the world.”
Emre 4 — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Our experience at Central was simply flawless. The menu takes you on a journey through Peru’s ecosystems, from sea level to the mountain peaks. Each dish is not only about taste but also about storytelling; no flavor overwhelms the other, everything flows in perfect harmony. The garden welcome and the map we were given made us realize from the very beginning that this would be more than just a meal – it would be a geographical experience. The book that accompanies the courses was incredible; each page reveals a different side of Peru and completes the meaning of the dish. From the Rainforest to the Extreme Altitude, from the Savanna to the 100% Cacao, every stage impressed us with both its ingredients and its message. The cacao finale was a powerful closing, like a gift from Peru to the world. Central is a place that allows you to see the world through Peru’s eyes. The philosophy of the kitchen, the rhythm of service, the storytelling, and the balance of flavors are truly extraordinary. A journey that anyone interested in gastronomy should absolutely experience in Lima.”

** I am rating and saying opinions of what I would expect paying thousands of US dollars for a dinner** This place is overrated. Servers appeared to not want to work and the timing of bringing and taking away dishes was off. Mocktail pairing there were two repeated drinks and they were all fermented drinks and almost all tasted the same. Just sour. Couldn’t differentiate between the drinks towards the end. The courses started off strong with the first 4. But soon it went downhill for us. Dishes had a lot of foam elements. And the overall taste of everything was salty and couldn’t distinguish the different foods. It’s hard not to compare to other places that cost the same price. Service and food are NOT up to par. We paid 2,087.69 $ for three people. It cost us less to eat at a 2 Michelin star place with an extra person with us. Where the food and service was worth the price.

Cala is a restaurant located in Lima, offering diverse cuisine and cocktails in a polished setting with sea views. The restaurant provides an opportunity to enjoy the catch of the day prepared in local style while admiring the Pacific Ocean. It reflects Peruvian marine flavors with a contemporary touch and offers options for those who prefer non-seafood dishes.
I visited Cala for a drink while enjoying their iconic beach sunset, but unfortunately, I wasn’t feeling my best after a long flight. The staff was incredibly kind, and our waiter, whose name I wish I remembered, went above and beyond by asking the chef to prepare a homemade-style soup for me. It was exactly what I needed, warm, comforting, and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere at the restaurant was truly amazing, and the sunset was nothing short of breathtaking. I can’t wait to come back and fully experience their menu. 100% recommend!

We had such a wonderful experience at Ca La, and a big part of that was thanks to Antonio. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with such warmth and friendliness that instantly made us feel welcome. Throughout the evening, his service was attentive without ever being intrusive, and his genuine kindness made our dinner truly memorable. Antonio went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and his thoughtful recommendations made our meal even more special. It’s rare to meet someone who combines professionalism with such a personal touch—he really made us feel like guests of honor. Thank you, Antonio, for turning a great dinner into an unforgettable experience. We will always remember it!

I came here for lunch on my first day in Peru with my friend who’s been here before. I was simply amazed! The view, the service, the food and the atmosphere! Everything you read on the reviews is true! I couldn’t stop thanking my date for making such a great choice. We sat at small table for two right in front of the beach were people were surfing. It was hard to chose between staring at the sea or into my date’s eyes! You must try the ceviche appetizer sample to share. It was so delicious from traditional ceviche to modern versions. I then had the filet de sole and my friend the sesame seed tuna. Both dishes were fantastic. The place was full but the service was still very personalized. They had live music which was a nice touch. The hardest part was leaving. I would have gladly stayed for the next meal and for the sunset. Next time for sure!

Very nice restaurant, on the pricier side but well worth it. Made a reservation through their website beforehand and were seated on the spectacular terrace facing the sea. Our waiter Leonel was incredibly kind and attentive, knew about our dietary restrictions mentioned in the reservation before we even brought it up. The service was fast and professional. Absolutely delicious food from entree to dessert with high-quality ingredients. They only have one vegetarian option (agnolotti funghi in saffron butter) available as it's mainly a sea food restaurant. Wasn't a problem for us because we knew beforehand, but another option to broaden the menu would be great. We'll definitely be back!

Cafe Museo Larco is a delightful dining spot located within the gardens of the Museo Larco, offering a diverse menu that aims to compete with top restaurants in Lima. The cafe provides an array of small bites, main courses, and delectable desserts for visitors to enjoy after exploring the extensive Pre-Columbian art collection.
I had chicken soup it was too plain for my taste, so I asked for lemon juice, chili sauce and chopped cilantro. After adding those it became legendary. My husband had cream of vegetable soup, it was delicious and thick, just the way we like. We had grilled scallops as a starter, so flavorful so fresh. A must order! As main dish I had the Lomo Saltado it was all I need, very balanced plate, every bit was so tasty. Surrounded by beautiful local flowers and plants, with thoughtful, tasteful décor. We loved every moment of it. .

Everything was so good from the interior decoration to the food; from the welcoming to the service. Mr Ricardo has enabled a great experience thanks to his smiling face and professional service in explaining the food ingredients in details. I had cream vegetable soup, grilled scallop and slow roasted chicken; my wife got chicken soup and lomo saltado and then shared so tested most of the menu :) all was perfect but the chicken soup lacked a little bit of flavor, but wife compansated by adding chilli and other herbs :)

Beautiful place, i would put 5 stars but they need to improve. Pros: The place is beautiful! Environment is great Food is good Staff is very nice and kind Cons Not enough staff. The food was ready and the waiter brought it to the side table but it was full of dirty dishes so he had to wait until someone came to empty it. After that the food stay in the side table until the waitress was able to puck it and bring them to our table. Bottom line food got cold. In addition we asked for the wine to be served with the food but they took a good 8 minutes between the food (cold) and the wine. The dishes were good: Causa de langostinos Ravioles en salsa huancaina Lomo saltado con tacu tacu montado

This place is fantastic and I recommend it to everyone visiting Lima. Lomo saltado sandwich was awesome... The bread, the tender meat, the seasoning, even the fries were perfect. Also enjoyed the tuna tartare, and a pisco sour for good measure. This place is beautiful just for a walk among the plants.

We just flew in from Cusco from our epic Machu Picchu tour and Amazon rainforest adventure and had a 6 hour layover before our overnight red-eye flight to Brazil, part of our Latin America tour. During my research for a good restaurant earlier, I discovered that Lima has a world-renowned culinary scene and hosts the #1 and #2 of the top 10 rated restaurants in the world in 2025! Since both restaurants are hard to get into short notice and very expensive for a family of 5, I was overjoyed to find Museo Larco Café-Restaurant and promptly booked a reservation online. As an extra bonus, I decided to go visit the Museum Larco next door with the family beforehand, one of the top rated museums in all Latin America. After the museum visit, we walked to the restaurant right next to and still within the gated compound. Museo Larco Café-Restaurant was visually stunning in the evening, with all the soft string lights, elegant open floor plan, vaulted ceilings and chandeliers with upscale, chic decorations. As a travel writer and in the top 10% of all Google restaurant reviewers, it had to be one of the nicest we have ever dined in around the world! It was nice of them to take care of our 10-pieces of luggage for our family without a problem. They had a good menu selection and at great prices compared to comparable restaurants in America or Europe. For a cocktail, I asked our server what she recommended for a local Peruvian drink, and she recommended the Pisco Sour. My wife went for a different flavor of the same drink, probably a passion fruit version. It was so good and a must-have drink! Come to find out it’s the most popular and iconic traditional Peruvian alcoholic drink, particularly in Lima. This national cocktail is made with pisco (a type of grape brandy), lime juice, simple syrup, egg whites, and a dash of bitters, creating a frothy, citrusy, and refreshing drink that is a cornerstone of Peruvian culture. After warm bread with warm butter (a test that they passed indicating a good restaurant), the entrees came out and they did a great job creating a nice looking presentation. I had the braised beef ribs and mashed potatoes for about $22 USD! It was so melt-in-your mouth tender and the portions were a good size. It was almost 8:15pm and we needed to get our next Uber back to the airport in time for our flight, but before we could go, our server presented us with a nice dessert platter on the house! The whole experience was one of the best times we had in Lima and one of the most enjoyable dining experiences of our whole Latin America trip. If you are planning to dine in Lima and reading this, you just found one of the best restaurants!

Very beautiful spot to grab a bite to eat after visiting the museum. The outdoors area is stunningly beautiful. Set along walls of flowers and hanging vines. Food and service here is high quality as well. I did not have to wait long to be seated. I tried the Tuna Tartare and Pisco Sour for a small solo-brunch.

Punto Azul is a renowned restaurant in Lima that attracts both locals and tourists with its classic Cevicheria offerings. The menu features delightful dishes such as the Seafood Chaufa and Jalea, showcasing the best of Peruvian seafood cuisine. Situated in Miraflores, this affordable eatery is often bustling with hungry patrons eager to savor its delectable offerings.
When we arrived in Lima, we had 3 people recommend this restaurant to us and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. Our server, Jose Luis, was so kind and offered excellent recommendations, including a daily special that was not listed on the menu, but was the best dish we tried! The food is so fresh and flavorful. We tried the tartar (excellent, but would skip next time); Ceviche mixto (best ceviche I’ve ever had); daily special fried fish with decadent marisco sauce (1000000/10); Pisco & Pisco Punch (would recommend Pisco Punch to anyone who doesn’t want to taste alcohol too strongly). Overall, a fabulous experience. Due to the popularity, be prepared to wait up to 1hr on the weekends for a table. But you will not regret it!

Hi there, Fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor! Punta Azul nails what Peruvian seafood should taste like — from perfectly seasoned ceviche to tender pulpo and juicy arroz con mariscos. The place buzzes with energy, and the service is quick even when it’s packed. It’s that classic Lima spot where locals and travelers meet over pisco sours and fresh catches. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic coastal Peruvian cuisine! Cheers

Pisco Sour Salvation in a Sea of Mediocrity After a week of questionable life choices in Peru, we stumbled upon a restaurant that didn't make us want to cry (yet). There was a line out the door, and they actually took reservations – shocking! The food was...fine. Scallops were smothered in enough cheese to clog an artery, the octopus was unremarkable, and the ceviche was decent, but let's be real, we've had better at a high school potluck. BUT. The pisco sour? Oh, sweet mother of all that is good. It was like a symphony of flavors, a party in our mouths, a reason to question all our life choices that led us to this moment. We're talking best pisco sour in Peru best. We'll be back for that alone. Every. Single. Night. If you're a foodie looking for a culinary experience, just don'texpecta lot here. But if you're a pisco sour connoisseur (is that a thing?), this place is your holy grail. Just don't forget to bring your stretchy pants and a cardiologist.

We had a great dinner and decided to share a few dishes so we could try more of the menu, the food did not disappoint, “Delicious.” The service was a little slow, but that’s understandable given how popular the restaurant is for its excellent food. The atmosphere has a great vibe, though it did get quite loud with all the guests and music. Not unpleasant, but something to keep in mind if you prefer a quieter setting.

If you’re in Lima and craving ceviche, Punto Azul is a name that comes up again and again — and for good reason. I walked in just before noon and the place was already buzzing. No frills, no pretentious plating — just solid, flavour-packed Peruvian seafood done right. They start you off with a bowl of cancha (toasted corn) and a small bowl of spicy salsa — a salty, crunchy prelude that sets the tone. Then came the ceviche mixto (pescado y pulpo) — fresh chunks of fish and tender octopus, marinated in a bold leche de tigre. Creamy, citrusy, assertive. The sweet potato and choclo on the side round it off with earthy sweetness and chew. I’ve had ceviche in Chile, but this? Different league. Brighter, more acidic, more alive. The Peruvians own this dish, hands down. A warm bowl of fish broth (caldito) also arrived unannounced — a comforting, herby sip in between bites. Wrapped up the meal with a merengado de chirimoya, a light but decadent dessert that brings together tropical fruit, crisp meringue, and fresh strawberries. A surprising win — and very Peruvian. 💰 Total bill: PEN 80 📷 Dishes tried: • Ceviche Pescado Pulpo (56 PEN) • Merengado de Chirimoya (24 PEN) Pro tips: ✅ Come early or expect a queue ✅ Service is quick and friendly ✅ Portions are generous ✅ Dessert is worth saving space for

Yes, they're great!! And it's worth the visit! I went there because my friend recommended it and, fortunately, it was just in front of the hotel. I was lucky to get in early, as it gets busy later and I wasn't aware of it (until seeing lines in other moments). The waiter was super attentive and friendly, despite the busyness! The entrée (canchita and banana chips with those sauces) is just a sign that it's gonna be goooood! I was alone and didn't expect the chaufa de mariscos would be sooooo big!!! It could be shared between two people, at least. It was delicious, although couldn't finish it 🥲 and chicha morada was just perfect to balance the dinner.

The place was packed for lunch. The hostess said a 20 minute wait and it was pretty close. I think I waited 25-30 minutes? It flew by pretty quickly. I got the fish ceviche and grilled fish. It was so good! Portions are huge. I couldn’t finish it and had to take it to-go. So worth it. Wish I had a bigger party so I could try more items on the menu. A bit on the pricier side but it was good! Service was friendly but they were busy so expect to wait a bit and enjoy your time.

Cevichería Barra Maretazo is a must-visit for those seeking authentic Peruvian cuisine in Lima. The restaurant offers a perfect blend of traditional Peruvian dishes, with ceviche being the standout option. Visitors can expect fresh and flavorful seafood, including an amazing shrimp risotto. The relaxed beach vibe within the city creates a unique dining atmosphere, complete with sandboxes at window bar tables. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and accommodating to dietary restrictions.
A wonderful find close to our hotel. Our server, Roberto, was brilliant explaining the menu with recommendations. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and everyone made us feel very welcome. A good restaurant with attentive bilingual staff. It's a good place to try ceviche if you want to stay in Miraflores. The leche de tigre was not as smooth as I would've liked, but the flavor was good and they gave a complimentary sample for causa, leche de tire and another dish. They were amazing. The staff was attentive and didn't hesitate to explain the dishes to me. They asked if I wanted an English menu and overall it was a great experience.

Perfect spot for ceviche, chicarones and pisco sours in the heart of Miraflores! The service was attentive and friendly from all staff, particularly our server Rodrigo! We were given a mini taster at the start of the meal which was delicious and a nice touch. The ceviche was really delicious, as were the mixed chicarones with perfectly crispy fish, prawns and calamari. Really good value for Miraflores which is generally more expensive than other parts of Peru. Highly recommend!

Total: S/50 for solo dinner (Arroz con Pollo + Ronda Marina sampler + water) Tucked away in the heart of Miraflores, this spot was a gem for my solo dinner. I walked in expecting a decent meal and walked out fully convinced this place gets what Peruvian food is all about — flavor, freshness, and soul. From the moment I sat down, I was greeted with a little bowl of cancha (crispy Andean corn) and a complimentary tasting spoon of ceviche. That touch — humble yet thoughtful — told me I was in good hands. I ordered the Arroz con Pollo, a classic dish that came out with perfectly seasoned green rice, tender bone-in chicken, and that iconic Salsa Criolla (marinated red onion salad) to cut through the richness. Earthy, aromatic, and satisfying without being heavy — this is comfort food done right. The Ronda Marina sampler was a great touch too — two small spoons of mixed seafood ceviche and a shot of leche de tigre that delivered a citrusy punch and left a pleasant fire on the tongue. A mini burst of Peru’s coastal essence. The service? Friendly and attentive. The vibe? Laid-back but not lazy. Ocean-themed decor, good lighting, and a crowd that looked like they knew they came here for something worthwhile. The prices lean on the higher side compared to your average market meal (Arroz con Pollo was S/42), but for Miraflores and the quality you’re getting, it’s well worth it. Portions are solid, presentation is sharp, and the flavors are unapologetically Peruvian. 📌 Would I go back? Absolutely. I’d come back with friends next time, try their Chilcano de Pisco, and work my way through the seafood section of the menu. This place strikes the sweet spot between local flair and a polished dining experience — tourist-friendly but still authentic.

Super disappointed. We chose this specifically for the reviews and it being on many of the “best in Lima” lists. However, they did not have many things on the menu, including NO beer, which is odd since it’s so easy to have basic Pilsen or Cusqueña. They also couldn’t make a whiskey sour and didn’t have ANY desserts (which we didn’t find out like many things until we are ordering it). The pisco sour was quite weak and not as strong as normal piscos you find at any average bar. They get a 2 star because what they DID serve was quite tasty. Try the restaurant next door!

This was a great restaurant. Sat outside on their patio, did not smell cars and the traffic was quiet. The atmosphere was Perfecto. I had their lomo saltado and a latte. Enjoyed both greatly! The service was attentive and the waitress Yngrid spoke enough English to compensate for my bad Spanish. Will return before leaving Peru. **Update*** I returned to this restaurant again before having to leave Lima. I was waited on by Grabriel his personality was perfect. I had a glass of red wine, the lomo saldato (again) and for desert I had the strawberry sherbert with a white chocolate ball with rice pudding in the center. I think in the center of the rice pudding was carmel 😋. The food was all excellente. There is something about this place the atmosphere, food and staff come together to make a perfect experience.

An excellent restaurant of Italian food. I ordered the black spaghetti with seafood and it was fantastic! There is a lot of seafood and the price considering the quantity is reasonable. My husband ordered the chicken with pasta which was also good, maybe the sauce was a little watery. The service is excellent and the ambiance on the terrace is good. We will definitely come back and recommend others not to miss it if they run an Italian kitchen.

"Bold flavors, killer vibes, and the sexiest pasta I've ever seen" Okay, I’m OBSESSED. This place is like if Machu Picchu and Italy had a stylish foodie baby. Every dish is an adventure. The Spaghetti Nero Frutti di Mare? Melt-in-your-mouth delicious. And Linguine con Lomo with aji amarillo pesto—chef’s kiss! The decor is modern-chic with pops of color that scream, “Take a selfie here.” Service was super friendly, super fast, and they actually know the menu (bless). If you’re in Peru and want an Italian meal that feels both elegant and deeply personal, this place is a must. Can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic italian food, proper italian music (with an occasional unfortunate dip into the American 80s pop), and great location. Pretty good wine list, but it's Peru so tailor your expectations; the house montepulciano is nice, tho.

Amoramar is a charming restaurant located in the bohemian district of Barranco in Lima, offering a romantic setting for couples to celebrate special occasions. The menu features a wide variety of dishes, including ceviches, Creole rice dishes, and fusion recipes such as quinua chaufa and nikkei tortilla. Housed in a restored adobe mansion with a courtyard, the restaurant provides an oasis away from the city's chaos.
When it comes to an experience this is the right place to go. Located in the San Isidro neighborhood in Lima Amoramar presents exceptional peruvian/chinese fusion gastronomy with emphasis on seafood. Every single dish was done perfectly and the service by Michael was truly exceptional. This is a must, not only for one time visit but for many

100/10. Incredible service and amazing food. I only ate based on the recommendations of the restaurants staff and they brought me incredible dishes and an outstanding dessert. Pictures attached of what they recommend.

Definetely one of the best restaurants in Lima. The food is very very delicious, portions are not big not little either. A little pricey but totally worth it. Thr arroz con Pato was the best I ever tried and the tiramisu of Pistacho is to die for 😋. It was a nice experience... it is located in the center of San Isidro distric and hard to find since it doesnt has a name outside. We had bad luck with a silly waiter, but in overall the time we spent there was enjoyable and I cant wait to visit it again.

The service was great! Really professional and kind waiters. I ate here the best ceviche in my trip Peru. Very well seasoned and balanced. The desserts were exellent and the pisco sour was great and well.

This is good food! Came here on my first lunch experience while traveling to PERU! And this was so fine!!!!! We ordered different dishes to try them out and my favorite was the BUN and the ceviche! The pulpo was also very good. Staff was very friendly. I wanted to repeat this experience but did not have enough time. Expensive but worth the money!

Cool modern spin on what I presume to be Peruvian cuisine. Fish used in dishes tasted fresh. Octopus was very nicely done. I really enjoyed the dish that had a corn pudding like item but forgot what it is called.

Food and atmosphere was top notch but the love did not reach the servers. Ceviche was excellent, scallops "on fire" were our favorite and the classic parmesan ones delicious too. Do order a Cesar and enjoy it... when it gets there... the waiters just need to better organized.

Amazing Experience, Peruvian food with quality ingredients, dishes are fresh and served very fast. There are many option of creative cocktails. We ordered 4 dishes and was enough for 2 people. The atmosphere is nice, ventilated, good music, clean, spacious and confortable tables. In resume was a pleasure to visit this restaurant and after-sell service was super excellent (we had an advices about our dish for take away and they sent to us the same dish to our place for free)

Canta Rana has become one of the top dining spots in Barranco, Lima. The restaurant is renowned for its delectable Peruvian cuisine, particularly its seafood dishes like ceviche and mixed seafood chicharron. However, it also offers a diverse menu including pasta and meat dishes to cater to different preferences. The casual ambiance attracts a mix of locals and tourists, creating a multicultural dining experience.
What a wonderful experience, to start our culinary journey through Peru 🇵🇪 from this excellent spot! Had the ceviche imperial de lenguado (fine flounder), grilled lenguado and caldo de blue mussels. Also tried their famous pisco sour (packs a punch, but I sipped it slowly through the meal. I'm seriously considering going back tomorrow for more ceviche!

It is a small, warm and friendly place. The menu is exclusively seafood, everything is fresh. The ambiance is very cozy. The football fans find here a lot of interesting items. The prices are reasonable.
Olga M — Google review
Recommended by a local, good food and good value! Love the ceviche, but I find the causa to be too saucy. Love the decor of a family restaurant, there is a story about the owner being from Argentina. The service can be slow and very little English is spoken, but it wasn't a problem ordering. Would definitely revisit when I come to Lima again.
Paul L — Google review
Be aware that the portion is big and expensive. We walked in because we thought it would be at the rate of the locals. It’s not. The ceviches are nice but the rice would be for 6-8 persons portion and charging at a whopping 50 (12 euros). The football part is fun though.
I-Hsuan L — Google review
The place looks very cool. I had a fish ceviche and it was good, but to be honest, not the best I've had - the soup itself had way too much lime/lemon juice, which made it too sour for my taste, compared to other places where I've tried it. Everything else was great.
Daniel T — Google review
My go to spot for ceviches and tiraditos in Lima, you must try their fish soup as well. Excellent quality products. My favorite : guarda royal + tiradito afogato especial.

Lovely place with very friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious and most portions were huge. I would love to go back!
Pari S — Google review
Stumbled upon this spot while wandering around Barranco — it popped up high in the reviews, and for good reason. Packed, buzzing, full of locals and curious travelers. The kind of place where a plastic menu doesn’t mean mediocre — it means tradition. A friendly local couple helped me order, and what landed on the table was nothing short of a seafood riot: 🐟 Tiradito de pescado — delicate slices of fish, bathed in a sunshine-yellow ají amarillo sauce. Creamy, spicy, citrusy — Peruvian sashimi with attitude. Choclo kernels on the side, because Peru never forgets the corn. 🦐 Camarones al ajillo — sizzling shrimp drowned in a garlicky oil bath, served still bubbling. We tore through bread just to mop up the sauce. 🌶️ That little pot of chili? Beautifully brutal. A few drops go a long way. Respect. 🍮 Suspiro Limeña — silky manjar blanco topped with a port wine meringue. Light, rich, sweet — it’s what you’d want to end a meal with when you’ve gone heavy on salt and spice. ⏳ I barely waited 10 minutes — lucky me. Others queued long and hard. Worth it? Absolutely. 💸 Not cheap — but seafood rarely is. You get your money’s worth in flavor and authenticity. 🪑 Vibe? Classic Peruvian cantina: walls full of football memorabilia, families and solo diners packed tight, and the waitstaff running at full tilt. Zero pretension. Just food. 📍Would I return? In a heartbeat.

La Bonbonniere Restaurant offers a unique dining experience with stunning ocean views. Despite some initial communication issues with the reservation, the friendly and accommodating staff made the wait worthwhile. The menu features delicious options, including a rich hot chocolate with a hint of orange that can be customized to personal preferences. However, some diners noted minor drawbacks such as undercooked food and small portion sizes for certain dishes.
I recently had lunch here and everything was amazing. We ordered the tequenos with guacamole which were amazing to start with and they are made with Andean cheese. For lunch, I highly recommend the sopa criolla, which has meat, noodles, fried egg, and it is made using ají panca but it’s not spicy. The service was great and our waiter, Juan Carlos, was very attentive. Hope to visit soon!

The place itself is super cute, the best tables are next to the window, the view is amazing. We ordered eggs benedict... our favourite. We were kind of in-shock, (and not in a good way) because the dish itself looked beautiful (a little salad on the side and a side of avocado) but it was only ONE egg on a toast! It looked so sad and small.. we had to order an extra egg... no bueno! Anyway, the meal was delicious and our server CANDY, was one of the highlights, she was very patient and super professional.

Loved our dinner here. Stellar setting - our table was on the patio with an incredible view (but was protected from wind). The gnocchi with Huancaina de Rocoto was absolutely delicious, fantastic sauce. And the Surf and Tuef Pasta was a perfect balance of flavours. Excellent service from Omar. Highly recommended.
Munro S — Google review
Ordered Aji de Gallina, big chunks of DRY chicken breast with the tiniest amount of sauce, dry tasteless rice and day old potatoes. Food quality was gone way done. Also, ordered a glass of water to dilute the incredible undrinkable extra sweet Chicha Morada 4 times until decided to get up go upstairs and get it myself. Will NOT return and not recomed not even for the view, the windows are so dirty you can’t even see the ocean anymore.
Jorge T — Google review
The views and atmosphere are nice (but other places in Larcomar offer the same). Not impressed by the food, presentation is nice, but flavours are minimal. Considering the cost we were expecting better. Came back for a second time (with a discount) - we had a better view, the food was a little better, but we still returned a drink, twice. The waiter changed the drink - no problem.

Lovely view of the ocean and blankets for your lap if you get cold. Great menu selections with some good classic breakfast items. Normal portion sizes (compared to the large portions across Lima). Good prices.

It prides itself on serving spectacular food prepared with locally sourced ingredients to create delicate and flavorful dishes. The name "Matria" reflects the chef's vision of nurturing the connection between gourmet dishes and the origin of their ingredients, emphasizing Mother Earth's influence.
This was our last meal in Peru. We ordered just three dishes—and loved every one of them!
Anni C — Google review
The food is good, fairly innovative actually, and its a good place to share dishes. But its also expensive so quality needs to be like this… poor wine list. Sad that this place has 0 ambience, music is loud and kind of does not fit. Terrace is not inviting. Inside is kind of dark and for that hour of day there were basically no people. Staff too complicated which probably not their fault… For a place of this price should be more flexible in order taking... Don’t think i will return.
Ma J — Google review
The restaurant was okay overall. I ordered a fish, which came deep fried even though neither the menu nor the server mentioned it would be. The portion was decent for an appetizer, but the dish itself wasn’t very memorable. The octopus however was excellent. easily a 9/10 if you enjoy octopus with a sweet style sauce. The maracuya “juice” was disappointing, about 80% ice and tasting more like lightly flavored water than real juice. Service was so so. Despite the restaurant only having a few occupied tables and several servers standing around I had to wait many times to get attention. The servers also never asked if I liked the food or if anything was wrong. The menu seems hit or miss. The table next to me say they really enjoyed their food.

Great place to dine in. Food, service are excellent. We went there at a Friday night, due to national holiday the place is less crowded than most of the time. La Picantería is a renowned restaurant in Lima that offers cuisine from Arequipa, Peru's charming third city located in the southern Andean foothills. In Arequipa, picanterias are a way of life and typically open only for lunch, serving a variety of dishes including seafood and meaty options like chicharron (fried pork).
La Picantería is a gem in Lima. The vibe is super relaxed, with bright-colored walls, rustic decor, and a really authentic, welcoming atmosphere. Perfect for going with friends or for a more chill lunch. The food was amazing: we had a super fresh salad with avocado, tomato, and lettuce, and a fish dish with golden potatoes in an incredible sauce full of crispy garlic and chili. Everything was beautifully presented and full of flavor. They also have a great little bar area with a nice wine selection and cocktails — it adds a cool, lively touch to the experience without being overwhelming. The glass of white wine we had was the perfect match for the food. Definitely a place I’ll come back to and keep exploring. Highly recommend!

Nothing extraordinary! Waiting time 40min. I think they prioritise locals over tourists although no reservations are possible. No English menu but some staff speaks English and helped us with the order. The concept is to choose the fish/seafood and the cooking method. The kitchen is downstairs which is not very efficient for a restaurant especially when they don’t have a lift for the food. Staffs need to go down and up all the time. Extremely loud music. The dishes arrived quickly and seemed to be fresh. Not bad seafood but I think some are overpriced compared to the same food we can find in Europe (especially lobster ~€65/kg) Too small plates to eat the dishes, zero service to replace or give tissues.

La Vista in the JW Marriott at La Plaza de Salazar. I might call this a VERY good overpriced hotel restaurant (but also worth eating at). I showed up on a weekend and they tried to push me to the buffet which looked incredible and even included a chocolate fountain. But instead I ordered the Ensalada del Campo which had candied almonds (my new favorite), cubed Brie, and these marinated skinned apples that were amazing! The Pescado Costeros was also wonderful. It was served in a puréed Lima bean - shrimp bisque sauce. Sergio, my server, threw in a shrimp cocktail from the buffet that I didn’t partake in. La Vista had an incredible desert collection including the chocolate fountain! My meal was $56 USD including tip.

La Linterna is a renowned pizza place in Lima, offering over thirty different pizza options. Their menu highlights their namesake pizza with ham, salami, smoked Spanish chorizo, and mushrooms. Other notable creations include the Andrea with pepperoni, bell peppers, and white onions; the Pescatore featuring prawns, capers, and pepperoncino; and the Rumana topped with smoked loin ham, caramelized onions, and parsley.
The pizzas are the best I’ve had in Peru. Thin crust loaded with top tier ham, mushrooms, cheese. I had a Negroni and we shared a bottle of Chianti.

We wanted to try some pizza so we visited La Linterna. I was told their crust is very, very thin and I admit, I didn't know crust could be that thin. That's not good or bad, but if you like thick crust, this might not be the place for you. The pizza was good, not wow, but good. The pasta was very good.
Jason H — Google review
The sause tasted canned, the pasta wasn't cooked all the way and shrimp seemed like an afterthought that was added. When I was asked if I liked the food, I told them no. Really disappointed. Group of 6 with a 6 month old baby. We booked a table and mentioned we had a baby. We arrived less than ten minutes late and they gave our table away. They didn't bother to contact us and ask if we were still coming. They then said 30 to 40 minutes wait for a table. We ended up waiting 1.5 hours with a baby. If we had known it was going to be a 1.5 hour wait we would have gone somewhere else.

The Mattoni restaurant offers excellent Italian food with great service. The waiters are very attentive and speak English which helps. Parking is right outside the restaurant.
The food was great and the prices were as good too. The service was AMAZING from the start. The waiter was really kind and polite. We asked for a pizzetta stracciatella as entree. Then we ordered fettuccine al filetto and fusilli al funghi both were delicious. The background music was great too there was a little duet playing pop music but in classical style very Bridgerton lol 5/5

I just had the best breakfast, possibly, in my entire life!! My husband and love this restaurant. I got the deviled eggs which are like Turkish shashuka but oh so better. Perfectly cooked in a skillet with spinach and mushrooms and buttery soft yolks make a delightful mouth bite! My husband got the pancakes with marscapone and they were amazing. Light, fluffy with gorgeous syrup, and just the right size to devour!! We also got the meatball sandwich. My Italian mother-in-law would be amazed as they taste like her recipe! I would give this place a million stars if I could!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Arguably the best pecan pie I've ever had (and I've had them all over the USA). I tried pecan pies and other pecan desserts from about 10 places in Lima and this is the best. So good, I had to go back again. What makes this pecan pie so good is that instead of using the cheap "goo" filling with just a layer of pecans on top, they use a filling that has more pecans mixed in. Delicious!

Blue Moon has been a staple since 1966, known for its vast buffet and inviting atmosphere. The walls and ceiling are adorned with an impressive collection of liquor bottles, creating a unique ambiance. Visitors can enjoy a diverse buffet featuring over 90 dishes from 1pm to 5pm, influenced by Sicilian cuisine. With over 5,000 bottles on display, the venue feels like a museum. It's an affordable option for high-quality food prepared by a skilled chef.
This place was amazing! The owner showed us around and it was like walking around in a museum. They have over 5,000 bottles that fill the walls and decor of the place. They have an incredible buffet from 1pm-5pm with over 90 plate varieties. Siciliano influence. It's worth a visit!

The restaurant is overall good, with great food and a unique, charming decor. However, there are two points worth mentioning: 1. The bruschetta was far from what I’m used to in Italy. Maybe the cheese topping is a regional variation, but it was quite different from the classic bruschetta I’m familiar with. 2. A bottle of red wine was placed on the table without being asked for or given any information about the price. I briefly left the table, and when I returned, there was a bottle of wine costing well over 200 soles. Since I was on a date, I felt I had no choice but to drink it. Apparently, the woman I was with was asked, but I still find it quite bold to place an expensive bottle on the table unprompted, as if it were the most normal thing in the world to spend over 200 soles on wine in Peru. That being said, the service was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and professional. But this unasked upselling is not good! Overall, it was a solid experience, but due to these two issues, I won’t be returning.

Food was alright. We ordered bruschetta as an appetizer and it was just melted cheese on a piece of regular white bread. We also tried to order three different wines on the menu, which they didn't have apparently, and they tried to suggest wine for double the price. The lasagna and cannelloni were decent.

About food: it was amazing our dishes Canelones and Gnocchis, and carpaccio. About service: HORRIBLE with uppercase letters, we ordered 2 small pisco sours when we asked for the bill, the waiter told us "did you order a dessert? and no, so he gave us the bill and in the detail said "Pisco sour grande" I told the old man that we requested the small ones, and he answered "Most people here order the big one and I brought that" and leave the table and call another guy to collect the bill, this is the first time that I experience something like this in whole Peru, that the reason to tell you "check each dish that you order when you receive on your table" About the atmosphere: It is a quiet place where you can have nice dates or family conversations and enjoy a nice food In conclusion: The service should improve as soon as possible because you can't deny that the people ordered and think by yourself (for the waiter, it was the old man), this is the first time that I have experienced a situation like this in Perú (Cuzco, Mancora, Piura, and Lima).

Trattoria Pizzeria El Italiano is a renowned restaurant known for its dedication to crafting authentic Italian pizza. The warm wood interior and open kitchen provide a cozy atmosphere where diners can observe the chefs at work. The menu, while limited, offers classic Italian pizzas of top quality. Located in Lima's historic center, the restaurant also serves excellent Ossobuco and sangria in a relaxed setting, making it an ideal stop after exploring the area.
Excellent Osobuco, all sorts of pasta dishes and pizza at very reasonable prices. The dessert options are excellent. The place opens at 1pm and the tables fill up fast. They don't take reservations. Highly recommended.

Cozy, warm, and good. If I lived near it I would definitely have it as a favorite spot for family meals and special occasions. The pizza is delicious, the garlic bread is not the usual bread but still tasty. The ambiance was like an old pizzeria, which set the tone for a great moment.

This place is very good they have great pizzas and offer a good array of pastas, sauces and salads. Theyalso offer dishes with fresh pasta. The ambient is nice and cozy giving it a homey feel in the first ambient while the second one has more space and big tables for going large groups for birthdays or other celebrations.

The food was delicious! I accidentally ordered a meal with alfredo sauce and since I'm lactose intolerant I can't eat it. They were great and remade my dish with oil and it was fantastic. My friends loved their ravioli and tortellini dishes. Dessert was great too. We had the chocolate covered cream puffs. Mmmm. The only downside is that it did get very hot in there. Sangria was made with chopped up apples and very sweet. We still enjoyed it though.

Punto Italiano is a well-known Italian restaurant in Lima, with a new location in La Molina. Their menu features dishes from Sardegna and other Italian regions, such as Pesto Genovese, Pesce alla Livornese, Sogliola alla Boscaiola or alla Mugnaia, and Ossobuco with Peruvian ingredients. The restaurant also offers a variety of affordable and delicious pizzas that many locals consider the best in Lima.
Very good and very fair prices… Pizza is good… we always get the Margarita so I can’t elaborate more than that. If you can make a good margarita you can make good pizza. We’ve been eating our way through the pasta menu and so far we haven’t been disappointed. I grew up in a house where we made fresh pasta so…. I’m not gonna eat low rent BS. The Bruschetta is the best I’ve had with a thing spread of Basil pesto and then a generous layer of tomato. The Limoncello could start a Ferrari and that’s how it should be! Most of all… the house wine pours are ridiculous! It’s a two for one… Best value and all around Italian Gastro in La Moline and possibly Lima.

The restaraunt is not a good place to each lunch. There is a lunch menu at the location in Surco, but no lunch menu in La Molina. We eat at the location in Surco almost weekly, but decided to walk out of the location in La Molina when we learned there is indeed a lunch menu, but only for people from USIL. We will drop this restaurant from our normal places to eat lunch, and dinner.

No a good pizza! We ordered a " 4 stagione" ham, mushrooms and artichokes but instead it was fill with green olives ( looks the same like the ones in a can) barely ham and mushroom and some slices of some type of vegetable that didn't have no flavor ( looks boiled) very disgusting and no flavor it all. Kulcafé, located near Calle Berlin in Miraflores, is a cozy spot with German influences. The café offers German beers, apfelstrudel, and kassekuche at affordable prices. While the sandwiches may be basic, the desserts are highly recommended – especially the cake. The café's convenient location near Parque Kennedy adds to its appeal despite its somewhat dark ambiance and less comfortable seating.
Wonderful vegan-friendly coffee shop. It offers a wide variety options for brunch and tea time, including German appetizers and desserts. Vegan juices and desserts are available. Nice atmosphere, attentive personnel.

Loved this place! The food was really good and they have german beer. Apart from the menu, they also have 2 beers and 2 pretzels for s/45. The pretzel could have been a bit bigger and softer but I really liked the flavor.

Kulcafé was a cool café! Right off a main street in Miraflores, this café had a nice eclectic vibe with unique chairs, couches, tables, and dishes. The tea was served in a big teapot, definitely enough for 2 people and the herbs were all fresh, rather than served in a bag - which added a fresh delicious twist to the tea drinking experience. The flat white was delicious and creamy. We did not order food but it all looked delicious. The servers were also incredibly friendly and helpful with their menu. Worth a walk to visit!

Vegan restaurant
Located in the Miraflores district of Lima, Peru, Seitan Urban Bistro has transformed from a simple vegan restaurant into a modern bistro offering international and French-inspired plant-based Peruvian cuisine. The establishment provides a fresh and healthy approach to dining with creative and delicious meals that cater to both vegans and omnivores. With an upscale atmosphere, it offers a refined dining experience featuring dishes such as BBQ cauliflower wings and vegan sushi specials on Saturday nights.
Seitan Urban Bistro offers a quality experience. The staff is very receptive and friendly. The place is glamorous and the food delicious. I had the chance to try the traditional ceviche as entry and a sauteed rice with tofu as a main. Both delicious! The desert, a refreshing maracumango cheesecake. Good job to the whole Bistro team!
Marcos M — Google review
We thought the food at Seitan was great. Lots of plant based versions of Peruvian staples including lomo saltado and ceviche (both were very tasty). Full bar, large space that was mostly empty when we came for dinner. We ordered a ceviche, lomo saltado, and the KFC. Next time would skip the KFC (it was just OK), but the other two dishes were excellent. While the food was tasty, the service was lacking (especially for the price). The waiter spent most of the time on her phone and every time we needed something we had to call out to flag her down.

Super great for when you want some vegan comfort food! The service is fast and the waiter was very friendly. The serving sizes are plenty big and the food replicates many tradition favorites. We had our first meal at this authentic vegan Peruvian restaurant and were blown away! Our server, Sebastian, made the experience even more memorable—he was warm, humorous, and incredibly welcoming from the start. He gave us thoughtful recommendations and made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious, full of bold flavors and beautifully presented. The kitchen was also very accommodating with food allergies, which we truly appreciated. Every dish felt crafted with care. Highly recommend this spot—not just for the amazing food, but for the genuinely kind and hospitable service. We’ll definitely be back!

Seitan Urban Bistro excels in creating vegan dishes that are not only visually appealing but also packed with flavor. I was blown away with the kombucha, which is something I don’t usually drink but maracuyá mango Qambo was delicious with the right amount of sweet and less tangy. Fettuccine saltado was excellent as well as the Alitas BBQ. The use of seitan as a primary protein source is skillfully executed, making it a fantastic option for both vegans and non-vegans alike who are looking to explore plant-based cuisine. The restaurant’s attention to detail and commitment to high-quality ingredients make it a must-visit spot for anyone seeking delicious and innovative vegan food.

(Translated by Google) It is a first-class restaurant, with a good atmosphere (decoration and music), and it also has good service; The latter is due to the kindness of the people, but not because they were attentive all the time, despite the fact that there were no more than 3 diners. As for the food, it leaves a lot to be desired, since while it is true that it is good, it is not up to the price you pay for it; In my case, I paid S/ 79.90 for a disappointing buffet format. I say it that way, since you have to finish the dish to order another, for which you have to wait a long time, as if you had all day to eat; The worst thing is that they limit your time, in case time is not a problem for you. In conclusion, it is a good restaurant in general terms, but for the price you can get something much better. I disliked that the wine glass I ordered was brought served to the table instead of bringing the bottle and serving it at the table. The food lacked salt, was kinda meh. During the course of the meal 3 different servers offered assistance, lacking consistency. There is in fact a charge of 9 soles per person for tablecloth? And 'courtesy' bread. The place is pretty but I would not return. When I asked for the check it took forever and they brought a other table's check.

The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. The food is outstanding, with fresh ingredients and a deliciously authentic taste. The ambiance is cozy and intimate, perfect for a group, friends, family, business or romantic dinner. Overall, is a fantastic restaurant that I would definitely visit again and recommend to anyone looking for a great Italian dining experience.

Great Italian food and service. The ambiance and music are perfect. Wines are on the pricey side. No easy entrance for people with disabilities.
Julio B — Google review
Our server deliver a wrong appetizer and never took it out of our tables and never informed us that he was charging us for it, when the check came he said that if we did not pay it, he will pay it from his paycheck because it was his mistake, we will never had a problem paying for the appetizer if he had informed us about the charge and a polite manner, it was a horrible experience, we obviously paid for the appetizer because he said otherwise “the restaurant wouldn’t do it and he will have to pay it” please train your personnel better and rob your customers in that way. We buy different plates and a bottle of wine, we were spending money.
Fiorella — Google review
Resturant is located right in front of an intersection where the red light is on for 5+ minutes. For some reason they can not keep the reservation when when you are on the way. Don’t understand why but the second it hits the limit it cancels everything. So if you want to eat here arrive minimum 1 hour early as they will make no exceptions.

Veggie Pizza is a delightful culinary gem located in Lima, dedicated to serving up gourmet plant-based pizzas that cater to health-conscious diners. The restaurant stands out with its commitment to fresh ingredients and low-fat dairy options, creating a menu that’s both delicious and nutritious. With three upscale locations in the Miraflores neighborhood, Veggie Pizza boasts an inviting atmosphere adorned with impressive wine racks. The pizzeria offers an array of vegan and vegetarian toppings, allowing for creative combinations that elevate your pizza experience.
Delicious pizza! The variety of flavours is amazing. The textures are also fun and different, not your typical pizza but that also does not mean it's bad. Finding gluten free vegan options this good in Lima is not easy!! The staff are also kind and attentive. Beautiful space.
Greta M — Google review
When it comes to pizza, everyone has a different taste. But for me, this one was better than expected. Especially when it comes to vegan version. They make their own with cashew cheese. Delicious. Thin and crisp crust with fresh ingredients. Lots of options to choose from or pick your own toppings to customize. Great job!
Marcos M — Google review
I ordered delivery via rappi, not only did my food arrive cold (they are literally only blocks away from my apartment) they delivered portions that do not match with what is offered and charged me as if they did. The brownie is a sliver of almost nothing. If you want to be ripped off this is the place for you. Never again.
Sol M — Google review
We got a pizza with 4 different flavours today. It was absolutely delicious!! I can recommend the flavours with tomato confit - it’s sweet and salty! Very nice combination.
Linda K — Google review
The best thing is the squirrel that lives in the tree in the middle of the restaurant. I had high hopes for this place, but the pizza crust was an awful cracker. It’s sad that such a good idea of a restaurant was so poorly executed.

Fully vegetarian, all options available with vegan home made cheese as well Very cousy place in central Barranco. Great selection of artesanal beer, and very interesting choices of pizzas. The pizzas are not traditional pizzas, but a kind of innovative gourmet style Pizza. A must try, highly recommended!

For gluten free pizza, I though they created a nice balance of flavors and textures. Liked the bit of crunch on the edges and the softer pieces in the middle. Great setting and service!

Italian restaurant
Trattoria Italia is a classic trattoria with a cozy ambiance that has been serving Italian-Peruvian cuisine since 1956. Originally a bar, it transitioned to offering delicious Italian dishes under new ownership. Despite its unassuming location, the restaurant is known for its excellent service and delectable food. Visitors praise the attentive staff and recommend trying the antipasti as it's particularly delightful.
Great atmosphere and food, but what really stole the show was our server Martin. He recommended the pizza prosciutto e burrata and the rigatoni tartufo which were both fantastic. Can’t wait to go visit again!

Old-style trattoria with a warm atmosphere. They offer a variety of Italian-Peruvian dishes, as well as desserts and coffee. Excellent service, very attentive personnel. Location is not good at all, but if you happen to be around that area, you should visit this place.

La Mar Cevichería Peruana, a seafood temple founded by Gaston Acurio, is a must-visit spot in Lima to savor the country's national dish, ceviche. The restaurant boasts a stylish design and attracts trendy locals and tourists alike. It's best to visit during lunchtime as it follows the Peruvian tradition of not serving ceviche at night.
Definitely a super popular spot in Lima. Went there a bit passed noon and the house was already full. Food was amazing! I got the grilled half octopus and it was delicious and tasty! One of the best octopuses I have had so far. My friend got pasta and she enjoyed it as well. Also tried the starter fried empanadas with seafood filling, it was very good! Overall a great place and definitely a MUST go if you are visiting Lima.

Amazing decor, very beautiful with extremely friendly host/ staff. Mario, our waiter was absolutely amazing. He was so attentive and very good recommending dishes and explaining in detail everything. Our food was exceptional. For starters we were given this amazing chips with amazing sauces. The green one was my favorite and the corn was so amazing and addicting. Then we ordered the trio ceviche. It was so fresh and beautifully represented and then we had the grilled octopus which was simply amazing. I would definitely go back and recommend going there if you visiting Lima.
SuzyQ M — Google review
The atmosphere is very lively and full of energy! Super fresh seafood, I like that they have lots of options that are small bite sized plates, and i tried a bunch of different things, all delicious! You could easily spend a few hours here with friends drinking cocktails and having a slow lunch.

Flor was our server and she was incredible! With a menu as large as this it was a bit difficult to decide what I wanted when it all looked so good however Flor took us through the menu and explains every dish while providing recommendations of her own. When we arrived they sat us down in the waiting area for a very short bit and provided a complimentary snack for us as well. The drinks were sublime, the food was out of this world. 10/10 would definitely go again!!

Vibes in this restaurant are awesome. It’s very open, the restaurant is bustling, and seeing the fresh fish at the bar is a great touch. The food is fresh and the quality of the fish is fantastic. The service is fast and attentive as well, even with how busy it gets. It’s an elevated dining experience in a casual setting. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Peru.

If you are visiting Lima, Peru, I cannot recommend La Mar Cevichería enough. In fact, if you have more than one day in the city, I suggest going twice—there are simply too many amazing dishes to experience in a single sitting. The menu is extensive, and everything we tried was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Be prepared for a wait—around 30 to 45 minutes at lunchtime and often longer during dinner since they don’t take reservations. Fortunately, the staff makes the wait pleasant. There is outdoor seating where you can relax, snack on toasted corn (“conchitas”), and enjoy a drink from the bar until your table is ready. We went as a group of twelve, which gave us the chance to sample many different dishes. My favorites included the crab claws, priced individually at around $6 each. They are not your typical claws—more like delicate portions of sweet crab meat shaped into a ball, about half the size of a Twinkie. I also enjoyed a light avocado-based mixed salad and the Saltado with pescado y langostinos (fish and shrimp), which was absolutely delicious. My mother ordered the lomo saltado, another must-try classic. The restaurant also offers impressive grilled seafood platters with shrimp, octopus, shellfish, and fish—perfect for sharing. If you enjoy your meal as much as we did, check out their cookbook, branded aprons, and other souvenirs. For dessert, the warm chocolate cake was rich, moist, and decadent—an ideal way to end a memorable meal. The ambiance is rustic, casual, and welcoming, with nautical touches that make it feel like a chic beachside spot. Lamar Cevichería is absolutely worth the visit.
Tulio B — Google review
This is my third time in Lima and second time trying La Mar. Very disappointed again. I thought last time I didn’t order the right food so I came with some study done. I arrived with high hopes. The oyster was fishy and the dressing was salty soy sauce (are you serious?) the octopus and the pasta were very salty (the steak in the pasta was very good). When I mentioned this to the waitress while I was tipping her, she wasn’t very interested to learn more. in return. She said “yah?” There are better choices for similar restaurant. Lima has many decent restaurants. Just be careful so you don’t waste your meal opportunity in Lima.

we came here after seeing on tv for the buffet so got here and got told buffet is only on Sundays. so we all opted to dine fine tonight since our holiday has come to a close end. so we (5 of us and our other buddy opeted for a la carte which was more expensive for his 3 course and a drink) chose each the 139.00 soles 6 course taster menu. 0. our Hulk Lemonade drink was nice. don't leave it for too long otherwise it will be very bland diluted. 4☆ we had some complimentary flat pastry with avocado dip to nibble which was lovely. 4☆ 1. came the starter cappuccino bean soup which was very cute and interesting, good flavour. 4☆ 2. cubed ceviche in a shell dish was cute but the cube cutting wasn't for my liking. 2.5☆ 3.cheesy scallops was very SALTY. 2☆ 4.grilled lemon chicken with rice was lovely but too much acidity on the chicken for me. 2.5☆ 5. quinua flat seafood sashimi alike was lovely presented also but I didn't like the combination taste. 2☆ 6.lomo saltado was lovely presented but was wayyy too SALTY and the beef was too bloody undercooked to my liking....should asked how well done we would liked our beef preferences were. 2☆ and lastly the Orange iced with syrup crown sponge cake dessert was the most delicious dish of the entire meal set. it was perfect. not too sweet. I loved it. 5☆ presentation for all dishes were 5☆. staff attentiveness was 5☆

It's a nice place, the food is pretty good, but it's not my favorite restaurant. Prices are really too high, even though we had 50% off. The service is great.
Delphina — Google review
Great service and flavorful food but I got sick from some ceviche or tiradito we ate there. I am aware this can happen but seafood restaurants must be on top of their fresh food. Ambiance is nice and chef is very nice too. Prices can add up. We had no alcoholic drinks and bill was not the best value compared to other places in that same area.
Laurencio R — Google review
Ok'ish, but not more: The food - though pricey compared to places with similar quality - was a little bit bland. Especially the mixed seafood sampler was drowned in garlic oil, the octopus and shrimp didn't taste very fresh. One of the more disappointing lunch experiences in Lima.
Barny M — Google review
Simple menu with a great taste! Traditional Peruvian cousine with a gourmet twist. Pisco sours were great, as well as the food. Nice environment and welcoming service. Around PEN100 per person (like UDD30, one main course and a pisco sour). I will definitely go again

Every time I am in Lima I go to this amazing restaurant founded by Cristian Bravo it is the ultimate place to experience the wide variety of traditional Peruvian foods by this master chef. The Asian, European and native Indian cultures that make Peru so special are also found in the food. Peru is not just Ceviche it is Lomo Saltado or Arroz con marisco with Leche De Tigre or Chicha Morada . Let Bravo show you the true Peru and don't be afraid to ask questions the staff is superior In every way and can tell you the history or story behind the food. The presentation and atmosphere are perfect. I recommended Bravo's to all my friends, family and clients. 5 Stars Mike Harkins & Estella Zamora
