We had a small selection of dim sum and bbq duck noodle soup. Btw we are from Toronto Canada so we are use to good quality Chinese food. We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of their food. The bbq duck was flavourful and lean and tender....not easy to make. A comfortable place to relax and enjoy the food.

When the Asian food cravings hit… this place delivered! 🍜✨ After weeks of traveling around Europe, I was so ready for a flavor change. My husband found this Bib Gourmand Chinese restaurant — it’s actually a floating restaurant near Amsterdam Central Station, which already makes it pretty unique! The decor was classic and ornate, full of traditional Chinese touches I honestly didn’t expect in the middle of Amsterdam. We were seated right away at a lovely window table with tons of natural light and a beautiful water view — perfect for watching boats and canal cruises drift by while we ate. We started with a couple of drinks and a pot of hot chrysanthemum tea, then ordered Mapo Tofu, Eggplant Clay Pot, and Yang Chow Fried Rice. Everything hit the spot and totally cured my Asian food cravings. I’d say the flavors are about San Francisco suburban-level good — not quite SF Chinatown-tier, but definitely solid. A strong 4 out of 5 from me! Outside it was cold and dreary, but inside we were cozy, sipping hot tea and digging into spicy Mapo Tofu — pure comfort. ❤️ Now, about the price… let’s just say, they’ll remind you you’re in Amsterdam! 😂 What would’ve been a $50 meal in the States came out to around $130 USD, but honestly, for that warm, satisfying moment, it was worth every bite.

Typical Asian atmosphere. Food is delicious but abit pricey sadly that’s why I removed a star. the staff are nice and English speaker, they help you and guide u through the menu. Location is close to central station and other shops. Great place for a date :)

I always thought this was more for tourists to go for food. And I appologize for that thought because every local should go here. The food is very tasteful and of high quality. We had a shared dining with Dim Sum and Peking duck. The portions are big and a good variety. The Peking duck is very good and huge so you can share one with 6 persons if you combine it with some vegetables and noodles. Juicy and soft meat with the nice crispy crust. You order with a QR code and the food comes rather quickly. We had as a family a wonderful evening at the rond table looking over the canal.

Lots of tables, easy ordering -via phone/QR code-, I had the duck bao buns, pan fried dumplings, shrimp and pork steamed dumplings: they were all delicious. Staff is friendly, price correspond to quality and water view/location. I enjoyed my meal and ambiance very much.

It was our second to last night in Amsterdam and we were looking for some Chinese cuisine. So, we landed in this place and were not disappointed with our overall experience there. We ordered Chilli Beef, Rice, Dim sum, Beer and Wine. The food was tasty, specially the Dim Sum which we liked the most. We also liked the Beef but it could have been a bit spicier. The service was welcoming and quick. Efforts were visible to make things look authentic as much as possible. The place is super comfortable and with a potential view of one of Amsterdam's famous canals. We could manage one and it made our dinner special. You can definitely give this place a try.

Good location, we had a whole lobster 🦞 and Dim Sum plus desserts. We only got one cutlery for 1 person, but we got some more after asking for it. We weren't informed that desserts will come altogether with the other food. It has been served immediately...so the coconut rabbits 🥥 🐇 🐇 and mango pudding 🍮 came first we wondered. The food was very good 👍🏻 Thank you. We would like to come again and order dessert at the end🤣

I enjoyed the food here, one of the best chinese restaurant in Amsterdam. It has the canal view that is very lovely and romantic in the evening, very close to the center and easily accessible. I would recommend the stewed beef chu hou & pecking duck dish, also sticky rice with lotus. Highly recommend

Every piece was way bigger than expected, and we ended up extremely full. Was really exciting to try all new dishes, and would love to try more next time. Favorite one so far was definitely the steamed glutinous sesame dessert.

Overpriced compare with quality and taste. Water is more expensive than Switzerland 😀 The taste of fried noodles (vermicelli) is weird since they use curry I think. Shrimp is small and only few. It’s not like Singapore vermicelli fried. The 3 meats menu is good. The pakchoy (vegetable) is also good taste, not overcooked. The tofu is so-so The portion is big. So, make sure it’s for sharing 😀

i liked the food and people are very nice. we were sitting near the door though, there was a draft sometimes. the mushroom buns were super cute. it's great that you get a whole bowl of dipping sauce for the jellyfish with egg. my fav sauce in the world I would drink it if it wouldn't dissolve my stomache membrane

Place is packed with tourists. Its a bit pricey but the food is good. We ordered alot. And we ate all of that food. Theyre also offering menusets and ala-carte options. They're pork dumplings ia so big! Try that one.

The restaurant looks nice, small plates type. Service was a bit slow, it was quite hard to get the server's attention (server's always changed). I felt like it was a bit of a rip-off, servers were pointing out the most expensive stuff on the menu and prices are too high for what you get. Ramen - not very tasty Burger - delicious Dim sum - delicious Juice - delicious

Good Asian Restaurant in Amsterdam. Really enjoyed the bao buns. The staff was quick, attentive and friendly. Besides the bao buns and the dumplings (dim sum) we also had some red curry, spring rolls and the pad thai. The pad thai was my least favourite but still good. Overall a great place. Worth a visit if you are in Amsterdam. They also have other locations in the city.

What a fun and literally joyful establishment! The decor is enough to bring a smile on ones face. Add to that the good service and delicious variations on Asian streetfood and you will definitely leave happy. There are enough great options for vegetarians. Definitely a must. Thumbs up!

Variety of food (Thai, Indonesian, Malay and Chinese) to choose from the different courses. Food was good but the service of the staff stood out as very friendly and helpful as they also accomodated my request to replace the baby corn with the bamboo shoots in one of my dish. Recommended for a nice Asian cuisine experience.

A mix of dishes from Asian countries. Best dim sum I've had in amsterdam. The crispy shrimp balls were amazing, so were the steamed scallop dumplings. If you've got room go for a dessert you won't be disappointed.

Insanely good food. Beyond expectations. Service was fine, not great. Interior is a bit cheap, however it fits the vibe. Prices are a little pricey, but worth the taste.

The best sushi I ever had. Service was very quick and amiente is nice. It is pricey but so worth it. Reservation is a must. I would 100% recommend and want to eat here again.

I really wanted to try this one, but it compared to my expectations, it was okay. The staff were kind, and the atmosphere. Some menus were brilliant but some were not so special. Overall it’s not too good investment for the high price. But if you’re feeling rich, or have already had dinner and are looking for quality bites with drinks. It’s worth visiting

What a treat! This place was packed a Sunday evening in October, that’s a good sign of a great place. They have a huge selection of Asian dishes with an interesting twist. Winner was the two times tuna, Korean bbq beef and the Cuban cigar dessert. I will definitely come back here again

At A-Fusion in Amsterdam you’ll find more than sushi — one highlight was the oysters: small, elegant, served with a delicate yuzu-pearl garnish. They set the tone for a night of creative Asian fusion — Chinese, Thai, Japanese influences all on one menu. Just a tiny thing: the dish has only three oysters, so if you’re a big fan, you might want to get two portions. I ended up with three, but I should have ordered at least five—it was too late to add extras. We had a reservation for 10 PM, and we were a bit late, but they still let us in and took such good care of us. But hey, with the oysters, sushi, dumplings, and grilled skewers, we were super happy and already dreaming of coming back!

Great food, interesting pairings. Service was quick and efficient. Food arrived quickly. Korean BBQ Beef was my favorite, served searing hot. Shrimp dynamite was nice. Seabass was cooked perfectly. Overall - very satisfied.

Decent overall dining experience. Excellent friendly and prompt service. The Bib Gourmand pre-set menu was perfect for a party of 2. Soup dumplings were the highlight in the menu, and the pancakes were a miss. This is probably a mid-range dining place in terms of ambience, pricing is based on a high-end place (€8 for a bottle of water!). Overall pretty decent dining experience.

Was my favorite Chinese bakery in the neighborhood for years , and with time it became one of my favorite restaurants too ! Im glad it’s next to my home , nice food with fair prices and friendly service !!i have some fotos from my first few visits and some from the new !! I love this place

After a long journey in Europe, this is the very first Chinese meal we’re looking for. The foods were very good but we had to wait for around 10 minutes to seating. The small entrance door is chaos as there are 2 lines for the restaurant and the takeaway bakery. Once we sit in the restaurant area, we can’t order the bakery to eat at our table only takeaway.

Was scrolling through older photos and realized that I had not left a review for this place. Was here for lunch on August 29, 2025 with two other people. This review pertains to the restaurant and not the bakery. Mediocre dim sum overall. Ordered a variety of dishes, one of which was the spare ribs with black beans. The meat smelled bad. We tasted it and it had definitely gone bad. They had served spoiled meat. We sent it back. The server came back saying, "it's supposed to be like that." Wow. The nerve they had to outright lie, but I guess they were trying to cover their mistake. About 30 min later, saw another group sitting in the corner also send back the spare ribs dish. The two of us that each tried a piece of the dish had digestive issues later in the day as a result. The rest of the dishes were only just ok. Passable, but not good. Aside from the incident, the service was good. Prices are reasonable.

I went there around 5pm because I got a train at 6:30 so no reservation at that time, but the waiter was nice to give me a table. However the foods are just basic…. The siumai are good , the chicken feet basic , the xiaolongbao basic as well and there is the black beans steamed porc ribs that came in the end but it was not good…. I don’t recommend it , but for the dumplings soup is okay for the price If you expect a 10/10 , it’s just a 6.8/10 体验可以，但不太值得

Best savoury buns in town! The little bakery serves sweet and savoury pastries such as pork buns and muffins and they're not expensive. The perfect snack.

The pastries are not warm. However, the Swiss rolls and the little sponge cakes are very moist and soft with the right amount of sweetness. The "pineapple" buns are also soft and chewy even though the "pineapple" flakes are not crispy. The "old wife" cake is ok. They open at noon but they are pretty busy. The pastries are pretty much gone at about 3 pm.

The food portions are generous and very tasty. The ambiance is pleasant, and the staff are attentive and friendly. My personal favorites are the beef stir-fry with mushrooms, the hor fun (especially with a bit of chili—delicious!), the mango bingsu, and the taro bubble tea.

I found this place by chance as you wouldn’t stumble upon it. The service was nice and the staff were very attentive to us. The restaurant is nicely decelerated and has a good bathroom. I had the dim sum lunch special which had the dim sum platter, fried rice, and a drink. It was €16,50 which was a great price. All the food was very tasty. I absolutely reckoned coming here.

I am sure there are people that really enjoy the food here, but none of what we ordered was good, sadly. The dumplings with chicken seemed off, the soup was not great and even a simple dish as egg fried rice with chicken was below par. We did not finish any of it despite being hungry.

Quality, quantity, price, and atmosphere plus service was great. Was there for dimsum lunch and family dinner at night. Decent place! Just stairs are steep… take your time

Came here for lunch. Everything is delicious - especially loved the Xiao Long Bao, Siu Mai, and the steamed rice crepe with shrimp. Pretty calm during lunch hours. Can recommend anyone to try this pleace out.

Very good dim sum. The highlight was the har gao which is my test for a dim sum restaurant. Shrimp pieces were large so that the filling retains the texture of shrimp. I don’t trust restaurants that use finely minced filling that suggest scraps have been used. The chicken siu mai was good too. Not rubbery and overcooked as siu mai sometimes can be. Stuffed aubergine was deep fried rather than the pan fried cantonese version I am used to. I am always happy to see dim wrapped in tofu skins on a menu, as these are unusual. However the steamed parcels with carrot, chicken and shitake were disappointingly bland. I am more accustomed to the fried tofu skins rolls. I was sorry to see too late that my favourite xiao long bao (broth filled Shanghai dumplings) were offered. They were hidden in the steamed bun section instead of the steamed dumpling section of the menu. Atmosphere is modern and airy. On a Friday at lunchtime most of the clientele were Asian ladies who lunch. There was light jazz playing, accompanied by the sound of giggling, well dressed ladies.

It was my first time here and I was very surprised by the quality of the food the taste of the food and the way it’s being served and prepared. Basically, you choose from small to big dishes and you can estimate the portions yourself. What really requires appreciation is the authentic taste of every dish something that is really rare to find so highly recommend visiting and trying soups! 😜

Lovely dim sum place! I went by myself and had a cosy seat near the bar. A condensed menu they got for dim sum, you could find most of the popular dim sum tho. Average Ams price most of the dishes are ~ 7 euros. Some of the dim sum are really delicious and since I’m a Chinese so you can take my word. The restaurant is not very big so I think it’d be better to book in advanced. Located in a more residential area so more local vibes here which I like a lot. Will come back.

Excellent restaurant. It’s crowded and tables are close to each other, but this adds to the charm. Service is very professional , I was waited on by a nice gentleman who was extremely courteous and spoke perfect English. The food is perfect.. the Duck was very tasty and so was the wonton soup. My friends joined later and got to sample many other dishes, all was good and authentic. Even though the restaurant is in the heart of the touristy area, it is a very very decent Chinese restaurant. It is not cheap at all, 40 euros for a quarter of a duck, a small Wonton soup and a bottle of water (the mark up on the water was very steep)

Visited on a Friday noon. Got a table as soon as we entered. Friendly and quick service. Ordered the rice and fried rice with roasted meat. Loved the duck and roasted pork- skin were crispy and meat was tender. Portion size were huge as well. Would recommend. One of the better Asian spots in Europe!

One of our fav go-to for authentic, traditional Chinese food in Amsterdam. Pros: Delicious and genuinely authentic menu. Perfect for any occasion—with friends or solo. Short wait times, even when there's a line. Heads-Up: Tables are very close, so it's not the best spot for a quiet, private conversation. Despite the cozy seating, the food is so good it's always worth it. A must-try!

Good place if you want fast served good Chinese food. The servers are very efficient. The restaurant is very busy and tables are very close to each other. But you know that when you walk in. Food tasted good and they are not fussy when you want to take home leftovers. Drinks are bit on the expensive side though.

Solid if not spectacular. Dim sum platter for two is good, the sweet and sour chicken is decent. The highlight was definitely the peking duck pancakes, they use a roll similar to a malaysian paratha which is nice and flaky, very satifying bite. They refill your sweet chili which is nice. Be prepared to wait for a table here especially on busy days and hours, but it's a decent spot for the price in a great area

Excellent Chinese cuisine. I have been coming to this restaurant more than 10 years ago. It's just a pity that the prices have been increased 30 % +, the portions are quite . A Fanta 4.25€ a beer 5€.

We chose this restaurant randomly, but we had to come again the next day. The food was very good especially the gyoza dumplings. The inside of the restaurant is cozy and nicely decorated. The staff was nice and the food didnt take too long to be done 😊. If you are in the area, you should totaly try it!!

The service was painfully slow, we waited ages just to get someone to take our order, and even longer for the food to arrive. When it finally did, everything was cold and clearly not fresh. The quality of the food was shockingly bad. The chicken skewers, in particular, were the worst part, they smelled awful, like they had gone bad. We couldn’t even finish them. It was honestly disgusting.

Resturant has seating for about 20 people tables range in size from 2 people to six people. They have low tables and high top tables. We had tuna nigiri, pork gyoza, and wagyu beef dumplings. They were all okay. We also had the pork ramen. The soup broth had the look and consistency of chicken soup and not a thick, creamy pork bone broth, it was average.

The pork belly with rice is to die for!!! Even when we ordered it takeaway! The ramen is great as well. The shoyu ramen is quite flavorful despite the lack of meat which was great to see.

Very delicious Asian cuisine and welcoming service! I had the vegetarian gyozas and the vegetarian ramen. Both delicious, especially the gyozas tasted great and had slightly thicker dough - tasted handmade! The service is super welcoming and kind. The ambience could be a bit more decorative. But all in all a great place - would recommend!

Great food, some of the best dumplings I've ever had for the price. Also the tonkatsu ramen is to die for. Service is very welcoming, albeit a little slow at times. Covid is just officially "over" in the Netherlands, though, so I guess there's more staff normally. All in all a great and friendly location I'd always return to.

Ordered the iberico pork siu mai, maki and tonkatsu ramen. The siu mai was as close as you can get to the real thing. Pork was juicy. The maki rice was soft and flavourful. Tonkatsu ramen noodles was perfectly done. The only thing I didn’t like was the pork pieces. Not as soft as the ones you get in Japan. Otherwise everything else was great!

The food is very tasty and you feel it's made with quality ingredients. The waiting time is usually less than 10 minutes which is good too. However it is a bit pricey and the bill can increase pretty quickly

The food was nothing special. I wouldn’t say it was bad, but i was expecting some great flavor. It just wasn’t there.

We had low expectations when we go to a dim sum place in Europe. But Dim Sum Ting was way below the European standards. The dumplings(as seen in photo) was broken, skin was thick, hard and sticky. It seems that it was factory made frozen dumplings. Taste bland too. 4 pieces of dumpling costs 7.50. Almost 2 euros for a piece of broken, sticky hard and bland dumpling, that’s day light robbery. We told the staff about the dumplings and they just brushed it off and said it was probably over cooked. Great comment for a stall that that sells almost 2 euros per dumpling. Very disappointing. Not recommended. Go somewhere else, please save your money and eat something else.

One of the most disappointing things I’ve eaten in a while. Thought the menu looked good, prices were expensive but that’s what you get for a trendy food market. Had to wait 20 minutes for 4 dumplings & 4 gyozas so I was expecting good things and really wanted to enjoy my food. It was just really poor, prawns were very ‘fishy’ and overcooked. Dumplings were okay but just not very good, what I would expect frozen from the supermarket. For €20 I was expecting much better things. I looked at the reviews after and seems I wasn’t the only one! Wouldn’t recommend.

Located in the very nice old tram storage hall, named ‘Foodhallen’, you will find just next to Kanarie Club ‘Dim Sum Thing’. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go eat there. We took 6 dim sums, and that was clearly a joke. The price was 10 euros for 6 pieces and they were just basic and even the cheapest. It was unbelievably small, taste was nothing special and was so sticky to the plate you could not get it off, so it breaks into pieces. I have been to China and I tasted the real dim sums and this place is nothing like that. Take any other place to not ruin the nice experience of the Foodhallen!

Absolutely loved this restaurant! Not only is the food delicious, but the cocktail presentation is a true work of art . The oyster mushroom karaage was simply outstanding — definitely something that makes you want to come back again and again. The vibe is adorable, very cute and cozy. The food is good, they are creative with the variety and presentation and have a lot of attention to detail. The service is amazing, everything is well presented and explained. The cocktails are very good and refreshing. They are doing a good overal job. It’s a perfect spot for a date. Loved that my friend could bring in her dog. The people working there know what they’re doing. Can’t recommend enough✨

A great spot to visit with friends. You can order different dishes to share, making it easy to try several options. very suitable for a casual drinks with a few friends and Japanese light bites. they are famous for their eye-catching cocktails but the taste was even better. the chef told me they must have added some Vietnamese bites now, cannot wait to taste them :)

Their service are really friendly and considerate. And the ambiance is cozy. Lots of different sake to choose from and good quality. You won’t miss anything even if you didn’t try their gyoza. But the fried mushrooms are good, really light and crispy. The cocktail comes with great presentation and a reasonable price, but you can definitely have better options in town.

Incredible food, impeccable service, knowledgable staff, stunning drinks menu and fair prices - this place has it all. You're always with received with a complementary hot towel and miso soup. Water is on the house too, but you should absolutely try the specialty beers or sake. The menu is compact but adventurous with gyoza inspired by different cuisines next to classical dishes. Every dish is presented in a unique manner and looks as good as it tastes. My Taiwanese friend was thrilled to find karaage mushrooms on the menu.

Great place, we loved it! It’s a small cosy restaurant with a great atmosphere and very kind staff. They have a small gyoza menu and the King of the forest gyoza and the Sai Gon Ga gyoza. And the cocktails are amaaazing! Everything looks beautiful too, very instagrammable. Really recommend!

Don't let the individual menu prices put you off - portions are designed for sharing and excellent value. The eggplant and sweet tofu easily fed four of us with two bowls of fried rice. The eggplant was beautifully soft and silky. We wanted to try the coconut rabbit pudding but it was sold out, so settled for spicy ice cream instead. This isn't a place for solo dining - come with a group and order family-style for the best experience and value.

Food was good! 水煮魚 was delicious, 口水雞 was tender, overall a lovely experience. Toilets were a bit VERY small and also they charge Chinese tea per person, which was a little a bit of a bummer, but food and service wise it was good! 👍

You can’t imagine how many times I’ve been to Fulu! It’s honestly one of my go to spots, and I’ve tried most of the menu by now. My absolute favorite appetizer , without a doubt is the cold boiled sliced pork belly with garlic sauce. I can’t even sit at a table there without starting with it! I always ask for extra smashed garlic on the side, because that little kick just makes it perfect. One thing I really like about Fulu is how presentable the dishes are. Some of them even come with dry ice and a smoke effect, which makes the whole experience feel a bit extra in a fun way. Portions are huge, and prices are fair considering what you get. The steamed fish is outstanding, and honestly most of their seafood dishes never disappoint. It’s the kind of place where you can try something different every time and still walk out satisfied. Service-wise, the staff are friendly, but because the restaurant is usually packed, they sometimes seem a little distracted. It’s understandable though, and overall the service is more than okay. But when the place is packed , you feel you are eating with the other guests on the same table, and the noise is high specially when there is big groups on big tables! And that affect the atmosphere a lot.. and just as an advice for the managers, please be sure that the wooden corners next to the tables are wiped frequently, since in most of my visits it was really dusty, and i even showed it to the supervisors several times ! For me, Fulu isn’t just a restaurant !! it’s my spot for celebrations. Most of my special occasions have been spent here, and that says a lot 🥰 I’ve added some of the photos I took during my 92737292 visits, so you guys can get a better idea and maybe it helps you choose more easily from their biiig menu, hahaha!

The restaurant’s menu explicitly said water is refilled for free if you order a drink, and that’s what we asked for when we added a beverage to the order. The bill comes back with a charge for hot water, when we explicitly asked for a free water refill for the beverage. The hot water costs €2.5 so it’s a small amount since we spent over €80 on ordering food, but this additional charge for hot water and refused to take it off the bill (staff repeatedly says since we have 2 people and only one ordered drink) makes me feel I was forced to pay for something I didn’t order and the restaurant being really cheap and just push its own mistake onto its customer.

Generally it is a great authentic Chinese restaurant, most of dishes are fantastic, and present in an elegant way! Price is a little bit higher, but with big portion. I took away one star, because the roast duck was really disappointed, even not reach Imbiss fried duck level.

In terms of taste, it was decent and straightforward. However, we did find a hair in the momo, which was disappointing. The staff handled it well, they apologized and offered to remake the dish right away. While we appreciated the quick response, it’s the kind of issue that ideally shouldn’t happen.

It was my first time trying Nepalese cuisine, and it was truly a wonderful experience! Every dish we ordered had a unique flavor each one told its own story. We had noodles, dumplings with sauce, rice, and salad everything was delicious. Special thanks to Tikka who took great care of us and gave amazing recommendations and many thanks to san he was so nice If you’re ever in Amsterdam, I highly recommend trying this place. The food was good, it had a very authentic Nepali taste. They were very welcoming, polite, fun and managed to find a cozy table for us even though the place was very full. We had a very nice time there. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars for food is I compared it with food in Nepal. It is almost a 5 star though.

We dropped in on a Saturday evening and luckily found a table available outside. The service was friendly and timely. I ordered the monkfish, which was superb! Many people are not aware of this delicacy, which has a texture more like lobster than fish. I recommend you try it at Sichuan Food in Amsterdam!

Nice Sichuan restaurant in Amsterdam with cozy ambience. The food was spicy and delicious. Fried rice was flavorful and the chicken dish was really tasty. The food is super authentic and delicious (source: I’m Asian). It’s called Sichuan Food but like some other reviewers said, it’s more Cantonese cuisine with some smattering of Sichuan dishes. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The hot and sour soup is great, I drank every last drop. The scallops and seafood in clay pot were also standout. The surprising star was the fried banana dessert we had. The batter was so crispy and light, it was a great ending. We saw the Peking duck being prepared and served, and it looks amazing. We would love to come back to try this next time.

Sichuan Food Amsterdam Visited Sichuan Food the 4th Time. Always on Pint with the Food. The Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Over the years they always deliver the same good quality. Prices are more expensive but it’s worth every bite. We can only recommend this place when visiting Amsterdam.

It was one of the best dinner I had in my life… We went there for the Peking duck. What we got was a heart warming stay in a quiet nice restaurant. The ambient was perfect , even more was the food and the outstanding service. The evening was a journey trough lots of different tastes. We will come back … :)

The service by the staff was very warm and welcoming. It was so comforting having authentic Chinese cuisine with actual mala spices. I did wish it was spicier but I think it more suited to local taste. We enjoyed all the dishes we ordered, especially the mala chicken. Would recommend trying if you are in the mood for Chinese!

If you’re gonna call yourself a Japanese restaurant you should learn how to make Japanese food. Gyozas were soggy, sushi tasted like albert heijn’s sushi, and the crispy fried rice were overcooked that it was so hard and unpleasant for the teeth. i would give this place a 2/10 for the nice service of the staff (they gave me a new portion of the fried rice because the old one was too hard to eat), but the food is just not Japanese.

A solid Japanese tapas-style restaurant, but not the best choice for a full dinner. We ordered the edamame, chicken katsu, bao buns, and sushi. The chicken katsu and bao buns were excellent, but the sushi was underwhelming. It is a good place for drinks and a light bite, especially if you want something casual and shareable. Prices are on the higher side for the portion sizes.

The food is ok I mean not that special not the best ingredients but well made. I can see that chefs are putting good effort in it. It did not feel like quite Japanese it was more like Asian inspired food (some meals are fusion like Bao buns, kimchi etc.) Service was a bit slow however the service employees were nice. Amazing small Japanese dishes to share, love the concept and the food was excellent! They were playing amazing music so the atmosphere was perfect for a Saturday night! the yuzu spritz was super refreshing. Perfect small bites before a night out.

It is a really good place to go to as a group, because you can share all the dishes. We sat outside and when it got a bit windy the waitress gave us blankets. This was a great wee bar, we were on a stag and they accommodated all 20 of us. They ladies working behind the bar were really friendly and nice to us the whole night even though some of us were a bit too drunk 🤣 They also had motown music blasting all night, great vides all round!

We said that we wanted 6 Heineken beers and the bartender gave us 6 more expensive Amstels and then said that he heard we just wanted normal beers. Not recommended.

The rudest and most ill-tempered woman I have ever seen in my life was here. My friends and I came, ordered the most expensive beer there, and had a conversation. One of my friends left, other friends arrived, and we all ordered drinks. Later, when my friends went to the restroom, this arrogant employee brought me the bill. Having spent a large part of my life in Germany and traveled through many cities, I have never encountered such a rude and disrespectful person before. I was truly shocked. She told me that we had only ordered two drinks, had been sitting there for two hours, and that this was not normal—when in reality, each of us had a drink, making it four in total. When my friend finished her Aperol and went to the restroom, we were about to leave anyway. However, while my friend was still in the restroom, the employee insisted that I pay. I said I would wait, and when she asked why, I told her I didn’t have enough money with me—of course, I actually had 30 euros, as I’m on a European tour. In my shock, this was the only thing that came to mind. Because I have to wait my friends she said me pay now, we kept arguing, and I responded with laughter because she was a pathetic person. In the end, she even started touching me, clearly losing her temper at my sarcastic attitude. As I was leaving, she told me, “If you don’t have money, don’t travel,” and I laughed the hardest at that moment. I absolutely do not recommend this place. I experienced something truly unique, something that will probably never happen again. Do not give your money to people like this. I would never recommend it!

We’re exhausted from all the walking around… desperately need a place to seat down. And there it is, an empty table in front of us. No question was asked, we sat down immediately. That hot ginger tea comes with a small waffle and a honey syrup, quite pleasant.

Nice place It’s like having a contemporary indian restaurant experience! Terrace have nice heaters so you won’t get cold. The wooden benches outside are quite hard without cushions, but blankets are provided on request Butter chicken for one was enough for two. Give a try to chaat of the day if you want something new and different. Mary’s Nest for the dessert was below average. I wont order it again.

It was a messy start of the evening… Waiting 15 minutes outside but ones inside Steve made everything up with his great service and the very nice food! It was sad that the Naan oven did not work. We opted for Chef's Menu and it was not worth the price! I think we should have selected the dishes from regular menu as we would have got better dishes for similar price. Anyway, that's our mistake as the host had let us know the dishes within the Chef's menu. The reason for 3 star rating are - 1. For this class of restaurant, I would expect certain level of service which includes changing of dishes after every course. Do you really expect us to eat main course in a dish which was already dirty from prior course? The taste would mixup if we eat main course in the same dish. 2. The dishes are really small (marked in the image). The size of dish is good for starter but not for main course. How do you expect one to eat Naan and veggie or curry in the same dish? As an Indian you would certainly know how we eat bread and rice with curry or sabzi. 3. The dishes served were shareables. If you do not provide serving spoon with the dishes, how do you expect us to serve it in our plates? Should we all dip the Naan in the same bowl and eat? That's unhygienic! Again, for the class of restaurant, we shouldn't be asking for spoons and dishes. 4. We were 5 of us for dinner and were surprised that splitting of checks was not allowed. I completely understand that splitting by 5 could be a problem but splitting by 2 is very common practice. The food tasted well. But overall service didnt live up to the rating standards. I was very excited to bring my colleagues from US for dinner at a good Indian restaurant (per google rating) but everyone was disappointed by the quality of service. It feels bad when people say to you that food is good but wouldn't come next time. I really hope that quality of service improves!!!

By far one of the best meals we’ve had on our trip! We got the Chef’s menu with cocktail pairing. It was a shared menu, and came with an appetizer, entree, and dessert. Which all came with a paired cocktail. The food was amazing and the drinks were made to perfection! As dessert came out, our waiter came out with Miri Mary tote bags to bring home. From start to finish it was an absolute pleasure to be there! Definitely a must if you’re in the area!

Great food…pretty authentic from the starter to the desserts. The paneer, butter chicken, dhal, caramelised pineapple etc are super good. The naan is gorgeous even on its own. We (group of 7) enjoyed the food very much. There is option for vegetarian. Not forgetting the great service. Thank you and will definitely return.

Came to try the pecking duck wrap, and got some dumplings on the side. I thought it was pretty mid, nothing too special. It wasn’t bad, though, just didn’t standout enough that I particularly would seek out to come again.

Absolutely favorite dumpling and savory pancake place. Reasonably priced and worth the wait. Favorites include the savory pancake, steamed and fried savory and vegetarian dumpling, bao bun, and the portion of the fried rice and fried noodles will leave you so satisfied. The best is when they remember your standard order of steamed vegetarian and meat dumpling regardless of the amount of people they see. 10/10

Love it 100%. Staff is very friendly and food was amazing. I wouldn’t even minding traveling from the other side of Amsterdam to get jianbing. This is for sure the best in the Netherlands. Although the duck jianbing is not very traditional as I have never had this in China but it is still extremely delicious. If it’s summer, it’s the dream just taking the food to Westerpark and go on a picnic date over there. 100% recommend.

A very nice spot for authentic dumplings and jianbing. If you manage to grab a seat in the crowd, it’s actually quite cozy by the park. The wraps and dumplings are well-filled and fairly priced, and the chili oil is delicious too!

This was fine…but definitely not worth the wait. Ordered the Peking duck crepe and the pork dumplings. Really, the food was nothing special and the crepe had so little duck in it. I must be missing something!

Mediocre food at best. I got half a kilo of rice with barely any vegetables, just a lot of greasy rice. I can’t eat it, it’s plain and greasy 😢 And I ordered noodles, to start with. They did not explain properly that they are out of the noodles, guy’s English makes it very difficult to understand what he says and he clearly did not understand me. Maybe I would have had a better luck if I spoke Dutch but I assumed English was easier for them (maybe my mistake).

Kim's So Korean Food Centrum The dishes are delicious. The dining area has a nice and welcoming vibe, though the space is a bit tight with limited seating. We didn’t make a reservation and were lucky to get a table. It’s better to book ahead, as this place is quite popular for Korean food.

The food was excellent and the service was fast. I especially liked the tartare with egg, and their bingsu was actually better than what I've had in many places in Korea. Arguably overpriced gyoza but it’s very tasty & unique so I think the flavors are worth the price. You won’t get some of their gyoza combinations anywhere else. We loved the middle one so much that we got a second order! (in photo- ask a waiter which it is because I forget)

I liked the place, I give it 4.5 out of 5. There wasn't enough variety in the appetizers. We ordered geza, ramen, and cucumbers. The sake was also great, but make sure to check the alcohol content on the packaging, as the menu listed 12% alcohol, but the bottle indicated 15%. The yuzu mochi was also excellent, but I didn't like the yuzu drink, as it felt diluted. It was also strange that they refused to make matcha for me in the evening.

The establishment is extremely small, the seating area is uncomfortable, and there are only stools. Although the food is delicious. I ordered three types of gyozas, and they were all tasty, honestly. Good menu.

If possible I'd rate this place 4.5/5 but it fell closer to a 4 than a 5 for me. The miso ramen was good but the tofu was too salty and the texture was a bit odd. I also found it odd to offer only "eco" tap water for 2€. Eco tap water can be an option, but so should free tap water (?). The service was amazing however, so kind and helpful! Will come back to try some gyoza.

I went there tonight and the two young girls working were absolutely wonderful — so friendly, patient, and welcoming. My friends and I were quite indecisive, but they took the time to accommodate our needs and make sure we were happy with our choices even though the place was packed. They really went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. We left with big smiles and will definitely be coming back!

Very nice place They are focusing on few dishes which is very good ideas. The steam bun(not sure can I call like this 😬) which offer you 3 options and you can order mix & match too, so we tried all. I would love to say the meat version would be the best and just the skin a bit too thick so it would be not easy to chew once the temperature get not very warm. Another starter is also great ! We didnt order main as portion are pretty big, but we took dessert which is wonderful !!!!!!!! You can skip all dishes but not the dessert. Staffs are very friendly and patient to introduce all. The place is nice but very noisy once all table full as well as cooking smell all around which make the clothes can smell like a pc of food very easy 😂😂😂 Price ok and recommend you come over here

First time trying Georgian food. Made a reservation and had a pretty good experience at this restaurant. We ordered the Khinkali, Acharuli Khachapuri and a lamb dish. Overall very good price for the quantity.

The food was very good, especially the starter and dessert. The stew was tender, though a bit too spicy for my taste, and my friend preferred her duck more well done. We ended up swapping plates and both enjoyed our late lunch. The duck in white wine was tender on the inside with a crispy crust on the outside. The mushroom starter with cheese was absolutely delicious, and the potato fries tasted like oven-baked potatoes in foil with a heap of salt — loved it! The dessert deserves special mention: warm pastry filled with jam and whole berries, topped with ice cream and whipped cream. Prices were reasonable, just under €50 per person. We visited on a Saturday afternoon without a reservation, and the waitress still gave us the best table by the window. I’ll definitely come back to try more dishes.

I found this restaurant quite pricey and with tiny portions. Which is not like in Georgia at all 😌For 2 people, we spent around €150 and left hungry, which is a bit unusual for a Georgian restaurant and having had starters and main dishes each. The interior feels simple, and the service could be improved. For example, after eating a starter, we were expected to leave our dirty cutlery on the table without receiving new ones for the main course—which felt unacceptable considering the price. Some dishes also felt a little light for the price; for instance, the duck comes without a garnish. Overall, the experience didn’t quite match the cost for me. I think with a few small adjustments in service and portioning, it could feel more in line with the price.

Khinkali were nice and the khachapuri was also good. Unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. The air inside was super hot and oily, and the waiters kept ignoring us. When we got a second round of food they didn’t even change our plates. The wine was served warm and we weren’t offered a taste or any explanation. The last main dish was described as “for those who like tarragon,” but it turned out to be so unpleasant we couldn’t eat it. No one checked in at the end to see if we liked the food. Good flavors for some dishes, but the service and atmosphere need serious improvement.

What a nice restaurant! We had a little bit of everything and shared among us which was what the waiter suggested us to. I can’t remember the names of all the dishes but we had the chicken, dumplings, fried rice, kimchi, french fries etc. We also went for the beer/jinro package who’s was a great combo. We are very happy with our choice of restaurant. The fact that it all summed up to app. 100EUR for the three of us makes it very affordable as well.

I always love coming to this place. The food tastes absolutely delicious, fresh and authentic! The bulgogi fried are a musttttt try!!!! It tastes bomb! The soup garlic fried chicken and the parmesan fried chicken were also super delicious and crispy. The corndog was also super tasty! Loved the crispy and cheesy combo! The staff are also nice and they have a big space. Although I recommend reservation.

We came here as a group of four and left very happy! The food is impressively authentic — as close as it gets to what you’d find in Korea. They even serve makgeolli, which is quite rare to find in Amsterdam. I really liked their bingsu and can definitely recommend saving some space for this traditional Korean dessert — though that might be difficult, since the rest of the food is also excellent. We tried almost all the starters; the corn with cheese was a bit ordinary (it’s just corn with cheese, after all), but everything else was great. For the chicken, we preferred the traditional sauce slightly more than the soy and ginger one, but both were good. Kimbap was super good and full of ingredients. Service was fast and attentive. I would only improve the atmosphere: it felt too simple, I would make it a bit cozier. Overall, highly recommended!

Nice service and busy atmosphere - GREAT food. The classic Korean fried chicken is a MUST HAVE! Kimbap, corn dogs and the shrimp were also super good. Reasonable prices, clean toilets and friendly staff!

One of the best Korean restaurants in Amsterdam! Great food, great atmosphere, and quite a lot of options to choose from. Their fried chicken and tokbokki weren’t my favourite, but their dishes are good overall, and their corndogs are really special!

The food was delicious. The fried chicken was a little bit too sweet. The restaurant was full at the evening, therefore i would recommend to reserve a table.

Located right off the main Albert Cuyp Market road. This cafe has mostly outdoor seating where you can order small bites, snacks and beer and relax. We tried the bitterballen and had some truffle fries with a beer. Neither are a must have but for a snack after walking up and down the market. Not bad.

What a weird experience in this Bar! I was there with four colleagues and ordered a Limoncello Spritz. After I tried the drink I noticed that there was an artificial lemon taste with a weird aftertaste. My colleague tried too and confirmed it had an artificial taste. After giving the drink back to the bartender, he tried the drink from my already used glass and kept insisting it is tasting like it should and that they cannot reimburse me for that or give me a new drink. They said I can get the drink back but after they tried and it was not tasting any good I said no. After getting back to the table we saw that he went around and let two other people try and then he finished the drink behind the bar. This never happened to me before and I hope it will never happen to everyone else again. Hope he enjoyed his free drink 😅 as they still put it on the tab.

Great location, with plenty of outdoor seating, and very friendly servers. The cocktails were only okay - many were very similar and simple, and there could have been more variety and more upscale options. The espresso martini looked good!

The bar is nice for beers, but cocktails are not their highlight. We ordered few pornstar martinis and an espresso martini and neither weger good. Pornstar martini was missing a passion fruit and a prosecco shot. When we asked the bartender about it, he said he would fix it and never did sadly.

So we popped in as tourist for a drink. Stayed for food. The service is shocking. We sat at the bar and craved service and attention. The food was good but not great. The sticky chicken was so sticky I ate the stick. Porn star martinis are NOT served with the traditional prosecco on the side. Overall the bar staff let t this place down.

I have just read the other reviews, but I am visiting on a Friday afternoon and all is fine. I asked to use the Wi-fi in exchange for having a drink which they happily agreed to. Great 80's tunes playing, good beer, nice simple menu, good spot to pause and people watch in the Albert Cuyp market.

Cute, cozy spot for Taiwanese comfort food and bubble teas. I liked the little tables and chairs, the simple and minimalist plate wear the food was served on, and the cat logo of course 😸 I had the braised pork noodles with a side of chili crisp oil and marinated egg. It was tasty and easy. Egg was perfectly cooked. I also had the classic scallion pancake. Wasn’t too impressed with that one … would’ve preferred it to be more crispy, as it was more on the soft/soggy side. Would’ve really loved to have a bowl of Taiwanese beef noodle soup - but there weren’t any soup options at the time. Easy to order, just sit down anywhere and scan the QR code to place the order. Merch was cute, too. I picked up two retro postcards and two cat stickers.

Rating -> 3/5 We also had the Brown Sugar Boba Milk and the Tie Guan Yin Oolong Bubble Tea. These were both a 5/5. Very well balanced, we liked it that you really can enjoy the Brown Sugar without the heavy amounts of Fructose, like in many stores. All with all a nice experience. Loved Jen’s Café in Amsterdam! Tried the cream bubble tea, and it was so delicious that I had to get another one with extra boba – both were amazing. The girl from Japan who made our drinks was super friendly and kind. The atmosphere was also very cozy and appealing. Highly recommend for bubble tea lovers!

Came here twice during a 1 week trip in Amsterdam. The first was because we were craving Asian flavors after being without for 3 weeks. Had gua bao (pork belly and veg)a rice bowl, and a soy milk drink the first time. Service was good. Food was not bad. Flavors were all there. My husband didn’t really enjoy the rice bowl. I enjoyed the baos though! The 2nd time - service was worse. No pork belly at all (so no bao that I was craving). Which was okay. I ordered something else and a matcha latte. The matcha latte and the service I got after was terrible. I told the waitress that the matcha latte just taste like milk, no matcha. She had a confused irritated look on her face and was like really? It’s like she didn’t believe me and my taste. She then was like we usually don’t do anything because it’s powder so we can’t fix it? And that was weird because usually you just add more powder no? She decided to fix it for me and said more powder and milk was added. Unfortunately, it tasted the same - only like milk. I would’ve been fine if she was at least apologetic. I looked at past pictures of matcha latte here and it looks nothing like what I got. You can see from the photo that it’s a very light green - just by looking at it, I can tell it will be bland.

highly recommend the scallion omelette classic (i think this was what it was called on the menu). it was soooo yummy! the textures were amazing and the sauce was a perfect pairing! the boba was also really yummy, but there were a lot of tapioca pearls (perfect if you enjoy that though). my friend had the chicken bao that she enjoyed lots, the bun was a perfect balance of soft and firm!!

Today, we were hungry and passing by when we spotted this place and decided to give it a try. We ordered the pork belly and dumplings — the pork belly was absolutely delicious, soft and flavorful. The dumplings (we had them steamed) were okay, though for my taste they could have used a little more salt. Overall, the food was good. Prices felt a bit high, but I’m starting to realize Amsterdam isn’t the cheapest place to eat. The staff were really nice and friendly, but the service was quite slow since it seemed to be just the cook and one person handling everything else. Not sure if it’s always just two people or if they were understaffed that day. All in all, we’d definitely stop by again if we happened to pass through.

The place was empty on Thursday evening, but we decided to trust the Google reviews and give it a try. I don’t regret it. The fish soup/ramen was excellent: very flavorful with a generous amount of fish. I also enjoyed the steamed dumplings. The beef ramen, however, could have been better. It was extremely salty and quite simple: just an overly spicy and salty broth, ramen, and chunks of beef. Compared to the fish soup, it lacked depth and variety of ingredients. Another downside was the interior. The place felt plain and a bit neglected, and it didn’t give off a clean or fresh impression (even though I didn’t see any visible trash). The table was slightly sticky, and the bathroom floor was too, which raised some hygiene concerns. We didn’t experience any stomach issues afterwards, but overall, I wouldn’t come back despite enjoying parts of the meal.

I’ve passed by this restaurant many times but never had the chance to stop in until now, and I’m so glad I finally did. The food was absolutely amazing! The classic xiaolongbao is probably the closest you’ll find to the authentic taste you get in China, Taiwan, or Hong Kong. The meat filling was perfectly seasoned without any gaminess porky taste, and the moment you bite into the dumpling, the rich, savoury broth bursts out truly sensational. On top of that, the service was excellent. The waiter was attentive and made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for any dumpling lover!

This place is a hidden gem! They make the best crushed cucumber salad and the fish soup is phenomenal! After tasting the first two dishes, we immediately ordered more but got carried away hence pardon the picture of only empty plates.. The service can be slow but very warm and kind :)

Overall, the atmosphere and the service of the restaurant were amazing. As a person who’s quite picky with customer service, I was very satisfied; the waiter was very friendly and welcoming. As for the food, the pork soup dumplings tasted really close to the ones I had in China. The pork dumplings were up to standard, but if you were to order the pork soup dumplings, I could go without them. However, I would skip the scallion pancakes because they were a bit too thin for my taste. The service and ambience were great though, perfect for a late-night meal. I only took one photo which was the soup dumplings because we were hungry.

An OK Shanghainese restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam. The drunken chicken is too salty. The beef noodle and spring rolls were good though. Skin for the dumplings is a bit thick. Took quite sometimes for all our orders to show up.

We finally checked out this place for the first time and it was such a treat! The highlight, of course, is their famous hand-pulled noodles that you even get to choose the thickness. Perfectly chewy, flavorful, and so satisfying. Also, so cool you can actually ask for a noodle refill. Everything was delicious and each soup was served with an egg and a salad, which honestly was perfect combo with the noodle soup. The staff was also very welcoming and nice! We are definitely coming back soon! ☺️

Simply the Best Lanzhou Beef Noodles in Amsterdam!!!! I just had the best Lanzhou beef noodles of my life. The broth is deep, clean, and unbelievably flavorful, and the hand-pulled noodles have that perfect chew. Tender beef, aromatic spices. Portions are generous, prices are friendly. they even offered a free refill !!!! The staff were amazing: warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, which made the whole experience even better. This wasn't just a meal; it was one of those food moments that's hard to put into words. Best in Amsterdam, hands down.

My family and I visited this restaurant excited to try their beef noodles, as we were new to the place. The staff member who took our order was very polite and offered helpful suggestions, especially considering we had our 4-year-old toddler with us. We ordered two types of braised beef noodle soup bowls for ourselves and a stir-fry noodle dish for our toddler, which was recommended as non-spicy. Unfortunately, the experience fell short. My braised beef noodle bowl was disappointing—I didn’t enjoy the taste and left it untouched. The stir-fry noodles for our toddler turned out to be extremely spicy, which we thankfully noticed before she tried it. I ended up eating it myself, but it was overly oily. My partner’s braised beef noodle bowl was decent and not spicy, so she shared it with our toddler. On a positive note, the side dishes were satisfactory but lacked strong flavors. Overall, this restaurant wasn’t the right fit for us, and we likely won’t return.

I went to this restaurant last weekend with my friends (the first week of October 2025). Overall, the food tasted delicious. I especially love the free salad they provide. They also have a halal certification until November 2025 (the certification paper was posted at the entrance door), so I assume they renew it annually. Make sure to check their halal status renewal if you plan to visit after November 2025.

Overall it was nice experience, i’ve got braised beef noodles soup and was able to take 1 plate with salad and 1 egg, salad was nice but i wish they have cucumbers and tree mushrooms. Soup portion was huge with veggies and nice beed, however the broth wasn’t strong enough and some flavor was missing, i’ve added some oil but still. Another thing is that all windows were open which is not really good especially when the weather is cold. Noodles for soup itself were nice, i choose wide flat ones

I come here often, best time to come is on a weekday before lunch time so the place is going to be emptier and quieter. I really like their soups and they handmade their noodles!! I like to order not spicy so i can add the spicy oil myself. Service is simple and quick, people is polite.

So this is absolutely my favorite Chinese restaurant in Amsterdam… maybe the best Asian food ever we had in Europe so far. Super authentic northern western hand pulled noodles, certified halal, the chef is from Lanzhou and that place KNOWs their noodles. Some dishes have a good authentic kick to them fyi if you don’t eat spice - but there are non spicy dishes too like the egg and tomato. Loved the chili oil noodles 油泼面 - get the wide flat ones if you want authentic, and the stir fried noodles 牛肉拉条are amazing too (both spicy). Oh and for each dish you get free side dishes and a tea egg - soooo homey tasting. Also best braised beef noodle soup in town (spicy)红烧牛肉. I honestly did not expect this high quality of Chinese food in this city and would recommend to all my friends.

Good hotel right next to the Jewish Quartier. The stairs to the room were a bit tricky and steep but the rest was great. Heating and ac services, lots of space and a nice shower. The surroundings are very convenient with lots of restaurants, bars, a supermarket, a Starbucks and even a couple coffeeshops nearby.

We visited this place as part of our Amsterdam food tour. When we arrived there, the restaurant was closed (it opens at 5PM) and the owner promised we would have a pint on him if we came back later. When we came back, we mentioned this but it did not happen. We ordered a plate of butterball which was good, but not so great to justify the food. The Dutch fries looked like standards french fries you could get from American fast-food for much less. We eventually got a discount for our City Card but, to be fair, I was not so impressed with the food.

Really liked the place, vibe, food and their really friendly staff. In fact for a Dutch standard the guys who were attending us, definitely should get a raise! 💸 Bitterballen were tasty, it's a god place to take your friends when they visit NL. For locals, there are many surprising feelings to those ballen..

Really interesting and tasty food. It was not what I expected at all, the texture is almost like a paste with some chunks in, then balled and fried with a Super Crunchy exterior. Absolutely awesome food with ALOT of flavour options. All of the options came with a condiment specific to the Bitterballs.

We came here as wanted to try Bitterballen but we're struggling to find a place that did a vegetarian version. This place did not disappoint! I had the truffle and the goats cheese and they were both delicious. The staff were attentive and really friendly. Will be coming back next time I'm in town.

We were in Amsterdam for two days and went back the last night for a second time. If you are in Amsterdam... Don't miss this one... A real gem of a place. Staff are super attentive and even remembered us the second night.. But then, only awesome people go to awesome places 😉

De Sichuan meat salad is the best. They look very spicy, but not! So for me is perfect. Nice that we can mix all the meat in 1 small box €8,5. Xiao long bao 6 small peaches €15. It tastes very fresh. Wait 13 minutes for steaming, it is worth waiting for it. For the meat definitely I will come back!

First of all I want to say that the food was delicious, I ordered the original dumpling (8pc) fried dumplings (8pc) and one bow. everything was great an tasty and fresh. the original one's are my favorite. just one thing keep in mind there's not a lot of sitting place. and no tables, its more suitable for takeaways or eating while standing.

Tried this Sichuan-style bapao today and wow — the flavor slaps. The bun is super soft and fluffy, and the filling hits you with that perfect mix of chili heat and numbing Sichuan pepper. 🥵🌶️ It’s got that deep, rich spice that builds up but still lets you taste all the garlicky, savory goodness inside. Kinda addictive, not gonna lie. 😋

Summary: affordable and good snacks! best to order food to go because seating is not very comfortable and quite limited. I ordered the vegetable pancake (8€) and the spicy wonton soup (8€). I really enjoyed the vegetable pancake because it was flavourful with the umami, sichuan peppers and chilis. It’s not spicy if anyone is wondering😅 I liked the soup a lot less because the broth didn’t have a taste, I think they forgot to add the flavor since they just opened when I ordered. The wontons were yummy tho, freshly made as well. I got my food within 10-15mins of ordering so it wasn’t so bad. Especially because they cooked it on the spot. I sat inside with a small stool and used the bank as a table, so it might not be very comfortable for most. And there was no fan, so it turned out very hot inside. I will come back to this place definitely!

Today, I found a “stone” in my bao. I was told it was a peppercorn, but to my knowledge, peppercorns are round, not triangular in shape. It was very hard to bite into, and it slightly hurt my tooth. I was also told that if I bit it, it would “explode” because it was a peppercorn—but nothing happened when I tried, which made me think it might actually have been a stone. I didn’t proceed trying as I don’t want to break my teeth. Additionally, yesterday I ordered two chicken baos and one pork bao. Today, I placed the same order, but the fillings seemed to have been swapped—the one that was pork yesterday became chicken today, and vice versa. As a result, I couldn’t tell which flavor I ended up eating. This could be a serious issue for someone who avoids pork and specifically requests chicken, but then receives the wrong filling.

I am absolutely obsessed with this place now… I came here this afternoon for the first time, and I got the wonton soup. It was absolutely amazing, lots of flavor!! The guys working there were also really kind! I will definitely be coming back.

What an absolute gem in the neighborhood! This lovely dumpling house has everything a Chinese dumpling enthusiast could ask for. The food is incredible, first time I had it was via a delivery and was surprised at how good the dumplings were (let’s be honest, the fact they survived the delivery was impressive enough). This time I decided to visit over lunch and they were even better! Had the poached egg drop soup which was just perfect for a chilly winter day, then tried the pan-fried pork and chives dumplings with some Asian veggies and their home-made chili oil (absolute perfection - definitely try it if you enjoy a little heat). Everything was extremely fresh and tasty! The service was impeccable, so friendly and attentive. Enjoyed discussing Asian food and local food culture with the owner, who made sure to check in and ask if I enjoyed the food. I’ll definitely be back and bring friends with me! It’s a must-visit spot for any foodie who enjoys Asian cuisines.

Wow, I was not expecting this level of quality and service when I visited YanYan for a casual lunch. I had the egg drop soup, hang over bowl, and the pork dumplings. The taste of the rice is something else. The service and location is 5/5 as well. A beautiful modern decoration, couple of tables with a nice vibe, enough to enjoy lunch. Recommendations and food explanations were really detailed and welcomed. This is definitely a new favourite in the neighborhood.

There are better places along the street. I was disappointed with the price. The food is decent but does not worth the cost I believe. Just changing the sides from patato to vegetables is 2 €, and a basic vinegar sauce is 1.9€.
