We booked a table weeks in advance when we knew we were visiting Tallinn. We ate there on a Monday evening in the summer but the place was fairly empty. We were sat at the back of the restaurant in the main room and felt we were away from the atmosphere. The decor is really nice - modern, clean and industrial while at the sane time warm and cosy. As a vegan, they had no problems adapting the menu. As a starter I had a grilled asparagus with the a creamy truffle sauce and for a main meal had an incredible risotto. The frozen chocolate cake with berries was insanely good! Unfortunately the staff weren’t friendly or inviting and they were not generous with the wine. Tip! Buy a bottle otherwise you’ll get a very tiny pour. When our waitress poured the wine, we assumed it was a splash just to taste the wine but nope!

Absolute delight! 🙌 The food was exciting, fresh, jummy in each bite, service sincere, urban-sleek yet friendly surroundings. And amazing seafront that can be a plus not only in the summer heat but also in a cold autumn evening (this evening: aurora borealis as a compliment from the nature ☺️)

Absolutely love this place! Found it on Michelin guide & dined here twice on a short trip. Run by a young, smiley & super helpful staff. Food is excellent and location by the marina is hard to beat. Highly recommended.

We had been waiting for this restaurant experience and booked a table well in advance, because we know that the restaurant had received a Michelin recommendation. Well, I don't remember when we had received such poor service. At the start we ordered (3pax) 3 breads to start, we got 5 pieces, when we asked the waiter about it, she said that everyone could taste it? A what??? At this point, it didn't even occur to me that my asparagus starter would come with all the main courses? 😒 The only thing we got a correct time was a water, all other got drinks we got a little after the main courses and even then so I got the risotto and the asparagus "my starter" at the same time whit all the other main courses???? So..When the dishes were served, we asked about this; were told that the drinks had just arrived, the order regarding was completely ignored. This restaurant completely lacks control on the serving side, there was no one to even properly correct mistakes because all the waiters were too young to understand the mistakes made. Which was a shame in itself because the food itself was good, but in this case it doesn't make up for the whole thing. I would not never recommend 😒 this place!!!

We had a great experience and enjoyed the food, the views, and the great service. We were a little hesitant at first because some reviews said service was awful. We can’t say that at all. We called to make a reso before heading over on a Sunday and no one answered. Within 5min someone called back and made the reso. We arrived and they had a great table outside on the waterfront with amazing views. The servers were all super nice and gave great recommendations. The food arrived and everything was delicious. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed the duck but not the service here this time around. For our table, the trainee was switched for a more experienced server (shift manager) after a disagreement over whether one person could order a mixed selection meant for at least 2 people for a group of 8 so everyone can try the food - probably a combination of busy friday night & trainee not being used to large group orders. That kind of dampened our experience. My duck was perfectly cooked to medium minus and the primitivo red went well with it. I quite enjoyed the really fresh beef tartar as well. I’ll probably go back, but with 2-4 people max.

All starters were eggcellent! More exquisite than excellent - so needed to prolong the first version 😊 Mains were tasty also, but did not blow the mind as the starters did. Also the wine list is extensive and there are beautiful pearls within affordable range. Greetings to the chefs, we'll be back! 🤖

I had a wonderful time. Service is top notch and lots of locals were eating there. I liked the cauliflower but the flounder wasn’t my thing. The Estonia sparkling wine was great! (They had this fish on mussels before and I hope they’ll bring it back.)

Wonderful local restaurant with daily changing menu & great wine selection. They even feature Estonian wine. Service was friendly & accommodating for English speakers. We really enjoyed some delicious wine on the comfy patio with some fun, fresh & creative shareable starters.

While the service was excellent and the restaurant was beautiful, the food was just average, but the seafood was particularly disappointing. The scallops were overcooked and rubbery, the tuna in sesame sauce had so much tough connective tissue that it wouldn't even be appropriate even if they were to finely chop it into tartare. We had to nibble around the gristle to get some actual tuna meat.F(No wonder they covered the tuna with endive!) Finally, the 1/3 of the clams and mussels in the seafood pasta were shut (inedible) - the chef is supposed to throw out the bivalves that didn't open prior to serving the dish. We also ordered the sirloin, the halibut, and the burrata salad. The only dish I would say we truly enjoyed was the burrata.

Wonderful restaurant. Judging by how good everything was it's almost hard to believe the menu changes everyday. Both fresh and delicious, what more can you ask for ?! 100% recommend

Booked a table beforehand. Dynamic menu - dishes may vary from day to day. Excellent service. Warm, welcoming and professional. Food what we ordered met all expectations. Make sure you ask what it is, and know what to expect to avoid surprises. Selection of NA wines available also. I have noticed Modernist Cuisine books on the bookshelf. Another good reason to come back and read a bit. Couple of photos added. Both were perfect dishes.

We had a reservation to ensure a table but on a Monday evening there were walk-ins. The restaurant has a nice contemporary look to it. The menu is written on a chalkboard and changes daily I'm told. We shared the white asparagus with hollandaise sauce and lardo. Delicious. My partner had the halibut with cauliflower and mussels. She said it was delicious. I had the ramps risotto with a poached egg. Also delicious! We shared the Basque cheesecake with rhubarb compote. Also delicious! I would go back to this restaurant again.

Do visit if you want to have some local experience at Tallinn. There are a lot of fresh fruits available. There are separate markets for fish and meat. It’s near to old town as well. You can reach by walk too. There are a lot of options to eat as well.

Huge modern, clean, fascinating building that seems to have a perfect balance of everything and plenty to do 😍 Traditional antique stores jam-packed with so much history it feels like walking in museums ; well-organised vintage clothing stores, I bought some bargain clothing from Basaar; lovely market stalls displaying brightly-coloured fresh fruits, meats and many other groceries ; food stands offering all kinds of options, from local to foreign flavours etc. Thought I'd just drop by for a quick look, ended up spending 3 happy hours on a Sunday afternoon, definitely visit!!! 😚

We spent one full morning in this place. It has everything: fish, meat, local and international products, antiques, second hand clothes, other types of clothes, I get why it's so visited by everyone. There's something to enjoy for everyone.

Such a great place to try out lots of local food, bakery items & more. Plus a great choice of meats, deli items, fruit & veg. Upstairs are brewery bars with some great local beers to try.

Beautiful market selling anything from fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, seafood and new crafts to upscale vintage clothing and beautiful antiques. The building itself is beautiful with an open concept and lots of restaurants and eateries throughout.

Staff were awesome. Friendly and funny. Food was delicious, especially the borscht. I enjoyed the pickled herring but maybe something I won’t try again. The restaurant is set up with vintage memorabilia on the walls. It made the typical diner look very cool. The only reason I gave 4 stars for service is that we waited an extremely long time for our bill even though there was only two other people in the diner.

We loved it. I grew up in Estonia, so the interior reminded me of my childhood. My kids are Dutch but they enjoy pelmeni. The waiter was very nice and did his best.

We went to this place because it was supposed to be typically Estonian. Going inside made us feel like stepped straight into a time capsule directed back to Soviet Russia. The decoration can be called very unsettling. Some might call this childhood. So we’re not judging. It's nostalgic value! Charming The food was lovely. We had soup and dumplings. The soups were borscht and a fish soup called solyanka. Both of them were delicious. We also had all sorts of different dumplings: duck, fish, and meat I think, the classic choice. The duck dumplings had a really funny name “Donald Parts”, like you know Donald Duck, haha, not Donald Trump (even though the bright orange-yellow colour did make us wonder). The fish dumplings were a bit too fishy. Everything was gooood We got massive portions of kvass which was of course very nice. Business seems to go well as they are expanding to the food market in city.

Took my girlfriend here last night for a casual dinner date. The vibe and atmosphere was awesome. The food was amazing! We got the tasting platter, classic dumplings and the salmon & shrimp. They were delicious!! The house made drink were really good, the Kvass was great. The man that served us was so friendly and made us laugh. I really recommend going here if you’re after delicious authentic Eastern European food!

Absolutely delicious food in a super charming atmosphere. The music wasn't too loud and fit well with the overall style of the place with lots of nostalgia. For example they have a TV showing old Russian cartoons (Nu Pogodi for example) without volume. We had two different types of pelmeni and you can choose to have them with or without broth. The ice cream with local liquor was also very nice. We are definitely coming back here ❤️

Amazing time at the Lendav Taldrik with Mari-Liis. Dishes were delicious (chicken salad 10.50€ more or less and a cheese naan 8€ and it was huge!) and she was really professional, always there for you. I was thinking to stop just for a fast lunch but I stayed for 5 hours! Best place with nice music.

Great food, nice ambience and very friendly waiters (especially Prince but the lady at 2nd time was also great). Yes, I came back a second time to eat the extraordinary fried rice with chicken again - yummi! But all my friends would recommend the tasty dishes with a lil Indian twist and the great quality. There is definitely a cook who knows his business. Fair prices.

Tonight I been there with my family, absolutely amazing! Everything was perfect, stuff are so friendly and nice, even in the busy time. Margous served us, he was so professional and he knew his job very well. The food, cocktails and dessert are fresh and tasty. We order 5 different foods and all of them was stoning! Restaurant have a very chill vibe and they played some New York Jazz, and we have very great time there. Highly recommended ❤️

Food was good, service was okay at Salt. Loved the Asian flavours, Thai curry mussels packed a lot of flavour and they were generous with the broth. Okonmyaki was fluffy, saucey and well made.

This restaurant always delivers. Aside from innovative recipes, beautiful plating and perfectly executed dishes, i really appreciate that SALT constantly updates and modifies their menu based on seasonal ingredients and the freshest produce available. The vibe and buzzing atmosphere of the restaurant is unique. However, the space is limited so booking in advance is recommended and many visitors might find the restaurant ‘cramped’. The service is attentive and friendly and helpful with navigating the menu. My favourite dishes were ✨tartare ✨octopus 🐙 ✨duck dumplings 🦆 The octopus was cooked to perfection, however slightly too salty for me. Overall we had a great dining experience and I’m looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.

We had a nice dinner at the restaurant. The inside was full so had to sit outside but luckily the weather was good. We liked the experimental, daring menu. Dishes were executed well, tasted as beautiful as they were presented. However, we felt that they lack certain highlight or a signature that made any of the dishes stand out. We liked the foods as they are, but not sure if they made us curious and satisfied enough to come back. We hope that being creative or innovative is accompanied by making simply heartful, wholesome foods.

Very expensive, average food at best. We tried three different dishes. The steak was cold and bland. Also it was pre-cut, wth? Did I mention expensive? The risotto was not bad, a little cold and bland but it was ok. Overall it was not a good experience and for that price, I expected a lot more.

The food was average. In terms of flavor, the soup was tasty, but the long hand-pulled noodles could have been better. The plov was super oily, and the dumplings were quite okay, bu it was particularly disappointing to find that the dumplings, which I had anticipated to be soup-filled, were lacking the essential broth that would have elevated the experience. Also, they unfortunately don’t have baby seats which make it challenging to dine in for families with small babies.

It is located inside the central market. If you want to try something local you can always check out this place. We tried some soup over here. The order was quickly prepared. You can try the bread as well over here. You can sit inside the restaurant or even outside.

Authentic Uzbeki restaurant located inside Balti Jaama Turg (local market). We tried the pilaff and dumplings and they were delicious and generous. Definitely coming back to try the other items on the menu.

Was highly recommended by a friend and definitely not disappointed. Ordered the noodle, pilaf and dumplings - everything was superb. Not too healthy, with just enough grease and flavours! I also love the Leib sold outside the store for 3 EUR, it is still hot - the crust is crispy and the inside is soft and fluffy!

My experience at this restaurant was mixed. The service was just okay, with the staff seeming rushed and somewhat annoyed. We were attended to by two different servers, which added to the sense of being hurried. The food, however, was quite delicious overall. The chicken schnitzel with potatoes, mustard sauce, and coleslaw was very good, though the schnitzel was a bit dry. The potatoes were nicely crispy and salty for my taste. The fresh salad, made with tomato, cucumber, and radish with sour cream, was a bit bland. The dumplings were acceptable but lacked sufficient salt. The chicken wings tasted good, though they were also a bit dry, and the accompanying sauce could have been thicker. The house lemonade was overly sweet, and while the mojito tasted okay, it lacked a noticeable alcohol presence.Overall, the food had its highs and lows, but the service could use improvement.

The best food options in town. I have visited their different restaurants in many locations and it never dissapoints. T1 mall has the best view and a very nice terrace. I have been there several times and will visit again. I recommend to try their tea options.

Pelm is an exceptional restaurant in Tallinn that offers a delightful culinary experience. The decor is modern and inviting, while the service is friendly and attentive. The menu is diverse and features an excellent selection of dishes, including some traditional Russian and Uzbek cuisine with a modern twist. The ingredients are fresh, and the presentation is beautiful. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality of food and service provided. The overall atmosphere is cozy and intimate, perfect for a date or a special occasion. There is sitting with a nice view or inside, which is spacious and cool. A little gem tucked away at the T1 mall.

For the speed of service and aesthetic, it was great. For the actual taste of the food and the price, it was subpar. I shared the wings which were pretty standard, then had the lamb dumplings which were frankly pretty tasteless. It came with salsa which improved it but was a strange combo.

Wonderful kurze at an original site. The flavor was spectacular. The staff was attentive and professional. They were not taking card payments at the time of my visit, but it was easy to transfer the money to their account.

Found out about this place on tik tok. I love all kinds of dumplings, so was very excited to try this restaurant! I ordered the cheese Chuttu and mix of the Kurze. Absolutely loved the Lamb, Beef, and Potato dumplings! I forgot what the juice was called, but that was very good as well! Such a cute space and loved being able to sit outside under the tent with a breeze.

This was my second visit to The Kurze, and unfortunately, it couldn’t have been more different from the first. While our winter visit was marked by superb service and great food, this time around was a real letdown. We sat outside, where part of the kitchen was visible—and what we witnessed was truly off-putting. One of the cooks was preparing dishes with a cigarette in his mouth, which is absolutely unacceptable in any food service setting. Adding to the discomfort, one of the staff tables was occupied by off-duty employees, who were louder than any of the customers. One blonde staff member repeatedly shouted offensive Russian swear words, such as “na hui”, loud enough for guests to hear. Only after one of the cooks noticed our expressions did he ask her to lower her voice—and they moved their conversation just outside the tent, which, by the way, is transparent, so the behavior continued within sight and earshot. It felt like the staff had taken over the space and we, as customers, were unwelcome intruders. The atmosphere was the opposite of what you’d expect in hospitality—no warmth, no attentiveness, just the feeling that the team was too comfortable “at home” to bother with service. The kitchen was outdoors, and in the intense summer heat, we noticed ingredients left out on the counter while the cook joined the others behind the tent —again, clearly prioritizing their break over hygiene or customer experience. I can’t say for certain that my unsettled stomach and sleepless night because of it were caused by the food, but the lack of basic food safety didn’t inspire confidence. As for service—well, there wasn’t much. We had to place our order at the cashier, read the menu from a wall board, carry our own drinks to the table, and were essentially left to fend for ourselves. The only thing we didn’t do was collect the food from the kitchen ourselves. It’s truly disheartening to see how much things have changed. Kurze once felt like a charming, well-run spot, but now seems to be running without standards or oversight. I genuinely hope they turn things around—because I know they’re capable of much better. We visited July 23rd, around 5pm

AMAZING food and lovely service. We were welcomed by the lovely staff and introduced to the menu. The kind lady took her time to explain each dish and the ingredients it had. This was our first time trying food from Dagestan. We had the delicious stuffed Kurze which had different stuffing according to their colours (pumpkin, lamb, beef, cheese, and potato). Each one was filled with so much flavour and was absolutely delicious! The other dish we ordered (I forgot to take a picture as we devoured it) is Hachapuri, which is a beautiful shaped bread stuffed with cheese, butter and an egg. It was very delicious. I can’t wait to come again and try this place with new dishes. Thank you!

Very good food and very reasonably priced. Ordered tofu salad, fried green been (but without the chili) and we both ordered honey chicken. Verr closely located to our hotel too, walking distance - it took about 6 minutes each way.

This restaurant is right next to our hotel, and it turns out to be a hidden gem. The entrance is somewhat not easy to spot. It's not really a big restaurant, with a compact dining hall. I consider the food authentic, quite delicious and served in a good portion.

Amazing food, even better service and big portions! We ordered cucumber salad, which was very tasty. The pork dish was even better. Literally paid 15€/person and got the biggest food coma afterwards.

The spicy beef was the toughest beef I ever had. 水煮牛肉的牛肉太老了。番茄鸡蛋很好吃！fried eggs with tomato is amazingly good. Extra charge $2.5 for rice, which is way too much. WiFi password is hard to understand: long and poorly written. I spoke Chinese to the front Asian lady, and she responded “I don’t speak your language.” Fair pricing otherwise.

After reading the reviews, my expectations were high — and I was not disappointed! We got a table right away even without a reservation. The staff took our order quickly and brought everything out in no time. I loved that you can choose your spice level — a great touch for spice lovers! Everyone was friendly, attentive, and clearly great at what they do. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to everyone. Keep up the great work!

I eat a lot at Hans, they have a lot of nice meals but my favourite is the hotpot, it is between 30 - 50 euros per person

Very delicious and authentic chineese food! The sole waiter - a young man - was very friendly, fast, english speaking and did an extremly good job. Cheap. Restaurant was almost full even on a Sunday afternoon which is always a good sign.

I am working as Japanese chef in Estonia. Honesty say I was surprised that I felt great effort from this ramen because we are struggling to get Asian ingredients. Even though taste was completely different from Japanese one so far, I just want to say thank you.

My boyfriend ordered the broth of miso, which tasted good but my order was soyu, which tasted kinda plain. However, the ingredients were fresh and well prepared. The egg was perfectly cooked.

We came here thinking it would be a quick meal since it’s a ramen-focused spot, but we were wrong. The drinks came out fast, but we ended up waiting about an hour for our fried chicken appetizer, two bowls of ramen, and a salmon donburi. We overheard the waitress telling another table that everyone came at once, which explained the delay. At least the ramen and donburi were delicious, though that might’ve been partly because we were starving by the time they arrived. The waitress was kind enough to comp us a mochi dessert to make up for the wait. The mochi (raspberry, pistachio, and mango) were fresh and really tasty.

I eat a lot of ramen, and the one here truly stands out. I ordered Miso ramen with pork. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and there’s also outdoor seating available. Service was friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely recommend.

First of all, shoyu pork was amazing! Soy sauce ramen was ok, lacked the taste. Donburi was nice, a lot of toppings.

Great sushi place near Kadriorg. They have kids favourite chicken tempura. Great selection, nice portions. From non tempura side fresh salmon is probably the best. They even added one pair of chopsticks just in case without me adding those as I usually eat with my own wasable sticks 🫶.

I had their food two days in a row while I was travelling in Tallinn. The first time is from Bolt food delivery, I stayed in a flat not far from the restaurant, but it’s raining on that night. I was very happy I get my food very quick, and both the dragon roll and salmon donburi are extremely yummy. And the second time is the next day before I leave for the airport, I ordered two different types of sushi to pick up(thru Bolt Food). The staff was very friendly and nice, and I love the cute pictures on the walls inside the restaurant. I would recommend it to anyone who fancy Asian foods in Tallinn.

Absolutely loved my experience here! I had the grilled halloumi salad with roasted beets and walnuts — light, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The staff was warm and helpful, and the music playing in the background added to the cozy vibe. A perfect lunch spot for anyone who appreciates fresh ingredients.

If I actually lived in Tallinn, I would eat here all the time! Fresh ingredients, authentic spices, plenty of variety and pay by weight - what more could you ask for, really? I love the concept and the ability to try many different types of Korean sides and main dishes. Will definitely be back during my stay here.

At first I didn't really expect anything great due to some negative comments here..but guys, come here and try yourself. Strongly recommend adding one rice 🍚 due to the meats here pretty strong flavour and I believe will definitely go well with rice. Cash and card accepted here. The service from the lady is so friendly, helpful and always gives her beautiful smiles to everyone. Totally brightened my Day 😁 thanks girl. I would definitely recommend this place to those who love Korean food. The environment with a nice K-pop song is also lovely. First time to try here so I put all the meat in one or two for food tasting. Love them all !!!!

Korean buffet restaurant where you pay according to weight of the food. There were plenty of options available and the food was very delicious. The service was friendly and atmophere nice. A popular place during the lunch time. Cost of food was 2,5 euros per 100g. Big bowl of rice cost 1.5 euros. Our two portions cost around 18e in total + drink. Toilets are in the same building but outside the restaurant.

Everything was great and delicious in buffet. Pay per weight.

This is the first Korean restaurant outside of Korea that tastes just like Korea! I lived in Seoul for 2.5 years and I miss the food everyday. I'm so glad that my new home, Tallinn, has such an incredible Korean restaurant. 엄청 맛있어! 파이팅, 고마워요! Hopefully they have 송편 for 추석 soon😆

The fried seasoned chicken was so good I had to order 2 portions. If you tried the HS chicken sauce from Lotteria by any chance, this one would have been the perfect dupe in terms of taste. The pork bulgogi was good but a bit sweet with my personal preference.

Had a family celebration in June at this place and definitely recommend the food at this place. I enjoyed my tuna tartar - nice and fresh. The lamb was cooked to perfection - medium minus. Desserts were amazing - the raspberry halva is a meal on its own and most of us who tried the lime meringue swore they’d come back for this one alone. Others from our party of 11 tried duck (again, lovely and perfectly cooked), sushi (fresh) and beef pasta was nice. From the kids menu, crispy chicken with fries was eaten in one gulp by our picky kid, so happy dance there. And they could handle our large group with small kids, so bravo and thank you! We’ll definitely come back again.

We arrived within 1hour of closing time and the waitress was kind enough to accept us. We ordered food which took only 15min to be ready. Everything was really delicious. Loved the sweet potato fries and the ceasar salad. The drinks menu was good too. It was not too pricy either.

Loved everything! Salmon on the sushi was very good as well ( many places in Tallinn serve salmon that doesn’t taste how fresh raw salmon should taste). Service was great too.

Good food , very friendly service Free parking,, amazing Sushi and sushimi. Amazing starter fish salmon dish. Probably best Sushi 🍣 in Tallinn. Recommend to go and try.

Another choice of bread would have lifted this experience for us. We opted for the rib melt, but the hot dog bread it came in did not stand the test sadly. Dry and reminded us of exactly what it felt like - store bought hot dog bread. Cabbage salad also too wet for the bread. The fries were super. They were perfectly salty, crunchy and warm. Place itself is cool, great drink selection and service good. Really liked the presentation of the food and the overall style of the place. But, a great sandwhich needs great bread.

This small sandwich shop is tucked away at the south end of the Old Town. The selection of sandwiches is great, the fries are excellent (make sure to choose one of the delicious sauces that comes with the fries), and the service was friendly and quick. The prices are reasonable which makes this a great find.

Small place. Cute and cool. Service was great very polite and fun guys. Inside vibes are great. Would say healthier fast food place. Portions are bit small for the price, but again the location is in the center and quality is good. You can definitely feel satisfied from the portion but maybe 1.5-2 sandwiches would be more filling. In front the is parking only free for 15mins.

Picked up some croque monsieur sandwiches for a road trip and have no regrets about it. Even better when you pair it with honey mustard sauce on the side. They were ready within eight minutes and travel well. Gooey, yummy, with quality ingredients.

Really nice place with sandwiches made on the spot! They have really good prices and nice variety. I felt the size was not too big so you either need to take 2 or accompany it with the fries to make a meal. The fries were frozen but quite crispy so I enjoyed them! We’re coming back to try out another one!

Absolutely delicious! We took the burrata, the reuben and fries, and everything was so good! I can't wait to return to try more of the menu because this is 100% the best sandwich shop in Tallinn.

I visited Barbarea during their French Week and tried the special tasting menu. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience—the atmosphere was nice, and the concept was well thought out. That said, there were a few minor issues. The tartar was great, but only one crackling per person to eat it with felt a bit limited. The deer fillet could have been more tender, and the sauce was a bit too salty for my taste

Nice place, good service. Food tasted great but I found it overpriced for the quantity, especially the portion of that grilled octopus with mashed. But overall great cozy atmosphere. Would def recommend this place as I’m pretty bored of ordinary menus u see everywhere (like duck breast or grilled fish)

I really enjoyed the time spent at Barbarea. The atmosphere and vibe were great, and I really liked the interior design. The food was flavorful and satisfying. However, the price over the food amount ratio is quite steep. It's really expensive and the portions are small. Lasagna frittas had a great taste and lovely crunch but only 2 small pieces. Parsnip hummus was lovely, had a sweet taste, and the olive oil didn't overpower it with bitterness. They present starters as dishes to be shared, but there was only one pita, which was not enough for the hummus portion. Ravioli with mushrooms and potatoes had a delicate structure, almost falling apart. The taste was subtle and enjoyable. Only 3 pieces are served. The lamb ribs were flavorful, and the pickled vegetables on top were a really interesting addition. As a person who loves vegetables and pickled food, I found it satisfying. The ribs itself were gently cooked, and the meat was very tender. However, because of it, there was quite a big amount of fat. I was not a fan and probably spent a meditating 30 minutes trying to separate the meat from the bones and fat xD. Ribs were also served with croissant dough flatbread and a spicy sour sauce, which I loved. The tiramisu was a hit for us and the favorite dish of all. It had a strong rum flavor and wasn't too sweet. I appreciate the creativity put in this dessert - it was truly wonderful. The service was lovely. The waiters were attentive and high energy.

One of the best restaurants I have visited lately. Only flaw we could find was slightly overcooked octopus that tasted still great. All the other stuff from the tasting menu was varied and the sharing worked nicely. Service was absolutely delightful and wines were paired nicely. One of us did not like dessert and got savoury portion instead, this was nice touch. Terrace was fantastic, the area has a great atmossphere, it was all shots firing and nothing was left in the barrel.

Firstly, I will say this was a good experience. The area is incredible and it enhances how you feel about the restaurant. Onto the not great parts - the food was GOOD! But, really nothing special for a Michelin Guide restaurant - the menu is unimaginative. Having said that, the price is decent and worth it. Where this place falls flat is service. I had to ask two separate servers (one twice) for cutlery which meant my food was cold by the time my fork and knife came. The servers seem to only care when you try get their attention vigorously or once your plate is empty. The potential of this restaurant is immense, but it's let down sorely for an unimaginative menu (which tastes pretty decent) and poor service.

Enjoyed a tasting menu of around six dishes, each carefully composed to showcase a mix of international influences and seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. The flavors were well-balanced, the presentation thoughtful. The setting is warm yet airy, blending the raw character of its former industrial space with creative touches that make it feel both modern and welcoming. While Barbarea didn’t earn a star or Bib Gourmand in the 2025 Michelin Guide, it is still featured as one of Estonia’s noteworthy modern bistros — a testament to its quality and its role in Tallinn’s growing culinary scene. Verdict: A great choice for anyone looking for a casual-yet-refined evening, with inventive dishes, a creative atmosphere, and a genuine sense of place.

we finally went to this praised Barbarea. well, one can argue about the atmosphere, but all that crowd in a narrow hall and that horrible light scratched from the very beginning. The music was so bad that I couldn't even understand what the song was about 😏. I chose the focaccia with sardines and also the tartare. The tartar was tasty, but it was far from focaccia. venison and blue mussels for the main course. the sauce was the best part of the whole dish, but the deer would have liked a little less cooking. blue sea mussels - unfortunately, the sauce they offer is too acidic, after the third bite it starts to resist and spoils the appetite. We had tiramisu for dessert. Again - I really liked that it wasn't sweet as is currently the fashion, but just right. However, the fact that the spices were put in the cake did not suit it at all. it was too much. the champagne was wonderful. as always, when the waiter asked how it tasted and we share honest opinions there, the waiter lost all interest in listening to us, which again showed this place in a negative light. unfortunately, it was a disappointment before a pleasant experience. The whole thing over there looked a bit like a barn. I don't recommend.

Good food and service, quiet place with a nice view. Try the dumplings, you can mix and match. Also I did like their duck 🦆 as well.

Had chicken baos and dim sum with chicken spinach and calves and legs. Atmosphere was cozy, service was welcoming and nice. Definitely a place to try for new flavours and tastes.

Am not an expert in asian food, but it tasted good. Affordable lunch offers. Have to go through Apollo bookstore to reach it. Order at the counter, they'll give you a beeper that goes off when your food is ready.

Terrible customer service, the cashier looks grumpy and very-unwelcoming. Ordered a Large Ramen and some dim sum, the dim sum tasted like the frozen ones you can get from an Asian store. The ramen was the WORST of all, they didn’t even cook it through. The soup taste was not bad, but the noodle... oh man. The noodle was hard, feel like they boiled it for less than 5 minutes just to rush to close the store (even though there wasn’t much people and it was 30 mins before it closes). The first and only terrible experience I’ve ever had from eating out in Estonia, honestly... not even close to decent.

The ramen is pretty good with different ingredient and the amount of ramen is not large, which is very good. The egg in the ramen is so tasty with perfect consistency. Dim sum is a bit expensive because I can eat many but the taste is good! The environment is nice, cool and calm! Will return.

The "jalapeno" fries included a whole 2 slices of jalapeno on 1 french fry for the whole thing. The teriyaki rice with shrimp had 3 small shrimps on it. The rice was undercooked.. also ordered some chicken which I didn't finish cause it tasted absolutely disgusting. Price-wise it was ok. Overall would not recommend this place. It's not the worst place I've ever been to but it's pretty close and I would definitely go to literally any other place instead. Also the ordering system sucks.

The food is just bland and uninspired. The previous menu at least had some interesting options, but the new one is a flop. The vegan hot dog was particularly shocking — any chef in the world should feel ashamed to serve something like that in a restaurant. It’s just a dry bun with a sad-looking sausage, and you have to go to the counter yourself to try and scrape some sauces from almost empty containers. Honestly, even gas station hot dogs look more appealing. Why? The cabbage was just burnt to a crisp — no flavor, no texture, nothing enjoyable about it. We tried all the meat-free options, and unfortunately, most of them were just…boring and too chaotic to my opinion. The Pinot Grigio served by the glass was terrible, and they didn’t even let me taste it before serving. The waiter didn’t bother to ask why I left the glass untouched and ordered a beer instead. Both times we visited, we ended up paying over 100 euros (mostly for drinks, to wash disappointment down) and it was absolutely not worth it. I really don’t see any reason to come back.

The best bakery in town!! The choice the quality the taste - everything 10000% Breakfast is delicious. Good service as well. Highly recommended.

Decent Experience, but Needs Improvement I visited this restaurant for dinner with friends and tried a variety of appetizers (small plates) and main courses. While nothing was outright bad, the execution didn’t quite meet the expectations set by the menu and pricing. Food Experience: • Kyiv kotlet (Japanese style) – The crust was noticeably overfried, and the potato purée had lumps, which affected the texture. • Chicken, duck, and pumpkin dishes – All had burnt skin, not the good crispy kind, but actually burnt edges that were tough to eat. Highlights: • The yellowtail tataki and tartare were excellent—fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. • Enjoyed the beer cocktails, which were pleasantly balanced. Since the place just opened, I hope they take the time to refine their execution to better match the prices. Looking forward to seeing improvements in the future!

Quite mixed feelings about this place. The atmosphere inside is nice and welcoming, but the outdoor seating area has a completely different vibe — it feels cheap and dull. The menu is a bit confusing and makes it hard to distinguish starters from mains. Thankfully, the service was exceptional and informative, which helped a lot 👍 (thank you, Helena 🫶). As for the food — the flavors were good, but it felt like something was missing. The rather pricey steak (€28) didn’t come with any sides, just the sauce. The Chicken Nanban could use more variety in the salad — it was just green salad. On the positive side, the salmon tataki made a great starter, and the fries were also tasty. Nice variety of beers and beer cocktails!

The menu outside was different than inside - and every seat inside was full. We had to eat hot dogs outside, which were delicious but not filling. The place is nice and I will definitely try the morning coffee and pastries.

Finally visited the new kid on the block and I understand the obsession. Visiting early on a Sunday morning, it's clear that they're popular. And with a huge selection of expertly crafted pastries, well priced delicious coffees and friendly service, I understand why. With plenty of seating it still filled up, so don't be surprised if you have to wait in line. But it's worth it. The sausage roll and camembert pastries were fresh, tasty and unique for the Tallinn pastry scene. The custard donut was soooo good. Next time, I'll try the cinnabuns, which looked phenomenal. And I'm keen to come back and experience their night time resto scene. **edit after 3rd visit: have not had a bad pastry here! Gotta them all!

Great pastries (sausage roll, bun with camambert, and of course almond croissant with an orange twist), decent decaf and overall great vibe! Coming back to try other sweets. Update: got to try their oats for breakfast (so bright but I wish the portion to be bigger and the taste less sweet) and protein latte with cardamom (very good, both iced and warm)
