What can I say… it was worth the wait! The food was delicious and the service was great, even though some people seemed to have their doubts :( The place is small, so a little patience is needed — but totally worth it. Great flavor!!! Highly recommended!

I want to really give a shout out to the patient, friendly staff here. This place is so famous and so busy that it would be easy to be bored or irritable. But true to Colombian culture, everyone really treated me as an individual and wanted to make sure I got what I needed and had a positive experience. Wait time was around 15 min and then I was seated at the bar area. I ordered the classics, chocolate completo and the tamale. I’d describe it as good, solid comfort food (and generous portions). The tamale tasted very fresh and the chicken meat inside was still on the bone. My bill came to COL 28,000. Sat next to a woman from Bogotá who came for the tamale (an enthusiastic repeat customer) and loved the place for the food and the rich history, so it’s interesting to see that the appeal is not just for tourists.

Just stopped in to grab some dessert. Had the milk flan and the sweet curd. Both were good. The place fills up quickly and there are not a lot of places to sit…so get there early or be ready to wait. The service was quick.

One of the oldest restaurants in this part of Bogota and well worth a visit. Would heartily recommend the ajiaco which was hearty and super tasty. Hot chocolate with cheese was a bit strange but we'll put that down to an acquired taste... Worth the wait if you can get a table.

This restaurant is in the top 50 in the world and it’s easy to see why. Service was impeccable and he food delicious. I would desire little more flavor but hey for a colombia restaurant it was great. The pan de yuca rolls were amazing, even so much I saved two for the staff at the front desk from JW Marriott nearby as they recommended I try it. Then next was the crab bisque which had lots of crab meat and finally the twice cooked duck, which sent me over the top. I was full and happy so much that I ordered another drink and sipped on that for the next 30 minutes so that my food could digest. Lololol I can’t remember my waiter name but he was amazing. I arrived at 630 so not many persons were there but by 8pm people were rolling in and the atmosphere became much more energetic. Thank you for everything and see next time as I wanted to try many more dishes but I am only one person…haha Ciao

Overall a fantastic meal. I slightly preferred ElCielo in Medellín and Celele in Cartagena, but Leo is still unmissable in Bogotá. (Did the lunch tasting menu on a Friday in early June 2025; easy to book last minute) Food 🟢 Most dishes were delicious, beautifully presented, and made with rare ingredients sourced from all around Colombia. Loved that they served 8 incredible amuses bouches. The creamy seafood rice, the pacu cooked 3 ways, and the heart of palm dessert were unreal. 🟡 They served only one dessert — disappointing for a tasting menu of this caliber. 🟡 The portions were particularly small and we walked out hungry — the only fine dining restaurant we tried in Colombia this happened. 🔴 One of the most gorgeous dishes of my life (the cheese & flower dish) was so floral & salty it was difficult to eat — very rare at a top restaurant. Cocktails 🔴 Our first cocktails tasted so offputting that we had to return them (El Maíz and Río Magdalena) and the others were mediocre at best (Bougainvillea & Azulón Amazónico). Overall the cocktails were very unbalanced and just tasted… bad. Very surprising considering their award-winning cocktail bar is next door. Service/Ambiance 🟢 The service was very good. Most servers didn’t speak great English but I’ll never forget the general manager. His presence alone made the meal memorable and I wish I remembered his name. 🟡 With its high ceiling and tables far apart, the ambiance felt a little cold. 🟡 We asked for extra bread, which they kindly baked just for us, but didn’t warn us it would take an extra hour. If we had known, we wouldn’t have ordered.

I support Leo’s philosophy, the fact that they prioritize ingredient sourcing above all else, and their avant-garde approach to cuisine; in fact, it’s what drew me to invest in a dining experience here. Tasting esoteric Colombian ingredients was certainly a highlight. Aside from this, however, I found the food extremely disappointing. As someone who cooks every day in a kitchen, to me it seems like their cooks are not tasting/quality-checking the food they’re putting out. Both my partner and I (and I tend to season on the aggressive side) found almost every bite to be too heavily salted in a way that overtook the nuances of the very ingredients they intended to highlight. Their risotto came out way shy of al dente, and also extremely salty. I really couldn’t believe it. Their quail bone broth, which we were instructed to savor alone with a special straw, had the flavor of a muddy onion stock that boiled too hard and didn’t get skimmed properly. Many of the hot dishes we received were room temperature by the time they were served. If it were any other restaurant, you would simply send these dishes back, have them corrected, and move on with your night; for an experience like this, however, it feels rude and interrupts the flow of the evening to do this. When you’re paying this much though, these things should never happen in the first place. We enjoyed the dessert courses the most, so I have those pictured here. Many thanks to the pastry chef. I don’t generally support negative reviews because I understand how hard it can be to make people happy and because I know what it’s like to be on the receiving end of them. At the same time, however, in this case both potential diners and the restaurant itself should both be made aware of these issues which is why I felt the need to share my experience indiscriminately.

Presented through a lens of cultural intersectionality that the average Americans can't de-politicize. So... Colombian all around and spectacular at that. The menu is short and simple, with a few options of dumplings (including a vegetarian one with mushrooms) that are very yummy! I really didn't care much for this place. I'm giving them 3 stars because the flavors were good and at least they had in stock everything we ordered. We ordered the ramen and some dumplings. After living for 25 years in NYC and visiting Japan, I think I have a pretty good idea of what Ramen should taste and look like, and this wasn't it. The first and major disappointment was the size, OMG! I just saw my Ramen coming in a tiny ice cream size bowl, forget about trying to at least imitate the nice deep japanese bowls, this was like a ramen sample size. It was served lukewarm, and thank God we added the 5 pieces of chicken extra otherwise it would have been only the broth, some scarce veggies, a tiny amount of noodles, and HALF egg lol, not even the full egg. The cinnamon-jamaica drink was also served in tinny cups. I guess the only thing that was adult size were the dumplings. I'm aware that restaurants in Colombia try to minimize the size of their dishes to increase the profits but in this case I felt robbed. Never again, and I'm not recommending this place to any expats either, you will be unpleasantly surprised.

Excellent food that is either very authentic or an excellent chef interpretation of the original. The Dan Dan noodles, spicy chicken, and chicken dumplings are all excellent, and when they say things are spicy, it's legit. Pair anything with a Club Colombian. Staff is nice, and they play awesome old school hip hop. Would be good in any city.

The Dumplings were ok, not as the one you try in Mainland China. Most of the traditional ingredients used when creating dumplings are very hard to find in South America. I have only been once and the food was ok. The service was relatively fast but the variety of sauces is limited compare to the one we find in China.

Masa tends to be a great place to have a casual lunch or breakfast, we went for the salads that you can choose how to build, overall an amazing option, great in size and taste! We also ordered the steak sandwich and it was great!!!! Service was slow and very disperse, but the orders came out fairly alright. Price wise it was surprisingly higher than what I expected given their concept but overall you could say they use quality ingredients. I’ve been to MASA 105 before - loved the concept. The atmosphere, food, and the crowd complement each other and together curate a modern, enjoyable dining experience. MASA 70 satisfied in terms of atmosphere and food, but the service was lacking far too much. We waited more than enough time and it seemed that the waiter forgot to put in our order for more coffee and dessert. The restaurant seemed understaffed and our waiter was as running around clearly very busy so we didn’t want to intrude, but once we noticed another couple next to us become frustrated and get up to ask for the check, we decided it was time to do the same. I found it peculiar that once we were at the counter paying, the two desserts and coffee we ordered half an hour ago were now being served. We finished our transaction, took dessert to go, and ate during our walk home. It was delicious, though it would’ve been nicer to have enjoyed it at the restaurant with some more coffee. I would give this location another chance, but next time I’m coming when I have a few more hours to spare.

I was not convinced with their interpretation of a French Toast as it was very soggy almost like a bread pudding. Still the flavor was great and the bananas gave it a nice touch. My friends enjoyed their dishes also. The english sandwich was good but simple. Their pistachios croissant were asking for more nuttines.

Another great bakery in Bogota with fresh sourdough bread, a great selection of foods and a bright interior (+ a nice outdoor patio). I’ve been to this Masa multiple times and really like it for their food and atmosphere - both for breakfast or lunch. It’s one of the nicest Masa locations I know and has lots of seating and is always bustling with people. I would give it 4 stars, just because there’s a few things that could be improved. The main thing is service. Despite seeming to have a lot of staff, it takes a long time to order and sometimes we had to ask multiple people before someone took our order. And no one comes by again to ask if you want any additional food or drinks, even if you’ve been sitting there with empty drinks or table for a while. Usually I don’t care so much, but I really noticed it here. Regarding breakfast, I really like the shakshuka (with an extra order of bread) and the avocado toast. The pancakes looked really nice as well. I tried the French toast - it was ok, but not my favorite. When it comes to drinks, their coffee is good, but their almond milk isn’t the best. It was foamy, but it made the coffee a bit bland in my opinion. Aside from that, I can highly recommend everything from their bakery. The bread is really great!

Jeisson was our server the first time I visited and he was amazing. Diego was my server the next day ( I had to go back again) and he was very attentive and so very patient with our large party. Best pastries and coffee in Bogotá. This place became a favorite to us during our visit to Colombia. They have a good variety in their menu for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Pastries are awesome as well as their coffee. Kudos to Ivan, the barista, as he is quick, crafty and know what he is doing (the only one in charge of the coffee area with hundreds of orders per day and he delivers!). Breakfast burger was a favorite as well as the fruit bowls, fresh squeeze mandarin juice and French toast. Great quality and great service. Keep it up Masa, we'll be back!

Best breakfast and brunch in Bogota. Super recommended: The Tartine de aguacate & huevo; Danish de pecans & caramel and of course the Flat white or the cappuccino. AMAZING!!!

This place has no real supervisors so if something goes wrong they'll try to summon you a security guard. Then from security they will flip it to the police. Just cause no one wants to do their job. Also all the motorcycles they have in the store are for show. Atleast the good ones. They never have nothing you can just pay and drive off with.
