Dim sum restaurant
Cha chaan teng (Hong Kong-style cafe)
Restaurant
Ying Ying Tea House is a no-frills eatery that serves authentic Cantonese cuisine, sparing you the need to travel all the way to Hong Kong. The menu boasts an extensive selection of dim sum specialties like Spareribs, Chicken Feet, Taro Puff, and Kuchay Dumpling. Additionally, they offer congee, rice toppings, and noodles at affordable prices. The restaurant has a simple ambiance with an open area on the ground floor and air conditioning on the second floor.
We were greeted by a few slots behind a waiting list but it literally only took us less than 10 minutes to wait. The staff are quick and attentive, although not as polite. Food is good with just the right portions. We ordered a lot and paid around ₱1,500.
Jenina L — Google review
Overrated. Food was served cold. We ordered hakaw, siomai, steamed lumpia, asado, white chicken, yangchow and milk. All of it were served cold or room temperature. Food and serving is okay considering the price. Won’t probably go back. Servers were nice and polite. Parking - no parking space, you will only park outside the street
Anna E — Google review
Food was mostly cold and dry which greatly affected the taste. Check the menu and picture of the spring rolls, i added a picture of what they actually look like lol… sweet and sour chicken looked like they cooked leftover chicken from a previous dinner, tonight portions of chicken covered in breading.

By the time we visited this restaurant it is starting to get crowded. Best time to visit is by 10:00am on weekdays. Food is simple but perfectly balanced. We ordered Kaylan, King Dao porkchop and the salt and pepper squid which is soft and flavorful.
Niko F — Google review
Upon arriving, it seems intimidating seeing the line but there's a staff member that lists your name, gets your order, and gives you a form. Once there are free seats availble, you just bring the order form to the staff near your seat and wait for your order. All the food we got to try were really good and tasty but unfortunately we over ordered. That was ok cause they would pack it for us before going. We really recommend the cold cuts platter and the beef mami noodles! But honestly whatever you order is a good idea haha. Definitely would recommend and would bring our family and friends there again.

This review is based on personal experience and aims to give the establishment a chance to improve for a better customer experience. Honestly, I don’t understand the "hype" or maybe I just ordered the wrong items. We tried the Chicken Mushroom, Xiao Long Bao, Pork Congee with Century Egg, and Duck Noodle Soup. It was a weekend when we visited. The place was packed, and there was a queue before we could get in. We waited roughly 30 minutes to be seated, and another 30 minutes before our food was finally served. Food: The pricing was okay, but the food quality was hit or miss. Some dishes were flavorful, while others were underwhelming. Serving size was just right and filling. I'm trying to find something remarkable about their food, but here’s my honest take: Xiao Long Bao: Disappointing. The filling tasted like it was mostly meat extenders. At ₱125 for 4 pieces, I expected quality. Pork Congee with Century Egg: This one was good and filling! The catch, you have to put condiments to make sure it's tasty to your liking. 😭😭😭 Chicken Mushroom: A pleasant surprise — it had the right balance of saltiness and tanginess from the pickled garlic. I liked it. Duck Noodle Soup: Unexpectedly good! My bf enjoyed this dish the most. Service: The staff were diligent but still needs improvement. I appreciafe their effort, especially during peak hours but still, management could be better. Atmosphere: Needs DEEP CLEANING. The floor was oily, and I almost slipped. The place was extremely busy, with a lot of customers waiting for their orders. It felt a bit chaotic inside. (OR BECAUSE IT'S MANILA... IDK 🤷‍♀️) Suggestions: No hate at all—but please do a thorough deep cleaning! A clean environment makes a huge difference in the dining experience. THEY HAVE SUPER CUTE CATS THO!!! (tri-colored cats) 😻

Old school decor, fantastic atmosphere, amazing service, horrible food. Was really looking forward to eating here. Went in the morning for yum cha (dim sum). The bao was half cooked (meat was pink and raw), all other dim sum was cold or lukewarm at best. 2 stands of hair in veggie (or at least i hope it was just hair) and a hair in the noodle. We told them about the bao as that was the first thing we tried and they said they'll change it straight away. Then we realised everything else was served tasting like they were leftovers (not saying it was but it tasted like it as it was dry, cooked and rubbery). In hindsight should have went in the afternoon for fresh food, but why serve it if you are not going to serve it fresh? Definitely not returning.
SS — Google review
The food is hit or miss. We ordered yang chow rice, beef mami, hakao, xiaolongbao, pepper beef, garlic chicken, and spicy squid. The dimsums are not served hot, xiaolongbao is missing the juice. The pepper beef is the best, its savory and the meat is tender. We came on a weekend so I think it adds up to the reason why the food is served late...we waited for an hour with multiple follow ups on the service crew. Other tables also experienced the same thing, so I think they're a bit understaffed.

Hong Kong style fast food restaurant
Tim Ho Wan is a renowned Chinese restaurant known for its delectable dim sum and famous baked pork buns. With locations in Hong Kong and Manila, the latter is praised for its friendly service and exceptional food. The menu features specialties like BBQ pork pineapple bun, congee, dim sums, dumplings, and beef brisket tendon noodles. While some have found the portion sizes to be smaller than expected, others rave about dishes like spinach dumplings and spicy dumplings.
Did not miss the chance to revisit Tim Ho Wan PH 🥢 Tim Ho Wan, originally from Hong Kong, is famous worldwide for being "the world's most inexpensive Michelin-starred dim sum restaurant." While the Michelin star specifically applies to its Hong Kong branches, Tim Ho Wan in the Philippines maintains the same commitment to high-quality, authentic dim sum at affordable prices. In photos: Salted Egg Yolk Custard Bun (steamed), Pork Spareribs Rice, and Milk Tea with Black Pearl and Brown Sugar Syrup.

January 2025: It's our first time to try this place. The food was indeed tasty, but I found the serving sizes a bit on the smaller side compared to similar places. I tried the Yang Chow fried rice topped with Pork Chop; while it had great potential, it leaned a bit too salty for my taste. Overall, it's a spot worth visiting, just with a note on portion sizes!
Cute N — Google review
Price: see menu. moderately priced Location: One Ayala 2nd floor Customer Service/Experience: staff got our order but forgot to punch our glutinous rice order. ended up having a bad lunch experience as we waited for an additional 10 min. the rest of the food got cold already while waiting for the rice-based order. Restroom: mall provided Parking: mall provided Promotions: see menu Comments: prob. not going back for some time here.

Something different about this place, I have dined at both their OG Outlet in Hong Kong as well as their first overseas ventures in Singapore. Somehow the food they serve here taste different. Saltier than what I had previously. Not sure if it was because they wanted to tweak the profile to suit the local crowd here? Beyond that slight difference, everything was generally ok. Worth mentioning was that their BBQ Pork Rice Rolls had more substantial chunks of BBQ Pork as compared to their other places
Ed T — Google review
First time eating at Tim Ho Wan, because my friend said it is going to be acquired by Jollibee. I am not really a good food critic but I just wanted to share my thoughts as a person who rarely eats at these kinds of restaurants. We ordered different food options, but I haven't tried them all so I'll just rate those I tasted. Baked Bun Pork BBQ - this is just wonderful, I have no words to explain how magnificent this bun is, the texture and the taste was perfect. Easily 5/5. Rice & Beef w/ Fried Egg - it feels like just a regular dish, but it tastes different because of the special sauce they put in my dish. Not really my taste, 3/5. Glutinous Rice w/ Lotus Leaf - this is the first time I saw a sticky rice served as like a main dish, and it has meat inside it. The taste is good, because it both has sweetness from the sticky rice and savory flavor from the meat. Probably 4/5. Pork Dumpling w/ Shrimp - i don't know if I can describe this one correctly but, it feels just like a regular dumpling. Tastes regular 3/5. The service is alright, the staff can accommodate but it takes a little while for it. There is no service charge, and the atmosphere is just right.
Matthew B — Google review
The food at this branch just didn’t seem as fresh as in other branches, especially their siomai, hakaw and pork chop fried rice. The service was fine. The restaurant itself felt cramped and if you are on a table for two there is not much space for food. Maybe they just had an off day with the food but outlet branches seem better.
Eric W — Google review
Tim Ho Wan Glorietta 2 is my go-to spot for authentic, high-quality dim sum in Makati. The food is consistently excellent—from their famous Baked Buns with BBQ Pork, which are perfectly crisp on the outside and savory-sweet inside, to their Steamed Prawn Dumplings (Har Gow) and Pork Dumplings with Shrimp (Siu Mai), which are fresh, flavorful, and generously filled. The menu offers a great selection of classic Hong Kong–style dishes, and everything is served fresh and piping hot. Service is fast, efficient, and friendly, making the dining experience smooth even during peak hours. The ambiance is simple and casual, perfect for both quick meals and relaxed gatherings. Despite its Michelin-star reputation, prices remain very reasonable for the quality of food served. If you love dim sum, Tim Ho Wan Glorietta 2 is a must-visit—flavors you can always count on, and a dining experience that keeps you coming back for more.
Dominic F — Google review
This used to be a great place with a long queue of customers. We went to their Glorieta branch and sad to say we did not have a good experience. Service took a while. The store was not busy that time. Our ordered food took a while. Im only able to take photo of the chicken wings but we also got the chowfan rice, pork buns, and a few of the common dimsums

Dim sum restaurant
Chinese restaurant
Dong Bei Dumplings is a small, unassuming dumpling shop located in Binondo, Manila's oldest Chinatown. The shop offers a no-frills dining experience with affordable and freshly made fare. Their specialty is the wide variety of dumplings, including pork, kuchay, and shrimp options that are made fresh on the spot at the front of the shop.
After hearing a lot of buzz about this place, I finally decided to give their dumplings a try, and I must say, they’ve easily become my favorite in town. The dumplings were absolutely delicious—each bite was packed with flavor and had the perfect balance of seasoning. The filling was fresh and tasted like it was made with high-quality ingredients, which really elevated the overall experience. The wrappers were delicate but held up perfectly, creating a satisfying texture that complemented the filling. That being said, one downside I wasn’t thrilled about is that the restaurant is now takeout-only. This wasn’t always the case—before the pandemic, they offered dining-in options, which I really enjoyed. But like many others, they shifted to a takeout model after the pandemic, and it seems they’ve stuck with that ever since. It’s a bit of a letdown for those of us who love the option of sitting down and enjoying a meal in the restaurant’s cozy atmosphere. Still, I completely understand the shift, given the current circumstances. Despite the takeout-only situation, the food itself was incredibly fresh. Everything was packed neatly, and the dumplings still had that just-made quality even after the short ride home. They’re definitely a go-to for when I’m craving dumplings, and I wouldn’t hesitate to order from them again. Overall, while I miss the option to dine in, the quality of the dumplings is still top-notch and well worth it. It’s clear that the place puts a lot of care into their food, and I can’t recommend it enough if you’re in the mood for some of the best dumplings in town. Just make sure you’re ready for a takeout experience!
Jarylle A — Google review
We did a Binondo Food Crawl today and our last stop was Dong Bei. I love their dumplings!!! I can compare it to the dumplings of some Michelin restaurant and it will not disappoint. Though we’ve just tried theor best seller boiled kuchay with pork dumpling. Because there’s no available xiao long bao yet. We love that it is also near the house of Bingo on our favorite tv series “can’t buy me love”
Cheska M — Google review
I honestly get the hype! So we got 14 pieces of the kuchay dumplings. We got it freshly made and looked for a spot for us to eat it. Afterwards, we returned the container for them to dispose it properly. The line seems intimidating but as long as they had stock in hand it was pretty fast to get dumplings. You would finish it really quickly so try to gauge how much your group would eat but it is so good I wont blame you for ordering a lot.
Ria J — Google review
A few minutes walk away from our previous destination, we headed towards the direction of Dong Bei Dumplings—a takeout place that went viral on TikTok for its amazing dumplings placed in an unassuming styrofoam container. I wouldn't comment on the place, as we are not meant to eat inside, but I can applaud the staff members for their swift service and paying great attention to their dumplings. Unfortunately, the other food on the menu wasn't available at the time. 🥟 After waiting for a while in a line, it was finally our turn, and we ordered the fourteen pieces of dumplings that had an affordable price of 200 pesos. We ate at a place nearby, and when we took our first bite into it, it nearly burned our tongues due to how hot it was. Despite that, it was wonderfully juicy and filled to the brim with meat and vegetables that had a slight kick balanced with both saltiness and savoriness. It was quite filling, and we would return for more if we weren't full at the time. 🔥
Mikaela L — Google review
This is a hidden gem in Binondo. It's quite small, but the food makes up to it. If you want to taste authentic Northern Chinese dumplings without leaving Manila, this place is a must-visit. You can see how the dumplings are being wrapped, and you may order uncooked ones to take home. Since the area is quite small, you may have to wait during meal times, so be prepared. Also, it's not conducive for large group. Just take-out, if that's the case. Update: After the pandemic, they became a take-out only store. Nonetheless, their dumplings are still delicious and freshly-made.
Liza L — Google review
Kuchay dumplings by Dong Bei A beloved snack in places like Binondo, Manila—especially famed at spots like Dong Bei in Chinatown. Tried the kuchay dumplings today and honestly, they didn’t live up to the usual standard. The filling lacked flavor, wrappers were fine, but the overall taste just felt flat. For something that’s usually packed with bold garlic-chive goodness, this batch missed the mark. Do yourself a favor and just make it at home to your liking.
Zen I — Google review
we went there by 3pm.. they dont accomodate dine in customer , only pick up . only one food from their menu is available.. out of curiosity we still try whatever is available.. food is okay but i think pricey.. but not sure maybe because of how they prepare food
Avie Z — Google review
If not for the soy sauce and chili sauce, their dumplings wouldn’t have any flavor. It was expensive for such dull dim sum.

Hong Kong style fast food restaurant
Wai Ying Fast Food is a must-visit spot in Binondo, offering authentic and affordable Chinese dishes. The restaurant provides a wide array of delicious food offerings at budget-friendly prices. It's perfect for those seeking cheap, tasty Chinese cuisine with generous servings. Wai Ying is known for its delectable steamed dumplings (siomai) filled with real shrimps and pork, served with their exclusive chili paste.
This has always been one of my O.G. go to spots back in the day when I was still living in Binondo. Every time I come back, it always brings that same nostalgic feeling. Yun parking dito Chinatown is still as challenging as ever, but once you sit down and get a taste of their food, you’ll know it’s worth all the hassle. I remember those days walking around Bee Tin and Shin Ton Yon to grab some Chinese goodies on my way here, that whole routine was part of the experience. Yun mga all time favorites used to be their asado rice toppings and beef noodles both comforting and flavourful in that classic Wai Ying way. Pero this time, I decided to go for dim sum instead. I ordered hakaw, chicken feet, Thai pao, spareribs, and radish cake. Everything still hits the spot! Each dish tasted freshly made, well seasoned, and authentic. Even after all these years, Wai Ying continues to deliver that same level of quality and taste that made it a Binondo staple. Sulit talaga, the food, the nostalgia, and the overall Chinatown vibe never disappoint. Highly recommended for anyone craving true chinese comfort food in Manila.
Andrew C — Google review
The food was just typical, Siomai taste like it was made a week ago and didn’t taste good. Japanese Siomai was made fresh though. We liked the deep fried wanton as endorsed in Tiktok so it’s a must try. My friend did not like the Hakaw too as it taste like flour. The place needs improvement in lighting and cleanliness. If you wipe the tables with tissue, you will see the dirt even if they already wiped it with their cleaning cloth. Staffs are nice though and happy to assist. Expect that you will need to queue in order to be seated for around 20 mins specially on peak hours.
Emeterio ( — Google review
We loved the siomai. It is packed and value for money. The Beef & Wanton Soup is just okay. The Asado/White Chicken Rice is also okay if the chicken parts are different and meatier. I might try the other dishes in the menu to get another feel.
Desiree A — Google review
Every time I am here, I get this glorious gem known as fish fillet rice. Unfortunately, they ran out when I got here this time. Time to try their famous siomai. EDIT: Their fish fillet rice isn’t as good as it used to be. The sauce still tastes good, but the fish tastes like it’s of lower quality.
Hubert Y — Google review
Food at Wai Ying is always great — flavorful, comforting, and consistent every time. Their dim sum, beef mami, and roasted dishes never disappoint, which explains why there’s always a long queue no matter what time you go. However, the staff can be a bit less hospitable at times, and the ambiance isn’t the best — the bright blue walls kind of take away from the cozy feel. Still, if you’re there purely for the food, it’s absolutely worth it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ — amazing food, just not for the ambiance or the service. come for the taste, stay for the dim sum. 🥢✨
March P — Google review
First time here! I ordered the Lemon Chicken, inspired by watching Kowloon Generic Romance these past months — the food in that anime made me crave Chinese dishes so badly. But sadly, I was disappointed with Wai Ying’s Lemon Chicken. It didn’t live up to my expectations at all. On the upside, the Beef Wanton Mami was decent, and I’d recommend their Siomai with shrimp — definitely the highlight of the meal. Overall, I personally find Wai Ying a bit overrated. If you ask me, Ying Ying has always been better in terms of wait time, service, food selection, and taste.
Haniel C — Google review
we tried to google must visit restaurant in Donbini and this restaurant came up. We came at around 6.30 pm and waited for 15 minutes. the noodle type is small, but the soup could be improved. the steam pork was very tender and juicy. the siomay was good but not that special the duck mami is average because the duck is tough.
Grace O — Google review
Very bad experience. Food was cold! Food should be serve automatically hot. Service was almost fair, prices for the food was expensive so the sevice for us should be. But it was not.. If you are planning for a date at binondo and you are from a province, things should be planned and do not expect to receive the same experince from the others reviewing it with 5 stars. I do hope that you guys would not experience the service we had.

If you're on the hunt for authentic Taiwanese cuisine without breaking the bank, look no further than Shi Lin Binondo. This delightful eatery is renowned for its handmade dumplings, buns, and noodles crafted fresh daily. Their Xiao Long Bao stands out as a must-try; these little soup dumplings are deceptively small yet bursting with rich flavors that dance on your palate. The chewy wrappers encase a luscious filling that makes every bite an experience to savor.
My husband and I loved the authentic flavors and the cozy ambiance. The dishes were beautifully presented, and every bite was a burst of flavor—especially the dumplings, which were perfectly steamed and full of delicious fillings. The staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. We can’t wait to return and try more of their specialties. Highly recommended for a great dining experience!

Very satisfied, foods are great. The best hakaw i tried,, the shrimp is so juicy and tender. We ordered xiao long bao, and shrimp dumpling also. Been craving the hakaw now but its far from where i live.

“Hindi na masarap”  commented one of my friends. When I invited my friends over to Binondo, they eagerly drove all the way from Acacia, Taguig because they knew that Shi Lin was a good place to eat and celebrate. It was a mixed celebration of belated wedding, advanced birthday and despedida BUT it wasn’t the memory we wanted to have. We came on a weekday past 1:00PM but there were still several diners coming. Poor service 1. I can’t remember anyone greeting the guests “good afternoon, welcome to Shi Lin” or isn’t this standard in this branch? 2. Service crews were unsmiling. I even gently told one server : “Kuya, smile naman” but he still didn’t smile. 3. We had to repeatedly ask for table napkins til my friend just got up and went to get for us. 4. The manager was busy with reports. I get it it’s the end of the month report time but couldn’t she wait an hour or 2 longer to help out with the branch? Food wasn’t as good 1. Steamed fish with soy was quite salty. 2. The bun of the pork, sausage bun was too thick. 3. Some dumplings had a thicker “wrap” while others were just right or was it intentioned this way depending on the filling inside? I felt I was chewing more of the steamed dough that the dumpling itself. 4. Not all dishes had serving spoons. REDEEMING POINTS: All food was served hot and almost simultaneously. No long wait or long intervals. The Dimsum Tower was worth the price P799+taxes=P870.00. There were 4 varieties with 6 pieces each: xiao long bao, mushroom & veggies dumplings, shrimp & pork dumplings, shrimp & pork bao. It makes a good presentation. Too bad the server couldn’t smile ATMOSPHERE : Aircon wasn’t working properly. It was warm despite the 2 cooling fans I just dined in their Circuit Ayala branch last month and service was superb on a Saturday evening with the restaurant filled with diners.

I really liked the bok choy — it had a light, comforting flavor, which I personally enjoyed. It’s milder compared to the usual Chinese/Taiwanese dishes, so my family didn’t like it as much as I did. The portions were smaller than expected based on the menu photos, but the staff were very kind and accommodating, even though we arrived about 30 minutes before closing.

Pros: Their xialongbao is delicious and affordable. Service is also good. Cons: Other food available is quite bland to my taste. Needs adjustments from condiments. Lighting in the area is a bit dim also.

Better than Din Tai Fung megamall. More soup and filling. The dough was better taste and texture. Weak AC at time of eating. Worth going to.

The Manila location holds special significance as the first branch outside China. The staff are friendly and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Food was filling, and the ambiance is very cool. Any of the roasted dishes is recommended. Lastly, we were attended to by Sir Cesar and the entire staff with utmost care.

We enjoyed our lunch here today because of the delicious food, but our experience was made even more special with the excellent service by Zyra. She really was a cut above the rest when it comes to service. I also wanr to thank Lugang for making my dad’s bday special by giving a complimentary dessert. We’re so happy we chose Lugang to have my dad’a birthday lunch.

Lugang Café Unlimited Feast Review Tried Lugang Café’s unlimited promo for only ₱688 plus tax, and it was absolutely worth every peso! Every dish that came out of the kitchen was scrumptious, from the classic dim sum to the flavorful mains — each plate was bursting with authentic Taiwanese flavors and perfectly seasoned goodness. As a first-timer, I finally understand what the hype is all about — and yes, it’s 100% real. Even if we are seated at the far end of the restaurant, the service was attentive, the ambiance elegant, and the quality of food felt like something you’d expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. If you’re craving a top-tier dining experience without breaking the bank, Lugang Café’s unlimited promo is a must-try. Definitely coming back for round two! 🥢✨

What we love about this experience is how attentive the servers are. Crystal and Darell are very accommodating and they were able to attend our needs. Food prices are on mid-range. Food taste is much better than Shi Lin but not as great as Din Tai Fung (especially the Xiao Long Bao). Overall, it was a great experience.

Nestled in the bustling area of Tondo, Manila, Causeway Seafood Restaurant stands out as a beloved destination for seafood lovers and fans of traditional Chinese cuisine. This popular eatery has gained such a loyal following that it even expanded with an additional location across the street to accommodate its eager patrons.
During my recent visit to the Philippines, my family took me to the Causeway Seafood Restaurant in Quezon City, and it turned out to be a delightful culinary experience. This Chinese restaurant is renowned for its extensive and delectable dim sum selection, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. We were a large group of over 20 people, yet the restaurant staff managed to accommodate us seamlessly. The service was impressively fast; our food arrived so quickly that I barely had time to snap photos before diving in. It's a testament to their efficiency and dedication to providing an excellent dining experience. We ordered an array of dishes, each one more delicious than the last. The dim sum options were plentiful and mouth-watering, with everything from siomai to hakaw being served fresh and hot. Additionally, we indulged in buchi and almond jello lychee for dessert, which were perfect endings to our feast. The buchi had the perfect balance of sweetness and crunch, while the almond jello with lychee was light and refreshing. The ambiance of the restaurant was lively and welcoming, making it a great spot for family gatherings. Despite the busy environment, the staff remained attentive and courteous, ensuring our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. If you find yourself in Quezon City and are craving authentic Chinese cuisine, I highly recommend visiting Causeway Seafood Restaurant. Whether you're there for a quick bite or a large family gathering, you won't be disappointed by the food or the service.
Jereth T — Google review
Our family’s Easter celebration wrapped up with a late lunch at Causeway, a traditional Chinese restaurant known for serving some of the best dim sum in the metro. The classic bean curd roll didn’t disappoint—though noticeably smaller than I remember from years ago. I went for my usual favorites: hakao and siomai. We also ordered Yang Chow fried rice, chop suey, and chicken in lemon sauce. Of course, hot tea was served as part of the experience. If you’re craving traditional dim sum, this place hits the spot. While we only ordered a few dishes, none particularly stood out beyond the usual favorites—they were good, just nothing extraordinary. Still, with so many Chinese dining options around, Causeway remains one of my top picks—especially over spots like North Park, David’s Tea House, or Hap Chan.
Ruel T — Google review
Ordered the siu mai, chicken feet, shrimp rice rolls, and salt pepper spare ribs. The service was pretty great. Not even a minute since I placed my order, a cart came by to deliver us a steaming plate of siu mai and chicken feet. The siu mai was alright, not my favourite. It was pretty dense and dry, instead of plump and juicy. The chicken feet was good, the order came with 5 small feet, which is a good value. The shrimp rice rolls were decent. My only complaint is that the rice sheet was pretty thick, and the ratio of rice to shrimp felt a bit off. The highlight of the meal was the salt pepper spare ribs, which was one of the best I've had in Manila. Overall, I would return for the salt pepper spare ribs, and while the dim sum dishes weren't mind-blowing, it is priced fairly.
Eric L — Google review
Used to eat in their Libis branch often when it was still open. The salted fish fried rice was still good. The wrapper of the hakaw was too thick, but the shrimp itself was good. The inside of the beancurd roll was too thick and hard. The wrapper of the sesame prawn roll was too hard. Parking is available outside the restaurant.
John V — Google review
The ambience at Causeway in Timog is just average, but the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. The dining area lacks neatness, and the overall atmosphere feels disorganized. Staff members are scattered everywhere, some handling utensils right next to dining tables, which is off-putting. Additionally, they are not wearing proper uniforms, making the place look unprofessional. The loud chatting of the staff further disrupts the dining experience. On the positive side, the food is good, which somewhat makes up for the lackluster service and environment. However, the restaurant could greatly benefit from better cleanliness, more disciplined staff, and improved overall management.
Yenna S — Google review
My friend celebrated his birthday here. I really like their dimsum! Plus, you can even bring your own drinks. You can still park there even after they’ve closed. So after eating, you can hang out around Timog and just leave your car. Highly recommended 👍

We have been coming here since 2018 and I can’t believe I haven’t done a survey for this awesome restaurant. I must say, from the food to the service it’s excellent. From the minute you walk in staff are greeting you and walking you to your seat. A fresh hot tea is serve immediately. Food are serve as they become available so sometimes I would wait before devouring the protein before the fried rice or noddle dish comes out. All the dishes taste excellent and so is the price. We come here on a regular basis and I highly recommend this place for your Chinese food cravings.

Nestled in the vibrant Banawe and San Juan areas, Le Ching Tea House is a beloved Cantonese dim sum destination that locals rave about. This charming eatery offers an array of affordable Chinese delights, including enticing dim sum baskets, siopao, noodles, congee, and rice dishes. Among its standout offerings are the mouthwatering spareribs rice, savory chicken & mushroom rice, and hearty beef brisket noodles—each dish a must-try for any visitor.

First time visiting the place and it was definitely worth it. Unplanned stopover for us, wife remembers last visiting this place in the ‘90s. Really good place for noodles and dumplings. Highly recommended.

₱320 for a small bowl of noodles, not good value. The place is like a sauna. They don’t turn the ac, it’s all fans in an enclosed glass space so it was hot and sweaty. Food is still good, comforting. Staff was pleasant. Old school. The place is a bit old and rundown already and desperately needs a renovation. Although if they do that, the prices might double

Le Ching Tea House in Banawe, Quezon City is a solid spot for Chinese comfort food. The dim sum is fresh, and the noodles hit the spot. Service is quick, and the place is clean. Prices are reasonable. Would come back for a casual meal.

Always love the food here. Spareribs rice, beef brisket rice, cheongfan are a few of my favorites. Friendlier wait staff. Updated: 1.28.2015 Ordered my fave spare ribs rice, still very good as usual. Rice toppings and various noodle soup though are now worth 320 pesos, at least a 15% increase from 9 months ago.

Whenever there's a chance or a parking space available, we never fail to eat at Le Ching, Banawe. We were still dating 27yrs ago when I first tried it here and I liked their beef brisket rice and dimsum. And they still taste the same now. Although the place is in need of renovation and maintainance- a minor facelift to attract new customers.

Food and service by the kuya's and ate's are out of this world. If your drooling for spearibs (taosi) dimsum style. Then this is the place to be. You wont regret and will surely be drooling for more. Dont forget to ask for thie chilli sauce for that perfect combo meal. Hope they will renovate this store soon, the food and staff and something to look forward to. Could give 10Stars for their food if review permits it.

I have eaten in Le Ching since I was a little kid, and this is a go-to Chinese restaurant for me and my family. The Beef Brisket Rice never fails and is always fresh, hot and delicious. Their Taosi Chicken Feet (tausi sauce) is also amazing and has the right amount of spice. The free soup tastes great as a side to your rice meal.

The Dimsum Place is a laid-back Chinese eatery that offers an extensive selection of dim sum items, including chicken feet, pan-fried beef cake, pork and shrimp siomai, and TDP asado siopao. The menu might seem overwhelming at first, but every item is worth trying. The flavors are authentic and not reliant on MSG, offering a genuine Cantonese dim sum experience. Despite being reasonably priced, the portions are generous and the ambiance is inviting.
We tried their Hot and Sour soup (sweet), pork and shrimp siomai, raddish cake, chicken feet and Xiao Long Bao (uniquely chewy). All were freshly prepared and satisfied our Dimsum cravings. They have that oriental vibe for a nice dinning experience.
Christopher B — Google review
I am a frequent customer of this place, and while they score a 4/5 for me, the food, ambience, cleanliness, and service are all very good. The price of their Dimsum is fairly reasonable, and serving portions are also fair so you get your money's worth here.
TIMOTHY S — Google review
Well, the taste is okay and I like it for their dim sum. However, the price is a bit high. The ambiance is okay, but a bit old fashioned. Not sure, because of the maintenance or it’s an old restaurant.
Ding M — Google review
I heard that their xiaolongbaos are one of the best so we had to order it. We went for the assorted one. IDK but they tasted average to me as I tasted better from the other restaurants. I really didn't like some of the flavors TBH :( What I loved though was their fried mantho, seaweed salad and yangchow. I saw the fried chicken from the other table 😋 so we had to try it too which was okay for me. The staff were not that attentive though. They were chatting with each other at the counter (?) and not paying attention to the customers' needs, we had to call them repeatedly. 😐 Great ambiance though! Seats were comfortable and the place was spacious. Maybe we will come back again to try their other dishes!

Lots of choice to choose from. From dimsum, congee, rice toppings to short orders they have it, for the taste i think it lacks a little bit of flavor, i liked their crispy radish cake, service was fast, staff is friendly. Price ₱₱₱
Archie C — Google review
Visited this place again, on an afternoon. And there were only 2 servers. Some of the servers were on a break. So, as expected, the service really suffered. I have to go near the counter several times to call their attention. This should not be the case. I understand their predicament, but they also should have a contingency in such a case. Now, to the food. Their vegetable soup tastes bland. Although the serving size is ok, i didn't go much for it. Crispy radish cake is ok, which should go with hot sauce. Their beancurd dimsum is just ok also. Well, i guess most of the dishes are just ok. Maybe because there is less MSG. Their food is not perky. But not tasty, either. So, if you're into dimsum. You can give it a try. Maybe it will be a different experience.
Hamil S — Google review
This is how I remember my first Cantonese Dimsum from a real Cantonese chef. Flavors burst lightly from it's own ingredients. Not from msg. Only when you deep in soy sauce or sweet sauces will you taste the local savory Dimsum style in regular Dimsum resto. Servings are big. Prices reasonable. Ambience is welcoming. Didn't get the bad service other reviewers mentioned. Must have improved.
Inprint C — Google review
Unplanned dinner with a friend featuring the following: 1. Sliced pork with century egg congee; 2. Salted & spicy tofu; and 3. Shrimp rice roll. The breakdown: Food: It was good. Not mind-melting or earth-shattering but alright. Serving size was respectable. Just a wee bit pricy, in my opinion. Ambiance: Nice. Well lit and it doesn't feel cramped despite the number of tables. Service crew: The male waiters were attentive and polite. The lady from the cashier needs a crash course in customer relations. She didn't hand us the bill. She, without a word or acknowledgement, just left the bill on the table, turned and left. When the change came, it was the same thing. No thanks, nothing. Funny though, she treated the older folks at the table next to us differently. 😑 In conclusion: food is okay. Service, big fat no.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Din Tai Fung Greenbelt! The food, as always, was delicious and served fresh — but what really made our visit extra special was the exceptional service we received. A big shoutout to Ms. Jhenna, Lloyd, and Rose for being so patient, attentive, and responsible throughout our time there. They made sure we were comfortable, answered all our questions with a smile, and handled everything so professionally despite how busy it was. You can really see their dedication to great service. If you’re looking for Xiao Long Bao, this is the place! Texture, broth, taste—solid 5 stars. Even the Chocolate Xiao Long Bao is a must-try. The Salt and Pepper Squid is delicious—crispy, flavorful, and a definitely one of our favorites. I could easily finish the Pork Chop with Fried Rice on my own. The pork is tender and perfectly seasoned—not overly salty, but definitely not bland like what you’d get in some Chinese restaurants. The fried rice is another highlight—tasty and not greasy, which makes it stand out. The Salted Egg Shrimp is also worth ordering. Fresh, and cooked just right. Service is quick, the staff are friendly, and they even offer appetizers so you can munch on something while waiting. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to again and again!

A big thank you to Mr. Lloyd, Jhenna, and Rose — your warm smiles and welcoming attitude truly made us feel at home. You were so attentive and kind throughout our meal. Even after we left the restaurant, we came back to order takeout for our midnight mukbang, and you still welcomed us with the same cheerful energy and excellent service! Your approachability and professionalism didn’t go unnoticed. You all are doing an amazing job — keep it up and fighting! 💪✨ Highly recommend this branch for anyone craving not just great food, but also a truly pleasant and friendly dining experience. Not the best quality. I ordered xiao long bao, dry minced pork noodles, and green beans. The bao was not very flavorful and didn’t have enough meat. Pork noodles were tasty. Green beans were not good- it’s not snappy crispy like it should be. Overall, quality was very low and unlike Taiwan standards. Prices are def cheaper here compared to other countries. But you can also see it reflect in the quality of ingredients and taste.

✨ Din Tai Fung Manila – Where Precision Meets Indulgence Having savored Din Tai Fung in Singapore and KL, I had high expectations coming into the Manila branch—and it delivered effortlessly. The atmosphere buzzed with energy, the team executed service flawlessly, and yes, the restaurant was packed to the brim. Still, everything moved with clockwork efficiency. 🌟 Must-Try Dishes The foie gras dumplings were an unexpected luxury—rich, velvety, and deeply satisfying. And don’t skip the boneless spare ribs—a triumph in both flavor and convenience. Each bite was tender, perfectly seasoned, and paired beautifully with their signature rice dishes. 💁 Service & Atmosphere The staff deserves applause. Despite a full house, they remained attentive, friendly, and impressively quick. Watching the open kitchen in action was part of the show—a well-oiled machine producing magic one dumpling at a time. 💸 Value It’s not the cheapest meal in town, but it’s a culinary feast that’s worth the splurge—especially for those who appreciate detail, consistency, and balance. ✔️ Verdict Whether you’re a xiao long bao fanatic or just chasing the perfect bite, Din Tai Fung Manila is a must on your culinary checklist.

Nestled in the heart of Banawe, Quezon City, King Chef Dimsum Kitchen has evolved from a humble eatery into one of Manila's premier dim sum destinations. This culinary gem boasts an impressive array of dim sum options, ranging from steamed and fried varieties to unique offerings like chicken feet and radish cakes. Known for its authentic Cantonese cuisine, King Chef is dedicated to providing diners with memorable experiences fit for royalty.
My family's favourite comfy foods and restaurants in Banawe for more than 10 years already. We've even known the current supervisor when he was still a regular waiter back in the days. Their foods are most likely suitable for seniors particularly the congee and their dim sum as they also have promos at half price for all dim sum from 8:30pm onwards. They have renovated this branch and they already have rooms for private functions.

Highly recommend this branch for family lunches and dinners. This is our family’s go to place for Chinese comfort food. We went in for an early dinner during their dimsum half off time slot (2-5PM on weekdays, except holidays). Staffs are super attentive, courteous and kind. We brought a sans rival cake for my mom’s birthday and they kindly kept in their fridge and even gave us utensils for cake slicing. We would come back again for sure. It’s tradition. 🧡 Highly recommend: hot shrimp salad, taro puff and buchi on top of their dimsum selection.

It was incredibly noisy inside when I visited. The food and service was OK overall. The dimsum was at least steamed hot. Fish fillet tofu hotpot is my least favorite. Duck was good. Update 2024-06 There was a time last month when congee wasn't it's best dish, but there was definitely an improvement this month when I visited.

King Chef is a Chinese restaurant that has opened a new branch in the business district of Makati, catering to the cravings of locals for authentic Chinese cuisine. The food is highly recommended, with dishes like abalone with two vegetables standing out. The staff are approachable and attentive, providing excellent service. Customers praise the delicious food and commend the friendly and accommodating staff. The ambiance is great, making for an unforgettable dining experience.
I had an amazing dining experience here. 🥰 Their roasted duck is absolutely outstanding tender, parang sa Hk lasa, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The siomai is the best I’ve ever had juicy, tasty, and always served hot. The dynamite is a must-try, with just the right amount of spice and crunch. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor. A Mixed Bag at King Chef's New Makati Branch King Chef has always been a go-to spot for many, so I was excited to check out their new branch in Makati. While it's a smaller space compared to their Lucky Chinatown location, it has a cozy and welcoming vibe. The ambiance is one of its strong suits; it looks good and has some nice personal touches that make the dining experience more intimate. For our meal, we started with the Seafood Congee. It was decent, but it lacked a certain "wow" factor. A major letdown was the inclusion of imitation crab sticks, which felt out of place and detracted from the dish's potential. The chicken feet, a specialty, were seasoned well and hit the spot. Next, we tried the Seafood Bundle. Unfortunately, it had a similar issue as the congee—the fake crab sticks were back. Worse, the squid was tough and chewy. It felt old, and I imagine anyone, especially seniors, would have a difficult time eating it. The highlight of the meal was definitely the dessert: a beautiful heart-shaped mango jelly. I loved the presentation; it was a sweet, thoughtful touch that symbolized the love I share with my family. Overall, my experience at King Chef's new Makati branch was just okay. The ambiance and dessert were lovely, but the food itself was a bit inconsistent. If you're looking for a good deal, keep an eye out for their promotions during off-hours, usually from 2 PM to 5 PM and near closing time.

As someone who grew up in Canada, I've had a lot of underwhelming dim sum in the Philippines. The cheaper spots really don't put much care into the food; things aren't cooked to order, siu mai made with disgusting filler, chalky skin on the dumplings, etc. King Chef easily serves the best dim sum in Manila. Everything was served hot and steaming, you can tell it's all made to order. We ordered 7 dishes, all of them were really good. Hakaw skin had a nice chew to it. Chicken feet were cooked just right, and not falling apart. My favourite was the Sichuan crispy noodle prawn dumplings, which had a slight mala flavour. We had our meal during Happy Hour, and the meal came to 1000p for 2 people. Sulit! Glad I found a place that is passionate about what they serve, would definitely return.

Paradise Dynasty at Greenbelt 5 is a culinary gem that brings the rich flavors of northern and southern China to life, all the way from Singapore. This restaurant is famous for its innovative eight-flavored Specialty Dynasty Xiao Long Bao, which features unique tastes like cheese, garlic, ginseng, Szechuan spice, foie gras, and black truffle—truly a world-first experience!
The staffs were all friendly, the restaurant was kept icy cold but considering lots of other restaurants being too hot in Philippines, I was happy with this chilly air conditioned environment. The food was excellent. You’ll get complimentary hot tea when you seated. I wish they had a better selection with alcohols. I didn’t see any wines on the menu. Their restroom was very clean but I still don’t understand why even modern new establishment like this place in Philippines can’t equipped with toilet papers in the restroom. But even with that, I give 5 stars.
Gray — Google review
I recently dined at Paradise Dynasty Greenbelt 5 and had an exceptional experience. The standout dishes for me were the Xiao Long Bao, which was perfectly steamed and bursting with flavorful broth, and the La Mien with Braised Pork Belly in Signature Bone Soup, which was rich and savory. The Steamed Vegetable Dumpling was superb and filled with fresh kuchay. Other dishes, like the Kung Pao Chicken, were good but could have been more generous in its serving. The Yang Chou Fried Rice was flavorful but slightly dry. The ambiance was fantastic - the restaurant was clean, cozy, and had a warm atmosphere. They also offer small function rooms for private gatherings, which is a great bonus. Overall, I'd highly recommend Paradise Dynasty Greenbelt 5 for its delicious food and welcoming environment.

Paradise Dynasty in Greenbelt 5 serves consistently delicious Chinese food in a clean, modern space. We had shrimp fried rice, dumplings, Kung Pao chicken, cashew shrimp, and more—all flavorful and well-cooked. The stir-fried greens were fresh, and the sweet and sour pork had the perfect crisp and tang. Service was quick, and for everything we ordered, the bill was very reasonable. A great spot for group meals in Makati!

The food here is truly outstanding! every dish we had was full of flavor and cooked to perfection, good service , the staff were amazing, the ambiance is so cozy and welcoming, we had a great meal and even better experience, would love recommend this to our friends and family.

I'm rating an average of 3 stars overall. Food was terrible (1 star) while service was good. I ordered the Dynasty fried chicken, thinking this was a special marinated fried chicken. It was really disappointing. The fried chicken at Jollibee and Popeyes is much better, and a lot cheaper.... how could they even put this on their menu?
Ernest L — Google review
I like the ambience here and the food options were good. The dishes we got were delicious. Service could be improved though as wait staff were not as attentive.
MrsWayfarer — Google review
Decent food with above average pricing. However upset at the “Watermelon Shake” as it was watery. Complained to higher level staff, was explained that it was “this way”. I don’t believe that as I’ve tried multiple Watermelon Shakes from elsewhere. This is watermelon juice and paid too much for it.

At Red Lantern in Solaire Resort North, culinary artistry reaches new heights under the guidance of renowned chef Alvin Leung, celebrated for his Michelin-starred establishments. Known for his daring approach to Chinese cuisine and innovative fusion dishes, Leung captivates diners with his unique flavor combinations and molecular gastronomy techniques. Complementing this extraordinary dining experience is master sommelier Elyse Lambert, who curates an exquisite wine selection that enhances each dish.
We had their dim sum all you can for our lunch. They actually have 2 seating times but we were late for the first one at 11 and too early for the second one at 1:30. But they were very accommodating and was still able to seat us at 12:30pm. The waiter instinctively already recommended that he would order the best sellers for us to be able to try everything and reorder whatever we liked. We really liked the pork belly with fresh cucumber, meat dumpling with scallop stock, Hakaw, bacon wrapped shrimp and other delicious entrees. It’s really too many to mention. The desserts were also a good selection and you can just order again which ever you liked. Service was good, as you can really feel the waiters are taking care of you. There was even a show where there was some traditional dancing.
Bianca T — Google review
Our first visit to Red Lantern Solaire North was a pleasant surprise. Though the branch is smaller, the service remained consistent and warm—just as we’ve always known it. The food was exceptional as ever, with the beef served in a box so tender it almost melted in the mouth. The hot prawn salad and mango roll were standouts, while the kataifi—a dessert that Red Lantern has uniquely served for nearly a decade—remains unmatched. It was a wonderful family meal, reaffirming why Red Lantern will always be our go-to place for celebrations and special moments. PS. They also had a Chinese ceremonial tea and a 1000 mask dance which added to the experience.

Celebrating my birthday at Red Lantern, Solaire Resort North was the best decision ever! The food was top-notch. Everything we ordered showcased the finest Chinese cuisine. Our servers Paolo and Ryan were so helpful and attentive. The special performance of Kung Fu Tea Master Harry was a delightful sight to see! They also gave me a birthday cake and traditional Chinese birthday buns, which I appreciate so much! Thank you for making my birthday celebration so memorable! Kudos to Gilbert and the whole Red Lantern team.

As someone who has never been particularly drawn to Chinese cuisine, my recent dining experience at Red Lantern has reshaped my perspective on Chinese food. It has set a new standard of excellence that I doubt will ever be surpassed. Red Lantern at Solaire Vertis North has not only converted me into a devotee of Chinese cuisine but has also set a benchmark of excellence that will be hard to match. Undoubtedly, Red Lantern will forever hold a special place in my gastronomic journey as the epitome of Chinese culinary perfection. Thanks to James, Ryan, especially Michael for making us comfortable and our experience memorable.

Tried this place today hoping it would match the quality of the Manila branch or at least rival Phoenix Court but walked away pretty disappointed. I don’t really write bad reviews but unfortunately, this restaurant has been a flop on my eyes. The food was decent, but the portions were really tiny. What really ruined the experience was the service: incredibly slow and disorganized. Who serves rice after dessert? And why does it take 15 minutes and two follow-ups just to get a can of Coke? If you’re after a truly authentic experience, Phoenix Court at Bellevue still takes the crown. I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1 only because the food wasn’t bad. But at ₱1,500+ per head, it’s absolutely not worth it. Until they sort out their service, it has no business being on Tatler’s Best Restaurants list.
Nicky T — Google review
We ate at the Paranaque branch before and enjoyed it, so we decided to dine at the QC branch as well. Service was incredibly slow. Picture below is what our table looked like after more than 20 minutes of waiting -- two small dishes for a table of 8. We had to follow up multiple times to get our dishes. We kept being told that "matagal po talaga lutuin *insert dish*" but with the timeframe for the dimsum lunch being only 1 hour and 30 minutes, speedier service should be given. Unlike the Red Lantern in Paranaque which is situated away from the casinos, the one in QC is right outside the casino. We were sat near the entrance so we could smell the cigarettes. If you are planning to bring children, consider the Paranaque branch instead. Food is good which is really the only redeeming factor here. Overall, very mediocre. Wish we dined at the Paranaque branch instead.
Mary A — Google review
A smaller version of the Red Lantern with emphasis on smaller more private dining group. Not suited for large groups or families unlike the other branch in MOA. The private room has tables for 8 and 10 only. Price points is more on the high side. Reservation and Advance Order seems to circumvent all the hassles and issues. Foreign management group seems to be out of touch with the dining culture of the locals and seems to be interested only in catering to their version for the international crowd. Hence the initial horribe reviews mostly on the long wait for the food to be served and issue with table reservations. Read the reviews in advanced and was guided accordingly.

From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service—but what truly made our dining experience unforgettable was Sir Angel. His charisma, professionalism, and genuine hospitality set the tone for the entire evening. He didn’t just serve—he connected. Nestled in the vibrant heart of Makati, Jasmine Restaurant stands out as a premier destination for those craving authentic Chinese cuisine. The restaurant boasts a casual yet elegant atmosphere, adorned with traditional decor and comfortable round tables draped in red upholstery. Specializing in Cantonese dishes, their menu features delightful options such as hot prawn chicken salad and deep-fried scallops with pumpkin sauce.
The dim sum at Jasmine New World Makati is simply exceptional—perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The prices are very reasonable, and the service is outstanding. The staff are warm, professional, and welcoming. A special mention goes to Romar, who took great care of us with top-notch service. While we primarily enjoyed the dim sum, the other dishes we tried were also fantastic. The restaurant itself is elegant, clean, and beautifully maintained, with excellent acoustics that make for a pleasant and comfortable dining atmosphere. A must-visit for lovers of Chinese cuisine, especially dim sum! We had lunch because we had to go to the airport in the evening.

Just had an amazing dining experience at Jasmine Restaurant, and I have to say this place deserves all the love! The food was absolutely delicious, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and served fresh. Every bite felt comforting, like home-cooked goodness with a touch of class. I highly recommend the soft shell crab, masarap! The staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to assist with everything we needed. Special shoutout to Mico, who was super accommodating and maasikaso from start to finish he made the whole experience extra pleasant. And let’s talk about the atmosphere cozy, family-friendly, and perfect for hearty dinners or casual celebrations. You really feel the warmth of Filipino hospitality here.

Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Jasmine has been one of my families favorite go to restaurants. It’s a great place to go with a group and order a bunch of food to share. Here are my top three menu recommendations: the barbecue pork puff pastry, the sweet and sour pork, and of course their pecking duck is an absolute must! I always like to get mine done two ways which means they give half of it to you in the original style with the thin pancakes and the other half chopped up with potatoes and in a lettuce wrap. Their dessert is also pretty good, I love the Chinese egg tart!

Looking for delicious dim sum in Manila? This is the place to go! It’s a bit upscale, but definitely worth a visit — I’ve already been three times in just six months! Many people enjoy the all-you-can-eat lunch option, but I personally recommend ordering à la carte for a wider selection. Just a heads-up: the almond tofu and sesame balls are only available on the buffet menu. I love their dim sum, but my absolute favorite is the Mango Sago. Don’t miss it!

Put simply, New World Hotel's Jasmine restaurant is one of the best places to go to for group meals. With an attentive staff, quick service, a relaxing atmosphere, and a delectable all-you-can-eat dimsum menu for the weekends, eating here is well worth the price. As a bonus, Jasmine also offers dietary restriction options and a senior's discount, even for their all-you-can-eat menu. If you're looking for somewhere to eat well and celebrate big, Jasmine is the perfect restaurant for you.

The atmosphere is lively and the staff are always so pleasant. The food is good too not too expensive for a hotel restaurant. I like the soft shell crab tempura and also the shimeji mushroom noodles. Also, their crispy pork belly is always on point and their sweet and sour pork has a crunch! Always on the look out for their 50off promo!
Marga N — Google review
The service was excellent—very attentive and it’s clear the staff are well trained. The atmosphere is also great; you can really feel the charm of a restaurant that has been around for many years. The food was delicious, especially the dim sum and the Peking duck, which were both standout dishes. This time, I didn’t enjoy the Kung Pao chicken as much—I found it a bit too sweet for my taste. One pleasant surprise: our waiter informed us about a 50% off promo on all à la carte items, which made the experience an even better deal. Definitely worth visiting!
Jose A — Google review
The food was really good. Their xiao long bao is better than DTF’s. It has better broth and bigger filling. Siomai, beancurd roll, and hakaw (har gao? in their menu) were also great. I love their salted egg fried rice with XO sauce. You can really taste the salted egg minus the fishy taste. We also got their crab with corn soup, crispy egg noodles, and yang chow fried rice. Everything tasted good. As for the meat, we ordered crispy pork belly and roasted honey barbecue pork which was very tasty and tender.

The set meal is highly recommended! It says it is good for 12 persons but it seems like it can be for more than that. Really good Chinese food and a must try in Binondo. 5/5 highly recommended!

Good food. But their kitchen really needs help. They should find a way to serve orders faster. It took them more than 30mins to serve our food. We had to cancel 1 of the dishes we ordered as it took forever to arrive. Their fried rice cannot stand alone (lacks wok hei), you need to order other dishes. Sweet and sour pork was ok. Fried chicken needs a better sauce. But the place is still highly recommended if you’re in the area. Will definitely visit then again.

I came into this old fashion Chinese restaurant that for sure saw better times in the past to savour original Chinese food. I wasn’t deceived. Other Chinese were there meaning that the place is good. Fried noodles with sea food and lumpia were my choice, fried frogs’ legs and bird nest soup with quails’ eggs my friend’s choice.
Bar D — Google review
Ordered squid with salt and pepper but got the ribs instead. They were willing to change it but not worth the trouble or the extra waiting time. I really didn't mind. Beef in oyster sauce was so-so. Waiters were courteous and quick on their feet, but what really bugged me were the flies (yes, plural) which probably came from the outside streets. Chinatown is a curio for tourists. As a local visitor, with all that money going around this place, couldn't they improve the streets? I'm sure the dragon nesting here wouldn't mind the extra upkeep. Honestly, it's for better Feng Shui.

Went there for dinner. We walked in past 9pm. The atmosphere was a bit quiet and gloomy, lights were not very inviting, the vibe was oldish, interiors were typical old chinese restaurant with red and gold everywhere. Since it was quite late already, we decided to eat there. It was everyone's first time in this particular resto. We ordered just a few items on the menu. Service was commendable. Food was not bad at all. Though a better ambiance could have made it even more palatable.

Excellent and the best ever chinese cuisines in the philippines. Me and my family has been eating here since i was little. And it’s been serving great food since then until today. I still enjoy their menu. They have great staff as well… the food is served fast. The only issue is their ambiance. Although its ok… it has been the same design when i was small. Not much improvements. Including its cleanliness. Some find it nostalgic, but i find it has much potential.

We dine here everytime we visit Manila - mainly for the food, and since its in the nearest mall to our usual accommodations in Ermita. There is no doubt, Tim Ho Wan's Michelin stars live up to the expectations. Food quality and taste has always been great. Place is not as spacious and since we usually go here during dinner time, the place can be crowded, and waiting time is expected. Staff are always attentive, but just had an experience that they're rushing to bus our table and we have not yet finished eating.

I especially loved the dumplings in a spicy sauce but the rest were average. Was disappointed with the serving sizes. It was really small for its price. Customer service is nice but the delivery of service is slow. Orders will be usually 15-20 minutes. Nice experience but not coming back to try more.

Not the Tim Ho Wan I used to know. Ordered Yang Chow with Pork Chop and Tofu with Pork Floss for lunch. The pork chop slice was significantly smaller and the rice looked like half a cup when it arrived. Good thing the pork chop cut was still thick and the breading was just light. The tofu was crispy outside and fluffy inside but again the portion was disappointing. Also the pork floss topping looked nothing like the one in the picture. I don't see myself coming back here anytime soon.

Dumpling restaurant
Restaurant
Tasty Dumplings is a popular spot in Binondo, Manila known for its crispy Pork Chop Rice and other delectable dishes like Hongma and Silver Roll Bread. Despite a power outage during one visit, the kitchen staff continued to cook, impressing diners with their dedication. The restaurant holds nostalgic value for many Chinese-Filipinos and is considered one of the top 5 iconic places representing Binondo cuisine.
Dined in on a Tuesday after lunch crowd and some tables are occupied but we were able to seat as soon as we arrived. The porkchop rice and chicken leg rice is very worth it as the service size is huge! One order can even make 2 persons full. It is also tasty and has a good flavor. They also offer free soup for all dining customers although it tastes bland. We tried the dumplings and it’s a good appetizer — so it lives by it’s name ☺️ Will eat here again :)
Cesca E — Google review
Tasty Dumplings is a Taiwanese diner-like restaurant located on a quiet street near the bustling chaos of Chinatown, and when we arrived, we initially assumed that the place may be deserted, as we didn't notice any other people roaming around the area. Putting our doubts aside, we walked towards the restaurant and were surprised to see that there were indeed customers, though only a small amount. Once we entered, we were instantly greeted by a staff member, and she provided us with a menu that had a vast selection of dishes that we could choose from. 🥟 My mother and I ordered dishes that we would eat on our own, and then we also ordered a set of dumplings that we would share together, as well as some iced tea to freshen up since the scorching heat was unbearable. While waiting for our orders, I decided to observe our surroundings, and while it may not be necessarily aesthetic to take a picture of, it feels comfortable and has a cozy ambience. 💫 It is quite similar to diners in lesser-known towns, and I loved how they have an entire wall dedicated to pictures. The place feels like going to your grandmother's home, and it didn't need to be flashy; the food and the warmth of it all could speak for themselves. When the food arrived, I was greeted by a delightful dish of spare ribs with rice, and my mother started to sip her soup filled with meatballs. I initially took a sip out of the iced tea we ordered, and it wasn't worth it for its price; it tasted similar to the juice packets you would buy at a sari-sari store, and you would be a bit appalled by the fact that this iced tea is around 65 pesos. It's not worth a try, and it's better to try other drinks instead or be content with water. 🥡 Moving on to the spare ribs with rice, it is priced around 215 pesos. I loved how tender and soft it was; it wasn't difficult to chew, and it is a bit sweet, but there's a slight hint of saltiness in the background. It is paired with an array of vegetables that I had the delight of eating, and I'm assuming some of them were strips of cabbage. The rice was perfect, and I liked how there was a small amount of sauce (perhaps a mix with soy sauce?) on top. My only complaint is that it wasn't served hot; it was more on the warmer side, and I believe that the flavor itself could've been better had the temperature been different. My mother didn't comment much on the meatball soup, but based on my observations when she was eating it, I could tell it was delicious. As for the dumplings we shared, they weren't that hot, which affected the taste, just like the spare ribs with rice. However, it is incredibly juicy once you bite into it and the powerful flavors of the meat packs a punch while it is accompanied by some granules of green vegetables. 🍲 The meatballs soup is around 165 pesos and the eight pieces of dumplings are around 155 pesos. We had some complimentary soup, but its flavors are quite subtle so we cannot describe how it would taste other than the fact it tastes similar to vegetable broth. Lastly, it wasn't a spectacular place by any means, but it feels closer to home since you are not entering a place with a lot of pretentious decor, nor are you bombarded with commercialized dishes. Instead, you could eat in peace since there are not a lot of people, and it's a better replacement when you couldn't get a seat in one of the restaurants you wanted to go to because of the line. I certainly had some problems with the dishes I ate, but overall, I had a fun experience. 💖

Not so busy on a Sunday lunch. I went for the Noodles Dumpling Soup and the Braised Pork Ribs. I think the broth of the soup could have been seasoned more. The dumplings were OK, which had the same filling as the siopao. My favourite was the braised pork because of that delicious sauce.

Its a small shop be sure to not go during peak hours, the food was good, i highly recommend their porkchop. very big servings and good taste as well. the vibe is a small homeowned shop, avoid bringing big bags cause of little space. Servers were kind and listened well and was able to serve fast. be prepared to spend 200-300 pesos per meal unless you would be sharing a plate. Dont bother with the drinks (asides from the wintermelon), most of it is canned products though it is refreshing. Free service warer too

This place belongs to my top 3 eateries in Binondo Chinatown area that offers delicious & reasonable rice meals. Their signature dumpling is world class and can compete with Japanese Gyoza. Ate on this place and ordered the porkchop rice meal, dumpling soup and dalandan juice. Serving portioning is more than enough for one person. Lastly this eatery staff are friendly and accommodating. Will definitely come back to this place.

Although you order by checking a menu list, the waiter decided to order a dish that wasn't on the menu without telling us the price. After that, we asked the waiter to take the dish off the table because we hadn't ordered it, but he said he couldn't and brought the bill. When we looked at the bill, we found that the dish was more expensive than any dish on the menu, and we had a heated argument with the waiter. Unable to bear it any longer, another waiter apologized to us and we didn't have to pay. We were right not to eat the dish. The waiter was about 175cm tall and in his 60s. Do not order from this unrefined waiter at this restaurant.

This is one of my family’s go to spot for gatherings and also to eat together the food is okay and I love their serving of their dim sum, I would recommend their chicken feet and their shrimp hakaw it’s one of my favorites and they never disappoint. However sometimes their service is slow and the dim sum is served later on but overall a good experience for me

If you're on the hunt for a delightful seafood dining experience, King Chef Seafood Restaurant Banawe might just be your next stop. With a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of a tea house, it offers an inviting space to enjoy various dishes. While their dimsum may not stand out compared to nearby options, the sweet and sour pork is notably crunchy and flavorful. The beef hofan is delicious but slightly oily, while the fish with taosi sauce impresses many diners.
we came here during happy hour damn the amount of discount was huge! we save a lot and our cravings satisfied. babalik tayo dito, sulit
Bon T — Google review
The atmosphere feels more like a tea house rather than a seafood restaurant, which is not necessarily bad. The egg broke in my congee before I received it. My least favorite dish would be their mango pudding. It tasted like instant gelatin with a hint of mango with watered down evaporated milk. It should be removed from the menu. Everything else is fine.
Ed A — Google review
I rarely give a low rating. But we came here for the discounted dimsum offer. I have been craving for dimsum since the night before and thought of coming over here. First off price is not that cheap even with the discount. But dimsum is not as good as the other restos nearby. The fried duck dumpling sounds good but it tastes too sweet, and a bit weird. We feel that all of our orders tastes better at other restos. I wish they offered more variety as well. The stars were for because they open early. I might come back when and if I have forgotten that I did not enjoy the food as much.

Ordered dimsum, they have a discount card which they offer you, if you are a frequent customers its okay to get one. Different price if you have a card lots of people dining, they also have rice topping here price ₱₱₱

First time here and it did not disappoint. We ordered hot and sour soup, hakaw, chicken feet and wanton soy dumplings. This is now one of my new go-to dumpling/chinese food resto.

Very delicious food. Their sweet and sour pork had a nice crunch to it, and the blend of the sauce was perfect, their beef hofan was really tasty but a little bit too oily for my liking, the fish w taosi sauce was really good too. It took too long for the food to arrive though, roughly thirty minutes. Try out their roasted milk tea, it’s really good.

New Po Heng Lumpia House is a hidden gem serving Hokkien-style fresh spring rolls with a delectable filling of vegetables, pork, and shrimp. Located in the pink Art-Deco Uy Su Bin Building, this family-owned eatery offers an al-fresco dining experience away from the hustle and bustle of Binondo. The restaurant's open setup allows guests to enjoy their meal outdoors without being surrounded by traffic and chaos.
We ordered Fresh Lumpia here for 100 pesos and I think it was good for two. Those who have allergies like on Crustaceans just be aware. Lumpia taste good so far but the experience is great. I recommend to try this mini resto to compare with other lumpia within Binondo. As to my experience they have almost the same taste. But it is your preferences be followed.
Ralph J — Google review
Craving satisfied! This is hands down one of the best fresh lumpia spots in the metro. The perfect balance of fresh, crisp vegetables, flavorful filling, and a deliciously nutty sauce makes every bite worth it. It’s tucked away along a small eskinita, but don’t let that stop you—this hidden gem is definitely worth the visit!
RB P — Google review
Going to this spot took some turns and we honestly felt lost but once you get there the food service is pretty quick and there are some tables around. The picture shows how it looks like before you break it open but wow that is one filling lumpia! I get why this is recommended and it is definitely worth the visit.
Ria J — Google review
A fairly okay chinese fresh lumpia. Don't expect it to taste like a typical filipino fresh lumpia. Food was served not a second later when we ordered lol. Lumpia itself is sweet and has a bit of an earthy taste and comes with an even sweeter sauce. For 100php it's good for 2 already. Went on a Sunday around 11AM and there was no line at all. There are tables along their storefront if you want to eat it right away.
Iara P — Google review
I think the Lumpia here is not a must try. The taste is okay, but not something great. Also the sweet sauce that came along with it did not help. I always look for savoury sauces.

I searched for this famous lumpia house at Binondo at it is not along the street. It cost a little high but the lumpia is worth it the price. Nestled in the vibrant heart of Manila, Hap Chan - Tomas Mapua is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Chinese cuisine. This beloved restaurant offers an extensive menu that features everything from delectable dim sum to hearty noodle soups and flavorful rice dishes. Their siomai, available in various styles including shrimp and quail egg, is particularly noteworthy—juicy and perfectly complemented by a spicy chili sauce.
All of our food items were extremely delicious to say the least. Everything was colorful, smelled as good as they tasted, and filled us up pretty well. Special mention for the platter, dimsum, chicken feet and most especially the non-oily oyster cake!

Good and Tasty Chinese Food but expect a pricey menu. The place is decent but very cramped. Almost no parking space. Another issue is that when my family relatives and I were there, they didn't serve me the drink I chose from the menu, they served a different one, which for other customers must be really frustrating. Overall, it's good. Just needs more space and a better service.
Zeuole 7 — Google review
When we arrived, the waiter immediately set a plate in front of us. We had intended to just look at the menu and check the prices, with no plans to dine in. However, since the plates were served, we felt too shy to refuse and ended up placing an order. Although the prices were high, the portion sizes were generous! We couldn’t finish the food we ordered.

Yummy! We had garlic pepper squid, I think, I am not so sure. But it was my first time to enjoy a squid dish. It was not chewy at all. It was so good. The sweet and sour pork was also great and the dumplings were perfect. Everything we had was so delicious and serving was huge so definitely worth the price.

President Tea House - Glorietta 4 is renowned for being an esteemed Chinese eatery in the Binondo region. It stands out from its competitors due to its remarkable customer service, which is a rarity among Chinese restaurants. This establishment unquestionably deserves its top ranking because of its delectable cuisine, pleasant atmosphere, and reasonable prices.
DATE: MAY 7 2022(SATURDAY)👎😤 I decided to have a quick bfast at glorietta and choose President Tea House located at the foodcourt. It was past 10 in the morning and not so many people. I ordered Hakaw, congee and coke in can. The bill is 228 I gave 528 to there "female counter".. She gave me 252 I asked her why. Because i expecting a 300 Peso change. She said because my bill is 272 I looked for a table first and double check the receipt because im kinda confused. BUT WHEN I LOOKED AT THE RECEIPT THE TOTAL BILL IS 228 NOT 272 I went back to there station immediately. I explain to them that they made a mistake. THET DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO APOLOGIZE. A SIMPLE SORRY WILL BE GREAT. They just simply get my receipt and the change. And told me. "YOUR FOOD IS READY. NASA KABILANG SIDE" Thats it! Just wow! What a great way to start my day.

Chinese restaurant
King Chef Seafood Restaurant, located on Banawe Street in Quezon City, offers a regal dining experience with its extensive menu of Cantonese culinary dishes and dim sum. The restaurant prides itself on using only the freshest ingredients and traditional cooking techniques to create flavorful seafood dishes that have been passed down through generations. Patrons can enjoy a variety of steamed and fried dim sum, including favorites like Machang, Minced Shrimp Puff, and Crispy Duck Wanton.
We had to do errands around Sta. Cruz so we had to park at Lucky Chinatown Mall. It was lunch time so we were looking for a place to dine. We found King Chef inside the mall so we chose this restaurant because we were craving some Chinese food. As we were waiting for our food, we were served free peanuts and hot tea. They were very fast in preparing the food as it arrived even before we finished the peanuts. The breaded pork chop rice topping was huge. You should order this if you're starving. The breading to meat ratio was perfect and it came with its own separate sauce. We also ordered sweet and sour pork and it was also good. Another order was tausi spareribs and it was also good. Their servings here are bigger than other restaurants so you're really getting your money's worth. They also have a happy hour for dimsum from 2PM until 5PM. We were there until past 2PM but decided not to order dimsum anymore because we were already really full. I will surely be going back to King Chef, maybe in another branch as I seldom go to Lucky Chinatown. I highly recommend this place.

I’ll definitely come back here! Right after finishing my meal, that was the first thing that came to mind. The food is delicious—even their plain congee is flavorful. The place is clean, not crowded, and service is quick. I just noticed one issue: the servers tend to forget to give water. We were already halfway through our meal and still didn’t have any, even though we were seated right next to the serving counter. They seemed more focused on chatting with each other instead.
Magnolia M — Google review
WORST service ever!!! Overstaff but extremely inefficient. Most of the lady staff are just standing around chatting rather than attending to customers needs. They almost forgot one of the dish we ordered. We had to have it followed up 3 times. By the time it was served, when we’re already done eating. Then when paying for the bill, you have to wait for another 15-20 mins. Since we requested for Sales Invoice, it took the CASHIER another 15-20 mins just to write an INVOICE!!! Despite the good food, their service is the worst we’ve encountered. Might never come back again. Really hope their service will improve by hiring only competent and attentive staff rather than having too much inefficient ones.

Fast and efficient service. Food is mostly goods But please don’t put carrots under the xiao long bao. Skin is also a bit thick but can be excused since it’s not their specialty. Salted fish fried rice is not salty enough but taste good nonetheless. Fried prawn wonton and tofu are good. Beef and broccoli is well cooked. Overall, not bad.

Great restaurant... food was very good. Everybody loved the HK spareribs, and the fried wantons were the best I ever had. Other items we ordered were also good. The rice we ordered Chao fan was dry ( why I only gave 4 stars ) , but everything else is very good. The entire staff was amazing, attentive, and looked happy to be serving us. They also responded fast to any request. They even do repacking of leftovers at a station they pull up to your table. SECOND VISIT Should of been 5 stars Food was Excellent and the service is extraordinary. One of the best restaurants I have been to in the Philippines. We were a party of 6 and each dish was really really good. The shrimp platter you see in the pictures was a promotion that we got for one ( 1 ) peso. Yes you read that right one peso. The reason I rated less than 5 stars was the way they packages the leftovers. Food was placed in a box with a sheet of plastic underneath but nothing on top so by the time we got home most of the sauce was gone and boxes were a mess.

Went there for a date with my mom and while I dined with their other branches I figured dining in one of the "oldest Chinatown in the world" would make it more authentic. Well, it kinda was. Never a fan of eating rice so I just went with the Dimsum sampler, their David Noodle set and Cold cuts. All of them taste great, just like what you would expect in any decently run Chinese resto. This particular branch has a hotpot menu if you fancy going for that. I didn't choose that route since I'm not feeling hotpot at that time. While I did mention that the food taste like what you would expect for any Chinese resto, that is basically saying that there is nothing remarkable enough to write it. If you have dined in other Chinese restos like Hap Chan, or North Park expect the same level of quality on par for those. Certainly you won't get short changed like Chowking. But if you aren't adventurous enough to eat at those dirty looking restos in Binondo (that's often where the best foods are) that you'll find Chinese or Chinoy people eat, then this is the safest Choice. The service at the resto is impeccable. I don't leave tip, but given their attentiveness and politeness I just have to leave one at least. Though there's a service charge included in the menu, I might have made a mistake on that one. 😁😂🤣 I won't be eating there again. Not because it's bad. But there are a lot of restos in the area that I would like to try. I breathe Chinese food so I kinda want to eat there if needed be.

Wanted a place not too far from the hotel and it was latish at night so this place was open on the corner. Was hungry too so ordered a good few dishes. We went for sweet and sour pork, sizzling beef dish, a dish of assorted dim sums, lemon chicken, a fried rice dish, wanton beef noodles, and all washed down with a few beers and a lemonade. Boy what a lot of dishes we ordered, but they came and they went too. The food was great, all of it. Well cooked, nice and tasty, and I was well happy with the food. I would go and even say that this was one of the best Chinese restaurants I have ever eaten in. Excellent! I hope I have the pleasure of eating in this join or one of its chains again in the future Service was friendly and polite, and the girl had excellent English too. A bit cheeky to take about 6 Euros off for vat/service charge - and the total bill came to just over 41 Euros - a lot but to be fair we did a huge amount of food! And it was good quality food as well.... Will return if in town.

The best harkaw and wantons I have had in the Philippines and I have tried many establishments in Binondo over the years but have not been inclined to leave a review. This simple, clean establishment serves no fuss delicious food. The beef wanton soup was hearty and perfect for the rainy Manila afternoon. Shrimp siomai was also a star but the chili oil was absolutely divine and matched so well with the calamansi as a condiment for all the dim sum. The only downside was the chicken feet. Otherwise would recommend for reliable feed in Binondo.

So after a few years, I decide to update my review in David’s Tea House in Binondo. We went to lunch on Chinese New Year and this place was just jampacked! We had to wait in line for our turn and we were number 29. And so my family and I ordered the usual - Polonchay seafood soup, yangchow, pata tim, salted spicy spareribs and squid calamares. You could actually spot the difference of the photo of polonchay soup in (old collaged photo) and the new photo of polonchay soup - see the texture and color? It tastes soooo different from before. You could no longer taste the authentic Chinese feels from this resto. Pati Tim was so bland. You could hardly chew the pork spareribs. The only thing I liked was the calamares. We ordered suahe and eggplant with minced pork but they never arrived because the kitchen missed to prepare it even if those were listed in our orders. We were so disappointed. We could have gone to a different resto. _______________________________ We normally visit this restaurant whenever we're in Binondo area. Food is really good!

Nestled on West Avenue, Shantung Restaurant has been a beloved destination for authentic Mandarin cuisine since 1958. This casual dining spot is renowned for its extensive menu that features a delightful array of dishes, making it perfect for family gatherings or friendly reunions. Signature offerings like the Shantung Fried Crispy Chicken, Hot & Sour Soup, and both Steamed and Fried Pork Dumplings have become favorites among patrons over the years.
Shantung is a Chinese restaurant that's been open for decades. If Shantung seems familiar, it's because it used to be located at west avenue and recently moved over to Sto Domingo. The menu is quite extensive and the food is Chinese but not like most other restaurants around Manila which are usually more Cantonese style. Their food is delicious and prices aren't really expensive. They also have rice toppings if you're eating by yourself. There's parking up front as well as street parking and the toilets are nice and clean. There's a second floor but I don't think it's open for now.

Waiters are not attentive to customers. Pork chop very oily soaking the rice. Solo order of fish lip soup cost 500. Not worth it.

Interior is old style like classic Lido of the 1980s with plastic chairs and round table. The owner did not go for modern update like ShaTin or Causeway. AC is cool. Limited seating, I saw them reject a family of 5 as early as 6pm, even though lots of tables are vacant. There is supposedly a party as 3 round tables are covered with red cloth and I think they will be arriving 1 hr later. They could have accomodated them as it is still early. The waiter warned us that serving time is about 1hr, although there are only 3 tables occupied, and they were already eating. The Frog Legs salt & Pepper is average. Sweet & Sour Pork is meaty. Hot & Sour Soup with Blood is Malangsa, so we asked for black vinegar. Small serving is generous. Best if u order 1 small per pax. There is a 2nd flr, but closed. CR is big for wheelchair to enter. Parking is scarce and full, even if there are only 3 tables occupied.

The food is still the same taste somehow, (very good) but the serving and price is totally different now, with a range of 450-650 per dish , it cannot be eaten by more than 3 people because the serving is too small. So you have to order more and if youre going to spend 3-4k per meal of 4 pax, might as well choose another restaurant nearby.

The only thing disappointing was the beef pepper - it was too expensive for 5 slices of beef (400+). I loved the laksa but personally it was too spicy for me 😅

Nov 2024: First time in this branch. We ordered skewers, chicken laksa and black & white gulaman. The skewers were a bit overcooked. The laksa was not spicy at all and it was watery. Jun 2025: Can't believe I haven't reviewed this one despite having visited several times. Food is good and there's just too many to itemize. It's pass-through to the Singaporean resto and it all depends on which street you enter from. Parking may be difficult especially during weekends and peak hours. Enjoy!

Saw this in another platform. Will add this to our go tos. Food - We loved the taste of their cereal chicken, it's unique! Loved the sauces too for the sticks. Parking - Street parking only, we went on a Sunday and was able to park to the building in front of them as they only have 5-6 parking slots? So it's recommended to go like on a Sunday afternoon. Service - Hmm not so friendly staff, had to asked twice for black vinegar.

It's alright - a place for basic Chinese dishes. Prices are still affordable and definitely value for the serving sizes. The Laksa is a standout amongst everything else. The restaurant itself isn't really the nicest and cleanest - true to its form. I'd recommend Eat Fresh if you're looking for an easy and tasty Chinese meal.

I had the chance to dine here after a few years and still get excellent experience. Fast service: The staff are well trained to handle surge of people especially during peak hours. There is waiting time but not that long. Craving-satisfying food: They provide street food close enough to the aroma and taste of the ones in Hong Kong. Parking is a little hard during weekends but it's worth the wait. We definitely enjoyed and will surely be back soon.

Food is great! Laksa is truly recommendable. Their Jumbo Siomai is meaty. Order there gulaman (ALL variants are good), it is very refreshing! Taosi Spareribs and Salted Egg Chicken rice are bestsellers, and we are happy that we ordered those! Quality food here in Eat Fresh. Price is just right. We will surely come back.

Chinese restaurant
Wai Ying Dimsum is a beloved local gem in the heart of the Philippines, renowned for its delightful offerings of classic Chinese dishes, particularly dim sum. This cozy eatery serves up an array of mouthwatering options like Century Egg Siomai, Lava Pao, Hot Salad Roll, Curry Beef Siomai, and Lomaikai. While it may be a small venue often bustling with patrons—making it less ideal for large groups—the experience is undeniably rewarding.
One of the cheapest places to get good dimsum. The skins they use can be thick and have a bad texture, but the filling is delicious. For the price, I can't complain about the quality of food I'm getting.
Richmond D — Google review
After the renovation, the food seems different now.. Not good.. Even the HK milk tea is not the same anymore.. Better go back to china town and eat something more authentic
SherryG — Google review
Not bad. I've heard the Binondo branch is superior. A perpetual, mildly unpleasant odor permeates the small establishment. My comments on some of the food here: - lemon chicken rice: my personal favorite here; sometimes has too much breading; I typically ask for the sauce to be served separately so they don't drown my chicken in it - breaded fish rice: not a fan of either the fish or the corn(?) sauce they add to it - siomai: great - shark's fin dumpling: usually great; sometimes, the wrap has an unpleasant mouthfeel, but the filling rarely disappoints - fried lumpia: okay; served piping hot, which I like - noodle soups: broth is often too salty; I try to stay away from these - congee: okay; I like the pork & century egg congee, although it could use some more century egg
Peter T — Google review
Food is splendid and worth your money, for a Chinese diner. It's just that they are severely understaffed, not being able to tend to the customer's request. I think they should implement a "self-service" system to make it feel cozier.
Daniel I — Google review
OK though with less variety in the menu compared to Benavidez branches
Jade R — Google review
The service is getting more unsatisfactory whenever I visit the restaurant. They lack staff to attend to the orders of the customers, or if not, the staff are not attentive. The place is also not that clean and well-maintained, and they no longer have house tea nor a warm / hot water. Had it not been for their Hakaw which only few chinese restaurants offer it, I would no longer visit Wai Ying 😓
Rose S — Google review
THE BEST Dim Sum in the Philippines bar none! A very small place and almost always a wait, but worth it! Not very good for large groups and no parking close by but I still give it a 5 star. Did you know the Philippines boasts the oldest China Town in the world.
Peter B — Google review
Food was nice but service is kinda slow. Plus it doesn't feel that 'clean' for a famous restaurant. But yeah, food is nice. Especially the hakaw. And affordable too!!!!

Hong Kong Noodles And Dimsum House is a fantastic eatery that offers excellent noodles and delectable dim sum, serving as a delightful addition to their already impressive menu. Furthermore, they also provide breakfast options. Previously, the individual frequented Hong Kong and China, indulging in their mouthwatering xiao long bao. This place is perfect for those seeking affordable and high-quality Chinese cuisine.
This is one of the comfort food place if you're looking to try Chinese food for a very affordable price and quality food. I have to say that both the delivery and dining experience was very satisfactory and they even extend some sort of free soup if the customer requests for it so it's actually a plus point for the restaurant as they care for their customers and they try to extend their above and beyond customer service. Kudos to Hongkong Noodles and Dumplings Quiapo.
BrianChinito89 T — Google review
It's okay to try this for the first time but with the expensive menu they have, I don't think I won't go back again. Although food doesn't taste bad at all, there's really no unique dish that stood out. Their giant siomai tasted blunt and felt like it's better to steam your own, The service is okay, staff are neither friendly or rude and the place feels like it needs more cleaning.
John Y — Google review
Arrived at 10:30am Pros: Place doesn't have many people Food Service is very fast. Food tastes... alright. Thin noodles wanton Sauces are delicious Cons: Food tastes... alright. Doesn't have enough noodles per uowl Low value for money. (2 small average-tasting siopao is worth 89). Unlikely to return here anytime soon

Tried thier beef brisket Mami and Xiao long bao. Taste average delicious, pricey and servicing is small, not worth your money, place is clean, maintained and good ambiance,

Ordered takeout from hongkong noodles and dimsum house. Got the fish fillet congee and the wonton noodles... both tastes great, for the price. Their sharksfin dumpling is also great

One of the earliest restaurant that's open near at Quiapo church, the food was good the place is clean and the staff is polite and friendly, I really enjoyed their Bao a must try when you get there.

Legit Chinese-style roast chicken! It is served with sweet n sour sauce + pickled veggies. This is a must-have together with their congee.
Leslie-Anne B — Google review
It was ok. We ordered crispy noodles, all meat but was disappointed because you can barely see the meat and veggies on the sauce. Siopao bola bola is ok.

Binondo Bites, located on Ongpin Street, is a popular spot known for its Fried Xiao Long Bao and Lava Buchi. Despite the long lines and waiting times, many visitors find the wait worthwhile. The Fried Xiao Long Bao is a soupy dumpling filled with seasoned pork and spices, while the Lava Buchi is a sesame ball with creamy custard filling. Some recommend trying both at once to make the wait more bearable.
They are only open from Friday to Sunday, from 8 AM to 9 PM. We tried the fried xiao long bao here, but they also have custard and ube lava buchi for ₱150 (5 pcs), the same price as the xiao long bao. However, they don't offer assorted flavors, just one flavor per 5pcs order. Overall, the fried xiao long bao tasted good, but not as good as the authentic or fresh ones, since it had a thicker covering compared to others.
DEN — Google review
I find charm in the unexpected—particularly when it arrives sizzling from a roadside stall under the unforgiving heat of the sun. Upon arrival, a line had already formed—a promising omen for the flavor to come. The weather? Sweltering. The service? Swift, though not without its caveats. Here’s the catch: the dishes are prepared in large batches, which means even after ordering, you’ll wait. And wait. This bottleneck creates a noticeable stall in service flow, but if you’re willing to endure, the payoff is nothing short of rewarding. When the food finally arrived, the wait dissolved into irrelevance. The dish delivered a savory depth that danced perfectly with its accompanying sauce—rich, balanced, and unmistakably crafted with intention. It’s comfort food elevated by honest flavors. To their credit, the staff recognize the heat and the wait; complimentary wintermelon tea is served to patrons queuing under the sun—an act of hospitality that speaks volumes. My advice? Bring patience, a sturdy umbrella, and a portable fan. You’ll need all three. But rest assured, the experience—culinary and otherwise—is absolutely worth it.
Boy R — Google review
Totally worth the hype! The line was pretty long, but the xiao long baos were absolutely delicious. The price for 5 pieces was decent too. Highly recommend!
Althea K — Google review
Binondo Bites always has a queue, which shows just how popular it is. The stall is located near the entrance of the Eng Bee Tin flagship store in Binondo. I highly recommend trying their Taiwan Chicken Poppers and Lava Buchi in custard flavor—they’re both delicious! However, I wasn’t a fan of the Fried Xiao Long Bao as the wrapper was too thick. I would still go for steamed Xiao Long Baos instead.
Edwin L — Google review
Loved the xiao long bao, best enjoyed immediately while hot. Just be prepared for the long wait times, and note that it gets even hotter since it's on the street side without decent shade."
Edz R — Google review
This one’s so popular and trendy recently, as proven by the long lines and waiting time. Because of FOMO and out of curiosity, we had to try their treats! We waited for about 45 minutes and ordered their fried xiao long bao and ube buchi. Was it worth the hype and lengthy queue? A hundred-percent yes! The XLBs are savory, saucy, and kickin’. Go try to know what I’m talking about! The ube buchis are soft and chewy, which makes for great desserts. Eyeing the custard variation for my next visit.
Eizen B — Google review
Expect long lines like us waiting for almost 1 hour just to taste the fried xiao long bao in Binondo Bites priced at 125php for 5pcs. Go for the spicy sauce which is not spicy at all to get that extra kick. Normal sauce is also good. Best consume right away while hot. Overall, I can say it is worth the hype especially if you love xiao long bao. I think it’s the sauce that made the difference.
Jenny N — Google review
Tried the Fried Xiao Long Bao and Buchi Custard. They have 2 flavors for Buchi but cannot be mixed for their 8 pcs so we were able to try only the custard filling.

Choi Garden is a delightful Cantonese dining experience that truly shines with its make-your-own shabu-shabu concept, making it an ideal spot for family gatherings. The restaurant offers a variety of set menus perfect for sharing, featuring delectable dishes like Roast Duck, Suckling Pig, and an impressive selection of dim sum. While the food quality reflects the high standards of their main branch in Greenhills, some service hiccups may be attributed to this location being newly opened.
Great food and good service! I love the cucumber soup, the steamed prawns, mixed vegetable with garlic and deep fried crispy squid. The sweet and sour pork was also delicious. I warmly recommend this resto. I heard their branch in Greenhills is much bigger and has a wider range of menu.
CC J — Google review
The food maintains the standards of their main branch in Greenhills. There were some issues with the service, which I want to believe are because this branch recently opened and still needs to polish a few aspects. We ordered: • Beef Hofan: It was really good – 5/5 • Hakaw: Very good – 4/5 • Roast Duck: Very good – 4/5 • Eggplant with Minced Pork: It was okay. I asked for it to be spicy, but it wasn’t, and it had a fishy taste – 3/5 • Mango Sago: Excellent – 5/5 It’s a great addition to Power Plant Mall, as it was lacking Chinese restaurant options.
Jose A — Google review
Good find in the basement level of Powerplant Mall. Prices are par for the area. Food is not bad - but nothing to write home about either. The Peking Duck could have had crisper skin. Also, they could have sliced it thinner. Taste-wise it was fine. It's just those finer points that could be improved. Service was good. Wait staff were helpful, respectful and quick on their feet. Ambiance is what you'd expect from a restaurant on the basement level.
Booie M — Google review
I find it a bit pricey for the average quality of the food. Furthermore , the service was rather slow given there were a few empty tables. If you're craving for Chinese/Asian fusion food, there are other restaurants within the Powerplant mall to choose from.
Jayme B — Google review
Good (but not great) food, bad service, and doubtful sanitation. We had dimsum, duck, and wonton noodle soup which were decent. Too bad it was so hard to order: It felt like the staff were actively trying to avoid eye contact with us, which was weird because the place was nearly empty at the time. To top it off, I almost swallowed a piece of plastic that was inside my wonton. For Chinese food at this price, better just go to Din Tai Fung which is only a floor away. Or you can go to eight treasures a few stores away on the same floor, which is cheaper and about the same quality.
Mikko M — Google review
The lechon macau was not crunchy. It was chewy and hard. There was no service tea and I have to pay for it. There were no waiters around, I have to wave my hand to be noticed. Yet there are no customers so it’s not busy. Compared to the greenhills branch, this is totally different in quality and service.
Geraldine M — Google review
the price of the food does not meet the quality and taste I was hoping for. Mann Hann and Northpark's lechon macau is way better than this one.

Wangfu is a Chinese restaurant with a traditional ambiance that may seem small at first but offers plenty of space and function rooms. The menu features Cantonese cuisine, with the Yangchow fried rice being a standout dish. However, service quality can vary depending on the staff attending to customers.
Wangfu Restaurant has become our favorite spot to satisfy our cravings. Their siomai and hakaw are always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The yang chow fried rice is loaded with ingredients and complements every dish. The real highlight, however, is their salted egg fried chicken. Crispy, rich, and absolutely addictive! It’s a must-try. Every dish is incredibly satisfying, offering great taste and excellent value for money. If you’re searching for a cozy place to enjoy a hearty meal, Wangfu is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!
Alyanna M — Google review
I remember going to WangFu in BGC about 5 years ago and the food wasn't that good, so my experience this time around was a surprise. Their personal set meals were filling and came with vegetables and soup. I would give 5 stars if the vegetables weren't cold. The regular size birthday noodles was enough for 4-5 people, so it's safe to say that they have big servings. One downside is you need to add 20 pesos if you want your drink to be sugar-free.
Den Y — Google review
Mall atmosphere sit down restaurant (5% service charge applies). Clean establishment with enough attendants to look after diners. Quality food with just the right prices for a sit down restaurant. Accepts cash, ewallets and credit cards.

I never had salted egg chicken before thats why I got curious and tried it out.For me,it was too tasty that it was on "umay" level already. The chicken though was soft and the serving was just right. The vegetable was good as well as soup. The whole place is clean and relaxing. All the staffs were attentive and approachable as well. For the set meal,I paid around 350Php,not on the cheaper side but is still ok.

We dined here on a weekend, and while it was busy, the staff were incredibly attentive and made sure we were taken care of. The manager was doing rounds to check that all our orders were delivered. The food was great, though a bit salty. I really liked their salted egg set.

**Good Food, But Discriminatory Service at Wangfu, SM Sta. Mesa** I recently dined at **Wangfu, SM Sta. Mesa**, and while I can say that the food was delicious, the service left much to be desired. From the moment I arrived, I noticed a clear difference in how customers were treated. Those who appeared well-dressed and well-off were assisted promptly, while others—myself included—were ignored or attended to with little enthusiasm. It took a long time before someone even acknowledged me, and when they finally did, the service felt cold and dismissive. What made the experience worse was the attitude of the **manager**, who was **blatantly condescending and matapobre**. Instead of ensuring that all guests received equal treatment, they seemed more interested in catering to a select few. It was disappointing and made me feel unwelcome. That being said, I have to give credit where it’s due—the **food was excellent**. The flavors were well-balanced, and the dishes were well-prepared. However, no matter how good the food is, a restaurant experience is also about service and hospitality. If Wangfu, SM Sta. Mesa, wants to maintain a good reputation, they need to train their staff to treat all customers with **respect and fairness**. ⭐ 2/5 – **Great food, but poor service ruins the experience.**
Coser Y — Google review
Disappointing Service and Rude Staff I had a terrible experience at Wangfu SM Sta. Mesa. The service was extremely slow, and the waiters had an arrogant attitude. We had to wait far too long just to get a table, even though there were available seats. We ordered a lot of food, but it took forever for them to take our payment. Even getting the bill was a struggle—almost like they didn’t even want to accept our payment. Overall, the poor service completely ruined the dining experience. Definitely not coming back.

We recently hosted our company year-end party with Central Park Diner, and I can't help but express my utmost satisfaction. From the initial inquiry to finalizing the deal and throughout the event, Central Park Diner consistently delivered top-tier customer service. Their inclusive package, which accommodates all major credit cards, including ours (a feature not widely accepted by all establishments), was truly a great advantage. The staff were hospitable and provided accommodation from the event's beginning to end. They ensured our optimal experience by promptly attending requests such as rearranging chairs and providing assistance with the TV. The venue impressed us with its cleanliness and spaciousness, and we appreciated the completeness and functionality of the provided tech equipment, including a TV with HDMI and a sound system. We opted for 2 food sets, we were delighted by the variety and heartiness of each meal. The food was not only delicious but also served hot. Overall, Central Park Diner is highly recommended. 👌🏻 Thank you Central Park Diner for making our year-end party memorable and enjoyable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
