Coffee shop
Det Lille Kaffekompaniet is a must-visit spot in Bergen, Norway for coffee enthusiasts. It offers great coffee and a fantastic atmosphere.
Nice and intimate coffee place in the small backstreets close to the harbor. The latte and cappuccino were perfect as was the carrot cake. Maybe it is a victim to its own success. Expect some waiting in line and tables disappearing quickly. Hopefully they will open a second location shortly.
Björn — Google review
Firstly, the coffee. I am still looking for the best flat white in Norway. Det Lille Kaffekompaniet has come close but today the coffee was not hot enough. The coffee beans used had a very smooth and delicious flavor and the coffee was the correct double shot strength. The milk was creamy and that made the cappuccino enjoyable. Overall a good attempt and recommended. The service was good and they brought the coffee to you. There is indoor seating and outdoor seating for nice days.
Simon R — Google review
My husband loved his flat white, and I had one of the best hot chocolates I’ve ever had. We also shared an oatmeal cookie that was fresh, homemade, and absolutely delicious. The café itself is the cutest little spot — tucked away so that as you walk through the pathway, you stumble upon charming photo-worthy corners. It’s just adorable, and I loved everything about it. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re ever in Bergen.
Nada A — Google review
a nice little coffeeshop, I dont know if I just came at an unfortunate time, but the bakery ive had, did not taste fresh at all. The chai latte, and the cake on the other hand were really good, especially the cake.
Lukiro — Google review
Such an amazing coffee shop! The staff were all so nice and my iced latte was delicious. I love the views that you can get from the cafe and the little neighborhood is so adorable. Sad I didn’t get to try any pastries but my fault for going so late in the afternoon. Highly recommend!
Asia B — Google review
Hard working crew here. Baked goods were tasty but the cappuccino was the star of the show. My only criticism is that there isn't really a good place to wait when it's busy as it's pretty tight in there, and you likely will be waiting at least a few minutes. Your best bet is getting your coffee and/or treat and finding a shady/quiet spot nearby to enjoy it.
A. — Google review
The carrot cake was insane. Very nice selection of coffees and was reasonably priced as well. Not a lot of things to eat though. But amazing carrot cake, amazing cinnamon buns also. Also saw date muffins, oat cookies, and some sandwiches. The carrot cake was 85 NOK. Very nice place to relax and be with friends. Great experience!
Mariana A — Google review
My sister and I visited Det Lille Kaffekompaniet after reading that the café—or at least the building it’s in—has been around for over 200 years! That alone gave it such a charming, historic feel. It’s a tiny little gem tucked away in Bergen, and although the inside seating was full, we sat outside and actually loved the cozy atmosphere with the fresh air. We ordered a slice of their carrot cake topped with a creamy frosting that had a hint of lemon in it—absolutely delicious! Moist, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The highlight for my sister was the flat white, which was recommended by the super friendly barista. She loved it! You could really taste the quality of the coffee, and the milk was steamed just right. Even though it’s a small space, the staff made it feel warm and welcoming. It’s the kind of café that makes you want to linger and soak in the surroundings. Definitely a must-visit spot if you’re in Bergen and want a taste of good coffee, great dessert, and a cozy slice of history.

What a gem. Just what we wanted. A decent salad supper followed by apple cake with ice cream. Service friendly and helpful. Prices good for Norway. Relaxed atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend after a long day of sightseeing.

Nice place to sit outside and get a good breakfast. We ordered omelettes and fish soup and they were great. A bit pricey
Santiago S — Google review
Lovely vibes. Service is nice as well. Not too many food options, but what we tried was good.
Julia R — Google review
All good. Went in the evening around 7pm on a Thursday. Fish dishes were good and fish cooked well. Pleasant atmosphere, not stuffy, relaxed and chatty, it felt good. Order at the bar hence the lower stars for the service.
Michelle U — Google review
Amazing Place. The Cod was outstanding! We had a little miscommunication issue on my behalf and I ordered a shrimp plate that I was allergic to, but immediately was taken care and offered options. The service was friendly the second we walked in. We felt very welcomed. Great Spot! Definitely worth a try!! If I am ever back in Bergen this will be my first place. Great Job!

This was a cool spot! The cod was a highlight but everything was flavourful and fresh. I loved the chilled music playing, too.

Kaffemisjonen, located in Bergen, Norway, is known for its great coffee and good vibes. It is one of the many places in the area that offer a trendy and inviting atmosphere for enjoying a cup of coffee. Other notable spots include Colonialen, Kaigaten Kaffebar, Det Lille Kaffekompaniet, Blom, Smakverket, Plassen, and Amalies Hage at Bergen Public Library.
Lovely cafe. Visited Thursday morning and it was not too busy. Tables were full but one always opened up when someone new arrived. Typical coffee menu and a small breakfast menu. Assortment of delicate pastries, toasts, and cakes. The avocado and egg toast is delicious. Slice of farm bread, chunky avocado spread, and topped with perfectly boiled egg quarters. Very chill and friendly vibe 💕
Agnes K — Google review
Nice cafe with quite good coffee. My V60 was slightly acidic (grind size a bit too big) and the wait time was 15 minutes when there were only 5 people in front of me because there was only one staff member on a Saturday morning during busy time, but on the whole decent. They have a good selection of coffees.
Ben D — Google review
It really has the best flat whites I have one with soy next day with oat and both smooth and delicious. also had their toast with avocado and egg. The bread here is nice and thin but super filling and tasty. A great to find a small cafe instead of the touristy branded ones that serve mediocre coffee at best. ✨
Tracy C — Google review
The nicest service I had in Bergen so far🥰 good coffee ☕️ , avocado sandwich was fresh and tasty, scones was just out of the oven and served with butter and jam😋 I stayed there for a long time, and was able to work quitely with no disturb it was great 👌 highly recommend 😀
Ilanit A — Google review
This coffee shop has a great atmosphere and the service is warm and welcoming. With their many awards, I came in expecting the coffee to really stand out. Unfortunately, the quality didn’t quite meet those expectations. I ordered a flat white – while the presentation was nice, the milk texture wasn’t as creamy as it should be, and the espresso tasted a bit plain and lacked depth. Overall, it’s a lovely place to sit and enjoy the vibe, but I feel the coffee itself could be improved to match the high reputation.
Tasmala B — Google review
Very nice cafe spacious enough even when too many people, definitely better at times when it is slow.. but also good during those rainy Bergen moments

Unique and flavorful. Loved the atmosphere, calm and quiet away from hustle and bustle of the city center.

Great place to chill and read. Both the filter and V60 are delicious. They let you pick any of the bags they have to make you on a V60, so it's like a taste if you are looking to pick up a bag too.

Cafe
Godt Brød Vestre Torggaten is a bakery in the central part of Oslo. It offers organic and locally sourced breads, pastries, and other baked goods, as well as coffee. The bakery also has a number of branches around town. The quality of the goods is good, and the customer service is fast and friendly.
We had a lovely breakfast here on a quiet, rainy morning in Bergen. I had the focaccia with mozzarella and tomato, warm and fluffy with the perfect touch of pesto and balsamic. My girlfriend chose the bacon and brie sandwich with mayo, chili jelly, and arugula, and it was full of flavor. We paired them with creamy lattes and shared a soft cinnamon pastry that rounded everything off just right. The café has a cozy atmosphere with a beautiful second floor and an outdoor patio, perfect for relaxing. Whether you’re escaping the rain or enjoying a slow morning, this place is worth a visit.
Nazaret R — Google review
We ordered iced mocha, iced latte and hot mocha coffee. The iced drinks are bland (watered down by the ice?) But the hot drink was just the right taste. So maybe they should change the recipe for iced drinks to compensate for the ice? Huge space inside with a 2nd floor. They have selection of sandwiches and pastries too.
Bel P — Google review
Nice and clean café with nice staff in Bergen's centre! Fresh pastries and good coffee. Pastr🍪 Free refills for black coffee! ☕️ Enjoy your coffee indoors, outdoors, or in the open-roof section. One Sommerbolle and one black coffee, 110 nok.
Soroush — Google review
Good, local bakery and coffee house, perfect spot for a quick breakfast. The egg and avocado sandwich is very tasty. The two girls behind the counter are wonderful to deal with. Right in the corner of 2 intersecting street.
Roberto V — Google review
We bought some coffee and sandwiches for takeaway and is delicious!
Nun N — Google review
Entered 30 minutes before closing on my last night here as I had the cardamom bun and it was the best I had in the other branch (Flottmannsplassen). Worried that I couldn’t make it in time to enjoy sitting in the cafe to have it but the staff said that we could enjoy them in the store for about 30 minutes! Unfortunately, cardamom buns were sold out (understandable since it’s SO GOOD), so we got the cinnamon bun with custard instead and two hot drinks. Staff were all friendly and approachable even 15 minutes before closing, they’re still entertaining customers 🙏🏻🙏🏻 thank you for making my last night in Bergen so memorable!

Colonialen Litthus is a popular café located in the Litteraturhuset in Bergen, offering great coffee and a cozy atmosphere. The café serves delicious dishes such as pig ear terrine and smoked salmon salad. It is known for its fantastic brunch options, including one of the best beef sandwiches.
Loved our lunch here. Had the mussels as a starter, then Eggs Benedict. Both were amazing, at a reasonable price (for Norway). Service was attentive and kind. The place is very chic and I love the library next door as well.
Connie T — Google review
We came in at 5:00 PM, which is a bit early for dinner there, but we had been traveling all day and had not had lunch. Thomas could not have been nicer and let us be the first guests for the evening in the dining room. Service was fabulous and dinner delicious. We had langostinos for a starter and my friend had the wolf fish and I had the green risotto. We came back the next evening for a drink in the bar in front. Also excellent.
K H — Google review
I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Colonialen Litt in Bergen, Norway. This restaurant, located in the heart of Bergen not far from the fish market, offers a truly unique concept. It blends a restaurant and bar with an artist’s residence and library, creating an atmosphere that feels both creative and relaxed. Inside, you’ll find artistic touches and frescoes, while large windows give you a view of murals on nearby buildings. The service was extremely friendly and welcoming, and the semi-open kitchen allows you to watch the chefs at work. The food itself focuses on relatively simple preparations made with high-quality ingredients. We especially enjoyed the small lobster-like crustaceans served with toasted bread – very simple, but delicious. Other dishes we tried included salmon with potatoes, vegetables, and a light sauce; pork with a piquant sauce, mushrooms, and vegetables; and another fish served with broccoli and vegetables. To finish, we had a creative take on lemon tart, which was refreshing and well executed. Portions are on the smaller side, and prices are somewhat on the slightly higher end, but the overall experience – with its artistic setting, warm service, and tasty food – makes this a place worth visiting if you are in Bergen.
Eric D — Google review
A Chic Culinary & Artistic Gem! This restaurant blends art, design, and gastronomy in the most effortless way. The moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by an artistic ambiance — open kitchen on one side, a cozy library next door, and beautifully curated décor that feels both creative and intimate. As a food professional, I was impressed by how thoughtfully the three-course menu was crafted. The staff’s attention to detail stood out — they thoughtfully asked about allergens before taking orders, ensuring every guest’s comfort and safety without interrupting the flow of the dining experience. Each dish showcased balance, precision, and personality — from the delicate starters to the perfectly executed mains. But the true star of the evening was the apple purée dessert: an elegant, modern twist that managed to be both nostalgic and innovative. Smooth, subtly tart, and paired with just the right textures — it’s the kind of dessert that lingers in your memory long after the last bite. The service matched the setting — attentive without being intrusive, and clearly passionate about the food and concept. Whether you’re here to indulge, be inspired, or simply unwind, this spot delivers on every level. A must-visit for anyone who believes dining is an art form.

No reservation on a saturday, such a tourist move (that’s on us). Three of us if you include our baby boy so yeah of course fully booked but the very kind hostess offered the sofa - which I can really appreciate. Thinking in function of the restaurant and customer experience. It was great. Good atmosphere, vibrant and young staff and no nonsense good food. We will be back in Bergen, and we will be back in Litthus!
Teun L — Google review
Tried their bubbles tasting with 6 types of sparkling in around 1,5 hours. Great selection so you a really got around to try. Entertaining and educational sommelier. Was a bit speedy for my taste, but not a rush.
Nil0 — Google review
By far the most delicious gastronomic experience in Bergen. Such delicious and creative food with plenty of tastes and textures, and such amazing service. The visibly open kitchen with chefs cooking in front of your eyes - speaks for itself. This restaurant for sure deserves many Michelin stars!!!!
Ol G — Google review
Had a business lunch, and the waiter is not very responsive. Food is simple for lunch but decent, thus 4 stars. Their egg benedict looks great, but unfortunately I went for the mussels. I make better mussels so it didnt impress me much. Interior is not great, but if you like rustic style it is fine. Therefor only 3 stars for ambient and interior and 2-3 stars for service.

The mussels were simply great as well as the apple pie. The staff is friendly. Service is a bit slow but it was fine for holidays 😀 very quite compare to city center. Perfect for a stop during your visit to the lovely suburb

Best meal we’ve had so far while on our trek across Western Europe.
Emily B — Google review
Fantastic location, particularly on a sunny day, but we felt the menu unfortunately let the place down. In terms of drinks, there weren’t really that many options, and the food was greasy. We had the sardines served with bread and butter. The bread had been deep fried in oil, the sardines were served in oil and it was served with butter and a slice of lemon, all a bit tasteless, not even a squeeze of lemon could cut through the oil. A side salad was on the online menu which would have helped, but this wasn’t on the menu in the restaurant when we arrived. All in all - a good place for a drink in the sun, but it could be better.

The traditional Norwegian buildings and fluttering flags create a unique ambiance. Visitors can savor delicious waffles with various toppings, including the sought-after brown cheese. Guests praise the excellent service and friendly staff who go above and beyond to accommodate special requests.
We arrived 10 minutes after opening! The place is tucked back along a narrow alley. According to my young daughter, “food is good!” They had waffles with powdered sugar. The owner was extremely pleasant and kind, very welcoming! We loved it and if this wasn’t our last day in Bergen we’d come back everyday.

We enjoyed the brown cheese on a waffle (64 kroner), it was a great way to try this Norwegian food! The cafe is cute with lots of places to sit inside and outside, and the staff was really nice. The man working the front counter was very outgoing. They have tap water to drink as well.

Beautiful little Café with top notch „La Marzocco“ coffee machine and freshly baked waffles and aaaaabsolutely delicious skillingbolle. The staff was super friendly. I love the Bryggen vibe with the wooden floors and houses and KAF fits in very well. Pro tip: the birds love the baked goods as well 😅

Best café ever. We were guided here by cinnamon smell in the air. The bartenders are kind and cheerful. Number ones! The place is little but cozy and comfortable. Great selection of hot and cold drinks

As soon as we entered, the staff had a big smile on his face ready to welcome us, felt really nice! We ordered Nutella waffles, they were no different from usual waffles with Nutella on it, but upon request he added cream on top of it as well, how sweet of them. The waffle was really soft and freshly made, felt so good having it. The place is a cute small place in one of the Bryggen Wharf alleys, very scenic and cozy. They also had hot drinks, alcohol and different sorts of beverages. There were people who entered the cafe looking for a box as a part of their treasure hunt adventure, I was intrigued, seemed really cool! But overall definitely recommend this place for the big smile, cozy and warm place, and really nice waffles! Specially on a rainy day.

Very cozy and cheap caffe in beautiful place in hearth of Bryggen, waffles was really good and coffee also delicious. Man who work there, maybe owner, are so kind, nice and warm person. Highly recommended
Nikodem A — Google review
Came here from a recommendation online! I was told to try the waffle with brown cheese. When I ordered, the very nice gentleman at the register asked if I wanted sour cream and jam as well. I told him I was only told cheese, but asked if I should get the sour cream and jam and he said yes, so I did 😂 I also ordered an iced dirty chai. The waffle was so interesting with all the flavors, but was very good. The cheese was very strong in my opinion and stuck out the most, but when I had a smaller bite of cheese, the other flavors came out more. I thoroughly enjoyed eating here. My iced dirty chai was okay, but not the great, didn’t seem to be much chai in it, but it was fine and I drank it with no complaints. 😄

The café takes pride in using fresh, local ingredients to prepare their dishes from scratch. One of their standout items is the Eggs Benedict, which comes with either smoked trout or local bacon.
Good option for breakfast in Bergen. It's perfect for the beggining of a day dedicated to the KODE museums. I ordered "Cowboy eggs" and truly loved them. Price is fair for Norway. Service can be slow at rush hours, but is not a big deal. I will definetly come back.

Loved this place, we went twice during our stay for breakfast. The staff are friendly and welcoming and make you feel at ease. Menu is small but solid - huge sandwiches! They were easily able to accommodate my request to make my meal vegetarian. Simple decor, calm and relaxed. Highly recommend!

Fjåk Chocolate Shop & Café, located in Bergen, Norway, is a must-visit for chocolate enthusiasts. The store offers locally made chocolates from the Hardanger region, known for its stunning fjords just a few hours away from Bergen. Visitors can enjoy excellent coffee and uniquely flavored hot chocolate while indulging in delicious gluten-free chocolate cookies. The café's cozy atmosphere and friendly staff create the perfect setting to savor Norway's finest chocolates.
Was recommended to try by a local. I was not disappointed. The chocolate is made locally about 2 hours away. Don't be afraid of the brown cheese; give it a try! It's creamy and tastes a bit like caramel. The salted caramel instead is divine; silky smooth. Lots of interesting flavors both in truffles and bars. Worth a visit.
IMtrigirl — Google review
I had a wonderful experience at Fjåk Chocolate Shop & Café. The hot chocolate was rich, velvety, and full of deep cocoa flavor — one of the best I’ve tried. The cappuccino was equally impressive, perfectly balanced with smooth coffee and creamy milk foam. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made the visit even more enjoyable. A perfect spot for chocolate lovers and coffee enthusiasts alike. Highly recommended!
Mohammed A — Google review
I was freezing from the rain when I stepped into the Fjåk chocolate shop & cafe and it instantly felt like the perfect escape. The space is small but incredibly cozy and the atmosphere let me warm up right away. The waitress was super friendly and welcoming. I ordered a hot chocolate and it was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted - rich, creamy, perfectly balanced between sweet and bitter and the marshmallow on top made it even better. Such lovely spot for a comforting treat, I highly recommend it!
Jorė K — Google review
I ordered the best hot chocolate I have ever had, which is called brown cheese white hot chocolate, specifically from the Fjak. The taste of the chocolate was truly exceptional – it reminded me of a perfect blend of creamy, salted caramel that just melted on my tongue. I also decided to try their orange-flavored option, which was a delightful and unique experience. Orange-flavored chocolate has been a favorite of mine since childhood, bringing back cherished memories. I wholeheartedly recommend you give their chocolate drinks a try when you're at their location; it's really worth sampling all of the different varieties they have available. The whole experience is truly unique. Additionally, the staff members appear to be very friendly and always have genuine smiles.

Such a nice place. I ordered 100% hot chocolate in Spanish style. It was amazingly good. The barista lady offered us a try and let us decide if we really want to go with this unique strong flavor. She was so kind. Indeed the 100% hot chocolate was so strong.I feel it was even stronger than a double espresso. It went super well with a bit creme.
Fan Z — Google review
I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the cacao drinks joint Fjak chocolate shop & café in Bergen, Norway. A must-visit spot in the old town of Bergen if you’re a chocolate lover. This café specializes in cacao and tea-based drinks and has an impressive range of chocolates with different intensities, which can be enjoyed as drinks or in various chocolate specialties prepared on site. They also offer a selection of products you can buy to take home. The place is very popular, so seating is limited – there’s a tiny terrace at the entrance and just a few tables inside, quite close together. You’ll often need patience to find a spot, but it’s absolutely worth the wait. Despite the constant flow of customers, the staff remain cheerful and friendly, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. For anyone visiting Bergen, this is almost an obligatory stop.
Eric D — Google review
Very popular and small cafe. I found it accidentally, 79 kr for a hot chocolate is not cheap, but tasted good. I like dark chocolate, but the most chocolate drinks you get in Norway are too sweet for me. This one is perfect. It’s a pity they don’t deliver to other places than Bergen . I bought 2, hope it tastes the same by making myself. The lady staff working there was very kind, even the shop is closing, helped me with all purchases:)
Becky C — Google review
Their hot chocolate is creamy, chocolatey, and creative. Truly and really delicious. They have lots of different types- I tried their regular milk chocolate and the brown cheese. Both, delicious. I also tried their hojicha cherry drink and a blueberry milk chocolate bar as well which were both just okay. (If you’re a big time tea snob like me, this hojicha won’t cut it for you- it’s mild and grainy. But if you just want a fun, mild drink, it could work!) Come for the hot chocolate, it’s definitely worth it for that. Plus the outdoor patio in the back is so lovely to sit and lounge in.

Vågal is a cozy and hip cafe with a surprisingly spacious interior and an outdoor area at the back. The atmosphere is enhanced by great music choices, making it a wonderful place to relax. The baristas impress with their skills, serving up delicious Kenyan pourover coffee and beautifully crafted lattes. The menu offers fantastic options like apple cake, chai lattes, iced tea, pesto sandwiches, and homemade soup.
A great place to meet up with friends, study but also enjoy other things such as knitting, reading and playing board games. The coffee and food is truly great and worth the money. The staff always makes sure the atmosphere is nice and cozy and always have a great playlist on in the background :)

This is hands down one of the best cafes I have ever been to! Insanely good coffee, amazing food, super cosy atmosphere and professional and friendly service! Will always come here when I am Bergen!

Cozy small place to chill out even on Sunday (normally most shops are closed). They serve good sandwiches, coffee, tea, as well as beers. I also like red berries tea and apple cake, there are 10-12 tables to sit with many books and board games to play. Lovely!

Very nice and cozy cafe, good drinks, unfortunately not really vegan options, vegetarian is possible though and tastes really nice
Estelle S — Google review
Their ginger toddy slaps. One of the best hot drinks I've ever had. So good. The nachos are delicious, but could be better. Not enough cheese or salsa, pretty dry by the end. One of the employees wasn't particularly friendly, but the other woman with curly hair was great and helpful. Music could be a bit quieter. Thanks for having actual soft seating and not purely the wooden hard chair nightmares most public places think is sufficient (though there's some of that here too). LET PEOPLE BE COMFORTABLE AND SIT COMFORTABLY, TAKK.

Fast service: 5/5 Friendly service: 5/5 Tasty food: 4/5 Value for money: 5/5 The strength of the place is its laid-back, quirky atmosphere and very friendly service. The lady taking our order was a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. Soup of the day is a great concept, bread, and butter that come with it were absolutely delicious. Cauliflower soup was also tasty, though I missed the creaminess a bit. The whole place is decorated with origami and there are some board games available so it's a nice place for a meeting with friends or a date when you're worried you won't be able to hold a conversation. After a certain hour the place serves alcohol so it's a café with an opportunity for brunch.

The place itself is charming and very cozy. Besides coffee offers they also have beer on tap. I only had a coffee americano and it was a bit too acidic to my taste. You have to order at a bar, but the service is really fast.

I’m still in shock from how rude the service here was, by far the worst I’ve ever experienced anywhere in the world. The server was friendly with other patrons, so the only thing I can reasonably surmise from this experience was a hint of racism. Best to avoid this place

Chill cafe near the university where many students and professors come to visit. Really enjoyed their carrot cake that had a tinge of cinnamon sweetness. Their coffee is also tasty, not very bitter.

Nobel Bopel is a popular neighborhood cafe and vintage furniture store located in Mohlenpris, offering a hipster coffee shop atmosphere and a selection of natural wines. The cafe has a peaceful and beautiful ambiance with Scandinavian design elements. Visitors can enjoy good coffee, brunch options, and a cozy environment with friendly service. Additionally, the location is praised for its charming surroundings.
Really pretty cafe. They have quite a lot of space, both indoor and outdoor seating, and sofas indoors to chill on. The decor is cool and there’s a very relaxed vibe inside. You can also use it as a work space as they have plenty of tables and WiFi. They have a varied menu with lots of vegetarian options. Food was slightly slow when we were there but they were down a staff member so I don’t think that’s representative of normal.

For my last day in Bergen, I wanted to explore less touristy neighborhoods, which led me to a cozy cafe called Nobel Popel. Place was pretty packed since the weather was sunny and it was the weekend, nevertheless I was able to find a place and got a cardamom and coconut cappuccino (63NOK) alongside a vanilla bun vanilla hun (44NOK). Gotta say, though the service was immaculate and the vibe was very cozy, both the cappuccino and bun were disappointingly flavourless.
Michelle S — Google review
The interior was extremely pleasantly designed, you could tell that someone poured their soul into that place. Also good sitting space with both sofas and chairs. The prices were not expensive, and staff very friendly, as we forgot to ask for oat milk (entirely our fault) they offered to remake our coffee free of charge. Sweet place, totally recommended!!!

Nice cafe with a beautiful interior. I had just a coffee which was reasonably priced (for Norway). The stuff was very nice and helpful. A lot of sitting place inside and outside. Wheelchair accessible and there is a place to change a baby in the toilet.

The cafe is so peaceful, and simply beautiful. The brunch menu is surprisingly sufficient unlike many places in Norway. We had brownie, cappuccino, cortado and the shared brunch platter. The brownie was fine. The coffees were good; I also loved the cups. The shared brunch was both delicious and very satisfying with cheese, fruits, hummus and else. The bread served was also very fresh and delicious. All in all, it was a good experience.

Noble Bopple has always been one of my favorite cafés in Bergen. I used to come almost every weekend for their chili cappuccino and often for brunch with friends their food and atmosphere have always been pleasant. But recently I had an unpleasant experience. We were with friends and ordered lots of things it was only me that have some food sensitivities, so I had a small lunchbox with something I could safely eat. But I ordered my drinks and dessert from them. A lady who works there, whom I hadn’t seen before, came and spoke to me very rudely in front of everyone, telling me I couldn’t eat it there. It was embarrassing and uncomfortable, especially in front of everyone. She told me to close the box right away, and stood there until I did. I completely understand that it’s their café and their rules, and of course I followed what she said but the way it was said really disappointed me I still like this café, but I hope next time they treat customers with a bit more kindness.

Great place to get a snack. The prices are quite high but the quality is worth it. We took a Norwegian cheese plate (including the famous brown cheese) and it was really really good. If you wanna have a taste of Norway finest cheeses this is the place to go!
Penny — Google review
We had been looking for brown cheese for a while, specifically Brun Undredal which tastes like caramel flavoured fudge (beautiful stuff). We found it here along with other brown cheese. The assistant let us taste one other to compare, but Undredal was so much better. We wanted to use up our remaining currency before returning to Scotland. We had 116kr to spend. She cut us a block of the cheese and weighed and priced it. It was within 2 cents of the total. Amazing service, others have mentioned to other parts of the shop and it is certainly worthy of business.

Enjoyed dining in at Baker Brun for breakfast with really friendly and cool staff. 😎 The total cost for all was around kr 250. Their "vanlige café" offers refills for just kr 15. The pastries were good and fresh. The pistachio bolle was tasty, though I think a slightly longer bake time could have made the dough more puffy, also the cream was soft and light with a hint of rum.

Simply the best spot for a really good coffee in town. Went there every single day on our Bergen stay, grabbed a flat white and sat down outside in the warming sun. On a cool and rainy evening in Bergen - and in a Sunday night, when many restaurants are shut early - it was a pleasure to have this cozy spot just a few minutes' walk from our Airbnb flat.
