Italian restaurant
Virgin Courtyard is a charming Mediterranean-style restaurant located in Chandigarh. The beautiful interiors are adorned with floral decor and white furnishings, creating a romantic and rustic atmosphere. The restaurant offers an elevated dining experience with its terrace seating, serving handpicked Italian dishes and wines. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a special celebration with family, Virgin Courtyard provides the perfect setting to enjoy exquisite Italian cuisine in a serene countryside ambiance.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Loved the vibe at Virgin Courtyard! The Margherita pizza was fresh with perfect crust, and the mushroom risotto was creamy and flavorful. Virgin sangria was refreshing and fruity. Beautiful ambiance, great service—perfect for a relaxed Italian meal in Chandigarh!
Jagwinder S — Google review
I had lunch at Virgin Courtyard and tried their half-and-half vegetarian pizza, which was absolutely delicious! The crust was perfectly baked—crispy on the edges and soft inside—with fresh toppings and great flavors on both halves. It was well-seasoned and satisfying. I also had a mocktail, which was refreshing and well-balanced, not too sweet, just the right mix of flavors. The ambiance of the place added to the experience—calm, cozy, and perfect for a relaxed meal. Overall, it was a great experience with good food, a lovely setting, and quality service. Definitely a place worth revisiting!
Phalguni — Google review
The place is great in terms of food and ambiance, no cap. But the price they charge is exorbitant and their quantities are miserly. So while I'd reccomend this for an anniversary/special day, it is simply not feasible for regular dinners.
Aayan S — Google review
Atmosphere was good. Food delivered was relatively cold. Had to rewarm it. 10/10 for cleanliness. The lights were superb. However the services were relatively slow
Ramanjot D — Google review
Virgin Courtyard is hands down one of the best fine dining restaurants for continental cuisine in the city. The ambiance is absolutely charming — serene, romantic, and perfect for both intimate dinners and relaxed lunches. The food is consistently delicious, with every dish beautifully presented and full of authentic flavor. Their pastas, wood-fired pizzas, and signature desserts are a must-try! The staff is courteous, attentive, and adds to the overall great experience. Highly recommend Virgin Courtyard for anyone who loves quality continental food in a stunning setting.

Amazing Italian restaurant Nice place for couples and families to dine in
Sanbir K — Google review
Last week, I had the pleasure of dining at Virgin Courtyard, an authentic Italian restaurant. Our meal was a delightful experience from start to finish. We started with a thin-crust veg pizza straight from the oven, bursting with flavor. The handmade spinach pasta with white sauce was a true standout, perfectly cooked and wonderfully creamy. The shallow-fried veggie couscous was a unique and delicious side dish. To drink, we enjoyed refreshing hibiscus tea. The ambience and interior of Virgin Courtyard were charming, adding to the overall dining experience. One thing that stood out was the way they served the welcome bread and handmade vegetable sauce, which truly boosted our appetites. The attention to detail and quality of the food made our visit memorable, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine in a lovely setting.

Dhaba
Non vegetarian restaurant
Punjabi restaurant
Pal Dhaba is a renowned restaurant in Chandigarh, known for its delectable butter chicken and other chicken dishes that attract food enthusiasts from near and far. While famous for its non-vegetarian offerings, the restaurant also caters to vegetarian diners with dishes like Chana Masala, Shahi Paneer, and Dal Makhani. Situated in Mohali, this eatery embodies the authentic flavors of Punjabi cuisine in a modest yet lively setting.
Pal Dhaba, M3-B2 Market, Mohali – Food is very delicious and full of taste. Service is also good. However, the seating space is not very comfortable and could be improved for a better dining experience. Overall, a great place to eat and worth 5 stars. Just need to improve the seating arrangement.
Shiva E — Google review
This place is massively overhyped by food bloggers and doesn’t live up to the buzz. Charging ₹310 for dal makhni with just two servings is outright ridiculous, especially when the quality is below average. To top it off, the roti was served cold and undercooked in places, which is completely unacceptable. Honestly, there’s nothing special here—just overpriced food with mediocre service. Save your money and try someplace that actually delivers on taste and quality."
Neelamber S — Google review
Not a great experience at all at pal dhaba mohali outlet. The chicken was not fresh. Do not recommend this place. Please visit the Chandigarh branch. This place does not serve anywhere close to what is served there.
Kartik G — Google review
Half tandoori chicken cost me 300, and just 5 small pieces came. Food bloggers have created unnecessary hype, but the taste is not worth the high price. I would say it’s better to cook at home rather than coming here. If someone wants to have chicken or dinner and is in 3B2, don’t go to this place, remember that. Look for some other dhaba instead. This was my worst experience
Immortal S — Google review
The owner is good but seems quite busy managing Diwali shopping. However, the staff is rude and lacks basic manners while dealing with customers. The food was served in an improper manner & cold food, with a lot of arrogance.
Jitendra K — Google review
Its 4am I am writing this review aa after having their food at night I was not able to sleep for a sec. I don't know whats the hype about the pal dhaba, food had no taste, unhealthy ,overpriced. You are taking 250 for per plate chicken and it consists only two small pieces, seriously? Not only that I have suffered food poisoning after having their food at night. Whole night I suffered. If it get worsen it will be your fault.
Renaissance D — Google review
We had ordered a veg order kadhai paneer rice roti and but they delivered chicken and naan order. After that they dont even acknowledge their mistake that correct order has not been recieved.
Vinay B — Google review
Its ok ! No extra salads they will charge for it. food quality is good but quantity is low. Prices is pretty much expensive. Good sitting on ground floor but underground sitting is poor which is not looking cool.staff is good n helpful. You can go with your family or friends. 👍

Panipuri shop
Fast food restaurant
Garg Chaat in Chandigarh is a renowned street food hub known for its delectable and spicy offerings. The shop has been a favorite among locals for generations, drawing large crowds eager to savor its flavorful treats. One of the most beloved items is the panipuri, featuring a crunchy crust filled with either spicy water or creamy sauce. While waiting in line at this bustling eatery may test your patience, the unparalleled taste of their Golgappa makes it well worth the wait.
I love this place their paani puri, tikki chaat is amazing. I always go to this place my gol gappa craving the paani is always chilled and tangy as per my taste pallet. Their tikki they serve in patta plate which looks so authentic. Tikki is always crispy and fresh. Place is usually full with people. I have tried their chaap and nutri kulcha which i would say is average. But when it comes to chaat they are unbeatable in Chandigarh.
Gursimranjit K — Google review
One of the oldest chaat shops in Chandigarh. It used to be good but there is a constant decline in the quality of taste & service. The person serving golgappas is very rude. There are many other compromises also due rush. I have stopped frequenting this eatry because there are better options available now.
Anuraag K — Google review
The taste isn't as such as it is hyped by few. There's no sitting and standing area. You can try golgappa if you want but chaat counter taste and people and everything is pathetic and beggars will be piling up to you all the time
Advocate R — Google review
Better taste , too mucch crowd in evening. Must visit one time
Dalbir S — Google review
Not worth the hype..Tried tikki, pao bhaji and gol gappes..Only gol gappe were tasty..Rest other food items were just average..
Abhishek N — Google review
Excellent tiki, whether eaten with dahi n chutneys, with chutneys only or as plain. Very good golgappe, though their signature imli kicked paani has changed now. Problem is that there is no sitting area. Too crowded, so one has to struggle to taken tokens n have ur dish. Dahi paapdi is average.
Rajiv — Google review
Good food I had malai chaap and the taste was fine. Some pieces were a bit undercooked. I was visiting Chandigarh for work and people suggested this shop for fast food. Also it has been featured in multiple videos on YouTube. They need to be a bit more polite. The fast food joints which get famous don't deliver on the customer service front and this place is definitely not an exception
Ashish S — Google review
The Food is so good here that it sees a huge rush. Despite thay, the system is well managed. One can get their orders quickly. It took me 10 min to get my orders. I am posting pictures below. Food Quality: 5 star ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🌟 Order/ Delivery time : 10-15 min at most peak time Innovative idea of using Leaf Bowl : Excellent 👌 Parking space near by: 4 star (You will find your ways somehow for ☑️) Cost - ₹₹ (No business is impossible to break for Indians 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳 Serves Indian Food that suits are taste buds. If you're exploring the vibrant culinary scene of Chandigarh, you simply cannot miss "Kaaku - Maasad Chole Bhature Kadhi-Rajma Chawal Vaala." This iconic dish features fluffy, deep-fried bhature paired with a rich and spicy chickpea curry known as chole.

Food is ok ok... Ok for a quick snack... Need some cleanliness as lots of house flies hovering over & sitting on food... Naan Pedas are always uncovered.. stool & sitting tables are dirty & broken... There is a govt. Hospital canteen adjacent wall of the shastri market, there you can have a thaali, Daal, sabji, 4 roti & rice for Rs. 60/- only with proper sitting.
Paramjit S — Google review
It is nothing like as mentioned all along via photos and reviews. It is purely a table setup on the road side selling rice chole and chole kulcha. Unhygienic, untidy and weird ambience. I can't recommend this place
Advocate R — Google review
Food was as good as i expected but the staff was not polite enough to put a smile on his face while taking orders or servicing the table. And the atmosphere there was quite crowded.

South Indian restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Coffee shop
Indian Coffee House, with multiple locations in Chandigarh, has gained popularity for its authentic South Indian cuisine. It is particularly renowned for its breakfast options, including masala dosa, mutton dosa, and iddly. The place is always bustling with customers due to its reasonable prices and delicious South Indian dishes. If you're a fan of strong hot coffee and crave a taste of the south in the north, this is the place to be!
They have the best filter coffee, best omelette, best cutlets, best dosa, and best sandwich—everything tastes amazing! The food is always served nicely, and the vibe is superb. I really love the traditional dress of the staff—it gives a special touch to the place. The staff is always smiling and very kind. The place is also clean and well-kept every time I visit.
Harjot S — Google review
Visit this place for the nostalgia and good feels and not exactly for food taste. Food is budget friendly but may not be tasty for every palette. cold coffee is overloaded with sugar. Dosa was decent. Omelette was greasy but taste was good. Also expect some waiting time if visiting on a weekend.
Devyani K — Google review
Indian coffee house is situated near neelam theatre sector 17 chandigarh. This place is neat and clean view of the sector is clearly visible. This place is serving tasty south indian dishes at nominal prices The staff is well trained professional & polite Management is also good. Usually this place is full and it's hard to get a seat here as mostly senior citizens are sitting they are having coffee etc and are enjoying their old memories. Some people from mncs and other companies are also seen here doing their official work etc That's why management has displayed a board where they had written please don't...... picture enclosed Over all this is a nice place Enclosing a few pictures for your reference

Indian Coffee House is a classic! The food is well-priced and tastes great – their masala dosa and cold coffee are must-tries. The place gives you those nostalgic 90s vibes with its old-school charm. Service is usually fast, though it can get a bit crowded on weekends. Like any busy spot, the taste can sometimes be inconsistent, but overall it’s a reliable and memorable experience.

Nestled in the bustling Sector 17 of Chandigarh, Sindhi Sweets is a delightful haven for food enthusiasts and sweet lovers alike. This charming eatery offers an extensive array of traditional Indian dishes alongside a tempting selection of sweets that will make your taste buds dance with joy. From North Indian to South Indian flavors, as well as Chinese and Continental options, there's something for everyone here. The star attraction at Sindhi Sweets is undoubtedly its impressive variety of desserts.
Visited after a decade and was revisiting the good old memories when we ate here everyday Loved the food today, thoroughly enjoyed the paneer butter masala and breads along The chole bhature was light n tasty The chaat tho wasnt that exciting Tikki lacked flavours Bhalla was basic too Lassi was ok ok The chana barfi was delicious and so was chhena murki But the mathi was average Love the almond based cookies. Superb Lovely set up and the outlet looks good. Overall gud experience
Gunjan H — Google review
There were a lot of Indian dessert varieties to choose from. It's a pity they don't allow to take pictures and videos inside. I was stopped midway when inwas taking videos so I could show my wife what are the available choices. It would have been good marketing opportunity to let their customers share in social media. Restaurant was full when I went in. I guess their food is that good to be filled by customers. Their sweets are excellent. Though i find the sweetend nuts to be too soft. It has lost its crunchiness. I was expecting it to be caramelised. Sweet coating outside crunchy in the inside. Overall their sweets are highly recommended.
John B — Google review
One of the oldest and most renowned sweet shops in the tri-city area is located in the prominent 17 sector. This establishment also boasts a restaurant that offers an impressive variety of dishes. The ambiance is cozy and perfectly lit. I had the bhatura and onion dosa, and it undeniably satisfied my taste buds.
TraVeLAsTic — Google review
I have visited this place after 5-6 years, have got sweet memories of this place. The decor now is better. Taste is as good as before, tried Dahi Papdi. There was live singing this evening, and singer was having soulful voice. He made the evening better. Over all I liked the old vibes more than current one, may be because that time there was limited options and this restaurant was like undisputed king. Still owners has kept the soul of the place alive.

Good food. Well priced. Quick service. Friendly staff. Faluda kulfi and milk badam must try
Ishita S — Google review
The dining area had all the kitchen fumes , no exhaust , too noisy place with zero hygiene . Food is served in poor scratched melanine black cutlery. The kids zone was extremely dirty with dirty floor mats to dirtiest swings. Photos attached of every statement being made by me . The food tasted so bad . The uttapam was too salty and not at all tasting like uttapam so was the case with hard idlis. There was poor customer service . Very less waiters nd staff to cater to you . Half the menu was not available including very basic like coffee .
Rippy M — Google review
Food was ok..The taste could have been better but still u can enjoy eating here if ur visiting sector 17 market for shopping..Dine in options are less at sector 17 market..For better food and dine in experience u can go to Sagar ratna which is just 100 metres from Sindhi sweets..
Abhishek N — Google review
Sindhi Sweets is a well-known name in Chandigarh when it comes to traditional Indian sweets, snacks, and authentic North Indian food. With multiple outlets across the city, it’s a go-to place for families, especially during festivals and celebrations. The variety here is impressive – from classic mithai like Kaju Katli, Gulab Jamun, Rasgulla, and Rasmalai to freshly prepared namkeens and snacks like samosas, kachoris, and chaat. The quality of the sweets is consistently good, with a balance of richness and freshness that makes them perfect for gifting as well. Apart from sweets, Sindhi Sweets also serves North Indian thalis, South Indian dishes, street food, and even light snacks like sandwiches and dosas. Their chaat counter is especially popular for its tangy flavors. The seating area is spacious and family-friendly, though it can get crowded during peak hours, especially in the evenings and on weekends. The service is usually quick, but during rush times, you might need a little patience. The prices are slightly on the higher side compared to local sweet shops, but the quality and hygiene make it worth it. Best for: • Buying sweets for festivals or gifts 🎁 • Family dinners or weekend outings 🍽️ • Quick snacks and chaat cravings 🌮 Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.2/5)

American restaurant

Brooklyn Central is a New York-inspired casual dining spot located in the spacious Elante Mall. The restaurant features a stylish American dining room with an industrial warehouse vibe, offering traditional comfort classics and diner food reminiscent of classic American institutions. With its simple decor and laid-back, casual vibes, it's the perfect place to catch up with friends over drinks or enjoy a milkshake after a shopping spree.
Brooklyn Central never fails to impress! Whether it’s a casual brunch, evening catch-up, or weekend dinner, every visit feels like the best time. The ambiance is urban and cozy, with upbeat music and a warm, welcoming vibe. Their wood-fired pizzas are a must-try — perfectly crisp with rich toppings that burst with flavor. The pastas, salads, and small plates are equally delicious and thoughtfully plated. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always makes you feel at home. The cocktails and coffee are top-notch, making it a great spot for both foodies and casual diners. If you're looking for a place that offers great food, chill vibes, and consistent service, Brooklyn Central delivers every time. It’s one of those places where memories are made over good food and laughter. Highly recommended for anyone in the mood for a relaxed and flavorful outing!

One of the best places which serves great quantity of food along with the best quality. The food portions are sufficient for two people and they taste great as well. My recommendations would be to go for 3 cheese alfredo pasta, red velvet cake along with any pizza. The ambience is great too. An amazing place if you want to dine out with your family or friends. It is a must visit if you're in elante. Update - they are running 1 + 1 on a special menu on Monday and Tuesday. We tried burrito bowl, its was really good.

Great ambience, great place to sit and talk while you sip their amazing drinks. Food is also great, very tasteful and gorgeously served. The only downside I experienced was the service was really slow, I don't know if that was something that everyone experiences or only happened with us.Love the food, the ambiance. Their Lasagna is a must try, and though I am a vegetarian and I Loved it immensely and even their spinach rice with assorted grilled veggies are a must try. Burger was also simply amazing..!! If you ever in Chandigarh, you must visit this place esp the one in Elante..!!Absolutely brilliant food.. amazing location and a great end to a very exhausting day while in Chandigarh... do visit once and relish the magic in the hands of Chef Veer Goswami... 1200 for a meal for two minus any alcohol and came back with a big smile on my face.

Had an amazing time here! The food was absolutely delicious. The Spicy Veggie Sandwich was packed with flavor, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice. The Spaghetti Aglio e Olio was simple yet satisfying, with a wonderful garlic kick and just the right amount of seasoning. To top it off, the Masala Tea was the perfect warm, aromatic drink to complement the meal. The atmosphere was truly the highlight of the experience – cozy, welcoming, and vibrant. Whether you're looking for a relaxing meal or a lively spot to hang out, this place has it all. Highly recommend for anyone in the area!

Brothers Amritsari Kulcha Hub is a popular spot in Chandigarh known for its traditional Punjabi dishes, particularly the hot and crispy Amritsari Kulcha served with spicy Chole and tangy tamarind chutney. The place is often crowded, especially on weekends, but waiting can be made enjoyable with a cup of masala chai. The stuffed kulchas come in various fillings like paneer, aloo, and mixed vegetables to cater to different tastes.
Delivering tasty kulchas - we had onion chur chur, aloo pyaz, cheese and gobi kulcha - all tasted delicious! Served with chole, chutney and amul butter. Maybe not exactly like the amritsari kulchas, but still, a good place 👍
Dipin S — Google review
I went there with my friend and i had very bad experience with kulcha and chutney, they are serving chutney like mixing red chilli powder and onion with water and chole taste was not good it seems like boiling chana and serve to the customer. They are using Amritsari kulcha as a name but they don’t know the actual taste of Amritsari kulcha. Totally disappointed
Harish K — Google review
It’s like a food court where you’ll order and eat. There are many more places too. I ordered special aloo chur chur kulcha/ naan. It was good. They serve it along with chole and imli khatti chutney. Do try if you are in Chandigarh!!
RUTVIK D — Google review
Exceptionally good food but seating experience is ordinary. In summers, the the coolers & fans blow away the provided paper cutlery. Customers should be served with either plastic or steel utensils that don't blow away while they eat. It really hampered my experience as the paper containers flew away & even made people sitting adjacent to me wondering if i was deliberately doing it. This is something that can be easily worked on and addressed right away. I tried Onion as well as Mix Veg Kulcha. I liked the latter more as onion kulcha felt very basic compared to it.

Recently visited here for trying some kulchas. We tried the paneer garlic chur chur kulcha with lassi. The lassi was good and same for kulcha. Service js good, kind of them to keep a cooler in this scorching heat. Great initiative. Loved the experience.

Excellent service, very delicious kulcha, it is definitely worth the hype. I have been coming here since years and the taste has been same as always. The best point is the quality and taste of the kulcha, I will recommend aloo chur chur naan and lassi. I am in love with their service, always Mr.Vikas, and other staff help in enhancing the experience always.Their chole and chutney are outstanding. Anyone coming to chandigarh must visit this.

I recently visited Amritsari Kulcha, located behind the BP petrol pump in Sector 9, Chandigarh, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The quality of the kulcha served was far below expectations—arguably one of the poorest I’ve had in the tricity area. In fact, I’ve had much better taste and authenticity from local roadside vendors. This establishment claims to offer Punjabi cuisine, yet it seems to lack the cultural and culinary understanding required to deliver true Punjabi flavors. It is evident that there is no Punjabi representation in the kitchen or management, which reflects in the preparation and presentation of the food. In all sincerity, I would recommend others to explore alternative options, including trusted roadside stalls, for a more genuine Punjabi food experience.

Visited on 28.09.2025 with wife. Found running in Unhygienic conditions, parked vehicle. 5-6 blue plastic drums were lying besides dhaba for used plates etc, were full of bad smell. Shown to person managing counter. He agreed. Horrible!!!! Though food was tasty. They have another booth besides Ch Exp - making Chanas in big Kadae, which was very dirty from both outside/inside, place was being used as godown, totally filthy conditions, nobody wore gloves, apprehensions of customer may fell ill on consuming in such worst conditions, full encroachment in parking area giving very bad impression of much hyped concept of “City Beautiful” seems hands in glove. Authorities. Should conduct surprise checking, especially on Sunday & shoul stop bad practices. Bill was not given, evasion (though no clear proof) must be checked.

Nik Bakers, a renowned bakery chain in Chandigarh, is known for its exceptional quality and variety of bakery products. They offer a wide range of items including fresh bread such as linseed, multigrain, ciabatta, rye, and sunflower varieties.
Nik Baker's have heard a lot about it from my North Indian fans. This was my opportunity to try it for myself. The place has great ambience and it in itself is quite welcoming. They have a really big and extensive menu. Not sure if I have seen such a big menu at an Cafe like place before. We tried a bunch of things from a sandwich to Thai curry. Loved the veggie dog. Also, the chicken quesadilla was quite good. Coffee was also freshly brewed. All in all it was a great experience. Would love to try more of the menu again. The customer service was also great and the place was quite neat and clean. Though I would say everything is on the expensive side which can be adjusted a bit but not that bad.
Dhruvraj R — Google review
Nik Bakers never fails to impress with its delightful offerings. The Ginger Honey Tea and Pita Herb Chips were exceptional in taste and quality. This outlet holds a special place for me as it’s where I first experienced the brand, and it’s now a must-visit every time I’m in Chandigarh. However, there are a few areas for improvement. Some items list "0 sugar" under nutritional information, but the ingredients mention sugar, which creates confusion. It would also be great if they expanded their range of sugar-free products, perhaps using alternatives like stevia. Despite these points, the overall experience remains enjoyable and satisfying.
Kapil V — Google review
We stopped by this place during our Himachal road trip and wanted to give it a try after checking the big posters and a lot of hype. Place held the hype for us. Good coffee, very very good veg puff and a decent sourdough sandwich made us happy. :) You should give it a try. They have tried to modify the flavours as per local palette.
Bhawana S — Google review
Honestly, we felt nik bakers a bit overrated for the price point. The ambience is decent but nothing that really justifies the hype. Sandwich was kind of bland in between because of the paneer slice – would’ve been way better if they cut it into smaller pieces. Nachos were just okay. The pizza had a nice smoky flavour, but we personally didn’t enjoy the tomato chunks on it. Overall, not that bad but definitely expected more in terms of both taste and value.
Abhinay R — Google review
First time into the cafe and tried several items, mocha and salted caramel latte were good. Chicken quiche, chicken quesadilla, and chicken croissant were really dry and lacked flavor. Chicken mustard sandwich was good (it had a lot of sauce) and chocolate praline cake was good as well. Seating was great for a get to get together with friends. Maybe we just had a bad day as far as the food goes based on the other reviews.
Maddie — Google review
We have had the sandwiches from this outlet today I would love to share this episode because it's a memorable moment for us. We were hungry and in a hurry we bought sandwiches to go. Cost around 300 rupees approx as we took the first bite we found the brown bread is stale the sides of bread was super hard and tastes bitter. I ran back to the store just because we were in the parking lot. The security guy told me sir please stop this is not allowed, I thought he was Saying that outside food is not allowed so i show him the bill and the label of nik bakers, he replied sir please give the sandwich to me and i will call someone here please don't go to the counter "like i am going there to create a scene". I told him with a smile I just want to talk and that's it. Still he follows me to the counter.. What the hell was that? If a customer comes back to your outlet with food you just sold, simply to give feedback or raise a complaint is that how you handle it? at the counter I told the staff its tastes stale the sides are very hard. "The one at the counter offer me a replacement" I told him to check it first. what if it is also similar to the one we had it's definitely stale. Later on he check the both sandwiches the ones we lipped/bit on and the other one he told me its perfectly fine sir just by touching it and asked the manager what to do the manager said the same it's totally fresh. I told him if you are giving a replacement please heat it up otherwise it's okay. But what he done he took those sandwiches the ones we lipped put it in the oven and heat it up 🤣 after that maybe he grilled it as well. Because our sandwiches does have that texture of grill on both side Honestly 30-40 Rupees brown bread from the market that has around 14 to 16 slices approx tastes better, softer and fresh than their 300 rupee for 2 slices. Besides that we are so impressed by the hygiene level they maintained How can someone do that.. "Quote of the day - once you pay us money its not allowed to bring it back to us - nik bakers"
Theindianghost — Google review
My recent experience was disappointing. It seems they've significantly decreased the portion sizes while simultaneously increasing prices. To add to the frustration, the plates were old and visibly dirty. It's a shame, as the quality used to be much better

If you're wandering through Chandigarh, make sure to indulge in the iconic Amritsari Kulcha, a beloved staple of Punjabi cuisine. This delightful stuffed bread hails from Amritsar and is celebrated for its crispy texture and rich fillings. You can find an array of options, including classic potato kulcha, paneer kulcha, and even gobhi (cauliflower) kulcha at various eateries throughout the city.
I ordered 2 kulchas at home but 1 Kulcha was fully burnt (Check photo). I reported it to the owner & Customer service was super good that he delivered me full order again at home & quality was what it usually delivers (Check photo). So, For Customer service, I'll give 5 Star to the shop.

Absolutely outstanding experience! I ordered Amritsari kulchas for home delivery as I had an early morning flight and wanted to carry something delicious for the journey. The owner personally confirmed my order and graciously assured doorstep delivery. On the day of my travel, he himself delivered the food, which was packed perfectly—making it effortless to carry along. The kulchas were incredibly flavorful and fresh. Thank you so much for not just serving amazing food, but also for genuinely caring about your customers’ needs and going above and beyond to ensure convenience. Highly recommended!

Have been eating Amritsari Kulchas from here from 4 years . As off today they have started many new deliciouses bhature chole & Pai bhaji & few more . There Amritsari Kulcha taste is pretty good but taste of chole has been changed this year ,before it was spicy and thick ,now they made thin gravy with very lite spices. I also tried bhature chole & too my surprise chole served with bhature are different from the one served with Amritsari Kulcha. The chole served with bhature are thick and full of spicyness and flavour. Loved it Amritsari paneer Kulcha 9/10 Amritsari chole. 7/10 Bhature 9/10 Chole 10/10 Do check the pics ,

Saffron is a fine dining restaurant that pays homage to the flavors of the North West frontier region, particularly the pre-partition Punjab. It aims to recreate the culinary magic of that era, offering succulent kebabs, rara muttons, tandoori chickens, and various vegetarian delights.
Saffron - JW Marriott. They have kept their reputation for a reason. Very well maintained property. The interiors are very serene and beautiful. The food at the Saffron is delicious. The staff is very well behaved and polite. Had an amazing time here. Celebrated my mother's bday here. It was worth the decision. Made it memorable for our family! Thank you for that! :)

I had made a dine in reservation at Saffron for dinner for my Birthday, then I was denied the dine in offer for the chef’s curated menu after being told about terms and conditions. But just a month ago I had availed the same offer for chefs curated menu for my Parents Wedding anniversary and it was good but why was it denied on my birthday. Had I not have been given an offer earlier or just would have even got a confirmation or proper explanation prior to my arrival time, it would’ve been okay. Also the waiter didn’t seem to be bothered after I informed of my disappointment and so i walked away to another hotel. The problem was not with the money or the terms and conditions but with the fact that i felt cheated by the restaurant and felt heavily disappointed as it was a special day for me. It only takes one moment to shatter the trust and guess this was it for me.

Visited Saffron on the recommendation of colleagues. It was an excellent choice. We selected both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian set menus and agreed this was a great way to sample the dishes. The kitchen has an open plan area where you can see the dough and the coated skewers going into large tandoors. The food that comes out is fabulous - skilfully spiced and full of fresh baked flavour. Fish, soy and chicken starters were the stars. Service is professional and discrete. A well known singer performed while we ate. Mostly it added to the ambience, although it could be a little loud at times.

Had a fantastic meal at Saffron. Chef Jatinder Singh was exceptional, and he took personal care to ensure that we were very comfortable. I've rarely seen this level of personal service anywhere. The food is outstanding as well.

The dishes were good but was not worth the price of Rs 3000. There wasn't many variety and the hospitality was lacking... Earlier our thought was to go for a`la-carte but individual dishes were about 800 rs each, so thought better to go for buffet. In buffet, there were both vegetation and non-vegetarian. Both were equal in number. 3 snacks, 1 soup, 3 live session (in our case pasta, chaat, gol gappe), 1 rice variety, 3 vegetable dishes, 2 types of chappati, 3 types of salad, 3 types of cheese, 5-6 types of cake, 3 types of ice cream, 4 types of sweets. There was no cold-drink, tea or coffee. It was on extra price.

Excellent restaurant. Always been our favorite!! Prawns Dimsum, Crispy Lamb, Hakka chicken noodles were all 10/10 Best Chinese restaurant hands down in the city beautiful. Will be back!! Feedback on Wine: we hope someone can fix the wine selection so one can order a nice wine. We looked at a Rs 12,000 ($150) Campo Viejo 2021 Rioja / rated a mere mediocre 3.7 star on Vivino available for $8 internationally with a MSRP in Rupees of 1,554 ($18). Felt 8x mark up from local pricing for an ordinary and poor rated wine was illogical. Why would anyone pay $150 + almost 30% and not even be wowed by a great wine say that costs 40 Euro. Note that this was the second best red of the menu!! Food was impeccable and service was wonderful. Met the chef and expressed our gratitude on great food we had. We also enjoyed Shruti's singing. Excellent choice of songs and great voice!!

Black Lotus has recently opened its door after a brief haitus for a couple of months. The interiors have been overhauled and the menu has undegone a complete revamp for the better. The Menu has been intelligently desinged. All the Veg Starters are pegged at the same price of Rs. 575 and for Non Veg it is Rs. 675. It's the same for the Veg Main Dishes at Rs. 575 while the Non Veg dishes stand at Rs. 775. These prices are extremely affordable and Pocket Friendly and no less than a treat as its a Five Star. We began our evening with Asparagus, Haricot Beans and Corn Soup which was delectable. For Drinks we had Pinee Peach (Peach and Pineapple Juice), Mango Marina (Mango Puree' and twist of mint, Sweet and Sour - this was a complete Winner and a must try), Guava Marry, Watermelon Reference (Watermelon, Lime and Pomegranate Juice), Apple Ryder (Apple Juice with the hint of Smoky Cinnamon), Flavoured Jasmine Tea, Sichuaniska (Mixture of Sichuan Sauce with a hint of Pepper). Moving to Starters we had Mushroom & Bamboo Shoots Salad, Lemon Grass Prawn, Pan Fried Lamb Dim Sum, Grilled Sesame Tofu (comes with a Live Flaming Grill, Must try for the Vegetarians). Each dish was fresh, unique and stood out. Then came the Peking Duck which deserves a speical mention as it a whole meal in itself. Chef Wong came to our table and carved the Roasted Duck right in front us. It is quite a ceremony to watch the Carving of the Peking Duck. The Duck is then served as (a) Roasted Duck Pancakes served with classical accompaniments, (b) Duck Soup and (c) Stir Fried Duck. This is a signature Black Lotus Dish and a must try. We were in for a treat with another signature Black Lotus dish i.e. The Hot Pot.This is a prepare your own Soup/Broth where all the fresh ingredients (Seafood Broth with Prawns, Sole Fish Slices, Chinese Vegetables and Noodles) are placed on the table with a Live simmering Water to Prepare the broth according to your liking. This was a big hit amongst everyone. Moving to the Main Course we had Barbeque Pork Belly (the best Pork Ribs in the tricity hands down, the pork melts in your mouth and the sweet meat is a delicacy, must try), Steamed Fish with Black Bean Sauce (The Black Bean Sauce with the Black Pepper seeds creates a unique flavour), Chicken with Toban Djan Sauce, Egg Plant with Spicy Bean Sauce (I'm not an Eg plant fan but this dish has the capability to compete with the best of Non Veg preparations), Mung Bean Pan Cake with Chicken, Clay Pot Jasmine Rice with Tofu (extremely good), Bok Choy & Vegetables, Egg Wrapped Flat Noodles (Full points on the presentation as the Rice/Noodles come wrapped in an Omlette much like an Egg) with Vegetables and Chicken. Moving to Desserts we had Lava Cake (treat for the senses), Clove Traingle Pineapple with Sweet Chili & Coconut Milk (quite good), Vanilla Ice Cream. I am Bowled over by the Black Lotus Taj experience. I Love finding faults and I'm glad to admit here I found none. A full 5/5 from me. Go and experience the new Black Lotus for yourself.

Attended the Chinese new year feast few days ago. They had a variety of appetizers, main course dishes that did justice to the celebration of the new year. Black lotus is best place for trying seafood. I loved the grilled pomfret, oats prawn, sliced chicken with chilli and vodka. In the main course, I loved the chicken, squid and manchurian. Other items were good too though.they also serve a mango based palate cleanser before the main course which is amazing. Lastly, we were served dutch truffle chocolate cake with bitter chocolate sauce.

Visiting a place where we get a memorable and exciting experience is like a wish come true. I recently visited The Taj and had some of the best dishes at their restaurant. Their Asian style chilly chicken which was cooked with coriander, red chilli offcourse and some spring onion, is a must have. The chicken was so tender and juicy and the spring onions complimented the coriander perfectly. The Asian style vegetables had fried brocolli, baby corn cooked with chili sauce. Really fresh and steaming veggies tasted amazing with perfect amount of seasonings. The Veg Dimsums which had a filling of spinach, garlic and cheddar cheese was something that I still crave for. Soft and juicy with perfectly seasoned filling. The Chicken hot pot made my visit their a worthwhile. It had sliced chicken with Chinese vegetables and noodles steaming in chicken broth. For the dessert part, I tried the Lava cake and the Date pancake. Because pancakes arent just for breakfast! It is my personaly favourite!

The Chinese cuisine at Taj has to be talked about as soon as possible! Ever since I have set on my quest to find great food, it was seldom that the big beautiful restaurants were able to satisfy the hunger I had for good food, I was proved wrong. The food is hits the right chords at the right places while the hospitality is everything I never knew I needed. The interiors aren’t loud and gently whisper in your ear the story of great food to come; and it does come indeed! For appetizer or the Amuse Bouche, we were served Cucumber, gari, basil and asparagus and oh man did it tickle the right places in my stomach! I was more than ready for the food to come! The soup had a nice savoury flavor and felt so right in my mouth. The starters were as perfect as they looked. We got: Kanjee Fried Shitake Wok Tossed lotus stem in hot black bean sauce Pan fried fish with ginger and coriander Chicken tai chin Unbelievably amazing! The herbs and the spices were right everywhere! The Main course had us right by our gullet and we never wanted it to stop coming! Beautiful preparation and equally well tasting food. For main course we had: Mapo Tofu Eggplant Haricot beans and fresh chilli ginger Panfried cheese greens Stir fried chicken with toban dijan sauce Wok fried fish with fresh chili oyster sauce Ginger fried rice Vegetable hakka noodles And a melange of pineapple chocolate brownie and vanilla ice cream for dessert And yes I tried it all! There is no word to describe my experience as it all was beyond what I thought it could be. I just want them to continually and constantly keep up the quality of the food. Special shout out to Mohit with his great hospitality and his amazing way of pouring the soul stirring Jasmine tea! A serious 5 star to Taj and an all the best from my side!

Great place for early birds looking for a good breakfast menu — the food quality and ambiance are definitely impressive. However, the prices are on the higher side; ₹300 for a cup of tea feels a bit too steep. Still, it’s worth visiting once in a while for the overall experience and early opening hours.

Had a wonderful breakfast at Backpackers Cafe and was thoroughly impressed! I ordered the Veg Baguette, Pita Tacos, Cold Coffee, and Cappuccino, and everything was spot on—fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The baguette had the perfect texture, the tacos were deliciously filling, and both coffees were well-balanced and satisfying. The ambiance added to the experience—warm, lively, and perfect for a relaxed meal. The service was friendly and efficient, making the visit even more enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d return to for another great meal. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality breakfast spot!

Lovely cafe in Chandigarh! Coffee and food was great, with really big servings. I loved the decor and atmosphere of the cafe which has been thought out well. Quite a large cafe that can host big groups or solo travellers. Service was phenomenal and it seems they are really striving to give customers a new dining experience. Clean toilet and parking close by.

Visited Backpackers Cafe recently. The food was tasty – I tried the pitabuilt, grilled chicken pizza, and coffee, all of which were amazing. However, the entire experience was ruined by the arrogance and ill treatment of the waiter, John Kim. He neither served properly nor even gave water despite asking. It felt extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. Would have loved to visit again for the food, but such rude behaviour makes me rethink coming here in the future.

We enjoyed this place very much: very good menu with different choices, good portions, good quality of food and beverage, quick service. The restaurant itself is very nice with different pictures on the wall about various places in the world. Prices a little higher than other places in India but average for similar places in Chandigarh. We had eggs benedict with salmon, fresh joitucds and coffees: all delicious and filling!

Very disappointed with the "classic omelette" that sounded so nice on paper but in reality was one of the most basic and uninteresting breakfasts I've had in India. It didn't taste like any of the ingredients it boasted. Poor value for money - I don't recommend it. However, their pancakes are yummy and the waffle was fantastic.

I absolutely loved the food at this restaurant in Chandigarh, Sector 35. Every dish was delicious and full of flavor — you can really tell they use fresh ingredients. The place is always bustling with people, and there’s almost always a line to get a table, which just shows how popular it is. The staff is polite and attentive, and the atmosphere is lively yet comfortable. If you’re looking for a place with great food and a good vibe, this is definitely worth the wait! I can’t wait to go back.

I recently visited Oven Fresh and had a great experience. I tried their Garden Fresh Pizza, Alfredo Penne Pasta, and Chicken Sizzler, and all three were amazing! The pizza was full of fresh veggies and had a delicious cheesy flavor. The pasta was creamy and tasty, just perfect. And the chicken sizzler was hot, flavorful, and very filling. Everything tasted really fresh and well-made. If you love good food, you should definitely give Oven Fresh a try. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

We tried four seasons vegetarian pizza it was good recommended to try it. Then we had bbq chicken pasta highly recommended to try it if you are cheese lover. Then we tried mushroom corn cheese pesto sandwich. The portion of sandwich was less comparatively to other dishes but sandwich too good also would highly recommend this to try it out. We had drinks of three different iced tea 1- lemon 2-peach 3-mango According to me i would only suggest to go for peach iced tea only.

So we reached around 6:00 PM at got entry around 6:30. You can order before entering to the cafe as minimum waiting time for order to deliver at your table is 20mins. Timing may increaseor decrease depending upon your order and its variety. (FunFact: We were at table 7 #thala for a reason😉). As we got all the ordered food between 7:00 PM to 7:13 PM. We ordered following: 1. Garlic bread Mushroom garlic 2. White sauce pasta 3. Garden fresh pizza 11 inches 4. Chicken tikka Cresent sandwich 5. Cold coffee 6 Mango Iced tea 7. Caramel cold coffee ( more like vietnam iced coffee) All in all food tasted well which compensate all our waiting time. Mushroom cheese Garlic bread most recommended.

One of the best. No match Takes 20 min minimum for order as it's cooked fresh. Keep this in mind before eating here. As almost all dishes have cheese, one can't come here too frequently as one gets cheese aversion. Bruschetta platter was too good. Baked penne arrabiata was good. If one doesn't like too much cheese, then try non baked penne arrabiata. It's a red sauce based pasta. I always find their tiramisu average. Their breads are the best, whatever dish u take with

A good cosy cafe. It's a nice place to hangout with your close knit circle. They've terrace seating as well as basement seating. You can choose whatever you like. There are variety of food options,in non veg. If you're an animal eater, you can opt for so much. I didn't find much veg options. There but limited. I guess they can be creative with the menu. Apart from that there should be some snack options too. Apart from maida, chineese There must be some north indian stuff too or some street crispy bites. We had kathi roll and chana kulcha. Both were okay. Not so wow menu and food. The staff is exceptionally awesome and well behaved. They're ethical too. The ambiance is good too. Thanks.

The food was great in my opinion, worthy of 4 stars. But the tiramisu was the show stopper. It was one of the best tiramisu’s I’ve ever had! So I slipped in an extra star for food. The service was mediocre, not good, not bad. The atmosphere was as if I were in small coffee shop (but bigger) in Italy waiting for my espresso. The restaurant had a warm and homely atmosphere, great for not too big families!

I only go to Cafe Sicily for one thing: the tiramisu, and it’s absolutely fantastic. Easily the best I’ve had anywhere. The portion has gotten smaller over time, but it’s still perfect for two people looking to share something light and sweet. Ram Chaat Bhandar, fondly known as "Ambala wale," is a renowned street food destination situated at Sector 34C, Chandigarh. This establishment has garnered a loyal following for its authentic and flavorful Indian street delicacies, making it a must-visit for both locals and tourists. The menu boasts a variety of chaats, with the aloo tikki and golgappas (pani puri) being standout items. Patrons can indulge in 6-7 distinct flavors of golgappa water, offering a unique tasting experience. The paan patta chaat has also received accolades for its crispiness and lightness. While the eatery lacks formal seating arrangements, it provides takeaway services, making it convenient for quick bites. Despite the frequent crowds, especially during peak hours, the staff is known for their efficiency and accommodating nature. The offerings are reasonably priced, with most items around ₹70, providing excellent value for money considering the quality and taste. However, some have noted the lack of seating and occasional hygiene concerns as areas for improvements. Ram Chaat Bhandar offers a quintessential Chandigarh street food experience. Despite minor limitations like limited seating, the delectable offerings and efficient service make it a worthwhile visit for chaat enthusiasts.

They serve some really good chaat and related items. I had dahi golgappe, chaat, lachchha chaat (on separate days). All were superb. The quality of ingredients is top notch. The taste is superb as well. The prices are 60 rupees for all items. Normal price for Chandigarh type city. Despite the crowd they serve, they accommodate requests like not to put raw ginger on items. I think that's a big plus for a famous shop.

This is the first time trying pani puri/golgappa in India. I've had it in the states but this place was way better. I've already visited this place twice on my trip, I'd revisit in the future.

We tried a few different parathas: 1. Aloo Pyaz Paratha 2. Paneer Pyaz Paratha 3. Aloo Methi Paratha Honestly, they were some of the worst and most overpriced parathas I’ve ever had. We even paid extra for butter and raita. On top of that, there was a chutney that wasn’t even covered, making it look pretty unhygienic. The owner proudly called it a "unique chutney," but the bucket it came from looked like it hadn't been washed since the shop first opened.
Theindianghost — Google review
I was in tricity a couple of weeks back and drive to this place just because of its popularity... In all fairness the food was very nice, they serve both -- tawa parantha and tandoori paratha. I tried aloo pyaz tawa parantha along with raita, both were absolutely amazing. The service was quick and food came pretty quickly. Coming to the not so good part, there were flies buzzing all around and this is not a place where you would take your family to.

Looting customers by overcharging. Charged 830 for 9 aloo pyaz paratha and 1 raita. It’s not justifiable price when they have set inr 50 for 1 paratha. From the moment you walk in, the elegant ambiance sets the perfect tone for a memorable meal. The space is beautifully designed, offering a cozy yet refined atmosphere that makes it perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. The service was quick and attentive, with the staff ensuring that everything was just right without being intrusive. It was clear that customer satisfaction is a priority here.

I ordered food from Swiggy. I have ordered many times from Katani Mohali, but today by mistake I ordered from Katani Sector 22. The food was pathetic. Daal was stale and smelling bad. Paneer dish was just gravy and hardly 4-5 small pieces of paneer. Same for Manchurian Dry as it had only 4 manchurian pieces. I advise nobody to order from here and also this should be removed from Swiggy / Zomato. Nobody picks the call at the restaurant to listen to your complaint. They are simply playing with people's health just to earn some extra money by providing stale food.

Worst place. No sense they have. We went inside to have food and we sat there and started looking for items in menu. The girl there is so rude , she went inside when she saw us deciding the menu and told her co-workers ‘ ab nhi karna aur’ and came back and said that ‘order nhi hoga kitchen close hai’. When we went inside sat and everything then the kitchen was not closed now out of nowhere kitchen is closed. What else? She walked away with her food afterwards. I men’s this is how you treat your customers. Either treat properly or just close your restaurant. Recommendation to others-0 absolutely 0

This vibrant spot offers an array of delicious treats, making it a popular hangout for those looking to unwind. Among its standout offerings is the cheesy corn patty, which pairs perfectly with their refreshing lemon soda—a combination that has become iconic among regulars.

The cheese patty here is their best seller, and it's easy to see why! It’s crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and full of flavor. While it’s more mayo than cheese, it's still delicious and totally worth the price. The lemon soda is always fresh, fizzy, and perfectly balanced. Plus, the prices are very affordable, making this place a great spot for a tasty and budget-friendly snack👍

Matru Tikki Wala is a charming eatery nestled in sector 19 Chandigarh, offering an authentic and delightful street food experience. Visitors rave about the mouthwatering golgappe and pattal tikki, praising their exceptional taste and quality. The shop is likened to a mini food court, providing a variety of fulfilling food options. Additionally, patrons have enjoyed the excellent three-layered ice cream at this establishment.
It's like market place eatery shop and you can go for a filling meal here. I have been here multiple times and had panipuri, chowmein, chaap and everything was great. Post this you can visit Capital bakery for amazing Swiss rolls for desert.

Worst place to go. They are not using good quality raw materials for making dishes, I tried chole bhature, but the aalo sabji was the worst. The patato used was deteriorated. Also they are paying attention towards hygiene and atmosphere, all thighs are kept in open and are not covered. Also there is some foul smell. Will recommend not to visit this place.

Overall average experience. You need to search for your own space in an open seating system. Self service kinda thing. It's typical food joint so one should not expect quality and hospitality at this low price. It's your choice whether to go there or not.
Harish A — Google review
As the name of the shop suggests, Tikki is their best item, and that is what they are famous for. Don't order other types of cuisines which they are struggling to adapt and prepare. Having said that, when you are eating at roadside eating joint, you don't expect top notch service and quality. I also ordered red sauce pasta along with tikki, pasta was too spicy for my taste, so owner replaced it with white sauce pasta free of cost. 👍

Swagath stands out as a culinary gem in the bustling restaurant scene of Chandigarh, making it a go-to destination for families and food enthusiasts alike. With its elegant interiors and warm, inviting atmosphere, this establishment offers an exceptional dining experience that feels both sophisticated and homely. The menu is a delightful blend of North Indian and South Indian cuisines, showcasing authentic flavors that are sure to please any palate.
⸻ I always end up at Swagath whenever I visit Elante — because honestly, pasta and pizza just don’t sit well with me 😕😥. But their combo menu😋😊 Absolutely mast! I love it! ❤️ My family and I are obsessed with their Swagath dal, crispy corn, chilli cauliflower, biryani, khumb do pyaza, Manchurian, and that comforting ghar wali dal — total favourites! The ambiance is great, vibe is warm, and the quality & hygiene are top-notch. Highly recommend if you’re craving good food with desi , North Indian , Chinese flavours! 👌✨

Had a good dining experience at Swagath. The food was delicious. Service although good, could be improved. The ambience is pretty good. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality of food can justify the prices. Overall a nice lunch.
Aromal C — Google review
Swagath restaurant has lost its charm! During 2010 it used to be one of the best of the best. Chicken Hot & Sour soup was good. Never knew afgani chicken is all cooked in cream and white in color! Ordered Hyderabadi Biriyani but got the worst Moradabadi Biriyani! Prawan garlic noodles were all a disaster, tasteless, fried hard to chew prawns! The manager listened but said this is the only way they prepare Hyderabadi Biriyani, ridiculous! But he suggested some replacement, I asked for Alu Gobi masala & Butter nan which was good. Thanks to Mr Lawrence & Anil for their understanding but they need to be serious enough for the way they prepare the dishes. Hopefully they might be serving good south Indian delicacies!
Dr B — Google review
Had a great experience at Swagath. Great customer service, massive menu, not joking they literally have a huge booklet. Takes some time to think what one wants to order. Though everything was perfect. Ordered veg kebab, Afghani chicken and paneer makhani. All of it was just perfect. It's served, or self service whatever you prefer. The food is served in quick succession so you are not left waiting either. The only downside would be the prices, a single butter roti costs like rupees 65 which is quite high, which is something even the great taste can't justify. All in all a satisfying experience except for the hit on my wallet. A must try if you like high end restaurants. Would definitely love to try the other items on my next trip to North India.

The experience was far from satisfying. The food was below average, lacking both taste and quality. The service was utterly disappointing — slow, inattentive, and unprofessional. Given the overall experience, it definitely didn’t feel like value for money. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

It was a Saturday afternoon when we we visited Elante mall. Expectedly there was huge crowd there. More so in food court area. There were big lines on the counters of self service outlets and also long waiting for restaurants entrances. Fortunately for us, Swagath restaurant had a few tables available. We had visited Swagath restaurants at other locations including Madhya Marg, Sector 26, Chandigarh and we were sure of their food and service quality. We ordered Malai kofta and Dal makhani. The service was slow due to overcrowding but we got our food and came out happily.

Excellent taste....beats the most authentic Vada pav of even Mumbai....or a bit more authentic dabeli of Kolhapur...don't miss both....too good

In the busy street food lane of Sector 34 market, I stopped by this small eatery to try their classic Pav Bhaji. The taste was decent, though nothing extraordinary. I did not enjoy the chutneys they served on the side, but the portion was good, and the service was quick. It's one of those places where you stand and eat outside at small tables. Overall, it was a good, quick bite, but nothing too special to write home about.

The Cafe@JW in Chandigarh is a popular spot for non-vegetarian food enthusiasts. It offers a wide variety of cuisines including Italian, North Indian, Mughlai, Continental, American and Asian dishes. The buffet is particularly famous and includes an array of desserts like pancakes, pastries, and chocolate ice cream. Situated in the JW Marriott Hotel, this casual eatery provides a modern dining environment with impeccable service.
We went for their Valentine's Day dinner. The food was wonderful as always but the atmosphere was a cut above. The staff pulled out all the stops to make the hotel and restaurant feel very festive.

I went there for lunch on valentines. Massive buffet with delicious food. I'm a fan of their desserts especially blueberry cheesecake. It was yum!! I had pasta, Indian and veg kebabs, everything was exquisite. It was my third time visiting Marriott Chandigarh. The staff is really helpful and ambience is great. Neat and clean luxury property, very spacious. Extremely welcoming staff. Surely going to come back again.

Deeply Disappointed – Vegetarian Guests Deserve Better at JW Marriott Chandigarh We visited the dinner buffet at JW Marriott Chandigarh after a long gap, hoping the menu and taste would have improved over time. Unfortunately, we were proven wrong. Not only has the food quality remained subpar, but the overall experience—especially for vegetarians—was downright disappointing. Starters: While the selection was limited, some starters tasted decent. However, the crispy fried vegetables were soaked in oil, which made them almost inedible. Presentation and execution lacked finesse. Live Stations & Chinese Counter: The live stations were mediocre at best. The Chinese section was particularly underwhelming—noodles were half-cooked and lacked seasoning or structure. Salad Section – A Total Letdown: This was by far the worst part of the buffet. There were flies hovering over the salad counter, and the vegetables appeared dehydrated, almost like leftovers. Basic salad options like cucumbers, tomatoes, and fresh greens were shockingly missing. This is unacceptable at any restaurant, let alone at a five-star property. Main Course – A Vegetarian’s Nightmare: The biggest letdown remains the completely ill-conceived vegetarian main course. It felt like there was no thought or effort put into curating balanced or seasonal options. While the non-veg section offered biryani and better variety, the vegetarian section featured palak paneer (in peak summer)*, baingan sabzi, yellow dal, and steamed rice. Not a single regular or crowd-pleasing vegetarian dish was present—no vegetable pulao, no rich paneer dish, no north Indian classic that diners generally expect. It seemed as though vegetarians were deliberately ignored while planning the menu. Dessert Section: Thankfully, the dessert counter was the saving grace of the evening. A decent selection and taste that lived up to expectations. Service: Full credit to the courteous and ever-smiling service staff. They were attentive, warm, and ensured live station items were brought to the table promptly. Final Verdict: When you pay a premium price for a buffet at a reputed luxury hotel, the least you expect is balanced choices, hygiene, and quality. Sadly, JW Marriott Chandigarh has fallen short on almost every front—especially for vegetarian diners. This experience was not worth the cost, and we’re unlikely to return unless there is a serious overhaul in menu planning and quality control.
Rajan S — Google review
Had lunch at Café@JW Marriott Chandigarh with my family (8 people, ₹2000 per person) and honestly, the experience was quite disappointing. The food taste was below average—nothing felt fresh or flavorful, and it seemed like they didn’t want guests to eat much. Vegetarian options were very limited, and even those didn’t taste good. What really shocked us was the hygiene; some plates didn’t look properly washed, almost like they were just wiped with a cloth. Even the fruit section was oddly placed—so far away you had to stretch just to grab something. The only good part was the ambience, which was beautiful and classy, but when it comes to food, service, and overall value for money, it didn’t meet expectations at all.
Kiran S — Google review
Ambience is good ( although I feel AC should have been better ) but food is ok relative to the price paid. For two people , the bill was 6700 Rs with just one lime soda and one coke. Main attraction was sweets , otherwise chat and golgappa was below standard , nothing much for vegetarians. Almost every aisle had one item useless out of three . Salad counter was also not much variety. Overall, you are paying for the place ..
Harinder S — Google review
Went there for a dinner buffet Honestly, tasteless food, even redi ka food can be better From the vegetarian menu, Only dal bati churma & mango yogurt was worth having Service: You'll find no waiter around for 5 min straight. Ambience is great
Sawan's C — Google review
Dine at JW Café, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance ok ok, the service was good, and the spread at the buffet was nothing short of spectacular. A special mention goes to their Chaat Counter – bursting with flavors, freshness, and that perfect tangy-spicy balance. Every bite was great and expertly crafted. Biryani was excellent But what truly elevated the evening was the dessert section. A heartfelt thank you to Chef Vikash, whose specially curated desserts were a work of art – both in taste and presentation. Specially gratitude to Chef kamal for special curated chicken grilled. Highly recommended for anyone looking to indulge in a world-class buffet experience. I’ll definitely be back!

We enjoyed the non-veg and veg buffet; it was so yummy. And I gave 10/10 to their service. They were bringing food every minute. The manager and chef did mind-blowing work to serve. The Gola was so refreshing.

It was good and the ambience is also beautiful with a large sitting area. The Service and food quality is on top. But they need to slightly increase their starters.

I had one of the worst experiences I've ever had at this place. The service was painfully slow, the food was below average, and the staff’s attitude was shockingly rude and indifferent. From start to finish, everything about this visit was disappointing. It was a complete waste of time and money. I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone — 0 out of 10.
RaHul — Google review
I came here with four friends for dinner. Place was quite crowded as it was the weekend. Music was irritating and the furniture overall looked quite old. Tables were not cleaned properly and used plates were messed up all over the area. Non veg starters were mostly overcooked and gave burnt coke taste. The main course was good and the desserts were of average taste, especially all kulfi flavours were horrible. Overall I would rate it lower than other bbq nation outlets. They need to change their furniture and renovate. BBQ nation outlets in the Mohali area are a better option.

1. Dining at Barbeque Nation is a unique experience centered around the live grill concept. As soon as you're seated, a small charcoal grill is placed in the center of your table, ready for a continuous stream of starters. The variety is impressive, with everything from succulent prawns and chicken to grilled pineapple and paneer. The real fun lies in grilling the skewers to your liking and basting them with different sauces. 2. The staff are a huge part of the experience, constantly circling to replenish your grill and offering a seemingly endless supply of appetizers. This can be both a blessing and a curse; while the service is attentive, it can feel a little rushed if you're trying to savor the moment.

Went there for lunch, the ambience was fine, cleanliness was fine, but the food was bad, it was like prepared on local small dhaba, the most annoying thing was the behaviour of the waiters, they didn't listen to anyone, we called them them 2-3 times but they ignored after watching, when I confronted a waiter he said the captain has asked them not to listen to people just serve the food, we had to bring napkins and extra bowls from counter by ourselves. It was my worst experience on any restaurant in chandigarh. I won't recommend anyone to visit gopal's.

In addition to its buffet system, Mainland China also offers an extensive selection of Chinese teas with rejuvenating aromas and flavors.
What a fine dine when you are in mood of Chinese or Thai food. Been here twice in a month now, on different days of the week, so can comment on the service, quality, quantity. Weekend dinners are usually crowded so would recommend you to make a reservation before you go. When I went on a Friday evening, people were waiting. I had made the reservation from the google "reserve a table" option. Talking about the service part: It's exceptional. Food was served quickly, staff was quick to change plates between starters and main course and staff was there to serve each dish and welcomed every feedback. Talking about quality, the dishes I have tried chicken dishes only. Fresh and juicy chicken. Unable to remember the dishes by name. Will update the review next time I visit. Quantity: For two people you can feel satisfied with one starter, one main course dish (chicken + Noodles of your choice). Price point: Without drinks, We got a bill of 900 for two people which I would say is pretty affordable.

After placing the regional food of Calcutta on the Culinary map of India, Oh! Calcutta made its way to the gourmet city of Chandigarh. The restaurant is located in the same building of Mainland China in Sector 26, Chandigarh. While the different flavours of other regions of India were always present in some form or the other throughout the country, it was the vision of Chef-turned-leading Indian restaurateur Anjan Chatterjee, who strongly believed that the unique flavours of a 300-year-old cuisine needed to be explored. I visited them a few days ago to try out some of their specialities. The best part was the usage of authentic, sourced ingredients from West Bengal. I started off my lunch with their Banana Floret Tikki, Prawn Cutlet and Calcutta mustard paneer tikka. All the items were top notch. My personal pick had to be their Prawn cutlet. The patty was super flavourful and juicy. Next up, for mains, I had their Slow cooked Bhuna mutton, Prawn and coconut malai curry, Kolkata chicken biryani and Mango mustard okra. The mutton was the show stopper of the afternoon. I had never tried such amazing mutton in Chandigarh so far. The spice level was quite moderate and the mutton quality used was spot on. Pair it up with the Luchi or Bengali version of a poori and you will up for a treat certainly. The prawn and coconut malai curry was another glorious dish which had a very nice flavor of the coconut milk and gondhoraj lemon. Highly recommended. The Mango mustard okra was another dish that stood out of the menu. Very interesting taste. To end things on a sweet note, I had their Steamed mango mishti doi and steamed sondesh. My pick had to be their steamed mango mishti doi with chopped mangoes on the top. The tanginess of the doi was evenly cut with the sweetness of the mango. Overall, I would be visiting them over yet again to try out their Mutton and prawn cutlet. Happy eating.

After a good foot and Head massage felt really hungry so found this place nearby in Sector 26. Cool ambience. Welcoming reception. Great host to serve and guide you in choosing the food. Food was really great, tasty and delicious. Good portion sizes. Selection of drinks is good. Bal krishan and Abhi served with a smile and spirit of excellence. Enjoyed our afternoon meal thoroughly.

Great food, good ambiance, courteous staff is all u can say about the place. The buffet they serve is with msg and the menu food can be prepared without msg. The food taste is awesome especially the eight treasure soup, star fried rice, dim sums, lettuce wraps, lamb in black pepper sauce and general tso’s chicken. Although the place requires renovation but overall a good experience.

Mainland China is my go to place for Chinese cuisine in Tricity. They serve spectacular Chinese food at affordable prices. The ambiance of the place is very welcoming and the staff is friendly and attentive. The seating arrangements are comfortable and spacious, providing privacy for each table. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained. The "Ginger Pineapple mocktail" was refreshing and had a perfect blend of ginger and pineapple flavors. The "Eight Treasure Chicken soup" was flavorful and had generous portions of chicken and vegetables. The " Basil Flavored Vegetables dimsums" were steaming hot, delicious, and had a perfect blend of spices and herbs. The highlight of the meal was the "Mango pudding" , which was creamy and had the perfect amount of sweetness. It was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Overall, Mainland China is a must-visit restaurant for anyone who loves Chinese cuisine. The quality of the food, the ambiance, and the service make it a great dining experience. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy delicious Chinese food in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.

Chinese Cuisine At It's Best !!!!! Visited Mainland China after years galore. However, the experience was as delightful, as ot was on my first rendevous with this Chinese Hub. Relished a galore of dishes which were all flavoured to the Core. A brief on what all I gulped down :- 1. Jiangs Chilli Chicken - Forget the Jiangs & its your typical Chilli Chicken which is indeed full of flavours & would suit any taste bud. The right spices blended together to make that perfect Chilli Chicken which you would always Crave For. Order this & you wouldn't go wrong with it. 2. Chicken Taipei - Crispy chicken served with crunchy veggies with a peculiar taste. It was great. 3. Fish Pepper Garlic - The fish tasted quite fresh. Extremely delicious. Liked the 3Ts - Texture, Taste & Tender. Awesome dish. 4. Singapore Chilli Prawns - I have the love for Prawns. Tried this one & didn't regret a bit. Super flavours there. Prawns seemed of good quality. Loved them. 5. Chilli Garlic Noodles - Medium Spicy. Not much of chillies & garlic there as I was expecting it to be. This dish could have been better, but it was still decent enough. The portion size was pretty adequate. The two of us had our fill & were still left with loads of food which we had to pack. Overall I must try place to lunch or dine in. Loved it & strongly recommended. Regards

The ambience of Mainland China is mesmerising and it gives totally Asian vibes (well, of course). The food is amazing and worth a try! We had Crab Chicken and Dragon Chilli Fish along with Rice and 2 Noodles and it was sufficient for 5 people. The crab was delicious and so was the Chilli Fish. It was all very spicy just the way we love it! You can ask the dishes to be less spicy as well. The manager was kind to us too and very generous. The washroom was clean and hygienic. There is also a Bar with Live Music in the Basement and we could hear the Singer's voice from where we were seated, on the ground floor. We didn't try the Buffet there but it seemed really beautiful and mouth watering! Pre-booking is preferred there as it's almost always packed! A place to go for Asian food lovers!

Sector 7 Social is a trendy hangout spot in Chandigarh known for its modern Indian cuisine, cocktails, and stylish decor. Located in Sector 7 and Elante Mall, it offers a vibrant social space with eclectic ambiance and innovative concepts that cater to the city's young clientele. The interior features chic industrial design with exposed brick walls, original artwork, and comfortable seating.
Our colleague brought us here after shopping and we quite enjoyed the food. The spicy mom's weren't too spicy and I could eat a whole bunch of those any day of the week! The veg wrap was excellent and the rice bun with the fried veg patty was also delicious (yummy sauce). I would definitely go back next time I'm in Mohali!

Visited Social and ordered Bhelpuri, fresh lemon water, and the Aloo Tikki burger. The Bhelpuri had a nice flavor but unfortunately arrived a bit soggy, which took away from the crunch you’d expect. The lemonade was quite disappointing — I had to send it back, and even the replacement lacked freshness and balance. The Aloo Tikki burger was decent, but nothing extraordinary. Overall, a mixed experience — some hits and misses. Hoping for better consistency next time.

The staff is courteous, attentive, and efficient, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Service is quick even during peak hours, and the overall vibe is energetic yet comfortable. What makes Sector 7 Social stand out is its blend of great food, aesthetic interiors, and a vibrant crowd. Perfect for brunches, dinners, or working from their co-working zone during the day. Absolutely brilliant time to be had here! We thoroughly enjoyed our time. SANDEEP made us very welcome, and MANN looked after us at the table. We had the best food and drinks, pretty reasonable for NRI's, I suppose. There small quirky ideas make the place enjoyable to be at! I will add pictures!!

One of the best vibing restaurant we went to. The interiors are interesting and quirky. Little ideas for cutlery or sitting bring a smile on the face. Ambience 10/10 if u are looking for loud music. Service : The staff is extremely well trained and receptive. Food : Below average. 1. Wasabi hasbrown Chaat: Poor - no wasabi in it. It was sent back to the kitchen and we received back half the qty and yet very little wasabi. NOT RECOMMENDED. 2. Crispy Corn : Perfect. One of the best. 3. Abra Kebab Platter for 4: PURE CHEATING. A '4 person platter' was ordered and yet paneer tikka and kebabs were 3 each (it wasnt an error from chef) Unsure how they want these to be divided among 4 people. For 750 rupees it was a rip off. Btw the paneer tikka, chaap and mushroom tasted bad. Hara bhara kebab was really good. They have revamped the entire menu. Food used to be great at Social but this time it left me asking for more. Pizza - ultra thin so that it can qualify as a papad. But it was good.

The tofu tacos weren't very tasty - I have a feeling this dish only works with the chicken option. I didn't like the pizza so much - the flavors were lacking and the dough was too dense. The chicken soup was basic. My two favorite dishes were the "healthy Caesar salad" and the "chicken shawarma". Both were excellent. The chicken was so succulent - perfection!

Great place for people who want to eat healthy and fresh. Loved their grilled fish bowl. A very comfy and positive environment. What stood out is that their service is quite fast as compared to other places where food takes hours to arrive.

The dish was overwhelmingly cheesy and tasted more like a basic jackfruit sabzi wrapped in a fancy green-colored roti, then topped with cheese. Unfortunately, the flavors didn’t come together for me. Wouldn’t go back for this.

I have been ordering my salads from this restaurant for a long time, but I have noticed that the quality of their food has declined over time. It's disheartening to see this. Today, I ordered the power-house salad, and when I served myself the first portion, I found flies in it. Seriously, since when do you add flies to a fresh salad?

Guys I went to this restaurant for healthy eating . So I ordered this healthy kulfi ice cream . And can u see the healthy surprise in my order . Yes that is a healthy insect enjoying the coolness of my food. Well I didn’t ask for insects in my food. It has really scared me what kind of unhygienic food they are serving. Rest is good , it’s just insects in the food. Eat on your own risk.

I saw the google ratings and went to this place. Food is decent, I would not say great - but it was the only place I could find that was serving smoothie bowls so I thought might as well try. But to my disappointment, a lot of images on google are uploaded by the cafe management and those dishes doNOT EXIST AT ALL. Which was a huge disappointment. I asked the staff and they told me that they haven’t served this in 5 years and the images uploaded by the management is from 1 year ago. The smoothie bowls came in a dessert cup and not a ‘bowl’ Pad thai didn’t have the appropriate pad Thai sauce surprisingly tofu had that.

Nice cosy vibes at this restaurant with Jagjit singh Ghazals playing in the background. Multicuisine restaurant serving Indian, Chinese, sizzlers, tea and coffee along with alcohol and mocktails. Mr. Kulveer Singhji was very attentive, kind and gave suggestions knowing that I'm the only one eating.. he was very helpful and heeded to my customizations on my tea. The restaurant is located on ground floor of bridge market in sector 17 chandigarh. Currently undergoing renovation in phases but they have ample space and classy interiors. The service is good and the food is good too. I had the mutton kheema Naan which comes with gravy and the chicken spring roll. The naan had 4 big pieces with generous filling of kheema. This itself would've been enough for a single person but I wanted to take some parcel so ordered the spring roll. Had my tea craving satiated with the delicious ginger tea made as per my instructions. Definitely recommend going here solo, family and in groups.

For the love of South Indian food, you have to come here! Have had plenty dosas and idlis at many restaurants in Chandigarh, but this one beats all of them. 1. Simple and decent place, not a high end show off. Complimentary Rasam feels great for throat. 2. Make sure you have their special rasam, which is complimentary and awesome. 3. Had mini idli with dahi and rawa masala dosa. One word: Amazing. I usually have dosa with coconut chutney, as at 'other places' sambhar and that orange chutney are crap. Here, i actually had all the three as they were so goooood - coconut chutney, sambhar, pudina chutney and tomato chutney. 4. One important thing: the food doesn't make you feel heavy at all. Visit once and you'll forget the 'other ratnas and ratnams'

1. Very bad experience 2. The owners were shouting between themselves for some reason. Thereafter speaking on the phone very loudly. 3. The behaviour perculated down the servers as well 4. Food is pretty average and a shade below. Paneer dosa wasn't tasty at all, there were three chutneys and all of them tasted nearly the same. Atlast was the Puri bhaji, which was again too oily, bhaji was also average

I had high hopes for MOBE, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. While the drink selection was decent, the absence of draft beer was disappointing. The popcorn chicken was overcooked and dry. On a positive note, the service was attentive, but I was confused when a staff member in a black shirt (presumably a manager) asked me to switch tables for no apparent reason. It felt off, especially since I was enjoying my time and spending money. I’m giving it one star for now, but if I return, I’ll reconsider my rating. On a brighter note, the live band YUGA was fantastic! And please fix the toilet paper thing from the table. If people spend this kind of money I’d expect proper napkins.

The cafe provides a haven for reading, working, or simply relaxing with friends and family amidst good music and delectable European and English cuisine.
Absolutely loved this place! Hedgehog Café- atmosphere is warm, cozy, and perfect for anyone who enjoys a peaceful spot to read, work, or just relax with good company. The interiors are beautifully done with bookshelves and soft lighting that give it a very welcoming vibe. I ordered the pesto pasta and a cappuccino —both were delicious and full of flavor. The staff was polite, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. It’s the kind of café where you lose track of time (in the best way). Highly recommended for book lovers, students, and anyone looking for a quiet escape in the city!

The cozy and rustic ambiance gives a relaxing mood. The food is ok, it could be improved. The toast was done well but could have been served while it was warm. I think they toasted it while fryig the eggs which led the toast to be cold when it's served. Spent a out 800 INR for breakfast and a latte.

A very cute cafe with amazing NYC cookies and the burger was scrumptious too. Coffee needs little improvement that's why I gave 4 stars for food. But other than that lived the vibe, ambience and staff were very polite. I had chocochip cookie and Biscoff cookie. Loved the Biscoff cookie. It's too good. Must try. There's lots of books that you can grab while waiting for food and read. Good collection of books as well.

Cosy cafe. Pet friendly (one of the few that allow a pet inside so you can sit in the AC). Nice service. Extensive book collection which you could spend a life time browsing through. Board games to keep you engaged. Plenty of options on the menu food wise.

I visted Hedgehog Cafe yesterday and let me tell you this place is fantastic! Loved the atmosphere. It was so quiet even though the place was full. People were talking softly to allow others who were working or reading to concentrate. I absolutely loved the huge collection of books! A heaven for book lovers. Bring your own book or pick one off the shelves. A person like me can easily spend the day here reading and sipping coffee and eating intermittently. A great place to work too. You can bring your own laptop or use one of theirs. The food was good too. The service was impeccable. Just loved the vibes of this place and will definitely visit again.

Recently been to Hedgehog Cafe in Chandigarh and have mixed feelings about my experience. The cafe's atmosphere is a definite highlight. The ambiance is great, and the decor, styled like a library, is cozy and unique. It's a fantastic spot to relax with a book or catch up with a friend Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the surroundings. I found the food to be below average, lacking in flavor and overall quality. While the setting is charming, the menu needs a serious upgrade to match the vibe In short, if you're looking for a quiet, aesthetically pleasing place to hang out, Hedgehog Cafe is a good choice. However, if your primary goal is to enjoy a great meal, you might be slightly disappointed.

Cottage, located in Chandigarh, offers a delightful dining experience with its Mediterranean, European, and Fusion cuisine. The upscale cafe features outdoor dining with in-house cabanas and spacious open-air seating in a large courtyard. Its charming farmhouse-inspired design creates a warm and comfortable ambiance reminiscent of a British cottage. The rustic decor with gable roofs and stone walls adds to the cozy atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for casual lunches or romantic dinners.
Yummy food!! Kids friendly restaurant, my toddler loved their Chicken Souvlaki and pizza. Quick service,Our server was also very attentive and checking multiple times if we needed any help. Beautiful decor in open space, you can definitely get some insta pictures with their lights decor in night. I highly recommend to check this place out.

Coffee is good here, but the food is not up to the mark here. They should focus on cleanliness a little bit more as well. 1) We had cappuccino both caramel and hazelnut flavors. Coffee was good, but my coffee cup was not clean on the outside. I saw it afterward in the pics when i zoomed it and it looks like some bug type thing sticking on it. I am sure this type of thing we never expect from such an elite restaurant. 2) My friends had pasta and a few other food items here, which were tasteless and ordinary. 3) Obviously, prices are high here. The portion size is very small. 4) Staff is average here, not so much friendly. 5) Interior work is very impressive here, very innovative theme. Very cozy place and environment.

Our order had mixed results: the quinoa falafel was delightful, but the Greek Pizza didn't quite hit the mark. Otherwise it is a nice, cozy place to visit for a date night.

Disappointing experience! Food was below average. When it comes to staff , i guess that was also a bit off , everyone was busy with themselves, needs improvement in food quality and menu variety though the drink i tried was really good and talking about ambience it's nice and cozy and it's a one time go thing maybe because food quality is definitely compromised .

It was a nice place, nice delicious food, 😋, menu is quite good, we tried lamb and humus it was very good lamb was juicy and tender, chicken and veggies were also good. Jaggery panacota was nice on flavours, but panacota was not that vobbaly. All in all, it's a good nice restaurant. 👍

We (5) went there for lunch today. The ambience of the place is one of the best in tricity. The place is focused on Italian cuisine mostly. A complementary dish was first offered, which was a nice type of bread and tasty chutney. We tried Lamb Hummus (must try and was the best), veg and non veg pizzas (good), paneer snacks, mocktails, coffee, and chicken snacks. The portion size can be increased, considering the prices of the dishes.

A great evening dining experience.... Superb ambience, silent place to catch up with friends. the food was awesome, the portion size is enough for one person. so while ordering the starters and drinks ensure to take less portion so that you enjoy the main course. Restaurant
Cafe Nomad, located in Sector 7 of Chandigarh, offers an enchanting ambience with a menu specializing in authentic Middle-Eastern cuisine. The interior decor resembles a Turkish cafe, featuring rounded arches, rustic wood-fired oven, dimpled sofas, and recessed lighting. The cafe promises a culinary adventure with healthy options like salads, Middle Eastern food, desserts, and beverages. It also presents a fusion of Mediterranean favorites alongside Mexican tacos.
First time visited along with my colleague. Cold coffee was good in taste. Inside crowd was awesome. Interior was good choice. Service was quick. Rate was little on higher side but that depends on quality which they have delivered Atleast we got parking area. Overall it was a good experience.
Asit G — Google review
Tucked away in a quiet corner, this Mediterranean café offers a cozy and inviting ambience that makes for a pleasant dining experience. The lighting and warm decor create an ideal setting for a relaxed meal or casual conversation. While the wine was perfectly chilled and complemented the atmosphere well, the hummus—often a highlight of Mediterranean cuisine—fell short of expectations, lacking the creamy texture and bold flavor typically associated with a well-made version. The major disappointment were the cars parked right in front of the restaurant, shining their headlights into the diners eyes .Something needs to be done to keep the “outside din , outside “ and not interfere with the dining experience .Overall, a charming spot with potential, but the food quality needs a bit more attention to truly shine.

This cafe is definitely one of my most favourite cafes. It is located in one of the best areas in Chandigarh. The crowd here is always very decent. The best thing about this cafe is its menu. The food is of always good quality and definitely is always fresh.
Gagan D — Google review
Here’s a detailed review of Café Nomad, Sector 7, Chandigarh — what it gets right, what could be better, and whether it’s worth a visit: ⸻ Basics • Location: 178, Inner Market, Sector 7 (opposite the Sports Complex), Chandigarh. • Cuisine type: Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, with some fusion and global touches. • Ambience / Vibe: Relaxed, stylish, somewhat quaint décor. It is often described as a calm place suitable for lunch, catch-ups, or casual dining. • Timing / Cost: Open from around 11 AM to midnight. Average cost for two is about ₹1,200 (approx.) excluding drinks/desserts. ⸻ What It Does Well 1. Food Variety The menu is quite expansive — salads, mezze platters, tagines, falafel, hummus, etc. If you want something different from the usual North Indian / Chinese café fare, this is a strong option. 2. Portion Size A lot of reviewers mention the portions are generous. You generally feel like you’re getting value in terms of quantity. 3. Ambience & Service The café is well-liked for its ambiance — relaxed, comfortable interiors, good for meeting friends or even working quietly. Service is mostly praised: courteous staff, decent wait times. 4. Signature Items • Hummus with pita bread is apparently a “rockstar” dish here. • Moroccan tagine, falafel, and various mezze items are also frequently praised. • Coffee and desserts are also well received. ⸻ What Could Be Better / Issues 1. Price vs Perceived Value Some patrons feel the café is on the expensive side. For certain dishes, expectations may be slightly higher based on cost. 2. Menu Inconsistencies • A few reviews mention things like vegetables being undercooked or certain items not being exactly as described. • Some items may not match the “authentic” version people expect, especially for Mediterranean or Middle Eastern dishes. 3. Decor / Exterior vs Interior The outer facade of the café is sometimes described as “deceptive” — meaning it doesn’t quite match expectations if you judge purely by the outside. Once inside, however, things improve with décor, seating, etc. 4. Peak Hours / Crowds As is typical with cafés of this sort, during busy times (evenings or weekends) service may lag and it might be noisier. For a quiet visit, better to go off-peak hours. ⸻ Overall Take / Is It Worth It? Yes — Café Nomad is worth a visit especially if you enjoy trying international flavours, good ambiance, and relaxing meals. If you go for lunch or early evening, you’ll likely have a pleasant experience. If you’re very particular about authentic flavours or want a more budget-friendly place, then compare options — but this café delivers well for what it aims to be.
Amit G — Google review
The atmosphere of Cafe Nomad is very inviting, with a warm and cozy ambiance perfect for a night out with friends or family. I loved the decor, which was inspired by different countries in the Middle East and the Far East. The menu is a mix of middle eastern and far eastern dishes, and it's great to see that they have options for both meat lovers and vegetarians. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and they were able to guide me through their menu. The pizza was cooked to perfection, with a crispy crust and fresh, flavorful veggies. The flavors were well-balanced and didn't overpower each other, making for a harmonious taste experience. The portion size was also generous, making it a great option for a meal on its own or sharing. Overall, this dish is a must-try for anyone who loves veggies and a good pizza. The brownie shake was equally impressive, with a rich and creamy texture. The thick consistency was perfect for a sweet treat after a meal. Pistachio baklava was the highlight of my dining experience. The layers of flaky pastry filled with chopped pistachios were perfectly sweet and nutty, creating a perfect balance of flavors. The addition of vanilla ice cream only made the dessert even more irresistible. The baklava was the perfect dessert to complete my meal. Overall, Cafe Nomad is a fantastic restaurant for anyone looking to try something new and delicious. Their menu offers a range of options from the middle east to the far east, and the quality of food and service is top-notch. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a unique culinary experience. They have done an excellent job of bringing together the flavors of the Middle East and the Far East to create a truly unique dining experience. P.S: They serve Beer and Wine though out the day.

The cafe has some decent food although it seems to suffer an identity crisis on what it wants to be, you can expect to see a medle of decor from 3 different regions which doesn't flow too well and the drinks and service were mid at best.

Non Vegetarian Mezze Platter Café Nomad is one of the best places to have Mezze! And they've been serving unmatched food for years now! So this Mezze comprises of Chicken Shish Touk/Tawook, Lamb Kebab (Seekh) and Lamb Panzarotti (Deep fried Dumplings, Something like Indian Samosas OR Mexican Empanadas 😁) The Kebabs are accompanied by Hummus, Laban (Cucumber Yogurt Dip), Muhammara (Roasted Red Bell Pepper & Walnut Dip). It's all served with Pickled Veggies, Salad & Grilled Pita Bread. Needless to say, so many different Flavours working together make for an excellent platter. The Dips are really different from one another, so are the succulent Kebabs and I absolutely love making a bite trying the different combinations pairing each Kebab with different dips. It's an absolute delight and till you finish it, this platter keeps your taste buds occupied! If you haven't tried the Mezze at Cafe Nomad, you're really missing a good dish on the Tricity Food Scene!

The very first thing is that they don't have half serving options forcing you order extra food if you want to try varity of food. I had to order full veg noodles. First thing the quantity was very less which shrinkflation. Then I asked them to pack the left over veg noodles as I had ordered other items also. They packed the same in a plastic bag. I asked them to pack it in a food grade plastic bowl they denied by saying that if u order directly for take away then they will pack like this. I would say everyone save your hard earned money and health by avoiding having food outside. They are just cutting your pocket and making you sick. Stay safe and aware my country men. 🙏🙏

Taste - 5/5 Portions - 5/5 Value for money - 5/5 This all time favourite "student adda" has amazing quick bites at pocket friendly prices. Their patties are the most famous out of their menu. My favourite has to be the "corn cheese patty" (Rs. 50/-). It's super crispy on the outsides filled with oozing cheese and corns inside, seasoned perfectly. You would never want to go back again to your regular patty. Highlight this place for all those evening gapshap & snacks with friends.

Value for money place What I had? 1. KitKat Shake - Awesome, doesn't feel watery. Thick and tasty. One kitkat bar as garnish could improve the presentation. 2. Brownie Shake - Best , tasty ,thick, with big brownie pieces. It was simply lovely. 3. Chilly smoke grilled burger - Amazing, creamy , well seasoned. I am in love with this burger. Ambience - Small stall but well decorated. Service is quite fast. Prices are good and affordable. Best for college/school students. Recommended place♥️

Visited here for a Birthday party. Food was good but service is little slow. Staff was very polite and helpful. Sarson da sag was very tasty. At the exit point they have paan vendor. Good sweet paan. Clearly visible from the main road. Wheelchair accessible parking but entrance have some steps. It's good option in sector 16 Panchkula for small party with in budget.

I've had samosas from here for more than 12-15 years now but sadly the quality downgrades with each passing year. To start with the chutney was simply flavorless, colored water. The aloo samosa was extremely spicy whereas the paneer samosa was lil too bland for my liking. The peas were raw which totally added to my disappointment. Really miss those huge aloo samosas which were the size of an average hand, loaded with aloo paneer filling and lots of nuts. Green chutney wasn't available at the moment. Taste- 6/10 Value for money- 8/10 Cost for 2- 60 Rupees for 2. ⭐⭐⭐

With an extensive menu of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian rolls, their succulent and juicy Kathi rolls are a must-try.
If you’re a late-night foodie or someone who craves quick, delicious snacks at odd hours, Roll Express in Sector 36, Chandigarh is a gem you shouldn’t miss. This place consistently delivers not just good food but great value for money, making it a reliable go-to for students, professionals, and night owls alike. What sets Roll Express apart is its consistency in taste and service. No matter what time you visit—even in the deep hours of the night—you’ll find their team ready to serve hot, fresh, and flavorful rolls. Their chicken and paneer rolls are among the most popular, packed with spices and wrapped in soft yet crisp parathas. The portion sizes are generous and filling, and the pricing is very reasonable, especially considering the quality and late-night availability. Another highlight is that all their outlets across Chandigarh maintain the same quality standards. You always know what to expect—quick service, hygienic preparation, and satisfying taste. Even during rush hours, the staff handles orders efficiently. In a city with limited late-night food options, Roll Express stands out as a savior. Whether you’re coming back from work, a party, or just have midnight cravings, this place never disappoints.

It appears that online customers, particularly those ordering through Swiggy, Zomato are given priority over in-house customers. While I appreciate the quality of the food offered, I believe it is essential for all customers to feel valued and receive timely service, regardless of how they place their order. Ensuring equal attention to both online and in-house orders would greatly enhance the overall dining experience.

Komal S — Google review
Extremely disappointing experience with this outlet’s delivery service. I placed an order expecting it to arrive within 30 minutes, but after 45 minutes, there was no update, and the delivery person was completely unresponsive. I tried contacting the delivery partner multiple times, but my calls were ignored. When I reached out to customer support, I was kept on hold for 15 minutes with no resolution. By the time the delivery person called back (with no clear explanation), I had no choice but to cancel the order as I had to leave town. Despite this, I was still charged ₹618 for food I never received. This kind of service is unacceptable. If an outlet cannot ensure timely deliveries or proper communication, it should not accept online orders. I strongly urge the management to improve coordination with delivery partners and ensure customers are not left stranded without their orders.

My review is totally based on my personal experience with its bar menu and Its ambience. So, I really liked the place as I walked in until mosquitoes starting giving me a hard time to sit. There were bugs flying around. Mosquitoes biting on my feet. Beer price is way too expensive for a place like that. Service was fair enough. I literally had to move out without having food but it was really annoying. I hope they will take this seriously and improve in that area.

Peaceful during daytime and amusing during evenings. It is at the backside of Toy Hotel. Positives: lovely ambiance inside and as well as the outside of the restaurant. The greenery around it really plays a soothing role. Humble and professional staff with relatively fast service. Some food items are exceptionally good. Chicken Tikka is recommended. Negatives: There are hardly any negatives, but I’ll pin point a few. In my opinion, the prices are a bit on expensive side, especially the prices of liquor. Overall, I do recommend this place, especially for a date.

The food is good and seems to be made in hygienic condition. I would say a good place to eat Indian food at reasonable rate. Allthough it is a dhaba they do apply tax so keep that in mind.

One of the best place to eat Indian food.🤩 Seriously, they have amazing dal makhni and kadhai paneer😋😋😋 I am a regular visit of this place because i love their food. You must give it a try. P.S.- Rajma Chawal is not that good there. But naan and dal makhni combo is just amazing!

Out of all the restaurants present in the area this one stands out in the term of service, quality, price and ambiance. You can always see your food getting freshly cooked through the transparent wall between the kitchen area. The place is almost always filled with swarm of people and the tight sitting space makes it difficult to find any empty table .the service speed could be improved but seeing how full they are with orders this shortcoming is admissible . try their kadai paneer, chesse chilly, chana masala for best experinace .

I went there couple days ago and forgot my wallet behind and realized it once I got home! I was so worried, came back and spoke to the manager, he asked me couple questions just to verify the wallet was mine! I had my gold chain in there as well as some important and valuable documents. This place is 100% recommended not only for their honesty but awesome food!! OMG I cant thank you enough!! 😊😊😊😊😊

Asian restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Chandigarh, OKO - A Pan Asian Restaurant offers a lavish dining experience that is sure to enchant lovers of Japanese and Southeast Asian cuisine. With its upscale decor that exudes elegance, this restaurant has become a favorite for those seeking an exquisite culinary journey. The talented chefs, hailing from Japan, prepare an array of mouth-watering dishes that not only satisfy hunger but also delight the senses.
Absolutely loved the experience! The chili-oil dim sums, edamame, and garlic noodles were packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The mocktails are a must-try—fresh, creative, and perfectly balanced. Chef Das truly brings magic to the table with his culinary vision, and the service team made the evening even more special. Highly recommend!

OKO at @thelalitchandigarh driven by @chefsuriya11 is rooted in Authentic Pan Asian Cuisine. Chef Suriya has returned after a hiatus of about 4 years bringing once again his exceptional skills in Thai Cuisine to the Tricity. Trained at the iconic Blue Elephant Restaurant & Culinary School in Bangkok, where he later taught too, makes Chef Suriya a stalwart when it comes to Thai Cuisine and it was apparent in every dish we had for lunch. I was completely blown away by the Qingzheng Jiayu, steamed whole fish with Soy Sauce, Ginger, Scallions etc served in a watery sauce that's a result of all these ingredients being steamed together with the fish. It's a light, simple and addictive dish. The delicate fish sucked up all the flavours of that delicious sauce and it was heavenly! I loved Pad Thai, one of my favourite dishes. Flat rice noodles stir-fried, is essentially a street food & eaten for any meal of the day. The Burmese Khao Suey was incredibly light, flavourful & balanced! Amongst the best, I've had recently. The Pad Krapow Gai, a minced chicken stir fry with fragrant basil is sweetish, savoury and a bit spicy. While everyone loved the Coconut Caramel Cake, which was faultless, I was a bit partial towards ThapThim Krop, which is named amongst the top 50 desserts by CNN Travel. Little pieces of crunchy Water Chestnuts coloured red using beetroot juice rolled in Tapioca Flour, boiled and served in slightly sweetened coconut milk & Ice cubes! The fruity crunchy sweetish dessert is phenomenal. A truly unique dessert that shouldn't be missed! Thai Cuisine is interesting cause it was never colonised, and was always a centre of trade hence the influences on its cuisine have been mostly adopted by the Thai people rather than forced upon them! For that very reason, it's an extremely unique cuisine that adopts contrasting flavours in most of its dishes, and considering we have Chef Suriya back in town, I can optimistically say a great culinary experience awaits you at OKO! P.S. Dinner Only.

One of the best pan Asian restaurants I have visited. The staff are so friendly. The food tasted amazing. We had Khao suey, which the chef customised it according to our requirements. Their complimentary crisps are a note to be mentioned. They are so yum. Avacado cream cheese sushi had the right amount of everything in place. Visited this place for lunch on two consecutive days which explains the service and food quantity

This place is really good! Authentic Japanese Teppanyaki..we felt we had been transported to Japan.. ! we tried the lamb chops and salmon and both were simply yum!! The Kaffir lime cheesecake was quite spectacular too! The only minor let down was the cocktail that we had. We tried a whiskey sour which was not quite upto mark... they got it fixed after we complained which was good though.. This place is definitely worth going to! Again and again!
