Went there because of their reviews, worth it, especially their calamari was very fresh, their meze was fresh too. The only issue was their bread, would expect a newly baked bread. The staff are very attentive and the atmosphere is nice for an hour or two.

I have searched for the best fish restaurants in Izmir and this restaurant kept showing on top list so i gave it a try. To be honest the food in Izmir is more expensive than Istanbul we paid almost 150$ for 2 adults 2 kids and we left hungry. They only had 3-4 types of fish to choose from for a fish restaurant. Many varieties on the menu we asked for they said they did not have. A common thing among restaurants in Izmir is that they charge for couvre ( which is basically the use of utensils and plates) such a weird concept in my opinion and never seen it before. Would not recommend it for sure.

I saw this place from a famous YouTuber video, as a tourist in Izmir I wanted to get a taste of Ege cuisine and Im glad I came to this restaurant the food quality and options were great and thanks to everyone in kitchen, however there are some things that really piss me off, first thing was Service, it was slow and highly biased, there were hidden charges which Are Illegal in Turkey like servis fee and charging 200+(7$)for just bringing water and plain bread, overall; the place the food and the atmosphere were great but at this price point and with all these added costs I recommend another place.

DO NOT EAT HERE The most disrespectful experience we have ever had. They bring several items to the table, which you do not order at the start, don’t communicate what they are for or that they are part of some “surcharge” they will apply to the bill at the end of your dinner, which is claimed to be “water, bread, olive” charge. We did not consume any of the items places on our table. We then didn’t have one of our meals delivered at all, but they put it on our bill, and service was woefully slow and I had to get up and pour my own wine. They didn’t even apologise for not bringing a meal to us but still tried to charge us for it. We questioned the charges at the end, which is where we were told about the “bread, olive, water” charge and for the meal we didn’t even receive. The waiters argued with us about the extra charge and wouldn’t let us pay until we paid it. This is appalling service for a restaurant with the reviews it has, and for somewhere our hotel recommended us to visit.

Honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The food was bland, poorly cooked, and felt like zero care went into it. For the prices they charge, the quality is shocking. Me and my friend, 2 people , we ordered only 1 fish and 1 original rice, almost 3000 lira. Food is fine. But they charge us 250 lira parking fee. We parked on the street, but restaurant charges us parking fee , really unreasonable.

Beautiful food and the warmest Turkish hospitality! The lamb was unforgettable, so tender it melts in your mouth. The restaurant has such a lovely vibe, especially around golden hour. We walked in on a Sunday evening without a reservation and were seated with no problem. Just a heads up, the menu doesn’t show prices. Definitely the best restaurant I’ve been so far in Izmir. The one, that makes you think: why should I dine somewhere else? The food is excellent! Although some members of the staff speak only Turkish, the are always very kind and are supported by their colleagues. Unfortunately this time I forgot to make the picture of the food, but I can assure you that it was worth coming in.

Although I don’t like the taste of the “kuyruk yağı”( smelly animal fat) they use for multiple menu options including their complimentary eggplant dolma and içli köfte, they absolutely deserve to be Michelin star restaurant! Thanks for great experience!

Great food, but quite expensive! They bring you a bunch of complimentary starters and dessert - we liked the spread but it may not be to everyone’s liking. It is absolutely massive and packed, and the staff do their best to keep up. Not a big fan of all the cats roaming around, given that this is quite a high end restaurant.

Very popular, nice place. Food is overrated. Not special. So you pay for atmosphere. The meat on my plate was chewy, nothing special. Ordered some other dishes for sharing no special taste. Just regular from sensory experience.

Alsancak Dostlar Fırını is a must-visit bakery in İzmir! I tried their vegan boyoz options contain aubergine , artichoke, and aegean herbs, and they were absolutely delicious—flaky, flavorful, and fresh. The staff is friendly. Rate:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A fantastic spot for authentic Turkish breakfast! Their specialty, Boyoz, is simply amazing — perfectly crisp and flaky on the outside with delicious fillings inside. The best and most famous boyoz shop in Izmir. They have a nice variety of boyoz. My favorite are pastirma, minced meat, and chocolate ones. The rest is ok but some of them have a little stuffing like the mozzarella cheese one which has a very little amount of cheese in it. Don’t forget to order their special kahvaltilik sauce and tulum cheese. Have a tea and enjoy 🫖

The boyoz here is absolutely perfect – soft inside, crispy outside, and full of authentic Izmir flavor. If you’re in Alsancak, Dostlar Fırını is the best place to enjoy this local specialty. A must-try!

Very fast service, almost no waiting time. You have to list your order twice, once to eat and later to pay. There are 16 sorts of boyoz including sweet ones. The shop is well located on the most vibrant street on İzmir. Boyoz is the local defining food of izmir, structure like börek and is good for breakfast, brunch or even lunch.

Inexpensive pastries that make for a nice breakfast. I had to wait in line for about three minutes. Among the flavors: spinach, spinach and cheese, mozzarella, chocolate. 50 Liras each as of August 2025, 25 liras for a cup of tea, 100 Litas for a limonata. You get the pastries at the counter. They bring the drinks to the table. Happy customer. 5 stars!

I tried two Boyoz (one plain and one with spinach filling), and something like a croissant filled with chocolate. The Boyoz were reaaaaally nice and the spinach tastes so fresh, if u are a chocolate lover the croissants are also very full filling (literally). Also the nice weather and the chill atmosphere outside added to the overall good experience:)

While visiting from Australia, we popped into this bakery on our 2 last days in Izmir. Each time, we tried different flavoured Boyoz - all of which were tasty! My highlight was the chocolate filled croissant-type pastry which was so full of chocolate and absolutely delicious.

If you want to have brunch or afternoon tea/coffee, near the distinguished Kültürpark, there is this an authentic pastry that you should visit! One of the waiters could speak English and help us as the tourists to understand the menu. We ordered Gevrek, Kumru & Boyoz (one with mushroom & one with chocolate). All of them are delicious!!! The atmosphere is really nice too, you can spend time hours with reading books or chatting with your friends/loved ones, especially during the sunny day. They have indoor & outdoor spaces.

This place is huge. One can find anything from printing service to suits and souvenirs. Of course there are a lot of restaurants and cafes. There is no need to visit every corner of it. Maybe just casually stroll and see where one is lead to.

A great place to walk around. We tried the mussels and rice. They were excellent. We also did the pickle juice which was also excellent. Lots and lots of interesting shops.

Unique bazaar as there is no goods and shops for tourists. Most of famous bazaar in Turkey is full of shops for tourist with expensive price. But here, most of customers are Izmir people. I like this bazaar. Merchants are friendly and kind! Visit here and feel some authentic turkey bazaar vibe!

The best part of our trip was a visit to the bazaar. It is massive and full of interesting shops. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Be mindful of the middle men and prices can be high. Plenty of places to eat. Take time and make a day of it

Kemeralti bazaar is quite a busy place. You can find hundreds of things to buy from there as the prices are reasonably low. Make sure you have enough space in your suitcase before visiting the bazaar because there are too many souvenirs to buy. There are beautiful bags with Turkish embroidery patterns and praying beads and countless teas and coffees. There are numerous cafes to have a quick bite but they are all super busy. This bazaar is a must visit place.

Cool place, nice atmosphere. I ate lasagna, it was average not very good but still tasty. The soup was also nice but the tomato soup is not in turkish style but more like Italian kind. Pizzas were good. They offered us three lovely shots at the end which was very kind 🙋🏽‍♂️ also, it is a bit expensive but very chic inside! 🤓

It was my second time at this pizzeria, surprisingly for Turkey, it didn’t get spoiled, even got better in my opinion. Prices are quite reasonable for this place, I really recommend trüflü burrata (my fav from now on). It was my birthday, and I didn’t like the place we chose (it was La Cigale), the staff at Venedik was very agreeable and welcoming, they even could speak English (though there was no need). The pizzeria was actually crowded, but we were sitting in a separate hall alone with my husband (gave me another special vibe). I was truly full, hopefully, I’ll try your dessert next time✨

A Michelin-listed pizza joint in the heart of İzmir. Hot, piping pizza filled to the edge with toppings is served in a casual, Italian atmosphere.

Place where you can feel real Italian vibe. Pasta is really good, but carbonara was a little bit salty, recommend to ask for pepper. Pizza has thin, soft, tender dough. Fresh greens, good wine. Caramel dessert was not satisfying. Prices are also high (490₺ for cheese wheel). Service is little bit slowly and suspended. You every time need to attract attention of waiters. Staff speaks English a little.

Be careful! It was okay. Nice staff and atmosfeer, the vegetarian tortellini was tasteful but a bit small. The only thing that really annoyed us that they didn't tell us the bread had to be paid: they just put it on our table but didn't bother to tell us we were going to get charged for it. This is cheating.

Got to this restaurant.. the setting is abit fancier compared to other nearby cafe/restaurant. The food exceeded our expectations, we ordered the sea bass and grilled octopus. They absolutely surprised us. The house wine couldn’t be lovelier pairing for the seafood 😍

My best meals in Izmir for the trip were here. Grilled sea bass was fresh and tasty, their seasonal salad featured greens at their best, and the grilled octopus was simply sublime. We also had a bunch of other amazing side dishes such as the Fava broad bean pate, and believe it or not, they served the best grilled chicken I’ve had in Türkiye. Not bad for a seafood restaurant! Great, inviting restaurant. On waterfront. Good menu - seafood, red meat, chicken, salads, mezze, cold beer and decent wine options. Service was efficient and friendly. Ordered mezze - Fava (Broad bean pate) delicious, with dill, red onion. Mains: Crispy calamari (tender, but very very small sized pieces even as an entree) came with aioli yoghurt, Izgara Köfte (grilled meatballs) served with grilled tomato, pepper, rice, onion, fries - meat was tender. Mixed salad with feta: very minty, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber - no feta???? but shaved cheese on top???? and an overload on red onion. Settled bill via credit card 3,300 TL, including bottle of white wine and water.

We had an amazing experience here! Delicious food, the price was totally fair, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was welcome and cozy. After trying a couple of places in the region, we found this restaurant, fall in love with it and came our last 4 days in a row. We definitely recommend this restaurant!

Lovely seaside atmosphere. It has cozy indoor and outdoor seating. The seafood is amazing. We tried the shrimp tortellini, çobin salad, fish side dish, and grilled sea bass. All these dishes are highly recommended 👌

This was the only evening we had time for dinner and we sought Google Maps for a restaurant near our hotel. İzmir Sakız Alsancak Restaurant was the choice we did and were happy with our choice. We sat outside despite cold and wind, but they turned the heater on, so it was fine. There were few people in the restaurant, but later more people arrived. We had 5 dishes and 3salads some drinks and a bottle of wine. We enjoyed the dinner, especially the fish that I already missed. The service was fast and they were very polite. However, at the end we had unpleasant situation that spoiled the visit. They gave us the bill for 150USD, but when we decided to pay with card, I gave it to my daughter and she went to pay, they charged us additional 10%... As an Uzbekistan citizen I got used to this stuped way of business as the government by making bad laws makes people break the rule. So when I visit abroad I can relax as people do not try to cheat you this way…Anyway, what happened has happened, The restaurant is good, just pay with cash and you will have no negative emotions )

In general the food was nice: fresh and tasty. The disappointment however stays when you leave the restaurant with a feeling of being ripped off. If you pay 500 + 550 (over 20€) for a couple of fried rings of calamari and a few octopus served together on a small plate than you really don’t want to come back there again.

This place is a TOURIST TRAP- Their menu does not have prices for fish entrees or Mezze's. They will ask you to order by looking at these items kept on display in a glass display room. We ended up paying £50 just for some Mezze and a fish. Luckily, that's the only thing I ordered. None of them were worth it. Don't be fooled by the positive reviews!! You don't eat fish here, You are the fish for their dinner!!

Only good thing about this place is that my fish fillet was perfectly grilled. Other than that, this place is a total tourist trap. Everything else we tried was mediocre. They offer no menus, and when I insisted, they brought one without any prices next to each platter! Waiter insisted that we ordered standing in front of window refrigerators where appetizers were standing without any description (or price, of course), and without anyone being able to explain in basic English (just a few english words here and there). Very expensive for Turkish standards, even for a fish restaurant. Very nice restaurant. You can reserve a table inside or in the terrace. They offer chicken, meat, and fish based meals. there is a long list of appetizers and starters to choose from. The desserts are delicious as well. It is really worth visiting!

We were really happy with the quirky server that was really accommodating and the sweet that was ok in the beginning, but then came the bill. We paid 19€ (680TL) for 2 desserts, and we have gone to Michelin star restaurants and have paid less, and their card machine was "broken" and my bf got lost in the agora to find a working ATM. Ultimately, it was really expensive, not that great, and only accepts cash because it scams people. Be careful if you are a foreigner, just do not go there.

One of the most famous desserts originating from Izmir. Meshur Hisaronu Sambalicisi is serving since decades in this location and it’s an awesome place if you’re up for some sweets and tea. You should try the Sambali with extra cream (kaymak)!

First time i tried this sweet. Highly recommended. Really delicious, soft in the middle but crunchy outside. Sweet and with a bit of a nutty flavor. On top, kaymak! Price is allright too, 5TL not bad.

İzmir’s famous street dessert Şambali ”Shumbalee”. Made of semolina, peanuts and syrup. Not too sweet crunchy outside, soft inside good slider after having your lunch next door Söğüsçü. I was born and raised in Izmir. I had this dessert many times before, yet this one is the best. I highly recommend you to try it just like in the video. With cream and cinnamon.

"samba", is a super delicious small dessert, their specialty. Not too syrupy (like some baklava), not fibrous (like baklava), denser than cake (a small finger-size piece is just right size), very tasty. Especially with cream filling (or 'extra cream' if you ask). Seems the only thing they do here and do-it-well they certainly do. Most folks come in large parties, and all order same thing, the sambali with a top of ice cream. Good fun. And...it's not too expensive (90TL for 2 coffee, 2 tea and 2 cakes) relative to other 'fine' dessert shops in town (e.g., Sevinc, Leone) where leaving <150TL is tough to do. There's also some history to the place, the original 1942'ish shop is still standing there (deserted). Seems they also serve the little dessert around the Kemeralti market, whole trays of the little cakes flying out. Seating only outdoor, store front, under shade, lots of activity, drum bands going by etc, usual market chaos and energy. Great place to enjoy a special little treat and a coffee. Seating is not very comfortable, crude wooden tables and benches, made for short people with no legs, but it's ok... Indeed many folks buy the little cakes and keep going (although eating and walking is not usually a Turkish/European behavior). Service fast and friendly, in english even. Selection is slim but that's the point: go there for the sambali, that's all they do.

It's hard eating out when you don't speak the language. The first time I had two fish, they were fried and the chef was eager to please. The second time I went, I didn't see the chef, the single fish was grilled.. I had a salad the second time and a glass of wine. The wait staff, wasn't too efficient. But such is life.

I was there with my closest friends and family a few nights before my wedding. We all loved the food and the service, and I’d definitely come again!

A cozy place to enjoy great food and evening. Food and Meze's were really tasty and reasonably priced. We really enjoyed the Levrek Sish Kebab. Volcano dessert did really top off the amazing atmosphere.

Great local food with a cosy atmosphere! We had lamb with spinach, a variety of vegetables, and bulgor. All tasted great!

We had a lovely meal at Balmumu Dükkan, which serves homemade food. Since it was artichoke and goat season, we made sure to try both — and they were just as seasonal and well-prepared as the rest of the menu. I don’t get to visit İzmir often, but this is definitely a spot I try to stop by whenever I’m in town. A truly nice experience.

It is a very nice place kind of hidden and a side street. Many fresh options on beautiful tasting food. One thing you must know, you need to be seated and they will call you inside to order your food.

My husband booked this French restaurant to dine out on my Birthday. Actually, we’d been there before, probably, 2-3 years ago. The place got renovated, but I was totally disappointed. First of all, the terrace was fully open, and I simply couldn’t hide from hot weather, the air conditioner wasn’t working as powerfully as it should have. Other than that, the menu didn’t have French dishes or anything worth trying. Pricing wasn’t reasonable either. I still nostalgically remember that beautiful evening in winter with live music, delicious food and exquisite interior. In the end, we simply left without ordering anything. I’ll never come here again

We visited on a Wednesday with a reservation, but the place was actually quite empty during the week, so you can also go without one. The staff were very kind and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and pleasant. The menu doesn't have endless options, but it's clear, well-selected, and the dishes are delicious. On the downside, the appetizer bread we got was a bit stale, and the portions felt relatively small. Still, it's a lovely spot where you can enjoy a glass of wine and good conversation. Definitely worth a visit!

This is my fourth time here. We come here because of the vibe. Food is not impressive. Nevertheless this dish ‘la cigale’ was really the worst. It is written.. Fresh pasta with gorgonzola sauce and walnut with spinach??? First… the pasta was NOT FRESH one. The sauce was hardly found or tasted like gorgonzola but more cream. The taste was very bland! Very disappointed… The other dishes were mediocre 🙄🙄

La Cigale is a fabulous restaurant in the Izmir city centre area. Incredible drinks, great food, spectacular ambiance, and live music to go along to make your time here memorable. Staff makes great suggestions for food and drink pairings, and a lot attention is paid to presentation and service. Overall this is a fantastic restaurant if you're looking for Italian food in the area, or if you're just in for some good wine/cocktails.

HORRIBLE . First of all we waited more than a hour just to get our food. The restaurant was empty ,had only 4 tables occupied . The food was horrible. Going to share pictures. The paella wasn’t well cooked, smelled bad , the rice was hard , wasn’t well cooked, had lot of cream or water . It was like porridge. The meat plate was so bad , couldn’t eat it. We left it that way . We told the waiter how bad the food was but didn’t care. Avoid this restaurant. I don’t understand how they got all these reviews.

Not a fancy restaurant, don’t expect shiny tables and new dishes. This is a street food restaurant, which makes the best kokoreç ever you would get. It is always fresh and never disappoints for its taste. It is usually closed on public holidays. So call before you get there.

The kokoreç was actually awful, the worst I have ever had in Izmir. Additionally, I have never seen a restaurant run so poorly, the service was so unprofessional and slow that we had to get our own drinks from the fridge! On top of that, each item we ordered came to our table at a different time. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Kokoreç since 1960s👏👏 This place has a 60 year old history. And again, I love places where they keep the quality at the same level for a long time. Management, if you read this, tell your staff that if they bring anything to the table that has to be charged- they have to let customers know about it (in our case, waiter poured water without asking us and then I found water in a bill). Then plz, we have chosen your afternoon tea but the price is not mentioned in a menu. We asked how much is it and waiter or a manager (guy was in a blue suit) said “let me check it”. Seriously… staff doesn’t know the prices of your lunch offer? And BTW he said it is 900 but in a bill it is 950. When the other waiter came to us and we said that we want to have afternoon tea, he said “ok! With 2 Prosecco”. But we told him plz bring the aperol, and his face was like he has never heard about even the existence of Aperol spritz. You have service charge by default included in a bill. Why? I didn’t want to leave this amount of tips. When I asked if it is possible to remove it the answer was “sorry it is already included to the whole bill”.

The seafood spaghetti was just bad. The pasta texture is not al dente at all, very mushy. It was also lack of taste. The amount of seafood was very little for 4xx ₺ It was my first time eating here and got already bad impression. The other dish was ok but the pasta was too thick.

the food was great, however medium meat was cooked well done, now i definitely know in Turkey i have to say rare to get medium, also the meat was cooked unevenly, they should tie a string to prevent that. Otherwise, one of the better restaurants I have been to in Turkey, the service is spectacular. Definitely should order the Tiramisu and Risotto was also cooked to perfection.

Staff was attentive but felt like over friendly as they tried to offer things without asking which was rude in my opinion. Overall atmosphere was okay but lacked Italian flare. Clean toilets available downstairs.

çok lezzetli I was looking for Turkish food that is not kebap. I ordered two dishes which were a bit too much for me. Nevertheless I was able to finish the lamb shank. Both dishes were very delicious. They cost me 115 Tlr. I went again and was charged double for a lamb shank !!!! Even taking the inflation into account, 100% is too much in two weeks. The other food was the same price. i won’t go again. NOT HONEST!

A very nice found in the old bazar of Izmir. It’s definitely not a fancy restaurant but the food is just extremely good and fresh. One of my best lokanta restaurant in Turkey. Prices are average to cheap for what you get and for 2 people with a lot of différents plates we paid 115tl that is almost 7$. On special days they prepare a very good fish soup that you should try if you’re into seafood (balik corba). I’d you’re visiting the old bazar of Izmir I recommend you to give a try to this restaurant. A special thanks to the family working there, they were super nice and friendly with us.

Perfect fish soup for a cold morning! The fish soup- balik corbalar was the only dish available at 9am in the morning yet it was the only dish I wanted to try, lucky me. The fish was really fresh, yet without the fishy taste and the soup was tangy and rich. Can’t figure out what was added in the soup but real amazing dish.

Had delicious fish soup here today. The place is beloved by many locals and serves great food. I would recommend adding a splash of lemon and the brown bread (over the white bread) with the soup.

Amazing taste! Amazing people of high value. All workes better than the other ones to support you in your wishes. Special orders, which are out of Menu's, are not a problem. Amazing setting. The view and the arrangement of the garden is chilling and romantic at the same time. Rooms available, considering the drive, can be a good idea to crash there after wine&dine. Reds are rather young. Vinaida 5 is promising, needs to age further. Rose is good. Ayda bağları remains an exquisite experience, perfect place to make special occasions even more special. The Pinot noir was delicately matched, and the main meet dish marked the very first time ever I actually enjoyed a dish that contains celery. They went out of their way to accommodate a picky eater like me who cannot stand onions or garlic in any form.

Heaven on earth. Come right before sunset. Due to surrounding hills sunset takes more than an hour. Wines are really good, try pinot noir.

The Vinaida Rose Pinot Noir wine was our favorite. Had a visit with our 2 year old kid, had great time. The wine was more than perfect but the cheese platter could do better.

This restaurant is on the top of the hill in the Gödence village, has a beautiful sunset view and an accommodating service. The way there by car is somewhat difficult.

There’re places you visit just “passing by”. Nice and cute places. But also there are other places - you actually hit the road to GET there. "Ayda Vineyards" is one of that special places. Its a boutique, authentic place - winery itself, restaurant, wine tasting room and a small (only 6 suits) hotel. You can’t stop by - it’s far from the main road, you have to know about this place and you’ll drive to GET there (road is bumpy and narrow but not long - drive safely!). The winery is on the top of a hill - you have 360 degree panoramic view of the area - stunning! specially during the sunset. Amazing, carefully picked up music collection is playing at the background - harmonically couples with the whole atmosphere. We’re honoured to meet in person Mrs.Ayda herself and got some interesting details about the vineyards and the production itself. She is very knowledgeable but humble. Polite and careful person - you can feel it from the first moment she speaks to you. At the moment “Ayda Vineyards” produces two whites, a rose and four reds under the trademark Vinaida. All dry. All well balanced, with complicated bouquets, rich in tannins (reds), good for ageing (Merlot, Shiraz and Pinot Noir - our favs!), Rose - didn’t expect to find that much rich bouquet here in Turkey. The food cooked locally on the winery’ restaurant kitchen with the local Aegean products, hints and flavours. Very delicious! There are options for the vegans. If you decide to visit the winery do your best and after enjoyable evening (wines are beautiful in colour, strong in taste and unique in bouquet) with dinner at the sunset (my advice) prolong the “nirvana experience” and stay for a night (reservation is a must!!!). There are only 6 rooms!!! Enjoy the wines, inhale the fresh air with pine and olive trees aromas, have delicious dinner with some local cheese variety, stay and sleep deeply - in the morning you will be rewarded not only with a feeling of being energised, happy and fulfilled but (some materialistic award this time) with the amazing breakfast served in the garden. Note: I was not asked to write this text. This is my own true personal opinion. We were really lucky to get to know Mrs.Ayda and the winery. Hope to come again!

Great coffee by starbucks reserve. Unfortunately they don’t have coffee press which is disappointing. Staff are great specially Havva, she is so professional and polite.

Every time I come something is missing. No change in register. No whole milk 3%. Also isn’t it standart to greet people on the register? Coffee is burning hot. They just don’t listen or care anymore.

The Kumru sandwiches here were incredibly fresh, both the cheese-only and the cheese with sucuk salami. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure our preferences were met. A great spot for quality food and excellent service.

This is a classic "hole in the wall" kind of place. Don't expect anything fancy or great hygiene BUT... If you are interested in street food then you must try their "kumru". Kumru is actually the kind of bread they use while making this sandwich. It is cooked over a charcoal grill. It has kaşar cheese and sucuk as the main ingredient, which are both grilled, then you can have fresh tomato, sliced pickle and tomato paste. I recommend having all of them, as they definitely add to the taste. They use quality ingredients and it tastes really good.

Overrated. You have to wait at least 10-15minutes, then there is no space to sit, bread is not soft its not worth to quality.

Veli Usta in Kordon is always a name you can rely on — consistently fresh fish, well-prepared appetizers and salads that reflect real care in the kitchen. The senior waiters truly stand out with their experience and attentiveness, clearly more polished than the juniors. Still, overall service is warm and welcoming. With its great location and solid price-performance, it’s definitely worth a visit if you're after a satisfying seafood experience by the sea.

The seafood is okay here and the prices for some items are a little high. However, their salads are exceptionally well built with generous portions. I've been there twice and both times the place was Lively with many other customers all having a good time.

Pretty good seafood restaurant. It was delicious overall, and the service was simply amazing. The only downside is the price, we paid ~100TL per person without alcohol. but overall good dinner. Please note that this is also a Veli Usta restaurant, which is a famous chain in Izmir. We struggled a lot on logistics & visited 2 other Veli Usta restaurants before reaching here.

fantastic. literally. we were doing sign language w the waiter the entire time and honestly he was the one that made our entire experience there nothing short of fantastic. i saw one of the waiters carrying a plate of pide which looked different from the ones we are used to and the waiter took notice of this, and immediately brought the menu over and pointed to what item it was - where else would you get such service? the moment you step in to the shop, you can literally tell it’s a pide institution - from the walls plastered with photos dating from the past, to the smell of the freshly made pide?!?!? and wow. the smell did not lie. this pide was literally one of the best i’ve ever eaten. thank you to the same waiter who kept refilling our plates w salad as well! if i were to be in izmir longer, i would definitely BALLOON from coming here all the time.

We have gone to Numan pide several times and the quality is always topnotch. The most delicious pides and lahmacuns I have ever eaten in Turkiye. Their kavurma pide is a legend! Clean, pro, delicious, and nice staff! Highly recommend here.

This is a Turkish pide shop that has been around since 1988. They have many toppings you can choose from. They have plain cheese, cheese with egg, ground or minced beef etc. I ordered their ground beef and egg (kıymalı yumurtalı) and also cheese and plain ground beef. They were both very good. I don't think you can go wrong. Think about it like a Turkish pizza :) Don't expect much for the atmosphere because it is a place you go for a quick bite, Turkish style fast food but it is still cooked to order. The Cafe is a bit hidden at the Corner somewhere in kemeralti market İzmir . We can see surrounding by pictures of turkish famous people as far ı know :) . The cafe atmosphere is cool, nice , design with turkish tables and turkish chairs. They served Good coffee with "lokum" or turkish delight as a condiment. Chill, cozy, and comfort in the middle of crowded market. 😉

The best place to stop for a break for tea and especially turkish coffee while shopping in kemeraltı. Will miss you but definitely will return when i come back to Izmir

Heard about this place through social media and wanted to bring some back home. Made a mistake and ordered a mix box without tasting first. That tiny box cost me 40€. No special taste. Doesn’t worth the money. I’m not saying it’s terrible but price taste performance isn’t good. Probably too popular and therefore super elevated price. Need to be careful with social media marketing.

Tasted all 3 different types of sweets and the 2 types of chocolates (which you have to ask) that was kept away from view. Pistachio, almond and walnut. Almond marzipan is the best of the three. The dark chocolate with marzipan filling and milk chocolate with pistachios filling are both excellent. 1 kg in the luggage to go home with us. 😋

Erhan Usta and his paste desserts are legendary. Very well balanced sugar in pistachio and almond pastes. (Except Wallnut pastes) He has a small atelier at the back of his shop. All desserts are handmade and daily. A must visit culinary spot in Izmir.
