Located on the Bouregreg River, Le Dhow stands out as a unique attraction in Rabat's lively nightlife and dining scene. It is not just an ordinary venue; it is a revamped boat that now serves as a restaurant and lounge. Guests can enjoy a diverse selection of flavors and drinks while taking in stunning panoramic views of the river and cityscape.
It was my first time here with my husband , and I really enjoyed the experience! The place itself is unique, it’s actually a large boat 🛥️ anchored at the Marina of Rabat, which already gives it a special charm. The ambiance was lively yet relaxing, perfect for spending a nice evening by the water. We had a tasty beer 🍻 and truly appreciated the great service. Although we didn’t get the chance to try their cuisine this time. The view from the boat is just incredible you can watch the marina’s calm waters, see people swimming nearby, and even spot fish right next to you. It feels like a mix between a floating lounge and a peaceful escape. Definitely a spot I’d come back to, especially to try the food next time!

The atmosphere and the service are amazing. The staff is friendly, we were helped to and from our table, greeted with smiles and sent with smiles. The food however can use some improvements. The cocktails we ordered were rather watery and didn’t taste like their regular versions and for me the steak, that I ordered was really dry, at least the veggies and the sauce were really tasty. We tried traditional Moroccan salads (would recommend specifically the Taktouka and Zaalouk) and also the duck. The duck was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. So, in a nutshell, a place with nice view and atmosphere, be choose what you order carefully - might be great, might be hard to swallow.
Анна Н — Google review
We went to this restaurant because we had heard a lot of good things about the quality and taste of the dishes it offers. Honestly, we really enjoyed the food, the dishes were indeed delicious. However, we found the prices of soft drinks and fruit juices quite high compared to what you can find in America, Europe, Australia, or even elsewhere in the world. The customer service was excellent! A gentleman served us; he spoke several languages and was very attentive to our requests. Up to that point, everything was great. However, our experience was completely spoiled afterward, which literally brought down our overall impression of the place. We had to pay a total of 1566 DH, and we handed 1600 DH to the same gentleman from the customer service team, saying “You can keep the change,” because we truly appreciated his professional service and his communication with us. But that’s when our experience took a turn for the worse. The man came back to us after counting the money and told us we needed to pay a 10% commission. We didn’t think too much about it at the time and gave him an additional 100 DH. Later, though, we couldn’t stop thinking about how strange it was for an employee to ask for a commission on the restaurant’s sales, since he works for them. Before leaving, we went to speak with the manager or team leader and explained our situation. The team leader confirmed that the restaurant does not operate on a commission system and that employees do not receive commissions from individual clients. This confirmed our suspicions. Unfortunately, even after calling over the staff member in question, the team leader couldn’t do anything except apologize to us. The staff member, on the other hand, completely changed his story. He tried to make us believe that clients often give extra money as a tip, and that we were misunderstanding. But we are not stupid, that’s exactly why we said, “You can keep the change.” The staff member tried to justify himself in every possible way, but honestly, that completely ruined our experience. We’ve decided not to return to this restaurant, which is a shame because we had planned to come back with friends and recommend it to more people. The issue is not the 100 DH itself, but the feeling of being deceived and taken for fools. If the 10% commission were truly something applied to all customers, the waiter should have followed through correctly, because a simple calculation shows that 10% of 1566 is around 156 DH, not 100 DH. We just find it foolish to ruin such a positive experience, especially since we were extremely satisfied with the overall customer service. Why spoil everything like that? Unfortunately, we left feeling disappointed.

Pleasantly Surprised Le Dhow was better than expected! I had the octopus and tuna starter, which was well-prepared. The place itself is a bit tatty around the edges, but it has charm, and the staff were really pleasant and welcoming. A nice spot for a casual meal with a view.
Rae R — Google review
One of the most memorable dinners we’ve had in Morocco! The paella was absolutely the best, perfectly cooked, flavorful, and generous in portion. We started with fresh grilled octopus, which was tender and full of flavor. The staff were attentive and welcoming, making us feel relaxed throughout the evening. Highly recommend Le Dhow if you’re in Rabat and want great food with an unforgettable setting.

We were in Rabat over Halloween and this was our favourite haunt. Perfect location, beautiful views, lovely decor, friendly staff, yummy food, great atmosphere! We enjoyed it so much that we went back again for lunch the next day!
Marion S — Google review
I had a lovely experience here: tasty food, friendly staff, nice view above marina. I completely recommend the seafood lasagna, it was very tasty and consistent. The swordfish skewers were served in a fancy way and the fish was incredibly tasty. 💙
Irina T — Google review
We went for wine and the view, it was pretty good. Anyways, we ordered some food and the pizza was really bad. The atmosphere is pretty full of man, one table even sent a bunch of tequila shots for us - which we didn’t drink - so not that safe for women going by themselves. ‼️ Just saw the restaurant owner response. You don’t need to be a pizzeria to serve a good pizza. Food for kids should be as good as for adults.

Nestled in the heart of Rabat's old Medina, Dar Zaki is a top choice for those seeking an authentic Moroccan dining experience. Housed in a traditional Andalusian-style building, the restaurant offers a charming setting with tables spread across various patios, dining rooms, and an outdoor terrace on the upper floor. The menu features classic Moroccan dishes such as tajines and pastelas, known for their deliciously complex flavors.
Best food experience in Rabat until now purely in terms of taste. Top service and great atmosphere. Cozy. Top interior too. and it is in the Medina. A lot going for this place. Price relatively higher than some other places, but the quantity is more as well - so just order a touch less and share :-) Totally worth it. Tip: Get in early like us (we were there 10 min before opening at 7pm and were done before the place filled up) or reserve a table.
Kapil G — Google review
Hidden behind a mirrored door, the restaurant appeared closed upon arrival. However, the door opened after a minute or two of standing outside and we were welcomed into the restaurant by our server. The decor inside was gorgeous and the room was laid out in a traditional manner with one central part to the room and 3 alcoves with tables in each. We are both veggie so we ordered vegetarian cous cous and vegetarian . The restaurant was busy and food took some time to come out, which would suggest that it’s all freshly prepared. The food was delicious and worth the waiting time. Overall I would recommend this restaurant as it has a buzzy atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food.
M. B — Google review
The food was good, but the service was terrible we were told to sit where we wanted among the three tables but later were moved to the least liked table, as 2 people who were dressed better arrived!!! the waitress was rude and could not tell tell the difference between two types of sausages for couscous, she was just ignoring us when we tried to order deserts. Also this place is overpriced for nothing, there was no good atmosphere in that place, was really loud and noisy and the waitress made it even worse. Half of the menu was not available Also it’s TOURIST TRAP !!! There are way more nicer places out there and with better prices.
Olga G — Google review
Great culinary experience in Rabat at Dar Zaki. The restaurant offers Moroccan typical cousine, with interesting varieties of tajine and Pastilla. We tried the lamb and aubergine and Chicken and apricots ones. The location indoor is stunning. Prices are slightly above Moroccan restaurant’s average, but with purpose.
Lorenzo P — Google review
Nice restaurant with pleasant staff , menu a bit short but you find some good food there. Over all happy from the visit and good value for money, loved the in side decor.
Tomasz N — Google review
Our drivers dropped us off on the other end of the Medina (Old Town) and we navigated through the street maze to get to this restaurant. I did my research before arriving to Rabat about where to get the best foods, and Dar Zaki did not disappoint. The service was unrushed and efficient, the foods were really good. I really enjoyed my Brania (Lamb Tagine with Eggplant Fritters), my wife liked her Vegetarian Pastilla, our friends finished their Chicken Tagine w Preserved Lemons & Olives, Chicken Couscous w Vegetables & Caramelized Onions. The menu does not offer alcohol (which is perfectly fine with us). The prices were reasonable. At the end, the chef-owner Isham walked our group back to the parking area where our drivers were waiting (thank you for your hospitality). If you visit Rabat and want to experience authentic Moroccan cuisine, ensure to reach out to Dar Zaki.

Great atmosphere and food. We had the lamb shank and the meatball tagines. Delicious!
Douglas L — Google review
The best meal we had in Rabat! We had the lamb tajine and vegetable couscous, we would definitely recommend them both. The flavours in the lamb dish was so complex and had a lot of depth in it, and the meat itself was so tender. The couscous was so fine and the accompanying sauce very buttery. The service was lovely and it was a very calm atmosphere to escape into away from the souks Definitely would be back again!

Ty Potes is a charming restaurant in Rabat, Morocco, known for its menu inspired by the Brittany region of France. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes such as luscious salads and buckwheat crepes. The colorful interior design and garden patio create a pleasant ambiance for guests to enjoy their unique and light dishes, including mixed global tapas. Additionally, the grocery store provides imported products from countries like France, offering Gallic delicacies to customers.
If you are in Rabat you must stop here for a bite in a sweet idyllic garden with excellent food and delicious wine.

Lovely French oysters, different from the ones your tend to get in Morocco. Smaller but sweeter as well.

The taste is very fresh, and there is no heavy seasoning. I like it very much.
Xinyu L — Google review
My fiancé and I had the pleasure of dining at Ty Potes in Rabat on December 26, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. We went for a romantic evening date around 9 PM, and from the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with warmth and exceptional service. To start, we indulged in a beautifully arranged cheese and charcuterie platter, paired with expertly crafted drinks. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was stunning. For the main course, we chose the homemade bread tartine topped with tender beef fillets, white sauce, and a blend of spices. Every bite was a testament to the kitchen’s dedication to quality and flavor—it was simply divine! What truly set the evening apart was the surprise the staff prepared for us. Upon learning that we were celebrating our engagement, they treated us to a decadent slice of chocolate cake served with a scoop of ice cream. It was a thoughtful and touching gesture that made our night even more special. The ambiance at Ty Potes is cozy and intimate, making it an ideal spot for a date night or a celebration. The service was impeccable; the staff was attentive and genuinely kind, ensuring every detail of our evening was perfect. As for the price, the total came to 400 MAD, which included everything mentioned above. While it may be on the higher side for casual outings, it’s absolutely worth it for special occasions. The quality of the food, the ambiance, and the outstanding service make it a worthwhile indulgence. If you’re looking for a place in Rabat to celebrate a milestone or simply enjoy an exceptional evening with a loved one, I wholeheartedly recommend Ty Potes. It’s a restaurant that goes above and beyond to make your moments memorable. We can’t wait to return!

French bistro dining in central Rabat — fashionably casual, artistic. Moroccan oysters served on the half-shell — big on brininess; lemon or mignonette is key. Wide selection of savory, lightly-crisp buckwheat crepes. Tartiflette filling, yum.

I came across this spot for a casual quick lunch and it quickly became a favorite. We ordered the complete and coin coin galettes, and both were delicious! They come with a side of salad included which is always appreciated. Their location is super cozy too. I would love to try their other items and will come back soon! Definitely a spot to recommend.

Remarkably good. A great atmosphere and the food was just perfect. If we'd had more time in Rabat we would have gone back for another visit. An absolute must if you're in the city and fancy a delicious French meal :)

Restaurant
Dar Naji is a popular Moroccan restaurant found in the heart of Rabat's old town. Themed around traditional food from the country, it offers an atmospheric setting and good value for money. Guests can enjoy chicken tajine and mountains of cold appetizers at their own table or share dishes with others at a communal table. It is popular with locals and tourists alike, making it perfect for a social outing.
Such a fun and local experience. My family and I had a dinner at Dar Naji where the staff made sure we are well taken care of. The wait time at the queue was merely 10/15 minutes which is quite doable. The atmosphere was 10 out of 10, the food came very fast and it was delicious. Welcome hand was was very cute. The entertainment crew was so on point. Great family place☺️

This place is electric! The food/service is outstanding, too. There is more than one location but this one has beautiful ocean views. Traditional/authentic Moroccan cuisine with a touch of singing/dancing...how can you go wrong. We had tagine with chicken, lamb, and lamb with veggies so we could try everything. The flavors were outstanding! And of course amazing bread and taktouka, zaalouka, marinated carrots for dipping. Great place to share great food...and like most places in Morocco, the service is amazing, friendly, and so very welcoming.
William C — Google review
Dar Naji was such a memorable experience—easily one of our favorite meals in Morocco. We tried the tagine (absolutely delicious), the fish, noodles, chicken, a flavorful mix of cooked vegetables, and fresh, warm bread. I completely indulged—everything was rich with spice, perfectly balanced, and deeply comforting. The tea service at the end was the highlight—so much ceremony and excitement, and the sweets served alongside were just right. The decor matches the spirit of the place—colorful, textured, and full of character. It’s located right on the ocean, across from a small luxury mall, with windows flung open to let in the sea breeze and a view that’s hard to beat. Service was attentive and warm. An unforgettable experience all around.

Absolutely amazing Moroccan cuisine! The flavors were rich, authentic, and full of warm spices that made every bite unforgettable. The tagine was cooked to perfection. A big thanks to Khawla, She made me feel truly welcome and went above and beyond to ensure i had a great experience. Thank you, Khawla! Highly recommended!

The outdoor sitting area was the highlight of my visit; it overlooks Bab el Had. The atmosphere was awesome, with an authentic Moroccan ambiance. On my latest visit, I ate the Trid. It was good -- not great, not bad. I have tried a variety of dishes here in the past, and my sentiment remains the same: the food is consistently decent but rarely exceptional. Also, be aware some dishes might be unavailable depending on the demand.
Rajae F — Google review
A beautiful traditional Moroccan restaurant with a great view and a spacious interior that’s very well managed. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff were genuinely kind and attentive throughout our visit. We tried several dishes, and every single one was delicious. The highlights for me were the Tanjia and the Rfissa Prestige, rich in flavor and beautifully presented. Personally, I would have preferred the Rfissa without the dates and dried figs, but the unique blend gave it a truly distinguished taste. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic Moroccan dining experience with excellent service.
Fziza — Google review
Great atmosphere, real Moroccan look for tourists, food was nice. Service quict and very polite. Eat traditional Moroccan food while you are already there.. Affordable prices.

If you would like to experience Moroccan traditions, this is the place to go! Everything from the interior to the clothes of the staff represents the culture. We had tajines and rfissa - everything was very delicious! The tea was also excellent. We were also impressed by how polite and friendly the staff are, we are especially thankful to Karim who made our visit unforgettable! Thank you!

Dinarjat is a top-rated Moroccan restaurant located in the heart of Rabat's medina. Housed in a beautifully renovated Arab-Andalusian-style residence, this restaurant offers an exclusive dining experience for visitors. The ambiance is enhanced by live folkloric music, creating an enchanting atmosphere to savor authentic Moroccan cuisine. With its central location and exquisite traditional dishes, Dinarjat is a favorite among both tourists and locals alike.
What a memorable dining experience! We were a group of 4, came to Dinarjat for lunch. I was specifically interested to have salad. Menu listed two salads, 1. Fine salad, 2. Rich salad. Upon asking, we learned that rich salad had liver and brain. We opted for fine salad which was absolutely delicious. We ordered two tajine dishes, 1. Tajine tfaya (lamb), 2. Tajine Jarret de veau (veal). Prior to food served, the hostess brought water & towels to wash hands. We may term this place as high end restaurant (bill to Morocco Darham: 1133) however we are exceptionally satisfied (in fact very happy) with the fine food quality, service and above all ambiance. I highly recommend, if you are on the lookout for a unique and amazing experience.
Agha D — Google review
You are paying for the atmosphere and service, not the quality of the food. What I ordered was VERY PLAIN, my friend's dishes were better but only marginally. Considering the price point, I would consider it a crime against food an insult to intelligence. There was very nice live music, and location was amazing. I would say go if you are in Rabat but only for drinks, DO NOT order this food at this price point.

Noon to eat, is very hard to find outside looks like not in business, but push the door into the very obvious Moroccan flavor, food flavor general price is slightly higher, experience the Moroccan flavor restaurant can try!

Our hotel recommended here for dinner . I guess they receive commission. My chicken was as dry as Sahara desert . May be cooked few days ago and just placed in a bowl of sauce . Terrible food ! My chair was wobbly. Very uncomfortable seating . This is a tourist trap . Don’t believe other reviews they are made up !

Delicious lunch experience here. Excellent service. Especially enjoyed the many small plates (all delicious!) and desserts. Highly recommended.

We have been here four times. It is always an incredible experience magicians food presentation taste. It really is incomparable and so this is by far my favorite restaurant and all of Morocco the attentive nature of Mr Adelkader the manager makes it all worthwhile. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Great place for gastronomy and overall atmosphere. It is an expensive place, but for a caprice one night, or a romantic dinner it is worthwhile.
Emmanuel R — Google review
Dinarjat is in the Alou neighborhood of the Medina of Rabat. You can follow google maps to find your way there through the twisted streets of the old city. It’s best to park outside the walls and walk from there. I”the restaurant’s unassuming exterior makes the interior even more of an unexpected delight! You will have to tuck your head and step over a high transom to enter through the wood door. From there you will be ushered into a palatial two story high room, with elegant tables set with heavy white tablecloths, quality table settings, wine and water glasses and covered with red rose petals. Seating is on plush velvet settees with comfortable pillows behind you. The dining room itself is breathtaking: Antique tile, very high arches and carvings, Romantically up lighting all in the Andalusian style The red bathroom was so unique it merited a photo too. There were even rose petals in the sink The house was built in the early 20th century and was owned by two families and at one time was a riad before being sold to its current owner who transformed it into a restaurant. The meal begins with an assortment of salads set in the middle of the table - eggplant, lentils, salad, potatoes, zucchini, filo rolls of chicken, meat and vegetable, carrots… What made them so delicious was the unique blends of spices and herbs. The chef is very talented! They offer wine and beer as well as non alcoholic drinks Following the first courses comes a wide assortment of roasted vegetables stuffed with a delicious beef mixture. They also offer vegetable or fish tagine. Everything was excellent! Dessert is a gorgeous “pearl” pie made with filo, crème anglaise and rose water. The waitress cut and served it at the table and it was fantastic The prices are high for Morocco but Dinarjet is not just a meal, it’s an experience and well worth the cost A lute player, percussionist, and singer entertain, playing andalusi and moroccan tunes. At our dinner, we began to clap and all of a sudden the chef was there and we were all dancing and clapping among the tables - greet fun to cap a wonderful evening.

Dar El Medina is a traditional Moroccan restaurant located in the heart of Rabat's Medina. It attracts both locals and tourists, offering authentic, spicy, and colorful Moroccan cuisine in generous portions. The restaurant is housed in an old-style Moroccan house with a central garden and traditional furniture, providing a special dining experience. Additionally, it features a teahouse section where guests can enjoy tea served on traditional brass trays amidst cushions and rugs.
What a great find! It's located down one of the side alley's within the Medina. The entrance to the restaurant is really plain but once you enter the restaurant you get a real appreciation of the place. Everything about it was top notch... The place is a traditional dar decorated nicely. The food is delicious. The service is fast, good and friendly and the price is very reasonable. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good traditional Moroccan cuisine.

The gastronomy was pretty good. The couscous and tajine were good not excellent but the salads and the pastilla were great! 135 MAD for a full menu is more than descent. The place is good in the heart of Rabat medina and close to souks and shops. 4 stars because they do not accept card payments which is UNACCEPTABLE anymore! Morocco is a touristic country so this is why u have all to accept cards. Cash is a shame!
Nader G — Google review
I found the food here very disappointing. We paid 145 MAD for three salads and a main, which felt extremely overpriced considering the limited menu options. The quality did not match the price — the dishes were average at best. To make matters worse, there was a piece of plastic in my chicken and lemon tagine, and the couscous was bland with no real flavor. For what we paid, I expected much better. Overall, this was not a good dining experience. I definitely do not recommend it and will not be returning. There are far better places to spend 145 MAD on food in Rabat.

The service was really good all of them were friendly and paying attention in case you needed anything. The food was really delicious and well cooked (although it's a bit more expensive than other restaurants but worth the price) the drinks are good too. I'd recommend this place for sure

I stayed at the hotel next door so I decided to give a try at this restaurant. I ordered a fish dish and mineral water. The fish was okey and side dishes as well. However the mineral water was just a plastic bottle 50 cl not the glass bottle. It’s a bit pricey but overall good. Smoking is allowed at this place and it can be annoying for some people.

Great food, great atmosphere, and great service ! The quality of the food is exquisite, the ingredients are fresh and it’s super tasty, the menu has plenty of options which is very nice. Now the prices are a bit high for locals I would say. The service is very good, he was always reactive and close to our table, paying attention. The atmosphere was so nice, there was a live Arabic band, it was a special night, normally it’s a jazz spot. Everyone was singing and dancing while eating, it’s super entertaining:) I highly recommend this place

Fancy without being too expensive (compared to UK prices). The chefs clearly care about every single dish, everything is cooked to perfection. The Sicilian Penne (vegetarian) and the Lamb Knee were both absolutely fantastic. Really high quality food.

We eventually didn't notice the restaurant. Three man security at the entrance of the restaurant made it look like a club. But inside it was a mixture, bar/ club and restaurant. And the food is good!! Nice servicing staff. Good value for your money.

Restaurant
La Menora, located in the heart of Rabat near the main metro station, offers a unique blend of Spanish and Moroccan ambiance. The indoor area exudes an elegant touch while the Moroccan-style patio provides a classic setting for guests to enjoy specially made dishes from traditional herbs and staple food cultivated in their own garden. The restaurant's Spanish Moorish vibe adds to its charm, with various dining rooms spread across the old building that exude Moroccan tradition in both flavors and presentation of dishes.
We visited this place for dinner. It was nice and relaxing atmosphere. English menu weee provided. We ordered assorted cooked salads to share. Eggplant and bell peppers salads were very good, as about beets, we are not much into them, but they were not bad. Than I ordered Beef tajine kebab and my wife ordered “Maroccan Mrouzia” ( sweet lamb tajine). Mine was very good, but her choice was unexpectedly sweet and tender and combination of meet, sweet raisins and almonds was great. We both liked her choice much better Deserts were ok, but not that extraordinary: chocolate cake with ice cream and frozen nougat with almonds. Wine was not cheap, that’s why price tag a bit on high end. Overall, we were glad that visited this place it was nice and tasty experience

love the decor & ambiance! Foods are decent with nothing outstanding in taste or portion. Grilled steak was thinly sliced and grilled too cooked thus steak was too dried and unevenly cooked. Lamb shank, grilled shrimps and puff chicken pastry were tasty. Great service overall!

We weren’t hungry, however had to have dinner. The lamb tagine was v good. We also have a side salad. Fall off the bones lamb . Nicely presented too. We enjoyed our light dinner. Shared between my hubby & I.

An intimate Restaurant, tucked away behind an unassuming door, hides some of the *best* restaurant experiences one can have in Rabat. The decor, with the small indoor fountain, and the subdued lights, creates a cozy and intimate atmosphere - bring your romantic dates here. The food and drinks are always excellent. Not exceptional, but excellent. I have tried all their starters and Tajines and recommend *all* of them. The drinks and wine list is also very good - not eclectic, but very, very good. Service is good, maybe sometimes a bit to reserved - but that may be due to my weak signalling as well. The prices are very fair. All in all - la Menora is one if those increasingly hard to find "secret" tips in Rabat. If you'd like some space and calm for your group or romantic partner, this restaurant will be perfect. It's not fancy or extravagant - but it's good. Kerp it a secret please ;)

Typical Moroccan cuisine. Traveled with Gate 1 In the heart of Rabat, the restaurant La Menora invites you to enjoy authentic and accessible Moroccan-Mediterranean cuisine, including tagines, grilled meats, fish, pastries, etc. In the privacy of the shaded patio or the dining room, we offer you an ideal setting for a romantic evening, a business dinner or simply a moment of relaxation with friends, from Monday to Saturday, lunchtime and evening.

We were supposed to try the restaurant across the street but it's closing at 7pm. So we saw this restaurant and decided to try as we're really tired after long flight.... The decorations is so pretty and there's no other customers when we walked in. We were a bit nervous. Maybe it's very expensive? Maybe the food tastes awful? We ordered fish and lamb. Out of our surprise, they tasted good and it's not expensive! (330MAD) BTW, a group of people came in after we ordered... 😁 Just one last thing to mention is you need to wait quite a long time for the food to come... Even those there was not many customers there.

Café Maure, located in the Kasbah of the Udayas in Rabat, is a popular spot for both locals and tourists. The café offers stunning views of the Bou Regreg River and retains its original charm with sunny terraces that are perfect for enjoying spring and summer. Visitors can savor delicious mint tea served with traditional almond cakes known as ghriba. The open-air café overlooks the river and features mosaic tiles, creating a typical Moroccan ambiance.
Lovely terrace cafe situated in the heart of the Rabat casbah, stunning views of neighboring Sale and Mohamed VI Tower. Come for the quintessentially Moroccan mint tea (with no sugar preferred). Choose from your heart’s desire of Moroccan pastries served by old gentleman circulating with trays heaped in these delicacies.

This is a beautiful cafe right outside of Bab Oudayas by the sea. The setting is outdoors with lots of seats to view the ocean. We came for snacks and were greeted with cookies and mint tea. Very nice after a long day of touring Rabat.

One of my favorite spots—this café has the perfect view of Wadi Bou Regreg. The vibe is always calm and inspiring. I could sit there for hours just watching the water and sketching ideas
Ahmed Q — Google review
This is an obvious stop for many tourists in the Kasbah because of the view, which is worth it. The tea wasn’t very good as it tasted like it was sitting for too long and was thus too bitter, but we enjoyed our time here nonetheless. We wanted to use the bathroom, but it was very gross and the male attendants were waiting directly outside of the doors. We passed on using them. Finding a seat can be challenging. In the shade, even more challenging.

Enjoy the charming terrace boasting breathtaking views. While comfort might not be extravagant, it adds to its distinctiveness. While visiting from abroad, decided to have dinner with family members on 23 October. Great place if and only if the service was a bit better. Frowning server with a very dry tone. Okay, forgrt about the server. Tried to order Seabass with Ratatouille ( Server: Non madam, it is only served with St Pierre). 1 star so far. Ended up ordering Seabass as is and St Pierre to get the ratatouille. Als, Paella Valencienne: Amazing taste and flavors, and that made me jump to 5 stars. We ended up getting 2 seabass with two different sidedishes. The waiter insisted it was a st pierre! Back to 1 star. All in all, invest in training your people. Don't like the service. Don't like lack of parking validation Don't like fish: felt it was not fresh or rather defrosted Love the outdoors Love the paella. Love the senior host (Fassi Accent, a bit mature) If you care about my opinion, I will see change when I come for my paella next time and salade araignée (was not available). Recommendation: make indoors non smoking 🚭. Sorry for any typos. All in the spirit of improvement.

Very nice place to enjoy a good meal and specially a good, tasty fresh fish. The place is nice, the sitting in front of the marina is pleasant although you might need to book a table beforehand to enjoy the best view. The service is good, I gave it 3 stars only because you have to wait for a little while before getting an available waiter.ress and getting your order. .. the waitress was nice and friendly and gave us good recommendation regarding the main dish.. The food was delicious and fresh, up to expectations. They have two restaurant (Spanish and Italian card) so make sure to ask for both coz it's not automatic. The prices are a bit expensive...but worth the experience!
Bouchra G — Google review
No one speaks English, not even one word. Look at the price thought it is fine dining but the staffs know nothing about serving wine. I ordered one glass of house white wine, not let me try but just place a glass in front of me, taste very bad, alcohol only, returned. All food that I wanted to order was not available. The salad big like in McDonald's no taste no sauce full of cheap lettuce. The seafood is over cooked so very hard and no taste. The sauce is thick like clay. The service is horrible!! Not recommended !!! Very expensive for cheap service and food.
Kitto K — Google review
A very long day to get to Rabat, and we wanted to finish it off with a great seafood dish or two. We were NOT disappointed. The soup was fantastic, you could not beat the wine selections, and we had a very respectable meal! The service was fantastic as well.
Samuel T — Google review
We had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was incredibly slow; we had to wait an unreasonably long time for our main course to arrive. When it finally did, the grilled fish was cold, which was completely unacceptable. It felt like the food had been sitting around for a while before being brought to our table. For a place known for its seafood, this was a huge letdown. Definitely not worth the wait or the price. We won’t be coming back.

If you wanna try Moroccan food in the right ambience and authentic taste then don't miss this restaurant. Most amazing was the service that made us feel relaxed after a hectic day !! From the entry time until we left we were so well pampered by the staff who always had a lovely smile . Will visit again soon
Preena N — Google review
We visited Dar Naji in Rabat hoping to enjoy some traditional Moroccan vegetarian food. Unfortunately, the vegetarian tagine was unavailable, and the staff encouraged us to choose something else — though we had clearly mentioned we didn’t want any meat dishes. When we asked for help translating the menu, the staff’s limited English made communication a bit difficult. In the end, we settled for a few portions of harira soup and the triple salad starter, served with Moroccan bread. The food was decent — the soup was warm and comforting, though not very spicy or flavorful. Service was quite slow, and we had to remind the staff several times before our mint tea finally arrived. On a positive note, the décor and ambience were beautiful, with traditional Moroccan touches throughout the space. We were a bit disappointed not to get a window seat overlooking the Medina walls, which would have made the experience more special. Overall, while the setting is lovely, the service and limited vegetarian options left us underwhelmed. I wouldn’t recommend making a special trip just to dine here.

This is down the street from where we are staying. It is an excellent restaurant! The food was delicious with all the complex spices you expect from Moroccan food. Yamal Acham is a popular Syrian restaurant known for its authentic cuisine and desserts. The quality of the food is good, and it offers fair value for money. The waitstaff are attentive, but the place can get crowded with locals, so it's best to visit during off-peak hours. Some diners have been put off by loud music playing at max volume.
What a find. Apparently there are three of this restaurant in Rabat. We went to the medina one, wich is just outside the medina. The food is amazing, the staff are wonderful and the price is so low. I was almost in shock. At this point of our journey through Morocco, this is the best dining experience we have had. Everything is right here. From service to quality to price. Order the family spread and you will get an awesome surprise. The two person variant should be enough to feed at least three adults, but with the very low prices don't worry about choosing the three or four person versions. Just get a big enough table to fit all the amazing Syrian dishes. And then there are the very tasty fruit shakes in about 13 varieties.

We had great dinner here. The pizzas were delicious, specially the Mamma Pizza. I loved the dull ambience (lighted by some candles), and I appreciated that they had a special part reserved for non-smokers. Totally recommended.

Very special last dinner in Rabat. We enjoyed the Cocktail pizza and Aporole Spritz.

Saw this place while wandering around. The place looks closed but it’s not due to the closed facade - It’s with colourful tinted glass. The staff left a good impression in welcoming us and we’re really impressed all throughout. The restaurant has a good vibe and designed with veggies hanging in the ceiling. We had lasagna and romaine pizza and they are really good! I honestly don’t understand separating smoking and non-smoking area if there are 2 big open windows and a big open door in between. We had chosen a corner table but it could still smell all the smoke. The smoking area was full of people smoking, and of course, most of the smoke also came to the non smoking area. They should close the smoking area and let those people inhale their own smoke! This just really killed the dinning experience.

Good place. Open during ramadan as well. Wine and beer for good prices. Food not the best but good. Service is fast and cooking efficient. Like the vibes and relaxed atmosphere. Will come here often and good place to start the party night with wine and snacks.

Great coffee and food, we also enjoyed a local beer on a warm summer day and then atmosphere was great, quiet, welcoming and relaxing.
Szilard P — Google review
Frankly speaking the food is not wow I attached some photos, I ordered entrecôte medium well It’s came black burned without sauce but with fresh tomatoes and lemon and lot of lettuce .??! The fried calamari was not up to Italian standards with no sauce at all and a lot of lettuce. Pizza margarita was not bad but now wow As there is a lot of Italian restaurants in Rabat serve better food than this restaurant..

Il Giardino in Rabat is a decent spot with a pleasant atmosphere. We tried their pizza and a chicken dish—both were good, though not outstanding. Overall, a solid meal, but not quite enough to make me eager to return.

Great pizza. Sun, wine, coffee… what more could you ask for! Burrata was creamy and delicious - but a bit lonely with just a few tomato slices… 9/23. Possibly had the best pizza of my life. Baratta and pork with basil. Sooooo delicious.

Had an Arrabiatta Penne which was seriously spicy, I can handle spice so it was excellent. Had thé entrecôte steak as well, it was nice a tender with nice grilled veggies on the side. Little steep on the price side but had Moroccan wine for the first time and it was actually good.
Henri S — Google review
Food was amazing and authentic Italian! Also, the outdoor seating was very nice and the servers were friendly. I tried the Pizza Salmone and my friend had the Penne Al Pesto, and both were delicious. Reminded me of my travel to Italy. I would keep in mind that the food is a little pricier than other places nearby.

Borjeddar is a bar-restaurant located along the seafront, offering an attractive terrace with views of the jetty on Rabat's main beach. The menu focuses on seafood and includes a variety of tourist-friendly options. The restaurant also boasts a comprehensive drinks list featuring cocktails, Moroccan beers, and local and French wines. Nice Alantic Ocean view from the restaurant. It is spacious for big group. Food is just ok.

we dropped in for coffee only as we were going on a nice walk along the foreshore. The best thing about this cafe is the extraordinary view. I suspect it is geared up for bus loads of tourist who arrive on the cruise boat. But for a drink with a lovely view it’s difficult to beat.
Ross D — Google review
The setting of the terrace is unbeatable, absolutely stunning. The food was fairly shocking. Kebabs so chewy and not actually grilled, the kids "Kentucky chicken" was mostly lacking CHICKEN. These were bits of the chicken you wouldn't normally bother battering and frying! One of the few places to get a beer.

Very good and fresh seafood in this restaurant that is very well located, close to the Casbah of the Uzbayas. Friendly service, average prices for Rabat. The portions are generous. However, service can be a bit slow during busy hours. The fried fish and calamari are the quicker options.
Bogdan T — Google review
Hard to know where to start. Huge restaurant in a great location. Unfortunately only one other couple in it. Our waiter was both accommodating and attentive. We ordered seafood paella for two. What arrived could have served four easily. Really generous amounts of fish and seafood and the rice was very tasty. Had two oysters. I ate one but once opened the second didn't look at all healthy so was left. Lots of large shell on prawns that contained mush. I could squeeze them out like toothpaste. All of these we left as well. We ate the white fish and small shelled prawns with the rice. Nice beer nice wine. I just can't forget the oyster and mushy prawns. Final point, the toilets had two dispensers for paper towels to dry your hands. Both empty. Like they don't care.

We came as part of a tour group. Everything was ready. The food is quite good. We had a side salad & a plater of fried fish, prawns & squid. The service was very prompt as well. The restaurant has a good view of the Atlantic ocean. It's pretty windy outdoor.

Beautiful view next to the beach. No English menu but waiter could translate. We had the sole and salmon, both fresh and well cooked. A tad pricy compared to other dining options but the view and food made it worth it.

Paul Café in Agdal, Rabat, offers a delightful culinary experience that brings a taste of French elegance to Morocco. The pastries are impeccably crafted, boasting flaky, buttery perfection that melts in your mouth. Their selection of sandwiches, paired with a refreshing salad, makes for a satisfying meal any time of the day. The gelato, with its rich and creamy texture, is an absolute must-try and provides a perfect sweet finish to your visit. However, while the food undoubtedly shines, the service leaves room for improvement. The staff, although efficient, can occasionally come across as hurried and less attentive, which detracts from the otherwise pleasant atmosphere. Additionally, the prices, while reflective of the quality, might be considered steep by local standards. In conclusion, Paul Café at Agdal is a wonderful spot for anyone craving authentic French bakery delights, despite the occasional hiccup in service. It’s a place where gastronomic excellence meets a touch of French charm, well worth a visit for those special indulgences.

We know this restaurant from google, seeing how good the review is, we decided to walk into the restaurant without reservation. When we arrived there are plenty of tables were reserved— so it kinda raise our expectation. We were given free compliment (see on the first pic) it was nice. Here is the review : We ordered Marea Salad (2nd pic, So delicious, would recommend!) Seafood risoto & seafood pastilla (3rd &4th pic)— risoto is good, pastilla portion is too huge! As for the dessert they called it mojito on the jar— if you like sour go for it, but for us it is too sour and don't taste like mojito at all, we won't recommend! Drink are average. Some foods are good some aren't (subjective)— for us we just dont understand why the review is so good while it was just okay-ish. Pretty underwhelming experience.
Hana L — Google review
We came across this restaurant while wandering with my family. The food was good, and the staff were very accommodating, even bringing extra coloring sheets for the kids. The dishes were well prepared, although a few of the shrimp hadn’t been deveined, which brought my review down by one star. The platter I ordered also included two very small pieces of swordfish, which made the added cost feel unjustified given the portion size. The dessert was fantastic, and I’d definitely go back to give it another chance at a full five stars.

Clay Oven, an Indian restaurant situated in the Hay Riad neighborhood, is a notable dinner spot. Known for its authentic cuisine, this recently opened restaurant has gained popularity among locals. Additionally, for lunch, El Tropic is a cafe offering American hipster classics like quinoa salads and avocado toast - conveniently located below Bee on 6th for those looking to combine lunch with shopping. I absolutely love Indian food, and this place does not disappoint. The dishes are packed with flavorful spices that not only taste amazing but also make me feel better whenever I have a fever. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, making every visit a pleasure. Although the portion sizes might seem small for the price, the dishes are heavy and filling due to their rich and satisfying sauces. A perfect choice for anyone craving authentic and hearty Indian cuisine

From the atmosphere to the deserts everything is fabulous! I really liked the Beryanis and curries because it was really tasty and the spice was tolerable. The stuff was really nice and the place was really cozy. I enjoyed it with my friends! Highly recommend 😉🇮🇳

Tucked into Rabat’s bustling, Mahaj Hay Ryad area, Clay Oven offers a warm, authentic escape into Indian cuisine. The restaurant’s cozy, unpretentious ambiance think earthy tones, soft lighting, and traditional decor sets the stage for a relaxed meal. Service is welcoming and attentive, with staff happy to guide diners through the menu or adjust spice levels to preference. The food is the star here. Starters like samosa (crispy pastries topped with tangy chutneys and yogurt) and paneer tikka (grilled cottage cheese marinated in spices) are flavorful and fresh. Mains showcase robust, aromatic curries. The butter chicken is a crowd-pleaser, rich and creamy without overwhelming the palate, while the lamb rogan josh (tender meat in a fragrant tomato-based gravy) highlights the kitchen’s skill with spices. Vegetarian options shine too, particularly the dal makhani (slow-cooked lentils) and aloo gobi (spiced cauliflower and potatoes). Don’t skip the breads: the garlic naan is pillowy and charred to perfection in the namesake clay oven. Portions are generous, though prices lean slightly higher than average for Rabat (mains from 90-150 MAD). The mango lassi provides a refreshing counterpoint to bold flavors, and the gulab jamun (syrup-soaked dough balls) offers a sweet finish. While the space is small and can get busy on weekends, the overall experience feels genuine and satisfying. Clay Oven stands out in Rabat’s modest Indian food scene for its consistency, quality, and homestyle warmth. A solid choice for craving-driven nights or introducing friends to Indian cuisine.
Mana S — Google review
Yummy food, totally different for me and I am glad I gave it a shot. The chicken tikka massala is to die for! The butter chicken is too sweet for my taste. The prices are too high though. The rice or the naan should be included with the mains. Good vibes, professional service and very helpful staff.
Soukaina — Google review
Clay oven is my favourite spot for Indian food ever !! I’m a regular customer in Casablanca and it’s my first time trying the one in Rabat and I wasn’t disappointed with the food. The butter chicken was so yummy as well as the tikka masala, it had a slight spicy hint which added even more flavour. The citron rice has a very special flavour and it’s super light. The garlic naan is fluffy and melts in your mouth. I also loved the entrees , they were super crispy and the sauce given with them were so delicious! 🥭 The mango lassi was so refreshing and cold just how I like it Would I come back ? Would I recommend it ? ABSOLUTELY 100% One thing , the atmosphere is quite dark and the place is small unlike the Casablanca villa which I much prefer, but the food is just as good 🫶🏻
Salma O — Google review
Tastiest Indian food in Rabat, the restaurant is fancy, good atmosphere. The staff is super kind and recommended us good food. A must try ! Don’t think twice.
Haitem Z — Google review
It was my first time trying indian food and what an amazing surprise. We took 3 different classics, chicken Tikka masala, butter chicken and another one which name I forgot. All the spices mixed together with the chicken marinated to perfection offered a delightful taste. To accompany them, we took both rice (which goes absolutely well with the sauces) and 2 types of naan : garlic and cheesy, making the perfect duo with the chicken. As for the drinks, we took the mango Lassie, the most refreshing beverage I've had in a while. The cozy and warm environment with the traditional decoration enhanced the experience. The waiters were attentive and very respectful. All in all we had a great time.

Update REVIEW: Horrible food, Couscous on fridays used to be delicious and cheap (35MAD) but not anymore. SEAFOOD SOUP is TASTELESS and the worst I ever tasted in my life. NON-Smoking area DOESN'T EXIST anymore, u could be chocked by the smoke even inside the restaurant wich gives you an unclean atmosphere for yourself, your companions and ur childreen. Imagine a restaurant that allows some of its clients to smoke inside, WHAT A SHAME! THE AC (Air conditioner) still unfonctional for three years now !!! OLD STATEMENT: Nice place with delicious food and couscous (once a week every friday and only for 35MAD, cheap but super super delicious).. the staff are very nice and helpful, the only thing down is the AC (Air conditioner).. I went for lunch today and it was super HOT inside, I started sweating and things went even worse when I started eating.. they need to fix the issue as soon as possible !!

Sadly, not a family place, don't ever think about it or bring kids. Full of smokers and no zone for non-smoker. It is all mixed that you won't even be able to breathe. It was terrible. In the evening, it got even worse, small and not cozy, plus the cigarette smell. It feels suffocating. We got drinks, a couple of Jus, no food. It was alright.

So I have eaten here a couple times and ordered dessert as take away. I have been pleased with portion size and price of food. Service was good and staff were friendly. My French is under par and they make the effort to speak in English as well. Will definitely continue to go here and recommend it

Tonight we were in the mood for a burger so we came here. My husband had a burger, I had a quinoa salad with avocado, cherry tomatoes, green salad and chicken, and my son had an omelette. A pity about the lack of a non-smoking area. In any case, I think we will be back! 100% recommended!

I was eager to try out this place, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to my expectations. I ordered the Spanish breakfast. One bite of what was supposed to be a tortilla made me want to puke. The cheese was aweful, put on warm bread it made it lukewarm. The eggs were tasteless and at the same time a smell/taste of animal grease as if the pan was used to bake meat. As a vegetarian I was repulsed. I ended eating only the bread rolls (not the toasted ones) which was good, and the tomato pulp.
Sou M — Google review
Can't believe these "almond" croissants cost 12dh. What an embarrassment for a "French" bakery. This place used to be good but looks like they're skimping out on basic presentation, ingredients and charging the same. How pathetic. Also, they taste like they're from yesterday which isn't satisfactory. Too airy and not buttery like they used to be. I won't order from them again. The photos of their pasteries on Glovo are all wrong so don't expect you'll get what your ordered.

Great place and clientèle. Nice service and menu. I highly recommend the egg tortilla, fulfilling and tasty. If you have a sweet tooth, go for the fruit rouge pancake or the lemon pie My favorites are the florentino or the fried chicken. As a bonus, a concept store in the same building

The food is decent. I got the Poke bowl and it was a 6/10. The tables are made of tiles and they don't clean them well so you can smell a weird odor coming from them. The staff aren't very friendly or available. I wouldn't go back personally

Cozy place, good food and nice atmosphere, service was a bit slow but will definitely come back.

Hey guys - I like the expanded menu. More options than at the start. Lovely atmosphere. Service a bit slow. But a lovely green space to sit and while away a bit of time over bfast / lunch and coffee.
Helen T — Google review
Terrible service! Had to wait an hour to receive a salad. I specifically mentioned I had a nut allergy and yet she brought me a salad with nuts. When I asked her to make the salad again, she went to the kitchen and simply removed the nuts, which I had already told her is not possible when you have a nut allergy (there are still traces on the salad). Then she lied to me about it and said they had made a new salad. I almost had to be rushed to the hospital because there were still traces of the nuts and actual (whole) nuts left in the salad! Avoid this place! The food is at best mediocre and the service is horrible

This is a cozy little cafe spot, a great place to meet with friends for a casual lunch or coffee. It is tucked away below the street level so you have outdoor seating without being near the road. I always get their vegetarian options, usually their veggie crispy buns.
Emily M — Google review
I discovered them on Glovo, I have never been to the restaurant so I can only talk about the food. It’s delicious and you can find different dishes from different cuisines, but it’s a bit expensive. I have two remarks the fried chicken is extremely overpriced for the quantity it’s totally not worth it and the pastrami sandwich clearly doesn’t deserve that name because it’s not a pastrami sandwich.

The café's menu features an array of dishes such as waffles, avocado toast, baghrir pancakes, and acai bowls. With indoor and outdoor seating available, it's the perfect place to enjoy a healthy brunch in a cozy atmosphere. Fantastic location just near the train station in Rabat, great coffee and food. The interior design is beautiful 😍 cakes are nice also. But more expensive than other places in Rabat but worth it

Boho Café is one of Rabat’s gems 🌟 The atmosphere is bright and inviting, with a playful yet cozy design that makes you want to stay for hours. Every bite tastes as good as it looks. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the service is quick, which makes the whole experience even better. Whether you’re here for a coffee break, a full brunch, or just to enjoy the ambiance. Boho café is a definite must-visit in Rabat.

I had brunch at Boho Café and it was a great experience. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. The atmosphere is calm and beautifully decorated, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. A perfect spot for brunch in Rabat. I highly recommended!
Abdelati B — Google review
If you’re on the hunt for an authentic American brunch experience with a little Moroccan touch in Rabat, this place is an absolute must-visit. It’s incredibly rare to find a spot in the city that delivers this level of quality, both in flavor and atmosphere. From fluffy pancakes and smoke samon to crispy bacon and fresh-brewed coffee, every dish is made with care and attention to detail. The ingredients are top-notch, portions generous, and presentation spot-on. You can tell the team here really knows what they’re doing — and they do it with heart. The service is equally impressive: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, you’ll feel right at home. It’s not just a meal — it’s a full-on brunch experience, and one that’s surprisingly hard to find around Rabat. Highly recommend this spot to anyone craving a taste of classic American comfort with a refined touch. I’ll definitely be back!

Such a lovely hidden gem in Rabat. Definitely worth visiting. Great location just 5 minutes from the station. Staff were so helpful as we were in a rush to catch a train and packed everything to go for us really thoughtfully (they even sealed everything so nothing spilled)! The cafe itself is super trendy and looks great! Highly recommend ☺️

a place with the atmosphere of a blissful escape. the staff felt were very hospitable and patient, and the wait times for the food was excellent. the food itself was good, with the açaí bowl being a personal highlight. a very good place to eat one on one, and simply relax and chat!

All around, I loved this brunch spot! However be prepared to wait as there is a queue for such a popular spot. The wait isn’t long and the staff is proactive in accommodating everyone. Andrea was taking care of my orders and she was an absolute delight! So kind and quick! The food was great, the music was a vibe, the fruits are fresh and seasonal to avoid wastage; the pancakes were indeed very fluffy! And don’t skip out on the Bissap, it was authentic and rich ;)

Restaurant
Chez Hajja is a charming Moroccan restaurant located in the heart of the medina. It offers a variety of delicious dishes at affordable prices, including traditional tajine and Moroccan cold salads. One unique dish on their menu is hargma, which sets them apart from other restaurants. The authentic atmosphere adds to the dining experience, making it a must-visit for those seeking genuine Moroccan cuisine served with a smile.
Stellar food experience. If you are reading this and looking for food, and it is a Friday, you can end your search as the couscous at Chez Hajja is amazing. The spices and the flavours were absolute perfection. The carrots were firm yet tender and not mushy. Super sweet carrots and caramelized onions, but were balanced with the savouriness of the chicken and other vegetables. The wife and I ended up coming back the next day for the chicken tajine and the hargma (chickpeas with goat trotter). Both were well made and again so full of flavour. I wish that every meal in Morroco could be as good as the one we enjoyed at Chez Hajja. You will not be disappointed giving them a try. Also an amazing value for all their dishes and the staff were so friendly. I will miss their food greatly.
Michael T — Google review
Quiet restaurant tucked in a side street in the bustling Medina of Rabat. We ordered Fasulye, green lentils, a beef tagine and a chicken tagine. The food was served with lots of fresh bread and was well seasoned. We really enjoyed it and the prices were reasonable too. The women provided excellent service.
Rizwana H — Google review
Wow. What a find in the Medina of Rabat. A ladies run kitchen offering authentic home style food available for next to nothing. I don't like to go to the same restaurant twice, but went here twice as an exception. We had white beans, lentils and 2 tagines the first time which were excellent. We found out they do a special of Couscous on a Friday, along with a side dish of chick peas and lamb trotters. Sublime. The Couscous was beautiful, topped with caramelised onions and raisins, with a lovely fluffy texture. The trotters and Chickpeas were delectable, with a lovely taste and consistency. Highly recommended.
Qasim H — Google review
A small eatery in the Medina offering simple yet delicious and very affordable local fare. I particularly enjoyed my Hargma, as though someone’s Grandma prepared it. Lovely ladies running the place. Would definitely recommend.
Renee C — Google review
I would say that visiting this place is only possible at your own risk. To be honest, I was misled by all these good reviews to this place on the map, but now I can't believe that I was in the same place as all these people. The lady who serves guests is very rude, and always brings you completely different food than what you ordered. The food is very cheap, they serve simple homemade food, and very poor locals eat here. Keep this in mind before visiting.
Di — Google review
A traditional little restaurant situated inside the Rabat Medina. We had tagines (I had chicken and my wife had lamb), and they were incredibly tasty and fantastic value at only 25 dirhams!
Matt C — Google review
I don’t understand the rating. We walked out of the touristy area hoping for an authentic experience. I ordered carrot juice and it came out as vinegar water with small chunks of crunchy carrot in a glass. The chicken and fries & trotter with chickpeas were edible. Nothing especially tasty about either dish. The meat ball looking dish is room temperature and taste of fishy tuna. Bummer that this is my first meal in Rabat.

Al Warda is a restaurant located in the heart of Rabat, Morocco, near the Royal Palace. The establishment offers inventive Moroccan cuisine with superb ingredients and visually appealing dishes. The menu features traditional Moroccan flavors such as cloves, lemon, and cinnamon in a setting reminiscent of 'One Thousand and One Nights.' The fusion of French culinary expertise with Moroccan ingredients results in delightful dishes like lamb tagine and mushroom-stuffed sea bream.

We came to enjoy and partake in Iftar, it was a lovely meal and we really enjoyed it. It was a nice environment and we were able to take part in this Muslim tradition. Bouras was an excellent waiter and saw we were attended to the entire time.
Cinthia S — Google review
Our first night in Rabat and we were disappointed by this meal. We arrived on the earlier side for dinner, the first people to sit down for dinner. Yet our waitress did not welcome us or ask us if we had any questions. Just “What do you want to eat?” And then she never came back to our table to ask if we wanted more drinks or dessert. We had to wave her over to pay our bill, even though there were only 2-3 other tables with people at them. The restaurant is pretty, but there is no natural light so they have spotlights in part of the restaurant, blinding anyone sitting against 1 of the walls. The food was just ok. The chicken tagine had a good flavor but was dried out. The fish tagine was better but not the best we had by any means. I would say skip this restaurant for dinner and enjoy a meal at Golden Fish in the same hotel.

I visited Al Warda for dinner while staying in the Sofitel and really enjoyed it. It’s a very well-decorated restaurant and my chicken tangine, in particular, was really excellent. In addition, Lamiae, Sanae, and Zahira provided friendly, professional service throughout the meal. Recommended even if you’re not a Sofitel guest to experience excellent Moroccan cuisine!

Trio d'Or is a popular restaurant in Rabat, offering a diverse menu of Moroccan cuisine. From traditional tagines and brochettes to seafood, salads, pizza, and pasta, they have something for everyone. Recently obtaining their liquor license, the restaurant now serves beer and wine to complement your meal. The improved service and bustling atmosphere make dining here a delightful experience. Guests appreciate the outdoor seating area and praise the delicious couscous.
This place has changed a lot recently as it appears they just got there liquor license and they now serve beer and wine. The service is much better because it's much busier. I like the outdoor seating area and pretty good couscous.

One of the worst experiences I had. The glasses were disgusting. The cutlery was dirty. The servers were very rude. A woman kept looking over our shoulders and didn't say a word. Very creepy. The server with the hat never smiled and kept coming to our table with food in his mouth and knocking glasses over on our table. Very unprofessional. I ordered Chicken Tajine and the food came like a block of charcoal. Not eatable an full of oil. Never ever again.

I walked in & the bartender saw me, then went back to drying glassrs. A server was busy chatting with, I quessed, the hostess. She was facing me & barely gave me a glance, he turned & saw me & then went back to chatting & the bar tender didn't look at me again until I said "Am I invisible!?", then threw up my arms & walked out. They clearly need some education on customer service! No wonder the place was empty!

Big plus for open kitchen area, which gives this place real modern look. Big minus for microwave which is in first place in there... We ordered vegetarian tagine, which was chicken tagine with removed chicken meat pieces... small fibers of meat was still in dish. It's non acceptable nowadays in modern kitchen. Shame.

Latifa’s Harira Soup is a charming food spot run by Latifa, the heart and soul of the place. She serves fresh and healthy Moroccan meals with love, despite language barriers as she speaks only Moroccan Arabic. Her prices are incredibly affordable, and her food is made to order. While she may not always have Harira soup available, her other dishes like fried sardines and eggplants are exquisite. Customers highly recommend Latifa's for an authentic taste of Morocco.
I’ve found the sweetest chef in Africa, no no, even the world. I came across this place while looking for a place to drink Morocco's famous Harira soup. There was no soup and I was about to leave, then, she made a sign showing that she cannot make that soup right now because she is gonna sleep and I wanted to eat sth else there. She speak Arabic and French, me no :) so I ordered sth via Google Translate. Her mother’s from Andalusia, Spain, and father’s from Morocco. Doing this job, which was his father's profession, for 26 years. The prices were incredibly cheap and the food was really delicious. Above all, she was very warm and very hospitable. If you come here one day, I definitely recommend it.

This little place was quite close to our Riad, and after reading the reviews, we went here for a light lunch. The owner was very sweet and friendly despite the language barrier, and the food was delicious. The meal was very inexpensive and filling - the fried sardines are absolutely a must!

This place can easily be missed due to other food places with bright signs. Latifa is kind and wonderful. Great, humble food. It well deserves foot traffic and more reviews. I had the harira soup and fish tagine - both tasty costing nearly nothing.

If you are looking for moroccan cuisine, you need to try this place. It is quite small so it is easy to miss it. We have been to Marrakech too and this place is by far the best one we had throughout our travels. 🏆 We had 2 fish tajine , salad, bread , one sardine and tea for two for 72MAD total.

Nice hole in the wall spot in the medina. Went a few times for harira and the fish kofta tajine. Owner is nice and the food is solid. Usually a few locals in the restaurant and street cats nearby
Safwan C — Google review
Latifa is a kind lady who served us well even with limited language in common. Her prices are incredibly affordable, and her food is fresh and healthy. Her fried eggplants may be a little over cooked for some, but her fried sardines are some of the most exquisite I've had. Her soup is heartwarming and tastes like home. Would highly recommend Latifa's for anyone looking for an authentic moroccan meal.

I arrived at this shop near closing time but the owner still welcomed me. Despite the language barrier, I was able to order harira soup, half a portion of bread, 2 fried butterflied fish, and some seasalt on the side. The food was great. Spent just 13 MAD. Fab way of spending my last night in Morocco.
