I’d heard a lot about this place but never had the chance to try it until now! In most reviews, it’s ranked in the top 2 spots for best burritos in Tulum, and after my visit, I can see why. The vibe is cozy and relaxed, kind of like a beach-style restaurant, nothing too fancy, but it feels warm, homey, and down to earth. The staff are super friendly, welcoming, and take the time to explain the dishes really well. We ordered the ribeye burrito, shrimp aguachile, and guacamole. The guacamole was fresh but pretty average,good, but nothing special. The burrito, though, was excellent, definitely above average! It’s wrapped in banana leaves, which gives it a tender texture and a unique flavor. I really enjoyed it, and it makes sense why this burrito is always ranked among the best in Tulum. But the star for me was the shrimp aguachile. It’s a cold dish that’s spicy, tangy, and refreshing, like a perfect balance of the sea and fresh greens. Absolutely delicious!

The restaurant was highly recommended and it did not disappoint. The prices were a bit on the expensive side but tulum is not that affordable in general compared to other parts of Mexico due to mass tourism. Would recommend this place :)

Absolutely loved Raw Love in Tulum! 🌿 The atmosphere is gorgeous, peaceful, and cool (such a nice spot to relax in the heat). I had a fresh coconut which was obviously delicious, then shared the Zucchini Alfredo (zucchini pasta with cashew cream, basil pesto, smoked tomatoes, walnuts, and arugula) and the Maki Rolls (nori wraps with fresh veggies). Everything was super fresh, flavorful, and 100% plant-based. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful vegan-friendly place in Tulum!

So glad we stopped here for lunch! Such a little oasis away from the chaos. We came because we wanted refreshing food and had my dog with us (this place is dog friendly!). The tamales were delicious, the blue magic was so refreshing, our smoothies were great and my mom loved her pad thai. We got free shots for leaving reviews, but I would’ve left one anyway :) Highly recommend!

The maca vanilla bowl was incredible and the mocha with orange one of the best drinks I have had in my life (it is not sweet). Must try if you stay away from refined sugar and processed foods, SO good. Raw Love Tulum! I had heard about this place before but never got the chance to try it until now. There are two locations in Tulum since I couldn’t find the one in the hotel zone, I went to the downtown spot, and wow… what a fantastic experience! The place has such a bohemian, cool vibe that makes you feel calm and relaxed. I ordered the açaí berry bowl, quinoa salad, and chocolate cake. The açaí bowl was unlike anything I’ve ever tried 10/5! The quinoa salad was also delicious, solid 5/5. And the chocolate cake? Another perfect 5/5. This spot is definitely worth stopping by. The staff are amazing, and while it’s a little on the pricey side, the quality makes it totally worth it. I can’t wait to go back and try more!

The food is very clean and healthy, and the ambiance and vibes are amazing. This place is unique and has so much character with beautiful artwork and murals to enjoy. But the best part was the warmth and hospitality I received from the staff here. We had a rainstorm and power outage while I was here and they gave us incredible hospitality and conversation. Adam and Noalie are total gems - such warm people that make you feel at home.

This experience was amazing, the good healthy food that was filling but yet left with enough space for desert! My server was from Argentina and it made me feel like I was at home. I have enjoyed açai and smoothie bowls in over 50 countries, so I have a good sense of what makes a great one. I decided to visit this place after seeing it on social media, but unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. The smoothie bowl was quite disappointing: it was small, tasteless, and still had ice chunks in it, suggesting it wasn't freshly made. However, the staff were very friendly, which was a positive aspect of my visit. I hope the café can improve the freshness and flavour of their bowls in the future. For now, I would recommend trying other places in the area. Furthermore the coffee was also very bad !

Amazing place with the best smoothie bowls in town. They have a lot of swings in the sun - what better way is there to enjoy your favorite smoothie bowl! And don’t be fooled by the portion size, it looks way smaller than it actually is. We’ve been here several time during our vacation and loved it every single time.

Cute little shop for smoothie bowls 🥭 The place has a very nice and large seating area, the swings in the front are very cute to take pictures at! My friend and I both order Mango Tango smoothie bowls, it was tasty and I was surprised it came in disposable bowls vs. coconut bowl for extra aesthetic. I was also shocked the girl asked for a tip even though it was all self served. 4 stars as the bowl was pretty expensive for what you get.

El Camello Jr. is a must every time we’re in Tulum. The seafood is always fresh and flavorful, and my wife swears by their fried fish — crispy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. It’s a laid-back spot with great prices, generous portions, and fast, friendly service. Easy to find and well worth the visit, this place never disappoints. A true local gem!

It’s a local restaurant with good food. We went twice. The ceviche mixto (shrimp and octopus)was my favorite, the portions are very generous. We got a whole fried fish and tacos too. If you want good food and don’t want to spend too much this is the place! I really recommend it!

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Tulum. The seafoods are so fresh and they give you so much food you would not walk out of here hungry. Came here solely based on the number of reviews this place got. I only tried the guac and the grilled fish tacos. The food itself was very fresh, I think the guac could have had a little more spice, but they did have hot sauce sitting around. The price was reasonable, it could be a little lower for what it is. But overall good experience. If I go back, it will be to try something new.

If you're looking for the freshest ceviche in Tulum, this is the place to be! I have never had ceviche this good and the serving for a small order was good for 3-4 people. The price is very, very affordable as well. We also ordered fish and shrimp tacos which both were equally as good. The sauces on the table is a must with your tacos. Also have to mention how good their bean dip is which was complimentary when they serve you the tortilla chips. Service and ambiance is what you would expect from a local restaurant - warm and accommodating to your needs.

I first discovered Taquería La Chiapaneca two years ago while staying in Tulum, and I was so excited to return in 2025. This place is absolutely fantastic! They’ve moved to a new location, which now has a beautiful inner yard where you can enjoy your food outdoors in a relaxed setting. The menu is available in both Spanish and English, so ordering is easy even if you don’t speak Spanish. They offer a great variety of beers, plus sodas and water, and the prices are very reasonable and affordable. I truly love this place and will definitely come back whenever I’m in Tulum. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic tacos and a great atmosphere!

This restaurant is towards the end of the main road that goes through Tulum. This is a must go to spot for people who love Al pastor (pork) in any vessel! The flame spit in the front roasts the pork fresh. We ordered an Al pastor torta, pollo and asada salbutes, al pastor tacos, Al pastor tostadas, guacamole, and some Jamaica juice. The star of the show is the pork! While the chicken and beef were also good, we kept ordering more Al pastor in different forms and even ended up buying the pastor by the kilo to bring some back to our hotel! The green and red salsas have great flavor, with the red one having a great kick from the habanero peppers. There is also a small salad bar for you to top your meal with onions, cilantro, radishes, or cabbage. We are so happy we found this small little spot, and will be enjoying the 1 kg of pork we bought to go (which came with tortillas, salsa, and the fresh veggies).

5 delicious tacos for 70 pesos! Amazingly filling and very tasty for the best price I have found so far! I ate one in the pic. Ordinarily I would never eat pineapples with my chicken, but it was so scrumptious. I was full after eating 3 and continued eating the rest, because I couldn’t help it. Lol

Really solid tacos, especially for Tulum. Stop by for a few beers (50 pesos each) and 4 al pastor tacos (20 pesos each) and hang out for a bit in their back courtyard. Staff is very friendly and attentive, but I do recommend looking up a few Spanish phrases to make your visit a little more seamless.

Unbeatable prices for Tulum. The Tacos al Pastor were really good, but we can’t recommend the beef ones. It was quite busy, and the staff could have been more attentive – we had to wait quite a while and were seated right next to the restroom. Probably better for takeout.

Take a long cold shower before you go to this restaurant. Go in shorts, sandals and a muscle shirt. Very hot in this place but the fans do help some... Food is great. Very tasty. Good prices. Might be the best place in town. Even tourist go to this restaurant. Chilaquiles are deli deli!! Had to tell the lady that sits the people down that there were unoccupied tables because it seemed like she didn't see them. No biggie though.

We really enjoyed our visit to Taquería Honoria. Our hotel recommended that we visit and we are so glad we did. The food was delicious and it was great to try so many different tacos. We’d been reading reviews about how good a crisp Mexican Coca Cola could be, so we chose two of those to complement our meal. One of the highlights was the beef torta, so flavourful and tender. We finished off with the flan which was great. We also really enjoyed being able to watch the staff assemble the tacos.

Must try local place. The food is tasty and inexpensive. We had the chilaquiles with chicken and eggs and a latte and it was scrumptious. We also got super lucky and got seated right away, but plan on waiting around 15-20 minutes. Definitely a must try!

Great food and packed with locals as well as some tourists. They had a variety of meats that were available in various forms (taco, salbute, torta, quesadilla) or served as a plate with tortillas. There is also a vegetarian options. I ended up getting a taco and a quesadilla. Both were delicious. Was just the right amount of food for me with no leftovers. Food comes out quickly. Place is cash only, but it's very affordable.

Seems like every Tulum Food Guide had this place on their list. It was good and had great prices. Very hectic and hot when its full but that's most places in Tulum. Overall a good experience and worth trying. Cochinita Pibil Torta would've been better with some veggies or additions other than meat and bread but the meat was really good. High turnover is usually a good sign for safe meat consumption here. We had been reluctant to try low cost pork since we read some horror stories. But it was good and we enjoyed eating here. Get here early because it gets really busy around lunch time.

I had my breakfast there surrounded by chill cats and plants, such a vibe. It’s a great café right on the main road next to Jungle Gym, with plenty of seating and a super friendly server.

The best coffee shop in Tulum hands down!! Along side their coffee they have a fabulous breakfast and lunch menu!! The cats are extremely friendly and love being around us! We went out of our way and purchased these cats some new food bowls, more food and plenty of toys to keep them busy!! I highly recommend this place!

A fantastic place for chill vibes and delicious breakfast! The staff is very welcoming and friendly, and we ate here almost every morning the week we came to Tulum. Easy access to the colectivo, too, so a great choice if you're staying near La Veleta. Way WAY cheaper than the hotel we booked, and much more delicious. The French toast tasted like a fresh apple pie!

You can't go wrong here! They are a bit off the,main part of the street but worth it. Coffee is amazing and they serve great food. Staff is super nice, shout out to Emil. They have cats roaming the garden area, they ignore you unless you initiate contact. The dining area is covered, so it's fine in the rain. Credit cards are accepted.

Cute place. Servers were very nice. What wasn’t that great is I spend 1hr 45min on a small breakfast and coffee. Kitchen was very slow and it took forever. Also, my cortado came already sweetened which is strange.

We loved our brunch at Del Cielo!!! The environment is outdoor airy and all the staff carry an enthusiastic smile. They were very eager to take care of all our requests. I’m a bit of a coffee snob and I got a caramel cappuccino that was perfect. I also got the eggs Benedict that were on top of a crispy hash brown instead of any kind of bread at that was a brilliant combo. The açaí was mixed with coconut yogurt had great taste to it. The environment was so inviting we stayed a bit and talked after we were done eating. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite breakfast spots in Tulum Centro! Went here 3 times in a week. Lovely atmosphere, food is so fresh and plentiful, staff is so friendly. My husband and I tried so many things and loved them all! Highlights include: -Super Bowl -Tropical smoothie - Chilaquiles -Huevos Rancheros -Breakfast combo (the tomatoes are so good I spooned them into my mouth lol)

Grossest food I’ve eaten 🤢 . The coffee was bad (sour milk), the yogurt tasted like something foul was in it, and the chilaquiles were horrible, the taste was like watery tomatoes, in addition this was fresh out of the kitchen all of the chips were soggy 🌧️ ! How does that happen? The staff is nice, and the atmosphere is good, but my oh my the food was so bad. I think a lot of ingredients were expired. I’ve eaten all over the world and had some bad food, but this was so bad me and my wife didn’t even eat more than a few nibbles and left.

I came here for the first time and absolutely enjoyed my experience! I'm always hesitant to try new restaurants because of my food sensitivities but my server, Eduardo, was very knowledgeable about the menu and pointed out some sugar free and gluten free options including the chocolate brownie! It was so delicious. Another one of my favorites was the Sopes De Maiz, an appetizer that had tomato, avocado and sprouts. I am so so happy to have found a restaurant that is not only healthy and good for the body but also good for my taste buds as well! 10/10 will definitely be returning back very soon.

We ate here every single morning during our 5 days in Tulum, and it honestly became one of the highlights of our trip. The food is incredible — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned. The coffee and drinks were amazing too, and the owner and staff were so kind and welcoming. You can tell they truly care about what they do. I enjoyed this restaurant so much. The live music while getting to enjoy the outdoor scenery was a nice touch. The food was fresh. My pancakes were so amazing. I loved that I could add my toppings with the fresh juice and fruit.

The food was excellent. Everything was tasty. Service was fast. Compared to other seafood restaurants in Tulum i think they are the best from taste wise and also price. They accept cards. The only thing i dont like is that they do not have free filtered water. Whats up with that.

Firstly, the atmosphere and the service are great. It's an open patio with a covering that looks very appropriate. The tortillas and tacos are great, a little different from the offer commonly found in other restaurants. The fish soup and desserts and also great experiences. The fish towers are a fun concept, but get boring fast unless you're sharing it with a couple people.

The best !! Been here 3 years ago and I loved it so much that I went back (it changed location but the food remains incredible)! Would advice to take the grilled octopus taco with cheese crust which is gourmet, the marlin taco and the ceviche 🤤😋 A mezcalita or 2 is a must, they are sooo good - would 100% recommend !

Really cute little restaurant. Juan was a terrific server. I had a marlin taco as well as a shrimp taco. Both were good, but the Marlin taco, Baja style, was really outstanding. I have guests coming to visit me soon, so I was trying out different restaurants. We will definitely be returning.

This place was amazing! We had the best tacos, and every variation we tried was a 10/10. We even had some fresh oysters, and they were delicious. We didn’t even realise it’s a small chain (or maybe they just have a few restaurants — we saw one in Playa del Carmen too). Anyway, I 100% recommend!

Weird this place has bad reviews - the food is pretty incredible and I got an insight to their attention to detail and pride in the restaurant when I saw them wiping clean each of the sauce bottle caps. The wonderful tuna taco was incredible and the shrimps amazing. Highly recommend

If you like ahi tuna or sushi, don’t miss the “wonderful tuna” tostada!! The corn cake for dessert was unique and tasty as well, & we always love the rock n’ roll shrimp!

Fisrt of all, Salome Poot the guy in charge of the Aguachile RESTAURANT it is a great hossted, he knows THE FOOD Menú very well, actually he guided is throug a Wonderfull culinary experienced of it, he recomended to us the the green Aguachile dish which was amazing and also the mix ceviche too was of the chain, moreover the sea food shots were amazing too. Finally we have it a great time and really recomend this place and ask for Salome Who really has the charming to guided you guys' throug a nice experienced of it🥳🥳🤝👌

This was the best food we ate in Mexico hands down: fine dining, street tacos, this place beat them all. The menu is extensive so we asked the waiters to recommend their favourites and we where glad we did as we had some items we wouldn’t have tried otherwise. The vibe is rustic and local which is amazing and they even have some live music which is such a nice touch

Good service, fast. Taking coronavirus measurements. Chill Vibe. Food is good, fresh ceviche and aguachile. Plenty of Beer options, micheladas on point. Different sauces (note: white one very spicy) and tostadas are complementary. Short menu, online due to COVID. The waitress doesn't offer any menu explanations, maybe you have to ask the questions. Is very breezy so it's nice even when is outside.

Delicious and fresh. Aguachiles verde was excellent and refreshing. We also tried the Ceviche and it was tasty. Nice simple spot, convenient right off the highway. Was not very busy and easy to get a table.

Awesome food and drinks. The outdoor seating was super chill. The food was very fresh with awesome flavours. Our server, Diego, took great care of us and accommodated my wife’s allergy. We will be coming back to try breakfast! Highly recommended.

I love an intimate setting, this is great for a date or group setting! My partner and I were staying just around the corner, our hotel recommended we visit, we had a lovely dinner here! We were the only ones there so we had the whole restaurant to ourselves, we watched the staff cook, they took our photos, the food was delicious! It was a whole experience!

We had such a wonderful dinner here. Our server Aaron was so kind and helpful. The food was incredible!! Very cool chill vibes too. We sat at a low table with floor pillows which I loved. The ceviche was the best I’ve ever had. And we had octopus & shrimp tacos which were so delicious. All around 10/10 experience - highly recommend!!!!

Very unique experience! We had dinner here sitting on the ground which was super chilled and intimate at the same time. Also you are surrounded by nature which gives it a wild feeling. The service was really professional. Food and drinks very also really good! A hidden gem downtown that we can definitely recommend to visit.

So yummy! Had dinner last night 9.21.21 and Breakfast today 9.22.21. There was a cool fire thrower last night. The food is delicious. I had the guacamole starter and stuffed chicken. I usually get something unique when traveling but the stuffed chicken description looked so delicious and it was. It started raining during dinner and the staff was quick to get us moved under the covered portion of the restaurant. Love the atmosphere.

Angelo was so attentive, friendly and wonderful during our visit! The food was delicious and so were the cocktails. We had the shrimp tacos, fish tacos, guacamole, pork belly and ribs. The ribs and purée was so delicious that we ordered it twice! The food and drinks were very affordable. When we paid the bill I let Angelo know that it was our friends birthday and he brought out a dessert with a little candle. So thoughtful! Highly recommend visiting when you’re in Tulum :)

Had a delightful breakfast here and will definitely be back! The corn cake was brilliant, as was the duck confit (an optional add-on for several menu items). The vast majority of the menu was vegan-friendly, and we really enjoyed their vegan take on a frappuccino.

Good food and reasonable prices. You get what you expect with no great surprises. Focus on burgers obviously. Vegetarian burger was alright and the normal beef-burger was good. We had the big platter which was recommended due to the pricing from the waitress (Great job). For those looking for a solid burger spot, this is your go to.

I really enjoyed the burger I ordered — I went with a classic and some plain French fries, and both were delicious. I also tried the buffalo sauce; I usually love buffalo, but this one just wasn’t for me. The staff was super friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better.

First you should know that the $15USD burgers do not come with fries. A small side of fries will run you about $3-5USD. It was very hot. I understand hot in the region, but this restaurant has no natural airflow due to surrounding buildings. Most places usually install fans, this place did not have any. It was uncomfortably hot. The service was ok, nothing extra for the $15 burger. Burger had no toppings, no lettuce, tomato, etc. While the burger did taste excellent, it was very small for the price. Overall it cost us $60USD for 2 small burgers and one side of fries and two drinks. For the excessive cost and small food portions, I can't reccomend this place and won't come back.

It was maybe 45 mins before they closed that we came in but they were still serving food and Seated us. The waitress kind of looked at us as if to hurry and order so we ordered right away. To our shock within literally a few minutes the waitress was bringing the burgers out. It made me think the burgers were already made and just warmed up. When we tasted the burgers they were just okay and fries weren't hot. I did like the atmosphere though.

I had a great meal at Safari Comedor Zama and would definitely recommend it. The Shrimp Mole Verde Taco was outstanding—easily the highlight of the meal. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and the mole verde was rich, vibrant, and full of depth. I also can’t say enough good things about the Corn Esquite—it was warm, creamy, and perfectly seasoned. I’d go back just for those two dishes alone. The Guacamole Ying Yang was also delicious and fun to share, but the Crispy Fish Taco and Ceviche Tostada didn’t quite live up to the others—fine, but not something I’d reorder. All in all, a strong four-star experience. The setting is lovely, the service was friendly, and when the food is good, it’s really good.

AtlasAdventured recommends eating here. We lived in Aldea Zama for a month and since this place was right across the street, we ate her multiple times and the food was always good. Our server was the same each time and he was really nice half the time and seemed annoyed that we sat down the other half. But overall it is still worth stopping by for a meal. We ordered quite a few different items but our favorites, and the ones we would recommend are the: Nopal y Hongos Tacos Shrimp Diabla Gringa Quesadilla Fish tacos They have good happy hour specials on drinks. Make sure to put on Mosquito spray since its open air seating. Food is average value for Tulum and is definitely one of the better quality foods at this price point in the area.

New favorite place wow. The service is on point. Love the iPad menus on the table. The fruit above the bar is very appealing. Music was at the right volume - you couldn’t hear the construction outside but it wasn’t too loud to talk to people. Very flavorful and fresh food. Establishment felt clean and well cared for all around. They also had solid vegetarian / plant based options!

Today we visited this place, and overall, we enjoyed it. The tacos were very tasty, hearty, and flavorful. However, what we didn’t like was the very slow service. It felt like the waitstaff was taking their time, moving slowly and taking a while to process orders. We waited almost 15 minutes just for the order to be taken. Between waiting for one thing and another, it added up. That said, we will definitely come back, but these are my first impressions.

My partner went to Safari years ago when it was closer to the beach so we wanted to check out the new place. The restaurant is located in a new residential development and while you don’t get the Tulum “beach” vibe, it’s a very refreshing experience! The service was great and the food is perfect. The tacos are exactly what you imagine a perfect taco being - get them all. We also got the crudo and it was really, really good! We also loved the salsa trio and chips that came with it. It was the first time I had the blackened habanero salsa and I fell in love.

Very cute place ideally for breakfast or brunch. We heard good things about their sourdough so after our breakfast and coffee we asked for a loaf of it with a side of butter. Sit outside.

Want a lite breakfast in the morning, this your place. Oh, and the juice...grab all of them. I love beet juice, and they freshly made a batch in 30 minutes while I was eating breakfast. Please do not leave without trying the juice, and one of the delightful pastries.

Were there for lunch, which was perhaps a mistake as it seems more of a breakfast place : pizza slices are basically leftover, the foccacia was a bit tough, the cheesecake we ended up sending back due to strange taste (waiter said it was due to almond flour, but to us it tasted like product that had been in the pantry for many years...) but they kindly replaced with another different desert.

The fanciest and most delicious desserts! So intricate and flavourful. The bread!!! Like Europe and a taste of the real best bread in Tulum. Staff are so well capacitated and present, very professional. The homemade Kim chi is my favourite gingery fermented jar to take away. So many treasures with so much heart. Once you discover you’ll be back again and again

Every time we visit Italdo, we know we're at the best place in the Riviera Maya. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and welcoming - the aroma of freshly baked bread and coffee fills the air and lifts your mood. The quality of the product is outstanding made with fresh ingredients and great attention to detail. The croissant are simply irresistible - from that classic to the pain au chocolat, from the almond to the baba - all freshly baked every day. Whether you go for a sweet or savory breakfast, for lunch or brunch you can never go wrong. A place where you can have a genuine hospitality. Italdo is simply a must!

The service is courteous and I appreciated that. Both times I stopped by, I had my coffee prepared how I like it and the taste was wonderful. I also had two different snacks, a peanut butter cookie and a Madeline. Both nice. The seating isn't so great - it's either inside at a little bar facing the wall or outside on a patio by the street with all the heat/humidity. The bathroom was appalling and I was shocked at how run down and dirty it was. That needs to improve.

Update 2025: Unbelievably pushy sales tactics when we attempted to buy a few pastries. The restaurant is highly focused on full meal sit-down orders and actively discouraging to-go small orders with repetitive aggressive sales tactics. Yet another former gem of “Old Tulum 2021” overshadowed by new, customer service focused restaurants eg Nimeno x4. Sad. Rating reduced and won’t return soon. Fantastic cafe with an Italian flair. Delicious pastries for dining or take out and high end breads. Highly recommended.

Amazing and stellar, came for the lunch special which I highly recommend. Food quality and service were both top tier and price was amazing for lunch. My favourite place in Tulum. I’d recommend sweet and sour pork for the Americans, it’s not popular in America but definitely an Asian classic.

Every time we’re in Tulum, this is one of the first places we come back to — it’s become a must for us! The fact that it’s featured in the Michelin Guide is no surprise — the food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch. The Asian-Mexican fusion menu is so creative and everything we’ve tried has been incredible. We especially love the shrimp tacos with that delicious ginger sauce, the chicken wings, potstickers, and of course the birria ramen — all bursting with flavor. The tuna tostadas are another standout — super fresh and perfectly balanced. The service is always fast and friendly, and the moody, stylish atmosphere makes it such a great place to relax after a day in the sun. It’s also pet-friendly, which we love — we were able to bring our dog and felt totally welcome. A perfect blend of flavor, vibe, and hospitality — no wonder it’s on the Michelin Guide. Highly recommend!

We had such an amazing experience at Mextiza! Patricio was our server and he made the night absolutely wonderful — so attentive and welcoming. Every dish we tried was fantastic, but the tuna tostada was a true standout. The cocktails were perfectly crafted, and the dumplings and wings were just as delicious. Everything came out beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The atmosphere is vibrant and stylish, the food is next-level, and the service from Patricio made it all feel so special. Highly recommend Mextiza if you’re in Tulum — it’s a must-visit!

One of the best takes on Asian dishes with the flavor of Mexican culture I have tried in my life! Came here with a group for my birthday and the whole time we couldn’t stop smiling about how flavorful and good everything was! This is must try restaurant! I won’t be surprised if they get that Michelin star.

I'm visiting Tulum and had a really great time here! I really enjoyed the unique fusion of cuisine. I tried the taco de cangrejo (fried crab in a crispy taco shell) and the rib eye fusion roll. Everything was delicious and a nice changeup from the typical offerings in the area. I sat at the bar with Rosas and he provided very attentive service, great recommendations, and friendly conversation. Some of the best margaritas I've had and all made with real fruit! I'd highly recommend the maracuya margarita with chile de arbol 🌶️ I went on a Thursday and there was live music. Overall I had a great time, and would highly recommend. I look forward to returning!!

Who knew mayapanese food would be the fusion we need?! The Mexican sake was great and the rolls were creative and tasty. The tempura fried cheese sticks with passionfruit sweet chili sauce were the best.

I had a couple of rolls but the soft shell crab taco was outstanding with toriados chilis/a recommendation from Alexis. That isn't something I would normally order but I tend to listen when the staff is passionate about the menu. The passion fruit mezcalita was fantastic!! Their dessert options were great too! Great local spot!

Lovely little place near where we stayed! The food was absolutely amazing, the juices were fabulous, there were lots of choices, the staff was always nice and welcoming! This place is quite busy all the time. it just shows how good it is! The mosquitos and flies are an issue, but they even provide spray, so that's great! I just wish they had an inside sitting area! Wifi is free too, we came here everyday so I definitely would recommend and if I ever come back I'll be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ( there's homeless dogs about if you have a heart please buy them a dog food from 7-11 it's about 16pessos& fresh water, they are doing there best!)

Another place I loved in Tulum. The freshest of food, well prepared and flavorful, so fresh. The outside dining is perfect. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I'm keeping this place in the rotation for places to go the next time I come back!

I love the croissants here I haven’t tried any better bakery and gelato in Tulum , the food is fulfilling, I recommend hazelnut chocolate gelato, and my favorite thing is that they treat dogs from costumers and strays so good 🐕❤️

Discovered this hidden gem while on a 5 day trip in Tulum. We loved the food and service so much we visited THREE times. Castile and Erik were our waiters and they were the absolute sweetest. Now that I’m back home, I’m sad I can’t have their Cocada drink, Susy’s Chicken sandwich and their Banana waffle. If I visit Tulum again I definitely will return! Highly recommend!!

We went there for a coffee and dessert. This place is great and the staff is awesome. They always opened the door for us - they are fast and friendly. Their English is great! The quality of the coffee was great and the desserts were delicious. Pricing is also ok - for this area great!

One of my favorite taco places in Tulum. They only open until 3pm however, so it is hard to catch them sometimes as I rarely eat before 2/3. There are 23 flavors of guisados, stew tacos, each individually cooked in pots on the stove, which makes it clean, and no mixing of vegan, vegetarian, and meats. The flavors do tend to run out, so you have to see what is available each day. They also have delicious fresh squeezed juices and coconuts. You can have a full meal for 50 pesos here it is a steal. The tortillas are also handmade and of a really good quality, not this thin crappy ones you often see at taco stands. This is a must try taco spot in Tulum.

This is the local spot for breakfast tacos. We are with local law enforcement, nurses and taxi drivers. Order first, great fresh made to order drinks, and point to what you want on your tacos. Everything was delicious.

Delicious tacos and quesadillas. Had a mole and timga de pollo taco, a timga de pollo quesadilla and a lemonade. All were absolutely delicious! Pay for food first, then go to the servers to prepare for you. Very limited English spoken, but that’s entirely fair and I should be the one speaking better Spanish.

Love this little, fast, vegetarian friendly, super-budget place - 4 tacos + fresh coconut = 90 peso. Tacos 15 peso each. At least 3 vegetarian options and vegan as well. Unfortunately, they use fat (grasa) in their beans, so avoid if vegetarian. It's like a healthy local fast food!

A fast food style taco spot, where most of the food is already prepared and ready to eat. Large selection of different meats and toppings. I would recommend the meats that are marinated in the sauce for some extra juiciness. Perfect for on the go deliciousness!

Sooo good and rich tacos ! Only 2 vegan options - mushrooms and calabacin but they go with rice and beans and you can add cabbage, onion and salsas for free. Love this place! Oh and one taco is 15$ 🖤

I've been living in the Tulum area for four years now and have never eaten at Alfonsina before today. WOW! I have been missing out. It's accessible from the parking lot at the Chedraui so it's easy to get to. I had the hamburger and fries and a banana/peanut butter smoothie, and everything was delicious. My wife had a turkey/ham/gouda croissant with sunny side up eggs on top. She was very pleased and said she would order it again. Our server Alexes was very cheerful and attentive. The prices are very good considering it's Tulum. Pleasant music playing and it's air conditioned. I will make this a regular stop in my grocery shopping days.

Super cute coffee place. The service was very quick and the coffee amazing! They have different kinds of pastry’s to choose from and the place has a uch a nice vibe aswell. Would def recommend!

I visited on a Friday around 5:15 PM and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. I ordered a cold brew with milk and vanilla syrup—easily the worst coffee I’ve ever had. It was undrinkable, and I ended up throwing it away. The vanilla syrup didn’t taste like vanilla at all, and the milk did nothing to help the bitterness. I came intending to get some work done, but around 6:00 PM, staff started cleaning up and informed me they were closing—despite the fact that both Google and the sign outside listed a 7:00 PM closing time. It felt like they were just ready to be done for the day, regardless of the posted hours or the fact that I was a paying customer. I won’t be returning, but I hope they improve both their product and their customer service in the future.

Have been here many times over a year and seen many different servers and staff. The food is very good, the croissants are very good, but the service has consistently been awful. Firstly it is always extremely slow service. The last time it took an hour from arriving to actually gettting an order of eggs. Secondly, occasionally there will be a pleasant server, but most often the servers are very cold and inattentive. It’s a shame because the food is great, but they cannot seem to find staff that has any sense of service mentality. Hopefully the owners see this and can get the right staff and the right training for their staff in place.

I LOVE this coffee shop. It’s been my favorite in Tulum. They have plenty of seating areas (inside and outside), great pastries, and coffee. They’re all extremely nice but some of the servers are a little clueless (they might be new or training, it didn’t bother me) and the dishes my friend and I got weren’t that good so I can’t vouch for the cooked dishes but the pastries, ambiance, and coffee are great.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The smoked salmon was fresh and the scenery was beautiful. The staff was very attentive and kind as well.

This was our first spot in Tulum. We didn’t plan or search — we had just checked into our place and went out looking for somewhere to sit and eat. And it turned out to be a great choice. We had our first tacos here and some cold beer. The service was fast, friendly, and welcoming. The food was tasty, and the atmosphere was great.

Rumors around Tulum say this is the single best restaurant and you have to visit if you visit Tulum. And it’s true. The food, service en vibe are incredible. I would be able to eat here everyday. One downside; after eating here you won’t find many restaurants this good

Arrived at 8:45pm... Closing at 10.. kitchen closes in 15min! Ok... Still ordered, food was good 👍 service not and drinks not at all, capirinha was water! 9:30, removed our plates, 9:35 cleaning the tables with our drinks still on it, 9:40 bill!? Of course we didn't tip! 2* thanks to the food...

Great food, amazing prices and service. The owner is very lovely and loved sharing this meal with my family of 8. Order the agua Fresca, the chimichanga, burritos, tampiquena, sopa de marisco. Lo recomiendo!!!

A ratchet-looking place with noisy surroundings but decent food and cute service. The cocktails were large and well-made with good balance of alcohol. The house shrimps were fresh and well flavoured but I would have expected a bit larger quantity for the price. American pancakes were very reasonably priced and rather authentic. Overall good experience.

It's literally a hole in the wall. As you walk down the street you'll see the window where the food comes out from and tables on the other side of the side walk. The food and drinks were amazing, definitely not what I was expecting. The tacos and burrito were filling and packed with authentic Mexican flavours. My only regret is that I only went once.

Excellent ceviche. Very affordable, directly on the main highway en El Centro. Great service, sports on TV, clean atmosphere. Totally recommend! Willing to accommodate food allergies. Impressive saksa selection.

Let me just say we have been to all of the fancy and popular restaurants in Tulum and this is by far the best and at a fraction of the cost. I had fried fish and shrimp my hubby had grilled fish tacos and coconut shrimp, and he agreed with me that this was the best meal that we had, it was delicious and fresh. So don't waste you time in the hotel zone restaurants. If you want to see the shows at the other restaurants just go and have a seat at the bar after you have dinner at La Barracuda.

Great place for a simple midprice meal in Tulum. The shrimp nachos were OUTSTANDING! we got 3 pasta dishes and they were all really good, reasonably priced too. The Alfredo was particularly good, though a bit too salty for me. The portions are so generous. After the shrimp nachos, I was full already

The food served at this restaurant in Tulum, Mexico is delightful. In 5 days I've eaten here 3 different times and my hotel was 1.5hrs away. This place is not to be missed, definitely need to treat yourself with this place, you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic spot to be catered to on the beach. Staff was excellent and the food was FANTASTIC. We were stuck on Mango margaritas 🍹 and downed about 10 as a couple. Family friendly. There was $ miminum if you chose the beach side service. It included a cushioned setup with umbrella. I have included a pic of my family with the restaurant behind them. Very decorative and tranquil. The actual restaurant is a beautiful walk thru to the beach but you can certainly opt to stay in the restaurant without the minimum $ requirement. I believe it was a $58 U.S. for the beach. Not disappointed at all. There are a few vendors that walk the beach offering their goods but were respectful when you said "no thank you" or waived them off. Nice merchandise though. Necklaces, cover ups, coconut man, etc... If you have been to Cancun, you understand 😁. Great Spot.

Uno serves delicious, fresh sushi! It is a perfect place to dine when you’re craving for Asian food. We were assisted by Damien and he explained everything clearly - Very hospitable and attentive staff! Thanks Uno and Damien for making our dinner experience special. Will come back in the future

A cute Little restaurant with cute staff and amazing food! My mother and I enjoyed every bite! I live in Berlin and traveled through asia, so I've been in many asian restaurants with a similar menu, but I think this one of my favorites. The taste was always on point ans better!

Was here for Halloween. They had themed drinks for the weekend with fun edible sparkles and fun bottles. They offered us a complimentary appetizer beforehand rice Wich was unexpected and very tasty. The food was well executed and tasted authentic Japanese.It was a nice break from all the tacos. Great friendly service! If you want a break from all the taco eating, you will not be disappointed.

The traditional ramen was 10/10 so good and simple! All the staff of the restaurant was really nice and polite. Would definitely come back. Also the price was very good

We were in Tulum for one night, and my girlfriend wanted Ramen. So we found this restaurant and it's truly a hidden gem. Small and very modest in appearance, but great food and service. We got a soup in advance from the house that was delicious, but especially the Ramen was very good. We got our own "chili soy sauce" on the table, so we could make it just as spicy as we like it. Would definitely recommend!

Recommended by our taxi driver as a favourite for him and other locals, and wow I can see why. The charcoal‑grilled pollo asado was amazing - juicy, smoky and exceptionally flavourful, even the breast! Portions were generous and everything was fresh and super satisfying. It’s a simple, no-frills roadside spot, where the food speaks for itself. Authentic, affordable, and downright delicious, loved by locals and visitors alike, one of our top meals in Tulum. Shame we only became aware of it for our last dinner!

As other reviewers have mentioned, the chicken here is great—if you get a fresh batch. Unfortunately, I ordered delivery through Tomato, so I couldn’t be there to ensure it was freshly made. What arrived was cold, dry, and stale. I did dress it nicely and make it virtually presentable 😂.

Maybe I went to early (it was around 1130a) but the chicken was not as juicy as i expected. Could be from the night before. It was OK.

I actually didn't eat here this time I was in Tulum because they were closed already. But I will review them anyways because it was so good last time!! I'm only going to dock them points for closing at 8pm which is too early!! I was sooo bummed we didn't get to eat here. Maybe next time

Oh my GOD their papa con queso!! A little foil pouch of mashed potatoes and heaven. Great for some comfort food on a rainy day. I got the 1/4 chicken and that when I was really hungry and it was the perfect amount. The chicken itself was delicious too. Definitely going back! Staff was friendly. Bathroom acceptable. All in all cozy little diner tucked into the main strip.

Great place to get some of the best "broiled take out chicken'" in Tulum. This spot is perfect if you want for a small lexoensive lunch or something to snack on at the beach or back at your Airbnb. You can order the chicken in a variety of sizes (quarter,half or full) accompanied with rice lettuce fresh tortillas and a spicy tomato sauce. You can't be a half a chicken rice and some sides for five bucks. Definitely worth a visit on your trip just to taste something other than tacos.

Local pollo or chicken restaurant which is serving grilled chicken in a traditional way on a fire pit. The very tasty chicken is affordable and served with tacos, cabbage, rice and chilli peppers. Go here for a quick bite or if you like to taste the real BBQ chicken in a classic Mexican way.

Not worth the time or money. I have tried Chile relleno and tacos. Tacos are pipenapple based and after having one, your tastebuds will pray you to stop eating. It s o sweet and and not well curated. Chile relleno was under cooked and did not like the flavors at all. Food is not great and wouldn’t recommend this place.

Amazing gem of a place that is completely vegetarian. Has vegan options also. The staff are very warm and also speak basic English, enough to ask about the food and place an order. I had the 4piece Tacos with Tofu with a lemonade and a vegan cheesecake. The lemonade was fairly standard but the Tacos were mind blowing. It was fresh and refreshing. The tacos were served with a Mango Chipotle Dip which was lip smacking. The cheesecake has a different texture (more grainy and nutty) than a standard cheesecake but once I got adjusted to that I loved the taste. Would highly recommend the Tacos and the vegan cheesecake!

Hands down the best Vegetarian Restaurant in Tulum!!! The First time we went for dinner at this place, honestly they serve the best brown rice in town, My husband had a dish called Shamde (Which I had when we went there the 2nd time) Yummiest dish I've ever had!! Plus they serve the best tacos!!! No doubt this place serves the best food! Plus they serve yummy juices tooo!!! Their Mojito is the best I have had till date! I could feel the flavor of lime hit my taste buds!! I'd want to slip the recipe of the salsa they serve with chips :P Because it is that tasty!!! This place and the staff carry happy positive Vibes!! The ambiance here makes you feel like home. My time at this restaurant was a very cherish-able one!! I met the owner Cathy in my 2nd visit! A very sweet polite friendly person!! Soup, yucca fries, house salad & stuffed pepper were excellent! Only 4 stars because the carrot cake was dense & flavorless. But would definitely return for everything else.

We pipped in for something sweet to end up our lunch and took all three ice cream tastes of the day, Mayan cacao and vegan gf “brownie”. We liked spicy chocolate ice cream and mango sorbet the most. “Brownie” though promised on almond flour, was too greasy and not chocolaty at all as it is made only with cocoa powder, without chocolate added😔and didn’t hold together( guys, add chia or flax meal egg(1 tb spoon of chia/flax plus 3 tbs of water equals one egg, around 55-60 grams) Cacao- on homemade almond milk with spices added was nice and very similar to ceremonial authentic cacao, though depends on your taste to such things, it doesn’t remind European cacao for those accustomed to it. Would definitely recommend the place!

Found this little gem in the heart of Tulum just off of the main strip. A fantastic vegetarian and Vegan restaurant with a solid variety in options. We had the guacamole (freshly made and delicious), vegan Chile relleno, and mushroom veggie burger. They even made us some fresh hot chile sauces that were a combo of smoky and fire, but not too hot that it lost flavor. The staff here was above and beyond kind and took great care of us. A couple of the employees are from the States, so if your Spanish isn't that great no worries you can get along swimmingly here. A must dine spot for anyone visiting Tulum!

Cheap, fast and decent. The shrimp tacos were pretty good, but I was missing some lime or guacamole to go with it. However it was really cheap, and the tortillas were great! Definitely an affordable and tasty meal!

The service was fast, perfect for a quick lunch. All dishes are very affordable, making it an excellent option for a proper local experience without falling into tourist traps. We ordered a total of 5 tacos and mixed flautas, and every bite was delicious. The lime juice was absolutely refreshing, while the green juice we had was slightly watery. Basic spanish skills are definitely beneficial when ordering at this place. Overall, it's absolutely worth a visit for an authentic local experience with delicious food.

This place has friendly service, they are helpful as much as they can be. Toilet hygiene is very poor, embarrassing to say the least. The food is ok, not the best, a bit slacking on cleanliness of sauce pots, lack of ways to catch flies. They need a wireless card machine, no one uses stripe anymore!

This place was recommended by one of the hotel staff. We asked her where the locals eat, and she stated the price is here we’re extremely low about 2 to 3 dollars per dish. We ordered flautas and enchiladas with a liter of Tamarindo juice, and it came out to seven dollars .

Great service, they supplied complimentary snacks while we had 2 for one cocktails. It was a great experience it wasn’t busy so the atmosphere was less but the host did a great job and making up for it he supplied us with free shots and with some peer pressure he did one with us. Would definitely recommend! They have some very cool swing seats on the tables

This is one of the best bar/restaurant we visited in Tulum. The first place that we did not get the “tip recommendation” on the bill :) and the service was brilliant and super friendly. The bartender Jesus made us amazing cocktails, ask him for “special cocktail” 😍The food was also excellent.

We tried the mixed ceviche and the Mayan plate, both were amazing! The ceviche was super fresh. The staff is super friendly and the drinks are also amazing!

This restaurant is delicious ... we ate here our first night in Tulum, and came back for our last dinner, too. It was the only place we ate twice during our week-long vacation. The sushi is as good as or better than a lot sushi I've had in California. The staff are super friendly. And the garden in back with the pond is so fun! Our nearly-three-year-old son loved feeding the fish and turtles. Oh, and he loved the sushi, too!!! We'll definitely eat here again next time we come to Tulum.

Good atmosphere but the food was okay. I tried the shrimp taco I forgot the name of it but it was good except for the hard shell. The shrimp inside was delicious I just feel that they could've used a tortilla. The hard shell tasted stale.

Food was a bit hit and miss. Sushi was good but chicken we sent back as it was burnt. Only 1 guy serving tables and running the bar, he was over run with just 7 covers when we were there. Waited too long for food. Get the sense they were short of people in the kitchen to. Owner apologised and offered us a drink.

It’s Asian inspired food. My girlfriend who is a sushi guru who come from Korea and have traveled to Japan several times wasn’t impressed but since we were craving “Asian” food last couple days we were satisfied. The Pad Thai is not really pad Thai. Delicious food but the noodle was completely wrong type and didn’t even have eggs inside and was very saucy. The food is delicious but shouldn’t expect excellent Japanese food. Eat Mexican food when in Tulum.

We happened upon this lovely place when we were looking for a place to hang, wait for a bus. We were instantly greeted by beautiful people, who invited us to the beer garden. What a beautiful place. We had some beers, served to us by Paco, the warm soul who instantly made us feel so welcome and at home. We didn’t intend to but we ended up eating from their delicious menu because our neighboring guests had ordered and the smells were enticing to join! We loved it. A must when in downtown Tulum. Xx

Sushi was delicious! Tuna Sashimi... I ordered two! Jugo de maracuya, great and the yuca they bring while you wait for your food, great too. There were only two other tables and food still took a long time to come out. Servers were very nice though.

Highly recommendable. Just ate there and was very satisfied. Insideout rolls with two ingriedience just 80 pesos. You might also be lucky as we were and get cocktails for half the price ( 2 for 120 pesos). Classic margharitas were 80 pesos.

Good Burger is appropriately named. The cheeseburger was tasty and well cooked. The place has a fun ambiance, server was totally indifferent.

Lovely rooftop spot for the evening! The breeze made it a comfortable escape from the heat, and the atmosphere was really nice. A couple of things to note for future visitors: The bill came with the tip already circled and labeled in Spanish as a “suggested” amount — but for tourists, it could easily be mistaken as mandatory. It ended up being about 20% extra, so double-check before paying. Also, they didn’t offer the burger menu at first — we had to ask for it, even though it was advertised at the entrance. It might be confusing if you’re expecting to see those options right away. Overall, still a pleasant experience, but good to be aware of these details!

A three story building with a different restaurant on each floor. Convenient location and open late. Very nice inside with good service and atmosphere. If you are looking for a really " good burger" go somewhere else. If you view the photos the hamburger bun is huge. Notice the burnt top. If you are into bread you are at the right place. The burger was very lean, dry and chewy... very disappointing.... The loaded French fries were very good. The chicken wings were good and the service was very good. The shakes and drinks were very good. Nice atmosphere but stay away from the burgers.....

The rooftop bar above Good Burger (The Good Italian) is one of my favorite places in Tulum. My husband and I came here 4 years ago to celebrate after we got engaged, and this has been our first trip back since. We were lucky enough to have Javier help us with our drinks two nights in a row, he was super sweet and accommodating, even turning on the lights in the unoccupied top floor so that we could have our dinner up there. The food was amazing, and the service was great. Thank you Javier and The Good Italian for making our sunsets the absolute best!

Update: This used to be my favorite burger spot in Tulum. However, the last two times I ordered, the experience was terrible. The beef was unappetizing and appeared almost raw on the outside. The photo here captures when the burgers were exceptional, but those days seem gone. Additionally, they failed to follow the instructions on Rappi, and my order arrived incorrect both times. Instead of filing a claim and requesting a refund, I chose to simply never eat here again. Paying $18 USD for a burger and fries in Mexico—which is more expensive than what you’d pay in Beverly Hills—only to receive subpar quality? No, thank you. From now on, it’s Ruda burgers for me.

Came here to see the Canelo vs. Munguia fight and had a great time. Spent $76 USD on our meal. We had a mojito, 3 XX Lagers, the Tropic Tulum smoothie and 2 cola’s then for appetizers we had the loaded fries which were delicious and the chicken tacos which were a little cold but still tasty. Atmosphere was beautiful!

Ordered the buffalo wings and they brought me 5 drums that were breaded and fried with hot sauce on the side. Also ordered beef ribs and they were dry and bland , the bbq sauce comes on the side and my potatoes were salty. Dont eat here even my boyfriend’s taco were dry and unflavored.

Went to go grab some tequila before we left Tulum. This shop was on the corner. Got a lil bit of breakie and lunch. Had the chiliquiles and added steak (after checking with the kitchen). Perfect crunch to salsa ratio. Everyone's tostada and tacos were great with sol and shot. Id definitely go back. Service was great!

Good Mexican food and good service! Although it seems to be a franchise or “chain”-Restaurant the food was very good - comparable to the food you get on the streets but always in addition with a bit of a “special” (i.e. cheese crust on the tortillas). Also made a very clean impression. The restaurant opened only a week ago.

We had very nice service and were welcomed very friendly! The food was extremely tasty, especially the mixed cerviche. Pricing is fair and the atmosphere is nice, too. It was very warm though, but that was due to the open windows and doors. Would highly recommend this place ;)

I went to this place on a trip to Tulum. I sat at the bar and loved the bartender who was very knowledgeable about tequila, mascal, and Tulum. The food was great especially the salmon tostada. I also ordered the steak tacos, which were a little dry, and the Shrimp tacos which were good but needed some type of acid to cut the friend batter. Only issue we had was they had a sign for 2 for 1 cocktails. When the bill arrived, we were then told that the specual was only from 4 to 6 PM even though the sign did not state as such. Makes no sense also to have a special during dinner time and not 4 to 5 PM when we went.

This is one of the best sushi we had in the long time. The place is very ambient and cool and the service is excellent. We had nori tuna tacos for starters, their famous salmon sahimi and hamachi special rolls with truffle mayo. They also have great selection of beers and awesome drinks. The fish quality is superb and the rice on the rolls is the premium quality which you can definitely taste. This is definitely a great place to visit for sushi while in Tulum, highly recommend it !!

Really nice little spot. There isn’t much sushi around and it’s definitely high quality sushi, we always get sushi when we travel and this was not a disappointment. Great little sushi spot! The menu was clearly marked for gluten and when I told the server he made suggestions too. They also had gf soy sauce. The rolls were delicious and big-8 pieces per roll. We were hungry and with 2 people, we struggled to finish 3 rolls. And an extra special shout out for friendly and honest service. When my husband gave the server $500 pesos too much he brought it back to him and told him. We would have not realized and he easily could have kept it, but didn't. Super refreshing when you always hear the negative about Tulum restaurants. Give this place a try!

One of my favourite meals in Mexico - everything was delicious. Service from Lu was amazing, she gives great recommendations and very attentive.

La Costeña is a great value restaurant on Tulum’s main street. While you will not find groundbreaking taste, the tacos tasted very good and the portion are generous for the price, they also provided salsas and limes. I liked their mix of meats and melted cheese. The restaurant closes late, which is a great convenience. We were seated quickly and the service was responsive and friendly. The room is barely decorated and feels a little tired but do not let this negatively influence you, the food is good. While not a 5-star restaurant, we would still recommend going there as part of your stay on Tulum, they are worth it. Great value. We read good reviews about this restaurant so we went. The food was great! They still had the 5 tacos for 80 Pesos, which we thought was a great deal! The quality of food was really good. We would recommend.

Hands down best pastor tacos in all of Tulum. I have had the others and this place has the best prices and flavors by far. It seems like the later at night it is the better the meat tastes. I think it's because it's been roasting longer on the shawarma! The fresh pineapple is grilled lightly. The cilantro and onions are always the right amount. A plate of 5tacos for 70pesos never disappoints. Especially because they are open until midnight most nights. I recommend you try the pastor with cheese once!!

I first got brought to this restaurant through some Mexican’s when I visited Tulum, I wish I left a review then because I’ve waited a whole year for this meal. I would of paid any amount to eat here and I’m glad I’m back for a month. This is a beautiful place to eat anytime the staff are friendly and professional and polite. I’m actually over happy to be eating again here. This time I’ve got a take away but I’ll post of eating in too. It’s a fantastic food that makes you feel happy once eating. I really couldn’t speak higher enough of this place and recommend your try every single thing before last year and this restaurant I never eaten onions or spicy food or anything really I was a very fussy eater, but this isn’t the same without everything in. So please go enjoy yourself I promise you won’t be disappointed it’s impossible 🔥🇲🇽😍🥰✅

The food was tasty, no complaints there. However, only accepting cash is a big inconvenience. We’ve been in Mexico for 11 days, and this is the first restaurant where card payment wasn’t accepted. There were a few handwritten, dirty signs saying 'Cash Only', but most people don’t come to a restaurant expecting to search for payment info on posters. If you're the only place not accepting cards, you should clearly inform customers up front. We're living in the 21st century — not everyone carries cash these days. It's time to think more about your guests. P.s. That wouldn't have been such a big problem, but my husband couldn't withdraw any cash from 6 ATMs...

Had a great experience with Ricardo for the mezcal cheese tasting. He was very knowledgeable (also a wine sommelier), and gave us tips for tasting and identifying different notes through sight, smell, and taste. We were surprised that the cheeses paired really well and allowed the mezcals to shine. We also stayed for dinner and were impressed with our tacos/meal.

Great spot for a laid back dinner... Mosquitos abound so dont forget your insect repellent. The food was really good. My husband loved the hot sauce. Chimichurri was delightful! Steaks were cooked perfectly! The churro dessert was perfect. Didn't like tbe ice cream too much.

Mamozul is one of the best restaurants we’ve visited in Tulum. First of all, the interior design is stunning—words can’t do justice to the details. When it comes to fine touches in decor, these guys are professionals. The place is absolutely top-notch, a solid 10 out of 10. The service was also fantastic—super friendly and attentive staff. They were very polite and made sure we were well taken care of. There were some delays with the food, but they kept us informed the entire time, letting us know it would be out soon. So, no complaints there. As for the food and drinks, everything was exceptional. The dishes were top-tier, the alcohol was of the highest quality, and the presentation, design, and style of everything were spot on. We loved every bit of it.

El Bajón Vegan is a must in Tulum! The tostadas with the Chorizo Rojo (chickpeas & sunflower seeds) were insanely good – I ordered another round on the spot. The tacos are loaded with fillings, super tasty, and at such a good price. The vibe is awesome and honestly, even if you’re not vegan you’ll love it… but if you are vegan, this place is an absolute must. 🌮✨

Best Vegan place in TULUM!!! Unfortunately we found them on our last day in town and decided on having seconds that night, they are SOO good. We found out by the owner there’s another in PDC we will go for lunch and dinner💚 We started with a Huarache with Chorizo, and 4 tacos one of Milanesa, Pastor, Chorizo and Carnitas. Every single one of them delicious! So much so there was no pause for pictures. On the second order we got Milanesa tacos and a Carnitas tacos, if we could fit it we’d order the same thing it was so good. Make a point to visit and also try their guava dessert, a true delicacy. This place is epic! I’ve never had them be rude to me before and I’ve come here like 10 times. The food is amazing. Unlike most Vegan places, they actually have about 10 different types of tacos. Most only have 1-3. They have something I’ve never even seen before called a huarache! It’s sooo amazing, must try! Also, they have very affordable prices compared to the rest of Tulum. Lastly, they make delectable cupcakes. Chocolate, Dulce De Leche, and carrot. All FIRE! P.s. they have the most authentic Cacao shop in Tulum next door to them too!!! I am from Alabama, this is all a genuine sincere review. I’ve been in Tulum one year now so I know wassup.🔥🔥

No frills authentic pozole soup. Most people come to Tulum for the fancy restaurants, but this is the good stuff. Outdoor seating no aircon so be prepared to sweat a bit, but it’s worth it. Location is easy to miss if there’s cars parked out front. I eat here at least once a week. I always get the green pozole as it’s special, but it seems the fan favorite is the red. Medium is more than enough to fill you up but if you want something special order a sopa. If there’s 4 of you order a mole chilaquiles to share. You’ll see lots of locals so you know it’s the good stuff. Also as friendly on the wallet as can be. Service is always fast and super friendly. LUNCH ONLY!! Make sure you don’t miss this experience!!

This place is the real deal. Great local fare at a reasonable price. The Pozole is fantastic, the mole enchiladas stuffed with cheese are delicious and the lime cucumber agua frescas are large and refreshing. Great place, don't miss it.

I went on a weekend to try their pancita. One of the best I have tasted. The place is clean and nicely decorated. I will definitely be back to try the pepian dishes!!! Amazing food 🎖😍😍 Everything is super tasty and on point. We opted for the quesadillas, 3 different ones- rajas, chicharron prensado y tinga de pollo. We also got the enchiladas de mole (chicken). Everything was delicious. The wait was about 20 min - and absolutely worth it. HIGHLY RECCOMEND for authentic, tasty food. Service is fast and friendly.

Wonderful atmosphere and staff! The food left a little to be desired. I had the muscles and they were amazing but the portion was a bit small. The octopus and vegetables were unseasoned so there is an opportunity there. Loved the sweet napping kitty on staff 🤣🤍

Food so good. Pesto Genovese with added chicken pasta awesome, meat tartare, burrata caprese, Angus burger and a spaghetti with tomatoes and lovely bacon. Really good service. Our son’s 11 birthday and they brought out a piece of brownie and ice cream for him. Really good place. Decoration and music so nice and relaxing. Outstanding place. I am very pleased with my pasta selection. I returned for the pizza, and it was just as amazing as before (though it could use a little more cheese). I highly recommend enjoying the pizza on-site rather than opting for takeaway. This is the kind of thin-crust pizza that’s best savored fresh out of the oven. This place served the best arrachera (skirt steak) I’ve had in Tulum. Unfortunately, when I returned to try it again, the quality had declined. The beef was no better than what you’d find at other restaurants in town, making the premium price no longer justified.

I'm in mexico for 6 weeks and needed some home kind of food. I had the margarita pizza as take out. it was just as I expected, a little heavy on the crust if you love that. good price and nice service. I would go back.

This restaurant is amazing, great atmosphere, service and staff. Food comes fast and tastes great. 100% recommend the pepino y limón smoothie as well as the fish and shrimp tacos. My family and I ate at this place >3 times in our one week stay due to it being so delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great lunch/dinner (A must visit for all Tulum goers)

The food here is great. So fresh and tasty. Tacos and ceviche are highly recommended. The staff is not very friendly and sometimes it looks like they're not in mood to work. Is totally worthy it to have a meal there, despite their mood.

Is a hood place to consider if you visit the area. Super casual place with good food . Service was fast but one of the guys super nice the other not so much. Food was yummy and is inexpensive for Tulum. They have happy hour. Parking is on the street.

This is right in the downtown of La Veleta and serves one of the best Ceviches and combo of tacos. We had the black ceviche and fried octopus with the sampler tacos combo - it was great! The serving size was decent too. Definitely recommend!

Great spot to try fish tacos! The quesadilla and especially the ceviche are must-tries, it’s definitely a standout dish. Be sure to add this place to your visit list, it’s worth the stop. Just a heads up: it’s pricey. Very pricey. But honestly, the quality makes it understandable.

Great experience here. Very close to ADO bus station. If you have a bit of a wait I highly recommend coming here while being in Tulum. Food was quite good. The sauces that come are tasty. The piña coladas (happy hour) were excellent. We had 3 pescados and 3 camarón tacos. Also had a bunch of XX so that factors into our pricing. But overall very fair and affordable price. Sorry would have more pictures of food but we ate it all too fast! 😅

Service was super friendly and helpful. The food was neat and tasty. I ordered octopus burrito - it was okay but there wasn't plenty of meat there, just a few pieces. Overall experience was good but the price was a little bit higher than I expected.

Everything we got here was phenomenal! The hibiscus agua fresca, the watermelon agua Fresca and the Horchata were amazing and we all chugged them after our cenotes tour. I’m pretty sure that we got every single type of taco they offer and not one disappointed! I would be careful with the chilly oil though because it will sneak up on you and take you out if you’re not careful hahaha!

Somewhere between a 3 and 4 star place. The food isn’t bad, just a little plain, I would say the service is the best part as the inside is quite dark and a little unwelcoming. That said, the food came fast and it wasn’t bad.

Me and my husband came here for breakfast during our trip. We ordered chilaquiles and they were super delicious. The food was very affordable and quick.

The food was very good. They even made me an iced coffee which isn't on the menu. Minus one star because they told me they take cards then change to cash only, which was a problem.

Suggested by our host in Tulum. We weren’t disappointed. An unassuming and authentic experience that I would unconditionally recommend. We had the fish tacos and a couple varieties of pork. Very reasonably priced. It’s low season when we visited so the restaurant was quiet but service was still great.

The BEST tacos we had while in Tulum! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We could have/should have eaten here every day! Great prices! We ordered probably too many tacos as well as the melon and tamarind waters.

I live to stop by Potheads when I am in Tulum. Usually I go to the beach location but wanted to check out their town spot. Everything was great as always, vibes are on point. To start, the food is very good, we ate there for breakfast and dinner and enjoyed both. For the price, you get good portions. The drinks are great too. The manager Elli is incredible, I had a great conversation with him. He informed us of places to visit and when to avoid the expense price tags and the big crowds. Overall the experience was great and the music is good just to top it off.

Potheads in Tulum is an absolute gem! We came here for breakfast and loved everything about it — the laid-back vibe, friendly staff, and, most importantly, the amazing food. The French toast was perfection — crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The iced coffee was delicious and refreshing, the perfect start to a warm Tulum morning. And the chilaquiles with a fried egg on top? Unreal. Flavorful, comforting, and cooked just right. We ended up coming back twice during our trip — it’s that good. Don’t miss it!

The food is great but this time I only ordered two margaritas, they came in a scotch glass, very small . $30 , everything down on the strip is just way over priced. Twice as expensive as the States , I would of given them 5 stars if they didn't charge $15 dollars for a regular margarita .

This new restaurant has an eco chic boho style design with private tables in different levels of the restaurant. Great for bigger groups of friends. Their dinner menu is small which is a good sign to me. They offer around 5 vegan dishes, 1-2 vegetarian dishes, and 2 fish dishes. I had their watermelon juice which was pretty freshing. Then, the friendly server brought out the amazing complimentary garlic bread with chimichurri sauce. So I though woah this place is going to be amazing. I ended up ordering the quesadilla, the quinoa bowl, and the mushroom enchilada. My favorite was the quinoa/lentil bowl, it was a very peculiar smokey mildly spicy taste which I had not experienced before. The enchilada came in second as it was just an okay dish, after the quinoa bowl you just expect more, a few things could be improved in this dish, the mushroom filling needed some flavour. The quesadilla was unfortunately the last, it barely had any filling , super dry. It had a creative twist with a green leaf around it but the day I came in for it , it wasn't good. So for dessert they make this amazing corn/banana ice cream. It's has some of the corn fibers in there which is different but super delicious, innovative! Tasted like a modern twist in vegan Mexican dessert. I'd come back just for that bread, the quinoa bowl, and the Ice cream. 🤩

First time in i ordered the green smoothie and as a courtesy was given 2 cups instead of 1, which i thoroughly enjoyed. It was very refreshing. Second time in, on our way out of town, they accommodated our needs and made us lunch during breakfast time. We ordered a pizza and the avocado toast which was sooo delicious. I highly recommend the avocado toast, i would seriously come back to Tulum just for that! The environment was very relaxing, it was designed perfectly. Customer service was great also! Thank you!

Wonderful Airbnb! The kitchen was being renovated while we were here, so we didn't get the full menu. But the fresh breakfast was wonderful and the people ar all so nice! This town has many vegan restaurants too! Definitely a great place for a vegan vacation. Stay here and you won't be disappointed!

A very warm and loving environment, Angel welcomes you into this beautiful space. A dog friendly oasis in downtown Tulum. The perfect hangover recovery breakfast spinach crêpes are my favorite or açai bowls. If you’re feeling under the weather, they have elixir options for healing. The community also is host to various yoga classes.

What an incredible restaurant! The best vegan food I’ve ever had in Mexico! The place is absolutely stunning and picturesque, with such a positive vibe. The owner goes out of their way to add a personal touch for every customer. The risotto is packed with flavor, and their guacamole is so fresh and delicious! They also host various events daily, and you can even rent bikes or ATVs without needing to leave a security deposit. Truly an unforgettable experience!

This spot was the perfect place for my partner and I after working out at the Tulum Jungle Gym Pueblo which took about 8 minutes to get to on an ATV. Angel greeted us so warmly and took great care of us. The ambiance of the space is beautiful. I especially love the copal burning in the background. The food tasted exceptionally fresh and great quality. I got the spinach crepe with a hot almond matcha while my partner ordered chilaquiles and passion fruit juice. It only took about 10 minutes for our food to get to us since there was only one other guest in the restaurant. Next door there is a beautiful yoga and pole studio I cannot wait to visit next time after nourishing my body at Vivo!

Love, love, love this place. It has a chill open-air vibe, great service, and wonderful food. Being both vegan and gluten-free can be difficult when traveling. I hit the jackpot with Vivo and the most excellent service from Diego is icing on my Tulum experience cake. ❣️

This restaurant is not vegan. I wish I could write a different review but this restaurant labels almost all items as vegan when they are actually serving you animal products. I’m glad I checked review before ordering because I asked before ordering the omelette and learned they were offering me organic or not organic eggs — but neither are vegan egg substitute. This was something reviews had mentioned 1 year ago, and it’s unfortunate to see the restaurant has still not adjusted. The menu does not mention anywhere that non-vegan (animal) eggs are even an option so many customers have probably come and assumed they were getting vegan food. The server checked with the kitchen and confirmed other items like toast were available without the egg, but not much else. Egg substitute will return in one or two weeks they say — but if you’re vegan, I would suggest that you try another place or ask questions before accidentally getting eggs or cheese that are animal products. I hope the ownership here updates the menu and advertising to not mislead customers. Products that have an egg or a vegan egg option should be labeled this way rather than letting people believe they’re getting vegan items.

Very cosy place. The staff is extremely friendly and they make you feel at home. They recommended the veggie/vegan burger to eat and it was one of the best burgers I had in my life. The kitchen is extremely clean as well! If you like a good cocktail you are at the right place! We will definitely come back here!

the best Mexican food in my entire life!! we had the purple fish ceviche, grilled octopus, beef short rib (a little sweet, but perfectly cooked), and 3 different cocktails. the ambiance is so chill, and the music is lovely and unique. there was a guy playing the saxophone and then he switched it up to the guitar. the prices were fair and the seating was unique. it has a hang out vibe and seating, like a bar, yet the food is absolutely amazing! our server was bilingual, too.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Tulum. I come here every time and it’s always the short rib I get. It’s incredible. I’m a foodie and this place is my favorite. Cocktails also on point. Quaint and nice atmosphere. 😍

We dined at TU following our mezcal tasting with Sam, which was simply brilliant. And we can't recommend this restaurant highly enough! The food, fusion and delicate, Mexican from several regions and sophisticated, is incredible. So far, it's the best we've had in Mexico and in Tulum. Far from the exuberant prices of Tulum beach, the value for money is unbeatable and above all, the dishes are really delicious with as many meat and fish options as vegan and vegetarian for me. So we recommend it to anyone who wants quality local food.

Absolutely fantastic meal and the service was equally Impressive. We visited the restaurant last year on our holiday and knew we had to come back to Mexico from Scotland to experience it again. It truly did not disappoint! The ceviche is the best I have tried! Already looking forward to my next visit.

When you are a foodie, just look at the menu. You will understand. Ingredients are key and the menu is not so big. We came here for dinner with no expectations, we only wanted to go here because we walked by it 3 times, and each time, the atmosphere was refined. From the music to the lighting and the decor. We ordered mostly all vegan options and it was mouth watering delicious. We had the mushroom with beets, the stuffed peppers and sweet potato as an appetizer. The sweet potato was perfectly cooked, super soft in the inside and crispy on the outside. Prior to our appetizer, they offered us bread with a mushroom spread. The bread was perfectly toasted. Warm and right amount of crisp. I can go on about the balanced taste of the food but I would say, it’s their sourced ingredients and chefs skills combination that made our dinner so memorable. Lastly, we had the BEST FLAN cake with chocolate ice cream on the side. The cherry on top! The services was fantastic. Always important factor to give a restaurant complete 5-5 stars. Love seeing creatively and passion at this level.
