Pub
Restaurant
The Bulls Head in Barnes is a family-friendly pub offering traditional British dishes and a welcoming atmosphere. It has been a renowned venue for jazz since 1959, hosting performances by various artists. Just across the river in Chiswick, this pub combines modern flair with traditional charm and offers good pub food, from hearty classics to contemporary dishes. Additionally, the village where it's located has historical significance dating back to the 18th century when wealthy residents built grand homes there.
Arranged to meet with friends on a wet June Saturday afternoon / evening so may explain why bit quieter than usual. Had the little room at the top of the pub to ourselves which has a great view over the River Thames and railway bridge keeping the young children in our party entertained plus we had a dog with us. Very attentive service (calling out Kelly and Richard); decent choice of typical pub fayre on the menu plus nice selection of specials including a tasty grilled hake with new potatoes and asparagus; good selection of beers (including alcohol-free).

I had no intention in writing a review, however after a couple of bites of my Signature Burger I had to give credit where credit is due. The Signature Burger here at the Bulls Head was delicious, and I don't say that lightly! I've had a few burgers over the years but this one is hard to beat. I don't think I've tasted a Burger so intensively beefy and juicy, hopefully this explains my half eaten Burger photo...de...lish...ous! I also had the vanilla custard slice with strawberries which again was a delight to eat. Staff were very attentive, service was quick and very reasonable prices. A great experience.

What a lovely pub. Very friendly staff, beautifully cooked food and right on the Thames. We were only in the area for two nights, but both nights we ate there
Jan B — Google review
Friendly enough service but not gonna lie, some of the portions were small. One slice of ciabatta for the bruschetta starter and one small fish cake for the fish cake main were embarrassingly small. To be fair when they asked how everything was and we told them, they did discount a main. Sort of feel for the staff as this is no doubt a head office portion control issue. What arrived was tasty enough though.
Tom B — Google review
Had a fab Mother's day celebration with my daughter and her man, and his Mum. We had a booking inside, but it was such a fab day we ended up asking to eat outside. The staff and manager accommodated us, and when the tide came up 2 of us were served dessert inside, while another 2 outside- excellent "navigation" (gettit?) and flexibility on your part
Veronica C — Google review
Such a lovely place for dinner and drinks. Amazing view of Thames river and the food as well. The service was great and Kelli was very kind and helpful and happy to explain everything. Highly recommended.
Dimitrios B — Google review
My experience was so so good i love coming to this pub!! Amazing food and service makes it all the better. Special mention to my server Dora who was so on it and makes my visits 10x better! The service was so fast and she would get me what i needed without me even having to ask. Definitely my favourite pub by the river. And James too makes a great Hugo Spritz + served with a smile :)

I wish I never ate there although the location is idyllic. Sadly my experience ended with food poisoning. Outside tables were sticky and dirty. To get anyone to clean them you have to wait for ever. Staff has a PhD in not noticing customers, so you have to waive and call out as loud as you can for them to look up from wherever they look to avoid eye contact with the customer. Worse still was the food. I had a massive food poisoning there when we took our client out on 20/05. Both me and my business partner ordered risotto with seabass and prawns. Hers arrived cold so she returned it and got fish and chips instead. Mine was tepid and I ate a little bit of that when I realised the food tasted like it was reheated from the day before. The rice actually had an acrid taste and fish was chewy. I ate maybe 1/4 of it but it was too late. I ate enough of it for the damage to be done. Started feeling sick as soon as we left the place. By the time I got home I was in excruciating pain and next morning the armageddon of vomiting and diarrhoea + the worst headache ever, started and lasted for 3 days. I didn't recover until Saturday, lost over £1000 in income as I am self-employed and missed out on our home staging assignment, lost tickets to Chelsea Flower show. I contacted the company but just as I thought, they have fobbed me off with "we will investigate fully". That was weeks ago and 0 response since. Well, they have fobbed off the wrong person. I will now make sure that this does not end there.

Italian restaurant
Q Verde is a charming family-run restaurant located on Sandycombe Road, just a short six-minute drive from the Kew Botanic Gardens. It offers a delightful villagey ambiance and serves homemade pasta along with Italian fish and meat dishes. The Mediterranean eatery is well-loved for its nutritious food and exceptional service, making diners feel right at home. While some visitors have noted that the food quality may have declined slightly over time, others appreciate the friendly and attentive service provided by the lovely owner.
Absolutely amazing! Dinner at Q-verde was such a delight for a Friday night. The food was divine and the wine was delicious 🤤 Although it is small, the staff were courteous and attentive while giving guests their privacy at the same time . Have I talked about the food?? We were a party of 16 and no one complained about anything. Our food came at the right time and at the right temperature; no one’s order got mixed up. I would certainly recommend!

An outstanding restaurant. The owner is very personable and hands on. The space is inviting. The food is extraordinary. Do yourself a favor and enjoy a meal here.

Very pleasant experience in Q Verde. Excellent service, food, vibes, and absolutely worth the price. Been 5 months in London, this is the best! Moreover, it’s just authentic Italian food ❤️. When I went here with my husband for his birthday, my husband was also surprised with a wonderful ice cream. Thank you, Q Verde!

Absolutely amazing - I felt like I was transported to Italy with the amazing service & delicious cuisine here. The specials included a Black Truffle Ravioli to die for! One of the best Italian restaurants in London - couldn't recommend it more :)
Toby E — Google review
I’m on my way there and already giving QVerde 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️. If you know, you know!!! Do not hesitate. We have eaten here almost every evening for 6 weeks. We are sad we only have 6 more!!!!
Heather B — Google review
Attractive Italian eatery in close proximity to Kew Gardens. Service was friendly and attentive. Although the pasta was well cooked we felt that we could have produced a similar tasting dish at home for a fraction of the price. The orange chocolate cake was luxurious and a decedent was to end a well rounded meal.
The F — Google review
One of our favourite restaurants. Amir is always so welcoming and friendly. The food and drink is superb, including some delicious wines and pasta. There is a good variety of options on the menu. The restaurant offers a warm, relaxed atmosphere, and is well situated for all transport links. Highly recommended.

Hospitality was excellent, like you are welcomed into their home. Very appreciative, attentive and genuine people. The food was authentic, fresh and delicious. Great atmosphere and food was reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

French restaurant
Restaurant
Ma Cuisine is a 1950s-style bistro located in the heart of Kew Village, offering a traditional French dining experience. The restaurant features classic decor with black-and-white tiled floors, Impressionist posters, and gingham tablecloths. Housed in a former post office near Kew Gardens train station, this charming establishment provides an ideal setting for enjoying regional French cuisine and world-class wines at affordable prices.
We booked a table at 9:15pm after checking out the Orchids After Hours. We were a bit concerned it might be too late since the kitchen could close not long after we arrived, but the chef was super cool and waited for us until dessert was served. The food and service were amazing! We felt really welcome and relaxed—it was a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back!
Sophia Z — Google review
Had a very late lunch here on Sunday. The place is not too big, not too small, very pleasant atmosphere. 2-courses meal costs 25 GBP, tasted great. I think that's so nice and affordable for this good french cuisine, in London! Would love to try more dishes if I come around Kew Garden again.
Arusa S — Google review
We traveled to Kew Garden and tried this restaurant. We ordered from the lunch course menu. The food tasted good. The service was horrible. 1) The final bills were wrong, if we didn’t check, would ended up paying £8.5 for things we never ordered. 2) The small plate for bread looked like a saucer. 3) The staff came to clean the plates of starter while I didn’t finish the food. I made this situation clear but the staff insisted that I could put the remaining food in the ‘saucer-like’ plate, for him to continue taking my stater plate. Based on the whole experience, we rejected to pay for the service charge. Also, FYI for the dog owners, the restaurant is not dog friendly.
Mercy X — Google review
An extraordinarily tasty lunch in a charming small bistro in Kew. The set lunch menu offered superb value for money and everything looked and tasted wonderful. The assiette of pâté with small pickles, a sweet honey mustard dressing and slices of cold meats was delicious, light, and perfectly balanced. My main of parmesan crusted chicken breast, with morel mushroom slice, baby potatoes, pickled red cabbage, and broccoli was both filling and very enjoyable. A large glass of the house rosé went down very nicely indeed - all for the exceptional price of £39 per head. A true gem of a place if visiting Kew Gardens.
Martin M — Google review
Had a late lunch here after a visit to Kew Gardens. Two courses for £25 with a great choice of French bistro food. Had salmon assiette to start which was deliciously fresh followed by Confit Duck which was so tasty and fell off the bone. Quick service and excellent value. The type of restaurant we dont see much of any longer but need to.
C82 — Google review
Lovely French Classic, good foods with good selection of wines and French ciders. For the starter, we had Grilled mackerel, scallops and pate’ which were delicious, little less impressed with the main course but no complaints here, worth stopping by after visiting Kew Gardens
K. H — Google review
Sat a outside on a cute street with lots of small village charm. This is an adorable petit French bistro! Unfortunately the chicken dish was out, so I opted for the vegetarian item of the day. It's was delicious. I started with the French onion soup, per recommendations. It was good, but I regret not trying something else. Highly recommend stopping by after a visit to Kew!
Michael B — Google review
Delicious french cuisine. A small restaurant with the perfect number of choices, preemptive service, and beautiful decor. Well priced and portioned, a great date night location. Would love to come back to try the lunch menu. Broccoli was a little undercooked, and dish descriptions a tad brief.

Indian restaurant
Restaurant
Rara Kew is a vibrant and minimalistic dining room that specializes in serving traditional cuisine from India and Nepal. Situated in the charming borough of Kew, this restaurant has gained popularity among locals and Londoners alike, drawing visitors from far distances to experience its unique allure. The menu offers a delectable array of exotic Indian and Nepalese dishes that are prepared using healthy cooking methods, resulting in flavorful, aromatic, and light meals.
Sandhya, the waitress was so kind, welcoming and accommodating. We arrived at the restaurant 40 mins before the closing time and Sandhya, who I previously talked to via phone, made sure we could have dinner somehow (at the table or takeaway). When we arrived, the table was already set. She explained their signature dishes and we followed her suggestions. We had Korma, Rice, Nepalese special rice, pagari peero lamb and sahazaadi masala (my fav). All delicious. We were not expecting such delicious meals. Thank you
Annino P — Google review
Super tasty, flavourful and fresh Nepalese food. Must try the special Nepalese daal - it’s to die for! Service was attentive and nice. Restaurant was very quiet for a Thursday night so lovely for a peaceful weeknight dinner.
Katy M — Google review
Went here after visiting Kew Gardens. It was a quick walk from both the gardens and the tube station. My party consisted of one person who doesn't eat pork, one vegetarian, and one gluten-free person, and this restaurant had ample options for all three. The food was fresh and flavourful and beautifully presented. The service was also incredibly warm and hospitable. Huge servings and the price was reasonable. We'll definitely come back next time we're in Kew!
Esther S — Google review
I'll start with the positive, the service was excellent. The gentleman who served me was friendly and professional. I had the gurkhali lamb curry with plain rice. The spices were gentle (although I prefer spicier) and you can tell they sautéed the veg and onions fresh as they had a nice crunch. Rice was fine. Lamb was a bit tough. Now my main issue: When you go on their website, they feature a 10% off food for dine-in's M-Th. When I asked the server about this after eating, the server called the owner to confirm the details and after some back and forth, came back to say the offer was for customers who made reservations only. And immediately I called bullshit, but I let it slide. I knew it wasn't the server's call or his fault, and I advised him to let his boss know that there would be angry customers if they didn't specify these conditions on their advert. There were no conditions for this offer (see picture) and I had a feeling the owner was being dishonest and wanted to charge me full. Customers are customers, whether walk in or reservation. And it was only me that evening. It's dishonest practices like these that leaves a bad taste in my mouth, as if I've been taken for a sucker, and won't make me return. Which is a shame as I had wanted to try different items on the menu. It is repeat customers that make revenue. Not one time customers who feel cheated after being misled by a promotion. By earning £2 more in a one-time meal, they lost exponentially more earnings from multiple meals.
Anna L — Google review
Really excellent food - some of the best Indian/Nepalese I have tried. Our waiter was polite, friendly and was happy to recommend dishes (which turned out to be very good). Relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend and will return.
Simon L — Google review
This was so disappointing. Most of the food was okay, but the chicken was inedible. We immediately had to spit it out as the texture was off and chewy. The worst part of this was when we politely explained to the waiter and he said “are you sure?” & denied there being anything wrong with the chicken. He said nobody else has complained - but the restaurant was empty. Eventually the chef came out and also denied the issue and lectured us for 5 minutes about how the chicken is supposed to be cooked, which was incredibly patronise and simply irrelevant to our complaint. We were originally happy to leave with no issues, so long as we didn’t have to pay for inedible dish, but the attitude of the staff was so rude and off putting - they really need to learn about decent customer service. Avoid!
Sarah — Google review
Amazing place for Indian food dining. We had Butter chicken, Gorkhali lamb and Sukha Pancharatna with Garlic naan. All dishes are highly recommended, including Onion Bhaji. Our host Mr. Vinod was very nice and made us feel at home. Excellent ambience and hospitality. The food was made spicy as per our taste and a special mention about presentation of lunch. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely visit again
Ameya M — Google review
Absolutely awful. Ordered a takeaway-cost 80 pounds. 3 pieces of chicken in one tikka masala - same with the prawn, all sauce, no prawn. The prawn tandoori had just 4 prawns. We paid a fortune for a very poor meal. All In all we’ve had 6 pieces of chicken, 4 prawns, some rice and some spinach and one inedible nan bread for 80 quid! Our order came an hour early, the reason we were told, was there had been an issue with the kitchen. They should have cancelled our order, what came wasn’t good, and the money. Avoid.

The Express Tavern is a refined and traditional pub located near Kew Bridge, offering a comfortable atmosphere, cask ales, and a menu of comforting food. The pub features a carved bar and a leafy beer garden with pub-style benches and large parasols for weather protection. It's conveniently situated on the way to Gunnersbury Park, making it an ideal stop for drinks or lunch with its superb value menu.
This place was hoppin'! Lots of options for seating. We were surprised to see daily specials, and just happened to be a Wednesday, steak special night. We each ordered a different steak. They weren't 5 star tender, but combined with all the offerings, sauces; I'd give 4.5. The value well worth it. The pub pup definitely was comfortable with all the activity! We will head back for sure

Came here for lunch (after reading another review) after visiting London Museum of Water and Steam (also recommend that if you’re in the area). A group of 8 with kids and they were exceptionally lovely and great value (sarnie and a drink for £6.50!!!) and delicious food. They even serve before midday which is great for hungry young tummies. You won’t regret coming here. They also had a great selection of beers and real ales!

SUNDAY ROAST. Good but could easily be a lot better. We had the sharing with 3 meats for £33. Meats not the best quality and only enough chicken for one person, but for the money was ok Vegetables, very good, tasted fresh. Ordered extra brocoli, which we didn't need. Yorkshire pudding was nice but was too large and would have been better with two separate smaller. Left half of it. The big disappointment was the gravy. It was tasty but FAR too thick. Similar consistency as cement (nearly set). I would go back but avoid the sharing. Staff friendly but had to order from the bar, annoying while you are eating.

Express Tavern Review This pub is in a very good location for Brentford FC home games. Very friendly place for rival fans to mingle a chat. Never had a any problems. With people wearing home and away shirts having a drink together. Busy on match day. But never a very long wait to order a drink. Always friendly banter available. This was certainly a good day for the Express Tavern. It's possible to get a quick burger near the entrance. However, I've never tasted the food.

First time in London, so I figured trying out a local pub/restaurant was ideal. I’ve travelled quite a bit and always get served at my table by a server, but seems like in London you just ask for your meal and drink at the bar, pay for it and choose a table. I know the Brits aren’t used to tipping which is also kinda strange for me. But I had a great meal, at a GREAT price because I came in before 5pm and was still able to get their lunch special. The chicken sandwich, soup and coke was only £6.50, what a deal? Visit this place if you’re in the area!

Wow! What a pub! A proper pub pub. Absolutely fantastic. Went for the Fulham game against Brentford. Has loads of choice for drinks. A middle conservatory for eating/drinking with tvs showing live footy and a garden with plenty of room for a summers evening.
Carrie- ( — Google review
Popped in recently and had a lovely time! The garden area’s brilliant – nice and spacious, perfect spot to chill in the summer. You can order food from your phone using a QR code, which is handy – though oddly, the drinks menu isn't on there, so you’ll need to head to the counter for that. Might as well just order everything there if you fancy saving a bit of faff. The food was absolutely delicious – special shoutout to the sauce that comes with the crispy cauliflower bites… such a tasty mix of sweet and spicy, totally hit the spot! Everything we had was proper tasty, and the service was friendly too (which includes Hummus and bread, Crispy Cauliflower bites, Mediterranean pie, Thai Curry rice to name a few). Bonus points for having big screens out in the garden – they had the cricket test match on while we were there, which was a cracking touch. All in all, a great visit – would happily come back!

Embark on a delightful culinary adventure at Chatora, a modern Indian restaurant that brings the vibrant essence of North Indian cuisine to life. Nestled in Richmond, this three-story gem features a charming terrace and offers an extensive menu that showcases regional specialties. From sizzling Seekh Kebabs to creamy Paneer Lababdar and comforting Dal Makhni, every dish is crafted with high-quality ingredients and attention to detail.
We visited Chatora as a family of four—two adults and two kids—and had a fantastic experience. From the warm welcome to the relaxed, stylish setting, everything made us feel right at home. The food was excellent, and the lamb kebab was the clear standout—tender, flavorful, and beautifully grilled. It came with delicious sides and was a hit with both adults. The kids also enjoyed their meals, which were thoughtfully prepared and perfect for younger diners. Service was friendly and attentive, with staff who were great with the kids and happy to offer recommendations. The atmosphere was ideal for a relaxed family evening—elegant but never stuffy. Special thanks to Sahil, Sabina, Leticia and the team for an outstanding hospitality. We left full and happy, already planning our next visit. Highly recommended for families and anyone who appreciates quality food and warm hospitality!

We visited Chatora in Richmond with high expectations, especially since it’s listed as a Michelin-rated restaurant. We opted for the two-course meal with unlimited Prosecco. While the service was attentive - the staff made sure our glasses were never empty - the food was underwhelming. The dishes were just okay - certainly not what you would expect from a place with Michelin recognition. Flavours lacked depth, and presentation was average. Overall, it felt more like a standard restaurant with a good drinks offer rather than a fine dining experience. It’s a shame, because the bottomless Prosecco was well-executed, but the food simply didn’t live up to the hype.

Delicious food but a bot underwhelming for a Michelin star. Mushroom in veg biryani was very chewy. Mutter paneer was decent. Service can be improved
Kshitij D — Google review
The staff were friendly and helpful, the starters were delicious as was the garlic naan bread. The curry tasted good but there wasn’t much difference in flavour between the tikka masala and the spicier dish we chose and I wished they’d used chicken breast as opposed to thigh. All in all it was a nice meal and we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you.

We came here for dinner via the Fork. Place is close to Richmond station with free parking nearby after 4:30pm. We got the poppadum. We had the pani puri, sheekh kebab and paneer tikka. All were great with a kick to it. For the main we got Lamb saag and chicken curry with naan and rice. The food was quite spicy and flavourful. Bill was around £55 which is reasonable.

Nice cozy spot! I traveled from the hotel near the airport because of reviews and it was worth it! Staff was really nice and welcoming. The lamb shank Rogan Josh!! Chef kiss! I had it with pulao rice and garlic naan. Paired well with my hibiscus cocktail. Great service.

The Food was awesome ,we had the anjeer lamb chops, it was tantalising, mouthmelting and juicy , also sexy chicken stater was lovely , chilli garlic naan with dal.makani was authentic( yummy) .along with some drinks... cocktails..The service handled by Lucsita and Sahil were warm..and great..we had fantastic lunch with bluey cozy ambience. we will visit again soon...we were 4 people

Ive been looking to visiting this restaurant for a while now, first visit last Sunday, a bit gloomy once in side, no one to greet me as I entered, a good buzz coming for the mezzanine floor above. Starters of the Calamari came I good time, good taste and crunch, the mains Handi Gosht, creamy sauce but dull flavour, the side was the Dal Panchmel, a mix of five dal…nice, but oh the tempering of cumin and garlic was too burnt and spoilt the over all dish. I ordered the Lamb Biryani to go..for twenty pounds! I had hope for a better dish, very dry three bits of lamb, even with the provide sauce it was way to dry, over all disappointing from a Michelin restaurant

White Horse is a low-ceilinged pub in Richmond with wooden floors and mismatched tables. It has an 'edible' beer garden, and serves burgers, fish and chips, and mac and cheese. It's popular among locals on weekends, but can be quite noisy.
We have just rounded off a fantastic weekend trip to watch the rugby with a fantastic Sunday roast at the White Horse in Richmond. A really brilliant proper pub with a superb Sunday lunch menu that catered for all our family. The Pork Belly bites were incredible and the Cauliflower Cheese you could eat on its own… a must try! The staff were brilliant and easily the nicest roast I’ve had in years!

Lovely pub on one of the nicest spots on the Thames in Richmond. Service is very pretty good, the staff is quick and they attend you once you re at the bar . It’s really good on Sunday

Exactly what we had hoped for after our 14km hike in the park. 5 minutes from the park entrance and 5 minutes from the Overground Station. But nicely tucked away on a quiet side street. Definitely worth the wander off the High Street. A classic pub that has a good lunch menu (picture attached), and a good wine selection. The very attentive and welcoming host made us feel right at home. Once we made it obvious we were hungry AND open to some good banter, our lunch came as quick as his quips. Then we discovered that the Fish and Chips were prepared Gluten Free, a real bonus for a celiac like myself. There's an outside back garden for the sunny days and a cozy feeling inside for those damp and dreary days. Wander in, it's worth it.

Had an amazing time here, the food was incredible, in particular the sticky pork belly bites and the beef roast. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive all throughout the meal too. As cosy as a pub can get and a great place to watch the rugby too.

We love our local pub. The food is top notch and generous in portion size, staff are lovely and make you feel at home. Michael is a legend! Vegan and dog friendly 🥰

Stopped in at The White Horse in Richmond and was really impressed. The beer garden has a lovely atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed afternoon or evening. The food was excellent—fresh, tasty, and well presented—and the staff were warm and welcoming throughout. A great spot all round, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

Good pub a short walk from the station. Decent food; Sunday roast is always popular. Very popular with families, particularly those with young children. Direct access to a small local authority playground through a back gate - plenty of slides, swings, climbing frames, and so on for young children to burn off energy. Reasonable prices.

Just had a lovely, tasty, chicken & mushroom pie (with all the trimmings) & it was very reasonably priced too, so thank you guys 😋 - you should put pies as a permanent option on your menu #britishpieweek

The National Archives of the United Kingdom, located in Kew, is a significant repository for the country's historical documents dating back over 1,000 years. Similar to America's National Archives, it houses a wide range of important records from the Domesday Book to modern government papers. Visitors can explore various topics such as wartime events and even UFO sightings through the extensive collection. The facility offers online record searches and welcomes visitors to view original documents in person with assistance from helpful staff members.
After a captivating visit to Kew Gardens, with its stunning greenhouses and vibrant landscapes, I decided to extend my day by exploring The National Archives, conveniently located nearby in Kew. With daylight still illuminating the area, it was the perfect opportunity to delve into the intriguing world of espionage at their free exhibition, MI5: Official Secrets. This immersive display offers a rare glimpse into the clandestine operations of MI5, Britain’s domestic intelligence agency, and it’s an absolute must-see for history buffs and spy enthusiasts alike. The exhibition masterfully highlights the stories of notorious foreign agents, like the Cambridge Five, and celebrates the unsung heroes who have safeguarded the nation over MI5’s 115-year history. Fascinating artifacts, such as Guy Burgess’s leather briefcase and a 110-year-old lemon used for invisible ink, bring the shadowy world of espionage to life. I was particularly struck by the revelation that spies rarely use facial disguises like fake beards, as they’re too easily spotted—an inconvenient truth that shatters cinematic stereotypes! The interactive games were a highlight, offering a fun and engaging way to test your spy skills, making it a hit for visitors of all ages.

I had a fascinating first visit to the National Archives researching my family history. I started my application online for a readers card which is essential to be able too use the full archive but it was a simple process, which I completed when I arrived at Kew. The assistance I received from the staff at the National Archive was excellent, they were patient and understanding and seemed to have as much time to give as was needed to help visitors get the best out of their visit. Parking... There is adequate parking available which is payable using machines in the main foyer. Blue Badge Parking... There is a good number of Parking spaces for those with Blue Badges, split between the front and back of the building. Disabled Access... The building is well designed for all people using the facilities, with ramps and lifts as an alternative to stairs. Toilet facilities are equally well thought out. Food and Drink... There is a large refreshment area with both casual seating if you're just having a quick Coffee plus a large number of places to eat at tables. Be sure to check the closing time of the hot food service, it isn't the same as the Archives. I went on a Thursday which is the late opening day of the National Archives, yet although the archive wasn't closing until 7pm, the hot food stopped at 2pm and there definitely wasn't a full choice of options at 1.30pm. There is book-come-gift shop on the same floor as the refreshment area.

I had an incredible visit to The National Archives! The facilities are spacious, clean, and well organized, making research smooth and enjoyable. The staff truly went above and beyond. When I had an unexpected emergency and did not have coins to buy sanitary products, a kind staff member at the CR1 desk generously gave me a packet of pads and tampons without hesitation. This thoughtful gesture meant so much to me. Later, I thought I lost my passport at the Archives and emailed security in a panic. Shane Daly, the Duty Security Manager, responded almost immediately and arranged for me to collect it quickly. Their prompt and caring response really eased my worries. I also loved the shop, which has a great selection of unique merchandise and fascinating books. I bought an MI5 notebook and a book, which were perfect souvenirs. Overall, The National Archives offers an excellent experience, from the helpful staff and smooth processes to the fantastic resources and welcoming environment. Highly recommended for anyone interested in history or research!

Interesting exhibition of MI5 and MI6 espionage and secret service history. The exhibition is free to visit but weekends can get very busy and there might be a wait. There are plenty of car park spaces as well as a cafe.

Went to the amazing MI5 exhibition featuring Slow Horses by Mick Heron which is a series Apple TV. The purposeof my visit was to watch the first new episode of Slow Horses now in its fifth series. (Shameless plug but worth it, please watch and thank me later). The staff here are beyond helpful. I was with my mum who has mobility issues and they looked after us both with dignity and respect something missing in some venues. The evening was great, location beautiful. Want to go back soon to spend some more time there. Oh yes.. Swans..

Beautiful quiet place with some amazing free exhibitions, interesting archives and a bookshop with extensive military history titles to buy. I visited first time to see the exhibition on MI5 and it was incredibly detailed, well-explained and immersive.

Nestled in the heart of Seattle, Starbucks Coffee is a beloved coffeehouse chain that offers a delightful blend of signature roasts and light snacks, all while providing free WiFi for those looking to work remotely or simply unwind. This cozy spot boasts friendly staff who create an inviting atmosphere, making it perfect for both casual coffee breaks and productive work sessions.
I was on the way to Kew Gardens and I stopped by this Starbucks, good hot drink served by a very friendly and joyful barista, Chan!

Ordered two refresha venti, unfortunately more than half of both drinks is ice, it's extremely bad value for money, I'm not sure if it's just this shop try to make it so cheap or stuckbuck in general, very disappointing!
Grace G — Google review
I went to Starbucks this morning for coffee. I specifically mentioned while ordering that it was for have-in, but when the drinks were ready, they were given in takeaway cups. I politely told the staff member that I wanted them in mugs instead, as I had requested. Instead of simply correcting the order, she became rude and started raising her voice, questioning why I needed mugs. As a regular customer who comes to Starbucks every day, I found this behavior very unprofessional and offensive. I had to explain that I had paid for my drinks and that it is my choice how I’d like to have them. Despite that, she continued mumbling and showing a poor attitude. This kind of treatment is disappointing, especially at a place we visit daily. Starbucks should ensure staff treat customers with respect and provide service without unnecessary arguments.

Nice Starbucks! Stopped by to grab some drinks and snacks. Had the Matcha Frappuccino and Peach Iced Tea. Both were great and the baristas/staff members were friendly and very speedy. One of the few stores that open a bit later in the area but with limited seating especially after 6/6:30 PM. Overall it was great and not too crowded while we were there.

Just went in to get a cookies and cream frappe, was told they were out. The guy at the register was so friendly and suggested to tiramisu one, made sure I was aware there was coffee in it. And the lady made it. They offered to make me a new one if I didn’t like it and they were so lovely and quick with making my drink. They really made my day 🫶

Aleksandra J — Google review
"The poor service standards in Kew Gardens just keep getting worse. Went in Tuesday afternoon (June 10th) for lunch and encountered yet another staff member with a serious attitude problem. Zero basic manners - no 'please,' no 'thank you,' just pure arrogance and rudeness throughout the entire interaction. The whole experience was made even more ridiculous by their insistence on taking a name for the order when I was literally the only customer in the place. Completely pointless corporate procedure that just wastes everyone's time when common sense should prevail. It's frustrating when businesses can't seem to grasp that basic courtesy and using your brain about when to apply policies would go a long way. When you're dealing with one customer and can't even muster basic politeness, you've got serious problems with your service culture. There are better options around where staff actually understand that treating customers decently is part of the job."

The straightforward yet fantastic menu features unmatched flavors and attention to detail. This food and floristry establishment is the brainchild of the renowned couple who have created a hidden gem with fresh food, excellent wine selection, and a wonderful flower shop.
My friend and I had the best time last weekend at this restaurant. She was staying at a nearby hotel. For me getting here from the station was pretty easy (just make sure you find the correct overpass to cross). Everything about it was fabulous. We absolutely loved sitting outside. The food was absolutely stunning. The cheeses, olives and bread it was served with were just perfect. We also had a few tacos. While both veggie tacos we tried were fantastic, I have to give it up for the black bean taco as it was easily one of the best tacos I have had in London. All of the flavors came together perfectly and I ended up deciding to have a second one instead of desert. So shout out for a great meal, look forward to visiting again when in Kew.

I bought a bouquet consisting of peonys, roses and lilys on a Friday. When buying them, the roses had a couple of brown petals but the owner assured me that they were okay and had been prepared that day or the day before. We went away on Saturday and returned on Sunday to find the peonys and roses completely dead. The lilys were okay. The flowers were kept out of the sun with plently of water. Not sure if the roses and peonys were old ones that had been added to the the bouquet

Curry Bae is a delightful culinary gem that offers an enticing meal for two deal, perfect for those looking to indulge without breaking the bank. Recently, a couple enjoyed a fantastic dining experience featuring crispy pakoras bursting with flavor, alongside rich lamb jalfrezi and heavenly butter chicken. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for satisfying cravings like their delicious chicken korma paired with naan. Beyond casual dining, Curry Bae also excels in catering services.
Highly recommend Curry Bae to serve Indian Canapés at your event! Thanks to the whole team for their hard work & organisation and most importantly, the really tasty & well-presented canapés. Can’t wait to hire Curry Bae again for a future event!

We hired CurryBae to cater our wedding, and it was genuinely one of the best decisions we made for our big day. From start to finish, their service, professionalism, and incredible food exceeded all expectations. Right from the first tasting, we knew we were in good hands. The flavours were rich, authentic, and beautifully presented—and they somehow managed to make everything even better on the actual day! The team arrived early, set up quickly, and were incredibly organised throughout. They handled everything with ease and a smile, and were so warm and welcoming to our guests. Their attention to dietary needs (vegan, gluten-free, mild vs spicy options) was also a huge bonus and made everyone feel considered. As for the food—wow. The butter chicken was a huge hit, the lamb curry was tender and full of flavor, and the veggie dishes were just as loved. The naan was hot and fresh, the rice perfectly cooked, and the chutneys and sides added so much personality to the meal. We even had people going back for seconds! We received so many compliments from our guests saying it was the best food they’d ever had at a wedding—and we agree. CurryBae brought warmth, flavour, and a lot of heart to our celebration. If you’re looking for something unique, personal, and absolutely delicious for your event, look no further. Thank you again for helping make our day unforgettable! Dharen and Sophie

We ere recommended by friends and visited after a day at Kew Gardens. An amazing Indian dining experience! The butter chicken is rich and flavorful, the naan perfectly soft and crisp, and the samosas are crispy with a deliciously spiced filling. The mushroom rice was recommended and it didn’t disappoint. Paired with friendly service and a welcoming ambiance! Thanks

We were really excited to try this place. The chicken tikka from the grill was delicious, hot and fresh and so had high expectations for our other dishes. The rice (stuffed full of mushrooms) was good, the naan bread was lovely and fresh too. But our other dishes were a bit disappointing. Just didn’t seem as flavourful or have the layers of spice of authentic Indian dishes we would expect. However the service was excellent and they they did make it up to us.

The most delicious pizza I have ever had in London! Quickly served and literally meting in your mouth! Highly recommend. Make sure you ask for tap water, otherwise they will give you small bottle water for nearly £4. Otherwise perfect place.

Pizza @ Kew Gardens visit !! Good place for a quick bite if you’re visiting Kew Gardens. Lovely staff to greet us; take orders swiftly & serve our food quite quickly as well. Decor and vibe was ok. Food was very tasty. Aubergine parmigiano, 2 other pizzas, one starter..good enough quantity for 5 of us. Worth a visit if you’re looking to eat pizza when visiting Kew Gardens.

This was an amazing experience! The pizza was absolutely delicious — the best we've ever tasted. The ingredients were fresh and of outstanding quality. The service was also exceptional: the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. We can't wait to come back. Truly the best pizza we've ever had!

I spent the day at the botanical gardens and was pretty starving after having walked that much. I found this place to be a very convenient location right next to the Kew Garden Station. I didn’t have to wait for a table and my food came fairly quick. Although, the service was a bit slow in flagging down someone to clear my plates and order dessert. But the food was amazing, the pizza crust was fresh and the salad I ordered was the perfect portion. The tiramisu didn’t miss too. This dinner was a great way to end my day in Richmond.
Mimi S — Google review
I personally don’t like too much crust on a pizza, I like a balance on it. I told them if they could make it again as it was just crust and not mozzarella and mushroom, just a lil on the centre. They made it again but I don’t think they understood the crust was still a lot. I’m Italian I go really often to Naples for pizza, and they don’t make such a big crust. Positive things; Ingredients are good, good quality. Location/design is nice. This one in the picture was the second pizza, the one which supposed to be with a decent crust.

Lovely crust, good flavours. In true Neapolitan style, the bottom of the pizza is very thin and quite soggy, so the pizza base doesn’t hold its shape when you try to eat it. However, my friend and I had a pleasant dining experience and service was good.

Nestled in the heart of the community, Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre is a vibrant hub for sports and fitness enthusiasts. This expansive facility boasts an impressive array of amenities, including a spacious swimming pool that caters to both adults and children, as well as indoor courts for various sports. Fitness aficionados will appreciate the large gym equipped with over 100 stations, alongside dedicated studios for group exercise classes.
Since moving to the area the leisure centre has become my local gym, and after 2 months of regular visits I’m very satisfied with the facilities! The gym itself has great equipment for all levels of gym goers, and the membership locker rooms are great. Thoroughly enjoying my time here.

Booking swimming via the website isn’t possible and they don’t pick up the phone. The timetable online can differ from the actual timetable in half term so it’s risky just turning up. The staff are pretty nice on the whole. The guy working the water slide on Tuesday 27th was really nice and was really encouraging to my little girl. They have a wave machine too. The place is a bit run down, but it is good. You need a £ pound for the locker. For an adult and a 6 year old to swim was £10.
Zee — Google review
Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre offers a decent range of sports and leisure facilities, including a spacious swimming pool, indoor courts, and fitness areas. The water temperature in the pool was pleasantly warm and well-suited for both adults and children. However, the air temperature inside the swimming area was noticeably cold, especially for young kids — which made post-swimming quite uncomfortable. The general environment is clean and well-organized, and staff are polite and helpful. There’s a good selection of indoor activities and classes, making it a versatile place for families or individuals looking to stay active. The only major downside is the chilly indoor air, which really needs addressing — especially in the pool area where it affects comfort and the overall experience. Overall, a great local centre with solid amenities, but it would benefit greatly from better indoor climate control.
Soheyb S — Google review
They scammed me. I registered only for the pool, when I asked to see it they said “its closed for the day”, after I subscribed and paid, they said it closed and probably won’t be open for next month. and to cancel they are asking me to keep my account active 60 days and pay them for no reason. This is very bad and I have all email communications with them, so unprofessional.
Mohd M — Google review
Facilities and staff are amazing but many times we came for swimming but sometimes it was closed without notice. It really hard to make understand your little ones that pool is closed and phone lines are unattended most of the times. There must be a way to inform the public in advance if the pool is closed.
Robin P — Google review
Terrible service, dishonest approach to customers. I sustained an injury in the pool due to overcrowding and poor team performance. Even though I couldn't use the pool, they charged me for two months of club membership. I couldn't achieve anything. The quality of the pool and changing rooms leaves much to be desired. I do not recommend!

ment, I am writing to formally express my concern and disappointment regarding a recent experience at your facility. As a paying member and a parent, I was surprised and frustrated to be told that I am not allowed to sit and wait for my child while they participate in their activities. I find this policy unreasonable and inconsiderate, especially given that I am simply trying to ensure the safety and well-being of my child. As a parent, being nearby is important both for support and in case of emergencies. I understand that centers have their rules, but denying a parent a place to sit while waiting for their child seems unnecessarily strict and lacks empathy. I would kindly request that you review this policy and consider making accommodations for parents who are not interfering with the facility’s operations. I hope this matter can be addressed fairly and professionally, as I would like to continue being a part of your center under respectful and reasonable conditions. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.
Marinela A — Google review
Good place to play racquet sports. But worse of the worse if you are a member. Do not sign up to this scam! They promised me (special for me) to bring a friend three times a week for racquet sports for the first month and after that two guest passes (same stuff) each month. When I brought my friend they blocked my access card in the first month. Got that resolved. Then after the first month, when I got my friend for racquet sports as guest entry, they denied and said that's not on their policy. I do not mind the policy itself, but why lie to me in the beginning to get £120/month for me wife and child? And then changing statements. Also, in the first month, when I went through the entrance, every time somebody on the desk would tell me some different conflicting rules. I would debate for 5 to 10 minutes. Then they'll schedule a call. And out of the 1 hour I would have booked 10 minutes went in debate. They're best if you pay as you go for the racquet sports. Their locker rooms aren't great. And their swimming pools were closed for the two months I went there. And when you cancel, do remember it should be before the next month's direct debit or else you'd be paying for another month.
