Lake
Xuan Huong Lake, located in the heart of Dalat, is a popular spot for both locals and tourists. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks around the lake, relax on benches or grassy areas, rent boats, or take a horse-drawn carriage ride. The picturesque surroundings include pine forests and flower gardens. However, issues such as garbage collection and illegal fishing have been noted.
Xuan Huong Lake in Dalat is a peaceful spot. The calm water and green trees make it a great place to relax. You can enjoy pedal boating on the lake, which lets you see the beautiful views up close. An evening walk around the lake is very nice, with the sunset making everything look golden. The cool breeze in the evening is refreshing. Whether you are boating or walking, Xuan Huong Lake is a lovely, quiet place to visit.

Beautiful lake right in the heart of Da Lat! I really enjoyed walking around this lake—the scenery is lovely and the cool Da Lat weather makes the walk even more pleasant. Circling the lake on foot also led me to discover some hidden cafés that aren’t usually visited by tourists, since most people tend to stay around the busy city center. A relaxing and refreshing spot to explore!

Chùa Linh Phước is a renowned pagoda in Dalat, Vietnam, known for its stunning mosaic art created from shattered glass and pottery. It is a popular attraction along with the Truc Lam Zen Monastery, offering visitors an opportunity to immerse themselves in the tranquility and wisdom of Buddhism. The pagoda's intricate mosaic artwork captivates every visitor, while the monastery provides a serene environment for meditation and self-reflection.
No entry fee. Convenient to go by Grab or local trains. Unique Chinese temple with all the glass made decoration. Its style and colouring are liked the churches in Spain. Visitors can experience how the local worshippers admire their god via the decent and detail-minded statue. One of the 觀音 statue is made of fresh chrysanthemum flowers, very impressive. Don’t forget to visit the “18 levelled hell” inside the basement exhibition hall. Worthy to pay a visit.
Waha F — Google review
Linh Phước Temple in Da Lat is one of the most striking and intricately designed temples I’ve ever visited. When we arrived, it was extremely busy, buses, motorbikes, and cars all trying to squeeze into the last available parking spots. Despite the crowd, the atmosphere remained peaceful and respectful. The temple is covered in vibrant, detailed mosaic artwork made from glass, pottery, and tiles, every surface is a visual feast. The grounds begin with a peaceful garden filled with flowers and fruit trees, followed by an area selling religious and gemstone items. We entered the main worship hall next (note: shoulders and knees must be covered and shoes removed). Inside stood a serene golden Buddha with a halo, surrounded by ornate pillars and wall murals. The bell tower is another highlight. Visitors can write wishes on slips of paper, attach them to the protective film wrapped around the bell, and ring it for good luckyI rang it twice, just in case! The most breathtaking part was the giant standing Buddha, surrounded by rows of golden statues across multiple levels. There’s even a towering Buddha statue made entirely from dried flowers. Linh Phước Temple is not just a place of worship, it’s a living masterpiece. Definitely worth the trip.
John W — Google review
This is one of our Dalat must-go pagodas. It is a historic Buddhist temple famous for its unique mosaic architecture, created from thousands of broken ceramic pieces and colored glass. They also have the Guinness world record for the most chrysanthemum built Guan Yin statue. The majestic Guan Yin hall was grand and spectacular. We also visited their collection hall as well as the 18 Level of Hell. Highly recommend.
Kong S — Google review
I definitely recommend visiting this place. Be advised there is basement floor (B1 and B2) to visit for free. The place is reachable by train which departs at 09:55. Make sure you buy one way ticket at the entrance because the train heading back down is only an hour apart and there usually is not any other train there. It takes 30 minutes to get there so you will roughly only have 15 ~ 20 minutes on site if you choose round trip. You will find Grab taxis around the Temple for your way back.
Tommy C — Google review
A very interesting and beautiful place. I definitely recommend visiting it and not necessarily as part of a tour. Free entrance. We went by taxi on our own. Beautiful and very atmospheric. Lots of statues. There is an opportunity to go down to hell. It is better to go in good weather.

Linh Phước Temple in Da Lat is one of the most striking temples I’ve visited in Vietnam. The entire complex is decorated with intricate mosaics made from broken ceramics, glass, and porcelain, giving it a colorful and almost surreal look. Every corner reveals another layer of detail, from the tall dragon statues to the stunning 49-meter tower. Inside, the main hall is filled with ornate statues and carvings, creating a spiritual yet visually overwhelming atmosphere. The temple also has a giant bell where visitors can write their wishes before ringing it, which feels both symbolic and memorable. It’s a bit outside the city center, but definitely worth the visit if you want to see something truly unique in Da Lat—both for its artistry and its spiritual significance.
Jay Z — Google review
Beautiful architecture- pictures said it all in the other comments What cannot be missed? Spend some time to go down to the basement, you’ll discover ‘HELL’, literally. Find the ‘Ox head and horse face’, the guardians of the underworld, and discover the eery world of the afterlife. No entrance fee. Free parking but do remember to take your bike before the parking locks at 17:30 😉

best place to catch the sunset! the view is probably one of the most breathtaking i've seen. felt surreal to the point i almost cried LIKEEEE it was that beautiful 🥹 just felt so grateful to be alive in that moment. 10/10 experience for sure 🫡

Travelers coming to enjoy nature please take note before coming/booking: swimming isn't allowed because "people have died in it before," kayaks and sup boards are hard to come by, either you book a guided tour in the city center, however if you want to rent solo for 1-2 hours you still pay 300-600k (someone has lost their mind, renting a scooter for a day is cheaper). Additionally, large ugly resorts have gated off and developed a large part of the lakeshore, well other "hidden" areas are littered with trash, but if you can look past that fact and try to get closer to the water, I've been told locals will report you. So yes, this lake is romantic and scenic, however, it isn't what it seems. It did offer me a nice drive, although you can encircle the entire lake. Over all, this experience was so disappointing for a natural-born lake girl.
Amanda C — Google review
A very nice lake and a pleasant, but long walk from the city if you're up for a nice hike. Many sights to see on the way there. I didn't go out on the lake, just sat on the shore and enjoyed a coffee and the cool clean air. There are both paddle boats and others you can rent. You can also take a cable car up to Truc Lam Buddhist monastery from the lake, which is a very serene and beautiful site. I went there last year from Robin Hill. Great views from the cable cars.

Valley of Love, located just 6 km from Dalat city in Vietnam, is a romantic park known for its whimsical art, ornate gardens, and a lake where visitors can ride swan-shaped boats. Surrounded by the charming Da Thien lake and endless pine forests, the valley offers a picturesque and poetic scenery that has made it a popular destination for marriage proposals and honeymoons.
Excellent peaceful park. There is an entrance fee. You should look at the map before exploring the area. You need to walk down to get a buggy. It will bring you around the area and have a stop at the miniature buildings in the world. The trees and flora are well kept and very beautiful. They even put animal sculptures along the areas. Awesome There is a museum with statues of famous people like trump, Beckham, mr bean etc
Norsa'adah — Google review
Very nice place and big. You have small buses to take you to the far places. Good experience. You have couple of options for the tickets. We took one that included the glass bridge and it cost us 400,000 dong.
מילנה מ — Google review
Tucked away just about 5 km northeast of the city centre of Da Lat (7 Mai Anh Đào Street, Ward 8, Lâm Đồng Province), the Valley of Love is a dreamy, romantic landscape that blends natural beauty, historical intrigue and leisure activities — ideal for couples, families and those wanting a reflective escape. Originally in the 1930s the area was known by the French as “Vallée d’Amour” (“Valley of Love”), because French-colonial couples used to come here for weekend outings. During the reign of Emperor Bảo Đại it was briefly dubbed “Valley of Peace” (Hoa Bình Valley). In 1953, under the initiative of the then-town council chairman Nguyễn Vy, the name was officially changed to “Valley of Love” (Thung Lũng Tình Yêu) as part of a wider movement to replace French-language place names. The valley is nestled among pine-covered hills and, following a dam constructed in 1972, a lake called Đa Thiện Lake was created in the valley floor which enhanced the scenic effect of water + forest + hills. Walking in, you’ll notice the broad lawns, the lake with swan boat rides, and the iconic “Love Lock” bridge where couples affix padlocks as a symbol of enduring affection. On the hill side, the trail up to Vọng Cảnh Hill takes you through pine forest and flower fields; from the top you’ll get sweeping views of the valley and lake below. The gardens often include hydrangeas, lavender, maze-gardens and themed statues for photography. For the more active, there are horse-rides around the meadow, cable wires, paintball, zip-line games, team-building areas and more. The Valley of Love delivers a relaxed, slightly whimsical vibe: the cool climate of Da Lat (average ~18-21°C) fills the air, the pines give a soft rustle, the lake reflects cloud and tree. For honeymooners or couples it evokes a gentle romantic escape; for families or friends it offers enough variety of activities. That said, if you’re seeking deep wilderness or solitude, you might prefer some of Da Lat’s less-visited corners — this valley is a popular and therefore well-developed destination, not raw wilderness. Getting there: From the city centre it’s a short ride; follow Mai Anh Đào Street toward Ward 8. Best time: Because of its elevation and forest setting you’ll get comfortable weather year-round; flower seasons (e.g., mimosa bloom) offer extra charm. Entry cost: As of recent reports the adult ticket can run around VND 250,000 (includes some rides) though children/discounts vary — always good to check current rate. Visitors should allocate at least 2-3 hours to wander the grounds, take photos, possibly ride a swan boat, and relax on the hill vantage point. Consider visiting earlier in the day to avoid crowds and to enjoy the light on the lake. The Valley of Love is exactly what its name promises: a scenic, tranquil spot in Da Lat where nature, history and romance merge. It is charming without being overly extravagant, accessible yet substantive. Whether you’re on a romantic getaway, a family outing or simply want to escape the bustle for a while, it offers a memorable stop. If I had one small caveat: as it is popular, some areas can feel a bit commercialised — but its natural setting still holds firm. A very worthy addition to any Da Lat itinerary.
Ermek M — Google review
If you are a tourist, do you waste your time here, utterly pointless, no proper flowers or something to look. Despite of the rain they sold the ticket with the glass bridge, which is not safe when its heavily raining with lightning. It’s absolutely nothing to see 400k VDN.in vain
Aysha S — Google review
So many fun places to play and take pictures. Good for couples and families or friends.
Sally — Google review
The ticket seller was a fraud. He told us that there is a zipline for children and also Marriott cars. After I entered, it became clear that children cannot play on the zipline and also children cannot play on the Marriott cars.
Saleh R — Google review
Depending on time of year it can be very touristy and people push in front when waiting for the free buses. A bit tacky but the drinks and food are priced well.
Aaron H — Google review
The Valley of Love in Da Lat feels like a magical escape, a place that immediately fills you with warmth and joy. From the moment you step in, there’s a sense of excitement in the air, with bursts of color and whimsical sculptures creating an almost dreamlike atmosphere. Strolling through the valley, you can’t help but feel a little lighter, swept up by the romance and beauty surrounding you. The sparkling lake invites you to paddle along its calm waters, and as you drift, there’s a quiet peace that settles over you, matched only by the soft rustling of pine trees. Couples share laughter on cozy benches, families bond over photos, and friends walk along paths lined with heart-shaped flower beds, each soaking in the valley’s playful charm. Every corner of the Valley of Love offers a new surprise, from hidden nooks for quiet moments to open areas alive with color and life. By the time you leave, you feel recharged, as if you've experienced a little piece of paradise. This valley isn't just a place to visit; it’s a place to feel, enjoy, and remember.

Its beautiful gardens, meticulous upkeep, and rich historical exhibits make for a truly insightful and memorable visit.
Zalikha I — Google review
Visiting Bao Dai Palace in Da Lat was like stepping into a preserved chapter of Vietnam’s royal past. It was fascinating to walk through the home where Emperor Bao Dai and his family once lived, surrounded by pine forests and beautifully manicured gardens. The palace is well maintained and still holds much of its original charm. Inside, the rooms are decorated with the original 1930s–1940s furniture and layout, giving a glimpse into the royal lifestyle. You can explore two levels of the residence, including the reception areas, bedrooms, study rooms, and even the old bathroom and kitchen — all kept as they were when in use. The rooms are roped off but visible, and many have informative signs or portraits to give historical context. What stood out were the vibrant carpets, mid-century armchairs, and elegant views out to the lush gardens. Outside, the gardens are immaculately landscaped and full of bright flowers, trimmed hedges, and stone walkways — a peaceful place to slow down and take it all in. Set aside at least 60 to 90 minutes to explore properly. It’s not only a palace—it’s a time capsule, and definitely worth visiting while in Da Lat.

Many tourists visit here. Its worth visiting if you have spare time in Dalat. Yet if you are here for only a day or two, I recommend trying other places instead. I would say it is not something so unique or special relatively compared with places like the Crazy house etc.

Although I don't really like the life of this last king of the Nguyen dynasty, this palace was well-preserved in very good condition. It showcased how luxury the Royal family's life used to be. Worth a try if you're interested in history.

Domaine de Marie, also known as Vinh Son Church or Mai Anh Church, is a landmark pink church located in a serene setting just 1km southwest of Dalat city center. Established in 1944, this architectural gem combines seventeenth-century European design with Vietnamese folk architecture. The church sits atop a hill and is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, making it a unique and picturesque attraction in Dalat.
For those who are far away from home and sometimes you may think about relatives, friends, family, those who are still here and those who are no longer walking with you. I guess it is always appreciated to share your thoughts and give them a sign of gratefulness and to protect them wherever they may be. As a church, no ticket is needed, of course. If you want to walk there alone, I would recommend to avoid prays and Sunday time. Nonetheless, any time is decent to have a prayer and walk through the cross path.

This church stands out with its stunning and distinctive architecture. 🌸 The surrounding area is beautifully decorated with flowers that are iconic to the town, creating a perfect and harmonious atmosphere. A worth-visit spot for both spiritual reflection and breathtaking photos.

It’s a rainy Thursday in Dalat and we visited the Domaine de Marie church! It gives off French vibes and is very beautiful! French-Vietnamese colonial-style Catholic church and convent, characterized by its prominent deep pink exterior, tall triangular roof resembling a Central Highlands longhouse, and the presence of French-inspired stained-glass windows and European architecture. It combines the architectural features of Normandy, France, with the architectural elements of the indigenous ethnic groups. The complex also features a statue of Mary created in the image of a Vietnamese woman. It’s also observed to be one of the favourite tourist spot in Dalat, tour buses of visitors would drop by every few minutes.

The only place I personally recommend visiting in Dalat is here at Dalat Pink Cathedral. It is highly recommended to spend a quiet time here in the cathedral, leaning back elsewhere. It maintains the architectural style of the French colonial period and allows you to enjoy your thoughts while breathing in the clear air.

Domaine de Marie is a peaceful spot in Dalat with a touch of French colonial charm. The pink church set against the greenery feels both elegant and serene, making it a nice break from the busy city. The grounds are well-kept, and you can walk around to enjoy the quiet atmosphere or take photos of the unique architecture. It’s not a long visit, but definitely worth a stop if you’re exploring Dalat.

Lovely and peaceful church to simply spend time in prayer or silent adoration. The soft contemplative music soothes and yet uplifts. The convent grounds are beautiful and well kept, offering healing from life's noises. The various statues add to the wonder of nature: circular panes, shuttered windows, hydrangeas, roses, pine trees and more. Bumped into a small-built sister in a room by the side who happily shared the graces of the Miraculous Medal: God bless her and the Vincentians for their service to the needy.

Chợ đà lạt, also known as Da Lat Market, is a bustling marketplace located on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street. The market offers a wide variety of food and drinks on its second floor, which are only available during the day and are reasonably priced. Visitors can easily locate this vibrant market using Google Maps, making it a convenient destination for exploration.
Cho Da Lat is very happening at night, they transform into Da Lat Night Market. There is a wet market, which should be the gist of the market. It’s linked to Dalat Center, Cho Moi Da Lat. Greatest buy is a hair clip for my queen! Yay.
Kong S — Google review
Try to make some bargain when you come to this market to buy the local products. This place become a popular attraction in Dalat. Especially the ladies carry the Berry, grapes, strawberry, vegetables on the street, the price will be higher than the supermarket. Skill of bargain totally need to be using when dealing with these ladies. Samething happen when buying the local dry fruit and snack in the market building. Bargain is the must or just hang around without buying anything. Compare the price as well. Interesting place to see the local fresh products.

Da Lat Market is a vibrant hive of energy that captures the spirit of the city, both during the day and especially at night. Inside, you’ll find stall after stall stacked with colorful dried fruits, preserved snacks, herbal teas, artichoke products, and local specialties. The chilli mango was a standout and my favorite —sweet, spicy, and addictive. You’ll also spot giant jars of freeze-dried strawberries, passionfruit jam, and fruit-infused candies that make perfect souvenirs or snacks for exploring. Outside, the atmosphere shifts into overdrive as the sun sets. The market square becomes a sea of people, at times we found it hard to move at any pace—locals and tourists alike—enjoying grilled street food like sausages cooked over hot stones, cups of juicy Da Lat strawberries selling for 20,000 VND for a small cup or 40-45,000 VND for a large cup and they were delicious, and other quick bites. There’s something thrilling about being among the crowds, especially on the steps overlooking the night market. It feels like the heart of Da Lat pulses here. Fresh produce vendors offer immaculate boxes of strawberries, and the variety and presentation are photo-worthy. Whether you’re shopping, tasting, or just soaking in the atmosphere, Da Lat Market is not just a place to visit—it’s an experience. If you’re in Da Lat, set aside a few evenings to come here. It’s chaotic in the best way possible and full of delicious discoveries.

The vibe of the market is superb! The best time to visit is in the morning if you want to experience the traditional wet market atmosphere, with stalls full of fresh vegetables, fruits, fish, and meat. It’s bustling and lively early in the day, giving you a real feel of the local life. Definitely a must-visit when you’re in Da Lat!
MA R — Google review
Dalat Market is full of life, colors, and local flavors. You can find almost everything here – from dried fruits, mushrooms, and local snacks to fresh produce, flowers, and street food. The indoor stalls are neatly arranged with friendly vendors, while the outside area is buzzing with food carts, fruit sellers, and clothing stalls. We tried the famous Bánh Mì Xíu Mại, hot and flavorful, and enjoyed seeing locals queue for their favorite street snacks. Fresh durians, sweet potatoes, and beautiful dried flowers are sold everywhere, adding to the charm of the market. What makes this place special is the lively atmosphere – locals chatting, vendors smiling, and the true feeling of being part of Dalat’s daily life. Even on a rainy day, the market is vibrant and worth exploring. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience authentic Dalat culture, shop for souvenirs, or simply enjoy delicious local street food. Don’t miss it when you’re in Dalat! 📍 Tip: Come with an appetite and bring some cash, as most stalls don’t take cards.
Jason C — Google review
Lots of different vendors outside the market, but once inside, almost every stall sells pretty my much the same thing, dry fruit, tea, etc, quite typical market targeting visitors. I wish they offer more character.

So many things on offer from clothes to food and everything in-between. Quite a big market if you go all the way round but great fun and good vibes. Must see if your in Dalat
Barry W — Google review
Long-standing market area, many historical stories. Later, a new Dalat market was built next to the old market. There are many goods, most of which serve tourism. a food trading area, and a small food-store. Especially the night market, it's very crowded. Prices are good, there are stores with good prices, but many stores are very expensive. Need to ask the price carefully before buying

Nestled in the picturesque city of Dalat, Vietnam, the Dalat Railway Station stands as a testament to the region's French heritage. This historic station, dating back to 1932 and designed by renowned French architects Moncet and Reveron, is not only the oldest Indochinese station but also holds the distinction of being the highest in altitude within Vietnam at 1,500 meters above sea level.
If you are not boarding tourist train , you have to pay entrance fee 50,000 VND , this station building is of western architecture with3 spikes, representing 3 peaks of Lambiamg mountain range. At front of station , there is flower garden , best place for check in and instagrammable . Inside, there is exhibition about the past of railway station and audiovisual Display about train travel in vietnam. Further to the platform, there are bogies and train, transforming into cafe, icecream and sweet shop and there is a place to boarding tourist train which takes about1-2hours for RT trip.
Chajchawan N — Google review
The railway station is a charming spot to visit, though it has changed a bit since I was here two years ago. Back then, it was free and open to the public, but now there’s a small entrance fee, likely to help with maintenance and the lovely gardening. While there isn’t much to explore, it’s a great place for photos, especially with the vibrant flowers in the front and the iconic building in the background. Inside, you can check out the vintage train, which adds to the nostalgic vibe. There are also vendors selling handmade crafts, which makes for a nice touch. It’s a quick stop but worth visiting if you enjoy history and photo-worthy spots.
Jamie H — Google review
Would not waste time or money here unless you are a dressed up Vietnamese girl or bus tourist whose sole goal is to take innumerable selfies with the flowers out front. Literally any European train station is more architecturally impressive and better maintained. Station is gated off for entry without buying a ticket only to be granted access to go in.
Dasha P — Google review
If you take a private car to visit Chùa Linh Phước, the journey takes only about 10 minutes. However, we chose to travel by train, which took around 30 minutes. The experience was fantastic. The historic small railway station evokes memories of the colonial era. Today, the station is adorned with vibrant flowers, highly Instagrammable. While beautiful, the modern touches seem somewhat out of place compared to its old world charm.

A place of historical significance, has all the info and history on the railway network in Vietnam. Has a few trips from dalat to trai mat trains about 7kms, it’s not just a museum sort of So look for the timings and experience the train ride. Has a small platform and some shops. Has Some dummy racks and a steam engine

French styled station, not in use for passenger services but short tourist rides can be taken. Lovely old buildings and gardens. A token fee to enter, 5000 dong, worth the payment if your in the area. A couple of good cafes here, not overpriced and serving good coffee.

I went the 3 times. The first time was about 3 years back. Everything was slow and you are free to take photos. Then 1 year and a half year ago, they started to collect money for parking. Just a typical old railway station with many stores selling accessories. And the vendors help to craft your name or messages into the rice or woods. Price varies from 20k-and above depending on bulk purchase. No recommended if you running out of times. Cool place, came here with a friend. We spent about an hour roaming around and taking picture of course. That’s more then enough time. Restroom was slightly dirty. Also expect tons of tourist roaming around, so would recommended to come early to get that perfect picture. Catch the old train for a short trip either from or to the central staion. Takes you back to another era. Interesting thing to do when visiting Dalat

Unexpected attraction spot in DaLat. The entrance fees for adult is 5,000d and scooter parking fee is 2,000d per bike. We came around 4pm on weekday, and surprisingly there were many visitors and school kids flocking around and taking pictures. And there are many photo spots of old trains and cabooses. We were bit lucky to see an incoming train into the track, but I wish I knew the schedule earlier to have a chance of riding it. There is several small kiosks selling DaLat souvenirs and knickknacks, small cafes and small cute garden. The station is closed around 5pm.

Nestled on a hill with stunning mountain views, Truc Lam Buddhist Monastery in Dalat offers a serene escape for those seeking tranquility and spiritual enlightenment. Surrounded by picturesque gardens and located near Tuyen Lam Lake, the monastery provides a peaceful setting for meditation and self-reflection. Visitors can also take a scenic cable car ride from Robin Hill to the monastery, enjoying panoramic views of lush valleys and pine-covered hills along the way.
This is one amazing and out of the world experience. It’s a must visit if you’re in dalat. You’ll experience real bliss and peace. The shrine as well as the flower gardens are magnificent and peaceful. The occasional chimes in the background feels really good A good place to sit and forget the busy life . The shrine has a beautiful life size of Buddha. A very picturesque place

Nice place. The monastery is located on Truc Lam Yen Tu Street, on the top of Phuong Hoang Mountain. About 5 kilometers south of the center of Dalat, it is an ideal location for visitors to come and explore. Truc Lam Zen Monastery also has an outstanding view of Tuyen Lam Lake - the most beautiful lake in Dalat, as it stands next to the lake and is surrounded by hills and forests. Truc Lam Zen Monastery’s opening hours are from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM. It is also open for people who want to stay here and learn about Buddhism. You can ask the monks or nuns here to be allowed to stay. Initiated by the Vietnamese government in an effort to restore and promote the teachings of Zen Buddhism and Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen School, Truc Lam Zen Monastery was built from 1993 to 1994 by Zen Master Thich Thanh Tu. This pagoda has harmoniously combined different Zen schools in the world with Vietnamese culture into Vietnamese Zen.

The Bamboo Forest has a stunning view of Tuyen Lam Lake—widely regarded as the most beautiful lake in Dalat. Nestled beside the lake and surrounded by rolling hills and forests provides a peaceful retreat in nature. Admission to the temple is free. While the Dalat cable car is the most scenic way to get there, you can also drive, as there is a parking area nearby. For the best experience, consider renting a motorbike or hiring a car with a driver for the day, allowing you to explore the picturesque surroundings of the lake after visiting the monastery.

Truc Lam Zen Monastery in Da Lat is a peaceful spot that blends nature and spirituality beautifully. Perched on a hill overlooking Tuyen Lam Lake, the monastery has wide courtyards, colorful gardens, and traditional Vietnamese pagoda-style architecture that feels calm and inviting. Walking around, you’ll notice the quiet atmosphere—it’s less about sightseeing and more about slowing down, breathing, and taking in the scenery. The view of the lake and pine-covered hills makes the whole place even more relaxing. It’s easy to get here by cable car or road, and it’s a good stop whether you’re looking for a cultural experience or just a serene break from Da Lat’s busy center.

Dalat's 7000-meter flower park is a stunning attraction with more than 300 types of flowers in bloom. The garden is located next to Xuan Huong Lake and is an excellent place to visit on a hot day, as the flowers offer plenty of shade. The annual Flower Festival is also a popular time to visit, with hundreds of varieties of flowers on show.
This great garden is an excellent plan to spend the afternoon with family, kids, or just solo roaming around the gardens. Very relaxing place. It is well maintained, dozens of spots to take instagrammable Pictures, there are also clean restrooms and an alley full of souvenir shops and cafes. The ticket price for adults is 100k in 2024, and you just get yours at the main entrance, a very calm and relaxing place, and not crowded. Accessible parking and entrance to the park. I recommend this place yo have a relaxing afternoon day between your trips or just spend some time in nature

It’s a pleasant walk around (we spent 14 minutes) this park. The ‘Flower’ garden is taking it a notch above what it is. The walkways and ponds can be cleaned up and perhaps a few more gardeners employed to prune and get rid of dead leaves and branches. Also a wider variety of flowers would provide more interest.

While it can get busy with tourists on weekends, the tranquil energy of the place remains undisturbed. Nice temple and nice environment. We were there at the drums and bell ringing time with the teaching/reading on microphone so peaceful so it was supposed to be the best time for praying but the temple was closing time we were asked to leave. Staff at security was rude and released scary dog. Would had been a 5+ stars if not for the closing time and rude staff. Maybe rude is normal in Da Lat as it is apparent in many other places, but it should not a national norm especially at temples. Be nice and be friendly please especially relaxing and lovely place like Da Lat.

Nestled in the heart of Da Lat, Lam Vien Square is a vibrant hub that beautifully merges modern architecture with natural beauty. Overlooking the serene Xuan Huong Lake, this square features striking glass structures resembling wild sunflowers and artichoke buds, creating an eye-catching spectacle. Visitors can indulge in delightful culinary offerings from various food vendors or relax at charming cafes housed within its unique flower bud design.
Really great place for the sunrise and sunset time with the panoramic view with the lake and the mountains and Pagoda in the background, which is definitely unique to witness. In the surrounding area you can enjoy different activities such as cinema, gym exercise, various restaurants and also an opera house which seems to be famous. There were also many for what it seemed to me graduation student, maybe? Anyway, it's truly a place to go when the sun goes down around 5pm because the colors of the sky are indescribable and yet beautiful and majestic. Your girlfriend would be happy if that's what they would say. The locals I mean

This square definitely solidifies Da Lat's place as a UNESCO Creative City. It's super quirky, a really cool space to hang out, and great views across the lake to the mountains. It has a GO! grocery store as well as an underground mall attached. It's great for people watching and socializing evenings and weekends. The Highlands Coffee on site is in this wacky green building that looks like a flower bud! Super fun environment overall.
Zea P — Google review
Right across from Xuan Huong Lake, Lam Vien Square is a massive, open urban space that truly comes alive on weekends. The stepped walkways from the lakeside road lead up to the heart of the square, where two eye-catching structures steal the show: the green glass artichoke-shaped dome, which houses a Highlands Coffee shop, and the bright yellow flower bud-shaped dome, inspired by the wild sunflower (da quy) — one of Da Lat’s floral icons. The design is modern and symbolic, giving this square a unique architectural identity. Along the steps and throughout the plaza are plenty of places to sit and relax, making it perfect for people-watching or taking in the scenery. On weekends, the square becomes a vibrant gathering spot for locals. Families fly kites, students hang out, and street vendors set up stalls selling snacks and toys. Beneath the square is an entrance to a shopping center with a cinema, GO! Supermarket, cafés, and various specialty shops — ideal for grabbing a bite or cooling off inside. With the lake views, creative landscaping, and cultural vibe, Lam Vien Square is a great place to unwind, explore, and snap some memorable photos.

Khu Du Lịch Lang Biang, located just a short drive from the city center of Da Lat, offers stunning views of the surrounding agricultural region as it rises 2,167 meters above sea level. Visitors can start their hike at the parking lot or take a shuttle closer to the top. At the summit, you can enjoy panoramic views of Da Lat City and its lush landscapes.
Our Trip to LangBiang – A Fun and Scenic Experience My husband and I visited LangBiang during our trip to Da Lat, and it was a fun little adventure! Ticket Information To enter LangBiang, we first bought an entrance ticket for 50,000 VND per person. After that, we purchased an additional jeep ticket for 120,000 VND per person to ride to the top. Each jeep carries six people, so we had to look around and find other visitors to join us and make a full group of six. The Jeep Ride & Stunning View Once we got on the jeep, the ride was exciting and bumpy as we made our way up the steep mountain. The fresh air and surrounding greenery made the experience even better. When we reached the top, we were greeted with an incredible panoramic view of Da Lat—perfect for taking photos! Important Things to Remember Make sure to check your jeep number before getting off so you can find the right vehicle for the return trip. The last jeep leaves at 4:55 PM, so don’t be late! After enjoying the view and capturing some beautiful moments, we headed back down just in time. Visiting LangBiang was a simple yet fun experience, and we definitely recommend it if you love nature and scenic views!

We visited LangBiang Mountain on 30/8/2025@8am and it was such a memorable experience. The staff were all dressed in the same red uniform with the yellow star – just like the Vietnamese national flag – creating a very festive and patriotic mood, especially since it was so close to Vietnam National Day on 2/9/2025. 🇻🇳✨ The journey up the mountain was smooth with the green jeeps, and along the way we enjoyed the fresh, cool air and scenic views. Despite the misty and rainy weather, the atmosphere was refreshing and added a mysterious charm to the mountain. At the top, we had fun taking photos with unique decorations and flower gardens, especially the hydrangeas and succulents. Even though the view was covered with clouds, it felt like standing above the sky. 🌿🌸☁️ The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the visit more enjoyable. Though the views are legitimately great from Radar Peak (only reason this gets 2 stars), unfortunately, ultimately I just don't think this is worth the hassle. Came here to take the wild path up to the taller peak. It's been well documented that this is a free path, and I in fact met other travelers this same day who took it no problem. The security guard however hassled me to pay 50k. I didn't argue since I didn't want trouble, but scammy through and through. Having paid, they had me scan the ticket, and then immediately leave the paid area to take the wild path. Really disheartening and icky to start. After taking the trail to the taller peak (Lang Biang), having already paid, I decided to check out Radar Peak. The paid trail is unfortunately dirty (as in rubbish all over) and not super well maintained. If we're being charged entrance fees, should some of those funds go to conservation of the nature area ensuring it's clean? To top it off, there were campfires all over off the trail, embers still smouldering. Paired with sleeping bags and makeshift shelters. So random people were likely in the woods somewhere - fun little addition from a safety point of view. The view is ultimately inarguably good, and maybe the jeep version of this would be better. But as a hiker, I simply wouldn't recommend it, even if the payoff is nice.
Evgeny T — Google review
I hiked to the Lang Biang Peak from the parking place. I parked my scooter here for free and the entrance to the park is 50k dong. Roughly half way up the mountain you will pass a small checkpoint, where i was asked by an old man to show my ticket and write down my name and phone number. From there its around 1 hour more to the peak. The hike takes around 3.5 to 4 hours and is somewhat challenging, specially the last part is kinda steep and was slippery, as it had rained the day before. You can check the hike in all trails app for navigation. Make sure you find the right entry to the trail (outside the entrange gate on the right side there is a arch gate - see photo). Most of the hike goes through needle tree forest and is a little bit uninspiring. Later it goes through rainy type forest. The view on the peak is nice though. If you are looking for a small challenge or outdoor activity go for it. But if you have other hikes planned on your travel, you can also skip it.

Most beautiful and wild. Wild Horses, buffalo and something else following me. Be careful following the trail to the top. I got lost and chased by buffalo and ended up taking an extra 3 hours fighting my way up a steep incline 60 degrees to get there. Bruises and cuts et al. The park drivers wanted 720,000vnd to drive me back down. I walked it out in less than an hour.

This historic church stands as one of the oldest Catholic structures in Vietnam and serves as the cathedral for the local bishop.
We walked past this church on a Sunday afternoon while a ceremony was taking place. Many locals from the city had gathered to join the service. ⛪ The atmosphere was calm, respectful, and truly heartwarming. 🌿 It turned out to be a very beautiful and meaningful place, both spiritually and architecturally.

There are five masses every Sunday and I could not get inside since I believe they would only open for masses which is a bit of a pity since Cathedral are meant to open to public for prayers and so on. Its original name seems to be Saint Nicholas Cathedral. Long ago, there was a cemetery all around the edifice. It's likely to be replaced by many, many benches present outside the cathedral and other little buildings behind it. Would that be a way to give the deceased one a place to rest forever instead of the old cemetery mentioned above? I will gladly put the highest five stars when I would be able to go inside and get the beauty in front and above both my eyes. That's what the Bible says, always contemplate what will happen in front and above your eyes after all.

I visited Con Ga Church on Sunday afternoon, and it was quite crowded as a service was taking place. Despite the number of people, the atmosphere remained peaceful and solemn, creating a serene experience in the heart of the city. The church's Gothic architecture is impressive, with its tall bell tower and beautiful stained-glass windows. The spacious courtyard also offers a nice view of Da Lat. Since a service was in progress, I couldn't explore much inside, but I could still appreciate the sacred and historical ambiance of the place. For those who want a quieter visit, it might be better to come at a less busy time. Overall, it's a wonderful place to visit, combining architectural beauty with a tranquil atmosphere, even when crowded.

The church in Da Lat can be said to be striking with its color too. In addition to its striking color, this church is still active. If we were there yesterday, we could only visit the outer area. But in the outer area, if we want to sit and pray, we can. Because there is a garden area that we can sit in. One of the places we can visit when we go to Da Lat.

I visited on Easter Sunday and saw a big mass happening and it was really special to witness. I heard this is one of the oldest and most iconic cathedrals in Da Lat, and it definitely has a historical charm. The architecture is stunning, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it a lovely place to stop by, whether you’re religious or just love beautiful buildings. Worth a visit!

We happened to drive by and found that the view from the road in front of the church made this street even more charming 🛵✨

Looks wonderful and very well maintained by the authorities. Situated very near to city centre and can be viewed and visited by walk from market place easily. Construction was done more than 50 years back and has withstood the condition well.

The Da Lat Cable Car Station offers a colorful and panoramic journey over the city, pine forests, mountains, lakes, and farms. It provides access to various tourist attractions such as Truc Lam Pagoda, Tuyen Lake, and Datanla waterfalls. At RoBin Hill, visitors can enjoy stunning views of Da Lat city and the pine forested valley before descending 300 meters on a cable car to visit Tuyen Lam Lake.
It’s well worth doing. Took a grab bike for 20,000 each way. Cable car 150000 return. Rides about 2km. Wonderful temple at the top and beautiful gardens. It’s worth a morning. Not bad restaurants up there

Worth a visit if you're in Da Lat. The ride lasts about 10-12 mins each way and is 150k return. There's a cafe at the top with nice coffee. You can wander around the Zen monastery. I spent about 1 hr 45 min total on my visit.

Had an amazing experience here! It’s like a small shopping area, and there’s even a vegetable buffet where you can enjoy as many veggies as you want for a very cheap price. The views are fantastic, offering a panoramic look over the town of Da Lat. The place closes after 5 PM, but it’s conveniently located near the city center, right at the top of Robin Hill.

Fantastic morning/afternoon spent here. The facilities are excellent and the cafes are great value. Be advised though,if you do want to enter the monastery then be properly dressed as no shorts or tank tops for men and women are allowed.

Stunning views from cable car approx 300,000 VND return for 2 adults and well worth it. The monetary at the top has the most beautiful gardens. Cafe/food both sides of the tram offered nice food and drinks and prices were not inflated even though it's a tourist spot. We went by grab nice inexpensive journey

May 2025 Cable car at Dalat area. For one way is 120,000 vnd, and for go and return ticket is 150,000 vnd per person. The view was nice and very high area can be seen. There is a cafe on next stop too for rest.

The view during the ride up and down is really beautiful, everything looks clean and well-maintained. However, once you reach the top, there isn’t much to see besides the scenery, so we only stayed for a short while. We bought our round-trip tickets on Klook for a total of IDR 89,454/person.

Prenn Waterfall, located in the town of Ban Nam, Lam Ha ward, 25km from Dalat city to the southwest, is a beautiful natural attraction. The waterfall is over 30m high and about 15m wide with deep caves behind it. It offers an authentic charm and beauty that attracts tourists who want to explore Da Lat's natural form.
Water looked kind of murky but it was cool overall. You have to walk a little to the waterfall. the route isn't fully paved so be aware your shoes might get wet getting there.
Chris Z — Google review
Prenn Waterfall is still there but it has been included as a small part of Prenn Tea Resort. Not that interesting to look at as you can't do much there. Just to alert those who are going here - There are no more animals here, which is a good thing. However, you are better off going to another nearby waterfall called Datanla f u want to see one, and play some thrill rides as well.
Fir S — Google review
The waterfall is nice butnot that impressive and is part of a pricey resort... that was completly empty! Very overpriced just to see the waterfall. You can also climb 636 steps+ to get to a small temple that seems to have been built by the Tea Resort... does not look or feel genuine. The resort looks nice and is in a nice setting by the forest and the mountain. Lots of grandiose settings and a large pool. Many activities possible for people staying at the resort.
Josée C — Google review
Da Lat is a great city with lots of tourist things to see and do. However the waterfalls experience are sadly not worth the price anymore. We went by this place with the sim of visiting, we looked at the overly complicated pricing menu and just gave up. The waterfalls should be changed back to their original natural beauty, not now be part of a kids adventure tourist theme park. Definitely not worth the money which is why we did not go in 😢
Edward T — Google review
Do not enter! As with many other waterfalls around Dalat, this is a kind of amusement park. Only combi tickets are sold for VND 220,000, visiting only the waterfall (did cost VND 50,000) is no longer possible. It's a shame!
Erik — Google review
Absolutely atrocious prices 440,000 for entrance ticket to their park and the waterfall. Don't bother. Arrived at 11am and there were only two cars and no motorbikes parked up... Guess everyone hates it too! Haha Go to Datanla waterfall instead, wayyyy better and cheaper and looks more impressive too.
R. T — Google review
Aside from its far distance from the city, waterfall is not that impressive. In addition, service is terrible and staff are not friendly and cannot speak good English. You should not waste your time coming here when visiting Dalat.

Entrance fee is high, and not worth it just to see the waterfall (which has been ruined by tacky statues). If you're interested in going to the little water park they have there, maybe it's worth it? But overall I was unimpressed.

Nestled in the French Quarter of the hill town, Da Lat Railway Station is a charming structure with colorful glass windows and three high-pointed roofs. Constructed between 1935 and 1938, it boasts a Japanese steam train that travels along 16 km of cog railway tracks. Visitors can embark on a short 7 km journey to Trai Mat Village, enjoying picturesque countryside views en route.
I arrived very early and ended up being the first customer of the day, no crowds, no lines, just peaceful surroundings. The weather was sunny, and the clear sky made the station look even more picturesque. While there wasn’t much to explore, the visit still felt exciting thanks to the charm of this vintage railway station. That said, it’s the kind of place I’d probably visit just once, mainly for the photo opportunity.
Wuezellyn J — Google review
It's a train station that has historical significance in Vietnam, but it doesn't approach us in a special sense. It's just a place to sit in a shade chair for a while and avoid the heat. A charming Vietnamese housewife modeled me beautifully, but I can't find an Instagram account, so I just share it here. If it's you, please DM me.

Da Lat Train Station remains as charming as ever, preserving the beauty of the past. I booked a night round-trip train ride, and the scenery along the way was truly captivating. Adding to the atmosphere, there was live violin music performed in the carriage, which made the journey even more memorable. Overall, it was a delightful and worthwhile experience!
Hiếu H — Google review
An interesting place to see how first advancements into a modern age were made, and how they were forsaken and wasted. The tourist train ride takes you through the densely build sheds and intense farming constructs, which are littered with waste. There’s loud honking and very loud musical instruments being played ineptly throughout the train ride, bring NC earplugs if you’re sensitive. A bit overpriced.
Alfons G — Google review
The overall experience is ok but the ticket seller is not in advising tourist, we bought tickets for 2pm train and he advised us to return by 3.10pm but the journey took 30 mins and we dun have time to spend at linh phouc temple, we need to rush to catch the train and unable to finish touring the temple. He shall advise us to take the later return train. Overall good scenic and we took some photos at the station.

Beautiful old station with charming French architecture and vintage trains. Great for photos and a quick stroll. There's a small entrance fee, but it's worth it for the unique vibe and history.
Bridget — Google review
Pleasant railway station and bit of history left over from the French. The rail journey itself is slow meandering in the best way, while there is live music on board to set the atmosphere.
David M — Google review
Price is 10 time higher than 2024. Now VND 50,000 pax. It is not valuable. Just old style train station. Dont understand why increases 50k from 5k? I don't recommend to visit. Just waste time and money even though it is small.

Crazy House, also known as Hang Nga Guesthouse, is a must-see attraction in Da Lat. Designed by Vietnamese architect Dang Viet Nga, this offbeat guest house resembles a surreal fairy tale with its unique architecture reminiscent of a giant tree. The design draws inspiration from nature and has been compared to the styles of Antoni Gaudi and Salvador Dali. Visitors can spend about an hour exploring the complex, admiring the winding bridges and sculpted elements throughout.
Amazing place! This not only a place to visit as a museum, but an amazing possibility to stay here as in a hotel! And believe me, it's 100% worth it! Possibility to walk around the house when there is nobody there, make all the wonderful fotos on the sunset or on the sunrise - it's so unique and so impressive! Quality of the rooms, need sheets, cleanliness, stuff attitude - all is perfect. And it's definately an incredible example of art masterpiece! Thank you so much for my second visit!
Boris P — Google review
Crazy House (Hang Nga Villa) in Da Lat is unlike anything I’ve ever seen — it feels more like stepping into a dream than visiting a regular building. The architecture is wild, full of twisting stairways, tree-like structures, hidden corners, and rooms that look straight out of a fantasy movie. Every turn reveals something unexpected, so it’s both playful and a little surreal. Walking around feels like being inside a giant piece of art, and it’s definitely a spot that makes for unique photos. Some paths are quite narrow and steep, so you’ll want to wear comfortable shoes. Overall, Crazy House is less about luxury and more about the creativity and imagination behind it. If you’re in Da Lat and want a fun, quirky experience, this place should be on your list.

Visited as guest for sightseeing. Amazing design with go-wild creativity. Feels like a playground. Entrance fee is 80k per adult. Recommended for one-two hours visit. Especially on a gloomy day. Btw though some reviews mentioned but I couldn't find its tickets on klook.

Stayed here for a couple of nights in the Bear Room. I was expecting this to be a rather unique stay but it far exceeded my expectations. It’s a very charming place to spend a few nights. The staff are very warm and welcoming, the room was very comfortable and the bear wasn’t even creepy to stare the room with at night - he was very cute around the clock! I knew to expect visitors passing by during the day and trying to get into the room and it didn’t bother us at all, it was part of the experience.
Gavin C — Google review
I came here just to look at the architecture, the name says it all. Great views of surrounding area. Quirky style everywhere you look. Kids will want to stay all day. Bus loads of tour groups walk through on the weekend making it a little cramped and noisy.
Simes T — Google review
I visited not as a guest, but out of curiosity about this very impressive building and its structures. It turned out to be truly admirable — the creativity that must have gone into making it is mind-blowing. Although I thought it was great, it’s a shame that you can’t pay for tickets using a credit card or Apple Pay. It seems quite common here that only cash is accepted, which isn’t ideal for convenience.
Carl S — Google review
Fun place to explore. Safety could be improved quite a bit. There are some dicey staircases. Ticket price of 80,000 VND is reasonable, but the place gets a bit crowded even during the off-season.

🌟 5-star Review for Crazy House (Hằng Nga Guesthouse) – Đà Lạt 🌟 Written by a former chef, artist, and storyteller who believes architecture can be a living dream. I thought I knew what to expect. I had done the research, written a speech about it, looked through every photo I could find… But stepping into the Crazy House in real life was something else entirely. It wasn't just architecture — it was emotion cast in concrete. Every curve, every stairway, every wild turn of vines and color and unexpected detail felt like a love letter to imagination. This wasn’t built to follow rules. It was built to awaken the child within us who still believes in magic. I felt like I was walking through someone’s dream. Or maybe, my own. The deeper I went, the more I saw — a spiderweb ceiling here, a surreal treehouse corridor there, and hidden messages tucked into corners if you pause long enough to feel them. It reminded me that not everything beautiful has to be symmetrical… some of the most lasting beauty is wild. Unfiltered. Free. And after having just written about this place for a speech, standing here felt like my words came alive. The paper didn’t do it justice. You have to be here to understand. To the visionaries behind this — You created something unforgettable. Thank you for keeping wonder alive in this world. Thank you for reminding us that homes don’t have to be square boxes. That art doesn’t need permission. That passion has a place. This wasn’t just a tourist visit. It was an initiation. And I’ll carry it with me long after Đà Lạt. With wonder and love, Lah

Datanla Waterfall, located in Dalat, Vietnam, is a bustling and popular spot known for its series of small waterfalls and various activities. It offers a range of attractions such as a roller coaster, cable car, hiking trails, abseiling, rafting, and free jumping. The entrance area is touristy and developed with a packed car park, queues at the ticket office, and a busy restaurant. The waterfall has multiple levels with different activities available at each level.
This was my second time in Da Lat but my first visit to Datanla, and I truly enjoyed it! The scenery is relaxing, and the sound and view of the waterfalls were amazing. I also tried the alpine coaster, which was so much fun and made the experience even more memorable. There were quite a lot of tourists during my visit, but it was still very enjoyable overall. I recommend booking your tickets online in advance—it makes entry hassle-free and very convenient.

Nice place not too far from the city center for a bit of trekking—lol. I visited Datanla Waterfall, and at the time, they were offering a Zipline + Coaster combo for 1 million VND per person. Not exactly cheap, but a fun experience overall. The zipline route is 1.5 km in total. The first stretch is 1 km, then you walk about 500 meters to the second zipline, which takes you to Waterfall 3. The coaster starts and ends at Waterfall 3 or Parking area. If you want to visit Waterfalls 1 and 2, you’ll need to hike uphill a bit. They’re not super close, but not too far either. After exploring, you can walk back to the Coaster at Waterfall 3. With the combo, you can use coaster to go up (parking area), then if you still want to use the coaster to go down, can exchange the, kind of, receipt to another coaster ticket for free (round trip). By the way, you can ride the coaster alone, which is a nice option if you prefer a solo experience. Be aware there’s another zipline and coaster option with a shorter distance which is cheaper and you may access from the main entrance. Staff are friendly. NOTE: if you want to actually see the waterfalls in their full beauty, don’t go during dry season - you will need a bit of rain for the best views (“water-fall”).

What an adventure we had at Datanla Falls, its not only about the natural beauty but also the thrill of getting there. If you’re taking the Alpine Coaster, I recommend opting for the long track it’s worth it. You pass through beautiful forested slopes and end up right at one of the most scenic waterfalls in Da Lat. We had a blast on it and was so much fun. The views along the way are fantastic and the coaster adds a layer of excitement to the experience. There are two main falls to see the second one (reachable via a shorter coaster ride or walk) features a huge King Kong statue which makes for a fun and unexpected photo stop. From there, you’ll find a mix of scenic bridges, wooden walkways, and tropical gardens that offer fantastic photo angles. The first falls are more natural and powerful, with rock platforms and small viewing terraces perfect for photos or a short rest. There’s a clear path with steps surrounded by lush greenery, making the walk very enjoyable. Both sites are clean, accessible, and well maintained. You can easily spend a few hours here if you include both falls and the coaster ride. A great mix of nature and fun definitely worth adding to your Da Lat trip. To get to the waterfall and back you need to ride the alpine coaster which cost 250k Dong per person. It is suitable and safe even for elderly. The waterfall is well maintained and have bathroom there. (They also have zipline at the waterfall)

My son and I purchased an adventurous package deal for 1 million and 50K VND/person (= to 40 USD), which included 1500 meters of alpine zip lining, a twisty roller coaster ride, and an admission to the upper and lower of the Datanla Water Falls. It was worthwhile and fun.
Marcus L — Google review
Datanla is one of those places that pretends to be about “nature” but actually runs on the good old pay-to-play model. You want to see the waterfall? Too bad, there’s no hiking in like a normal person. You either strap yourself to a zip line or hop on the gravity-powered toboggan. Nature with microtransactions. We chose the toboggan, 250k dongs per person. Picture a rollercoaster where you’re the operator, except you only control the brake. That’s it. Go fast, go slow, pray the guy in front doesn’t slam on his brakes because there are signs everywhere screaming “No stopping, no phones, no filming.” For once, nobody acted like a jerk, so the ride was smooth and genuinely fun. The zip line? Looks like the discount version of every travel influencer’s drone footage. You’ll scream, you’ll dangle, and you’ll pay for it. The third option, the high rope course, doesn’t even lead to the waterfall. That’s just the bonus level where you wobble on ropes in a wedgie harness designed to make you question your life choices. And the big reward at the end—the waterfall? Totally okay. It’s water falling. Nothing epic, nothing terrible. Just wet gravity. Verdict: if you’ve ever dreamed of being your own rollercoaster driver, take the toboggan. Otherwise, skip the whole thing and spend your dongs on cold beer and street food that doesn’t require a seat belt.

Datanla Waterfall is one of Da Lat’s popular attractions, and it offers more than just a scenic waterfall. The highlight here is the alpine coaster that takes you down through the forest to reach the falls—fun, a little thrilling, and suitable for families. Once at the waterfall, the view is quite beautiful, with the sound of rushing water echoing through the greenery. The area is developed for tourism, so you’ll also find cable cars, adventure games, and walking trails if you want to spend more time. It can get busy, especially on weekends, but the organization is decent, so you won’t feel too overwhelmed. Overall, it’s a mix of natural beauty and outdoor activities—ideal if you want both sightseeing and a bit of adventure in Da Lat.

Linh Sơn Pagoda is a serene Buddhist temple located on a hilltop surrounded by picturesque scenery and pine trees. Unlike the bustling Linh Phuoc Pagoda, this temple offers a tranquil atmosphere, making it perfect for a peaceful stroll through its immaculate gardens. Constructed between 1936 and 1940 with contributions from Buddhists worldwide, the pagoda features typical East Asian architecture and houses a 1250 kg bronze statue of Buddha Shakyamuni.
Peaceful, majestic, mystic, powerful, outstanding, and highly recommended whenever you have hour of free time just to wander around Linh Son Pagoda. I encountered Hun, one of the professional gardeners of the Pagoda with whom we could have a conversation about the Pagoda and its feelings towards his dedication and hard work towards the house of Buddha. You may also cross path with him, and you'll definitely know that it's him. Wearing a traditional hat and rubber gloves, humble and yet the largest smile i got to see from a vietnamese person. Born on the 4th of June 1953, he showed me the way to the other side of the Pagoda where some pictures and videos had been taken. Hope you will go there and get the experience that is unique, profound, and unforgettable.

Chua Linh Son is a rather nice pagoda within the DaLat main city region and is most frequently visited by tourists. Although it is nice and interesting, with a lovely multi-storey stupa located in the rear garden, there are better (and more visually splendid) pagodas located within the city's region (eg. Thiền viện Vạn Hạnh & Chua Linh Quang) Please be polite when visiting ANY Buddhist pagodas and dress appropriately (basically cover knees and shoulders of both males and females)....all too often I see foreign tourists wearing shorts and/or tanktops (males) and short skirts/shorts and/or tops that reveal the shoulders (women).

A peaceful and sacred temple in the heart of Da Lat I had the chance to visit Linh Son Pagoda early one chilly morning. The atmosphere was calm and quiet — a perfect place to reflect, offer prayers, and practice mindfulness. The architecture is simple yet beautiful, showing the elegance of Northern Vietnamese Buddhist tradition. There was a morning chanting session when I arrived. Everyone was sitting respectfully and mindfully, creating a very serene and spiritual energy. I felt truly grounded and peaceful just by being there. The monks are kind, and local devotees are welcoming and helpful. This is more than just a temple — it’s a place to come back to yourself. 👉 Highly recommended for anyone seeking spiritual peace and a deeper connection while in Da Lat.

Linh Ẩn Pagoda, also known as Linh An Tu, is a popular destination for travelers, especially those from the West who are drawn to its unique Eastern cultural charm. Situated about 30 km from Dalat, this pagoda is one of the five spiritual Buddhist temples in the area and is renowned for its distinctive architecture. Located near the majestic Elephant Falls, it offers a serene setting nestled amidst vast pine forests.
A peaceful temple complex surrounded by nature, with a giant white Buddha statue that’s hard to miss. What makes it special is that you can actually go inside the statue and walk through several floors filled with Buddhist scenes. The area is free to enter and not too crowded, which makes it a great stop near Elephant Waterfalls. You only need about 30–45 minutes to explore, unless you want to sit and relax. A calm, spiritual spot that feels more authentic than many other touristy temples.
Sergio M — Google review
Located just outside Da Lat, Linh An Pagoda is home to one of the tallest Buddha statues in Vietnam — a towering figure of the Bodhisattva of Compassion, standing at over 60 meters high. The sheer size and presence of the statue are truly awe-inspiring, especially as it looks out over the surrounding lush hills and valleys. Up close, we noticed that the statue is showing signs of weathering, with noticeable patches of peeling paint and many fragments scattered across the base. It’s a little unfortunate, but it doesn’t take away from the statue’s majesty or the peaceful atmosphere around it. Hopefully, restoration work will be carried out soon.m ( it needs some ) From the viewing platform beneath the statue, you can enjoy stunning panoramic views — including a clear line of sight to Thác Voi (Elephant Falls), which lies nearby and makes for a perfect add-on to your visit. In fact, the contrast between the roaring waterfall below and the serene figure above adds a dramatic spiritual element to the experience. There’s a small temple at the base, and the grounds are peaceful with very few tourists. Worth stopping by if you’re exploring the outskirts of Da Lat or headed toward the falls.

Linh An Pagoda was one of our many must-go tourist attractions. While we were stranded on our first day in Da Lat due to the early arrival of the sleeper bus from Ho Chi Minh City, we were lucky Linh An Pagoda opens at 6.:30am. We had a great time visiting the Pagoda! 🏯 The parking was free, which was a nice bonus. 🚗 We didn’t have to walk far to explore all the interesting sights, and the highlight was definitely one of the largest statues I’ve ever seen—truly impressive! 🗿✨ Although the nearby waterfall was closed during our visit, we could still walk down the stairs and get pretty close to take some great pictures. 📸 🌊 The entire place had a lovely atmosphere, and we would definitely recommend visiting again. 👍 The only minor downside was that some of the decorations, like the deer figures, felt a bit out of place with the overall style. 🦌🎨 However, that didn’t take away from the experience, and it’s absolutely worth a visit!

Hoa Son Dien Trang Ecotourism Destination is nestled in a primeval forest enveloped in mist, home to ancient trees, gibbons, monkeys, and rare birds. The meticulously tended flower gardens feature a stunning cherry blossom garden with over 4,000 Japanese trees and a rose garden showcasing unique flowers from across Vietnam. Bungalows are tucked away amidst the jungle while the clear blue waters and small waterfalls create picturesque landscapes for photography.
Hoa Son Dien Trang is a peaceful retreat located about 20 kilometers from Da Lat’s city center, nestled in the picturesque hills of Lam Dong Province. Known for its serene atmosphere and scenic beauty, this cultural and spiritual complex offers a perfect escape into nature. The site features a variety of attractions, including a beautiful flower garden, lotus ponds, and traditional wooden structures, which create a tranquil environment for visitors. In addition to its natural beauty, Hoa Son Dien Trang also provides several services for tourists, such as guided tours to learn about the local culture and the site's history. Visitors can also participate in activities like meditation, tea ceremonies, and photography. The area is well-maintained, with cafés serving local specialties, as well as small souvenir shops. With its blend of nature, spirituality, and cultural heritage, Hoa Son Dien Trang is an ideal destination for those seeking peace and relaxation in Da Lat.

It is abandoned. It looks like it closed, but it is opened for free. There is ko maintenance. But it is very cool
Nelly Y — Google review
Hoa Son Dien Trang. The name alone sounds like you’re about to enter a zen garden, maybe meet a monk, maybe discover enlightenment. Instead, you get a crash course in neglect with a side of horror vibes. At the top, there are spots that would make Instagrammers cry tears of joy—if someone maintained them. Viewpoints, bridges, angles straight out of a travel magazine. But instead of chic and polished, it’s more “rustic tetanus.” Still gorgeous if you squint, but also a reminder that nobody’s cared in a long while. Further down, things slip into neglecteeed (say it with your worst French accent for maximum effect). Patchy grass, sad benches, and that unmistakable aura of “abandoned DIY project.” And then you reach the bottom. That’s where the park fully embraces its inner slasher movie. An abandoned pub sits there, empty and dusty—but the pool table still works, because the apocalypse always leaves one game running. Surrounding it, a cluster of forgotten lodges, lined up like discount horror-movie sets. Perfect if you’ve ever dreamed of starring in “Tourist Gets Axed, Part II.” Entry fee? 50k dong per person. If you love abandoned places, you’ll be thrilled. If you don’t, you basically paid for the privilege of starring in your own B-grade horror flick. Stars? Two out of five. One for the indestructible pool table, and one because the top could’ve been Instagram gold if anyone had cared.

DO NOT GO HERE. The animals are treated terribly. Two dogs were locked up in windowless dog houses that were covered with feces and urine, it smelled horrible and the dogs were howling (pictures 1,2,5). Other dogs were similarly penned into small enclosures and were suffering. When I saw the dog in the first picture it was so excited as if it hadn’t played with anyone in so long. The owners of this place should be ashamed for profiting off the suffering of these animals. The owners should improve the homes for their animals and allow them space to live and play. Despicable.

This place was under renovation when we went. They were planting many flowers by the wayside. The place is big but it has a lot of spots for picture taking. It would look much better if they had made them as natural as possible.

If you are looking for somewhere to go sightseeing. Go there. The atmosphare at there is fresh and the landscapes are gorgeous. There are lots of check in positions and so many interesting things. However you should awared that when you wanna take some photos you have to line up because of crowd. The visit day of me had a lot of visiter so i waited in some long line then.

Bao Dai Palace 1, also known as Dinh I, is a grand European-style residence nestled in a pine forest in Dalat. This villa was once the home of Vietnam's last emperor and features traditional Hue court interior design. The palace is part of a trio of villas built by King Bao Dai for both work and leisure. Visitors can explore the lavish residence and working spaces of ancient kings from the Nguyen Dynasty while admiring the French colonial architecture that characterizes Dalat City.
Nice and beautiful palace. I love the way this to be organised and really clean inside. Be proud that VN has a city like Dalat, Vung Tau, Danang, Hue etc. where still reserve all belonging to the King, the last dynasty that was mixed both VN and western Europe style…

Interesting museum with informations available on English. It's relatively small manor but have excellent photo spots all over general area. Some areas (e.g. helicopter, smaller villas) need extra fee for entrance and photo.
Chantique T — Google review
Cool place to check out. The flowers and scenery was very beautiful and the helicopter pad in the back was cool. Not a lot to do for kids and the flowers were fake. The staff was friendly and there was plenty of parking. They also had an option to get your picture on a horse or go for a ride. Not a bad place to check out, but also not on the top of my list of the best places to go to in Dalat, Vietnam.

Learned an important piece of Da Lat's history. An asset that is very well-kept, and the yard looked perfect. For tourists with young children like my family, having the stall selling slushies really helped to keep them happy 😊. i think this Palace is a must-visit for any tourist here.
Helmi N — Google review
A nice place to visit. I paid 90,000 vnd for 1 person, and got free flower tea. You can ride a horse if you want, but enjoying the beautiful surroundings with flowers is enough for me.
Fitria R — Google review
Highly recommend! Nice historical place to visit. We bought the ticket of 150k for the entrance fee and activities. A ticket for the entrance only with no activities is 50k (if I remember correctly). 6 Activities included in the ticket are one-way tram ride, taking picture with horses, games (mini-golf), photos with wax statues, 1 soda at the cafeteria, and pictures in king/queen clothes. One-way tram ride is too short. But all other activities are really fun.

- Entrance fee: USD 6+ (If I remembered correctly) - Love the surrounding landscape, gardens, nature. Plenty of place to snap photos. - The palace itself is not that impressive. Unless you're into the story and history behind it other than that it's quite mundane. The inside of the palace is also quite small. It took about 10 mins to completely walk around every room and snap a quick photo of each.

Pretty amazing historic building to sustain to this date. Learning more about my roots and of course, our 13th and final emperor of the Nguyen dynasty. Làng hoa Vạn Thành is a popular destination known for its diverse array of flowers such as sunflowers, daisies, roses, and more. Visitors can capture stunning photos amidst the vibrant blooms. The entrance features a spacious parking area and ticket counter offering adult tickets at 100k. The sightseeing area is expansive and well-shaded, providing a comfortable environment for exploration. Additionally, there's a souvenir shop within the premises.
For an entrance fee of 100000vnd, the place is alright for people who like to marvel at colourful flowers and take insta-worty pictures with flowery background 🤣 My family and I went during a weekday and there were no people around, so it was nice having the place to ourselves.

Place for healing too. Lots of great flower everywhere. Not crowded. Enjoy the time while taking pictures. You can buy their products too.
Ashiqin R — Google review
Entrance ticket: 100k Dong per person, very expensive. Be careful of when you want to visit. Some of the times, no flowers, and some of the times, packed with people, so difficult to take nice photos. Once you seen a flower garden, you seen it all. This place is just full of flowers, no artificial statues or windmills or artifacts. It gets boring after 10 minutes as you know they got nothing else to show, so they start showing you tomatoes and vegetables.
Panna M — Google review
Veey beautiful place ever I seen in my life, large beautiful garden of flowers and many others background for some good pictures Free parking facilities, good nearby local shops for winterwear and some foods Entry fee 120000 Vnd, ~400 Rs. In INR

A place with lots and lots of flowers but they are all grown in pots I guess it makes it easier to change it when it dies. A local recommended this place because it has lots of different flowers/plants but I thought it was a bit boring. Maybe it’s because I deal with flowers for my job. Than Tho Lake, also known as the Lake of Sighs or Lake of Sorrow, is a serene freshwater lake located in Dalat city. The name "Lake of Sighs" originates from an 18th-century love story and the tranquil surroundings that evoke a sense of melancholy. Surrounded by tree-shaded gardens, this picturesque lake has inspired numerous poems and songs due to its fog-wreathed beauty.

The pictures online make it look this super serene, mystical place. Tranquil water reflecting the pine trees, you know, the whole deal. Reality? Well, it's definitely a lake, and there are pine trees around, but the whole area feels a little neglected. There's a kind of melancholic vibe, but not necessarily in a good way. It's more like...abandoned picnic spot? Don't get me wrong, it has a certain charm. The water is still and quiet, and it's interesting to hear the legends about why it's called the Lake of Sighs. But if you're looking for a stunning natural beauty spot, there are probably better options around Da Lat. Unless, of course, you're specifically drawn to that slightly sad, forgotten atmosphere. Then, Than Tho Lake might be your cup of tea.

Valley of Love in Dalat is a unique and popular tourist attraction, offering a massive park for visitors to explore. It's an ideal spot for a leisurely excursion, perfect for stretching your legs on a sunny morning in Dalat.

Cam Ly Waterfall, located about 2km west of Da Lat city center, is a serene oasis formed by the convergence of two streams. Despite its modest height of around 10 meters, the waterfall's gentle flow and surrounding natural beauty make it a captivating sight. Throughout the year, visitors can enjoy the bubbling white foam of the flowing water and admire the abundance of beautiful flowers in the area. The panorama view includes not only the waterfall but also a perspective of the surrounding large pine forest.
We visited Cam Ly Waterfall today, and at first, we almost gave up because the main entrance was closed. 🚫 Luckily, we were shown another way in. ➡️ The guy at the entrance warned us that the waterfall is smelly, and he was right—the water does have an unpleasant odor since it flows through the entire city. 🚰👃 However, that doesn’t take away from the fact that the scenery is truly beautiful. 🌿🌊 We managed to take some really nice pictures from different angles. 📸✨ It’s a shame that the area is a bit dirty and smelly, but despite that, it still has a lot of potential. With better maintenance, this place could be amazing. 💡 I’m giving it 4 stars, even though it feels more like a 3, because I believe it deserves it and has room to improve. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Parking was free 🚗, and the entrance fee was very affordable at only 40,000 VND. 💰 We ended up spending quite a lot of time enjoying the views and capturing the beauty. Definitely worth a visit!
Jan P — Google review
What potentially could have been a great place for a 1-2 hours walk and wonder turned as a filthy river that apparently gets all the sewer from around, so a lot of rubbish, empty bottles and tons of nasty white foam. The gardens around seem to be handled properly when it comes to gardening and shaping of bushes and trees but you can also see lots of trash all over the place. We came on a Saturday afraid it would be packed but were the only visitors (we can only assume others were aware of the how bad it is...). Left after 10 mins and 120k spent for nothing...(tickets are 40k adult and 20k kids). Important to mention that the Google Maps location leads to the old gate so had to walk down 50 meters to the new gate.
Nahum M — Google review
It was the worst waterfall I have ever been to. It's super stinky, there is trash everywhere and the people who supposedly "clean" the place just blow the trash further down the river. The water is disgusting, it seems more like a sewage than anything else. I can't believe they charge an entrance fee for this. Do not go there.
Alix W — Google review
The place was nice to see. Definitely needs some improvement but overall still was nice. There was a smell and trash in the water but hopefully they can get it cleared up.

It’s very sad to see the pollution here. The facilities were likely once quite beautiful, now they are very run down. You will see a poor old horse tied up closely to a rail next to the smelly polluted waters and your heart will break. In the photos they don’t look so bad but you will see trash in the waters and the smell is instant. It’s a short scooter ride from town but truly not worth it. From the moment we walked in our hearts sank at the conditions.

Not sure if these foams are formed naturally or is an indicator for water pollution. Ticket costs 40,000 VND per person and have nothing to see inside this attraction. Very smelly as it could be the downstream of the river and nearby neighborhoods. Not recommended for tourists

Lumiere Da Lat - Light Garden is a popular attraction in Dalat, offering a unique experience with various light exhibits. Visitors can enjoy the opportunity to take stunning photos in the picturesque setting. The venue provides an array of photo opportunities with different light displays, making it ideal for photography enthusiasts. Additionally, visitors have the option to rent traditional Japanese costumes for memorable photo sessions. While it may get crowded at times, visiting during quieter periods allows for a more enjoyable and relaxed experience.
Short experience but I can see how it’s worth the visit if you’re two people. Lots of chances to take photos in nice sceneries, the staff are super friendly and not annoying. Thanks
Onoh U — Google review
Staff are friendly and helped to take really nice photos, lovely hideout during wet weather. However, for people who don’t enjoy photo taking, this might just be rooms/ space after space to take photos only and it can be quite boring. Tickets bought on klook was slightly cheaper then, but took awhile to process if you’re buying on the spot. There were not many people on public holiday too, so it was quite nice.
Mabbel E — Google review
This is something good to do when it is raining but will only take about 30 minutes to walk through. It is a bit expensive for what it is, the lanterns, shadow room and light room are the best rooms for photos etc but the staff are very helpful and offer to take them for you.
Mollie R — Google review
Not worth visiting just based on Google Maps reviews. Out of all my experiences in Da Lat, this was probably the most disappointing stop. - The space is large and divided into different rooms, but everything felt quite basic. The content was lacking, the lighting was poor, and nothing stood out visually. I went at night, but the lighting was so dim and didn’t match the promotional videos or photos I’d seen. You can walk through the whole place in about 10 minutes and that’s really all there is. - The entrance fee is 150,000 VND per person, which feels expensive for such a short and unimpressive experience. You’d be better off spending your time at one of Da Lat’s many other attractions : farms, gardens, or themed parks that offer much more for the same or even lower price. That said, the staff were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which was the one positive takeaway.

Vườn Ánh Sáng, or the Light Garden, is located in Da Lat, Vietnam, and is a captivating attraction for those seeking a unique and visually stunning experience. Situated in the heart of the city, it is easily accessible and offers a magical ambiance, especially during the evening when the garden lights up with vibrant colors. The garden features an impressive collection of illuminated sculptures, flowers, and creative installations that make it a popular spot for photography and sightseeing. In addition to the stunning light displays, the garden offers various services, including a café where visitors can relax and enjoy local snacks and drinks. There are also guided tours available for those who want to learn more about the artistic and cultural significance of the installations. With its enchanting atmosphere and relaxing environment, Vườn Ánh Sáng is an ideal place for both families and couples to enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by beauty and creativity.

Lumiere Da Lat Light Garden is an imaginative and interactive experience that blends art, light, and creativity into one colorful indoor adventure. We visited on a rainy day and it turned out to be the perfect escape, you could easily spend a couple of hours exploring each themed room. The journey begins in a vibrant tunnel-like structure that resembles the inside of a living organism, illuminated with constantly shifting light projections. It felt otherworldly and made for some amazing photo opportunities. As we moved through the space, we encountered an infinity room that plays with mirrors and reflections, visually stunning and slightly mind-bending. There’s also a Japanese-themed area with parasols where you can pose in traditional attire, and several glowing neon wall scenes, including a Da Lat themed Valentine’s section and a room of floating lanterns reminiscent of Hoi An. One of the standout areas was a futuristic projection space with 3D mapping visuals, blooming flowers, and swirling galaxies on walls and columns. Each scene is uniquely crafted for visual play, interaction, and photography. Whether you’re a couple, family, or solo traveler, it’s a fun and modern take on art and imagination. Highly recommended for those wanting something a little different in Da Lat. While there were some lovely photo opportunities, my fav being the Japanese theme rooms and the string lights, it was rather a let down as were we done in 30mins. Hubby and I just took ticket only and let our teens do the VR option, which wasn't particularly amazing for them. We had travelled from puppy farm to here, and like I said we were in and out in less than 30 mins, fastest bit of cash we spent. Bit of a gimmick I think It was super quiet, hardly anybody around and when the driver dropped us off he thought the place was shut

This is great place! Must see! Recommendations: 1. Better to get ticket with costumes option: emotions and atmosphere definitely worth it. 2. By the costume changing room I recommend to check their photo album - there is great photo ideas in there. 3. If u getting costume better check their price menu, it has full set of accessories to the costumes for couple of extra dollars

Thien Phuc Duc Hill is a must-visit destination for those exploring the enchanting landscapes of Da Lat. Nestled about 10 kilometers from the city center and adjacent to the LangBiang tourist area, this hill offers breathtaking views, especially at sunrise when the mist blankets the valley below. The expansive space dotted with pine trees makes it an ideal spot for camping, photography, and simply soaking in nature's beauty.
Great place for camping, you can rent your gear in town and get here easily on a bike. Just watch out for the dog that comes to sniff your tent in the middle of the night😅
Meitar L — Google review
Really beautiful in the early morning. We went around 5.00am and at 6.00am the mist covered everything. You can park the bike at the small cafe on the corner at the base of the hill. The hill up is really steep. You can come back down an easier way, about 5 minutes walk up the road from the cafe.
Karunen V — Google review
It’s really beautiful and a peaceful hill. I wasn’t really lucky with the weather and couldn’t see any clouds but it was still an amazing experience How to get there: I was a bit lost since I arrive early in the dark (for sunrise) So here are the coordinates of the hiking trail Entrance: 11° 59' 38.391" N, 108° 25' 40.9076" E Peak: 11° 59' 41.4276" N, 108° 25' 42.0881" E From there you can walk 3 directions depending on what view you want. The walk is really short (just a few mins)

View is great but we went there waiting for the sunset however there was no visible sunset… Abit disappointed but we still had the hill to ourselves and the view was pretty awesome too! You can have a small picnic here too :)

Not too difficult to reach. The view is really nice, you can go there for camping and enjoying the sunrise & sunset. I also saw rubbish there, maybe there was someone coming and leave there. So, remember to take rubbish with you after coming to the hill for a cleaner view :D

#nofilterneeded 😆😆 There is no best day in Dalat, cus there are just better days here. As much as I traveled, i realized that it was not just the place makes me fall in love, it is the people from there that makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. They are so hospitably, caring, and genuine that ny heart was melted when being here. Dalat is not somewhere that you would instantly love, it is the place whose vibes would sink into your soul gradually, and after that you have no idea why Dalat is always in your mind. The time being here was chilling in the way I’d never had before, it was so slow yet so rapid that makes me nostalgic for days. The foods here are so fine but I was so busy eating every things that I forgot to take photos of fhem. Sorry. There are so many places that I dont visit this time so see you one day, Dalat!! 🥰🥰 If you have anything to share, dont hesitate to comment and let me know your thoughts about this place and also my post. Thank you so muchhhhhhh!!

Nestled in the picturesque hills of Dalat, Chicken Village, or Làng Con Gà, is a charming stop for those exploring the region on motorcycle tours. This unique K'Ho ethnic village is renowned for its striking giant concrete chicken statue that greets visitors upon arrival. The K'Ho people, indigenous to Lam Dong Province, embrace a matriarchal society and hold animist beliefs that add depth to their culture.
My easy rider told me the story of star crossed lovers like Romeo and Juliet. They were never found and died, but this monument serves as a reminder of their love since they were from opposing native tribes. The story says that they could be together if they found a chicken with 9 toes. I also saw a cool lizard

The serene atmosphere of Chùa Lâm Tỳ Ni offers a tranquil escape for those seeking peace and reflection amidst its spacious and well-maintained grounds.

Xuan Huong Lake, a crescent-shaped reservoir built in 1919 and named after an anti-establishment poet, offers a romantic and nostalgic atmosphere surrounded by green pine trees. It is fed by the Cam Ly Stream and provides a peaceful escape in central Vietnam's tourist-centric city. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls along the 4.5-mile circumference trail, relax at nearby coffee shops, take pedal boats on the lake, or explore the area on tandem bicycles.
what a beautiful place just to chilling and looking at the lake. its really pleasure to be here. really in love with the ambiance and atmosphere... shooting, calm, and chill ❤️ best ❤️

A peaceful, pleasant and very nice place to relax. People often come here to take photos or exercise, especially running around the lake. It can get a bit busy at times, though. There’re benches where you can sit and enjoy the view. Walking along the lake, you’ll occasionally find street vendors selling local Vietnamese desserts—usually around 20k each. Not exactly cheap, but it seems to be the standard price in the Dalat city center. There aren’t any gym equipment stations here —maybe they want to keep it a purely scenic and relaxing spot.

Xuan Huong Lake lies gently at the heart of Da Lat, like a soft ribbon draped across this dreamy city. In the early morning, the lake is calm like a mirror, reflecting the blue sky and whispering pine trees. The air is cool and fresh, carrying the delicate scent of grass and flowers – the signature charm of Da Lat. People often walk or ride bicycles around the lake, or simply sit quietly by the water, breathing in the peace of the moment. As the afternoon fades, the golden glow of sunset falls over the surface of the lake, creating a romantic and serene atmosphere. Xuan Huong Lake is not only beautiful – it’s a place where memories are made. Whether it’s a warm cup of soy milk shared with a friend, gentle laughter in the mist, or a quiet moment alone with your thoughts – it’s the kind of place that stays in your heart.

A signature spot of Da Lat, known for its beautiful scenery and peaceful atmosphere. Walking along the lakebank in the early morning, you can really feel the calmness set in—it’s a great way to relieve stress. Highly recommended. However, please be careful not to stand too close to the edge. There have been accidents where people fell into the water and sadly lost their lives.

Such a pretty serene lake and must visit in Da Lat! It shows different shades of beauty in different time of the day.. We enjoyed early morning time more. If have enough time and staying in nearby accommodation, please take a walkaround the entire lake loop. Views are different from each side and breathtaking. We stayed few days for Christmas holiday and everyday used to spent good amount of time exploring different banks of it. At evening, hawker ladies sell bbq corns, shrimp, sweet potatoes which are delish. Can enjoy boat ride also. Current is really strong due to super windy weather, please be careful during boat ride

Nestled in the serene landscapes east of Dalat, Thiền viện Vạn Hạnh is a captivating temple complex that draws visitors with its stunning architecture and spiritual ambiance. The highlight of this monastery is undoubtedly the magnificent golden statue of Sakyamuni Buddha, gracefully seated on a lotus flower and raising another lotus in his hand—a powerful symbol from the Linh Son Dharma Conference.
I am out on this day, the 14th of January 2025, since early morning and did my stuff before going for a walk around the city before heading to the Pagoda of Thiền viện Vạn Hạnh. It is peculiar because it didn't rain since I woke up at 7 AM. However, when I walked up hill to reach the entrance, a Russian tourist group came in, and the rain started. It didn't feel like rain, just like melted snow was pouring above us, and it felt magical. I was so glad it happened, and yet I was out since 9 am. outside with the same grey sky that is still around, even now, close to 4 pm. I had to come to that Pagoda after 3 hours of walking around and start to record video, then the rain would appear and gave me that magical moment that was so indescribable and so powerful. Hope you will feel that tremendous energy from that Pagoda in my photos and videos.

Nestled among the cool hills and pine-groves of sweet spring-city Đà Lạt, Tiền Viện Vạn Nanh offers a quietly profound escape — a place where spiritual tradition and the gentle beauty of nature meet. Established in the mid-20th century, this monastery stands on ground once dedicated to local Buddhist recitation-groups before being formally developed into a monastic centre. The grounds were expanded and the main hall rebuilt in the 1980s and 1990s under the leadership of respected monk Thích Viên Thanh. Over time the temple became not only a place of worship for monks, nuns and lay devotees, but also a landmark in Đà Lạt’s Buddhist-cultural landscape. During its restoration, a remarkable statue of the Buddha—holding a lotus—was erected as the focal point of the shrine. That lotus-gesture derives from a Buddhist assembly story and symbolises awakening, purity, and the coming-together of insight and compassion. Walking into Tiền Viện Vạn Nanh one immediately senses its guiding philosophy: that peace arises not by escaping life, but by fully embracing the present with calm awareness. The lotus in the Buddha’s hand whispers of the possibility to live in the world (rooted in everyday life) yet remain untouched by its turmoil. In the quiet cloisters, stone-lots, gardens and carved statues invite contemplation; the architecture and layout encourage the pilgrim to slow down, breathe deeply, and reflect. This idea—being mindful, present, and connected while gently letting go of agitation—is at the heart of the monastery’s spiritual teaching. What makes Tiền Viện Vạn Nanh special is how it combines natural quietude with spiritual depth. Amid pine-scented air and distant hills, the stately main hall with its golden statue draws the visitor into a generous space of stillness. The grounds are spacious but not ostentatious; the atmosphere is humble yet dignified. One may sit on the courtyard steps looking out over vegetable-patches and flower-beds of Đà Lạt city—a reminder that the sacred resides alongside the ordinary. Monks go about their daily tasks; incense-smoke curls in the air; visitors move gently, respectful of the place. If you seek more than a photo-stop, Tiền Viện Vạn Nanh delivers. It isn’t flashy; it doesn’t compete for attention. Instead it invites serenity, reflection and a kind of gentle awakening to the moment. For travellers in Đà Lạt looking to connect with local Buddhist heritage and find a quiet corner of introspection, this monastery offers exactly that. Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, spiritual practice or simply a moment of calm away from the bustle, Tiền Viện Vạn Nanh is well worth a visit.

Thiền Viện Vạn Hạnh, located at 39 Phù Đổng Thiên Vương Street in Ward 8, Đà Lạt, is a renowned Buddhist monastery celebrated for its spiritual ambiance and architectural beauty. Established in 1952, it stands as one of the city’s oldest and most significant religious sites. A prominent feature of the monastery is the towering statue of Buddha Thích Ca Niêm Hoa Vi Tiếu, recognized as the largest Buddha statue in Đà Lạt. This impressive sculpture, with its serene expression, serves as a focal point for visitors and devotees alike. The monastery’s architecture harmoniously blends traditional Vietnamese design with distinctive Asian elements. The main hall is adorned with intricate carvings and houses various Buddha statues, creating a tranquil environment for meditation and reflection. Surrounding the main hall are meticulously maintained gardens featuring a variety of flowers, bonsai trees, and symbolic sculptures, such as the Lâm Tì Ni garden and statues of Quan Âm riding a dragon and Di Lạc Buddha. These elements enhance the monastery’s serene atmosphere, offering visitors a peaceful retreat from the city’s hustle and bustle. Thiền Viện Vạn Hạnh also hosts regular meditation retreats and Buddhist teachings, providing opportunities for both practitioners and visitors to deepen their understanding of Buddhism and experience monastic life. Open daily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, the monastery welcomes all who seek spiritual enrichment or a moment of tranquility. Visitors are encouraged to dress modestly and maintain the sanctity of the space during their visit. In summary, Thiền Viện Vạn Hạnh offers a serene and culturally enriching experience, making it a must-visit destination for those exploring Đà Lạt’s spiritual and historical landscape.

This is a very special place and well worth the walk from the city centre. It is far more majestic in real life than the camera can capture. There are 3 large golden Buddhas, beautiful gardens and rich temples. It's a peaceful spot and also has some lovely views out over the city. It's a nice walk to the temple, with lots of good bubble milk tea shops along the route!

A well maintained temple. There are some ongoing constructions on the side of the temple. The Buddha status is large and beautiful. There are 2 entrances to this temple, one from the main road is steep and lots of potholes. Use the side road which is gentler and well-paved. Beware of tour buses if driving.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Golden Buddha Pagoda and I was thoroughly impressed by its beauty and serenity. The pagoda is a stunning example of traditional Buddhist architecture, with intricate details and striking golden sculptures adorning the exterior. Upon entering the pagoda, I was greeted by the warm and peaceful energy that seemed to permeate the air. The main hall was magnificent, with a large golden Buddha statue that commanded attention with its size and radiant beauty. The intricate carvings and detailed paintings on the walls added to the awe-inspiring atmosphere, making it a truly spiritual experience. One of the standout features of this pagoda was the tranquil gardens surrounding it, with serene ponds and lush greenery adding to the peaceful environment. It was a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life and the perfect place for quiet reflection and meditation. The pagoda also had a number of smaller shrines and altars dedicated to various Buddhist figures, each with its own unique charm and beauty. These added to the overall spiritual experience, making it an excellent destination for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of Buddhism or simply enjoy a peaceful and beautiful environment. In conclusion, the Golden Buddha Pagoda is a must-visit for anyone in the area, whether you are a spiritual seeker, a history enthusiast, or simply looking for a tranquil escape from the world. Its beauty and peaceful energy will leave a lasting impression and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and inspiring experience.

This is NOT a tourist attraction. Don't come here - it's a waste of time. There are few houses in fake-old style. I guess now these buildings are used for weddings or other celebrations. I made few nice pictures here but I I didn't enjoy this "French Quarter" at all.
