Historical landmark
Cromer Pier, a Grade II listed Victorian pier, is a prominent landmark in Cromer. Stretching 151 meters into the sea, it stands out as one of only five UK seaside piers with a thriving theater and hosts the only end-of-the-pier show of its kind globally. The pier offers year-round entertainment including crab fishing, souvenir shopping, dining at the restaurant or bar, and enjoying traditional ice creams from the kiosk.
Used to visit as a child so a nice walk down memory lane! Lots of restoration has been done to the structure and walkway, men still fish at the end like my father used to,the famous Cromer lifeboat is housed at the end, also there is a bar so we enjoyed a lovely cool drink so a very nice visit 😀

Beach was ok. Fish and chips was the better part of the trip (10/10). Would likely not come back in all fairness to this beach. Was nice to have parking right by the beach, just need to find a spot or wait around.
Shyam — Google review
Lovely place to visit on a sunny June day. It was amazing to walk on the pier and also have a chance to walk around the RNLI lifeboat building and browse around their shop. There is a cafe/bistro and gift shop plus the theatre which wasn't open at the time of our visit.
Philip S — Google review
We had a lovely time at Cromer. We saw a show at the Theatre on the end of the pier. It was amazing. There were lovely views from the pier, and lots of people were enjoying the lovely weather on the beach. The only criticism is lack of clear signs for Car Parks, and lack of access for disabled people. My 86 year old Mother did well to cope with walking down the steps to the pier, but it made us late for the show!
Lis P — Google review
Such fun, you can see the RNLI lifeboat station, super cafes selling fabulous fish and chips and ice cream and don't forget the local delicacy, Cromer crabs. You can catch your own crabs off the pier with kit you can buy there. We saw the crowning of the carnival queen and a parade of motor bikes. A great day out, easy parking, good signage and local people keen to host you.
Vivienne C — Google review
Chose a lovely day to visit Cromer and a trip down the pier is always a must. The amusements are no longer on the pier and once passed the entry part, unless the theatre bar is open, no-where to buy anything and nothing really to do apart from visit the lifeboat museum which is very interesting in itself.
Anne-Marie M — Google review
Even though the weather was not sunny (how could I dare to ask for another in the UK!) the Cromer pier has offered us a picturesque environment. The view is stunning!
Jorge M — Google review
Great sea side pier at Cromer. Lovely atmosphere, close to amusements, fish & chips, the pier even has a theatre with great shows listed. Nice walks along the beach

Cromer Museum, set in a quaint Victorian fisherman's cottage, invites visitors to embark on an enchanting exploration of the town's diverse history. This charming venue showcases a fascinating collection of artifacts that span from ancient fossils to relics celebrating Cromer's vibrant fishing past. Among its highlights is memorabilia dedicated to Henry Blogg, the legendary lifeboatman who served from 1909 to 1949 and became Britain's most decorated hero in this field.
A lovely little museum with welcoming staff and a very reasonable entry fee
Tony ( — Google review
Museum open 1st January, not sure if this is just a one off for the Bank Holiday. Despite the modern frontage the main museum is in a row of former fishermen’s cottages. Worth a visit. Friendly staff (or volunteers?)
Carole T — Google review
A little row of cottages in a courtyard with wash house and geology museum. Nice history of the railways, town of Shipden that was here before Cromer, fossils, photography, etc Little shop selling lovely postcards and books. Very reasonable entry price
Corinna H — Google review
A fabulous and informative little museum with much more to see than we imagined. Potted history of various aspects of prehistoric and ancient Cromer, the local people, and their lives. Excellent value for money with a nice little gift shop. It's well worth a visit. 😀
Helen L — Google review
Gorgeous museum! Excellent interpretation and beautifully illustrated geological exhibits. I particularly loved learning about the photographic work of Olive Edris and viewing her portraits. The two gentlemen working in admissions were really welcoming, and so helpful with their suggestions and signposting to other museums/attractions of interest. Thank you for a wonderful visit! If you are in Cromer, this museum is well worth the entrance fee and an hour of your time.
Miranda — Google review
A very interesting and creative little museum. Spread through several old fisherman's cottages it covers daily life, notable locals and some fascinating paleontology from the area. Lovely chat with the chap on the reception desk and we'll worth a visit.

Lovely local museum. Well worth a look. Ask for the Queer Norfolk leaflet to explore the LGBT+ historical links. Anna Gurney and others. Oscar Wilde stayed at the Cafe de Paris hotel. There are still ghostly remnants to find.

Lovely little museum. All about local hero Henry Blogg, Cromer and the surrounding areas. There's a lovely selection of geology if kids are interested in dinosaurs. The entry price was reasonable too and friendly staff.

Fantastic museum all about lifeboats and the great work they do, especially the local hero who worked here 50 years and saved over 800 lives. Perfect for a visit on a rainy day or any time really!

We only nipped in on this visit but will be going back! It's free, has great facilities being under a cafe and next to toilets. Has a lift so fully accessible. It's a small but perfectly formed museum, packed with information and lots of interactive bits to keep kids amused. So impressed.

Cromer Beach is a quintessential Victorian seaside town located on the north Norfolk coast, offering a long pebble-and-sand beach with a promenade and chalk cliffs. The iconic pier features a Pavilion Theatre, while the area also boasts excellent fish and chips, independent cafes and restaurants, amusements, a lifeboat station and museum. Visitors can enjoy water sports, lifeguard-patrolled areas, stunning cliff-top walks, and an array of nearby shops.
Had a lovely short break to Cromer Beach. The area has a real buzz to it with a nice beach, plenty of local shops, and of course classic fish and chips by the sea. It really had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway, made even better by the great weather. Perfect spot for a simple, enjoyable break.

A nice English beach. The pier looks good. The Life boat part was interesting. We didn't spend too much time as it was quite cold and very windy. But overall, and in better weather, I think it's a good place to relax.

Great beach pebbles and sand with a lovely sea front. some area's can be a bit steep but lots to look at and do the pier is a great place to do crabbing from

Absolutely gorgeous to walk along. Saw seals every day we were there. Nice cafes on the promenade and a large part is dog friendly
Danae B — Google review
The people of Norfolk are some of the loveliest in England; so warm, friendly and kind. Cromer beach was clean, dog friendly and with lovely soft sand. A little pebbly leading into the sea so take some crocks or something! But a great beach with great little food places alongside with seating to overlook the sea. Will definitely go back next summer:)
Taz R — Google review
Beatiful beach short walk from Cromer centre. Clean well maintained long stretch of sand, some pebbles and takeaway food stalls. Fantastic Victorian pier. Promenade walk also a pleasant experience
Jon S — Google review
Lovely beach but difficult to get down to the promenade for someone with a disability. Would need a strong grip on a wheelchair although the slope was less steep at the pier entrance. Plenty of signs to warn against touching the brown-tailed moth caterpillars, pretty to look at though.

A fabulous charity. Plus, this place is well worth seeing because not only does it share the history of the RNLI but also the local interest too. Also, the boat is very impressive and worth taking a look.

The RNLI Cromer Lifeboat Station, located on the picturesque coastline of Cromer, Norfolk, is a vital institution dedicated to saving lives at sea. Established in 1804, it is one of the oldest lifeboat stations in the UK, with a long and storied history of maritime rescue. The station has been home to several lifeboats over the years, each playing a crucial role in numerous daring rescues. The current lifeboat, the Tamar-class Lester, is equipped with the latest technology to tackle the challenging conditions of the North Sea. The station is manned by a team of dedicated volunteers who are on call 24/7, ready to respond to emergencies. These volunteers undergo rigorous training to ensure they can perform rescues efficiently and safely. Cromer Lifeboat Station is housed in a modern facility that includes a boathouse and a visitor center. The visitor center provides educational exhibits about the RNLI's history, the lifeboat station's operations, and the heroic rescues carried out by its crews. The station's most famous lifeboatman, Henry Blogg, served for over 53 years and became a national hero for his bravery. His legacy is celebrated in the nearby Henry Blogg Museum. The RNLI Cromer Lifeboat Station continues to be a beacon of courage and community spirit, essential to the safety of those at sea.
Andre B — Google review
Didn't realise there was an RNLI station here so was a nice surprise. Staff were friendly and encouraged us to go and look at the life boat. Lots of information explaining about the RNLI etc
David B — Google review
Our visit was very brief as our little one was sleeping in her pram but did get to see the boat coming in. Very busy on the observation deck.
Gemma A — Google review
This is like a small museum that showcase the rescue boat and the amazing crew and rescue work they have done and the history of the station. A very cool exhibition house thou the actual museum is away from the pier. A must visit if you go to the pier. Just walk all the way to the end as it’s kinda hidden behind the theatre pavilion.
Pauline Y — Google review
This was an interesting museum. I can't say I have been in one like it before. It is a bit small and can get crowded. There is a pretty big set of stairs to go up to see the boat so if you have someone with limited mobility they may not be able to go up. Fun small gift shop right as you go in.
Chris B — Google review
A piece of engineering marvel to have a working lifeboat situated on the end of the pier was just incredible with all the names of those that have served on the wall and a shop at the end. I enquired about one of their famous windbreaker jackets I see them wearing and of that was for sale but alas no, that’s just reserved for the crew! Amazing surprise to see this. Well worth the visit!

The Pavilion Theatre is a 510-seater entertainment venue located at the end of Cromer Pier, a historic Victorian structure known for withstanding various challenges throughout its existence. The theatre hosts live cabaret, comedy performances, and a bar for visitors to enjoy. It is famous for being the home of the UK's only remaining traditional end-of-the-pier variety show that takes place every Summer and Winter.
As one of the last remaining ‘End-Of-The-Pier’ shows in the country, this is well worth a visit. Great quality singing, dancing and entertainment provides a lovely experience for anyone visiting Cromer. There’s something for everyone and some great drinks in the bar too :) Looking forward to visiting again in the winter!

Probably the best variety show I have ever seen. Pure joy! Please be aware that this is the last surviving 'End of The Pier' show in Britain. If you want this huge piece of British culture to continue , GO! Better than therapy. The Pavilion Theatre, Cromer, Norfolk... You should be a prescribed medication.
Rob L — Google review
Just returned from a brilliant night out at the Cromer Pier Show, the last remaining end of the pier summer show. And you can certainly understand why it's survived as it was a smashing night out with something for everyone. The whole cast were amazing but there must be a special mention for host Ben Nickless, who l've seen perform previously in panto where he was equally brilliant and lead vocalist Kristel Herrera, who could grace any West End stage. Well done to North Norfolk District Council for their continued investment in this amazing theatre. Oh, and go see the show, you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely brilliant. The seats were superb, comfortable with a goid view. The performance was outstanding. We've not enjoyed a night out like this for ages and I reckon it's going to be something fairly spectacular to beat it.

Outdoor Activities
Nestled on the outskirts of Cromer, Amazona Zoo is a one-of-a-kind destination showcasing over 200 South American animals. This unique zoo, developed over two years, spans 10 acres and features a variety of tropical creatures such as Jaguars, Otters, Monkeys, and Flamingos. The park-style layout offers visitors the opportunity to stroll along paths and observe the animals up close in their natural habitat.
Wow! This little place was amazing. Please do not expect a giant zoo visiting here as corner itself isn’t massive but this is so worth the visit. The staff are super friendly, very knowledgeable and really enthusiastic about the animals. The zoo grounds are very well kept, Such a beautiful tranquil day out for myself, husband and our two children. It has a small reasonably priced cafe, a free small indoor play area and an outdoor park. Plenty of free parking just outside the zoo. We managed to spend a good few hours here and enjoyed every minute. We will return for sure. Many thanks to all the staff :)
Natalie B — Google review
My family and I visited Amazona Zoo yesterday, and overall, it was quite enjoyable! 👍 Sadly, we had pre-booked a day that turned out to be quite rainy. The admission prices are a bit on the high side, but children aged 4 and under can enter for free. We had a wonderful time exploring the beautiful and fascinating animals on display. There is a wide variety of different species to see. They also provide a fun soft play area and an outdoor play zone, which includes a "giant inflatable pillow." Unfortunately, due to the bad weather, we couldn't use that attraction. Although we didn't dine at the zoo, there is a cafe that appeared cozy and had plenty of options. The gift shop is filled with lots of fun and delightful items to buy. In the end, I rated the zoo 4 stars, partly because the giant inflatable was closed and partly due to the slightly high entry fee. Overall, despite the rain, it was a good day out.
Ruth C — Google review
Lovely zoo in a beautiful setting, the paths are well marked and is easy to navigate, it is not a big zoo so you can get around and see everything in around two hours at a leisurely pace. The cafe was nice but they do not serve alcohol, we sat outside on a bench and had a bowl of chips (frozen fries) for £2.50 and a tuna sandwich for £3. The bench was a bit wobbly but overlooked the lake with geese and flamingos..despite the rain it was a lovely place to visit, with very friendly staff. Everything was clean from animal enclosures to the paths and toilets. There is a nice play area for children with a climbing frame and slide. Will visit again when the weather is nicer.
Matthew C — Google review
It's a small zoo but that actually suited me fine! I walk with crutches & the distance of walking was just right for me. They do offer wheelchairs which I accepted, just in case. It's a sweet little place that has a couple of different animals the bigger zoos I've been to don't have. It was quiet too, which was nice as you could stay as long as you wanted at the animal enclosures.
Paula D — Google review
It's a little nook of a zoo, wide variety of animals to see. I feel the jaguar enclosure is a bit small though and it's open to view for public from all angles which feels very exposed for the animal. Overall nice experience but it does bring home the sadness of caging animals, even in spirt of conservation
Abigail W — Google review
Great place to spend time here. There is a zone for children where they can play or jump on a trampoline. Also a children's soft room. Also interesting animals and plants in the zoo. I recommend visiting
Olha O — Google review
Great day out. Everything was easily accessible for kids to see. Loads of animals, watched the otter being fed. They also had an indoor play area for smaller kids, really handy to keep them entertained
Lucy M — Google review
Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Despite it being the half term, the place was fairly quiet. We booked our tickets online which was a very easy process, went to the kiosk, scanned our code, and away we went. The park isn’t huge, but it has all the animals you’d expect in a South American themed zoo. The obvious highlight are the cats, I’ve never been so close to either a Jaguar or a Puma! Then there is the Tapir and the Capybara, both enjoying the central enclosure allowing for great views (when the Capybaras weren’t playing hide and seek in the water!) The reptile house was good, the Cayman was easily seen, the exhibits were also good, the Leafcutter ant trail in the lights was a clever touch. The Rhea, Macaws and parrots were great and made sure you knew they were there. Finally, I must’ve forget to mention the primates. The marmosets were cute and the Capuchins were amusing. The park was tidy and well set out. The enclosures looked like they were well taken care of with plenty of stimulation for the animals. There is a cafe which we only used for take away drinks, and the gift shop is well stocked with zoo paraphernalia. There is an outdoor play area and a soft play area inside (Jungle Tumbles) for kids, but as we didn’t have them we didn’t check it out. Amazona is well worth a visit with kids, it’ll keep them occupied for hours!

Cromer Parish Church, also known as St Peter and St Paul, is a historic 15th-century church located in the seaside town of Cromer. The church's tower used to be open for visitors to enjoy stunning views, but it has been closed due to Peregrine Falcons making it their home. Despite the disappointment of not being able to climb the tower, the presence of these birds adds an exciting element to the town.

Lovely church to visit, friendly staff.stained glass windows very impressive, church very much part of the community. Cafe lovely and reasonable priced. Gift shop selling keyrings, prayer cards etc... would recommend a visit
Lisa K — Google review
What a beautiful jewel in the East coast of England. This humble church has been scene of historic moments and I can barely imagine its heritage. It dates back to the 14th century. After falling into a poor state of preservation, it was rebuilt in the late 19th century. At 48 meters, its bell tower is the tallest in the county. Also noteworthy are the enormous stained-glass windows commemorating several members of the lifeboat crew.
Jorge M — Google review
Lovely church situated on the High Street. Open for the coffee shop, had lunch inside. Toilets available, may be a bit difficult to get a wheelchair into the toilet. Able to walk round the church and read about the history of the building.

Love visiting this place. The beautiful windows and scenes with the tranquil atmosphere are perfect for sight seeing or faith.

Cromer church is located a few minutes from the coast. The church was built in the early 15th century and the church tower stands at around 50 metres tall, making it the tallest in Norfolk. The ascention window had to be replaced after it was destroyed by bombing in 1942. Definitely worth visiting and supporting.

Cromer Parish Church is an absolute gem nestled in the picturesque town of Cromer. Stepping into this historic place of worship is like stepping back in time. The grandeur and beauty of the church are truly awe-inspiring. The architecture of Cromer Parish Church is a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of its builders. The soaring spire and intricate detailing captivate the eye, showcasing the rich history and heritage of the area. It's impossible not to feel a sense of reverence and admiration when standing in its presence. Inside, the church is equally magnificent. The stunning stained glass windows cast colorful rays of light, creating a serene and ethereal atmosphere. The peaceful ambiance invites contemplation and reflection, offering a sanctuary for spiritual seekers and those in need of quiet solace. Cromer Parish Church is not only a place of worship but also a hub of community life. Visiting Cromer and popped into look around St Peter and St Paul 's Catedral . Choir practice was on and wonderful to watch and listen to. There are Perigan falcons nesting in the front of the building at the very top. You can hear their cries. Amazing experience.

Cromer Lighthouse is a popular destination for family and pet-friendly beach walks in Norfolk. The circular walk spans 4.7km, offering stunning views of the coastline, cliffs, and heathland. While the trail includes 236 steps to the clifftop, it is considered an easy route suitable for those with reasonable fitness levels.
A good walk up to see the lighthouse. Track is well laid out. Great views of Comer from the path

Always enjoy our walk from Cromer to Overstrand walking along the clifftop bye- passing the Lighthouse in view and back along the beach.
Paul D — Google review
Lovely walk from Cromer but not for the faint of heart. Only saw one sign and the footpath was very narrow and in very poor condition. Worth the view but the Lighthouse is now private rentals so don't expect to get to close! Saw lots of lovely friendly people and dogs on this walk but unforgiving in the sun (not much shade)
- C — Google review
Historical Lighthouse with alot of history connected to the area of Cromer coast. The Lighthouse is kept in excellent condition and is still a working lighthouse for the sorrounding coastline. A lighthouse keeper is in permanent residence here. There is also a holiday rental property on the site aswell. The area around the lighthouse is kept in good condition and there are several nature walks starting from there. There is also a Helipad located there.
Malcolm C — Google review
It isn't possible to get into the lighthouse but the view from there is quite something. You can walk up the track just to the right of the Golf club carport or through the country club. The road up through the country club is very steep in places.
Ian M — Google review
The 3 stars is for the route, it's more suitable for walking track. It's hard to get to park unless in the golf club parking area which is for members only. It approximately takes 20-30 mins of walk. With car it takes 2-3 mins but with narrow road and actually a private path. We were lucky that no other car passing thru otherwise we had to reverse to let other car pass. The view on top is outstanding! We can't enter the tower/the building.

Amazing!! Lovely hike from the beach via forests, trail and quite a few steps. Quite steep steps and narrow trail, at places.

Established in 1888, Royal Cromer Golf Club is the second oldest golf club in Norfolk and holds a royal status due to its patronage by King Edward VII. The course has undergone significant changes over the years due to coastal erosion, with renowned architects like JH Taylor and James Braid contributing to its design. Offering stunning views of the sea from nearly every hole, it features sandy hills, grassy valleys, and abundant gorse and bracken.
The stunningly beautiful scenery and the warm locals have made me love this golf course❣️ The course is very challenging, with ups and downs, so it is good exercise. Next time I will practice more and improve my skills before visiting😉
CHIHIRO — Google review
Superb golf club, really friendly staff. Beautiful golf course alongside the sea, not a bad hole. Lunch was great too. Played on twilight fee....
Stephen G — Google review
Excellent course, immaculate greens. Played at the twilight rate which is great value for a course this standard. Great staff in the pro shop. Joined up with another visitor from the US and a local business owner. Great bloke. Showed us around the course and where to aim etc. Pint in the bar after was great. 3rd year visiting and hopefully back next year.

Who needs Pebble Beach when you have got Royal Cromer! I played with my two brothers, the greens and fairway’s were was in fantastic condition, the views were incredible, we had clear blue skies and no wind (which helped) and the course was challenging too. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a round in Norfolk.
Jack — Google review
Simply stunning ! Amazing golf course, in superb condition, with the best views. An absolutely must, this course does not disappoint.
James K — Google review
What else can be said that others haven't already? One of the very best, not only in Norfolk but in the whole country. Stunning views across the course and sea, amazing layout and memorable hole after memorable hole. The place just feels special. If you haven't played here yet, do yourself a favour and book in.
Ash ( — Google review
As a relative novice golfer, this is the hardest course I've played. HOWEVER, the course is utterly beautiful, with magnificent views and large elevation changes. The greens were hard and fast, the fairways wide but challenging. The staff were welcoming, friendly and accommodating and the members were very chatty and good with local knowledge about the course. The green fees were approx £50 but worth every penny.
Oli S — Google review
Booked the course post 3pm for a twilight round with friends for my birthday. Pro shop, staff at the bar and everyone associated with the establishment were fantastic and welcoming. Course was in fantastic condition and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting. We travelled from Leeds to play and can say it was definitely worth it!

Lovely place with lovely views, great for Sunsets, walks, dog walks, reading, resting or anything you could imagine. It's a really peaceful place.

This is a large green space for walking through situated next to the coastal path. It contains lots of new and old fashioned seating areas, beautifully maintained gardens, Friends Bistro Cafe, boating lake, children's play area and the Town Council building. There is a bridge which is part of the children's play area that has dedicated memorials and family tributes along it which is a lovely way to personalise the space. A beautiful tranquil space for either walking through or sitting in quiet reflection.

Great walk along beach, then climb up a lot of steps - had to stop for breath a couple of times. Views from top coastal path . Wish I'd come earlier in week for stunning sunsets! Today mist coming in from the sea. Could do same walk across top without the steep climb from Hotel de Paris.

Felbrigg Hall, Gardens & Estate is a stunning 15th-century mansion surrounded by a vast estate featuring a lake and woodland. Managed by the National Trust, this historic hall boasts fine Jacobean architecture, stained glass windows, original features, and a beautiful Georgian interior. The colorful walled garden is considered one of the best in Norfolk, complemented by an 18th-century Orangery and expansive orchards within the 500-acre parkland.
This National Trust estate has probably the best walled gardens we have ever seen at any of the National Trust sites we have visited. Plenty of rooms to see in the house with volunteers in all the rooms ready to give answers to any questions. Plenty of catering facilities, so no problem get a snack Got beautiful walks with lovely views. Highly recommend a visit to Felbrigg.

Much more to see and do than we anticipated. Enormous estate with lots of opportunities for walkers. Fabulous walled gardens with dovecote. Huge variety of plants and vegetables. Interesting house. Lovely courtyard area for coffee, snacks etc. Obligatory NT shop. We wanted to walk to the lake but there's not a single sign directing you too it. The paper map's not helpful. Used Google maps to find it. Lovely peaceful spot.

Fantastic walled garden. Once of the best I've visited. Great for a chilled relaxing day out. They do a great pot of tea too. Plenty of parking and easily accessible toilets too.

We arrived and had a tasty snack at the cafe, then spent the rest of the day exploring g the grounds. They are really well set up and we could easily have spent longer exploring. There is a lo ely lake that had swans and older cygnets on it, mushrooms in the woodland, a beautiful church and butterflies in the grasses. Beautiful!

Found this small micro brewery by chance when walking around Cromer near tourist information building. Great place enjoyed talking to the 'landlady' who was happy to take my photo in brewery and we had a good chat. I had a light colour AND then ruby colour draft beers which were excellent. Good selection of beers and gins to sample, buy and take away. Will visit again for sure. BRILLIANT.

Wow, just wow! What a place, micro brewery , but with so many different bottles (and some on tap). And £4 in Aug 2025 for a pint is a steal. Well done and keep brewing!

Panoramic views out to sea. Easy to see why coastal erosion has badly impacted on this area in the past. Access to flat sandy beach via a steep incline to the concrete promenade below. Another access point is via a steep flight of uneven steps. Cliff top car park has public toilets and visiting ice cream van. Food can be found at either the Sea Marge Hotel, White Horse ph or Cliff top Cafe.
