Duluth Grill is a beloved restaurant in Duluth, MN, offering a warm and modern atmosphere with an extensive breakfast menu. The eatery provides locally sourced comfort food with an eclectic twist, such as a creamy Havarti omelet stuffed with house-smoked salmon. Known for its made-from-scratch dishes and fresh ingredients, the restaurant offers hearty options like the Billy Bob Burrito and Deluxe Biscuits & Gravy.
This is a must stop for great breakfast or lunch when near Duluth. It was very busy the day we went, but only a few minutes wait for a table. The servers are all attentive and knowledgeable. They have a good selection of gluten free options. The grits were amazing. The rusted brussel sprouts were great. Delicious thick cut bacon. My family thought the cinnamon roll French toast was the best ever! They have home made lemonade, custom coffee and tea drinks, smoothies, and brunch cocktails. We went at lunch time on a weekday, and it was rather loud. But the food is so good.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! My friends and I stopped here this morning on our way into Duluth and I’m so glad we did. The atmosphere was perfect, although it was super busy when we arrived , we were able to get seated fairly quickly! The cleanliness of the restaurant was a HUGE plus , each and every staff member/waiter was so welcoming! To top it off the food was incredible! The Barbacoa has was filled with so much flavor! Can’t say enough about it 🤍 also the farmers eggs was the perfect breakfast for my morning! 10 out of five stars! ⭐️ best part about it is breakfast and LUNCH served all day!! Plates were all beautifully presented!
Alishea C — Google review
Duluth Grill is a great place to grab some breakfast. They have a nice sized menu with takes on classics as well as some of their own special dishes. They even make most things on their menu from scratch even down things like their ketchup and lemonade. We tried quite a few things, and while the cinnamon roll was on the sweeter side it was still moist and fluffy. Everything else we have was very very fresh and not greasy at all. The main thing to note is the wait times. On average you may wait anywhere from 30mins to over an hour for a table depending on party size and where you want to sit. Definitely a must stop for anyone in Duluth looking for a good breakfast.
Ben R — Google review
The Duluth Grill was worth the 40 minute wait! I would definitely plan ahead if you want to eat her during peak hours. We had a party of five and we all had something different. Everybody raved about their food. Service was outstanding too! The standouts were the barbacoa hash and the brussel sprouts.
Jason C — Google review
While it’s quite busy on the weekends, it’s worth it. Great food with local Minnesota North woods flair. There is also a fantastic tea bar with specialty drinks. I return here whenever I’m in the area and I’ve never been disappointed. Great skillets, hash, and burritos (the Billy Bob is out of this world) for breakfast and brunch.
Cortney P — Google review
Lines are long but it is very easy to see why. The food is fantastic, easily the best chicken sandwich of my life. The server (Vera I think) was absolutely fantastic and was extremely careful with allergies. Cannot recommend enough!
Bethany H — Google review
The service was some of the best I've had. The food was delicious. I had the CU Tomago. It was a little difficult to eat but the flavors were amazing. I personally think the Korean brussel sprouts was the best part of the whole meal. I also ordered a Prickly Pear Lemonade-- very sweet and tangy refresher to go with your brunch!
Callie F — Google review
There is nothing better than Duluth Grill after a sunrise photography adventure! Today I had Chili con Huevo and a caramel roll (that I intended to bring home). If I am going to spend money on food at a restaurant it needs to be good. Today's food was perfection. Thank you for taking the time and care to make this experience perfect! See you again soon!

Sandwich shop
Nestled in the charming port town of Duluth, Minnesota, Northern Waters Smokehaus is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the art of smoked fish and meats. This culinary gem boasts an impressive menu featuring over 25 gourmet sandwiches that highlight locally sourced ingredients.
This is a unique little sandwich shop that offers some amazing sandwiches. They specialize in smoked fish - but everything we had here was good. They have a ton of different sandwich options. After ordering, you'll probably have to wait 10 minutes or so, but it's worth the wait. They also have smoked fish and meats you can pick up in the cooler downstairs.
Greg E — Google review
The Cajan Finn is hands down my favorite fish sandwich! Wow was I blown away by flavors that are incorporated into this masterpiece. It’s worth the money. Friendly staff and short wait time. This sandwich leaves you satisfied.
Clarissa M — Google review
There is a line at all hours for a reason. The food is unreal and vibe is immaculate. Everyone who works there actually cares in some fashion about the place and the product. Pick something up from the deli or the merch wall before you go. Employees for the most part are the artists behind the many items for purchase. Get the Cajun Finn. And the hoodie. Perfection.
Kate — Google review
This is the second time we’ve eaten there, I don’t remember what kind of sandwich I had the first time, but it was absolutely fantastic. So this time I made a huge mistake, not remembering what I had before I ordered the gorilla, not wondering what kind of mustard they had on there. It was Dijon mustard, and that was the only thing I tasted. And it is not my favorite food. So the mistake was all mine. I thought my sandwich was awful, but my wife enjoyed hers. She even offered me part of hers. If the line wasn’t so long, I would’ve gone downstairs and ordered something different. Or maybe the same thing without the Dijon. Aside from that your food is really good, they even have a small deli next-door.
Nobox G — Google review
Food was amazing and decor was so cool with the fish on the walls. Not the easiest for handicap customers very confusing trying to get to bottom floor. Employee that was taking orders was unfriendly and not the most helpful for a first time customer. Seen this location all over TikTok that it was The Place to go. I had "The Big Dipper" had it with the porketta it was a great sandwich but the 3 Pepper Sauce was ICE cold which was a little disappointing I don't think its supposed to be served like that ... It would been a 10/10 with the sauce warm. With how high our lunch was my overall rating is 7.5/10.
Jesse K — Google review
Seriously tasty. I don’t know if I’ve had a more flavorful sandwich ever! Such a cool place, perfect amount of offerings. Everything they have is intentionally curated. Good luck trying to choose! Awesome location, although the parking situation isn’t great. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re in Duluth!
Maeden J — Google review
Put in an order in advance (checked around noon - 1:30 and 1:30 were fully booked but managed to get a mid week 2 PM order in, it worked out since we were at Jay Cooke and by the time we drove into Duluth and enjoyed the lake walk area, our sandwiches were ready for us at the pickup counter, no wait). Delicious Cajun Finn - a perfect sandwich!! We also enjoyed the Italiansk though we found it to be actually more delicious the next day when the bread had softened with the oil and vinegar. The restaurant and market are in the basement of the building - head down the stairs and follow the clear arrow signage. There was a good amount of seating down there in addition to the outdoor tables.
N — Google review
Definitely a must stop when down in the canal center. Plenty of sandwiches to choose from and a few beers on tap and in cans. There's a counter in the back selling smoked meats and fish. Everything I got was so good!

Cafe
Nestled in the port town of Duluth, Minnesota, At Sara's Table Chester Creek Cafe offers a farm-to-table menu with international influences in a charming setting. The cafe serves eclectic new American cuisine with options ranging from vegan granola for breakfast to Baileys Irish Cream frosted cupcakes for dessert.
The French toast was so good! The atmosphere was so cute on the cafe side! Light and airy and very cutesy. We were sat on the bar side and it was also cute just kind of a darker aesthetic! Our server was very nice and you could tell she loved her job! She was very insightful about menu items and helped some of my friends decide what to order!
Abi L — Google review
Amazing atmosphere, great food, great service, reasonable prices! What more can you ask! We went there for breakfast on a Saturday morning and there was like a 5 min wait for the patio (we had a dog with us). The service was awesome! And the food was just as good! I got the pancake and my wife got the eggs florantine( I think) and it was just what we were looking for!
Jeremiah P — Google review
Visiting Duluth, eat like a local here. It’s locally owned, an eclectic atmosphere with outstanding service and food. The homemade cherry Danish was flaky and buttery. Two of us shared the Cowboy Hash. It was flavorful with tender chunks of brisket with a delightful Harissa sauce. So good! You will love it here.
Suzanne D — Google review
Cowboy hash was delicious. The brisket in it was awesome, I only wish the eggs were less hard. The bread and jam really were a surprising treat too. We did have to wait about 20 minutes but you can order a coffee while you wait or sit at the bar or outside. I love the ambience - the bookshelves and big cozy booths especially. The Bloody Mary came with a good bent paddle chaser although there was no cheese/meat on the skewer (you could pay a whopping three extra dollars for a single slice of bacon added). The prices were the real downside here. At least on the breakfast front it seemed like a comparable restaurant would charge a few bucks less for a similar dish.
Sydney K — Google review
Probably my favorite breakfast in Duluth. Very fun options with all locally sourced ingredients. It's always pretty busy, but they keep things moving really well. The biscuit and berries is incredible. If you like a biscuit please get it. The Benedict with the wild rice sausage patties is one of the best breakfasts you can have. Service is always really good and quick. Come here if you have the chance!
Ben G — Google review
Cozy space with a view from the patio down to the lake. Came for a late weekday lunch with hopes of enjoying breakfast and coffee. Enjoyed the Cowboy Hash with a Honey Bee Latte. Finished off with a brown butter chocolate chip cookie. Felt like elevated comfort food - lovely, relaxed meal on a quiet patio. Kelly was attentive and engaged as a server. Inside, I loved the wrap around bookshelves offering used books, what a fun idea for the space. Would definitely return for breakfast or lunch!
Ryan W — Google review
What a true farm to table restaurant with a unique and cozy atmosphere. The menu offers plenty of variety and options as well as drinks. I tried their curry which was my favorite, my boyfriend tried Korean barbecue chicken sandwich with their truffle fries. For our dessert we had their peanut butter mocha which was delicious.
Clarissa M — Google review
Phenomenal food. I had the chicken curry and my wife had the bison and wild rice polenta. Both dishes were gluten free. Great list of coffee and teas. The wine pairings were spot on. Cannot wait to go back again.

Nestled in the heart of Duluth, Uncle Loui's Cafe is a vibrant breakfast and lunch spot that serves up delicious homestyle American fare. The cafe is known for its welcoming atmosphere and mouthwatering dishes that evoke a sense of nostalgia and care. From delectable pancakes to hearty omelets and juicy burgers, this hidden gem offers an all-day breakfast menu with $9 and $10 specials, making it a favorite among locals and savvy tourists alike.
Uncle Loui’s has been on our “food list” for a couple of years now as we’re from the Twin Cities and was excited to finally cross it off the list. Loved this little spot - seat yourself as soon as you walk in, and there was a convenient 2-person booth at the front. Got served immediately with drinks, and food was incredibly fast and cooked to perfection. Great hearty breakfast - exactly what we wanted on our drive. Staff was so nice and efficient! Would come again 🤩
Regena Y — Google review
Ate here twice while vacationing in Duluth. I was very pleased with both of my meals. The biscuits and gravy I had the first day were amazing. Then I just had to come back to try the French toast. It did not disappoint! I got the stuffed French toast with strawberries, and it was amazing! I was also very impressed with the service. They were busy, yet I still got waited on and got my food rather quickly. If you’re in the Duluth area, I would highly recommend!
Tanner M — Google review
When my husband and I travel we always like to find little mom and pop shops and restaurants to go to. We were looking for somewhere to go for a lunch/brunch and this is where we ended up picking. It's a little confusing when you walk in and are told to seat yourself and don't understand that there is additional seating in the back past where the wait staff filled drinks and do the dishes. When we first walked in we were not greeted by anybody and we had two or three staff that walked by us when we were sitting at the table before anybody brought anything or explained to us how the ordering would work. We weren't sure because there was no menus anywhere and nobody was coming to our table. We ended up ordering the chicken fried steak which was very good and the hash browns and the eggs were all cooked perfectly. We didn't care for the pancake. There was something that was added to it and we couldn't figure out what it was exactly and we were thinking maybe cinnamon but the texture of the pancake was also very off-putting. If we're in Duluth, we would give it a try again to try something different on the menu. I would just maybe recommend explaining to people how it works with your seating and make sure that people are being greeted by staff. There was staff that was sitting down at tables talking to people that were in there and goofing around and I feel like if they maybe put a little more work into waiting on tables of their customers instead of casino with the people that they know people were probably feel more welcome.
Jami T — Google review
Great breakfast and service. The place is tiny but they got us in and served efficiently. The homemade cinnamon on the French toast was yum! Good biscuits and gravy and breakfast potatoes. My hubby enjoyed the wide variety of hot sauce on the table. We’ll be back in the future.
Roxanne M — Google review
Just a little spot in downtown Deluth Minnesota..... WOW! Not much of an outside, but don't let that fool ya. Fantastic pancakes and French toast. It's a very charming place that basically locals go. If you're in the area of Deluth, you have to stop here for breakfast.
I'm M — Google review
Breakfast and lunch served all day. We opted for breakfast. Portions are large and shareable. Ordered French toast which tasted like a bread shaped oversized pancake which wasn’t what I was expecting or liked. The cinnamon and berry syrups were good. The diner is decorated with interesting local sports memorabilia and is a favorite spot for locals.
Suzanne D — Google review
Great breakfast at Uncle Louie's. The coffee was hot and delicious, and breakfast was served fast. I ordered 2 eggs scrambled with bacon, potatoes, and a slice of French toast. Hubby ordered 3 eggs overeasy, a sausage patty, hashbrowns, and a slice of French toast. I put the homemade cinnamon syrup on my toast, and hubby did the blueberry. Everything was cooked to our liking and really liked the French Toast.
Teresa P — Google review
Fast paced diner. Good food. Quick service. It's a little chaotic since it's a small space and is so popular. Not somewhere I'd try to come with a large party. They'll put extra chairs on the ends of tables, making it even more cramped in there. Really good if you're looking for this type of seat yourself diner atmosphere.

Bridgeman's in Duluth, MN is a beloved local spot with a vintage charm, serving up classic diner fare and creative ice cream. Established in 1883, it has a rich history dating back to Henry Bridgeman's dairy company. The restaurant offers an all-day breakfast menu featuring favorites like omelets, waffles, and their signature Skizzles – hashbrowns topped with various breakfast ingredients.
A retro modern local dinner with amazing food and treats! Especially loved the cinnamon roll pancakes and fun mega malts! If you love their ice cream you’ll love their food too!
Brent H — Google review
It was 3:30pm on avSunday and we were starving when we found ourselves in the parking lot of Bridgeman's. It was perfect for our first visit as there was no wait and we were quickly ushered to a table. It was a tight fit for my wheelchair, but everyone was very accommodating. Service was exceptional. Most of the servers were young, college age and really went above and beyond for the diners. I ordered the Reuban with a side salad. The side salad was excellent. The Reuben was good, but not anything special. My husband ordered the Greek Omlet which was outstanding and a huge plate of food. We also enjoyed a side order of onion rings which were thick and delicious and a large size, perfect for sharing. The entrance to the restaurant is tight for wheelchairs to maneuver, you definitely need assistance with the doors to get in and out. Love the little merchandise corner up front featuring local goodies. We can't wait to go again and try something new.
Jo J — Google review
What a (re)find! We had a Bridgeman's in Brooklyn Center for years and were frequent customers. When they closed, there were none in the area. Fast forward 40 years and to our extreme delight, we found one listed in Duluth! Since we go Lake Superior every year for my Mom's birthday, we decided to give this restaurant a go. It was AMAZING! The service was spectacular, the ambiance was delightful, the food was DELICIOUS ,and you can't beat a cherry nut ice cream cone! Can't wait for our next visit!
Kristin T — Google review
I tried the “Greek” omelette. It was very good. Large enough for 2 people. The service was excellent and fast. I arrived at 7:55 on a Saturday and there was a line outside waiting. But none the less the staff inside were prepared and efficient. Well worth the trip.

Super great spot for breakfast! I got the Mall Bridgeman’s breakfast. Service was fast and friendly and their homemade strawberry jam is delicious. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a good place to eat.
Hannah M — Google review
We've been coming here for years and make it a point to stop in every time we're in Duluth. The food is always good, the service is always nice and who doesn't like ice cream after breakfast? I was surprised that they're closed on Sundays now when we came up last time, so we had to find another breakfast spot. But we made sure to stop in on Saturday this time around. The prices have gone up like almost all restaurants, but thankfully the food and service has stayed good. It does get very busy and cramped on weekends, which some people don't like, but I look at that as it's popular for a reason.
Cody T — Google review
A local favorite of ours when we come to Duluth. We always go for the breakfast anytime of day! He got the Ron Swanson and I the Tizzel Sizzel. 10/10 staff is always great and the ambiance is like a vintage diner. The food is always good. Love love love the fresh strawberry jam. We tried the smores malt today and it was so good as well.
Samanthia W — Google review
Was not expecting it to be as busy as it was for a Monday at noon but we were seated pretty fast the food was amazing! My husband ordered the breakfast Burrito not expecting to be pretty spicy so just a heads up if your order that. It also comes with avocado on top. It smelled amazing though. I ordered the Greek skillet which was 😙🤌 chefs kiss! As busy as it was I was surprised at the fact that our waiter was able to check in on us multiple times. We mostly went to see if they had the lalapalooza icecream boat challenge, but they don't do it anymore sadly. They did have some pretty incredible looking milkshakes for approximately 16$ each. Gonna definitely have to come to give those a try. Added pictures of them to see.

Tucked away at 1336 W Arrowhead Rd in Duluth, MN, Perk Place Coffeehouse is a delightful family-owned establishment that radiates warmth and charm. As you step inside, the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee from Duluth Coffee Co. envelops you, creating an ideal atmosphere for a relaxing afternoon or a productive work session. This cozy haven offers an all-day breakfast menu featuring fluffy pancakes and hearty sandwiches alongside a full espresso bar and refreshing fruit smoothies.
A very nice place took my mom there. She lives nearby. Good variety, coffee the egg bakes are wonderful nice service and timely
Jim M — Google review
This is a hidden gem in the Kenwood Shopping Center! Perk Place has a very unassuming appearance from the outside, but once you open the door you're greeted with a waft of baked goods, the aroma of coffee and people enjoying each other's company. There is a fireplace in the front, but sadly it was not operating eventhough it was -4° outside. The interior has muted lighting and colors and a good amount of tables to enjoy the fare. This is definitely a gathering spot for people, they stay awhile. We ordered a Lighthouse Latte which was the BEST coffee I've ever had, and I've had coffee in Europe. The Ham, cheese and bacon panini was over-priced in my opinion for what you get, but it was very good. We also had the grilled cheese and tomato soup, which was a small serving for the price. The soup however was fantastic! Lots of herbs and cream and it tasted homemade. The grilled cheese was just ok. The cookies and cream Frappuccino was excellent. Service was fast and courteous and there was plenty of room between the tables for my wheelchair. This is the kind of place you want to come back to and try everything on the menu. We can't wait to go back and try some of the baked goods.

I like coming here for coffee and they do know how to make espresso drinks very well. I like supporting a local business too. But this is probably the third time that I was very disappointed with the food, so I just won’t eat here anymore. The $10 tuna sandwich was sad and pathetic. Hardly any tuna, no lettuce or tomato, and tasted like cheap supermarket bread. Looked like something from a gas station.
Wendy S — Google review
I was really disappointed with my order. I came in expecting a fresh fruit smoothie, but what I got was more like a milkshake with fruit, and it didn’t taste good at all. It wasn’t what I thought I was paying for, and I hate wasting food, but even after offering it to friends, nobody could drink it. On top of that, the sandwich was dry and had a freezer-burnt taste. Overall, the experience was frustrating, and I won’t be coming back. Honestly, you’d be better off grabbing something from Starbucks or even McDonald’s
Mehyar A — Google review
I had quite a bit of a time before we were waited on. Coffee was very nice, legit. Husband got the egg, bake said it was absolutely fabulous. Sausage was okay... I got the egg sandwich and it was quite tasty. It says it's a croissant, but it doesn't taste or look like a croissant, for 1 thung it is square. It's more like a laminated bun of some sort, but it was really good.
Debbie P — Google review
Nice classic coffee shop in a strip mall. Good espresso drinks, tasty food, easy parking. Strip mall coffee shops never look like much from the outside and this one’s wrapper is no different. But PPV is worth going to. A good place to get coffee and a good place to hang out.

Perk Place has good coffee for all their drinks, except the cold press. Not my favorite flavor profile straight black. They use Duluth Coffee Co roasted coffee for their drinks. Atmosphere is decent, but not really memorable, just cafe. I think some of the food is pretty good, but some of it it a tad salty for me. I think that's just a personal taste thing, so try it for yourself. I do really like their curry chicken sandwich. It's on point flavor wise. If you need a quick cup before you get on your way, the wait, even when busy, is short. Great espresso and latte's!

Cute interior with open concept. Coffee is good but very unhappy with the microwaved convenience store breakfast sandwich. Didn't see how these were made until I already started eating. Will not come here for food but will for coffee.

Cafe
Amity Coffee, located in Duluth's Lakeside neighborhood, has been a beloved spot since its opening in 2014. This cozy and welcoming coffee shop offers a selection of locally roasted coffees from various companies, including Duluth Coffee Roasters and Fika Coffee. The classic small-town coffee shop vibes are enhanced by earthy colors, numerous plants, and a colorful chalkboard menu. In addition to great coffee and pastries, Amity also serves a quality lunch menu.
Good local coffee shop on the east side of Duluth. Strangely, I think this is the only coffee shop down on this end of town. Glad it’s there and that they have tasty coffee. It is a pleasant, smaller shop, with a good “vibe” that goes between being quiet and very full. Parking is on Superior street, which can get a little full with all the other adjacent businesses. Tasty treats, some food, good coffee (from Duluth Coffee) Highly recommended.

Fun atmosphere, but got an iced chai latte and it was pretty bad. There was no “tea” element… just iced milk with a little cinnamon. Very disappointing. My husband got a peach shake and it was alright.

High quality espresso, properly pulled, and a great atmosphere along with it. The barista‘s were patient and kind. Excited for my next trip to Duluth so I can stop in again!

This spot became my new favorite when visiting Duluth. The coffee was so good. My wife and I purchased a classic caramel latte and the fall season special, the cinnamon apple latte. The flavors were incredibly balanced and tasted like it was made in shoppe, which they are. The next day we came in and tried their pumpkin spice latte, I am not going to lie, the best PSL we've ever had. The baristas were super helpful and friendly, it created a great atmosphere. This will be a staple for us from now on.

If you follow me, you know that I go to a locally owned coffee shop anytime I travel. I have been to coffee shops all across the US and this one in East Duluth ranks up there with the best. I got a dirty chi and it was fantastic. The place itself is small but unique and respects all who come.

Such a great spot with great vibes. The baked goods are always delicious and the iced latte was perfect. Easy choice to kick back and get some work done mid week. Be aware it’s a small space however, and seating can be scarce.

Nestled in the charming Lincoln Park Craft District of Duluth, Dovetail Cafe & Marketplace is a warm and inviting space that offers a delightful blend of artisanal food, coffee, and beer. As part of the Duluth Folk School, this cafe aims to foster connections within the community through various weekly events such as Cribbage Night and Open Mic sessions.
The quiche was amazing! I've only had quiche once before, but this blew me away with how good it was. And the side salad that comes with it has such a good dressing that pairs perfectly with the quiche to balance the meal out. I got the meat quiche which was perfect, my partner got the veggie one, and although still good it wasn't as good as the meat one in my opinion, it may have needed more salt or something. I had a dirty chai here and it was one of the best I've ever had, they've got some really good espresso. Service was by no means bad, it just wasn't the friendliest, great food and drinks though

Great food, very cool and laid back atmosphere. You order, pick a seat and they bring you the food and you bus the dishes. There's so much to look at and explore. The staff are very kind. The drinks are delicious, we ordered mocha and an iced chocolate Chai latte. They are spendy but it's all local and natural ingredients and a small business so it is worth it!

Very good and fast service for a busy Sunday morning. The man who helped us (possibly the owner?) was exceptionally kind and it really brightened our morning 😊 I got the vegan Valhalla and it was very good! My only complaint would be that it was a little cold but I didn't mind. The sauce and tofu were great! I also got a iced latte with raspberry syrup and oat milk that was incredible. The building itself is very charming with a lot of other products you can buy. The sense of community in the space is very nice.

Interesting place for sure. The food and the coffee were delicious. Took a bit for us to get our food but nothing terrible. Atmosphere is a mixed bag. Very interesting decor and what not due to the fact that the place doubles as some sort of school but the seating is tough because people just seem to sit anywhere, like a single taking up a table that could fit 5-6, etc.

Lovely cafe with delicious handcrafted beverages and an unforgettable, duluth-vibed atmosphere. Calling all chai lovers! This is YOUR coffee shop stop. Best chai I've ever had, the mix of spices was truly unique and warming.

I love this place. Everyone is so kind, the manager always says hello, and the coffee is always good. If you're hungry you'll also enjoy a great meal as well. Of all places in Duluth, this is one of the main places I've been to that actually feels like a community. Events, learning, and conversations happen here.

Bakery

Duluth's Best Bread is a local gem and a haven for bread enthusiasts. The almond croissant and flax bread are particularly beloved, with the almond croissant being a popular choice that often gets devoured on the way home due to its irresistible combination of crunch and creamy filling. The bakery offers a rotating daily menu featuring sandwiches, sweets, and other specials made with their delectable croissants. Customers can enjoy curbside pickup from their makeshift drive-through window during the week.
We stopped here for a coffee and pastry before a day of exploring the city. My oat milk cappuccino was good and so was my chocolate croissant. My dad loved his caramel roll and we got a couple loaves of bread to bring home. They don't have the best tea selections, but they do have local kombucha.
Lindsey H — Google review
We stopped in there during Duluth days to grab our son a pop tart. We got the flavor of the day and one for each of us. We let the employee know that we were taking it home for breakfast with our son and she gave us a nice to go container instead of a bag, to keep them fresh. She was very nice!! I forgot her name. The next morning we warmed up and ate our pop tarts and while they were very good, I wasn't super impressed. There was very little filling and it mostly tasted like a buttery flaky crust with lines of sweet frosting. I didn't feel the frosting and filling complimented each other at all. I appreciate the work that goes into these poptarts and they taste good. I just don't think I would pay $5.50 for one again.

Omigosh! The sourdough bread is so good. Has that tangy sourdough flavor you love! I bought 4 different flavored loaves to freeze and use. We also bought coffee and a scone. It was huge-one was plenty for two.

The almond croissant was good with almond filling inside. The pretzel and cheese was tasty. The spiced pear macaroon was the best thing we had. It was totally scrumptious!!! We had to pay to park on the street just to run in.

Stopped here while in Duluth! When my carb loving self saw Duluth’s Best Bread I came running! And so glad I did, the bakery’s items just melted in my mouth. Employee and I exchanged miscommunication on my order and when I went right back in they gave me my correct items at not cost. Definitely the type of atmosphere you want to feel when visiting a location. Beautiful people in a beautiful place 💗

I am a pastry and bread fanatic, and this place did not disappoint! They had everything from loaves of bread to muffins to pretzels to cookies. I was so impressed with the vast array of options they had. I loved that they served coffee as well. Want a flaky pastry and a local coffee? This is the place to go! The staff member helping us was chatty and made us feel welcomed right away.

Visiting from South Dakota - went on a Saturday morning after enjoying hilarious social media posts for years! The staff was Super friendly and fast! There was a constant flow of customers but No wait! The atmosphere was so cozy and cool in the old downtown building and the food was delicious! We had the pecan caramel rolls and Duluth latte, and bought additional treats and Rosemary sour dough bread to go. I can't wait to visit again!!

Pastries were ok. I felt like they could have baked a little longer or something. The chocolate croissants felt dense on the bottom and very greasy from the butter. Either the lamination went wrong or in the bake and the layers seemed off. Most of it was just all right. I wasn’t blown away. But love that they started small and have multiple locations.

If you find yourself in downtown Duluth, make sure to stop by the Kitchen & Bar at Duluth Coffee Company. This delightful spot offers a fantastic blend of their famous coffee and a mouthwatering breakfast menu that emphasizes farm-to-table ingredients. You can indulge in dishes like the hearty Harvest Hash, decadent loaded French Toast, or even a flavorful Bahn Mi sandwich. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with many locals frequenting this gem.
Excellent farm to table. Our waitress was excellent despite her T-shirt describing herself as not like other girls but worse. She was great. The bacon was excellent. The burrito was very large and filling. If you order the Cardamom French toast with mascarpone it is not sweet. It’s more savory. I was expecting it to be sweet and hello cardamom! We’d go again. It seemed like a lot of local regulars visit the place too. We were visiting Duluth for the weekend and the Duluth Grill had a 90 minute wait.

one of my favorite spots in Duluth! Had a mimosa and americano for drinks - both were great! Split two menu items the Roper breakfast sandwich and the breakfast burrito- I can’t choose a favorite both were delicious! The flavor in both was amazing! I am a big sauce girl so I enjoyed the pesto with the burrito and the Garlic aïoli sauce and bread on the Roper sandwich set this apart from just being another breakfast sandwich! Can’t recommend this place enough! Absolutely delicious! Went with a group for 7 adults and everyone LOVED their food, drinks, and the relaxed atmosphere! We had two toddlers with us along with and two babies and felt right at home in the relaxed quiet atmosphere!

We stopped in for breakfast on a holiday morning and were seated immediately. Coffee and tea were both great! We ordered the burrito and the breakfast sandwich, both of which came out quickly. Would recommend trying the hot sauce! Cute ambiance and you can access the cafe next door through the back hallway. Very reasonably priced and they use ingredients from local farmers.

Going here feels like a good friend invited me over for lunch and I discovered my good friend was an incredible host and a stellar cook. That’s the overall vibe. What an absolute delight. The layout of the space makes every table feel incredibly private. The space is inviting and comfortable, but understated and beautiful. The kind of space I want to spend all day in as the food and coffee keeps coming. It somehow promotes conversation with the privacy of the booths and the lack of excessive noise (music, kitchen, patrons — seemingly turned to a low lull). The food was exactly what I wanted in the moment — and it was delicious. My family and I had the vegetable hash (no egg or cheese for me in an attempt to veganize), the burrito, and the roper. 10/10 all around with flavor off the charts. I am already mentally building the list of friends and out-of-town guests I can bring here because it truly is the perfect spot, especially with its easy walk ability tight off the Lakewalk. Excited to go back asap.
Britt P — Google review
The food here is absolutely amazing, no complaints at all. But the coffee shop next door, which they also own, was a huge disappointment. The service wasn’t rude, but the coffee itself was just bad/weak, bitter, and not worth the price. Honestly, I’d come back for the food anytime, but I’ll be getting my coffee somewhere else.

If I could give Kitchen & Bar at Duluth Coffee Company 10 stars I would! It was absolutely fabulous!! We just left there a few minutes ago and I'm putting off my sightseeing until I tell everyone who is smart enough to check out this establishment in review...stop scrolling, just go and have breakfast/brunch here!!! My husband and I share breakfast. The two dishes we ordered were an egg, bacon and toast plate ala carte. The bacon is thick sliced and perfectly cooked, the toast is house made wheat sourdough, and the eggs...well eggs are eggs, but these were prepared just right as ordered. But the star of the show is the Trail SHT. It is hands down the best yogurt and granola preparation we've ever tasted: salted maple granola, seasonal fruit compote, lemon zested Greek yogurt and a drizzled local maple syrup. Of course we asked if we could purchase some to take home. Alas, no they don't have a large enough operation to produce take home bags. Duluth is too cold in the winter for me to consider relocating here, but know this...I would highly consider it after tasting this dish! The atmosphere at Kitchen & Bar is really bright and clean and enjoyable. There is outside seating. The staff is excellent and took really good care of us. I'm happy to pass this information along to others who visit Duluth. Now, take my advice! You'll be glad you did!

New London Café is a charming neighborhood spot in Duluth, MN that has been serving up delicious American comfort food since 2004. This family-oriented restaurant offers a diverse breakfast menu with options like pancakes, omelets, and their famous cinnamon rolls. The cafe exudes a down-to-earth vibe and is known for its homestyle breakfast dishes that have made it a staple in the area since 1979.
Do yourself a favor and come here for the croissant breakfast sandwich. It was incredible and had pesto and so many goodies on it and came with probably the best breakfast potatoes I’ve ever had. They had melted cheese and onion on them and they were incredible. It’s a cute little place in Duluth and we sat at the bar area so we didn’t have a wait on a Sunday morning. Great service and street parking out front. Will be dreaming of the croissant breakfast sandwich and crispy potatoes.
Kailee C — Google review
I understand that places get busy, and that getting customers their meals means making money a business needs to survive. What I don't get is undercutting (hopefully) a high standard of product when busy in order to move people through. There was a wait as could be expected on a gorgeous day, and yet the service, while good, was very brisk. If you can't afford to hire enough servers for a busy weekend perhaps don't offer so many seats. This was fine, as I know how it feels to be overwhelmed with customers. And yet to be out of milk and creamer, yet not provide any disclaimer and still run as a full service brunch spot felt disingenuous and honestly a bit rude. Anyway, I ordered eggs Benedict with moderate expectations. The hollandaise was solid but the english muffins were damp and soggy and thoroughly unpleasant. The breakfast potatoes were not entirely cooked, which made the American cheese (a boon in most situations) stand out that much more. Please take your time to make the food good, and learn how to say no or wait so that you can provide your best. I know you can do it buddy, you're so close!
Sean L — Google review
The food's pretty good. We ordered the French toast fitters & veggie omelette. The omelette taste really healthy, and the potatoes & mushroom taste especially good. The egg is okay, rather lukewarm. The French toast supposed to come with eggs any style, but apparently you can't get it in omelette form or it will cost you extra. I'm hoping there will be more options like turkey bacon or turkey links, or maybe even smoked salmon for the non pork eater.
Virana K — Google review
I have loved New London Cafe for a long time, and the food recently has been sub par. For the price I pay to get a tasty, consistent breakfast, this is not it. The past few times I've gotten the eggs benny (dine in or takeout) has been completely split bernaise on my eggs benny & overcooked eggs. P.S. removing the croissant from the menu was not a smart move, the ciabatta bun was not good compared to the croissant. It's just a shame because I used to love this place and would go out of my way to bring friends/family for yummy breakfast.
Anna E — Google review
Yum! Good prices and portions. Love the platters with tasty pancakes or the fritter french toast. Food was fresh and my whole family commented on it. Homemade jam was the right amount of sweet. Cute atmosphere. Friendly staff. Only drawback is street parking and it’s such a small restaurant that there could be a wait when it’s busy although we got right in.
Roxanne M — Google review
I've loved New London Cafe since they opened. I always come here whenever I'm back in town visiting family. Since being taken over by new ownership, they kept my favorites & I was pleasantly surprised to see they've added on some new menu items which I was excited to try. I have to say though, I was unfortunately not impressed with the hot honey chicken and waffles. The pieces of chicken were very small and I love crispy chicken but they were more crisp, not much chicken. The flavor of the waffle could have been better as well. The best way to describe it was like a marshmallow without the sweet. HOWEVER, my visit was NOT a disappointment. I ordered one slice of the Cinnamon fritter French toast (which has always been a favorite) and the sausage which is the best around! My friend got the breakfast burrito and it was fire! They've also revamped the seating with heavy wooden tables and chairs which modernizes the cafe a little and warms it up a bit. I like the changes and maybe I'll try something else when I come back next time but I will ALWAYS get at least one slice of the cinnamon fritter french toast and the sausage.

We were in Duluth and a friend met us here for breakfast. This a cute little restaurant nestled off the beaten path. We walked in and were greeted immediately. We waited for a short time for a table. Our server was Alyvia. She took our order and we asked specifically for no green onions. We shared the Hot honey chicken and waffles this is Belgian waffles and seasoned crispy fried chicken drizzled with a chili pepper infused honey. It was good. It definitely needed more hot honey. This came covered in green onions which we ended up picking off. The waffle was delicious with a slight vanilla taste. Chicken was good well with a nice crunch. Overall it lacked that hot honey flavor. The side was their New London potatoes. They were good lacked a little seasoning. We also shared the Eggs Benedict this is two eggs any style served on a toasted English muffin and slices of bacon then covered with a rich hollandaise sauce. The bacon was AMAZING! this is a good version of your standard eggs Benedict. The side was hash browns which were cooked perfectly with a great crunch. Just lacked seasoning. Our friend had the breakfast burrito. This is two scrambled eggs, shredded cheddar, applewood bacon, potatoes, pinto beans, avocado, and salsa on the side. Large burrito with good flavor. Overall a good little restaurant. There are some things on the lunch menu will come back to try. We did have to go find our own silverware, but our server said she was new and we were okay with the hiccups. She was fun with a great personality.

This's always been one of our fav breakfast place. The food standard is well kept even after Covid with all the supply chain issues and inflation, they managed to make the price relatively reasonable and even with the new menu, it has never disappointed us. Service could be nicer, but everything else have always been great! Love the Chicken & Waffles the most!

After exploring the Lakefront and various shops, I was so excited to get a coffee. There wasn’t a long wait, the staff was friendly and fast, and the building was beautiful. I forgot a pup cup for my dog and they were so kind to make one for me when I came back in. There was a lot of seating outside for us to enjoy the weather. One thing I always enjoy while visiting different Caribous, is the unique touches to each one. This one has gorgeous brickwork visible inside and outside. My Chai tea tasted sour and smelled terrible. I got a refund but the girl on the phone didn't even care for me to explain what was wrong wth the drink. She just kept saying I am sorry you dont like it. Its not that I dont like it something in my drink was bad it smelled and taste like vinegar/sour milk. It almost tasted like apple cider. It was nasty. I left it in my car while I was hiking and it smelt worse while it sat. I dont suggest this place one bit.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!!! Kids would rather laugh with coworkers than make drinks. Ordered online and watched person after person order and get their drinks and leave. When I asked they finally made the drink saying "online orders all wait for the people in store". Since when??? This was in between talking to off duty coworker about her nails and enjoying the time. Been here 100s of times and ill never go back. And I work in Canal.

Absolutely disgusting service. And trashy attire. Worker was touching her legs and face and putting her hands in people's drinks. She was also using extremely nasty towel to wipe spills. Visitors can enjoy a delightful selection of food items such as ham and swiss croissants and wild rice cranberry turkey sandwiches. The nitro cold brew Nirvana drink is highly recommended for its strong, sweet, and creamy flavor.
What a fun coffee shop! The place is adorable with a log cabin setting. I had the ham and swiss croissant. I was expecting a small one like you see in the bigger coffee shops. It was huge and was so good. They made it on-site it was not pre made. I had to take a picture of the oh so cute mirror in the bathroom. There is an upper level with seating as well as the main floor. I sat on the porch and looked at Lake Superior. Loved it!

A regular dark roast coffee, which was okay, and the smallest bitty piece of "coffee cake" for 8 bucks. Holy cow...I know I'm getting old but dang that seems like a lot of money. The people there are awesome... early 2000's hip hop on the radio, super helpful, good stuff! Would stop by again for a coffee maybe if it's on my way to and from life...skip the other stuff.

Spent EIGHTEEN dollars on these two drinks. Talk about buyers remorse when the blended drink is made horribly and so bland! Should have blended up ice and water at home for free! The lady that worked the drive-through window this morning seemed clueless and was not very friendly! I asked If they had some way to get rewards, and all she said was yes. Not giving me any more information on their reward system. Needless to say, I will not be back.

Bought two coffees and two sandwiches. Cashier was great, however the barista, was absolutely awful and rude. A customer in front of me received two hot coffees when one should have been iced. She was very nice to the barista informing her of the mistake and the barista argued with her about it. Our coffee was done quickly and correctly. The sandwiches took over 30 min. The barista asked us if we were waiting for anything to which we replied our sandwiches but we already had our coffe and she said oh well that’s what I was asking about. They do not take names with orders so people grabbed our sandwiches and when we explained that to the staff the cashier immediately jumped back with one of the other employees to get our sandwiches re-made for us. The barista said “oh yeah that happens sometimes, it sucks.” Could not believe how rude she was.

Coziest Dunn Bros I’ve ever been to. Drinks are on par with what Dunn Bros makes, which is far better than the Caribou up the street. Plenty of seating in this log cabin shop and a fireplace for those cold Duluth days. Outdoor seating on the front patio is our favorite in which there’s a small view of Lake Superior off in the distance.

Positively 3rd Street Bakery, located in Duluth, is a popular spot for baked goods and has recently started offering free lunch packs for families in need. Due to the closure of some of their wholesale accounts like restaurants and coffee shops, the bakery's business has slowed down significantly. The storefront is open for pickup with limited capacity, ensuring only four people are allowed inside at a time.
Really enjoy having a bakery with lots of different options within walking distance. I usually get my favorite danish but I’m glad they rotate new items to try. Most items are vegetarian or vegan.

How could one give anything but five stars all around to this place! So many delightful options and all delicious! You can’t go wrong. The only drawback for this early worm is that it doesn’t open until 730, but you have to assume that the bakers are getting started early w/ these delectable treats and are getting them out as fast as they can.

The best bakery I have been to in a LONG TIME. Our family tradition when traveling to northern Mn (few times a year) is that we ALWAYS stop at a bakery at the half way point. Tobies was our entire family’s special tradition but they let us down to many times so we needed a new bakery and we found it !!! I will be taking my family here for years and years to come. The customer service was amazing, it’s a small worker owned business and the food/ desserts were to die for! We came at the end of the day so the employee even gave us free samples. I am so glad she did because everything we got was great but they blew me away by far!! It is the cinnamon and sugar croissant muffin pictured!! The flourless chocolate cake took me back to my childhood neighbors brownies that I have never been able to find anywhere or create but I finally got to taste something VERY similar and it was phenomenal. Everything was amazing and I WILL be taking another trip to Duluth soon just to get to taste these amazing treats again! This is our new family spot! Thank you, 3rd St bakery and staff!

The best bakery on the North Shore! My husband and I accidentally stumbled upon it during a visit to Duluth. They have a very nice selection of baked goods. We love their chocolate croissants, ginger cookies, blueberry muffins and scones. We make a point of stopping in every time we are in the area. It was so nice to find a high quality bakery in Duluth.

Awesome bakery. The blackbird and sourdough breads were delicious. Also the black bean brownie and ginger cookies are super tasty. Thanks for having awesome vegan options. We stopped in while traveling. We had to stop again on the way home for some treats to take back. We will be making this a regular stop when passing through Duluth.

Super cute worker owned bakery, specializing in chocolate (chock full of chocolaty filling), caramel croissants, flaky and buttery, lemon blueberry scones, cookies and artisan breads. 1st time here and we’re thrilled. Picked up bakery for our drive to Gooseberry Falls and then bike to and from Split Rock. Our reward for our work. Amazing treats and that bread, so delicious, red pepper and cheese with just the right spice. Highly recommend!

Positively Third Street Bakery is a hidden gem - it’s one of our favorite places to stop when we head up to Duluth. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. Our kids especially enjoy free cookie day on Sundays. We’ve tried the bread and a variety of pastries and cookies. All of it has been fantastic!

Great cookies!!!! Great granola! Get there early for the best selection of pastries. Yes they make great bread too! This place is a must stop on our way up the north shore.

Tucked away on Woodland Avenue in the charming city of Duluth, Vanilla Bean is a delightful spot that offers an unforgettable dining experience. This cozy eatery has quickly become a favorite for locals and visitors alike, known for its inviting atmosphere and delicious menu options. Whether you're stopping by for a leisurely brunch or a hearty breakfast, you'll find something to love here.
My lovey boo picked this place out, and we had a great time! I ordered a non-alcoholic bloody Mary and a red white and Berry decaf mocha. This isn't one of those places that just uses the bloody Mary mix and alcohol. They use garnish in their bloody Mary's, and it's wonderful! It's great to find a place that actually cares about bloody Marys! My sweetie got a black coffee and the food. I don't remember exactly what it was called, but my sweetie said it was great! Our service was good, and they were as fast as they could be. They have a shared bathroom situation with the rest of the building. The doors to the building or narrow, so I wouldn't call it wheelchair accessible to get in, but I think it would be easy to navigate once you got in. The entryway is fancy, but not one for mobility issues.

Very awesome restaurant! My mom and I went in there to try somewhere new and left very pleased! Our waitress, Shelby, was very kind and attentive. The food was phenomenal as well! I had the Denver omelet with home fries and an English muffin. Very filling and now I get to enjoy my leftovers later! Would definitely come back again!
Karli Y — Google review
This was my first time at Vanilla Bean in Duluth. My server Shelby recommended the Pesto Eggs Benedict which was phenomenal. The English Muffin almost had a biscuit quality which was great for me. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the potatoes were crispy and the Pesto Hollandaise offered a balanced flavor. If I were to offer a suggestion it would be to add freshly chopped basil as a garnish but the flavors were great. My server was prompt and had a positive attitude and even dropped off my bill shortly after I'd finished eating but mentioned "stay as long as you like!" which I appreciated because it was brunch service and she saw I was working. I will be back!

Loved this place. Had a nice breakfast before heading out to explore the northern parks. The bloody Mary was one of my favorites of all times! Thank you to the waitress that suggested there house garlic vodka, delicious 😋. Contrary to other reviews, there was no wait. Staff was friendly and helpful. I'd go back.
Jodi K — Google review
Our experience was poor to mediocre. I called ahead to see if we could be put on the waitlist (you can’t) & they told me there was a group currently there so the wait would be about 30 minutes. We got there about 20 minutes later & the group they were talking about was there (the group was 11 people) about half the dining room was completely empty. We waited 30 minutes & during this time they turned away multiple tables telling them it would be an hour wait bc of their 11 top. It’s a Sunday morning. They acted like this 11 top was the end of their world. They could have easily sat us & multiple other tables & gotten us drinks & mentioned there might be a wait for food bc they only had 2 cooks. Anyway, we order. The waitress handed us the wrong drinks & didn’t mention what they were called. The table next to us (also a table of 4) was sat a few minutes after us & got their food before us. We got our food & it was Luke warm. I had eggs Benedict & they did not even warm the English muffins much less put butter on them or grill or toast them. The bacon was deep fried to a crunchy crisp (I’m guessing bc of lack of time?). The waitress checked on us once and walked away before we could say anything about the food. She was not the waitress with the 11 top. We waited about 20 minutes for the check. Overall disappointing given the other reviews. The donuts were good 😊
Demigod A — Google review
Loved the atmosphere of this place, staff were friendly and service was prompt. They didn't have the item I desired the most but that's totally understandable since we were eating lunch there on a Saturday. Just means it's a well sought after dish that must be delightfully delicious! I ended up getting my 2nd option, the Castle Danger Hash with bacon which was incredibly tasty as well as filling. Our server was amazing, and everyone else in my family loved their meal choices. I will undoubtedly be back to get that Scandinavian Breakfast!
Chris M — Google review
We had a nice brunch. My young daughter enjoyed her giant pancake with the delicious vanilla butter. My adult son gobbled up his burger which looked juicy, and we both enjoyed a large bowl of chicken and wild rice soup. I would recommend for a good breakfast, brunch or lunch! The caramel rolls in the case looked amazing.
Nikki B — Google review
The food--Pesto Eggs Benedict with onions this time--was fantastic, the staff (both trainer and trainee) attentive and helpful and friendly. I love the high, spacious, clean booths. Really, the only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's just COLD in there. Bring an extra layer--a sweatshirt, flannel shirt, thermal, whatever you have.

We were at the Lakewalk surgery center and were presented with a wonderful menu and ordered delivery; the bread was made from scratch, had an amazing texture, and delicious. They also included some freebies of cookies and chips; we can't wait until our next visit! Highly recommend!

So many great things to say about Great Harvest! They have the best customer service in town, it always smells incredible, and the coffee is always hot and fresh and brewed perfectly. I don't eat there often, but when I have, everything has been spot on delish. They won't let you down and that's a fact. I wish more cafes and coffee shops in town had similar standards of excellence, especially on the service front. Thanks for being awesome!

One of my favorite places to get coffee and/or food… Will make baked goods to order - the half scones are a favorite to bring to family gatherings. The employees are kind and helpful, many recognizing regular customers by name. The one downside is the size of location - only so many people fit into the small storefront…

Very disappointing. GH has been an oasis of healthy options. We purchased a loaf of cinnamon chip bread, didn't read the ingredients because why would we, it's GH. "partially hydrogenated cottonseed and soybean oil." "soy lecithin" We can get this crap at grocery stores. Very disappointing. On the plus "unbromated" What's going on with y'all? This loaf went into the trash

This inviting café offers a warm and cozy atmosphere where patrons can unwind, catch up with friends, or tackle some work while sipping on their favorite beverages. Known for its signature roasts and an array of light bites like pastries and sandwiches, Starbucks ensures there's something for everyone. The friendly baristas add to the experience with their welcoming smiles and attentive service.
I drink coffee every day. I have about 10 different ways to make coffee at home. I stopped at Starbucks on Superior St., as I do weekly in Duluth. This was THE best coffee I have ever had. Mel made my coffee. She is a charming delight.

So glad my husband and I tipped $5 on two drinks, a breakfast sandwich, and my dry bagel to then be told I needed to get back in line and pay extra if I wanted anything to put on the bagel. Would literally prefer spending my time and money anywhere else and def plan to. Can we get our tip back while we’re at it?

This place is pretty depressing to be at during the "pandemic". Though they made my coffee quickly and were nice enough. The bathrooms were closed, which is unacceptable, and does not allow people to wash thier hands even if they are a paying customer. The coffee was lack luster at best, probably coming down to the way Starbucks roasts it's beans.

Excellent food, so tasty and fresh. We always stop here if we are anywhere close to Duluth. The Conchinita bowl is my favorite, Mexican coke is yum

Cool little spot to stop and get some really good food while out walking about. You order at the little building on the side, but there is outdoor and indoor seating. I had the chicken mole bowl, chorizo taco and birria taco. Everything was extremely quick to come out and very good. The tacos were the star of the show though. They were just phenomenal. Next time I'm in Duluth I will definitely be coming back for some tacos.
Kyle B — Google review
Review from a Mexican women who knows real Mexican flavors. The two white men in the food truck gave me some pause but once I received the food I was sold. I had the birria taco, the cochinita taco, and the beans and rice and I was impressed with the flavor depth of the tacos. I would pass on the beans and rice next time but only because it was undersalted. I added some birria broth and salsa and made it work for me.
Veronica M — Google review
This place was super awesome ! Friendly staff and the food was fresh and DELICIOUS. We got 2 birria tacos and a torta and split it between 2 people so our meal was only $24 ! We’re in Duluth during grandmas marathon weekend so we were worried about parking hut there is lots of accessible parking nearby. Affordable prices in an area where that is hard to find !! Do yourself a favor and check this place out !!

Awesome for someone with celiac. Food was fresh and had tons of flavor. It came out fast and was hot. We went twice in two days. Only thing is Mexican coke is online said the Carmel color could be derived from a gluten source so we did not drink it.

Food was great! Small taquaria with a few outdoor seats. I was pumped for the birria but the chorizo was the sleeper choice for vest taco. The tamale was decent, but not a traditional style. I'll definetly go back!

This charming ice cream parlor is a delightful oasis where you can savor an array of delicious flavors, including the highly recommended blueberry cheesecake swirl. The inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for a leisurely afternoon treat after a stroll along the scenic lake walk.
I personally think that this is an amazing place to stop by during a walk on the lake walk! it has many delicious ice cream Flavors to chose from (I recommend blubbery cheesecake swirl) and the workers are so nice. I would honestly chose Bridge mans over the Malt Shop because most of the items are cheaper and the Quality of ice cream is much better.

Duluth's Best Bread has expanded to three locations, offering a delightful selection of baked goods. Whether you're enjoying a morning treat with coffee or stocking up on bread for the week, this bakery has you covered. While they don't have a kitchen, they provide options from Sheltons Pizza and German Pretzels. Additionally, they allow customers to bring in food from other local eateries or arrange for delivery.
I am visiting Duluth for the first time and I am so happy some friends recommended this place! Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was chill and inviting. It was a beautiful day and they had the front area fully open which was wonderful.

Just want to give a huge shout out to Stacy, he was so helpful when we visited! We’re big fans of breakfast food, and had to make a reservation for a tour by 1:00, and our planned stop for breakfast was too busy. I had seen online that Duluth’s Best Bread was known for their croissants, a favorite food of mine, so they were a priority stop anyway. I was worried they were sold out, already bummed I didn’t get my most important meal of the day, so I called them to check. I explained I was a hangry New Jersian who just needed a buttery carb, please tell me yall got some of your famous croissants, and he cracked up. He said not to worry, they were stocked. When we showed up, he treated us to some extras, and we got a good laugh. Now again, as a breakfast snob and specifically a croissant aficionado, I was blown away. How they heck do yall get that much butter in there?? Delicious, flaky, like a hug from the inside. We also grabbed a cinnamon sugar homemade pop tart and that was great too. Had we more time, we probably would have asked for them to be toasted, which I can imagine would only make the 9.9/10 experience a 10/10. But truthfully, Stacy’s kindness and generosity was such a bright spot in a clearly hectic morning, and really kicked off our day in Duluth with joy. An absolute must go if you’re in Duluth!
Chelsea F — Google review
We ordered two savory pastries on a Saturday morning around 8 am and they were not good. They did not seem fresh at all and we decided to throw them away. We were here 3 years ago and had a wonderful experience. Not sure if it was different staff or an overall decline.
Rebekah J — Google review
There is line usually at the window but it is outside which is nice during these covid times.  Prices would say on par with other bakery's , maybe a smidge higher. Lots of macaroons choices , I bought some bread, croissant cinnamon buns and scones. The croissant was excellent and the bread smells amazing. They had a separate line for pre orders which I will do next time as faster and can just grab and go. Update 5/7/22. Went before they closed on sat and they were out of most things as go early to get the things you want. We got the macrons, pecan caramel roll, cinnamon roll, cranberry wild rice bread. My favorite was the wild rice bread and pecan caramel roll.
James E — Google review
I came here this morning and ordered a danish and a ham and cheese croissant, both of which were cold. I asked the cashier if he could warm it up and he placed the plastic to go container in the microwave…..it was only for a few seconds but our pastries were not hot AND now they were infused with microplastics. In addition, our maple latte did NOT have any maple in it, and wasn’t told to us. We only knew because we overheard the two boys working there that they couldn’t find the maple. They did not inform us at all, and still charged us for the specialty latte. We came to visit from Minneapolis and this was overall a terrible experience. My partner didn’t feel comfortable eating pastries that had been warmed in a plastic container in the MICROWAVE.
Stephanie L — Google review
Delicious bakery (a tiny hole in the wall) in the heart of Lincoln Park. The bread is baked perfectly and priced right but the prices are a bit high for the pastries and croissants. However once you bite into the divine tasting almond croissant, you forget all about the $4 price tag. Sweet, nutty, buttery, with a crunch--amazing. Several restaurants around town serve their cinnamon rolls and they also have a kiosk in the mall around the holidays.
Cassandra H — Google review
I couldn't wait until I took the pic! Chocolate Almond Croissant is amazing. Macarons are fresh & so flavorful. Staff are helpful & friendly! First visit & I will be back.

Great location on the edge of Lincoln Park. Park out front, walk up to the window and be prepared to be overwhelmed with wonderful bread smells. This is the Best Bread in Duluth, literally! Many types to choose from, Cranberry Wild Rice is my favorite, my wife loves the sunflower seed mix. Great price, super service and they will slice the bread if you want it. Hmm fresh bread, newly sliced, yup smells don't lie its The Best Bread in Duluth. Available also at St Luke's Cafeteria, Whole Foods Coop, and their Bakery off 27th West. Enjoy, oh did I mention the Pecan Carmel Rolls, croissant of all types and well you will just have to go to find the other goodies!

The Cozy Hen Cheesecakes is a delightful local spot known for its delectable cheesecakes. Customers rave about the flavorful and well-textured varieties in the sampler, each with a delicious crust that complements the cheesecake perfectly. The owner, Heather, goes above and beyond to accommodate orders and ensure customers have a fantastic experience.
They saved the day when I needed a birthday cheesecake at the very last minute due to the dog opening the refrigerator and helping himself to the one I had made the day before. They were not open yet so I sent an email and received both a call and text in response very fast. Amazing customer service and delicious cheesecake! She even threw in some chocolate fudge for free that I could use to customize it for my daughters birthday. Saved the day!!! Very highly recommend! Thank you so much

The Cozy Hen is a fantastic option for the Duluth area! We had them cater our wedding with their amazing cheesecakes. We also ordered another sampler for our 1 year anniversary trip back up to Duluth. We weren't going to make it up in time to pick up, so they delivered it to our hotel 🥰 Favorite flavors, caramel apple, turtle, and lemon!!

My favorite food is cheesecake and my husband surprised me on our 30th wedding Anniversary with one of these amazing cakes! It truly was the best cheesecake I have ever had!!! He got the sampler and every flavor was delicious. I have tried many, many cheesecakes and these were, by far the most flavorful with amazing texture. Also, I have never been fond of graham cracker crust. I feel like it competes with the flavor of the cheesecake. The crust on these all were awesome. They corresponded with each flavor. Even going as far as having a pastry on the eclair flavored cheesecake. You have to try this cheesecake!!!!

Nestled in the vibrant Lincoln Park District, 190 Coffee and Tea is a delightful gem that has quickly made its mark on Duluth's coffee scene since opening in 2021. Founded by local enthusiast Corey Roysdown, this charming café occupies a cozy spot within the Enger Lofts building, just across from Bent Paddle taproom. The interior boasts an inviting blend of exposed brick and hardwood accents, adorned with art from talented local artists.
190 is one of my favorite coffee shops in town for so many reasons! The staff is welcoming and fun, knowledgeable about coffee and takes their time explaining questions you have! The coffee itself is fabulous! If you enjoy cold brew, this is your place!!!! The atmosphere and aesthetic feels good too! It’s a great place to bring your laptop and work or meet up with a friend! I definitely recommend this to everyone!

190 Degrees is such a gem of a coffee shop. The space has amazing vibes: modern, full of plants, and flooded with light from big windows. They also feature lots of cute local items for sale, which adds to the charm. The coffee is excellent, especially with their house-made syrups, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. A spot that feels both stylish and inviting, definitely worth checking out.

This place exceeded my expectations! The employees es were so sweet and helpful - all of them went out of their way to recommend other local shops in the area when I was inquiring - when I first walked in, the vibes were incredible, beautifully designed and the spacing of the interior design was very welcoming! Thank you for a wonderful time!

I originally was headed to Duluth Folk School to get some work done for the day but they were closed at 3 pm, so me ending up at 190 was truly a happy accident, as Bob Ross says. Little did I know it would be such a delight! It was a perfect place to work and chill, with plenty of outlets, and places to sit to enjoy the vibes + beautiful summer weather with the windows open. Jake (a barista of 11 years, and it shows!) and Evan were an absolute treat to engage with and I throughly enjoyed my time there. The coffee wasn’t so bad either 😉

Wonderful coffee shop!!! This is my absolute FAVORITE cafe ANYWHERE! I live in the cities and I've made the 2-4 hour trip up here 4 times now just to come to this cafe and enjoy the scenery!! The drinks they offer here are super delicious, but the staff is the best part! They're so kind and fun! They have a social media account that they run where they post all of their community stuff and it seems so fun. I would absolutely love to be a regular here and will be once I move to Duluth in several years haha! This place is always so clean and aesthetically pleasing. Cozy and fun. Their garage door is open during warmer weather and its so nice. The cafe is located in a shopping strip so there are bathrooms right next to the cafe that are super clean and nice! I couldn't say enough good things about this place because of how great it is. My list goes on forever.

Nestled in the picturesque streets of Duluth, Minnesota, the Merryweather Inn Bed And Breakfast is a stunning upscale retreat housed in a magnificent 1904 Georgian Colonial Revival mansion. This charming B&B features seven elegantly appointed guest suites that promise a romantic getaway filled with history and sophistication. Guests can indulge in complimentary hot breakfasts each morning and unwind during delightful evening wine receptions.
The Merryweather Inn offers a lovely space to relax during your trip to Duluth. It was conveniently located to the destinations for my trip and I found the neighborhood to be quiet and safe. Checking in was simple and I appreciated how easy it was to come and go according to my schedule. On my first night there I had met Beth. I appreciated that she offered to help guide me to the room I would be staying in and checked to see if I needed anything. The rooms themselves are spacious. The Blue room had a comfortable bed, walk in closet, a living room space with a tv, along with a large bathroom. The place was found to be clean and comfortable. Plenty of charging ports accessible and conveniently located by the bed. WiFi worked well. During below freezing temperatures outdoors, I was glad that the rooms were well heated. The shower takes a few minutes to warm up as would be expected of any location during the extreme cold. I cannot comment on the breakfast as I personally did not opt in for that option. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again!

We had a beautiful stay, just one night. Super comfy room and bed, easy to find and very quiet. Had a little trouble getting wifi to work but Beth answered my text promptly to get it resolved. We did not do the breakfast so can't comment on that. Many interesting history items and pictures to look at. We highly recommend the Merryweather Inn. 👍

Clean & comfortable rooms. Friendly service that does not feel like they have to constantly check in with you, unlike some B&Bs. In a very quiet neighborhood. I stayed several days and was able to sleep with the window open and was never woken up by exterior noises. Within just a few minutes drive of many attractions & restaurants. Highly recommend if you want to stay someplace that isn't just a cookie cutter chain hotel.

We attended the New Year’s Eve celebration and had an amazing time! Merryweather is such a beautiful building and Beth is an outstanding host. Thank you so much for making our new year so special! We will definitely be back for more events and activities.

We enjoyed our stay at The Merryweather Inn! BEAUTIFUL and interesting house! Neighborhood was quiet, convenient, and safe! Our first breakfast was a lovely eggs dish with vegetables, fruit, cornbread, and some 5-star bacon! We dined alone that morning, and that gave us some time to visit with Beth! Day two was a small dish of dressed tomatoes and I believe cucumbers. I didn’t really care what it was because I enjoyed it and ate the entire bowl full. After that we enjoyed a delicious baked egg in cream sauce and cornbread. Outstanding!! Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Sure, the water took some time to get hot, but that is an old house for ya! I enjoyed having a TV in the room so we could watch a movie in the evening before bed. We would recommend the Merryweather Inn to a friend for sure and should we stay in Duluth again, we would stay there.

We had a short but lovely stay in the Bailey Olcott suite! The house itself is beautiful, and we enjoyed the library and music rooms very much. Our suite was clean and comfortable!

Wonderful little BnB. My husband and I stayed here for one night and it was the perfect place to rest. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Check in/out was easy. Great value compared to other options in the area. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in Duluth.

Beth was an absolute delight to work with. We came for an anniversary weekend and found all the comforts we needed. Breakfast each morning was delicious and fresh. The room was very quiet and self check in was very easy. We will stay again because we felt like old friends right at home. Also John is the sweetest and has great suggestions!
