Chick 'n' Sours is a modern twist on the classic combination of sour cocktails and fried chicken dishes. One of its standout offerings is the K-POP sandwich, featuring a crispy fried thigh with gochujang mayo, chili vinegar, sriracha sour cream, and spicy slaw. This establishment has been credited with introducing many to the concept of Korean fried chicken.
Recently visited Chick’n’Sours for the second time, and it was as good as I remembered. The chicken is just absolutely next level, some of the best I’ve ever eaten. To start we had some of their special wings which were Indian inspired. The light curry flavour worked so well with the curry sauce - I could have eaten about 100 of them. For main course I had the Seoul Destroyer burger, which had a Korean twist. The kimchi worked so well with the crisp chicken and the other delicious sauces - it is a top-tier burger. The sides were all great too, the cucumber salad was the highlight. The drinks were nice too, and the service was very friendly and efficient. The restaurants a bit of a tight squeeze, but it’s worth getting cozy for the chicken. I will definitely be back again to sample some more of their insanely good chicken wings!

Really enjoyed this place. Was looked after by Helen, Whitney, and Xavier who saw I was eating alone. No matter how good the food was (and it was excellent) they made my evening. Menu is extensive and really caters for people who want to challenge their taste buds. it's all about the taste. I ate downstairs and whilst not cramped was bijou. However, this magnified the ambience and the tables were out for a good night helped by the staff. Staff were young and trendy but also caring whilst being efficient. They wanted you to have a good time. I spent £19 on a beer and 6 chicken wings which anywhere other than Central London would be expensive. There, it's the price you pay and was no more expensive than anywhere else whist being far better than most other places. Place was clean as well as the facilities which are gender neutral. Would happily recommend.
Stuart B — Google review
Wings lack flavour, the only taste came from the korean and mayo sauce. They tasted of old chicked and didnt taste fresh. The chicken burgers had a good crunch but had no real flavour. Chips were ok. Service is good, complained about the wings and a new portion was given but still tasted very chicken-y. Average price £17 for one course meal and a drink or beer. Atmosphere was good, cool vibe and very busy.

Love the menu. There are many restaurants that does chicken wings and fried chicken. But Chicken n Sours is at another level. There is a good selection of chicken sandwiches. We were stuck at choosing … The sides are amazing. Love love the pickled watermelon salad. Refreshing and tangy. Perfect for hot sticky days. Beef dripping fries also good. My partner went for the K-pop sandwich and loved it. I had the House fried with the seaweed crust, super tasty. Chicken has a very nice crunch. Cocktails are great too! We were in a rush to the theatre and everything came out quickly. Staff very friendly. We sat outside. Can’t wait to come back for the wings. And the great sides. Great place for pre-theatre bite or any lazy weekends for some cocktails. It’s fun. 🤩

We chose this as a dinner spot for the break between the two Harry Potter performances. It is really convenient for the Palace Theatre. There are a few tables for 2 outside but the main tables are downstairs in a well air conditioned room. It isn't a huge restaurant and yes you are relatively close to one another but it isn't unpleasantly packed. Everyone including the other guests were very positive and up beat. The chicken was excellent. I had the General Burger and my daughter had the Buffalo Soldier. I would absolutely go again!
Pip B — Google review
We came here for dinner, there were only 3 small tables on ground level outside the shop and the rest of the seating are in the lower floor. We ordered the famous chicken toast which was so delicious. The chicken thighs burger had an amazing tase .we have order chicken pops( not sure about the name see the pics) and they were surprisingly yummy with all the flavours combined together! It was one of the best dinners i had in this area
Huda N — Google review
Trendy spot with the feel of a club but the heart and soul of a chicken shack. Coming right in the door you're in for a treat seeing the kitchen in action. It can get busy quite fast but the staff are equipped with handling a rush and making you feel right at home. Whether dining alone or with a group this is a place to begin a night out. The chicken sandwiches are packed full of flavor with great side dishes that stand right up there with the bird. You can order a whole fried chicken two days in advance. Whether you drink or not they have cocktails or local sodas that go well with the food. Overall, it's hard to go wrong with any order here.

Chick ‘N’ Collaborations are the BEST! There’s a lot of love in the room at Chick’N’Sours that I wanted to come back for not just one, but two of their recent collaborations. The Sambal Shiok burger was a cheeky drop the mic collab to start the year, with Mandy’s legendary Malay satay flavory. Featuring chicken breaded with satay spices, tomato Sambal, lime slaw to slam in some zing, before finishing with their classic peanut satay sauce. What a dream team and one I couldn’t resist complimenting with Chick’N’Sours famous chicken toast in tamarind chilli caramel and green slaw, that you can get all year at Covent Garden. Next up we had a night with Hash Hut. A really fun menu of hash potato winking with fond adoration towards chicken dressed up in crunchy bling, creatively coming together on our table. I feel flustered just thinking about it again! ‘Snacks’ which were very generous, included the likes of popcorn style bites of hash browns and fried chicken, with noodle crack and sriracha sour cream, hash rounds with chicken ragu and kimchi (a personal favourite) and stuffed chicken wings that looked like they could arm wrestle you. All delicious, before the drum roll sounded and hash stacks with sides landed on our table like a mythical city of gold. Gochujang slaw, Kung pao tenders, chilli and pickles were laid on stacks of hash browns, broken up with pickled watermelon and bang bang cucumbers. You couldn’t get a more imaginative serving, but with soft serve dessert, hash brown churros and miso caramel, the guys gave us an achingly good bigger smile. There was fab energy on the night with David and his lovely team at Chick’N’Sours being like sizzling chicken in the fryer to team up with wicked people making incredible food that don’t often get the recognition they deserve. It’s that kind of heart that reminds you why some places are a bucket of Hospitality you keep coming back to. Thanks guys!

Thunderbird Fried Chicken is a casual counter-serve spot with multiple locations, including Wimbledon, The O2, Clapham Junction, Charing Cross, Canary Wharf, and Westfield Stratford. The staff at Thunderbird Fried Chicken are known for their amazing service and efficiency. Customers have praised the friendly and helpful nature of the staff members. The food at Thunderbird Fried Chicken has also received high praise, particularly the chipuffalo wings that are recommended to be enjoyed with blue cheese sauce.
We order the chicken strips and burger (chicken strips on bun). The food was served hot and of great quality. We also felt it was a good amount of food for the value. There was a variety of drinks as well. I would go back. The staff was kind and helpful with my many questions.
Michelle — Google review
Thunderbird gives you the vibe that you’re about to try the best chicken wings ever since that’s their specialty 🍗🔥… but sadly the reality was different. The taste was pretty average, something you could find anywhere. The good part is their menu has some unique flavors I hadn’t seen before, and I did enjoy their sauces. Overall, I’d rate it 6/10

A couple of minutes wait for a seat and then we were away, with very delicious lunch. We considered this KFC but glammed up! Not cheap, but lovely variety of sauces, and tasty veg options. Worth the visit.
Emily X — Google review
We were there on Wednesday evening, convenient location and good choice of food, including vegetarian. An unpleasant surprise was the fact that the toilets for visitors (!) on the ground floor were closed, despite the signs to them. It seems like a lack of respect for the customer, to put it mildly
Irena I — Google review
Went for the 12 strip bucket deal on timeout for 50% off, it was good but I’m not sure if I’d pay the normal full price for these. The chicken strips were decently crispy, but quite plain tasting. It makes sense that you’re supposed to have them with sauces, but I didn’t enjoy these. The consistency of each sauce was way too runny and the flavour balance was off, especially with the overly vinegary chipuffalo sauce. Out of the three chosen, the hot honey tasted the best. You also get fries with this and these were hot and crispy, but could’ve been salted a bit more. I think there is more exciting chicken out there!
Jerry — Google review
As an American I was extremely scared to eat because everyone told me food in London was nasty, but definitely not this place. My food was good not necessarily flavorful but when you add sauce it made up for it. I can say I came here twice during my stay in London.
Kennedy S — Google review
Juicy chicken with a light, crispy breading. It’s so good I felt the need to share a review mid-bite and now my phone is all greasy. The chipuffalo sauce is so good, and awesome slaw lives up to its name!
Kassandra M — Google review
Amazing burgers, straps and wings. We randomly hit this place and wow we really loved the food here. We ordered Barbecue burger, Veggie thunderbern, sides, 6 wings, meltdown fries and meal comes with fruit shoot orange. Their Burgers were amazing. Chicken was succulent and juicy with delicious batterand dripping sauces. Even sides were quite tender and juicy. Lastly the wings, oh man, amazing wings and felt like fresh wings were fried and again sauces were addictive (we had tried Korean style barbecue wings) Orders were filled quite quickly. It's a self ordering system. One interesting things was their toilets are also access controlled through a pass code which you get from reception. Cost: A full on dinner for 4 costed ~54 pounds which is a bit pricey but worth it.

If you're on the hunt for mouthwatering fried chicken, look no further than Mother Clucker. This casual food truck has made a name for itself with its unique preparation method: tea-brined, buttermilk-soaked, and twice-battered to perfection. Originally serving from a converted Army ambulance at Truman Brewery, it now boasts a permanent presence in various London locations. The golden-fried chicken is not just crispy; it's bursting with flavor and tenderness that will leave you craving more.
Really lives up to the hype!! The chicken, the fries, the amazing sauces all over, everything was top shelf! Can't wait to try again
Muhammad H — Google review
Mother Clucker is a fried chicken joint with locations around central London. At Ely's Yard, it's a food truck. Londoners are a demanding bunch and almost everywhere you look, food trucks are trying to one-up each other with their own take on this street food favourite. But not Mother Clucker. These guys are taking it back to basics. It's a risky strategy, but one that's paid off in my opinion. You see, it's done well - very well. I ordered the ' Cluck Bun' and was impressed with the very generously sized chicken strips which were still juicy and perfectly seasoned in a secret blend of spices, tossed in hot sauce and drizzled over with lime mayo, and perched between 2 enriched brioche bun. Other things on the menu include chicken strips, Cajun fried, and a combo meal deal of the above plus a drink. If you don't like eating meats of the bone, you're in luck - Mother Clucker comes all boneless. The test was in the chicken and Mother Clucker has passed in my eyes. There's nothing revolutionary, but it's for those who appreciate fine fried chicken off the bone without any other gimmick. This is why It comes recommended from yours truly.
Kritt N — Google review
Mrs and I wanted to go to this place for a while now. Finally made the trip there. Nearest station is aldgate east via brick lane or Liverpool Street and walk for 10mins. Combo meal is £9, strips of chicken and cajun fries. £7 for burger. £6 for strips of chicken. The chicken was nice and juicy. You have a choice of pepper and light mayo sauces. Both are really nicely flavoured.
Tawfiq R — Google review
Mother Clucker is a food truck that does beautifully deep fried chicken tenders. They are soft, juicy and tender. The batter is light and crispy, not oily at all. I don't like my fried chicken burning hot when eating them so they were at the right eating temperature to enjoy all the flavour of the chicken. The same goes for the cajun fries. I would love to have a more vibrant flavour in the chicken batter. Otherwise, seriously good deep fried chicken strips They accept card payments too.
Ch W — Google review
Here’s a mad find: they do £3.25 Mini Deals for students. This place serves amazing chicken strips that are both delicious and well battered. The Cajun fries are absolutely bomb, and the sauces just make everything so sinfully good. Addicted to this spot
Rovik R — Google review
25% OFF FOR STUDENTS! Nice chicken. The fry is really good on the chicken and the meat is succulent underneath. Chips are quite good. Good food and good value if you're a student but not going to blow your mind.
Chili — Google review
This is the best place for fried chicken in all of England. PERIOD. This point is not up discussion. This chicken tastes like god himself put the seasoning on it. Soft. Crispy. Tender. And yet playfully spicy. The cajun they use is out of this world. Whenever I'm in London I swing by here for this amazing chicken. If you're in the area and even just remotely like chicken - this is place is a must.
V ( — Google review
Popped in here for some pre night out stomach lining!!! Chicken is freshly prepped on site which was a good sign. Had chicken and chips, must say was pleasantly surprised how good it was. The whole area around Truman brewery is really relaxed and a nice place to grab some food and a beer..

If you're on the hunt for a culinary gem in Chinatown, look no further than Good Friend Chicken. This vibrant eatery has taken TikTok by storm with its mouthwatering Taiwanese fried chicken, particularly their famous popcorn chicken. Originating from night market stalls in Taiwan during the late 1970s, this dish is a delightful twist on western-style nuggets, resulting in crispy boneless bites that are simply irresistible.
FAVORITE FRIED CHICKEN EVER ✨ it is my go to fried chicken place whenever I go to Chinatown and if you’re feeling adventurous you could try the Fried Chicken Gizzard! It had a chewy and crispy texture! I love it! Though there’s always a queue, I honestly never had to wait for more than 15minutes for my order so don’t worry if you see a huge crowd, it’s probably just a bunch of people waiting for their order. I thought the same too when I first went there! P.S. Fully halal with certification! ;)
Viga L — Google review
Not the biggest of shops but it was very busy inside and out and nonetheless and you can see why, they do all different types of chicken from a battered large chicken breast that has been flattened to popcorn chicken which seems to be the most popular. They fill up a small bag with a decent size portion of popcorn chicken and then have about eight different seasonings you can put on and then they shake it up in the bag and give you a long toothpick/fork to eat it with on the Go, tasted absolutely delicious.
Toby H — Google review
Finally tried the viral chicken popcorn from Ji Chicken and it genuinely lives up to the hype! The chicken was super crispy on the outside and juicy inside, cooked to perfection with that addictively crunchy texture. They’ve got loads of seasoning options to choose from, I went for the plum one and it was just right. The shop also serves loads of other chicken items and seafood along with wide variety of milk-teas and drinks, but I only tried the popcorn chicken this time. The place is quite small and always busy (which says a lot about how popular it is), so be ready to wait a little. The portion size is small to decent for £7, and yes, a bit pricey, but honestly the flavour, crunch, and freshness make it worth it. Definitely a must-try if you’re visiting Chinatown! I’m absolutely going back to try more next time!
Mariya W — Google review
Went here on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed. Tried the crispy chicken breast with plum salt and it was delicious. Tender and juicy, brought me back to my Taiwan trip. Gave it 4 stars because of the chaos inside, crowd management could be better. But still, I'd go back!
Maria C — Google review
Best fried chicken I’ve ever had! I tried it with the seaweed seasoning and it slapped! The portion was also decent for the price! I wish I could go back, this is definitely the first food spot I’d hit if I came to London.
Caro — Google review
Stopped by this spot in Chinatown after hearing so much about it. Tried the chicken escalope with garlic chilli. Thought £8 was a bit on the steep side at first, but didn't realise it came with two breasts so ended up being a pretty substantial snack. Freshly made to order and piping hot from the fryer, it really hit the spot.
Mr S — Google review
Half of our chicken was raw and we have been profusely vomiting since we bought it. I tried to call the restaurant about this but the phone number doesn’t work and they don’t seem to have an email available publicly. If anyone who works at the restaurant can provide me email that would be greatly appreciated.
Anouska S — Google review
Concerning food safety practice but tasty food. On arrival the shop was PACKED, queuing out the door. We ordered just some popcorn chicken to try with garlic flavouring and waited around 10 minutes. While waiting we noticed that there weren’t hot plates keeping the food warm, they were fried and left on the sides in large metal trays. There were raw ingredients and raw chicken in buckets next to the flour/batter station. We saw the cook pick chicken up, batter it, then fry it and rinse his hands with water. The floor was pretty dirty and there were ingredients everywhere. Luckily they were wearing hair nets and beard coverings, but still very concerning about the lack of refrigerated meat or ways to keep the food at a safe temperature. To be polite my partner tried a few pieces of the chicken, the flavour was amazing but the chicken wasn’t even hot, it was barely warm, so we decided to throw it away to avoid potential illness - a shame as they said how nice it tasted.

Coqfighter Soho is a popular burger joint offering a variety of chicken burgers and wings. The menu includes around 5-6 burger options, with the option of adding sides like loaded fries. While the atmosphere may not be exceptional, the staff are friendly and professional. Prices are reasonable, making it an affordable dining option in London. Customers praise the flavorful burgers and crispy, well-seasoned chicken pieces. The raspberry lemonade is recommended for its refreshing taste.
The staff were super friendly and polite, made me feel really welcome. The food was amazing😋😋😋😋seriously the best chicken sandwich I’ve had in London! The fries were also crazy good. Definitely coming back again!

A good for quick Korean style fast food. Decent fried chicken burger, fairly on the small side so get the sides in. Buffalo wings were pretty good. Quick service along with a draught lager to wash it all down.

I had an amazing experience at COQFIGHTER in Soho! The burgers were juicy and packed with flavor, the wings were perfectly crispy, and the fries were just right. Special shoutout to Asifa for the excellent service—friendly, attentive, and made the visit even better. Definitely a five-star spot for anyone craving great burgers and a welcoming atmosphere!
Ahmed A — Google review
The chicken ranch was tasty but under cooked in the middle - the ginger chicken sandwich was dry over cooked . The chicken tenders was yumm perfectly cooked and the loaded fries needed extra cheese. There was two ladies serving at seems they are overloaded the starter and the main arrived all together.

Such a beautiful place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our waitress, Evelina, was absolutely wonderful—so kind, attentive, and genuinely made us feel at home. She went above and beyond, which made the experience even more enjoyable 😊. The food was also very delicious, would recommend !!

Food is average — the Nashville burger was poor, sides slightly better. Service was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Atmosphere unremarkable.

Great fried chicken spot, the original fried sandwich was spot on, great flavours. Service was speedy and friendly considering how busy it was. Would definitely visit again.
Rebecca M — Google review
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in London, but this time I honestly don’t know what happened. The food was not fresh at all — the lettuce tasted spoiled, the bread wasn’t good, and everything was extremely greasy. The quality has really changed, and I’m honestly shocked. Yes, my review said it was one of the best restaurants when I posted the photos (a year ago, as you mentioned). I visited again this year, and the quality has changed a lot. I had to update my review, but I didn’t remove the photos because I remember my experience was really great at that time.

Butchies Victoria is a popular street-food stall turned restaurant known for its fast-fried chicken and delectable sandwiches. The friendly counter service and stylish decor at the restaurant elevate the dining experience. Their menu features dreamy buttermilk-fried sandwiches, bacon-stacked burgers with playful names, and moreish chicken strips served with house OG sauce. Customers rave about the perfect crunch of the chicken, impeccable taste, and fabulous sauces like melted cheese and barbecue.
Food was great. Chicken tenders were crispy and moist but could do with more seasoning - sauce is recommended (buffalo). Definitely get some pickles on the side if you’re a pickle fan. Shout out to Jude for his help.

They got my order wrong and charged me for the more expensive, incorrect meal. When I said the meal was wrong, she asked me if I was sure. Of course I’m sure! Then she swapped the food order for the correct meal but instead of giving me four tenders, she only gave me three. I feel like they weren’t cooked properly because the batter wasn’t crispy. I then realise that I’ve been overcharged for my correct order so then went back and they gave me a credit bowling all I found the experience and the food rubbish and I would not return. Oh, and don’t get the blue cheese sauce, it’s horrible.
Zoe L — Google review
Burger was bland, lacked any flavour even with the sauce. Needed lots of sauce in order to give it some flavour and you have to pay extra to get a side of sauce. The bun itself was burnt Was not freshly made, took them a few minutes to prepare and it came slightly warm Barely any pickles and the only thing that had any flavour Chips were good. Would not recommend this place, it is overpriced and is basically your Morley’s chicken strip burger…but worse and triple the price.

Mate, i really wanted some chicken wings with flavour. I ordered 9 pieces and could only conquer 4 and that was a push. They were very fresh and crispy wings, however the flavour profile was lacking. Organoleptically speaking, texture was good, aroma was good, appearance was good. Taste not so much. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on when in dire need of a few dirty wings. My pal ordered the tenders, these were okay i guess. Fries were okay but cold. You tell me am i wrong to live a holistic lifestyle enjoying a quality chicken wing? Absolutely not. Staff were friendly. Cheers guys cheers.

Went in on a whim, I work in the area and just decided to pop in. Decided to go for a simple OG burger and fries which came to about £12. Not bad tbh considering a KFC meal is now close to this sort of price point. I did enjoy both the burger and the fries. The burger was made of two big tenders which is my only criticism as a little hard to hold together but tasted good, the chicken tasted fresh and juicy, the chips are also well cooked not too dry not too soft just perfect. All in all my score is 4.5
Ashfaq A — Google review
Butchies used to be the GOAT but it’s gone massively downhill. The whole reason the tenders were so good is the size, 3 was more than enough for a solo meal. Look at the size of this little guy (see pic). This is not the quality you’d expect from butchies… 2 star. Very poor.
Jonny P — Google review
Really great service and lovely lady who served us gave us 3 free wings for reviewing the food. However, the chicken was so oily and the tenders smelled like burnt oil. The sauces were good (buffalo and gravy) and so were the chips, but the buffalo burger was lacking flavour and the pickles tasted just like cucumber, no pickley taste at all. Disappointed for a £30 meal.

Fast food restaurant
Chick King, a long-standing takeaway spot in Tottenham, has been delighting fried chicken enthusiasts since the 1980s. Renowned for its succulent and perfectly seasoned chicken, this eatery also offers generous portions that have kept regulars coming back for years. The old-school charm of the place and reasonable prices add to its appeal. Customers rave about the quick service and fresh, flavorful chicken and chips.
Best chicken shop in London - the food is beautiful! No other place comes close! Consistently yummy, quality chicken and chips, good portions and great customer service. Worth my money!

I wish I could give 0 starts!! I have ordered in on Uber eats , and binned everything i got. I ordered a burger and combo box which came with chicken and chips.. as soon as I opened a box it smelt horrible the meat was old or the oil was not changed regularly which ever it was, it still was very much sickening to the stomach! And the fact I had to throw everything in the bin made me super mad for such waste of my money! After complaining I received so money back but it’s not even about the money! You dare to call yourself a restaurant and serve people food that after makes them sick? Wow just close it down!

The King of Fried Chicken in Tottenham! 👑🍗 I came across Chick-King at the Vikings vs Browns football game and decided to give it a try after talking to some locals who swore it was the best fried chicken around. Now, being from the U.S. and loving some good fried chicken myself, I was skeptical — but wow, they weren’t lying! Before you even approach a great fried chicken spot, you should smell the goodness first — that mix of perfectly seasoned chicken, fresh oil, and some real TLC in the kitchen. Chick-King checked every box. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with those mouth-watering aromas, a spotless environment, friendly smiles, and service that made me feel right at home. The chicken came out hot, crispy, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. Every bite screamed fresh and flavorful. 🙌 If you’re anywhere near Tottenham, do yourself a favor — skip the big chains and head straight to Chick-King. This place is the real deal. 👑🔥🍗

A legacy institution. I was recommended the chicken pieces which is what they are famous for and they didn't disappoint. Some of the best drumsticks and thighs I've had. Crispy skin, juicy meat and not oily. Fried chicken generally doesn't tend to travel well so I understand not the best reviews from Uber Eats / Deliveroo. We went in and ordered and are a 7 min walk away. Food was piping hot when we got home. So definitely caters to locals and Tottenham stadium goers. Recommend to go in and stand and eat or if you're in the area.

Maybe I tried this place too late as I've been hearing endless positive comments about this place. Wings are not made in house, they are frozen wings, similar to what you get when you order from a pizza shop. Fries - they were good to be fair Chicken fillet burger - tasted good

Took my son here after a gig at the O2 after he tried to go to a Morley’s - and he had no regrets. The service was fast and friendly, the service swift and efficient - and the chicken wings? Outstanding. Way better than the more usual fast food places. He also some some cheesy tater tot style potatoes - amazing! So - well worth a visit!

I ordered the classic fried chicken burger for just u see £7 with no sides. The burger was decent, quite enjoyable but not really worth £7.. or £6.95. There was indoor and outdoor seating however the surfaces didn’t seem like they were being cleaned after every use.

Best place for chicken 🐔 burgers 🍔 full stop. Unfortunately it's not the nicest place to sit down and eat as they only have about 4 uncomfortable stools next to the window, if you can over look that then I would definitely recommend you try this place. Price is slightly high for a chicken burger and chips 🍟 but it's really nice and filling so can't complain too much. I will definitely return here one day. Very friendly staff and bathroom is ok too.

This is a tough one since, for all intensive purposes, this is one of the best fried chicken burgers I’ve had. Tender strips of crispy chicken with a delicious ranch sauce. The bun is top notch and the Cajun spiced chips are such a welcome addition. The problem is that it’s just so overpriced. £13 for a relatively small burger and fries...
Riki R — Google review
Super fast and friendly service. Easily the best chicken burger Ive ever had, fries were hot and fresh and well seasoned.

Live for this type of food now and again. Delivery could be better, sometimes cold chips and squashed burger but decent. 6/1/23: haven't been a while. Ordered dirty fries and got normal. They owe me £2.50!

If you’re like me, you’re confused by the mixed reviews. This place does solid comfort food with lots of flavour, satisfying your taste buds for value. Based on the high road so it’s very easy to find and it is buggy accessible unlike the other stores in this road. Lots of affordable deals going on, brightly lit, spacious and plenty of seating, on top of that they have a self service machine which I’ve never seen in other chicken and chip shops which showed me how modern they are. The chicken burger felt like the bun got much smaller but the taste was ok, however the wings and chips were below average as the wings were big but felt oily and didn’t taste like chicken and the chips didn’t taste legit it tasted and felt cheap. Not to mention the Ketchup being incredibly sweet. However the service was quick and the person behind the till did take cash. The store was busy with Deliveroo drivers. You won’t find anything with his pricing in this day and age but the quality wasn’t the bus.

Decided to eat here as I was in the area and recommended to try it. I’ve been here before but it was years ago and the food was good at the time. Unfortunately, one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in any chicken shop. All the unused tables were very dirty, with eaten chicken wastage left on the table, greasy oil, dirty issues etc. The customer service was absolutely disgusting!! I asked one of the staff members if they could clean the table and they just gave so much attitude, like they were doing me a favour. The ordering system is a joke. They have an electronic ordering system, which doesn’t work properly, so you have to constantly ask the staff to help. The worst part is, you have to order through the machine but have to pay at the counter, no logic whatsoever. Waited almost 20 mins for a chicken fillet burger meal. The burger itself was piping hot but the bun construction disintegrated upon picking up due to a really hot chicken fillet burger and cold bun. The price to quality ratio was poor. They lacked any sauces, presentation of the burger wasn’t the greatest. Also, what’s the point of being a chicken shop if you don’t even have sauces!!! The shop had air con but it wasn’t put on. Shop was baking, seating was poor. I’d recommended staying away from this place!
M A — Google review
DISGUSTING place. Firstly they got my order wrong then I found a DEAD COOKED FLY in my food. I felt so sick after seeing it I couldn’t even finish the rest of my food. The food as a whole is extremely mediocre, it’s not worth the money, please do not come here. Clearly this shop is very UNSANITARY as they don’t take precautions to make sure this stuff doesn’t happen as Ive seen in the other reviews here have gone through similar situations. I’m absolutely repulsed and will NOT be stepping foot in a store like this again. Please spread awareness 🙏

This is by far the worst experience i’ve ever had with ordering food, sent the wrong items and the sauce went all over the drink… on the receipt it CLEARLY says mirinda strawberry and burger sauce which you have to pay extra for but they sent me an off brand cola, ketchup and mayo?? can they not read english or are they just taking the absolute mick? also, look at how many fries they gave me! literally only 10 fries😂 how is this okay? fuming isn’t even the word, they have no respect for their customers and just send wrong items on purpose… never order from here if you know what’s good for you.

Terrible. I asked for 12 wings the somalian guy charged me £6.67. Another customer came and asked for 10 wings, he was charged £2.99 When I asked for my money back he didn’t give it. Terrible customer service skills - he wasn’t even looking at me while speaking. Wings were dry and cold - I wouldn’t even give it 1 star but thats the only choice

When I used to come to Ends Chicken and the old staff were here, everything was great — fast, accurate, and professional. But now, with the new staff, it’s a complete mess. They keep making mistakes, and every time I ask how long it will take, they say “5 minutes.” I ended up waiting nearly an hour while they kept repeating “5 minutes.” This is completely unacceptable. In the end, I just took my money back and went home. Management seriously needs to consider bringing the old staff back — they were efficient and respectful. The current staff are not up to standard and clearly need to be replaced.
Slavi A — Google review
★☆☆☆☆ Truly Awful – Order Never Arrived I had a terrible experience with Eden Cottage and will never be ordering from them again. When I placed my order, I was told it would arrive in 20–25 minutes. Instead, I spent over two hours waiting while the ETA kept changing over and over again with no clear explanation. Even worse, I tried calling the restaurant multiple times to find out what was going on, and they never picked up the phone. No updates, no communication, nothing. In the end, the food never arrived at all, and I had to cancel the order through a customer support rep. This was a complete waste of time and incredibly frustrating. If you're thinking of ordering from Eden Cottage, don’t bother. Their service is unreliable, unprofessional, and completely indifferent to their customers.

La Barra is a small Colombian restaurant that offers an authentic experience through its food, vibe, and live music. The atmosphere is simple but very genuine, providing a proper Colombian experience. The portions are generous and the food is packed with flavor and variety. The grilled meats are well-seasoned and offer unique flavors, creating a Dominican party on a plate. Despite the fast service, some dishes may arrive slightly cold.
Amazing authentic Colombian cuisine. All the staff are so kind and efficient especially the hostess. We got a range of dishes despite one that we came exclusively for being sold out from popularity, our server gave us amazing recommendations. The food was absolutely delicious, genuinely fantastic. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable given the quality, sourcing of ingredients for the cuisine and the dish sizes. Although we came an hour before closing the staff went above and beyond to deliver a lovely service. 10/10 Recommend

Lovely Colombian restaurant. Friendly & welcoming service. We had the daily special for £12, choosing fish & chicken soup. For mains we had beef in sauce & grilled pork. Alongside we had sugarcane juice. All were delicious and generous portions. They also have a varied a la carte menu, watching food being served to other tables all of it looked great. Will definitely come back!

Modern Indian restaurant
Small plates restaurant
Kricket Soho is a trendy Indian-inspired restaurant in London, part of a small chain with two other locations in the city. The restaurant offers a mix of classic and innovative dishes, along with creative cocktails, in a modern setting. The menu features diverse influences from different regions of India, such as Keralan fried chicken and paneer in creamy malai sauce.
Kricket Soho is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic and delicious Indian food. The restaurant takes a small, tapas-style approach, which is fantastic for sharing and trying a variety of dishes. The menu changes frequently, so there's always something new to discover, though a few of their main dishes remain as constants. While some of the newer dishes may not always hit the mark—I didn't find the recent Pani Puri as good as the previous rasam version—the highlights here are truly exceptional. The Keralan fried chicken, chicken gassi, and especially the tadka dal are all incredible. The tadka dal, in particular, tastes so close to what you'd find in a typical Indian home that it feels like a genuine tribute to the cuisine. Hats off to the chef! Want to know a secret?

Kricket – Modern Indian Flavours with a London Pulse Kricket isn’t your typical Indian restaurant — it’s where tradition meets trend. The space feels alive with loud beats, dim lights, and that casual bar-style buzz where everyone seems to be having a good time. You either sit at the shared table or right at the bar — both perfect for soaking up the atmosphere. Green Apple & Mint Pani Puri (vg) A playful twist on a street-side classic. The crisp puris come alive with a cool splash of green apple and mint — refreshing, sharp, and just the right hint of sweetness. Each bite bursts with flavour, like an amuse-bouche that wakes up every sense. Samphire Pakoras (v/vg) Light, golden, and beautifully crisp. The samphire brings a subtle brininess that balances perfectly with the spiced batter. It’s familiar yet unexpected — the kind of dish that shows how Kricket turns comfort food into something quietly sophisticated. Mangalorean Chicken Gassi Rich, aromatic, and deeply satisfying. The curry captures coastal warmth — coconut, spice, and tenderness in perfect balance. It’s soulful, modern, and stays true to its roots, reminding you that creativity doesn’t have to mean compromise. Kricket is loud, lively, and full of flavour — the kind of place where food, music, and energy blend into one unforgettable evening.

I was pretty interested to taste Indian food in London, especially a michelin-starred restaurant. First time trying Thali, which was actually satisfactory. BAO Soho, a cozy and intimate eatery in London's Soho district, gained instant popularity upon its opening in 2015. Known for its soft and cloud-like bao buns, the restaurant quickly became a hit with long queues forming outside. Despite its small size, BAO has expanded to five locations across London while maintaining its original charm.
I decided to stop by this spot because of the positive reviews and it’s quite busy, but worth the wait! I got the long day menu and extras. Overall it was a delicious dinner and well curated. The flavors were well matched and the fowl bowl was delicious along with the traditional Bao bun. The fried chicken was also phenomenal. The drinks were just right and not too strong. The peanut drink at the end was a great way to recap the night! Overall a solid dine in with excellent customer service and I’d definitely come back again.

This place was great. It’s on the Michelin list. We walked in on a Friday and there was about a 30 minute wait for 2. All the dishes we tried were good, but I loved the steak rice, mackerel bao, and daikon bao. The ambience is also nice - it’s a very cozy/intimate restaurant. Good service as well. Reasonably priced. Would come back.

BAO Soho 🥢 I stopped by BAO Soho and instantly felt that cozy charm — simple space, calm energy, and the smell of something really good in the air. I ordered the Fried Chicken Bao, Chef’s Chicken Bao, and the Grilled Fried Chicken Steak. Each dish had its own character — soft, flavorful, and made with care. You can tell everything here is crafted with love, not rushed. What I enjoyed most was how the place felt — no fancy show, just honest food and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s one of those spots that reminds you how good simple things can be when done right.

Second time here in back to back days and highly recommend the great food but even better service. The beef bowl is phenomenal, excellently-cooked steak slices that goes well with egg yolk. A bit too much rice in the pig blood pudding but otherwise tasty. All baos are great but my favourite is the mackerel bao. I was served by Everson on day 1 and Yen on day 2 - they were both so accommodating! Yen let me walk in for dessert 10min pre-closing 🙏🙏 would come back again for sure!

Best BAO I've ever had in my life. Perfectly fluffy and super tasty. The attention to detail makes the dishes so presentable. The prices are pretty high for the portions you get, but the quality is high and the place has been a Michelin recommendation for many years. So, totally worth it! Also, this place is perfect even for solo customers.

This place is a trendy Taiwanese restaurant. It's VERY popular, so I recommend that you book in advance. For Mains: I had the Classic Pork Bao, 3 pieces of Taiwanese Fried Chicken Nuggets and Sweet Potato with Plum Pickle Ketchup. For Drink: I had the House Roasted Peanut Milk. For Dessert: I had the Horlicks Ice Cream Bao. All very good and the total bill came to £29.15 (including service charge), which I thought was reasonable 👌🏽 The customer service was friendly and the waitress helped me pick the best options to suit my taste. The place is a bit of a squeeze but I feel like that adds to experience 😊

The dry aged beef rice was wonderful, however I wish there's an option for a larger portion size. We also ordered fried chicken and mackerel bao - all the deep fried items were very fresh and well done. Staff was also friendly, definitely coming back again. The seating is a bit tight and cramped.

Food was very yummy however you get like a tiny bit of the peanut milk which is accurately measured. Definitely very overpriced. And the service was quite shocking- not enough staff so they shutting the door behind them. The guy with glasses and curly hair ran off his feet and the other girl just chillinggg taking her time. Also may I add that the service charge of 12.5% is a given as I was unable to take this off although I would have happily tipped. Makes you wonder if they get tips for service and that’s why it’s an implementation

FOWL is a unique and innovative restaurant located inside St James's Market, recommended by Michelin. It is a quirky chicken pop-up launched by the same team behind Fallow. The chefs at FOWL, Will Murray and Jack Croft, are known for their low-waste ethos and use pasture-raised, soy-free poultry to create dishes that utilize all parts of the bird. The menu features creative offerings such as a chicken leg corn dog and chicken fat cre caramel.
Been here twice now and sister restaurant Fallow and feel 5* review is justified! Location is great if you want something in central London. Service is great staff are really attentive and helpful. Now down to the reason we come here....the food.... They take ingredients to a whole new level, without a doubt the best Chicken Burger I have had in a rememberable time, chicken tenders are perfectly crisp and not greasy, the sauces are not too sickly and works well. I love a starter and the chicken satay toast is lovely its very salty but packed full of flavour Chicken salt fries are a winner and faultless Overall cant fault chicken and chips, great value for money and experience
Matt B — Google review
Definitely need to have better salads- none of them cut through the grease of all the fried foods (of which there are obviously many) on the menu. Need to be more zingy/palate cleansing. Also the rice of the rotisserie chicken was not seasoned well- would have been great with more seasoning. Unfortunately (with everything else) without that it just was abit oily. Generally with the food we felt it was too much fat and not enough flavour. And fat is ok if it’s balanced well with other things, but just missed that balance. Tbf we didnt order any burgers so maybe they are well balanced.

I had an excellent chicken burger & fries lunch at FOWL. I ordered from the set lunch menu (available Tue-Fri from 12pm-4pm) which currently costs £20 (£23.50 including service charge). The staff were very friendly and the service was efficient. The chicken salt fries were nicely crispy and tasted excellent. The burger was just the right size for a lunch time meal and was a quality piece of chicken. I also had a Rosemary Lemonade. The meal also came with two small ramekins of tomato ketchup and mayo. I enjoyed my meal and would recommend.

All the food was brilliant (the blooming onion being a highlight) and also the chef was able to do a child's option for my son. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming. A highly recommended restaurant!

We ate at Fowl on a Saturday early evening and chose to sit outside, where the setting was lovely. The staff were warm, welcoming, and full of smiles, which immediately set the tone. It was quiet when we arrived, but the atmosphere quickly picked up, and it was clear this is a popular spot. The food was absolutely delicious; some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Perfectly crisp without being greasy, packed with flavor, and completely moreish. The frozen strawberry daiquiri was also superb. We were also very impressed with the pricing, which felt excellent value for the quality of food and experience. Overall, Fowl is a brilliant restaurant, and I’d highly recommend it.

Really enjoyed the experience. The chicken burger was tasty, though both the chicken and the fries were a bit too salty and spicy for my liking. The place is super busy, but they’re very efficient — no waiting time to get a table, and the food came out quickly. The staff are all very friendly and smiley, which makes the atmosphere even nicer. Overall, a really good spot!

Chips and chicken in burger were fresh and crisp but highlight was the Sesame Chicken Salad. The chicken was delicately and perfectly cooked, and everything was bursting with interesting flavours. Signature Strips were, as expected, absolutely delicious. Green Mango & Peanut Salad was a surprising hit among us. Dinner at the an unseasonably chilly November evening and sitting outside. Do dress up warm in colder months. Altogether highly recommended.

Having eaten the best beefburger I’ve tried in London (Heard) a few hours earlier - this was going to be a hard act to follow. There’s no need to worry. This is the best fried chicken in London if not the planet. The coating on the burger and wings are extraordinary. I simply could not believe it. The quality of the chicken is top. This is no KFC. It’s very plump, juicy and meaty. The wings were the biggest I’ve ever seen. It was more like a chicken leg. But. I do have a few slight issues. The chicken strips were a bit small and options for sauces limited from the menu. There was one. A peanut one! This is different to the menu I saw which had Koji hot sauce and Seczhuan honey & buffalo. There was also no prawn toast style chicken toast. So I assume the menu has changed? I did not ask at the time. Also. As exceptional as the chicken burger was - it was a bit small. From reviews online the complaints went the other way. It was too big. So maybe Fowl have reduced the size of the burger in response? Anyway. Overall. Stunning. Chicken salt chips were outrageous. I do hope this place continues but my impression is it’s too high concept for just chicken - even if the chicken here is the best you’ll ever try. It is straddling that line between a fancy place and a fast food place. And it’s location makes it feel a bit overshadowed. It’s big brother Fallow is next door and it just seems this place needs its own bit of London to come into its own and really wow people. Regardless. I’m honoured to have had the chance to eat here. It’s special. And I hope to get to go again.

Chick and Beers (Burlington Road) is a no-frills restaurant that specializes in serving Korean-style fried chicken and beers. The establishment prides itself on offering the best Korean Fried Chicken in town, which is well-seasoned, crunchy, and glazed with delicious sauces. Customers rave about the tender and juicy meat as well as the crispy yet non-greasy skin of the chicken. The unpretentious surroundings and attentive staff add to the overall dining experience.
Chick and Beers has been in my list for quite a while due to its popularity amongst foodies. I have taken my friend for his pre birthday celebration as he is particular about his fried chicken. We were a group of three and visited around 6pm. The customer service was immaculate, the chicken was fried to perfection and we loved everything we ordered. Jean and her colleague has looked after us and they were very amiable but also happy to help! Looking forward to my next visit already. Thank you!

Great Korean joint, small menu, good food. Warm staff. Would have been nice if they suggest with portions enough or too much. Nevertheless they give you takeaway box if can’t finish. Nice good portions. Value for money dishes. Restaurant was very cold and heating was not on. Better book or reserve before you go. Will get full by 6:30 evening almost all the days especially can’t get tables in the weekend. It was nice touch serving frozen glasses with the drink.

I've been coming here for years. Whether to get a takeaway or dine in and it never disappoints. The staff are friendly and it's great to come here when the other location on Coombe Road is busy. The food is always hot and it's exactly what chimaek should be. Great chicken. I've brought friends here and they love it! It's a great place to introduce Korean cuisine to people. I would recommend this place.

This is the tastiest Korean Fried Chicken I’ve tried. We ordered half garlic soy, half sweet chilli and they were both so good. The pieces are big and juicy and the chicken is good quality. There was so much flavour in each bite. The seasoned fries are not to sleep on either, and are also probably one of the best I’ve had at any chicken place. It took a while for our food to arrive, but it was worth the wait. We were lucky to be seated quickly by the friendly waiter as the restaurant is quite small and popular even on a random Monday evening. The seating was wooden tables and chairs, so not the most comfortable, but it did give the eatery a rustic feel. The toilet was small but clean. I’d definitely recommend a trip down here at least once.

Very tasty Korean fried chicken. The chicken is freshly made. The flavours are very nice. Our favourite was the Chilli spicy glaze. Price is reasonable. Waiting time was a bit long so better to go when not too busy.

A Korean Fried Chicken Heaven I recently had the pleasure of indulging in the most incredible Korean fried chicken at chick n beer. The chicken was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. The skin was crispy and golden brown, while the meat was juicy and tender. The glazes were out of this world, with a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and spicy flavors. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. If you're a fan of Korean fried chicken, this place is a must-visit!
Mercedes M — Google review
Great little place. There is no pretense, just good food. The staff were amazing. The Korean fried chicken was cooked to order and you could taste the quality of the chicken. The meat was tender and juicy. The skin crispy but not oily. I would definitely go for the soy glaze as the plain fried is as described. The glaze had the right amount of sweetness for me as it wasn’t too sweet. If you’re in the area and fancy “KFC” give this place a try.

Good Friend is a popular Taiwanese chicken shop located in Chinatown, offering a taste of the night markets of Taipei and Tainan. The marinated chicken is coated in three different flours and fried twice to achieve a tender, thin, and crispy texture. Customers have praised the friendly service and fast delivery, with particular compliments for the tasty prawn dumplings and generous portions.
I recently tried the Sweet and Sour Chicken from Good Friends, and it was a delightful experience. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, while remaining tender and juicy on the inside. The sweet and sour sauce had the ideal balance of tanginess and sweetness, coating each piece of chicken generously without being overwhelming. The accompanying vegetables were fresh and added a nice crunch to the dish. Overall, the Sweet and Sour Chicken was satisfying and flavorful, making it a great choice for a quick and delicious meal.

The Blues Kitchen Shoreditch is a vibrant and industrial space that offers live blues music, dancing, and Cajun-BBQ dining. Their bottomless brunch experience features a combination of breakfast classics like huevos rancheros and customizable eggs, along with fluffy buttermilk pancakes, all accompanied by 90 minutes of unlimited Rum Punch or Prosecco for an additional fee.
Food, drinks, ambience, service - 10/10!! Blues Kitchen is always such a good time and the standard is consistent. Would highly recommend the Popcorn Squid and Buffalo Wings as a starter. Their Brisket Sandwich and Cheeseburger is always a hit as well - perfectly cooked and extremely flavourful. I tried the Salmon for the first time yesterday and it was, as expected, sensational -marinated and cooked to perfection. The staff are always super accommodating which really adds to the experience :)

We waited for our cocktails for about 40 minutes. The waitresses were pushy, constantly trying to get us to order more food. I even went to the bar to cancel my order because waiting 40 minutes for cocktails, despite reminding them several times, is simply unacceptable. As soon as I complained and cancelled, the waitress came and asked us to pay for the food we hadn’t even finished yet. Awful! I was very disappointed. One of the cocktails we did receive tasted so bad that my partner couldn’t even drink it. Before the musicians started playing, we had about an hour and a half to enjoy our food and drinks — but we didn’t enjoy it at all. Once the music began, it was so loud that I couldn’t hear the waitress, my partner, or even myself. It felt more like a nightclub than a blues venue. I was expecting a real blues atmosphere. I had wanted to visit this place for a long time, but it turned out to be more about showing off than about quality. And it was so expensive! I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent first time visit! All of the staff were very friendly, welcoming, checked in on us multiple times and said thank you as we left. Service was spot on. Appreciated being given a jug of tap water straight away without even having to ask too. Food was so tasty, we had the pork belly rib, and bacon cheeseburger, both dishes were great but particularly the pork belly rib - I would come back just for that! 😋 Decor was cool and overall nice relaxed atmosphere (we dined around 5:30pm so before it gets busy). Highly recommend and looking forward to our next visit!

Hands down, my new, absolute, favorite spot in London! Far away from all the touristy spots, this hidden, not-so-hidden, spot is a gem amongst the other establishments close by!!! From the door security, Justina, to one of the most fantastic waiters we have ever had (Daryl), and bar server (Michelle), the place radiates with a charming atmosphere screaming, "come and stay awhile." I was pleasantly surprised by the delectable aroma and essence of flavors that burst in my mouth from the smoked port rib (fell off the bone!!!!), and the earthy and nutty tastes of cheese from the macaroni and cheese. Daryl recommended the mac n cheese which I was hesitant about but glad I tried it! Daryl and Michelle managed to turn a routine work task of serving customers into a joyful, memorable evening simply by being attentive to our needs and having good conversation. Kudos to the restaurant manager for stopping by the table several times to check in on services. Well done! The staff worked well together and did so gracefully and happily. The drinks were well made! The live band was playing good soul music that encourage you to bop and sway while indulging in the atmosphere and your company. Timeless scenery and decorating... England has a sophistication with that that America can't match! A+..... I could stay there forever if I wasn't full from the delicious meal! Easily accessible place I'd visit all the time if I were a local. Thanks for a wonderful evening, all because of an outside conversation with a door staff. You're a wonderful person Justina! A+!

The food was pretty good, however the service was slow, we wanted to order desert after our meal, we asked for a dessert menu but this was never brought to us, shortly after, we were told we had to leave as the next booking had arrived. It should be communicated that the restaurant want to turn tables quickly, and accordingly the service should be speedy to accommodate this goal which wasn't the case. Probably wouldnt visit again because of this. Good food though.

Smoking Goat Shoreditch is a laid-back restaurant offering unique dishes and drinks inspired by Bangkok's late-night canteens. Couldn’t leave a better review! The food and cocktails were absolutely delicious, everything we had was a must try - especially the wings, beef massaman and the mackerel. The fish sauce wings here are great, super sticky and crispy. They're quite expensive(~4£ each) and only sold as single wings but it is a whole wing; I would say these are a must try. They are pretty big. The crispy chicken skins were nice, but I think a dipping sauce with them would go a long way. Cocktails were good. Service was pretty slow, but overall would come back for the wings, they're very unique and some of the best in this style I've had.

Overall a great experience. Squid with salty egg yolk is very special and recommended by the Legardo chef. Chicken wing is very special with fish sauce flavour. Chilli powder better to spread over the entire wing. Mine is only on part of the wing. So the other half has no chilli flavour at all. Fried chicken is crispy outside and tender inside. Naan is also great. Beef curry tastes nice. Strong coconut curry but a bit too sweet. They put lots of sugar in.

I've heard for a long time about the quality of Smoking Goat, I finally had it yesterday and I already cant wait to go back! Food was absolutely delicious like 10/10 and the vibe was a nice cosy environment. It was very busy and a full restaurant throughout but not too busy to the point it affected our meal. Special shoutout to Yasmin she made our time 12/10 due to her customer service and know how of the menu and recommendations. I asked her about what drinks she'd recommend and picked the perfect drink and she basically ended up curating our whole meal. The chill wing was one of the best chicken wings I've had all year down to the exquisite sauce. And the massaman beef cheek was to die for!! Also had a daikon salad which added another dimension and the squid was divine also. She encouraged to try the grilled cockles which i was skeptical at first but as i love seafood and her assurance I wouldn't be disappointed and explained where in Wales they come from and how to enjoy them with the lovely sauce and im so glad we trusted her judgement, i can't wait to go back to try them again!! 5 star dining experience! Wish i could give them 6! Thanks again for everything Yasmin you are a superstar!!

We started our evening at Owl & Pussycat just a couple of minutes away, then headed to Smoking Goat and it did not disappoint. The restaurant was busy so you 100% need to book. The four of us went for a mix of sharing plates, and while every dish was great the chicken wings were the star! The cocktails were a real surprise too – tasty, really well priced for the area! Our waitress was super lovely and chatty, with great recommendations that made ordering easy. They’d even closed part of the street for extra outdoor tables, which gave the whole evening a fun, lively street party feel. Honestly, great food, friendly service, and such a good vibe!

BAO Borough is a cozy eatery located in London, known for its specialty Taiwanese steamed buns. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience with a menu inspired by traditional Taiwanese grill houses, featuring grilled ox heart skewers and 40-day-aged beef with Taiwan butter rice. In addition to their famous fluffy buns filled with options like beef short rib and curry cheese, BAO Borough also serves an iconic Horlicks ice cream dessert.
Choosing this place for my first experience with Taiwanese cuisine was the best culinary decision of my trip to London. The food was amazing. I tried several types of bao — it’s hard to pick a favorite because each one was absolutely delicious. This will definitely be a must-visit spot on my next trip. The staff are very warm and welcoming, and the whole place has a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The chicken skewer is very delicious I would recommend getting a few because the portion is very small. I liked the cabbage, and the mushroom rice was good. However, the meat dishes we got were not good the meat was too chewy and generally flavorless. Additionally, the food is generally very oily even something like the cucumber salad which is meant to be fresh and light was drenched in oil. The rice dishes had too much butter. The tofu dish was tasteless. The yuzu drink was too sweet I only had one sip. The service is chaotic, empty dishes would be left even as new dishes were being served. We got a few extra things we did not order and it is generally difficult to get any of the team’s attention.

Came here on a Saturday, it was really busy but still efficient service. More of a twist on the classic bao bun as they weren’t served in the classic soft buns but still so tasty. Decent price. Came out piping hot. Pork belly was incredible as was the prawn and chicken. Definitely recommend, will be back.

Tucked away in Borough, Bao offers a slice of Taiwan right in the heart of London. The food was absolutely delicious — small portions, but every bite packed with flavour. It’s the kind of place where you end up ordering several dishes, and while it adds up on the bill, it’s totally worth it for the experience. The ambience feels like a bustling little nook straight out of Taiwan — vibrant, noisy, and full of energy. Seating is a bit tight and it gets very busy, so pre-booking is a must to avoid a long wait. Every dish we tried was a hit, and despite the higher price point for the portion size, we’ll definitely be back for more.

Had a great experience at Bao Borough! The buns were soft and packed with flavour, and the staff were really friendly. The atmosphere was lively and perfect for a casual meal. Definitely recommend trying the baos! Desserts weren't really worth it.

The Bao is soft the chicken inside is crispy, pretty nice. The chicken is similar to the taste I had in Taiwan. The drinks is refreshing especially for the summer time. The salad is interesting kale with black vinegar and some yellow zist which I am not sure whether is egg yolk or not. A good stop to have a rest after walking around.

Delicious food. We had a couple baos, as well as the aged beef over rice, and then the ice cream bao. All of it was delicious. The toasted coconut and mango tea was also really nice. The ordering system is really convenient; you can order at your table through your phone, and then they bring your food when it's ready, and you can also pay the same way, so you can leave whenever you're ready. Recommended to make a reservation. It can get a little bit noisy in the fairly small space, but not too bad. Definitely would recommend.

The staff is enthusiastic and friendly, providing assistance in choosing dishes and answering questions about Korean culinary culture.
Had been a fan from their E&C branch, so happy they opened in Soho! Table booked on website, get seated quickly. They have 2 levels of seating plus karaoke rooms on top floor. Friendly staff, good chatting atmosphere. Chicken was great, especially with half and half options. Would not recommend the all-you-can-eat chicken because you would lose out - we had japchae and seafood pancake and both were delicious! Fair sized portions.

Got the bottomless Wings and they were good! They’re not small wings and the portions are 5 wings per serving, they tasted nice also so definitely worth it. However, our booking was for 8, had to wait outside and didn’t get served till 8:15, the place is quite small so it’s understandable. We also didn’t receive gloves with our wings whilst everyone else did which I found strange but other than that it was all good

This place is a hidden gem at the heart of Soho for Korean food lovers! Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The seafood pancake (haemul pajeon) was crispy on the outside and perfectly soft inside, with a generous amount of seafood and scallions. Paired with the dipping sauce and a wedge of lime, it was an ideal starter. We also had a feast of crispy honey garlic fried chicken, japchae (stir-fried glass noodles with beef and vegetables), egg fried rice, and noodle soup with seaweed. The chicken was hot, crunchy, and juicy—clearly freshly made. Japchae was perfectly seasoned and had a nice chewy texture, and the fried rice was light, aromatic, and not greasy at all. The noodle soup was soothing and balanced, with a clean broth and fresh vegetables. The service was quick and friendly, and the food came out hot and fast. Portion sizes were generous, making it great for sharing. Whether you’re craving something crispy, savory, or comforting, this spot nails it across the board. Highly recommend for a casual, satisfying Korean meal!

First, The reverse psychology, please do not go here. I implore all good people of London and beyond, try some place else. Why on earth would you want to try some of the most delicious and well cooked wings ever assembled on a menu. Why? 8 different flavours, that level of choice alone is too much for any mere mortal to consider. Black Aglio, Garlicky, BBQ, Etc.... Portion size is superb. Throw in delectable cheesy fries. Spare your taste buds the joy of sensory overload. Please, let me and a select few bear the burden of visiting this place on a regular basis and devour the sumptuous wings and sensational Korean cuisine. We do this and ask no thanks. Seating is small, service is friendly and on point, atmosphere relaxed, food is very good. If you must visit, please remember not to tell too many people in case this place becomes too popular and I can't get a booking!

Took a chance and just walked in. Waited for around 15 mins to get seated (luckily!). 😄 Ordered Ddukbul meal set, japchae. Ddukbaegi-Bulgogi taste amazing!! It comes with 7 sides plus rice. The meal itself is already good for 2. Sides vary per day, spinach and gimmari would come out on top of the sides. Japchae is just okay, but it got lots of ingredients in so for the price, very worth it. "My old soda" (the bubblegum flavored drink) tasted soooo sweet at first in lingers on the mouth for a while. But combined with the main dish, it complements each other. Even got a take away of half&half chicken. Overall good experience. Will try their karaoke room at the top floor next time!

Absolutely liked this fried chicken restaurant! 🍗 😁As someone who's eaten a lot of fried chicken, this pressure-fried version was a standout—crispy skin and juicy, succulent meat 🤤. The garlic sauce was light and smooth 🧄, and the chips were more like golden potato slices—delicious 🥔. Best enjoyed fresh at the restaurant 🍽️, as delivery doesn’t quite do it justice. You can choose spicy 🌶️ or non-spicy, and the portions are generous. But the food more than made up for it. I’ll definitely be back! 🔥

For me the food wasn't anything special, it was good enough to eat , just seemed like fried chicken. There was a issue with cleanliness, one person on the till which meant he was too busy, i will say good value for money

Love this place!! I highly recommend trying the spicy chicken if you like heat. In fact, their entire menu is full of delicious food. On this occasion, our server was Zia, and he was great! We had the lamb and chicken Shawarma, spicy broasted chicken, and lamb chops with rice; as usual, they did not disappoint. Their customer service is always on point, very attentive, and ready to help with anything. It's a nice relaxed atmosphere and there is plenty of space if you want to attend with a big group. I would recommend calling in advance as they can get busy.

An hour-and-a-half drive for this? Absolutely. 🚗 I'm not kidding—I drove 1.5 hours to come back here, and it was 100% worth it. The broasted chicken is the real deal. It's perfectly crispy and fresh, and the seasoning goes deep, all the way to the bone. You can tell they take their time with it. 🍗 The shawarma plate was also spot-on, classic Syrian style with a delicious garlic toum. 🤤 For £35, we fed our family of three and had a great meal—the value for money is amazing. The owners and chefs are genuinely friendly, and it was nice seeing the same guys there who served me last time. ✨ The only downsides were the cleanliness of the floors and chairs, and the booth seats that slide around. The toilets could also use some attention. But honestly, the food is so good and the people are so nice that I can overlook it. I just wish I lived closer so I could be a regular. If you're looking for fantastic fried chicken, this is the place. 👍

1 of the best broasted chicken I have ever had. I even loved there shawarma platter. Very nice and highly recommended
Umer Q — Google review
The seating was amazing, plenty of seats and super clean too. Staff were very polite and helpful. We got the spicy injected broasted chicken for £20 that comed with 8 pieces of chicken with potato fries, hummus, garlic & burger sauce dip. We also had 2 Gaza colas. The meal was fat and amazing. Chicken was super succulent, tender & juicy but that spicy sauce injected into that chicken was not only spicy but so flavourful. Hummus was rich & creamy drizzled with olive oil & lemon juice. Garlic dip was nicely garlicy & that burger sauce was game changing. Bathroom was also super clean which is good. Overall 10/10 place I highly recommend.

Morley's Chicken on Brick Lane is a beloved establishment that has been serving up delicious meals since 1985. This iconic spot has become a staple for many, especially those hailing from South London, and boasts over 30 locations throughout the city. Known for their spicy wings, Morley’s offers an array of combo deals that are both satisfying and budget-friendly.
correction! - the label inside the store does say that wings and fillets can be slightly pink due to the marinade, adjusting my review to 4 start, not great, not terrible, but definitely better than kfc 6 out of 6 wings were pink inside… chicken piece was nice though. Please fix pink wings 🙏
Nik — Google review
The set is quite similar to kfc. I didn't like the taste of Apple pie and nuggets. fried chicken is quite soft but the taste is still out. Plus there's no toilet here. But there is a mosque and washroom nearby. There is a self-service machine to order food.
Mama N — Google review
Me and my friends come and order some very basic meals and think it will be nice and quick like the experience we had when order in the Camberwell Morley’s branch. But this particular store seems a bit disorganized. we waited for 10 minutes for them to get ready, And we didn’t get the sauce that supposed to in the meal. Also it is very unprofessional that they only provide plate and tissues for some customers and ignore the others. In addition’s The customer who order on the self service machine need to wait extra long compare with those who ordered in person because the employee who work at the front forgot to look at them. I have to ask him about the order after see people came after us had their meal ready. It is a very disappointing experience.
Weiyan H — Google review
Never tried the “legendary” South London Morley’s, so can’t compare, but gave the Brick Lane branch a go. Service? Let’s just say I had plenty of time to admire the menu while staff were glued to UberEats orders in an otherwise empty shop. The chicken and wings? Dry enough to need their own hydration station. My chips were passable, but my son’s tasted suspiciously like they’d been given a second life in the fryer. Feels like management have left the place on autopilot, with staff who’d rather be anywhere else. The food could be decent, but right now? Not rushing back — unless I suddenly develop a craving for disappointment with a side of chips.
Shah H — Google review
The chicken was really overcooked and it was really hard that biting it almost chipped out my teeth. The fries were overcooked and they were rock hard. In addition to this the chicken wings were not cooked inside it and were still pink. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn’t have a customer service number so we were unable to call them to express our concerns. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this for anybody!!
Beverlyne N — Google review
Ordered from here on Uber eats, and honestly have to say this is the worst morleys I've had. I ordered 16 wings because they were doing 20% off and 5 of them were completely pink and inedible in the middle. I also ordered a spicy chicken burger and this was like rubber. One half was cooked perfectly and the other half I couldn't get my teeth through. Will never order from here again and would highly not recommend.
Rabius S — Google review
Both the chicken wings and the chicken burger were so pink and raw on the inside whilst the outside was cooked to the same texture of a rock. They clearly weren't joking when they said the chicken was fresh. It was so "fresh" that they must've butchered the chicken tight there in the shop. The price was okay and even good for the amount of food given, but not good enough for the quality of food. If you want to bring your enemy to a spot to eat, this place is perfect. Otherwise, I wouldn't suggest it.
Fahmida K — Google review
Went to Morleys in brick lane because I heard it was a good family run business over 40 years, I am so so disappointed with the service, I ordered a chicken wing meal and ask if I could get some extra ketchup and was told only one pot ketchup and one pot of mayonnaise per meal, in all my 40 years in London, No fast food place has ever said this, this was my first and last time I ever visit any Morley fast food place. My order number is 502 Date 16.10.25 My advice to anyone going to Morleys take extra ketchup in your hand bag. For Morley to give you any extra ketchup it WILL BRAKE THERE BANK.

Fried chicken takeaway
Seoul Bird is a vibrant culinary gem nestled within the bustling Westfield food court, offering a delightful fusion of Korean flavors and contemporary design. Created by Chef Judy Joo and Andrew Hales, this eatery specializes in mouthwatering Korean fried chicken that takes center stage in their signature Seoul Burger. This burger features crispy chicken tossed in a spicy sauce, complemented by kewpie mayo, fresh red onion, and crunchy iceberg lettuce—all encased in a fluffy potato bun.
Korean fried chicken reataurant that offers a variety of delicious Korean food that is Halal too. I recommend the chicken tenders with rice and the signature dip and the chicken burger. The store has a beautiful atmosphere with a very nice playlist. Beautiful artwork is scattered in the walls of Korean culture.

What a chance find for me. I generally do not go to this end of canary wharf. This restaurant was at one end of the corridor. There was a young man at the entrance to the restaurant who handed me the menu, and on request, explained about some of the choices that seemed interesting. I then went into the restaurant at the far end to where there was a cheerful smiling member of staff name Ali served me. After discussing what I was considering with Ali's assistance, I ordered and paid for the Seoul Bowl - Rice and salad, Korean grilled chicken and Spicy Gochujang dip. I then went and sat at one of the very long and deep tables adjacent to the Serving area. It was not long before my ticket number was called out and I collected my tray. The first things that I was extremely surprised and happy about was the size of the bowl, creatively laid out with the grilled chicken topped with sliced red chilli, rice, mayonnaise less coleslaw, white radish and lettuce. I tucked into it and loved every morsel. I intermixed the Spicy Gochujang sauce that came in a very small sealed container with the food as I went through it. The only thing that I would liked to have seen was a little bit of a sauce/gravy to slightly wet the rice. I also really loved the passion fruit cooler that Ali brought over, so thank to for that extra touch. To summarise, I have found a great place that serves food that I like and is generous with its helpings so you leave there full and satisfied. I will definitely add this to my Canary Wharf must go to places and next time I will try the spicier sauce and the fried chicken version. I am attaching some photographs for your perusal.

I had a great time at Seoul Bird in Canary Wharf. They make delicious Korean fried chicken and dishes here. On Tuesdays to Fridays, between 3 PM and 6 PM, you can get 8 fried chicken wings and fries for £9.95. I highly recommend trying it with the signature and the gochujang mayo sauces. The fried chicken was really crispy and tasty. The portion size is good, and the service was quick.

Just great! Always good! Quick service and food as well as fantastic flavours! The portions are massive! The deals are good! The prices are good! The fried chicken is the best! Always a go to when craving something quick and delicious! You must visit if thinking of having fried chicken in London. Also it can be quite healthy if you pick the grilled chicken. Lovely place with lovely atmosphere and they are always happy to take you in. No need for reservation. A must visit!

I’ve not had a great deal of Korean food apart from the BBQ cook at the table experience but this is a welcome change from other Asian cuisine. The chicken was very tender and went along well with the sauces. The Wrap was very full with lots of fresh salad . Nice relaxing atmosphere with Korean themed decor and able to cater for small and large parties. East to order and not long to wait for the culinary delight .

Thought let’s try this place, fancied some Korean Fried Chicken. We were told everything except the Dumplings were Halal. The food was OK…. I was quite disappointed with the size of the wings on our visit (they were quite small, for the price paid). I also got fried chicken thighs, that was ok. One of the 3 chicken thighs was incredibly chewy and filled with oil. So left that out. Loaded chips was good, enough to share with someone. My friend got the burger and mac and cheese. He enjoyed the burger but was quite disappointed with the Kimchi Mac and Cheese. I got the Lotus Biscoff Milkshake, really enjoyed that. I think the sharing platters work out to be more value for money. Also get a mixture of the sauces available. Plenty of seating available inside. Good service overall and the food came out pretty fast.
Ahnaful A — Google review
This eatery offers a small array of very good Korean street food favourites. The menu is well priced and the eatery has a good vibe. This branch offers Halal chicken options. Most of the meats are either grilled or fried and coated in one of number of unique Korean sauces. The Korean Fried Chicken and the KFC Burgers are excellent paired with the Chicken Chilli Sauce or the Signature Sauce. The Korean Rice/Noodle Bowls are good sized portions. Items I have tried include: The Signature Seoul Burger: Korean Fried Chicken with Signature sauce, mayo and iceberg lettuce: Excellent Korean Fried Wings with Chilli Chicken Sauce served with Asian slaw & pickled white radish: Excellent Kids Menu Korean Grilled Chicken & Noodles: Korean grilled Chicken thigh with Korean glass noodles, vegetables and Soy Sauce: Average-Good

Eat so many times! If you are in a hurry and want to eat something can come fast, this will be a good choice. Compare to bowl with salad, rice bowl is much better. About the sauce🤔️I forgot which one is the best but not the soy one(maybe the first one?) Do recommend the jap cai (small bowl noodles) Fried chicken thigh, good quality and quantity.

We visited this restaurant for late lunch. Maybe we expected to much. Every food was good (like diet version) but nothing impresive. Wakame was served plain, asparagus without any spices..we were missing some extra taste🙃they have only one GF meal- it was nice and yummy.

These homemade Udons! ❤️ The cold meaty xo udon is one of the best dishes I've ever eaten! Very authentic Japanese place, with the service and overwhelmingness of choices to match. Donburi is amazing as well.
Dylan L — Google review
If this place was 15-20% cheaper, it would be a dream. In fact I’d be here twice a month. The vegan donburi was absolutely fine, tasty, plenty of rice. Nothing special at all. No garnish really. Nothing beyond the obvious. For £19 I had half a beer, rice and 3 bits of courgette with some tofu. It’s my fault for being on Broadway Market, but there are some reasonably priced outlets. It’s self service with a touchscreen so it feels particularly dissonant in this pricey derelicte surround. Last time I ordered with one of those was McDonald’s. The problem partly is the old vegan gouge, charging me same price for about 40p of ingredients. It’s not on really. And it was mostly empty on this Monday eve, when for say £12 instead of £16, they’d probably have the place rammed on a weeknight. Shame.
Chris P — Google review
Food is great. Satisfying, satiating at a good price especially for the quality of the ingredients. The seats are comfortable but it's a tight space so not the best if you're fuller/larger in stature. The service is friendly and helpful.

Went to get the stamp haha. Food is nice, quick service, big portion. The inside seating has ac, very nice in a hot day.

Only ok, in the tempera udon soup the soup wasn't that flavourful and the tempura was nice but got soggy quick. The spicy beef soup was nice. Both were fairly plain and not the biggest portions. It's strange having to order and wait for your number to collect it. Was overall disappointed and won't return
Brad H — Google review
Nice place but wasn’t blown away! Got the classic udon noodles with prawn tempura. It tasted so plain but I loved how big the tempura was! A dipping sauce is really needed. The spicy udon with fried fish was a lot more flavourful 😊 For sides, there’s a salad which was so average and the chicken karage, the crispy parts were very good but some parts weren’t. Overall I’m glad I tried and the vibes are nice! Probably wouldn’t go back again as there’s more udon places out there to try :) thank you!

Rooster's Hut in Peckham is a popular spot for fried chicken enthusiasts. Located on Rye Lane, this eatery serves up a variety of delectable greasy delights and stays open until 3am on weekends. While it may not boast a Michelin star, its affordable prices make it an attractive choice for many. Customers rave about the flavorful lemon and herb grilled strips as well as the generous portion sizes of their meals.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely love this place! Rooster Hut is hands down one of the best spots for late-night chicken cravings. The food is always fresh, crispy, and packed with flavour. I tried the spicy wings and a chicken grill burger – both were cooked perfectly and came out piping hot. The staff are friendly and quick, even when it's busy. Prices are fair, portions are generous, and the vibe is exactly what you'd want from a classic chicken shop. Highly recommend if you're in the area and want proper comfort food done right!

my biggest mistake was not checking the reviews here before ordering on uber eats. the food was tasteless, and the portions were kids size. this is the skinniest wrap i’ve ever had in my life, and they onion rings portion wasn’t even full? like i don’t understand how this could be worth £15 for a kids size meal? i kid you not i could’ve believe my eyes when i opened the delivery, and the flavour didn’t even make it better, i was basically eating air and dreams

Used to come here all the time but now you have zero hygiene - coughing onto burgers, chicken being grilled and chips. Sneezing into dirty tissues and then handling the food. I would delete this review if I saw better hygiene going forward.

I used to go there a lot, now I went with my guest after a long time - the management has changed. Ordered my favorite grilled chicken and it arrived after 30 minutes. It was not the first taste! When I went to the kitchen area to wash my hands, there were Cockroaches crawling! Seen the poor state of cleanliness- I do not advise anyone to go here.

I came here today for lunch and got the 3 chicken strip meal with chips and a drink. The chicken strips was nothing like the images on the menu and was tiny… quite displeased with this and the £4 I spent here today, I had last been here a year ago looks like the workers and owners are all different and the menus plus prices have changed. I won’t be coming here again unless they change how things are going currently.

I had high expectations for the Morleys restaurant based on the positive reviews, but unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with my experience. The food I received was completely different from what was displayed on the screen, and it lacked any flavor or taste. It seemed like the food was just reheated or microwaved instead of being freshly prepared, which made me feel like they were cutting corners to save costs. I strongly advise avoiding this place at all costs, and I plan to report them to the food standards agency.

"Top-notch chicken and great value!" I’ve been to a few Morley’s branches, but the Wandsworth one is definitely one of my favourites. The chicken is always crispy, juicy, and fresh – especially the wings and spicy fillet burger. Service is quick, and the staff are friendly and polite even during busy hours. Prices are super affordable, and the portion sizes are generous. It’s perfect for a quick bite after work or a late-night treat. The shop is clean and well-maintained too, which is always a bonus. Highly recommend if you’re craving some proper fried chicken without breaking the bank!

The establishment's rotating menus reflect seasonal British produce and diverse international cuisines, providing returning patrons with fresh experiences.
Amazing burger one of the best i have ever tried. it melts in the mouth 10/10 The fries was crispy Nashville chicken was ok little dry The music was soooo loud you could hear the person next to u. Hope they lower the music to enjoy the place

I can’t seem to understand the low reviews! I loved the burger, tasted great. It reminded me of a gourmet Big Mac. I’d definitely add another patty to it next time. I ordered the platter, came with a tender, waffle fries and dips. Total was £16. I would say it’s on the pricier side and didn’t include drinks but I guess that’s standard for these days. My food arrived quickly, can’t complain about anything else! I’d definitely go back.

Delicious smash beef burgers, loved the additions and good quality beef patties. If you like meaty burgers then go for the double. The waffle chips served hot and crispy 😋 it is located inside a very nice food court, you don't need to queu to order someone would take you to a table and you place your order through an app and they bring it to your table a very enjoyable and relaxing experience.

Very poor. We were told a £13.50 (£15.20 with service charge!) shwarma fries was for sharing. The portion was ridiculously small with hardly any fries and meat but just full of salad and chilli sauce! The presentation of the food was also poor. The customer service was also really poor - the way the waiter placed the food on the table was as if he didn’t care! Do not come here!
Ale R — Google review
Manna located in the centre point foodhall has a great atmosphere, loud but pleasant, with plenty of seating options around. The food was good but the burger was let down by a weak sauce that dragged the otherwise crispy smash burger down a few levels. The Nashville tenders and fries were all great though, but the jalapeño dip was rather bland. Overall for £20 it’s a sizeable portion of food that’s solid throughout but missing an edge to make it a great experience
S A — Google review
Burger is a decent smash burger. Not great, but not bad. Service leaves something to be desired as it simply takes too long. Nashville hot chicken was better than the burger. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit them again, but I also wouldn’t be upset if I had it. And it is significantly bigger in terms of actual burger size than Shake shake across the street. But prob not as good either… just my two cents.
Mark — Google review
Great smash burger. Not the best I’ve had. But definitely very good. Their fries are extra crispy. Though wished they made thin sweet potatoes fries too and perhaps like a pickled salad to balance all the fat. Their fried chicken sandwich is actually better than the burger itself.
Dor — Google review
Finally tried Nashville Hot Chicken...no regrets! Chicken tenders were crispy, loved the Creamy Jalapeno dip...didn't check there were dips included so ended up with 3 dips but all good as 2 servings were needed! Waffle Fries also very good. Can't wait to try the Smashed Burgers! Online ordering and payment also genius...smooth and efficient.... no more waiting for your bill when the place gets busy.

BE CAREFUL! They do the best chicken and chips YES I AGREE. BUT! The issue lies with the pay, Your order could be £2 and they charge you £5 . Before you pay always check around at the screens with what you ordered and the price then calculate!!! Every time i go there I have to calculate because 98% of the time they charge me and some others extra, if I had the effort to go Peckham high street I would because this one always over charge. I don’t know if they gain something from it eg. Tips? But they ALWAYS add on more money. Make sure to calculate and look at the card machine. The tack tick is them not showing you it and you just pay assuming they’d know. Double check always!

The portion of chips given was abysmal. The chicken wings were placed under the chips and the amount of chips after removing the wings was shocking. This wouldn't even be considered a kids meal...it was that measly. I will never order from this particular morleys ever again!! I wish I added a picture, I was so stunned after opening the box. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Ordered 15 June 21 Absolutely disgusting food. It took more than 30 mins to arrive the chicken was 3+days old the skin was stuck on the chicken. You reheat and reheat you can tell. The ribs are inedible hard enough to break your teeth the wing skin crumbles off stale. I pray you guys fix up give people fresh food. I paid a fortune!! BEWAREEEE!!!!!

Fried chicken takeaway
Chinese takeaway
Sichuan Fry by Dumpling Shack is a new venture by John and Yee Li, known for their successful Dumpling Shack. This spicy fried chicken concept offers a unique blend of buffalo chicken burger with fiery Sichuan spicing. The pop-ups drew long queues, leading to the establishment of a permanent location in London Fields. Customers can enjoy the crispy and umami-rich whole chicken wings with just the right level of spiciness.
10/10. Sichuan pepper sauce for the sando was perfect. Garlic green beans side was perfectly seasoned. Clean place, friendly staff, quick service and totally recommended!
Rosita H — Google review
Wow, incredible fried chicken, spice level on the original was perfect, with plenty of Sichuan pepper flavour coming through. Chicken was incredibly juicy and crunchy at the same time. Service was quick, friendly and it was great value for money. Make sure you get extra pickles.
Paul B — Google review
it’s a great answer to the great London fried chicken question. But honestly I gave this this three stars because I love dumpling shack so much and this doesn’t really remind me of the dumpling shack brand. The staff however were really friendly, I used to go to the dumpling shack in Canary Wharf and the staff were so rude, so it was lovely to be met with such friendly employees. They answered all my questions about the food and the way it’s prepared, also gave me a full refund when I ordered the wrong thing tell me that I had done so. The chicken sandwiches are really good and genuinely taste like a Sichuan fry, but the restaurant is a little underwhelming they don’t have a toilet for customers which I actually thought was a law in the UK that you had to have but I maybe wrong. The art on the wall was really beautiful though and the place is really clean. So a bit of a mix of feelings from me. I would recommend the standard sandwich with seaweed fries, the cucumber is also a highlight. Seating is also very limited so suggest eating out or taking away.

I love it here. The portions are perfectly sized, the atmosphere is clean and vibrant and ordering is so convenient! They have a little ordering window so you never have to worry about them getting your order wrong. If you want flavourful, crunchy chicken and fries that stay fresh and don’t get soggy by the time you make it to the office, come here!!! The staff are incredibly helpful and are more than willing to amend an order to fit your palate (for instance my friend ordered a Sichuan Super Scorcher wrap and didn’t want any veggies, they took it out and he’s also not a fan of mayo so when he chose his items on the kiosk he picked a different sauce) Love the convenience, love the food, love Sichuan Fry x Dumpling Shack 😊
Adali B — Google review
Popcorn chicken was perfectly crisp and the spicy honey sauce was amazing. Definitely get this one!! The portion of chicken is pretty generous too. The wontons were just okay for me. The chili oil was spicy and sour which I love but the wontons themselves lacked character.
Mei L — Google review
Very very tasty food here. We tried the "Classic" burgers and fries The Sichuan scorcher level of spicy was perfect for me, though I did wish for a little extra slaw and pickles in my burger, probably next time I will buy extra as sides (the smacked cucumber pickle is really really good). The chicken is really perfectly fried, and the seasonings+sauces they use taste super good. Also while the food was great, I did leave wanting for there to be more 'mala'/numbing sensation from Sichuan peppercorn. Also I wished there was somewhere to wash my hands after eating! The burger was bursting with chilli oils and sauces - so if you eat in, make sure you have a way to clean your hands afterwards.

We walked past this place by coincidence and gave it a go. I ordered the Soy Garlic Burger, which was super delicious. I think the sauce was put on the edge of the burger, so I actually didn't taste it until the very end. Something that can be improved on. The chicken thigh was very tender, and the pickles were incredible (they were more sweet and acidic). Fries were good. We tried the curry powder, salt and pepper, and seaweed. The seaweed flavor definitely stood out the most. My friend also ordered fried wings that came in a ridiculous portion. It was quite worth it. The burger combo with fries and drink was around £14. Service was extremely fast, got our order around 5 minutes after ordering. The place does have limited seating, so it's just a place for a quick bite instead of a sit-down dinner.
Jessie G — Google review
Bread 9/10. Sweet, puffy & lightly toasted Chicken excellent. Healthy portion and nice spicy Szechuan flavour, balanced by bit of creamy slaw relish and pickled cucumber. Wouldn’t get the salt & pepper fries again as too peppery, will try the mac n cheese or just wings on next visit

Lucky's Hot Chicken at Exmouth Market offers a fiery Nashville-style hot chicken experience. Located in Seven Dials Market and Mikkeller Brewpub, this place serves up crispy strips, wings, and sandwiches that are twice-fried for maximum crunch. Whether you prefer a milder flavor or crave intense heat, Lucky's has options for everyone. The delicious chicken sandwich comes highly recommended by visitors who have tried it.
A must-visit. The buffalo burger was top-notch, and is absolutely stuffed with chicken. The wings were the best I’ve had in my life: huge, succulent, and covered with a glorious, zingy crisp. For my money the most authentic chicken spot this side of town.
Jonathan B — Google review
If you’re into bold flavors and serious heat, Lucky’s Hot Chicken is the place to be. Their fried chicken is top-tier, with an incredible sando that’s crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. The tenders are just as impressive—epic crunch and full of spice. Fair warning: the spice levels are no joke. I love spicy food, but even the medium heat was intense, so tread carefully if you’re thinking of going hotter. Thankfully, the authentic blue cheese sauce is the perfect cool-down. Beyond the chicken, the beer selection is a standout. With over 20 craft beers available, there’s something for every palate. Whether you’re after a refreshing pint or something more complex, the beer range here delivers. Spicy, crispy, and perfectly paired with a cold beer—Lucky’s Hot Chicken is a must-visit. Just be careful with the heat!
Jonathon B — Google review
The food quality was simply not good. I got chicken tenders which were small and had barely any flavoring. Pieces of the chicken were an odd brown color and tasted funny. The fries were okay but definitely from a frozen bag. I was disappointed.
Kara S — Google review
Plant-based chicken sandwich was FIRE. Crispy chicken is well balanced with coleslow, however next time would probably opt for the spice option below medium - I love spicy food, but the medium blew my head off, I struggled to taste anything apart from chilli. Chips with buffalo sauce are 😘🤌
Alena Z — Google review
Overly loud (it was the Thursday dinner time before a bank holiday so maybe has some bearing) and full of people crowding the bar despite people sat there eating, as well as blocking the entrance etc. Service from the bar very pleasant but the assumption seems to be that you're going to eat with your fingers so you'll be brought napkins but have to go find your own cutlery. Medium spice was to my mind a hot elsewhere; whilst that's a quirk you could get in many places it was an unwelcome surprise. Chicken batter a bit granular, pickles and fries overpriced. Toilets 'amusungly' seem to have locks set to show vacant when occupied and vice versa.
Musos G — Google review
To be honest I'm really disappointed, I've been eating my way through the Nashville chicken spots in London and was in the area so decided to tick this one off Got 4 sets of tenders at 4 different spices. Only the country flav one seemed to have any flavour. the rest lacking spice and lacking flavour. The chicken tenders were small, the chicken looked old and discoloured +had a weird texture to it under the breading. Service was good Everybody was very friendly.but food underwhelming. I may give it another shot at Thier other branch but won't be in a rush

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Covent Garden, Maxwell's Bar & Grill has been a beloved American-style eatery since 1972. This charming venue boasts cozy diner-style leather booths where guests can indulge in a mouthwatering array of dishes, from juicy burgers and ribs to fresh salads and Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. The menu is complemented by an impressive selection of cocktails and enticing pre-theatre specials that make it perfect for a night out.
Visiting London from Chicago and stumbled on this place. The menu looked good so we went in. Amazing service, fast and friendly staff. The food was very flavorful and great size portions. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Amazing customer service, our waitress Tee and Mariatta (quite new she said sorry if name was wrong) were beyond amazing. Polite, welcoming responsive and just all round amazing people. Great service and atmosphere. I’ll be bringing my work team here for our next outing. Thanks ladies great service they are lucky to have you 🤩 I went with my two daughters and mother and they loved it also . Great Father’s Day

The music and atmosphere were really good, and the DJ was definitely the highlight of the night. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. The mac & cheese came without the bacon, the Philly cheesesteak was very dry, and the truffle cheese fries were nothing special. I also expected a lot more from the freakshake, but it felt a bit careless and uninspired. Great vibes, but the food didn’t live up to the location.

Luis gave us an amazing service during the whole evening, always attentive and willing to help with every need. He was very kind all the time. The food was amazing, delicious and warm. Definitely will come back in the future. Thanks for a lovely evening!

I visited Maxwell's Bar & Grill while touring London, almost by chance I was just walking by it and decided to give it a try. After having tried it I now believe it was not just chance or coincidence that brought me there. The Fates were smiling upon me and the Olympian gods must have decided to bless me with their all powerful favor. Hard to know where to start with such a divine experience. Firstly as a party of 3 we were seated almost immediately, no waiting time at all. The atmosphere, the decorations and the music (upbeat american) were great. It was just a pleasure to sit inside. Moving on to the service the waiters were simply outstanding, extremely friendly and polite, very attentive and constantly checking on us not only to take our orders, but also to check we were pleased and to be sure to ask when anything else was needed. I have to mention their names because they need to be nominated for employees of the month at the earliest possibility, Sebastian and Enrico were just extraordinary in their service, and any failure in elevating them will surely incur the wrath of the gods. Lastly to the food and drinks, we ordered the philly cheese steak with regular fries, also some extra truffle fries, the mac and cheese plate with bacon added and also their maxwell lager. This was a glorious and tasty feast with no equal, everything was extremely good, these were without a doubt the best philly cheese steak and mac and cheese plates we have ever had, and my son even shared this with the waiters because he could not hold the excitement. The drinks were also great, I am not a big beer drinker but I loved their lager very much and would have it many times over if I could. And to top off the evening, as if the entire experience was not already divine enough to hold any and all gods in awe, they were so appreciative of our positive feedback that they gave us a discount on the bill!!! These guys are simply legendary, if you are in London do not hesitate, this is the place to be.

Visited this restaurant with my partner and had a lovely time. We were quickly seated outside and ordered steak fajitas and the taco salad. Both were delicious, but the absolute can’t-miss is the lemongrass lemonade. Delightful! Our waiter was very friendly and talked to us about additional places to visit while we were in town. Highly recommended.

Let's start with saying me being me (stupid) I booked a table for myself and family and turned up at booking time and after being told no booking could be found I realised I booked it for the next day but not all lost the host was great he cancelled my booking and got me a table in less than couple minutes. Order was taken with no issues and food and drinks came out in good time. The cocktails were great and the food was even better. Advise kids have burgers off the kids menu not to try normal menu as kids sizes are just right for my 12 and 13 year old. Onion rings as a side was great for the 4 off us plenty to share and have at least 3 each. The kids loved the desert eventho the maxwells super sundae is massive and is 100% made for at least 2-3 people as my daughter found out bless her she did her best with it picture does not give it justice. Overall fantastic service and food would 100% go again when next in London. Total bill with service charge was £160 yes a lot but what we got for the 4 of us was well worth it 4 meals, 1 side, 1 desert 1 extra big desert, 1 milkshake, 1 coke, 4 cocktails more than happy.

Good option in busy Covent Garden for a quick snack and drinks. They have a cocktail offer during the aperitif hours (selected cocktails for 6.95£, Aperol Spritz amongst them) and sweet potato fries. What more do you want for a Sunday pit stop😁

I tried the Buffalo chicken wings and they were very, very delicious — perfectly seasoned and exceeded my expectations. As for the Buffalo chicken sandwich, it was just average. The taste was okay, but nothing really stood out or made it special. Packaging and service were good. Recommendation: I highly recommend the Buffalo chicken wings 👌

دايم اذا شفتو خليجين يمدحون في مطعم وتاركين ريفيو اضمنو انه المطعم مايتفوت 😀❤️ After four visits to this place, I can agree that it is one of my best places in London. The burger was juicy, fresh, and full of flavour. The bun was soft, the meat was cooked perfectly, and the toppings were right. I also loved the crispy chips, which were salted just right, and the friendly service. The staff were welcoming and the atmosphere was vibing and clean. Coming back again. Highly recommend!”❤️❤️

I've been to this bar twice with my friend and absolutely love it! Food: Everything we've had has been good and very affordable. My friend is obsessed with the hash browns, she's been here a few times and always orders them! Service: Huge shoutout to the staff here. They're all incredibly friendly and kind. On our first visit, we were served by Clara, who was super sweet, funny, and went above and beyond (she even gave me her hair tie when I asked for one!). On our second visit, we were helped by Claudia, who was also amazing. We accidentally underpaid our bill, but she just smiled and told us it was totally fine. Everyone we've interacted with has left such a great impression. I'll definitely come back soon!!!

The Buffalo chicken burger was quite average, nothing really special about it. We also tried two kinds of chicken — one with BBQ sauce and the other with garlic sauce — but both were just okay, nothing stood out. Overall, the food was very average, but the place itself had a nice vibe and a cool décor.

A fantastic spot to hang out with friends! The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, with a billiard table, a fun photo booth, and a DJ later in the evening (we arrived a bit earlier and missed that part). The staff were wonderful, and Clara, who served us, was absolutely amazing — friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home.

Patty&Bun James Street is a popular American restaurant located in London, offering a cozy atmosphere and a delectable menu. The place is known for its gourmet burgers served in brioche buns alongside thin-cut chips. Despite not being strictly focused on chicken, the Hot Chic burger has gained fame for its perfect balance of heat from the mayo, coolness from the lettuce, and tanginess from the pickles.
Excellent service & atmosphere. I ordered the truffle burger as recommended by staff member- it was sensational! Shared the chilli fries with my husband which were spicy but very delicious. Cherry bomb cocktail was also excellent.

Patty and Bun on James I’d recommend only for the burgers.... because that’s where they truly shine. We ordered the Holy Truffle Burger, Hot Chick Burger and Lamb Shank Redemption Burger and all three were packed with flavor juicy and satisfying. The staff were amazing too the waitress and the guy taking orders were super attentive and friendly even though the place was packed and there were only two of them handling everything. Now the sides were a letdown The rosemary salt chips were crispy but dry and oily almost like they were burnt, The nuggets were nothing special honestly I’ve had better from a corner shop, And the wings they could do better but I wouldn’t order them again If I go back it’ll just be for the burgers because those were really good but I’d skip the sides next time

Had dinner at Patty & Bun recently and it was a really enjoyable experience. I went with my kids and right from the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and patient (which is always appreciated when dining with children!). The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, which made it easy to settle in and enjoy the meal. The food itself was delicious. I ordered their burgers and I highly recommend asking for them to be cooked medium — it makes a noticeable difference. Juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The kids were happy too, which is always the real test. They tried the chicken nuggets and absolutely loved them — crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and not the generic frozen style you get in some places. We also ordered chips on the side, and they were spot on: nice, crispy, and served hot. Nothing soggy or oily, just the perfect crunch. The waiting time was reasonable as well; we came around dinner time and our food arrived in about 10 minutes, which is quite good considering how busy the place can get. Overall, Patty & Bun delivered exactly what you’d want from a great burger spot — tasty food, friendly staff, and a comfortable atmosphere for families. Would definitely go again. 🍔✨

The food was good, and the burgers were well prepared. I’ve visited the Canary Wharf branch multiple times in the past, but today we faced issues with the billing. The manager was unable to clearly explain the discrepancy, and instead of acknowledging what was clearly a mistake on the bill, she became irritated. After more than 10 minutes of discussion, rather than resolving the matter, she displayed an unhelpful attitude. It felt as though being students meant we weren’t treated with the same respect as other customers. Unfortunately, this experience has put me off returning to this branch for the foreseeable future. Kudos to the 2 guys working there but not the lady (who is the manager but I would say isn’t or shouldn’t be in the service business) #dishtnotapproved

Casa do Frango London Bridge is a bright and airy eatery that offers classic Portuguese barbecue dishes and a full bar. It's known for its reasonably priced, high-quality food and has two locations in London - one in London Bridge and another in Shoreditch, with plans for a third location in Victoria.
Food was incredible, small but well done menu concentrating on quality. Chicken was some of the best I've had. We had a large table of 9 and staff were incredible. Drinks came out quickly and food was perfectly timed. Staff were so on the ball it was impressive, a well oiled machine! Setting is beautiful if a little warm when the sun comes out!

Lovely vibe and atmosphere at the restaurant, nicely decorated and easy to find, just next to Borough Market. We ordered sourdough, Iberico pork croquettes, mushroom à bulhão pato, Frango piri-piri, slow-roasted pork cheek, and casa rice for a table of three. This is definitely good portion and got us super full. The sourdough was soft inside with a crispy crust, thick-cut and served with whipped butter, which was a nice surprise! The croquettes were a bit too salty for me personally. The mushroom dish had lemon added, but it was too sour and I couldn’t taste much garlic. It came with toasted sourdough underneath that soaked up all the sauce — though again, too sour for the sourdough! We ordered the Frango piri-piri after seeing other reviews, and it was absolutely amazing. Just a reminder — it’s quite spicy, so be careful if you can’t handle spice! The pork cheek was surprisingly good and tender, even though the plating didn’t look too impressive. It was full of flavour, and the sweet potato purée with the meat juice was also delicious. The casa rice seems to be a popular choice, but it wasn’t a wow for us — still decent though. We shared their gelato, and I have to say the sea salted caramel flavour was exceptional! Overall, loved the whole experience — comfortable place, great service, and would definitely recommend!

This place knows how to do tapas! The smaller plates were ABSOLUTELY delicious oh wow. I ordered a large plate of their chicken (which was slightly bland - my only complaint) I wouldn’t have needed as the smaller plates were big enough and tasty. The ambience is lovely, the waitress was friendly and the food was out in good time, I can’t wait to come again.

Really tasty, well thought-out menu. This is probably a better place for meat eaters but there are well labelled options for vegetarians and all the dishes were well crafted. I particularly recommend the green rice, with some of their piri Piri sauce. Pastel de Nata also worth trying if you have the room. We had nice service and there were lots of families in the place, so definitely child friendly.

On The Bab is a popular Korean restaurant with branches in Shoreditch and Covent Garden, as well as other locations. It offers a casual dining experience with a focus on Korean street food and anju cocktails. The menu features favorites like crispy Yangyum chicken, prawn-packed buns, KFC (Korean Fried Chicken), heat-packing pork noodles, and kimchi fried rice.
Delicious Korean food. Just walked by randomly and got attracted by the vibe. The menu looks great, variety of choices and food was amazing. Really love the rice cake, the balance between sweet and spicy was just right. Texture of the rice cake was cooked to perfection as well. The grassnoodles was really good too, flavourful and not too expensive. Portion is really big. Price is reasonable. Definitely recommended!

Delicious— the best Korean fried chicken! My favourite is the sweet and spicy flavour. This place is a must-visit. I tried their lunch special fried chicken curry this time — so tasty! The staff are also very friendly and welcoming.

Very authentic and delicious Korean food! Highly recommend the chill fried chicken and pork and kimchi rice! The flavour was insaneeeee😍 Big portion Staff was all very friendly and nice

Good food and quick service. The cooking is almost within arms reach. My first Korean restaurant, so I might have been slightly underwhelmed with flavours. My messy menu is for reference and evidence that it's good food worth sharing with 2. 10% service charged added was a little surprise! Best option for us was the dumplings and dipping sauce, yum! Bao bun with spicy pork also a top choice 💪🏻

The fried chicken was the highlight with excellent flavour and a crispy texture. The staff were warm and friendly with very prompt service and the portions were generous. The restaurant was very cramped and it can be hard to ensure a seat- but the crowd results in a lively atmosphere. A must try!

Korean joint with a compact but mastered menu. We ordered a bibimbap, fried chicken and tteokbokki. None of the dishes disappointed. I'd especially like to recommend the soy ginger chicken, which was juicy and perfectly flavoured. The spicy mayo on the salad was a great finishing touch.

Berber & Q is a Middle Eastern and North African restaurant located in an old taxi repair shop under one of Dalston's railway arches. While the menu draws inspiration from various cuisines, it prominently features bold North African and Middle Eastern flavors such as dukkah, rose, and tahini.
wow! so tasty! great mix of vegetarian and meat dishes, everything was good but my favourites were the chickpeas with spinach and the cauliflower. cocktails were incredible too!

Amazing experience and great service. Mara did a brilliant job of explaining everything on the menu and recommended us the best dishes. Super friendly and lovely atmosphere. The best hummus i’ve ever had!!

Exceptional Moroccan BBQ, i have to mention the bbq cauliflower before anything else - it is incredible, you must get it! I enjoyed the lamb main too but personally found it too fatty at points, but incredibly soft and tender A massive shout out to Finn, Ash and Charlie who looked after my solo dine. They were attentive, talkative and quick to help me out!

The lamb with the flat bread was delicious. The cumin salt complimented it so well. In the mixed grill, the chicken was very well cooked. Super moist as well. The keftes were flavorful but wayyy too salty for me. The pork belly was cooked well but wished it had more flavor to it. Loved the cauliflower and the dressings go very well together.
Celina H — Google review
Our dinner at “Berber & Q” was an absolute disappointment, and unfortunately was one of the few restaurants I’ve been to that were a complete let down. The night missed the mark on multiple fronts and I would definitely not recommend this. Firstly, the food. Very disappointing. The lamb was fatty, the chicken was dry and bony, and so was the fish. The only good thing we had were the dips and the bread. What made things worse was the timings, the lamb dishes came our fairly quickly, and the chicken and fish were probably forgotten because they both came about 40 minutes later. Overall, the kitchen was struggling. When they finally did come, they were inedible. We complained about the service and the food, and the staff was generally unfazed… They said a sorry and continued as normal. Overall, not value for money and genuinely one of the last places you should visit if you’re in the area with so many places around.

The food was so so tasty, and the service was so attentive and friendly, a wonderful experience. Cauliflower and the potato cakes were incredible, thanks guys! 🤩

Food was really good and the vibe is so cool. Loved the different dishes. But the wine menu can be improved! Hummus could be improved, not a fan of hummus and something on top (link is missing) The lamb dish was huge and def not for 2 ppl - we could have be warned about that. It was good but too much food…

Great food, fantastic cocktails, and a really nice venue with a great atmosphere. We had the amazing mixed grill, a fantastic sea bass, and the roasted cauliflower, and they were all spectacular. One tiny gripe was that we asked twice for additional Harissa because it was super tasty. Both times we were told that would be fine, and they would place the order, but unfortunately it was not sent to the table. We finished the meal without it so didn't bother asking a third time. Otherwise all was excellent and we'd definitely go back

Taiwanese restaurant
Asian restaurant
Mr Bao is a Taiwanese restaurant located in Peckham, London, offering a menu filled with Asian-inspired steamed buns and an array of cocktails and teas. The establishment is known for its unique fillings such as ham-hock fritter with egg and plum sauce, braised beef brisket with wasabi slaw, fried chicken with wasabi mayo, salmon, shiitake, tofu options for non-meat eaters.
Came here for lunch last weekend and had a lovely time. They recommend 1-2 small dishes and 1-2 bao’s per person. Between two of us, we ended up having 8 boas, 2 small dishes, and a dessert. This was definitely more food than we needed but it was fun to try a lot of the menu. We were quite hungry though, so I would say we needed 3 bao’s per person. Service is pretty quick though, so I would recommend ordering cautiously and getting more as you eat if you’re still hungry. For the starters, we had the corn ribs and the pancakes. Both were great and the sauces were really tasty, we ended up hanging onto those to dip the boa buns, would recommend doing the same! For the bao’s we had prawn, chicken, brisket, and crab. All of them were super tasty, but the crab was my favourite, with the chicken a close second. I ordered the tahini cookie sandwich for dessert. It was an unexpected highlight, the cookie was perfectly baked and had lots of big chocolate chunks, and the ganache complemented it well without being too sweet. The above, plus two drinks came to about £90 for two of us, including tip. This was a bit on the pricier side, but I’m sure you can do it cheaper, with fewer bao’s and without drinks/dessert.

Wonderful place, I came here for an anniversary for the first time, and was not disappointed. Delicious food, lovely atmosphere and fantastic service. Our waitress was Jess, who I have to give a special shoutout to for her incredibly warm and friendly service which made our night even more special. (Her colleagues were also lovely). Everything was top-notch, what else could you want?

If you love bak buns and corn ribs, this place a must try. Great selection of small plates and brilliant for a date night.

Mr Bao is a buzzing small spot in Peckham that nails casual Taiwanese flavors with a brunch twist. Drinks: We went for two Bloody Marys: punchy, well-spiced, and a great way to kick off brunch. Small plates: The Smacked Cucumber (VG) was refreshing, full of flavor, and the Sticky BBQ Corn Ribs (VE) had this addictive sauce that made them hard to stop eating. • Brunch Dumplings: Juicy, spicy, and satisfying – a highlight. • Fried Chicken: Perfectly fried, super tender with a crisp light batter. Baos: • BEC Bao (bacon, egg, cheese) – rich, messy, and delicious a winner. • Scrambled Egg & Salmon Bao – brunchy and light, though not our top favorite. • Bao Diddley, Chicken – packed with flavor, a solid choice Price: £74.35 for everything, which feels fair for the amount and quality. The space has a casual, lively vibe with friendly service, making it great for sharing plates over cocktails.

Fantastic eatery with an amazing ambience, diverse array of delicious food options (though I only sampled vegetarian delicacies) and considerate, attentive staff. The smacked cucumber and fluffy delectable baos were probably highlights of the evening - both stole the show. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming and vibrant with excellent music throughout. Looking forward to my next return already.

MEATliquor Restaurant Queensway - Hyde Park is a trendy spot known for its stacked burgers, deep-fried mac 'n' cheese, and loaded fries. The restaurant's graffiti-covered digs provide a hip atmosphere to enjoy craft cocktails and comfort food. I had an amazing experience at Queensway Meat Liquor, and a huge part of that was thanks to Antony! From the moment we walked in, he was incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he gave great recommendations that did not disappoint. The food, as always, was top-tier—juicy burgers, crispy fries, and cocktails that hit the spot. But what really stood out was Antony’s attentiveness and friendly attitude. He checked in just the right amount, making sure we were happy without being intrusive. It’s rare to find service that genuinely enhances the dining experience, but Antony absolutely nailed it. If you’re heading to Queensway Meat Liquor, I highly recommend asking for him—you won’t be disappointed! Will definitely be coming back. Thanks again, Antony!

Wonderful en colourful place to get something to eat. We just arrived for a small holliday in London. Checked into the room (5:30 PM) and was able to get a reservation for 6:15 PM. When we arrived we were greeted and presented an available table. After ordering it was within a short time that we got to order our food. The burger we got (photo of 'Dead hippy burger') was very tasty and freshly made. We also ordered fries with the burger and those were the perfect amount of crisp and soft from the inside. The only feedback I can give is that the volume of the music that was played was very loud. We weren't able to talk normally to each other without the occasional 'huh?!' after someone said something. But overall a good experience.

My partner and have ordered from here a lot and on Sunday night we ordered through just eat. He got a burger salt and pepper fries and I ordered Tonkatsu fingers. Mine were just 4 pieces of dry chicken. Nothing at all on it and not even any separate sauce. They were £11.80 and never even got 5. The salt and pepper fries were completely devoid of seasoning. Went to just eat to complain and have still not heard back from them after 24 hours. Then to top it all off my partner noticed that at the bottom of the receipt there has been a discretionary 12.5% service charge?? For a home delivery!!

Nestled in a vibrant, wood-paneled setting with outdoor seating, Chicken Shop is the latest culinary venture from the Chick n Sours team, now partnered with Soho House. This modern take on traditional chicken shops elevates fried chicken to new heights. The menu boasts mouthwatering options like the Straight Up sandwich featuring crispy fried chicken paired with fresh lettuce and zesty mayo, as well as the Spice Up Your Life for those craving a kick of flavor.
I went to Chicken Shop and really liked it. The food was fresh and tasty. I had a chicken burger — the chicken was crispy outside and soft inside. The bun was soft, and the lettuce and sauce made it even better. The fries were nice and crunchy. I also tried the loaded fries with chicken, sauce, and some spicy powder on top — very yummy and full of flavour. The place was clean and the service was fast. Even though it was busy, the food came out hot and fresh. I had a great time here. If you like chicken, you should try this place. 5 out of 5 stars from me!

If you're after crispy, flavour-packed fried chicken in London, this is the place to be. Just great chicken and fries! All of it was fresh, hot and tasty. I got the honey soy tenders and Korean loaded fries. The Korean fries are quite spicy but in a good way! Service is also really friendly but not too overbearing either. Highly recommend coming here over the KFC down the road

Started eating my sandwich only to notice pink spots through out it. Very unfortunate as a place specializing in chicken should be efficient and accurate when cooking their chicken to ensure it is white all the way though — any other than that puts me at risk of salmonella so I had to trash it —wasted 10 pounds UPDATE: I returned to the shop and showed them the photos. They were kind about it and offered me a new sandwich or a refund, I went with refund as I had lost my appetite. They were kind about it and explained how they double fry to try and prevent that but sometimes it falls through the cracks. Improved my review as amazing customer service response

This is the second chicken shop I try and it is spacious there, clean, nice and the staff so friendly. When I was clicking on the screens to make the order, one friendly young man of the staff came up to me and told me to tell him if I needed any help. The food was amazing, the chips and the chicken burger. I will be back next time I visit London.

£5.55 for a bun with a single chicken strip that is the size of my finger. The taste was not noticeably different to KFC. Main meals are around £14. Service was next to zero - staff instructing you to go to self-serve screens, then take your buzzer and collect your food it starts buzzing. Nobody checking on you during your meal or once you’re done. Atmosphere was unremarkable - cramped tables and stalls with no notable character. Fundamentally you can get a much better experience in a range of places nearby - I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time with a visit.

Delicious thai burger with lots of veggies, the fries are crispy and a huge portion as well. And bottomless drinks on top of that. The food is not oily so we enjoyed every bite without feeling stuffed. The milkshake is almost like ice cream. The staff is extremely helpful, starting with the ordering, telling every detail about the food, later even asking us whether we need ketchup for the fries. Recommended for everybody.

Monga Fried Chicken, a popular Taiwanese chain with numerous locations in Taiwan and a few in other countries, recently opened its first European store in Chinatown. The restaurant is renowned for its exceptionally crispy fried chicken, achieved by marinating the pieces in honey before battering them. Customers can enjoy the large chicken fillets plain or opt for flavors like seaweed or spicy rub. Additionally, Monga offers nuggets and popcorn-style chicken.
Spent the weekend wandering around Chinatown with friends and got completely drawn in by the amazing smell coming from Monga Fried Chicken. I’m a sucker for a proper Taiwanese-style fried chicken, and this place did not disappoint. The chicken cutlets are massive—literally bigger than my face—perfectly crispy on the outside and unbelievably juicy inside. The plum-flavoured one was a game-changer, slightly sweet and tangy, balancing out the richness. The signature spicy chicken was addictive, packed with flavour. Even the wings were top-notch—crispy, well-seasoned, and super satisfying. Definitely pairing this with bubble tea next time!

I ordered the Chicken nuggets with plum seasoning and the Fire Dragon Bubble tea. The chicken was fresh, crispy and hot! Extremely delicious plum seasoning to give the chicken a sweet flavour. The fire dragon bubble tea was average, there are better bubble tea spots in China town. However, overall this shop is known for its Taiwanese fried chicken and it was amazing! There is a window sill and a high top bench but the shop is very small with no seating area.

Placed an order via Deliveroo. Spicy chicken and salt & pepper seasoned chicken pieces. Considering it was delivered to my door step, the chicken was tasty and not soggy. Their house special chili sauce was nice as well. The chicken piece was relatively thick compared to other places I had. McDonald's, the iconic fast-food chain that has been delighting taste buds since 1974, continues to be a beloved choice for many around the globe. With its signature burgers and fries, this culinary giant has reopened most of its locations in the UK for delivery, drive-thru, and takeaway services. While dine-in options are still on hold, Londoners can rejoice as a significant number of McDonald's outlets in Greater London are ready to serve customers with a limited menu.
Lovely staff, fresh food. But the manager didn't want to put through an employee discount even after showing proof of being an employee telling me there was no way to do it, but after asking another manager he put it on the till which showed me that the 1st manager just didn't want to do it.

I have been to other McDonald's in central with great service and presentation, here is just not up to par. Cold food and have to fight to get basics like milk for the tea. Due to the location, they will always have business but it would be kind if they could think of giving customers a better experience please.

This is my go-to spot for breakfast wherever I travel. The outlet always has plenty of seating, making it easy and fuss-free. I ordered the McMuffin with egg breakfast, opting for the set that comes with an Americano and hashbrown. While the hashbrown could be a bit more flavorful, everything else was consistent with what I enjoy at other locations worldwide. Reliable, convenient, and familiar—this is a breakfast option that rarely disappoints.

Lovely food but the rude security man didn't want to let me past him, and when I made it past, the staff didn't give me the sauce I ordered and paid for. I will be complaing to head office as it completely ruined my experience. The sauce costs them nothing but made my meal worthless. Very poor form. Do not order here. Strongly recommend that you go literally anywhere else. Preferably somewhere that doesn't stiff you on BBQ sauce.

I visited this McDonald's because it was conveniently located and closest to me at the time. The food was delicious, and the staff provided excellent customer service. However, my experience was marred by the unhygienic and dirty condition of the male washrooms, which were in a terrible state and had a strong odor. I brought this to the attention of a staff member in a white uniform, who acknowledged the issue, citing staff shortages, and assured me they would look into it. I hope the management prioritizes maintaining cleanliness in the washrooms, as it's crucial for preventing cross-contamination and ensuring food hygiene. This issue could have significant implications for staff and customer health if not addressed.

I had honey BBQ sandwich, it was delicious and well done cooked! Really enjoyed them. Moreover, I’d like to suggest offering the option to order the sandwiches without fries. We’re not big fans of fries in large quantities, and it’s unfortunate to see so much go to waste. I hope the management considers adding a no-fries or alternative side option like salad in the future.

Love my wings, especially wing stop, so been waiting a while to try Slim's. Was disappointed to say the least. Chicken wings were crispy, fab! However the sauces were really tasteless, and the buffalo sauce tasted way too vinegary. Tonkotsu Soho is a cozy Japanese eatery with a warm ambiance, featuring wooden tables and traditional wall decor. The restaurant is renowned for its delectable ramen noodles, particularly the Hakata-style ramen made with rich pork stock. Founded by Ken and Emma, who shared a deep love for authentic Japanese cuisine, Tonkotsu was born out of their desire to bring top-quality ramen to London.
I recently visited Tonkotsu had the Tiger Prawn Ramen — absolutely delicious! The broth was rich and flavorful, the prawns perfectly cooked, and the noodles had just the right texture. The atmosphere was calm and authentic, with attentive service. If you want to sit outside, be prepared to wait around 30 minutes, but it’s worth it for the vibe. Highly recommend for ramen lovers! Let me know if you’d like a version for a social media caption too.

Came here late last year for a meal before going to the theatre. The restaurant is small and quite intimate which I liked. service was great and the server was able to advise on the food. The menu is not extensive which is nice as it doesn't give too many options to pick from and it also means that the quality of the dishes they make are more consistent. I had the mushroom ramen which isn't spicy and fairly simple flavours (I was advised this by the server). i still liked it and had the option to add chilli that was on the table Portions are good and very filling

Soho Tonkatsu has quickly become one of my absolute favourite spots to eat. The food is always delicious – crispy, perfectly cooked tonkatsu with so much flavour, and the portions are really generous. Every time I’ve eaten here, it’s been consistently amazing, which is rare to find. What I love most is that it’s not expensive at all for the quality you get – it feels 100% worth the price and more. You get proper value for money without compromising on taste or presentation. The atmosphere is also a 10/10. It’s cosy, welcoming, and has such a nice vibe whether you’re going for a quick meal or sitting down to enjoy with friends. The staff are friendly and attentive, which just makes the experience even better.

Butchies is a chicken shop in Shoreditch that specializes in fried chicken sandwiches. The menu has options for meal deals, with prices starting at £6 for the original and creeping up to £10 for the epic Jenny From the Block. There are also sides such as cheesy fries, nuggets, and wings available.
Butchies Fried Chicken is hands down one of the best spots for fried chicken I've ever been to. The chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside — exactly how it should be. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and the flavor is just unbeatable. Whether you're getting a classic sandwich, wings, or a full meal, every bite is packed with taste. The sides are just as impressive — their loaded fries and slaw are top-tier, and the dipping sauces Addictive. Plus, the portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. The vibe in the store is fun and welcoming, with friendly staff who clearly care about the food and the customers. Service is quick, and everything comes out hot and fresh.

I had higher expectations, but Butchies didn't feel a whole lot different to a standard chicken stop. I doubled up on the meat, and the burger fell apart as soon as I picked it up. The service was fine. Not rude by any means. They were definitely understaffed. You need more than just two people on at lunch time. The atmosphere was bright and clinical. Overall, the fact that I travelled two busses to get here, and spent nearly £20 on a meal, left me somewhat disappointed.

Tried the chicken burger with cheese and buffalo sauce — really tasty! The burger had a nice balance of heat and flavor, and the cheese made it extra delicious. The cheese fries were great too, though I wish there was a bit more sauce. Overall, a solid and satisfying meal!

The best chicken for us German tourists, especially with that fantastic "sauerkraut"! ;) Huge thanks to the woman that served us on the evening on oct 31st 2025 for her brilliant service. She was kind, patient, and made everything perfect! We also loved the flair and the great music, such a fun experience! Thank you!

I recently visited Butchies rivington Street and was extremely disappointed with the experience. I ordered two sandwich meals with a double-up option, and the total came to a shocking £37 — far too expensive for what I received. To make it worse, the bread wasn’t even warm, which made the sandwiches less enjoyable. For the price, I expected much better quality and attention to detail. Overall, not worth the money, and I left feeling very disappointed. Definitely not planning to return.
Ermi M — Google review
I ordered chicken tenders with Buffalo Sauce, Fries, and Buffalo Sauce on the side. Chicken came without sauce and the dipping pot was so small that I had to eat half my meal without sauce. Also they are more expensive than comparable options. Never again.
Chris M — Google review
Great chicken burgers and wings. Fries are good too. The real MVP for me was the gravy sauce tho, definitely upped the deliciousness factor, goes with everything. Highly recommend. They've got some seating upstairs, clean, functional, not the most atmospheric.

Normah's is a cozy Malaysian restaurant located in the Queensway Market, offering a wide selection of traditional Malaysian and Asian dishes and drinks. The owner and chef, Normah Abd Hamid, warmly welcomes diners and shares stories about her generational recipes. The menu features essential orders such as fried chicken, laksa with king prawns, assam pedas seabass, and the highly praised roti beef rendang.
I’ve not long come back from Normah’s after having a booking at 5pm. I couldn’t even wait til tomorrow to write this review, the food was that good. I wish aunty Normah all the best in this world and the next, may Allah bless you and your family. It’s clear to see how hard aunty Normah works day in day out, and her nephew serving is very kind and helpful. My son absolutely LOVED the food, as did we all. He just had to go and thank her personally. There isn’t a single dish I wouldn’t recommend from all the dishes we tried. We got: Chicken wings and bites - so crispy and flavourful. Really juicy and tender as well! Daal and roti - this is such a yummy and comforting dish, which just goes to show there is beauty in simplicity. Prawn laksa - the best laksa I have ever had. It was extra flavourful from the prawn heads and had just the right kick. Assam pedas sea bass - I loved this so much more than I thought I would. The sauce with the white rice was something I just couldn’t stop eating. King prawn nasi goreng - again, perfectly balanced flavours, sweet, spicy, savoury. This was my husband’s favourite and he would’ve happily eaten a big plate of this alone. Beef rendang with roti - this is incredibly rich and meaty, especially with the roti. I couldn’t eat a whole portion of this alone due to the richness, but this was a necessary addition to the spread and I would get it the next time and time after that!

Amazing and most delicious experience at Normah's. Hands down, THE BEST Malaysian food I ever had, not that I'm an expert. But it was delicious, so that all that counts. The portion sizes are generous just like at home. Mine and my friend's eyes couldn't decide what to get everything sounded so good on the menu. We've been wishing and dreaming of tasting Normah's cooking for ages now and we did not get disappointed. The service is extra welcoming and special, thank you. Even though you have to try your best to book and reservations close fast, I definitely recommend trying. We will be coming back for sure. Thank you so much for your cooking and hospitality 🙏🙏
Marlena B — Google review
I'm surprised to write this post but have to be honest. Our dinner last night at Normah's was not good. It was our first time and we went just before 5:30pm and it was already packed. We wanted to do takeaways so we were happy to wait. There was only 1 chef in the kitchen and she was cooking up a storm with a packed restaurant already as well. We ordered 1 chicken mee goreng and 2 chicken nasi lemak. The mee goreng was delicious! But the Nasi lemak was incredibly salty. It was mostly the plain rice which was so salty and ruined the dish. The service was incredible can't fault it but just wished we had the food experience everyone else has been raving about. Also the portion for takeaway felt so much smaller than the dishes we saw on the table. Especially since the prices were the same. It was disappointing to say the least.
Sukriti — Google review
Came on a few occasions with a reservation, each time I came I saw people being rejected due to not having booked. I don't think it's worth coming in case there's space. Booking opens once a month and is fully booked very quickly. On the other hand for those who manage to make a booking, it's just great. The place is tiny and tables are also quite tiny, located in a very curious Queensway market (follow left to find the place with which the restaurant shares the toilets, not a huge amount of them). For drinks is recommend their lemonade, really nice and refreshing. I tried beef rendang with roti (probably best I've tried in London, both rendang and the incredibly crispy roti), nasi lemak with fried chicken (really nicely crispy, also highly recommended) and mee goreng with King prawn (which came really close to the one I tried and fell in love with in Australia). All the dishes really paired well with the Malaysian salad in starter section. I really cannot fault the cooking, it is incredible. I'd though perhaps suggest to serve more variety of starters (other than salad that works great with mains and fried chicken). I'll continue coming regularly and setting up alarm for the booking opening date/time. Probably the best Malaysian in London, would strongly recommend. I also found their prices to be quite reasonable. Yet to pay more than £50 for 2. The booking system suggests it's cash only but they're quite happy to get a quick bank transfer as well.

Normah is a hidden gem serving truly authentic Malaysian food, run by a lovely Malaysian lady and her nephew who make you feel right at home. Reservations via Google are essential as seating is limited and the restaurant’s popularity speaks for itself. This is hands down the best Malaysian food I’ve had — every dish was packed with bold, rich flavors. I started with Normah’s Crispy Chicken Wings, perfectly seasoned and fried to golden perfection — an absolute must-order. The Curry Laksa King Prawn was exceptional, with fragrant coconut broth, plump king prawns, and all the classic toppings that make a proper laksa. To finish, the Roti Beef Rendang was out of this world — slow-braised beef that melts in your mouth, paired with flaky roti and layers of aromatic spices. If you’re after authentic Malaysian cuisine in London, Normah is unbeatable.
Abdur S — Google review
Wow. Most of my experiences with Malay food is from an ex boyfriend… his mom used to make the most delicious Malaysian food and it’s the thing I miss most about the years I dated him. Normah’s has filled that nasi lemak hole in my heart. Jokes aside, the service and food here are exceptional. Everything on the menu looked so good, and when other tables dishes were coming out we were sorry we hadn’t ordered more! Will definitely be returning. Thank you all for a lovely meal!
Riley M — Google review
To get this reservation, my friends booked this table a month in advance! It’s a tiny place with only a few tables available. The roti canai was the best I’ve had in London! I also tried the vegan laksa which came with spongey tofu, beansprouts, pak choi, coconut milk and Normah’s Curry paste topped with crispy onions, spring onion and crispy mushrooms. My friends said the crispy mushrooms were better than the meat dishes they ordered! Sadly the broth was heavily overpowered by the lemongrass for me. Service is wonderful here and our waiter had a great sense of humour even whilst being rushed off his feet!

Little Bat is a trendy bar located in an off-Upper Street address, offering a mix of classic British pub vibes and modern hipness. It started as a pop-up last winter but has now found its permanent spot. The bar has a Wonderland theme, inspired by Lewis Carroll's works, with a more restrained vibe compared to its sibling establishment. The cocktail menu features both classic and forgotten favorites, making it an ideal spot for cocktail enthusiasts.
The food and cocktails were really good. I ordered the rosemary fries twice because they were perfect. I can see why others have commented on the cocktails not being that boozy, since I ordered two signature (i.e. not the low ABV ones) cocktails in an hour and didn’t feel like I drank alcohol a few hours later. I personally prefer that these days. Atmosphere on a Thursday night seemed mainly good for dates or low key hangouts. The service is also low key. No one asked how the drinks or food were until I was already paying, and there wasn’t any basic conversation at the bar. It seemed to be their general approach that day. I would’ve ordered more if it were more interesting/engaging to be there. All that being said, I probably would still go back to try more of the menu and set my expectations that there won’t be much service.

The coolest little spot with amazing service! I had my wedding reception here in April 2025 and I can't recommend it enough. The food was delicious, the drinks were a big hit (especially the spicy tequila cocktail) and everyone kept saying how great the vibes were. We didn't need any decorations because the venue itself looks great on its own! The staff went above and beyond to help us with anything we could ask for and were very responsive. They even helped us find a very last minute DJ who really pulled the whole night together. Everyone who attended told us that it was the best fun they'd had on a night out in years. If anyone's looking for a fun, easy-going wedding reception venue with exceptional service and delicious food, I highly recommend them!

I found a real gem in Islington. From the moment you walk in, you feel genuinely welcome, something rare in London these days. The cocktails are excellent, especially the Paloma and Flutter By. The food is both affordable and delicious: we had padrón peppers, calamari, and even the bread and butter were spot on. They also do £1 oysters from 5–8 pm, which is a great deal. Definitely worth a visit.

We had such a fantastic experience at Little Bat, and a huge part of that was thanks to Sasha! From the moment we arrived, he made us feel incredibly welcome. His kindness, warmth, and genuine passion for what he does really stood out and made the evening memorable. Sasha took the time to talk us through the cocktails, offering great recommendations and sharing his enthusiasm for the craft. It’s clear he loves what he does, and it made our visit all the more enjoyable. We’re already looking forward to coming back to see Sasha again and to try even more of the amazing cocktails on offer. Highly recommend paying a visit — and if you’re lucky enough to be served by Sasha, you’re in for a treat!

We had a lovely evening here last night. The bar has a great atmosphere. We were served by Sasha who was so attentive and helpful. He gave us recommendations on the food and cocktails. The cocktails were delicious and the £1 oyster was a treat! We tried most of the food on the menu - all delicious but especially the cauliflower and the fried chicken. I'd definitely recommend this bar and will be back.

What a great place! We've lived in the area for nearly 20 years and regret that we only visited for the first time tonight. It's a very cool place, but it's also very welcoming - reminded me of beloved now closed Zilouf's. Thank you to Sasha and the other staff for the warm welcome and excellent service. And of course the cocktails were great too.

Thank you Little Bat Bar for hosting us last night - perfect way to end the evening. Staff super helpful in accommodating a large group, really responsive in organising and really friendly staff on the evening itself! Really cool space & great atmosphere - can't wait to come back!

We went there Friday night for drinks and Saturday noon for brunch. This place is absolutely amazing, day and night. Brunch is exceptional. We had the chickpea and potato dish, the avocado sourdough and the brioche with butterscotch banana and mascarpone. Everything was delicious and the eggs poached in a perfect way. To top all that the DIY bloody Mary offer is genius. We had a great time and definitely going back for more. Easily one of the best places in London at the moment.

Bake Street is a charming spot in Hackney, known for its cozy atmosphere and delicious pastries and savory snacks. Founded by siblings Amirah and Feroz Gajia, this family-run establishment has become a favorite among locals. While Amirah's delectable bakes are a highlight during the week, Feroz takes over the kitchen to serve up an impressive brunch on weekends.
Love, love, love this place- makes you want to return over and over! Everything here is good, I don’t think you can really go wrong. The Nashville Hot chicken is a particular favourite! We were lucky to get the jaw a collab in august, it was delicious! All the bakes we’ve tried have been awesome.

This is a very popular brunch venue for its burgers, buns, cookies & desserts. We went highly recommended & must say we were’t disappointed. We had a smash burger, a fish cutter burger, Yangyeom Bun, Crème Brûlée cookie & Horchata custard bun, all specials of this unique local cafe. Food was as delicious as we had expected. We even found seatings in the limited outdoor space. All in all, great little joint for take aways or casual brunch.

Went to pick up a pastry as I was told they were fantastic and reasonable priced. I wasn’t sure by the look of their products they were going to be good, but I was pleasantly surprised. I got a cinnamon bun and have to admit the dough was super buttery and the ratio sugar cinnamon was perfect. The person taking the order was sort of rushing us but there were no people in the queue so it was a little annoying Will be going back to try more of their delicious pastries as the flavours sounded pretty good.

Kaieteur Kitchen Original is a cozy and compact restaurant in Elephant and Castle, serving up traditional Caribbean cuisine with a warm and welcoming ambiance. The head cook and owner, Faye, prepares lovingly homemade-style Guyanese dishes that showcase the rich flavors of the culture. One of their specialties is pepperpot, a sweet and sour stew traditionally reserved for Christmas in Guyana. The menu also features other favorites like garlic pork and pastries such as pine tarts.
This is the real deal! My mom is Guyanese and would sometimes make Pepperpot which is my absolute favourite thing to eat. I haven’t been able to find it at a takeaway in Canada but I was able to find it in London, UK - it was spectacular! My mom makes the best (she’s an AMAZING cook as per myself and everyone else) and this is on par with her. The Guyanese patties and pine tarts were delicious! I wish I lived in London even just for this alone but take my advice - the food is delectable! 😛 Wonderful staff as well.

A lot of people have recommended me to go here. Today was my first time trying their fried fish in creole sauce, spinach rice and okra and wow I’m truly impressed by the quality, freshness and love that’s gone into the food. The owner is also super welcoming and has amazing energy. They’ve gained a consistent customer. I will be back. Best food I’ve had all year! Worth everything.

Wow! I am Guyanese from NY visiting London. My brother and I happen to both be in London at the same time for business. I have heard about the food here being good, So we decided to check this out. We were not disappointed at all. First, let me say, the four ladies who were there were very friendly and they took very good care of us, and it was the authentic Guyanese experience. I like small establishments where the atmosphere is created by the people who own and run the establishment while you are there. The food is off the chain. Hands-down, this is the best Guyanese restaurant food I have tasted in a restaurant. The flavor and the quality comes close to two of the best Guyanese cooks I know, My mother and my aunt. I had the curry beef, Spinach rice, and spinach. My brother had the coconut lamb, Spinach, trace, and the pumpkin. The meat was flavored well very tender, and the curry sauce was perfect. Seasoned rice was incredible, and the pumpkin was off the chain. We happen to be there a day when they made pepper pot. The crew next to us came there specifically for that, They heard it was legendary, And the ladies behind the counter gave us in sampling. It Was perfect and made it feel just like Christmas or New Year’s Day. So, we had to try the fried chicken. The fried chicken tasted like my grandmother fried chicken. It was Guyanese perfect. If you Guyanese, you know the fried chicken is the best fried chicken anywhere and this definitely was that. It was flavored perfectly. The pepper sauce was home made and excellent and it was a nice compliment to all of the food. I asked Fay how she made it, and she makes it with the authentic recipe ingredients. We took home a piece of the rum cake/black cake, And ate it at the hotel and it was also perfect To where you can taste that the fruits were soaked for the right amount of time. Based on the flavor of the food, I can tell there’s a lot of care and time that goes in the preparation, And the ladies working, there were a wonderful, which is what makes the food so excellent. I highly recommend Kaieteur Kitchen for anyone craving a great meal. If you, Guyanese, or West Indian And you want the home experience then you have to go!

I stopped by for a snack and had the salt fish in a bun with a fresh mango and ginger juice. The lady serving me was super warm and lovely and recommended the bun as I said I wasn't that hungry. It was the perfect recommendation, super delicious, great service and great price. I'll come back to try other dishes in the future.

Catalaya S — Google review
The Place although small has a Real family owned business feel and the food reflected this. The food standard and taste was that of "Home cooked" authentic tasting which is what you want when you opt for Caribbean cuisine. The downsides was the place is too small to really eat-in and the Waiting time (Over an hour) from being to able to order and then to actually getting the food. Although if you ask me would i come back again (100% Yes) next time I would probably order ahead and not bother to eat in. All the staff was friendly, inviting and we felt welcomed, the only let down was the wait time, but I travelled from Deep West London as the food was that highly recommended and I agree, Thank you for having us, :)

This was my first time having Guyanese food and what a brilliant introduction. A small restaurant with a homely feel. It felt like dining with family even though it was my first time. They guided us through the menu and gave us some great choices. Whether vegetarian or meat, the dishes were fantastic. Particular shoutout to the oxtail though, that was super flavorful and rich. Accompanied with some lovely sorrel and finished off with delicious black cake. Can't ask for any better

Absolutely amazing meal! We had curry mutton, lamb curry with sweet potatoes and fried chicken. The flavours were incredible, the meat in both curries was super tender and the fried chicken was falling off the bone. The tomato rice that accompanied the curries was packed full of flavour and the plantain was cooked to perfection. Everything was really good quality and it’s honestly one the best meals I’ve eaten in London. Faye, the owner and chef, is so lovely and welcoming, we felt like we were guests in her home. I can’t wait to come back and try out the rest of the menu!

NO JOKE OF LEVEL OF HEAT ON THE SOUTH LONDON WINGS!!! WOW! Thank you to David and his partner for the top quality food! I got the Salt and pepper wings which were amazingly crispy! If you can handle chilli, get the south London wings, you will not be disappointed!

I've had wings many times from these guys but on my last 2 visits (pre and post lockdown!) I've had their BBQ Buttermilk Chicken Burger. OH MY GOD - probably the best chicken burger I've ever had. No joke. Juicy thigh meat in crispy batter with an amazing mix of sauces and other goodies. Paired with a side of sweet potato fries (and of course the wings for starters) and you'll be in chicken heaven.

All the guys here are super friendly and professional! We asked them to make our food extra hot and they accommodated our request to perfection. Went to visit Boxpark on the weekend to check out these guys. I DM'd them ahead of time to see if they had anything vegan on the menu and they told me they'd put something together for me. They made this amazing plantain burger with onions and chillies, their homemade BBQ sauce, lettuce, beef tomato and vegan cheese inside a vegan bun! Tasted so good I ate it before remembering to take a picture! The freshly cut chips were banging as well. Definitely making a trip up to see these guys again.

I've been here three times now and twice I've had the Chips as the side order and one time the Mac n Cheese. I guess this is just a warning to never get the Chips both times they were disgusting and inedible. Get any other side but the Chips. Okay wings.

Staff were v pleasant ! Food looked great ! Not sure if it was just the wings i got but they were just ok though 🥴 Might have to go back and try a different flavour.

I've ordered through Uber eats yesterday and I wanted to try something new so it was my first time. Eventho I was hesitant I still pushed on. I got the sticky BBQ wings, the buffalo wings and spicy south wings and I don't know where to start. The authenticity is breathtaking every flavour and smells was hitting like rocks on glass, so easy and every wing just melted in your mouth. Mainly what caught my attention is the combination of the "wet" flavours and it still had the CRISPINESS TO EVERY WING. WOW. I also ordered a Oreo milkshake it was so smooth and thick about just over the size of a coke bottle 500ml. The extra sauce/dip was rich like proper quality and smellet was amazing. The packaging came super tight eventho the driver was on a bike. The packaging also had like a style and on each boil it mentioned they are using less plastic thank usual. I would of give them 4 stars because they forgot my drink but when I called, the staff was super friendly, super quick, got my order up in about a minute and explained everything clearly. They ran out of the item and replaced it with something else. Amazing people amazing experience definitely my favourite place in Wembley and I definitely can't wait to go there with my family and friends. Thank you guys.
