French restaurant
El Bandido Bistro is a popular spot in Bogota, known for its vibrant bar scene and live music. The ambiance is set by a mix of jazz and classic oldies, creating a unique experience not commonly found in Colombia. The French-influenced restobar offers delicious food, excellent service, and live jazz performances. It's an ideal place to enjoy a meal with friends before heading to the bar area called El Enano for craft cocktails.
Absolutely loved it. Must try the beef bourguignon and onion soup. We also got the crème brûlée and roasted cambémbért cheese and those were nice. The live music and service was excellent. Will definitely try again. Should make a reservation beforehand, but sitting with the bartenders was fun. 😉

This place shocked me it was just way better then what I was expecting. Food was great, cool place and the back bar looks awesome I have to come back and try that. My photo is just of a calendar on the wall doesn’t really show the restaurant just thought it was cool.

The food was mediocre. Best item was the escargot. Did not care for any of the desserts. Service, however, was amazing.

Wow! The service and food here is very good. Our steaks came with a salad and mashed potatoes. The bartenders were very nice and the music even better. Definitely recommend!

Bandido bistro its one of th Bogotá classics, for many years it has offered consistent great experiences with food. Offering a cosy environment to enjoy a great meal or an evening of tasty cocktails with live music. Starters, we tried the Oven Camembert and the Grille Octopus. The fisrt was great, the octopus was good not great the marinade could improve. Main dishes: Asado de tira with gravy sauce and smashed potatoes (criolla potatoes). Good dish, big plate. Recomended with a shared salad. I loved the salad and the dressing a great surprise. The smashed potato’s where also just good. We also ordered the salmon with dutch sauce was good. The fries where pretty good. Desserts: Profiteroles, come with five small profiteroles great to share and chocolate. Red berries Cheese, great sauce and it comes with a huge piece.

Restaurant
Chichería Demente is a trendy and spacious restaurant located in the La Concepcion neighborhood, away from the main restaurant areas of the city. It offers a mix of traditional Colombian piqueteaderos with a touch of modern trends inspired by cities like New York. The American-born chef, Steve Haritopoulos, serves up dry-aged beef, sandwiches, grilled fish with coconut milk and ginger, and an array of seafood dishes from the open kitchen.
This is a unique gem nestled in Bogotá. The restaurant, though relatively new—about a decade old—occupies a magnificent early 20th-century house. Its menu is a delightful surprise, blending traditional Colombian ingredients with innovative culinary techniques. It's an absolute must-try.
Andres H — Google review
What a place, vibrant, atmospheric, great music, friendly staff, and great cocktails. The music was pumping and still felt like you could relax. People were also up dancing. The food was also great and I absolutely loved it.
Robert P — Google review
I've been traveling to Colombia for over a week trying different foods even outside the region. This by far was the best restaurant that I've eaten at on the trip. The customer service, the food and the vibes and everything was absolutely incredible. If I can give it more than five stars I would. If you see this on the way on your trip, make sure to stop by. You won't regret it. Thank you to everyone at the restaurant. They were so incredibly kind. I will return on my next trip!!!

Not cheap but prob best meal I’ve had in Bogota. Interesting mix of traditional, international standards and fusion twists Pancetta y Sandia is exceptional !

This is a mostly meat focused restaurant but I thoroughly enjoyed my vegetarian dishes. I ordered the artichoke salad and zucchini salad with cheese and loved them. Everyone at the table e joyed their meal and the atmosphere is great.

Came in during on a weekday as we tried to a Sunday and it was completely packed. Reservations needed on the weekend. Loved the ambience in this restaurant, our server was great, very attentive and warm. Food and drinks were great, appetizers were small, the lechona empanadas were disappointing but overall we enjoyed our visit. Would recommend 👌
Tatiana S — Google review
The place is charming, service is great, atmosphere nice but I must say the pork dishes are not as good as the beef ones and is a bit overpriced. Recommend for big parties! Try the carpaccio and “monster demente”!

Farmers' market
Paloquemao Fruit Market is a bustling local farmer's market featuring an indoor hall where visitors can find a wide variety of fresh produce, including fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, and flowers. The market offers an abundance of Colombian specialties such as the lulo, granadilla, and guanabana. Visitors can also indulge in local delicacies like tamal made from corn flour and stuffed with chicken, pork belly, rice and egg.
Honestly, I travelled all the way from Toronto Canada just to visit this fruit market for the first time! My entire trip was based on coming here everyday and eating beautiful natural fruits and natural foods from mother earth. This is the best fruit market I have ever visited !!! If you ever have the chance to visit Bogotá this market is a must visit. I would recommend to visit on the weekdays though as it is much less crowded than the weekends. But the prices are amazing and you will see so many vibrant and tasty foods you probably have never seen before. Enjoy!!!
Tyrell B — Google review
You have to come here if you enjoy fresh food markets. So many different varieties of fruit!! So fun and amazing to try. It's pricier than buying at Exito but you can purchase one of each to try. They'll overcharge you as a tourist but it's part of the experience. I highly recommend feijoa and achacha as they are delicious! Ask them to pick one that's ready to eat. The sugar apple was okay but compared to what you get in Taiwan it's not nearly as tasty. Some fruits I wish I had also gotten but didn't! - Rambutan - Sugar mangoes (small lil mangos that goes for 6.99/lb in Toronto) This market is huge btw. You could easily spend a day here.
Isabella — Google review
We enjoyed 16 types of different fruits in this market! We did not come with a tour because the timing did not fit so we just stopped at this uncle’s fruit stall. We had the most enjoyable time ever! *we told him that we have X amount of money left because we will be leaving for the airport, just give us what he deemed was appropriate:)
Jasmine N — Google review
Must visit this place as it is not far from city center. If you're visiting Bogotá, this is a must-see destination. It's the largest market in the city, offering an impressive variety of fresh, local fruits and vegetables, along with some imported products from other countries. I highly recommend it to anyone exploring the area. Stroll through the vibrant stalls and sample a range of unique Colombian fruits. You'll also find plenty of restaurants serving delicious local dishes.
Eldar — Google review
A great place to visit and experience something unique to Bogotá. If you’re wanting to just look around, buy some fruit or buy a meal there’s lots to see in this market. You could easily spend 30-60 minutes walking around and buying exotic fruits to try or visit a cafe for something to eat. It is one of the more expensive markets in Bogotá but still a fun experience.
Henry S — Google review
Brilliant market in Bogota, large in size and has ample fresh tropical fruits, vegetables, coffee and herbal products. There are plenty of places to eat at reasonable prices. We really enjoyed the atmosphere here and the locals were really welcoming. Cannot be missed if in Bogota.
Kara H — Google review
You can find fruit in fruterias that is not much more expensive. And the vendors here constantly try to rip you off. They quote prices in price per kg and then measure in pounds and use the price per kg. Many vendors excessively overcharge you if you are a foreigner, sometimes even more than supermarket prices. Go here to watch the market. But not to buy.
Rob W — Google review
I went here as a tourist doing a fruit tour. It was really cool to see the different markets: fruit, flowers, meat, etc. Inside the market felt totally safe, but the outside crowd felt a little less welcoming to tourists. I wondered why the tour guide wanted to meet somewhere else just to ride to the market together and she said it was for safety reasons. Our guide also waited for all of our rides to arrive before she left, which was nice but kind of made me feel like she knew something that I didn't. Made it home safe though and saw a cool market with local and exotic items so it was worth seeing on my trip to Bogota.

Restaurante Salvo Patria, located in the trendy Chapinero Alto neighborhood of Bogota, offers a fresh and authentic dining experience. The chefs, Juan Manuel Ortiz and Alejandro Gutierrez, previously worked with Virgilio Martinez at Central in Lima. They have brought their concept of fresh and diverse cuisine to Salvo Patria.
We went here on Friday 1st August. We saw on the app 'find me gluten free' that they were gluten free friendly and as my girlfriend is a coeliac this was most helpful. Upon our arrival (after booking a table, we recommend this) the friendly and professional staff sat us down and one gentlemen recommended a few house dishes to us and told us which dishes on the menu werent safe (it was very few). We ordered 2 of the specials which were pork ribs and a tomato salad with other various delightful vegetables in and it was delicious, we also ordered an extra side of their traditional roasted potatoes as well which came with a lovely thick cheese sauce. The food was immaculate, the service was fantastic and even though there was a slight language barrier, we were still able to convey our gratitude at exceptional food, it was the best pork rib I've ever had. Thank you for being one of our food highlights of our trip to South America.
James B — Google review
This restaurant serves excellent food—creative, made with local produce, and original without feeling pretentious. The dishes are simple, but not so simple that you could easily pull them off at home. The meat and fish dishes were the least exciting, lacking the spark of the other plates. As for the cheese with figs, that was just a silly choice on my part. The rest of the small dishes, though, were interesting and enjoyable. Overall, it was a good experience, though a bit pricey for the context. That said, I’ll be back. The place itself is stunning—absolutely gorgeous and beautifully decorated. The music was fantastic, too: Colombian tracks from a mix of styles that really added to the vibe. The only problem? It was way too loud for a restaurant, and when I asked if they could turn it down, they simply said, this is the volume we want.

Amazing experience!! The vibe of the space is perfect and the food is all focused on Colombian ingredients with a rotating menu. The serves gave suggestions which all combined well and was the perfect amount of food. Photos of the arepa and the crudo

Restaurant
Hache de Hamburguesa is a casual and relaxed restaurant known for its burgers, finger foods, and desserts, along with a selection of beers. While some customers consider it one of the best burger joints in the city, others have mixed experiences. The prices are on the higher side but are justified by the quality of food and service. On the downside, parking can be an issue.
Best burger in town hands down. The only business that will hand you a burger with fries and without the damm soda lol
Rafael M — Google review
Hache de Hamburguesa: High expectations, mixed experience. Not a cozy place, but outstanding fries, especially the Cheese & Fries. Burgers impress with spectacular meat and original flavor combos. Disappointing service – no recommendations for first-timers. Desserts fall short. I might opt for delivery; the burgers are worth it, but the in-person experience didn't win me over. 🍔🏠
Pedro ( — Google review
Burgers that are value for money. The burgers that my wife and I tried were excellent. The buns were firm and held the burger together. The patties were well seasoned and had good flavours. The French fries were good too, the onion rings were not so great. The service is crisp and friendly. Would go back again.
Girish V — Google review
The meat and bread are very very soft. Almost luquidious. At least, you don't need a knife, nor even teeth for that matter. The fries are more substantial though. Definitely not high on salt and spicy. The picture is of the Chili 'Burger'.

Sitio Casa Candelaria is a delightful gem that offers an eclectic dining experience, where vintage radios and vinyl records create a nostalgic ambiance. The menu features traditional Colombian dishes like the Arroz Mixto, which combines chicken confit, pork loin, and bacon with rice sautéed in vegetables—an intriguing twist reminiscent of Asian fried rice. Guests rave about the stunning art pieces that adorn the walls, making it a perfect spot for photography enthusiasts.
A brilliant nook with the coolest atmosphere and exceptional food. I had an extraordinary ajiaco (shown here) and brevas w/ arequipe (also shown) which were genuinely scrumptious. Extremely kind and attentive service. Eat here. Period!

Amazing experience, the food is very good but the location is stunning! Amazing art pieces all around the place, I love it and couldn't stop taking photos. The waiter is very polite and the food was traditional and good tasting. I definitely recommend this to everybody, the prices are a bit high but worth it. I wouldn't eat steak here just traditional dishes because for steak there are better options in the neighbourhood. Compliment to the cook :)

MASA 105 is a popular bakery, cafe, and pastry shop located in Bogota. Founded by sisters Silvana and Mariana Villegas, who previously worked in New York City restaurants, MASA 105 offers a wide range of delectable treats from pastries like NYC-style doughnuts to sandwiches, tartines, and eggs. The establishment has three locations on calles 70, 81, and 105.
I’ve gone to MASA in the morning after a workout to eat their scrambled eggs and their green smoothie. Best scrambled eggs and smoothie in the area. It’s also a good spot to get some work done if you’re working remotely, try their salads!

Another great bakery in Bogota with fresh sourdough bread, a great selection of foods and a bright interior (+ a nice outdoor patio). I’ve been to this Masa multiple times and really like it for their food and atmosphere - both for breakfast or lunch. It’s one of the nicest Masa locations I know and has lots of seating and is always bustling with people. I would give it 4 stars, just because there’s a few things that could be improved. The main thing is service. Despite seeming to have a lot of staff, it takes a long time to order and sometimes we had to ask multiple people before someone took our order. And no one comes by again to ask if you want any additional food or drinks, even if you’ve been sitting there with empty drinks or table for a while. Usually I don’t care so much, but I really noticed it here. Regarding breakfast, I really like the shakshuka (with an extra order of bread) and the avocado toast. The pancakes looked really nice as well. I tried the French toast - it was ok, but not my favorite. When it comes to drinks, their coffee is good, but their almond milk isn’t the best. It was foamy, but it made the coffee a bit bland in my opinion. Aside from that, I can highly recommend everything from their bakery. The bread is really great!

The best scrambled eggs I have ever tried, so moist and fluffy. The sourdough bread and pastries are all very delicious! They have everything you need for a perfect brunch. Highly recommended. Jeisson was our server the first time I visited and he was amazing. Diego was my server the next day ( I had to go back again) and he was very attentive and so very patient with our large party. Thank you team MASA for the high quality products and service you provide on a daily basis. Keep up the excellent work!

Best pastries and coffee in Bogotá. This place became a favorite to us during our visit to Colombia. They have a good variety in their menu for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Pastries are awesome as well as their coffee. Kudos to Ivan, the barista, as he is quick, crafty and know what he is doing (the only one in charge of the coffee area with hundreds of orders per day and he delivers!). Breakfast burger was a favorite as well as the fruit bowls, fresh squeeze mandarin juice and French toast. Great quality and great service. Keep it up Masa, we'll be back!

Best breakfast and brunch in Bogota. Super recommended: The Tartine de aguacate & huevo; Danish de pecans & caramel and of course the Flat white or the cappuccino. AMAZING!!!

Above and beyond! The place was super busy and they ran out of some dishes however it didn't feel like an issue, the server came in handy with her suggestions.

1. The food is good, 2. Services are good too, but the washroom was in maintenance during our visit, while there was not replacement measures. The rest are good. 3. The atmosphere is great, a good place to have chat or reading or just chill; 4. We order 2 dishes with 1 fruits juice and 1 coffee cost at 62000 COP (16USD). Recommended to come.

Home Burgers is the talk of the town in Bogotá, and for good reason! This local burger chain has quickly gained popularity with its fast-casual dining experience that emphasizes high-quality, locally sourced ingredients without breaking the bank. With a cozy and rustic atmosphere, it's no wonder that burger enthusiasts flock to their locations. Home Burgers offers a straightforward menu featuring delicious single or double patties topped with cheese and bacon, accompanied by perfectly seasoned fries.
I chose their Not-a-Burger. I didn’t expect the healthiest burger in the world since it’s a restaurant, but I was tired of eating meat. New to the city, I was glad to find this place that offered plant-based meat. I was skeptical about how it would taste, but it was actually really good and I wasn’t eating meat. I’ll probably be back.

The veggie burger was good, but they didn't mentioned the cheese inside the Portobello mushroom, so this is not vegan friendly. It had a good taste, but definitely not a healthy choice. The chips were pretty good, service and facilities are pretty good too ✌🏼
David S — Google review
Great burger in town! If you are from the USA, the food tastes like In-N-Out without the spread and Animal Style fries. But overral a delicious burger! Juicy in singles, doubles, veggie and chicken. And you can sit anywhere you can because it is a really popular location, specially on lunch hour. No parking.

One of the best value for money burgers I've tried in Colombia. The burgers are simple yet super tasty. The buns are fresh and the patty is moist and tasty. The burger is wrapped in a butter paper pouch making it an easy eating experience. The fries and drinks are a seperate order. The quality and portion size of the fries are very good too. Overall a very good option to satisfy your burger cravings.

Good place to pass by and enjoy a healthy burguer. They offer a lot of options with fresh vegetables and meat options, including a vegan alternative. The fried potatoes are amazing. Also, the place is very comfortable and quiet. Completely recommended.

Home burger is a competitive burger joint with a nice environment and a fast service. You can make your order from your table online and they will bring it to your table in an average of 10-15 minutes. This one has a nice location close to different places and parks. Recommended for a quick bite. The entrance in this specific location is kinda small for a well known restaurant. Recommend overall. They also do deliveries in casa you just want to order delivery.

Located 40 kilometers from the legendary Lake Guatavita, which is linked to the fabled El Dorado, Bogotá Beer Company's brewery has quickly turned its gold-colored beer into a fortune. The atmosphere is fantastic and the service is efficient, with friendly bartenders and good food. While some suggest adding more TVs, it offers a great pub-like experience with a lively atmosphere during events like the Copa America final.
Great tasting beer at a little more cost than other national brands. Located in fancy T zone with other shopping. Great place for guys to sit and pass the time while wife or girlfriend is going broke saving money. I love the soft 80’s music they play outside.
Colin — Google review
Really good little beer bar with some great artisanal (craft) beers on tap. My personal favorite is the monserrate roja... Even tried my last one, michalada style, with fresh lime and a salted rim. Beautiful beer! We also liked that they had an actual bar, replete with barstools and a fully functional bartender... Might seem odd to point that out, but many bars in Colombia have no bar seating (table seating seems much more customary here). In short: really good casual bar with really good, really cold beer. Cheers!

The chicken wings were good not amazing. My boyfriend liked the most spicy sauce but the other less spicy were very vinegary. The service was bad. There was only space outside and I ask for them to change us when there was a table inside -never happened. When we left there was plenty of space inside. Also they have this sexualized sign. Buffalo wings is always nice to go to. They offer a large variety for all tastes. I consider them to be good and tasty, though I feel they are overpriced vs the quality. Restaurant
El Habanero Pollo Peri Peri has quickly made a name for itself since its inception two years ago, introducing the vibrant flavors of traditional Portuguese Pollo Peri-Peri to Colombia. This delightful eatery is particularly famous for its fried chicken burger, which boasts a perfectly crispy exterior and juicy interior, thanks to daily marination in an array of herbs and spices. The burgers are served on freshly baked brioche bread and accompanied by artisanal sauces that add a unique twist.
Do yourself a favor a make it to this restaurant ASAP. The wonderful smell will reach your nostrils as soon as you get out of the taxi. Please, and I should insist, do not be discourage by the line outside the door. They are so fast, it was a probably 7 min queue from beginning to sitting down at a table. First of all, can you just say STYLE ! The whole place is extremely thought of, vibrant colors, perfect music and smiling employees are the great setting for an outstanding experience. THE FOOD !!!!! OMG OMG OMG I probably have not tried a more tender chicken in my whole 33 years of living in this earth. As soon as you sink your teeth into this wonderfully-marinated bird, you will be craving more and more. The arrange of sauces are insanely good. I settle for the Peri-Peri for myself but the group of people I went with ordered a few others. Guava-BBQ, lime and herbs and pineapple with cilantro .... ummmm yes please. I freaking love sauces. Have a mentioned how tender this chicken is ? I am a different-sauce type of guy, however, the only thing that I like more than sauces are sides and this place did not disappoint. Please, I repeat, please order the coconut rice, the arepa de chocolo, corn on the cob, sweet plantain and a side of beans. It would be a wise idea to bring a couple of people with you. The Prices are super approachable, $63,000 for a whole bird plus half of another one, 4 scrumptious sides and a huge soft drink. Great deal, Great Food, Great time. If you don't believe me, try it for yourself. You'll thank me later. I was extremely hungry and forgot to take picture, but I'll sure be back before i leave Bogota because I'm still dreaming about this chicken.

The chicken is really good. It's something different than other brands in Bogota. The taste of the seasoning is exciting and delicious. The facilities are also nice. Also, we ordered a hamburger and it looked terrible, the bread was cheap, the potatoes were chewy, etc., etc. Do not go, I do not recommend it.
