The best vibe on this beach. Amazing hospitality, incredible shisha (probably one of the best we had), good drinks and family friendly. The feeling of sand in your feet while relaxing in comfortable seating, enjoying great food with music that just the right decibel to keep up the energy but allow conversations.

Highly don’t recommend. Please think twice or more before visit this cafe. The food was dry and looks like ready made maybe in the morning? After we ordered not even 10mins all the food is served…. The chicken was so dry and their grilled chicken wings is so so cold…. Feels like it doesn’t even reheat before serve…. Disappointing

Disappointing Experience With Staff Behaviour I visited Yellow Beach Café in Langkawi recently to meet friends visiting from overseas. Since my friends had already ordered drinks, I simply joined them to chat. Later in the evening, I came again with a different group, and they too had already purchased their drinks. Surprisingly, the staff came over and insisted that I must buy something, stating that it was my “second time” sitting without ordering. This was embarrassing and completely unnecessary—especially when I was part of a group where orders had already been placed. If the café has a mandatory purchase policy, it should be clearly mentioned at the entrance or on the menu. No customer should feel singled out or humiliated, especially when they are with people who are already paying customers. Cafés and beach bars everywhere welcome groups, even if not every single person orders something, and I expected the same level of hospitality here. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression. I hope the management reconsiders this approach, as it spoils what could otherwise be a pleasant beachside spot.

You have to come here for the vive. It's close to the sea. We came here very late to celebrate my son's birthday. Lucky that we got the food. Thanks to the French Manager. Food was great. The chicken patty in the burgar was too thick to consume in whole. We also tried the pizza, salmon fish, prawn plater and chips - all the meals were good, can't say great. But we enjoyed the time a lot. 😄😄❤️❤️

It’s a great place for families and travelers to learn and enjoy together. I saw the lady mermaid dancing show also. Its very attractive. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Langkawi!

A truly beautiful place! 🌿 We didn’t expect to see so many different species and for the whole complex to be designed so nicely. You walk through a jungle with parrots flying around, then move on to various sections with different animals. The highlight is definitely the two tunnels – one where you can see penguins and another with a mix of large fish.

Overall, my visit to Underwater World Langkawi was enjoyable, and it's a well-maintained attraction. If you have never been to a large aquarium before, you will likely be very impressed by the variety of marine animals and the fantastic underwater tunnel. Seeing sharks and giant stingrays swim over your head is a great experience. The penguin section was also a fun highlight. However, the main issue is the price. The entrance fee of RM 60 for foreigners feels very high for what is offered. While the experience is good, it is not spectacular enough to justify this cost, especially when compared to other attractions in Langkawi or even larger aquariums in other parts of the world. Verdict: If you are new to this kind of attraction and don't mind the cost, you will have a good time. But for seasoned travellers or those on a budget, the RM 60 ticket price is not worth the money. You could likely spend that money on a more unique Langkawi experience.

Here we can see various species of animals especially the marine animals. For local tourists, the ticket price is RM 50 if we buy it at the counter. Better buy the tickets through online for the better price. In my opinion, the penguins here are very interesting

Underwater World Langkawi is a great place for kids! We visited recently, and our favorite part was definitely the penguins 🐧. The entry fee for international tourists is a bit high, but it’s worth visiting if you have children. Plus, it’s just a short walk from Cenang Beach!

Underwater World Langkawi is a wonderful indoor attraction, especially if you’re visiting with children or want to escape the heat or rain. The highlight for us was definitely the tunnel walkway where you can see sharks, giant stingrays, and other sea creatures swimming above you. The penguins were also a big hit with the kids – they were adorable and very active during feeding time! The place is clean, well-maintained, and informative with plenty of educational panels. It’s not too big, so you won’t feel overwhelmed, and it’s stroller-friendly too. Great stop for about 1-2 hours of fun and learning. Highly recommended if you’re in Langkawi!

Langkawi Underwater World is one of the main highlights on the island. It features a wide variety of sea life, giving visitors a close-up look at many fascinating marine creatures. Beyond that, you can also see penguins, otters, flamingos, and parrots. Overall, it’s a nice place to visit when in Langkawi. The only downside is that the ticket price is on the higher side — hopefully locals can enjoy better rates to further promote tourism in Langkawi.

We had such a lovely dinner here last night! The spring rolls were light and crispy, and the grilled fish with vegetables was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Everything tasted homemade and beautifully prepared. The staff were amazingly attentive - friendly, prompt, and genuinely caring, which made the whole experience even better. Will surely get back here for great food and wonderful service!

I am a restaurant manager by vocation so I’m extremely critical. This is 5 star hospitality, Rebecca and her team looked after us like regulars from the second we stepped into the restaurant from the first meal to our return. We had squids & crab the first night, chicken satay & clay pot grouper the second time. Great cocktails, at a very reasonable price. It was monsoon season and Rebecca gave us a lift back to our hotel after dinner. I really have nothing but good things to say about Putumayo; great experiences, thank you!

I wanted a BBQ by sea side and my little princess wanted to have prawn or lobstar. I searched by sea side but at that day it was not available.Then one shopkeeper named yhe putumayo restaurent...I looked in to my google map and found the restaurent. Went there and found the live fishes.I choose some king prawn and fried rice...The restaurent was a very well known restaurent.They had a fird few yr ago.then they re built it.It is owned by a chainese owner.And inside the restaurent i found a gem ornament shop. So.if you want to gift your beloved a memorable unique gift it may be an option.the food was fresh and well cooked.there service was good and the decoration was also good.It was not too much crowded place when i visited.Its a good place to have a dinner.But yes check out the price of food before ordering....

This is a real treat. We experienced picking a large mud crab out of the tank, then freshly cooked and delivered to the table where the waiter was so friendly and accommodating. They help remove the meat from the crab as without the knowledge and skills is quite a task. We ordered Salted Egg Crab, Fried Squid, rice and some cocktails. The experience we had was well worth what we paid. If you are looking to treat yourselves then definitely pay this a visit. The staff and atmosphere make this a brilliant place to enjoy an evening.

We ordered live tiger grouper fish, steamed in a clay pot, apparently their signature dish. It was outstanding. It tasted better than the Cantonese style steamed fish. It was not salty, and the texture of the fish exquisite. The live fish was not cheap, but on the flip side of the coin less than half of what restaurants in west coast USA, HK, and Vancouver BC would charge for similar sized fish. The other dishes we ordered were well done and of great value. The interior was recently remodeled, modern, and pleasant.

Super chill seaside bar behind Orkid with amazing live bands! And your drinks come in their own little chilling buckets. Drinks aren't too pricey - about RM20 for a pint. Pizzas are thin and crisp and superbly done. Service is excellent. Definitely non-halal. Yeah.

Very nice bar with view on the beach and sunset. You get free snacks as long as you are sitting there. The staff is very well organized! Mojitto was not the best i had but it was fine.

I enjoyed the sunset during my visit. Food is western style. The drink is cheaper as duty free state. No tax at all. Don't take ur meal near the exist as people will smoke there and you will smell it. The staffs are friendly, the toilet is clean, the food is okay. Overall I enjoyed that day I visited Langkawi. The music is good. Mostly this shop customer are from tourists. I spent RM 120 + RM10 tips for the dinner.

Breathtaking veiw of the beach and good taste of music. Nice vibe and crowd. Thier pizza is average, I did not like their deep fried prawns that much. The service is completely bad. We ordered twice for the drinks and they didn't bring us any. The other night they totally forgotten one of the foods! as the place was not busy at the time even. The good point is you can watch the football games in this place.

Great selection of drinks and food including vegetarian options. Right on the beach so great place if you want to watch sunset. Attentive staff. Most of the area is outside with a covered area out the back so just be aware of this Is weather is bad they play football on tv but not in a loud in your face way.

Was recommended this place by a friend who frequents here on a regular basis. Pizza, pasta and cocktails - what more could you want! Has a seated area under cover with fans and a big open aired area looking out onto the delightful white sandy beaches. Came in the evening to watch the sun set but unfortunately it was cloudy but a great view nonetheless. Beers come in 4 sizes, small, large, extra large and jug. Tiger beer is very reasonably priced compare to UK pint prices. Each beer comes in its own little ice bucket to keep it nice and cool which is a fantastic touch! Also had some nachos which were tasty and again, reasonably priced. Have been recommended the fillet mignon which I'm hoping to return to try another time. Overall, a great place right on the beach front, brilliant value and a even better views. Thoroughly recommend.

We went in late afternoon on holiday window and owner is very kind, and open kitchen for us lately. The dishes are no pork and provide seafood as main course. The medium size portion is incredibly served for min 3-4 ppl. Taste is good. Services also acceptable. The best dish is prawn butter fried and Malaysian fried noodle.

We came to this place for dinner and at 7:30pm it’s almost full house. The boss told us there’s no lala available for tonight. So we ended up ordering squid, chicken, vegetables as you can see from the images I took. A bit salty if you are not used to it. If you can tolerate salty then the food is also tasty and yummy. Overall we had these dishes for our dinner and the price was reasonable. I personally enjoyed tonight dinner.

Despite the food was good, atmosphere was not the best and the overall hygiene is a Question mark, but this is part of the experience 👌 😀 😄 😉.. i tried really good food there.

Just waddled back to our house after a brilliant feast...clay pot chicken curry... fantastic...fresh veggies... sides..all great...a favourite with local people in the know... lucky to have had this restaurant recommended to us..start of the main st ....side note... All our favourite breakfast, lunch.dinner options are at this end of town... generous meals makes this place great value too but it's the quality that will make you return...

Nice seafood restaurant, outdoors but loads of fans to keep you cool. We had the live fish (tiger grouper) fried in three flavour sauce, clams with spring onion and ginger, salt and pepper squid and nestum prawns. The fish and the clams were great, the squid okay, the prawns virtually flavourless and a bit mushy.

Staff super happy and amazing. The food wS really really good. Especially the beef hot plate. The place is very much a beach side cafe rather than high end but is so worth a visit. A great bar to sit on the beach, a bit further away than the really touristy part. From 5 to 6 its happy hour (buy 2 of the same drink, get 1 free). At night there is a great fire show that happened every night, with nice beanbags to sit in. Quick and efficient staff, and you can pay by card. Food is expensive and not worth it

The bar is on the beach. Seat down over looking the view is simply relaxing. Order a cool beer and a light snack. The price for food is over charged. Alcoholic beverage price is reasonable since is located at duty free island. Location is great at chenang beach a d near to many restaurants and on the spot. The is a live fire show which is one of the best entertainment. Watching the show with the sky getting dark and turn to night. Two sessions of fire show available. Please give them tips after the hard work. The music and play all the time and during the show, song will play accordingly to the act.

We loved this place so much while in Langkawi we went at least three times during our stay. The prices are reasonable for a beach front venue, the nightly fire show was really cool and also the food was great. The satay was a particular favourite but the burgers were also delicious. Staff were also friendly and attentive.

Crazy nice sunset fire show. Drinks are about in line with what you can expect to pay around these parts. Happy hour 5-6 buy 2 get 1. The fire show and sunset is worth just good and getting even one drink and chilling out.

Pantai Cenang & Night Market – A Food Lover’s Paradise! I absolutely love Pantai Cenang! And if you're a food lover, don’t miss the night market. It’s full of delicious local snacks, seafood, and unique treats. A perfect place to enjoy the beach vibes and try amazing food at night!

Nothing exceptional as we have seen more vibrant and haooe ing markets in Goa and even our very own Noida. Food options are limited for Vegetarians but Iced Milo is awesome.

If you are vegetarian just go there for the vibes. Most of the food is non-vegetarian. The fruit juices were nice. Surprisingly we also got not bad mango sticky rice. Definitely a cost effective way to fill your tummies

Strolling through the Pantai Cenang Night Market was an absolute highlight of my Langkawi trip. The atmosphere is lively, with the aroma of sizzling street food filling the air and colorful stalls lining the streets. I indulged in delicious Nasi Lemak wrapped in banana leaves and couldn’t resist the sweet Apam Balik pancakes. Beyond the food, there were unique handmade crafts and souvenirs that captured the local culture beautifully. The market operates from around 6 PM, and it’s best to arrive early to beat the crowds. A must-visit for anyone wanting to experience authentic Malaysian street life!

Love the night shopping as it is more cooling. There is also a food truck hawker stores here and there are tables and chairs for dine in. But it’s a bit limited seating. Overall, the food sold here reasonably priced and very tempting.

Is quite small (about 10 merchants) , some of the places have very good food and ridiculous (small) prices. The tables and chairs are low quality, also the cleaning is not the the most desired. But is a must, I recommend to try it at least once. Tom Yum, MI Goreng, etc

Sunset here is awesome! Beanbags are dreamy. Music is banging...literally, its so loud you can barely talk to your neighbour. But we loved it! Talking is boring anyway.

Brilliant place, we first popped in for iced coffees and they had OAT MILK yayyyy!! The atmosphere was great, so stylish and the coffees were delicious! Next morning we went in for breakfast/brunch and had eggs benedict and egg & avocado on toast, there was a lovely tzatziki dip and pesto on the side as well as a fresh salad garnish. Delicious. And the (hot) oat flat whites were made beautifully and were close to tasting like speciality coffee. Probably the best coffee we’ve tried in there area so far. Wonderful place, staff were friendly and spoke really good English and the ambience was just right. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

one of the few places in Lankawi serving food that I was completely satisfied with. The chef truly puts effort into his food and knows his craft. The waiting staff is also friendly. Would visit again 10/10.

Food was insane and authentic Japanese Cuisine, especially the Unagi, Curry and Udon were amazing. Very cozy relaxing atmosphere and the sweetest people. Would defenietly come again! Staff was really helpful and kind.

The restaurant shares space with the hotel we were staying at. We were checking in late, we were very hungry and the restaurant was about to close. But the staff took our order as we checked in to the hotel and while we got our luggage to our room they prepared our meal. It was excellent. Food, service, ambiance and the chef Pak (not sure if that is the correct spelling) even came out to check on us and we had a couple of drinks at the bar together after the restaurant closed. 5 STARS!!
