Cocktail bar
Step into the old-timey ambiance of Fat Cat, a laid-back watering hole that offers classic cocktails and regular live jazz music. This cozy spot near Place du Capitol takes you on a journey back to the 1920s with its warm and intimate setting. Sip on carefully crafted delicious cocktails while being serenaded by jazzy tunes.
This place is a must! As a solo female traveler I felt very welcome at this woman owned establishment! Cannot say enough good things about this bar other than it rivals the top spots in the world’s best bars! You must try the olive martini and anything else the bar team recommends. Don’t walk, Run here. Be mindlful that during summer hours they may be closed on Sunday.

This is a cocktail 🍸 bar. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the place has a cozy 🕯️ and inviting atmosphere, making it a great spot for a date 💑 The cocktails change regularly, keeping things interesting. I definitely suggest giving it a try! 🙋🏻‍♂️ ( I usually pay around 30 euros per night)
Mhamad — Google review
Great cocktails. Lovely staff and a dark but very nice interior. The cocktails are around 12e each and every week there are 6 new recipes. So not very cheap but very enjoyable. I definitely recommend the place.
Dennis B — Google review
Great atmosphere, and the staff was very friendly. Their cocktails are like nothing I’ve had before and were delicious.
Katarina S — Google review
Verry tasty cocktails. Friendly service. Not cheap but totally worth it. Order from the menu or ask the waiter for a suggestion or something of your taste. 👌

Absolutely amazing place with delicious cocktails and very friendly staff. Wish I could have stayed longer! Please try the espresso martini if you're looking for something sweet with a good kick before heading out.

Live music venue
Le Bikini is a renowned club in Toulouse, known for hosting international headliners and various themed events. Originally located by the Garonne, it was relocated to the Ramonville's event hall after being damaged in the tragic explosion of the AZF factory in 2001. Since 1983, this concert venue has been a hotspot for music enthusiasts, offering over 200 concerts annually covering diverse musical genres.
I saw Caravan Palace here in Dec 24 , Le Bikini is very very well run venue. The line to get in took up the parking lot . I was at the back , inside in under 4 minutes, all electronic tickets . Only a few staff that served me spoke English. That didn't matter , great service with bar and food service This is a great venue , to use . Le Bikini honesty, puts a lot of other venues to shame . The people here , really put in a great effort and show .

staff favour guys on steroids with water pistols over people who respond. also if you like macbook music, you’ll love it here

I went here to see Brazilian legend singer, composer, musician, actor Seu Jorge perform ... Fantastic ! - great, friendly staff - clean bathrooms - spacious - open air patio under the trees - super accessible by bike path along the tree-lined midi canal - great acoustics - great lighting - fantastic mezzanine

I've been at Le Bikini for the first time for a DJ set and the expectations were high because everyone told me how good it is. It's even better. One of the best sound systems in the world. Amazing crowd. Nice people only. Good visual and light. Please take me back!

Awesome venue, love that they have a decibel meter so you can plan ahead with earplugs. There are no veloToulouse bike stops which irks me, though

really big place with different vibes, some chill some party. lots of games to play such as petanque and babyfoot, has a pool. some tapas such as the squid was really delicious but others like the padron peppers and patatas bravas were cold and too oily. service was okay, had many different servers, some nicer and more competent than others. overall, the experience was nice :)

Disco club
Nestled along the picturesque Garonne River in Toulouse, "Le Cri de la Mouette" is a beloved venue that captures the hearts of both locals and visitors alike. This vibrant spot is renowned for its lively atmosphere, where live concerts create an energetic backdrop for unforgettable evenings. Just a stone's throw from the bustling Place du Capitole, it stands out among other popular bars like Le Florida and Fat Cat.
My kinda place to party…cosy, down-to-earth, friendly, real, great music, just dirty enough, mixed crowd, I’m late thirties and British and I felt great in here for all 6 hours… I was even compelled enough to take a souvenir plastic cup home with me on the 6am plane! 💥
Nell S — Google review
Great ambience, small but not overcrowded. Very nice DJ sessions, and all inside a boat!
José C — Google review
Came here on our holiday and wanted to find the best 'underground house' music venue we could. I've grown up and had the opportunity to go some iconic club nights in the UK, such as back to basics leeds, sankeys in manchester, Trade in London etc and was looking for a similar club atmosphere...a bit of research led me to Le Cri de la Mouette and my partner and I can honestly say we have had one of our best nights out...full stop. From the moment with security, to the entrance/bar staff and other party goers it was such a nice atmosphere. The music was to notch, quite deep house but with some eclectic bits thrown in for good.measure, but it really is the people you meet that make a night special and.we met so many. Made we wish I lived in Toulouse
Sam W — Google review
Pretty nice concept. An unusual and attractive place. Both the music and the DJs are cool. The staff is okay, and the prices are affordable. Please clean the areas around the boat.
Miguel J — Google review
Crowded at the end of the night entrance is 10 euros mostly techno music not bad for one time visit
Mohammad F — Google review
nice admosphere and staff bit small but often good techno artists and it adds to the old boat experience I guess 😁😎
Pierre C — Google review
Good place in general. Have to be early there or you are gonna wait a long time. It is also a bit more pricey than I would expect of a place like that.

Fresh food market
The Victor Hugo Market in Toulouse is a historic covered market with 88 stalls offering premium fish, meats, cheeses, and other foodstuffs. It's a foodie paradise featuring specialty vendors like Maison Garcia for sausages and foie gras, Chez Betty for cheese, and Busquets for artisan chocolates. The upper floor hosts five restaurants while the market's watering holes like Electro Bar and Bar des Amis offer drinks to accompany your purchases.
Victor Hugo Market, located in downtown Toulouse, offers a comprehensive selection of French and European food products, including popular beers and wines. I tried various cheeses, salamis, and fresh oysters, complemented by a selection of red and white wines. Ample seating is available on the second floor to accommodate groups of all sizes. I will totally visit the market during my next trip to Toulouse.
Nguyen N — Google review
Great selection of meat, cheese, seafood, fruits and vegetables. Local produce mainly and imported food. Lovely restaurants on second floor service local specialties. Try the oysters!
Yvonne S — Google review
Victor Hugo Market is easy to find and very pleasant to explore. The outdoor area is lined with fresh fruits and vegetables — I even spotted some porcini mushrooms (planned to buy them later, but they were sold out by the time I came back 😂). Inside, you’ll find all the classic European market goodies — cheeses, meats, olives, and more. I was amazed by a beautiful little cake for €4 — couldn’t resist buying it, and the vendor even gave me a lovely box for it. At the far end, there’s a fresh seafood section with oysters, salmon, and all kinds of seafood. I chose a dozen oysters for €18 plus €2 for opening — €20 in total. Slightly salty, incredibly fresh, and so delicious that all twelve disappeared in just a few minutes!
Albert X — Google review
Typical french market , long established. So many choices of stalls for products sourced locally. Very friendly and helpful shop keepers. The place is crowded with locals. The choice of French fromage , wines and patisserie is mouth watering. I keep coming back to the place.
Rajesh N — Google review
Amazing market that is clean and have a wide selection of quality food and produce. There is a big car park upstairs and the parking lots are much wider than the normal ones in the city
Ken A — Google review
This is the largest and most renowned covered market in Toulouse, celebrated for its fresh produce, regional delicacies, and upstairs restaurants that make it a culinary hotspot. Named after the famous French writer Victor Hugo, the current building was completed in 1959, though a market has operated on this site since the late 19th century. It's a central gathering place for locals and visitors alike, offering everything from meats, cheeses, and seafood to wine and pastries.
Seokjin H — Google review
The Victor Hugo Market in Toulouse is an absolute feast for the senses, offering a vibrant and authentic taste of French gastronomy. From the moment you step in, you're enveloped in a bustling atmosphere filled with incredible sights and aromas. The market truly excels in its fresh produce section, with stalls brimming with an impressive array of colorful fruits and vegetables. It's clear that quality and freshness are paramount, making it a fantastic spot to pick up ingredients for a home-cooked meal or simply enjoy the vibrant display. Inside the main market hall, the offerings become even more enticing. The cheese stalls are a highlight, showcasing an incredible selection of local and regional cheeses. The sheer variety, from soft and creamy to aged and pungent, is a cheese lover's dream, beautifully presented and often adorned with little red flowers, adding to their charm. The knowledgeable vendors are often happy to offer advice and samples. For meat and charcuterie enthusiasts, the market does not disappoint. You'll find an extensive range of sausages, terrines, and other cured meats, alongside fresh cuts, all impeccably displayed and promising high quality. Beyond the raw ingredients, the market also boasts prepared foods that are perfect for a quick bite or a gourmet picnic. The selection of empanadas (both chicken and spinach) and chicken croquettes looked incredibly tempting, offering a delicious and convenient option for lunch. Whether you're a serious foody, a curious traveler, or just looking for high-quality local produce, Marché Victor Hugo is a must-visit in Toulouse. It's not just a market; it's a culinary experience that captures the essence of French food culture.
Tanny G — Google review
Interesting architecture, but very expensive produce. I cant imagine this is where the people of Toulouse come for their shopping. I did look like you might have a nice drink with some oysters though. I could imagine the restaurants are worth a stop

Bar
Restaurant
Chez Tonton is a renowned establishment in Toulouse, known for its owner Madame Francoise and her excellent pastis. This bar, which opened in the 1950s, has gained fame for serving anise-flavored aperitif by the meter - 17 glasses to be exact. Situated on one of the city's most beautiful squares with a view of the Garonne River, it is considered one of the oldest pastis bars in the country.
If you’re looking for the heart and soul of Toulouse nightlife, you have to check out Chez Tonton! 🍻 Located right on the buzzing Place Saint-Pierre, this legendary bar is a true institution—ask any local or university student, and they’ll tell you it’s a rite of passage to spend an evening (or two!) here. Chez Tonton is famous for its unbeatable atmosphere: the energy is always electric, especially when the terrace spills over with happy crowds. Whether you’re starting your night or looking for that perfect spot to celebrate with friends, this is the place to be. Their signature drink? The iconic “demi mètre de pastis”—a must-try for first-timers and a classic for regulars! 🥃 Prices are super student-friendly, which explains why it’s a favorite hangout for university students from all over Toulouse. The staff are quick, friendly, and always up for a laugh, even on the busiest nights. Plus, the location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of the action, steps from the Garonne, and surrounded by other great bars. If you want an authentic Toulouse experience, full of laughter, music, and unforgettable memories, Chez Tonton is the place to be. Don’t miss it! 🎉🍹
Julius M — Google review
I am told this place is the place where everyone wants to go. I Don know why?? Because the thing is they serve beer by the meter, what they actually mean is, they will serve you 14 halfs, which if you place the plastic cups next to each other will cover a meter. The beer is not great, not my preferred type of beer, it is most definitely a bit rough and ready, but it is cheap, depending what you have it is around €3 per half. I will not be rushing back
Jack L — Google review
Cheap and tasty! For 8 euro you can take a big dish and a beer
Elena O — Google review
Bar top
Maria C — Google review
Definitely overrated in my opinion. You can't take a plastic cup outside to have some air. Inside there is no cosy vibe whatsoever, only flashy white lights.
Andries B — Google review
Chez Tonton was recommended by our Airbnb hosts. It had a fun atmosphere and was packed. Do be aware that it is a bar for youngsters, the college crowd. My wife and I are middle aged and we seemed to be a decade or two too old! They told us they didn’t have any red wine!?! Hate to give it a low rating just because we aren’t the target audience. If I were still in college, it would be a 4 or a 5 star.
Eric K — Google review
Really funny bar with full of youngsters. They have special effect also. If you want to listen funky french songs go here. It will be unique experience
Mohan P — Google review
If you are looking to go out early with good music and good ambiance, chez tonton is your place! There is not so much space but you can dance and talk with people! They are going to be a little drunk there.

Such an unexpected delight! Was walking past the place on our way to see the river and saw a few people coming out and decided to explore it. So glad we did! The impressionist paintings were amazing as was the architectural aspects of the structure itself. Very much worth your time.

A visit to Toulouse isn't complete without spending some time at Place du Capitole. This square is the absolute heart of the city, and you can feel the energy the moment you step into it. The architecture is stunning—the pink bricks of the buildings glow beautifully in the sunlight, and the magnificent Capitolio building is a must-see.

Jennifer W — Google review
Interesting historical venue. Nice place to enjoy a meal and people watching.
Yvonne S — Google review
This is the central square of Toulouse, serving as the heart of civic life and local government since the 12th century. Its name is derived from the Roman word "Capitolium (Capitoline Hill)", reflecting the city's ancient roots. Dominating one side of the square is the Capitole building, which houses Toulouse's City Hall and the Théâtre du Capitole, the city's main opera house. The square regularly hosts open-air markets, seasonal festivals, and public events — including a popular Christmas market in winter and concerts or cultural activities in the summer.

Evan have been very helpful for getting us champagne, bottles, etc... Thanks to all the team on the first floor! Great night!

Okay place with a decent atmosphere. The music is not the best. Usually only have the option between french rap or hard techno while something more light like house would be better.
Maj B — Google review
Good music, lots of space and fun people. A bit too expensive for young people and Toulouse, as a university city, has lots of students which could not afford such prices, but all the rest was great

With lounge areas for intimate gatherings and a vibrant dance floor for those ready to party, Le Purple offers an alluring space for guests to enjoy.
Good night club. Had a lot of fun, a bit crowded at some point but it went really well. Edit 30/11/2019 I got into a fight in a club for the first time, I did one mistake : trying to solve something by myself. My recommendation if anything annoy you or your friends, tell the staff.
Sylvain B — Google review
Visited this nightclub/bar on my last night 29/08/24 at approximately 00:30 in toulouse the door staff refused us due to the shoes my girlfriend was wearing I have done security for 10 years I think this is ridiculous especially as we are tourist and in any of my venues that I MANAGE I always try to accommodate tourist no matter the sercumtances appreciate a reply on the matter as I find this unacceptable I appreciate all security and know that the job is hard as I do it myself In a managerial role but when this happens to people visiting the city with nothing more than good intentions it's money your turning away from your premises and I would like to add that she was dressed well in a blue dress and high heel sandles I was in a jeans and t-shirt I would also like to add that the door staff was not rude but just don't believe this is a acceptable reason for refusals and think you need to address the issue I also told him to have a good night and showed no ill intentions towards him
Patrick B — Google review
The worst club we tried, horrible staff, unfriendly and ignorant. Too many old creepy guys and just a bad vibe overall
Bas K — Google review
There is a lot of good music in this club and the atmosphere is great. When my girlfriend and I decide to disband Saturday nights we often go there. All our friends are also regular visitors because of the variety of cocktails at the bar.

Got denied for no real particular reason, I was sober and dressed fabulously but didn’t speak French that well. They let teenagers go in without IDing them. Something about this town gives me the vibes that they are homophobic.

Went pretty early, and were cornered by bouncers to pay 12€ entry. After that the club or room was pretty quiet but quickly livened up. The downstairs area was ok but too many people for the space and my clothes reeked by the end of the night of smoke. Not to mention the price of drinks is crazy. Average age was probably late 20s to 40s. It was a strange night to say the least.

(Translated by Google) The security and bar staff were friendly enough but I didn't like the premises themselves. Music is not at all my style but then again you will tell me "don't come if it's small and not to your musical taste" and I will tell you that you are right. But even without that, the toilets don't close, which doesn't really provide any security. Anyone too drunk or with bad intentions or both can break in... And again I think the worst was the story of the so-called smoking corner. From 3 a.m. apparently we can smoke throughout the club? Horrible experience even though I am a former smoker so I dare to imagine the ordeal of non-smokers. Came home and felt like a tired bum for 5 days, no thanks. Don't go there if you have long hair like me. The smell permeates the hair, it's terrible.

I don't frequent this type of place so I can't judge other points, but I just went to look for a friend inside and almost got one from a disrespectful bouncer who was trying to scare me... because I was looking for my friend. Meanwhile his colleague was beating up another customer behind trash cans opposite on Place Nicolas Bachelier. that’s reassuring. If one day you have a friend stuck in this box for some reason, don't even try to communicate with these primates. It could end badly. Call the Police directly. (Original) Très mal fréquenté. Au Père Louis, a historic wine bar located at 45 rue des Tourneurs, has been an integral part of Toulouse's social scene since its establishment in 1889. This iconic establishment exudes old-world charm with its oak barrels and vintage bottles, creating an ambiance that transports patrons to a bygone era.
An historic restaurant and wine bar in the heart of Toulouse. Full of character with very old bottles of wine on the shelves to lend the place authenticity. The menu is short and classic. The wine list is long and delicious! The service is friendly and helpful without being fussy. A nice way to spend a relaxed few hours with friends.

Le Bibent is a historic brasserie located in the heart of Toulouse, known for its opulent interior and high-end cuisine. The restaurant's Belle Epoque decor, dating back to the Napoleon III era, has been designated as a historical monument. Situated on the Place du Capitole, it offers outdoor seating and an exquisite dining experience beneath a gold-painted ceiling adorned with first-class art. It’s happen to feel surprise that the meal doesn’t cost me as expensive as I thought, with the look and taste that beyond the amount I pay ! Combine with these elements; good vibe, amazing service, amazing interior decoration, at the heart of downtown location, very very next to Place du Capitole. It’s good to be here !! Only recommendation is “please make reservation” if you want to sit inside the restaurant and enjoy the painting at the ceiling.

A beautiful restaurant on Capitol Square with a fantastic atmosphere. They have gluten-free bread and a menu with all the allergens marked, but virtually all starters and several main courses can be adapted. The waiter confirmed each dish with the chef. I had the ceviche, simply removing the croutons, stuffed eggs and the Angus steak with a different sauce prepared by the chef. Everything was delicious. They even have several gluten-free desserts. I didn't suffer any reaction at all. Highly recommended.

Out of this world experience. The service, frescos, and atmosphere take you away to another time. I told the server my great great grandfather Jean Catherine Bibent started this restaurant in the late 1800s and it was a dream of mine to visit. He made sure I had the most spectacular experience - from a bright wine that paired well with the coconut ceviche to the signature deviled eggs. Proud to see how well the team and new owners have maintained this establishment and know he would be as well. Merci!

Unique, beautiful and delicious place in dowtown Toulouse. The place itself is captivating, a mid-19 th century restaurant will be enough to have a delicious experience. Food was good as well, it was a great experience, beautiful served and good quality, not remarkabky unique dishes though but not a tourist trap. The place is small though, so it can get a bit noisy as it gets full. Also, the toilets are clean but small and nothing to do with the spactacular dinning room. Service was friendly, but again, as more people arrived it got slow and impersonal.

Good food set in a beautiful building with a good ambiance. We enjoyed our starters, the scallops were delicious, although I had entrecôte main which was unfortunately tough. In addition we ordered wine and probably wanted a further drink or coffees however after initial service we were left alone so another missed opportunity in terms of additional revenue. All in all a pleasant evening and I would go back but perhaps not chose the steak!

The Couvent des Jacobins is a remarkable Dominican edifice in Toulouse, known for its Gothic architecture and as the final resting place of Saint Thomas Aquinas. The Eglise des Jacobins boasts ornate stained-glass windows, while the Cloitre des Jacobins features graceful russet-brick columns surrounding a green courtyard.
This is one of the more beautiful sites that we visited in Bath - the stained glass windows are lovely! It was free to visit the church itself with only a 5 Euro charge each to visit the adjacent cloister. Both are recommended and can be toured in about an hour.

The Convent of the Jacobins in Toulouse is a beautiful and peaceful place. The interior is striking, with its elegant brick columns and calm atmosphere. Although the exterior is currently under renovation, it’s still well worth a visit. Built in the 13th century by the Dominican Order, it holds great historical and spiritual significance, especially as the resting place of Saint Thomas Aquinas.
Sofia C — Google review
This is an incredibly beautiful building. It’s worth taking a couple of hours just to enjoy the building aside from anything on display. The exhibitions are incredible and the acoustic for music amazing. The gardens are just so gorgeous. Make sure you allow enough time to visit.

Along with the cathedral, this is a must see in Toulouse. It is five euros for adults to enter, but it is absolutely worth it. With the restoration work that is going on the exterior. The entrance is via the refractory. In here, several of the lunettes have been removed from the walls and are being restored on the ground. The church chapter house and other areas are absolutely fascinating. There are many audiovisual guides which explain some of the amazing architecture and history. It would be very easy to spend an hour to two hours, marveling at this beautiful building.

The Convent of the Jacobins in Toulouse is simply breathtaking .The brick walls feel warm and grounded, while inside, the soaring palm-shaped vault seems to lift your spirit upward. Being there makes me feel both humbled and inspired — a quiet reminder of beauty, history, and serenity all in one space.
Yash V — Google review
The convent is one of the most significant examples of Southern French Gothic architecture and the historical heart of the Jacobins (Dominican Order), founded in Toulouse in the early 13th century. Construction began in 1229 and was completed in the 14th century. The convent played a central role in scholarly, preaching, and missionary activities across medieval Europe. It houses the relics of Saint Thomas Aquinas, the Dominican theologian and philosopher, whose remains were transferred here in the 14th century. The name "Jacobins" comes from the common French nickname for the Dominicans during that time. The church’s interior is renowned for its palm tree–shaped vaulted ceiling, where ribbed vaults fan out from slender columns. ※ Included in the Toulouse Pass Tourisme.

Saint Stephen's Cathedral, also known as Saint-Etienne Cathedral, is a medieval masterpiece located in Toulouse. This architectural wonder is a combination of Roman and Gothic styles, with elements of Baroque and Romanesque architecture. The cathedral's construction spanned over five centuries, resulting in a unique blend of diverse architectural influences that some find perplexing yet captivating.
St. Etienne Cathedral - Metz Built in ochre stone overall between 1235 and 1522, it has vaults culminating at 41 meters, so it is the third tallest cathedral in France after Beauvais and Amiens. Its nearly 6,500 m2 of glass surface has earned it the name "Lanterne du Bon Dieu" and it represents the major part of France but also the largest Gothic glass house in Europe.

A beautiful work of design and engineering, the meaning of any Church is to welcome travellers, and to show mercy to them, I arrive by bicycle with my panniers, it’s pouring with rain, I enter the church with my bicycle and in by a few minutes moments a arrogant man whom works for the church rushes towards me, he tells me bicycles are forbidden inside the church. I must put it outside, and my bags, all 40 kilograms of them I can bring them into the church. It’s not an electric bike sir! This man hath no place to deter travellers from the house of god. Jesus welcomes travellers. Five stars for the cathedral Nil stars for the arrogant employee of the church To also clarify bicycle travellers are welcome in all church’s and cathedrals across France including Notre Dame in Paris because they actively welcome travellers by bicycle.

Le Colombier is a charming restaurant that has been around since 1873, offering a variety of dishes such as foie gras, entrecôte steak, and meaty cassoulets. The restaurant is known for serving the classic cassoulet, a hearty slow-cooked stew filled with white beans, pork, pork fat, red sausage, white sausage and abundant goose confit.
The cassoulet was delicious and their chocolate mousse is also highly recommended.

Their menu emphasizes the ingredients in their cassoulet and it's true that the Toulouse sausage they use is absolutely fantastic. The cassoulet dish itself is well executed and lives up to the hype, slightly too dry for my taste. Honestly I can't say it is the best, since there are just so many out there. I'll try some other dishes next time.

Very known place to eat the cassoulet from Toulouse and other specialties. The warm decor is inviting to savour delicious specialties from the area and local wines; we has a cassoulet served in the typical dish, one assiette toulousaine (magret, saussice de Toulouse and confit), bread and an assiette (a plate in English) of 3 cheese with a delicious green salad with a croustade flambee (Armagnac) plus 2 espressi. The wine recommendation was outstanding. This is a place not to miss.

Passing by the place we made a reservation for the same evening. The food was superb but the service was very slow and non attentive at all. Bar danse PUERTO HABANA is a Cuban-style bar located in the heart of downtown Toulouse. The decor exudes traditional Cuban vibes with a large wooden staircase, a Cuban fresco, and a grand glass chandelier. The establishment offers reasonably priced cocktails and an airy space for salsa dancing, with a mezzanine floor providing views of the dance floor below.
Cool bar for dancing or watching Salsa. Staff is very friendly, music is great and not too loud, it is lovely there. They also offer Salsa and Bachata lessons, details for these you can find on their homepage.
Georg S — Google review
Went there for Bachata on Wednesday night, if you skip the lesson it’s free. They don’t play a lot of salsa. It’s pretty empty until 10, then it gets really crowded. The crowd mostly 20-30s but there are few old heads in the crowd. Beginners to average dancers but friendly enough to have a good time.

Overall, I enjoy the place and the staff is generally friendly, but there is a specific waitress that should definitely improve her manners and stop pushing people that are trying to have a good time. If the place is too crowed and the waiter's patience is gone, the table service should just stop. I have no problem going to the bar to get a drink.

Me and my friend used to come here to have fun and dance. But today I am very disappointed with the security guard's behaviour. He was very rude to us and did not allow us to enter. The reason was that we did not have a girl with us. Why is this discrimination ? Especially in this age, why do they discriminate? I do not understand this and I strongly stand against this behaviour. I hope the club managers take a stand against this. Sorry to say that this club was my favorite but no more

Great place with reasonably good cocktail, the pricing is kinda the same as other establishment around so I wasn't shocked by the pricing. There are two separate halls, one for around 200 people, the other for around 500 people. Concerts in big hall are better but in both cases, sound quality is good.

Complexe La Voile Blanche is a trendy spot that offers tapas, cocktails, and DJ parties around a swimming pool. It's like a slice of Saint-Tropez in Haute-Garonne, with its carefully curated white-themed decor creating an elegant ambiance. The venue features an eatery serving global cuisine and a bar offering quality wines and elaborately crafted cocktails. By day, it's a relaxing lounge space, while at night it transforms into a vibrant club setting.
Thank you to Chef Paolo and all the team for the warm welcome. The food was delicious, the dessert « gaspacho de fraise » amazing 🤩 See you soon !

They are racists. I really underappreciate what happened with me and my friend yesterday at the entrance by a black male security guard. He prevented us from getting inside the club to enjoy the DJ and music because we looked Arabs and he indicated that this is the rule and he is the one to decide who gets in an out, and he clearly indicated to my friend that he didn't like how he looked and that is why prevented us from going in. I expected them to be inclusive and not racist. I have noted that and i am posting a review on google. would like this feedback to reach some managers, hopefully some wise man would not risk doing the same with other people, because it is mean.

La voile Blanche is a well known open-sky place where you can enjoy food (tapas style) and drinks. Events every week during summer with live music, DJs and theme (Brazil) parties. Can be busy during weekends . Overall Staff kindness is sometimes random when it's busy nights

"La voile blanche" is a very pleasant, hip & cool place that sends out massive summer vibes. It is largely set outside with a fine restaurant and several bars that go on serving until the early morning. The party and the associated DJ's really start going at 11pm onwards - turning it into an outdoor nightclub. The crowd is relatively young but with some older people here and there. Prepare to dress quite nicely, even by French standards or you will not get in.

we went to this place June 30th for a friends birthday, it was me, my wife, the birthday girl, her boyfriend and two other friends. out of us 6 we were 5 black people and my wife who is white but her mother is not white, so you can see she has her black in her. so since we got there they stopped us at the door and had us there for about 5 minutes before telling us what or why we were being held at the door, we finally got in. the place is very cute and nice, but we wanted to have an umbrella because it was hot af, after 1 hour waiting for a waiter they asked us to pay for a ViP table 300 euros worth of alcohol, so we went for it, we ended up spending over 600 euros there, the only table that had more than 2 bottles was ours (if money was the problem, for us it wasnt) the bartenders were nice with us, one of the dj’s was cool and his music, he even said happy birthday to our friend thru the sound system. we were the only black people at this party apart from 3 other black people in a place with over 100 people there, we were the soul pf this party, every body was recording videos of us having fun, just enjoying the moment there, at the end of the day on our way out here comes this black dude that works there and asks just us to get out of the place, that got into my nerves because at the end of the day it was my own kind that was acting racists towards us. we got into a heated argument because why out of all people there he comes to US to start getting people out. he even pushed my wife twice, and this group of gorillas came out ready to fight because he was doing his job. he was jealous of us being a group of black people among white people having a great time there, doing what he could only dream of doing. Dont go to this place if you are dark skinned, and if you are white dont support this people

A very good French version of the dive-in. A lot of locals and regulars. 2 ambiances late 30, 40's before 22:00 and younger population after that. Another good point is the price with an unbeatable pint at 2.5€ during the happy hour!

I was helping a foreign girl and the drunk patron came and pushed us with his hands and told us to leave I don’t know why we didn’t even get into bar and we was just going to enter . And he told us to get away and he was so drunk , so horrible i was afraid of him when he came toward us completely drunk and he took my arm to push me and he said don’t stay infront of here , i’m still shocked and i don’t know if it’s normal that the chef become so much drunk like this and attack the client?

(Translated by Google) The first and last time I went to this after-party club, everything was going pretty well but a dad decided to give me his best slap, for "peeing over a barrier", so firstly it's totally false but the worst is that the security guards say they saw me on the surveillance cameras when it's impossible because I've never done that and I don't see the point. In addition, I asked them to show me the images to verify the facts and they refused. So I look like the crazy pisser of the coup d'état and on top of that I get a slap from a drunk dad and I get thrown out of the club, I find that unacceptable and totally ridiculous. We notice here that the security guards are incompetent and the staff too, in a place where the rules and procedures are respected this would never have happened! I do not recommend this disastrous place to anyone. Basilique Saint-Sernin de Toulouse, a medieval basilica located in Toulouse, France, is renowned for housing relics of 128 saints and a thorn believed to be from the Crown of Thorns. This UNESCO-listed site is one of the largest Romanesque churches in Europe. The church's crypt contains an extensive collection of relics donated by Charlemagne to the abbey on this site in the 800s.
The Basilique Saint-Sernin is an unmissable monument in Toulouse. It’s a stunning and well-preserved example of Romanesque architecture, known for its impressive size and beautiful details. Built in the 11th and 12th centuries, it was an important stop for pilgrims on the Way of St. James. Visiting this basilica is a must for anyone interested in history, art, or architecture—it truly captures the spirit of the city.
Sofia C — Google review
Tucked in the heart of Toulouse, this basilica left a quiet but lasting impression on us. What makes it special is not lavish ornamentation, but the materials and structure themselves. It was beautifully raw and full of history.
Marie-Eve G — Google review
It is a nice and clean church, both the exterior and interior are beautiful, it was a pleasure to visit this church during a day trip to Toulouse and a walk around the city center. When we entered the church, young girls and boys were singing religious songs and a good spiritual atmosphere was created. The church was relatively quiet and had the necessary peace. I personally felt very good and I hope you will also have a good experience visiting this church.
Javad A — Google review
The basilica is one of the largest Romanesque-style churches in Europe and a major landmark of Toulouse. Construction began around 1080 and continued through the 13th century. The building reflects a pure Romanesque design with later Gothic additions, combining red brick with pale stone. Its most iconic feature is the 64-meter octagonal bell tower, a defining element of the city’s skyline.
Seokjin H — Google review
This is a truly mind blowing cathedral. It is the largest remaining Romanesque church in the world. Its soaring barrel voltage ceiling gives a sense of space and majesty. There are wonderful statues and some incredible fresco paintings which have survived hundreds of years. I must see when in this city.

Worst food I’ve ever had in Europe. McDonald’s tastes like a michelline star restaurant compared to the food here. I know these guys have high profit margins because everything is ridiculously expensive but seems like it costs them 2 dollars to make. I ordered a sandwich for 10 euros and when it arrived the bread was soggy and disintegrating from the watered down sauce. I could barely pick it up and I wish I didn’t because it tasted disgusting. I’ll give props to the waiters because they all speak perfect English, but at this point the food is so bad it doesn’t even matter. Never coming here again.

Open late food till 1 pm and drinks till 2 pm when we were there in March. Unoaked Chardonnay was surprisingly good at 5 euro a glass. Sancerre at 8 euro good but not really worth extra. Lively and fun with some good decor features.
Pip C — Google review
The setting is nice, right in front of Capitole, very touristy place. The kitchen stays open until way after 11 pm, which is certainly a plus if you feel hungry that late at night. The offer of dishes and drinks is spot on, they have meat, fish, and seafood, and also they have many of my favourite cocktails, made with REAL FRUIT, not syrups. I loathe paying over 10 euro for a cocktail, only to find out it's made with syrups, instead of real fruit. My colleague and I ate grilled octopus 🐙, we didn't feel it was grilled then at 11 pm, but it was tasty nevertheless and the pre-cooking situation is understandable, as it was considerably late. It was my first time having a meal on those arcades, and I enjoyed it.

A lovely restaurant on Capitol Square with some gluten-free options. However, you should be careful as allergens aren't properly marked on the menu. I ordered the Nicoise salad, which was supposedly suitable, but it came with croutons. They quickly prepared another one for me, but make sure the server notifies the kitchen and confirms that the dishes are safe.

We really enjoyed our visit to Grand Café Le Florida, where we hosted our wedding lunch after our city hall ceremony. The staff were attentive, friendly, and very efficient when it came to serving our large group of guests. The food and drink were both excellent, and the presentation of our wedding cake was very fun (it tasted delicious too). The decorations were beautiful and their skilled pianist, Tom, really made the day special. In the run up to the day Floriane was absolutely amazing. She helped us ensure that all dietary/allergy needs were accommodated, was attentive to details to make sure that our guests had the best experience, and she organized the beautiful decorations. A huge thank you to the team at Grand Café Le Florida for a truly wonderful day!
Victoria L — Google review
This restaurant delivered an extremely disappointing experience, marked by both service incompetence and managerial disrespect. The issues began with drinks served lacking alcohol and staff who were so unfamiliar with the wine inventory that they couldn't take a proper order. When these failures were escalated, the manager was openly dismissive and disrespectful, directly refusing to check or correct the mistakes and indicating they were happy to simply cancel our orders and have us leave. This staggering lack of accountability and professionalism is unacceptable. Customers seeking a pleasant experience are strongly advised to consider going elsewhere.

Established in the 1940s, it has become an institution known for its creative local dishes and sophisticated cuisine. The menu features regional specialties such as cassoulet, foie gras, roast lamb, fresh fish, and filets of duck. Chef Christophe Fasan's famous cassoulet is highly praised by visitors.
Wonderful little restaurant, multi levels. Some of the best food I've ever had in a restaurant. Excellent, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Strongly recommend trying the duck leg stew with beans, absolutely incredible!
Freddie S — Google review
Up until last night, I enjoyed several days of the most friendly people and warm service in this wonderful city. In contrast, Emile was a slice of Parisian attitude in Toulouse, and not in a good way. The food was actually very good, if pushing the bounds of overpriced - we enjoyed the langoustine ravioli in a fabulous shellfish broth, and the pigeon was as tender as you could hope. Slight niggles with the other two dishes - tartare of langoustine mixed with a tartare of veal just didn't work, the shellfish was lost in it, and then fillets of tubot with truffle risotto ranged between perfectly cooked and overcooked, which is disappointing when they are charging 35 eurs for the pleasure. Still, the food isn't the main issue. The real issue with this place is the staff. In contrast to their Toulouse brethren who welcomed us with love and warmth throughout the city's streets, cafes and restaurants, the team here (bar one young male waiter) behaved as if all happiness had long been sucked out of them and they took zero pleasure in hosting their guests. Cold, unfriendly and bordering on rude was the experience from booking (in person, a couple of days before) through to the dinner itself. It wouldn't be so bad if it was a cheap joint but when a restaurant charged 143 EUR for two, it's offensive.

The experience could not be better! The cassoulet was bursting with flavor! Much much better than "Maison de cassoulet" in Casteulnedrie which is home of cassoulet! The staff were super kind and accommodating and everything tasted heavenly good!

We dined here for lunch without reservation by arriving when they opened. The cassoulet was delicious and highly recommended, the best in Toulouse that I have tried so far.

Restaurant Emile is famous in Toulouse for its cassoulet. Even though it was a hot summer evening, we did enjoy the dish. Luckily, we made a reservation as the restaurant was fully booked. The desert was also excellent.

When a Grande Dame walks in with a walking stick, takes a seat alone at a table for 4 and the staff don't object on a busy, sunny afternoon and immediately deliver her favourite Champagne, you instantly know this is the right place for a great lunch. We dined here on a busy Thursday afternoon, ordered starters, mains a few wines and dessert, and everything was superb. Scallops still attached to the shell, cod loin grilled to perfection on a bed of perfectly seasoned potatoes that was a main course we wanted as a starter, was sublime. My Sweetbreads main was perfection on a plate, and the star show, the local Cassoulet, was delivered with a good luck wish of 'bon courage' as it was so large. If you're in Toulouse, go!
Gregory L — Google review
Just wow! What a dinner. The food here was incredible. We had the foie gras as starter and then the magret de canard for main. Absolutely delicious. Every detail. The terrace is super nice in the square with lots of restaurants around. Totally recommend!!
Emily G — Google review
You have to reserve your table in advance especially on weekends and holidays. We ordered smoked salmon and duck liver for starters. Both were great and better than expected. We ordered duck breast and grilled cod fish for our main dishes. Both of them were good. For dessert we ordered warm chocolate cake and orange sorbet which was very good. The service was great and fast. The atmosphere was cozy and nice. I recommend it to anyone's who wants to try French food.

Chef Michel Sarran, originally from Gers, has become a culinary ambassador in Toulouse, showcasing his expertise through carefully curated set menus that highlight the region's finest produce.
I want to give this restaurant the highest score as they are just so good at what they're doing. Food was overall very very good with some exceptional dishes in the total meal. The fish specifically was just incredible. Probably best I've had. Service is impeccable they are very good at what they do. It was shown specifically on us because we had many requests and allergy notes that were all noted and taken care of gracefully during the meal, before and after. We thank the team of the restaurant very much for being so welcoming, understanding and caring even though our many requests. We've had a wonderful time and would totally like to recommend the restaurant if you are thinking about it, definitely try it out!

My first meal in Toulouse and I picked this 1 Michelin star restaurant to try. Thankfully I booked it quite last minute as it was a last minute trip and I managed to get a table. The location is on a quiet street near the university but I managed to find it. Managed to arrived a little early and was able to enter the restaurant to get to my seat. The staff there not many were able to speak English so there was one who could speak quite good English and he was the main server to my table for the night. Since I wanted to do a degustation menu for dinner, there were 2 types of menus available. I decided to go ahead with the surprise menu as I wanted to surprise myself and see what the chef would come up with. Throughout the meal, I didn't have the menu and only knew what was in the dish when it was served. Most of the dishes were seafood based which I liked, and some of the dishes were surprising as I have never tried the combination of ingredients before. It was quite refreshing and unique to me that these combination could complement so well and great job to the chef. A truly good meal and nothing to fault about, its 1 star Michelin and yet it doesn't burn a hole in the pocket. Before I left at the door I actually met the chef and got a handshake. A nice way to end the meal and kudos to the entire team!

We had a wonderful evening in September 2025! The food was, of course, excellent, but the service was the best I’ve ever experienced. From the very start, we felt cared for and treated with genuine respect. Everyone had a twinkle in their eye, offered information and answers in a warm and friendly way, and showed great understanding of our limited French — though everyone spoke excellent English. Even three weeks later, I still think back on the experience with gratitude. Monsieur Sarran even came to the tables at the end of the evening, and we were grateful for the opportunity to thank him. What a delightful experience. Thank you!
Frode F — Google review
Amazing experience! I thought it was over rated being it’s a celebrity chef owned restaurant but in fact, it’s reasonably priced for lunch at 75€ for amuse bouche, aperitif, entree, plat, desserts, coffee and inclusive of wine pairing. Drinks are almost never inclusive of lunch menus in haute-cuisine establishments, so this was a good deal. Plates are elevated, even if they do the twist on your favorite bacon and eggs for brunch, as we came for lunch..It was still a pleasant foodie experience. The flavor construction of the dishes are excellent! The location is good, quiet street at the back of the university area and going to Compans-Cafarelli. The car parkings available right in front by the street. Decoration is tasteful and elegant but not stuffy and pretentious. Service is impeccable, servers are professional but not stuck-up or snobbish. The hostess/host were friendly and smiling. Even Michel Sarran himself came to visit every table and I complimented him on giving such a good dining experience. He was nice. Well deserved of a Michelin star. I keep coming back!

Fantastic. Attention to every detail. The staff were knowledgeable and professional. A delightful recommendation on a wine I would never have tried otherwise. Merci.

Disclaimer: the 4 stars are related to the expectations we have from a Star restaurant and do not have an absolute value. The food, the wine and the service are great. Compared to other restaurants of the same category we missed something. The menu is definitely creative and interesting, but next to some absolutely outstanding courses we also got a couple of dissonant notes in particular regarding the dessert. The wine advices from the sommelier for each plate were absolutely outstanding ( worth 5 stars ).

Great lunch! was Highlight was the dessert and petit four. Had the duck for main course, it was tender and not over seasoned. I was slightly thrown off by the spring rolls for appetizers, they tasted good, just not what I would've expected in the middle of toulouse. Overall delicious lunch, really enjoyed the wine pairing and great value!

Toulouse is a city with a rich musical heritage, offering a diverse range of music experiences. The Théâtre du Capitole stands as an iconic landmark in the city, housing both the town hall and the opera house behind its pink neoclassical facade. The venue hosts classical music performances and operas, making it a must-visit for music enthusiasts.
A great place in Toulouse center (Place du Capitole) that offers ballet and opera shows of great quality. Tickets need to be purchased in advance, most of the shows are sold out quickly.

This is a wonderful and endment Theatre. It has a modern foyer and has been beautifully painted inside. I was fortunate enough to see the Capitole Oper ballet company in a tribute to Maurice Ravel. They were accompanied by the opera Orchestra and it was a wonderful show. Then to be sea of the theater means that the sound is wonderful. I was in the back of a side loge quite high, but if I still could see this stage without an issue. I got an H euro ticket by lining up one hour prior to the performance, which is when returns are re-sold.

Really amazing experience to watch ballet
Tulio L — Google review
The performances are AMAZING, staff are lovely and super helpful. The super high up seats at Paradise have indeed reduced visibility but it's acceptable (I didn't even realized they were at first), at the front-er seats the quality is perfect. I was very impressed with the mise en scène of Nabucco by Verdi and Norma by Bellini. This theater's interpretation of Orphée aux Enfers also has a nice touch of humour and a unique variation in the final part of Act 1. The ballet performances are nice. I'd keep updating in the future cause you just have to come back here! (I painted a scene in their Norma 2025 out of my impression)

La Braisière is a long-standing eatery located in the heart of Toulouse, offering classic meat and seafood dishes. This family-owned establishment has been serving traditional Toulouse cuisine for over forty years, embodying the warmth and generosity that characterize the city. The restaurant features a charming terrace and a wood-fired oven where steaks are grilled to perfection.
We dined at this wonderful restaurant for three days in a row because we simply couldn’t get enough of the amazing food! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere that set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The food was everything and more than we hoped for in France—classic French dishes done to perfection with incredible flavor and attention to detail. The staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. Even the kids’ meals were impressive, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor—our little ones were thrilled! The portions were generous, and every dish we tried left us craving more. Thank you to the entire team for making our time in Toulouse so memorable. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking to enjoy authentic, delicious French cuisine in a charming setting! We’ll be back for sure.

Very good restaurant! For the entree they have small portions which is very good 👍 prices are very reasonable. Service is great as well!

This restaurant is nice. The service was very good. The open fire concept was fun, but the main dining room did get pretty smoky, and it definitely lingered on our clothes, so be aware of that if you're in the main indoor area. While the presentation of the food was great, and the cook on the steak was perfect, the flavor was a bit lacking.

We had a lovely lunch at La Braisiere. The staff are lovely and were kind and patient with our rubbish French. I would highly recommend a couple of glasses of the house rosé, the foie gras ravioli and the fillet steak with mushroom sauce. The fillet was perfect - order it saignant (on the rare side of medium rare)

Excellent food: I had Magret and Mousse au Chocolat. The Magret was exactly au point, with Roquefort sauce, which goes well with it. The Mousse was an extremely generous portion, very well made with dark chocolate and whipped cream on the side. Loved their homemade bread, not so much the baked potatoes, which were a bit soggy.

The food and service were excellent, however the table was given to us was not suitable, although I asked to change our place, my request was rejected. Besides a bug was on the table two times, which is not pleasant.

Ate here twice on the same day! Lunch was really excellent with delicious food, great value, interesting wines by the glass and brisk service. At dinner the food was still good but the service was disastrous. It seemed like we were on the invisible table and each stage of service took an age, which was disappointing. Still, I'd recommend, particularly for a cassoulet or duck lunch.

A great museum with lots of different exhibits. Some you do pay extra for. The gardens are particularly interesting. A zoo for plants with some interesting examples. The restaurant is good.

Enormous display of animals; educational sections on earth science, taxonomy and speciation; thought provoking display of artifacts demonstrating basic commonalities of human cultures. Small friendly wine bar in a cobbled street in the old town. It has an ingenious system that allows you to try a wide variety of fine wines by the sip (degustation) or glass. We experimented with some wines we we'd have been wary of trying if we'd had to buy a whole bottle. Short menu of wine-friendly small plates. We had tuna cerviche and Serrano ham, both excellent. Great, knowledgeable service. Recommended.
SueH — Google review
This wine bar won its price for a reason. You have like 30 wines available in closed dispensers that you can access with a card. You see what each wine costs depending on the amount you want and simply choose and touch. The total amount is written to the card and paid when you leave together with the food. You can have just wine or a few appetizers, but the available menu easily works for dinner as well. Our host was very kind, each of the 2 evenings we went there. Very welcoming, open and eager to exchange a few words about her work, wine and life in general. And don't worry: she speaks English with perfection.

Excellent little wine bar. You can try so many kinds of wine with their pouring system and I thought all were reasonably priced. The Iberico Ham and polenta frites were also incredible. Overall, we adored this spot!

Fantastic place! We're not very much into wine but we'd hard that even though the tapas were great and we did have a great experience. The bar is very nicely decorated, it has wine auto-service and dozens of different wines. The atmosphere is very classy and the tapas are really different. There is a tasting menu of 24 tapas for 25 euros (good value!) and even though the tapas are small, you get full. The only "but" is that it was such a long dinner but I guess if you're having wine you cannot drink and eat fast as well as enjoy it. Anyway... 100% recommended!

Wonderful place! Had a great time there, for a birthday. It's been a long time I didn't eat such sophisticated and refined food. More than a meal you'll go for a gastronomic trip with excellent wines along the road. You'll be taken care of by very a pasionate and highly-skilled staff. Count at least 50€ per convive for a menu with wine. I definitely recommend this place.

This review is written by the fan of teas ! One of the best salon of tea I ever visited ! the price is very honest, and not very high. The decor is outstanding ! the retro tableware is so beautiful, just like that of our Grandmother kitchens. The large choice of teas. The cakes and patisseries are very delicious, and there are different kinds, the assortment changes often. In summer make sure to taste their Ice tea, home made with fruit flavors ! Every time I am in Toulouse I make sure to have a cup of tea with a cake in Bapz, it's really a unique place with a special atmosphere. Kind stuff and good vibes!

Le Cantou is a charming restaurant nestled in a beautiful garden setting. The establishment takes pride in serving beautifully presented dishes that are not only delicious but also showcase local produce such as meats, fish, vegetables, foie gras, ham, and cheeses. The menu changes regularly to offer fresh culinary experiences. Guests can also enjoy an excellent selection of wines to complement their meals. While the service is friendly, some aspects could be improved for a more professional experience.
Had absolutely wonderful time here. the walk from the parking lot to the restaurant was enjoyable for a start, nice garden with little pond. we had the surprise menu with wine pairing on the terrace. it was summer time we visited so forgot the details, but all the dishes tasted original and good. also tried every type available on the cheese cart, one or two of them might be too strong but had good mariage with fruit compote. we felt quite full at the end, but the dessert was irresistible. the only downside is that the plane noises from the airport.. felt like every ten minutes.

One of my favorite restaurants so far. Near airbus construction site, you'll find a beautiful old building inside a wonderful garden. The food is as tasty as in a 1-star restaurant, but cheaper (cheapest menu around 35€). They have one of the most complete wine menu of the region. You'll be served by professionals and passionate waiters, which makes eating there a true experience. I highly recommend this restaurant 😋

We went for lunch and we're invited. A good experience. The waiters were busy because of a group so service kinda started slowly but staff was very friendly and professional. There was no baby chair in the restaurant. The dishes were tasty and portions quite big. The cactus parfait for desert was great. The garden is huge and a bliss for young kids.
Nicolas T — Google review
To sum it up..Food is quite the high-end Brasserie type. Good enough if you’re looking to bring colleagues staying near the airport for a French dinner. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good for what it is but for a foodie experience at it’s price, I wouldn’t recommend. I came here expecting it’s gastro haute-cuisine. I wasn’t surprised to be disappointed though, as it’s not a restaurant that’s Michelin rated. I thought maybe they were just overlooked, but no. Since the restaurant is just next to the airport, expect a lot of people in suits here talking about the aerospace industry. Foreigners talk loud so expect the noise. Place is not spacious and tables not far enough from each other. Decor made me feel like I was in an expensive restaurant in the 90’s. They have a sommelier that is also the one at the cashier when handling your check, she is perhaps the owner. She didn’t have the attitude of a staff. Waiters are quite friendly but in general I felt weirded by them, can’t put my finger on it exactly but they seem figgety. Our waiter even joked it’s hard for her to speak English and gave a nervous laugh before she explained the menu, but I’m quite 50-80% of the customers here every night are foreigners. Half the room on the evening we came are foreigners, and I could here her waitress-esque flirting with them in English. Anyhoo, just the staff vibe was a bit off. The decor was quite off, like it’s almost good but almost failing. The house and the garden is lovely though, could be good for events.

I visited Le Cantou for lunch on a Friday afternoon and had an amazing time. The restaurant grounds are beautiful and include a pond with fish. I had the €38 tasting menu which was brilliant and great value for money considering the choices and how good everything tasted. The pork belly starter of the day melted in my mouth, the beef stew was packed with flavour and the deconstructed tiramisu with coffee ice cream was delicious. I would highly recommend visiting if you're in the area.

The place in a nice garden and the house is an old nice and charming building. The closeness to the airport and HQ of “Airbus” is practical for those who come from there. The service was friendly but in my eyes not highly professional (serving dishes at different moments, explaining the dishes so long that they were already cold, forgetting the text for the text). The food was nicely prepared, the products fresh and from good quality. Nevertheless I was not satisfied with the taste combinations of the food and well the way the food was prepared can be further improved (frying time of different products, usage of oil, “crispness” of vegetables). As well the wine suggestion for my dishes did not fit that well and could be highly improved, especially with such a great variety of wine list. The airplanes which fly directly over the house every few minutes disturb a calm dinner but nevertheless the place is cosy and welcoming.

We had a proper dinner in this place. It was a delicious food overall. Impressed with scallops appetizers and the mango desert! But the main dish lamb was average for me with a bit rigid meat.
Qner Q — Google review
Great food, great ambiance & great location if you are crazy about planes. The weather was warm enough to sit in the outdoor patio for dinner. Our pleasure in sampling the very French cuisine was interjected by overflying aircraft on the approach path of Blagnac airport every few minutes. The manicured lawns are a real pleasure for the senses only to be superseded by the fresh and delicious Fois Gras. Good selection in the menu. I tried the Canard Escalope to follow the Fois Gras. Cooked just right the duck was simply perfect. Try this restaurant. If the interference of planes is a bother, get a table inside the tastefully decorated farm house.

L'Envol is a trendy and popular spot located at the Lasbordes airfield in Balma, Toulouse. It offers two distinct atmospheres - one with a beach vibe where guests can dine with their feet in the sand, and another under a pergola. The menu features classic options like 'Barbaque' and 'Poiscaille,' as well as tapas and pizzas.
I was there with friends. The wine list is big, you have many many choices. The starters were good, maybe the only thing that could be slightly bettered is the bread which could have been smooth. I definitely recommend the Burrata, the pesto served with it was home made. For the main dishes, there’s nothing to add. The fries were really good and the meat exactly how I wanted it to be. Maybe it’s worth to note, that there are no or not many vegetarian options. The atmosphere is really nice and chill and there is the possibility of going to the bar just beside the restaurant. In general I would say that it’s worth every euro you pay.

This is the worst casino I have ever been to! The food was awful and the place looks like a drab and old 80s function hall in desperate need of updating then when we tried to go and actually gamble we were told that we needed our passports physically with us to enter the actual casino, no other form of ID is accepted and we left very disappointed!

We came for a concert to the nice theatre here. As visitors from outside France, we were not accepted in the casino without our passport, that we did not have with us. The photo IDs that we presented or a copy of our passports were insufficient. We wanted to have a drink before the show, and we could not, as the bar is in the casino and we were not allowed in. The cafe brasserie would not serve drinks without food. So here we were, two Canadians at 70, rejected from all these casino places. Luckily the concert was good! Some rules do not make much sense...

Modern art museum
Les Abattoirs is a contemporary art museum located in Toulouse, housed in a former 19th-century industrial building that was once a slaughterhouse. The museum's collection boasts over 2,000 artworks including paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings, photos and installations by renowned artists such as Saura, Tapies, Fontana, Rauschenberg and Duchamp.
This space is incredible, first of all: turning a slaughterhouse into a museum may not be “new” but putting an exhibition in rural life (old and modern, European and African, very conceptual and very tangible) in it was a way to acknowledge the place and celebrate its rebirth. The EROS temporary exhibition upstairs is pretty amazing, I expected something slightly kinky (to be honest: something we have all already seen a million times) but this was very fine and sophisticated eroticism through allegory. Really loved it, entirely worth a visit!
Elisabetta B — Google review
Les Abattoirs is a large and impressive contemporary art museum located in Toulouse. The museum is housed in a former slaughterhouse building, which adds an interesting historical layer to the visit. The transformation of this industrial space into a vibrant cultural center reflects Toulouse’s commitment to preserving its heritage while embracing modern creativity. Inside, the galleries are spacious and thoughtfully curated, with clear signage that helps visitors navigate the diverse exhibitions. The collection features a wide range of contemporary artworks, including paintings, sculptures, and installations by both French and international artists. For lovers of modern art, Les Abattoirs is truly a must-visit, offering an engaging and enriching experience in a unique setting.
Sofia C — Google review
This converter building is a superb space for display contemporary art. There was an extensive installation of the work of Mickalene Thomas. Some of this was quite challenging, but a brilliant exhibition for which people were lining up to enter. There are several levels and to see some of the permanent collection you need to go upstairs. Downstairs, you will see an amazing curtain from the Theatre designed by Picasso. There are three lockers into which you can store your bags. A wonderful experience.
G M — Google review
Les Abattoirs—literally meaning "The Slaughterhouses"—is Toulouse’s major museum of modern and contemporary art. The building was constructed in the 1820s as the city’s main slaughterhouse and was later transformed into a museum, which officially opened in 2000. The museum focuses on 20th- and 21st-century art, with a collection of around 4,000 works, including paintings, sculptures, photography, video art, and installations. It operates mainly through rotating temporary exhibitions, so the content regularly changes. ※ Included in the Toulouse Pass Tourisme.

Michael F — Google review
The museum itself is very open and easy to navigate. I simply didn't like the current installation at all. There's one theater curtain that was a dual work by Picasso and a contemporary whose name I've already forgotten. There were interactive and video art pieces that are not my preferred style but perhaps other will find their meaning.
Kevin A — Google review
It’s worth to visit. A lot of space in the building so you can see everything. But they could have put some words in English along with the French. And don’t try to go to the restaurant! They told me it was all booked this Sunday even if I was just a single person. I found it strange that you can book a table in such a restaurant that is close to the museum.

The Georges Labit Museum, also known as Musee Georges Labit, is a captivating 19th-century museum located in Toulouse. It was established by Georges Labit to showcase his extensive collection of treasures from the Far East and Ancient Egypt. The museum is housed in a magnificent Moorish villa near the Canal du Midi, designed by architect Jules Calbayrac. Visitors can explore various themed rooms dedicated to cultures such as Egypt, Japan, China, India, and Mongolia.

5 euro a little overpriced for a very short visit. The staff were not very friendly. The exhibits were interesting and were well displayed but there was no information about George himself. The garden had potential but lacked benches to sit. I think I would have been quite happy just to see the outside of the building which is really lovely. It's a way out of town but no toilets or refreshments available.
Andrea C — Google review
Information is only in french, and even that's pretty limited. Entry is cheap and free for students, and the (downstairs) egyptian collection is a bit more elaborate. All in all a nice small museum to cool down on a hot day, but not something to base a daytrip around.

Great little museum with amazing asian and Egyptian antiquities in a very peaceful part of Toulouse near the canal and the Jardin des Plantes. This is our 2nd visit with the kids. They really liked it also. A little bit macabre with the Egyptian mummy. Hopefully the original objects will be returned to their respective countries museums and replicas carefully made instead. In the meantime great place with kids

Galerie Le Château d'Eau in Toulouse is a unique cultural destination for photography enthusiasts. Since its conversion in 1974, it has become a pivotal cultural spot in the city, recognized as a historic monument since 1987.

About the place: A good place for photography lovers. The exhibition is quite small and takes less than an hour for a visit even if you pay for 2 exhibitions. Hope to see more contents and the storyline behind. Reduced price is 2.5€ for 2 exhibits. About the neighborhood: you will see this tower right after crossing Pont Neuf. I wouldn’t say that I feel the most secure or safe in this neighborhood but it indeed is quite colorful and cute. Better to come before it gets dark.

Compact and atmospheric photography gallery set in an historic water tower at the end of the Pont Neuf. The tower itself is very restricted for wall space but there is another larger room in the garden that also houses more wall space. Good selection of art photography books for sale. Entrance fee only 4 Euros

Interesting building itself. Entrance per adult was 5 euros. There are 2 galleries, the first is in the main building and where you pay, the second is separate and to the left of the main building. The contents of the exhibition changes and so difficult to access....however what I viewed at my time was low grade and I feel that anyone could find enough photos of similar quality from their own personal album's. The staff were lovely in the main building. Personally I preferred the medical museum across the road which is free and way more interesting. If it's only art you seek...then it's ok and as i say dependant on the artist showing a time.

The Basilica of Our Lady of the Daurade, located in Toulouse, has a rich history dating back to a Roman temple. It is home to an 1807 replica of the 15th-century Black Madonna. Situated by the Garonne River, it offers a serene atmosphere and houses the Black Madonna adorned in exquisite garments designed by renowned fashion designers.

The Basilique Notre-Dame de la Daurade is a beautiful religious site in Toulouse with a rich history. Originally built in the early Middle Ages, the basilica has undergone several transformations over the centuries, blending Romanesque and Gothic architectural elements. The interior is peaceful and elegantly decorated, making it a wonderful place for reflection and admiration. Its golden statue of the Virgin Mary is a notable highlight, symbolizing the deep spiritual heritage of the city. A must-visit for anyone interested in history and sacred architecture.

We went on a quick visit on Saturday. They were having a service to welcome the new bishop so we sit to listen. The sun was going down so the light inside was beautiful and the windows were projecting rainbows on the walls. The ceiling is just impressive. I really recommend to go pay a visit if you are around. You can easily see why is cold the gold basilica.

This is a beautiful church, such just near the river. You walk into the side entrance and see the rose of the long side nave but when you walk into the middle aisle of the church, it opens up to a huge and spacious area. There’s some wonderful sculptures and beautiful paintings. The ceiling decoration is delicate and lovely. Well worth a visit.
G M — Google review
This is a Roman Catholic basilica renowned for its venerated Vierge Noire (Black Madonna), considered the protector of the city. The name "Daurade" comes from the French word for "gilded" or "golden," referencing the original church's golden mosaics. The first church was built in the 5th century in Byzantine style, but after its collapse in the 18th century, it was rebuilt, and by the 19th century, it took on its current Neoclassical appearance. The church was officially granted basilica status in 1879 by Pope Pius IX. From the front of the basilica, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Pont Neuf and the Garonne riverbank.

We visited for the European cup game against the Exeter Chiefs. Such an excellent experience, great fans (I now have a Stade Toulousain hat and there is someone in Toulouse with my Chiefs hat) and such an atmosphere. French rugby really needs to be experienced to witness how passionate the fans are (although they do let themselves down by booing the visiting kicker). Plenty of bars but the only option appears to be Carlsberg which surprised me a little bit ... it's very pleasant on a hot and sunny afternoon though.

Pathé Wilson is an elegant hotel located in the town center, offering clean and comfortable rooms with ample sizes and beautiful views of the town. The hotel may allow pets for an additional charge. The cinema at Pathé Wilson features a Dolby Cinema auditorium inside a historic building, blending baroque elegance with modernity. Guests praise the kind and wonderful employees as well as the good sound quality during VOST showings of English language movies.
Nice theatre, comfy chairs! Enjoyed my movie!
Hakuna C — Google review
Very clean and well organized movie theater. They have most of the good movies in the original version.
Rony A — Google review
Great cinema in the center of Toulouse, with several screens, offering movies in French and English (Version Originale - VO). Prices higher compared to other cinemas in Toulouse
Emilia P — Google review
Seats are comfortable and screens are good, but that is the end of my praise for this theater. I seriously don't understand the high rating. The concessions are self-serve and self-checkout -- okay, fine. But attendants will then scrutinize your every chocolate piece, which defeats the purpose and slows things down anyway. I expect popcorn and concessions to be overpriced, of course, but the ten euro popcorn (not even all that large) seemed excessive even to my jaded self. But hey, we wanted it so we got it. Well once we were seated and took a bite I realized it was *completely stale.* REALLY stale. Basically inedible. Surely in France that's a culinary crime? Then comes the end of the movie, where I tried to take my child to the bathroom before leaving. Not allowed! They blocked the door we entered through with the equivalent of caution tape. Seriously! And herded everyone out to the street. There was thus no way to use the restroom without buying another ticket. Absolutely absurd. I was surprised not to hear more pushback, but I guess the regulars have just been conditioned to accept this. Folks, there is a better way! So, you've been warned. Don't buy the popcorn, and try not to drink anything during the movie.

Nice cinema. Less than one star because the air conditioner doesn't work. I complained 2 times because the temperature was warm and uncomfortable. But I think they don't care
Felipe — Google review
Just watched a movie in Dolby Atmos at this theatre. The movie experience was really great without air conditioning. I must say I paid additional six euros to see a movie drenching in my own sweat. I wish they had given me a "hand fan" charging a few more euros. I could also see the predicament of my fellow colleagues at the theatre. I would like to thank Pathe Wilson for providing such wonderful experience. I would really recommend this place after a swim for a hot sauna. Just don't waste people's time.
Akshay K — Google review
The seats are quite expensive, without mentioning the foods/drinks that are clearly way above their value, even for a cinema! You cannot wait in the cinema until 20mins before your movie, and the waiting rooms lack seats (80% the people are forced to stand while waiting). May I add that you choose your seat when buying it, which in itself is good as long as there aren't only the front right and left seats remaining (which happens in the small rooms), and when you're not concerned those who want the middle seats take them anyway, and the security comes and pauses the movie to put everyone into its seat... 😐
Quentin M — Google review
It is very expensive. More expensive than Dubai where the salaries are much higher than those in Toulouse. We only allow ourselves to watch a movie once or twice a year at PATHÉ Toulouse. Much more affordable and ecological to watch in our town's cinema when VO reaches us or on cable at home. On the positive side, Pathé is clean and offers a wider choice of American and British movies in English.

Plaza
Place Saint-Pierre in Toulouse is a hotspot for sports fans, especially rugby enthusiasts. The riverside area is lined with bars where people gather to watch matches. Chez Tonton and Le Filochard are popular spots known for their lively atmosphere and good drinks. The square also features a vintage carousel in front of Square Louise Michel, making it a picturesque location for photos with the Sacre-Coeur in the background.
Lovely square where there was a market and a swing band playing on the Sunday afternoon that we visited. You can stroll onto the bridge or walk down to the river bank from here and it's just on the edge of the characterful centre of the town. Plenty of bars and cafes to sit and soak up the atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

The square on the bank of Garonne river in the Toulouse, France. The area is well located in the main city centre. It is frequented by students and has good eatries nearby.
S K — Google review
A fantastic place for a leisurely stroll on a sunny afternoon. Toulouse is such a vibrant city—full of energy, charm, and exciting sights to explore on foot. I only wish we had planned more than just one day here.
April W — Google review
Beautiful place to chill. Lots of places to eat or drink around. Nice to have a stroll over the bridge
M D — Google review
This is a lively square located along the banks of the Garonne River. Historically, it served as a site for riverside trade and local markets. Today, the square is lined with numerous cafés, bars, and restaurants, making it one of the city's most vibrant spots.
Seokjin H — Google review
This place is wonderful! I strolled upon this area one Sunday when everything else was closed. It is beautiful with the river and in the square there was a craft fair going on with lots of tents/booths as well as a live band and swing dancers! It was exactly what I wanted to see on a lovely Sunday afternoon. There are lots of areas to see nearby and the Capital Plaza nearby is worth checking out on other days (not Sunday) with lots of shops and restaurants if you can stroll around before 5pm.
Esther H — Google review
Very nice, charming plaza. Great views of the river and bridge. Nice older buildings around it. Well maintained with nice trees. Stairs down to the river and places to sit and enjoy.
Marcus J — Google review
Highly recommended to visit in the evening and hang out on the riverbank at dusk and even have a picnic. There are some interesting bars and restaurants around.

Good beer and nice place to chat!!
Gustavo G — Google review
Nice beer-but the pub feels more like a student haunt than a warm, cosy place to meet up with your mates (what a pub is truly): drunk people shouting inside -and being allowed to.
R. C — Google review
Back from Ireland, it was nice to be able to enjoy a pinte of Guiness and hear irish music even if it was a bit difficult to hear each other speak! I didn't see the dartboard, but it must have been hidden somewhere. That's for next time.
Christian C — Google review
Good Irish pub with decent screens to watch rugby. Could have a better selection of Irish beers.
Tim S — Google review
Not that bad a bit small for large groups. The terrace is not fitted as well for many people trying to grab a drink outside. One of the oldest pub in Toulouse if not the oldest
Maxime G — Google review
I went on an evening when Paris and Madrid football teams were facing off. TV at the bar was centre of attention. Very excited crowd. Surprised to find Indian whiskey AMRUT at this bar too.
