Millers is a versatile establishment located in the heart of The Hague, offering a range of experiences to its patrons. By day, it serves as an international restaurant with a terrace and cocktail bar, specializing in Asian fusion cuisine. The venue boasts a grand cafe, an a la carte restaurant, an Asian bites cafe, six bars including a wine and cocktail bar, dance areas, private spaces, and a spacious terrace.
First of all, I would mention that food here is great. We had special surprise offer for 2 persons and it was very nice, tasty, different dishes of meat and sea food with great taste combinations. Liked it a lot, but had to wait for food to long, also, final price for dishes was misunderstood by use, so surprise was not only dishes. After all nice evening.
Andrejs L — Google review
The pace is very nice with comfortable outdoor sittings. Menu is rich and everyone can find something suitable and good. Presentation of dishes are ok. The only thing would be the service. The guy serving us was not cheerful, nor enjoying or smiling, and really suitable for service and hospitality I would say. We are on holidays and saw most of people smiling, welcoming, but not today with this service man.
Siline N — Google review
Fine place to sit and enjoy view of people walking outside like doing ramp walks lol. Toilets are not so clean and there was no paper there also.
Rahil G — Google review
We stopped by with a friend to enjoy a few beers and asked for some tap water. The waiter informed us that since we hadn’t ordered food, they couldn’t serve us water. I found that quite strange — we were still paying guests, after all. When I politely asked for an explanation, the waiter responded rather rudely and said it was management’s policy and there was nothing he could do. Overall, the experience felt unwelcoming. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxed spot to enjoy a drink and good company.
Petar I — Google review
The most disrespectful and rude bouncers I’ve ever seen. Some guy asked my friend to put his drinks on a table behind us near the sidewalk- turned out it was a setup so his friends outside could grab them. We had no clue, we thought it was for him and didn’t give it any importance. My friend got kicked out instantly. The bouncer wouldn’t even let her speak. I explained him very calmly and pointed at the guy who set it all up- he looked at me like I was nothing and just walked away. We were planning to leave anyway, but I felt it wasn’t fair, so I tried to explain to another bouncer. He acted annoyed, told me I give him a headache. There were no consequences for the guy who actually caused this. As a young woman, it’s honestly shocking how far they can go to disrespect you. They don’t listen, they’re rude, and they treat you like animals- when really, they’re the ones behaving like ones.
Dana G — Google review
I arrived at the club on Saturday night. I parked my car in the parking lot. My wife and sister entered the venue. When I arrived at the door, the security guard told me not to come out. He told me not to come in, saying he couldn't let me in unless I was accompanied by a woman. While I was standing there, four black men and four Dutch men were allowed in. This was racism. The person who identified himself as the security manager even spoke to my wife rudely and racistly, pushing me with his hand and speaking against my duty. You can check the security cameras for your information.
Cahit T — Google review
Apparently if you do not order food you cannot get water which in my opinion is ridiculous. The waiter was rude as hell (a guy with flesh earrings). If it is not necessary do not sit here.
HAARP — Google review
Ladies listen! so they got some guys standing in corners observing and eventually one of them is going to try to hit on you while his friends are watching. I was with a group of people including male friends, and when a guy wouldn’t stop harassing the girls in our group, our guys decided to step in and tell them to leave us alone. Unsurprisingly, this resulted in security harassing us, literally saying the guy did nothing wrong, “he comes here every week”. so basically we got kicked out when one of our guys tried to speak up. Security didn’t want to hear us out, no matter how calmly we tried to explain. They just pushed us out instead of dealing with the real problem.

Mauritshuis is a government collection in The Hague, Netherlands, featuring hundreds of Dutch paintings including works by renowned artists like Rembrandt and Vermeer.
A bit crowded, but fantastic collection of Dutch painters. The atmosphere and space is just amazing. The gallery is not that huge, I think you can go through in an hour. I highly recommend to download the app before you go.
Petr Z — Google review
Visited Mauritshuis, a very well-known museum located in The Hague, near the Binnenhof. The first interesting thing I learned is that Mauritshuis actually means “Maurits’ house”, which is quite fascinating! However, behind the beauty of the building, the story of how its fortune was built is not entirely pleasant. However I won’t spoil it, because you should visit and find out yourself! This museum is also home to the iconic “Girl with a Pearl Earring” by Johannes Vermeer. Fun fact: we might not even be sure it’s an earring, as it doesn’t appear to be hooked! Another remarkable painting is “View of Delft”, also by Vermeer, which holds a special place in my heart since we live nearby and it carries meaningful memories. We even bought a puzzle of that painting, surprisingly affordable for something sold in such a prestigious museum! During our visit, there was also a live Q&A about painting restoration, where they were working on “The Bull” by Paulus Potter. It was fascinating to see how restoration combines art, material and chemical engineering, ethics, and history. For instance, The Bull was taken during the French occupation of the Netherlands, and at some point, a nail scratch was added to the painting. The big question is: do you fix it, restore it, or keep it as part of history? You decide! You can also download the Mauritshuis app and enjoy a free audio guide directly from your phone. I recommend bringing your own headset for the best experience. Overall, a truly great and thought-provoking experience, so I highly recommended!

A small but nice museum with a collection of beautiful paintings. I went there to see the Girl with the Pearl Earring. It was interesting to watch experts clean up one of the paintings. Staff are friendly & helpful, the museum & facilities are clean and the shop has nice souvenirs. You can buy your tickets at the reception as well as leave your coat and bags.
G. S — Google review
On a per square foot basis, this relatively small museum in the Hague might be the very best art museum in the world. The number of amazing masterpieces from the Dutch is nothing short of stunning. The ability to get close to them is even more wonderful, although people have to abuse this privilege by trying to vandalize the paintings with desserts and other terrible things. From start to finish, we were absolutely stunned by the quality and intimacy of this place. That someone who doesn’t even love art all that much, I fell in love with it.
David S — Google review
We were iffy about going here but saw it listed as maybe the top attraction in den Haag we ponied up and I enjoyed the very impressive detail of so many paintings from around 1600s then seeing Rubens and Rembrandt I was able to see what made them different and special - luminescence and stuff so that was interesting. To save walking up the steps there is a lift but the trick is the button is on top of the post outside not on the wall so if you’re looking on the wall you’ll never find the button for the lift.
Ultimobile — Google review
The Mauritshuis is a beautifully curated museum with an exceptional collection, including several world-famous paintings like Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring and Rembrandt’s The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp. The galleries are intimate and thoughtfully arranged, which makes it easy to appreciate each masterpiece up close. However, the museum is quite small, and the ticket price feels a bit high for the amount of time you can comfortably spend inside. Even so, the quality of the artwork and the elegance of the building make it a memorable and worthwhile visit.
T H — Google review
The museum is relatively small in size, but the collection of artworks it houses is exceptionally valuable and impressive. It includes masterpieces by Rembrandt, Vermeer, Hals, and many other renowned artists. Despite its size, the museum offers a rich and rewarding experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
Ali K — Google review
Many famous paintings are worth seeing, and the service is excellent from the front desk to the guiding staff. However, the museum’s voice guidance system isn't good enough; it has limited voice introductions to only some of the paintings and needs better optimization. It would be better to integrate it into a single system so tourists don't have to constantly switch between earphones, their own mobile phones, and the museum’s guidance devices.

The building houses a relaxed restaurant, work spaces, and a rooftop bar with panoramic views of the city center. Additionally, it features karaoke rooms for entertainment. The rooftop bar, known as Het Dak, serves up delicious cocktails and hosts themed evening specials such as Taco Night on Thursdays.
Loved the rooftop at Bleyenberg—easily one of the best spots in The Hague for a drink with a view. The vibe was relaxed but lively, with a nice mix of people and a great atmosphere overall. Cocktails were well made and came out quickly, and the staff were friendly. Perfect place to catch up with friends, unwind after work, or just take in the city from above. Will definitely be back.

If you’re looking for a fun night out with friends, this is definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming, and the staff make you feel welcome right away. The song selection is huge, from timeless classics to current chart hits, so everyone in the group can find something they’re excited to sing.

Was the bar bley opening night. Enjoyed their cocktails. Tasting menu was good. We specially loved the grilled prawns & Korean chicken.
Rebekah R — Google review
Very nice rooftop terrace with nice views. Their drinks were okay, however, I have to say that some of the cocktails tasted like they didn't have much alcohol in them, and the red wine was a bit too warm. They also have a very handy, fuss-free ordering system, where you scan a QR code on the table and order via your phone.

Lovely place with private karaoke rooms! Great hospitality with friendly and kind staff! Sound system gets loud but not overbearing at all

I have been many times and this year it has improved significantly. The interior has been updated and looks like a jungle. The terrace is one of the few in the city looking over grote markt. - good cocktails - friendly and fast staff - nice ambience - great view

Absolutely amazing experience: 3 day workshop managed spectacularly well by al staff. We had a very international crew so we had to go back and forth with the dietary arrangements and Manoeska and her team did an incredible job and accommodating all the needs. Also the two people who looked after the room after us every day and brought it coffee and tea were amazing, super calm and understanding. The facility is accessible by elevator but the bathrooms may be a little tricky tiger in if you have assisted mobility devices!

Café Restaurant Rootz is a bustling and popular cafe-bar located in The Hague. Since opening its doors in 1998, it has become known for its extensive beer selection, offering over 200 varieties to choose from, including their own tasty Rootz beers and a wide range of Belgian beers. The interior features bare-brick walls and a wood-beamed ceiling, creating a cozy atmosphere that draws patrons in.
Great atmosphere and vibe! The ceilings, wall decorations, and overall layout really allows both intimate small conversations and bigger crowds. The service was really quick and helpful. Menu was quite comprehensive. Prices normal. Only note - all snacks come in 3. That felt like half portion. But interesting choices (like Cheddar bell peppers…)
Ozzy E — Google review
We went to have dinner with kids. The service was good although they took too long. The cheese fondue was not great. The vegetables and bread were also not special at all. The pork was okish. The portions are small, and we were told from the beginning. The sweet potato was very good. I loved it. I this is a place to enjoy beers with some friends, but not a place for having dinner with kids.
Ricardo M — Google review
€20 for nachos seem a lot but qas quite happy with the abundance of toppings. Good service and nice atmosphere especially on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Nachos and Guinness under the sun - what else could one ask for?
Jin H — Google review
The service was really good, the young lady serving us was super helpful and friendly, all the staff were. The restaurant itself was clean and the atmosphere was great. The menu had a good choice of food and drinks, though it would be nice to see a few more vegetarian options. I thought the main meals were a bit pricey, 25 euros for a vegetarian burger is a lot. I would recommend giving it a try.
Michelle K — Google review
Located opposite El Mamma restaurant, on Grote marktstraat, Café-Restaurant Rootz in the Hague, is where tradition meets creativity, and nowhere is that more evident than in their standout cocktail, the “Dutch Mule.” During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of trying their signature cocktail, the Dutch Mule. Tried for the first time with a friend, this jenever-based twist on the classic Moscow Mule instantly won us over. Crisp, zesty, and served in a copper mug, it’s the perfect blend of Dutch heritage and modern flair. There is a lot of choices, however, I highly recommend the Dutch Mule for anyone curious to sip something uniquely local.

Good selection of beers, high prices. Not exactly a family atmosphere. Still a good place to enjoy a fine beer.

Nice cafe with an outdoor seating area that offers nice views for people watching. The food ranged from excellent to below standards. For example, the grilled shrimps were mouthful and juicy while the Bali chicken tasted terrible and dry. The berry mojito was excellent. The staff are super friendly! However, the service can be slow. The greens salad was delicious!

Disgusting place. Racist bouncers/security people, can't even say the words spoken ( disrespectful towards mother). Mimicking the Hollywood stereotype of how Indian people talk with exaggerated head movements, and said 'I explained it in your way'. Avoid this place at all costs. Not worth it.

Madurodam is an interactive park featuring miniature models of Dutch buildings, landmarks, and daily life. The park showcases famous attractions such as the Binnenhof/Parliament, Peace Palace, and Noordeinde Palace in a 1:25 scale setting. Visitors can explore replicas of windmills, markets, museums, and even witness a harbor fire being extinguished. With pathways and tram tracks creating a sprawling village atmosphere, Madurodam offers an immersive experience for all ages.
Whatta love place to have meal after a fantastic exploration of the Holland miniature park! I highly recommend this tourist spot in the Netherland, The gardens are beautiful well maintained and well worth it a must to see. Brilliant place I was enjoying every single moment there. Toilets are clean. Staffs are lovely and friendly.

We recently visited Madurodam in The Hague, and our entire family had a fantastic time! It was perfect outing for both the adults and kids. This park is more than just miniature models; it's a interactive and educational experience. Our child loved being able to push buttons, make things move, and participate in the various activities throughout the park. It was a brilliant way to see the Netherlands' history and landmarks come to life in a way that engages younger visitors. For the adults, we appreciated the clever use of technology to make the exhibits feel dynamic. It offers a wonderful, bite-sized overview of the country's highlights. If you're looking for an outing that keeps everyone entertained and teaches them something new, Madurodam is a must-see.

I absolutely loved this place. The simulations were so amazing. I lo ed the historic stories told and the entire set up, is genius. A great place for kids but for adults alike. Its so interesting and there is so much to see, time will pass by and you would have spent almost an entire day. The best time to go is from when they open at 10.

It's a fun place to see the highly detailed miniature Dutch, Amsterdam - cityscapes, buildings, architecture, churches, airports, wind farms, wind mills, Canal systems, functional railway track and different trains running around, traffic vehicles moving on the road, ships, boats moving in the water... It was a fun time.. different big bridges recreated where it feels like a small overpass that you walk on, it's a fun get away
Gautham V — Google review
Great experience for adults and kids. Plenty of interactive setups to keep the kids engaged and interested, while admiring the great miniature cities. There are also other experiences scattered within the park. Good - clean - interactive and engaging activities - park for kids and adults - impressive miniature landmarks - facilities (toilets, restaurants, playgrounds)
Adeel Q — Google review
What if a country makes a fascinating structure where the net proceeds 1st were meant for TB hospital and then later, started going towards the various Charities of the Netherlands? An awesome thrill to know indeed, that such a place does exist, leading humanity to it, where their presence collectively and perpetually, helps such charities out. Madurodam, named after George Maduro, a law student from Curacao, who was awarded 'Medal of Knight', (highest medal of Netherlands) for his tremendous valour in fighting Nazi occupation forces and who died later at Dachau concentration camp in 1945. . Madurodam, was opened for public during 1952. It is a miniature park of the 'Hague', Netherlands consisting of 1:25 scale model replicas and miniature versions of famous Dutch landmarks, cities etc. It includes indoor attractions that tell Dutch histories, art & culture, themed areas, some restaurants, and a few stores to get what-you-want including fridge magnets, bottles and smiling back items, getting ready to get picked up. Travelling to Netherlands? Ensure then, that this is added on to your MUST-VISIT place.
Neeru D — Google review
Madurodam was my favorite experience during my entire trip to the Netherlands. I loved exploring the miniature versions of Dutch cities and landmarks. It felt like traveling through the whole country in just a few hours. My favorite parts were steering the ships through the canals, controlling the helicopter, and interacting with the fun exhibits like attracting the fishes. The park is very well designed, with so many details that bring Dutch history, architecture, and culture to life. It’s both educational and entertaining, making it a great place for families, couples, or solo travelers. I would recommend it as one of the first stops for tourists visiting the Netherlands. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Parking was a little pricey, but that might just be my perspective as a visitor from abroad. Overall, I would definitely like to return and see it again.

The Peace Palace, located in The Hague, Netherlands, is a stunning Renaissance-style complex that houses judicial courts, gardens, and a library. It serves as the home for the International Court of Justice and the Permanent Court of Arbitration. Built with funding from Andrew Carnegie to promote peace through international law, it officially opened in 1913.
Visitor center is free to visit. Lots of information. View of gardens and peace palace. We had booked the inside the palace tour. No photos allowed. Our guide, Leon, was great! The interior is beautiful. Decorated with gifted items from countries - marble from Italy, tiles from Delft/Netherlands, statue from US, tapestries from Japan, etc. Got to see Court of Arbitration and Court of Justice. Highly recommend!

The Peace Palace is not only a beautiful landmark, but also a global symbol. It represents the hope of peace and the idea of true justice — a place where the world should find fairness and equality.

Website says you have to book a tour. I booked a tour called "inside the peace palace" only at the beginning to be told by the tour guide "this is not a tour of the inside of the peace palace - as it says on your tour ticket". Well that's deceptive. Frankly a waste of money to walk around the gardens and hear about the statues....don't bother booking. Ironic for the centre of transparency and truth to be so deceptive about its tours.

Peace palace is a property of Carnegie foundation. International court of Justices and Permanent court of arbitration operates out of here. Impressive building. The court room exudes authority and power. General entry is not permitted inside the building

Free admission with a free audio guide on your phone (recommend to bring your own earphones if you prefer not to use theirs). Very informative from origin to different case studies. However, there was no guided tour and we were confined to a rather small exhibition area.
Jennifer Y — Google review
The palace is beautiful, and of importance, worth a quick view. You can only see the building from the outside. There are for now only a few possibilities to enter the building, only a couple of times a year, with a tour. Book in advance. But: at of this moment no tour has been scheduled. The Visitors Center, although the people are friendly and helpful, is not worth a visit. You will not find any interesting pieces of history. And the visiting takes only 2 minutes. In my opinion it could have been so much more interesting. P.s. There are toilets inside, to enter the toilets, you need a 50 cents coin.

Truly very peaceful place The Peace Palace, Hague. The court structure is humongous and picturesque along with vast green lush beautiful garden. Also there are two significant structures; first The Peace tree where people tie peace notes which is an amazing feeling to be able to notice add your own peace note and feel part of world peace and Second a peace memorial fire which has one stone from each country put around it. This is one of a kind experience to be here.

Bar & Restaurant Milú is a vibrant and modern establishment located in the heart of The Hague. Unlike traditional cafes, it boasts a spacious and well-lit interior with an industrial-style decor. This hidden gem offers a diverse menu featuring Japanese, European, and Middle Eastern cuisine, including sushi, Turkish-style pumpkin, and tandoori chicken. On Wednesdays, patrons can enjoy cocktails at a special price while soaking in the lively atmosphere with DJ sounds on Friday evenings.
A chic restaurant in the most vibrant part of the city. On Saturdays it can be hard to find a table inside but outside is also fine. Their servings and food are not big in portion but reasonable in price. Staff is kind and caring. Terrace is cozy to sit for couple of hours, eat and chat with a group of people.

Cute place with a lot of space. A lot of nice options for food and drinks. Nice for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just drinks. Would highly recommend, but can be crowded. The also have some nice events on Sundays or the first week of the month.

Stopped by for dessert. The ambiance was nice and cozy. Service was a bit slow, likely due to how busy it was. The dessert itself was slightly sour for my taste, but the ice cream on top added a pleasant balance. Overall, a decent experience.

Very good place for The Hague near the Binnenhof. Not much going on on a Monday evening in the Hague, but this place has nice indoor and outdoor seating, good music, not too loud, just nice. Cocktail was quite good, and food was tasty.
Mark T — Google review
One of our go to places for dinner in The Hague. The dishes are size of starters and are meant to be shared. This is excellent for an evening out with a group of friends. The food is delicious and there is a wide variety for those with dietary restrictions. The restaurant tends to get busy quite often , a reservation would guarantee a nice cozy table inside!
Inshira F — Google review
The lunch menus are good choices. The veggie and fish tasting were delicious, the staff friendly and helpful.
Attila N — Google review
This place has become so much worse than 1-2 years ago. Rice sticks are now little rice cubes, 4 micro cubes for 11 euros. The portions are now basically 1/4 of what they used to serve in 2024. My cocktail was just so bad: ugly, small, some sweet juice - 11,50eur. No wonder the place was half empty on a Friday night. I used to like this place but I will never come back again.
Katja P — Google review
Milú is without a doubt one of my absolute favorite places to dine in The Hague. Whether it’s for lunch, dinner, or drinks, I find myself returning again and again—and for good reason. The atmosphere is vibrant yet cozy, the service is consistently friendly and efficient, and the overall experience is always highly enjoyable. One of the things that sets Milú apart is its varied and creative cuisine. The menu offers a thoughtful selection of internationally inspired small dishes, each carefully crafted and beautifully presented. There’s something for everyone—whether you're in the mood for fresh and light, rich and indulgent, or something in between. Every dish I’ve tried has been consistently flavorful and well-balanced. The service is fast and attentive, and although it can get quite busy (especially on weekends), the staff always manage to remain welcoming and professional. It’s clear they care about both the food and the experience they provide. I particularly recommend visiting during their Cocktail & Mocktail Wednesdays, where the drinks are not only delicious but also creatively put together. Their Sushi Sundays are also a highlight—an excellent combination of quality and variety that’s hard to beat. Given its popularity, I strongly advise making a reservation in advance, especially if you’re planning to go on a Friday or Saturday. It fills up quickly, and that alone speaks volumes about the quality Milú consistently delivers. After each visit, I leave with a smile on my face and a very satisfied appetite. It’s become a place I look forward to every month and one I always recommend to friends and visitors alike. Truly one of the best culinary spots in The Hague.

Specialty Museums
Museon, located in The Hague, is a cutting-edge museum that offers an enriching experience for families. It delves into the intricate connection between humanity and the environment through its extensive collections spanning geology, biology, history, archeology, physics, technology and ethnology. With over 273,000 objects on display including items from the Inuit culture of Greenland and artifacts related to the Japanese occupation of the Dutch East Indies.
We took our grand daughters there and had a wonderful time exploring the museum. It was followed by the movie theater next door (a dome type IMAX). Animal Kingdom and Turtle Odyssey was playing. Both were excellent.

Really nice museum with lot's of interactive exhibits for the kids (and adults). I really recommend it for families! There's also a very nice garden and it's linked to a dome shaped cinema that often played nature documentaries.
Jeff B — Google review
It is a nice museum, where we need around 2-3 hours with children aged 6 years old. Interesting topics and interactive learning through different stations was the best experience for us. As adults, we also learned new things.

Very education and fun for kids, we had a good day. Don't look for Omniversum if you want to see a movie, it's called dome and located outside on the right you will find signs, again not Omniversum.. so confusing

This is a great museum for everyone. It is family-friendly, and you can spend a day exploring mankind's relationship with nature and culture. It is very educational and engaging, explaining several biological, chemical, and geological phenomena in a clear and understandable way. I strongly recommend it if you are in the area. Don't forget to combine your trip with the amazing Omniversum.

We were there on a weekend and it was lovely. We had a 6 and 8 year old with us and neither of them got bored in the over 4 hours we were there and that was just with the movie and skipping around the second floor. I highly recommend for anyone with children, though I would recommend it for children 5 and up as most of the displays are hip level for adults and need reading

Great place for kids and family👪, irrespective of your age, you will enjoy this small yet vast Museum. It have lots of section, though small but have lot of information . At grond floor, it's music especial so you can engage with lot of instrument and can see few pieces from the history. On 1st floor, lot of info about planet , geography, history of Netherlands, space, under water life, list if endless.. After doing this museum if you have energy left( which is difficult) you can move to omniversum, again a excellent and out of world experience. Highly recommend.. Enjoy😊

Oh wow that was amazing, I wanted to visit that place just because it came to my mind to visit a royal palace and I got lucky because then figured out that it was opened just for two weeks in the year. The atmosphere inside is magnificent and I felt soo lucky to be there. There was even audio guides which I did not expect. The only rule that you need to hang it on your neck posed me off😄 because I don’t like to hang something on the neck and feel uncomfortable. Also mind that you can’t take videos and of course touch anything. But photos were amazing, I wanted to match the place as also few (unfortunately) people. Because I am maybe very visual so people on the sneakers and shorts was breaking the feeling that you are somewhere in the classy place and brought you back to relity.

Definitely worth a visit if you have the opportunity, because it's rare to see a palace that is in actual use. Only accessible for a few weeks per year, though, and with limited availability of tickets.

A wonderful experience visiting Palace Noordeinde, the working palace of the Dutch King. It’s a rare treat since the palace is only open to the public for a couple of weeks each year. We loved learning about its rich history and seeing the many beautifully decorated rooms, each with its own official purpose. We bought a combination ticket with the Royal Stables and spent about 3 hours in total exploring both. The audio guide was excellent and really brought the stories to life. Overall, a great afternoon and highly recommended if you get the chance!

Beautiful palace with a lovely architecture. This is the working palace of our king and he opened it to the public during his holidays. A good choice, the palace houses a lot of history. The works of art, various rooms give you a unique glimpse behind the scenes of the Royal House. The Tour is well organised. There are two queues and just in time I could enter. There is a set route and on arrival you can do an audio/video Tour. The audio/video Tour really comes highly recommended. You get a lot of information about the rooms and art. I enjoyed it!

We were so lucky to find tickets as the palace is open to visitors only for a few days during the summer. The entire experience is beautiful and so special! The audio guide which you'll receive at the entrance free of charge is very informative and easy to use. All the staff members were amazing, always smiling and happy to answer any questions. The palace itself is superb and unique, so worth visiting if you get the opportunity!

The Fiddler, located in The Hague, is a traditional English-style pub housed in a historic building that was once a church. This charming establishment features its own microbrewery where artisanal Anglican ales are crafted for patrons to savor. With over 200 bottled beers available and a tasting board for sampling homebrews, beer enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy. The pub also boasts nine large screens for watching sports events and offers a cozy ambiance with live music and delicious pub fare.
We were in desperate need of a bar to be showing the England 2025 Rugby World Cup final and found the Fiddler was showing the match. The bar had three big projector screens in the downstairs bar that was showing the match - at seat service and a great range of beers and snacks. We had such a thoroughly fun time watching the final and couldn’t have picked a better place!
Adam — Google review
Come here every time when I am in The Hague, mainly for their excellent own beers ("Animal Army"). Cannot comment on the food. Other than that, it's a "typical British pub" slash sports bar, the latter at least on match days.
Jan-Heinrich B — Google review
This is one of my favorite spots in Den Haag to enjoy a delicious beer — the selection is always fantastic and never disappoints. However, during my last visit, I decided to try the fish and chips, and unfortunately, it was a big letdown. The quality was so poor I ended up feeding it to the birds nearby. I’m sharing this because I truly like this place and hope the food quality, especially for this dish, can be improved. I’ll definitely be back for the beers — just hoping for a better experience with the food next time. Cheers to great drinks and hopefully better bites in the future!
Laura V — Google review
The Fiddler is a lively spot in the center of Den Haag with a fun, welcoming vibe. Spread across two levels, the pub has funky and interesting decor that makes it stand out. They host thematic nights and sometimes live music, which adds to the atmosphere and makes it a good place to hang out with friends. The location is also excellent, right in the city center and easy to get to. A solid choice if you’re looking for a casual night out with some entertainment and character.
G W — Google review
Okay place to drink something, they have their own type of beer which is nice. Their own stout(Cream bee) is €7,20 for a pint which is fair. Lots of tables. They also have an upstairs area where you can watch sports if you'd like that

The Fiddler is one of the most adorable pub in The Hague, located in the city centre. Typical Irish 🇮🇪 ☘️ pub full of lots of varieties of beers and they serve good food on the side! Being in The Hague and if you want to enjoy the bites and sips, this place is one of the good ones among others! Staff are very friendly and kind! You have the option of sitting indoor or outdoor.

We order food, it arrived cold, we complained, we got new flammkuchen but at that point we were full already so I ask to pack it to go, the girl who served us (I believe her name is Justine) just left us in the middle of conversation, came back with foil to pack it ourselves, of course it’s not a big deal, but how you pack flammkuchen in foil? Everything we eat was pretty cold and overpriced.

Botanica is not just a hotel restaurant; it's an experience. With an emphasis on Dutch cuisine, Botanica offers an authentic culinary journey without relying solely on fried snack-bar bites.
Great atmosphere and service. Service was fast and the food was great! The staff was attentive and ensured that all customers were attended to quickly. Would highly recommend! Kudos to the staff and Management. I see this restaurant had received some negative reviews on wait time etc but rest assured that restaurant has done its outmost to correct these negative reviews. All in all a great experience!
Laura O — Google review
We had high hopes for a nice Valentine’s dinner, but unfortunately, this restaurant did not meet expectations. From the start, service was incredibly slow. After placing our order, we waited over 20 minutes just to receive our drinks. Then, after a long wait for our food, we were informed that there had been an issue with our order and that it had to be placed again. To compensate, they brought us free bread and butter, which we ended up eating entirely out of hunger. By the time our starters finally arrived (an hour later!), we had already lost our appetite. The delays didn’t stop there—after finishing the starters, we waited another 45 minutes for our main courses. At the end, they offered free tea as an apology, but by that point, the evening was already ruined. The food itself was nothing special, certainly not worth the wait. Additionally, considering it was a Valentine’s Day special, the atmosphere was completely lacking—no candles, no flowers, nothing to create a romantic vibe. Since the restaurant is located inside a hotel, it felt more like a lobby dining area than a proper restaurant. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Definitely an interesting menu, nice to eat seasonal and 80% plant based. Plates look beautiful and service is good. A lot of attention for details :) Atmosphere is nice, only a bit of hotel vibes. Which is normal since the restaurant is located in the hotel Voco

A nice selection of dishes on the lunch menu. The dish I chose looked better than I was expecting and tasted even better yet. The staff were very nice and personable. The only issue is the mirrors on the ceiling. I felt like I couldn't check my work email because it would be broadcast to the tables next to us... An odd decor choice for a hotel restaurant in a city like The Hague.
Alex J — Google review
Botanica is located inside of the Voco hotel. As the name already tells, the focus is on vegetables and the interior is like a small garden. The atmosphere is nice, but not as cozy as the restaurant is open to the hotel lobby. Service is friendly, but not the quickest. The food was very nice and surprising. It is centered around locally sourced Dutch food. The menu even lists the CO2 impact per dish. Lovely. Just be aware that this place is on the expensive side.
Kristin — Google review
We had a delicious dinner here, tried delicious dishes such as brussels sprouts, porc neck, salsify and the Dutch cheeses from Ed Boele (who once was my local cheese monger). Staff is friendly, but a bit chaotic and overstretched, it seems. Waits can be on the long side. Dishes are not too big, and created in such a way that you can pick each one as a starter or main. The joy here is to experimemt a bit and maybe share some. The restaurant is in the Voco hotel, even though yoi can't see that from the outside.

Huppel The Pub, located in the heart of The Hague, has earned a reputation as one of the best bars in the area. It is beloved by locals for its warm and inviting atmosphere. The bar offers an extensive selection of craft beers from both local and international breweries, as well as a variety of whiskies. Visitors can expect attentive and friendly service from the staff, making it a great spot to unwind and enjoy a drink or two.
We visited three nights in a row on our recent trip to The Hague. Sunday night Levi was working, Monday night Marjolijn was. They each made the experience totally unforgettable! So warm, attentive and welcoming (and very helpful with choosing beer and jenever). Sadly Tuesday night, the barman created a vibe that was like a totally different bar. We left after just one round, but ended up next door at Café Momfer De Mol and had a great night there. We will certainly return to Huppel The Pub, though on a Sunday or Monday night! The amount we spent simply reflects how long we stayed the first two nights, not that the pub was pricey. Actually the prices are very fair.

Nice looking bar with lots of choices in drinks. Even 2 brands of lager (pils) to choose from. And even though not a big place big, there are waiters/waitresses which gives a premium feeling. Audience attending was open to conversations between strangers which was a big plus too.

We had a high wine. The small dishes were wonderful and the wine went well with them. They explained they were short staffed when we arrived and profusely apologised that it was a bit chaotic. The chef came to talk to us and was very attentive. He recommended dessert too and it was delicious

Really innovative kitchen! Shared dining concept but on a much higher level. Most of the food is an Asian fusion, very tasteful. I only tried one wicked wine which was a quite decent. They have a menu that fits on one side of an A4 which I always see as a good sign. I recommend the Tempura Brocoli (no,really)and the chocolate dessert. It's the first vegan dish in my life that I would re-order on the grounds of simply being just really good food.

MABKK — Google review
This place offers Asian fusion and I have to say as an Asian person I found the food quite disgusting. But I guess it is catered to Dutch flavour, WAY too much sugar in everything. Should be better if all of the seasoning is rethought. Presentation was nice. And for a wine place, the wine was quite awful. I would recommend fried food and beers but not any of the wine or food.
Henri S — Google review
Fun wine bar, especially for The Hague! Great spot to enjoy the sun in the afternoon. A good variety of wines from all over the world (various countries/regions - even wines from NL, St Martinus). I can always very much appreciate wine bars which have more variety! Good food & snacks to go with the wines! Grab some sushi ;)

Last time we were at Wicked Wines ( some years ago) we really loved the place… Yesterday was a different story. When we entered the restaurant we were seated to a tiny table with very uncomfortable small chairs at the entrance of the restaurant. First of all that is not a dinner table, and second it was very very cold. The waitress was very unfriendly. Not a single smile, she looked very annoyed, personally I would fire her at the spot if i was the owner. When we asked for another table, she literally said : No, we are booked the only other option is at the table over there but yeah that table is still not ready, it has no plates, glasses and etc…. I am like: wtf, it is YOUR JOB to prepare all tables and to serve the customers. Like I said very unfriendly and obviously very unhappy with her job. Never mind we decide to sit at the tiny uncomfortable table and we wait. AND WE WAIT… 10 mins no one brings us anything. No menu, nothing. The waitress was looking at the phone doing all sort of other stuff, like I said FIRE HER! After 10 mins, we just stood up and left as we decided we won’t sped our money at a such non-cosy and unfriendly place. It is a shame, as it used to be a very nice restaurant. So we went to Cafe de Florez, where we were very warm welcomed, the service was outstanding, the atmosphere was cosy and the food was great. You can learn a lot from them. It is a real shame as we will definitely NOT come back at Wicked Wines and tell all of our friends in The Hague about it.

The Museum of Literature, also known as the Children's Book Museum, is an interactive and engaging space designed to foster a love for reading in young children. It offers various language-based activities and reading corners where kids can immerse themselves in the world of iconic characters from children's literature. The museum provides an opportunity for children to explore imaginary worlds and embark on adventures inspired by their favorite stories.
Came here with my 13m old and she LOVED it! It’s rare to have a museum where toddlers can freely walk about, but the entire top floor was suitable for her to do this, and she had such fun wandering from room to room and playing with anything interactive. I’m looking forward to coming here again with her when she’s older and can appreciate the 6y+ floor. The cafe is lovely, friendly staff at reception/gift shop, and the graphics/art work and displays are enchanting.

Easy to get to from Centraal. Had the impression that the museum is targeted at toddlers and smaller kids but decided to visit anyway. The basement is targeted at older kids with many interactive activities that earn them add ons to the character they build. They are decent difficulty levels and there is a little waiting for other kids but nothing inconvenient. Loads of writings and quotes as they work through the various activities. Its a decent amount of activity and reading. We did two hours and were not fully done. Kids got hungry and cafe had run out of sandwiches so we left. This was around 2.45pm. This was a little disappointing. The staff at the cafe are lovely though. You get a card on your way out as a souvenir. There is a gift shop mostly in dutch.

My 11 month old and newly 5 year old had a great time playing together. It’s so nice to find somewhere they can both enjoy! Especially that there are no shoes allowed on the younger children’s floor, so it is ok for little ones to crawl around. It was clean and had plenty of toilets and easily accessible with a stroller.

The Kinderboekenmuseum in Den Haag is a calm, welcoming spot where children can really lose themselves in stories. It’s designed with little ones in mind — cozy reading corners, a storytelling nook, and a range of hands-on, tactile exhibits that invite playful exploration without overwhelming. The layout makes it easy for parents to keep an eye on kids, and the staff are warm and attentive, creating a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere ideal for a slow morning or gentle afternoon outing. They also offer storytelling sessions and workshops that add extra charm. In addition to the book-focused areas, the museum has a dedicated arts-and-crafts room for creative projects and a cafeteria where families can take a break and enjoy a snack or drink. Overall, it’s a soothing, imaginative place that encourages curiosity, reading, and creative play for toddlers through early elementary ages.

Experience was very lovely. Took us, a family with a 6 and 8 year old about 4 hours to do everything. The activities were engaging, the play areas were fun and the arts and crafts room was awesome

It is a Really lovely place also for the little ones. However entry is quite expensive considering that each parent has to pay full price. And low score simply on the account that there were 3 mice roaming around in the cafe. Not sanitary at all especially in a place for children

Nestled beside a picturesque canal on the south side of The Hague's city center, Bierspeciaal Café De Paas stands out as a must-visit for beer enthusiasts. With its charming antique facade featuring red shutters and mullion windows, this cozy bar invites you into a warm, low-lit interior filled with an impressive collection of bottled beers and specialty glasses.
Really nice bar, a huge selection of beers to cater for every taste. Friendly staff who will help you decide which drink to select. Great atmosphere. 🍻

A beer specialist café with a terrace and boat terrace. If you are a beer connoisseur, this is the place to come. That is almost all you will find on the menu. Some nuts and breadsticks are served with the drinks. If you do not drink alcohol. There are soft drinks and ginger and mint tea options. The menu has limited food options. Sitting on the terrace is a mixed experience. It is nice to be on the water in the Dunne Bierkade. On the other hand, being outdoors means some times sitting down wind from smokers.
Tamilew329 — Google review
Nice place, old style but with character, lovely staff , great choice of beer from Belgium and Trappist beers also. Some wine available and it has this tiny lovely back garden and a front floating terrace.

The service was bad and by bad I mean they are very slow and not paying attention to the customers. Great variaty of beers at least
Evgeni P — Google review
Beautiful location, especially the terrace on the boat, great choice of beers and friendly service: it's difficult to not like this place. My only issue is that the area inside is limited and so on the most popular days it gets crowded. Enjoying a few beers on the boat terrace during a sunny afternoonis is one of the most pleasurable things to do in the Hague! Proost.

Beautiful location. The outdoor seating had a lovely atmosphere beside a canal with age old boats. Inside is warm and cozy. Great and wide selection of beers and whiskeys. Staff is friendly too.

Love this place! They’ve got a fantastic selection of beer, and the staff is super nice. Do sit on the barge in the canal outside (it’s there during the summer). It’ll make you feel tipsy even before the first sip of your beer!

Superb ambiance and decoration for a beer bar. Extensive selection of Dutch and foreign beers. Prices ok and friendly staff. Food is not that good, I recommend you to grab drinks and eat at a nearby restaurant.

Live music bar
Nestled in the heart of The Hague's Grote Markt, Café Restaurant De Zwarte Ruiter is a popular European eatery and bar that has been serving patrons since 1988. This lively spot offers a cozy, wood-paneled ambiance with outdoor seating for al fresco dining. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and live music performances, it seamlessly blends the city's good life with rock 'n' roll culture.
Great place with nice music, tasty food and an absolute amazing service. 10 out of 10 would do it again
Robert L — Google review
The place has a nice vibe, but the quality of services is low. One of the bartenders did not seem to understand the idea of 'communication' with the customer. She did not greet us and was not friendly. She left a comment to us stating: 'Don't you see this stick with the number?' when we appeared confused on how we would receive our food on the table. This brought the mood down significantly. The quality of the staff 'kindness' can be improved.

Enjoyable bar/restaurant with a decent menu and drinks collection. Very popular in the happening Grote Markt square. Live performances with good viewing options on multiple days of the week.

We came all the way from cologne for the rock party and we loved it. Great vibes, great music, great crowd. Had a little accident at the end when I jumped into broken glass (my own fault) and the cowboy bartender rushed to help to fix my bleeding foot. Best nurse in town! Thank you so much. I hope you own the place - otherwise he should be on pole for a raise! We’ll be back some day! 🤘
Martin — Google review
Great place especially if the weather is good and you take a sit outside. If I have one thing that I didn't like was the fact that some tables are self serviced, meaning that you have to order and pay yourself, and take your order to the table yourself. That IS NOT the problem. The problem was for me that the doors to go outside are self closing and I took a bath with my coffee trying to get out 🤣🤣🤣. Apart from that the service was excellent and the staff helpful and with a smile.

Good atmosphere and beer selection. Don’t know if I’d call a guy picking songs to play through a speaker “live music” but still fun

Great place in the centre of The Hague with a great industrial feel to it. The food was great, we had the falafel and the plant based burger. The food is really diverse with a lot of vegan options. They have a System where you can order for your own table online so you don't have to wait for the waiters, which is nice.

Westduinpark, located between Scheveningen and Kijkduin in The Hague, is a vast nature reserve known for its diverse landscape of forests, open plains, moist dune valleys, and elevated dune tops. This sea-facing park offers hiking and biking opportunities amid sand dunes and heather. It is popular with runners, dog owners, and families who can encounter Highland cows and other herd animals while exploring the area.
A fantastic place to walk and enjoy the sea. The cows are absolutely cute. Very clean with great walking paths and small hills with panoramic view.

Very nice nature reserve, offering a lot of different trails through the sand dunes or to the beach. Can be crowded in the weekends. Be aware with Google maps. A lot of walking trails on Google go through closed areas, where you are not allowed to walk.

Really nice beach and great that it is available for dogs too. Trash cans every few meters, the only thing is there are no public toilets except for the restaurants but that's not the end of the world. Water available to clean your feet at the exit.

my favorite park of all. quiet, not that crowded, full of light, sand, trees. you can find Scottish Highland cows, horses, there’s a hedgehog shelter and it’s close to the sea. a beautiful place to meditate.

Looks like the end of the world. I was there early in the morning and it looked absolutely stunning. The sounds of seagulls, ocean waves and colder wind really gives the perfect atmosphere. Also be prepared to get some sand in your shoes!

Nice place to go for a walk. There is a good restaurant on the beach if you want to stop for a meal. We saw plenty of dogs off leash running on the beach.

Big park offering nice sceneries and some of the few hills you can find in The Hague, if you are into resistance training (running). The bike lanes are well maintained for being in an over exposed area. Open 24/7 but there is no artificial illumination (because it is a natural reserve), so I wouldn’t recommend visiting it during the night. Free entrance.

Went during the week around 9:30am. It was only myself and one other person there. I stayed for about 3.5 hours, working and ordering drinks. The cracked egg was delicious. The drinks were also really great. Service is good and the interior is different from what you find in other cafes in The Hague. Would highly recommended!

Interesting little place with vhs tapes on the wall and comic book tables. Its has various nooks with couches to chill. The atmosphere is very relaxed and bohemianish if there is such a word. There is a small book case with board games etc. Not what I expected based on the reviews but i suppose im not the target market here. The place was full the entire time we were there.

The food was nice and delicious but the drink felt like a rip-off; Half of the cup was filled with whip cream! And it was not that warm as much as you expect for a hot drink. Disappointed with the drinks 😕

Nice atmosphere and fun cafe to spend a bit of time. They have vibrant decor and cool music and a bunch of nostalgic games and comic books to play with (or buy). There are also plenty of toys for kids to play with while you sit. We came for brunch and had coffees and the pancake stacks. The food was good but a bit rich, it would have been nice to have some simple items on the menu. A small gripe is that the plates are really small for the portions so it made it a bit difficult to eat. Overall a cute place, good experience and nice for a chilled coffee

I came here because of a recommendation and I must say it was a truly nice place to visit!! The place itself is cute and cozy, having both chairs and couches and a lot of games! The service was also great, with people sweeter than their most sweet food. The food was also super good, and the coffee was quite nice! I'd recommend this place to anyone :)

This is our favourite brunch spot in Den Haag. It has an American/70's-90's/LGBT theme. They are one of the few places that makes milkshakes properly American style with iced cream rather than ice and cream. The staff are super friendly and there is a lot of seating, though it does get all-but-overfull often. It is very dog friendly. There are comic books, an arcade game, and a 70's themed room. The "Better Than French Toast" is perhaps their best menu item, and comes in 2 standard and 1 seasonal version. There is a rotating seasonal supplementary menu. They also have the best lemonade variety, including boozy lemonades, I have seen in the Netherlands.

I had an almond croissant and the Uganda blend latte on oat. The staff were so friendly. It’s really quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Coffee was so yummy and smooth I ended up getting another one for take away!

The coffee? Divine. And yes, you even get to pick your own beans, because why settle? But let me give you a tip: “stick to the coffee.” I didn’t order food, but the water? Suspicious. There were little bits floating around, and the glass looked straight-up cloudy. Hygiene? Questionable. So yeah, four stars—because the coffee slays, but the water? Not today, my coffee fellow.

Great location, chill vibe. One of the best decaf coffee I ever had. Highly recommended. Wish the outdoor seating could be a bit more comfortable. Nevertheless, enjoyed my Saturday morning coffee time here!
Kai — Google review
Nice coffee, great pastry. Went there to get coffee beans and some bakery to take away. It was Monday morning and the cafe was pack, nearly full. The only reason I give a 4 stars is that a waiting time is a bit long just to buy a coffee bean and some to-go bakery. Other wise the coffee beans I brought home taste great and really recommend their cheese croissant 🥐! Best prosciutto ham & blue cheese croissant so far.

I FINALLY got to drink coffee here! It's such a lovely space. In the back it's very cozy, laidback music and not too loud. Unfortunately all the pastries we're gone, better luck next time. I love all the windows there and it's in a calmer place in The Hague it's definitely worth the stroll. You can ask for the ramp they can put down

Coffee was just ok but that’s not the most important thing ( I know how hard is to craft this artisanal product and how much work goes behind it ) the Pastries were great ! 5 people were working, probably over staffed by 3 of them. Despite that the energy was low. Our table was dirty and so also many other tables the cup from which we drunk was dirty.. no interaction, no Hi when walked in no Bye when we left.. just 5 people putting in their lowest effort… unfortunately…

Great coffeeshop, i liked that you get a glass of water when you order coffee. We also got to sit outside but then moved inside due to the weather. But we managed to get a place inside cause it could get really crowded, but great service and good atmosphere would go again to buy coffee.

Paid €21 for a ‘rooftop party’ and was told by an employee that it is a “metaphorical rooftop.” Absolute waste of my time, my money, and most importantly, my Saturday night. Nothing disappoints more than realizing the fleeting nature of youth, and temporary nature of a summer weekend. Our days are numbered, and as a student, as are our finances. Tonight, I wasted both on admission to an event that was neither a party nor was it set on a rooftop. 0 stars.
Chris W — Google review
I’ve normally always been very positive about PIP. But my last few experiences were pretty mediocre.. Lots of people are yapping on the dance floor, don’t respect personal space, and interact only with their own group. My friend was pushed by someone so she could take more space. Another person wanted me to move aside in the crowd so she could take pictures of her friend, even though phone cameras were stickered! This may not be completely on the management, but a pleasant rave atmosphere was hard to find during the events I was there. Security was also quite unpleasant, they patrolled the crowd a lot and there was one guy standing next to the DJ like a personal bodyguard. Otherwise the venue and service are great.

I’ve been coming to PIP for over eight years and have always loved it. In the last few years, though, the atmosphere sometimes feels less friendly: there’s some pushing on the dance floor, people can come across as angry or arrogant, there are lots of tight-knit groups, and there are many phones and cameras on the floor. It takes away from the vibe a bit. I understand not everything is in your hands. It might help to briefly ask people at the entrance about PIP’s core values and remind them what you stand for. You could also be a bit stricter at the door or address people about their behavior. A clearer phone policy on the dance floor could help, too. I’m sharing this because I really value PIP and hope that warm, open atmosphere can shine again.

Haagsche Broeder Brouwerij is a unique bar that also functions as a brewery and monastery, with a serene and peaceful atmosphere reflecting its monastic roots. The brewery was established in 2006 when one of the brothers of St. John started brewing as a hobby, which later turned into a small business. Their signature beer, Prior, is known for its dark, strong flavor with a slightly sweet taste.

I came here mid-afternoon on a Saturday. It wasn't busy. I was welcomed and because I was cold, the heater was turned on for me :) I had a flight, which I highly recommend, and every beer was unique. I ordered Kimchi Croquettes (I didn't actually see a menu), which was explained to me. It did take 50 minutes to get those... Which was 35 minutes more than what was explained to me, but that's okay. The service was very attentive, despite the long wait. Btw, the Kimchi Croquettes were kind of like Bitterballens. I would recommend this place and I do plan on coming here again and again :) Update: I've come back a few times and I love it! They are friendly, knowledgeable, and the beers are just wonderful!

"Escher in the Palace" is a permanent exhibition located in the former royal winter palace on Lange Voorhout in The Hague. This grand building now showcases the graphic artworks of M.C. Escher, a renowned Dutch artist known for his precise and bewildering works. The exhibition features a comprehensive collection of Escher's woodcuts, lithographs, and other pieces from various stages of his career, offering insight into his unique blending of different perspectives and mathematical rules with artistic subject matter.
Incredible! The palace in of itself is brilliant, but the history, life and works of M. C. Escher is just awe inspiring. I loved every moment of my few hours (yes that's all you need here). I really took my time walking around, reading pretty much everything. There's a summary as you enter each room/ gallery. I was really impressed by floor 3. Modern pieces that interpret the mind bending greatness of Eschers works, so do go up to the top floor. My biggest takeaway was how massively inspired/influenced/ motivated Escher was by the Islamic art and architecture of South Spain/ Andalucia. In the narrative there was more emphasis on his time in Italy and the wonderful landscapes there, but in my opinion Andalucia changed something in him towards the magnificent work we all really know him for, tessalations, metamorphosis, patterns, perspective etc. A memorable visit!
Khalid A — Google review
Loved this musuem. It was sorry of a two for the price of one as it was housed in a formal royal palace of Emma, the Queen Mother, mother to Queen Wilhelmina. Most of Escher's famous works were on display. Left the museum appreciating the genius that Escher was. Also has a cafe but didn't access it.
Heather M — Google review
An absolutely fascinating museum! The presentation of Escher’s work is outstanding — each piece is worth your time and your thoughts. Highlights include Metamorphosis III, an extraordinary 7-meter-long masterpiece that flows seamlessly from one image to another, and the mesmerizing Circle Limit series, where Escher’s genius for blending art and mathematics truly shines. The illusions room is a delight, letting you step into the kind of visual paradoxes that made Escher world-famous. A perfect blend of art, geometry, and imagination — not to be missed when in The Hague.
César F — Google review
Amazing artworks told and explained very well. I especially enjoyed the method which documented Escher's life and work - very elegant. The decision to display his works in the palace was well made, the architecture is splendid and wonderous.
Tom T — Google review
If you're into architectural signs, you'll be amazed—it's like stepping into this museum! Truly stunning and beyond your wildest dreams. I spent two hours there, but honestly, it wasn’t enough to take in all the amazing creativity. It’s absolutely fantastic!
莒光號莒光號 — Google review
This place bends your brain in the best way possible. It’s M.C. Escher, so yes, the famous “stairs that go nowhere” are here, along with loads of other works (including some I’d never seen before). Honestly, I half expected to walk out of the museum upside down. The ticket price is refreshingly reasonable (rare in The Hague, where even a coffee can feel like modern art). I’d definitely go again. Tip: go in the morning, there’s so much to see that if you arrive late, your head will be spinning from illusions and from fatigue. Bring curiosity, maybe a coffee, and prepare to wonder if the gift shop exit is actually the entrance.
Teunis S — Google review
Beautiful museum! Extensive collection and enjoyed the interactive parts at the end on the top floor. They have free lockers for your bags, a cafe downstairs, and clean bathrooms.
Barbara D — Google review
All round good exhibit in an historic house. Who doesn't love Escher? If you don't, this isn't for you. If you do you'll find lots of prints and background. Many of the prints are marked "eigen druk" which means "my own print." Would have been nice if they'd cracked a few windows... Lockers are in basement and use fake coins they hand out. Bathroom was decent.

Panorama Mesdag is an art museum showcasing the impressive panoramic beach painting by 19th-century artist Hendrik Mesdag. The circular painting offers a naturalistic depiction of the beach at Scheveningen as it appeared in 1881, skillfully capturing lighting and perspective. Visitors can appreciate the work from a central viewing platform. Additionally, nearby at the Mesdag Collection, more of Mesdag's land- and seascapes are on display, providing further insight into his artistic prowess.
It's a surreal experience to see a life-like panoramic painting from the view point (hut) supposedly on a sanddune in a beach overlooking beach and sea on one side and old Den Haag city on the other side. From the viewpoint, the cealing of the painting is not visible at the top and the bottom of the painting smoothly transitions and merges into the beach sanddune setting around the viewing spot... So we don't see where the painting actually stops and the actual sand begins... unless we squint. And the natural lighting makes it all the more realistic, and the painting is at optimal distance that we barely feel any parallax, at the same time we don't see any brush strokes, making it very much real.
Gautham V — Google review
The 360 painting mixed with real objects give you such a surreal experience. Spend your time to take a look at the painting. The details on the painting is amazing. We are looking it wasn't busy so we get to really see the whole thing. Personally I do think its worth the 16 just to see this painting. Don't forget there are also other exhibition on ground floor. The place is not big though.

Panorama Mesdag is the largest painting in the Netherlands. The museum's collection includes the works of Mr. and Mrs. Mesdag, both painters. One hall is allocated to temporary exhibitions. This was understated brilliance! There are 3 rooms of paintings by Mesdag and his wife, very good introduction to the artist. Then you head through the dark passage and up the spiral staircase and you gasp at the amazing panorama. It takes you back in time as if you are there. Extraordinary! 🤯

It was a great experience to see the panorama painting. It felt like I was looking at the real city with so many details. You can even look with binoculars. Rest of the collection was also great.

Modern art museum
Kunstmuseum The Hague is a stunning example of 20th-century museum architecture, designed by H. P. Berlage and completed in 1935. It houses an extensive collection of over 150,000 artworks, with a focus on modern art. The museum is renowned for having the world's largest collection of works by Piet Mondrian, as well as pieces by other influential artists like Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh.
A big public museum in the World Forum neighborhood. It has a beautiful permanent collection by Dutch and international artists. Plus, I had the opportunity to visit two temporary exhibitions. Both exhibitions were very well designed. The museum staff was very kind and helpful. I enjoyed the visit very much. Congratulations to the museum.
Banu D — Google review
It definitely is a one-of-a-kind museum. We enjoyed the visit through and through. The desserts exhibition is sweet and lovely. The modern art floor is novel and mischievous at times. The building itself is distinctively “Mondrian”. The underground floor is particularly good which module I have never experienced earlier in other museums. It is so well designed that it managed to hold the attention of both adults and children from beginning to the end, thus serves the purpose of educating the mass audience some rudimentary knowledge of modern art. I think four hours is needed.
Yulan Z — Google review
What a sight. Worthwhile seeing on its own. Interesting special and regular exhibitions. van Gogh, Monet, Mondrian, Kirchner, Kandinsky, Picasso, Schiele and many more to be seen. But only refering to those exceptional artists does not do justice to so many others.
Igor A — Google review
Absolutely delightful! An absolutely stunning regular collection of paintings: Picasso, Kandinsky, Van Gogh, and Mondrian among others! We discovered Jacoba van Heemskerck! And what a beauty the "Grand Dessert" exhibition is! Incredibly beautiful porcelain! And then we came across the "Titanic" exhibition! Gorgeous dresses from the era of the film of the same name! What fine work, it turns out, was done by Hollywood! And, what's more, the exhibition includes costumes from the era of the actual events of the film!

Amazing place! I habe not noticed how the 4 hours passed by. Mondrian collection is stunning! I have seen works I've never suspected to come from Mondrian. Temporary exhibitions are amazing. The museum was not very crowded. I bought tickets in the museum, there was no queue. I have not made it to see everything in 4 hours and I will definitely come back 🥰

An absolutely not to be missed museum. Architecturally a very significant building. The traveling exhibit we saw on the history of Paris was exceptional. The museum has a great permanent collection.

The museum is one of Europe’s leading museums for modern art and design. Founded in 1866 and renamed in 2019, it is housed in a striking building designed by H.P. Berlage and completed in 1935. Its collection of more than 165,000 works spans painting, decorative arts, fashion, music, prints, ceramics, and silver. The museum is especially famous for holding the world’s largest collection of Piet Mondrian’s works.

The Prison Gate Museum in The Hague offers tours that delve into the history of crime and punishment, featuring jailer's quarters, an interrogation room, and judges' chambers. Situated at the division between the Buitenhof and Binnenhof, this museum provides insight into medieval times and showcases the imposing architecture of the former main gateway to the castle for the Counts of Holland.
One of the most interactive museum I’ve ever been in the Netherlands! The museum’s audio guide narrations were really nice and engaging, feels like you’re being brought back in time 👀 They make it into 2 parts, so make sure in the end and to ask the staffs if you have visited all parts of the museum.
Sufya — Google review
I would advice mainly two things: - book in advance because there are time slots, so if you just show up you might not be allowed to enter. - the visit is split in two parts, first part is the history, second part starts where the first part starts. I almost missed this one, because it wasn’t obvious. Just go back to the front desk and they will tell you where to go. First part is more interactive, second part goes deeper into what the prison used to be. Also if you do the second part you’ll end up outside in the yard where there’s a 1812 guillotine (the original one), and also the torture chamber mentioned in the first part.
Lucas K — Google review
I highly recommend you going there if you come to The Hague. It’s very interesting in how far back they go. I’ll be attaching some pictures. I want to say they were truly barbaric, but again you have to think of the time. some of the pictures are the tools they used in the dungeon and on one picture you’ll see a little box in the corner and that was their toilet. It is a very fascinating museum.
Lina N — Google review
Such a fun experience! Very educational and interesting—the museum preserves a piece of history that makes its visitors reflect on how far our justice and penal systems have come. The open and light museum really contrasts to how dark and intimidating it must’ve been in the 1500s. Just a really cool spot!
Ursula O — Google review
"The Prison Gate was originally an entrance gate to the castle of the Counts of Holland, built in medieval times. For many years after, it served as a prison to the Court of Holland. Nowadays the museum tells the story of crime and punishment across the centuries." The museum is very well preserved. When I visited the prisoner cells, I had the feeling that I travelled back in time. The museum provides valuable information about the judicial processes in history. I did not know that there are special cells for wealthy people, like a hotel room😃 There are even interactive settings, for example, by pushing a button, you can act as a judge and try to decide on a verdict! I really enjoyed my visit.

The museum's meticulously curated exhibits vividly depicted the different facets of prison life, from interrogation to torture and punishment. Such a brilliant place, so much history and the information on the exhibitions was amazing. They give you a booklet when you first go in and it’s a self-guided tour, then you can come back for part 2 where you follow a different route with an audio tour to guide you. I was so impressed, in particular with how close you could get to everything. You really feel like you’re immersed in the history and you can follow a story with the audio tape which helps you feel more engaged. I’d highly recommend, you’ll need around 1hr-1.5hrs for the visit.

Italian restaurant
Ristorante Giuliano’s is a top Italian restaurant in The Hague, known for its intimate atmosphere and traditional Italian menu. The place exudes a rustic Tuscan vibe with authentic dishes that showcase the rich flavors of Italy. Their freshly made pasta is exceptional, cooked to perfection and served with rich, well-balanced sauces. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality and authenticity of the food make it well worth it for a special night out or a treat-yourself meal.
Wow! Everything you are looking for in a small Italian restaurant! Ambience, charm, and really amazing food! The staff were friendly and welcoming. Great off label wines from specific regions of Italy- I had a glass as I was alone and the "by the glass" options were great. I got pasta with a slow cooked braised beef. Really nicely done. The salad was also exceptional and the balsamic and olive oil set it off perfectly. Had to get a desert and an espresso to round out the experience. Go for it, you only live once 😁

Ristorante Giuliano’s Pasta & Pasta is hands down the best Italian restaurant I’ve tried in The Hague. The food is truly traditional and authentic Italian, from the delicious appetizers like mussels and ciabatta bread to the amazing pastas and desserts. The staff is friendly and attentive and there’s a great selection of wines, though they don’t have sweet white wine. Also, worth noting that they don’t serve chicken, staying true to their authentic Italian approach. The ambiance is cozy and warm, but the space is a bit cramped, so I highly recommend making a reservation as it gets very busy. If you’re craving authentic Italian cuisine in The Hague, this place is a must visit!

The pasta were really excellent !! The quantity, the taste and how the pasta were cooked, was perfect. I was a bit disappointed in the chocolate pie for the desert, it was a bit dry, but tiramisu was good. The staff is friendly, it’s a cute place.

They know how to make good pasta. The daily special of veal was nothing special. Go for the pasta out of the oven in .y opinion.

And yet another excellent pasta place in The Hague 🙏 This Giuliano's establishment is just for pasta only, and I definitely hope to come back to try more (or all) of their pasta dishes. The atmosphere is cosy and unique, and the food is fresh, traditional, and well-cooked! I ordered the pesto tagliatelle, and the pasta was perfectly al dente and the pesto clearly homemade. The tiramisu was a little too sweet, and the mascarpone layer had a bit of a foamy/frothy texture, which wasn't my favorite though still nice overall. Prices are quite affordable, and because it's a small restaurant, I advise making a reservation in advance.
Leah K — Google review
The food was excellent and of great quality everything tasted fresh, well-prepared, and simply delicious. You can really tell they use fresh ingredients, and every dish was full of flavor. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and very spacious, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. Definitely a place I can highly recommend!

Ristorante Giuliano’s in The Hague is a fantastic spot for authentic Italian cuisine. The food is full of flavor and beautifully prepared, and as a nice touch, you’re welcomed with delicious olives to start. Prices are very fair considering the location, making it a great choice for a relaxed and tasty meal in the city.

Wonderful little Italian, a real standout for the area being off a much quieter side street but still getting decent footfall. The food was both incredibly tasty and good in portion size. The wine by the glass was very much my type (southern Italian red) so very juicy and sweet without being sickly. Service was reasonably fast considering how busy and crowded it was inside and our waitress was friendly and accommodating. TDLR- Well worth a visit if your looking for good authentic Italian food.

Located in The Hague, Family park Drievliet is a popular destination for families seeking a day of thrilling rides and delightful attractions. From heart-pounding roller coasters to gentle rides suitable for young children, the park offers a wide range of entertainment options. In addition to the exciting rides, visitors can also enjoy entertaining shows such as the Jungle Show and pirate spectacle at the Parktheater.
A very nice family friendly park with attraction for all ages. As soon as your kid is 100 cm it can try almost all attractions together with a grown-up. Just a very few are from 140 cm on. Great park to visit with children in different ages.

Overall, we had an enjoyable day. I visited with my 3-year-old son (under 1 meter tall), and there were enough attractions suitable for his age group. The park is well thought out for small children. A few practical notes: The lockers weren’t working, and the park is quite large. If you’re coming with extra belongings, I recommend bringing something to help you carry them easily, a stroller can be very helpful, even if you think your child won’t need it much. The women’s toilets near the restaurant area were insufficient; it’s better to use the ones in other parts of the park. I suggest arriving early in the morning and starting from the far end of the park, going against the general flow. That way, you’ll avoid long queues at the first attractions.
Ugur — Google review
Drievliet is a fun and well-organized amusement park, especially ideal for families with children. While I personally enjoyed the visit, most of the rides and attractions are clearly designed with younger kids in mind. It’s a great place for a relaxed day out, but adults seeking thrill rides might find the options limited. That said, there are still a few exciting rides for older visitors, like the fast roller coaster Formule X, the wild mouse-style ride Kopermijn, the spinning coaster Twistrix, and the powered coaster Dynamite Express. Additionally, adults can enjoy rides like Nautilus, a swinging and spinning attraction, and Draaikolk, a fast-turning ride. As a whole, it’s a highly recommended destination for families with kids.
Raghavendra M — Google review
Great place to spend a day with the little ones. I really apreciated that most of the atractions were spitale for my 3.5 yo. And the ones for the older children were truely enjoyable. Also I loved the fact that the park is quite compact and don't spend a lot of time walking between the atractions, and thus we managed to enjoy almost all the atractions during one day, some even more times. Another plus was that there were no big ques (we spent maximum 10-15 minutes for the most atractive, although we went in full vacation sezon). All in all, a perfect alternative to biserica and more famous atraction parks in The Netherlands and around.
Alexandra T — Google review
We went as a group of 8 people, including 2 toddlers, and we loved it. The size of the park is just the right size, not too big, not too small. Perfect for families with children (as the name suggests, familypark). There are enough rides for children (in our case, toddlers) to enjoy. We especially appreciated the water play park. The only minus thing is the food, there were not enough choices, and very expensive. So, I would suggest bringing your own food and snacks!
Chantal M — Google review
Overall we had an okay day, but that was only because I am someone who's glass is always half full! Because what happend? . Me and my daughter got stuck in the owl 🦉 ride, our car suddenly started smoking really bad and the machinist truly was not able to handle correct in that moment. I was able to put my daughter (4y) out of the car and let her wait with my oldest.. as soon as I knew they were save, I focused on the women next to me. Who was in a panic attack. With some breath work and guidance, I was able to calm her down. 2) after this, I made the decision to calm down with some food! 3 sodas and 3 sandwishes were €30. Crazy! And it wasn't even good, had to throw away the sandwich with cheese. 3) other malfunctioning attractions were also part of our experience. Which did not make us feel safe. Conclusion, we had fun. But I would not go back, as it is clearly not a safe park to go to. Be careful.

Suppose this last weekends was Halloween 🎃 celebration but they have nothing. Barely banners of Halloween and a 2 things related to Halloween. We came specially to celebrate. But not worth it. The atracciones look old or need manteinace and some paint , for the price I find there are better pret parks. And for Halloween this is not the place.
Lina S — Google review
We went there on Sunday 13/7 10:45 and it was amazing! Not busy at all, jumping in every game almost instantly! There are plenty of games for all tastes, fast and slow, high and low. There are also enough tables to sit and enjoy a lunch from home or from the snack bar over there. In general it’s highly recommended especially if the kids are taller than 130cm.

Palmette is a vibrant bistro located in the heart of Den Haag, offering a mix of local and global cuisine in a colorful setting adorned with beautiful murals. The restaurant serves up delectable French international dishes, such as gnocchi with porcini mushrooms and chestnuts for starters, followed by Lebanese-style aubergine with spicy lentils and taboule for the main course. The ambiance is enhanced by elegant furniture that creates a cozy bistro-like atmosphere.
We visited this place for breakfast and had a wonderful experience. There’s plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, and we were lucky to get a cozy corner table by the window. The space had a charming marble table surrounded by soft, colorful cushions, creating a warm and inviting nook — perfect for a relaxed morning. We ordered a cappuccino, a yogurt bowl, avocado Benedict, and eggs Benedict. The cappuccino was smooth and well-balanced with a beautiful creamy foam. The yogurt bowl was fresh and rich, topped with seasonal fruits and crunchy granola. Both Benedict dishes were delicious; the eggs were perfectly poached, and the hollandaise sauce was rich, silky, and that nice hint of lemon that added a fresh brightness to each bite. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home right away. Overall, the atmosphere was peaceful and calming — an ideal spot to enjoy a slow breakfast and start your day on a positive note.

Handy spot for a quick breakfast before catching the train to Den Haag Central. The food was tasty. We had the avocado eggs Benedict, but it was a bit cold. For the price, it would’ve been nice to have a small salad or some fruit on the side. We left still a bit hungry and grabbed a pastry at the station. Not bad, just missing that little extra.

An institution in The Hague. Truly exceptional. The entire hotel is just gorgeous – old, but so well maintained and preserved. Staff is excellent. I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Des Indes, but the highlight was definitely the high tea. Served in a stunning, historic setting, the experience was elegant and indulgent from start to finish. The selection of teas, savory bites, and sweet treats was beautifully curated and absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. A perfect way to spend an afternoon in The Hague. Highly recommended!

The hotel is in a quiet location on a picturesque square, but a five or ten minute walk will take you into the lively centre of The Hague. At first glance it has an old fashioned appearance, and this carries on inside, but the service is modern and professional. The rooms are comfortable and air-conditioned, so no problem if you want to visit in high summer. The hot and cold buffet breakfast is excellent, and for an Englishmen there is a fine range of leaf teas. We spent four nights there and we would definitely return.

Hotel Des Indes is an absolutely beautiful and historic hotel, the kind of place where you could easily imagine taking up permanent residence. The building itself radiates elegance and old-world charm, and the interior feels like stepping into an Agatha Christie novel. --- From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the doorman with a big smile, setting the tone for what we hoped would be an exceptional stay. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, spotless, and offered a lovely view. The hotel’s location is also ideal, right next to an impressive square on the edge of The Hague’s historic city center; perfect for exploring all the main sights on foot. --- Where Hotel Des Indes truly shines is in its atmosphere and heritage, it’s one of those rare places that feels both grand and intimate at the same time. Unfortunately, the service in the lounge and dining areas did not live up to the same high standard. --- Our first experience in the lounge started with a 20-minute wait before anyone took our coffee order. We had to signal a member of the staff, despite there being only a few guests and several waiters on duty. Once we ordered, our cappuccinos took another 20 minutes to arrive. We wrote this off as bad luck and didn’t let it affect our overall impression, until dinner. --- Dinner service mirrored the same pattern: long waits and lack of attention. After being seated, it took about 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order, and once we ordered drinks and simple dishes, we waited another 20 minutes for our (cold) drinks, an hour for appetizers, and 45 minutes more for the main courses. At no point did anyone check in or offer another round of drinks. While the restaurant was busy, the service remained consistently slow and inattentive throughout the evening. A real shame, because the food itself was excellent, well presented and absolutely worthy of the hotel’s reputation. --- Breakfast the next morning, served buffet-style, was unfortunately similar. Coffee orders (there are no coffee machines at the buffet) took more than 25 minutes to arrive, and tables were often left uncleared even as new guests arrived, leaving many people unsure where to sit. Although there appeared to be enough staff, they seemed somewhat disorganized, perhaps due to a poor service management system. --- Despite these issues, we still consider Hotel Des Indes a special place to stay. The building, location, and ambiance are unmatched, and most of the staff we interacted with were warm, friendly, and professional. However, the service in the lounge and restaurant simply doesn’t meet the standards one would expect from a five-star establishment. --- We truly hope the hotel addresses these recurring service issues, because with improvements in that area, Hotel Des Indes would be flawless.

Beautiful hotel, perfect location, and a few restaurant hiccups! It's more 4 1/2 stars if I could give another half I would. Loved this hotel in Den Haag! It's in a fantastic location -- right next to a gorgeous park and literally steps away from the Escher Museum. It's also just a short walk to the Mauritshuis (hello, Girl with a Pearl Earring ) and surrounded by lots of things to do, see, and eat. The hotel itself is beautiful -- elegant lobby, rich-looking dining hall, and we stayed in a junior suite that was spacious, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches like tons of drawers and cabinet space. Service across the board was excellent -- from the concierge to the doorman to housekeeping, everyone was friendly and professional. Now, about the restaurant... that's where things got a little bumpy. There was one incident early on that I reported to the front desk, and to their credit, they were super apologetic -- even saying, "this isn't the first time this happened and we'll talk to the manager." (Okay... not sure if that was meant to make me feel better, but I appreciated the honesty?) Anyway, after that, they went above and beyond -- our breakfast table was magically reserved for us every morning, and the person who had slipped up before turned into the nicest person ever. I booked four nights through my Amex Platinum and got all the perks that come with it -- totally worth it. The stay overall was wonderful, but again, the restaurant really needs some tightening up. One dinner night, we waited over an hour for our food which's slow even by European standards, and they forgot our fries. When they realized it, they offered to bring us two orders to make up for it -- sweet gesture, but we declined because... well, we love fries, just not that much . They brought out mayo, ketchup, and truffle mayo (yum!) -- but then it got a bit awkward because I overheard an American gentleman behind me earlier asking for ketchup, and the waitress told him they didn't have any. My husband whispered, "He's looking at your ketchup." I wanted to offer him some, but by the time my fries arrived, his were long gone. Oops. Food-wise, everything else was really good -- especially the sea bass, perfectly cooked with crispy skin just the way it should be. All in all, despite a few restaurant quirks, I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in The Hague. The service, comfort, and location more than make up for it -- just maybe skip dinner downstairs and explore the city's food scene instead!

A Taste of Home in Rotterdam – Perfect Manouche & Beautiful Nostalgia! Visiting Baladi Manouche was an unforgettable experience that took me straight back to Lebanon! The taste of their manouche is absolutely authentic just like the ones I grew up eating in Beirut. The dough was perfectly baked, the za'atar was fragrant and flavorful, and every bite reminded me of home and specially to school days! What made the experience even more special was the nostalgic atmosphere. The graphics and decor transported me back to my childhood, especially seeing designs that reminded me of my old school in Beirut—one of the city's historic landmarks. It felt like a warm, comforting embrace from my past. The team was incredibly kind, welcoming, and gentle, making the visit even more enjoyable. Their hospitality truly reflects the spirit of Lebanese warmth. 🇱🇧 If you're craving real Lebanese manouche in Rotterdam, this is the place to be. Thank you, Baladi Manouche, for bringing a piece of Lebanon to the Netherlands. I’ll definitely be back! Highly recommended!😍 PS : BUY KAWARAM JAR !! 🤤

“We’ve visited this place many times, and as Lebanese, we highly recommend it—it truly represents authentic manouche, not an imitation! The pictures say it all!”

So glad I tried before the influencers find out about this amazing place! The food is of great quality and taste. These real ingredients fill you up and nurute more that you'd expect. This was my first time after passing by too many times. The servers were very understanding and accomodating to our curiousity. My meal was accompanied by one of their housemade drinks, definitely coming back again and trying more!

If you're looking for a refreshing escape from the typical hostel vibe, consider checking out Room in the Netherlands. This delightful Airbnb offers all the essentials that travelers need to feel at home while on their adventures, and it’s surprisingly affordable compared to some popular hostels in The Hague. When the sun shines, Room's terrace becomes a vibrant gathering spot for sun-seekers.
I’m posting this review months later because I’m no longer in Den Haag and have thought about this restaurant every week since last December lol. The freshness of ingredients, the quality of the bread, the flavor on that Indonesian chicken. I miss it!

We just wanted a simple salad and sandwich for light lunch after walking around the city, doing what tourists do. Its a nice place to take a quick lunch break. Friendly service and good food. Warm ham sandwiches and tuna salad.
Jo L — Google review
Tasty food, good presentation, cosy interior! 👍🏼 However, not sure if the staff were having a difficult day when we went, but it took them 20 minutes to give us the lunch menu card. This was after I had asked for it twice already. Another 25 for our food to arrive. It was busy but not mad busy. Our drinks and food kept going to the wrong table and we had to tell them that it was ours. Luckily the food tasted fresh and delicious but that doesn’t account for the fact that it came after 45 minutes of us arriving. Also, having a thick leather curtain in your face as soon as you step inside maybe isn’t the best entrance idea :)
Sofia S — Google review
We had the falafel salad and the entry falafel with hummus. It was extremely untasty. Falafels did not taste like falafels at all, they were very greasy hummus was very salty and industrial. Also, the salad was messy in the plate. We don’t recommend this place for food. When asked if we were satisfied, we told them our complaint. After some back and forth, they offered to take the salad off the bill –which we appreciated– but also made clear that they are happy with their quality and will not seek improvement. So not quite an incentive to go there again.

Very pretty terrace. We sat for a drink and ended up having dinner. Hands down one of the best vegetarian burgers (oyster mushroom patty) of my life. The sweet potato fries were 10/10 as well.

Good food, fresh, with balanced taste. Right amount of ingredients. We ate vegeburger, Japanese bowl, toasts, fries and some snacks just before end of the lunch hour. Service is quite strange - I understand they were busy, but it was hard to connect, ask for a bill etc. Still I recommend for light lunch or beer in the nice environment.

Bicycle Shop
Lola Bikes & Coffee, located in The Hague's city center, stands out for its unique blend of New Age style and cycling culture. The cafe features a distinctive Dutch ambiance with faded Persian rugs on the floor and bicycles adorning the walls. Passionate about coffee, Lola serves some of the finest brews and blends in town, proudly offering single-origin coffee from Colombia. Visitors can also join their cycling club or simply indulge in delicious toasted sandwiches like the popular goats cheese toastie.
If you like bikes and bike things then this place is wonderful. There are cool wall mounted bikes, signed posters, bike related accessories. The staff was welcoming, and recommended us fresh cake. The coffee was delicious too.

Organic restaurant
Ethica restaurant in The Hague is a trendy and environmentally conscious cafe-restaurant that reflects the evolving food scene of the city. Named after philosopher Spinoza's Ethics, Ethica follows an 80/20 rule in their cooking, with 80% plant-based food and 20% meat from ethical sources. They prioritize local ingredients and even produce their own drinks like beer and soft drinks.
It was a wonderful experience. I love the whole concept they have and how they grow their own herbs and some veggies. The service was attentive and they explained us every meal. Thank you, we will come back!
Sandra R — Google review
It was a really disappointing experience! My boyfriend booked it for me because we liked the “farm to table” concept and thought we could enjoy a nice five-course menu. But it turned out to be a big letdown because there was a jazz event. The restaurant prioritized the event, assigning all the head waiters to it, and they never mentioned this when we made the reservation. We could only get a three-course menu. When we ordered drinks, they served mediocre wine and beer in plastic cups for €6 each. The three courses were a joke: first, pulled pork with pickles; then a very thin, very salty lamb chop with some potatoes and carrots; and the dessert was just two dollops of whipped cream with a tiny bit of fruit. And they charged us €91 for all of this! It was a terrible experience. I don’t know if they value events so much that they ignore regular customers, or if the place is just overrated and bad.
August — Google review
We had a dinner for 2 at Ethica, we opted for a 4 course dinner but we had to get the deer bitterballen too as it caught our eyes. Our dinner started with 2 amuse, the fermented black bean and mushroom tartelette was a hit. From the dinner menu, our favorites were the sweet sour tomatoes, pigeon tataki, wild boar steak with blackcurrant gravy and the zucchini cake. The pigeon was very flavorful, and the gravy suited the steak so well! The zucchini cake dessert was also spot on with the airiness and its level of sugar: not too sweet and not too bland either. We wanted to finish off with their homemade liquors as our waitress and the co owner of Ethica Joske mentioned she makes them herself. We tried the herbal and pine liquors, the latter being our favorite as it was smooth and aromatic. A great way to end an enjoyable meal. Overall, the atmosphere is cozy yet classy, it fits their goal of being a sustainable and conscious restaurant. Their menu is well curated with such ethical concerns in mind (hence their name, Ethica from Spinoza's book) The service was also fast, and we were especially happy to have Joske host us. It would be better if they had a larger wine menu to go along with such diverse flavors they have in their dishes. But we will be back to try more of their liquors! If you don't have time for a full dinner, we would recommend their snacks menu too, especially the deer bitterballen.
Aysun U — Google review
Great service, fantastic food. Really appreciated the idea of the restaurant of local/ethically sourced food. Would definitely recommend going for the full 5 courses as it was a great variety and, as they were a bit small, the 5 courses really seem what the menu is designed for. Highlights were definitely the amuse bouche mushroom soup (not pictured), the pumpkin and celeriac spiral, the duck with potato cannoli, and the speculaas dessert. All in all, a fantastic evening and experience.
Caroline K — Google review
A big thank you to the hosts! I've had a wonderful evening. The starters, the menu, the restaurant's own black ale, the hosts! This place is definitely on my list when I'll return to Hague. I recommend it to any gourmand/food lover. It's simply a pleasure being there! My apologies for the photos, they don't do the place justice.
Cristina B — Google review
We decided to go here for our one year, and chose to experience their four course dining + wine tasting. Firstly, the atmosphere is very nice, we sat outside by the canal. The lighting was also nicely lit and the service was super welcoming and accomodating. The wine pairing matched very well with each courses, it didn't feel like you were drinking a bottle of wine. I Believe around 80-90% is also locally sourced from the Netherlands, and is all freshly made. We started with a venison tartar - it was delicious and not too gamey, there was a nice balance of crunch to balance the softness of the tartar. Our second course one got a crayfish tartar bisque, which was creamy and delicious. Very easy to eat and perfect after the deer! And the other, garden peas with mint. A nice pea pure base, topped their garden veggies. It was a very nice, light and refreshing dish after the venison. For our main course, we both had the half pigeon. We were greeted by the chef, who explained the multiple day process of preparing this dish. This made the experience very personal. This dish you have three variations of beets, it was nice but definitely an overpowering taste. The gravy was phenomenal, I do wish there was a bit more gravy to balance more of the beat flavour. For desert one had the chocolate cake with ginger. You wouldn't think ginger and chocolate go well. But this was delicious, a spoon full of chocolate, ice cream, peach and ginger and it's a flavor bomb, the ginger does not overpower the chocolate, but instead adds a bit of a spicy, tangy flavor. Definitely a don't knock it till you try it moment. Second had the Goat cheese board, which I have to say was one of my favorite parts. The strengths of the cheese crescendo from weaker to much more robust, and the chef does an amazing job of it. One equally different and stronger than the last. If you like cheese/perfer a more savory finish, I would choose this. Such a nice end to an amazing meal!

Few days ago we visited this place. It was really good experience. Service was very friendly and helpful. Food was great. Pulled roe with artichoke salad was surprisingly good and main course, what was roe with sauce with chilli and coffee, was amazing! Food presentation was also nice. It was fair amount of food for that price and quite big portions for 4-course menu (I'm not complaining 🙃). Only interior looks more like lunch-sandwich place than good dinner place, but food and service is great, so it's worth to check this place!

It is a foodcourt setting. We tried the martabak house menu and weren't disappointed. The ambiance of the whole place is layback and cozy. The variety of the food were big enough from east to west. Which is good if you come with a group/big family with different tastes.

Its across the road from Central station. It has a variety of food options- kenyan , surinamese, thai, burgers and drinks. There is ample seating areas and toilets are decent. I ate at Aroi soi 9. Couldn’t finish the meal. Too heavy and tasteless. Maybe I added too much chili. That wasn’t the worst. The staff was rude and impatient. They were even making fun of the situation because I didn’t know how it worked. They were in a break so I decided to wait but a total Waste of money and time.

Very interesting concept of a food hub where you can try different dishes of different cuisines and a very nice pub with local beers! The Indonesian store had a very tasty Rames meal including beef, chicken, vegetables and rice! The classic burger was also quite tasty with really decent price!

Was here for a meetup. I ordered a Jasmin tea, no food. While we were waiting for the rest of the group, the staff kept coming to us every five minutes to ask whether we'd already made a decision. We said: we'll wait for the rest of the group. There was also a QR code so we could order ourselves, so them coming back so frequently made me feel very rushed. The general atmosphere of the place looked good! Lots of street-food-style stands and not loud. The location is very central and you get to see outside through the big windows on all sides. Might come here again, if opportunity arises.

Located in a beautiful historic corner building in The Hague, Restaurant ñ is a Michelin-starred gem that offers delightful dishes inspired by Spanish and Portuguese cuisine. With ever-changing menus, diners are treated to surprises of superb quality and stunning presentation. Just a short distance from the city center's main attractions, this Spanish-themed restaurant exudes a romantic ambiance with its terrace adorned with fairy lights and greenery.
‼️❤️🔥 – Had an amazing meal at Ñ, the restaurant by Daniël! Great taste and so much attention to the quality of the ingredients. Every new dish was a delightful surprise. So warm and cozy inside, yet summery and stunning outside. Lovely little tables, perfectly set with white tablecloths – just perfect. We were served by Chris 🥰, who not only looked fabulous but also knew exactly what we needed before we even asked! Glasses, plates, linens and napkins were all spotless – no chips, no cracks. Dining outside with a heater was perfect, and not a single bug in sight. You want to eat here – trust me. Just wait until you see (and taste) the wine list! Featured in MICHELIN… maybe one day a star? Keep up the good work! 👍🏾💞

The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere and our meal was very good and varied. The dishes are small, but so you can try more. The bone marrow butter was outstanding. Unfortunately, two of the main courses were a bit cold. The tables are far too small and too close together. As a result, you can hardly move between the tables without touching them. Due to the cramped conditions, the volume is unfortunately also very high and even conversations between two people are difficult. The service was very attentive the whole time. The restrooms were unfortunately not clean and definitely deserved more attention. The evening left us with mixed feelings. The food is great, but the rest definitely has room for improvement.
Marco S — Google review
We tried 5 dishes, the lamb, the monkfish, the sea bass, the asparagus and the bay leaf ice cream dessert. The flavours were quiet innovative, left us surprised and satisfied! Really fresh ingredients and the portions were just about right for trying many different dishes. Very friendly and attentive staff, place was also cozy and cute, a bit alternative.
Georgia S — Google review
A mediocre restaurant — I have no idea how it made it into the Michelin guide. The service was simply appalling. A waiter would walk past a table full of dirty dishes multiple times, only to return with new plates and start moving the dirty ones onto the next table just to make room. It’s hard to overstate how unprofessional this felt. The napkins and tablecloths had holes in them, ants were crawling across the table, and in the restroom, paper towels were not replenished in a timely manner. And the cherry on top? The food was as mediocre as everything else. For example, the calamari was so overcooked it had the texture of rubber. This place is absolutely not worth your time or money.

On a sunny day in an unassuming side street of The Hague you’ll find an unexpected Spanish street. Tables and chairs randomly spread across the sidewalks to add just the right touch of charm and coziness. Had a nice shared tapas style dinner with a friend who frequents this place. The menu had some unexpected names and combinations for both the drinks and food which worked great together. I will definitely put it on my list of recommended restaurants for The Hague. We also had a lovely waitress that served us who despite how busy it was stayed really friendly and attentive.
Mariah B — Google review
We were a group of 7 with no reservation, they sit us pretty fast in the terrace, great atmosphere and charming decoration with real candles, everything what we ordered tasted good, I would say it’s a very creative kitchen with tastes that can surprise you, although, small portions and a bit pricey in my opinion. We ordered 2 plates of jamón, 2 plates of cheese, 2 plates of razor clams, 1 plate boquerones, 2 plates lamb chops, 1 plate seabass curdo, 1 plate meat, 1 plate special and desserts, 2 ice creams with french toast and a cheese platter. I would come here for tapas borrel and cocktail, but you have to keep in mind that it’s not going to be cheap. We paid over 300€ so around 45 per person. The food took long to come but we understand that it was very crowded.

Family restaurant
Five Guys is a burger restaurant located in the Hague that offers made-to-order burgers, fries, and hot dogs. In addition, customers can enjoy peanuts while they wait. The burgers are equivalent in size to those at Dutch burger restaurants, but are more expensive.
Very nice restaurant, with high quality burgers and delicious fries (handcut!). Also loved their milkshakes (especially the pistachio one - limited edition). Lots of ways to customize your burger and the veggies with it. Atmosphere is simple, but effective, allowing you to focus on food and get on with your day .
Laura S — Google review
Our first time at Five Guys, we came in a bit late but the server was nice saying that we could stay while they started cleaning. Tried the cheeseburger and the bacon burger and both were nice, the cheeseburger was our favorite. We got large fries and got given some extra so the portion was actually huge (pictured). Also I wasn’t aware that all the burgers came with two patties but it was a nice surprise. Price is not cheap but for the amount of food we got we were pretty satisfied.

Its a nice and big location. The Burger ist very good, juicy and tasty. Absolutly fantastic. The Pistachio milk shake is not Wirth to buy.
Richi K — Google review
My first time trying Five Guys and honestly the burgers were pretty darn good. The fries were excellent! The potatoes are fresh and I found it a nice touch that it's written on the wall where today's batch is brought from. It is a little bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth it, portion size is good and there is uniqueness to the entire experience that is well worth trying.
Danail A — Google review
I wanted to like this place, but the burger missed the mark. Cold, soggy bun, bland meat (tasteless) and messy assembly. Fries and ambiance were the highlights, but overall I wouldn’t recommend this place for a burger.

The Bacon Cheeseburger at Five Guys is really good! I love how they include mushrooms in the burger – it adds a nice touch. Also, the fact that they offer free peanuts and unlimited refills is awesome. Overall, it's a great burger joint to visit.
Juozas B — Google review
Really good burger. Fries were a little salty but clearly fresh potatoes used in making them- they actually tasted of potato! Price/quality ratio is really good when you consider the cost of any other fast food burger place.

I was really excited to try Five Guys in The Hague, drawn in by the American ambiance. The place looked promising and had a great ambiance. However, the prices were unjustifiably high for the underwhelming experience. While the restaurant was clean, the burger I ordered was disappointingly bland and lacked any wow factor. The presentation was lackluster as well, especially considering the steep price. I had expected much more for what I paid. Despite the hype, my taste buds were left thoroughly disappointed.

Came upon this wacky bar whilst strolling through the Hague. It was summer and most of the activity is outside sitting at the colourful tables. You kind of feel you've joined a little community. Atmosphere generated by the colourful owner whose presence is really felt, as she checks on your empty glass and tops up your crisp bowl, engaging in chat which brings the sense of the pavement cafe community together. Live music too on a Monday!

This pub has my heart! The terrace is lovely in the summer and the interior just warms you up as soon as you step inside in the winter. Usually one person behind the bar yet they are always sweet, fast, and quite attentive. The complementary chips that come in little Turkish tea saucers always make me happy. They have a solid selection of beer and you can enjoy the gin from the hague's staple gin distillery Van Kleef! Their liquor selection is also satisfying. The age average is a little above what you're used to seeing on that street and sometimes you will see families with their little kids around, which separates the place from hustle and bustle of Oude Molstraat. Definitely something to consider before you go though:).

Best food in Den Haag! Every dish is always unique and delicious. Michele Auriel has been the head chef for over 20 years and puts a lot of thought and hard work into creating new meals every week. Her menu is always fresh, seasonal and something you’ll be talking about long after you’ve left. They only serve dinner and (incredible) deserts. The atmosphere is cozy and cool, with a charming and lively bar downstairs. Apparently it has existed as a bar for well over 150 years. So the overall experience is like stepping back in time. Don’t miss this one!

Great spot sitting out front in the sunny street we had a great brunch here. Service was quick and friendly. Can't vouch for the inside dining experience. The food was tasty, good portion size and well presented. Definitely recommend if you are in Den Haag!

Great food and service. Everything on the menu sounded good so it was hard to choose! We ended up with the gochujang chicken n waffles and the jalapeno cheese pancakes, both of which were delicious and filling. I hope to be back one day!

We visited this cozy coffee bar and absolutely loved it! ☕️ We had a Pumpkin Spice Latte, a Matcha Latte, a Red Velvet Cake, and a cookie — everything was delicious! The flavors were perfectly balanced and the presentation was beautiful. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, perfect for a chill afternoon. We paid 17€ for everything, which felt totally worth it for the quality and experience. Highly recommend! 💛

This is an excellent place to have breakfast. We went there with kids and they provided a baby chair. While the menu is limited, there is a good variety in the options available. We ordered french omelette and the jalapeno grilled cheese pancakes, both with bacon. The taste was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The cappuccino and hot chocolate we ordered along with the food were also great.
Kartik S — Google review
Nice cozy place, staff are very friendly and welcoming. I do believe they could improve their food selection a bit, the type of bread they served wasn’t really my favorite, I would much prefer some sort of a toasted brioche bread. But nice place to have brunch overall!

Kaafi Specialty Coffee and Brunch Bar is an absolute delight! From the moment you step in, you are greeted with a lovely atmosphere. The service is professional and fast. The coffee here is amazing, crafted with care by skilled barista. The menu is creative. It was so hard to choose from that. Next time I will try something else. 😊 I would like to recommend for anyone who appreciates specialty coffee and absolutely amazing brunch menu.

The Zuiderstrandtheater, located at Spuiplein 150, is a popular venue in The Hague where the Residentie Orchestra and the renowned Netherlands Dance Theater showcase their performances. The concert hall is known for its excellent acoustics, providing an immersive experience for the audience. Despite its industrial and rough appearance, the theater exudes a unique charm that adds to its appeal.
Great Theater with friendly staff. A wardrobe is available. We received drinks within our ticket price and the seating, even though we were quite far from the podium, had excellent view. There are enough Toilets which is a massive plus and I, honestly, cannot think of any negatives.

Large theatre, enjoyed the show, though a bit strangely located next to the beach (which is usually a hostyle windy cold place at night in this longitude).

As an Opera dedicated goer, this new venue is on my list of the very best internationally. I shall stay enchanted by this opera theatre by the sea. Simply excellent. And since ergonomics and details matter: Seats are good too, staff is very nice, and drinks are a feel good plus!

Foodhallen Den Haag is a vibrant culinary destination that brings together an array of flavors and experiences under one roof. With 11 diverse food stands, visitors can indulge in everything from gourmet pizzas to delightful snacks, all while enjoying a selection of specialty beers and a dedicated wine & gin tonic bar. A standout feature is their collaboration with Kompaan Bier, resulting in the unique Haagsche Bluf Pale Ale—an absolute must-try for beer enthusiasts.
I went to the food halls in the evening to watch a European Championship soccer match. The service at Pizza's, Toasties, Snacks was very friendly (as in food halls in general). I had to wait more or less 15 minutes. The Bolognese toastie was great. Nice and crispy and sprinkled with plenty of Parmesan. The Bolognese sauce harmonizes extremely well with the cheese. The price of €9.50 is quite high but the norm for concept food truck prices. I can highly recommend both the food halls and the pizza store. The general service in the food halls is excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed and every employee enjoys their work. The relaxed, friendly atmosphere inside is a result of this.

This is a great place to go and enjoy some quality time with friends. Very relax atmosphere with many options for food for all the preferences. There are also plenty of options for alcohol as there is a fully operated bar in the court. The only negative is that some of the food options look to be purely prepared and to an extend probably pre-cooked or frozen. I wouldn't recommend that much for food but is a great option for drinks with nibbles and chill atmosphere if

Very lovely place. The ambience is really good, with comfortable seating areas and it is definitely not as loud in this location as other foodhalls. Good variety of food, yet only a few vegan options. Staff is overall friendly and they play good music. If you are with a group of friends, this place is definitely a good option.

It is a very nice and cozy bar. The variety of beer is outstanding. The barman is very friendly and kind. The square is very cozy and sunny in the evening. There are tables outside.

What a bartender for such a lovely place. He tried to insult us and teach “civilization” in a very disturbing arrogant way, out of the blue. He even used F word, again out of the blue, although we did not say anything disrespectful. Shame that he runs the place. I will never go there again, unfortunately.

Great little cafe to stop at for a beer tasting afternoon. They have a very extensive beer menu and very knowledgeable bar staff who can recommend depending on your taste and mood. It is a 1min walk from any busy street so also a nice place to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine.

Bartender was in a special mood and started insulting and swearing in dutch thinking I don’t understand. A show of ignorance. Definitely doesnt deserve to have customers and run a bar if he doesn’t have the mental skill to keep himself together. The bar in not bad in itself, but you never know if someone will make it into a bad experience.

A cozy place with a great selection of local and European beers. No British beer except maybe 1 type is served here. Do not expect super friendly service, but Lambert is knowledgeable. Just take your beer and enjoy without too much of a fuss.

The sound quality enhances the realism, making you feel as if you're truly part of the scenes unfolding before you. It's a perfect outing for families and nature enthusiasts alike!
Fun and interactive museum + theatre! Kids will find it fun, as a young adult myself i enjoyed it. The theatre is showing imax film on curved screen (as i uploaded) and the museum changes it sub-themes every couple months: but the main theme remains the same - earth, people, and sustainable feature. Worth the money i’d say
Adinda — Google review
Went to see a really nice movie about fungi and forests. While still impressive, the projection technology seems to be showing its age with rather blurry picture quality and low brightness compared to current day cinema tech. Your eyes do adjust to it if you're used to IMAX theaters. On a 28C day the viewing hall was surprisingly hot with no AC in the hall itself. Luckily we had some hand fans which made it a lot more bearable. The cinema store was cute and the staff while inexperienced were very polite. Had a nice experience, but for 17 euro admission I'd only come back if they improved their tech.

Impressive Experience at Omniversum Den Haag! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Omniversum Den Haag is a must-visit! The dome-style theatre offers a unique and immersive movie-watching experience you won’t find anywhere else. We watched OCEAN, narrated by David Attenborough — a stunning and powerful film. While we had hoped it would fill the entire dome ceiling, it was still an incredible visual journey. The sound and screen quality are top-notch, and the atmosphere really draws you in. Highly recommend for families, tourists, and anyone looking for something special in The Hague!
Edward E — Google review
An unique experience. I didn't realize the dome where you view the movies is in the back of the complex and you have to walk around the entire museum to get to it(see photo). I saw the "Celebration of Pink Floyd’s legendary album Dark side of the Moon." I was expecting a music video or video set to The Dark side of the Moon. However, this was something completely different. This was more like a few artists' take on the album. The songs were remixed and set to very trippy visuals, that is really the only way to describe it. It almost felt like someone had left on the visualizer from an old Microsoft media player at times.

This place is amazing!! I didn't expect it to be this cool. We took a 10am session to see the turtle odyssey and it was beautiful. Smartly only 47 min because my toddler was already at his end. Then I went to the museum because the ticket came together. And oh boy I didn't expect so many interactive and fun things to do! So worth the 17 euros! Other places charge you so much and offer so little. Just some tips: food could have more options and healthier ones. Also some interactive things were not well explained. The session with "men evolution " could have a warning sign. It's quite frightening for a small kid. Other than that had a great time and didn't want to leave!
Julie C — Google review
It was really amazing! The film was just out of this world! We watched animal kingdom and it was really amazing. There's a lot of activities in the museum for the kids and for the adults to enjoy with their kids. Definitely recommend going!
Danine W — Google review
The exhibition is great! The idea of illustrating "sustainable development" is wonderful! But it's not technically well thought out. Young and older children study the questions, but soon they get tired of "thinking through" them and just run around the room, punching holes in a card slot machine without really understanding the topic. It's a bit sad.... Also we enjoyed the film in the cinema! And the museum is connected to the art gallery by a simple glass corridor! So you can simply walk there without going outside, but you'll need to buy other tickets, of course!
Irina S — Google review
We tried Mesmerica in 3D dome. It was music and some 3D shapes. Requested to be there 45min earlier but didn't have any point as we needed to wait on the stairs till they open the door. In general was good to try but by looking at the ticket price didn't have much content.

Binnenhof is an iconic landmark in The Hague, housing the Dutch parliament within medieval buildings surrounding a central courtyard. The exquisite Ridderzaal, or Knights Hall, and the First Chamber with its painted medallions of King William II are must-see attractions. This picturesque government complex also includes the Second Chamber, Rolzaal Court House, and Lairessezaal with 17th-century paintings.
Beautiful hsitoric group of buildings where the Dutch government (parliament and senat) is having its official meetings. When we visited in August 2024 some buildings were being renovated and were closed for the public. We really enjoyed walking in the area full of Dutch history.

From the outside, it looks decent, but there’s nothing too exciting about it. It’s a historic place, but at the moment, a lot of the area is under construction, so it doesn’t feel very special. If you’re already nearby, it’s fine for a quick stop and a couple of photos, but I wouldn’t go out of my way just to visit. There are definitely more interesting spots around.

The Binnenhof, formerly known as the Hof van Holland, is a complex of buildings in downtown The Hague that houses the Dutch Parliament and Government. Although Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands, government activities are conducted in The Hague. The Binnenhof is a 15-minute walk from The Hague Central Station. Built in the 13th century, this Gothic-style castle originally served as the residence of Dutch royalty and became a political center in 1584. It is among the top 100 Dutch heritage sites. The Binnenhof is one of the oldest Parliament buildings in the world still in use...

Beautiful Parliament office that sits next to the Hofvijver lake, which is also lovely with the fountains flowing, ducks, swimming, and great weather. Definitely one of the sights to see when in the area. The area on the other side is under construction and we could not see a way in to check if tours or anything were available still.

The Binnenhof, meaning "inner court," was built in the 13th century as a hunting lodge for the Counts of Holland and later developed into the country’s political heart. At its center stands the Ridderzaal (Hall of Knights), where the King delivers his annual speech on Prinsjesdag (the opening of Parliament). The complex is arranged around a central courtyard with additional small squares at the rear, housing the Dutch Houses of Parliament, the Prime Minister’s office, and key government institutions. Still in use as one of the world’s oldest parliamentary buildings, the Binnenhof has been undergoing major renovations since 2021, expected to finish by 2028 or 2030.

Heritage museum
Van Kleef Distillery Museum, founded in 1842, is a unique and well-known spot in The Hague. It's the last jenever producer in the city and offers free visits with tastings of their local spirits. The distillery produces various types of jenever, including limited editions like the aged Old Chap. As part museum, liquor shop, and tasting center, it provides tours to showcase its distilling equipment and traditional craftsmanship.
The cocktail tastings are a definite must do here. You can experience it in both English or Dutch. 5 cocktails and many good times complete with snacks and good banter. The tasting is done out in a garden that makes you feel like you're not in the middle of a busy city. The people working there love their jobs and were super helpful in helping us with which liqueurs to try and to possibly take home. Take your mum here. She will definitely have a great day out.

This was an unexpected gem for our day trip to The Hague, we were expecting a museum but found a delightful bar in an authentic setting. The staff are incredibly helpful (and funny), the food is very good but the star of the experience is the drinks. We indulged in several flights and fully expect to be back soon. If you're coming to the city center you must come and enjoy this place. We went back again this year and the experience was as equally enjoyable as the first, except we were able to sit outside this time in the garden and it was an even more delightful experience.
Michael P — Google review
A lovely former brewery that still bottles jenever. The facility has an amazing garden! The host do an amazing story about the history of Jenever, the difference between old and new Jenever, the difference between jenever and gin and why it isn't allowed to brew in the city...

What an absolutely fantastic experience. We had booked a tasting session—just a nice little visit to The Hague to knock back some liqueurs and have a cozy chat. It was supposed to last about two hours. But, thanks to our delightful hostess Fleur, we stumbled out four and a half hours later, slightly tipsy and definitely more enlightened. If you ever find yourself in The Hague, this is an absolute must-do. Just visit vankleef.eu—you’ll thank me when you sober up.

A huge part of what makes this place special are the people that work here, from the kitchen staff to the bar, everyone is wonderful! They were more than accommodating, and made us feel welcomed and included with the tasting experience even though we naively walked-in last minute without reservations (reservations ARE required for the guided tasting/tour, which we learned after the fact). The staff were nice and allowed us to join mid-tasting in our very spontaneous visit, which turned into one of my favorite tasting experiences…ever. The bar bites are delicious and pair well with the liqueur. Make sure to get the spicy pepper concoction! Note to self: make reservations to get the full tour next time!

Live music bar
Cafe
Muziekcafé De Paap, located in The Hague, is a renowned venue that has served as a launching pad for internationally acclaimed Dutch rock and pop groups such as Golden Earring. This historic music institution hosts regular live concerts featuring rock, soul, and funk bands. Additionally, it occasionally features comedy shows. With an open stage for bands to perform, visitors can discover new music while enjoying delicious food and drinks including beer in the open-air beer garden when the weather permits.
We came on a Saturday night at around 10 PM, if I remember correctly, looking to enjoy some live music. By the time we arrived, there were not too many people yet since the live music started at 11 PM. But we still got in and ordered some beer. We got to see the Donkey Fonk live, they were good. Only thing is you need to pay to use the bathroom, around 50 cents or so, doesn't matter if you're a customer or not, which I found a bit unusual. Overall, a nice place to hang out.

Thus place has terrible door staff, the people in front were refused entry, citing regulars only. For myself I was told I had had enough already, actually im drinking in the club upstairs in the same venue. Personally i think the bouncers like to fiddle with kids

I wanted to get in. The doorman said to pay entrance. When I asked until when the place is open the doorman refused to let me in. Very weird and not polite way. Bad service. Don't recommend to go there. Better to go to places that respect clients that will pay in the bar. Have Better places in the city. Watch out.

This place has got to be the worst place in The Hague. Aggressive behaviour from staff, why people even go in to start with amazes me. It's dirty and really badly managed, perhaps an inspection is necessary...would not trust buying a drink here...not even sure what they sell is legal.
Catherine — Google review
I had a good night with my friend while Phonosin were playing. The whole stage is really entertaining. Then when the band left they started playing musing and it got really crowded. The only bad thing about this exp is the fact that I "lost" my wallet. Funny enough two weeks ago it happened the same to a friend of mine in the same place. How so? 0.30cl beer for 4.20€
Samuele V — Google review
Careful, Scammers! Purposely overcharging you. I was ordering a beer and they charged me for 2. The same happened to a lot of friends of mine. The floor is really sticky and the drinks are overpriced (even for the Hague standards). I can only suggest you to stay away from this place ! There are way better places in town, where you have a better atmosphere, better prices and actually honest bartenders
NIKLASgoesNZ — Google review
I wish I could take away stars from the people who rated this place positively. I was extremely disappointed by the rude and almost racist behaviour of a bartender who refused entry to my Sikh friend for not removing his cap. For the uninformed, believers of Sikhism often cover their head with a turban or a cap. It’s their way of showing reverence to the faith. When the bartender asked him to remove the cap, my friend offered him an explanation as to why he couldn’t take the cap off, but the bartender refused to listen to him. When we pointed to several men( white) dancing in the crowd with their caps on the bartender said “ no discussion, leave”. The bartender didn’t care to explain why some people with the caps were allowed whilst my friend was not. I am sure he must have had a good reason but he didn’t think it was important enough to elaborate it. All we wanted was to enjoy a drink and groove, but the experience left us salty. The management needs to clearly define the entry rules and apply them without any discrimination or bias based on colour or faith. Otherwise, I am certain incidents such as this will make this place extremely unpopular amongst the coloured expat community.
