Nice facilities. Fine location. Cool concept. Very nice range in the shows bring performed there. Decent selection of beer og acceptable progress. If you are wearing a jacket or is mandatory to hand it in at the wardrobe. Proving for that is fine and the second is good, but it will leave a large queue when the show is over.

Sound is really crap and forcing ppl to hand in their jackets and make them pay for that is an absolut no go! What's even the point of that, except for making more money? It's not as if I suddenly caught fire. Stop telling this is for "savety"

Train is a strange venue. They have very little space in front of the stage. Their selection of drinks is extremely limited and generally poor. Completely standard liquors are not available, for instance, and the beer selection is a handful of Carlsberg brand on tap and no bottle selection to speak of. Prices are also expensive. Additionally they use ticketmaster for ticket sales which is a negative. It gets 2 stars because after all I can see concerts, even if I cannot enjoy a quality beverage with it. The toilets are also pretty large, so low queue.

Great small venue for listening to music. You get a good intimate feel. The floor is in different levels and there is a balcony which makes it easy to find a good spot for viewing. The acoustics is average - best for simple and not too loud performances.

This concert from 06/11 2018 (Human League) was excellent and the location fitting, even when it was sold out. The mood of all people there was great and that was due to the cosy and not-so-big size of Train.

I visited this pub because of its cocktail menu, as i am a whisky drinker. I got a bit of a look after my clumsy attempt at Danish, so ordered in English - best Whisky Old Fashioned i've had in a while; the decor is nice, as is the ambience. Recommended.

British beers in a Sherlock Holmes themed British pub. Everything served at the correct temperature with courteous and knowledgeable staff. A must try for this in Aarhus looking for something a little different, but also a bit familiar.

A cozy pub that has a rough edge in a good kind of way. Heavily Holmes themed, it's definitely a UK-styled pub. It has a good beer selection and smoking and non-smoking areas.

Completly empty Pub, the Barkeeper was kind of Strange and was on his Laptop most of the time. Very nice selection of beer, lots of different styles and tastes could be tried if the barkeeper would pay attention and the Pub wasn't so empy.

Went there when it was rather empty. Service was good and food was quite good as well. I had the beef stew, which was a little salty but well balanced with the mashed potatoes. Just a little dark in the pub itself, which made it difficult to see.

Love this place. Best Guiness Irish Stew I've had in a long time! Great atmosphere and wonderful staff!

EDIT: We went again. This time the experience was much better, the sandwich and wings were awesome and we even stayed around for a few drinks after. I'd love to go again if this is what I'll be served. Ben, the staff, was awesome! Went for dinner and was pretty excited, what a let down. The price is crazy. It is super expensive!!! We had starters (which was massive and nice only reason for one star), but the main was horrible. The pulled pork burger was super dry and fatty and the normal burger was raw. The staff was very sweet but kinda hard to grab the attention of, so we weren’t able to tell them about the food. After I paid (almost 900DKK) she asked how the food was and I told her it was horrible and burger was raw. She said “oh sorry” but that was it. I have regretted aince that I didn’t walk up to them before and told them the food was horrible. Wouldn’t recommend.

Absolutely five stars and a plus for the kind and professional service. Whiskey sour was top notch, steak as ordered and bloody decent size not to say big. Seasoned less than more to allow your inner steak lover to adjust it as you want. Free coffee above all else. Chips and the sauce were just as good. Highly recommended. Will come back. Definitely.

Okey, guys have cool old furniture and good whiskey choice, as I suppose. But. Along the popularity (more than a thousand of reviews!) there are crowds and long wait for a waiter. And it was a super ordinary Moscow Mule :) Chose beer or whiskey here.

Classy bar! Great staff and the regulars were welcoming. It's a great place if you want to get some affordable drinks, or want to spend a bit more on some top shelf beverages. This is a must visit in Aarhus! I'll be back for sure.

A place where one should never go. Drinks are overpriced and not so good, dance floor is ALWAYS sticky, the place itself is unclean, music is bad and dj’s just pretend to do something - what is the point of that? One of the worst places in the city.

Weird place. Good for Friday party...disco place with young drunken people :-) but if you are foreigner you have unexpectable and unbelievable problems in the entrance with the guard mans. They can or cannot allow you go inside. Without reason,without explanation... depends on wearthet I think. If you ask why,no answer.

Locals-only bar - you need to have a residence permit (the yellow card) to get in. If you're a tourist, avoid this place. Shame it is not stated anywhere, I had to waste so much time waiting in a queue for nothing. Otherwise, I don't really know.

It take very long to serve you the drinks and thay are very light weight, they don't put almost any alcohol in it. But the rest is very good.

The place was very crowded, you had to wait in a line for a very long time even if you already had a stamp. Also, the place and surrounding smelled horrible. Very disappointed.

The building itself is pretty cool. Some of the exhibitions are nice. They have headphones but only in Danish. The roof top sky walk is fun to take photos of.

suppose I hate modern art as most of this was dreadful to my eyes. I did like the landscape paintings and a few others but most of it was weird, bad or just utter nonsense. The two women cutting onions was the biggest joke they called art. I don’t get the rainbow roof either, so what? It’s tinted glass, for kids or Instagram/TikTokers it may be good but not for adults.

I was a bit disappointed from the expectations as they do have 10 floors but in reality only 7-8. The highest floor has the rainbow colored glass and This is definitely the best part of the museum in my opinion. 2 levels below it as the human art which was decent. The floor below it was okay. And all the other floors wasn't worth checking out. 2 floors were for a younger audience. So if you're going as a family it may be worth visiting all the floors. If you're all adults. You may not stay there for super long. They have a cafeteria and toilets as well as Free WiF, they have a button that slows down the rotating door which is good for bad walkers or wheelchair usersi. It's not a bad place but not a super interesting one either in my opinion.

Beautiful museum. A lot of stairs, but there are elevators available for people with difficulty to walk. We loved the interactive art area. We appreciated that the front desk employee warned us for a scarier exposition on the third floor, since we brought our child. That way we could avoid it. What could have made the experience so much better would be if they’d implement a play area for young children. Young kids can get bored or overwhelmed and it would be nice if they could de-stimulate in a play area/child friendly area. That way someone can watch the kids in the play area while the other can enjoy art in peace. The rainbow panorama is very noisy. This could trigger you if you’re sound sensitive. Best is to bring some kind of noise cancelling for a better experience. There was so much amazing art in this museum. It’s definitely worth a visit. Parking is a bit difficult. We went on a workday and there were very few parking spots available.

Lovely Art Museum with a lot of modern art. They have a significant collection of Danish artists. Currently there is a Picasso and others on the display. You can also see Andy Warhol’s art there. On the top of the building there is a Rainbow Panorama which is very interesting. Art is spread over 10 floors in the building. Parking is not a problem around the museum. Inside you can have a coffee and a light meal.

I had a beef burger, which wasn't too expensive, yet very tasty and fairly big. Quality of service was very nice. The waitress took my order and was very helpful. Atmosphere of this place is nice. A very spacious bar, many choices from the menu. Some classics of music are playing inside, prices are bit high, but worth the service provided.

Bad service, seemed to be bored and not paying attention. Can't speak about the food, I left after half hour without even seeing the menu.

Amazing service and very big portions for brunch menu.

We ordered a place and a three course meal through early bird. The service was terrible, it felt like the restaurant was run by a bunch of kids. We got the starter 40 minutes after we ordered it, the hamburgers (main course) were absolutely drowning in mayonnaise and we had to go to the waiters and remind them to order us the next course each time. The only saving grace was the dessert. We will not be returning.

The best service in all Århus! Lovely place, lovely waiters and great food! Me and my friend did order way too much, but it was lovely to sit and talk, slowly enjoy great cuisine. Thank you very much for making our evening special 🙏

A really friendly pub with a good selection of draught beers. I enjoyed a pint of Edelweiss, but wasn’t sure what to try next. The barman very kindly offered me a taste of a few other beers and I decided on Anarkist. The garden was lovely.

There was no drinks menu but the staff could fix pretty much any drink we wished for. The place is quite small and half of it is smoking area so wouldn’t recommend to people who are trying to avoid big crowds or be smoke free. Otherwise it has quite a cozy atmosphere and cool bartenders

A wonderful taste of Denmark. The food is traditional Danish fayre and very good. Bar staff were very welcoming. I shall be coming back to Aarhus regularly and intend on making Peter Gift my bar of choice.

A proper place to come and hangout. And the story of "Peter Poison' is golden. If you are in the area, go visit.

Lovely venue for heavy metal. Lots of different subgenres within the genre, but when festivals are held there tends to be an overabundance of death metal, which can get repetitive - this is not, however, a criticism of the venue, as it is generally on point when it comes to sound quality.

Last night, while we were trying to decide what to drink at Herr Bartels, I saw the bartender preparing a cocktail and called out to ask what it was. After ignoring me several times, he signaled me to be quiet with his hand and didn’t even bother to ask what we wanted to order. I’ve never felt so humiliated. Needless to say, we left the place. I sincerely hope someone reminds that kid—who thinks he’s a bartender—that he’s not working in a library.

Cheap drinks and the best music, that’s all you need

Used to be the best place in Aarhus. Seems like a good place to work at though when instead of taking care of the guests workers on and off shifts just drink and chat together instead. Cocktails are simply bad.

Great staff and a friendly vibe from visitors. Drank 12 Long Island Ice Tea, went home almost sober. The deal 2 for 1 is great, a shame they contain primarily cola 🤷🏼‍♂️

So many food choices! It's worth stopping and enjoying the cuisine. Summer days make the outside lively with folks enjoying food, drinks, and ice cream. Inside, there is a primary bar and another for non-alcoholic drinks, and on warm days you'll find more seating. Pick from a variety of food, some Danish but many others too.

We loved it here - great food options for all tastes including vegetarian and vegan. There was cuisine from across the world as well as Danish food and some nice bars and coffee shops. We visited during the day when it was child friendly and there was plenty of space available.

Excellent food hall located close to the main train station with so many different food options available. I had the falafel wrap from “Zaatar” and it was good. Personally the bread was a bit too flakey for my liking, but still good and the portion generous. Recommended!!

I had the chance to sample dishes from Japanese, Middle Eastern, and British stalls, and each one delivered on quality and taste. A MUST VISIT This is a great place to visit. Plenty of small street food cars - lots of choices. We have been here several times, and we always have a good time. They do also have public restrooms - normally nice and clean. There are indoor as well as outdoor seating areas. Definitely a must visit when in Århus.

The place to go when none of your family members/friends can decide on one thing to eat, just go to this place and everyone can order what they want. Once you order at the food stand of your choice you get a buzzer so you can go back outside/to your table and wait until the food is ready. I had been craving korean fried chicken for sooo long on our trip so when I saw that they had it here I was so happy 🥹 + you get actual cutlery and not just plastic ones!

Nice concept of drinks to follow the food, and it actually works. The acoustics are not good and you need to shout across the table to hear each other.

I love the internal coherency in most of the servings as well as most of the cocktails - not to forget the coherency between the food and the offered cocktails. Love it! I would love to give five stars in general but the high chairs in the front room where we dined are not suitable for a four hour sitting.

If you are looking for high end drinks this is a good place to go. Prices are pretty expensive, but also rather fair for What you get. Super drinks in taste and look. The interior is modern with respect for the old building. Cosy in the evening. Service was superb - hence making it a good experience all in all.

If you are free on Sunday afternoon in Aarhus visit Waxies and enjoy a great session of Irish music. As a bonus you can watch premiership sports on a big screen without commentary. The bar also sells beer at reduced prices for the duration of the session.

Weekday prices (Sunday to Thursday) for a draft beer for only 44 DKK - amazing!!!! This bar is extremely calm and well received if you are coming here for beers with friends and want a nice conversation (weekends is something more of a club I can imagine). The selection of beer is a majority all under the Carlsberg Group, but they have a very good selection of different beers! Bartenders are extremely friendly and good at their jobs.

The reason I am sharing this is the mistreatment I have had during my visit. Manager claimed I don't buy anything, that's why I have been cancelled to sing in the kareoke after the first song which this happened after 2 Danish guys wanted to sit where I was sitting which I allowed them to but they wanted all the seat to themselves so they could talk to girls and they felt entitled because I was drinking water after I bought my bear. They complained that I don't buy anything and went to the manager. The manager that said I didn't buy anything said I cannot sing then after I showed my receipt for the things I bought, he was like you didn't buy enough. He also complained that I take his time in a manner which I was being blamed for. I will definitely go for a formal complaint. Unacceptable 👎

If you come for the karaoke, you shall expect that it’s always delayed when it’s advertised to be scheduled on a specific time. So there are just thinking about money and not the customers. This is sad to have this experience before I am gonna have one of my feet in a cast for 6 weeks!!! It’s sad to see what Waxies has turned into after they got new owners. If you want something better then go to Lucy’s or Golden Lion.

Ben the quizmaster has wrong answers to his quizzes which is very unprofessional, and as well he is very rude and doesn’t start karaoke on time, and says it’s in that period it will start, and not from 22. Never go to this place, it’s a waste of time!

Great place for beer, the nachos were good too. It was all very clean with a good atmosphere.

Nice selection of beer. Typical pub atmosphere, occasional music and weekly karaoke. Looks like popular place with locals. Belgian Pale Ale is my recommendation. Nice seating place on the street to enjoy the summer with a glass of beer watching people.

Frederik is probably one of the best bartenders in town! Humorous, skillful and puts a smile on everyones face! Only thing that’s better is the beer selection

From mid-afternoon it's a real bar, not a cafe. Very Turkish feel, with nice micro-brew beers (not a Tuborg house!). Good vibes. After an hour, feeling the Turkish influence, am sure I'm getting bitten by bugs living in the sofa!

One of the few places left where you can smoke inside. This is a good beer bar. The crowd is young university types, the selection of beers is good, and then they let you smoke inside. They have games, and a very relaxed atmosphere. This is a small place, and there is always many people here,. So if you are in a big group, expect there not to be room for you. But its worth the try and swing by.

We visited Aarhus for the day while on a cruise, and Aarhus Cathedral (Skt. Clemens Kirke) was one of the most impressive sights of our short stop! Located right in the city center, it’s impossible to miss—its towering spire dominates the skyline and draws you in from blocks away. Dating back to the 14th century, this is Denmark’s largest church and an important historical landmark. The exterior is beautiful, but stepping inside truly took our breath away. The architecture is stunning, with high vaulted ceilings, intricate woodwork, and centuries-old frescoes that have been beautifully preserved. You can really feel the history in every detail. Even with limited time in the city, this cathedral was well worth the visit. It’s peaceful, awe-inspiring, and gives you a real sense of Aarhus’s heritage. Whether you’re into history, architecture, or simply want to take in a quiet moment while exploring, Aarhus Cathedral is a must-see. Highly recommended if you're visiting the city—even just for the day!

If you come to Aarhus, you should come here. You can feel the grandeur of the cathedral. You can get in there for free and it was 5kr to go up to the tower. You can see the view of Orhus. But I didn't go up.

Beautiful cathedral that had organ music playing when we came. Lots of amazing frescoes to pore over. Free entry and free toilet. Read their brochure for information on why there is a ship hanging in "the ship" part of the cathedral or why the patron saint is holding an upside down anchor. The entry to the clock tower was unfortunately closed when we visited.

Fantastic cathedral , free to enter although I believe there is a fee for climbing the tower. Lots of frescos, tombs and art. If you are there when the organ plays it will blow your mind. If worth a visit and there are toilets too

Fascinating cathedral with many frescoes from the 15th and 16th centuries (also one from the 1300s!) and a unique altarpiece created in the mid-1400s. Take your time in here, there is a lot more to see than first appears. Buy one of ylthe pamphlets at the entrance in order to really appreciate this well-preserved cathedral.

The most interesting part were the wall paintings and the delicately made wooden doors. There were many sculptures too. Almost like a museum, full of history.

We had an amazing day! It was opening day and not too crowded, so the lines were moving pretty quickly. The stairs in the illusion house and the dodgem bumper cars were the highlights (& the ice cream!). The mini gold course was very challenging. Hope to come back sometime.

This place was on my wishlist to visit while in Denmark and it did not disappoint! Whimsical amusement park with a beautiful walking path, good food and scenic views. We split a burger and fries, should have had the fish and chips instead and the ice cream was delicious! Pizza was one of the best I’ve had in a while. Would recommend and will revisit sometime soon.

So, let's get things started. Food: I got no complaints, at least... for the food itself. Man, those prices are high. Classic theme park prices here. Service: This is where I will speak on the scare actors. Fantastic! They are everywhere and will sneak up on you no matter what you're doing. Ordering food? Prepare to have a clown standing, staring, waiting for you to turn. Despite all this, as soon as the scare actors saw something wrong, they would help. Throughout the day I saw them help families with buggies, support people that are upset and guide people in the right direction. Rides: The drop tower was pretty good. The roller coaster was honestly pretty forceful, providing nice inversions and a very steep first drop. Environment: Wow! During the day this place looked alright I guess. Some good decorations involving pumpkins but it was very basic. Just grassy, that's it. During the night though? The whole place lit up! The lights were mesmerising. It went from random forest to Neo Toyko in a second.

Nice little park with ok rollercoasters. There are entertainment for all ages. Many places to eat or drink, or just enjoy a bench int he park.

This is a great amusement park which is easy to get to using public transportation. If you’re here on a cruise ship, it’d be a great place to stop at. The roller coasters weren’t the best, but the overall park was great. It’s a bit pricy but so is everything in Denmark.

It's fine, a good way to spend a couple of hours. The highlight here is the (separately paid) high rope course. However, it doesn't hold a candle when you compare it to other bigger theme/amusement parks like the amazing Djurs Sommerland because Tivoli seems to mostly only buy the cheapest, second hand attractions.

Haunted house scream pass was amazing

Really good food, only the dessert i was not that fond off. It was white chocolate mousse with pear but someone thought it was a good idea to mix in some Tonka beans... I WAS NOT! this amazing mousse with really good marinated pears got destroyed but the beans. Would not recommend if you don't love beans. But the rest of the food was world class.

I had dinner here as a dine-in guest and ordered a shrimp dish and a burger. The shrimp was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. The staff were incredibly polite, clean, well-dressed, and very hardworking. The environment of the restaurant is beautiful, with a nice option to sit either inside or out on the balcony. However, the burger was a terrible experience. The first time it arrived, it was completely raw inside. I asked for it to be cooked more, and they kindly brought me another one. That one was slightly better cooked, but still raw in the middle and had a very bad smell and taste — it made me feel nauseous. I asked them again to cook it more, and they brought yet another burger. They even kindly offered me a free drink while I waited. But unfortunately, the third burger was still not edible. I couldn’t eat it, and the entire plate was left untouched. Since eating there last night, I’ve had an upset stomach and feel unwell. The meat had a very unpleasant odor and taste. That said, I truly appreciate the effort and kindness of the staff — they tried three times and were extremely respectful throughout. They also insisted on not charging me for the drinks, which I really appreciated.

We love to come to this place, we enjoy the food, wine the atmosphere, thats why we keep on coming back. It has been a while , so we (4 persons) decided to come have dinner. We ordered a Piña Colada to share for 290kr. When we got our Piña Colada it tasted awful. It wasn’t even close to being a Piña Colada, the taste reminded us of danish Koldskål or lemon milk. We drank about 3 sips, payed and left. We never plan to return again.

The food was very tasty. Small portions as you’d expect from tapas but I felt smaller than expected. The crab gratin was overpriced at 110kr for a tiny dish without much crab and no bread or cracker to dip. The chef likes salt. A lot. I have no problem with that except when you don’t bring water to the table and you can’t get water without paying for it. Ok - looked like that was going to be some sort of charity donation when the bottle came, but still. That much salt needs plentiful free water. Overpriced for the amount of food but all did taste very good. The star was the shrimp “hotdog”

The staff were attentive and nice. We ordered a vegetarian brunch and a regular brunch. They subbed the hot dog and croque monsieur with a polenta open toast. The romesco sauce and scrambled eggs were notably delicious. The warm cinnamon waffles were satisfying and the mango dip was perfect! Highly recommend this place for brunch!

Pleasant service. We chose the 4 course menu, with the accompanying wine menu. All dishes came in good flow, no stress, no waiting. All dishes having an interesting and tasteful mix of ingredients, taste and all well prepared. No need for extra spices or salt. The wine may have not been exclusive, although perfect for the dishes and measure was good. In a town with so many restaurants with high rating, is this one in the upper level and well worth a visit.

Definitely overrated. Had a cool interior, staff were nice but maybe a little outnumbered. Drinks were pretty average, nothing special. Most of them were put with gimmicks to distract you from their mediocre concoction. One of them is literally just Prosecco with candy floss on top… I had the popcorn one first, based off recommendation, tasted of nothing, I had suggested they use Nixta corn liqueur in it instead because that tastes exactly like it. They did however take it away and off our bill which was very generous. I had then had a take on a rum old fashioned which was pleasant but tasted watered down and lacked depth from which you’d expect from the extensive list of ingredients. There are definitely better bars in the city.

AWESOME COCKTAILS SUPER SERVICE My wife and I have come here several times. From when they first opened up until today - and we will continue to return. The cocktails they make always surprise you - always something astonishing new. And they ALWAYS taste really good. Last time we were here was in JUN 2025 with friends and family. And we got a chance to sample… a lot. Definitely worth while a visit.

Mia is a champion cocktail maker and she makes a killer martini! You can tell there is a real focus on quality and the bar has a great vibe. Highly recommend - up there with the great cocktail bars in much bigger cities.

The service staff is open, polite and professional - and most importantly they like to talk about wines- and they seem to know a lot. In the center of the city this small bar offers a good selection of wines. It's an easy going and quiet place for a fun night out. They have an okay selection of wine by the glass, but when it comes to port wine the selection is limited, as is the knowledge of the wine. Price-wise it's a bit expensive. The coziest, smokiest, most charming bar in perhaps all of Denmark. The interior decoration is like nothing you've ever seen before... African Hulu masks, paintings and all sorts of random stuff hanging from the ceiling. One wall is a giant fish tank.

The hotel has it all, but most important the view. It does not get any better, with a perfect view over Århus and the sea. Bar area and restaurant are vre cosy and the hotel is easy to get around in. Location vice it is a bit out from center, but in walking distance of everything you might want to see on the city.

The hotel overall is decent, very central in the heart of the city, 8 mins walk from the main train station and the old town. This hotel doesn't offer coffee machines and mini bar at the rooms. What I find weird is that u have to order room cleaning via a barcode you have in your room, otherwise they don't clean it. Overall value for money and considering the location, I think it's not a bad option.

Noisy, dusty, and horrible parking. Don’t book this hotel if you arrive by car. Parking conditions are horrible. The hotel has very limited parking spaces. They will sell you a parking ticket despite all parking spaces are already sold out. There is no alternative parking spaces in approx 1km distance from the hotel. The hotel is in the middle of a construction site. It is quite noisy too.

Nothing to complain. Hotel is expanding so there is a building site next door but its quiet and doesn't impact the stay.

I was there in the evening. So no dinner/food. Wide variety of cocktails: Moscow mule in copper mug great, but why served with a slice of ginger? Alcoholic drinks are expensieve in Sweden! Service was enthusiast but maybe not always knowable.

The name tells you all you need to know. Pretty pleasant place, nice smoking area, classic games to play, and fairly fair prices. Also, the bartenders were always friendly and I never had issues with security. The music volume was not that bad the times I visited, which is usually an annoyance in similar places.

We were brought to this spot by a couple of locals after meeting them at the Volbeat concert in June 2019. This was the highlight of the trip! The music at this bar is awesome! Nothing like this at home. We made friends with people from Denmark, England, Iceland and Wales! Everyone was friendly and we had a blast! We partied until nearly 4am even though we had to catch a 9am train. We didn't want the night to end.

One of my favorite bars/pubs ever! I have many great memories associated with this place. First off, this isn’t a fancy upscale bar, but rather an “underground”, loud rock pub. Very laid back and unpretentious. I know personally most of the staff and owners and they’re all super nice and friendly. Cheap drinks, especially for Aarhus, and you can smoke indoors. Very importantly - great music! I’m a big fan of classic rock from the 60s, 70s and 80s, and I always find some of my favorites on their playlist. You can also make requests, when they’re not too busy. Usually they’re open very late, so party up!

This is probably the most authentic English Pub in Aarhus, with a great atmosphere and a vast variety of beers on tap as well as bottle - some carried permanently and some more seasonally. The pub is split in to two sections, one being a "typical" bar and one with two dedicated dart lanes, has a substantial outside seating area and - especially during the late spring to early autumn - often have live jazz music.

So this is one of the more mature places to go clubbing in Aarhus. The crowd is actual adults which is great, since you don't get covered in other people's drinks or get grinded by strangers. They have a great selection of gin, but mix it with a really bad, cheap tonic, so what's the point? The DJ was not great at all, and I'm pretty sure he was the one controlling the lights as well, since someone hit the black out toggle way too often and too long. The bar staff worked fast and the dancefloor was alright, but it was really cold in this area due to the aircondition.

I had a very unpleasant experience at Klemens Bar Aarhus. My friend and I were denied entry without any explanation, while the white people right behind us in line were allowed in with no issues. This was not the first time, and I have spoken with other Africans who shared the same experience of being turned away at this bar. The pattern is clear: people of color are treated differently. It feels like outright racism, and no one should have to go through that humiliation. Aarhus deserves better than a place that discriminates at the door. I cannot recommend Klemens Bar to anyone until they take accountability and change these practices.

Then a group arrived and started harassing us, aggressively trying to push us away. Absolutely unacceptable — I would never recommend this place.

When I later came to get my stuff and go home, they couldn't find them and didn't want to look. They told me to call the next day. They never answer the phone....

It started like an amazing night, it ended as a nightmare. The security guards were a bit aggressive and overbearing. Things took a turn for the worse when they called the police and we were "searched" because of a misunderstanding involving a empty beer bottle that a friend had accidentally placed a piece of chewing gum in, mistakenly thought to be drugs.

Arguably one of the worst experiences my friends and I ever had at a club if you could even call it that. The DJ was playing a boring mix of top 40s on top of a repetitive house track to a cramped dance floor at the end long bar ran by two very overworked bartenders. The club was mainly full of drunk men who accosted anybody they made eye contact with and would follow people around while fights broke out on the dance floor regularly. Nobody came to stop it besides other drunk patrons since management preferred to cut corners that night and have the place negligently understaffed. Once we couldn't stand one more minute we went to collect our coats and bags and were forced to wait over thirty minutes as only one employee was present to both sell tickets and manage the cloak room. Up to this point I would have let this all slide as most of the staff were actually very helpful and friendly, not meriting such a harsh review but then we were forced to spend more than enough time around the bouncer. From the moment we walked in he was shouting at patrons and laying hands on people without warning or provocation. While we were waiting to pick up our coats and trying to see which line to get in he pushed me against the wall instead of simply asking me to step aside. After that he would regularly storm pass and shout at the single employee both trying to sell tickets and return coats bags, imploring her to just let everyone enter before dealing with the growing line of people just waiting to hand in their tickets and leave, and did absolutely nothing to make any of us feel safe. Not sure if this was a very off night for Paradis or this is how it always is but either way I would never recommend it to someone looking to have a fun and safe night out dancing.

Really nice atmosphere, friendly parties and entrance ist free. The guests who come Here are mixed but over all cool. They have as well a nice cute cinema located inside. I would definetly go again. Prices are quite high for this type of club.

The cafe at Ost for Paradis is a really nice place to sit and read a book, or chat with a friend. The coffee, tea, and soda is only 15 kroner, and this cafe is an interior room, with about 8 tables.

We visited Aarhus for the day while on a cruise, and the Botanical Gardens and Tropical Houses quickly became one of my absolute favourite stops. The gardens themselves are lovely to stroll through, showcasing native Danish plants and thoughtfully designed landscapes. But the real highlight for me was the Tropical Houses. The glass domes are like stepping into a different world—lush, warm, and full of life. Inside, you’re surrounded by towering palms, vibrant flowers, waterfalls, and even butterflies fluttering freely through the air. As a houseplant lover, I was blown away by the size and health of many familiar plants I grow at home—jade plants, umbrella plants, bird of paradise, banana plants, philodendrons, and so many more. They looked like they were on steroids compared to my little potted versions! It was amazing to see them in this thriving, naturalistic environment. Whether you’re into plants, photography, or just want a relaxing place to explore, this spot is a must-visit in Aarhus. It’s a perfect mix of nature, education, and tranquility, right in the middle of the city. Don’t miss this gem—especially if you’re visiting Aarhus on a short stop like we were. Very nice Botanical Garden mid of Aarhus, Free entry a good cafe and greenhouse,amazing plants from around to world , they are divided into small and large groups and telling what and where they are from . Staffs are very friendly and helpful. For sure you will be very happy to visit here and see all these amazing garden .

It's good to visit this botanical garden once, but you don't have to. This place seems to be one of the places loved by locals. It is well decorated with various themes and well-organized to understand.

I love coming here! Such a varied, big, well looked after and FREE place! They have an awesome variety of plant species and the last section you can walk through packs a lot of fun in a cool space. There is a cafe there and gift shop. Plenty of things to occupy all ages! Parking is paid parking.

Nice place if you’re looking to spend your time meaningful and relaxing. If you are a nature lover then this must be in your bucket list . When we were here we feel like throat we were at home Sri Lanka . All the plantations belong to Sri Lanka climate planted here inside the green house . And the sounds are also match perfectly to the environment. Tropical weather with high humidity and all the plantations are here to find .

Very beautiful place full of many different plants from many different colours. The entrance was free. There's even a wooden watchtower inside and some butterflies flying around the greenhouses.

Simply stunning! We loved it here and spent most of our day with these beautiful animals. When you arrive, take your time, be smooth with movements. Go to back of park up the hill by the water, snap some branches at the back and watch how many deer you have right next to you eating them. Makes for a super special visit

I didn’t see a single deer when I went to the deer park in Ireland, but this time in Denmark? Around 30 deers right in front of me. What beautiful creatures! Someone on the internet says you can feed them and I got there all excited with my carrots then saw the no feeding sign :( anyways the deers are so cute! Park has wc. And the park is close to the infinite bridge.

Marselisborg Deer Park is a wonderful place to spend time in Aarhus! 🦌✨ The highlight is definitely the deer — they roam freely all around the park, which makes the experience feel magical and close to nature. There are plenty of seating areas scattered across the park, so it’s easy to find a nice spot to relax, have a picnic, or just enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The park is big, green, and very well maintained, making it enjoyable for both short walks and longer visits. Parking is never a problem since there are many spaces available, and the entrance is completely free, which makes it perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking to enjoy a calm day outdoors. A great experience, you see the deer so close up. They literally walk past you. Signs say you cannot feed them despite people saying otherwise online. They can get scared if you get too close or make too much noise.

Went here three years ago, at that time it was allowed to feed the deers carrots and apples if you brought them with you. So this year when we came back with the goods we were surprised to see that it's not allowed anymore to feed the deers. I must say I can see why, three years ago we had walks for hours there and maybe saw two other people the whole time we were there and now it's pretty busy! Some deers will still come to you for a little pet on the head and they were very curious to see our little baby which was very cute. But we were not as popular as the last time without the carrots of course. We went there two days in a row, the first day was a public holiday in Denmark and I would not recommend visiting at the time of a holiday. It's way too busy to enjoy the park. The second day it was rainy at first but as soon the sun was shining it was getting crowded. Go in the early mornings or in the late afternoon to avoid that and really enjoy the park. Nonetheless, this park is beautiful. You have some beautiful spots where you can see the deers in the distance in there somewhat "natural habitat". With or without the deers this park is suitable for a beautiful walk with amazing views.

The Slogan "We make people happy" is 100% true. We was two adults and two Kids (age 12 and 16) on holiday in Denmark. The food was plentiful and tasted very delicious . Also the service was very nice. It was good wetter and the cafe was full. Nevertheless we got a table and could change the table After ordern.

The atmosphere at this place spread out to the street that’s way we went in, it was hard to resist. We hadn’t booked and it was quite a lot of people but they made room for us. The place was just as nice on the inside as the outside suggested. A mix of European cafe and pub. What’s not to love. They hade great staff, I think they made the best of what they had in terms of time and space. The menu was comprehensive and quite nice. Just the right mix of food you know and love no matter where you are from and danish delights. It was all to reasonable prices. I would say that the food itself could have used some more love. The waiting period was a little longer then you would like it to be and when the children got there burgers and fries there, where their fries already cold. The burgers they got didn’t taste Mitch but was quite thick and hard for kids to eat. (Mine 9&7). For me I had a Stjærneskud a traditional danish, prawn, smoked Salomon and battered fish filet sandwich. It was nice absolutely and generous in size, but not a sensation in anyway. I had a white wine to that, took a Riesling and had the misfortune that it was a sweet Riesling and not a dry crisp, didn’t realise that was still something that is in fashion, but that is also I know a matter of taste. My husband had nachos with chicken and was pleased but not over the moon. So all and all. This is the kind of place I would love to give a higher rating. They have so much going for them, and I hope to come back again and see the progresses.

Open earlier than most places around. Great for coffee and breakfast and right off the canal / close to sites. Super charming and very friendly staff who speak English well. Amazing food and plenty of seating. The inside is decorated and curated so creatively. Also, the bathrooms are above and beyond. They even have bidets and feminine products in the bathrooms in the event that you need one.

Very nice place to feel the city of Aarhus. I enjoyed all the sea food i had, really delicious 😋. I just didn’t like the beef tartar. Cocktails and beer was great. Should be visited. 👍

Lovely but small (service) museum (1 hour of reading and exploring everything), but most lovely thing is it's actually located on exact excavation spot, describing life in viking settlement, especially local one. With locations of craftsman, ramparts and how the local dug houses looked (with one replica).

Too small, no staff to help explain the place. Fully self guided. Mostly a satellite location for the moesgaard museum. The place is also quite dark, to protect some of the artifacts in the museum, so do take note if you are ever there. But generally you can give this place a miss. Most of the exhibits are in the pictures, so just save the money and buy yourself some souvenirs instead.

This museum was great at separating fact from fiction. Vikings were primarily fishermen and farmers. Exploring came as a natural extension of looking for new fisheries and fresh agricultural lands and climate.

The Viking Museum lives up to its name and then some. You will feel immersed in Viking lore walking through its halls, a large quantity of artifacts in here are in a truly impressive state of preservation. The bog bodies plus extensive captions make this a visit here an enriching anthropological experience.

Very small one room museum. Interesting info but not much to it. No guide or gift shop. Tickets are self purchased once you walk down the stairs but no one checks if you’ve bought one.

This place can be hard to miss as it's an anonymous door with a sign outside and the top is like a building site. Only stairs down to the room. It is more like a one room exhibition rather than an actual museum. Price was DKK30 but ticket machine was broken at the time so did not pay anything. A good initial setup but needs to be larger.

It is small, yes. But we spend ca 30 minutes there and it is a place where Vikings once lived. Not to expensive. Worth a short stop if you can spend time.

I went when it was cloudy, but it's really beautiful when the sunlight shines on this road. The distance is short, but it's fun to see the houses here.

This is a very pretty and unique looking street. It doesn’t take long to walk around and it wasn’t busy when I was here. If you are passing by I’d recommend checking it out.

Beautiful smørrebrød with a good range to choose from. I would also say that the beer is a highlight, and the staff was so helpful in choosing the right ones for us! Definitely delicious, and the place has a lovely atmosphere that combines trendy and rustic. The portion sizes are very good. Best picks were the mushroom and potato smørrebrød, unfortunately i thought the egg one was just slightly lackluster in flavour, but definitely not bad! They were all very tasty.

Great spot for lunch. They had several varieties of Smorrebord (?spelling) to choose from! The serving sizes are generous. Menu was in Danish (staff spoke English - like basically everywhere in Denmark we visited) but nothing Google translate couldn't handle.

I eat here regularly and it's great every single time! The only choices for dinner are the dish of the day and a vegetarian alternative 🐖🥬. The food is made from fresh high quality ingredients cooked in a delicate French inspired cuisine🥐🇫🇷. They also have quite an extensive selection of beer, wine and spirits available 🍷🍺. The atmosphere is cosy and informal, nearly always being filled with costumers 😌. Absolutely essential to visit this local gem 😎.

Great little place with very good food at very decent prices. Low ceiling, random furniture and decor gives the place a cosy living room feel. I had a mushroom toast, a rilette de canard and a a large craft beer for 165 dkr, a very reasonable lunch.

Web site promotes and gives the impression this place is a hive of activity. We turned up and found very little happening, workshops closed, locked doors and the advertised Czech photography exhibition incredibly badly presented. View from the bleak roof was ok.

Wish there were 6 stars possible. Amazing inspirational art space. Walked in off the street and was screenprinting 10 minutes later. Friendly, affordable and great sense of community and the arts together. Something inherently wonderful in a municipality that supports the arts and publuc access to those experiences. Just incredible facilities and technicians.

This is such a cool area! If you‘re into street art, skateboarding or related things this place is definitely for you. I enjoyed looking at all the different styles of art as well as exploring the creative buildings around the area. There was also music playing and i just enjoyed the overall feeling of being there

We were visiting Aarhus for the day on a cruise, and The Infinite Bridge was high on our must-see list—and it absolutely lived up to the hype! Getting there took some effort: we waited quite a while for the bus and then had to walk over a kilometre from the stop. But once we arrived, the setting made it all worth it. The bridge is located close to Marselisborg Castle (which we also loved), so it makes for a great double stop if you’re exploring the area. The bridge itself is such a cool and unique piece of architecture—a perfect wooden circle stretching out over the water in Aarhus Bay, offering 360° views of the coastline, city, and surrounding forest. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and really makes for some incredible photos. One surprising thing we learned is that it’s only up seasonally, assembled each spring and taken down in the fall—so if you’re visiting outside those months, it might not be there! Despite the bit of a trek, it ended up being one of our favorite stops in Aarhus, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys nature, architecture, or just a scenic place to relax by the water.

Beautiful. Wonderful. Take the Bus from the City Center, find the Bridge either along the shore or after a stroll through the nearby forest. A fantastic sight from the Bridge!

We loved the simplicity of this bridge. People brought their coffee or snacks down to the bridge and sat on the edge looking out over the water. It was very peaceful

I went there twice during my stay and it is a must if you’re discovering the area. Very peaceful, you can sit anywhere you like. A bit less pleasant where there is a lot of people on the bridge thought. Bring your swimsuit!

Been curious about this place. We went for drinks, the snack platter and the tapas platter. All super tasty, fresh, so much food and well priced. The young guy working there was very friendly. Nice relaxed place.

The vibe is so comfortable. The coffee is not the best but overall it’s a very good place to chill for a while with your book.

This is fantastic cozy cafe which serves a very great choice of beverages, and the very best homemade bread. My favorit place for morning coffee when in Århus.

I have come here occationally for many years. The atmosphere is always cozy and I definitely much prefer to read here than reading at DOKK1 or other modern libraries. They also stay open longer. I am usually more hyped by books I find in Faktum or secondhand stores, but the good thing is if you can't find a book you want to read then there is also a second hand store on the other side of the road. I also like their sandwiches, although after having tried the same time too many times I feel the need for a bit more variation. Great place to bring friends or to go alone to read/write.

The café is in two sections, the book store in the front and the wine room in the back. Very distinct atmospheres, both really nice though. A great place to read a book or hang out with a friend or two. Ordered the "sausage and cheese for two", which comes with a bottle of red or white wine. Very nice selection of meat and cheese. One thing you should be aware of though, buying two sausage and cheese plates and a bottle of wine seems to be cheaper than buying the set. That's not very nice and does subtract from the experience. Response to response: the wine we got was priced at 149, so 90+90+149=329. I understand that may have been a mistake by the staff.

We were four people having Tapas Plates, and they were actually fine, but served with the words - i´m sorry, but we have no more bread than this - and we had less than one person eat in 5 minutes. After this we never saw the server again. Nice place Fine house wine (we had white) OK servings except from bread. - but due to that we went on to a street food to get full 😏 (both boys and girls)
