Outdoor Activities
Poetto, also known as Poettu in Sardinian, is a vibrant beach area that stretches for about 8 kilometers from the characteristic rock formation Sella del Diavolo to Quartu Sant'Elena. This popular destination offers a variety of activities such as swimming, sunbathing, beach volleyball, and cycling along the beautiful promenade. Visitors can enjoy beach services, ice cream parlors, restaurants, and lively nightlife throughout the year.
I had a wonderful swim here in the clear water. The beach is 8 km long and is divided into free sections (my choice) and parts where you pay to enter and for sun-loungers, beach umbrellas, etc. I took the bus from the centre, buses PF & PQ get you there in 20 minutes for €1.30 (or €3.30 day ticket).

Beautiful scene, blue sea coast!😍It was lovely beach coast, nice walk. Can be windy, the water is not warm at all, bit fir me was nice from Ireland :)) Can hire 2sunbeds+umbrella for 24euro. Nice snacks, bats and beers on the beach all along. Friendly ppl. Revommend to visit.

Just a very busy beach with big crowds sections where you pay to stay or free of charge. Very long and nice sand.

Beautiful and huge beach. Safe enough, perfect if you have kids sandy and quiet water.. almost no waves.. There is plenty of free parking spot + free bathroom and showers.

Poetto is a 8km long beach with easy access by public transport, very nice and clean, calm water, amazing for kids, with restaurants along the beach. I found a small stretch of beach with family atmosphere. It's a great opportunity to enjoy a beach day if you are in Cagliari.
Kerstin G — Google review
Super beautiful and clear water. Lots of people, but that’s understandable. Really recommended, I would totally go again.

Long sandy beach for everyone. Bars, beach clubs, lifeguards on duty. Clear and shallow water 👍🏻

Bastione di Saint Remy is a significant structure featuring a limestone arch, pillars, terrace, and promenade for cultural events. It is located in the districts of Marina, Stampace, and Villanova. Visitors can explore various squares and outdoor areas for traditional celebrations. One can start their Cagliari tour by ascending the marble steps of Passeggiata Coperta or taking the free elevator from Piazza della Costituzione to reach Bastione San Remy.
Amazing scenery, views and a wonderful walk around here. Not too far from the port. Some fantastic history and if you have the buggy tour you can find out more as you go past which we did. Such a lovely area, we really enjoyed this start to our Italian holiday.
Beereed — Google review
This was a cool stop I walked to from the cruise port, it was uphill the entire time but the views were pretty cool. There are many stairs to get to the top, and once you get there there are several benches and some trees. Unfortunately none of the benches had shade.
Devon K — Google review
One more bastion. Built in the late 19th century on the ancient city walls. Connects the lower city to the historic Castello district. From the top, enjoy stunning panoramic views over the city, port, and sea. A perfect spot to relax and take photos.
Mykola K — Google review
It's a beautiful old structure with wonderful panoramic views of the city once you climb the elegant staircase. Just be warned it can be swarming with tourists taking Insta photos and TikTok videos which can detract from the experience. Don't forget to open your eyes and drink it all in ❤️
Adam G — Google review
Nice view, you can buy umbrellas or hats from vendors there. I recommend not going in sunny weather and during the lunch hours as it is very hot.

The view is astonishing. It is very close to the city center with good restaurants and coffee houses. Free access to the top – a must-visit if you are already in Cagliari.

Libarium Nostrum is a stylish rooftop bar located in Cagliari, offering stunning panoramic views of the city and the sea. Visitors can indulge in antipasti, pasta, and pizza while sipping on aperitifs as they take in the breathtaking sunset. The hilltop terrace provides an ideal setting for enjoying cocktails with a picturesque backdrop. This trendy spot is perfect for those seeking a memorable experience with delicious food and scenic vistas.
We were there during lunch time and didn’t have a reservation but still were able to find a table. If you would like to sit upper part where you can see the view, you should do a reservation as they separate that area for the reservations. The food and cocktails were amazing. The tomato pasta I had was very delicious. I didn’t like the tiramisu though. The service was amazing and very attentive. Definetely recommend here for lunch, dinner or drinks.
Simona T — Google review
The sunset view was amazing!! Best service we have had while visiting. Everything we ate was so tasty! My seven year old is a picky eater and she said the pasta was 10/10!
Raven C — Google review
First, the pros: a beautiful terrace with an impressive view. Now the cons: the staff, who don't even notice you. The food is delicious, but for the price, you expect more. You pay for the view, sure, but the food and atmosphere are totally not worth the price. I won't be repeating it.
Mateusz C — Google review
Beautiful views. Wonderful food. Service terrible - slow and quite grumpy. But tbh the food was worth it. Beware the 20% “tax” on the bill - we couldn’t work out what that was as we were not charged it anywhere else ……/
Sarah C — Google review
Lovely place with a great view. The staff is friendly and doesn’t switch to English when you try to speak Italian. The food tastes really good even tho it is a bit pricey! There isn’t a lot of vegetarian options if you are looking for some but the classic pasta with tomato sauce remains a good choice.
Thibaut — Google review
Some of the best food we ate in Sardinia. The view is amazing!! The service was also top notch. Definitely recommend.
Brad L — Google review
It's difficult to get a table without a reservation. The landlord is the kind who adds a 20.20 euro service charge to the bill. I didn't find a note on the menu, not even at libariummenu or did I overlook it? Discussion with the waiter was pointless, he referred me to the owner. In 7 weeks of travelling around Sardinia, this has never happened to me before. If a nice evening ends like this and you feel mocked, just 1 point. But it's not about the 20.20 but about the manner, otherwise I would have paid Coperto. Service: 3 stars only 1 head waiter for the terrace supported by 2 colleagues. The aperitif glasses were cleared away with the dessert plates. That's how I would have rated it otherwise: Overall: 4
Ray L — Google review
10/10 recommend to anyone wanting an amazing Sardinian Dinner. If you want views, atmosphere, authentic cuisine and excellent service then this is the spot. It's at the top of the hill with the best views and an easy walk to nearby cafes. The food had great presentation and perfect taste.

Nestled in the vibrant alleys of Cagliari, Il Merlo Parlante has been a beloved beer bar for over 40 years, attracting both students and seasoned beer lovers alike. This charming birroteca boasts an impressive selection of local Sardinian craft beers alongside international lagers and ales, many served hand-pulled to perfection. The extensive menu doesn't stop at drinks; with more than 50 varieties of panini and delicious nachos on offer, there's something to satisfy every craving.
Highly recommend. They have a large selection of beers and sandwiches. Ordered a Satana sandwich (not as spicy as you might think) and a local IPA on tap all together for €11.50. Amazing deal for lunch!
Denis B — Google review
This place is a historic spot with great sandwiches. The special thing about them is the wide variety of options with different combinations, all at very affordable prices. They also have an excellent selection of beers. I spent a lot of my youth here, and it’s a perfect choice for a quick, budget-friendly meal. Plus, it’s in a great location!
Michele M — Google review
They offer three pages of different sandwich options. Ours were delicious, and the prices are very reasonable.

Fantastic craft beer bar in the buzzy heart of Cagliari. Good for a quiet afternoon pint when other bars are closed. Good range of local beers, alongside two from McChoufe, Benediktiner Weiss, IPAs and stouts. Beer heaven!

Excellent establishment with a great history. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The beer is phenomenal and the panini menu is amazing. I tried the vegatiran panini and the ingredients sit perferclty. Superb location to hangout with friends over beer and panini. I highly recommend it!!

Bar
Caffè De Candia is a popular wine and spirits bar located in Sardinia, offering classic appetizers and drinks to its patrons. Visitors have the choice of enjoying their food and drinks indoors or making use of the outdoor area. What sets this bar apart is its unique feature - a barbershop located just behind it, providing an opportunity for a haircut while on vacation.
I couldn’t fault this place at all. We had such beautiful breakfast and coffees and loved the decor of the restaurant. Our server was so fantastic - thank you so much!
Melissa M — Google review
Breakfast food experience: Eggs Benedict - great crispy bacon avocado toast - beautiful presentation and very tasty combo with 1 poached egg and salmon. (My suggestion) Coffee priced modestly especially for location. Though cappuccino was not hot when served. Okay for me but maybe not for those who like it scolding hot. If staying up here I’d highly suggest it.
Andrew S — Google review
Pretty, but incredibly slow service and very overpriced, a tourist trap. €11 for a glass of low quality prosecco and not even any nuts, olives or crisps to accompany it - certainly not recommended.
Özge T — Google review
Brilliant relaxing place with very fresh delicious food. Coffee is very good. We were looked after by Molly who was an excellent host, extremely polite and number 1 in Sardinia for us.

Very poor service, we asked for avocado toast at 10:30 in the morning, they did not have any avodaco, then we asked for a toast with tomato and cheese, the waiter said okay we’ll make it, then we waited 20minutes and complained and 4 minutes later they brought a toast with salad and cheese, but at least we didnt have to pay for it.. also the matcha cappucciono was not good.. overally the place is really nice but the service was really disappointing.

The club's diverse program showcases popular jazz and blues artists, providing an inspiring atmosphere for visitors to enjoy original drinks while being entertained by spectacular shows.
Excellent Jazz Club, small but classy place, good live music, pleasant atmosphere, 100% recommended. Only for those who know. Professional world class place

Great live music venue. Enjoyed the band with a brilliant female singer, lead guitarist, bass guitarist, drummer and keyboard player.
Wendy K — Google review
We had an amazing time! I couldn't find anywhere which catered for dancing but we found it on our last night in cagliari. 10 euro entry but totally worth it. Drinks are reasonable but pretty strong. We had a live band which did a mixture of Italian and English covers. There were lots of singalongs and dancing and we all had so much fun

Monte Urpinu is a serene urban park located in Cagliari, offering a peaceful retreat from the city's hustle and bustle. The park features lush pine groves, tree-lined pathways, and a playground for children. It's also home to various wildlife such as cats, peacocks, geese, ducks, rabbits, and an array of bird species.
Very big and nice park with different birds and animals: goose, peacocks, turtles, cats. And it's totally free! The nature itself is also very beautiful, and it has good viewpoints from the top to catch sunset or just look at the city from the height.
Alesia G — Google review
Very nice and cool place. Some animals, clean paths, stunning views from the top, free car park along the street, free clean toilets in the middle of the park.
Waldek — Google review
If you're visiting Cagliari and seeking a picturesque and serene escape, look no further than Parco di Monte Urpinu! This park is an incredible afternoon experience, particularly in the spring when the lush greenery, blooming flowers, and enchanting water features create a true haven. Parco di Monte Urpinu offers something for everyone. Families with children will find various areas specifically designed for their enjoyment, while those without kids can still appreciate the park's beauty and tranquility. The well-kept paths and ample seating in the form of benches provide the perfect setting for a leisurely stroll or a quiet moment of reflection. Animal lovers, rejoice! This park is incredibly dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your furry friend along. But it's not just dogs that call Parco di Monte Urpinu home – the local wildlife is a true spectacle. The lake teems with friendly ducks and turtles that will practically eat out of your hand, making for a delightful and memorable encounter. While there are colonies of feral cats roaming around the park that may appear intimidating, rest assured they don't cause any trouble. However, the real stars of Parco di Monte Urpinu are the majestic peacocks that freely wander the grounds. These beautiful creatures allow visitors to get remarkably close for photographs, but remember, they are still wild animals and should not be touched. In summary, Parco di Monte Urpinu is a must-visit destination in Cagliari. Its beautiful landscapes, abundant wildlife, and family-friendly atmosphere make for a perfect afternoon outing. Don't miss out on the opportunity to experience this hidden gem – you won't be disappointed!

Absolutely lovely experience! We went twice during our 5-day visit. Such a variety of fish, seafood, cheeses, sausages, fruit, vegetables, meat, salami, antipasti, bottarga, honey, jams, etc. Walking through the aisles and pick products for you lunch, dinner or snacks is a fine Sardinian experience. We loved it and also had the best coffee in our entire lives! Fishermen open up oysters for you and you can eat them right there, that's what we did. It is a must-visit while in Cagliari! 😃

Located just a few minutes away from Poetto Beach, Twist Beach Club is the perfect spot to unwind by the sea. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this beach club offers a relaxing atmosphere with the option to enjoy live music performances. The menu features delicious meals and refreshing cocktails. Visitors can also take in stunning sea views while savoring their drinks. While some find the prices a bit high for certain dishes, many appreciate the friendly staff and beautiful location of this beachside establishment.
Twist Beach Club in Cagliari is a wonderful seaside restaurant with excellent service. I dined here for three days during my stay in Cagliari, enjoying the beautiful sea view and delicious food. I had the opportunity to try the tuna, and to my surprise, the portion was enormous—I could barely finish it. If you prefer your tuna raw inside, make sure to ask them not to overcook it. I also enjoyed the oysters, a fantastic octopus salad, and various cocktails while engaging with the waitstaff, who were genuinely kind, pleasant, and attentive. I highly recommend this place to all visitors to the city due to its proximity to the water, delicious dishes, great menu selection, and, of course, the warm and personal service.

I came to Cagliari from Porto Pino and after a long drive by car, train and city bus, I wanted to freshen up somewhere on a terrace and eat something...it was around 4pm, the kitchen was closed for an hour due to a shift, ok, I waited with a drink, no one even remembered to ask me to order after an hour, ok I managed to order grilled squid, they arrived amazingly fast, probably because it was a large squid that they cut into smaller pieces, it was super fried but unfortunately so tough that I could barely chew it, I have never eaten a worse grilled squid (and I have eaten a lot of them in my life) The worst were the flies, you simply cannot eat anything decently, it is horrible, maybe they should think about putting up sticky tape so that guests have at least a little peace from them The icing on the cake was when the staff at the cash register did not know what I was eating or drinking, all wrong...they charged me for the grilled cuttlefish (and maybe it was cuttlefish) and I ordered the squid on grill .. glass of white wine 5€ and I ordered Vermentino 4.50€ It's not about 50 cents but about ignorance They also brought me some toast that I didn't order and then he wanted to charge me for the same toast. As a side dish, I got celery, carrots, and radishes without any preparation (picture attached) as if I were some kind of animal. All in all zero points I've been here for 4 more days and I definitely won't be back here nor would I recommend this place to anyone. Total disaster

The best beach clubs we have ever visited around Poetto! We have tried 3. And this is the best one. We would like to highlight the service. They are fast, all smiles and very accommodating. We are a family of 4 with a toddler so comfort is what we’re looking for the most in a restaurant.

Perfect place to enjoy food and drinks right beside the beach. The staff is very friendly, the seafood we ordered (sea bass, fried calamari and grilled prawns) was great, the sea bass when eating it was melting in your mouth. Definitely recommend it for anyone coming to spend the day in Poetto beach!

Scenic spot
Public beach
Sella del Diavolo, also known as the 'Saddle of the Devil,' is a saddle-shaped promontory in Cagliari, Sardinia. The area is characterized by a series of hills formed by calcareous sediments left by the sea's repeated intrusion. The modern city has developed between these hills and the sea to the south and southeast.
Nice hike for most everyone (once you arrive). Public transport will take you about 2 miles away you would have to walk the rest or via other transportation. For the adventurous folk you can climb down the back side.
J W — Google review
Hiking Sella del Diavolo this summer was an unforgettable experience. From the start, the salty sea breeze and the scent of wild herbs set the mood for adventure. The trail, though a bit challenging under the sun, was worth every step. As I climbed higher, the views became more breathtaking—endless turquoise waters, boats dotting the coast, and Cagliari in the distance. Reaching the top felt like standing on the edge of a dream. After the hike, I cooled off in the crystal-clear, warm sea below, a perfect reward. Floating there, gazing up at the cliffs, I felt pure happiness. Sella del Diavolo is a must-visit—a place where nature’s beauty leaves you speechless. If you're in Sardinia, don’t miss it!

Nice and not so difficult walk but amazing view point
Gasper M — Google review
Even ideal for an late afternoon run A nice promenade to the nearby sleeping lady mountain range. There is no official path to reach the peak, as the military base blocks the entire northern side. But following locals late afternoon, there are few wild path to lead you to the Sela del Diavolo, one of the ruins on this hill range. Searching for a path to reach to the peak, which seem to be the “official” hiking route, turned out to be non-existent. Ventured along the miliary base where I found a wild narrow path thru the forest to reach the top stone plateau. Fabulous view, 360 degrees … with some left over Roman Ruins and the famous nuraghe buildings, main type of ancient megalithic accommodation / towers dating back to the Nuragic Age between 1900 to 730 BC. Don’t miss to crowl thru some spikey cactuses to reach the chalk-cave, called Sella del Diavolo. There are approximately 7,000 nuraghes left in Sardinia today. Turning time back 4,000 years ago amongst such a scenery is truly a unique experience. The official path, flatter and easier-to-walk path, is leading to the Calamosca Beach. It was a Sunday, so the Disco tunes and party was on early afternoon till late night. Long queues, traffic jam and many happy party-lovers. Walking back to the Poetto beach took like 4 – 5 km … definitely a detour, but no other choice, unless driving by motorcycle or car.

Absolutely amazing place... just 20 minutes easy climbing from Calamosca side. Beautiful view, fresh air and feeling of history... 100% to visit! P.s. from the top i cant see the tiburones...

Amazing views on this 4.1km loop hike, worth the effort. Some moderately challenging sections on the full loop, but the zig zag trail section is more straight forward. Many exposed sections of high cliff along loop trail at eastern side so caution is required.
Ciaran O — Google review
Incredible view! You must visit this place if you are in Cagliari! On sundays there is a bus (number 5/11) comes here very frequent from Cagliari center. The hike is medium level about 30-40min to reach the top. It totaly worths!
Cansel K — Google review
We went there early morning to have a walk and there were not so many people. It is a peaceful and relaxing place where you can spend some time away from the city but not too far away. Reaching the top was the best part where you get a panoramic view of Poetto lungo mare and some part of Cagliari, part of the Cala Mosca on the right. The climb was not too steep and there are some tables and a covered structure (like a concrete cottage) where you can have a picnic located on the top.

The dishes vary frequently and feature weekly or monthly specials. With its pleasant and welcoming atmosphere, Old Square is an excellent choice for a casual lunch or dinner with friends. It's the perfect place to linger over drinks with friends, offering international cuisine, typical Italian dishes, sandwiches, and grilled meats.
We got this big platter with different meats, it was great! Too big for 2 of us (it said for 3, I missed it) but totally worth it -- the steak was definitely our favourite. Waiters were very nice and location is perfect.

The hotel receptionist suggested this place on our arrival for a Sunday lunch. Well it was a gastro pub, not exactly the best welcoming food for the first day in Sardegna. It has the atmosphere of a typical pub. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but the food except for the starter wasn't anything to write home about. The burger meat wasn't seasoned and the burger bun fell apart and was very soggy. Also quite pricey for pub food too. A pint, a burger and a started cost €35 per person 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦‍♂️
Pierre P — Google review
We got there randomly, as the place we primarily chose didn’t have space and we’re so glad we did! Extra friendly staff, amazing atmosphere with huge screens allowing people from every angle of the room to see the game that’s on. If you’re fan of truffles, I’d recommend “the fire burger”, it was amazing. Although, burgers are really huge (this one had 2 thick meat parts, lots of toppings and side dish by choice) so make sure you go there really hungry.
Maja K — Google review
The food wasn’t the best. We had burgers with fries, but both of us found the amount of sauce in the burgers overwhelming. On the other hand, the beer – their Old Square – was very good. The staff made an effort to speak English, which we really appreciated.
Iva S — Google review
Nice location but the staff are very slow when it comes to being served outside. I would recommend that when you order your first drink and it arrives...order your next one so it should come when you have finished the first. I think more staff are needed.

I visited Old Square in Cagliari around 8 PM on October 3rd and was really disappointed by the service. The male manager on duty was rude from the start, and the staff were slow and inattentive. Although the burger itself was good, the second drink I ordered never arrived. When I asked about it, the waitress suddenly claimed she didn’t speak English, which felt dismissive. I ended up paying and leaving early. With so many welcoming places to eat and drink in Cagliari, I’d strongly recommend choosing somewhere else that values its customers.

Il Birrificio di Cagliari is Sardinia's first brew pub, offering a light and airy space to sample a variety of craft beers brewed on site. From traditional options like IPA and stout to more experimental flavors such as myrtle berry-infused smoky beer, there's something for every palate. The bar and restaurant also incorporate beer into many dishes on the menu, including desserts like Tiramisu with Casteddu beer and cocktails like the Spritz Hell.
We loved our visit here. Marco behind the bar was so friendly and helpful. We had a taster tray with 5 beers and he carefully explained each one. We then choose our favourite for a large glass. Nice to have beers brewed locally. We didn't have food but thd menu was fabulous and they use alot of beer in the food. Highly recommended 👌

Out of the centre but ready to get to with various buses running up the busy road (not easy to cross!) Beers were based on standards but were impressive with good typicity and flavours, the prickly pear wheat was, surprisingly, lovely... Like rose petals! There's a beer tasting tray available, and there were 8 beers on tap when I visited, all well made and tasty. The lovely copper brewkit is visible through the windows in the bar, which is much bigger than I expected! Looks to do really good food but I was too early...

I use to come to have dinner with my family from many years in this local and we usually go out totally satisfied. In the historic Castello quarter of Cagliari, Italy stands the impressive Torre dell'Elefante, a 14th-century limestone tower adorned with a sculpted elephant. Closed for renovation works for some time, it has now reopened to the public. Built as part of the city's medieval defenses by the Pisans, it offers visitors memorable views over the port and sea. The tower is an important piece of medieval engineering and provides a glimpse into Cagliari's rich history.
This is a huge, impressive tower that incredibly was built in 1307. It would give you incredible views over Cagliari ... if it wasn't closed for renovation work (July 2025). Still good to look at from outside though.
David S — Google review
The Torre dell'Elefante (1307) stands on the ramparts of Cagliari (Sardinia), Italy. The tower was built during a period of Pisan domination to defend against the threat of an Aragonese invasion. The tower defended the western entrance to the Quartiere Castello of medieval Cagliari. A retractable draw gate controlled access to the medieval city from the lower town. The sculpture of an elephant to the left of the gate gave the tower its name.

The Parco Naturale Molentargius Saline is a vast urban wetland featuring both fresh and saltwater ponds, offering a diverse array of bird species and scenic paths for visitors to explore. Spanning over 1,600 hectares, this park boasts delicate yet efficient ecosystems that support protected plant and animal species, including the iconic pink flamingos. It's highly recommended for nature enthusiasts seeking an immersive experience within its unique environment.
The park is huge, we took advantage of the tour, for which we paid 25 euros. It turned out that we were lucky and we were the only people for that hour, so we had a private tour. The guide was great, he told very interesting stories. We had access to parts that are closed to regular visitors, we were given binoculars and we could admire the flamingos through a telescope. There were thousands of them and the view of them flying above us was amazing. It is definitely worth spending this money.
Martyna R — Google review
We visited a park known for its flamingos. Be aware that there's absolutely no shade, and the walk under the sun can be quite long. You can also do the route by bike, depending on your preference. We took the shorter trail and it still took us almost two hours. I highly recommend bringing plenty of water and a hat, as there are no refreshment options along the way. The flamingos can only be seen from a distance. If we had been better prepared for the sun, it would have been a beautiful walk (or ride) along the river or canal and past salt basins. But I guess I was expecting a bit more from the experience.
Denisa B — Google review
We rented 2 push bikes for an independent tour. No guides. You can rent them for 2 hours for a nominal fee. It's free to walk. Bus tours are available. Takes you to some restricted areas. Friendly staff and helpful. Best to take water and a hat. It was warm and exposed but breezy. The office has a little coffee shop and toilet facilites. Beautiful and quite scenic. Very few Flamingos were left in the colony as they have started their migratory journey. We were lucky to have spotted a few Flamingos across the parking lot before entering the park. They were mostly white with a little toycb of flamingo 🦩 pink on their wings. We visited end of Aug. I believe best would be to go during summer. It was still worth the visit. We would go again as we enjoyed the bike ride along the scenic sea salt harvesting ponds and so many other birds and turtles etc.
The G — Google review
We were looking forward to seeing flamingos. We could see flocks on our way from the airport and expected to see many more and from smaller distance. We were seated on a small electric van with 10 seats. Each participant was given a binocular and a large one was carried and installed by our guide. Unfortunately, her English was very poor. That was surely a pity because she alternated Italian and English explanations and she passionately said so much in Italian (we couldn't understand) and very little in English. Seeing birds in binoculars was exciting. I recommend buying tickets online as on the first occasion we got here there were no places left and we had zo leave ... Still I am not sure if it was worth 25 euros/person. We drove mostly in publicly accessible places. Probably I would recommend renting bikes and binoculars.
Richard S — Google review
Flamingos!!:-)) Very kind staff, great English, you can visit for free and see flamingos, you can also rent a bike for 10€/2hours. There was also a bus / guided option i think. I did the free visit by foot which was easily walkable. And after five minutes I already saw many flamingos 🦩 🥰 great experience! Remember to bring a hat and a bottle of water if you go during the hotter season. Inside the info point there’s also a cafe with very friendly staff, coffee, coke etc and even pistachio croissants!🥐 :-) 100% recommend if you want to see flamingos in their Cagliari habitat of salinas :-)

This park is the biggest disappointment ever! Don't go there, it is waste of time and energy. Map at the entrance is very missleading. Many routes are closed and from view points you have view to bushes... There is only one point from which flamingos are visible but there are very far away. Photos here on google seem like you are going to be next to flamingo, but there were simply done with good photocamera...

I was pleasantly surprised as the current rating is 4.0. It was definitely much better than that! The food was delicious. I had the omelette and a pistachio croissant and both were perfect! The staff were all so lovely and smiley. The atmosphere was spectacular. No complaints at all. Can’t wait to come back if I ever visit Cagliari again.

I recently visited Pirani for breakfast and enjoyed the overall experience. The atmosphere is cozy and classic, with a charming Italian touch that makes it a pleasant spot to relax. The staff were friendly, and the presentation of the food was simple yet inviting. I ordered a cappuccino and a bomba filled with cream. The bomba was fresh, soft, and delicious, with a generous amount of creamy filling that made it a highlight of the visit. However, the cappuccino was average—it could have been creamier and more balanced. For the price, I expected slightly better quality, particularly for the coffee. While Pirani feels slightly overpriced, it’s still a nice place to visit for a classic Italian breakfast. The ambiance and pastries make it worth stopping by, but the coffee left room for improvement. Overall, a charming café for a quiet, enjoyable meal.

I like this classic old style Sardinian bar 🍽️. It’s kind of expensive, but the service and the quality of the food matches the price. The caffe macchiato is very good, the desert is above average level.

Loved the local vibe here. You can have coffee and / or pastries at the counter or at a table. If you want table service, you just wait at your table. Then you pay with the lady / man sitting by the door. They have washrooms. Service was very slow and the server dropped our coffee on our table as if it was burning hot and there was fire in the cafe and he had to run for his life. But we enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. Located in the heart of the old town within the il Castello complex, this opulent palace now hosts exhibitions, concerts, and public visits.
Well worth a visit and close by Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta e Santa Cecilia and a fantastic panoramic view of the city and port. 3 euros for adults and kids go free. Open 7 days a week. Clean bathrooms. Get your tickets to the right as you enter. Attendants check all guests who ascend the stairway.

A beautiful palace, a piece of history unexpectedly discovered during the city stroll. Some information about the kings of Sardinia, historical facts make the place quite interesting. We were in summer, it was not busy.

A nice small palace, I love the chandeliers and one of the best view of the city. I was quite surprised that nobody was there. You could see here the new emblem of the Sardinia flag, to be honest I prefer the old version. For only €3 the tickets, deserve the visit. As well is a good thing to do when the city is so hot 🥵

The Palazzo Regio is a highly recommended stop if you’re in Cagliari, especially for those who love history, architecture, and elegant interiors. It’s not just a museum but a living historical site that tells the story of Sardinia’s long and complex past. If you’re already visiting the Cathedral of Santa Maria, the Palazzo Regio is the perfect complement — nearby, visually and culturally connected, and it enriches the experience of the old town.

At only €3 for entry this was a lovely break from the sun. A beautiful palace inside and some good information in English about all the rooms. There are nice clean toilets here for guests too. An interesting visit.

We only had a short time to look around and it was rather busy. But the location, views and history here is simply breathtaking. Id recommend the buggy tour to get up here if you struggle with steep hills. But there are steps to manage also. Fantastic and we can't wait to come back to see and do more.

The building today is the prefecture of Cagliari. From outside it is very attractive. It was once a royal palace and it is possible to visit some of its historical rooms.

Osteria del Forte is a restaurant located in Palazzo Doglio, offering contemporary Italian cuisine with a focus on local ingredients. The menu features unique dishes like cacio e pepe pasta with sea urchins and a tasting menu including sea bass sausage with red prawns and bottarga. Guests have praised the friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere, and superb food and drink selections for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Excellent food and service. We ate at 2030 which was a little early so was a bit quiet however as the restaurant is in the Piazza and shares the space with other restaurants it was fine. There is a good selection to choose from for each course and plenty of options for wine. All the food was served hot and beautifully presented. All the staff were attentive and knowledgeable especially Mary and Silvio. Would highly recommended.

I am obsessed with this restaurant : the foods are the best in class, the service is top notch, everything they do just makes you feel happy, the environment is so clean and pleasant with music and lights. Their standards define luxury. I will come back to this hotel and its restaurant every year for some days to repeat this unforgettable experience, life is beautiful here.

We stayed at the hotel, so we decided to have dinner here on our first night. It’s a stylish, upscale restaurant with excellent service. We started with the scallops—absolutely delicious! Perfectly cooked, tender, and paired with a great sauce. The steak was also quite good. However, I found the sea urchin pasta a bit underwhelming—lacking in flavor and seasoning. The tiramisu, on the other hand, was excellent and a great way to finish the meal. The staff were very attentive and took great care of us throughout the evening. Plenty of seating both inside and outside. Overall, definitely worth a try—especially for the service and standout dishes!

What a wonderful restaurant! The staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming from our very first visit and throughout our entire holiday. We stayed nearby at the Palazzo Doglio and enjoyed breakfast here several times as well as lunch and dinner on several occasions. The atmosphere was absolutely gorgeous and the selections of food and drinks were superb. They really went out of their way to make our stay in Sardinia a special one. A special thanks to Mathilde, Daniel, and everyone else on the staff who served us with high quality service and attention. I will be sure to recommend to all my friends to dine at your restaurant on their stay in Sardinia! Grazie mille !

They booked us in for a 225 euros per person New Year's Eve evening with a sizeable deposit that we payed beforehand. A 6-course meal was planned with a toast at midnight with local sparking wine and panettone. We arrived at 8:30PM and it started out well: we had our amuse-bouche and some drinks. But then nothing else for 2 HOURS... Needless to say we didn't get out Primi before midnight and ended up eating the Main dish past 1AM and took the dessert to go. When we did get our food, the waiting staff seemed utterly confused, bring out the dishes in the wrong order and to the wrong tables as some guests got the same dish twice. The plates had the sauces smudged with waiters' fingerprints on the edges and my wine glass was cracked and the replacement one had sticky residue on the bottom. I will say that the food itself was good, but unfortunately it doesn't quite sit right when you have waited for it for 2 hours. The waiting staff and the maitre d' were arguing and bickering by the tables throughout this whole SNL sketch level of chaos. When we explained that this was not what we were expecting, the host offered us a discount and was apologetic, but this will certainly not make up for ruining a significant portion of such a special evening. As this was a special holiday in Cagliari for me and my boyfriend and our first NYE together, we wanted to treat ourselves with a nice fancy evening that was certainly not within our usual budget. In this sort of establishment, we certainly did not plan to spend the evening wondering when we would get our food and toasting the New Year without having eaten a proper dinner. I understand that these kind of things can happen, but at THIS PRICE and the LEVEL that this place presents itself as (the restaurant of a 5-star hotel), this is truly unacceptable. In my opinion, this restaurant should not offer such an elaborate menu for so many people and present itself at this level since it is NOT up to meeting that standard at the present moment. If you are planning a special dinner, I would advise you to consider a different establishment if you don't want to waste your money and expectations.

The restaurant is part of the Palazzo Doglio. It's location on the central court is a beautiful setting both for breakfast and dinner. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet (included in the room rate) has a nice selection, with additional dishes for purchase from the menu. The dinner menu offers a wide selection of beautifully presented dishes. I thoroughly enjoyed my meals here.

Great coffee, great food, great atmosphere, and amazing service. We had breakfast and lunch here every day of our stay. The waiters were extremely welcoming, warm, and sweet - even when we ordered cappuccino after lunch, which is a disgrace for the coffee culture here! Castello di San Michele Cagliari, a 12th-century fortified castle, now serves as the City Center of Art & Culture. The area has a rich Christian history dating back to the 3rd century, with Bishop Lucifer of Cagliari being exiled for his opposition to a sentence at the Synod of Milan. The castle district is the oldest and highest part of Cagliari, offering visitors a glimpse into the city's ancient past.
Nice castle and park. Stunning views from the top. Many benches 😊
Waldek — Google review
Very small castle located on the highest part of Cagliari. The walk up to the castle is a KILLER, and there is no shade at all or someplace to sit, so if visiting during spring/summer, water is a necessity. I would suggest going by car as there is a parking area just a few meters away. Having said all that, the view up the hill is marvellous. The castle itself is very small, and it showcases life during variois periods, especially what people used to wear along the centuries.
Dana F — Google review
Castle is on the top of the almost tree-less hill / dont take the hike in the middle of sunny day! ;) The views are top and the walk from the bus took us around 20mins to the top including taking pictures. The castle entrance fee was 4E and additional 2E for guide. Our guy was David - and the be honest without the guide it is pointless to go there, since all descriptions are in italian (unless you speak italian of course). We enjoyed the visit and many interesting information about the castle and sardinia itself. The building is not that big, so dont expect like huge fortress or so.

Red Fox Kitchen & Pub since 1981 is a charming gastropub located in Cagliari's historical neighborhood. The cozy atmosphere, combined with an extensive beer selection and excellent service, makes it a great spot for a late meal. The menu offers a nice variety of options, including vegetarian dishes, all made with locally sourced ingredients. Customers have praised the quality and presentation of the food, particularly the T-bone steak and desserts like cheesecake.
Beautiful food. From the details you can see that the owner really loves his/her restaurant. The menu is written in a way full of love and passion. The dishes are beautifully presented. The restaurant is densely decorated. If there is anything I need to pick to improve, I would say the washrooms. Otherwise it’s such a wonderful experience!

This is a lovely Gastropub with great food and excellent service. This is a great place to go for a late meal. A little bit out of the main centre but worth a trip. They serve a wide variety of beer. Food is fairly reasonably priced. Paid £20 euros for a big tuna steak and £16 euros for a rump steak. Desserts were excellent, 5 euros for a very big cheesecake and they will do any topping. All local ingredients, freshly made to a great standard. Would highly recommend.

Tuvixeddu necropolis, located on a large hillside, is an archaeological site featuring Carthaginian and Roman burial chambers. This ancient burial ground, over 2,500 years old and built by the Phoenicians, showcases unearthed decorations and riches from the site. The Romans also established their own nearby burial ground.
I stumbled upon the Necropolis simply because it was near my accommodation. Entrance is free although there is a friendly receptionist - who kindly let me leave a large bag at reception while I wandered about. The large site is full of graves dating back to the 6th century BC together with the quarry where some of the stones were presumably unearthed. An amazing, strange place
David S — Google review
The site is disappointing as a historical attraction. While the green areas are well maintained and it’s nice for a short walk, the archaeological site itself is neglected. Some paths are closed, there is no information about the history, and it feels more like a park for dog walking than a place of cultural importance. A treasure like this deserves much better care and attention.

Free with no wait. Hot and very little shade when we visited in June. Interesting how deep burial holes were crafted through solid rock. Updated signs can be easily read. Bring water. Bathrooms on site have potable water.

A culturally interesting place. It also has a nice view of the city being on top of a hill. It is vast and we couldn't visit a portion because the path was being repaired. There is so much history behind this unique place that is free of charge and worth the visit as it has a quiet state and you'll be able to learn something extra about this Italian island. The best time to visit it is in the afternoon when the sun is setting and gives a nicer hue to the rock.

The Cork Irish Pub, located in Via Dante, Cagliari, is a popular spot with great personnel and a relaxed atmosphere. It's known for its wide selection of drinks and moderate prices. Despite the language barrier, the friendly staff make visitors feel welcome.
This was my go-to every night for my week there. The lads who work there are all friendly, helpful and happy to make you feel included and not just like a customer. It's like hanging out with friends. The owner also owns the pizzeria next door, and you can bring the pizza into the pub. It was the best pizza of the six I had while in the city. Amazing place, and possibly the best clock I've seen on my travels (shown in photo). Can't wait to go back.
J M — Google review
We have chosen this place for dinner as per a recommendation I saw on Tiktok. I was looking forward to trying the horse burger. We arrived early, and the place was empty. It wasn't an issue as the place looked clean, and they had good music running. We ordered some beers and onion rings. Of course we went for the horse burger "Bojack". The onion rings were delicious, hot, and so soft. The burger was ok, I mean, I couldn't taste the meat so well because there was a lot of ricotta cheese, and they added mayo. I wish they added something a little bit more sour so it cuts the grease of the meat. The meat wasn't cooked well done.. I don't know if this is how it is supposed to be, but it wasn't that wow. The waitress didn't speak much English, but luckily we know a little bit of Italian. Overall, it was a nice place to have dinner as the interior is cute as a pub, the only down thing is that they don't offer sauce for the fries.. only a few sachets that I personally think are not enough for two people. I do recommend trying it out if you want to go for something special for dinner.

The Monumental Cemetery of Bonaria is located in Cagliari, on a limestone hill with tombs and charnel houses. It was inaugurated in 1829 and designed by Damiani and Cima architects. The cemetery features sculptures from Sardinian and Italian artists, showcasing various styles from Neoclassical to Art Nouveau. The site holds historical significance as it was built on an ancient graveyard used during Carthaginian-Roman and early-Christian times.
A fascinating way to spend a morning in Cagliari, avoiding the midday heat (it closes most days at 1300). Some huge family tombs up high, looking down on those below. Docile cats snooze away and lizards scurry between the graves. An insight into the Sardinian way of life and death. Free entry.
Ganu G — Google review
Very big cemetery with a rich history. There are many interesting graves and statues that are worth seeing. It’s a pity that many of them are not taken care of. A few of them have even collapsed. The upper floors of the cemetery were closed when I was there. Still, I recommend visiting this monumental cemetery!
Vlad M — Google review
You can learn a lot about a place by visiting cemeteries. Art, culture, society, religion... You name it. When coming across this cemetery we decided we wanted to visit it within seconds. I dropped by on a Saturday, asking for a tour after reading on Google that it is recommended to join one. I was asked to come back tomorrow. After a quick stroll (which further intrigued my interest) I went home to come back the following day. The next day a young woman greeted us and gave us a free tour in English. She didn't mind that we were just two people. She showed us around and told us about the history of the cemetery and how it is connected with art and Cagliari's citizens. She told us about the tragedy of little Efisino, the sad destiny of two early pioneers of Sardignias feminism and the mysterious disappearance of one of Italy's famous sculptors - amongst many other things. Also she advised us on how to best handle the gulls that use the cemetery as a breeding place and can become quite defensive of their young. A survival skill that I'm sure will come in useful, sooner or later. 🐤 Thank you again for this amazing (free!!) tour! ❤️ The graveyard itself is mesmerising. It lies within walking distance of the city center, yet offers a unique calmness, that stands in stark contrast with the buzzing city life. When visiting you can feel the urgency of restoration. As a mere visitor all I can say is that I hope that there will be ways of funding the restoration and preservation of this place. Letting it fall apart would be a huge loss, not only to Sardignia, but to history in general.

The Monumental Cemetery of Bonaria lies on the homonymous hill. The cemetery opened in 1829 and boasts sculptures of Sardinian artists as well as from the rest of Italy, who were active from the middle of the 19th to the early 20th century. The styles vary from the Neoclassical, Realism to the Symbolism and Art Nouveau.

We had a fantastic experience at a cocktail bar located in the heart of Cagliari. The drinks were exceptional, and we were pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary finger food. I highly recommend this place.

I’ve had the best bar experience here. They make really good cocktails. The staff made our night, so attentive and friendly, my partner had a sore throat and they made her a really delicious hot chocolate and get her some biscuits and marshmallows. I loved it here. The atmosphere was just right. I would highly recommend to everyone to come here and get a drink!

Probably we didn’t get what the place is set for. Drinks and cocktails. They are praised for that, and apparently deservedly so. However we were also hungry and the pinsa ordered had taken ages. After patiently waiting with two toddlers, we complained, received a vague explanation but waited even longer for something extremely simple to prepare and serve

Nestled in the heart of Cagliari, Saudade stands as a unique culinary gem that beautifully marries Japanese and Brazilian flavors. This first-of-its-kind restaurant invites diners to embark on a delightful journey through its innovative fusion menu, where the subtlety of Japanese cuisine meets the vibrant colors and bold tastes of Brazil. The concept of Nikkei burajiru-jin fusion cuisine has roots dating back over a century, stemming from the arrival of Japanese immigrants in Brazil.
A beautiful dinner spot in the Plazzo Doglio quarters. The service is attentive and carefully executed, they were kind to bespoke a meal for my young children. Decor is stunning and food is decadent. Highly recommended.
Priti P — Google review
Wow! The decor, the service, the food...all equally terrific! Our server was attentive and friendly, and the chef was accommodating and fun to talk with. You are able to customize your own sushi rolls if you ask the chef at the sushi bar, and he is more than happy to comply! He came over to speak with us afterwards, and the next day he saw us walking around Barcelona, remembered us, and went out of his way to come say hello. The food is some of the best Japanese we've had in a long time. My wife doesn't typically order gyoza, but did so at the recommendation of our server, and said that it was the best gyoza she has had in her life.
Christopher G — Google review
We stayed at the hotel and decided to try the sushi restaurant. The atmosphere is nice and the pricing is reasonable for the setting. Service was generally good, though at times it took a while to get the staff’s attention. The sushi and sashimi were fresh, but the sashimi slices were thinner and smaller than expected. Sushi rolls came with four pieces per order, which may not suit everyone looking for larger portions. Overall, it’s a decent option if you’re staying at the hotel or nearby, but portions may feel small for the price. Not sure if I’d come back
Quỳnh L — Google review

We loved it! A very friendly bartender with comfortable seating and great vista of Cagliari. The drinks were reasonably priced and delicious. We would not hesitate to come back again especially good weather. If you are visiting Sardinia definitely stop for a Negroni or glass of wine in the summer months.

Waited 45 minutes for a waiter to take our order. Beer was served with warm glasses. My beef was served 5 minutes before the potatoes arrived, and my girlfriend received her food without the dip that was supposed to be served on the side. There were no locks on the toilets, and no soap or paper towels for cleaning your hands. The food was mediocre at best. Except for a great view this restaurant has got nothing. Hands down the worst place I've ever eaten. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Restaurant
Il fico d'India is a charming bar located in a perfect spot between the Molentargius wildlife park and a dog-friendly beach. The cocktails are delicious and reasonably priced, while the snack food is also tasty. Visitors can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and great views. It's an ideal place to grab morning coffee or indulge in some seafood near the beach.
Perfect location for a lovely bar. The people that worked there were lovely, the cocktails were delicious, came quickly, and were very reasonably priced. The snack food during the day was also tasty. The bar is sandwiched between two key locations: a path leading to the Molentargius wildlife park (which also has a bus stop, very convenient) and the beach, but specifically the section of beach where dogs can be let off their leads and run and play freely. It's a lovely vibe there. Cannot recommend it enough.
Alexander M — Google review
As tourists who do not speak Italian, we did not feel the welcoming or inclusive atmosphere we anticipated, especially as members of the LGBTQ+ community actively seeking to support local businesses in all our travels throughout the world. The combination of inconsistent service, the minimal salad offering, and the seating disparity contributed to a feeling of being undervalued compared to local clientele. Based on these two experiences, we regretfully cannot recommend this to fellow tourists seeking a reliably inclusive and consistent fine dining experience with equal consideration for seating, especially during entertainment nights. We will not be returning during the remainder of our trip. We hope management considers these points for improvement regarding tourist experience and service consistency.
Samuel B — Google review
Great little club at night, and a sheltered spot during the heat of the day. The food is nice but over priced, and the drinks took forever to arrive. The staff are certainly charismatic and friendly but when one is hungry, the sometimes clumsy relationship between front of house and kitchen staff meant that information was having to be checked, rechecked and ultimately costing too much money and time for the fuss. At night however, this place has a much better vibe, I guess because more are drinking and conveniently unwinding. The drag shows were fun, entertaining and occasionally interactive. What fun. I highly recommend it. It is not high end cabaret, nor of exceptional quality, but there is bucket loads of heart. And it was wonderful to see.
Chris B — Google review
We had a great time and loved that they stand in solidarity with Pale.stine, but we would've liked to see them stop serving brands linked to apart.heid like Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Fanta... alternatives exist! Would definitely recommend the venue though.
Álvaro G — Google review
Such a shame we didn't research deaper into the reviews, looks like each time a bad review is placed it is covered up by regulars making out this venue is a 5 star rating. Or maybe you have to be a local and they love being treated like crap! After reviewing the last 5 years 1 star rateings it is obvious this venue has not modified it's service standards. You would think that after 5years and listening to the complaints and improving sincere reviews they then further intimidate the person for their honesty, as in my partners case, absolute lies and telling him "we don't want you back" after he had already said we will never come back! The leason before wasteing our money and time, always read the bad reviews first, and do not bother with this venue, as in 5years it still has not learnt what good customer service is... Such a shame as this business, with good customer service, would be a goldmine with it's location alone. Well, we will not be back dispite it is the only gay venue to eat and drink in Cagliari. We are a gay couple and visited this venue twice for dinner and a drink to enjoy and support the local gay scene as we do in all countries we visit. The service was very slow with meals taking up to an hour and longer to be delivered after ordering. We queried items on our bill as we didn't realise you have to pay extra for condiments to place on your salad, which comprised of lettuce with no dressing, plus watch the bill as other things seem to be added that we didnt understand or were not explained to us as we expected to pay a certain amount but when we paid the bill it was always much more. Such as adding bread, when we didn't recieve any ect.
Arie R — Google review
Wish we read reviews before trying to go here. We waited at a table for half an hour then finally someone came over to tell us all tables were reserved and we had to go. We asked if it was OK to stand (plenty of empty space - and empty tables) but were told we'd have to stand on the beach. It was raining. We left disappointed but not thinking much of it, but after seeing these other reviews, we felt we should reiterate this is not a place for tourists.

One of the worst experience I have ever seen, been to this place for the first time and it's been incredible seeing how discriminatory the bouncers are, also considering the conditions these people do the their job in, without a uniform and high on coke most def. Me and 2 friends went there for their zona trap gig, we turned up dressed up normally, one casual, one in Adidas track suit and one in a full trap outfit (as advertised by their flier to not dress elegant), COMPLETELY SOBER. 20 people possibly on the queue and after 1 hour and half of seeing people passing in front of us, (mainly women as the bouncers kept saying "we need more women", but also loads of clearly wasted kids) they had the courtesy of simply closing the entrance well after 2 hours we were there literally in front of them chewing their jaws out. Never seen a more ridiculous and discriminatory way of dealing with crowds, and this coming from a security steward from UK. U really need to up your game if you wanna call yourself a serious business.

Lifetime experience! We are a tourist from India and shocked to see our car was missing in that lane. We panicked for a while and even the emergency number could not help us. Then we approached this shop owner. He was very nice to us and called the police and got to know that the car was towed away by the authorities. Then he helped to print the papers in his shop itself, ordered a taxi to the towering station. At the end, we could get our car and continued our journey. You get good food everywhere, but it is very hard to meet such a wonderful person who can help an unknown family wholeheartedly. Thanks a lot to him.

Only negative note...you'll make me gain weight (Original) L ho visto passando in macchina.ripassando mi sono fermata che dire maya stava preparando un dolce con crema e fragole , che mi sono fatta impacchettare; ci ha fatto accomodare ho preso un buonissimo caffè con un dolcetto carico di cioccolato tutto ottimo, lei con uno splendido sorriso super accogliente, locale pulito e carinissimo, maya non ti liberererai più di noi. Definitely a place to step by. Nice and friendly service. You can even ask for some turist guidance. So tasty beer! Also perfect burgers. I chose one with figs and nuts. The first time I have eaten burger in such combination. But I loved it. Insanly good!

Great burgers, drinks and crispy fresh chips. Staff and owners are lovely genuine people. Will come back again if we are lucky enough to return to Sardinia ❤
Gurdeep K — Google review
Beautiful setting (dates back to 1500’s) with a fantastic range of beers from all over the world. Also has a broad range of spirits, and made my wife a great negroni. The most notable strength was the friendly and enthusiastic staff...the barman (I didn’t catch his name) was more than willing and able to introduce me to the different beers, and the history of the building. A random stop for a drink before dinner turned into a great experience - thank you!

Sandwich shop
American restaurant
Cocktail bar
Muzak is a cute little sandwich shop in the heart of the old town in Cagliari’s Castello quarter. It has a modern interior with woody furnishings and a small selection of cocktails with well-mixed spirits. The sandwiches are made with high quality ingredients and they're very welcoming, serving up some great choices for gin and tonic as well!
Best spot to watch the sunset - much better than other (more expensive) places nearby. Drinks and service are lovely. Outside tables are right next to another bar so make sure you get the right ones (on the left as you look towards the bay, wooden slatted tables and chairs - not wicker).

Very welcoming, AMAZING bagel with bottarga and Straciatella cheese. Also great choices for gin&tonic :)

Very good place! It was really quiet was I visited it (around 4 o'clock in the middle of a Wednesday) so I could work on my pc. Nice smooth music, very good tea and very friendly employees. The decoration is unique and pretty. Perfect environment for a talk and enjoy the view from the upper Cagliari!
Vasilis G — Google review
It's not simply burgers: it's fresh products from all over Sardinia in form of burgers. Also elaborate desserts and super friendly service. (Can you imagine a place where they round the check down? Here they do!)

Restaurant not really open on specified hours to have food. We've been in this place in propous to have food at 1:00am and after doing a huge walk to get there, we've been informed that the kitchen was closed. Very disappointing.

(Translated by Google) Small gay club 🌈 in a very central position, clean and pleasant which, unfortunately, in the four evenings in which we frequented it, did not express its potential to the fullest. Still recommended but, perhaps, they should be a little more expansive at the bar.
