Glad we found and booked this restaurant. My friend was joking that we have been eating Spanish food continuously and may get bored by now. The food here is out of ordinary and one of the best in our Southern Spain trip. Everything is good and can’t stop thinking of the dessert. Will be back soon to try more food.

Wonderful restaurant with truly amazing food. All the dishes we ordered were outstanding, very flavourful. The vibe of the place is easygoing but also elevated. Definitely recommended if you're a foodie.

Had a late dinner at Tragata and there was just a short wait. Food was delicious especially squid sandwich and fried sea bass. The artichoke was nicely cooked as well. The flavors were of a good mix and we liked it.

What a delight to find this place! This was my best dinner in Spain so far after almost 20 days here. The mussels were absolutely devine and the best I've ever had. I can't wait to go here for lunch tomorrow. Recommended 100%

Was supposed to be the “low-key” version of the 2-Michelin star bigger brother across the street , and don’t get me wrong food was good. But I didn’t get any special vibe. Inside interior are nice we but sat outside, so less cosy. Ordered burger for the kids but order got messed up and ended up waiting more than hour.

Fabulous restaurant, Benito Gómez also has the two star Michelin restaurant just over the road. The food was Devine and the staff very helpful. YOU MUST BOOK if you want to ensure a table.

Food was fine. The bone marrow was very undercooked. The Russian salad was really good. Service really lacked though. The man with mustache was sour and dismissive from the moment we walked in.

Lovely spot along the road near to the main town Square with very friendly service. The waiter was extremely helpful and took pride in his role to serve customers.

This was recommended to me by the hotel (Hotel Montelirio) as one of the more genuinely local places. Being Australian, I was early to dine. They were great - spoke English very well (I have no Spanish), gave me good recommendations for tapas and were generally sweet. I particularly liked the blue cheese croquettes and something called 'bacon salad' - it wasn't too bacon-y; crispy fresh lettuce, sliver-thin red onion (which can easily be excessively strong, but was reined in here), great walnuts, cheese, and some kind of great preserve. Yum. Ronda has great quality people-watching generally, and I could choose inside or outside. I chose inside. It took less than an hour for them to really fill up, but they didn't put pressure on to turn over the table. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Really delicious looking food. But!! Cheeks were so impossible to chew, even though the kind of fell from each other. Potatoes was hard and some glass like from oil. Both the dry cheeks and the potato’s was so bad, that we did not eat it. The waiter even asked if we were not satisfied, and I told her she could taste herself, there was plenty of untouched food on the plate. But she just didn’t give a d… the scallops were also “killed” in the cooking process. Same with the deep fried cod. Mushroom croquettes were the craziest.. one out of two was wonderful and the other was nasty. One full of mushrooms the other were just kind of trick pancake dough. We left and went to la casa puerta nearby, where we bought more food. We knew they had tender cheeks in wonderful sauce and good potatoes 🙏🏻

Visit to Ronda and in need of sustainance! Check out a few spots and this place was highly rated. A few tapas..cuddle stew, blood sausage, fried anchovies. We shared the cheese platter. Also ordered was the pear salad with walnuts. All were very good. The cuddle fish stew was to die for as was the blood sausage.I have picturrs, but reviews are not allowing me to post them. Service was a bit slow, but we are in vacation so who cares... My only criticism was the cheese platter was a bit skimpy for the price in my opinion. But the cheese were very good!

The tapas were delicious, and the beer was good. The service was a little bit slow, but nice.

We had a very relaxed evening sampling the various dishes. Intended to be a quick drink and move onto other bars, but 3 glasses of wine and 7 dishes later we strolled home completely happy to have eaten there. The staff were very nice too and everyone worked very hard to keep clients happy. The bar looks modern but still has an emphasis on quality and style.

I was scouring the area, absolutely hangry for at least 45 minutes trying to find somewhere with good ratings that also served food during siesta hour. This place did not disappoint!! Some of the tastiest tapas I’ve had on my trip in Spain. Some traditional and some I haven’t seen anywhere else. They were all delicious and the service was great!!

A small tapas bar that packs a might punch with food and wine. There are menus in English, so it's easy to understand. Food is brilliant and very delicious. It is full of local good wines. Would recommend trying the sparkling wine from a local producer. Just be patient with service, especially during busy hours. It's one person at the front and one in the kitchen

Wonderful tapas at very reasonable price. The black pudding and “lizard” were standout for us. Also good wines. We got there as it opened, as being British don’t eat late, so got a table easily.

Excellent tasty tapas at a fair price and lovely local red wine to accompany rhe varied tapas available. Friendly, polite young man serving us was engaging and knowledgeable about wine. We wish we could come back as it was such a great experience.

Really nice tapas bar with great bites and a good selection of wines per glass as well as great waiters. You have to be somewhat lucky to get a table, which only underscores the popularity of this place.

Ok so I have had some good food and wine around these parts but this place is on another level. Don’t expect haute cuisine but just really good simple tapas with excellent local wines all at great prices. Not touristy in the slightest. I ate at the Ritz in London a couple of weeks ago which has 2 Michelin stars and I enjoyed this place just as much but for different reasons. And the staff are lovely. A real gem.

The staff was friendly, but the service was super slow. I specifically asked for warm water, but they brought it cold—with ice, even! It also took ages for them to take our main order. Once we ordered, we waited about half an hour. They served the dishes in a weird order. First came the main dish—chipirones—which was delicious, but the lettuce on the side wasn’t fresh. Then we got the veggies with mushrooms, and they were cold. Only at the very end did they bring out the cheese, which is usually a starter. The cheese tasted great, but the whole experience was kind of disappointing.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel the need to warn other travelers. The food (aubergine with honey - wasn’t mentioned that it’s fried) was extremely greasy – to the point it overpowered any actual flavor. We kindly asked to change our meals, but the replacements (grilled vegetables) were literally swimming in oil. Still, we were charged for both dishes, even though we barely touched them. We also had baby squids that were quite ok. What made the experience worse was the attitude of the owner – Instead of understanding or trying to make things right, we were met with hostility and zero willingness to listen. They don’t even speak English. I truly hope the place improves, but based on our visit, I can’t recommend it. Tourists, be cautious.

The food is very good, the portions are just too small. The prices are fair, the service excellent, and the waiters are very kind and helpful. I recommend the anchovy and truffle tapas, they're truly delicious!

I came here for a late lunch yesterday and receieved the most wonderful service of my trip so far. I felt very welcomed, especially sitting at the bar right by the best barman. I had the very generous portion of grilled baby squid, the prawn and scallop skewer, and croquetas. I hope to return again, especially to see the wonderful staff. Encantado!

Exactly as expected which is excellent!!! Perfect Tapas. The prawns. Artichoke. Baby squids and even the shrimps omelette were just perfect. Perfect place to stop if you driving from Seville to Malaga

Nice Spanish bistro serving tapas as well as Larger plates like steak and breakfast items too. Outdoor dining on the sidewalk or sit inside. Prices are reasonable and the service is friendly though not terribly punctual. I greatly enjoyed the pork cheeks and the stuffed anchovies with cream cheese.

This is a very impressive bridge! We paid 5 Euros to go down into the room inside the bridge and thought that was a very cool experience. Outside, it is a bit difficult to get a really good view of the bridge without getting a bit far away from it (you need more than the hour or so that we had), but we still enjoyed the views, especially the scenic views looking out at the cliffs and valleys below. Worth a visit, especially if you have time to explore a bit farther back from the bridge!

The bridge is amazing and home to very nice views. What they don't tell you is that it is in use and very busy with cars. But still, there are vantage points so you can take great pictures. There is also a payed experience that lets you in a certain part of the bridge and it was nice to feel a bit of fresh air. I cannot really recommend the payed experience, sure at 2,50 euros is not expensive but there isn't much to see.

1 hour 30 minutes from Marbella it's worth going for the puento nuevo bridge over the gorge. I spent 3 hours there and that was just right. Very touristy however it's a lovely town and a good day out for a group and if you sit and eat/drink then you will need about 5 hours. So it's a worthwhile day out.

An absolutely breathtaking landmark! Puente Nuevo in Ronda is truly a masterpiece of architecture and nature combined. The views from the bridge are simply stunning, especially with the dramatic gorge and surrounding cliffs. It’s one of those places that leaves you speechless and makes you appreciate the blend of history and natural beauty. A must-see if you’re anywhere near Ronda — unforgettable and iconic.

A beautiful place, but very touristy. But definitely worth a visit!

Lovely place to see ,the gorges and ravine and the landscape .You can walk down via the stairs (5euros I think) but we did not.

Hidden gem. Small museum but definitely worth a visit. Entry fee was around 4 euro. Toilets on site.

Best tapas bar we’ve came across. There is a line, but we are glad that we waited - food and wine were on point, atmosphere both inside and was great and the staff was super nice. Portions are tapas-appropriate, but very well priced, so you get to taste more. Unexpected for me, I loved the morcilla.

The host was doing like thirteen jobs, all with a smile and grace, and succeeding. The line to get in was so long they moved it across the street (which was great, as it was in the shade). As for the food, it was a very fast-paced ordering process at the bar and several items we had would strong recommendations if someone asked me what to order. These include: the morcilla, the lomo en manteca (my favorite), the morantito, the garbanzo with chorizo and morcilla and the "moorish cookie." I still don't know what was even in the moorish cookie, which was a savory meat of some sort, but it was delicious. The tapas were all about 2-3 bites of food, some a little smaller than in other restaurants, but it was good and fun. Not that money is the be all to end all, but we got five canas of beer and 14 tapas for 32 euro. Not sure how that worked, but it made an already solid experience in Ronda that much better. I would recommend this place to friends heading to Ronda.

Pure Soul Family owned Spanish delicacies that represent what real Spain should be and taste like. The combination of food and proce is too good to be true. Go crazy and try everything you can fit while getting most affordable bill. My #1 experience in Spain so far. Dont miss the chorizo, grilled shrimp, “caña” small beer, pathe mussel, smoke sardine, blue cheese jamon and tortilla were my highlights. Best Tortilla I tried in Spain, just like my Grandmas. Goat cheese crust insane.

Awesome place! A real gem in Ronda. I am so glad to have experienced it. We went with 4 tapas per person and it was plenty. Great food and very friendly. Prepare to queue a bit though 😉

Local vibe. John the bar tender is amazing, wonderful food and service. It’s easy for you to order with different language by scan their QR code with pictures. Cheap price. Enjoy!

This is a great spot for tapas in Ronda. Very reasonable (1.40€ for most dishes). It’s a fun and lively atmosphere and the tapas is tasty! Our favourites were the chorizo bun, the meatballs and the patatas bravas (tapas of the day). We went back for lunch the next day! The 5€ prawns were also very tasty!

Very nice first experience in Spain. Will continue on my trip but it has a very good vibe even at 10PM Staff very friendly while I couldn’t speak Spanish at all! ❤️

Ok. Perfect location. Some if the food is amazing - like small burgers and buns. Also local salami is great. When it comes to staff - a bit of unorganized, as we were served wrong dishes. One of the waiters ignores anyone english speaking - saying Spanish only. Quite brave for a place in a tourist street. But overall a realy nice place with few obvious things to elavate the experience.

What imagination, innovation, dedication, presentation and execution. Not even AI could craft dishes this perfect. In Thomas and Paco we also had the privilege of two very attentive, efficient and kind waiters. One of the best dining experiences we have had in a country bursting with talented chefs and mind blowing flavours.

Wow, what a flavour taste bomb this place is. Highly recommended a visit here. We were lucky to grab a table for lunch before it was full, and they had to turn other people away. The menu has lots of choice and we wanted to try lots of different things. We shared the mini Thai chicken burger and mini chorizo burger.  Both were delicious. Perfectly cooked burgers and layers of favour.  It was an excellent start.  Cantabrian anchovy on bread..top notch. We intended to share the prawn omelette, but when it arrived, we decided to order another and have one each as it was to be eaten folded in a few bites. This was the one thing on the menu that we weren't sure if we wanted, but we read the reviews and gave it a go. We are so glad we did. It's one of the most tasty bites ever.  Loved it.  Prawn juicy, the sauces compliment it, the taco style omelette perfect, the  garnish.. honestly, it's fantastic. so much so we ordered another one each... we also immediately knew we wanted to book for the next day...  where we had 4 more of these .. and still could've eaten more... Cheek bao bun next, rich tasty meat. The roast chicken burrito. Full of succulent roast chicken and Mexican tomato sauce.  Dessert, we shared both.. the chocolate coulant is dark chocolate rich, and the milk with biscuits is indulgent. We booked for the next day.. where we did a repeat of our favourite dishes, adding the mini hot dog and the sardind both excellent. The red and white wines by the glass were great. A foody place not to be missed clearly a lot of thought has gone into each dish. The guys in here work so hard,  they were great.  Top marks for them and for the chef. Loved it and am still thinking of the prawn omelette today 😋 thank you.

Absolutely fantastic food. Best tapas I have had for a long time, maybe not the most traditional one but really tasty. Good and fast service. Will come again.

The best resturant we went to in Andalusia. Food exceeded all of our expectations (prawns, pork, risottoo, tacos...). If you want 10/10 flavours with amazing prices, look no further.

We had a lovely dinner here after stopping due to a recommendation. Only one table left. Food was very good and well presented. Everything was priced very reasonably. Can only recommend.

We had the most delicious lunch here. We ordered the mini chorizo burger with egg, veal bao bun, and the mushroom risotto. All of it was very good but the mushroom risotto was one of the best meals I’ve had in Spain. Also the Heineken non-alcoholic beer tastes like actual beer. Loved all of it!

Located on the quiet side of Ronda on a quaint little plaza with views of the Puerta de Almocabar. Service was super friendly and nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating is intimate, around 7 tables. Service was attentive and friendly. The food unfortunately did not convince us. I think we might have ordered the wrong things. The appetizer was extremely greasy, even for being Langostinos al ajillo, and the mains were really dry. The octopus came without a sauce - pure potato puree and the leg. Prices were the highest we’ve paid in Andalusia so far, bringing our dinner to 90€ despite only 1x Appetizer, 2 Mains, 2 glasses of wine + one beer, and a small bottle of water. 4-Stars is stretching it…

My family and I accidently stumbled upon this restaurant, and we loved every single dish that we had!! It was the perfect meal, the lamb was so tender and the risotto was delicious!!! Recommend to everyone!!

Our favourite restaurant in Ronda. We twice traveled 40 minutes to dine here in one week. It changed hands a few years ago but the new team have kept the high standard with the food and work very hard on the service. Quality of the beef/steak and pork, in particular, is excellent. Very good wines. We will return.

Absolutely amazing restaurant in a lovely area of Ronda! This is a small restaurant but the atmosphere was really nice and service fantastic (José and Javi ). We ordered the dishes recommended to us and it was some of the best food I’ve ever had - special mention to the Tuna tartar, steak with foie gras & mushroom sauce and cheesecake. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Loved this place. Outstanding food, would have gotten 5 stars if they hadn't forgotten my appetizer and only served it after all the mains were done. Our mains also took quite a long time to arrive, but other than that, everything was top notch. We ordered the marinated salmon, truffle fried eggs, pork cheeks, duck with basmati rice, and the foie gras with goat cheese (which came much too late). Appetizers were great; salmon was served in nice thick slices, and the eggs were pretty decadent. Good portions for the mains too, duck was grilled very well, and the marinade/sauce was perfect. Foie gras was the bomb. Such a huge portion, and with the goat cheese and melted caramel - amazing. Needs to be shared. Unless you want a heart attack. Service and wine was good.

Very nice open air location with outside seating. The hot tapas were good, nothing to write home about but I really appreciated the fried shrimps. They got a nice selection of res and white wines as well to complement the dishes. Overall satisfaction

Super place with a great vibe and amazing food at really good prices. The restaurant was full of locals, which is always a good sign! Everything we tried was delicious, but the stuffed avocado was the highlight for me. We waited about 25 minutes for a table, but it was totally worth it. Definitely recommend!

This restaurant was recommended by an woman who I chanced to meet on the way to Ronda. She told me that it is where they usually eat tapas. So I tried it and indeed it is a restaurant that has great ambience and the food that I ordered as it was already late was croquettes and delicious like home made. The service is fast and the waiter is so polite and friendly.

Amazing dishes, quick service considering the restaurant was very busy after 2 p.m.. Highlights: queso de cabra, rabo de toro, aguacate relleno de delicias and most ✨ Not sure if we were just unlucky but the tortilla was too well-done, crispy on the bottom, dry and tasteless.

We had sangrias and many many tapas, all of which were amazing! Especially the avocado, fried peppers and pork buns. Also the prices are so affordable!

We visited this restaurant based on our tour guide's recommendation, and it turned out to be quite popular and bustling. The standout dish for me was the prawn kebab, which was incredibly juicy and plump; I ended up ordering it twice!

Dining at Casa María in Ronda was one of the most memorable meals of my entire trip through Andalusia. Tucked into a quiet plaza just a short walk from the Puente Nuevo, this small, family-run restaurant delivers big on charm, flavor, and authenticity. What makes Casa María special is its unique concept: there’s no fixed menu. Instead, the host asks about any allergies or dislikes, and then you're taken on a culinary journey made from that day’s freshest market ingredients. Each course arrives as a surprise—and every single one was a delight. From a perfectly grilled local cheese starter to an exquisitely tender piece of Iberian pork, everything was beautifully balanced and thoughtfully presented. The atmosphere is incredibly warm and welcoming. María and her family treat you like guests in their own home. She explained each dish as it came out, often with stories about the ingredients or how it was prepared. It felt personal, intimate, and unpretentious.

If I could give this 20 stars I would! One of, if not THE best dining experience we’ve ever had. The staff was extremely nice and friendly, explained how the restaurant worked. Started at 45 euro per person and you get a set menu of salad, appetizers, fish meat and dessert. Everything we ate was amazing. The flavors were so good and each dish kept getting better and better which we didn’t think was possible. We called a day early to get a reservation for the next day. If you are in Ronda PLEASE go! It was the best dinning experience ever and you won’t be disappointed. It is more expensive than other places but 100% worth it!!

What an amazing experience we had!!! Not a planned stop but due to a rainy weather, we stayed a bit longer in Ronda - thankfully! No fixed menu, seasonal food served by Maria, only 4 small tables… and she welcomed us despite it was already quite late (all the other guests have left, we were the last one). Everything was absolutely perfect, Maria and her mom are sweet and heartwarming people. If we will come back to Ronda someday, we will definitely stop at Maria’s place again!

Delicious unique experience. Felt like I was eating at a family member’s home. They catered to us considering we’re vegetarian. There was also an extremely friendly cat in the square that enhanced our dining experience. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Ronda!

We had such a good experience at Casa Maria! The food was incredible, everything was fresh and of the highest quality. No menu - Maria instructed us there would be several courses, which were all fantastic. My partner is a coeliac and we’re not too big on seafood, so our meal was tailored to our preferences. We had a duck salad, feta/asparagus and pan con tomate to start, a 45 day aged steak which we seared on a hot stone and a poached pear with a white chocolate sauce to finish. Only dropped a star for atmosphere, because we were the only ones there for lunch service, but we can’t complain about that! A proper Spanish eating experience form start to finish 😊🇪🇸

We went here on a trip to Spain and loved everything from the vibe, to the staff, and the food and wine. The whole experience was created, including interacting with Maria herself. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

The staff was a bit serious at first explaining that they served a prix fix menu but quickly warmed up to us. The chef checked in on regularly as she spoke the best English. The staff was charming. Definitely the best meal and experience in a restaurant so far in Spain!

Love the food! Fresh and tasty! The texture of roasted octopus cooked well with its fresh taste and nice sauce. The Goat cheese cake was also very good, creamy and soft texture, with a hint of goat cheese aroma👍🏻lovely Good atmosphere and good service with acceptable price!

What a lovely wonderful cute restaurant in the heart of Ronda Spain, the staff was super welcoming even though we didn’t have a reservation, the menu is nice and extensive but not over bearing, opted for no wine as this was a stop over on the way to Grenada but the tuna my god was great and the beef carpaccio! Get. The. Tuna! I’ll include a pic!

The place was recommended by our Airbnb host and it is definitely worth it. The food is amazing and so is the service. When visiting Ronda, I will be sure to go to the restaurant again. It is advisable to make reservations.

Amazing dinner we had yesterday in Tropicana! All what we ordered was fenomenal, but what we will never forget is the Beef carpacio🤤. I highly recommend this place! Their working hours are very strict so pay attention to that. Enjoy! You will not regret it!

When we first entred we was a bit skeptic about the menu with very sofisticated plates. We usually tend to eat more simple/basic food. But then we ordered to eat and everything was AMAZING, from meats, to fish and dessert! Great food, lovely staff, great ambiance, lovely details and amazing experience! Thanks a lot!

I took my girlfriend out to dinner for her birthday at the Restaurante Tropicana in Ronda. It was a wonderful dining experience. The owner and wait staff were very welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious. We started with a really tasty, unique “Tropicana” green salad with cucumbers, avocado, mango and fresh tomatoes. We both had a the baked salmon with mustard coating and garden vegetables — a generous portion, seasoned and baked to perfection. The side of bread was warm and crusty. The carrot cake and creamy chocolate cake, with decaf expresso, put a really nice cap on a top notch meal. We’ve had dinners in Madrid, Cordoba and Sevilla that were not nearly as good AND more expensive. Restaurant Tropicana is a must for dinner when you’re visiting Ronda.

Nice restaurant worth stopping in for dinner, lunch or tapas. The service is perfect, lovely atmosphere and good food. The area is one of the very dynamic places you can find in Ronda.

Lovely experience. One of the best salads I have ever had. and being a vegetarian, I eat mostly only salads when holidaying in Europe. This one beats all the others I have ever eaten! The spinach salad with goats cheese in brick pastry, with berry coulis, and walnuts.... WOW!!!

We chose this restaurant based on reviews and it was a good choice. This was our best meal in Spain and we ate ate some Michelin recommended places. My friend is very picky and not a fan of unfamiliar foods so finding a place she would enjoy is always a challenge. She ordered three rounds of the chicken and rice tapas dish. I had the beef tenderloin which was flavour perfection, especially the light creamy garlic sauce on the potatos(I don’t like strong garlic and this delivered the perfect balance). My friends tried a few tapas and salads and were all superiority pleased. The price was great, location stellar, and the staff were more than excellent. Thank you for an excellent meal. We would have went back for dinner if we were not leaving Ronda for our next destination. We also enjoyed excellent coffee, beer and the local wine drink (Tinto Verrano) and a dessert. The total bill was 90 euro for 4 people.

Very busy and popular restaurant. We didn't book and had to wait 15 minutes for a table. We ordered a selection of tapas and each dish was beautifully prepared. We've had some of the best tapas in Spain from this restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed every single dish. The price of everything was also very reasonable in comparison to prices paid in Malaga. I highly recommend this place to everyone and would definitely return for food in the future.

The food was so exceptional that we visited this restaurant twice while we were in Ronda. The service was very friendly and the server referred to us as "family" on our return. We told him that we were off to Seville the next day and he came back to our table with hand written restaurant recommendations, which we ended up following up on. Great experience. We enjoyed a nice meal here with a few tapas dishes. The tuna tataki was especially tasty. It's located in a pedestrian only street so it's away from traffic and also protected from the sun with shades over the street.

We ordered the chicken paella and oxtail stew. Definitely the best food we tried in Andalusia. The paella was juicy and the taste just right. The stew was amazing. Tender meat falling from the bones and gravy the perfect flavour. Wait is a bit longer because of the popularity. The restaurant was full.

I ordered the Galician blonde beef tenderloin with foie sauce and foie escalopes, and unfortunately it was one of the worst dishes I’ve ever had. The beef was tough and had an unpleasant flavor, the foie was completely bland, and the baked potatoes were served cold. To make it worse, the bread that came to the table was still frozen inside. I genuinely couldn’t finish the meal. Extremely disappointing for the price. As for the owner’s response: Anyone who checks my profile can see that I NEVER left negative review, because I understand how much effort goes into running a restaurant and that mistakes can happen. However, in this case, I decided to write one because nobody came to ask if everything was okay, so we had no chance to communicate or replace the dish on the spot. I left half of my portion and the fact that my boyfriend ate some doesn’t change my experience. My review reflects my personal opinion, nothing more and nothing less. Oh, and the Inesita was perfectly fine! 😊

I would give them 6 stars if possible - we went for lunch and we took fried octopus and mushroom risotto and both dishes were marvellous- the best I have ever eaten. We finished off with manchego cheesecake. When in Ronda, don’t miss this place and listen to the waiter as he recommended both dishes and was 100% right :)

Very nice restaurant near Plaza del Socorro! Upon their recommendation we started with croquetas, jamón and tomatoes. The tomatoes were so fresh and tasty, with the olive oil and vinagre which was their own production, it was super nice. We ordered different dishes to eat together. All were fresh and nice. We finished the dinner with mousse de chocolate, it comes as two servings. It was very tasty. For drinks, tinto de verano was very good as well. They brought some chupitas after, from the house which was very nice :)

I truly don’t understand the 4.0 rating. My husband and I both love to cook, and he even owned a catering business—so we know what it takes to prepare and present fresh, high-quality food. Casa Ortega did not disappoint. Every dish we ordered was beautifully prepared, bursting with flavor, and clearly made from fresh ingredients. The service was exceptional as well. We would gladly return and highly recommend this restaurant.

It is a real oasis with a beautiful park. Unfortunately the park is in need of some love and care, and that's why I subtract one star. The "kings house" is in a very bad state and should be renovated to its former glory, if I had any say in the matter. The "mine" is a must-see if you are able to climb all the stairs up and down, and is a true gem.

We visited Casa del Rey Moro today and overall it was an interesting experience, but not quite what we expected for the entry fee. The garden is small and simple, with some nice views, but nothing spectacular. The descent of more than 200 steps into the mine is unique, but quite demanding, not really recommended for people with heart or knee problems. Bring water with you and don’t come in flip-flops or sandals, good shoes make a big difference. At the bottom, two platforms were closed and the water was unfortunately very dirty, with algae and even plastic waste. A bit disappointing compared to the photos we had seen before. Still, the views are beautiful and worth a few pictures, but the place would really shine with better maintenance.

Relaxing gardens and journey inside caves down to the bottom of the gorge which gives plenty of opportunities for some great photos. You can see the outside of the house but the house itself is closed to the public. To get the most out of a visit don’t rush through it and stop and scan the QR codes on signs to launch YouTube audio commentary on the various sections. Hopefully the wooden walkways at the bottom of the gorge will open in the future which will make it even better.

The entrance fee was €10 per person. While the visit had potential, the gardens left me somewhat disappointed. The entrance area looked lovely at first glance, but several details gave a run down impression — the fountains weren’t working, lights were broken, and much of the greenery was either dry or not in bloom. I understand this may be due to the season, but for a place that receives tourists year-round (or so), there are certainly ways to keep the gardens attractive in all seasons. Overall, the entrance fee felt a bit too high. If you are going for the views, next to the gardens is free of charge Jardines de Cue, beautiful views and gardens.

The water well is amazing, lots of steps to climb up and down though. As other people have said, there's no access to the house, so 10 euros entrance feels slightly steep.

Excellent well worth visiting for the history and the views and garden. The audio guide is rich and can be accessed from QR codes around the site, using the free Wi-Fi.

It was a fun exploration in the water mines. The history is quite interresting. The audio guide via qr code does not work in the lower parts due to bad signal, so it is a pity. It is colder inside the water mine, so it's a great way to escape the heat as well. Be careful, can be slippery, and the stairs are narrow. The garden is simple, but the peacocks made it more special.

Very cool too see the baths, very well preserved and kept. There was a very informative video being played in English and Spanish that explained how the baths worked and their purpose clearly. Gardens were a bit bare but still nice on a warm afternoon.

When its +35 outside...you will definitely enjoy +20 inside! 700 y old and still amazing!

This is a must if you visit Ronda. Watch the 10min video with the 3D animation before you go around the site - gives a clear understanding of how the baths were supplied with water and heat, and the role the baths played in ancient times.

Spectacular step into deep history, a fine introductory video to show the workings and purpose of bathing the Muslim way, then we could walk around and really get a feel for the place. Beautiful gardens too! We were extra impressed at the outside information boards which were, get this, hand carved from cork!

OK for a quick visit. It’s way at the bottom of the hill and it’s a long walk back to the top. If you are tired after a long day exploring Ronda you can safely give this place a miss. But otherwise it’s OK for a quick tour of say 30 minutes.

Well-preserved medieval Arab baths that are a nice visit, and it also has a history video explaining how the baths worked.

Excellent place for lunch with a magnificent view of the famous bridge. The service here is impeccable, and the food is amazing. Fresh bread and lovely olives are complimentary. An amuse bouche is served but is added to your bill. Also, gluten-free options are available here.

Very nice restaurant that we discovered by chance, after seeing the view while passing by. Quite and peaceful ambiance. You can see the whole view of the bridge. All 6 of us ordered different things and we all enjoyed our food. The staff was lovely and helpful as well. I definitely recommend here if you are in Ronda.

My mother and I had a wonderful meal at this restaurant, which offers the most stunning view of the Ronda gorge. It’s truly a hidden gem. Maria and Jesus were incredibly kind and professional — they served us an amazing wine that we loved so much, we took a bottle home. The burrata salad was fresh and delicious, and the salmon tagliatelle was perfectly cooked. I could have stayed on that terrace all day

Summary: do not come here. There is better food elsewhere. Just had dinner here and was extremely disappointed - I have no idea who on earth decided that the food here was good enough for the Michelin guide. To be fair, the starters were good but the meal was just a straight downhill from there. The mains were not good at all - some were overly salted and my pork cheeks tasted like they could have been cooked in the canteen of a UK school. If you want good views, just book a room in the hotel and stay here - no need to waste your money on sub-standard mains that will ruin your day. I’m staying here and the hotel room is quite nice. Service was fine but even though one of us left our main dish half eaten, they didn’t ask how we found the food and if there were any issues.

It's not surprising that this beautiful establishment in the Hotel Montelirio in Ronda was recognized by the Michelin guide. The food is succulent, beautifully presented and served by such curteous and attentive staff. And to top the gastronomic experience, the restaurant offers a magnificent view of the Ronda gorge and ponto nuevo. An experience to be had if you are visiting Ronda la bella.

we ordered eggs w breadcrumb, goat cheese salad, pork appetizer, and ox tail. Ox tail was reallly fatty and a bit gelatins. Ox tail feeds 2 people not just for one person. The goat cheese salad was delicious! It had so much goat cheese 50% cheese 50% salad. The eggs were not very good, bit bland, would not recommend you order. The pork appetizer was very good. Overall the salad was amazing, the other plates were just good. The portions are very big and not too pricy. Sitting outside is right in the middle of the plaza, very nice atmosphere. They are very busy so get here right when they open at 1.

Extraordinary place to have a late lunch, warm outside but sitting in the shade of trees and surrounded by history. We waited for a bit to be seated as there was no free table outside and they still served us even though it said they should be closed. Really delicious food, I haven’t had such a tasty oxtail dish ever. The octopus tentacle was also very nicely cooked but I have to say the oxtail was just perfect. The green tiny pepper needed maybe a bit more salt but still good. The sangria was very refreshing and a good choice for a hot day. I highly recommend it, taking a well deserved break for lunch and enjoying their delicious dishes. Their prices are really affordable and service is really good.

We came to Ronda on a very busy day in June but the Plaza Duquesa de Parchent, where the highly rated Meson Carmen de la Ronda is located, was pleasantly free of crowds. We loved our food and the service was excellent. We shared the shrimp, apple, spinach, nuts salad and the black rice. Both delicious!! I understand that Spain is a Spanish speaking country, but you would expect a server to understand SOME English or at least try to work with international customers in such a touristy location. They had no interest in that, and went on to chitchat with their regulars. Food was good, as was the beer. So poor rating is for the lack of service.

Very nice restaurant with nice views. The service was professional but very slow despite hardly anyone in there and plenty of staff. Food nicely presented and my vegetables were nice but the calamare at 20€ was bland and chewy. Husband said his salmon stuffed with prawns was ok but good job he had a big breakfast as was about two mouthfuls. All in all it was ok but would not rush to go back. They did give me gluten free bread and were helpful with knowledge of allergens regarding menu choices

Atmosphere is nice thats why i give it 2 star (one for the atmosphere one for how bad the food tasted). The squid ink rice didnt have enough sauce to eat with the rice, creme brulé is too sweet. Waiters are so rush with everything even tho there is no customer around. Theres no light in toilet also, need to carry torch light inside also. I will give another star for the lovely owner. hopefully this place can be better soon.

The host and waiter were very professional. The view for sunset was beautiful. The portions were very small. For an appetizer I was given 6 ravioli. For my main course I had squid but it was very bland and a biy chewy. The veggies were very good. My husband haf the bachalau and he liked the taste but it was such a small piece of fish.

This is a nice place for a quiet dinner. The waiter was super attentive. I asked for some gluten-free bread which prompted him to make sure that the cooks kept my food separate so that there wouldn’t be any contamination from dishes that contain gluten.

I went here after reading the reviews online and I must say that the food was quite disappointing and not very good. We had 3 starters and a steak and the quality was not it, it was very bland and for nearly 100€ I expected better food and quality. We had seafood (lubina, bacalao and calamars, all very good). Service was meticulous, but unobtrusive. We enjoyed the breathtaking views from the terrace.

Location was amazing and the service was amazing as well. The male waiter was really great and attentive. He was kind as well. We had the jamon and the pate for starter. Both were great, especially the pate with some marmalade and that thing that I forgot the name. The iberico pork loin was amazing as well. It was tender and just delicious. I would love it more if it was still warm when it was served to us. But overall, tummy is happy. The spanish traditional cake was a delight too with coffee.

What a gem! Not only was the food delicious, the presentation made me feel like I was in a Michelin rated restaurant instead of a local eatery. We ate two of the specials: a mango, shrimp and avocado salad to start then pork picaña.

Loved Bar El Converto! Had one of our favorite dishes in Spain at this restaurant - Tartar de aguacate y langostinos (avocado with shrimp and mango). Incredible presentation with amazing flavor. Also enjoyed the Alcachofas aliñadas (artichokes). Delicious artichokes in olive oil with olives and little bits of what tasted like bacon. The woman who was our waitress or perhaps the manager was extremely friendly, giving us suggestions on what to order. She brought out a great red wine that was my favorite I’ve had in Spain - “A Pasos Roble 2019”, from Ronda. We also got a small sweet wine after dinner drink that was fun to end the meal. The location is a bit out of town but totally worth the walk. Will come here again the next time we are in Ronda.

Best meal we have had so far in our Spain trip! Although it’s a bit far away from the center, the deliciousness of the food worths the walk and the time! The taste of the dishes is beyond words, especially the “lamb skewer” and “the leek and shrimp tissues”. We would like to revisit sometime in the future🥹

Nice restaurant hidden in the other side of the town. The scallop and prawn tapa, and the avocado tartar were simply stunning and delicious - even a bit too stunning as there was quite a lot ongoing. But nevertheless, the scallops were perfectly cooked and the avocado worked well with sweet onion and fruits. We had also snails, but they were snails and my friend likes them. They were really busy and apologized about it, but we were not bothered due to their extreme friendliness.

We had Presa Ibérica and Revuelto de Patatas con Chorizo y Morcilla, and 2 tapas, more than enough for the three of us and delicious. Good value for money. Lovely tapas bar slightly out of the tourist area (but worth the 10 minute walk). Very extensive menu which lots of different options that other tapas bars don’t offer. Service was good and fast and pricing was very reasonable.

We have been visiting Ronda for years and this place is our favourite. Relaxed, friendly and authentic. The owners are very personable and great with our young children. The meat has a lovely taste from the wood BBQ. Real Homely feel to the place.

While spending our time in Ronda, I conducted a review of Spanish barbecue establishments and this place was a standout. We decided to try it. First... no menus. The place only seems to have one meal plan. Starts with a little ant paste and bread. Then a tomato salad, followed by a fried mushroom. From that, a sampling of sausages. Once completed with that, the entree of grilled meats (pork, beef and ribs) on top of a mound of fries. All items were excellent. The meat needed nothing. Cooked to perfection. Lastly, they wanted to finish up with a dessert, but we were too full to enbib, so they presented us with several liquors :). There was a language struggle as English was very limited, but all worked out. When it was time to depart we asked for a taxi to be called for us, none were available. The female hostess gave us a ride back to our hotel. So nice. While riding back she took us on small tour of the town we did not previously see. In closing. If you want some awesome Spanish barbacoa while while in Ronda, I give this place an A+!

Fabulous food, including the most incredible grilled steaks , tasty starters, delicious desserts … we especially appreciated the warmth of the welcome by the lovely owner and his wife - such a special couple.. a marvellous experience that we’ll remember for a long time.

Really nice place, away from Ronda very crowded places. We ordered different Kind of Tapas, wich all tasted very good. I really can recommend to eat at that restaurant.

Food was very average and had to wait over 45 mins to get tapas. No one even attempt to communicate even with google translate. Managed to order food but the wait after made us want to walk out. When went to ask about the lateness no staff member wanted to engage and simply made us wait longer. Very poor service and will not be coming back. The locals who came later than us seem to get food served quicker.

Food was great, and the vibe was exceptional! I recommend the stuffed avocado and the pimientos de padron. Service is very attentive and very welcoming as well. You get an awesome experience for a very good price with a nice location right on the central square of San Francisco. Even if it's just for a drink, definitely come here!

Unfussy tapas joint that offers small plates indoors with outdoor dining available across the street. Staff were attentive, and the food was okay for the price.

Food was blend and tasteless, without herbs/seasoning. We had grilled chickenbreast and Iberian pork shoulder with fries, no vegetables or other things on the plate. Hardly grilled and really without taste and that for € 19 and 12,50. Not worth the money🤔

This was our favorite dining experience from our entire trip to Spain!! Reasonable, friendly locals, and delicious food and drinks - we enjoyed the Roble wine and ensalata di pulpo.

The food was okay, however for the prices they were not worth it. 7.50 for the tomato, 17 for the meat plate, 17 for the oxtail which was good and tender but lacking a bit of flavor and not living up to the hype. Our final bill was €50 and we were full but a bit disappointed. I think I would have enjoyed this place more with different selections from the menu. The service was great.

The food was very good and the prices were reasonable. The service could have been better. It felt as though the staff wanted us to order, eat, and leave quickly. We were given only one menu for five people, and no drinks menu at first — the server came to take our order before we even had the chance to see it. When we received the drinks menu, it was only in Spanish, while the food menu was available in English as well. But overall good as the food was nice!

It’s a super good bar to have meals here. The oxtail was amazing, tender and full of collagen . And the tomato flowers sauce is really a highlight. The most important the service is kind and friendly , they always smile no matter how busy they are. I’d highly recommend that people should visit here if you are in Ronda

Today, I had dinner here with my wife and son, spending over 60 euros, and it turned out to be the biggest disappointment of my life. Recently visiting Spain, and particularly this restaurant actually, left me with the impression that Spanish people might be spoiled by an abundance of tourists, as they seem to show little respect to their visitors. Starting from the beginning, in our case ar least not only did we wait almost 40 minutes or more for our order to develop, but the staff barely paid any attention to what was happening at our table. We received large plates for the soup which were then taken back, and for the main course, my son had to eat from a small plate despite my repeated requests for a larger one. The waiter also didn’t bother to clean our table even once, and when I finally took myself the empty Coke cans to dispose of them in a trash can, a waiter approached me, grabbed my shirt, and screamed at me aggressively. Surprisingly their manager was no better because when I complained, he never apologized, instead telling me that I was not normal. Regarding the food, it was average at best. The octopus could have been cooked a bit more, while the other two dishes — bulltail stew and another whose name I don’t recall — somehow tasted the same, which was very odd. Overall, this was the worst experience I've had at a restaurant, not only in Spain but everywhere. I definitely do not recommend this place. Not to forget, that a group of teenagers next to our table began to smoke despite not having an ashtray and the restaurant not appearing to be smoker-friendly. For us, as non-smokers, this was a significant issue especially because the waiters did not react to this situation, nor did they care when we brought it to their attention

Wonderful food and friendly service! The rabo de toro was delicious, and enthusiastically approved of by the Jamaican oxtail expert in our party. All the food was great, but the cod tapa and the lamb skewers stood out particularly.

We went to this place early enough to be able to get a table for four, the service was very good and quick, we liked the food but my kids were not very happy about it, but we understood as it was something new for them. I had the bull tail stew and it was like a home made meal. My husband had the octopus leg and that was rhetorical favourite of everyone. One of my kids loved the gambas pil pil but the other didn’t, so it is just matter of taste. Our waiter was very polite and fast. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Came here to try the oxtail, as recommended by our tour guide, and it did not disappoint! Super tasy and tender. Tried two other dishes which were yunmy as well. The staff were also kind and attentive to us!

We have very present experience in this place. The indoor atmosphere is wonderful but most people may choose outdoor seating and miss that. I guess it might run by the family members because they are so friendly and welcoming. We try the white sangria and it’s so “pretty”. Definitely going back if travel on next time.

We were very lucky to get the last free table, even though we went during peak hours. We were not succeed to make a reservation the day before. The service was very nice, the food was absolutely delicious! It's worth waiting 40 min. for the paella - it was our first paella ever. The only pity is that they close at 9:30 PM, we didn't have enough time to finish their excellent sangria.

The best cheeks in Ronda.. and believe me, I tried. I actually left two other (bad, but with good reviews😳) and went here and order their cheeks in Rondenean sauce. Lovely. Once we also gave up breakfast (no one was serving anybody at that place that morning) and their Catalan Mollette is really nice, but order extra jamon and cheese. Their serve a great cup of freshly brewed coffee 🙏🏻😎 As you can see from the fotos, we keeps coming. We were in Ronda long enough to also enjoy other great places, but every time another restaurant was bad, we ran here. Thank you so much for the great food❤️😎🙏🏻 I got to get the recipe, because I got addicted to those tender and marvellous cheeks. The rest of the food was also really wonderful my boyfriend had the Camembert twice also.

Great service, taster starter on the house, great lamb shoulder so tender it fell apart, excellent salad, and dessert, followed by an on the house chaser shot. Super atmosphere in restaurant lane. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is amazing! From the food to the staff, it is a must-go place if you are looking for somewhere wonderful to eat in Ronda. We had the paella which was delicious and watched the table next to us have their carbonara made in front of them as well. If I’m ever back in Ronda, this is the first place I’m heading. Highly recommended! Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the service truly set this place apart — especially thanks to the exceptional care from the manager. We had ordered the 45-day aged steak, but found the taste wasn’t quite to our liking. Without any hesitation or fuss, the manager immediately offered to replace it with another steak, which turned out to be fantastic. That level of attentiveness and professionalism is rare and deeply appreciated. Combined with the stunning views and warm atmosphere, this was a memorable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

May be one of my best dinners. Outstanding foods and breathtaking views. Service is also something to highlight. The waiters as Jacinto just made our day suggesting the best wines to combine our cravings. This place deserves a Michelin Star.

Fantastic dinner with food and service really of a high quality. Location was icing on cake. Only thing (which is difficult to fix in Spain) is smoking at restaurant tables which detracted from the meal for non-smokers - can the restaurant area be made no smoking with people maybe going to the bar end if they want to smoke?

Incredible, spectacular views of Ronda, including the bullring. Food and service was impeccable - our waiter, Jacinto, was attentive and considerate throughout, really couldn't have wished for better service. To top it it off, they brought us a lovely cake and ice cream desert wishing us a happy anniversary (our 10th!) and a happy birthday to my wife. All in all a great experience!

We enjoyed this fancy food restaurant, although a bit expensive and with small portions. The view is very beautiful. Rice of the sushi not good. Tartare de atun and ceviche tasty. Salad with too much balsamic cream covering the other ingredients.

Stopped by in Ronda during our visit in Spain, came across this restaurant and didn’t have a reservation, but was still seated luckily. The view was gorgeous and the staff were so kind. Our server, Dominic was fantastic. Super professional, really informative and efficient. Although we spoke minimal Spanish to him, he did understand & spoke great English. But we do like to try speak the native language when we visit somewhere where possible. Our food was excellent. We got to choose out of two choices of bread which was a nice touch. I got the Oxtail Cannelloni and it was so tasty! Very different to anything I had eaten before. I then got the chocolate cake for dessert which was so nice but I couldn’t finish it because I was so full. The restaurant was very clean as well. It was our most expensive meal whilst out in Spain but still cheap & cheaper than UK meals out! The view was also incredible. Would definitely return and recommend as well!

This small bar right next to the historic bridge in Ronda offers great wines and excellent tapas at reasonable prices. The service is superb and Carla's friendliness is infectious. We'll be back again soon.

The food was ok but the attitude and service can definitely be improved. The servants clearly showed they have no interest to serve tourists nicely. We asked to have both English menu and Spanish menu but they said only 1 can be provided, either English or Spanish. It's at the pricey side but again, they have no interest to serve tourists who don't speak Spanish.

Super busy place. Just next to the bridge. We couldn’t get a table elsewhere and Google the next best Ox Tail Stew and found it right here! Staff are friendly, need to wait a while for table but worth the wait. The ox tail was so flavourful and quite a big portion, price is reasonable!! Lots of meat choices. If you are looking for seafood go elsewhere 😆

I did not expect a place so close to the bridge to be this good! A lovely surprise. Good quality tuna salad, chorizo and boquerones and friendly service.

As suggested by our Airbnb host we visited this Tapas bar without expectations but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Friendly service, good food and very reasonable prices.

We visited this place for lunch, The food was decent and was served very fast. Very affordable as well. However, the waiter barely gave us any time to look through the menu - weirdly he just stood at our table staring at us right after he gave us the menu, and kept asking us what to order.

Oh wow, we had the best experience here! It seems like such a simple unassuming place but we decided to give it a go because of the great reviews and we were not sorry we did! We tried a bunch of tapas which were all excellent: fresh, tasty, innovative. The service was great, good recommendations on food and wine, atmosphere was outstanding - locals queuing up to ger a place here, you could tell it was a true local tapas bar, but also catered very well for us tourists.

It was a very windy day in October when we visited the waiters did well to get the food out of the door to the outside area without it blowing away! We had an excellent and great value variety of tapas dishes here.  Can’t fault the service or the food and can highly recommend it. The patatas brava were particularly good, nice amount of spice and crispy potatoes. Generous portion of anchovies in vinegar. The tuna tataki was brilliant value and delicious. Asian inspired dressing and perfectly seared. Perfectly cold beer and great local wine and the mini burgers were tasty. Zingy octopus salad and rich ham croquettes.  Presented beautifully too. So much choice on the menu I could have chosen many more dishes. Excellent prices at 34.05 for what we had. Tasty food and excellent service.. made us feel very welcome   Thank you 😊

We had no idea how to order and the waiter asked if he could order for us! It turned out to be the best meal we had in southern Spain. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Ronda.

I'm allergic to pork gluten and dairy. I speak Spanish fluently. 2 different waiters were unaware of their menu, offered me pork dishes repeatedly, refused to just cook a chicken breast (it appears it's impossible to do), were indifferent. I suggest going to the restaurant "San Francisco" right next to it. San Francisco was totally full and this place was only at 50% capacity.

Puente Nuevo is not just a bridge, it’s the heart of Ronda. Built in the 18th century after decades of work, it towers almost 100 meters above El Tajo and connects the old and new town. It is truly spectacular, the views over the cliffs and the valley below are breathtaking and worth every photo. Yes, it’s crowded, but it’s one of those landmarks you simply can’t skip when visiting Ronda.

It is a very nice view with the bridge and the waterfall. But it lacks shade.. The old one on the other side apparently is not free but this one is free. It is a long way, especially the returning so we needed to stop to rest. However there are only a few points with shade which was generally taken by others. There could be natural solutions that would help visitors in this case. If you have the energy I recommend it. But keep in mind that it is hot and some parts are steep. After some point the access was closed though. So the actual route is even longer I assume.

As you approach the new bridge you’ll not be surprised at the number of tourist groups all vying for phot opportunities. I recommend you walk over the bridge and turn left down the next street and head down to the old bridge you see from the new bridge. Then you can an unobstructed view from there. People on go for the bridge & gorge so take some time to sample some ice cream or a light lunch in the town square with a lovely church.

This was so so beautiful! Absolutely gorgeous! Very impressive and amazing for a lovely photo. But wear good shoes! It’s quite a hike with loads of cobble stones (sometimes a little slippery)

What a view! It’s marvellous how they were able to build the bridge that high and the cliffs made the view more dramatic. How to get to the view point: 1) Take the street opposite the Mirador de los Viajeros Romanticos mural (C.Tenorio). 2) Follow C. Tenorio all the way to Plaza de Maria. 3) In the corner of Plaza de Maria, follow the steps down to the viewpoint. We paid 5€ each for the viewpoint. I’m not sure if you can walk to the other side and not have to pay? Definitely worth it to pay in my opinion rather than the newbridge museum on the other side of the bridge.

Scenic spot to see the 3 arches at the El Tajo Gorge. Best time is to watch the bridge change color during sunset and wait for the lights up after that. There are few flight of slopes/ stairs to head back to the bridge but it's worth the climb.

Probably great. Closes to admission at 8.30 or 9pm. Didn't get to see the sunset from here. No warning that we could see before you get down there! Took some sunset photos from the path

Our favourite place during our Andalusia trip- totally underrated I think. You can sit next to locals enjoying really authentic tapas. Went for dinner and ordered nearly everything from the menu. Amazing experience with very good food. A great variety of tapas (€1.50 each), to choose from. As a group of 3 we had 6 beers, around 15 tapas plates, as well as a plate of jamon iberico and it came out to €15/person. Really worth it in our eyes.

This is one of the best and most affordable bars we visited in all of Spain. I don’t know why anyone would bother going anywhere else when in Ronda. Service, food, atmosphere all superb.

We have chosen Bardal for my birthday as we live in Marbella and it was nice to have a day in Ronda. The food was amazing, service was good (thought the staff was robotic and does not look welcoming ) and wine pairing was a huge disappointment. I mean it’s not our first experience in Michelin star restaurant with wine pairing and never ever I had to ask to top up the glass and even feel guilty about it 😒 The portions of wine and Champaign were ridiculously small, you could not even accompany food with it as literary was for one sip. Absolutely overpriced (100 euros pp, siх almost empty glasses for 16 course tasting menu), felt like a rip off when we received a bill for almost 600 euros. Not a pleasant experience, unfortunately 🙁

Our lunch at this Michelin-recognized establishment was a pleasant and well-paced culinary experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff offered a warm welcome and promptly guided us to our table. Service throughout the evening was attentive, with our glasses consistently refilled and dishes arriving at a steady, thoughtful rhythm. The interior, while elegant, had a minor drawback—spare cutlery placed behind us occasionally distracted from our focus on the storytelling and composition of the dishes. The waitstaff were courteous and clearly made an effort to explain each course; however, at times, the local Spanish accent made some of the English explanations difficult to fully grasp. That said, the team was quick to clarify when asked, and their professionalism never wavered. A small technical issue with the wine preservation system (not due to staff error) resulted in a slight spill, but this did not detract from the overall wine experience, which was otherwise superb. The food itself was exceptional across the board. Every course was thoughtfully conceived and well-executed, culminating in a standout moment: the second-to-last dessert, an inventive and unexpectedly delightful mushroom-based dish that showed real creativity and finesse. Overall, this was a polished and rewarding dining experience.

Going to a two star restaurant raises expectations. Bardal did not disappoint at anything. Nice setting, friendly waiters. We went for the Bardal menu with the cheese-add-on (because who can resist a cheese cart anyway) which was plenty so glad we did not opt for the grand menu. Bardal offers two kinds of wine pairing. The entry level is called “Selection” while, confusingly, the ‘prestige’ level is called “wine pairing”. Normally we love a ‘prestige’ pairing but the price difference seemed too high for us (€215 versus €100). The wine certainly did not disappoint, in fact, I typically don’t always like the quality of the wine poured at wine pairings but I just like having my food paired with agreeable wines. The wines from Bardal’s Selection pairing however were outstanding, as was the pairing in general. Well deserved accolades from Michelin! Muchas Gracias!

One of the best food experiences in my life. Bardal from the chef Benito Gomez is an incredible choice in the hearth of Ronda. Strongly suggest that you take the menu with the paired wines as well. The restaurant is casual, but the food is spectacular and the chef Benito is super accessible.

One word: excellent. The food, the flavours, the wine pairings, the service, the setting. This was our introduction to Spanish star cuisine and we could not find a fault if we wanted. A menu at Bardal is the perfect follow-up to a visit to the Picasso Museum in Malaga. Because Benito Gómez and his outstanding crew achieve the same degree of abstraction (in terms of tastes and flavours) combined with a substantial concreteness that the painter does. This was really something...thank you.

I had dinner with the wine pairing, which I would highly recommend, although be prepared for 10 glasses of wine. The food is astonishing, the service was fantastic and the atmosphere as one would expect - hushed and relaxed. Bardal justifies its two stars and is a must visit if you’re in Ronda and enjoy fine dining.

Nice place where you can have a break and some Spanish tapas. However tapas are just based on bread or toasts, nothing really cooked from the kitchen. We were not impressed with the service of the waiter.

If you want gourmet tapas, this is the place to come! Everything was so flavourful, our waiter was super helpful, friendly and spoke perfect English and the location is central - on a quaint little street - but not in the noisy, touristic center. What's more, the price is unbelievably inexpensive for the quality. Highly recommend!

We popped in for a quick beer and snack just before closing time. The vibe was pleasant, but the food itself didn't quite blow us away.

We went for lunch and the waiter was very kind and let us order in our broken Spanish but helped us in English when we needed it. We ended up ordering quite a few different tapas plates as they were all so great! The wine we had was lovely and chilled and it was difficult to not sit there all day enjoying the food and wine!

TLDR: great tasting food, great price, not so good if you’re Spanish isn’t great. Seemed less busy than the restaurant beside it but I wanted to try. I thought the tapas were delicious as well as the wine, and a very good price as well. The only downside was that the service was very rude. Unfortunately my Spanish is not that great (although I’m learning) once the servers knew that the quality of service tanked. The server basically tossed the tapas plates onto the table even though I said a polite gracias and got nothing in return. She seemed frustrated by my presence. This was my first restaurant experience in Ronda and it unfortunately put a really bad taste in my mouth for the trip. Afterwards a couple came in beside me who also spoke a little Spanish, I noticed they got a different menu from me (the one in the google photos) which had some dishes that were different than the English menu I was given, although I appreciate they even have an English menu I had prepared beforehand some dishes from the Spanish menu I wanted to try (that weren’t on the english menu). The price and taste is tempting but I won’t be back.

The tappas are good, but not the best of the best. Then, if you look at the price and the quality, this is a place to have your local tapas. We only had to pay € 22 for 8 tapas and three glasses of wine. Potatosalad is very good. The biggest surprise are the sweet aubergines with a touch of salt. A favourite.

Only a minute from Plaza España, but this felt like a hidden gem, despite the multi-lingual menus on display in the lane on Calle Pedro Romero. Perhaps it was because we were in relatively early (8pm) on a Monday night in January, but we were the only seated diners in our whole time there, but there was also a flow of regulars at the bar which is always a good sign. Our mission had been paella, so 2 paella mixtas (12EUR each) it was. A reassuring wait (so definitely made fresh!) of about 30 minutes later, we were well rewarded. Very tasty and generously laden with prawn, squid, pork, mussels etc. Washed down by a Ronda wine (14 EUR). Limited/no English from waiter, but even if you speak no Spanish, I imagine you could manage fine with the help of the English menu. Not touristy, definitely recommended!

Extremely friendly waiter sets El Porton apart. The Rabo de Toro with patatas is excellent and the location couldn't be better for visitors walking along the main street; a stone's throw from the Plaza de Toros. We live in Ronda and appreciate the warmth and authenticity here.

This place was very average. Lamb chops were incredibly small. Like from a kids menu. Paella was soooo skimpy on seafood. Pizza was burnt. Dont let the small village feel fool you. Please don't come here. I never leave this bad of a review.

Lovely little tapas bar restaurant with a range of traditional meals. We sat outside in the alley in the shade of 2 buildings and had a range of vegan paella, seafood paella, swordfish, croquettes, chips and pizza! A bottle of local rose and some beers. It was pricier than the previous day at the smaller but quaint Grazalema!

Bit far from the bridge, good service and authentic drinks and food. Worth for the money i woukd say inexpensive. For veg: Generally there are no vegitarian dishes in this area 😊

Beware of tourist rip-offs! Don't go to this restaurant. The food is overpriced and cold, and the oxtail is all bones. You pay €16 for wobbly fries with a fried egg! The chairs are extremely uncomfortable! I can't even express my disappointment with this restaurant!

Nice local atmosphere, friendly staff, but the food was average and a bit overpriced for what they offered. Also, they had run out of some menu options and we were not informed about it until ordering. At the end, we ordered: one rosado frito with cooked potatoes (potatoes were really nice); one entrecot de ternera, which comes with fries (we ordered medium but it came as rare), and two suggestions of the day - one calamari (whole body cooked), which was ok but a bit tasteless, and one "meatballs" made of fish - which none of us liked. Overall, place is ok, food is a bit of a hit and miss, but expensive for what they offer.

We come to Ronda often, and love eating here. Finding this little gem of a restaurant is easy. Start off at the Alameda Park, that public garden that has the fabulous views across the Plain of Ronda. At the entrance to the park is a big church with a flight of steps and two palm trees – it’s the church of Nuestra Señora de la Merced. Go up the street to the right of the church, Calle Jerez. Just 30 seconds along past the church, with an orange tree outside, is the Bar Las Castañuelas. Don’t be afraid to go in. It looks like a modest bar, it *IS* a modest bar, you will need to push through the customers thronging around the television and the bar at the front. At the back is the dining room with not very many tables. It is charming, with traditional tilework on the walls, a wrought-iron screen separating it from the front bar, and if you got here early, a table for you. As there are so few tables, it is a good idea to get here early, say by 1.30, to be sure of not missing out. We often come here after doing the long walk down to the Plain of Ronda below the town, so we stop off at Las Castañuelas en route, just as we are staring our trek, and reserve a table for 2 hours’ time. What to eat? Just about anything! There is the menu – called La Carta – with all typical Andalusian things to try. It will be freshly cooked for you in the kitchen by the wife of Paco the owner. He is also the waiter – elderly chap with a shock of white hair – and when he gives you the menu he will probably recite, very fast, in Spanish, a list of other things that were looking good when he went to the market that morning. Never mind if you can't understand what he offers - just read the Carta. Whatever you choose, it will be fresh, of good quality, cooked to perfection, and you will enjoy it. There may be other customers. I say "may be", because Ronda people eat late, so you may be in and out before they turn up. There will be perhaps a family group, a couple of businessmen, and a table of Ladies who Lunch - probably widowed rather than divorced. People watching can be fun here. In 10 or 12 years of going there half a dozen times or more each year, I have never ever seen anyone foreign. You may be the first ones! Get ready to practice your Spanish, though . . . TIP 1: For four adults, you might like to have, say, 2 or 3 dishes at first to share "para compartir", then a main course each. TIP 2: How about, as the sharing dishes: gambas cocidas (boiled prawns - delicious!), salmonetitos (fried baby red mullet) and chipirones (fried baby squid). If Paco hasn't got those, he'll suggest an alternative. TIP 3: Don't have coffee there. Nothing wrong with it, but a five or ten minute stroll (depending on how much you ate!) up the road brings you to the Hotel Reina Victoria. Go to the bar (through the front door and then all the way to the right). Go outside there and have your coffee on the edge of the precipice. You will now know why it is our favourite place to eat in Ronda.

You don’t need to be a great photographer when the place itself is effortlessly photogenic. Just step down from the main bridge to the lower level, where you’ll find a freely accessible part of the gardens. There, you can enjoy the company of local cats, a view into the Tejo canyon, and a welcome break from the noise above.

A great place to have a quiet picnic in the shade of the trees. Now in May the roses are blooming and they are really beautifully arranged. Just be aware that it can get very hot. Can see the old Bridge from lower and new bridge from upper part of this park.

No prices and no menu anywhere, inside or out. We sat and were ignored by the server who came to serve a table who sat 5 minutes after us. Important to note that the place wasn't full at all. Not sure if they don't serve tourists, but it definitely felt that way.

None of our party were impressed with the food. Creative but from the several dishes we had there was only one which had a good taste. The waitress also seemed to agree the dishes were not so impressive.

This is definitely one of the best. The food is delicious. The stewed veggie and meatballs are amazing. The service is fantastic, so sweet. We sat outside in the little plaza, facing fountains in the cute garden. There’s a guitarist playing. The atmosphere is great. Bathroom is extremely clean and beautiful.

The food was extraordinary, and every dish had incredible flavors and presentation - All our guests loved it and had an unforgettable experience!! This was a surprise find on a beautiful square in Ronda. It's a picture perfect setting with dining tables on the cobbles and customers enjoying the beauty and tranquility. The 3 people who looked after us were wonderful, kind and made some great recommendations. We started with a vermouth on ice and with dinner had a local rosé which they recommend and was yum. Our food was a mixture of salmon belini, steak, tostado, chorizo - the croissant with a variety of yummy topping was insanely good. To finish we had two desserts - the lemon one was the best dessert I've had in years. Make sure to have it. Five stars all round!!!

Food is not tasty at all, lack of taste in the dishes and what they write on the menu is not what you actually get (cheaper cuts of meat for example) Jamon: they said the quantity was copious. Most probably were not even 100 grams and badly cut. Bread: the bread was not fresh, definitely from the previous day at least. Ensaladilla: balanced but nothing special Molletito con solomillo en manteca: we think the meat was not even solomillo in Manteca, a slice of roasted tasteless meat on the same old bread. Chorizitos: tasty and very good quality, but definitely not made by the restaurant, just heated up. 80€ for all this nonsense. Very disappointed. Picture of the food uploaded by restaurant posts is NOT what you will get. Very sad.

Beautiful Moorish homestead with explanation ready to go for children

An old Muslim house that has been so much renovated, that has lost his prime character! The animated film is very nice for children (English/Spanish) but also for adults....

Not sure. Bought ticket at main tourist office. Sign in the door says open 10-18h00. But a lady came out of the ticket office at 14h40 and told us it was closed for the day.

Don't expect much, in fact don't expect anything, and you won't be disappointed. Empty shell of an old Moorish house with some original partial decoration. I can't really recommend.

Don’t waste your time here. I wouldn’t recommend even if it was free. Nothing at all here.

We have been to Alhambra so this "small" house want really special compared to it. It does have some oriental elements. But very few.

Visited in August 2024 Beautiful view of the valley below the town. There are areas to walk down for a price. Worth staying a night and visiting.

Ronda is not a big city, so you can see all the best sights in a couple of days while just walking, it's a beautiful place and the views are outstanding . 💯💯💯♥️

Modern Tapas Bar in Ronda A stylish and well-located tapas bar, perfect for a quick evening stop while exploring Ronda. The exterior looks great at night with fire torches adding to the atmosphere. Prices are slightly high for Spain, but the food is worth it. The satay skewers were excellent, and while the mushroom croquettes were a bit too soft for our taste, the spinach and ham ones were good. A good place for a quick and tasty bite in the evening.

Fantastic selection of tapas and friendly staff. We were made to feel at home in this restaurant and enjoyed the evening meal so much we decided to return for breakfast the next day. This is a very popular place and the food and wine were delicious! I would definitely recommend this to all. A gem in Ronda!!

Stopped here for a break. Too early for lunch but the bacon and cheese breakfast sandwich was lunch sized. Great value at €5. Servers were really friendly as well. Highly recommend!

Excellent food and service. We had lunch and returned for dinner. Ensalada di casa, patatas bravas, garlic prawns and gildas, delicious. Lovely blonde female owner, her son and other staff provide impeccable service. It’s constantly busy, but you are always greeted with a friendly smile. Highly recommended.

When we arrived, we let the staff know we were on a tight schedule because our bus was leaving at 4:20 PM. They seated us right away and reassured us we'd have enough time which we absolutely did. The tapas were excellent, and every staff member who served us was wonderful. This restaurant was recommended by our tour guide, and after visiting the bridge we were really hoping to enjoy some tapas. Thank you to the team for making it happen. Cheers!

Disappointing. The atmosphere is welcoming but that's it. The food itself, its presentation and the staff didnt meet the expectations. It's a pity because the restaurant has potential. We tried 5 different tapas. Perhaps the other dishes are better but it's hard for us to understand the 4.2 stars. Moderate efforts could really make this place very enjoyable.
