Nestled in the town of Conwy, The Smallest House In Great Britain is a charming and quirky attraction that shouldn't be missed. This minuscule former fisherman's residence, known as Quay House, measures just 1.8 meters wide and 3 meters high. With only two rooms, this bright red one-up-one-down dwelling was inhabited until May 1900 by the last owner, Robert Jones.
Lovely, worth the long queue and £1.50. Doesn't take long to look round as it is small, and I had to take my rucksack off to look up the ladder. The lady on the door has a little stall and happily tells you about it and poses\takes your photo whilst waiting to go in 😍
Ilona R — Google review
We came across this little gem completely by chance, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. It's just 6 feet wide and 10 feet tall! It was once home to a remarkably tall fisherman - 6'3". The visit itself is short and sweet, just a few minutes per person, but it leaves a lasting impression. While you can’t go upstairs, you can peek into the upper level. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the entry fee is refreshingly low, making it a quirky and budget-friendly stop for families, history lovers, or anyone curious about Britain’s tiniest home.
Aleks B — Google review
It’s a good visit if you are around the town, takes 2-3 mins. Ticket charges £1.5 per adult. You can buy directly from the front door from the lady. The history and habitant is pre recorded and playing when you enter the house.
Maddy S — Google review
Tucked along Conwy’s harbour wall, the Smallest House in Great Britain is a quirky and charming stop that captures everyone’s curiosity. Measuring just 1.8 metres wide and 3.05 metres high, it was once home to a local fisherman named Robert Jones, who lived there until 1900. Despite its tiny size, the house is surprisingly cosy, with a living area downstairs and a small sleeping loft above. It’s a quick visit but full of character—friendly guides share its fascinating history, and it’s perfect for photos beside Conwy’s medieval walls. Entrance cost £1.50 and its worth to look inside this tiny house.
Przemyslaw K — Google review
A lovely experience, a lot of history about this little house. From the little old couple of lived here to the 6 foot 5 fisherman how he veer lived there I'll never know, so much stuff in such a little house. Recommend going, there will be a queue outside the house to see, both card and cash payments are taken. And trinkets can be bought afterwards on the little trolley. Also the staff are in traditional Welsh lady dress, what better way to be proud and welsh, Cymru am byth 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
Tom J — Google review
I’ve seen this house from a distance before and loved the chance to step inside and see this little museum properly. Well worth the £1.50 entry fee to go in, look around and see this little gem.
James B — Google review
I recently had the chance to visit the Smallest House in Britain, and honestly, it was such a cute and unique experience! ❤️ The house is tiny—so tiny that you can hardly imagine someone living inside it. Yet, it has a special charm that immediately catches your heart. Standing in front of it feels like stepping into a fairytale. What makes the place even more beautiful is its location. Right in front, there are plenty of boats floating on the water, each one different from the other. The combination of the sea breeze, the boats, and this little red house makes the view absolutely unforgettable. 🌊🚤 It’s not just a house—it’s a part of Britain’s history and culture, and definitely a must-visit spot for anyone traveling here. 👉 Overall: • Uniqueness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ • Beauty: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ • Experience: Truly recommended ❤️
Shaik K — Google review
Absolutley amazing place to visit, the lady outside selling tickets was lovely, she offered to take a group photo of us infront of the house and spoke to the kids about the history of the house and the man who lived there. Once inside, the house has alot of information dotted around and there is a tape recording explaining the history of the house and the tennant who lived in it. Brilliant place to visit for all ages.

Watsons Bistro is a charming family-run restaurant located in Conwy, offering modern Welsh dining with a seasonal menu featuring locally-sourced produce and daily changing specials. Situated near the old town walls, this iconic bistro provides a welcoming atmosphere and outdoor seating on the patio. The restaurant is known for its beautifully presented dishes, including options like king prawns, deep-fried brie, and prawn cocktail.
Had been told it was good, how wrong could that be. Good was a terrible under statement , we rocked on up to the very unassuming entrance and dining area, We were shown to our seat in the conservatory lean to. The staff were very attentive and that specialness was now beginning to show in attentiveness the staff forged. Very small menu but even so the choice was already hard as most were very appealing along with a special board choice. from the great staff to the amazing food and choice we en-counted we were had a great dine out thanks
Richie W — Google review
Classic British food, great flavour combinations and the menu well thought out, with a nice wine selection. Fish skin wasn't crispy, which was a shame and the reason it wasn't 5*, but the rest was great. The custard tart was the real hero of the meal, and was absolutely heavenly. Service was very friendly.
Sam L — Google review
Nice atmosphere. It’s cosy. Service was horrible. There were multiple service staff on site but they were not attentive or was not able action simple orders. Ordered 2 glasses of wine and it was not delivered till I asked. Ordered a bottle of still water that was not delivered as well. The worst part was the tap water bottle where the cap was mouldy. Ask for new bottle and again cap was mouldy. 3rd bottle was the same as well. Only highlight was the steak which was really well cooked. Definitely won’t be going back again.

We went here per the recommendation of our bed & breakfast nearby and were sure glad we did! This was in August 2022. Service: fast and friendly. Food: We got two courses (31.25 pounds at the early bird rate) and tried the salmon, chicken, cheese cake, and sticky toffee pudding. All of these dishes were super yummy, but the pudding might have been our favorite.
Emily B — Google review
We're sure to eat at Watson's every time we visit Conwy. Their dishes are always perfectly seasoned and generally rich and full of deep flavour rather than lighter and fresh flavoured. Presentation is impeccable, definitely a wow factor when your food arrives They really know how to treat lamb and fish (as you'd hope from a restaurant in a Welsh coastal town) and desserts are to die for
Jay H — Google review
Excellent service and food. Even though the menu wasn't huge everything we've tried was Excellent. Couldn't believe haddock could taste so good! Proper gourmet restaurant, would definitely recommend

Tasty, well presented and delightful food. Brilliantly located in Conwy town centre. An absolute must for anyone visiting or local. I have dined here on several occasions and am yet to be disappointed. Keep up the good work Watsons don't let that standard slip!

L's Coffee & Bookshop is a charming independent coffee shop located on the High Street in Conwy. This family-run establishment offers a delightful selection of barista-style coffee, delicious cakes, and a great food menu. The cafe has built a strong community presence with weekly quizzes and events, making it a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. In addition to familiar lunchtime favorites like sandwiches and cake, L's also features daily specials such as King Prawns with sweet chilli dipping sauce.
What a beautiful dog friendly cafe. On arrival we were seated. We looked at the menu and decided to have vanilla late and breakfast. Excellent coffee and the breakfast was delicious. It was beautifully cooked. They used local produce too 👌 The staff were attentive and polite. We would definitely recommend.
Lesley C — Google review
Stopped here for some breakfast and a coffee. They had a vegan option on the menu that was delicious. The coffee was also fantastic and they had plant based milk option. We noticed that they had some lovely looking pastry’s and some of these were vegan. We had the cinnamon scroll and pain au chocolat. We highly recommend this spot for a good coffee and some nice food. It’s also dog friendly and they were happy to accommodate our two dogs. The dogs were even offered some dog friendly sausages.

Best bit of bacon my wife’s ever had! We were staying in Conwy for a week and found ourselves here for breakfast on multiple occasions. Food- I had the full English and it was terrific, perfect portions, fresh ingredients, nothing greasy and very filling. Great way to start the day! My wife had an “incredibly high quality smoothy” and it is clear they use really fresh produce and take the product seriously. They are super dog friendly! The only negatives- It can be hard to get a seat and when you are in it can feel cramped, this is clearly because of how great the place is and so many people want in on it!
Tom S — Google review
In conwy for 2days & visited both days. Afternoon visit for cake & pistachio latte. Again for breakfast the next day, we arrived just after opening on the Sunday & were the first customers & had a nice table in the window. We had the special breakfast (warm cinnamon bun, granola, yogurt & honey) Breakfast bap , latte & ginger beer tea. The breakfast was presented lovely. I loved all the small touches with the flowers. The warm cinnamon bun was amazing I would drive from manchester just to eat that cinnamon bun again. Staff friendly & polite. Very quick service. Only one suggestion would be to put the prices on the specials boards so you don't have to ask. This place really is a little gem in conwy, just the presentation of the drinks & food is fabulous. I can't wait to return again. Don't let it put you off either if you don't have a dog with it being a dog friendly cafe as on both visits I only saw a few dogs & was no issuse. Thanks for making our weekend so lovely.

Stopped in Conwy en route to Liverpool from Nefyn. As per reviews service and food was great - better than we expected and happy with the price. It was busy with people coming and going but we managed to squeeze in the front window with a dog, 1yo, 4yo and two adults and we really enjoyed it and would go back. Note that Toilets are located two doors down in the castle hotel. Location is ideal with Parking on the street, plenty of shops and the bay one end. Friendly Quick Accommodating

This wasn't our 1st choice for breakfast, but if we'd known how good it was... it absolutely would've been. Staff were welcoming and attentive and the breakfast was superb... easily the best we'd had all week. If we find ourselves in this neck of the woods again, another visit is a no-brainer. Highly recommended!!!

We were exploring around Conwy Castle when we stumbled upon the cutest little spot—L’s Coffee and Bookshop—and we’re so glad we did! Nestled just off the street, the cozy, welcoming vibe pulled us in right away. Think warm wood, comfy corners, and the smell of fresh coffee and books—basically, heaven. But what made it even better? They serve matcha tea! I’d been craving it since I landed in Wales, and after five days of searching, L’s came to the rescue. We were lucky to grab a window seat, perfect for people-watching as we sipped and munched. I had the Bacon, Halloumi & Sweet Chili Bagel (a combo I didn’t know I needed!) with my long-awaited matcha. My partner went all in with a juicy burger, plus L’s Granola and Yoghurt Bowl topped with mixed berries, paired with coffee. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and just what we needed after a morning of sightseeing. The staff were lovely and made us feel right at home, and the location couldn’t be more perfect—just a short stroll from the castle. If you’re in Conwy and looking for a charming cafe with great food, friendly vibes, and yes, matcha—this is the place!

I had a fantastic experience here today! Brilliant service from a young confident girl, very impressed. I had a matcha which was divine, and a gorgeous pistachio croissant. I would recommend everyone to visit this cafe! Thanks Gaz and the crew 🙌🙌

Conwy Quay is a charming waterfront area in Conwy, offering delightful ice cream stands and fish and chips shops during the summer months. The quay provides stunning views of the estuary throughout the year, with benches available for visitors to relax and take in the atmosphere. The surrounding scenery includes towering town walls and boats floating on the water, along with occasional sightings of bottlenose dolphins.
Attended pirates festival held here. It was really fun to watch people dressed. There was lots of boozing and songs. Credit goes to organizers. This place is definitely worth a walk with boats with castle in back
Akaash P — Google review
This compact little harbour, with its fishermen's houses nestling against the town's medieval fortifications, provides a pleasant respite from the bustle of the streets. I spent a relaxing hour here on a short visit to Conwy. Pleasure craft are moored alongside trawlers and fishing boats, and there are lovely views of the castle, the little town of Deganwy across the estuary, and rugged mountains just visible in the distance. There's a kiosk where I bought some delicious ice-cream, a pub that was built right through the town walls and, between February and October, boat trips both upriver and down towards the open sea (there was a board giving sailing times in front of a souvenir kiosk). I certainly recommend you go and see the Smallest House in Great Britain. You often have to queue to get in because there's only room inside for a couple of people at a time, but the visit only takes a few minutes and is really interesting. There's parking, but only for a small number of cars, at the far end of the quay, and public toilets (not the nicest to visit, but they're free!) inside the medieval gateway leading to the High Street.
Valerie H — Google review
With great views in all directions, good place for a stroll. There are a few memorials dotted around and an interesting piece of mussels art. Free to visit.

Bar
Nestled in the charming town of Conwy, the Bank of Conwy is a delightful transformation from its former life as an HSBC bank into a vibrant bar that locals adore. This unique venue boasts an impressive selection of craft beers, real ales, cocktails, and fine wines, all served within the stunning confines of a Grade II listed building. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming—perfect for those looking to unwind with friends over light bites rather than indulge in a full sit-down meal.
Nice place with a good choice of beers. Lots of different styles including some local options. We didn't eat but the food we saw looked good 👀

Visited with my young son as he was thirsty, everywhere was closing and we were waiting for our train. Inside it was quiet, I was served straight away, the bar lady was really nice. Prices were reasonable and I'd definitely recommend the Farmhouse Pyder they had on tap from Gwynt Y Ddraig. It was delicious.
Simon M — Google review
The transformation of a former bank into a vibrant food and drink establishment is truly remarkable. It offers a distinctive and captivating ambiance, providing a unique place to unwind and enjoy oneself. The toasties served here are exceptionally delightful, crafted with love and care. What makes this place even more intriguing is the downstairs area, which was once the bank's vault. It has been ingeniously repurposed as a seating area, lending a cool and atmospheric vibe. It also serves as a "jail cell" for the alcoholic drinks, adding a playful touch to the experience. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the wide selection of draft beers is simply unparalleled. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this extraordinary establishment.

Varnish on table surfaces was soft and sticky. It gave me the feeling that everything needed a good clean. I wouldn’t eat there again, but ok for a drink. Friendly staff.

Nice pub in a bank building, the vault was downstairs and has been converted to sitting areas. The bank manager's office is a nice sitting area too. Looks like a locals hangout and dog friendly. The burger and pulled pork sandwich were good.

Was walking around, trying to find a place to eat, which catered for not only a vegetarian diet but for kids too.. We then came across this gem. Art deco was pretty cool and the vibe was so welcoming and friendly. Amazing for food, great options for "little 'un's" (kids) too! Staff were lovely, food was hot, fresh and fast. -In love with the pub dog, who was incredibly cute! So, this establishment was dog friendly too which is a nice touch! Aberconwy House is a well-preserved 14th-century stone and half-timbered merchant's house, showcasing historic furniture and art. The tiny medieval dwelling spans four rooms over two floors, each representing different eras of its use. Despite its small size, the National Trust has maintained the house for visitors to explore. The ground floor houses a National Trust shop while the furnished upper rooms depict daily life from various periods in history.
This beautiful old merchant’s house has recently reopened as a second hand bookstore. Quality donated books at a reasonable price. I bought my Xmas reading books for a total of £3.50. It’s manned by lovely, friendly, National Trust volunteers. Open Thursday-Saturday 10-4.

Great little place to visit if you're already in Conwy. There's not a huge amount to see so I wouldn't make a special trip, but the house is very characterful and the staff we met were amazing.
Jim J — Google review
This is a free to visit property. It is signposted as a bookshop but at the back of the shop is a door that takes you upstairs. There isn't much to see as they took all the furniture out during COVID pandemic. It's now used as a community space. It's a short visit maybe 15 mins ay most. They do stamp the national trust passport.
Simon A — Google review
Interesting old merchants house. Reasonable prices ticket if you aren't in the National Trust
Penelope L — Google review
A medieval town house steeped in history and full of atmosphere. The rooms are dark and the wooden floors are visibly sloping on the timber-framed upper storey. You need to be aware of low wooden beams and raised thresholds. Each room has furniture and artefacts from a different period of history. I found the kitchen with its curious hanging bread crate particularly fascinating. The guides were welcoming, enthusiastic and a mine of information and the printed info gave me an insight into the lives of the people who lived here in past centuries. The ground floor shop has some beautiful gifts/souvenirs and good books. Well worth a visit!
Valerie H — Google review
Pretty interesting old house. It is very small but a no brainer if you’re a member of the national trust which we are. I can’t comment on the value of you have to pay. They had an activity for the kids and there were volunteers in almost every room ready to tell you about the place.
M J — Google review
This is a very interesting historic building with lots of potential for visitors. The room guide on the middle floor was charming and provided some good insights into the history. Her efforts were the real highlight, though, in a National Trust site that feels a bit neglected and could do a lot more with a bit more resource. There is very little information within the historic rooms, so there's little to keep you here, and no audio guide. Conpared with Plas Mawr (a bigger building, granted, but also shown off to its full potential), this seems a bit under-resourced. Some investment in research into the property, an audio guide and more coherent way of showing the rooms could make this really special. There's a really good shop in the basement which seemed the most popular area on our visit!
Cathy C — Google review

Conwy Castle is a remarkably well-preserved 13th-century fortress located in an estuary setting. Built by King Edward between 1283 and 1287, it boasts scenic battlement views and royal apartments that are the most intact in Wales. The castle features a high curtain wall, eight magnificent towers, and spiral staircases within the towers that visitors can climb.
We visited Conwy Castle on a Sunday in autumn, and it was such a wonderful experience! I’m not sure how it looks in other seasons, but in late October and early November, the view from the top of the castle is absolutely breathtaking. The trees around the town are painted in so many beautiful autumn colours — it’s truly a spectacular sight from above! The castle itself is very well preserved and tidy. We climbed up one of the towers with our 10-year-old son — and it was a big moment for him because he’s afraid of heights. It actually turned into a great way for him to face his fear! If you visit with kids, I’d recommend being extra careful when going up the stone stairs and pathways — they’re uneven and can be a bit tricky. But it’s definitely worth it. We had such a lovely and memorable weekend. The ticket line was short, everything was smooth, and we left impressed and happy. The highlight for me was definitely the view from the top — absolutely stunning, especially with the autumn colours. A place worth visiting for sure!
Elly M — Google review
Conwy Castle is amazing! The place is huge and the views from the towers are just stunning—you can see the whole town, the sea, and the hills all around. Walking along the walls feels like a little adventure, and it’s super fun to explore all the towers and stairways. Everything is really well looked after, and there are signs around that explain the history in a simple way. The town itself is also lovely—perfect for a wander and a bite to eat after the castle. The only downside that there is no free guidance booklet with history clues. Definitely one of nice spots I’ve visited in North Wales!
Ibrahim W — Google review
What a castle! Recommend getting a tour from the conwy visitor center in order to get some more history / information as I did. This castle was built for defense and you can tell. Ontop of bedrock, many different gates to enter, thick walls, cliffside and with water surrounding made it almost * impenetrable! Paid parking available nearby.
Ar A — Google review
We visited Conwy Castle on a beautifully warm sunny September day whilst staying on holiday in one of the cottages right next to it! It got so warm I had to go back and get changed in to a dress from jeans before going in! We had been before years ago; it’s still one of the most beautiful castles you’ve ever seen! Definitely one of the best preserved after all these years too! 💛 The castle itself was stunning and so fun to look around! 🏰 You can go up in the towers and walk around the top! We don’t go all the way to the top in some as it was so high and we were a bit scared! The cottage we stayed in had some of the castle wall behind it but not the part you could walk along so that was a nice view too! There is even the stocks still there and a big chair to take photos in! The views of the sea are absolutely breathtaking! 🌊💙🩵 You can look over the suspension bridge and the town too! 🌁 It’s definitely worth a trip to if you’re in Conwy! You won’t be disappointed! 😆 The gift shop has a great selection too and price to get in isn’t too bad as there’s so much to look around at! It was very busy even on a September weekday!
Stephanie F — Google review
An absolute must-visit! Conwy Castle is breathtaking from the moment you see it. The views from the towers are stunning – you get a full panoramic of the town, the estuary, and even the mountains in the distance. It’s like stepping back in time. The architecture is incredibly well-preserved, and there’s plenty of space to explore without feeling rushed. The walk along the castle walls is a real highlight. It’s perfect for history lovers, families, or anyone who enjoys a bit of adventure with their sightseeing. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s lots of information available about the castle’s history. Well worth the entrance fee. Just make sure to wear comfy shoes – there are a lot of steps! Would definitely recommend it if you’re visiting North Wales. Plenty car parks (pay and display) near by

A very interesting castle or ruin, like all of Edward I's. Even more impressive with the Conwy Suspension Bridge. The castle is definitely worth a visit. However, the parking situation is terrible, especially if you want to see the town. There is a free car park a little way outside, about a 5-minute walk away, during the week. That's great because you can then see the town without being under time pressure.
Siouxsie S — Google review
An amazing and imposing castle with the walls surrounding the town. It’s free to go up and walk around sections of the wall (if you have a head for heights) and enjoy the views. Lovely visitor centre with great shop and free to use toilets (unlike the tourist information centre across the road!). Didn’t have time to go into castle but certainly will try to get back for a visit sometime.

Fascinating castle and history, cafe and shop. Easy parking next to the castle. Some high towers with narrow stairway. Great views across the harbour and sea. Interesting place to visit. We enjoyed our visit.

Italian restaurant
Alfredos Restaurant is a beloved local spot known for its authentic Italian cuisine and rustic ambiance. While famous for their delicious pizzas, the restaurant also offers an extensive menu to cater to diverse tastes. Situated on Lancaster Square, it is renowned for classic Italian dishes that transport diners to the heart of Italy. The warm and inviting atmosphere, along with friendly and attentive staff, make it a perfect place for a relaxing meal. With its popularity among both locals and tourists, booking in advance is recommended.
Probably the best restaurant I got to try in Conwy. Had the lasagna and ir was very satisfying, great taste and made with quality ingredients. The server was also super friendly and fast, he made sure that we were well taken care of. The atmosphere was really nice, with cute art and chill music. I hope to come back someday!

We visited Alfredo’s last night. Haven’t yet been since they have been under new ownership and rebranded. We were very pleasantly surprised. We came at 7.30pm on a Friday night, it was relatively busy and we were attended to promptly. A young waiter who brought us to our table asked if we would like water for the table, I obviously said yes… However we weren’t made aware there would be a £4 charge for it, but I also could have asked, so not to worry. Our drinks order was taken quickly and as we’d already looked at the menu ahead of time we knew what we were having, so when they came back with the drinks we ordered. We went straight for mains, the Penne Genovese, garlic breads, chunky chips and a Picante Pizza. It arrived very quickly and boiling hot, we were impressed. The food was delicious and something different to what we were used to from an Italian restaurant. Their garlic bread was a little tough in the middle & the pasta sauce seemed to have some creaminess in there even though it was it wasn’t listed on the menu (with me trying to stick to a calorie deficit that’s probably just me nit picking) but it wasn’t enough to put us off our meal as it was delectable. We also had the tiramisu to share for dessert. Their drinks menu is vast and I was suprised to see they had Dirty Martinis and Picantes (spicy margaritas) as cocktails, which are made to perfection, as they are my favourite and I can never usually find them in establishments. We would recommend this restaurant for any type of occasion you have planned. The interior is lovely and the staff are very attentive and polite. Very refreshing.

Food was amazing. I ordered the steak sandwich, and immediately after the first bite, I knew it was the best sandwich I am going to ever had in my entire life. Sandwich was £12 but it definitely worth it

Visited this beautiful restaurant last Wednesday evening and loved it!! Our server, Lucas, was brilliant and very attentive, whilst not being over the top. He kept us informed about the status of our meals and was very helpful. The food was delicious and there was an excellent wine list and range of drinks. We will definitely be going back there on our next visit to Conwy...loved it!!

Fabulous food and really friendly and efficient service. Very good value too, which is something you don’t get to say much these days. We both had 3 courses with drinks and the bill was less than £65. I could not recommend highly enough. Will definitely be back.

Alfrados in Conwy is simply outstanding! We three ladies visited twice during our week’s stay and were blown away both times. The food is exceptional—every dish a triumph—and the staff are top-rate: warm, attentive, and genuinely delightful. No room for improvement whatsoever. We’ll be back next year without fail!
Rachel C — Google review
Tried to get in here on a Friday night in September. Said wait to be seated, asked if we’d booked and said no, the restaurant was half empty mind you! Only to be told couldn’t have a table for an hour when there were many free ones! I know sometimes restaurants are fully booked but unless all these folks were coming at same time then I find it hard to believe we couldn’t have had a table but looking at reviews of how bad the food is maybe it was a good thing! Shame as I was rather looking forward to trying it! Just left after being told an hour wait and went elsewhere! Went to another hotel restaurant on our last holiday and they just asked a table that had finished if they could leave if they didn’t mind so we could have their table and they did give up table so we could eat there, much more accommodating and how a business should be run!

Bar
Signatures Restaurant, located in the Aberconwy Resort and Spa on the North Wales coast, offers a lavish dining experience with contemporary British cuisine. Owned by Executive Chef Jimmy Williams and his wife Louise, this top-notch restaurant boasts a theatre-style kitchen where guests can watch the highly trained team prepare freshly made dishes. The friendly staff are knowledgeable about the menu, which features creative dishes highlighting contemporary Welsh flavors using local and seasonal ingredients.
We came here for lunch. A little bit of a hidden gem. My favourite was a soup of the day, which was celery soup. However, everything was perfect, with just the right amount of everything to leave space for dessert. Nice place to come here if you want to feel special or have a treat. The only bone I have to pick, I found the restaurant a bit cold and kept my jacket on. Parking is free.
Andrea C — Google review
This is the first time eating at signatures after hearing such good things from my parents. I was eating with my partner and my parents this evening and we were looking forward to it. Upon arriving our table was not ready, which wasn't a problem as we enjoyed a drinks in the bar. What was a bit of let down, was the fact we were pressed to order our food before being seated. Once seated at our table, which was on the upper level looking into the kitchen, this is something that I love as I am a keen cook. However on this occasion I was shocked to see a chef putting food on plates with her hands. This is not a problem, but not wearing gloves when you have nail Polish on, is something that should not happen in any kitchen. We was served the starters and one dish was incorrect, which was corrected and was served as a complimentary dish. Putting this aside, the food was extremely good and of a high standard. However the pork belly that was part of the starter and one of the mains(little piggy and pork two ways). We found it a little strange, as it felt like cotton wool in your mouth and did not fit the dishes served(maybe it was lacking a glaze on it). This will not stop me from eating here again. The team should be proud of the food that was served and the service that given.

This was a really pleasant experience, I normally get disappointed by so proclaimed fine dining restaurants, but the meal here was extremely well balanced and full of flavour! Even the vegetables were impressive 👀! My partner loved his stake, and I must say it was the best fish i ever had! And i am a very fussy neurodivergent 👀!
Lorena I — Google review
We told the chef that we were vegan, but we also like to eat fish. He changed his fish of the day menu to accommodate us instead of the extravagant cream sauce. He made a delightful relish of carrots and pickles, and topped the fish with breadcrumbs and parsley, I have never had my request accommodated so well. Thank you for the exquisite meal. I should mention to that there is a full vegetarian menu and any of it can be made Vegan. They allowed us to eat on the patio as the weather was magnificent. Usually that’s where you have drinks before you go into the proper dining room.

By far and away the most beautiful restaurant/bar I've ever had the pleasure to dine and drink in. This place is off the chart and the service from staff mainly Ciprian was exceptional. Totally was a beautiful ten out of ten lunch. I love this place. U beauty

We went here to try out the food after it was recommended as a Michelin Star restaurant. It was really good, I’m sure it would be better at night as we went during the day and nobody was eating in there. The food was very expensive and came in small portions but was very nice, especially the vegetables we had on the side. Service was excellent and we enjoyed our visit.

THIS MODERN RESTAURANT HAS BECOME A FAVOURITE OF OURS BECAUSE OF THE SUPER FRIENDLY SERVICE, THE AMAZING FOOD - ALWAYS SERVED PIPING HOT - THE RELAXED ATMOSPHERE, BUT MOSTLY BECAUSE OF THE INCREDIBLE COCKTAILS! THEY ARE SURELY THE BEST COCKTAILS IN NORTH WALES! THE MAN BEHIND THE BAR IS A TRUE MAGICIAN! I HAVE WAY TOO MANY OF THEM EVERY TIME WE VISIT. CLEAN. ALWAYS DIFFICULT TO GET A TABLE, BUT IF YOU CAN IT’S MORE THAN WORTH IT! GREAT VALUE, NOT OVERPRICED.

Plas Mawr, meaning "Great Hall," is a 16th-century residence located on Conwy High Street. Built between 1576 and 1585 by Robert Wynn, it is preserved by Cadw and offers self-guided audio tours. The house showcases original plasterwork in the bedrooms and Great Chamber, as well as Tudor technology in the kitchen. Visitors can explore the garden, courtyard, and climb to the tower for stunning views of Conwy.
Really great historical house. Great map and info sheet provided by the staff. Rooms most rooms are nicely decorated giving you some sense of life back in the day. The house itself is really interesting. Loved getting to see the ornate plastered walls and ceilings. Loved the freedom we had to explore the house and the climb to the tower was worth it (outstanding views). If you’re in Conwy you need to visit this place.

I was genuinely impressed by how beautifully preserved this townhouse is - like stepping straight into another century. Despite the bustle outside, it was surprisingly peaceful inside, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The staff were warm and welcoming, and there was so much to explore: a fascinating array of rooms and a charming Elizabethan garden filled with a variety of plants. The ornamental plasterwork was a real highlight. One particularly lovely moment was meeting a friendly woman who not only offered to take our photo but also gave us a delightful mini-lesson in Welsh pronunciation and language. It added such a personal touch to the experience. The gift shop was well-stocked with thoughtful souvenirs, including a great selection of magnets. All in all, a hidden gem that’s well worth a visit.

Plas Mawr is one of Britain’s finest surviving Elizabethan townhouses and a true gem of Conwy. Built between 1576 and 1585 for Robert Wynn, a wealthy merchant and member of the gentry, it reflects the prosperity and ambition of Tudor Wales. The house’s name means “Great Hall” in Welsh, and it lives up to it—every room is richly decorated with intricate plaster ceilings, painted walls, and period furnishings that bring the 16th century vividly to life. Beautifully restored and managed by Cadw, Plas Mawr offers a fascinating glimpse into the social status, family life, and craftsmanship of its time. It’s not just a historic house—it’s a journey straight into the world of the Welsh Renaissance. Entrance cost £10 for non Cadw members, toilets and gift shop available on the site too. Worth a visit
Przemyslaw K — Google review
This house is deceptively large! What you think is the house, on the street, is actually only the gatehouse and the main house is behind. Really homely house with some impressive original ceiling and wall mouldings, some decorated. There is an audio guide available which I recommend listening along to as it really brings the story of the house to life. Do visit the top of the tower for great views of the town. There is an admission fee but free for Cadw members. Gift shop and toilets on site.

I hadn't been to Plas Mawr in over 30 years. It was a favourite place to visit as a child. Back in the 80's they definitely leaned more in to haunting side of it. I don't think that even got mentioned on the tour this time. First off, this isn't a good place if you have mobility issues. Between the stairs, crooked floors and doorways that you have to duck to go through whilst also stepping over something, isn't the easiest of things. On entry, staff were FANTASTIC. Incredibly nice and polite. There were several other lovely staff members inside too. You get the option of taking a player round that scans things in different rooms and gives information and a story. This costs no extra and is a brilliant addition. There is also a room inside where you can watch videos about various things in the house. It's a great place to look around and it has plenty of seating in various areas around the house. Given it's age, a lot of the flooring has become very warped, you can even see the floor below in some of the gaps and splits. In some rooms, it can leave you feeling a bit dizzy walking around. If you're in Conwy, it's well worth a visit. I think it's even possible to get a dual ticket to also visit the castle too.
Simon M — Google review
Plas Mawr We visited Plas Mawr by chance, and it turned out to be one of the best things that happened during my trip to Wales. This is one of the most carefully preserved Elizabethan houses in the country, and everything is kept in pristine condition. I met Peter, a volunteer, who gave a fascinating insight into what life was like in that era. Every room is beautifully decorated in period style, and even the kitchen is set up with fresh ingredients to make it feel alive. It was absolutely lovely, and I strongly recommend a visit. You can also buy a joint ticket with Conwy Castle and save nearly £4 on each ticket – definitely worth it. There are toilets inside the house for visitors which, like the rest of the building, are very clean.

French restaurant
Restaurant
Paysanne is an intimate French restaurant in Deganwy, known for its upscale farmhouse cooking using locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant, which opened in 1988 and is currently run by the original owner's son, offers a charming and unobtrusive dining experience. With a focus on honest French provincial cuisine, Paysanne celebrates its twenty-fifth anniversary by serving traditional dishes made with indigenous Welsh produce.
We had a lovely meal at Paysanne with excellent service. It’s a small restaurant so do book ahead. Our favourite dish was the mushroom starter but everything was very good. We paid £50 per head (including tip) for 3 courses and a half litre carafe of wine. Will be coming back here

We were delighted when staying in a nearby Airbnb that Cai was able to squeeze us in last minute on Saturday night. What a treat! Beautiful french food, lovely atmosphere and a knowledgeable and friendly host. The option to order a carafe of wine is always greatly appreciated also. Highly recommend.

Visiting the area for a couple of days we had a great meal at Paysanne. It was very reasonable for the quality of the food and wine. The restaurant was busy and full so you definitely need to book in advance. We'd seen the menu in advance so knew there were good options for meat, fish and vegetarian eaters but there were extra fish options on the day which presumably varies depending on availability. Staff were friendly and accommodating and the owner was helpful with some particular requests our party had. As a bonus we parked right outside but there was also a car park across the road. We will definitely return when we are next in the area and recommend it as a quality place to go for a lovely meal

Cozy local restaurant, nice decoration and exquisite music to enjoy the provincial French cuisine. I loved the "special Cod with cheese crust". My husband ask for a Malbec bottle and it was great. Telfords Bistro is a must-visit spot in Conwy, offering a delightful dining experience. The locally sourced food, particularly the mussels, is highly recommended. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. This bistro stands out for its incredible seafood and fine dining options. Guests praise the fresh and delicious food as well as the welcoming and passionate owner.
Friendly service throughout, with attention to details, like polishing the wine glasses. The barman was particularly professional, attentive and ensured everything was running smoothly. The fish chowder was probably one of the best I've had. All the ingredients were locally sourced and fresh. Everything was homemade. Will definitely be back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Conwy by the castle. We had a wonderful experience overall, the food was absolutely superb, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. The setting and ambiance were equally impressive, stylish, welcoming, and a real treat to spend time in. Most of the service we received was attentive and professional. However, one of the waitresses who served us didn’t seem to be having the best day and gave the impression that things might have been a bit of a struggle for her. While she did her job, there was a noticeable lack of warmth. Everyone can have an off day, and we all have moments when we’re not at our best, so we didn’t let it take away from what was otherwise a 10/10 👜 handbag restaurant review. We’d definitely return and recommend it, especially for the fantastic food and lovely surroundings.

My husband 🇬🇧 and I 🇨🇦 were looking to find a place for dinner and ended up in Telford's Bistro. The ladies assisted us quickly and checked with kitchen staff if can take us for evening service as we are quite a bit early. Ordered the food and was lovely and tasty. My husband order chicken caear was lovely. I ordered Seafood Linguine and was tasty and lovely but when received it did not expect that I will get specific amount of mussels in shells which is just 3 pieces and one of them wasn't even open which quite disappointing. Had both of our pudding and find mine not really tasty as what I expect from panacotta. The only thing as well is we have not asked if we have any food allergy. All the presentations and tastes of food were good and location is right by the castle.
Billy M — Google review
We came to Telfords thanks to the great reviews they have. Located in the heart of Conwy town the restaurant is nicely decorated and the three young ladies greeted us warmly and professionally. The menu had some interesting dishes and we shared the fish fishes to enjoy as wide a variety as possible of these imaginative dishes. My only issue on the mink fish dish. With 6 nuggets of monk fish, one small Parma ham chip and an overdose of broccoli and potatoes I feel it is over priced and gives a sense of pretentious snobbery. Other than that we had a great time and a fantastic meal
David F — Google review
We visited Telfords Bistro on our first evening in Conwy. The interior was well decorated and a good atmosphere inside the restaurant (the outside is also beautiful!). The vibes were a little confused and I think the playlist that was on in the background was too loud and not the right style / music genre for the bistro. This small change to a classy instrumental playlist could really elevate the dining experience. The service was mediocre at times but we were attended to promptly and got all we needed. The wine list was extensive and the wine we selected was delightful. The menu was diverse yet well curated and had a lovely variety of seafood, meats and vegetarian options. The flavour profiles of each dish were wonderful (the Scallops dish had a delightfully sweet yet salty tang). I would personally prefer my seafood cooked slightly less as in places it was a bit rubbery. My partner and I enjoyed all 3 courses a lot! I would say it was a slightly overpriced menu compared to other locations in the area, however we had a lovely meal here and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone in Conwy.
Lyall W — Google review
Super good service, my reservation accidentally didn’t go through and they found us a decent table. All food is fresh and tasty especially tiramisu , I’d say 10/10 authentic. It’s not that sweet which suits my taste buds!

Went for lunch, choose the chicken dish and my friend the lamb burger, my dish was dry and didn’t have much flavour, while my friend said the lamb burger was very nice. I fed this back to the server but seemed to fall on deaf ears! This is my second time here on both occasions I wasn’t overwhelmed, maybe it will be 3rd time lucky if I return.

Wonderful for vegans Actually, this is an all-around wonderful place! There is a range of vegan and vegetarian options. I nearly went for the mushroom soup, made with oat milk (I've had it before), but instead had the cauliflower cheese on a baked potato with side salad. Absolutely gorgeous! A nice spot to grab lunch with a good menu. Portions are huge (especially kids meals) and food is high quality. It’s a dog friendly location, with a dog food menu, which was a nice touch. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Recommend a splurge on the penthouses / suites overlooking the estuary. They’re fabulous!

We spent three nights at this hotel and intend re-visiting in the very near future. The location is outstanding with views over the estuary towards Conwy and the castle, or out towards the sea, at the mouth of the estuary. Sea views are worth every penny as you watch the ever changing estuary and the stunning landscape, with sea birds constantly passing by, or feeding by the rivers edge. The hotel has all the facilities you could need to keep you entertained regardless of the weather and the staff are outstanding. Every single person we met from Katie and Maria on reception to the man dutifully watering every flower (of which there is a huge number) in the gardens was so friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is a real surprise because it is so much better than most hotels often rather bland offerings! If you like quality cuisine at reasonable prices then you will love the restaurant. In trying to balance a review of a venue we truly loved on our first visit we would say that the rooms though spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable are slightly dated. Our room had an overhead shower over a bath which for a hotel of this quality is rare these days. Still this is a small price to pay for such a lovely venue with great food, wonderful staff and a stunning location. Well done to all the staff and the owners for creating somewhere so special.

What a lovely place to spend the weekend. The friendliest staff I have ever met. The rooms are perfect, especially the sea view rooms. There is everything here on site and you wont be disappointed. Would 100% recommend to anybody going down this way.

Just returned from a great weekend spent here❤️ We stayed in one of the terraced rooms looking out onto the estuary. What a view!!! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast and meals were lovely. All the staff were amazing..... helpful, attentive and always with a smile. Shame it's taken us so long to discover this gem but we'll definitely be returning ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We recently went here for a small weekend break in Conwy; I believe this is the nicest hotel in the area. The room was very clean, I have Severe OCD and inspect things quite closely and couldn’t complain. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless, we even had a decent size TV and a small balcony. We came to find out the spa was included with our stay, it has a decent size swimming pool, a jacuzzi, foot spa and three different types of saunas. The restaurant was decent though quite expensive, however breakfast was included and was quite good for a morning boost before walking around Conwy. We really enjoyed it and would return if we want to visit the area again.

In addition to serving delectable Turkish coffee, sweets, and savory pastries, the bakery also offers an array of jewelry and protective charms. Visitors have raved about the delicious simit bread sandwiches, baklava, and various cakes available. The cozy interior with colorful decor adds to the inviting atmosphere. Guests have praised the friendly hosts who go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome.
Called in this afternoon with my girlfriend and our dogs after seeing the cakes online and we had a lovely time! The owners were very accommodating and recommended some things for us to try, places to visit and chatted to us while we had our drinks and lunch. Would highly recommend when in Conwy!

Great little cafe. Good snacks and coffee. Exceptionally clean and great location. Not many tables so may be busy but well worth the visit.

Fabulous little Turkish café, excellent meze style breakfast and strong Turkish coffee.

They make an excellent coffee and their sandwiches and pastries are equally good. Very friendly staff.

A truly beautiful Turkish coffee shop, deli with lovely little gifts. The food is superb especially the summit roles and homemade cakes. They also offer a catering service of wonderful homemade Turkish food. Great for a girls night in.
Julie M — Google review
Always absolutely lovely, and a special treat during lockdown. The owners are very nice, the coffee is rich and extremely well made, and the bakery products are just wonderful. I'd always go for a baklava, given the choice, but I think everyone else does, too, so today I had to have a chocolate brownie, which was light and delicious as always.

My favourite coffee shop! Lovely hosts - they even helped prepare me and calm me down before I had a job interview. Coffee is delicious and varied and the selection of teas, pastries and Turkish food is awesome! I expect to be a regular customer if I land thus gig in Conwy. Teşekkür ederim!

Lovely little cafe where we ordered coffee and cakes which were delicious. Lots of beautiful jewellery, lamps and pottery on display which can be purchased. The staff were very friendly and polite. The Turkish coffee was lovely!

Located just off the bustling High Street, behind Plas Mawr, you will discover the primary gallery of the esteemed Royal Cambrian Academy of Art. This significant establishment in Wales comprises over a hundred artist members and serves as a vital hub for their diverse events throughout the country. Nestled in Conwy, this gallery showcases an impressive array of works by these talented individuals.
This is a wonderful gallery with excellent exhibitions...and it's in the lovely town of Conwy. So, Castle, Gallery, gift shops, and fish and chips! A great day out.
Steven B — Google review
A gorgeous little gallery, we always pop in when we're in Conwy. The exhibitions change really regularly, so there's always something new, and their open is great. The shop is cute, with art supplies, cards and gifts on sale.
Vinca O — Google review
I last visited the Royal Cambrian Academy a couple of years ago. I was delighted to find on this visit that the shop and reception area had been given a make over. Very professional looking. The three exhibitions that were showing contrasted, celebrated local art and were very interesting. I bought two pieces which I am very pleased with. Staff were friendly and professional. Whilst I was there I could see a class of young children undergoing some form of education in a side gallery, which is great to see. All in all a really pleasant and thought provoking visit. Will visit again when in the area.
Steve B — Google review
I'm biased, being a member - but this gallery really is one of Conwy's best kept secrets. If you are interested in contemporary Welsh art, do visit. There's always a lively exhibition in the interesting building (with a stunning view over Conwy's roof-tops from the landing). There's a warm welcome from friendly staff and a nice gift shop.
Susan G — Google review
What a fantastic place, slightly hidden off the main street in Conwy. The gallery space is beautiful, with all works on show available to purchase with a payment plan. There is a small gift shop too and lots of events and classes available. Accessibility is good, with a lift available.
Cathy C — Google review
Excellent extensive display of high quality artworks, mainly paintings plus some sculpture plus a very nice shop with prints cards and crafts.
George S — Google review
Visited the Academy today to view the current Keith Gardner exhibition. Keith has been a member of the Academy for many years and I have known him for 63 years. Many splendid paintings of the North Wales coast. I would certainly recommend a visit to this excellent gallery to view his work. I still have a portrait he painted of me 62 years ago.
Tony M — Google review
The gallery of the Royal Cambrian Academy exhibits the work of its members. Practicing artists from throughout Wales form the membership and they are invited to exhibit at times collectively and also individually. It has two main gallery spaces a small one on the ground floor and a more expansive space upstairs. The members are a diverse group of artists and this is reflected in the varied interesting and exhibitions that are put on which change on a regular basis. The quality of the work is generally of a high standard and is well worth a visit.

Pub
The Albion Ale House in Conwy is a popular pub known for being dog-friendly, offering a special menu for canine companions. It's also close to the RSPB Conwy nature reserve, making it an ideal spot for bird lovers. The pub is a haven for beer enthusiasts and CAMRA members, with a focus on quality brews and a cozy atmosphere.
A great place to stop for cask ales after a walk around Conwy Castle. Lots of Welsh Beer and some small batch brews around here UK. A nice mix and match. Drinks and a few nibbles.
Patrick M — Google review
The Albion is one of the best spots for real ale in Conwy. The staff are knowledgeable and always happy to help, and the people in there were really nice – it’s got a proper friendly, welcoming feel. It’s a lovely old bar full of character, with reasonable prices. Pint was served to perfection, which is always important. We always enjoy popping in – a real gem in the heart of Conwy.
Mark I — Google review
Marvelous pub in Conwy owned by a couple of local breweries. Great selection of ale and well kept as you can imagine. It's a lovely old building and interior too. This should be commended as far too many pubs these days are modernised at the expense of losing that special vibe of an old pub. It's got 3 rooms all with its own ambience. Lovely outside spot too. Friendly on both sides of the bar. Highly recommended for a pint if you're in Conwy 🍻
G T — Google review
Great little craft beer / ale house , staff are always friendly and helpful. You can sample the beers on offer before making your choice . Great value for money drinks , including locally resourced spirits. Dog friendly which is always a plus + Always cosy in the winter with a well kept open fire , and quiet out of season to enjoy the peace and quiet. Worth visiting at anytime you are ever in Conwy.

A quality drinking house, with a great choice of beers and a thoroughly convinial atmosphere. I'd walked the coastal path to Conwy and had time for a couple before a return train journey from my start point. For once google got it right on the pub front.

What a fantastic pub. Beautiful old decor, wonderful bar staff and delicious ale. I can't wait to visit again. This has to be one of the best pubs I've ever drank in, and there's been a few 🍻

Nestled in the charming town of Conwy, George & Dragon is a quintessential British pub that invites you to indulge in a delightful array of classic dishes and sweet treats. With an impressive selection of beverages ranging from beers and wines to cocktails and low/no alcohol options, there's something for everyone. Whether you're seeking refuge indoors or prefer the fresh air of their beer garden, this welcoming establishment operates rain or shine.
Stopped by for a meal before walking to Morfa Conwy beach. Sat outside in their lovely beer garden and enjoyed the burgers. We got there just before the lunchtime rush so was a very pleasant and efficient service. Burgers were delicious! Will definitely be returning in the not too distant future.
Emma S — Google review
Edited review... The workers must have left the gate open because we walked in freely. They were super friendly and even showed us the door to walk thru. They did NOT say anything about renovations or tell us the pub was closed. They literally opened the door for us. When I walked by about 45 minutes later the signs were out front. I've edited the stars since I wasn't given the opportunity to enjoy the place but the woman could have been more cordial. That was our once in a life time trip to N Wales.
Marilyn S — Google review
Shocking.... we actually stopped going here as cannot move, VERY rude and useless staff. Went the other day second, third, fourth chance! SLIM RECTANGLE TABLES BY THE BAR. Not rocket science. Round tables, less people less seating, less profit. Beer needs a re think. Poor quality, generally warm. Flies everywhere. Could be the best, cheapest pub in Conwy, so disappointing. Needs a rethink, new manager, pleasant staff with customer focus and a cleaner.!!
Yvonne I — Google review
We came in here a few times while staying in Conwy and it was a lovely pub with a nice outside area! We got chatting to some people who lived not too far from us one of the last times we went in and the staff were friendly too. The last time we went in we ate and the food was great and had the two for £20 and paid extra for another meal. Me and my mom were going to have lasagna but they said it wasn’t homemade so didn’t bother in case it wasn’t that nice. I ended up having the scampi which was lovely and some of the best I’d had; my mom had fish and chips and my dad had the burger. All of which were great and lovely chips! Reasonable selection of beer on tap. Could do with some real ales though!
Stephanie F — Google review
Me and friends only had drinks here and sat in the beer garden which is clean and spacious with plenty of large tables, ideal for large groups of people who want to sit together. Empty glasses where swiftly removed and not left cluttering up the table unlike other establiments . Will definitely be visiting again when I'm in the area . Oh and it's dog friendly as well.
Trevor C — Google review
Ordered my food + drinks at the bar, waited 20+ minutes get served as loads of people were pushing in front. Finally ordered, sat down received our food, it was lovely. After 5 bites a bird had done his business in my drink. I told the bar staff, not offered a new one on the house. Still had pay and had to wait another half hour.
Lucy M — Google review
Very cheap pints for the area, honestly though it has the most try hard quiz I've ever experienced in my 27 years on earth. Also not super impressed with the reception to when we were announced as out of towners by the quiz master, although I totally understand this isn't the fault of the pub owner. Locals could do better
Callum H — Google review
Waited over 30 minutes for food to arrive, the gammon was thin and not edible, tomato was burnt, and counted 12 chips, for the price the food was awful. Also the soft drinks were very expensive. Staff took ages to serve me also. Left very very disappointed. No one came and asked how the food was. Will not be returning even though we reside in Gwynedd. I don't recommend.

Nestled in the heart of Conwy, The Bridge Inn offers a delightful blend of traditional Welsh charm and modern comforts. Guests can unwind in relaxed rooms that boast stunning views of the nearby castle, creating a picturesque backdrop for your stay. A highlight is undoubtedly Johnny Doughs, known for its mouthwatering wood-fired pizzas crafted from high-quality ingredients.
We had a great stay here. They have a lovely pizza place downstairs and the accommodation was so comfy with a great view of the castle. Perfect location with easy commute to all other touristic sites such as the red house (the smallest house in Britain), the town centre etc.

So we stayed just one night here 22nd April and I have to say I wouldn't stay again although the location is good for the town and the food looked good in the restaurant thats where it ended for us. Unfortunately first impressions last the stairs leading to the rooms were very dirty and dusty, and our room (room 3) had issues Window would not open Blind was without a cord so you could not roll it down or up Curtain was off a couple of rings Shower was ineffective very low pressure No where to hang the towels in the bathroom. Chair leg was loose These were all cons The pros Nice comfy big bed Continental breakfast OK Free wifi The room was £93 for the night I'd have expected better.
Leigh T — Google review
We had a super 3 night stay here. The room was a good size with a large comfortable bed and a well appointed shower room. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic. The whole stay was superb and we will be back.

Lovely guest house/ restaurant. A very warm welcome on arrive, helpful staff whom explained where to park. Small room with spacious bathroom. Hot drives and kettle available in the room, breakfast served from 8.30am. Lovely service and great breakfast. Pizzas wee gorgeous too. Would definetly recommended. Very close to Conwy Castle and various other shops, cafe, and the quayside
Natalie M — Google review
Drinks were very good, good selection at the bar. Unfortunately somebody who appeared to be a manager of some sort ushered us away from a table we were about to sit at, so her husband could sit down. Apart from that, reasonably pleasant experience.
Rhys M — Google review
A wonderful relaxing stay in an interesting little town. Friendly staff at the hotel and totally welcoming with local knowledge. Lovely bike rides up and down the coast. Pizzas were fab! Will try to be back.

Location, location, location! Just outside the walls of Conwy Castle, it's hard to get any closer. Our room was very comfortably furnished with a view of the castle right out the window. There are some stairs to climb and parking is a pretty big issue, but that seems to apply to all lodgings inside the walls. Nice little pub downstairs with friendly staff with quite a selection beers and Welsh Gins.
Arnie G — Google review
Always an excellent quality beer at The Bridge Inn. I noticed (but was not able to partake) an extensive gin menu. The beer garden was busy as was indoors on this mid September Friday evening - a good atmosphere with a good mix of ages - which considering it's Real Ale heritage - was a nice surprise.
