1Port Lligat

Mentioned on

Port Lligat is a charming village nestled in a small bay on the Costa Brava of the Mediterranean Sea, within the municipality of Cadaqués in Catalonia, Spain. This picturesque location has attracted renowned artists like Magritte, Matisse, and Picasso due to its stunning azure-blue waters and abundant sunlight. Restaurant
Compartir is a restaurant located in the charming coastal town of Cadaques, founded by three former chefs from El Bulli. The name 'Compartir' means 'to share' in Spanish, reflecting the concept of their menu which offers Catalan-inspired dishes meant for sharing. The restaurant's interior is contemporary and unpretentious, providing a relaxed atmosphere for diners.
Lovely food with an interesting mix of flavors, beautifully presented in almost any language you like. We chose the chef’s special menu for the table and paired it with a fabulous Albariño. I am not a seafood fan and even I loved it.

Lovely restaurant. They are listed on the Michelin Guide and for good reason! The food was delicious, creative, and beauitiful. We had the tasting menu. I thought I wouldn't like some of the items, but was pleasantly surprised. They made a nice wine selection for us as well. It's a very pretty place, especially the courtyard. I do feel a few items could be improved upon - we weren't big fans of the desserts, the music selection could have been better, and the service wasn't particularly impressive. I think improving these items could elevate the experience. But overall it is a fantastic restaurant and I would recommend it.
Fish — Google review
Very lively interior, super efficient service, Food presentation very beautiful. The razor Clams were very interesting with two side tasting combination. Wine list was very good and diverse. However main course Lobster and steak were a bit of disappointment, steak i ordered medium well, but it was way to dry and cold, Lobster was mainly Carcas and few tiny pieces of lobster and couldn't really feel texture or flavor , with super beautiful presentation. I d rather have better taste than a presentation but its subjective. All in all restaurant is really well done with highly qualified staff and great atmosphere, i guess they just need to work little bit on main courses and portion sizes. The pricing was very fair for this type of restaurant. From scale of 10 I would give 7.4 ranking. I almost forgot Tuna tartar starter was super fresh and excellent flavored.
Luka J — Google review
If you’re in Cadaqués looking for a well-prepared dinner, go for Compartir. The combination of a relaxed atmosphere, Mediterranean-style plates meant to be shared, and a setting full of local character makes it a great place to discover. Reservations are strongly recommended. The shared menu isn’t ideal for young children, as many of the starter dishes are based on raw fish—unless, of course, that’s their thing. The à la carte options will easily sort you out; our kids devoured the lomo and French fries. The wine selection is solid and reasonably priced.
Owen E — Google review
Reasonably priced good food. Substantial and worth the try. Not those molecular foam crap. For a Michelin restaurant this is no pretentious dress clothes policy or anything so long as you don't come in swim wear.
Dom L — Google review
This is our third visit but first with our Shiba Inu Ichiro. As always the service was impeccable friendly staff, very welcoming, airy cool in the outdoor garden seating. We had 6 different oysters, classic, Japanese style, grilled Dashi oysters with black sesame ice cream to start with and it was our favorite one! And the carbonara infused egg with mushroom was so delicious. Also had the stuffed squid. The main dish we shared the lobster rice, total was a bit too much for us but we finished everything was so lovely full of umami flavor we are in artistic culinary heaven. Bis nächstes mal! ご親切にありがとうございました :-)
Finn C — Google review
Two of us dined at Compartir (means to share) last night. What a lovely experience. The service was excellent. I was unsure which wine I wanted to order so our server brought the two from which I was choosing for me to taste them. We ordered four dishes to share. The tuna sashimi with roe was amazing. Delicate and yet packed with bright flavours. The crab and avocado also very good. The leeks, bacon and mushroom dish was scrumptious. We also had a dish described as Coquille st Jacques but it was more of a deconstructed dish with scallops and potatoes cooked perfectly. We finished the evening with cardamom ice cream with strawberries. So good! The atmosphere was lovely with fireplaces around the patio and lots of greenery too. The service provided by Thor and Daniella was second to none. If you get a chance try to dine here but best to make a reservation as it is popular!
Sandra H — Google review
I don’t have many words to say it was simply amazing. After trying 12 different dishes, we thought we’d be full, but once the desserts came out, they actually reopened our appetites, which was good 😊

Art Museums
The Salvador Dalí House Museum, located in Port Lligat, Catalonia, was the residence of the famous surrealist artist from 1930 to 1982. The museum offers pre-booked tours that allow visitors to explore Dalí's eccentric house and studio filled with personal artifacts and artworks. The stunning seaside complex overlooks a peaceful cove and features a mishmash of cottages, sunny terraces, and offbeat furnishings.
Cool experience! Be sure to book tickets well in advance during the tourist season (July-August) because they can be booked out a week or two. A ticket gives you a timed-entry to Dali’s beautiful, funky, artistic, and historic home and olive grove garden just outside of Cadaques, about 20-30 minutes walking from the center of town, along a beautiful route that does include a very steep hill. You’ll get a ~30 minute tour of the inside of the house, which is exactly as Dali left it (for reasons you will have to find out). Also, the pool is shaped in an interesting way… prepare to be confused, amazed, and intrigued 🙂
Sean T — Google review
Visited without booking and we could not get tickets to enter house as it was fully booked so recommend booking before going. We visited the gardens though, ticket 6 euro and well worth a visit as it has a lot of Dali's touches. Also bar and beach for a beer, coffee and stroll amongst the boats.
Al — Google review
I bought our tickets about two months in advance so we were ready. What we were not ready for was how cool the house was!! We had a friendly guide where took us through and spoke English and French to the rest. I loved that they had lockers free of charge available for larger bags. Also the Caffe by the entrance has a cute balcony on the top floor and tables outside. It was uplifting to soak up the local atmosphere.
Veronika M — Google review
100,000% worth the visit! Buy tickets in advance as tour groups are kept to 10 people at a time. Excellent museum with guides who know their material. It was a highlight experience to walk into the Secret Room where Dalí had his parties and where you can hear an echo of your voice. Loved touring the large olive orchards and seeing how Dalí lived and worked. Save time to watch the video at the top of the orchard. We stayed in Cadaques and loved our time there, if driving in give yourself plenty of time to arrive and navigate the mountain roads and take in the views. Would absolutely love to return to this wonderful place.
Versatile V — Google review
We loved our visit to the Dali house and gardens. Booking tickets in advance is recommended since groups are limited to 8 people at a time. The guides provided explanations in English, Spanish, Catalan, and French.
Dennis B — Google review
Visiting Dalí’s house is like stepping into his mind. Eccentric, poetic, and full of wonder. Every room is a piece of art, filled with strange details and personal touches. The coastal setting is breathtaking. A must-visit for art lovers and dreamers alike.
Saruti T — Google review
Ok, first I will answer to all 1⭐️: buy your tickets in advance and be on time. Museum is an old theatre restored and some corridors are just to narrow to accommodate more people. About museum: after seeing lots of museums all over the world, not even Dali fan, I have to say- you have to visit it.
Sanja P — Google review
Well, I will say that the staff here is super friendly and helpful. We had a little ticket slip-up and they really came through and helped us out. The tour guide was good too. But wow, Dali's house is the most ugly and unimpressive thing I've ever seen. His artistic nature didn't really translate into the property as much as I'd expected, and to be honest it's mostly just a lot of... trash. And bad taxidermy. The garden is nice, for the trees and plants. And the wife's dome room is interesting. So, there's that. Anyway, don't feel bad if you miss this on your trip 😅

Pizza restaurant
Italian restaurant
La Gritta is a family-owned pizzeria located on the seafront in Cadaques, Spain. The pizzas are made with classic thin Italian crusts and imported ingredients. The restaurant has stunning views of the ocean and is a great place to enjoy some pizza in a scenic setting.
If you are looking for a restaurant with a delicate and authentic touch of a Mediterranean chef, La Gritta is definitely a place to visit! Balanced spices and perfect textures of food, and great service. Also with a sea view. Highly recommendable 🫶
Tamara J — Google review
Lovely lunch by the sea in Cadaqués. Pizza, Burger and carbonara were all very tasty and served quickly. My burger and chips were home made and excellent.
David F — Google review
The test of a restaurant is how it responds to 2 platefuls of uneaten food. One a grey mass of unidentifiable meat covered in a school type viscous bland gravy and the other a steak, so riddled with dense fat that it was inedible. I ate about 1/3 of a shaved fried potato, 1 bite of the grey meat (although thin it wasn’t cooked through, so pray for me tomorrow) and my daughter wrestled through the steak before giving up. 2 half cooked pizzas and a bowl of moules that swimmed in a dank tasteless thin soup. So, how did the waiter respond to the sea of uneaten food? Just took it away without a word. We didn’t complain there - what’s the point he clearly didn’t care. Complaining here though to save another family wasting there hard earned money in school/war food. As a family of 5 we don’t eat out every night in holiday and we’re good cooks so when we do we want to appreciate it and not feel like we’ve wasted money. This was really, really disappointing. Can I add, I know how hard work running a restaurant is, so I genuinely wouldn’t post this unless I thought they needed the feedback. View was nice
Helen C — Google review
A cute restaurant right at the seafront. The service was impeccable, good portions of food. The pasta could have had a bit more flavour. But overall the food was good so I would visit again.
Camilla S — Google review
Very friendly and welcome-y service! Very fast too, the vongole was perfect. The Misses had the filled pasta with ricotta and spinach... godly.... A visit worthy when travelling to cadaques
Jasper G — Google review
Pizza was good, but pasta was undercooked. We sent it back and I think they just microwaved and added a bit of water because it was still raw and the sauce was watery. It is slightly cheaper than comparable places nearby.
Teddy T — Google review
Best view on Cadaques while having dinner! Italian food, quite good although certainly not the best I’ve had. Still I would go back and sit on their terrace because the sunset and views are breathtaking

Expensive and not good foodor drink. Small portions. Breadsticks came in packaging so store bought. Food tasted like it was out of the packet aswell. Tasteless.

Park
Cap de Creus Natural Park boasts some of the finest beaches along the Catalan coast, recognized for their pristine waters and well-preserved surroundings by the Government of Catalonia. Each beach in this area has its own unique charm, featuring sandy shores or rounded stone formations shaped by the sea and wind. What unites them all is the clear, crystalline water ideal for various maritime activities.
It is great that the area has restricted access It is wild and not crowded at all Three ways to get to punta the Cap the Creus: 1. Hike (about 1hr 15mins long) 2. Via public bus (3.50€/person) from El corral d'en Morrell 3. By car - to get here by car, you shall have a reservation at the restaurant There are a lot of nice Calas (cala Jugadora is my favourite) and hiking trails At the punta the cap de creus there are a restaurant and a bar where you can have a rest and a drink/food

We can’t get in with our own car without paying a 200€ fine. Such a pity. Because I also don’t see any buses we can take to get into the park close to this sign.
Elena Z — Google review
Restricted area, from this point on you can't continue with your own vehicle, it's almost not indicated. A dude in the entrance yelled at us, he had no uniform and his car was not recognizable. We thought he was an angry civilian, not even sure what he yelled us but I think you've got to pay for bus to the creek. We understand that it's protect the area, but you can be nice 👍 we turned back

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately, we didn't fully understand the signage, which is somewhat ambiguous, and now we realize we have to pay a €200 fine. The signs on the right state that access is prohibited for motorhomes, caravans, and buses, so we assumed you could get there by car. Furthermore, the descriptions of 9:30 and 21:30 are misleading. We assumed you weren't allowed to drive into the park at night. What a shame. Schade.

(Translated by Google) It's a magical, peaceful place. The landscape changes with every turn of the path. It's wonderful to meander along trails marked by small dry stone walls; it keeps you from trampling on all the natural spaces. I wasn't expecting such a beautiful mountain setting above Roses. It was my wonderful discovery of the week. (Original) C'est un lieu magique, calme. A chaque détour de sentier, le paysage change. C'est génial de serpenter dans des sentiers délimités par des petits murets en pierre sèche, ça évite d'aller piétiner tous les espaces naturels. Vegetarian restaurant
Restaurant El Barroco in Cadaques is a whimsical space known for its meze, grills, and tasting menus. It was a favorite dining spot of surrealist Salvador Dali, who even designed its logo in 1978. The restaurant offers classic Lebanese cuisine with traditional Middle Eastern flavors, featuring hot and cold mezes like hummus, baba ganoush, moussaka, tabbouleh, and falafel.
This is a special place. If your in Cadaques Spain and love Lebanese food this is a must see. Food was absolutely amazing fresh fresh fresh!! And the atmosphere was like a garden and museum all in one!! I highly recommend this place!!
Ashley M — Google review
In all honesty, we do not understand the hype about this… we hoped for such a better experience than we had, reading all reviews. The food was good, and the service friendly but nothing, in our opinion, worth coming back. The place is very busy with all sorts of decorations items and it has a strange smell (we ate inside as the weather was not good, so obviously it may be a very different experience if staying outside!!). That being said, we were super open minded when we came, we even thought that this « random » decorations were giving some character to the place. But the more we looked, and waited (we waited a very long time), the more it seems like nothing made sense. Looking around, it was not clean. About the food: good taste, for sure. But the price is ridiculous… we paid 46 euros for a mixed grill for 2 people with a few small pieces of meat on it, some basic lettuce and rice. The tasting platter is 20 euros and is supposed to be for one person. Portions are not generous at all. Also, we were supposed to get tea we never got. We always try to review restaurants objectively and we never miss mentioning when something is good. But here, we cannot understand at all why this place has so much success. We were so disappointed. To take away from this; good flavour, friendly service but crazy expensive for what you get.
Elise V — Google review
I have never written a review before, but it is simply impossible not to leave a positive one for this restaurant. El Barroco in Cadaqués offers an atmosphere that is beyond words. I have truly never seen anything like it. Dining here felt as if we were eating inside a museum, surrounded by history and art in every corner. The building itself has stood for several centuries, Salvador Dalí used to eat here several times. He even painted the entrance gate himself, which makes the place feel even more magical and unique. The food was absolutely perfect. We ordered the mixed grill platter for two, which included different types of meat, fresh salad, bread, homemade hummus, and homemade aioli. Every single element on the plate was prepared to perfection, and there was nothing at all to criticize. What made the experience even more special was the owner. She was extremely hospitable, incredibly kind, and after closing time she even gave us a personal tour of the restaurant, sharing stories about many of the items on display. For me, El Barroco was not just a simple lunch like in other restaurants it was an extraordinary and unforgettable experience.
Dennis C — Google review
Classic Lebanese food in Cadaqes plus the history of the place to boot. We came in late, around 2:15. Were welcomed to a table, ordered with recommendations, then served, including the dessert. We left at 4. It was a pleasure. Hummus, falafel, shrimp and showarma were all well made with care. The fig dessert was very good. We would come back again.
Valery Z — Google review
Very good food! We got a table without a reservation, but we were lucky. The woman serving us was really nice too :) A little more expensive but really yummy, definitely coming again
Viktoria R — Google review
A must if you're visiting Cadaqués! My husband and I went there for our anniversary dinner and it was the perfect choice. We ordered the paella and sangrias and it was all excellent. Thank you again we will be back soon!
Laura F — Google review
Should of left after the starters, which where greasy and tasteless but sadly didn’t. This place is stuck in the past and definitely does have a smell about it due to the “memorabilia”. The so called meat skewers hadn’t seen a skewer as they had no holes in them. Flat bread shop bought and cold with the main course served with a shop bought Mexican flour tortilla. No doubt the restaurants response will be based on it was my fault and they have a good reputation and love what they do! Try telling that to the staff. The place is deranged.
Steve S — Google review
This place is a whole experience. I had the best time there, I could visit on two occasions and had the pleasure to eat both inside and outside. Inside, it is like a collectionist museums, you can find really anything and I love this vibe. During the dinner, the owner played the piano and it was magical. On another occasione I had lunch outside on a warm day and I loved to be surrounded by plants and the beautiful yard they had. I tried the single-dish menu on both occasions and also ordered some baklava (delicious). I love the dips they offer in the plate menu. Definitely a restaurant to try

Talla Restaurant is widely regarded as one of the top dining spots in Cadaques, offering a delightful experience for both lunch and dinner. The menu features market-fresh tapas made with high-quality ingredients, blending modernity with tradition. Its prime location provides stunning views of Cadaques Bay, making it an unforgettable dining destination. With its open-air terrace by the sea, Talla is perfect for savoring traditional local cuisine, seafood, and rice dishes while enjoying the picturesque surroundings.
I am so happy that we booked this place for lunch! What a beautiful little restaurant. Absolutely everything was amazing from the food to the service to the view. Do not hesitate in booking this place. My only suggestion is that you do it very far in advance because they do book up quickly and while we would’ve preferred to sit outside it wasn’t available. We did sit inside and it didn’t take away from the experience at all so don’t let that stop you.
Christina S — Google review
So, I really liked this place. The food is overall really good. They have a lot of creative, delicious dishes and the location is right next to the water with a great view. I will say that it's better to eat here if you're going to sit outside because the inside is a bit dark. We liked all the items we got except the wagyu - it just wasn't really worth it here. I'd recommend going for the more interesting unique items, especially the duck morels, tortilla, scallops, etc. Don't get the centollo (crab) if you don't like strong fishy flavors; otherwise it is good. One other thing... the order system is overly complicated and off-putting with no explanation on the menu. Since it's not explained anywhere, I'll explain here: -Everything is to share with the table, they do not do individual plates per person. -They recommend ordering 2 items at a time. -You have to order from top to bottom (cold items to warm items). I recommend making a reservation in advance!

Talla stands for an unpretentious yet outstanding gastronomic atmosphere in the picturesque setting of Cadaqués. You can feel in every interaction how motivated the team is to deliver exceptional food – with bold combinations and perfectly executed seafood pairings inspired by the local waters. Some dishes take cues from French culinary principles, embracing the freshness of the Costa Brava and combining it with an excellent wine selection. My personal recommendation: the table right by the wall facing the water. The bone marrow with scallops and kaviar is just mindblowing. If you get the chance, start or finish your evening with a Gilda (from Bar Talla) and a perfectly poured beer. Seize the moment. See you again in May 2026.

The impressive Catholic church Santa Maria de Cadaqués overlooks the old town of Cadaques. Completed in the 14th century, it was later rebuilt after a series of pirate raids in the 15th and 16th centuries. The golden Baroque altarpiece is a popular attraction inside. While some found its gaudy style too overbearing, others found it charming. The town itself is full of good tapas bars and views are beautiful from the church.
Iconic church on the top Cadaques, it has a Dali like painting inside (not sure who the artist is) the viewa are worth the uphill and the ornaments are very interesting

Great church with a spectacular interior that is a contrast to the fairly simple exterior. Quite a trek to get up the hill to it but the views from outside the church are a bonus.

Visited around midday on a Tuesday in late May. Looks quite utilitarian on the outside but the inside has some lovely ornate features - without being overly showy. Cool (temperature), quiet and solemn inside. Some interesting paintings to take in. Has some nice alcoves too. Quite central and relatively easy to access. Certainly worth a visit if you find yourself in Cadaques. Highly recommended.

It is a nice litle rown but the local police is very selective when you want a parkingspot at the parkingplace. Good tapasbars every where.

Nice church at the top of a short but steep hill with great views of the bay.

This large church dominates the town and is attractive on the outside. Inside the oversize alterpiece attempts to impress, but I found it too gaudy for my tastes.

Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurant Es Baluard is a relaxed locale in Cadaques, offering traditional seafood dishes and seaside seating. Located upstairs with stunning views of the bay, it specializes in locally caught produce from the Alt Emporda region. The menu features seafood croquettes, crab rice, grilled monkfish, and steak with fries. While not very vegetarian-friendly, they are willing to prepare a platter of grilled seasonal vegetables upon request.
If I could give 6 stars I would. I came to this restaurant from the UK with my partner and now wife. We had our service here in Cadaqués and our marriage breakfast here with friends and family. The food was absolutely beautiful and the service above and beyond what we could have expected. The fish dishes, both starters and mains were incredible and the deserts some of the best we had experienced in our lives. The ambience, location and views are perfect if you want a view of the bay from your seated position. We will definitely return either as a couple or with a group. Thank you to all the staff for a truly unforgettable experience. 10/10 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The location and the service is excellent. A bit hot inside for those summer nights. As starters we had: carpaccio and burrata with confites tomatoes both were very good. The main course was absolutely overrated and expensive for how it ends: entrecôte was supposed to be medium and it very bloody; plus the knife wasn’t appropriate for meat, didn’t cut. The French fries were very soft and oily. The dessert: lemon cream was very good. In conclusion overpriced.

Every visit has been brilliant. Great food, friendly, cheerful and helpful staff, can’t recommend enough. All the fresh seafood is outstanding and the wine list is fantastic & Aina’s advice always spot on. Going to this restaurant is one of the highlights of our summer. Thank-you

Excellent food in a classy and cosy dining room overlooking the harbour. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The comprehensive wine list celebrates interesting local producers and offers very good value. We loved it!

- Delicious paella with crab, fresh seafood, very good experience. If you want a good paella , come here (ignore reviews from French tourists) - Good quality food - Amazing choice of wines , I don’t remember how many pages… - Cozy interior - Nice views - Fresh breeze coming from the sea through opened doors and windows , it’s not hot in the restaurant - Experienced manager. Waiters may be need a bit more training. Good service in general, but some waiters forget which table ordered drinks, they wanted to serve us somebody else’s drinks, some waiters were walking by and accidentally pushing the back of my chair quite often without even apologizing, that was annoying. - We had to wait long to make an order, they prioritize local people who lives there, they took their order quickly and served them quickly even though they came after us, that didn’t feel good. - I didn’t like fish soup that much, it didn’t have rich flavor. Soup itself doesn’t taste much fish or seafood. If I’m in Cadaqués I would come here again for sure. I would try other dishes from menu. If you’re looking for a good experience - I recommend. It’s better to book in advance.

We were really impressed by this restaurant. Great food and wine and very nice service. We went for some sharing starters and then a selection of grilled fish of the day. We’ll be back.
St E — Google review
Great views if you get a window seat. You need to reserve in advance. The market fish was limited to ordering 4+ people. Polite and attentive staff that offer preparing the fish by removing the skins and bones after presented, which is great. The downside is that they only really had 3 types of fish on offer: Pike (Lluç), Turbot and Monkfish (Rap). One can also order prawns and other crustaceans.
Enric C — Google review
This is one of the best restaurants in the Costa Brava with a great location in one of the nicest towns in the area. Fresh, local produce made in local ways. Very interesting wine list with mostly Catalan wines. The only negative things I can say are that there’s no air conditioning (which can be hard in mid-August) and that it’s pricey (check the out of menu prices before ordering so there are no surprises)

Far de Cala Nans is a picturesque lighthouse perched above Cadaqués town and the Mediterranean Sea, accessible via a rocky headland trail. The easy hike from Cadaques offers breathtaking views, with small pebble beaches along the way. However, caution is advised for families with young children due to steep paths and limited shade. Despite some challenging trails, the stunning vistas make it worth the effort, especially when combined with a visit to the beautiful beach near the lighthouse.
Beautiful views of Cadaqués from the light house. The hike was not too difficult or crowded. There is an area to go down to the water as well.

It was a nice walk,a big surprise for us to have such experience not far from Cadaques and also viewers!!!!
Alvarez C — Google review
Easy hike from Cadaqués with amazing views. There are some small pebble beaches along they way, which are steep to get to but accessible, I would not recommend descending to the beach with small children (smaller than 5 or not aware of dangers of heights). There is almost no shade along the route but very windy.
Ricardo Q — Google review
A beautiful place with stunning views. An extra small hike to the beautiful beach that's just before the lighthouse is worth it. An easy walk from Cadaques and some parking available by the music festival building
Russ S — Google review
Really nice walk to the light house. Medium difficulty.
Cecilia K — Google review
The view is amazing but we weren’t prepared to walk through some difficult trails. It’s worth it and on the way there are some really nice calas.
Andrea G — Google review
A nice and easy trail from Cadaques takes about an hour, lovely views along the way (but not much shade, so be careful with the sun). There is a lovely beach at the end just before the lighthouse, super clean and clear water. There are 2 paths going down to the beach, the first one has an easy start but a steep ending, the second one is much harder to find on the top (kind of just shrubs) but has stairs on the second part and nice descend. If neither of them work for you, you can take the stairs below the lighthouse and you get to a little pier/mooring for small boats, where you can also get in/out of the water.
Martina B — Google review
a wonderful short hike to the lighthouse overlooking the bay and the Mediterranean Sea. It can be quiet windy.

Bar Casino is a charming spot that perfectly blends the lively atmosphere of a casino with the laid-back vibe of a bar. As the sun sets, it becomes a bustling hub for both locals and tourists, making it an ideal place for people-watching. Families can enjoy quality time together thanks to an attached playground that keeps kids entertained while parents sip on refreshing drinks or coffee.
Great place for drinks café con Leche and bocadillos. Their prices are very reasonable. This bar is much frequented by locals, which is a good sign.

There is something about the atmosphere here that I find very cool, maybe because it seems like it is a place where the locals come for coffee or beer and it has kind of an old charm to it, for some reason I thought about Cuba. Go there for something to drink and sit outside and enjoy Cadaqués.

Came to Casino Bar for breakfast most mornings and drinks most evenings. The breakfast bocadillos and coffee are so so good (fresh, simple, tasty) and the vibes for drinks of an evening are immaculate. Ignore the reviews about the service! This is a laid back institution where everyone is just having a good time so have an open mind and know that sometimes you’ll need to order for yourself at the bar but sometimes the waiters will surprise you with an order at your table! And it’s cheap!!

Nestled in the charming town of Cadaqués, Casa Anita has been a beloved culinary haven since 1960. This traditional wine and tapas bar exudes a warm, familial atmosphere where guests often share tables and stories. Instead of a menu, Maria and Juanito personally guide you through delightful dishes tailored to your tastes—think fresh seafood paired with local wines. The experience is enhanced by homemade desserts crafted by Maria herself, ensuring every bite feels like a taste of home.
Absolutely incredible experience. It’s a really atmospheric restaurant and the family who run it go out of their way to make it a special experience. There’s no menu - they talk you through their daily specials. Excellent quality food too - we had the asparagus starter, the fish of the day (sole) and a local dessert. Brilliant experience.
Neil S — Google review
Eat with Juanito and family is a unique experience. Let yourself be recommended by the owner and enjoy the Spanish food and cadaques ambience. The dishes we had, like anchoas, verduras con huevo, patatas con huevos y trufa, arroz negro y dorado were simply excellent. Even if you have eaten well, let yourself surprise by Maria for a delicious postre.
Leon D — Google review
Casa Anita is an acquired taste - you either love it or you hate it. The ambiance, the ways of the owner, the food - it all fits together and makes the experience very entertaining as well as very peculiar. The food was good and very enjoyable. Third time in the restaurant as part of showing it to new visitors to town. A bit noisy and warm to my liking but still good enough!
Tom G — Google review
Wonderful evening and a very good choice for celebrating my sisters birthday. It feels like home. No menue, the owner (known as the Crazy Fish Guy) comes to you and tells you what you can have, and he was very welcoming. We ate 4 different starters and Turbot and Seabass for dinner. For dessert we ate ice cream made by the owners wife. The wine was from his brothers wine yard and was very good. In conclusion, have dinner here!
Sandra — Google review
I have mixed feelings about this place. While the restaurant is small and charming, it also has no menu. The waiter tells you what’s available and gives you recommendations (though he didn’t give me prices). The entrée and main dish (sea bass and chips) I had were delicious. However, I don’t know why I was charged for 2 people when I was just one person. I don’t know if I was scammed or there was an error in the calculation.
Robin R — Google review
Authentic home made delicious seafood. Grilled sole was excellent, arroz negro with gambas was divine, not to mention the home made mascarpone and turrón ice creams. Owner very friendly, speaks a little bit of English and French. We are very grateful that our local friends brought us here.

It’s been over a year since we visited Casa Anita, and I can’t get forget about it! Recommended to us by a Spanish food critic who convinced us to travel to Cadaques from Barcelona, we are so glad we made this trip. In a world of deceivingly perfect pictures and restaurant owners now pandering for reviews, Casa Anita remains true to itself and offers an authentic experience. When you dine here, you are dining as a friend and a welcome guest in a home. We will never forget our experience here!

French restaurant
Nestled in the charming seaside town of Cadaqués, Bistrovino Cadaqués is a delightful culinary gem run by a passionate French couple. This cozy eatery boasts an eclectic decor that includes everything from bicycles to vintage helmets, creating an inviting atmosphere perfect for a romantic dinner. The restaurant's shelves are lined with an impressive selection of wines, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. The menu at Bistrovino Cadaqués reflects both Spanish and French influences, offering wholesome dishes that exude homemade charm.
We toured the usual restaurants along the seafront that are visited by the visiting tourists and chose to eat here as it’s decor was appealing and felt more intimate for a valentine meal. The host was excellent, we were offered tastings of two recommended wines and we choose a glass of each. He menu was resonantly concise and we were offered menus in Spanish, French and English. We had a really good meal, the quality was excellent and so was the service. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting cadequez who does just want to dine with the masses on the seafront. We visited in February.
Neil P — Google review
Superb and remarkable! Excellent! This small bistro, with a French slant to the food, created one of the best dinners we have eaten in the region. The chef, named Christophe Legrand, has created perfect dishes for this lovely seaside resort. Complex favors, beautiful presentation, outstanding service, this is the place to be when you do not want another paella. A great wine list rounds out the experience. This place is not to be missed if you are in this town for any length of time. Multilingual staff: Spanish, French, German, and English, that are remarkably attentive. And the prices are moderate!
Laurence — Google review
The decó is nice and wine is good. Terrible behaviour from the owner who can maybe be nice if you speak French. He insisted in speaking French to us even if we clearly said we could speak other languages but not French. He was extremely rude and did not make us feel welcome at all, so much that we didn't even feel like ordering a second glass of wine. The owner clearly has no idea on how to approach customers, welcome diversity and ultimately be a good host. My recommendation: look at the bar, look at him - a sad try to be Dalí - and move on to one of the many other places in town.
Maria C — Google review
This is NOT! a place to visit. The owner is possibly the most arrogant person I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Extremely rude and without a doubt a man that has high visions of his personal knowledge of wine, that supersedes the mere public that would dare to stop for a glass.
Mark H — Google review
Great decor and atmosphere. Service so-so. Had to remind them of our request for water. Food some really good some nice enough. Razor clams over cooked and gritty. Really should have sent them back. Last time we visited all was much better. Perhaps there has been a change of ownership.
Michael R — Google review
We were drawn to this place because the decor is so undeniably beautiful. The owner, however, couldn't have made us feel more unwelcome. Perhaps he was feeling overwhelmed or is going through something in his home life, but he would do well to revisit what it means to be in the HOSPITALITY business.
Derek W — Google review
Charming, quite French bistro, run by a super friendly couple who serve the best anchovies ever (from the Atlantic) and tasty, very well prepared classics and daily specials with over 200 great wines to choose from.
David B — Google review
Very rude and unfriendly staff. We left 3 min after getting there because we felt VERY unwelcome. Opening phrase when entering the restaurant was "what do you want?", we thought it could be a language issue and explained that we were hoping for a drink give that it was a bar... the staff obviously did not want to serve us, made it clear that it was inconvenient given that everybody seemed to show up at the same time...well, guess what buddy, you own a bar and restaurant and people tend to go to bars at around dinner time!

Disappointing. We had read all the great reviews on TA and went for lunch. It’s a lovely room carved out of the living rock with long wooden shelves holding beautiful glass bottles, etc, etc. But when we ordered the grilled bream at €36 to share we were told it was €50 “today”. That didn’t feel right as the menu gave a fixed price rather than saying market price or any other indication that the prices change from day to day. We spoke to the manager and said it was a surprise but she disagreed and said it was only a surprise if the surprise came after the meal, with the bill. She appeared to be quite pissed off with us for the rest of the meal (which was delicious) after we switched to the hake, which was the same price as advertised. So a nice place but poor service and watch out!
Roderic V — Google review
Good food, good wine but service ruins it. The prices and atmosphere are those of a quality restaurant. Especially the starters were high-priced: 15,50€ for 4 Anchovies with bread. 9,50€ for a Zucchini cream without bread. Quality was good but not outstanding. But most disappointing was the service. We received no smile during the whole evening. The wine and plates were served without a single word. Brought away while the other one was still eating. The owner was leaning at the kitchen door, writing on her phone and giving bored looks. Too bad as the chefs obviously know about their job.
Lukas N — Google review
Cozy place and really kind staff. We ordered hake for 2 and it was fine amount. It came with 2 potatos and 2 tomatoes cut in half. A bit simple but full of taste. Restaurant is a bit dark and the don't have beer draft, so thats why I am going with 4/5. Price wise was a bit over the average having other places which offered full menu. At the same time there was not so many people so you could enjoy the meal in a quiet environment.

I was impressed six years ago, I am still fond of this restaurant for their excellent seafood and service. We had dinner there for two consecutive nights.

Real nice food, beautifully arranged room, not too warm (OAT was 35°C), nice welcome & service, but 25 € for 4 scallops & 4 prawns in an empty plate (sorry, I forgot traces of mushed peas....) , we way passed limits of customer's tolerance.... I will come back..... owner also runs a nearby hotel which I'll book for my next stay in Cadaquès. Wait & see!!!!

I have no idea what bad reviews are all about. We walked in and were seated right away. When the waiter saw we have a little kid with us - he immediately mentioned they have kids specials off the menu (pasta and excellent home-made chicken fingers), which is always appreciated. We had terrific chorizo al cidre, great red tuna tartar and fresh and delicious burrata salad, and very good sangria de cava and beer. The service was excellent and the food was spot on and the view is spectacular- the beach is right on front. I’d be happy to get back here any time. Also- they speak half a dozen languages (if it’s a concern to anyone).

The worst food we've had on our trip. Squidgy croquettes, worryingly smelly prawns and the gyoza were definitely of the cheap frozen variety. The only saving grace was the pickled mackerel, which was OK. The staff were friendly and clearly working hard. Just serving overpriced unappealing food. It would be better to keep the menu simple and use fresh ingredients.
Louise M — Google review
Friendly staff. But the food is horrible for the prices. We payed 50 euro for three small bites (tapas) that did not live up to the expectations. The croquetes were soft, meatballs overcooked and the sangria wayyy too sweet. Overall 2,5/5 because of the quiet friendly staff.

Great location for people watching and with a view of the sea. We tried the standard sangria and sangria with cava, both good but we’ve had better ones.
Camilla S — Google review
We first made the mistake of sitting at the bar in front, Maritim. There, it took 20 minutes just to get a menu, and this with half the restaurant empty and most waiters leaning against the wall while only one or two actually worked. Then we came here, to Bar Melitón, and wow! In less than two minutes, with the place completely full, we had menus, drinks ordered, and served. A few minutes later, patatas bravas and a tomato tuna salad arrived: generous portions at a great price. Exactly what you need when it’s too late for lunch but too early for your dinner reservation. What I loved most is that even as the high season winds down, they still maintain excellent service and treat every guest with true quality. On a personal note: I’d love the bravas to be a bit spicier. Shout out to Alex and Ariel, excellent waiters who made the experience even better.

Nestled in the charming town of Cadaqués, ODA Cuina Creativa is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Managed by the warm and skilled Ruth, this restaurant focuses on shared plates from a concise menu, allowing guests to savor a variety of flavors. The sleek yet inviting decor complements the friendly and professional service, ensuring that every visit feels special. Dishes are served with impeccable timing, showcasing beautifully presented food that delights both the eyes and palate.
Fantastic restaurant in Cadaques, managed by the experienced and welcoming Ruth. All dishes are meant to be shared, after choosing from a short menu, they arrive in the order that the chef sees best depending on what has been selected. The decor is sleek and modern, without being overwhelming. Service is friendly and professional. Timing between dishes is set like a Swiss clock, dishes and wine flow effortlessly. And then there's the food: beautifully presented, delicious, and surprising.

By a large margin, the best food I ate in Cadaqués. The parppadelle with truffle was the highlight. Perfect dish in both taste and texture. The smoked octopus was very well prepared although the red cabbage accompanying it was so-so. Wine good. Decor very nice, relaxing, minimalist without trying too hard. Service was super friendly and professional. However ... A few reviews discuss a possible Michilen star. I had to pour my water throughout the meal and was never offered a second glass of wine, though the first was finished halfway through the first dish. That doesn't disturb me personally, but I've been to nearly every Michilen restaurant in Spain and the water and 🍷 is never empty ...

Sant Baldiri hermitage is a charming small chapel located in Cadaques, Girona. It was built to house the relics of Saints Abdon and Sennen but is dedicated to Saint Baudilus. The exterior features a white facade with a surrounding wall and a simple front topped by a single bell and metal cross resembling a crossbow.
Lovely little church. You can ring the bell!

(Translated by Google) Sant Baldiri hermitage Av. de Salvador Dalí, 17488 Cadaqués, Girona Ermita de Sant Baldiri is a church in the city of Cadaqués (Alt Empordà) on the Catalan Architectural Heritage List. Located on the road from Cadaqués to Portlligat. The church has a nave with a semicircular head. The interior is covered by barrel vaults supported by semicircular arches and rims supported by pilasters on the walls. The apse is covered with a quarter-spherical vault of the presbytery. On either side of the main altar are smaller altars dedicated to Saints Abd and Saint Senon. Outside, a gallery supported by thin arches protects the entrance. The portal with semi-cusped arch bears the date 1702 on the key to the arch. It is flanked by two lattice openings through which the altar can be seen. On the back, the galilea takes the molded oculus from the front, culminating in the arched bell tower. The upper profile of the facade is framed by molding. On the side walls there are buttresses, surmounted by a minaret, surmounted by a terracotta sphere decorated in relief. At noon, it has semicircular double-slit arched windows. The pictures and sparse furniture are modern. The church dedicated to Sant Baldiri today was originally dedicated to Sant Abdó and Sant Senén, who are still worshiped. When the town of Port de la Selva achieved municipal independence (1787), the inhabitants of Cadaqués had to stop traveling to Sant Baldiri de Taballera, and the farmhouses and their churches on the hill of Sant Baldiri became independent. They then established this devotion in the Portlligat chapel of Saints Abdó and Senén. The monastery was built, like the parish church and other sanctuaries in the area and on the coast, thanks to the joint efforts of the fishermen, who used the so-called "fish pens" to catch fish even on reserved days. It is known that in 1699 part of the habitat was given to each bay for the construction of the Portlligat Church, which was used to house the relics of Sant Abdó and Sant Senén. In other words, construction of the building began in 1699 and was completed in 1702 (cover date). According to tradition, these relics arrived in Cadaques as a result of a shipwreck. In an undated document published in the "Marca Hispánica" which, according to the author, was copied from an old parchment in the convent of Santa Maria d'Arles, he published Translating the text of the two relics of the saints from Rome to the monastery of Sata Maria in Arles, a miracle happened and they were able to reach the port of Cadaqués, where the nearby chapel was built in honor of saints Abdo and Senon to commemorate the miracle. The above-mentioned author states that according to the "Martyrologio Hispano" this event occurred during the reign of Charlemagne. Apparently the document was a forgery. Popular local versions of the legend place the wreck at Punta des Vailet, an accident that occurred on the coast near the monastery, in Pas de Ses Bugelles, a small channel between the island of Portlligat (which closes the bay) and the mainland. In 1790, the traveler Francisco de Zamora still referred to the monastery as the Monastery of San Pietro. Abdul and st. Senen instead of Sant Baldiri. "After the seclusion of San Abdoón and San Senén, go there, there is Portlligat..."

There is a large parking lot next to the church, where you can always find a free space. It is from here, from this parking lot and from the church, that the walking route to the house-museum of Salvador Dali begins. And many people begin this route by going to the church, wandering around the cemetery and columbarium, which are very well equipped and very interesting if you start to read the inscriptions on the slabs. Fine-tuning your psyche before visiting the museum... (Original) Небольшая церковь XVIII века при кладбище, с любопытными элементами интерьера, настраивающими на встречу с творчеством Дали. Wecamp Cadaqués is a laid-back campground offering bungalows and pitches, along with amenities like a pool, showers, laundry facilities, restaurants, and Wi-Fi. It's praised for its fantastic location within walking distance of nature, wild beaches, and the center of Cadaques. While it's not your typical camping experience as they don't allow personal tents, it provides a luxurious resort-like feel.
Such a beautiful camping! Too bad the weather wasn’t great so we couldn’t try the pool that is so beautifully located. Staff is very friendly they were super available to give us everything we needed! Beautiful tents, will be back! Also very well located super close to the center

High recommendation - we had such a lovely stay in one of the tents. Although pretty close neighbours, very private, everything one needs to have a relaxing vacation. Pool is amazing and has a great view of the ocean and house of Dali. Facilities are very clean, staff is really friendly and helps out with all questions. Booking online was really easy and price is totally alright and worth every cent! Yoga is offered on Saturday and Sunday, no registration but only 10 mats.

Lovely campsite, great facilities, only downside for us was the pitch itself which was directly behind reception- tree overhead had purple berry fruit- ground covered in it- destroyed some clothes and also many many wasps around this pitch. Would highly recommend this campsite as long as you don’t end up in this pitch.
Patricia C — Google review
Pleasant staff Nice campsite but not practical for big camping cars. Difficult to manoeuvrer, careful of the trees with their big stumps sticking out. Sanitary facilities not good. Showers freezing, no hot water, even after we notified it. The village is very beautiful. Easy to go down to it but my God very very steep to get back! Be aware if mobility difficulty.
Joelle C — Google review
We paid extra for the pitches at the top of the site with sea views. Do yourself a favour and ignore them. They are windy (it was very windy during our stay) and unkempt and extremely dusty, after the first night we asked to move to one of the pitches lower down in the site. What a difference, hardly any wind at all and beautifully kept. The amenities are fantastic and lovely and clean. Washing machines are the Washtur app types. I have lost so much money on these this 5 week holiday ( they seem very popular on Spain). Close to Cadaques and a 7 minute walk to Dalis house.
