Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment is a unique cultural complex located in Huntsville, AL. Housed in a former textile mill, it is the largest privately-owned arts facility in the United States. The complex features over 200 working artists, performance venues, and a local artisanal food hall. Visitors can explore studios, interact with artists, and witness their creative process firsthand. Additionally, there are options for plant-based dining available on-site from Chef Will The Palate and Mason Dixon Bakery.
This is a very cool place. We are from the New Orleans area, and this place felt more artsy than the French Quarter. If you are a creative person or just someone who admires creativity, check it out!
Holly C — Google review
Outstanding arts and crafts location. I think there are over 200 artists studios covering the three floors. Best day to go is on a Saturday when they also have an outdoor market.
Dan M — Google review
What a fabulous, strange, and whimsical place. It's a haven for artists and creatives of all sorts, chock full of dazzling surprises around every corner. The old mill is labyrinthine and confusing, but I'd happily get lost in there all day! Definitely worth checking out!
Jess G — Google review
As a Huntsville native, it really makes me happy that this former shoe mill has been transformed into a wonderful creativity mill, a haven for artists of all styles to work, display & sell their creations! It is the largest, privately owned facility of its kind in the U.S. Touring all 3 floors with 150+ studios may take all day or at least several visits. An endless supply of murals, antiquities from the original Mill & other artistic backdrops for photos/snaps can be found, even in the stairwells & bathrooms. You'll find tattoos, glass crafters, handmade jewelry, marionettes, clothing, costumes, oddities, sculpters, painters, pop culture retailers & public classes are offered on pottery, blacksmithing, piano & so much more! Fun ceiling swings hang on Floor 2 & several restaurants & benches are scattered throughout. Lowe hosts several annual pop culture conventions, concerts & movies on the dock, public art exhibits & an annual Rocky Horror Picture Show interactive in the fall. There is truly "something for everyone" here & we look forward to every single visit. Cre8tive Sistas is our favorite studio! From a real estate standpoint, there are many great opportunities to live in or near this amazing arts district!
Donna G — Google review
Incredible vendors with art literally everywhere. It reminded me of Asheville, NC arts district. The only downfalls were that A LOT of vendors were closed on a Saturday so we were disappointed and the smell of cat urine (no way it’s bats) in the stairwell was so overwhelming it made me question whether each floor was worth it.
Ashley S — Google review
This is an amazing place to take in many different artists at work. I love that they repurpose the space and that the stairwell is basically a guide to where to go. The ravenwood Meadery seemed to be the most popular place when I was there.
J M — Google review
I only made it through part of the first floor! This place is so cool and something new to look at with every step you take. I can't wait to go back and see more of it. You can not see it all in one trip.
Tammi S — Google review
This is my “go to,” place when I’m in town. They have many different art studios for all kinds of art lovers. I find something new every time I visit! I stopped by today after work to grab the porky pig pizza at Veloce pizza and an iced tea from Piper & Leaf tea company but I’m certain I found a cat I need to adopt and a band I want to see live. This is a don’t miss spot that every city needs.

Big Spring International Park is a charming city park featuring a large manmade pond with ducks and koi fish, as well as paved walkways for leisurely strolls. Adjacent to Constitution Hall Park, a historic site, the park offers free access and guided tours.
Really lovely area. We enjoyed a walk around the park and the peaceful pretty area. No big attractions here but great for a walk in the sunshine. Well kept and very clean
Michelle B — Google review
We really enjoyed city park... it looks pretty well maintained & nice scenery... enjoyed walking the grounds around the lake filled with Koi, Carp & Gold fish & the various restaurants located around the park in addition to The Huntsville Museum of Arts are very close... we visited Pane E Vino Pizzeria located on one corner of same building as the Museum the entrance access is separate entrance from Museum though... anyway this place was worth a visit as well with great pizza ... inside/outside seating is offered as well...

Awesome park smack dab in the heart of downtown Huntsville. Cool place to chill and at night, the colors really come alive. It's pretty cool, Gives very relaxed vibes also within walking distance of pretty much all the restaurants and the von Braun center so its convenient.

I took my fur baby to Big Spring Park for our morning walk on Saturday morning. It is a very nice place and very quiet. The spring is nicely kept. Duck, geese, and fish are abundant. Very picturesque.

Beautiful park, finally had the opportunity to walk in the park. Next time I'll be sure to bring quarters to get fish food and duck out of the machines so I can feed the fish and ducks.
Donald S — Google review
My husband and I were in town for a concert. This morning I decided to visit the park even though it was dreary and rainy. I'm glad I did, because I enjoyed the walk so much. The history of the park is intriguing. The koi and ducks are beautiful. The canal spring, and all the fountains are amazing. The Peope of Huntsville should be proud of their wonderful city park.

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is a must-see destination in Huntsville, Alabama. It serves as NASA's first visitor center and features interactive exhibits and artifacts that showcase the agency's accomplishments. The center includes the Davidson Center for Space Exploration, which is a vast museum highlighting the history of space exploration with actual space suits and the impressive SATURN V rocket on display. Visitors can also explore interactive exhibits dedicated to future space travel.
Driving back home from Chattanooga. I've driven by this place a few times, but since we had some extra time, we turned around and visited. It was lots of fun. Being an astronomy and meteorology nerd, I was in heaven. They have all kinds of cool stuff. They even rides, though I didn't partake. Definitely worth a visit. They even have a space camp which looks cool.
Chris H — Google review
We stopped in here on a road trip. Incredible collection of space history. Would recommend getting tickets in advance if you want to do any of the simulators - that's the only thing that had a really long wait. Sprawling campus - we were there in August and it was pretty hot, but you can get into shade or inside easily. Everything super clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. Glad we stopped here - amazing showcase of American technology and accomplishment. Nice gift store.
Jonathan P — Google review
The place is huge, a map is provided so be sure to go to each building, some are not marked very well explaining what is inside. Plan to spend most of the day there as there is so much to see. Wear comfortable walking shoes/sneakers and if you have children, a cart or stroller is necessary. Awesome exhibits and staff was available for questions, even Rocket Scientists to talk with. General Admission doesn't include any extras like the planetarium or simulators/rides and they don't offer any senior or other discounts normally. Food was overpriced at 10.00 for a hamburger but you can bring a picnic lunch and eat outside at the picnic tables. All in All, a fantastic place to visit!
Lori P — Google review
First time visitor here- I went solo and I would 100% recommend!! Seeing the rockets to scale was incredible. The entire facility inside and out was extremely clean. So much to see and learn about you could spend days here. I enjoyed the planetarium show and would highly recommend getting additional tickets for it. Was fun to end the day with a show and popcorn. The G force ride and moon shot are included in GA tickets and were both fun!
Alivia W — Google review
I hadn't been for many years and it was very much updated! The museum as a whole is very educational and informative about all things space. Not only does it go into the natural wonders of the universe, but also the history and present of space technology, looking into the future via the space camps. I liked the show in the theater as well as all the interactive exhibits. Be sure to grab a map, as there are exhibits in two buildings as well as outside. Even if the weather is not good for touring outside, there are still plenty of things to look at inside the buildings. The staff were extremely pleasant, helpful, and passionate about their work. The food in the restaurant was very delicious. The gift shop also has lots of neat things for sale and you don't even need admission to shop there if you just needed a quick unique gift for someone. This is by far one of the best things to do in Hunstville. I reccommend this experience for all ages.
Solanine E — Google review
Such a cool space. Love all the static displays as well as the interactive exhibits inside. Very kid friendly but still incredibly educational and engaging for all ages. Loved taking our girls there and stoking curiosity about space.
Josh Y — Google review
What an awesome experience! This place is a fantastic little gem! The staff are helpful and friendly. I think the coolest room was the weather room as my 3 year old called it! She is obsessed with weather and she went to the tornado simulator over and over and over. She’s ver fascinated by electricity and they had a section for that that definitely fed her appetite! I’m grateful for the experience and want to go again never time we travel through!
Alicia H — Google review
It’s fun! The planetarium is a must see. Bring extra money for food (fresh and good) and the gift shop. There are rides and extra things to do that have an additional cost.

Huntsville Botanical Garden is a perfect destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The sprawling gardens offer meandering trails among various flowers, plants, and themed gardens like the Children's Garden with engaging activities for kids. Outdoor enthusiasts can explore hiking trails, birding opportunities, and nearby recreational facilities. Foodies can enjoy a variety of culinary offerings in the area while art admirers will find hidden public art installations in downtown Huntsville on the Secret Art Trail.
If you’re like us and want to have your wedding outdoors in a garden rather than a barn or a church, PLEASE consider Huntsville Botanical Gardens. We had a vision, and our special day was something we did not take lightly. We opted for a non-traditional wedding with a private ceremony on the garden grounds and celebrated with our family during the reception. Nichols Arbor was everything we dreamed of. The Garden staff was so commutative and extremely accommodating, and everyone was so friendly right from the start. The bathrooms were extremely clean, as well as the dressing suite and kitchen. The landscaping was everything we wanted for the vision we had, it was all very beautiful. One thing I’d like to highlight more than anything else: THE BAR STAFF. They are incredible. We got so many compliments on how kind and efficient they were. We cannot wait to visit the gardens more often to reminisce on this perfect day, that we will remember and cherish forever.
Carlee S — Google review
We love the outdoors. What a beautiful outdoors this place is! We bought membership for 2 and plan to visit often during the year. The walking paths are both paved and unpaved and all are great for just meandering through a lovely garden.
Perijet — Google review
Always a relaxing walk and something is always blooming. The humongous lily pads at the water garden are worth the visit but don't miss the pitcher plants garden near it. Buy the annual pass as every season has it's own beauty.
Dancingmaid — Google review
It is a nice place to visit! I've been here for 4 years and this was my first visit. My son enjoyed it, my fiance enjoyed it, too. We ended up getting the membership to visit as often as we want to. Plenty of benches to sit down at for those who have limited walking capability/need frequent breaks. A lot of shaded areas.
Angela H — Google review
Would have been 5 stars but it was a little pricey. 100$ for family of 5 to look at some flowers. Granted they were gorgeous flowers. There were lots of nice places to take pictures. The troll garden was a very fun thing.
Dixie G — Google review
A friend got us a membership for my son’s birthday and we’ve already had several great trips to the garden! Absolutely gorgeous blooms and so much to look at! I love the new Mama Zelda installation and the butterfly house is my son’s favorite.
Katherine A — Google review
10/10 this place is amazing. We stopped in the afternoon early August - was pretty warm. Shortly after arriving the nicest lady (Michaelle Goforth) saw my son's knee brace and offered to drive us around on a cart - we spent a solid 1.5 hours with her and she showed us all kinds of things - A+ on customer service! Sprawling campus, I could spend days there taking photos. Very well maintained. The butterfly house has some beautiful specimens. Captured an Indigo Bunting and Goldfinch along with a bunch of great butterfly shots. Highly recommend!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The Huntsville Botanical Garden is an absolute gem! The serene atmosphere and stunning landscapes make it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The focal point is a live music stage complemented by various seating choices such as rocking chairs, swings, sunken seating, picnic tables, and pub tables. This venue stands out as one of Huntsville's premier music spots with diverse live shows spanning folk, country, R&B, and alternative rock.
My husband and I didn’t get to spend as much time as we would have liked to here but to did find some delicious food. We loved the atmosphere and plan to come back. I would really like to come here at night when it is all lit up. The play yard looks really cool with the giant games. We ate at Co-op and Oscar Moon’s. I will share separate reviews for them

Such a cool place! So many interesting food options and a great atmosphere with indoor or outdoor seating areas. There's a huge play yard area with giant games and live music some evenings. The whole area has a cool vibe with buildings that are both modern and rustic at the same time.....Parking was a little crowded when we were here for lunch. We ate at Bark and Barrel and Oh Crepe! I will post separate reviews for each of them.

This is a great spot to grab a bite and hang out with friends and family, listen to live music on the weekends, enjoy the weather out doors, and support local businesses. Highly recommend!
Jess G — Google review
Visited to see a local band & show support they already have. This place was REALLY nice! I could tell there was security, but it was always classy/hidden. I’m far too scroungy & wild to make it a habit to visit, but nobody was bad to me. I had a fancy beer & got one for the guitarist, stuck around to hear the band for a lil while, and I hooted, hollered, and took off all spastic like a bat. I wish all layers of American Society could behave this well, stay this classy, and be so considerate! Seriously.. I think this is where doctors, lawyers, judges, and police go to blow off steam, and I’m happy for everybody! ☺️ Thank you to this venue for being GREAT; I hope I wasn’t too obnoxious for too long. 🙏🫡

Fun area with a lot of diverse options for food. The guy that was singing the Sunday evening we were there was phenomenal. Great seating area to watch the performers. Very nice little shoos to peruse.
Steven B — Google review
Went for the first time the other day. It was absolutely awesome. Highly suggest that the Korean fried Chicken from "Seoul food" and the dumplings from the Chinese restaurant, The tap room had amazing drinks in service as well. I absolutely loved it. My wife did. It's a great place to bring kids to run around while you sit back and chill and have a drink. Dan can watch football games and more. They also have little fire pits and security walking around. They don't allow vaping inside which I don't understand with open fire pits but I get it in a way as well. There's so many stores and so many places to hang out and sit down and chill. It's really cool and there are plenty of places around or down the road so it's not out by itself either. Plenty of parking. Also definitely check out the espresso martini from peak. I believe it was called and also the little sweets store that sells super awesome desserts. All was so good!
Clint W — Google review
Many food options, live music, plenty of seating... a great place for date night or an easy going family night out!

Came here expecting a nice stroll with my dog. Left because the maintenance was rude. Wont be coming back ever. I regret paying cash because I just finished the second half of my Philly after “no dogs allowed” and found STEEL WOOL in my meat. Never again 10,000/10,000.

What an incredible museum! A full range of art genres & the bonus is that new balcony is open & has a beautiful view. I have to say, hands down, Loretta & Greg were also the best guides. They are part of the security crew & just both so friendly & helpful, making the whole experience a truly memorable one!

My first tip is stop at the Huntsville Visitor Center and grab your 20% off coupon then make sure you visit this museum. The hand cut paper, tires, and metals were the big draw for me. They were absolutely stunning. There was plenty of street parking and terrific cafes nearby. The staff are friendly but the museum is a little warm inside so layer. No food or drink are allowed inside.

10/10/2025 We've been to this museum several times in the past and really enjoyed it. This is the first time that we've been since they redid the HVAC system. I seems like this museum had a lot more artwork in the past. We toured the entire museum and were done in approximately an hour and a half. There were several galleries that were closed and we were told they should be open in 7 days. Would have really appreciated it more if they displayed true art instead of copies that were printed off like a poster and displayed just to fill up empty space in the museum. I don't feel it was worth the admission price that they charged today.

This is a beautiful museum; I definitely recommend it. They had mainly local artworks, but also a few widely known artists like Chihuly. The local artists had some absolutely breathtaking works here as well. It's not a huge museum, but it's worth visiting for sure. The gift shop had some neat items, and it was definitely expensive, but that's expected because it is an art museum.

if I could select 100 stars I would! We were beyond satisfied with not only the space of the venue, The Loretta Spencer Hall, but the staff! You guys are amazing. ESPECIALLY Ms. Jennifer Goff!! She stepped up and in on so many different levels and made sure our day was everything we could imagine. Even though our ceremony was in the park and not inside the staff STILL stepped in to make sure the transition of our guests was simple and easy! I recommend you guys for EVERY event! We look forward to seeing what we can come up with for our baby shower! Keep up the good work!!

Campus No. 805, located in Huntsville, is a unique mixed-use entertainment venue housed in a former middle school building. The sprawling campus features two large breweries, bars, restaurants, an arcade, ax throwing, a golf simulator, art studio and more. The development retains the nostalgic feel of its former life as a school with lockers and laminate floors still present in the hallways.
This is such a cool venue. It's a former high school that now has bars, restaurants, and gaming areas in the former classrooms. There's a large parking lot and a green space and then the Yellowhammer brewery. The Straight to Ale brewery is here also. We went to Hops & Guac to eat which has a wall of beer that you can pour yourself. It was fun walking through the school seeing the lockers and going up the stairs and checking out the other bars. There was a lot of music playing and one section was an auditorium that had a live band playing. Can't wait to come back and see what we missed. *Feed me tacos and tell me I'm pretty*

Nice place. I went there to watch a spooky circus. They have a few restaurants and many other neat things inside. It's worth checking out just to see what they have done with the building and what all they do have going on in there. I ate at the burger place, it was great with a very open menu. I was surprised ny what they have done with the building, in a good way!

Cool place, definitely a gem in Huntsville. If anyone is traveling through Alabama then you should absolutely make this a stop. Great service, great food and priced really well, and the establishment itself is amazing. It has a bunch of fun and hidden things to explore. All ages is helpful as well. You must check this place out!

The live music. It’s decent, but merely decent music does not need to be played at a deafening volume. I promise it doesn’t make it sound any better or make it more fun.

It's known for its intimate music venue that provides an up-close experience with local artists. The skilled mixologists craft unique cocktails that surprise and delight, ensuring there's something for every palate.
Great little dive bar with local live music, open mic night Thursday nights. Great wings & bartenders. Kitchen stays open very late.Street parking.

Voodoo Lounge Bar & Grill has a great basement vibe with solid drinks that won’t break the bank. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between lively and relaxed, and the band brought some serious energy. Definitely a spot worth checking out.
Judson R — Google review
I've only been to Voodoo twice since I moved to Huntsville and the second time was significantly better! Probably helps that I went for karaoke on a Monday night, instead of being packed in there shoulder-to-shoulder late on a Saturday. Super-cool spot, just a tad claustrophobic, if that kinda thing bothers you.
Chris R — Google review
Great place to go for locals and out-of-towners alike. Can get very noisy and packed quite easily. This can be hard on the bartenders so always remember to give them grace and be understanding. Yes, the place is dark, dirty, and has a certain unpleasant smell. But it’s a dive- it is what it is. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but a lot of folks really love and find enjoyment here. They do serve some pretty yummy bar food which was a nice surprise. Love their phiddle fries and they have really good wings as well. For anyone who wants to know more about the wing flavors- Jacob told me that the Voodoo flavor is very hot and the Zombie flavor is sweet with a little spiciness.

I was in town for a work conference and ventured out on St Patrick’s day to try some local bars. Stumbled by this place just walking around. This place is what you would expect for a dive bar. Cold, cheap drinks and great service!! Honestly the service was incredible. Super chill and friendly staff. There was live acoustic music but wasn’t too loud so you could have a conversation with friends. Got some fried bar food which was also good. If I’m ever back in town, definitely will come here!

Nature & Parks
Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville offers a natural retreat spread across 2140 acres of protected woodland. It features 20 miles of hiking trails, 14 miles of biking trails, and designated campsites for outdoor enthusiasts. The park's history dates back to the late 1800s when it was home to a health resort called Hotel Monte Sano, known for its healing mountain air.
We stayed at Monte Sano State Park Campground in Alabama a few months ago, and it was an amazing experience. The campground is up in the mountains and overlooks the city, offering incredible views. One of the highlights was seeing deer everywhere—they would walk right up to you! The campground was reasonably priced and had water and electric hookups. While there was no sewer at our spot, there were convenient dump stations available. We also had a laundry facility right beside us, which was very handy. The park provides firewood and has a little convenience store on site, making it easy to get anything you might need. Another beautiful feature of the park is the Japanese garden, which is absolutely stunning. Overall, the views were incredible, and I truly loved this park. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a serene and scenic camping experience in northern Alabama.

Great hiking trail on South Plateau Loop for a newcomer to hiking. Did the 3.5 mile loop, which was well marked. Had good elevation changes and a few strenuous parts. Good parking. Cost to get in park is $5 per person. You’ll encounter other hikers, runners and bikers on the trail.

Had most of my wedding party stay at the cabins over the weekend. Stayed four nights and rented 8 cabins and one of the glamping tents over the weekend. Love this park and forest. Playground and trails for the kids. Fire pits for nightly hangouts and the renovations to the cabins are really nice. Only downside is I had difficulties with one of the park workers at the front desk. Every interaction with them was unfriendly. It became an inside joke to my friends and family that I had an enemy in the park. Everyone else I interacted with were great! Tracy who works cleaning services at the park also went out of her way to help my family find accommodations at the timberline tents when we had a flight fiasco that required some same day booking. I camped here with my mom as a toddler and I still come back every year for Christmas at the cabins.

Pretty cloudy day, but it was very nice. The waterfall was close and the scenic overlooks were very nice. I'd really like to spend more time there going through the trails. This park has a lot to offer, though.

There is so much to explore at Monte Sano State Park! My family & I were there the majority of the day & still had so much left to explore. The park has a playground area, picnic areas, wonderful lookout view, many trails for hiking or biking & is pet friendly (as long as they're leashed). They have cabins available to rent as well as a campground. There are rest areas located throughout containing restrooms as well as trashcans & also benches or picnic tables for needed breaks along the trails. The trails are accessible, well maintained & visibility marked. The views are absolutely amazing! If you go to the lookout spot, don't pass up stopping by the Civilian Conservation Corps Museum & Memorial to spend some time chatting with Mr. Oceola Jack Byrne about the history of the park as well as Huntsville! He is an absolute gem & has quite a few very interesting photos/ historical artifacts in his hut station to show off! This is one state park that you don't want to miss out on!

Love this park and area a lot. We have stayed here many times but I’d never left a review. The park employees are super friendly and the park itself is just a respite from the world down the mountain. The camping spaces are treed and wide, easy in and out and the trees and views and hiking trails are perfect. The mansion down the hill has spectacular views of sunset! Thanks for another great stay, Monte Sano.

Beatiful park. I wish we had more time to explore it but we were expected elsewhere. Level and ample sites. A bit crowded but not loud. The new restrooms are just getting completed and looked very nice but were not on line yet (110625). The old bathrooms were fine but old. No complaints. We hope to return with more time.

Additionally, visitors can stop at Constitution Hall Park, the site of Alabama's first constitutional convention and statehood. Access to the park is free, with guided tours available by reservation.
Cool historical site with lots of history. They have guided tours and certain times that will show you inside the building and they are a blacksmith that makes things there. If you miss the tours you cannot go in the buildings and there is no map or info other than signs by the building doors. The blacksmith and others leave around 2:00PM.

American restaurant
Rhythm on Monroe, situated within the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, is a charming dual-level restaurant and rooftop bar. The venue offers a romantic dining experience with a menu featuring dishes like BBQ grilled portobello, fried miso tofu, and Mexican plate options. Locally sourced ingredients are used to create vegan dishes upon request. The knowledgeable bartenders serve craft brews, cocktails, and curated wines to complement the entrees.
I went here for a birthday dinner with some family. Surprise to me, there is a complimentary desert (chess pie only) for the birthday person. It was really good, though really small. It was bursting with chocolate flavor, very moist and very sweet, served with a dollop of real whipped cream and a sliced strawberry. I also had the Asian Salad which did not disappoint. You can add a protein for additional $, and I added the grilled chicken. The grilled chicken was also full of flavor. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food choices from BBQ to Burger to Fish & Chips! The pieces of fish were large! Only 1 odd thing to me... Well ate downstairs in the dining room before going up to the rooftop where there was live music. He was good too! The odd part is the bathrooms downstairs are not inside the restaurant. There is 1 family restroom close to the door of the restaurant. The next full women's or men's restroom is a bit of a walk and no signage to indicate. I would definitely update the signage.
Trish — Google review
Service was super slow and bartender had an issue with making a slight adjustment to a drink (rolled her eyes when we asked if she could add extra syrup to a blackberry mojito). The spring rolls lacked flavor and the wedge salad was tiny - definitely not a wedge. My Bees Knees was good but overall, this place didn't hit the mark. Too many other better options to chose from in Huntsville.
David N — Google review
Our server, the bartender, was great, even though we weren't at the bar. Food was good, just not what I was expecting from a venue in the Von Braun Center. Zero German food. Missed opportunity for a venue that could be an awesome establishment. Wings were good, just not off the chain like I'd expect from an upscale place. Fish and chips were good [Brussels instead of chips were a request that was honored without a problem] . Overall it was good, but I was more shocked that on Friday night the place was almost empty. Definitely could be more than it is.
Charles K — Google review
Nice rooftop bar with plenty of seating. They do have food upstairs. Downstairs is always busy. Never had any food here only beer.
Jeremy B — Google review
Food comes out so fast that you know it can’t be fresh. My dinner made it to the table before my martini. Entrees tasted good but the portions were small for the price. We paid almost $70 for two people to eat in less than 30 minutes. For a bigger ticket you expect a little more of a dining experience.
Ashley S — Google review
Had the chicken and corn, it was pretty good! The dining area is very large, and upstairs batt is very open. The service was very good, and the wait was not long. Update 2025; must be new ownership because the food and service are now TERRIBLE! Don’t waste your money. Update: management was nice enough to provide a partial refund. So I’ve modified the review from 1 to 3 stars.
Marcus K — Google review
Great food and an upscale experience. Recently changed menu (with the new chef), so I've included pics of our food. As we shared, the hamburger was split in half. Delicious flavor... Burger tastes charbroiled/grilled and was excellent. The fries were fresh. Cream Brulee was chilled, larger than I expected and the sugar coating was perfect at just the right thickness. Staff was highly attentive. Decent prices and definitely worth the experience. Our first time, but we'll be back.
Grace Q — Google review
I honestly have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. The food, drink, service, and atmosphere was excellent. The menu has everything from bar food to premium filets. It was surprisingly empty which apparently is common. The servers recommendations were spot on and the entire staff was extremely friendly. The live music upstairs is fun and not too loud. I highly recommend this restaurant for anything from a date night to a business outing.

I'm going to write a more detailed review after several more visits... but it's looking like this is my new favorite place to be! Absolutely give it a visit, especially if you don't have any other ideas on your evening roster. You can't go wrong with this place, whether you're looking for some family fun, date night, or a place to hang out on your own and meet new people.. thirteen bucks per person, and you can game from open til close if that's your desire. Ready, player one? 😁

I’ve loved this place for years. Me and my siblings come here and we always have a good time. But Pints&Pixels, you guys gotta fire the blue haired goth girl. Super rude to my little siblings and was very rude to me when I walked in. I’m telling you, this place is losing customers because of her. She’s gotta go. Love you guys!

It was the first time going to Pints & Pixels. Went there for a Belated birthday. I was quite impressed that you paid $15 for an all day bracelet. They didn't have food there, but you could leave and come back as well! For nostalgia sake they had old video machines and pinball machines that were old and new! They also had a decent selection of beers on tap! I would definitely recommend going there again!
John V — Google review
Such a fun spot for the whole family! $15 gets you an all‑day wristband — bring lunch or a big pizza to share and spend the day hopping between all the nostalgia games. Definitely start with Ninja Turtles with your friends… you can’t die, so you can actually beat it! Drinks at the bar are great, but skip the milkshakes. Super gross. Mine came with a grocery‑store donut from a six‑pack sleeve and the whole thing tasted like cheap plain strawberry ice cream with whip cream and toppings. Definitely not worth $9.00! Go for the games, 💯 skip the shake.

*No food, only snacks | had service dog with me* Great service and atmosphere! Incredible selection of beers, I think 40 from all over the country on tap. My wife got her sour beers and I got my stouts. Really fun, old school games. Smiles everywhere! This is a great set up for a date night. Pay for games with flat fee upfront and play as much as you want We were there for several hours and each had three drinks. After drinks, games, and some snack food, the bill was $78. I'm a disabled vet with a service dog and they handled her very professionally and friendly even though it was a new experience for one of the bar tenders. We live in Montana and have family in Huntsville. We will certainly be back

Nice place to come and hang out. Good beer on tap, and good food to eat. The food and drink service was fast and friendly. Got the chili burger and coleslaw, and it was very good. The Weeden House Museum and Garden in Huntsville, Alabama is a historic treasure that offers a glimpse into the life of Maria Howard Weeden, a renowned poet and painter. The mansion, built in 1819, showcases original Federal style architecture and period furnishings. Visitors can explore the preserved rooms to learn about Alabama's rich history and gain insight into the lifestyle of early 19th-century Alabama.
Photographed a wedding here in October, and absolutely loved it! The Weeden House is a beautiful historical home, perfect for a backyard wedding under the pecan trees. It gets gorgeous light in the evening, is close to downtown for photos around Huntsville, and is one of those rare venues that has equally nice getting ready suites for both the bride and the groom. Parking is limited, so be aware of that as you make your preparations! Sarah Mismash Photography Huntsville, AL Wedding Photographer

The historic home set within Huntsville oldest, beautiful neighborhood is worth a visit. Its most famous owner was one Howard Weeden who is most noted for her sensitive and impressive portraits of African Americans. The furnishings are not original, but there are some lovely antiques to admire. The tour guide's presentation could be a bit more sophisticated when speaking to adults, but don't let that stop you from stopping here for a tour. Note: Visitors must be able to climb stairs.

I first visited on a walking tour. I saw much of the house and enjoyed the history of it. This time I was there for a celebration of life that had been planned for the backyard. Rain caused a change in plans. The parlor worked out well and I understand that staff offered the family the option of changing to the next day. The family opted to keep the original time because many guests were from out of town. The reception after the service in the dining room worked out well too.

Really cool place! The free tour (free beer included) is a perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Roadkill, the tour guide, is awesome and makes the experience so much fun. Highly recommend going here if you’re looking for something to do in the area.
Philip F — Google review
Food was mid at best. The ale was the best part and I guess that makes sense for a brewery, but the food fare was so average. The bbq poutine was imbalanced, the pulled pork tasted old and reheated, the Bistro burger was the saltiest burger I’ve ever tasted, and the three cheese pizza tasted like something I could’ve purchased in a gas station. The cherry on top for the experience was the little cockroach circling our family near the high top table during our meal. Not a top tier recommendation for Huntsville. Highly overrated.
Billy B — Google review
I loved it here! The service was excellent, the first waitress we had gave amazing recommendations based on my first couple beer choices and offered samples so I could narrow down which one I wanted and nailed my flavor profile. She was just delightful, so we came back a second time. The large pretzel was one of the best I’ve ever had with great beer cheese sauce, nice and warm (not like it had been sitting out). The salad on the menu was tasty and very fresh. The cheese curds were hot and fresh and delicious. My friend ordered the jerk chicken tacos and enjoyed them. The kids chicken tenders and fries were delightful as well. Make sure you check out the back patio on a nice day, we didn’t find it until the second time! A very cool space and tasty food. I also got some cans to go, which she grabbed for me and put right on my tab.

Paid $40 to dine in and felt completely overlooked. It felt like pulling teeth just to place my order at the bar (patio) or ask for a to-go box. I always tip 20–30%, but this was the first time I genuinely couldn’t justify leaving one. If this is the level of service for dine-in customers, you’re better off just ordering to-go.

Madison County Nature Trail, located atop Green Mountain in southeast Huntsville, offers a picturesque 1.5-mile walking trail around Sky Lake. The trail is perfect for new hikers and families, with rest areas, a pavilion, and picnic spots along the way. The park features a covered bridge, old log cabin, wooden chapel, fairy treehouses, a wishing well, and small waterfalls to explore.
Great little nature walk, especially in the fall when you can find a covered bridge and the leaves are changing. There's also a lot of stuff to see on your walk. It's neat to find all the little places. It's a loop so it's not hard to do in under an hour but do it at your leisure.

Such a beautiful place! I would love to come back during Fall when the leaves turn colors😍

Loved this little hike. Gravel trail around lake, bathrooms, venue, historic markers and we saw a buck!

I didn’t know this Beautiful Nature Trail was so close to were I live. I took my dad, he was visiting me from Puerto Rico and we had an amazing time. We didn’t walk too much on the trails but I’m definitely going back prepared for it. The day was perfect! There’s picnic areas, restrooms are clean, they also have an area that my guess you can rent for birthdays party. I was so impressed of that beauty that Mother Nature offer us. I took so many pictures, I’m definitely going back.

Burritt on the Mountain is a great spot in Huntsville that is filled with a ton of history. At this venue there are many events trails, historical points and scenic overlooks. Due to its location, it is often missed by people who call the Huntsville area home. Be sure to add it to your trip if you are from out of town or to your weekend plans if you’re a local.

Went for the Wednesday Cocktails at The View. It's was a fantastic time with a great view. A table was reserved for $25, but it got a better and closer view. I'd highly recommend this for a fun and enjoyable date night. Drinks are about $10. Just your average selection, but be sure to reserve food the day before if you want food. Overall, it was a great time and a memorable date night.

Bar
The Nook is a popular spot in Huntsville, offering a unique blend of Southern and German cuisine along with an extensive selection of over 500 beers. Despite its unassuming exterior, this craft beer bar has been a staple since the 1950s. The interior features low ceilings and a haphazard layout with taps scattered throughout the space.
The (exceptional) Nook creates a comfortable and relaxing vibe. I’ve come here a few times, and it’s the kind of place I enjoy sharing with others. They offer creole and cajun cuisine. My favorite is the gumbo (theres a slight sweetness to it), but for now I still get the sampler for $16 where you can pick 3 samples of any specialty. I enjoy the samplers with a large cheese plate since the samplers already come with crackers ;) In the picture, this is the small cheese plate, but i upgraded to the large because i didn’t have an idea of how quite small it is. I enjoy my meal with the pumpkin ale. It doesn’t taste too much like pumpkin, which is great, i did not want it to. It’s a satisfying hint of hop and fall in this beautiful winter/spring weather. My server’s name was Monica. This is the first she’s served me, but I can honestly say all the people who work here, or rather, who have served me, have been exceptional personalities. Especially the quirky ones. The cooks are amazing, whoever you are. Thank you to the owner for establishing this wonderful place here in my hometown of Huntsville, AL. For your own reference, my meal was around $35. P.S: The only thing I’d tweak is the modern music outside—it competes with the natural sounds of the trees, wind, and birds. It’s not a major issue, but if the playlist matched the calm atmosphere, it would blend in better. That said, the music itself is good and popular, just a bit distracting.
Terona W — Google review
Our first visit. We didn't try the food but we did get reservations for German night. We were told that's important because they sell out. We sat outside which was very nice. Most of the area is covered and the areas that aren't are shaded. It's a nice place to relax and have a beer. Their staff is very friendly and the beer list is impressive. It's truly a hidden gem. If loud baring music is your thing you won't find it here and that's a plus for me. I'm sure we'll be back soon. We came back for German Food Night. I've never had Zigeunerschnitzel before. It was really good.
Doug L — Google review
The service was phenomenal, and so was the atmosphere. Had the Rib-Eye with Horseradish on Chicago Roll sandwich, and it was pretty good! Wide variety of beer selection for anyone's liking!
Sergio B — Google review
The draft beer selection brought me to try the Nook My son had told me about this place, so I tried it one afternoon. They tout having 81 draft beers. 32 are local beers - over 400 bottle beers- 150 bourbons- 75 scotches. Something for everyone. The food was a very pleasant surprise. I had the Jambalaya and it was some of the best I've tasted. It was masterfully cooked and seasoned perfectly. This meal made it worth a visit, no matter what you might choose to drink.
Tony F — Google review
Tried this place for the first time, but was very disappointed. The food wasn't good. My wife and I both had the combination half sandwiches and a bowl of a specialty. She had gumbo, and I had red beans and rice. The gumbo was bland, and we could taste the tomato paste. The red beans and rice was also bland. The sandwich was small and served with saltine crackers. The whole plate probably cost about $4 or $5 to make but charged $14. We also ordered the chips and salsa appetizer for $7, which turned out to be store bought Pace salsa and Tostitos or similar. Not made in house. The beer choices are vast, but we found out that what is posted on the website is outdated versus what they actually have, so we were disappointed to find that the beers we had picked to try before we came were no longer available. My wife had a coffee stout, which was good, I had the red ale made by Guinness that tasted like water. Total of $63, but it wasn't worth it. The ambiance is nice, and it's a nice place atmosphere wise, but this is a solid pass for the next go around.
Andrew O — Google review
This place is a well-established, hidden gem. Amazing selection of beer and bourbon and a very knowledgeable staff to help you get over decision paralysis! Food is good ... but who goes there for the food? Overall amazing place to go after work or meet up with friends.
Tim K — Google review
This is one of my favorite bars in Huntsville. It’s always populated but never crowded due to being far from downtown and tucked away on Bob Wallace… meaning you’re never going to be bothered by the loud beautiful babies that may frequent noisier bars. This is a locals-only kind of haunt. The staff is always professional and expeditious, and the beer list is extensive and will be sure to satisfy whatever your beer taste is. The Nook serves all the Alabama state faves, as well as a wide variety of international fare. They sell beer, mead, cider, whiskey, whatever you’re in the mood for. The best part of the Nook is the beautiful backyard patio. It’s heated/zipped off in cooler weather, and perfect in the summer, with lush greenery and a privacy fence. This place is always a treat!
Rebecca M — Google review
Just have to brag on this establishment. I attended an engagement party here and it was so fun that I decided to host my brother’s graduation party here as well. The Nook was so incredibly easy to work with- it was affordable- multiple guest came up and told me how wonderful the service they had was, the pizza, the wide selection of craft beers and how happy they were with the overall party. I called once to reserve and once for final confirmation and it could not have been more smooth. It was rainy and they put up clear surrounding walls to keep us dry, had a spot for our music guy. So if you’re considering using them for an event I highly highly recommend it! Might have to just host some more parties just to use them again ha!

Located in the heart of downtown Huntsville, Purveyor serves up upscale American fare alongside unique bourbons and wines in a sleek and stylish space. The restaurant features brick-lined walls, a porch, and comfortable seating with wood, copper, and brass accents. It's perfect for foodies looking for something different than the typical chain restaurants in town.
We celebrated my mom’s birthday here, and it was an amazing experience! Every dish we ordered was fantastic, but the standout favorite was the lobster cream corn — an absolute must-try. We also had the giant sweet water prawns, black bass, and scallops, all of which were delicious and skillfully prepared to highlight the natural flavors of the seafood. I’m always wary of dishes being overly salty, but that wasn’t an issue here; everything was perfectly balanced. The service was impeccable, making the evening even more special. I’ll definitely be returning for the next special occasion!
Tina H — Google review
This was a phenomenal dining experience! Everything from the food, the waitstaff, and the building itself was first class. My husband and I dined here to celebrate Valentine’s Day and took advantage of the special Valentine’s Day menu option. Every course was artfully presented and delivered an amazing taste experience. Our waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu, which was great since it was our first time dining here. The space we were seated in felt very intimate and added to the overall experience. I feel that the price of the menu items is fair considering the quality and presentation of them!!

This restaurant group puts out great food and better service at the two establishments we went to. The pork belly was delicious. The show stopper was the salad wrapped in nori...it was unbelievable. Great short rib and looked like a great craft cocktail menu.

Great food with tons of flavor. The short rib Wellington was fantastic. The small, but mighty A5 wagyu taco was a flavor bomb. Great cocktails and nice bartender.

This one is tough. My fiance and I went here for our 1 year anniversary and was let down. The atmosphere is wonderful. Our service was incredible. The appetizers were good, but the portions were lacking. $18 for 2 one inch tacos and $19 for 2 spring rolls. I ordered the $45 snapper along with a side of mushrooms and was not impressed. I also ordered 2 $17 cocktails that were served in a wine glass full of ice, so 3 sips later, they were gone. We left feeling very disappointed and still hungry.
Cristie C — Google review
Purveyor is truly one of Huntsville’s finest dining experiences. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels sophisticated yet warm — the kind of place where every detail, from the lighting to the service, feels intentional. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive without ever being overbearing, which makes the entire evening flow effortlessly. The food? Absolutely exquisite. Each dish feels like a work of art — beautifully presented, thoughtfully seasoned, and layered with flavor. The wine and cocktail selections complement the menu perfectly, and it’s clear that quality and creativity sit at the heart of everything they do. Whether you’re celebrating something special or simply treating yourself to an exceptional night out, Purveyor never disappoints. It’s refined, memorable, and easily one of my favorite places in Huntsville to dine and unwind.
J' Q — Google review
The establishment was nice and clean. The front door when we went was not welcoming or marked very well at all. It just seemed confusing how their entrance was at the time. The drinks were good and food was overall good. The music choice for the night was odd. The ambiance inside was dark and calm but the music was uptempo pop music.
Kevin B — Google review
We had the pleasure of dining at Purveyor for our Anniversary and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance set the stage for a special evening. The elegant decor, soft lighting, and impeccable service created a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere. The menu offered a wide variety of options, each dish thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. We started with the pork belly (not pictured) which was a delightful balance of flavors and textures. Very tender and good. For the main course, I chose the chicken, mostly tender, flavorful, and paired with an exquisite sauce that brought the dish to life. Parts of the chicken was dry, but for the most part, it was good. My husband had the steak and for desert, we had the peach cobbler, which was okay. Nothing too exciting. I would highly recommend it for a special occasion or a night when you want to treat yourself to something extraordinary. We will definitely be returning.

Green Bus Brewing is one of the many craft breweries in Huntsville, offering a unique experience for beer enthusiasts. As a nano brewery, they specialize in creating small batches of beer, resulting in a diverse and ever-changing tap list. Visitors can enjoy live music on weekends while savoring regional favorites like Rocktoberfest, Six Iron, and Vapor Trail.
We stopped by this afternoon after a early dinner. The beer was very good. We had the Hefeweisen, Dominant Red and Tarimisu Milk Stout. Service was great. We'll be back. I'm guessing most of the folks there were frequent customers.

Awesome little brewery in a small old building downtown. Live music on a Sunday afternoon was a pleasant surprise. The acoustic guitar & piano duo were fantastic entertainment (/joshallisonmusic). The beers were fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was spectacular in this old building. Definitely a must-stop destination.
Jamey M — Google review
Came here for coffee and really enjoyed the atmosphere!! It’s pretty upbeat and had a good crowd when we were there. Overall, it’s central to downtown, so really convenient if you’re out and about strolling or coming from work at the courthouse or something. I knocked a star simply because the coffee was okay, not strong in flavor and there was a strange aftertaste. Also was hoping for a larger coffee, but the small was already pricey so we stuck with that. We would definitely love to come back for the beer. They had great selections of local beers / drafts to choose from, and it seemed like a great place to study or hang out with friends.

Cool old brick interior building with a long bar as well as a small upstairs seating area. There was a two man band outside when I visited and they sounded great. The raz and lemonade slush were really good. Great location cool brewery. I love the way people just pull up a chair outside the entrance and hang out.

Great atmosphere and music! If you want to hear music, come here. Drink beer and sit quietly? Come here! Have great craft beer? Come here! The staff knows their beer, and the bartender came by and offered local donuts from Sugar Belle. A TV in the back is good for folks who want to watch a game. All together a fun place! They also have a few things up for order if you're hungry, or you can order Grub South from a kiosk! Great location downtown.

Love this brewery! The atmosphere is great! Plenty of seating while keeping decent distancing. The staff is super friendly, and is willing to take time to deep dive all the different beverages they have to offer. They have some of the most interesting beers there, and man are they good! Plan on visiting this place regularly, especially after a good run downtown. Highly recommended!

Update 2/24: I still come here often and it's really one of the best places to grab a drink whether it's in a glass and chilling on location or in a purple cup. I've always gotten good service here. They beertenders are always friendly and all in all it's a great Huntsville brewery. This is a great little brewery. Great beers and a nice, chill atmosphere. First time here, but had a great time! Drinks are really good, as is the food. The service was excellent. And golfing was fun. I can’t speak as to the price for rounds, as this was for a work event, but food and drink prices were “standard.” Will return.

Go on Tuesday! Enjoy the half priced special - While our server was nice, getting a drink was difficult she returned twice telling us we needed to change our order because they didn’t have menu items(sunset marg) I’m giving her four stars because she gave us an extra few minutes due to the inconvenience. However, the drinks were weak & we had to get shots included. - Not sure what the rules are but is smoking allowed in the bays? Group next to us had everything from vapes to cigars & was never once told to put it out. Playing next to that was NOT enjoyable.

While my server was excellent, the journey to get to her was interesting. Check in was normal. When I asked could I sit at the bar, the gentlemen suggested I go upstairs or downstairs. When I insisted on main level bar I could sense disappointment. Now I’m intrigued. As soon as I sit down the lady with glasses and long nose quickly made me realize why he was hesitant for me to go to that bar. Her greeting was “huh 😡.” I told her her demeanor seemed a little off and was I reading it incorrectly to which she replied possibly. To me, that means you were correct, but I don’t want to admit it. I broke through her hard shell with small talk, but I’m very skilled at dealing with people and I can tell someone younger and not timid would definitely have an issue with the demeanor. I also caught weird vibes from the server with two high Afro puffs. I said hi to her as she walked very closely by me and she completely blew me off. Maybe she didn’t hear me. The venue itself is very clean.
Narom L — Google review
This was my first time ever golfing beyond of a few rounds of mini golf here and there. Took me a couple of swings to get the hang of it, was a lot of fun! They had a variety of different versions of games you could play where you got points based on which hole and how many bounces, etc. definitely would recommend for a family or work outing because of the multiplayer aspect. Other comments remarked about the service, I found the service to be perfectly fine and quick and friendly. You do have to pay $5 once and only once, to create an account to keep track of score.
Joe D — Google review
The golf part is so much fun, but I can't think of a single time I've had a good experience when it comes to ordering food. It always takes way to long to even make contact with the server. Ordering food and drinks is usually 20 to 30 minutes in, and then another 30 minutes to get the food on the table. On top of all that, you're almost guaranteed to sit needing a refill, no one to ask for a napkin, and Lord help you if your food is wrong or missing something - you're on your own. Stick to the golf and you'll have a great time. Order food at your own risk.

Catacomb 435 is a distinctive underground bar in the heart of Huntsville, offering a unique experience for patrons seeking something beyond the typical bar scene. With its ambiance resembling ancient catacombs, including dimly lit stone walls and archways, it provides an intimate atmosphere perfect for enjoying craft cocktails or local brews. This 1920s-inspired speakeasy is known for its limited seating and requires reservations made well in advance.
Amazing speakeasy experience. The drinks were absolutely phenomenal and the bartender was fantastic. Her suggestion of everything works with everything was very true. They do things a little differently than other places so make sure to give it a go! Make a reservation online and enjoy the ride!

First time at a bar that required a reservations. This place is hidden and in a lower level. Great low light atmosphere. All the drink where mixed to perfection and since we sat at the bar we got to see the mix wizard in action. Great service and a great time. Next time we are in Huntsville we will be makind a stop at Catacomb 435..
JMPJOSE — Google review
What an absolutely amazing experience unlike anything I've ever had! I've been to speakeasy vibe spots before, but this takes the cheesy completely out of it and steps into top tier experience. Yes, you need a reservation and a password. Yes, you're limited to 2 hours. Yes, you have to have directions and it's in a basement. And yes, it's totally worth it. The space is absolutely beautiful but also dark. You may need a flashlight to fill out your drink card, but the darkness is needed to complete the vibe. The glass wear is BEAUTIFUL. Every glass was not only perfect for the drink it held but also had a wonderful feeling in the hand. Each had a good weight and beautiful designs deep in the glass. I could nerd out about it and the bar. All incredibly selected details. And details matter. We each got 3 drinks (and they have mocktails, too, so everyone can experience the wildly creative and special mixtures!) with different profiles and they were all delicious and spot on. They do say that they'll make you a new one if you don't like it, but even after my first drink I wondered how anyone would return one. Our server was great, giving us details of each drink she brought and checking in once we'd had a few sips to make sure they were pleasurable. The drinks are reasonably priced considering the atmosphere, quality of ingredients, and care put into each one. Prices range from $15-20 per drink. This will definitely be on my list of favorite experiences, and I'm excited about going back the next time I'm in town!
Mandy J — Google review
This speakeasy was awesome. Many comments about the smoke inside are valid, but we just took it as another part of the experience. We spent a little over an hour on 2 separate orders of drinks. The actual cocktail experience was phenomenal. The woman that made our drinks was 10/10. This place does not serve any food, so just be aware of that. We did have one “odd” experience of being asked not to film or photograph inside. The man that told us not to did it in a witty way, but we were taken back by seeing others photograph in the moment. There are also pictures online of the facility. I would just recommend if the facility wants no pictures/videos to put that on the email instructions. I think it’s actually a negative to not allow photos/videos because of the coolness of the experience. More people will want to go.
Kevin B — Google review

First time a bartender elevates the experience by being so knowledgeable about every single ingredient that's in the cocktail, it was probably the best cocktail I have ever had. The atmosphere was great too, definitely recommended!
Sergio B — Google review
Fantastic experience - small and intimate inside with an air of secrecy. We sat at the bar and watched the drinks being made and chatted with the bartenders, who were both awesome! Every drink was unique and yummy and we learned some things too. We will definitely be back! Note - those with asthma should be aware that although the bar is nonsmoking, they do light things on fire and add smoke to drinks so it does have a smokey atmosphere.

As both a server and bartender, she juggled everything with a smile and genuine warmth. Her recommendations were spot-on, our drinks were perfectly mixed, and her attention to detail was unmatched. You can tell she truly cares about her guests and takes pride in what she does. If you’re lucky enough to be in Maria’s section, you’re guaranteed a great experience!

Perfect French 75 and Amazing Service! Kayla at Baker & Able is a top-notch bartender! She made me the best French 75 I've ever had—it was perfectly balanced and delicious. Her service was fantastic, and she was so friendly. If you visit, you have to ask for a drink from her! Love her sweet spirit and amazing service. Thank you for the best night out for date night with my love!

One - the view amazing. Two - the service also amazing. Great customer service. Three - inventive and unique cocktail selections. They update frequently. Always fun way to try new and interesting creations. Four - nice selection of small bites. We’ve tried the fig and pig flatbread, the artesianal mixed nuts, popcorn etc. you get the idea something to snack on while you enjoy your beverage and view. Hands down best bartender Phil knocks it out of the park. Look at these amazing cocktails.

The food options are constantly evolving, offering fan favorites like sushi burritos and Adult Capri Suns during live shows. With its woodsy charm and circular seating arrangement, the venue creates a casual and inviting atmosphere for music enthusiasts.
This is so fun. I went for Tamarind and found a cool little kick it spot. Lots of ipen space and options for food and drinks. Odd place to find at first, it is literally a camp of food trailers, an old firetruck and a bar. Cool lighting and lots of seating with different surroundings, cover and not. It was fun and the food was great.

I have been going to The Camp for a while now. I first met Emily Joseph & her band at The Camp and immediately loved the atmosphere. Such a great spot! My dogs love it there too! Very pet friendly, I recently had my daughter’s 21st birthday there on the night of Oct 4th, and it was the best night ever! Jordyn, Evan and the bar staff were so attentive to my daughter! They went out of their way to make my daughter’s night unforgettable! From beginning to end, we had exceptional service. The nachos are my favorite and my daughter loves the chicken tenders & fries. The laid back, come as you are atmosphere, coupled with great music, fun & even space to watch the game will have you feeling like there is no where else you need to be! The. Camp is probably the best spot in HSV! It’s a total vibe!

This was a cool experience, there is the big farmers market going out right outside and then they were doing a cooking demonstration and serving food inside. The bar area is gorgeous and the seating is really interesting. The food wasn’t super great, but the atmosphere made up for it.

Great atmosphere, food and service. There was a live band playing when we arrived. Ordering food was super easy; just sit down at a table, scan the QR and order. Food came out quickly and was hot and delicious. After the band's set was over they still played a good assortment of music and nobody rushed us as closing approached. I took 3 children with, so it's family friendly but you could also enjoy a date here. Highly recommend.

Civil Axe Throwing in Huntsville is the perfect destination for those seeking an exhilarating and unique experience. This engaging sport invites participants to test their skills by aiming for the bullseye with axes, making it a fantastic way to bond with friends while trying something new. The venue boasts a friendly atmosphere, where knowledgeable instructors guide you through safety protocols and scoring systems, ensuring everyone feels comfortable as they learn the ropes. With various throwing styles and axe options available, there's plenty of room for challenge and fun.
We had an awesome time! The guys were very nice and patient with us. The atmosphere was great as well. I would say to dress cool because it can get a little warm in there due to the setup. But I highly recommend going. I can’t wait to go back soon!

This was a fun outing. Place is pretty bare-bones, but it is ax-throwing, after all. We took a group of five, with one who has special needs. We were accommodated easily, and the owner interacted with us often. The location is fantastic. We will definitely be repeating this outing, maybe with a larger group.

My husband and I enjoyed our whole experience at Civil Axe. Booking online was smooth, the waiver was easy to complete online, the customer service was awesome! The employee that assisted us was so nice. He ensured that we knew the safety rules and made the learning progress so fun. The facility is accommodating with fans, tables, chairs, and snacks/drinks for purchase. Highly recommend!
Carly B — Google review
Went for Mother's Day and had a great time. It was a first for all the kids and they had a blast. Who doesn't want to throw sharp objects across a room?!
Kristen C — Google review
Nathan was very friendly and helpful. The safety guidelines were well-explained. Points/scoring were explained. After giving us some time to settle into basic throwing (we were newbies), he showed us a harder throwing style. With three different throwing styles, two different axe options, and 5 separate targets, it was thoroughly challenging and entertaining. The environment is spaced out enough to feel comfortable with 2 people on a lane. It was approximately $24 per person for an hour and it's a very active/fun hour. Their website is currently dorked up and allowing reservations of 3p and later, but if you stop by or call, they sometimes have reservations as early as 1230p.
G. M — Google review
I've been here twice. The first time I was here, the instructor was super interactive and showed us how to throw really thoroughly and even multiple trick shots within the realm of what axes we had. I went yesterday and while the initial instruction was good. There were a significantly less time with the other things that I thought would have been fun to learn, especially coming from our previous experience. Also, even in the main instruction, it seemed rushed and it was not until the instructor noticed that many people are trying to throw one-handed that they even tried to showed us how to throw one handed. The experience itself is super fun. But, I guess each instructor brings her own charisma so that may enhance or lessons someone's experience.
Gray L — Google review
Civil Axe kicks axe! My wife and sons and I truly enjoyed an action packed hour of throwing axes, knives, and even a shovel! First time for us and we received a professional safety brief and live demo with do's and don'ts from the staff. Unique experience and one that we will definitely revisit. Highly recommend 1 hour for up to four people to enable a steady rotation without exhaustion. Part II - Visited Civil again with grandpa and had a black throwing knives, shovels, axes and grenades (minus the grenades). Great for a date or family fun. Requires some coordination and nominal arm strength. Knives are very light while the butcher knife is a beast. Dress comfortably.

Tiki bar
Phat Sammy's is a vibrant underground spot in Huntsville, known for its beach-themed decor and creative menu. The restaurant offers a variety of inventive burgers, wings, and tiki cocktails that transport diners to a tropical paradise. One of their legendary dishes is the Phat Fries, featuring fried chicken, cheese curds, Chinese sausage gravy, kimchi sauce, and a fried egg.
Stopped by this place for lunch on my way back from shooting on a Saturday afternoon. The entrance was slightly obscured by a giant inflatable purple tentacle (lol) so I missed it and did a laptop around the block before finding it. The entrance is small and narrow and you go down some winding stairs to a basement bar and seating area. It reminds me a lot of some of the places in Tokyo's Roppongi district with their underground bars -- just Phat Sammy's doesn't get drained of Jack by a bunch of Marines on libo. But I digress. The ambiance is really nice, especially if you grew up with CRT TVs and SNES. Seeing Harvest Moon on a tube TV brings you back. Their menu is pretty eclectic, some.asian fusion and American classics. I ordered the Cubano which turned out to be very good. They were running a $5 draft beer special (which included IPAs) which was also cool. The food was very good and didn't take forever to come out. I enjoyed the fries and the overall experience. Definitely a cool hidden gem I'd take someone on a date if I was single. Probably more nostalgic if you're late 30s to early 50s, but worth a shot for anyone looking for a place to relax and chill out in a great environment.

We are in town for an event and went wandering downtown. Found Phat Sammy’s by accident. Walking down the stairs seemed odd but the experience was great! Josey (I think is his name but the spelling may be off) was amazing and explained the food, made perfect drinks, and overall provided a great experience! We loved everything!!!!!! Will definitely mark as a place to return to when we come back to Huntsville.
K L — Google review
A friend and I went for drinks and we loved our server Celeste! She chatted with us about all the unique elements on the menu, specifically in the cocktails. I learned about all sorts of new ingredients. I got one of the Wednesday special cocktails which came with popping bobas. So cute! My friend got the Saturn which was also good, though a bit too sweet for my taste. I’ll have to try the food next time! There was a great variety of seating including low and high tables, and cushy chairs and a couch. The decor is bright and fun. A nice casual place. It was quiet when we got there, but got noisier as the night went on in preparation for a comedy show. So just check their schedule depending on what you’re in the mood for.

4/25 Update: I've been a few times here recently and I'd still highly recommend it. Last time I went the server said they are changing the food menu again. Hopefully that's a good thing. 1/24 Update: It's been awhile since I've stopped in at Phat Sammie's and I'm happy that they are just as good as before. The atmosphere is always cool and layed back. (I really enjoyed the old WF wrestling on the big screen. Haha a lot of fun I didn't know I needed.) Our server was really nice and just the right amount of attentive and the food was delicious, as always! The happy hour is totally worth it. All the apps are good and who does enjoy a good deal? I also had the KFC sandwich and let me tell you, that was one of the juiciest and flavorful chicken sandwiches I've ever had. If you haven't been in awhile, please stop by and support one of our amazing local businesses. Definitely my favorite place to eat downtown. The food is always on point. Always something new and always something good. Their staples are just as great though. I love their cocktails too. If you want something interesting, go on Wu Tang Wednesdays. They always make a specialty cocktail and it's always good. These are experienced bartenders. They know what's up, just like the food staff. I wish I was rich where I could eat here every night.

this was my first time here and it was so awesome! the stairs to get underground were really cool. i had spam hawaiian fried rice and it was fire. they had a dj for juneteenth that kept the vibes going and the servers/chefs looked like they actually enjoyed being there and were having a good time.

Definitely not the best food I’ve had. The quality was very poor. Took forever for the waiter to get me the menu and the overall atmosphere is just not great. The bar counter was not clean and overall the restaurant is not up to the minimum sanitary standard. Do not be deceived by the photos. The food looks nothing like it and does not taste great.

WHAT A VIBE. My coworker told me about this place and how it was this dimly-lit downstairs hybrid of what appeared to be Hawaiian and Japanese, and tonight I and my partner went there. I got the Kani Burger and Crab Rangoons; she got the Tuna Nachos. It was SO flavorful. I had to make sure to leave a review, and our waitress's son was a cook in the back, so I had to go give my respect to him and all the workers back there. Will definitely be back! Thanks for a superb vibe.

The vibe is super cool, service was okay, but man their food was mid. Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but the katsu ramen tasted like cheap noodles and broth. We also ordered the bahn mi and felt it was pretty dry. Phat fries were good though.

Stella's Elixir Lounge in Huntsville offers a unique rooftop bar and lounge experience, featuring a 4,000 square foot space that seamlessly transitions from an elegant indoor bar to open-air rooftop seating with cozy fire pits and cabanas. The ambiance is reminiscent of Hollywood's golden age, with striking geometric decor and pops of color. The bar menu includes a variety of expertly crafted cocktails, signature elixirs, as well as a well-curated wine and beer selection.
My husband and I always love a night out at Stella’s. We’ve always loved everyone that works there and the owners are super friendly when they’re there hanging out! You can get all different types of vibes at Stella’s. It’s a laid back environment typically on a week night but on the weekends, it becomes one of the best places to be (I’m in my 30s so I don’t love the Whiskey Bottom vibes). You’re able to dance and have a good time to great music while enjoying awesome drinks. They have one of those jukeboxes that you can put on songs so it keeps it lively. They even have an indoor/outdoor patio with some TVs so you can catch the big game events while spending time there without having to go to a packed sports bar. Truly the best of every world! You definitely won’t regret spending your time at Stella’s!

The atmosphere is awesome but that’s what you’re paying for. The drinks were terrible, service just ok. My husband ordered the caramel apple mule and it didn’t taste like caramel at all. I had the Orange Creamsicle drink and it tasted like sour mix with no alcohol at all. Some oddly sweet frothy stuff on top.

Stella's is such a unique spot for a fun and relaxing place to spend time with friends. Angela, the owner, is very kind and she and her team work hard to make the entire experience great for everyone. If you're looking for someplace to go downtown, Stella's should be your go to! Super cute place with rooftop access! Tons of seating and a great crowd. We hung around for about an hour, loved their drinks. A good mix of younger people and older people. Inside was crowded and louder than outside but we had a great time! I recommend their key lime pie drink—SO good!!

tonight was me and my bfs first time and definitely our last time coming to stella’s. the bartenders were busy so we understood that ordering drinks would take a while. however we sat at the bar for about 20 minutes before being acknowledged at all. we decided to open a tab since we planned on ordering more. my bf finished his drink and was getting ignored once again. even after we had already caught the bartenders ( girl with leaf tattoos) attention and she said she would get back to us but would then go and take other people’s orders before us. another bartender finally acknowledged us but by that time we just wanted to leave since we did not feel welcome there. as a small business owner myself i can understand that some people may have off days but completely ignoring customers is not acceptable. if you’d like great service go to bake and able or the dirty olive!

Rain or shine, X Golf Huntsville is an awesome place to play and practice on golf courses around the world! The entire team, led by club pro Jonathon Lynch, is professional, engaging, and supportive. Fully stocked bar, but the atmosphere is family friendly. Computer settings accommodate all skill ranges from Novice to Professional. Grab a friend and join the X Golf MON or TUE night leagues to play golf, meet new people and have fun in friendly competition. Bring your own clubs. Wear street shoes or soft spike golf shoes. Plan on 1 hour for a solo round or 2 hrs to play 18 with a buddy. Walk ins are accepted, but online reservations recommended for weekend play due to popularity. Grab a drink, hit a button in the floor to tee it up -- and swing away!

Xgolf is awesome. Its pretty realistic. The game tracks your swing and remembers it so it can help track the ball. You even get to putt. The putting is spot on. Gives stats on the side of the screen. Last thing I want to do is thwart the reviews of this really neat place, but I want to give people a heads up. We arrived 10 minutes before our scheduled hour reservation at 2. The guys in our bay kept playing for 15-20 minutes with not much urgency to leave. We were understanding, and figured that we would be given to us as well. Everyone seemed nice about it. When we started our round at 2:35, we were confused after being told there wasn’t much time left and was suggested shorter games/courses. We knew we didn’t have all the time in the world, but we decided to play as much into 18 as we could. Come hole 7, we were asked to leave right at the dot of 3:00pm. I understand the urgency to keep a schedule, I do, but simply kicking a group out who drove all the way to enjoy an hour of golf without cutting us any slack like the previous group is kinda odd. Really cool technology and setup. Perfect to play for a birthday or work party, just make sure to be adamant about your own tee time to the employees. They were all very nice.

Wonderful place to golf indoors. Golfed there 93 times in 2023 and played dozens of courses from around the world. The staff is great. They are very friendly and attentive. I just completed a four-package golf instruction with Jonathon, and I can clearly see improvement in my on-course game. Also, I highly recommend joining one of the leagues. Founded by passionate local parents, this enchanting theater invites children aged three and older to immerse themselves in the magical realm of live performances. Each season, audiences can look forward to an array of captivating productions that promise delightful experiences for families.
Space Monkeys The Adventures of Baker and Able was terrific. The performers were truly invested in their roles. It was well written and also educational. We can't say enough great things about Fantasy Playhouse. They are a true treasure. Looking forward to next season.

This children’s theater is a joyful celebration of every child’s unique voice, imagination, and identity. It’s a space where kids/teens are not only encouraged to express themselves but are embraced exactly as they are. They saw my child as creative, curious, and full of potential. Through storytelling and performance, they empowered her to be confident, compassionate, and courageous, both on stage and in life. Fantasy has made a profound impact on her life and I will forever be grateful. 10 out of 10!

We did a 1 week summer camp here for our 4 year old and she loved it! The staff, including the CEO who was there daily, were absolutely the sweetest with the littles. They truly are invested in bringing arts to Huntsville and making them accessible to all kids.
Katelyn G — Google review
Myself and my children have been involved in Fantasy's classes, camps, and main stage productions for several years now. We have also attended many of their shows that were not involved in. In my children, I have seen them grow and develop new skills in speaking, movement, decision making, and more. Their confidence has grown. They have learned professionalism and respect. They have made countless friends. They have experienced the disappointment of not getting a role and learning from the journey and they have experienced the excitement of a casting call and feeling on top of the world. They've learned how to handle both gracefully. They have learned how to work hard on days that they are excited about learning their lines, blocking, dance, and music, as well as days that they maybe aren't as excited. They have learned teamwork and trusting in your cast mates. They have learned how to handle issues and conflict. I could go on and on. In myself, I have gained all of the above and more. I have unlocked new skills, been humbled to learn and take direction even in ways that I didn't necessarily think of. We have gained a community of loving people both in the staff and in the other volunteers. I can't say enough about fantasy. No organization is perfect, but what I have seen is an organization run by people who genuinely care. They care about the children, the quality of their classes and shows, and they care about the community. I'm proud to be a part of the fantasy family!

I absolutely love these plays. We saw Dr. Osborne do a magic show. The events they have are always family friendly and inexpensive. We paid $8 a ticket I believe. Well worth it. We bought season tickets because it never disappoints us. They show wonderful plays and you really feel like part of the show.
Sunny P — Google review
I grew up attending Fantasy Playhouse and have wonderful memories of it but I just took my daughter and couldn't believe how bad it was. Maybe it was just Alice in Wonderland is a difficult play to pull off well but it was just BAD. I appreciate the ASL for the hearing impaired but having so many people on stage was distracting. I think having one show for the hearing impaired would be better or just having one ASL for the entire show. On top of that I didn't appreciate males playing female roles and vice versa and don't appreciate that pushed on my children. That was really the nail in the coffin for me and I won't be returning with my children for that reason alone.
Courtney H — Google review
Fantasy Playhouse Children's Theater performances are engaging and delightful for viewers of all ages! The educational programs and camps are exemplary and led by professional & caring instructors. Our 5 year old daughter had so much fun at summer camp on the first day that she told us she "wanted to hug the whole building!" We've registered her for a second camp session this summer! The Rocket City Rover offers a unique and fun way to explore downtown Huntsville. This pedal-powered party trolley can accommodate up to 14 people, allowing riders to enjoy sightseeing, physical activity, and socializing all at once. Riders can choose to engage in a heart-pumping workout by disengaging the motor and tackling downtown's gentle hills and valleys.
We booked the Rocket City Rover Pub crawl for my Best Friends Birthday and we were not disappointed at all. First of all I didn't realize how lively downtown Huntsville was. There was so much going on. The rover host allowed us to pick which bars we wanted to go to but we just said you pick! We went to furniture factory, Campus 805 and Stella's. We were able to order drinks in purple cups then hop back on the peddler. For those worried about peddling they can put it in automatic mode, also there is a bench in the back and two seats that don't have peddles which worked out well for our group. The host played whatever music we requested and he was so cool and entertained us the whole time. You will have an amazing time so don't forget to tip the host and driver for their services. They do have cash app available if you need to pay that way. I will definitely book with rocket city rover again.

What an absolute blast. Great stories, a few stops for drinkies. Taking a corner on just about 2 wheels I yelled 'weeeeeee' all the way down the hill. A great way to spend a fun evening downtown. Hosts are super knowledgeable about history of the area.
Southern B — Google review
Scam! Wish I could share about an actual experience on the rover; however, our group has yet to successfully have a group outing with this business. We scheduled last year for some friends' birthdays and received word one day before our event that the rover was missing a part and would be down for maintenance, not ready for our scheduled date. We were refunded. Tried again a year later and received the exact same message. A bit suspect. On the slightly plus side, this message was received two whole days before the event. But we have yet to receive a refund.
Stacey R — Google review
There’s something shady going on with this business. We’ve had our event cancelled and money refunded two years in a row citing the same excuses. I suspect they take the money knowing full well they won’t be able to deliver. Such an inconvenience considering 13 people have gone out of their way to make themselves available for an event weeks in advance.
Nina M — Google review
This was definitely a scam and not something I would recommend to anyone. The website advertises fun rides around town with a good party atmosphere. They also advertised comfortable seating and trip. What we instead got was a ton of strip/sexual dancing that was not at all welcome or appreciated, over the top inappropriate music, and a very rickety rover that looks as though it would fall apart at any moment. I was also shocked that for $30 dollars, there were not any drinks included. My biggest issue though was if your going to have essentially a male stripper that should be on your website, especially if he is going to go put himself on women who are clearly trying to have nothing to do with him. I will definitely not be coming back and will tell others to make sure they know what they are signing up for!

We had SO much fun on the Rocket City Rover! Our hostesses were wonderful and knew all of the best pubs to go to. They were very accommodating to all of our needs and made sure we had a great time! I would definitely recommend them for a great time and we can’t wait to go back!

Located in Huntsville, Alabama, it has gained recognition as the best steakhouse in the state by Business Insider. The restaurant's dedication to providing outstanding culinary journeys has led to the opening of additional locations in Tennessee and Florida.
This place was outstanding from the moment we entered the restaurant. The staff is there to exceed your expectations. They have an abundance of staff to meet your every need from service to food. Our food was great and was better than expected even from the high scored reviews. Our food was so good we came back later in the day to get to go dessert.

Our absolute favorite date night location, but we also absolutely love their lunch menu too! Food is always on point. Service is friendly and attentive! I do recommend getting a reservation as this place gets busy!!! The atmosphere is my favorite because even as busy as it can get the way the tables are placed you still feel secluded. I’ve never had a bad meal here!

My husband and I ate here for our anniversary. The staff were incredibly nice and inviting. We received a card wishing us a happy anniversary. It was precious and unexpected! We ordered the lobster dip as an appetizer- it was delicious. Our salads were delicious as well. My husband ordered the New York strip & asparagus for his meal. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The grits were slightly undercooked. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Service was prompt and courteous. We requested a table switch and we accommodated right away. We requested the switch because it was a special occasion. The menu was extensive with mini great choices. We had an appetizer, make the appetizers, and our entrées. I have the lobster dip and my wife had the green tomatoes. Both were tasty. My wife had a grouper and I had the six cents fillet with Oscar topping her meal was great. I enjoyed mine as well, though I would have preferred my steak to be a little more done. It wasn’t much of an issue so I never brought it up to the server. We have strawberry shortcake for dessert, and that was magnificent.

Last night we had our date night there. We had 6 o’clock reservations, but weren’t seated until about 20 minutes later. Our server was Lyric, who did a great job. We started with their Voodoo shrimp. It was crispy and had just the right amount of dressing. It was delicious! My wife had a house salad and I had a Caesar. Wife’s salad should have come with dressing on the side. She ate it anyways but it was a bit too much dressing on it. My Caesar was fresh and good. Their Caesar dressing is a little different, but good! My wife had a filet and I order prime rib. Her steak was tender, perfectly cooked and delicious. I had to send my prime rib back. It came out closer to rare than the medium I ordered. The substitution was made quickly and it turned out to be perfect! We thought about dessert, but already had quite a bit of leftovers. We had a great experience and will definitely return.

Everything was perfect! My wife is from Maryland and always skeptical about crab cakes anywhere else. Boy she was surprised and said it was the best she’s ever had. My prime rib was fantastic. Our server, Morgan, was attentive and timed everything perfectly. We also noticed there was great rapport among all staff. Thank you for a wonderful experience .

I recommend getting reservations for sure. Everything was amazing from the server to the food. Brought my grandma here to celebrate her birthday and we were welcomed with a card on the table dedicated to her on her special day. I ordered the ribeye with the scampi butter and shrimp. My sides included a caesar salad and the amazing asiago creamed spinach. Definitely will return when I visit the city again.

Whether you're craving a full southern breakfast plate or homemade favorites for lunch or dinner, this family-run business serves up generous portions of delicious made-from-scratch dishes.
Hard to believe I hadn’t been to this Huntsville landmark before this morning…Neeley and I had a few errands to run then the sky opened up…busy place but they really move folks through! Everyone was smiling and super friendly…we grabbed seats at the bar and our server took great care of us! The food is simple but the simplicity is what allows it to be damn near perfect! From the pancake appetizer to my Blue Plate Breakfast, everything was perfect. Grits were hot! Cheesy Hash was still piping hot down to the last bite. Look forward to going back to try lunch! Wish I could remember our servers name but she was a delight!

Nice Cafe. Food was ready fast and the server on spot. Here are a couple of pictures. We enjoyed our lunch and the people were quite friendly. I loved the old style belt driven wooden ceiling fans.

Wonderful food, fast service, nice portions at a reasonable price. Highly recommend this place. We had enough food for a second meal !

If you are looking for an old-style diner, look no further. We were seated fast, waited on fast and checked up on regularly. You can't ask for much more in service. Our server gave recommendations when asks and was nice as can be. We had the daily specials at lunch on a Wednesday. Everything was delicious. It came out fast. I've heard the breakfast is just as good, if not better.

The food was fine. I ordered the veggie plate. If I had known there was a vegetable of the day, and that it was okra, I would have ordered it. Service was ok when they finally figured out who would take the table. There was no communicating about specials and very little communication about where to pay, etc. Pretty non involved. I'll eat there again when I want southern food. It's good. Not stellar.

We both had the meat w/3 vegetables. Food was good and service was great! Definitely will go back. Parking is a bit tight.

9/27. Brought my daughter to have her first experience in this Huntsville staple. Food came pretty quick. I was expecting an all day breakfast menu but that's my fault for not doing better research. I ordered the Saturday entree. Honestly, my food was bland. I wasn't excited about it. My dtr had the catfish entree. She loved it. We were hungry so we ate up. Service was good. Experience was good. Cashier dampened experience by processing us on out the door with not even a single word...no how was everything, no enjoy your day, no y'all come back.

American restaurant
Fine dining restaurant
Cotton Row is a renowned dining establishment located in an elegant three-story brick building from 1821. The restaurant offers modern American cuisine in an intimate and rustic space adorned with rough-hewn wood and brick, exuding true Southern hospitality. Chef Marc Taft, with extensive experience in the hospitality industry, brings his wealth of knowledge to the restaurant consulting, development, and management company behind Cotton Row.
I did [picking cotton] from - until I was 18 years old, that is. Then I picked the guitar, and I've been picking it since. ~Johnny Cash As much as flavor, texture, and taste are important to the experience of dining, it is context that makes a meal truly memorable. And my first dining experience at Cotton Row was memorable. The context seems to be comfortable industrial chic with a dash of Deep South elegance. I suspect the Cotton Row name gives homage to the restaurant's southern setting and southern culinary influences, although I didn't find the restaurant’s menu to be overtly southern. The Black Bass Meunière was subtle and sophisticated (buttered sweet corn risotto, black truffles, parsley & fennel salad). The Hot Honey Okra King Salmon (southern slaw, fried pickle, warm bacon & potato salad, comeback sauce) was beautifully presented, sophisticated, and delicious. It's culinary excellence through thoughtfulness, delicacy, and creaativity. My only little suggestion would be that they revisit their approach to Affogato, but I am Affogato bougie being just back from three weeks in Italy and Affogato at Vivoli in Florence, Italy, not Florence, Alabama. Swing Low, Sweet Chariot…. It'll make you wanna slap your Mama!

Upscale restaurant in downtown. The portions are small. The risotto was undercooked but the foie gras was good.

Amazing experience! Loved my seat at the bar; listening to the local convo and enjoying the warm atmosphere of this beautifully remodeled old bank. The metal safe door still sits on one of the back restaurant walls. My bartender and server was attentive and steered me in the right direction… the short ribs! Scrumptious! Loved the cheese grits! Great wine selection and the pear dessert was the perfect ending to this charming dinner full of flavor and fun historical facts about this charming city.

My husband and I celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary at the Huntsville Botanical Garden and chose Cotton Row as our dinner destination. Most of the reviews seemed positive so maybe we just chose an off night, but from getting seated to trying to pay the check it all seemed like such a burden to the staff. We were seated outside relatively quickly, but after that we were forgotten. Tristan was a nice guy, but once another table broke some glass he was almost entirely absent. You cannot substitute all the vegetables so be aware. If you’d like scalloped potatoes instead of parsnips I have bad news. It’s not going to happen. They did agree to carrots instead of grits though. The bread came after we asked 3 times and we were midway through our meals. Our food was good, but cold and mine was missing the mushrooms. The highlight was the fries which were supposed to be a side, but we were charged for the appetizer, but they were tasty. No water refills were ever offered. We had to ask another waiter for salt and pepper. Overall it was just a really underwhelming experience for a restaurant and that advertises as fine dining. I mean no one even wished us a happy anniversary. I cannot say I recommend Cotton Row and I don’t think we’ll be back.
Tammy P — Google review
Good old fashioned. Scallops were great, but chowder was well below expectations (100% tomato base flavoring with what seemed like a bit of mini frozen shrimp added). Would recommend the Fried Green Tomatoes with Cajun Shrimp and from The Martin Bar + Bistro (sports bar, almost dive bar feel), as opposed to the chowder from Cotton. One night in HSV, but my tasting preferences were clear. When in an atmosphere such as Cotton, you expect (and are paying for) perfection, and it didn’t live up. The fried green tomatoes and Cajun shrimp on the other hand well exceeded expectations.
Doug G — Google review
I was really impressed with Cotton Row. A beautiful little restaurant in the heart of downtown Huntsville. The atmosphere and decor was very cozy. The bartender fixed one of the best drinks I’ve ever had in my life. The food was exceptional, and the service was outstanding. Pretty much can’t say any negatives about this place. If you’re in Huntsville, this is a definite go
Thomas P — Google review
I want to give 5 stars, but the surprise price of the entree vs. appetizer portion for scallops threw me for a loop. It was $22 for 2, but 3 was $44. I should have asked for the price difference, as I really originally wanted an appetizer.. but that's on me. YOLO 🤣🤣 And since I am being honest, I think it could have been cooked a tad bit longer, but that is just my personal preference. I ordered a mocktail mojito, which was slightly more bitter than I expected to be, I don't think the mint leaves were muddled, just tossed and mixed in. And I assumed the price would have been cheaper for no alcohol in it, I was wrong, but again, I didn't ask. My boyfriend ordered the NY strip w lobster Mac & cheese. We both agreed that the sear could have been better. It was still an enjoyable dish, overall, with brocolinni and lobster m&c. The parmesean truffle fries were also a tasty addition to the entrees. It was definelty enough for both of us. I ordered the short rib dish. I personally think it would have been better paired w the orzo that came w the scallop dish, as the grits seemed more like thick mashed potatoes. The portion was huge, as I went home w half the meat. Let me rave about the desserts, though!!!! My bf chose the chocolate crunch cake which is paired w toffee ice cream. He enjoyed every bite. I liked it too. However, the peanut butter and jelly Phyllo dessert genuinely made me so happy, that I almost teared up. Not only was its presentation beautiful, but the flavors and textures meshed so well, that every bite was just pure bliss to me. (I believe of all the places I've been and all the sweets/desserts that I've ordered, this particular dessert is my absolute favorite, and would come here just for it). The restaurant is located in a corner of a building and intersection. There was a vault door on the wall that added to the old school aesthetic. The decor in the bathroom even had old receipts from 1939 framed. It is a snug fit, and tables are a bit close to each other, we managed to get a larger table that seats up to 4, which was nice, but other couples had 2 seating tables that were just so close to eachother, that I thought some were double dating. If there is one loud person (which towards the end of our meal, one came up) you can hear he/she through the entire place. That kinda made for an unpleasant experience, but she wasn't rude or anything, just super loud. Nothing you can do about that, but it just emphasizes the already tight quarters. I do look forward to dining out on their patio in the fall when the temperatures are cooler. Last, but certainly not least, Jacob was a fantastic server! He was very attentive and very kind, especially w answering all the questions I had (even if I didn't ask the important questions regarding prices 🤣🤣)

Cotton Row has that perfect balance of Southern charm and modern twist. I tried their shrimp and grits, and it was creamy and flavorful without being heavy. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a nice buzz but nothing too loud. Staff was friendly and knew their menu well, which made picking easier

I snagged some awesome Fallout-themed magnets, and they did not disappoint! The designs are straight out of the wasteland—bright, detailed, and full of that classic retro-futuristic Fallout charm. They stick great on my fridge and look like little collectibles straight from Vault-Tec itself. Perfect!

This was my 2nd visit to this center for a concert. Parking was congested and unorganized. Venues were mediocre, seating is too small and very limited room to get to seats. Chair seating was not comfortable. Center was clean with the exception of ladies room, great entrance lighting. I was very disappointed with obscured vision within arena blocking the view of the performance and lighting was blurred as well. The blockage appeared to be some type of added lighting but very inconvenient. Venue stated better seating was sold out but during show there were plenty of empty seats so that was upsetting due to having to climb steep stairs in heels.
Ruby — Google review
It's great to have a venue like this. Love going to the hockey games. Facilities are clean. Parking can be a chore as swiping cards for parking fees severely slows the flow of traffic into the parking structure. Maybe a prepay option or going back to cash might help. Aside from parking my only other complaint is the limited selection and quality of food offerings. Chicken fingers, hot dogs, popcorn and a "southern BBQ" stand are your options (however it looks like they may be adding a Mexican food option?) Took my wife to the Rascal Flatts concert and felt a little let down when I realized that it was at Propst and not at The Orion ... which has far better food options.

Honestly one of my fav concert venues to go to. I live in town so its obviously close, but as Huntsville is on the rise we begin to see bigger and better Arena tours come to us. Haven't experienced the seats yet but I'll come back when I do. The pit experience is always good and security takes good care of the people in the front. I've seen three concerts here so far and all were handled well. VIP locations can seem confusing but really read your emails. The Mars Music Hall and Mark C. Smith Auditoriums are also great. The Mars Music hall is very intimate and small, generally all standing with a deck for seats and tables. The Mark C. Smith suffers from the fact that if someone stands up in a row in front of you, its a bit distracting. Seats were comfy though and getting in was easy. Parking all around is very good as well. The garage across the street is my go to.

Earth and Stone Wood Fired Pizza is a spacious pizzeria with a warehouse-like atmosphere, featuring wood-fired ovens that produce a diverse selection of delicious pies. The restaurant also offers outdoor patio seating for guests to enjoy their meals. Owned by Tina Ford and Stan Stinson, the establishment is part of their innovative culinary ventures in Huntsville, which include other concepts such as barbeque and a self-pour craft beverage space.
It’s attached to a brewery so drink options are amazing! But the staff was so laid back and mellow it made it feel like I was just hanging with people I know. This really is wood fired pizza and you can ask them to cook it a little longer to make it extra crispy if you like it like that. Super good pizza. It’s not a complex pizza just simple and straight to the point. Flavor was nice and the names are fun. Great for the whole family
Cultured P — Google review
Excellent pizza but the workers here are usually very rude, angry and disgruntled. There are nice workers here, don’t get me wrong, but I never know who will be making the pizzas. I never get red sauce so the cheese tends to be light. I always pay for extra cheese and every time they never add it! I always pay for extra basil and never do they do that either! For $28 a pizza, you better do what the customer is asking or else you will lose business. We would come here and get about 10 pizzas a month, and out of total frustration I altogether stopped coming here. Please improve on your service. The lady with reddish hair who makes the pizzas is an absolute pain in the butt and rude! Get rid of her. She gives bad service and does a lousy minimal job making pizzas! She is costing you business!!!

We were underwhelmed. After reading the reviews we expected great pizza, the crust was soggy. Staff were friendly and attentive, and our pizza was done in a timely manner. System for ordering was great and efficient, staff was knowledgeable and offered good suggestions.

Listen it’s rare I take the time to leave reviews on places but i was extremely disappointed by this place… they have pictures of slices online but you can only get them on Friday and Saturday nights apparently, which is kind of misleading and irritating in my opinion.. I’m from out of town so I was trying to stop somewhere fast and to find out somewhere I thought sold spices doesn’t, like I don’t have time to go somewhere else now. I will say they helped me out and gave me one from night before. Service was wonderful. But it was $14 for two slices with 2 toppings which is already insane pricing to me… then they came out burnt and absolutely no cheese on them… for $7 a slice. This is truly one of the worst slices I’ve ever had. Then it was an entire dollar for a tiny cup of ranch on top of it. After paying essentially $20 for two mediocre slices of pizza after tip yall need to charge a whole dollar for ranch? Like just wayyy over priced and not good at all. If I didn’t feel bad for the staff I would go up and ask for a refund, that’s how crappy this pizza is. Like it’s edible. That’s all. I would not come here for food. Brewery is cool but eat somewhere else 😅 maybe whole pizzas are better. I wouldn’t chance it at this price point.

Absolutely Outstanding! Earth and Stone Brick Oven Pizza in Huntsville is hands-down one of the best pizza spots in town! We ordered the Porkalicious, The Patriarch, The Buffalo Chicken, and The Clyde pizzas — all were incredible. The crust had that perfect wood-fired crisp, and every bite was full of bold, smoky flavor. To top it off, the house-made ice cream was phenomenal — the Strawberry Cheesecake, Rocky Road, and Bourbon Butter Pecan were rich, creamy, and unforgettable. Great service, cozy atmosphere, and unbeatable flavor. Highly recommend for anyone who loves real, handcrafted pizza and local charm! 🍕🍨🔥

Solid little spot for a quick yummy lunch. We had the lunch special with a patriarch pizza (gluten free crust) and two salads. We also had a side of meatballs. Everything was pretty good. The toppings were proportionate for the pizza. The gluten free crust came crunchy which was a plus but was also really chewy in texture. If you eat GF then you know that can’t be helped sometimes (it’s the flour). The meatballs were pretty tasty as well. The atmosphere and the service were great! Overall I’d give them a thumbs up. 👍🏽

EarlyWorks Children's Museum in Huntsville, Alabama is a hands-on history museum designed for kids aged 2 to 10. The museum offers interactive exhibits and activities that allow children to learn about Alabama history, Native American culture, and African American heritage.
Great discovery in Huntsville! My kids spent four fun filled hours enjoying the visiting (and super cool) Paw Patrol exhibit, the pioneer town with all kinds of buildings and a boat and props for pretend play. Learning to milk a cow do guided car repairs, tinker with guided breakout sessions or enjoying the dedicated toddler space with water table and clubhouse, farming and grocery shopping are options to explore during your visit.
Amy P — Google review
It was okay. All of the staff were amazing amd so friendly with our field trip kids. The kids loved it and had so much fun but to me it was a little overpriced for what it is. There were a couple of the play areas shut down the day we went that we wished we could've enjoyed. But to me it was just okay. They had a water Lego table, several areas for the kids to build using different types of items such as foam Legos, wooden slats, gear tables and things of that nature but our 8 year old wasn't at all interested in any of that. They had a milk the cow station as well as a play veterinarian setup which was probably our daughter's favorite thing to do of the day. Her other favorite was the play kicthen/dining area. Other than that there was a pirate ship where they could raise the flag, a couple of smell this and guess what's inside and feel this to guess what's inside but I wasn't impressed. They had a talking tree which was creepy to my 8 year old. Other than that it was just wall around and look at stuff. It might be worth it if it were a rainy day and you just really wanted to get the kids out of the house, but to me I'd rather spend my money elsewhere doing something my little would find more entertaining but it wasn't bad, I just wouldn't rave over it. But the staff were phenomenal!!!

My grandkids all love this place. Great indoor place to spend a few hours letting your kids learn new things while they explore and play. They really liked the Tinker Lab and doing experiments led by the science instructor. There was a special limited appearance PAW Patrol: Adventure Play exhibit that enjoyed seeing, too.

This is one of the best things to do with kids under age 10. There are plenty of things to do once your kid is big enough to walk, but also very engaging things for your bigger kids. Tons of opportunities to play pretend, learn, and run around. We bought the year pass.

Kimberly ( — Google review
It was awesome, the kids loved it! It was $50 for three adults and 2 kids, not bad with so much to do and it's on the inside.

Expensive letdown. We took our 3 1/2 year old who is easily entertained. The main exterior areas of the activity centers are impressively built, but the activities inside are sub-par at best. We spent 45 minutes and $30 wandering around hoping something exciting would be around the corner, but nothing. The areas seemed unkept, and half-heartedly put together. My child usually pitches a fit when it’s time to leave anywhere, but he happily left when we said it was time to go.. less than an hour after arriving. Truly do not understand how anyone could go more than once.

The Huntsville Depot Museum is a must-visit for those intrigued by the region's railroad heritage. Housed in a historic three-story brick building dating back to 1860, it was originally a crucial hub for the Memphis & Charleston Railroad. Today, this former railway station has been transformed into a captivating museum, featuring well-preserved artifacts such as vintage locomotives and railcars. Visitors can explore interactive exhibits that vividly portray the evolution of rail transportation in Alabama.
The interior was closed on the Saturday we were in town. I don't know if it is from covid, not open on weekends, or what... the outside displays are interesting to look at. I would highly recommend visiting the war memorial next door while there.

We were visiting and saw this driving by and decided to stop. The museum was closed so didn’t get to see the interiors but the kids didn’t care. They got to play with the trains outside. Not a large place but it’s exciting enough for kids that love trains. Plenty of parking.

This was a very interesting & educational stop during our family vacation. We enjoyed looking at the trains & learning their history. Not to mention, this was one of our Lucky Duck scavenger hunt spots! I highly recommend stopping by the welcome center (which is just before the Depot Museum) & gathering information about local activities, sights, attractions, entertainment, etc. The scavenger hunt is what ultimately led us here!

It does not seem like this place was still in operation (shop within the premise was closed). It was an open space (gate was open) and people could roaming around. There are a few trains in display. But other than that, not much to see. The area does not seem well maintained. Nice cool place to check out and spend a little time walking around.

I stayed here for one night and everyone was very friendly. I needed to do a pretty late check in, and the camp host was very accommodating. When I got there the security truck helped me find my spot. Overall felt like a safe and chill camp ground.

Only a few sites have 50 amp electricity. Most have 30 amp. Very shaded no satellite reception. But there's a lot of local stations. Beautiful boat docks and put ins. It's a Campground. Not a hotel

I can't tell you about any more than I experienced. We were there for Ruck up 22. It is a event that is for all people especially veterans to bring attention to the average daily suicides of military members, which is 22 per day. Think about that! If The event is not just in Huntsville it's in other places as well. We, I'm included this time, get together at a mutually beneficial place like Diddo landing and you can either walk or run 22 miles with a 22 lb ruck sack and or contribute $22 or do like I'm going to do is walk 1 mi a day for 22 days. I'm just going to walk cuz I can't run that far, at 72. I didn't know about this event until I joined the VFW post that I belong to, Post 5162. It is the VFW, the American Legion, and other veteran's organizations, Veterans and civilians supporters. And it's not just for veterans themselves, it's also for the families. It's the families that serve as well, when their family members are away or in the military and not at home. It doesn't matter whether it's wartime or peacetime. There's always that chance that that veteran will never come home. You can get harmed, you can get killed, through an accident, intentional attack like we seen at some of our bases and some of our Forts and some of our military installations. Or like the Pentagon attack on 911. We, military and our families, are always at risk. All we do for Ruck up 22 is try to bring attention to the seriousness of our situations as active duty and as retired, the Guard, or the Reserve, whatever the situation either a member or family member. So please when you get a chance don't just thank someone for their service think about what the families that go through as well. I realize this is not really supposed to be said during a survey for a particular place. But since it was it started at Ditto Landing I felt the need to say this. They were so kind to let the sponsors host this and we didn't interfere with anyone else. But quite a few people showed up and it was very nice. It is a beautiful, beautiful place. I discovered new fishing holes or fishing places, I didn't know about. I didn't have time to explore but I'm going to do that again, very soon. So I'll make another review later on after I find some new places to stay and or fish. Everyone it is very nice place to visit. A beautiful place to explore and please go. So, if you see an old guy with a goatee, a cane, two rods and reels paddling around, that's me. But don't tell my wife!! 😅🤣😂. I'm supposed to be doing something official. Ot is a truly beautiful place. Running and biking tracks, I saw a golf course, nice dock areas and more amenities. Please visit and post. (Tell me about your secret fishing holes! I promise, I won't say a thing)!

In making my slip reservations weeks in advance, I learned that this is a woman-owned business. I already had high expectations for a woman to be so successful in what I perceive as a male-dominated business. Those expectations were met. We are visiting the marina as transients. It is in a gorgeous setting along the Tennessee River. Easy to get into with deep water, the fuel dock was easy to find. They had 89 octane, ethanol-free. Several pumps, actually. Saturday’s harbor master was very friendly and helpful. Sadly, I did not get to meet the owner. I explained that this was our last stop of a several week trip and that a boat hauler would be meeting us here in a day or two. So she put us in a transient slip next to the ramp to make haunt-out a tad easier. She even showed us the slip first. It is either brand new or very well maintained. The surrounding rubber fender strip was in great shape. Cleats were plentiful. The ships store was low on some stock being late October, the end of their season. There is not a restaurant on site. While there, my boat hauler called and said he would not be there before my scheduled fly out. The electric switch controlling his trailer brakes had failed enroute and he was waiting on the part. I explained this to the marina and they said, no problem, we’ll keep an eye on your boat until he gets here. I highly recommend this stop along the Tennessee River as long as you’ve got food on the boat, can use Uber Eats, or will just stay at a local hotel.

Clean and safe park. Appericated the security guard checking in at our event and at the grounds. Enjoyed the trail and the campgrounds. Beautiful time of the year!

Checked in at 1:45pm went to use ladies facilities. This is what I found. Disgusting! Called marina asked when gets cleaned she had no response. After I told her issues sent someone out. We will see how our stay goes. So we checked in on Tuesday..... Tuesday evening this tree branch fell thankfully didn't hit anything, still laying there today Thursday July 17,2025. When I go to shower the soap and loose paper is still laying in shower from 1st photos I took on Tuesday. Today after being gone we come back to campground and we have no water service...NO ONE EVEN BOTHERED TO TELL US WE ARE WITHOUT WATER DUE TO WATERLINE BREAK. Also there septic dump station is down and has been since we got here. This is a absolute awful place to be.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Huntsville, The Poppy and Parliament stands out as a delightful British-themed pub that offers an authentic taste of England. This charming establishment combines a gourmet store and butcher shop, complete with a classic red phone box outside, making it an inviting spot for both locals and visitors. The menu features upscale English and Irish dishes like Fish and Chips, Bangers and Mash, and Toad in the Hole—perfect for those craving traditional fare.
This was a fun place to eat. Food was more European than British but tasty nonetheless. Shepherd’s pie was great with a carrot mash. Octopus has a good Mediterranean taste to it and the fish and chip was very British. We ordered the crab cake and onion soup as starters and both were tasty. We finished wit$ a sticky toffee pudding that makes my daughter remember Gordon Ramsey.
KC L — Google review
The food was fantastic when we finally received it. The fish and chips were very good. The crab cakes were very flavorful and could be a meal all in themselves. The bangers and mash are mediocre at best. Old fashions were made correctly, which is rare around Huntsville. All in all, the service was horrid. We were there for an hour and a half and received our food right when we had to leave. So we had to eat it later. The food however was fantastic. We will go back and hope to enjoy the establishment.

I highly recommend checking out the Poppy and Parliament. We started out dinner out with cocktails which were very good and in my opinion fairly priced. For our entrees I got the Octopus and my girlfriend got the Sheppard's pie. Additionally the Sheppard's pie came with a carrot mash. Both were great but we both had a preference to the pie and mash. Service was great and our server Tucker was both kind and attentive.

My wife and I went here not too long ago and we haven’t stopped talking about how good it was! Tucker our waiter knew the menu inside and out. He gave us great suggestions on food and drinks. Everything we got was top-notch delicious. We started out with the Crab cakes and the Potato Gnocchi dish then shared the Shepherds Pie and had 2 more meals after that from what we took home. Nonetheless a great place to grab a bite and drinks. Plus the patio is dog friendly! Thank you Tucker for the great experience.

Super cool atmosphere for a restaurant and pub. The food was fantastic by the way! We both tried things we have never had before and man were they both delicious! The beer was good and the staff was super friendly. We can’t wait to go back.

Tonight's food adventure led me here! Atmosphere was very peaceful and busy all in one. Had French Onions soup good but a little extra flavor desired for me...but...redemption came with the crab cakes! The presentation and all of the flavors was unbelieveable to me for the price point! Something expected in a Michelin restaurant almost! Excelllent Expresso Martini and excellent excellent service..

Don’t get fooled into just thinking it’s London pub fare. We started with the roast beef bone marrow and then shared the pig bone-in steak and the veal short loin. Both were fantastic! I would drive back from Tuscaloosa for that meal again. I’ve heard the steaks are even better. Can’t wait to try them.

A piece of London in Huntsville!! Family and I recently had lunch. Shepherd's Pie and Fish & Chips were both amazing. The Huntsville Madison County Veterans Memorial is a solemn and educational place dedicated to honoring the courage, sacrifice, and duty of all veterans. It offers visitors the opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by veterans, pay tribute to those who have served, and gain insight into the country's military history. The museum features over 30 historical vehicles and various artifacts that highlight the accomplishments of men and women in the American military, with a focus on World War I and other conflicts.
Great stop to appreciate the past and present sacrifices made by those who have stood in defense of this amazing country. Fountains, statues, flags, displays, and lots of appreciation. May want to go when the sun is up, it would be cool at night but there were a few homeless camps around.

The ABSOLUTE BEST Veterans memorial I've have ever seen before. This was an amazing stop on my travels through Alabama. The amount of water and the waterfall fountain was amazing and very relaxing. Enjoyed reading everything that was documented as well. The bronze castings were spot on. Something of this size and magnitude really gives credit where credit is due.

This is a very educational memorial with a nice paved walk and water features honoring everyone who has served. The walk itself is quite short, but if you stop to read all the signs and plaques, you can be there quite a while.

We had been wanting to stop at this place and visit for awhile now. We never see any cars here, so we weren’t expecting much. We quickly found that this place is amazing. We didn’t expect to be so big, but the memorial just kept going and going. It eventually leads to the Huntsville Depot Museum, if you want to check out some old train cars and steam engines or if you want to keep walking it leads to the Gateway Greenway walk path. This is one of the best memorials I have seen outside of DC. I highly recommend you visit. *I threw in a couple pictures from the Huntsville Depot Museum that’s located at the end of the memorial.

The Huntsville/Madison County Veterans Memorial is a beautiful space dedicated to ALL veterans. It is sacred ground where all are brothers and sisters equally. All that come here honor our vets simply by being present and noting the sacrifice of many and the patriotism of all. I see it as the official entry to the downtown area. At first glance, you see the free parking directly in front of the Memorial, but don't be fooled, as it is a meandering trail that carries you deeper into a treed spaces of history.

My kids love to come here for Saturday 11am roller skating lessons for only $5 that includes skate and skate aid rental plus unlimited skating afterwards. My son had a birthday party here yesterday (as well as last year) and both times had a great time. Our host Brittany both years went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of! We got a free upgrade to do laser tag since the rock climbing wall was out of commission that day. Highly recommend for birthday parties, make sure you request Brittany for the best experience! Thank you! ❤️

I have nothing but positive remarks about Insanity. We hosted a birthday celebration for my nephew at this venue, and Brittney truly exceeded our expectations. She was dedicated to ensuring we had all the necessary arrangements and made the event unforgettable. From start to finish, her assistance was invaluable. If you are thinking about making a reservation with them, I highly recommend you go ahead.

Great place to play mini golf! They also have arcade games, a skate park and roller rink, batting cage, arcade games, and laser tag. Reasonable prices and we were all impressed by how clean and well taken care of the mini golf course is. We found playing the course to be extremely fun and not too challenging with gentle slopes and sand & water elements, just like a mini version of a regular golf course. You have the option of playing a 9, 18, or 27 hole course. My family loved hanging out here and we’ll definitely be back!
Tiffany — Google review
This place seemed awesome and extremely reasonably price. We went for a date night to play mini golf 2 weeks ago and for the skate park this week. It wasn't the most challenging mini golf course we've played or the coolest. But it was the cleanest and the most beautiful course we've ever played. It's not like most mini golf courses. No sharp corners or straight walls really. It has a flow to it. the slopes are amazing no sharp edges or hard corners on the surface. It's much like a real golf green. The turf is a beautiful blue and is extremely clean and in great condition. We played 27 holes. They have a 9 hole course and an 18 hole course so if you pay for 27 holes you play both courses. What was really impressive is the skate park. It's only $8 to go there all day. It was pretty big and in amazing condition. Definitely a great place to skate, bike, or rollerblade. The roller rink has a brand new floor and they have laser tag and an arcade. They also have a batting cage with multiple speeds for pitching and baseball and softball. We didn't check out laser tag room yet so we will be back but just going to do mini golf I was impressed at how immaculate everything was.

The preserve is a haven for nature enthusiasts, providing opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, birding, and nature photography in a serene environment away from the city.
We love the playground and the paved trail to bike and walk on. There is a kayak take out that works great and the trail is nice and quiet following the river. Bring bus spray in the summer with the proximity to water.

Very relaxed city park with a ton of greenery and places to hammock next to the river. There are a few short easy trails that circle the preserve and a long paved walking trail for runners. The Hays Nature Preserve 1.8 mile trail was partly flooded when I went in March blocking off the southwest portion of the trail. There were a ton of fishers using the lake. Pretty peaceful walk at sunset and it wasn’t too crowded. A great place to visit for a brisk outside walk to get some exercise and fresh air.

This was my first time at Hays after living within 15 minutes for the past 2 years. The playground is somewhere I would have loved to hang out when I was younger. They even have a little library! Walked on a few trails and they were in good shape other than a tree down. There were plenty of people fishing and trail running. The mosquitoes weren't bad because of the cool weather and the fall colors are just starting to come in! I can't wait for my little one to get a little older so we can come all the time!

We meet the family with all the grandkids at Hays after church on Sundays. Sometimes we hike, other times lunch, and still other times we meet in the play area and let the kids roam around. The park, the lake, and every aspect of the Preserve is beautiful. There is always many people but the area is so large that it isn't crowded and this is a lot of parking. It would also be a wonderful place to take small cooler with snacks and soft drinks and a good book. There are many tables and shade trees.

Had a blast at The North Alabama Railroad Museum with my daughter’s 1st grade class field trip! The train ride was the perfect length for littles; long enough to feel like it was worth it, short enough the kiddos don’t get restless. The exhibits were well done, informative and interesting. We learned all about mail delivery by rail! Would recommend a little family day trip. So fun!

What an awesome place for a romantic date night or a place to bring friends for a great vibe! The dreamy outdoor lights and plants drew us in. Our server Shaun was incredible and had a cheery personality. We both agreed that we had the best buffalo wings of our lives and we cannot wait to try the other flavors!! The menu did not lie- the wings had a golden crisp. The chicken was juicy and the wings were big and fresh! The ranch was delicious as well. Our cheesecake looks great as you can see here but was outrageously overpriced at $18 a slice and was overcooked and under-sweetened. But the dessert was our only complaint. We will definitely be back again!!

Nice brewery taproom downtown in a restored old building. Plenty of tables upstairs and downstairs with a big bar opposite the brewing area (Chandler Ford Brewing). The beer is fresh and tasty, and they have some guest taps on hand to supplement the somewhat limited brewery taps. The service is top-notch, very attentive from the guy at the door to the bartenders. Parking in the garage next door is free on the weekends, otherwise you’ll need to find street parking.

Originally we weren’t going to go here but the place we wanted to go to was closed. I’m glad though. The food here was fantastic! The soda was crisp and refreshing. I got shrimp and grits for the very first time (the waiter recommended it as his favorite) I was not disappointed. The flavor was incredible. Perfect amount of seasoning and Cajun flavor. Shrimp was perfect and the peppers served with it were delicious too. If you’ve never had shrimp and grits. This is the place to try it. We will definitely be back. My wife got a onion rings with her meal. They are battered and were very good. The horseradish sauce they come with is really good too. The right amount of flavor and kick pairs well with the savory onion rings.

Service was slow even though it was dead so that was disappointing. I loved my food but my husband didn’t enjoy his. The bangers and mash were unusual because the potatoes were super tangy (probably made with buttermilk). Their menu is trying really hard to be unique and different which I enjoyed but it doesn’t always hit the mark for everyone’s palette.

Yall. The name of this establishment is a true representation of the experience we had. It's the perfect brunch spot, we had an excellent experience and never even knew it existed. Our waiter Heather was very attentive and the food/atmosphere/mimosas were AWESOME Run to this place and don't go anywhere else! Pictured below are goat cheese and jalapeño cheddar balls, country fried steak with jalapeño cheddar scone and Applewood smoke bacon, biscuits and gravy sided with pork sausage and fried potatoes. And pineapple mimosa. All under 60 bucks including tip. We also got orange mimosas tis why it was soo much.

Nice place. Good experience, chill atmosphere. If there is every a reuben on the menu, I get the reuben. I loved the way the meat was cut into small pieces. It was very tender. It was good, but not the best one I've ever had. I wish the sauerkraut had more of a punch to it the sauce a little more flavorful. I am not typically one to get onion rings, but these were soo good! Also, I judge restaurants on how good the Coca-Cola is and it was good here!

We had a great time here. Service was slow, but our server was fun and had a lot of people to keep up with. Dollar mimosa's we're on point. Mushroom, onions and black bean omlette was super-sized, and full of goodness. Please like this post

Known for its extensive wine list, creative mixology, and excellent beer collection, SiP caters to both connoisseurs and casual drinkers.
Food meaning quality of cocktails. I haven’t ordered food here. Great place to go with friends or a date to have conversation in a relaxed more upscale/ sophisticated atmosphere. No tv’s crowding the walls affords the simple pleasures like connecting & conversations. Been here about 6 times. Excellent selection of alcohol. Experienced & professional bartenders.
C N — Google review
I had a great experience at this bar and cigar lounge. The smoking section is separate, which makes it comfortable for everyone. I did not have food. The humidor is on the smaller side, but it had a nice variety to choose from. I came specifically to enjoy a cigar and wasn’t disappointed. The atmosphere was chill and relaxing. The bartenders really know their stuff—my drink was mixed perfectly and absolutely delicious. A solid spot to unwind with a good cigar and a quality drink. I’ll definitely be back.
Ms. K — Google review
Got my first cigar. It was nice but recommended it based on its mildness for a beginner. I can't judge that properly. The atmosphere was great. Drinks were expensive, but I expected that for the type of place it is. Everyone was dressed nicely, but there was no dress code. You can take a date and have a nice evening or meet with friends and actually hear each other talk.
Joshua S — Google review
Come here a lot when I come to town and for a long time it was 5/5 incredible place. Now service seems iffy at times. Last time we were there, we were with a group of 6. 3 of us got cigars, while the other 3 ordered drinks. The happy hour on the website says 4 to 8 pm. At 7 PM a bartender took 3 drinks and as our other friend to order the other 3 on happy hour , the bartender kinda ignored and then said happy hour is over. When we brought it up that HH ends at 8 according to their website she said they haven’t updated the website in 3 years as it’s managed by a 3rd party. So at 7 they refused 3 more drinks on happy hour. Lastly, they charge $2 for matches .. at a cigar bar. I go to a lot of lounges across the US , and the lounge usually has liters or matches for people to be able to actually light the cigar they purchase from said lounge. Anyway , bad service the Norm ? Hopefully not. But that coupled with charging for matches left a bad taste in my mouth. Hopefully things are better next time.
Blake M — Google review
Decent sized humidor with a nice variety of quality cigars available. Well stocked bar with plenty of quality spirits available, from name brand to small batch. Weather neat, on the rocks, or in one of their unique takes on classic cocktails, you won't be disappointed. Paired with a good cigar... even better. ; )
A D — Google review
Wonderful selection of cigars and cocktails and a fabulous atmosphere. My husband and I came here two nights in a row and had the sip old fashioned, chocolate martini, bees knees, and the lavender martini- all were phenomenal! The bartenders are amazing. I would definitely recommend stopping by!
Cheyenne B — Google review
Wow! Love the amazing professional service here. Great Whiskey collection, amazing cocktails. Atmosphere is always great, sitting inside or out.
Gil E — Google review
Fantastic place to relax with a partner or group of friends! So many options for cigars and whiskey. Bartenders are professional and kind. We sat outside to get a huge breeze but the inside is glamorous. We loved every minute we were there and will definitely be back!

Chocolate shop
Pizzelle's Confections is a must-visit spot in the area, offering beautifully crafted small-batch chocolates and decadent treats. The shop, located in Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment, is known for its passion fruit marshmallows and small chocolate truffles that are like works of art. Visitors can indulge in a variety of goodies to take home or savor a luxurious hot cocoa during the winter months. The cozy atmosphere adds to the charm of this confectionery destination.
What an adorable place to enjoy the most flavor-FULL confections in Huntsville if not the world?!!! There are no words to describe the burst of culinary extravagance that plays upon the tongue. Y'all got to give them a whirl. It's true that they are a bit expensive but it is all worth it... And give them 5 stars plus a like on my review to help me. Thank you and enjoy🥰
James N — Google review
The absolute best espresso martini you will ever have. A Huntsville staple with national recognition, Pizzelle’s is a must see for both locals and tourists. Handcrafted chocolate and cocktails, something here for everybody. Conveniently in the campus 805 area. Down the street from Stocehouse. Not far from I-565 and the parkway.
Andrew R — Google review
It was my first time here today and it was completely worth it. All the raving reviews are correct. Each confection is incredible. We did a tour and sampled their homemade marshmallow fluff and European buttercream. This place will knock your socks off. And the staff is exceptionally nice. When you see the work they put into their handmade chocolates and cakes… just trust me… you’ll understand everything about the place. Go get you a few chocolates, a little cake, a s’more. I brought home a bag of them.
Sheila J — Google review
Pizzelles is chocolate like you've never tasted before. Each piece is a beautifully crafted work of art with bold, unexpected flavors that surprise and delight. These aren't your typical chocolates—they're one-of-a-kind creations made with care, curiosity, and serious skill. If you're looking for something truly unique, Pizzelles delivers.
Kaitlynne H — Google review
Whether you’re looking for high end, handcrafted chocolates that you can’t find anywhere else, with decadent and creative fillings to give as a gift or looking for an indulgent treat for yourself, this is the place for you. The sisters who own this shop have a passion for chocolate that shows in their creations. From their individual chocolate masterpieces to their luxurious hot chocolate, every single item here is utterly masterful and an absolute delight. I’ve been going to Pizzelles Chocolates for 11 years now and in all that time not only have I never seen the quality ever decrease but I continue to be amazed by the quality, flavor and creativity of their amazing creations. My personal favourites are the hot chocolate with lavender marshmallows, the seventh street truffle and their bourbon caramels, but I highly recommend trying absolutely everything to try to find your own favourite! This shop is my absolutely favourite place in Huntsville and I recommend it to absolutely everyone. I’m constantly amazed when I mention it to people and they haven’t heard of it! It’s Huntsville’s best kept secret that needs to get out!
Jennifer D — Google review
This place is amazing!! The atmosphere, the service, the chocolate❤️. I got the Day-o which was their tribute to Beetlejuice. It was so good. Yes, the price is a little high BUT if you are familiar with high quality chocolates AND you can appreciate the expertise it takes to not only create these confection but the exquisite decorations on them, it is worth every penny. All of the chocolates are shiny (means they know how to properly temper chocolate) and the attention to detail is top notch.
Adena F — Google review
Apparently this place is rated the #1 chocolate shop in the US according to one news article. Of course we had to try a few pieces of chocolate from here. The chocolate is an art here. The flavors are super unique and something you can’t find in many other shops. The intriguing colors, textures and designs make eating them feel incredibly wrong. However what they don’t mention in the article is the price of their chocolates. We spent $15 for 4 beautiful, tiny, chocolate art pieces. My personal favorite was the steel magnolia and the goodbye earl. Delicious high quality chocolates at a steep price. You’re buying edible art.
Aliza B — Google review
If you are a connoisseur of fine candy then this is the place. It's not just the extraordinary flavor of these chocolates, it's also the designs and decorations on each piece. You almost don't want to eat it because they are so attractively done, but of course you will.

Downtown Huntsville, Inc. is a vibrant hub of cultural diversity and history, offering an array of shops and dining options. Visitors can immerse themselves in cultural performances at the Von Braun Center, explore hands-on history at the Earlyworks Children's Museum, and enjoy the interactive fountain at Bicentennial Park. The area also boasts the Historic Huntsville Depot and the Huntsville Museum of Art with its captivating gallery displays.
Beautiful, safe, and well kept area! There were a lot of creative artwork and family friendly events downtown! I truly hope the rest of Alabama follows suit in beautifying their cities the way Huntsville has! I love that they kept the historic district maintained and instead of letting the buildings go abandoned or demolished, they restored it into beautiful houses with blooming gardens!

A clean and well organized part of town. Not a lot going on though. But then not a whole lot going on in the whole town of Huntsville anyway

Visited the resale shops on the square. One was for Meals on Wheels. Very nicely arranged and fairly priced. I tell ya "ITS THE HUNT" and Dopamine fix!!!

Downtown Huntsville is so beautiful. I loved it. Evening walk in the downtown and big spring park area was amazing. The town is pretty clean and quiet. There wasn't much going on at that time, but my overall experience exploring downtown was great. I highly recommend everyone to get this unique experience of Huntsville downtown.

Video arcade
Ronnie Raygun's Pinball Arcade is a must-visit spot at Campus No. 805 in Huntsville. Housed in a former middle school, this entertainment hub offers an array of activities including axe throwing and ballroom dance classes. The arcade boasts a diverse collection of well-maintained pinball machines, some with a vintage aesthetic. Visitors can expect an enjoyable experience with games set at lower skill levels and regular maintenance ensuring they are in great working order.
An absolute MUST visit! Bring lots of quarters because there's a machine for everyone's taste. There's a tremendous variety, and the machines are well-maintained. Visit Straight to Ale for some great food while you're there. It's in the basement of Campus 805. So if you have trouble finding it, you can enter through the main entrance of 805 with the covered drive-through. Go in and take a right, and you'll find it right past the restrooms across from Lips Lounge. Alternatively, you can enter through Straight to Ale. Walk through their dining area, up the hallway, and it will be on the right at the bottom of the stairs. You'll recognize it by the arcade machines at the bottom.
Josh D — Google review
Some machines are unserviced and others are really up to par. The place feels so humble that it's almost like your own basement. It can get crowded and that can be overwhelming. But if you're looking for quick enjoyment for a low price and enjoy pinball, this is the spot in Huntsville. I wish they had more machines and got rid of the pool tables. But that's just an opinion.
William D — Google review
Finally, a real pinball location with some great up to date games. This place is part of an elementary school that has since been turned into a brewery/restaurant, a separate bar, an axe throwing room, and some community performance rooms/stages. Visit it if you can. Pretty well maintained games, couple gargepus Valley tables that have a vintage look to them. Had a blast playing here, and I will visit this place again any time I am in Huntsville!!
Jeremiah M — Google review
100/10 this place was exactly what the old school pinball halls I remember as a kid. Plus it's in the middle of a school. What more do you want?
ROTN R — Google review
Great little pinball room attached to a brewery/distillery. Mostly new sterns, all well maintained. $2/3 games, low replay scores.
David C — Google review
Machines are in solid working order. Great lineup of games. Prices are more than fair.
Rocky M — Google review
Great selection of machines and well maintained. Kind of hard to find but the converted school is a very cool space.
Mark B — Google review
Pinball machines were in great working order. A few needing repair were marked out of order, but way more to choose from to care about a few. No one else but us, we had the whole collection to choose from. Elevations seemed about right; no crazy steep sloped machines. And, they seemed to be set on lower skill level so that they would regularly give you another ball if you lost it in short order. Had a great time.
