The Gold Coast Aquatic Centre in Southport is a stunning facility that hosted the Commonwealth Games water activities. It features sleek architecture and a training room with foam-filled pits for divers to practice. The center offers multiple outdoor pools with different speed lanes, including a wheelchair ramp, as well as an indoor learn-to-swim pool. Visitors can also find essential swimming gear and snacks at the small shop by reception.
Great pool areas. Lots of choices. The gym is spacious and has a comprehensive amount of kit. Nice experience. Special thanks to gym Kate and Phillip

Amazing facility with 2 50m pools, a 25m pool and a diving pool approximately 35m. Hard not to be able to find your own lane regardless of the time. However if you want to swim in the 50m pool, ideally come between 9-3pm as there are many junior squads training before and after. Open to public, all in about $7.25 per entry.

Fantastic Instructors and Friendly Reception! The team is truly great, offering excellent support from the LTS program right through to the front desk. My only critique is the need for more shade coverage over the outdoor pools and extending the operating hours, especially on weekends.

This is such a great pool! One of the best I've ever been to when it comes facility, cleanness and atmosphere. I was amazed!

Awesome place. Shoutout to randy , the best swimming teacher. Plus I also love your music which is what helps me swim. Sometimes though it's not always newer songs. From kai aged 11

It's been a great opportunity to join with Griffith mates to witness this amazing aquatic centre. The place looks awesome 😎 and well maintained. They have pool depth from basic 1m and 3m category. Advance to 16m, 20m deep level for professionals. The centre also contain small shops inside which you get basic stuffs for swimming 🥽. Mainly this place it's not "free" we need to pay entry fee. For more check their website!!

Cannot thank the team enough here with the efforts they put In for our kids to learn how to swim! Absolute legends!! Each and every instructor we have had with our kids has been amazing! Thank you team!!

First class swimming venue. There are numerous pools for all swimming deciplines. There is an indoor and outdoor pool facility for "learn to swim" a rehabilitation. In both pools are wheelchair ramps into the water. Plenty lifeguards in each area. There is a small coffee bar and retail swimming shop at the entrance. If you are looking for a substantial meal and a drink, there is a food area at the back of the pool areas called Cafe Catalina. Showers, toilets, and lockers are available. There are floodlights across the pools. Yes, and a toddlers splash pool area too. No alcohol on the premises. Don't forget sunblock and a hat. Please check website for membership and of special events to avoid disappointment.

The resort is known for its Kids' Club which provides supervised care for children up to 12 years old.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! The service was outstanding, and every staff member we met was friendly and helpful. I especially want to praise Tangi, the front desk receptionist, who went above and beyond to assist us and make our stay pleasant after a mistake occurred with our booking. Thanks to her professionalism and kindness, everything was quickly resolved with a smile. The hotel is perfect for families with children full of fun activities, great facilities, and engaging entertainment. The staff working with the kids were amazing, patient, and warm, and our children were on cloud nine throughout our stay! Highly recommended, we would love to come back

Rooms at captain quarters are unbelievably bad, old and outdated. The carpets/curtains were just gross. For the price we paid, we could have stayed at the Meriton or anywhere nicer and cleaner. We even found a cockroach in the room. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom, it’s perpetually wet and yucky with little black moths everywhere and mould around the rim of the sink. There are no reminder signs about the hot water from the taps especially since this is a kids resort. The body wash was not topped up until we requested for it. The room lights are sooo dim, making the room incredibly dark at night. The aircon compressor on the balcony is so rusty. There is no life guards at the pool area, (again it’s a kids resort), even if it’s the parents responsibility to care for own kids, we feel life guards are still important. The pavers at the car park exit had no signs to indicate a narrow driveway out, it was just weirdly structured. Overall we regretted booking this resort, we couldn’t wait leave. It might be good for kids who may enjoy the activities but the place needs a complete revamp.

Great family friendly resort. Very relaxed atmosphere, considering there were so many young children, the staff were so friendly and accommodating! So many activities for the kids they will not be bored for a minute. We stayed over Halloween and they did so many little activities, played music, had trick or treating through the resort and even a 'haunted' spooky train ride. The pool, spa and waterparks kept the kids and us as parents busy most of the day, but close location to the beach and Cavill Ave kept us busy the rest of our time. Our kids are a little older, if you had younger kids you really wouldn't need to leave the resort at all. They also have a good arcade, indoor & outdoor playgrounds, mini mart, and Kids Club. Our room in Captains Quarters was modern, clean and good location, negative was no vent in the bathroom so very steamy and wet when you showered, water would also run out of the shower. The only negatives of our stay, the food and drinks are expensive (you could bring alot of your own food, drinks & snacks but we didn't) and where our room was located was right near the pool and play area, so we had parents and kids being very loud until 10pm and from 6am in the morning each day. If you want peace and quiet don't book near there! Noise restrictions are from 10pm-7am so I guess nothing really wrong with it. Overall we had a great time and would definitely go again with friends or family to make it even better. So much better than just a normal hotel near the beach when you have kids. Hope this review helps!

⭐ Our Family Holiday at Paradise Resort Gold Coast ⭐ My family of four stayed at Paradise Resort Gold Coast for five nights this October, and we absolutely loved every moment! We deliberately booked outside of the school holiday period to avoid the chaos — and I’m so glad we did. It was busy enough to have a great vibe, but never overwhelming. The kids were in heaven — they honestly didn’t want to leave the resort! There’s so much to do that you don’t even need to venture out. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, everything was clean and well presented, and the food was delicious with options to suit every taste (even my fussiest little eater was happy!). The pools and waterparks were a definite highlight, and the daily entertainment kept us all busy and smiling. We loved the main stage shows, trivia, games with fun prizes, and the affordable extra activities like slime and ice cream making. The Halloween train ride and family disco were a big hit — we were all up dancing! A special shoutout to Johnny, one of the entertainment hosts, who went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. His energy and friendliness really stood out. We loved our stay so much that we didn’t want to leave — and we’ve already decided to make this an annual family tradition. Can’t wait to return to Paradise Resort Gold Coast again soon! 🌴💦✨

We have had the best time staying here! Honestly would highly recommend. The staff are so nice and there is so many great activities to do throughout the day. It accommodates to all ages and we could not fault this place one bit . The hospitality goes over and beyond and we have loved being apart of paradise resort. Our favourite staff is Johnny obviously being in the pool area most of the time. He is so great with the kiddies and adults aswell and is so funny! Love his personality. We will definitely come back for sure!

I'll start with, overall this was a great family resort and I would recommend it to any family with young kids aged from preschool to early teens. We just got home from our first family holiday to the Gold Coast with our two boys (6 and 9). The room we had in Captains Quarters was ok. It had minimal in room facilities and the beds weren't very comfortable (one was worse than the other). This is where our negatives of of the resort stopped. There is a large variety of food options that can cater to most people's needs. Most of the food that we ate was pretty good. The endless attractions and activities available were amazing. By the end of our stay we found ourselves racing back to the resort in the afternoons to catch the Kahoot trivia, games and movie on the big screen. The water park was very similar to what was available in the kids area of Wet 'n' Wild, so it kept the kids entertained once we returned from the theme parks. All of the staff were kind, friendly and helpful. A special mention goes to Johnny from the Captains Crew. He was a great activity host. The best was to sum him up in two words would be "The Simpsons" - Plenty of entertainment for the kids and just the right amount of whitty humour to give the parents a laugh aswell. Thank you for providing a great family holiday location. We will be back again one day. 👍😃
Ashley C — Google review
Loved this resort perfect spot for families service was awesome can't fault it from reception to staff at the bar and restrunt, location is a good distance from surfers, broad beach etc. It's what you want especially if you have little ones. Food was average there are areas that need improving but good menu otherwise. Rooms are clean just smells a little like Clorox and not sound proof so you can hear other families next door etc.
Elizabeth T — Google review
We stayed for 2 nights in Astro’s Alley at Paradise Resort Gold Coast. The resort is great for families. It is super kids friendly with lots of entertainment for kids and parents. The kids’ areas are clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. But there are some downsides. The hallway in Astro’s Alley was super smelly all the time. For a family of four, the room had a queen bed, one single bed, and another single bed that was very uncomfortable. You could feel the springs through the mattress, and it wasn’t even comfortable to sit on. Our booking included breakfast, but the buffet wasn’t self service. Staff served the food from behind the counter, so options were very limited. There was no hot food at all, which is disappointing for a resort. If you wanted something simple like eggs, you had to pay extra. Around 5 to 6 in the afternoon, there were no staff around the pool. Kids were running everywhere with no supervision, and people were drinking right next to the pool while kids were playing, and no one seemed to monitor it. Overall, it’s fun for kids but needs better management and facilities.

Helensvale Aquatic Centre offers a great experience for families with both outdoor and indoor pools, making it suitable for any weather. The facility features an 8-lane swimming pool for training and a shallow end for toddlers, with three lifeguards on duty at all times. It is wheelchair-friendly and has a canteen offering limited hot food. Additionally, there are picnic areas around the pool available on a first-come basis.
Very good experience at Rackley swimming in Helensvale, all staff are friendly, cooperative and my kids are learning quickly and effectively, lifeguards are working so hard for all the kids’ safety. Absolutely would recommend.

Incredible spot for children's birthday party. My son and his friends had heaps of fun on the inflatable and in the big pool. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating! Shaded areas for the party were great. Pricing was affordable and handy that you can self cater. Highly recommend 😁
Abbey — Google review
Had my son's 7th birthday here on the weekend and of course it was raining cats and dogs. However when the party started the rain stopped and the kids had an absolute ball. For 3 hrs straight they did not stop swimming, except to do the cake. We actually had the whole aquatic centre to ourselves, due to the weather. It was awesome. I highly recommend this place for a kids birthday party. So grateful to Chris who went above and beyond to make sure my sons birthday party was perfect and also the other staff members (lifeguards) who were super friendly, very helpful and great with the kids. We will definitely be going back.
Ashlee H — Google review
I have had my daughters birthday here a few times. The staff are always great and will try and accommodate anything you may need help with. I found the cost quite affordable and I always get it catered by the H.A.C. The kids love playing on the inflatable that the H.A.C. provide and when your time is up, the kids can then play in the pool. The most recent party we had here, I got feedback from some of the parents saying their child had a great time.
John L — Google review
Wouldn't recommend going here for hydrotherapy. They literally kick you out of the indoor pool at 3pm when the kid classes start cause they take priority over everyone else even though I've also paid. Went at 2:30 today to be told I couldn't go in as they were fixing the pump and that I'd still have to be out by 3 so couldn't go in after driving all the way there wasting my time, energy and petrol. The outside pool is too cold to do hydrotherapy. And only having 3 hrs to use the indoor pool from 12-3 isn't really long enough when you have work and appointments.

Celebrated my son’s birthday here over the weekend! Thanks to all of the friendly staff for making our time memorable. Extremely happy. Would recommend the inflatable party - fun for both the kids and the adults :)

8 Lane swimming pool for training, shallow end for toddlers. 3x lifesavers present at anytime. Indoor heated pool for toddler and rehab swimming. Wheelchair friendly. Canteen with limited hot food. There is about 7x picnic covered areas around the pool. First come vasis no bookings. Party catering can be arranged with the canteen. Water is clean and facilities well kept. It gets busy so parking is a little congested. There are power plugs.
Colin P — Google review
It was their open day so we could enter for free. There was an inflatable for kids and free face painting, which were special attraction for the day. Our little ones played in the shallow end of the pool. The water is heated. There are tables and chairs under roof.

I was a competitive swimmer when I was younger, it was my happy place. Life happened, kids happened and it felt like a lifetime ago. For the past two years I’ve battled with a disease called Small Fibre Neuropathy (SFN) which makes it extremely hard to do everyday tasks. SFN is extremely painful. I have two boys, I’m tough, I’m a positive person and I’m the last person who would think of myself as having a disability or barrier. It’s just who I am. It took about 12 months for doctors to work out why I had such excruciating pain so often. I could barely walk. Still, there are days I struggle. I hate talking about the struggle because it’s not who I am. I just want to be able to feel good for my boys.I have followed Cérge for a while after seeing a really uplifting story and although I didn’t think its was for me, because again, I don’t feel like I have a barrier. I realised that actually I could try this app to give staff a heads up on what’s going on for me. Cérge seems like it’s for everyone who just needs something a bit extra or different and I didn’t feel like it was going to make me feel like a burden. I saw on the website that Cérge was at the Nerang pool which is reasonably local to me. I was nervous even thinking about exercising when standing to cook dinner causes me pain. How would I ever exercise? But, I don’t know, something made me feel like it was worth the attempt. Maybe Cérge was my little motivator friend. I took a look at the website and got a good idea of the pool and the amount of stairs etc. u was pretty nervous about being sore after swimming, and to be honest, I am . But, my heart is full! My energy is back and my vibe about having something for me is fuelled! I love swimming, I always have! It’s been 8 years since I even dipped a toe in. I was terrified to go back, always too busy, always too much in. Nothing like a bit of pain to motivate you hey.I do have to say, if Cérge wasn’t there and I didn’t feel like the pool was a safe space I wouldn’t have tried and another 8 years would easily pass. “Swimming” is now booked in to my calendar every week! This is going to help me on so many levels

I've recently been taking my little boy to swimming lessons here with miss Cindy, and she is absolutely fantastic, very patient and understanding of all the little kids needs during the lessons, firm and fair, ensuring that the lessons run smoothly and they are all having fun and learning. Highly recommended 👌

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nerang Aquatic Centre Since starting at Nerang Aquatic Centre in May, this place has become more than just a pool for me—it’s been a big part of my journey through a tough time with my mental health. From day one, I’ve felt genuinely welcomed by the staff. Lockie, Steve, Dan (lifeguards), and Susan in the office have all been amazing, and every staff member I’ve come across has been incredibly friendly and supportive. The facilities are excellent, but it’s the warm, welcoming vibe and the people that truly set this place apart. Of all the pools on the Gold Coast, this is where I feel most at home. Highly recommend!
Daniel C — Google review
The council charges parents an entry fee and requires them to keep an eye on their kids swimming. I agree parents should monitor their children, but I don’t agree in charging parents for that experience when they’re not even using the facilities. Some of the pool tiles are sharp and cut my child’s toe.
Bangaz B — Google review
I travel a lot with work and swim all over this beautiful country and when I come home it’s always a pleasure to visit my hometown pool . The staff are all super friendly and I am always greeted with a smile and a hello which these days seems too much effort for most . Hats off to nerang pool staff and thanks for a clean beautiful pool to train in .
Peter B — Google review
I had not a very good experience over there. It’s not a rushy place so good for those who want to avoid crowd in a pool. The environment is good but the worst part of my visit was the toilets which were extremely dirty. No maintenance at all, couldn’t tolerate to stay there even a second. I’ll never visit this place again.

The Miami Aquatic Centre is currently undergoing renovations, with only a single 50m lap pool open to the public. The facility is set to be equipped with modern amenities once the revamp is complete. Visitors have praised the upgraded complex and its excellent facilities, including free parking. The outdoor ramp access pool provides inclusivity for mobility-limited individuals. Guests have enjoyed the indoor heated pool, outdoor lap pool, and clean shower rooms with body shampoo dispensers available in every area.
I just want to say that the service at the Miami Aquatic Center and Rackley’s swimming is excellent. No matter how many times I make online portal errors, they are always happy and obliging to fix them. The teachers for my children have always gone above and beyond to help them in the water. I cannot give more stars, but I wish I could. All the staff at the front desk (Kirby and Justine in particular) are welcoming. Thank you

Came for the heated pool for little one. Upon arrival I was advised by a lady at the car park who just been to the heated pool that the temperature is a bit cooler than usual. So I asked at the desk about the temperature and was advised by staff member in a condescending tone of voice ‘its only about 1.5 degree lower than usual, still above 30 though’ so I went in only to realise that the water is only a bit warmer than the typical pool for adults. So I left without even saying anything as I felt uncomfortable coming back to the desk & reasoning… Surely the staff should know that cooler swim water means sick baby 😞 Attaching some fact sheet for the staff.

Great club. Indoor and outdoor pools. Ego free gym, heated pools & friendly staff. Well-being amenity of plunge pools and inferred sauna were easy access with no queues. Heaps of areas to sit and regroup post training. Gym was well equipped and not busy. Best place to train in Miami & the whole family can go.

First time at the leisure centre this morning, I thought I would do some laps (8:30am) attended at the deck said as a greeting what do you want???? I said , to do some laps-how many lanes are open he said 6-9 only in the pool closest to us. 3x 50m pools and only 3lanes available to the public.rach of these lanes had between 8 &10 in each lane. I did 12 laps which I had to stop ever 20m for the person infront to get further ahead. Not really a public pool then.

I recently reached out to inquire about membership options and was met with one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. The team member I spoke with was incredibly rude and dismissive, which made it impossible to continue the conversation. I had high hopes for this membership, but the lack of professionalism and courtesy has left a sour taste in my mouth. I ended the call prematurely and won't be pursuing this membership any further. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future

Guests can watch polar bears at Polar Bear Shores, observe tropical fish and sharks in the world's largest man-made shark lagoon, and even touch rays at Ray Reef. The park also features entertaining seal presentations and live dolphin shows.
This location seems to be an excellent choice for families, providing a range of attractions such as rides, seal and dolphin shows, stingray encounters, and numerous complimentary activities. Although certain experiences necessitate payment, the admission cost allows for an enjoyable visit even with the free offerings. For families, bringing your own beverages and snacks could potentially lead to significant savings. You need to go early for the car park It is highly recommended.

I had an amazing time with the kids, watching their faces light up as they saw dolphins perform for the first time. My kids were full of excitement exploring the penguin exhibit and learning about marine life in a fun, hands-on way. The kids were thrilled to interact so closely with the animals. The rides and shows kept everyone engaged, creating a perfect mix of adventure and education. It was a joyful and memorable day, filled with laughter, learning, and shared moments of wonder by the sea.

We had a really good time at Sea World! The park is clean, well maintained, and easy to get around. The seal and dolphin shows were definitely the highlight entertaining, informative, and beautifully done. It was lovely to see how well the animals are cared for. The only downside was the food options there were very limited vegan and vegetarian choices, which made it a bit tricky to find something suitable for lunch. Hopefully, they can expand their plant-based menu in the future. Overall, a great experience for families and anyone who enjoys marine life and fun shows!
Sanjula — Google review
Spent the day at SeaWorld recently, and enjoyed it. Liked all the shows, especially the dolphin one! Was grateful that they had a proper sit-down restaurant that served health food. My husband and I both had the bowl each. which was as delicious as it was nutritious 😋 We were disappointed with the water ski show though. Gone were the impressive multi-acrobatic moves. All we saw this time was a show between two rival gangs and some boring stunts. We also did the helicopter ride. The 10 minute deal is the best in my opinion. The pilot was very informative; he doubled up as the tour guide Overall SeaWorld was a great experience 😃

Had the best time at Sea World! Every ride was so much fun and well worth the wait. Loved the dolphin shows they were amazing! The place was clean, well-organized, and perfect for all ages. Truly one of the best theme parks I’ve been to. Highly recommend visiting if you’re on the Gold Coast!

Loved it! A shame the dolphin show isn't available at the moment. Fortunately we caught the last day. Our two year old grandson had a blast on the Junior rides. Wait time was reasonable. Staff were pleasant and helpful when asked for assistance. The app allows you to know what time each show is on. Highly recommend visiting if you are on the Gold Coast.

Absolutely loved our visit!! We got to see every show and ride every ride we wanted to with minimal wait times. No missing the shows because you were waiting 60 plus minutes for a ride like movieworld. So many grass spots to eat, so many food options, eve low gluten. The park has been done up and is so true to the theme. The rides are fantastic. The staff are so efficient and friendly. Can safely say this was our favourite theme park and we love SeaWorld!!!

Sea World on the Gold Coast is a fantastic destination for families with kids. It’s incredibly family-friendly, and there’s something fun for everyone. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the whole park feels safe and well-managed. The dolphin show and stunt performances were absolutely unforgettable – both entertaining and impressive! Every attraction we tried was fun and engaging, from the animal exhibits to the rides. Overall, it’s a great place to spend the day with your family. Highly recommended!

Dreamworld is a massive amusement complex on the Gold Coast, offering a wide range of attractions and activities. It boasts the biggest and most thrilling rides in Australia, as well as a wildlife sanctuary and even the Big Brother House. With over 30 rides catering to all ages and preferences, there's something for everyone here. Visitors can enjoy experiences like Tiger Island, where majestic White Tigers roam freely, or catch some waves at Flow Rider.
Loved our trip to Dreamworld. The rides were fantastic. The way the park was layed out was excellent. Really enjoyed the animal section and the tiger tunnel that goes above your head it was really fantastic. My son loved going on his first roller coaster ride here. I can't wait to come back and visit again. Highly recommend this amazing park to everyone. The staff were superb friendly as well.

Family day to Dreamworld and White Water World. Lines were ok, not the busiest time of the year to go. Was still warm. More airflow/fans/cooling Required for ride lines. Clean amenities. Good/drink lines were average wait times in busy time slots. We didn’t eat food there only Drinks in refillable cups. White Water World is great for a Cool off after a busy day on the rides and walking around.

Great park with many activities you can enjoy with your family. The ticket prices are reasonable, and the facilities are good. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is purchasing food tickets, as the food quality is quite poor.

Dreamworld is an amazing day to spend with your family. Rides for all ages and heights. Entertainment that makes for a fun break in between the thrill of the rides. Seeing wildlife that brings joy and wonder to your kids faces. Worth every penny for an annual pass or even just a day pass.

Had an amazing day at Dreamworld! We bought the pass that also included entry to WhiteWater World, so we got to enjoy both parks on the same day, totally worth it! Dreamworld has a great mix of thrilling rides, family attractions, and animal encounters. One of the highlights was getting to hold a koala and take pictures such a memorable experience! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the parks were clean and well maintained. A perfect day out on the Gold Coast for families and friends!

We generally renew an annual pass, love to go to Dreamworld in winter and water world in summer. Not a lot of good options for gluten free and vegetarian but a fun day. The steal taipan, sky Voyager and the rip are our favourite rides.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an awesome family day at Dreamworld — full of fun, laughter, and great memories! The park has something for everyone, and our kids had an absolute blast. The rides, shows, and overall atmosphere were fantastic. One small suggestion: it would be great if Dreamworld could introduce an optional express entry pass for those who’d like to skip the queues — maybe for around double the standard ticket price. At the moment, you have to pay separately for each express ticket, and during busy times the long wait for some rides can take away a bit of the fun. Overall though, it’s definitely worth visiting, and we’ll absolutely be coming back again! Our kids are already asking when our next trip will be! 🎢🎡🌞

The park offers a variety of thrill rides, a wave pool, concessions, and a surf shop. It's perfect for families or groups of friends looking for fun activities.
It was a truly delightful experience. The weather was ideal, and the atmosphere was exceptionally pleasant. It wasn't overly crowded, allowing us to fully enjoy each slide. We thoroughly enjoyed all the slides, the hot tub, and even the area designed for the younger ones, which was perfect. While some slides were closed for maintenance, there were still plenty to enjoy.

The pros: Vigilant lifeguards, plenty of lockers ($12 all day hire), lots of seating, clean bathrooms, and sufficient rides and water experiences for all ages. Wait times were not long for rides but we were there on a weekday and it wasn’t school holidays. The food was also better than expected - We really enjoyed our burgers. The cons: On the day we went, 3 rides were closed for maintenance (including one which was unplanned). While we were fortunate to be able to return a couple of days later to go on the last ride we wanted, it’s something to bear in mind if you have your heart set on something. I was grateful customer service was able to tell me when the unplanned maintenance might end.

We had an amazing time at Wet’n’Wild! The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. The park was clean, well-organized, and full of fun rides for all ages. Our kids couldn’t get enough of the water slides and wave pool, pure joy all day! There were plenty of shaded spots to relax, friendly staff everywhere, and food outlets offering great options to refuel between rides. Safety was clearly a top priority, which made the experience even more enjoyable and stress-free. It’s the perfect place for families, friends, or anyone looking to beat the heat and have a day full of excitement. We’ll definitely be back again soon!

Great place for kids & adults alike. Tge wave pool is great fun for young ones and the less adventurous. Plenty of seating in shade when not busy. Beware the scrub turkeys jumping from seat to seat, pooping on cabanas!

great park with lots to do, the lines were pretty long for a weekday. there were a few people blatantly skipping lines, and some groups would have one person waiting in the single rider line while they hide around the corner, and getting the rest of their group to join to skip the lines when it’s the person’s turn. i wish the crew would keep more of an eye out for this as it makes the long queues intolerable

They sell services they are not equipped to handle. Severely understaffed. Most stores not opened. They sell unlimited refills for drinks online with no facility to actually refill them without waiting for over an hour in the same line at the 1 store open in the entire park to buy all drinks and food. The eating area is full of people waiting to be served and not actually eating.
Colin F — Google review
I would never come back. Slides purposely slowed down to make reason for the ridiculously $100 price for 7 fast rides only. Everything is boring and slow lined up for 2 hours so far and still haven't been down a slide. Now the main water park is shut and we are just sitting on seat. By far the worst water park will NEVER come back. Movie World, Sea world and Wet n Wild are by far the absolute best places to go! And aren't a money pit for crap like WWW. Baby pool was the coldest pool we have been in at ANY THEME PARK ! Not even close to worth the price. And don't even get me started on waits for drink or food!!!
All A — Google review
The kids had a great day which was the goal and a big part of the 4stars. However the wait times were 30mins per slide and the express pass was really frustrating as when you got close to the top you had to wait to allow people who had just completed their ride who came back up the steps to go again! Food was average, I would recommended bringing your own.
Damien M — Google review
1 hour wait lines for 30 secs of joy Not worth the price or energy and frustration waiting in lines as an interstate visitor 2 adults and 2 children - left halfway through the day to go to dreamworld instead 4 slides in 4 hours ain’t cutting it Some slides had 2-3 mins down time between sliders for what??!! The 8 slide only had 5 lines open then they would send single riders or 2 riders down at once with a 2 min break at the end I understand safety but it’s actually ridiculous and feel it could be done so much better Opening during the week days would be so much better Will not be returning

Sea World Resort is a vibrant seafront accommodation located adjacent to Sea World, making it an ideal choice for animal enthusiasts and families with young children. The resort offers comfortable rooms and luxury suites suitable for families of all sizes. Guests can enjoy the lagoon-style outdoor pool and convenient access to the adventure at Sea World marine park.
Wonderful Resort with young kids. While the rooms in some areas are a little dated, they are comfortable and clean! Our room overlooked the Large Pool which our kids loved. The Pool is heated and open from 7am and until 9pm (which shows they understand kids and families) The Grounds were well maintained. Access into Seaworld was so easy. All our encounters with staff were wonderful. A great experience and we will definitely be back, thank you :)

This was our third year travelling to SeaWorld for our annual family holiday. We absolutely love the convenience of staying at the resort and the kids love the activities and splash parks. I wanted to say a special mention to Peter, I remember him every year for his exceptional customer service and friendly nature in the restaurant. He makes the stay extra special. Bella at reception also was extremely helpful and presented incredible communication shuffling our rooms around so we could have the room we hoped for. However unfortunately there a few negatives of the trip firstly, the horrible customer service call centre which I was advised is a third party call centre, the staff when having to phone for booking or information prior to the stay are absolutely blunt and rude and have no customer service skills, I have been three years staying at SWR and I have spoken to about 15 staff from this call centre and only maybe spoken to 2 people with good customer service skills. It makes for a negative initial experience with SeaWorld resort especially for the price to pay for this resort I would expect immaculate customer service also being a family friendly resort. The past two years staying the call centre advised (very rudely as if it was an effort and they had no interest in helping) they had added room requests to our booking only for reception to say this was never added on arrival and having to adjust for us, which comes with room changes a couple days into our stay. We play extra to get close to the sponge bob splash pads and the park wing but for the years paying for this we have always started our stay in the other wings. Furthermore there was a man on concierge who was extremely rude when I had advised him one of the machines in the arcade wasn’t working however was taking tokens without game play, a young boy from another family was very upset and we had also lost some money on this machine ourselves and the man smirked and had no interest in doing anything about this. I repeated to reception who were lovely in thanking myself and advising they will let management know. Finally our room had no conditioner in the soap dispensers and our conjoining doors were left open to strangers. There was also mould all over the bottom of the cot mattress my son was sleeping on that we noticed on the final day. For the amount spent on the accomodation for my family and others every year I would expect a better experience from the management of rooms and customer service.

I have been tossing up weather to give 3 or 4 stars. I spent 5 nights recently at Seaworld resort and we had a great time, so much so we are coming back next year but here are the pros and cons: Pros: Beautiful grounds, plenty for the kids to do (even a kids disco on Monday night which was great), great pools for the kids, Easy access to the park, really well priced food and drinks surprisingly, lots of food options, always something going on. Our favourite spot was on the lawn of an afternoon, ordering drinks while all the kids played. Service was great and food was delicious. Best buffet breakfast Cons: We were placed in a pretty old run down room (my sister on the other hand had a renovated one and was lovely) – comfortable but really needs to be renovated, I wasn’t too fussed as who spends time in the room anyway but worth a mention. The biggest issue for me which is why I was thinking 3 stars was the lack of shade around the kids play areas/pool. Also the kids water park area glass fencing is all frosted so even if you can get a seat in a particular shaded area close to the kids play area, you can’t see them as the glass is frosted. So I guess the expectation is the parents need to stand around the kids areas in the blazing sun? Also around this area is picnic tables and random sitting options but again no shade. Really hard on the adults and kids. Overall the kids had so much fun, mixing with other kids and families. Great place and we will be back!

Wonderful stay at Sea World Resort! We had heard mixed reviews so weren't sure what to expect, but we loved our time here. Staff were friendly and upon arrival our rooms air con was on which was appreciative with how hot it was. We also loved the check in process where we got a message to say when our room was ready (Way before check in time at 11am!). We split our stay over two. We first stayed in a more basic room but it was a nice clean modern room that overlooked a lovely garden. Our next room was right next to the water park on the ground level which was really handy with the kids! Our stay included buffet brekkie, dinner & theme park tickets. It was definitely value for money! Parking was a headache. We only managed a park once, the rest of the stay we had to park quite far down on the street which isn't ideal. We also didn't stay during holidays so I'd hate to see how it would be during busier times. The room service menu was also limited and the food wasn't great. They also forgot things with our meals. The wait in the morning for breakfast was quite long but once in there was a lovely variety. The dinner buffet was also delicious. Overall though the stay was lovely and we would definitely return.

Wonderful trip - this time with extended family. This resort does an incredible job with the sheer volume of people that come through it. The location attached to the park is second to none, the bar and seating on the waterfront for sunset is perfect. The pool and splashpads for the kids great. We came back a second time in 3 months and loved it just as much. Miss 6 is already asking when we're going back.

Great experience with family and kids. In and out of Sea World Theme Park, water activities and warm shallow pool for younger kids. If the rooms were updated it would be perfect(dated and slightly moldy scent). Based on the calibre of food - more restaurant availability through out the week(the Japanese and Italian restaurants were both good, surprisingly good).

We had a great family holiday! Friendly service from all staff. Place was clean and tidy but could do with some updates in the rooms. Parking was a bit of an issue, first 2 nights we couldn’t even park in the resort carpark. Was also extremely hard when it was storming and a car full of kids to get inside. Food was average and a bit overpriced.

Nestled in the heart of the Gold Coast, Dorsett Gold Coast is a stylish and modern hotel that offers a luxurious experience. With chic, contemporary rooms and a range of amenities including an infinity pool, spa, and fitness center, this 4.5-star accommodation provides top-notch service and efficiency from the moment you arrive. The hotel's convenient location allows for easy access to nearby attractions such as The Star Gold Coast and Pacific Fair Shopping Centre.
We had a lovely one night stay. The room was reasonably small, but well appointed with large TV, coffee machine and mini-bar. The bathroom was a great size with a very large shower. The TV in the room was a little glitchy with both the sound and the vision flickering and jumping out of sync. Further, the Chromecast did not work at all despite following the on-screen instructions. Upon our check-in at 1:30pm ( check in time is 3:00pm) we were advised that the room was clean, however it needed to be checked over by a supervisor before we could go to the room ( our bags had already been taken up). It was over an hour before we could go to the room. I will however note, that the staff were very helpful and apologetic and kept us informed. The car park in at the Star Casino and is a bit of an expedition to find the right spot, but the staff again, were very helpful with the instructions and we did find the car-park relatively easy. The appearance of the facilities is lovely and the rooms have a calm and relaxed feel with a luxe focus. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is amazing with easy access to the Star Casino and a very quick walk to Pacific Fair. Only a few minutes walk to the beachfront. Overall, a lovely accommodation and a relaxed stay.

Our experience with this hotel was a mixed bag, starting with a significant challenge: parking. The parking garage is a logistical nightmare—the space is extremely tight, especially on the corners, and the signage is unclear. When it's full, as it was for us, it becomes dangerous and difficult to manoeuvre with other large vehicles, It was a stressful and time-consuming process to even find a spot, never lone get to the front desk, which wasn't an ideal start after a very long day. However, things improved upon arrival. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient, and we were checked in quickly. The room itself was clean, modern and comfortable. We appreciated the hot shower, soft towels, and cozy bed. The balcony offered a lovely and peaceful view. While the hotel is conveniently located near the casino for dining and entertainment, it was disappointing that there was no bottled water provided in the room, especially after a long day. We also couldn't confirm if there was room service as the phone wasn't working. Overall, it's a pleasant but simple hotel that doesn't quite live up to its price point (which was quite high, over $500 a night) or star rating compared to other options nearby. Whilst we wouldn't personally stay here again, we would recommend it for those visiting for business or to enjoy the casino's entertainment.

Like others we found the car parking really off putting and tricky - some better signage and guidance as part of booking confirmation would really help. Once we arrived reception staff were great (though we didn’t get a teddy bear for my little girl as I saw others did!). The room was clean, spacious and calming. Not a great view from our balcony to a construction site but very comfy bed, and all the mod cons. The hotel pool was a hit and hotel location is perfect. Stand out customer experience for us was Francisca at check out - she was super friendly, attentive, professional and left us with a great impression at the end :)

I recently stayed at Dorsett Gold Coast and overall had a really pleasant experience. The only surprising part was the $200 pre-authorisation they charge upon check-in and even after checking out, it’s been over 12 hours and I still haven’t received it back, which was a bit unexpected. Apart from that, everything else was excellent. The room was clean, cozy, and had a great atmosphere. The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the room super comfortable. I also loved the TV with Chromecast, which made it easy to stream my shows. Would definitely recommend this hotel for its comfort, cleanliness, and overall vibe just be aware of the pre-authorisation hold!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely amazing stay at Dorsett Gold Coast! From the moment I arrived, everything was perfect — the staff were super friendly, welcoming, and helpful with parking and check-in. The room was spotless, modern, and had a beautiful view. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was sparkling clean with great water pressure. The location couldn’t be better — right next to The Star Casino, Pacific Fair, and Broadbeach restaurants. I also loved the buffet breakfast, with fresh options and great coffee. The pool area was gorgeous and peaceful, and the whole hotel felt safe and relaxing. Amazing Service at Dorsett Gold Coast! The staff at Dorsett Gold Coast are absolutely amazing! I accidentally left my Dior bag behind when I checked out and only realised it a week later. Honestly, I didn’t have high hopes of getting it back, but I decided to call the hotel and try my luck. The customer service team kindly connected me to the Lost & Found department, and when I explained my situation, the staff member asked for my room details and description of the bag. To my absolute relief, he said, “Yes, we have your bag here!” I was so thankful and relieved. He even offered to send it back to me via courier. I just want to say a huge thank you to the team and especially to the housekeeper who found my bag. Your honesty and exceptional service went above and beyond. I’ll definitely be recommending Dorsett Gold Coast to all my friends and family. Thank you again for your outstanding hospitality!

Great hotel! Lovely linen, clean room, great shower and multiple (4 at least) charger ports plus a wireless phone charger supplied. Nice to have the modern technology! The $10 credit for the cafe near reception instead of fresh towels was appreciated as we were only here for 2 nights. Thanks Dorsett Gold Coast ☺️

Room - Very small space with 2 Double Beds. Panoramic view was looking over multiple building sites of the casino and adjoining hotel. Extremely expensive for such a small space with minimal facilities within the room. (When we arrived, room had all cabinets / draws open as if it were waiting to be cleaned and restocked and someones cot was partially dismantled and left in the middle of the room) Parking was a nightmare for a 4x4 Patrol with limited direction and availability. Service - Initial check in: The person that checked me in was not able to answer any questions regarding breakfast timing and availability, parking, surcharges, list goes on. When complaining about room over a construction site, the next attended was polite and moved us to a room on a higher floor but with same view and layout. Manager called over to discuss , listened and then walked away and didnt return. Pool Bar - Waited over an hr for 4 dishes to then be told when following up that they were missed. When we asked to cancel, no refund or options given. Male staff member just looked blankly at us and didnt care at all. Breakfast - Extremely expensive for what is included in the buffet! Pool Chairs have also been removed with no mention of this on the web page. My family booked this trip based on this pool and the pics on its web page. Dont believe the pictures advertising the hotel. It seems those at the Dorsett are happy to make mistakes, not provide an expected level of service or hospitality and then hide behind a surface level apology. The only reason I have given a star is due to its location for the Convention Centre with an adjoining walk way. I would not recommend nor would I book a Dorsett again.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Broadbeach, Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach is a haven of luxury just a stone's throw from the sun-kissed patrolled beaches. This upscale hotel boasts 296 elegantly designed rooms and suites, each offering breathtaking views of either the Pacific Ocean or lush hinterland. Guests can indulge in modern amenities such as LED Smart TVs, high-speed Wi-Fi, and plush Sofitel MyBeds with an enticing pillow menu for ultimate comfort.
The location of the hotel is ideal. The staff were very helpful and friendly. As I was using a walker during my stay the concierge would always help me in exiting my car and help in making sure that I was safe. If you wanted to travel to the main area of the Gold Coast you were within walking distance of the light rail. I had a balcony looking toward the hills and it was great to sit outside just to have a coffee and snacks while enjoying the view. The restaurant food was fresh. The room was very spacious

We loved our stay in room 1910, it was quiet and well away from the noise. Despite the October long we k nd we had no problem with street parking. The bed was a little small (more like a double rather than a queen), but the room was clean and spacious. The views were amazing and we loved waking up to the sound and view of the beach. A very pleasant stay and we would come back.

Incredible hotel with incredible location. The service from the Concierge staff Michael was really amazing, not only he greeted us upon arriving but he also went above and beyond with his kind and attentive service. I asked if I could use the microwave, and he swiftly helped me to heat up my meal and added some extra touch with providing a bowl for my lunch. What a lovely service from the heart. Definitely 1 of the top 5 hotels I have ever stayed.

We have always loved staying in Sofitel. So anywhere we go we aim to stay in Sofitel - and Sofitel Broadbeach did not disappoint. Tho I am not Platinum like my husband yet. Will see as my company grows. We actually consistently stayed in Sofitel Brisbane for almost 6 months and we got married in Sofitel Manila, there we also won the all-expense paid trip to Paris on a New Years Eve with VIP treatment in France and had an Exclusive Winery tour in Champagne France. We stayed in Sofitel New York.

From the Front Door Service to Reception Check-In ALL Staff on hand upon our arrival VERY Welcoming, Accommodating and added that little bit extra of customer service with Champagne on arrival if you wanted. Our King Size Room on Level 19 with River view Amazing, Absolutely Clean, Refreshing smelling. Variety of Tea and Coffe supplied within room. Wonderful and cool room we entered just how i like due to arriving on a humid day. Staff very accommodating allowed us to check in two hours earlier then expected. Thank you Team Amazing Stay Highly Recommend You All Stay At Sofitel.

We had an excellent experience — the service was outstanding, the facilities were great and well maintained, and the location couldn’t have been better. Everything we needed was close by, with plenty happening around Broadbeach to enjoy after conference hours. Highly recommend for both business and leisure stays!

Our stay was nice, with great customer service. But our bathroom was not clean, with soap scum and hairs at the base of shower door, scum around the sink facets. We wanted to have a relaxing, after-dinner swim, but the pool was closed at 7pm, which is a very unusual time, so that was disappointing.

This luxurious beachfront property offers a range of on-site amenities such as a 600 square metre lagoon entry pool, palm-fringed pool on level 5 and plenty of private alcoves. There is also a cinema, pools, beaches and gardens.
We originally had a small 2 bedroom suite on level 20, with great views. However, my child doesn't like heights. I asked if it was possible to change rooms, and Madeleine at reception was wonderful in helping us switch rooms. Madeleine put us in tower 3 on level 5. We had a fantastic big 2 bedroom suite on the same level as the lagoon and indoor pools. This was great for us with kids, and having the balcony on grass/pool level took away the height anxiety. It was also quieter as you couldn't hear as much street noise. It's a huge complex, so once you work out where you are and how to get to parking, it's not an issue. Location is GREAT. If you're a family with kids, I can not tell you how great this place is and for the price, I highly recommend it. We are definitely coming back and staying in tower 3, level 5 again! Thanks again to Madeleine for accommodating us. We really appreciated it.

For as long as l can remember, Chevron mantra has always been a Surfers Paradise iconic place to stay. It's proximity to Cavil Avenue, beach, restaurants and bars is ideal. Now travelling with teenagers and young children this hotel is even more inviting and the perfect location to explore the Gold Coast from. With a full shopping centre underneath, including Coles, specially stores, pharmacy and medical centre it has it all. There are 3 towers, each interconnected by the magnificent lagoon pool. There are 2 outdoor pools and one huge indoor heated pool, gym and pilates studio, kids playground and very clean bbq area and outdoor lounge. The decor of complex is incredibly dated and in need of a serious refurbishment and uplift. We had a 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment and it was perfect, comfortable and views that spanned for miles of glorious ocean. Waking up to the smell of the ocean was magical. We threw open the huge sliding doors and enjoyed the indoor outdoor experience whilst have breakfast. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Artworks were interesting choice! Kitchen facilities are fabulous and perfect for holiday cooking. Overall perfect place to stay and reasonably priced

The apartment was located in a great spot, close to everything and had wonderful views. The pool was fabulous and huge! The 3br apartment was huge so plenty of space for our family of 6. Needed a little more attention to detail when it comes to cleaning but overall we would return!

NEVER AGAIN - The kitchen table was covered in thick dust upon entry. - The TV remotes don’t work due to flat batteries, and the remote in the master bedroom is rusted and broken with a missing back cover. - Cockroaches were found in both the room and the lobby. - The wind rattled the master bedroom balcony doors, causing the floor and bed to shake. - Master Bedroom Balcony cracked and sunken (OHS issue) - The tenants next door were screaming from their balcony. - The dryer filter was caked with lint and unclean. - The amenities in the shower (shampoo, etc.) were empty and not topped up. - The washing machine agitator was filled with powder, which took me 20 minutes to clean, and the lint catcher was full of junk and slimy. - There is a foul odour in the lobby that smells like urine and garbage - The cutlery in the drawers was used and unwashed. - There is no air conditioning in the hallways, lobby, or lifts. - The wind creates a loud high-pitched continuous whistle at the front door. - The master shower leaks water under the door, causing it to pool on the ground and soak the bath mat.

We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment at Mantra Towers of Chevron in Surfers Paradise and absolutely loved it! The apartment was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay — including a full kitchen, laundry facilities, and a large balcony with amazing views of the ocean and city skyline. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Surfers Paradise, with easy access to shops, cafes, and the beach just a short walk away. The facilities were also top-notch: the lagoon-style pool area was stunning, the indoor pool and gym were well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, a great place for families or groups looking for convenience, comfort, and a bit of luxury. We’ll definitely be staying here again next time we visit the Gold Coast!

I recently stayed at Mantra Towers (level 16, oceanview) dueing a business trip - my apartment was fantastic - super clean, well stocked and the amenities were excellent. Of particular note and deserving of special mention was Ella, on the front desk, whom I also had spoken to when clarifying parking options : a very pleasant and comfortable stay which I would happily enjoy again.

Great location but parking can be confusing since there are 3 towers. Directly connected to shopping centre with Coles and restaurants. The apartments are a bit old but clean, spacious, comfortable. Favorite part of the lagoon pool and spa. The best way to relax in the morning for a few hours. BBQ facilities are present along poolside.

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel was in a perfect location, making it easy to get around. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our visit. We especially loved the interior design—it looked just like a cruise ship inside, which was such a cool and unique touch. The kids had an absolute ball in the pool area, which was definitely a highlight for the whole family. Overall, a lovely hotel that made our trip really enjoyable.

We had a mostly good stay here! The staff were super friendly and helpful from the moment we checked in, which was a great start. The apartment itself was really spacious and clean – the kitchen had everything we needed, which made it easy for longer stays. Also, the free self-parking was a great bonus – always appreciate not having to stress about that! The location was another big plus – walking distance to the beach, the tram, and the centre of town, so everything was super convenient. The pool area looked beautiful too, though the water was absolutely freezing – probably only usable in peak summer! On the downside, the room was pretty dated (though that’s not unusual for the Gold Coast). There was no housekeeping the entire time, and the bed wasn’t comfy – two singles pushed together with sheets that didn’t really fit, and no proper doona cover, just a sheet. We found a spare blanket in the wardrobe but it didn’t have a cover and was kind of gross. We were a bit worried about construction noise next door, but it ended up being totally fine. We were placed fairly low down so we did hear some traffic noise, but nothing too major. All in all, a fine stay with some great features – just a few comfort things that could use an update.

The resort is just perfect for families. Location could not be better - short walk to everything. Beds were comfy, rooms were spacious. Rain shower was impressive. WiFi let us all use without any hiccups. Rooms a little dated but it’s no big thing. The oasis pool was brilliant and the kids could swim at night. A place we’d return to for sure.

I stayed in a private apartment. Our apartment was clean and we'll laid out and amazing views. The pool area is great, cold outdoor beach pool, too cold for me, heated children's play pool and indoor heated pool and spa. While there's no hotel breakfast or restaurant, there is a lovely Thai restaurant on site and the pool has a cafe open until 3pm selling breakfast and lunch options. It's within walking distance of Cavill Ave

We arrived just before 11am, walked into the lobby and immediately it felt like the hotel was abandoned. Everything was fairly dark and closed. Knowing we were too early for the room to be ready, we just wanted to drop off our bags. Bag drop was easy, however you simply get let into a room with everyone else's belongings and put your stuff on a shelf. There's no tag or number system, or anything stopping you grabbing someone else's stuff when you collect your bags later. With no other guests in sight, only the 2 staff at the check in desk, checking in was easy. We were told they would ask housekeeping to prioritise cleaning our room then call us when it was ready. We never received a call, so returned at 2pm when check in officially opened. We were told the room was ready and we could check in. Unsure how long it had been ready and waiting without a call though. We were asked if we had a car with us, confirmed no, then were given a carpark key and allocated bay anyway. The room itself was alright, but not up to the normal quality we've come to expect from other Mantra hotels. Everything felt very dated, so clearly wasn't one of the allegedly recently renovated rooms. The couch had lost it's springs and was incredibly saggy, the other chairs also felt on their way out. The shower head leaked and the shampoo/bodywash was horrible and felt like it dried your skin out more than anything. Some of the lights flickered and were different brightness levels. The toilet cistern also kept filling unless you pressed the button again to stop it. Huge waste of water if you don't notice and go out for the day. One positive was the pool looked very nice and the location was very central to where we were going. Every second building in Surfer's is a hotel, you'll likely find a better quality hotel down the road.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment for 5 nights. Apart from the building works opposite which we only heard the last day as it was October public holiday weekend. The room was clean and well facilitated, close walking distance to beach and tram, close enough to main surfers area but far enough from the noise and people. Also had a free parking space in the basement. Pool area was lovely resort style. Great for families and safe. Would recommend this hotel to everyone all ages.
Nicole P — Google review
Cons: Very dated hotel with a lot of maintenance issues, luck of the draw when it comes to your room, broken toilets, leaking taps and intermittent aircon. The rooms don't seem to have been cleaned properly in months. Pros: Very nice pool area, especially for families, some of the best Thai food I've had (though not owned by the hotel) and great location. A bit of maintenance, some more service in the rooms and this place would be great.
Byron V — Google review
This grew on me as a hotel. The reception and general hotel felt like a ghost town and was dated and dark. Our actual room was nothing special, but was clean and ended up being great as a place to crash in the evenings after days at the theme park. The pool was a real letdown, it looks awesome on the pictures, but all 3 pools were grubby and dirty. The pirate ship was also broken. Location was incredible, a stones throw from the nearest tram station and great for going to theme parks/ surfers paradise. If you need somewhere to just use as a base it will be fine, but not a great place to hang and chill at the pool.

BreakFree Diamond Beach Broadbeach is a delightful family-friendly resort that perfectly captures the essence of a beachside getaway. Located just steps away from the stunning golden sands of Kurrawa Beach, this apartment hotel features spacious one to three-bedroom accommodations equipped with kitchens, living areas, and balconies for your comfort. Guests can enjoy two expansive outdoor lagoon pools—one heated—complete with waterfalls and rock caves that create a serene atmosphere.
Great little beach getaway. Close to parks for kids of all ages. Close to great places to eat. Pacific fair is just up the road. Most importantly, very close to broad beach, just be aware that the closest beach entrance is not patrolled. However, there is a patrolled beach not too far down the beach. The accommodation itself is well appointed with the rooms spacious and comfortable, but depending who you book through may differ from room to room. The pool area is large and has a couple of different areas so you dont feel like everyone is altogether.

Our first time at Breakfree Diamond beach will most definitely not be our last. I brought my two young granddaughters with me and they loved the pools and the close proximity to shopping and Surfers Paradise. Also very close to all the public transport. Our apartment was spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds and I was very impressed that we were supplied with enough toilet paper, washing powder and detergent for our 7 night stay. The only thing that could have improved the kitchen facilities would be a few salad/fruit bowls. The reception staff couldn't do enough for us. They booked our theme park tickets and we got a 5% discount which was awesome. It is also close to the park, the beach and the Kurrawa Surf Club. 10 out of 10 for us!!! Thank you!

Great place to stay on a budget, tram stop close by to get to surfers. Allocated underground parking which you need in 30plus degree weather. Low rise with central pools was exactly what we were looking for. Choice of two swimming pools (one heated and one not), and two spa pools. Relaxing place to stay. Was close to 5 star

My family and I arrived quite late (9pm) on Mon 28 October 2025. 5 adults (54, 52, 24, 18 & 16yr old). The onsite lockbox had the keys, map and instructions to the apartment. The after hours arrival process was pretty easy to follow. We stayed in Unit 34. It was on the ground floor (had no stairs which I requested on the initial planning for this holiday) and we were VERY lucky to have been given this for our home to stay in for the week. This place was an incredibly beautiful, well maintained, spacious, clean, and well equipped home with 3 large bdrms. 2 of the bedrooms had x2 single beds in each of them, ceiling fans, large open wardrobes. Both bedrooms inter-connected to the main bathroom. Our room (the main bedroom) had a queen bed with its own ensuite bathroom. A big walk in wardrobe, big drawers, a ceiling fan & flatscreen TV fixed to the wall. The bed was amazing! Soft and sooooo comfy. Exactly what you want to come home to after a long day out site seeing and shopping. There is a washing machine & dryer in the garage (which I used every day). Free WIFI. The kitchen, dining & lounge was a massive open plan space. Dining table & chairs for 10 people, Lounge had a massive L shaped leather couch and another huge flat-screen TV hung on the wall. Kitchen was well equipped, fullsized fridge, oven, microwave, cutlery, pots & pans, kettle, toaster, kitchen utensils & heaps of cupboard space, we didn't need anything! The pool at this place is one of the main drawer cards, my family swam everyday! Check the Photos online, even better go there yourselves! I did consider gate keeping but that wouldn't have been very helpful now would it fellow traveller's?? Overall, amazing time, just wish we had longer and more money!! Enjoy!!

We had a 2 bedroom apartment at Break free. Whilst fine for the 2 nights, I wouldn't be inclined to stay longer. Neither bathroom had exhaust fans and the bathroom ensuited to the main bedroom didn't have a door at all. Ultimately though, all beds (the double and two singles) squeaking every time you rolled over made the experience once we'd like not to repeat anytime soon.

Very disappointed with the room. Not sure what room the people who left a great review were in but it definitely wasn’t ours. Worst I have stayed in. Aircon doesn’t work, fans are noisy. Curtains are filthy. Beds are hard. Bathrooms are dated and gross. Wouldn’t stay here again no matter the price.

Aquatic center
Palm Beach Aquatic and Community Centre is set to open in spring 2024, offering a variety of activities for all ages. The facility boasts impressive water quality and cleanliness, making it an ideal spot for swimming and aquatic classes. With a friendly team of instructors, wheelchair accessibility, and a range of fitness options, including a well-equipped gym, the center aims to cater to diverse needs. While the 50m pool is great for laps, there are other pools available for learning.
I have been going to this therapy pool all week and I was looking for the controlling workers whom I was reading about in the reviews?? They are all lovely and I think that this place is Spectacular!! I have seen severely disabled people with lovely workers and they look like they are having a good time. I saw a man with his Mum helping her walk, all forms of people in recovery and happy people. It's a lovely warm pool but being designated THERAPY POOL, you're not battling other people doing their laps. The stairs and the rails are deeply considerate of duty of care and much much easier to negotiate the AIS pool I use at home which has fairly difficult stairs to get in and out of. So I think QLD has beat the AIS pool. Also the facilities are easy. The big lockers really suit me and are easy to lock and unlock. It's the second time I've had coffee and food at the cafe which is spacious. It's been super hot coffee and lovely well made food. Congratulations this is such a great place for everyone to go to

Nicely renovated and clean. Card only unfortunately, no cash. Not enough parking in my opinion, one level underground, for how big the complex is now, it does not suit.

The warm pool at the aquatic centre is an absolute blessing for rehabilitation! I’m recovering from back surgery, and it has been a game-changer for my recovery. The water temperature is perfect, the atmosphere is calming, and it allows me to move and exercise without pain. What a great idea – God bless whoever decided to build such a pool! It truly makes a difference in people’s lives. Thank you 🙏🏽

PBAC has truly raised the bar with its amazing new facilities. The indoor heated pool is a standout feature—perfectly maintained and ideal for year-round use. What makes the experience even better is the thoughtful addition of air heaters around the pool area, keeping the surrounding air warm and comfortable. This creates a cozy and inviting environment for my kids, especially during cooler months. Whether you're there for fitness, relaxation, or family fun, the upgraded amenities make every visit enjoyable. The attention to detail in both water and air temperature control shows a real commitment to comfort and quality. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-tier aquatic experience!

The facilities are great. But you can’t use it properly. I went for a training session: 5 min later, “you cannot do starts here” … I said “ok” 10 min later, “you cannot use parachutes (basically 80% of my session)… I said “ok” 15 min later, “you cannot record yourself on your phone to see your technique”… I gave up. Location is amazing, I would give that a 5 star! However the room we stayed in (1374) was shocking! I gave it a 1 star because the views and size of the place was great, otherwise I would be giving a zero if I could. We booked through holiday paradise and have had nothing but problems. Ok, Where do I start: Checked in day 1 (monday) and aircon wasn't working properly and NO internet. Someone came out twice to try and fix it over the next 2 days with no luck. Aircon eventually worked on its own. The place was filthy! See all the photos attached. The dust build up was honestly like they have never cleaned for about a year or so. The laundry was the worst in cleanliness. The hook and behind the door I'm assuming has never been cleaned. (See pics) The main bathroom fan does NOT work and there are no windows. The window seals in the bathroom have gaps so with the very strong winds we had this week all we heard was loud constant whistling sounds (i have videos but wont let me attach them) Trying to sleep with that sound is impossible The second main bedroom window also has a gap or no seal so the curtains kept getting sucked in with the wind causing loud and disruptive bangs/noises. The master bedroom ensuite door is broken and takes alot of effort to open and close. The kitchen was filthy and the oven we didn't dare to use. The doonas in the room had stains that looked like makeup or something. I was too scared to inspect the rest. We attempted to vacuum ourselves but the vacuum cleaner is quite old and kept letting out off smells so we stopped using it Unfortunately the place could be so amazing but the damaged and old furniture used here is just disappointing. Photos are very deceiving on their booking system. If you stay here, make sure you book with someone who can actually fix the issues for you.

Stayed here for 2 weeks in Feb/March 2023. Overall it was a nice place to stay and we had amazing views from our ocean facing apartment on the 33rd floor of the south building. Had a couple of little issues I didn't like such as the bin in the kitchen cupboard having mould in it and the handle on the bathroom door was ridiculously huge with sharp edges that caused both my wife and I some nasty bruises from bumping it. Another thing we were most unhappy with was the main pool being closed. The pools were one of the things that attracted us to book at Circle on Cavill but there was no mention of the fact that it was closed when I booked and took be honest, as much as I liked the apartment if I had have known the main pool was closed I would have thought twice about staying here. Also, we were told the room would be serviced on the 23rd after we'd been there a week. They did come to service the room but I asked them to just leave some clean sheets and we'd make the bed later that evening if they could come back and get the dirty sheets. They left the sheets but when we went to make the bed we found out they'd left single sheets instead of queen sized so we ended up washing and drying the sheets we'd stripped off. They never did come to collect the pile of sheets and I couldn't find any info on who or how to contact housekeeping so the pile of sheets and old pillowcases sat on one of the single beds for the duration of our stay. Check in was also unnecessarily complicated in that the office is on the 1st floor of another building, the Chevron, so after dragging the luggage there you then have a 150-200m walk to CoC. Don't see why they couldn't have their check-in in the actual hotel complex. I also didn't like that they wanted me to do this review while I was in their office checking out. I told them that yes, I may be 60 but I do know how to review on google and no, I don't want to do it in front of you, I'll do it when I'm ready thank you. Still, we really enjoyed our stay here and would stay again but only if the main pool was open.

THE ELEVATORS ARE SO STUPID. I’m not one for bad reviews usually, but the elevators are horrible. There are 6 elevators 3 for levels 1-43 and 3 for levels 44-68. So everyone from levels 1-43 has to wait for the elevator to go up and down for so long. Usually that wouldn’t be so bad but the problem is 2 out of 3 of the elevators weren’t working. 1 was turned off, 1 didn’t allow access to floors 1-28. When my family went of that elevator, we got stuck until we went all the way to floor 41 and then back down. We complained to the hotel workers and they said they knew about the problem, they just didn’t tell us. Usually you have to wait at least 10 minutes just to have access to an elevator, only to find it extremely cramped and impossible to get in. The rooms are also really dirty, such as there is hair in places. On the photos of the room it looks likes there are two rooms. But one of the rooms are actually just in the doorway without any doors, it isn’t even an actual room. The pool and facilities are good, apart from the arcade, many things at are broken or do not work, the machines take our money but malfunctions and does not allow us to play the game. The gym is very accessible, there is also a private cinema that you can book. Overall it was a bit disappointing, don’t think we will be coming back to this hotel.

We had a 2 night stay here at the circle of cavil. Getting here was abit hard to find but they are on the main street of ferny .We had turnt down the side street (not recommended) check in was a little hard to find. But the communication from the staff was great, they sent us little reminders leading upto our stay which was so helpful. Check in was very fast took about 8min. We were given a room on the north side level 19. The carpark is very hidden so as you enter the car park turn left and there will be a black gate on the left and a scanning box on the right, parking is also tight so be warned. I am absolutely happy with my room it was exactly what I had ecspected. We had an extra 2 single beds to our room even though we had a 2person room but was happy they had this included.Facilities were clean and tidy , my favourite was the spa bath. Loved how they had a washing machine and dryer. The location was perfect with a Woolworth on ground floor, its central to town and we had a very pleasant stay. Just a heads up if you want to use the cinema room book in advance and you would see the front desk about it. Otherwise overall I would highly recommend and yes I would definitely book through them again

This place is very convenient. The staff that work at the building are friendly and helpful that includes the security guards and the utilities people. The people that live in the Towers are generally very friendly and courteous. It’s very convenient to have the Woolworths downstairs and all the restaurants. The parking is a little strange but it’s okay once you get used to it the noise from the white Rino is a little bit annoying at times.

Mudgeeraba Aquatic Centre may be smaller than others, but it offers great amenities. The outdoor area includes a 6-lane heated 25m pool and a splash pad for toddlers. Indoors, there's a 10m teaching pool and wet play area for kids. Managed by Belgravia Leisure, the centre also hosts aqua aerobics classes with an enthusiastic instructor named Manu.
We had my sons birthday party at the Aquatic centre over the weekend. I just have to say how great it was. The staff were very friendly, and helpful, nothing was a problem for them. The kids had a ball here, can highly recommend choosing the Aquatic centre for your child's birthday party!!

I use a mobility scooter for all of my outings so it is vitally important that I have access to information about different places. I can’t tell you the amount of times I get caught where I can’t access a grocery aisle, a corner store, a clothing store or a chemist. Things like the size of the aisles, the doorways can all mean I can’t access them. Not to mention not being able to reach things on shelves. My partner is also my carer and so when I heard about Cérge we had a chat and decided to see what all the fuss was about. I don’t like to make a bother for people, I just want to be able to access the places I need and want to enjoy my life. Seeing Mudgereeba Aquatic Centre on the Cérge website was great, so close to me and a place I wanted to visit for hydrotherapy. My partner and I sat and looked through the Visual Story and Access Guide to make sure I was, 1. Find suitable parking 2. Able to get inside from the carpark 3. Get in the doorway 4. Have somewhere I can get changed 5. Get into the pool 6. Water at a temp that is ok for my hydrotherapy 7. Enjoy myself with minimal anxiety After looking through the tools I felt happy and equipped with the information to be able to attend. Abby was the staff member who greeted me when I arrived and she was so welcoming and helpful. She was a breath of fresh air and had the whole situation under control and we felt very at ease. I use pool noodles and enjoyed such a great swim. You need to take your own equipment to the pool which is pretty standard. We felt very accomplished and I would love to return to this pool! It’s so good for my body to move but it’s even better for the mindset! I really enjoyed myself, thank you everyone :)

Attention all gold coasters, be aware of this establishment.. the staff are uneducated and undertrained charging quests $5.50 for a shower when in fact the actual price for a shower is $3.50 with belgravia leisure centre..anybody who has been served by the curly haired young lady at reception for a shower has been overcharged..when I asked where she got the pricing from, she promptly responded with, these are the prices my boss has said..then when I brought it to her attention, she failed to see the severity of her actions..essentially that’s theft and deception. I’m curious to know how many guests that have showered their in the 5 years she has been employed, that have been overcharged the incorrect price of entry…shame on you guys.

I started attending the aqua aerobics classes a couple of months ago and it’s become a great way to start the day. I look forward to going and know it’s sure to be a fun class thanks to the lovely instructor Manu, who’s bubbly personality cheers me up each time. Her happy face, lovely smile, constant encouragement and friendly caring demeanor will keep me coming back each week, even through winter in the outdoor pool, which I’m told is fine once you get in! I would also like to mention the lovely friendly staff, clean pool and facilities.

Unbelievable, take 6 years old kid to swimming, they charge 3.5 dollars for parent waiting there. They call that spectator fee.
Kevin W — Google review
Friendly staff, clean pool & facilities. The outdoor pool is partially shaded which is great, and 25m which is good for someone like me who’s getting back into swimming :)

My child had been attending lessons for 4 years now. He has a great time. Staff are all great. I see the below review about "the old man lifeguard" and it is a shame that parents feel to need to defend their children for doing the wrong thing. He is an awesome guy and only steps in when the kids are misbehaving. If this parent supervised her own children he wouldn't have to intervene.

Upper Coomera Aquatic Centre, situated at the Upper Coomera Community Centre, offers a 25-meter heated outdoor pool and a kids' water play area, making it perfect for family enjoyment. Due to COVID restrictions, there might be wait times if the pool is at maximum capacity. The facility impresses with its cleanliness and amenities such as shade, lockers, tables, sun lounges, a cafe, and ample parking.
First visit and I was I.pressed at the cleanliness of the whole facility. Plenty of shade, lockers available, tables and sun lounges. There's a Cafe and a water fountain for the longer visit. Plenty of parking and right next door to the Coomera Library. There's a Coles right across the road if you need to grab something after.

Due to COVID restrictions be aware that you may have to wait in line at the counter if the pool is at max capacity. Tough job for the staff here. I arrived at 12 on a Saturday and waited about 15min. Had to wait for people to leave the centre for us to be allowed in. Great for a swim with my two young kids. Very popular place. 3 or 4 Life guards in attendance.

We often meet my housemates little daughter with her carers here . It's fun place for a 5 yr old in summer. Seems well maintained and clean. There's some seating for us to be comfortable watching out for the little one. Then there's the bonus of a public library being located here also....

Myself and daughter had taken my 3 grandchildren 13yrs, 9yrs, 8yrs old to the swimming pool My grandson has ADHD - no excuses Both my daughter (37yrs ) & I were watching & up & down to the 2 youngest one’s to obey the pool rules no running etc My grandson with ADHD I put in time out for running & jumping into the pool a couple of times. . We we’re about to leave and the life guard approached myself and my daughter and said are you about to leave and I replied yes. And I said why & he said I was just about to ask is to leave because of the young fella cause I had spoken to him three times. I said to the lifeguard that he has ADHD and that we have been watching him, and I even had him in timeout, and he said oh all children run around whether they got ADHD or not. .My little seven-year-old granddaughter said to the lifeguard, I was good and he responded to her, you’re welcome to come back! What the! My grandson isn’t allowed back! . We are not like other people just do nothing and not watch the children and it did upset me because we’re onto my grandson the whole time Now we have to find somewhere else to go to take the kids swimming as I don’t appreciate someone like that just single out , on one child when we had been watching all the kids the whole time we were there. I’ve seen kids over the years miss behaving way worse at other swimming pools. And I thought my grandson wasn’t that ex stream in his behaviour. the pool had hardly anyone in it at all, and this was Sunday 12/3/23 lunchtime - we were there a couple hours if that! Its not a big swimming pool a they had 4 lanes closed off for training. Mainly older people , what I saw , not many there at all!

Absolutely love this studio, the teachers & clients.

I'd been looking for a right yoga studio for ages and finally settled down at Soul Centre! There are plenty of classes to choose from and the studio is clean and well-maintained. All the instructors are absolutely fantastic and have their own charm, I would say! Some are humourous, energetic and the others are calm and soothing. I always feel so much calmer and relaxed after the class. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a studio to start a journey as a yogi! :)

We wanted everything finished before we posted this review and the pics. Unfortunately the weather played it's part again but we've managed to get the final staining and sealing done and we're thrilled with the result. We can't praise Matt, Rachael and the rest of the guys from GC Family pools enough. Right from the get go they were on top of everything. I don't think that there wasn't a day where I didn't have a question and Rachael, or one of the team, had an answer for me that night or the next morning. Even during the inevitable rain delays they kept us up to date. They absolutely run true to their motto "building up to a standard, not down to a price" We now have an amazing pool in a perfect outdoor space that was priced as promised, done by amazing workers, who did a thoroughly professional job. Thanks again for everything, it's come out pretty good hey :-)

We recently had Gold Coast Family Pools build our swimming pool and are really happy with how everything turned out. We had spoken to a few pool builders previously but as soon as we met Marty, we knew we were in safe hands. He even took the extra time to provide suggestions on how to improve the layout of our back yard. Rachael, Marty and Michelle were quick to respond to any queries we had and, whenever we had any concerns, it was always sorted out straight away with a quick phone call. Straight after the job was completed they were quick to tell us that they are available if we have any warranty or other issues with the pool, which gives us peace of mind being first time pool owners. I can’t recommend them highly enough, extremely well run family business.

We had a number of pool companies around to discuss removing our old pool and putting a new one in and we are very happy we went with GC Family Pools. From the very beginning the process was straight forward. Martin and his team are great to deal with, they kept us updated along the way, always delivered on the time line and did a fantastic job overall. Can highly recommend them and we are very happy with our new pool.

Serviced accommodation
Nestled just a short 15-minute drive along the Gold Coast Highway from Broadbeach, The Shores Surfers Paradise is a delightful homage to mid-century design. This charming destination features a stunning pool area reminiscent of Slim Aarons' iconic style and offers refreshing drinks from a retro van. Originally built as a 1970s motel, it has undergone an impressive transformation with beautifully remodeled accommodations ranging from cozy Miami Minis for couples to spacious Palm and Sunset Suites that can host up to four guests.
We have stayed at The Shores Surfers Paradise twice now in the Penthouse Apartment. As a family with young children, this is the PERFECT place to stay. The penthouse has everything you need + MORE!!! There is so much space and you can tell they have really thought of everything. Everything is extremely clean and styled beautifully. It does not feel like a hotel, it feels like a home with all your favourite things including a coffee machine and plenty of kitchen appliances with a full sized kitchen meaning you don't always need to eat out (expensive with kids!!!) The kids absolutely LOVE the pool and it makes it so easy having access to the pool from the apartment rather than having to constantly go down to a communal pool. Our whole family love the location. So close to amazing restaurants, cafes and things to do for the kids including long scooter rides and trips to the beach. We can't wait to stay again as both stays have not been long enough! The Penthouse apartment truly is the best place for a family holiday. We will be back!

Absolutely loved our stay in apartment 301. The view was spectacular and all the furnishings were immaculate. We had absolutely everything we needed in the kitchen and the bedding was the best ever. So close to beach and shops and lots of great restaurants. Highly recommend! Will definitely be back to stay again.

We stayed at The Shores for 16 nights which was a great deal via Hotels.com. The location is perfect, 2 minute walk to the beach, close enough to Surfers Paradise without being disturbed noise and people. Overall we had a really great stay, there were a few teething problems in the beginning but it wasn't really their fault and I appreciated their efforts to resolve the issues. We would definitely stay here again. Please read for more details: When we arrived, it was a bit of a rocky start as the previous guests had left the apartment in a less than desirable state so the cleaning was done a bit subpar and the previous guests had also stolen all the small appliances in the apartment. So the team were a bit unprepared for these issues but as soon as we made them aware they worked to resolve the issues and reassured us we wouldn't be liable. Throughout our stay the cleaning team provided us with whatever supply refills we needed including clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, dishwashing liquid, tea bags and coffee pods. The apartment itself was modern, nicely decorated, fully self contained and relatively well sound proofed. Our apartment was on the second floor. Things to note: - One bedroom apartments do not have ovens, only microwave and stove to cook or reheat. - They will not clean the apartment at all during the stay without you paying extra, but they do provide clean towels as requested - There is no onsite reception or team to go to if you need anything, you need to call or send an SMS to the team and they coordinate whatever you need - Access to the building is keyless, they provide you with entry codes - Covered parking is available but costs extra - The building has an elevator - There are two communal washers and two dryers available to all guests

The Shores is in a wonderful location, so easy to walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The apartment is extremely clean and newly renovated. Roomy, air conditioning, lovely balcony. Would definitely stay here again. The only criticism I would say it would be handy to have some more mirrors in maybe bedrooms ( there is only one in bathroom). Staff very helpful with bookings, and any issues. Highly recommended this property. Will definitely stay here again.

Very pleased we chose to stay at the Shores, everything from accessing the car park to entering our apartment was sent to us with trouble free instructions. We booked the rooftop penthouse which was absolutely amazing and extremely spacious. The fitout has been completed to an extremely high level which contributes to a very luxurious holiday! Location is excellent with an easy walk to the beach, shops and restaurants/bars. Will definitely be staying there again!

A beautifully appointed 2 bedroom apartment where the focus is on comfort and style. Modern facilities with convenience at the top of the list. Wonderful sea breezes and the roll of the surf to sing you to sleep through the large cascading balcony doors taking advantage of the views. Sunshine spills into the living areas to remind you how lucky you are to be just steps from surf, sun, cafes, restaurants and all the fun of Cavill Ave, Surfers Paradise. We are certain to return again and again.

Absolutely filthy. Walls are so dirty and have been sprayed with champagne or some sort of alcohol. There’s acrylic nails left behind next to the bed. The lounge is disgusting and honestly needs to be replaced. The floor was very dirty like it hadn’t even been vaccummed. The benches hadn’t been wiped and had stains I had to wipe off myself. It’s like they just changed the linen and that’s it! We contacted them multiple times and they haven’t done anything to help. The shores Miami is 100% nicer!!!

'Swimming Lagoon' is the worst possible name to give this area. If you're looking for a nice place to swim, don't come here. The water felt dirty, the sand felt and looked like it was full of oil. Most likely from the boats and the 'resort' across the way.
