So happy to find this place. Had the one with pork and shrimp and also one with chicken. One bowl costs only 20k. That is super cheap for the portion you get. Bowl contains rice noodles, peanuts, quails eggs, super tasty broth, lettuce, herbs, banana blossom. Just squeeze little bit of lime juice in it and enjoy!!! Oh and don’t forget to order grilled rice paper to add some crunch to your meal. Can’t wait to go back!
I swear you can’t trust these google recommendations or reviews. The food was sitting out in the open air at room temperature (food poisoning 101…). The tables were dirty, a rat ran across our feet in the restaurant, and the eggs tasted off. Save yourself the time.
Ordered the chicken & egg. It was OK until the 3rd bite. From then on there were small fragments of sharp, very hard bone in every bite. Really put me off this dish for a couple of days.

Excellent specializations in a focused menu, very popular with locals and tourists. Walking after a certain point might be easier as it's inside an alley. Prompt and friendly service, and the food's very quick to get to your table.
Order everything on the menu and take some home if you can't finish. Banh xeo (stuffed crepe), la lot (grilled beef, marinated with garlic and spices, with betel leaf), and grilled pork skewers (nem lui) are accompanied by rice wrappers, salad greens, pickles, chilli sauce, and an excellent sweet-ish sauce with grill drippings. I had the passion fruit juice as well. Finish up with a nice cold coffee in the neighborhood with the locals. Ahh Vietnam!

Absolutely loved the bun thit nuong and the bo nuong la lot, two of the best grilled meat dishes I've had in Vietnam, the sauce is excellent. The nem lui are nice but I've had better elsewhere. For the price this is such good value for money.

The banh xeo comes with banh trang and vegetables on the side. When you wrap them together, its very balanced. The sauce is a bit different as i was expecting nuoc mam, but their sauce paired really well with the banh xeo, and it was very delicious. Very crispy and refreshing!
The restaurant is easy to find, but very busy. We came around 8pm. Finding a seat takes time but they do their best to seat you. Because it is so busy sometimes they forget things, such as my drink. Overall was very good to visit and their prices are reasonable for the quality.

After trying this mixed dish (a combination of thinly sliced boiled pork skin, shredded green papaya, and chopped unripe jackfruit), all that lingered on my palate was the overpowering presence of MSG. Even the addition of fish sauce failed to salvage the flavour of it. It dissapointingly lacks the rich blend of salty, sweet, sour, and spicy flavours that Vietnamese cuisine is known for, leaving it rather insipid.
There are a few redeeming qualities to note. They were the cheap prices and the clean food preparation area.
You will also find a stall selling banh mi stuffed with Bánh Bột Lọc (Vietnamese clear dumplings) at the same premise.
According to the reviews, the price was 20,000 dong, but I paid 30,000 dong. It's not a matter of money, but this is the third time I've been overcharged as a foreigner in a Da Nang local restaurant. Honestly, I'm not happy about it. The taste was salty and not good.
This is the only restaurant that I know specialized in salad.

Our first day back in Da Nang - my husband wanted to have some banh canh and found this place. The broth is nice with a good crab flavor. Overall, the dish and drinks were wonderful. It is a tad bit pricier but it was good!
The bowl of Banh Canh Ghe is great and savoury! The broth is vastly different from pho and recommended for people who wishes to try something other than pho.
The fried dough stick complements the broth by dipping in it before eating. The snail stuffed w pork is also not as scary/exotic as others think! The taste profile is mainly just pork, and it goes well with the accompanying sauce.
We came in as a party of 5 and 1 of us found a big freaking fly in our bowl. Even after noticing the staff, they tried to ignore us and didn't even apologize.
We only got the refund for the 1 bowl after approaching the owner, even though that fly must have been in the same pot that contaminated all the guests' food.
The food was also nothing special aside from that. Consider saving yourself from the fly soup.
It actually has tapioca noodles and crab meat. It's not bad if youre craving banh canh cua. The passionfruit drink is really good but there's not much in it... making it expensive. I had a LOT of bones in my soup so be careful.

The stock is rich and flavourful and the fishcake is wonderfully textured and tasty. Cheap and good comfort food. Lady chef is so friendly, but the server speaks no English and there is no English menu. But the good thing is that the menu is rather small.

We loved the bun cha ca (pictured with noodles) with all the meats. It was delicious. We also had a bowl of crab balls (also pictured) and it was fantastic as well.
Impressive bun cha ca... starting with the stock, which has complexity and depth with great seafood flavor... then add fresh ingredients and fish cakes with a perfect texture. Sure, service and decor weren't great, but all was forgiven when I got into that outstanding bowl of soup.
We must patronized this shop each time visit Da Nang. It is not to miss super delicious fish cake noodle. Taste the flavourful broth and you will agree with me instantly. Moreover, the price is good for the sincere offered size of meal.

It's a very local spot that has been open for nearly 40 years. Their Bánh Xèo is crispy and delicious. The peanut sauce here suits me better than at other places, but I prefer to eat it with their "nước mắm" (fish sauce), which they make very well. The young lady who served my table couldn't have been sweeter or more helpful. The BBQ pork has a nice flavor as well. I love the homey vibe.

This place is tucked away in an alley. But, google map was accurate that it wasn’t hard to find it. The restaurant had roughly 8ish tables, so if you’re visiting there during peak time, there may be some waiting.
I had BÁNH XÈO THẬP CẨM and BÚN THỊT NƯỚNG. The portion was very generous that my company and I couldn’t finish it. The foods were sweet in general, but the salad adds some freshness. However, if you’re not big fan of some herbs, be aware that it’s included in the salad.
I had the betel leaf beef and the mixed banh xeo. It was scrumptious. I actually could have just only ordered banh xeo and still been full. Now I’m very very full. It feels like your mum cooked for you. It’s delicious and yet so simple.
I was a bit unsure what was the polite way to eat it, and she even rolled one for me to show me the proportions. So sweet.

The best banh xeo I've eaten in Vietnam. Don't let the narrow alley it's on put you off. The food, service and the family that run it are top notch. The banh xeo is crisp, freshly cooked, and if you choose the thap cam option, studded with prawn and meat. The restaurant was very clean with auntie continually cleaning the tables. Highly recommend.

Very underrated Pho Bo restaurant here in Da Nang. I tried a couple of Pho Bo’s all over Vietnam and this here is a great restaurant too. Firstly the taste is good, they give you also lots of salat, soy bean sprouts - and there are spicy sauces available and on request, you can also get some bread (which is tasty btw). You can choose between a small or a big bowl.
The service was quick and friendly, the owner had a chat with us and all in all it’s a very nice place to hang out. It’s not just a restaurant it’s a place where you feel welcomed. Try and find out by yourself 👍
Delicious beef pho taste, altought it on the peppery and greeny side, but really nice. Portions are not big tho, more like medium size, and it comes with loads of greens as well as sprouts and all the possible sauces on a side. Pretty easy to find and you'll have the chance to cross the bridge if you live on the seaside. Hidden gem serving Southern Vietnamese Pho in the heart of Da Nang. Superbly flavoured soup and noodles with the beef (Tai) that I selected and which came with a huge basket of fresh herbs and lettuce. There's the obligatory jar of chilli jam with wedges of fresh limes and a bowl of bean shoots.
Taste good. A little sweet so i add a little lime juice to balance the taste. I can really taste the stock.

I ordered the Crispy Pork Roll for 75k. I enjoyed the crispy skin and huge assortment of veggies. However not sure its worth it. When it comes to rolls, I prefer Banh Xeo or even Nem Nuong. Either way was worth trying out.

I had 2 types of soup noodle bowls here for lunch. It was just ok and I feel there are many better similar food in this city. The fish cake was good, but the broth and fish itself was not that good. The tuna in my bowl was very dry and not so tasty. It seems like a popular spot somehow though.

On another note, if you like the Vietnamese chicken for their chewiness then this place has the meatier, softer, factory chicken kind, not the running Viet chicken. Good portion of chicken pieces too.

This place is top notch. No doubt, one of the best Oc restaurants in Vietnam. It’s got a wide variety of dishes to choose from. Seating is plentiful, the staff is very friendly, service is very fast. I'm not sure I'd recommend it to any Westerners that aren't used to jelly and coconut based desserts, though. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will happily eat there again.

Introduced by locals to this unique coconut jelly. Apparently they swore that the best is served here. Not too convinced by the rating of 3.7 on Google though. But I was wrong. The combo of sweet jelly, salty coconut milk soup and ice made this a perfect post dinner dessert. Jelly was well made, not too hard or crumble-in-your-mouth soft. It made for a wonderful mouthfeel. Will definitely return for more.

This spot is next door to a hotel I stayed at. I knew it was good because of the amount of locals that were dining. The lady owned business was bustling with people… but it was the smoky aroma that filled the air which really pulled me in. You pay for meat by the stick, and for 8k a stick you are really getting an amazing deal. We sat slightly puzzled by the rice paper, when a local recognized our confusion they helped us learn how to eat the food properly. So sweet! The owners mom also came and made sure we knew how to dine on this locals favorite. We came two days in a row because it’s thaaat good! Check them out while you’re in town! Based on the business card there should be two locations ;)
Got told about this place from a local friend and by god was it good. The skewers you buy individually and I’m not sure what they put on them, but it was beautiful, could be the charcoal oven sending beautiful smoky aromas out into the dining room and onto the street.

Originally stumbled upon this place through Grab app. I ordered the Tofu w/ coconut milk, yogurt purple rice, flan, and a coconut jello. All were good but my favorite was the tofu coconut milk! I ordered it on Grab for the next 3 days. Last night was my first time going to the actual shop to eat it there.
It is at a hidden corner and hard to notice if you’re passing by in a car, but I definitely think it’s better than Che Lien which is at every corner. The coconut milk here is the perfect sweetness and lightness. They have shaved ice which is a bonus. I dislike places that serve you Che with ice cubes.
Extremely affordable prices. 10/10 for their tofu coconut milk. Yogurt purple rice was also a top choice for me.

This is my favorite chè franchise in Da Nang. They have the largest selection of different coconut, tofu, or yoghurt dishes of all the other multi-outlet shops. It has far more choices than Che Lien, and while I will go to other che shops for different reasons (like if I want chè chuối), this remains my favorite of the big shops.

The pho is 70k dong, which is not outrageous for the environment that your in, meaning inside a restaurant that’s updated. I have been paying 50k for pho sitting on the side of the road with a dirt floor. I would also say the portion u get is more as well. The service was prompt, maybe cause I was the only one in there at the time but still it was good service. I also had an cold coconut with my meal, which was also satisfying.

Pho is not too bad, but attitude of the waiters and waitresses getting more a bit arrogant as the restaurant grows (not sure if it is because of their growth or because I brought my countryside parents here and they judge how the hardworking countryside people look). Highly recommend Khanh Ngan Tailor upstairs of the Han Market if you can’t get to Hoi An. I got a linen jumpsuit made, there were 3 people taking my measurements and brainstorming. You can tell the tailor is very experienced, the two other ladies helping spoke good English and were able to give me suggestions and they were clear on how much material is required if I want a certain look. Picked up the jumpsuit 2 days later, tried it on with no adjustments needed - super stoked. Would have got more items made if we have more time in Da Nang. There are no private changing rooms, with narrow walkways, so be prepared to try on your outfit publicly. Only cash is accepted though. PS - you need to pay $10k to use the public toilet.

Also, in some sections, especially in the food area (like durian and dried fish), the smell is quite strong and can be unpleasant. Can't recommend the noodle since the soup was not hot. The shrimp was disappointing. Jelly fish, this is the first time I had jellyfish. Texture and flavour wise was not my thing either. Ram Cuon Cai is good. Fried spring roll put on rice paper with cucumber, young mango, some leaves, and dip in sweet and spicy sauce.
Delicious Mi Quang noodles that are clearly a hit with locals - a sure sign the food is good. Street parking is available, though the place can get busy, adding to its lively atmosphere.
I ate mi thit tom(shrim beef noodle) which is not bad. But i ate mi quang with yello noodle so it was not awesome for me^^ my friend recommend me to eat here. Basically foods are yummy, i paid 25,000vnd for one food. But i thinm hoi an mi quang is more delicious than here^^

Saw this place being recommended by some social media persons, so came to try. Went to eat late lunch at about 4pm, and there was only 1 other group of customer finishing up. The place was dim as the lights were not turned on. Cleanliness was quite poor with a number of flies. Other tables had uncleared dishes, but the staff after serving us just continued her own work instead of clearing up (not sure why). Seats had dust and spider web looking stuff stuck inbetween... A little taken aback by the first impression of this rather highly recommended place.
Staff cant really communicate in English, but its ok, we pointed to the chicken Mi Quang and fried spring roll to order. She brought out this additional big round cracker and a basket of vegetables, which usually is to complement their noodle dishes, but looks like we were charged for it...
The Mi Quang broth was actually pretty good, very tasty. Somehow tasted like a beef broth. But the meat seemed to be 2-3 pieces of chicken, and the rest seemed to be just bones which i feel might just be the beef bones from the broth...

I’ve been multiple times for both takeaway and dine-in (dine-in only in the evening as there’s no AC), and every visit has been amazing. The food is consistently delicious, we’ve had the pho, spring rolls, and my personal favourite: the fried rice with chicken wings in fish sauce. So, so good 🤤
What makes it even more special is the service. 🥰 The owner recognised me after just one visit and even asked my partner where I was when he went without me — such a sweet and personal touch 🥹 You can really feel the care here. A true hidden gem that keeps us coming back! 💖

The fried rice with chicken was really good! The staff very kindly modified our order to add extra chicken at a fair price, and we were also given free Pho broth which was delicious. Very friendly place with great food. There are also lots of fans inside so it doesn’t get too hot.
I recently visited pho Co restaurant, and I can confidently say it’s the best bowl of pho I’ve ever had—hands down surpassing any other place I’ve tried before. The broth was incredibly rich and aromatic, striking a perfect balance of savory beefy goodness with subtle hints of star anise and cinnamon that lingered on the palate. Unlike other spots where the broth can feel watery or overly salty, this one was clearly simmered to perfection, likely for hours, giving it a depth of flavor that’s hard to beat.
The noodles were fresh, perfectly cooked, and had just the right amount of chewiness, while the beef slices were tender and practically melted in my mouth. Regional specialties made with rice and tapioca flours. On one plate I had Banh Beo, Banh Uot, and Banh Ram It, and in another I had the Banh Bot Loc with shrimp and pork filling and cooked in banana leaves. Minimum order for the latter was 10 pieces but it was so tasty I finished them all.
Must try their local traditional street which all made by sticky rice and rice powder.

Banh Nam and Banh Loc has been the most delicious thing ive eaten in Da Nang so far, every dish in any local or foreigner style restaurant was such a disappointment. It was so nice to finally taste something more authentic, balanced and delicious. Staff were pleasant, nice local atmosphere. Banh Nam is like a Cantonese Cheong Fun, except its not rolled and just steamed with mince meat inside. I liked the chewy sweet shrimp in the Banh Loc, it was delicious. Im definitely coming back for more and trying the Banh Beo next time.

It was an okay experience. The locals recommended this place when I asked where to get Bánh Bèo and it was disappointing. The rice cake was too thick and the dried blended shrimp topping lacked flavour. The nem was sour and smelled like alcohol and I had to spit it out. Went around 10.30pm on a Tuesday night and it was fairly crowded but we got seats. Ordered the VND 20K dessert without durian for myself. Collection is done at the back kitchen after payment is made at the order counter. Taste refreshing and is popular amongst the locals.
Chè Thai as you would expect it flavor wise. It's pretty decent though I was pretty surprised the Chè Thai was prepackaged! I mean, at least it hasn't been sitting in the heat all day like the street-cart stuff (that's always a gamble yo!) Pretty packed, lots of locals enjoying all their treats. I love durian but didn't order any, but my mom sure did, and she found it pretty decent as well.
Update 31 Jul 2025: Coming back here two years later and it's still great.
Che is good especially when you're thirsty or tired. If you cannot eat durian, you can choose Che Thai with no durian and the price is less than with durian (20k vs 25k)

Pork was sliced so thin that you couldn’t actually taste it in the wrap as the other flavours are very overpowering. But on a positive note the beer was nice and cold. the original đại lộc is one of my go-to places, and I often bring my friends here. the restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly and attentive. the food is delicious, and even celebrities come to eat here. however, this time, we only realized near the end of our meal that the staff forgot to bring the plate of pickled vegetables and mango. hopefully, they will pay more attention next time for a better experience.

Honestly, I’ve never seen a place where everything is as terrible as this one. The staff didn’t want to serve, looked lifeless. The mì Quảng was cold, just chicken and egg, bland, full of grease. Dishes were incomplete. Asked for bún mắm, they said only boiled pork was available. The mì Quảng had no shrimp, no peanuts. They brought out three bowls that were as cold as old snail noodles—should be renamed “cold mì Quảng.” I had to remind them to bring vegetables, ask for fish sauce, and it took 10 minutes to come. When I asked for a drink, the staff ignored me.
Asked where the owner was, and the staff asked why. I said, "Is your restaurant open but you don’t actually want to serve people?" Staff replied they were short-staffed. But at that time there were only my family of 3 and one young couple dining. The staff just stood around aimlessly. I said, if you're short-staffed, put up a sign saying “Short on staff, we’re not really serving.” That would be more respectful.
Selling food without heart, with poor-quality dishes and reluctant service—why bother selling at all? When it came time to pay, I said, “Can I pay now?”—nobody came. I had to say, “Don’t you want my money?” before someone finally came to take payment.
If you want to serve customers, do it with heart. People are paying to eat, not begging for charity. Even charity services treat people better than this. If you’re going to act like this, just stay home. Don’t open a restaurant that ruins people’s travel mood and experience.
And if you’re just running this place for fun, please post a sign: “Sorry, this place is open for fun only. We’re not actually serving or welcoming guests. Please don’t come in the future.”

We just stumbled upon this clean-looking (in contrast to many others) eatery on our way to the Vietnamese silk stores. The food served was good especially considering its very reasonable price. Staff speak little English but they did their best to accommodate us and they were very friendly!
One of the best tasting and cooked Bo Ne I've had in Vietnam. The meatball was delicious! The home made chilli jam was so smokey it's addictive. Highly recommend.

Delicious spot for breakfast at an extremely reasonable price. The hot plate was sizzling hot, beef was tender and egg was nice and runny. Everything was packed with flavour and accompanied with a bowl of soup and a “crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside” Banh mi.
Food was bit "meh" compared to HCM Bò Né Thanh Tuyền. Service was fantastic but the sizzling plate was very average (maybe not enough sauce? Not really sure but HCM Bo Ne was very memorable).

It’s like the comforting fish cake broth from a highway rest stop, but with rice noodles and a few fish cakes on top. You can choose toppings like tuna or mackerel and customize it with a variety of seasonings. Exceptionally good.
Fulfilled every expectation I had for a local place - the food was refreshingly different from other noodle soups around Vietnam, the addition of squash was a hit for me. The place itself is what one should expect from a Vietnamese food place - busy yet organized, practical yet memorable.
We just simply walk in a shop which have a lot of local people inside and up to our expectations the food is nice! Popular among local people. The mackerel fish is so fresh and tasty. Overall we like it here.

Nothing tastes more like Danang than bun cha ca, and Ba Phien is an excellent example of this iconic soup. The clean, delicious broth holds thin rice noodles and chucks of various fish cakes. Traditional accompaniments include a plate of fresh vegetables & herbs, spicy chilies, tangy onions & carrots, and salty fish sauce. All this for less than $2 usd!
We came across this shop and it seemed to be packed with locals, so we decided to give it a try. The bun cha ca was very joyful to eat. We would definitely recommend this to travellers to try.

This place was tucked away almost not visible unless you’re looking for it. We walked in and were seated immediately. The covered area was hotter than outside because of the lighting so we moved outside.
Service felt unwelcoming, even though we were the first there we were served after other guests and got our food last. I wouldn’t expect this from a restaurant on the Michelin guide. The space felt cozy and themed in a nostalgic way which could be really nice if the service was more customer friendly.
They serve a delicious, spicy, and flavorful Bun Bo Ba that consisted of a rich umami flavored broth with some aromatic lemon grass, beef bones, shrimp paste, and a hint of chili. We went all out with the additional sides they provided including chili paste, pickled shallots, chili and carrots. We didn't forget the vegetables that added a touch of mint and lime to top it all off.
For foreigners concerned of safety, they serve drinks with large purified cylindrical ice cubes and we were completely safe. Highly recommend as this is also a Michelin Guide.
This spot is visually appealing; the restaurant itself is really cute and welcoming.
What I really liked about the Bún Bò here is that it includes beef tongue—a great addition that makes the dish stand out! Also, the pork knuckle (giò heo) is pre-sliced, which makes it incredibly easy and convenient to eat.
For me personally, the overall flavor of the Bún Bò was just okay, but my Korean friend absolutely loved it.
In fact, she said it was the best Vietnamese dish she had eaten during her entire trip. Based on her reaction, this place is a huge hit for first-time visitors to Vietnam!

I loved the decor! It is another place in time for Hỏi An so I'm certain this is where they owners are from! I loved the painting of the Japanese Bridge and the farmlands as well as the beautiful straw hats.
The older gentleman and his wife were very sweet and kind! The son made our crepes. I am even going as far as saying that I truly believe the Nem Lụi (ground meat skewers taste better than tue other place!
Overall, we will definitely come back here! Their Grilled Meat Skewers looked so good that we had to order some to go to taste! Since they made the ground meat taste better than tue other place, surely their grilled meat will be just as wonderful!
The meat was just right, the smokiness and sweet, salty and lemongrass was all just perfect! The flavors were just wonderful - perfect blend of flavors! I guess it love it because it is how they make it in the south!

My husband and ordered Banh Xeo, Nem Lụi, and 2 drinks at the restaurant and then we ordered another Banh Xeo, Nem Lụi, and added 2 additional Bun Thit Nuong plates along with another side order of the Thit Nuong to go, and all of that came to 490,000 vnđ. $19.11 total - nothing like the supposed amount she gave! What a sad excuse of lies...I even took a photo at home to prove it. Basically we will have almost 3 meals from this so I have no idea why Kelly was so mean spirited to try to lie like that.

I've been in Vietnam for years and never had such a good banh xeo as I've had here! I also tried the bun thit nuong and it was amazing.
If you don't like fish sauce it's no problem, because they serve a bowl of thick peanut sauce with ground meat with the banh xeo, and this also tastes amazing on noodles.
The owners are friendly and it feels like a cozy homely setting. Support small family businesses!

Cao lầu has become one of my top Vietnamese dishes, my friend has even said it has become his most favourite dish. The flavour of the broth is top notch. I strongly recommend it and each bowl is just 30k (check the images). Overall, we will be coming back for more even though it's far from where we live (it's worth it, haha).
