I loved the food and the coffee (cortado with soy milk). My family who are US bagel aficionados said that bagels are better in the US. Since I can’t eat bagels in the USA because I’m gluten free there but I can eat gluten in Europe as food quality is better, I really enjoyed my bagel with peanut butter, banana and speculoos crumbles. Oh and the desserts were amazing!!! The people are super friendly and the atmosphere is charming. Definitely would come back.
Delicious Bagels and they are able to offer gluten free Bagels which were delicious! Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. We ate here twice during our visit to Bruges. Would highly recommend for breakfast / lunch!
I tried the Rudolf bagel, but it wasn’t really to my taste — the flavors didn’t quite come together for me. The place could be a bit cleaner, and I was also a bit surprised that my Rudolf bagel and an Americano came to €22, since the menu listed them for around €11 and €5.
On a positive note, I really liked the soap with the scrub in the restroom — could you please tell me what brand it was?

They serve really good coffee and fun tea options but the star of the menu are definitely the gigantic bagels with unique flavours - I had mine with apples, honey, spicy chicken and cheese 🫶

I visited the restaurant "Ustata" and was extremely impressed! The service was outstanding – the staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The prices are very affordable, making it a great choice for any occasion. One of the best pastas I've ever had. I really loved the Bocca and four cheeses. The price is amazingly cheap compared to the quality and other restaurants in the area. I went there for two days continuously. You can dine there as well on a long nice table. The food is also ready in just minutes.

Nestled conveniently between two bustling shopping streets, Kaffee Kamiel is a delightful new addition to the breakfast, brunch, and lunch scene. This spacious venue not only accommodates larger groups but also features a charming outdoor terrace within the Zilverpand shopping gallery—perfect for enjoying your meal in peace away from city traffic. The menu is thoughtfully crafted with an array of healthy options, including plenty of vegetarian and vegan dishes.
A really beautiful, welcoming restaurant, friendly staff with a great menu and the most delicious food. As a family of 5, it was really nice to stumble across this really welcoming restaurant that caters to all ages. They have a well thought out, extensive menu with something for everyone. Each of us ordered something different, and they were all delicious. I had the apple pancakes with cinnamon and mascarpone, and it was 10/10.
Coffee is also really good. Staff are particularly nice and very helpful towards families with small children.

Visited for brunch on the 30th of July 2025 - a brilliant experience!
The service was warm, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. We sat outside with our dog, and the staff kindly brought out a bowl of water for him without us even asking.
The food was outstanding. I ordered the special salty French toast (€15), and it was honestly perfect. It struck a beautiful balance between sweet and savory, topped with a perfectly poached egg and a rich, flavorful hollandaise sauce. Every bite was a delight.
The only small drawback was my cappuccino, the milk foam was a bit too airy and bubbly for my taste. With a smoother texture, it would’ve matched the high quality of everything else.
Overall, a fantastic spot for brunch, and I’d happily return!
A wonderfully delicious breakfast and brunch restaurant near the center of Bruges. The menu focuses on fresh ingredients and was far more inventive than some of the other restaurants we visited during our week in the city. The service was efficient and friendly and most servers spoke a multitude of languages and were able to help and communicate with different guests. The coffee and matcha drinks were very good but the real star of the menu was their hollandaise sauce. Silky and smooth and with a perfect consistency and flavor. Would definitely recommend this to other travelers.
We LOVED this place, beautiful (like REALLY beautiful!) atmosphere, attentive and kind service, and wonderful food and coffee. They have thought about all the details here and really gotten it perfect. Thus was our favorite meal in 4 days in Bruges, we’re so glad we found it!

Great place to have a drink, snack or/and a proper meal. Not once have I had anything bad here. Menu switches up per season, but the quality is consistent. Lovely staff, in particular the guy with short curly hair that manages to sprint across tables and serve many people at once & the woman with the ponytail who will always serve with a smile. Slight variation of the Belgian waffle by putting it on a stick. Made fresh and you have the choice of what type of chocolate-milk, white or dark covered and your choice from several toppings. Cost is 5.50 euro. Depending on time of day, there can be a line but moves quickly. Not a bad alternative to the traditional waffle options.
The service was amazing, can I know your name Louise was so nice and friendly, once you enter to the shop she smiles at you . And the waffles are amazing as well, you can choose your toppings and the type of chocolate, plus they was an option for lactose free and gluten free that for me was a must due to you don’t find that everywhere

Unique take on the Belgian waffle. Good selection of toppings and it's nice to be able to see them make your waffle in front of you. It was just missing a little fork/spoon to be able to eat the toppings etc that fall off the waffle.

I visited for dinner at 6:30 PM, while the live music was scheduled to start at 8:30 PM. The beverage selection was excellent—I enjoyed three different Belgian beers, with La Chouffe being the standout. My wife opted for champagne and a well-balanced Sauvignon Blanc.
For appetizers, we tried the mushroom toast and cheese croquettes. The mushroom toast had good flavor, but I believe it would have been better served on higher-quality bread rather than standard sandwich bread. The cheese croquettes were enjoyable, though they had a slightly pre-made texture.
For the main course, I had the sole, which was outstanding—the best dish of the evening. It was so good that I completely forgot to take a photo!
Overall, the food was honest and well-prepared, and the drink selection was excellent. Although we left before the live music due to other commitments, the ambiance was a highlight. I particularly appreciated the retro decor and high ceilings, which added to the venue’s charm. Service was attentive and efficient.
I would certainly recommend this place and would consider returning, perhaps next time to enjoy the live music!

I visited this restaurant 10 years ago and had a fantastic experience, which led me to book again, particularly because the website advertised live music on Friday evenings featuring local artists. Unfortunately, upon arrival, there was no live music, and the atmosphere was quite lackluster. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we were seated between two other tables, creating a cramped dining experience. Interestingly, the couple seated next to us mentioned they had also booked expecting live music.
The food was mediocre. We ordered the beef stew, which had good quality meat but was served lukewarm.
Overall, it was a disappointing evening. While I understand the experience might differ during peak season, the website's promotion of live music was misleading and left us dissatisfied.

We visited Zwart Huis during our trip to Bruges, and it turned out to be one of the highlights! The atmosphere is truly special — dim lighting, live jazz (or great music), and a stylish interior in a beautiful historic building. The food was outstanding: the meat was cooked perfectly, and gave a great insight into Belgian cuisine. The service was super friendly and attentive without being intrusive, but also very welcoming and cosy, as if you were visiting old friends. A perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a dreamy evening with friends over wine. Would absolutely come back! ❤️
We came here for dinner and ordered a Caesar salad and goat's cheese salad. The goat's cheese salad was absolutely beautiful, probably one of the best I've had. The staff were extremely friendly and made us feel at home which was great.

Lovely restaurant with a little bar area. Great service, excellent food! Beware large portions! We had a starter and a main each but probably should have had a starter to share, as 3 out of 4 of us couldn't finish our main even though it was delicious! Croquettes & Belgian stew were fantastic! Beautiful looking interior with dual level, open fire on the top level and stunning lighting, jazz instruments decorate the walls and complement the jazz music being played.
Delicious food it took a while for us to get our food but it was worth the wait. We seem to have been maybe forgotten? The décor is fantastic the fireplace adds so much to the ambiance of the whole place. One derful music playing kept the place lively, very crowded when we were there as they told us it is like that all the time!

Cozy place with a great soup concept. I visited Soup in October 2025. The weather was cold and windy and I was in the mood for something warm. Found this tiny place at a peaceful corner on one of the side streets leading up to the bustling market square. It was such a gem! They serve a soup menu including half a panini and an apple. It’s a very small establishment, a type that I was so happy to stumble upon and support.
Really tasty soup, I ordered the tomato one and the service was a bit slow, but the waitress was friendly and the portion was perfect. I don't recommend the sandwich thou it's a bit bland

By the way, the check includes, in addition to the price from the menu, some tax. That is, the prices are completely different from the menu. And yes, flies fly over the food in the kitchen, so check before ordering.

I had eaten a waffle while we were walking around so wasn't hungry, but my wife wanted soup and had the mushroom soup of the day. It was outstanding! We sat outside and enjoyed the time between light rain showers. Nice place and nice people here. If you want a good bowl or cup of soup, stop by this place.
It was a rainy, chilly Sunday in Brugge - perfect for a hot bowl of soup. With mouths watering from the wonderful reviews, we trudged over damp cobblestones to the front door - the one with the sign that said "open Sundays 11:30 to 15:30" - and the other sign that said "Closed."
No soup for us. One star for Soup.

I've never left a review for a restaurant without eating there but a restaurant denying customers the possibility to eat because the customer wants to only eat dessert and not a full meal is quite absurd. The way the bald man rejected us was disgraceful. Simply based on the obnoxious nature of this bald gentleman gives this restaurant 0 stars across the board. If you like a good insult with your (potentially good i don't know???) food come here. They absolutely ruined our last night in Brugge, as we walked 20 minutes across town to get here past lots of places, which had since closed upon returning, and yes - would have served us JUST dessert.
Excellent casual dining experience with quality food. Very nice evening experience and comfortable environment. We did have our Concierge make a reservation as it is a small intimate place.

My husband and I had our Xmas eve dinner here. It’s a prefix. Every dish was delicious. My favorite was the soup and smoked salmon appetizer. The risotto and baked venison were tasty as well. I love the lemon curd in the dessert. Strong citrusy taste with a hint of bitterness from the zest balances the mousse well. The paired wines were amazing. My husband was impressed with the Rioja.

If you're really hungry and have quite a big stomach, menu set is the good choice. They served 1 compliment snack, 1 bite, 1 starter, 1 main, and 1 dessert.
For me, snack, bite, and starter are okay but not great, similar to any restaurants you can find. The dessert is quite good. But I am highly recommend the main dish, I had 'Catch of the day', the dish is great but without the menu set price, the dish alone might be abit too expensive.
Fantastic food and good service. They offered fresh bread and fried carrots to start, we ordered salmon and rabbit, and had a bottle of wine. The bread was cut at the front of the restaurant but then placed in a paper bag which was a bit random. The fried carrots were surprising and delicious. Salmon was cooked to perfection and had a unique smoky flavour. Rabbit was tender and flavourful. For desert we made the mistake of ordering the tiramisu which can only be described as bizarre. Overall would love to come back.

I gave only 4 stars because the food was excelent but the mango sticky rice was far from the original receipe. That crazy good souce was like non existent. Too bad. I was looking forward to eat that delicious desert. The rest was very rich and full of meat. Nothing to complain about. Maybe i would have liked the dish to be more seasoned. It was correct but a little bit boring. We ll come back. I hope i ll find an excellent mango sticky rice next time. The location is stunning, with good taste decorated.
This restaurant serves very good and authentic Thai food in this part of Belgium. The dishes are very tasty with the right amount of spiciness and savoury. The service is fast and friendly. The whole restaurant is pleasantly decorated with Thai artifacts. It is a place that we would want to come back again. Highly recommendable.
What a long wait. We had to ask for the menu, we had to ask a waiter to take our orders, we had to wait a very long time for our drinks to come (after 30 minutes we still have nothing on the table). At some point, we almost wanted to just leave, without even tasting the food. The quality of the food is absolutely not consistent. From green curries with an extreme amount of bamboo shoots, to fish dishes with undercooked fish. The fried rice is really not good. We were here at 8pm and finished our mains at 10:30pm... not a good experience. Floor manager not helpful at all.
Good food and great atmosphere inside the restaurant. There is a freshness is the food and good taste. Will recommend this place for any Thai food lover looking to dine in Brugge.
Lovely find in Bruges. Restaurant was cosy with nice ambience and we were lucky to get a window seat during lunch time. Service staff were friendly and attentive. Food was not as authentic as one would get back in Asia but it was definitely one of the better ones we’ve had around Europe.

Kottee Kaffee is a charming coffee house located on Ezelstraat, a street known for its tasteful boutiques. Excellent place for breakfast/brunch/lunch! A friend and I walked in without reading reviews beforehand, and boy were we pleasantly surprised! Staff are very friendly, and immediately knew we needed the menu in English. She explained the different waffles available and let us choose.
The coffee is good (not as weak as some others in Bruges). It comes with a homemade cookie which was stunning! The waffles have a crusty exterior and chewy interior. Better than some places but I know it will not suit everyone's tastes. Can't please everyone!
I bought scones to takeaway and they were EXCELLENT. Crusty on the outside but moist and crumbly on the inside. It came with lemon curd, berry jam, and clotted cream. Very legitimate! The lemon curd was amazing! I licked it up.

We really enjoyed our breakfast. The mixtures of flavor were perfection. Not only does the food taste good but it is eye appealing. My wife ordered a soup; I tried it and liked it, even though I don’t normally like soups!! I would have given this place a perfect score, but they didn’t have eggs and we were there at 11 am, well before closing time. If they had a protein option, even a non meat option, I would have been happy.
This place is great for breakfast or lunch, and is always guaranteed to be excellent! We love Brugge, try to return annually and Kottee Kaffee is one of the places that make the beautiful city so special.
The owner is always pleasant, very helpful and friendly and calmly deals with the many customers who frequent her popular venue. The soups, sandwiches (made with great bread) and cakes are delicious. The ingredients used are obviously fresh and of good quality.
A variety of teas are on offer, great coffee (decaffeinated too!) and non-dairy milks.
I can recommend without qualification!

If there would be a word better than Wonderful, I'd use it. This place is immaculate, in every aspect.
Location: it's close by the windmills north of the city, you can have a nice beautiful walk back to town through there.
Ambiance: there's a feel of a diner in the country side, yet a great sense of elegance to the place. You can feel ot even in the restrooms.
Staff: the people who work there speak English and very helpful, they jave English menu too. The lady who cared for our order was so nice and friendly, even changed a few things in the brunch offer they have to accommodate us.
Finally and most importantly - Food:
Everything, and i mean everyone. Is either home-made or from a farm fresh (cheese, butter, breads jams) different type of fresh baked bread that that is so light and flavorful. Just perfect!
For coffee drinks too, this place has it all.
The kitchen is in the middle, you see and feel the experience of how your food is made.
I would definitely go there a million more times if i lived in Bruges.

Visit there twice during our visit. Highly recommend this place especially we're tired with expensive and below average tourist restaurants. We had such an amazing time tasting all the bread and bake goodies. We tried savory and sweet breakfast, everything are selected and made with high quality and it is the quality your pallets can tell right the way. This place is the oasis of Bruges.
WOW!!! Such an amazing breakfast! The coffee drinks and chai are delicious, there is such a large selection of beverages it was hard to decide. The food was fabulous and the homemade bread with local farm butter was some of the best I've had. Also, very friendly service. Highly recommend!
Best breakfast we had in Bruges, and one of the best breakfasts we had in Europe. The proprietors make everything homemade, including the bread and fresh-squeezed orange juice. The husband is very friendly and likes to joke around with customers, and speaks English perfectly, in addition to French and Dutch. After eating here the first time, we made a reservation to come back again, and we're glad we did! I recommend the hot chocolate (be sure to ask for it dark).

I do not usually write a lot of reviews, but I had to. We are travelling through Europe from Egypt, and this is by far the best food experience we have had so far. The food portions were huge, so consider sharing. The food was really special; one of the rare times I find something that is really exceptional. I recommend the Lamb Fillet in particular. Other than the food, the staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. The place is a little small so expect some wait time at the bar (which was also pleasant). Overall an amazing experience. Highly recommend if you find yourself in Brugges.

We ate here with no prior knowledge we just wanted to rest a bit and sat down. It turned out to be a really nice restaurant. Our table was outside. We ordered mussels and beer. It was big enough for us to share . It comes with crispy potato fries, mussel sauce and mayo for the fries. Everything was great. Mussels were tasty, fries were crispy and light. Prices were very reasonable. Service was excellent.
Ate ate the bar and enjoyed venison stew, veal tongue and fried chicken. I search for restaurants like this, unpretentious, cuisine and sauces of superb quality. A real meal by a chef that has a special palate and skilled at executing each dish as though you’re seated in their home kitchen
Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! So unwelcoming! We asked if we could sit at a vacant table, and the waitress snapped in a rude manner " Yes, if you are eating!" The lady in the kitchen muttered something in a foreign language to the chef, whilst glaring at us, and another waitress stared at us, and made us feel so uncomfortable, and so unwelcome! We glanced at the menu, €25.00 euros for chicken and chips! I saw the chicken and chips on the way out the restaurant... no thank you! We left quickly. We were looking forward to dining here, after reading other reviews, we had walked a long way only to be treated in this way. This is not the way to treat customers! We are paying your wages!
Very cozy place, no reservations, you can just walk in. When they are full they allow you to drink something at the bar which is also very nice and adds a lot to the atmosphere. If you’re looking for a cozy local restaurant this is the place to be! Friendly staff, local dishes and very reasonable prices.

De Belegde Boterham is a popular lunch spot in Bruges for well-heeled locals. It has a monochrome boutique styling, but the food is excellent and the service friendly. The salads are especially good and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommended!

What an incredible spot! Every dish we tried was packed with flavor and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The Lebanese salad was out of this world, and I also highly recommend the burrata with eggplant appetizer, the salmon salad, and the sweet and sour herring salad. The ambiance was beautiful and clean, and the service was amazing—attentive, friendly, and thoughtful. The only downside? It’s only open for lunch—I would have loved the chance to come back for dinner too!
A lovely lunch spot in Bruges serving large delicious salads. My boyfriend and were hunting for a salad after several days of eating very rich food. This was just the perfect spot. The ingredients were all very fresh and the composition was inspired. The service was also very friendly. I highly recommend if you are looking for a healthy fresh meal in Bruges.
We happened upon this lovely spot today for lunch and what a delight. Food was absolutely wonderful, filling, well presented and just delicious tasting. I had a warm chicken Indian spiced with daal and chutney salad. My husband had the Vietnamese dumpling salad. Everything was well prepared and was clearly french influenced. We each had rose wine, mine a natural French and his an Italian. Just perfect.

We ordered by UberEats and it was not fresh. Our temaki was ok but the rest was really not fresh. It was really small for what you pay and really poor on the felling.
We couldn't find any empty table in cafes on the street that day in Brugge and just to change our baby's clothes and feed her, asked for the friends here if we come inside. They kindly accepted. They also warmed up the baby food. We spent more than half an hour inside. Thank you so much guys. Unlike rude Belgians you Asian friends were very kind. Best wishes for you.

I live in Antwerp and have already visited multiple times with my family and friends as well. Highly recommended because this is one of the rarest restaurants in Belgium where you will get Authentic Indian flavour.
Amritsari Chole Kulche is the show stopper. Must must try.

Had a vegan meal at this restaurant in Bruges. Got a selection of curries, which came with rice, some greens, naan bread (which was outstanding), and poppadoms. Reasonably priced meal but the drinks are very expensive, if I recall correctly it was 4 euros for 200 ml of pop. The meal was lovely though with fast service and would definitely recommend if you are in the area, especially if you are vegan, as there was a range of curries available.
Worst Indian food that can be available in Brugge. For all the Non-Indians for whom Indian food is a delicacy might find the food tasty and good but do not believe them. This is the worst food any Indian can have. The Paneer sabzi is literally only tomatoes there are no indian spices or masalas used, even the rice served is the worst rice one could have. We left the food as is. If this restaurant was in India, i would not even pay 100₹

A hidden gem with exceptional hospitality and delicious cuisine! The staff and owner are incredibly friendly, making every visit a pleasure. While I’m neither vegan nor vegetarian, my mother is, and this place has been a delightful surprise. Typically, I’m not a fan of meat substitutes, but here, I don’t miss meat at all. The rich Indian flavors and perfectly balanced sauces more than make up for it.
Each dish is beautifully presented, and you can customize the spice level to suit your taste. The drinks are excellent, and the prices are very reasonable, making it an unbeatable option for Indian cuisine. The fact that it’s entirely meat-free is just the cherry on top.
The only thing I’d love to see is a wider selection of desserts, but beyond that, this place has quickly become one of my favorites. Highly recommended for anyone, whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just love great food!
The vegan thalis were a really nice option (only comment would be that the curries were slightly over salted for my taste, but not a big deal). I really enjoyed the raita. Great option for vegetarians/vegans passing through the area!

As a vegetarian and a foodie, I always find it difficult to get authentic Indian vegetarian food abroad. But this place is truly top-notch!
I was a bit hesitant at first after reading some mixed reviews, but I decided to give it a try and ordered the Vegetarian Thali. I also requested for it to be made “Indian level” spicy — and the chef absolutely nailed it!
The food, service, and ambience were all excellent, and I was really impressed that the flavors matched the authentic Indian taste.

Boho Brunch is a trendy spot that gained popularity on TikTok. It's the perfect place to blend breakfast and lunch, especially if you're looking for a surreal dining experience. Despite not having a reservation, visitors were warmly welcomed by friendly staff who offered seating on the terrace. The ambiance, attentive service, and delectable food made for an unforgettable brunch experience. Guests raved about the delicious sandwiches and special breakfast dishes like eggs Benedict with bacon.
This place is fantastic! We had the salmon eggs Benedict, burrata and ham sandwich and the classic açai bowl. The portions are well sized. The Benedict was well balanced, with fresh vegetables, the sandwich was well proportioned in flavour. The burrata and ham paired perfectly with the rocket and pine nuts. Açai bowl had a beautiful presentation, lots of fruit and crunchy granola. Very pleased, a must in Bruges.

Fabulous lunch here! I had the (open face) hummus sandwich, which was super good - lots of fresh ingredients, invigorating crunch, and a melodious mix of flavours. My partner's eggs Benedict with bacon was equally good and delightfully presented. A pleasant (and delicious!) way to begin our visit to Bruges!

Great food and drinks at a reasonable price. Very friendly staff. My only comment was the waitress didn't know the smoothie of the day, went to check. We then ordered and she came back to say that was the old one. There were only four of us and the drinking tool their time to come out and didn't all come at once. Service needs some work, but worth a stop for something to eat and drink.
Had a wonderful brunch without a reservation. Sat outside next to the fire pit with a restaurant-provided blanket on my lap. Ginger tea was delightful and the food was fresh, beautiful, and delicious. The salmon and avocado toast was a delicious work of art.
Absolutely amazing breakfast/brunch spot! Highly recommend it. Friendly service, amazing food and cosy atmosphere. We had an açai bowl and salmon and avocado toast. The matcha latte and pumpkin spice latte were also out of this world. My husband loved the cardamom bun he had, which I tried, and we thought it was so fresh and delicious.

Tompouce is a restaurant located in Burg Square, offering a beautiful view of the historic City Hall. The menu caters to both traditional Belgian cuisine and familiar favorites for tourists. Despite initial concerns about it being a tourist trap, diners were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and service.
Tompouce is located right in the heart of Brugge’s main square — the view itself is worth it! We had the lamb chops, and they were absolutely delicious: tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The mussels were also fresh and tasty, a proper Belgian touch. Sitting there, enjoying good food while watching the square’s historic charm and lively atmosphere, was a real highlight of our trip. The staff were warm and attentive, and the portions generous. A perfect spot if you want both authentic flavors and the best view in Brugge. 🍻🍺🍴✨

We came for lunch at this attractive restaurant in the center of Bruges. In addition to plentiful outdoor seating there is 2 floors of indoor seating and we were promptly shown to a table inside. It was comfortable and quiet. We had the flemish beef stew and a ceasar salad. The salad was nice but the beef stew was excellent. The beef was tender and is prepared with dark beer giving it a rich flavor. It comes with fries and a small green salad. Perfect. Server was attentive and we didn't wait long for our order despite the crowd. The prices were reasonable. PS: There is an elevator to the bathrooms on the 2nd floor so you can avoid the stairs of death.
The steak was a bit like wood: you try to chew, but can neither swallow or take out. The mussels were quite good. When we asked the waiter for a table, he asked us ‚Do you want to eat?‘ in glad he didn’t confuse us for doing something else in the restaurant. The atmosphere is fantastic of course.
We got Flemish stew and a few beverages. It was tasty and the staff were friendly. They even gave us a red tablecloth and said “let’s make it more romantic”. Very cute.
Very expensive! We ordered warm apple pie (€10) and cheesecake (€9). Both were definietly not freshly baked. Coffee and tea were ok. The hot milk + Belgian Chocolate looked very cute, but was a bit different from what I expected. I thought that I would get chocolate that I still had to melt with my milk, but I got already molten chocolate that was very sweet. All in all. Lots of seating area, friendly staff but would definietly not recommend as price is too high, quality way too low.
