Chinese restaurant
Located in the bustling Lake Highlands district, Hello Dumpling is a must-visit spot offering a delectable array of dumplings, soups, and various hot and cold bites. This eatery stands out for its gluten-free options, including handmade rice dumplings and other dishes like beef, chicken or tofu skewers, as well as zucchini noodles for those avoiding gluten. The menu features traditional handmade dumplings filled with an assortment of proteins alongside authentic rice dumplings.
East Dallas has a reason to celebrate! Hello Dumpling is a fantastic restaurant serving Beijing Soul Food . And it’s good for the soul delicious. Olivia Martinez welcomed me and walked me through the menu. I ordered the Shanghai Noodles and Eight Steamed pork dumplings. Handmade noodles and dumplings are a work of love and art. Designed and seasoned to perfection. Every selection is an Epicurean delight. The restaurant is super clean and inviting. The order station and menu are easy to navigate. You can peer into the kitchen open window off the dining room. It’s easy to see why Guy Fieri recently featured Hello Dumpling on Diners,Drive-ins and Dives 2025 If you love this cuisine. You won’t find a better restaurant for twice the price. She has opened another location at Central Expressway at Walnut Hill Lane Put this one on your Must try list. See you there!

The parking is a little hectic but cute little restaurant. I went Saturday and tried dumpling for the first time. It was family friendly even without a kids menu. The service was great. Even though its an order get a number and the items will be brought to your table type of establishment. We sat near the kitchen. The kids enjoyed watching the kitchen staff cook the food. I had the chicken and mushroom dumplings, shrimp pan seared dumplings , the short rib noodles and crispy basil chicken. I did not like the boiled dumpling. It was a personal performance due to the texture. The panseared were amazing. The noodle soup was bland. It didn’t have much flavor. The short rib in the soup was amazing. I wish I could have just ordered that. The broth and everything was just there. & the star of the show was the basil chicken! It was very good, my children loved it and so did it. I will return and recommend to anyone looking to try out a new place.

There are many reasons to go to Hello Dumpling in East Dallas. The number one reason is because of Chef June Chow's amazing dishes. Which also caught the attention of Guy Fieri from Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives who announced to the world how amazing her restaurant Hello Dumpling is. See season 51 episode 6 2025. Many of us have been eating here long before Guy's visit but it just confirms what we all knew June's dishes are uniquely delicious!! Great food for the soul and the pocket book. I have tried practically everything on the menu and it is ALL GOOD! Here is what I highly recommend first time. Peking Noodle with Pork-Insanely delicious, sweet, savory, spicy! Shrimp with zucchini dumplings!! Jasmine raspberry tea with mango pearls. If June is not busy ask to to speak with her. She loves to hear how much you enjoy her food! 10 out of 10 highly recommend 😋

my first time going, and I was absolutely blown away. the atmosphere is amazing. I love the art and the plants and the nice small, intimate homey feel that it has, and for me being a vegetarian, I was very impressed with the vegetarian options that they had available without sacrificing on flavor and quality. It was absolutely amazing. Will definitely be going back multiple times.

From 1 to 10 I'll rate this place with a 7. Food taste good, menu it's a little hard to understand the first time. But I love the family-oriented environment.
Israel R — Google review
Awesome prices, friendly workers! Hunan ribs were my favorite—delicious broiled on sauce. The braised beef noodle soup was also next level—very very rich and savory broth. Nothing was too spicy, which I appreciate. And you can get extra chili oil on the side to kick it up a notch!
Banana M — Google review
First time in and was immediately greeted with a warm welcome from Olivia. She walked us through the menu and we ordered 6 dishes. Everything came out pretty quickly and tasted fresh! I will definitely come again next time I'm in the area. Tip: try to Taiwanese shaved ice! The triple mango one was delicious and refreshing.
Michelle — Google review
You know the food good if you dive in before taking a photo. The atmosphere is fantastic, restaurant is clean, beef broth noodle was spectacular and flavorful, scallion pancakes was great and I don’t even like scallion pancakes if I could give more stars I would. Their music playlist is also great as well!!!!! Please come here! I made this review while eating.

Chinese noodle restaurant
Monkey King Noodle Company is a lively and casual restaurant that offers traditional Chinese street food, including soups, noodles, and dumplings. The restaurant aims to recreate the experience of enjoying street food in Taiwan and China. They provide a nice variety of Chinese dishes made to order. One popular dish is the spicy beef noodle soup, which features slow-braised beef shank, fresh herbs, and house-made noodles. Customers can also observe the process of hand-spinning noodles while enjoying their meal.
I had the hot and spicy beef soup. The noodles were good. Over all great for the price point. Broth had lots of flavor and spice. I all had the orange chicken I was underwhelmed by the dish rice was cold and the chicken was dry but over not bad. Cucumber salad was brilliant it was Very fresh and flavorful. Strawberry lemonade is aust go to drink here.
Edward G — Google review
This is a frequent visit for me and the food is always good. I usually get the Dan Dan noodles as it the most amazing dish there imo. Today I wanted to try the Taiwanese nuggets and they were really good. The venue is small, and if you have a small child 0-2 there are no high chairs. The atmosphere is more like a noodle bar, than a restaurant. I love the food and location so none of those are issues for me. Back to the food… as I mentioned I get the Dan Dan noodles with a 4 or 5 spice rating it’s a good amount of spice to enjoy but nothing that will make you regret life choices for 48 hours or so. The portions are generous and it is packed with lots of flavor. The nuggets I ordered are seasoned with salt and I hint of a spice but I quite put my finger on it. They are not spicy at all I have a 1 year old that ate them up and really enjoyed them. I have had the chicken noodle dish but it was not my favorite but it would be a good choice for those that want more of a traditional soup when they are not in the mood for Asian cuisine but want to be with the crowd.
Brandon S — Google review
Good food, reasonable prices and great service. Glen was super friendly and attentive. Everything we tried was tasty. Highly recommend the Taiwanese chicken nuggets.
Michelle S — Google review
I ordered from Post Masters, but the food was disappointing compared to their photos online. You don't receive a lot of meat on the orange chicken. I also found the dumplings lacked soup inside and dried out on the top and soggy on the bottom. As well as, the noodles for the beef stir fry was overcooked. The flavors on the orange chicken and beef stir fry was good. Wish they hadn't just dropped a tablespoon of crushed pepper spice on the top without mixing it. It unbalanced the flavor because when it arrived it had crusted and could not be mixed in.
Ashley C — Google review
Ordered through Uber eats. Food was tasty and fresh. Order quantity received didn’t match the description. One order of egg rolls says 4 pieces, we only received 3. I requested 5/10 spice level and it was pretty hot to me so I’d recommend choosing a lower amount if you don’t want to feel the burn! Will try again.
Tonie R — Google review
I’ve ordered from here plenty of times for delivery, but for my first time dining in, I would absolutely do it again. The front cashier was pretty cool and kind about the sauces. The food is bomb as usual, but was sad the soup dumplings were sold out when I got there. Highly recommend the beef noodle soup and soup dumplings if they’re available.

Our family and I are here visiting Dallas and our hotel was located right across from the at@t discovery district. We had a chance to visit these eateries and we thought that the place was awesome. Although my family enjoyed their meals from other locations, I on the other hand didn’t. I decided to order from this place and so I had the beef stir fry, with a side of cucumber salad and pork spring rolls. I mean you can pretty much look at the picture and see why I gave 1⭐️. The beef stir fry had a lot of black pepper in it yet it was very bland in taste. The pork spring rolls tasted like there’s a mix banana in it which was kind of a weird combination. I make cucumber salad(Asian style)all the time because both of my son and husband loves cucumber. This cucumber salad looked like cucumber soup. Yuk!!!🤮🤮it looked red and oily and not taste. Was very disappointing.
Eagle E — Google review
Slap My Face: this place was freaking delicious!! We ordered the Dan Dan noodles, Soup Dumplings, Pork Dumplings, And Cucumber Salad. Everything was bursting with flavors and so filling. Their customer service was good, the atmosphere was nice and cozy, and they even have out door seating. I really liked this noodle place, and as most of my friends know...I love Noodles! 🍜

Ramen restaurant
Restaurant
Oni Ramen, located in Deep Ellum, is a popular spot known for its diverse menu featuring poke and build-your-own ramen with both traditional and global influences. The restaurant takes pride in its simple yet flavorful dishes that are prepared with care and attention to detail. One of their house specialties, the Kyushu Tankatsu, features tender slices of pork belly and customizable vegetable options.
I went with my granddaughters who absolutely loved their ramen! We all love the fact that we got to customize our bowls and add extra! The service was fast. This was our first time here my granddaughter said they would definitely come back. For three bowls and three drinks we paid $67. I definitely finished my bowl! 😂 Do I think it was a little pricey well you get what you pay for and what I paid for was good so it's up to you but it is definitely double digits for each bowl plus if you're greedy like me and like to add things it can add up pretty quickly. If I was invited to come back I would definitely go.
Tina B — Google review
Delicious ramen with rich broth and fresh toppings. The food quality stands out, but the service could use improvement it felt a bit rushed. Overall, a solid spot for ramen lovers. 4/5.
Andrés C — Google review
It was my first time having Ramen and they did not disappoint! Flavors were good, nice portion, and broth on point. I got mild and it was still spicy, so no spice for me next time. 10/10!
Aiesha K — Google review
Extremely satisfied with the Texas Mazemen! Great customer service and shout out to the helpful Cashier Juan Gonna and Jade P. Great establishment and awesome cooks! 10/10
Gary T — Google review
Today I went and it just tasted really insipid, watery, and unflavored 😔 the only flavor in this bowl was the pork and egg. The broth tastes like spicy water. I was very disappointed cause it looked so good!! Very overpriced too.
Anna H — Google review
Yeah, never again. Food is disgusting but looked so good. The customer service is non existent and no one acknowledges or explain anything to you. When you walk in you’d think to make eye contact or a welcomed greeting from the employees…..none at all. Food has potential but they have this ridiculous policy that I did not see at all. I spent time trying to figure things out and not one person cared to offer guidance. After all I am walking into your establishment as a first time guest. Not everyone knows the system to your business. I paid $5 tip and I didn’t even have utensils given to me, nor napkin & chopsticks. I got up from seat three times because of that. Also, they’re not afraid to put ghetto signs instructing you not to eat at the bar if you order from the kiosk, but nothing noting how I’d receive my order? They called out numbers and I didn’t even know where they were getting it from. Again, I had to figure it out that the last 3/4 digits of your order number is what they called. SOOOO CONFUSING!!! Then there’s no way of knowing who ordered what? Yall don’t have an expo monitor or something? I ordered an iced tea and no one gave it to me. I assumed I had to go up to the bar and when I asked for it he gave me a price. I rebutted “I paid for it already”. I’ve been to holes in the wall 100x better than this. In fact, I could’ve just warmed up instant noodle and been more happy with it. If you want mediocre Ramen, horrible service, & to dine at a place where you have to serve and do everything yourself…this is your place! If you want actual customer service, good food and a welcoming environment then SKIP. FAST. I’ll be dammed if stepped foot in here again. You’ll see the before and after of my bowl. I really tried eating it but my stomach kept turning. & Let’s face it NO SERVICE IS BAD SERVICE. Absolutely going to dispute this with my bank especially leaving a tip and not one person cared if I walked in or out.
Ashley S — Google review
Once you enter, it is a narrow restaurant layout. If you do not plan to sit at the bar, must order at kiosk and seat yourself. If you do want to sit at the bar, you order there. Keep your ticket from kiosk, and when order is ready, they’ll call your ticket number. Mine was the last three digits on my order number. I ordered the rich tonkotsu and chicken karaage. Broth had lots of flavor, and you can pay for spice if you want to make it spicy. It will be a chili paste that you add yourself. Noodles were good and chewy. Had an abundance of them in my bowl! The piece of protein that comes with it was thick and flavorful. They were also not stingy with the bamboo shoots and mushroom. The portion for the price is very reasonable. The karaage was fried to perfection and was juicy! It is well seasoned and might be too spicy if you are ordering for kids. There is also a self-served ice water station if you do not want to order beverages. Overall, I would definitely return for the food! Good ramen place in Deep Ellum that is worth a try if you are in the area.
Brandy H — Google review
The food is fantastic. I didn't really talk to anyone to get a feel for the service. The seating is adequate for the area.

Sandwich shop

Caterer
Dallas Grilled Cheese Co. at Mockingbird Station offers a unique dining experience with its inventive grilled cheese sandwiches, soups, and salads served in an industrial setting complete with a full bar. One of the must-try items is the Grilled Mac N Cheese made with grilled sourdough, smoked Gouda, American cheese, and mac and cheese with an option to add slow-cooked smoked brisket.
Angie was absolutely wonderful! She greeted us as soon as we walked in and sat us down. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and when there was an issue on my part, she was so quick to resolve it and so understanding. She checked on us periodically and made sure that we were well taken care of. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was inviting. Overall, a really good vibe. we ordered the grilled cheese with brisket and it was absolutely delicious! Also the lemon pepper wings were top-tier definitely did not taste like your average wings. The cheesy bacon fries were crispy and so cheesy. My partner ordered the grilled cheese fajita and it’s now his favorite thing on the menu. Also very inexpensive for what we had ordered two appetizers and two entrées and drinks for under 50 bucks! Will definitely be returning.

Genuinely the worst food I’ve ever had. My 2 year old golden retriever could have made better food than this. No seriously, do yourself a favor, and just go by a loaf of bread and stick a kraft single in between it, burn it thoroughly, and that will be a better sandwich. Tomato basil was straight up Heinz ketchup. Not palatable. I don’t even leave google reviews ever. This place sucks.
Sergio — Google review
First time here with my daughter and girlfriend. The server was very nice. Got sat right away which was nice. Not too busy. Server came and took our order and drinks and food were out very quickly. The unfortunate news now.... the windows were super dirty and the floor was unclean as well. Lots of food on the ground. As we were eating the server did start to clean and wipe down the tables. Overall 3 or 4 out of 5. Food was good for sure.

I am a major foodie ! And very critical when it comes to judging and leaving a review . This place was soooooo good I read a lot of reviews before coming here and the main complaint everyone has is they don’t cook the fries all the way and we did experience that . But other than that it was AMAZING a little pricey but super delicious . Potato soup so good ! Grilled cheese so good . Bacon Mac n cheese so good ! Waffle sweet potato fries perfectly amazing . I will definitely be back ! But next time I will just get a grilled cheese and fries with their amazing ranch .another thing I wasn’t too happy about was that the sandwhiches do not come with fries that makes it pricey but everything pictured we spent 45$ so not bad and remained full almost the entire day for the two of us .
Baybee D — Google review
Ohh boy, I still cannot forget the taste of the delicious cheesy grilled sandwich and their fries 😋😋. Their pricing is also really suitable considering the quantity and the staff is just amazing. They treat every customer politely and are always ready to serve.

This place is wonderful! The staff is friendly, the food is amazing and the beer is cold! If you haven't been here before, you are missing out! My favorite sandwich here is the Cuban with ghost pepper cheese with a side of onion rings. 😋 😋 😋

Friendly speedy service...Just wish they would have checked to see if we needed anything else or offer to refill soft drinks. Other than that minor thing we enjoyed our food and vibes.

Visited in the afternoon and were the only people there! Good music, modern atmosphere, could have been a little cleaner but not awful. Food was delicious, but a little on the expensive side. Def a treat yourself kinda place. Server was awesome and took good care of us. I ordered the triple cheese with parm fries and a shirley temple. It was a wonderful afternoon snack!

Cindi's NY Deli & Restaurant is a great place to get New York classics like bagels and lox, matzo ball soup and corned beef sandwiches, as well as chicken fried steak. It's owned by a Vietnamese woman, so it has an eclectic atmosphere that is great for any visitor.
Great little deli/diner. Very fast service. Good hot coffee. Terrific bagels. Can't wait to come back when I'm more hungry!

I had breakfast at Cindy’s New York Delicatessen here in Dallas, and wow — it did not disappoint! The Hala French Toast was absolutely amazing — perfectly soft, slightly sweet, and cooked to perfection. The bacon was crispy and flavorful, and the corned beef hash was one of the best I’ve had — hearty, savory, and packed with that classic deli flavor. Our server, Christian, was amazing — attentive, friendly, and made us feel so welcome the entire time. The service really elevated the whole experience. The atmosphere has that authentic New York deli vibe while still feeling cozy and inviting. Whether you’re craving a classic breakfast or just want to treat yourself, Cindy’s is definitely a spot worth visiting. I’ll 100% be coming back!

Cindi’s NY Deli & Restaurant is a solid downtown spot when you want something fresh and satisfying. I had coffee and a fruit plate, and both were excellent — fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. Service was excellent as well, attentive without being overbearing. The place has a classic city diner vibe, which feels authentic, though it’s worth noting that the neighborhood isn’t the safest part of Dallas. Pricing felt fair for a downtown location, and overall it was a positive experience. I’d recommend Cindi’s to anyone looking for a good diner-style breakfast or light meal in the city. I’ll definitely return.

Classic deli in many ways and glad I finally made it in. Friendly service, just lively enough on a Saturday morning for that deli vibe n the small open dining area w a variety of seating, but no classic counter service though. Was happy to have a generous portion of lox w my toasted bagel, and the drip coffee was piping hot and fresh. Also was happy that they had grits as all southern deli’s should!

Conveniently located deli just across from Union Station. The atmosphere is average, but there are decent options on the menu. The bagels looked and tasted good, and the staff is friendly.

I used to eat here in the mornings on my way to class at community college. This deli is no doubt the best deli in all of Dallas. Their breakfast is stacked with huge omelettes and pancakes. The sandwiches here is like being in New York without leaving the metroplex. I do not be downtown often however, this place is well worth the commute.

Great diner near our hotel. Gave us the old rustic feel. Service was fast and they served good hot black coffee.

Pancakes were fantastic, refills on coffee. Eggs over-easy, sausage links and hash was great. Service was lovely. Fairly busy on a Sunday morning (a good sign). Got a poppy seed bagel with cream cheese to take out (they had no low-fat cream cheese 😔) which I enjoyed later on. Would recommend

Boulevardier is a chic and sophisticated French bistro known for its upscale cuisine, classy cocktails, and extensive wine selection. Located in a cozy neighborhood off the main Bishop Arts dining area, this restaurant offers a delectable menu featuring French-inspired dishes such as French onion soup, beef tartare, steak frites, pastas, lamb chops, and wood-grilled fish.
I still think about these oysters often. Highly recommend. The best thing we had that night but everything else was also delicious. It was our first time so we just ate several appetizers to get a feel for the food. Will definitely be coming back. It’s a dark trendy restaurant that makes an amazing date night spot. Would make a reservation.

Update: Went back for my birthday after looking forward to it for so long. We even drove for 30 mins on a stormy night to enjoy this dinner. WOW. What a disappointment?! The Grilled baby octopus appetizer was so over salted that it burned! Crawfish Beignets were good but they were out of the bone marrow. The onions in French onion soup were not properly caramelized and that was not real Gruyere Very good Mushroom Risotto but the Duck Confit was a salt bomb, served with warm, not hot, gooey, gnocchi and cold green beans. Even after returning it, the second serving was just as salty and cold The Steak was served on a cold plate and pre cut, resulting in that nice piece of Ribeye (that we upgraded to) taste cold! No recognition of my birthday which was on the Open Table reservation and that we told the waiter about. The hostess admitted knowing it too. It seemed she was too busy texting on her phone all night. Oh and at no point did a manager come to the table to apologize or care! Was this just an off night? We'll never know as we certainly are not going back! What a shame. If only it tasted as good as it looked 2019: Great food, wine list and service. Thank you for a nice dinner

It was date night for my wife and I and we wanted a good burger. We searched for a place and Boulevardier came up. It is not a hamburger joint but it has one of the best hamburgers that my wife and I ever ate. Our server Kristen was so wonderful. She really took care of us. Although we were there for hamburgers we will definitely come back to try other menu items.

The ambience and food are a bit underwhelming for the location and price point. We got the woodgrilled oysters, egg muérete and the steak and eggs. Everything was good but nothing extraordinary that you wouldn’t find elsewhere at a better price. The interiors and the presentation of food was lackluster. Parking is hard to find, so plan ahead or do the valet.
Sam — Google review
Unobtrusive restaurant hidden in the heart of the Bishop of Arts District. Apart from the cuisine, the most attractive thing about this place is the excellent service and atmospheric lighting The wood-grilled oysters were fresh and well-seasoned. NY Strips was my favorite; the steak was delicious, and the combination of fresh asparagus and mashed potatoes added to the flavor of each other Brûlée was relatively ordinary since other dishes were too good.
Kuan Y — Google review
Three stars solely for the music and the service. The Bloody Mary tasted like hormel chili, the duck leg was extremely dry, and the croque madame was lukewarm. We also did the crawfish beignets and although we didn’t taste much crawfish or feel like it was an accurate representation of a beignet it did taste pretty good. We won’t come back for brunch but might try dinner.
Nathan C — Google review
Boulevardier brings delicious French cuisine to your table with a very casual feel. I stopped in after they reopened from Covid and everything I ordered was great. The service was a tad lacking but they've been closed for many months so I assume there are kinks to work out.
Chase N — Google review
Boulevardier is a good restaurant with solid service, food and drinks. We ordered 5 appetizers and 3 drinks: The crawfish beignets were only ok. The the presentation of the dish was good. As you cut into the beignet, you could see inner filling along with the crawfish. This gave me an anticipation for full flavors. I was hoping for an explosion tucked inside the nicely fried outer layer. When I actually tasted it, however, the flavors were too mild. Perhaps a beignet creole dipping sauce would have taken this dish to another level. The roasted bone marrow was alright. While the bone marrow itself was good, it did not come adequately seasoned. Instead, they provided a small dish of flakey sea salt for you control the amount salt. Doing this, however, made the first bite of the dish flat and unappealing. The condiments of the garlic confit was good, but the gremolata was a bit overpowering so be careful how much you use. The toasted buttered baguette that accompanied the dish was fantastic. Likewise, the mussels were alright. The mussels themselves were cooked to perfection. Soft and tender and not rubbery at all. But the broth served with the mussels did not hit the spot. It was good and had depth of flavor, but no surprises. Perhaps adding Thai chili or Chorizo would elevate this dish. Additionally, a side of toasted buttered baguette would have been great to soak up the broth. Now for my favorites: the wood grilled oysters and fois gras. The wood grilled oysters are a must try. The dish was executed to protection. The oysters were perfectly cooked, keeping their soft and light texture. The spicy casino butter took the oysters to another level. The chunks of smoked bacon was another nice surprise, adding great texture and the smoke flavor permeating each bite. The fois gras was fantastic. The fois gras was seasoned well and melted in my mouth. The cracker was a great balance to the sweetness of the jam. Depending on how much of the jam you applied, this dish could almost be considered a dessert. I could totally envision vanilla ice cream served along side. Now for the drinks: Old Fashioned, Steep Buzz and a new holiday drink. My favorite was the Steep Buzz. If you like bourbon and spicy ginger, this drink is for you. The holiday drink was good, nice holiday flavor. And the Old fashioned, well it’s an Old Fashioned. Bottom line: Boulevardier is a solid restaurant. Some good dishes, and some that are exceptional. The drinks were good and worth trying. Give this place a try. With tax and tip this meal cost me about 180 dollars and I would say it’s worth the try.

Royal China Restaurant, located in Preston Royal, is a long-standing family-style Chinese eatery known for its authentic cuisine, including hand-pulled noodles and housemade dumplings. The inviting main dining room features stylish decor with cheerful yellow and red walls, red banquettes, and striking black-and-white art photographs. Solo diners can enjoy views of the bustling kitchen from the white marble dumpling bar.
Royal China is always delicious! They have an excellent lunch menu with specials. Specials include rice, soup and an eggroll. The veggie dumplings were exceptionally good. We got the Jasmine tea. It came in a lovely pot. Our server was fabulous! I am making plans to go back!

How this place has over 4 star rating is beyond me. Food was disgusting. Lo-Mian had a weird taste. The “crispy duck” was not crispy and also tasted off, no one ate that and it was $31. The “egg roll” had no egg, the smallest about of minced meat but ALL THE CABBAGE THEY COULD FIT INTO A ROLL. The highly rated Dry-Stirred Beef was soggy and tough. I added a side of hot mustard for $1. I would had ordered more sauces if I had known they wouldn’t include a single one. No soy sauce, duck sauce, nothing. Such an expensive meal for hardly anyone to eat. Oh and I paid $2 EXTRA for more broccoli in the sesame chicken and they added it to the same container as the rest of the meal. Basically I got more broccoli that I paid extra for but this apparently meant I got less chicken in the meal due to this. Would not recommend and will not order from again.

First and last time visiting Royal China. The restaurant itself was clean, but we repeatedly had to send back silverware and glassware—either there were random objects floating in my drink or smudges on the utensils. It was disgusting. Service was just okay. Nothing to brag about. Our server would disappear for long stretches, and we constantly had to ask other staff members to track him down. It was frustrating. The food was simply bad. I can’t dress it up—it was gross. My husband liked a couple of items, but for the most part, we forced ourselves to eat what we could since we had paid for it. Much of it didn’t taste fresh, as if it had been sitting out before being served. The flavors were harsh, and the smell turned my stomach. The only thing I somewhat enjoyed was the scallion pancakes. We won’t be back.

It was good) The hand-pulled noodles and dumplings were fresh and full of flavor—I especially liked the dan dan noodles and soup dumplings. The atmosphere was cozy, and it was fun to see the chefs making noodles by hand. It’s a great spot for tasty and authentic Chinese food.

While traveling through town on a road trip we were able to get in just under an hour before they closed and the place was full. They had no issues seating us right away, service was quick and so friendly. We were still out by closing. The crab rangoon was the biggest I have seen and so delicious. The egg rolls were amazing in that they are just like you would expect but instead of greasy or frozen, everything was super fresh and delicious. I got sesame chicken which was made to order and literally melted in my mouth. I was able to choose light or dark meat and chose dark. It tasted a little different than most sesame dishes but in the best way. Husband got the yellow curry and loved it. The side of fried rice was on point as well. The portions are big, so I brought them home and leftovers were great. I have saved the location as a favorite so any time I am going through I can find it again. I also texted my local friends to insist they go there as well, regardless of how far they have to drive. :)

Had a good lunch at Royal China. I had high expectations as I’ve been to Asia numerous times. It’s decent food. Price is normal for this area in Preston Hollow. Service was good but not stellar. Waiter had too many tables. He was kind. I had the shrimp dumplings to start. They were excellent and only $12. I had a raspberry mule to drink that was also great. Then for the entree I had General Kaos chicken. It wasn’t super hot when it came to my table. It also wasn’t spicy. I had to request more chili oil. The lunch entree was mid, decent but I’ve had better. If I return, it will only be for dumplings.

The menu features overstuffed sandwiches like Reubens and corned beef, along with Russian-Jewish classics such as matzo ball soup, latkes, gefilte fish, and kugel. Additionally, they offer freshly baked bagels, challah bread, and onion rolls.
I love diners and this one is one of those classic ones. We ordered the pastrami and corned beef sandwiches and they were nothing short of amazing. The onion rings and fries were the perfect crunch as a side as well. Ended up taking half of our sandwiches home because we couldn’t finish them and picked up a white and black cookie and brownie. I highly recommend this place if you’re craving an NY deli experience and sandwiches.

I miss the east coast for the great delicatessens and seafood options. Deli News gave me a taste of home with the fantastic fresh cut sandwiches and kosher vibes. Large sandwiches, great sides and a large selection of desserts. This was my first visit and it will definitely not be my last! My mom had the chicken salad and it was sooo good! Give Deli News a try if you love a great sandwich and salad.

I was excited to try an independent sandwich shop. I didn’t find the experience to meet up with the hype. My sandwich had a good quantity of meat, but I kind of felt like I make better sandwiches at home. Maybe dump my bag of chips out onto my plate before the waitress brings it to me would have improved the experience some?

The food is a stellar example of what deli food should be. The Reuben is top notch and the fries it came with were maybe the best I've ever had. Their corned beef hash is another to certainly try. Very hearty and good portions.

We were looking for some NY bagels. Looked around & decided to try this out. Well, it's the real deal. Everything is well thought out & seasoned. The service was top notch. All the food was brought out with a sense of urgency, so it was hot. The only complaint is that the bacon & the potatoes were a limitless salty, but good. We even took bagels home. We'll be back to try more.

This is a hole-in-the wall place with very sweet people and fabulous food. An unassuming hall with true deli feel as you enter opens to a small dining room where the menu is straightforward leaning towards Eastern European flavors. I didn't expect to encounter this in Texas, but it was a very pleasant surprise that has become a family favorite.

Cute spot but a big NO for their food which was extremely disappointing since we were there celebrating a birthday. Our waitress was really nice but just a PSA, they don’t split checks for groups of 10+. We tried their chicharrón with queso (Flavor of the queso was good but there were some extremely hard chicharron pieces that were inedible. The sauce that was drizzled over was sweet which I did not like) mexican poutine (Using masa instead of fries was very strange. I think the dish would have been better if they used fries instead. There was also a hair in ours so we had to send it back), ceviche (Was pretty good but again, on the sweet side), tortilla soup (Tasted more like consume. With tortilla soup I expect more of a light chicken broth. This tasted more oily and the seasoning wasn’t giving “tortilla soup”, steak salad (Cotija dressing was a no for me but the steak was on point. Very tender) I think everyone in our party didn’t enjoy their food. Lots of full plates at the end. My friend ordered salmon tacos and her salmon was super hard. Will not be returning.

Came in solo and had a wonder experience! From the host to my waitress Savannah, I was felt welcomed. I was given Chips accompanied by salsa and a black bean dip. I ended up ordering the Pork Enchiladas and they were out of this world! The pork was juicy and tender, bits of fat helping it melt in your mouth. The mountain of tasty rice served was a plus too! All in all, for my first time, I will definitely be returning.

The carnitas tacos were so flavorful and delicious!! Great portion size. The nitrogen margarita was such a fun touch and honestly the smoothest ice drink ive ever had, we got prickly pear flavor. My friends & I met up at Beto & Sons. I ordered the quesadillas, and they were perfectly crispy on the outside and filled with flavorful beef & gooey cheese. The sides of dipping sauces and slaw added a nice touch. The mango margarita was refreshing and not overly sweet — a great balance with the meal. The overall vibe was casual and lively, and the service was solid. Definitely a good spot for Tex-Mex cravings!

I went to Trinity Groves to eat at Beto and Son. Their tacos were amazing. 10/10 must try. I just arrived in Dallas for the first time and this was better than the luxury restaurant I ate at the meal prior. I’m coming back here again tomorrow. Absolutely phenomenal food, service, and atmosphere. Timing was also great! Edit: I came back the next day at it was also excellent! I tried more sides and they were also good! The black eyed peas were incredible the honey biscuits are to die for and they were only 1.50 each!

I was in Dallas over the weekend for my birthday. This was our first stop for a great meal. It was recommended by a bartender at Jr's bar and grill. His advice was on point. I give lots of reviews, and I love giving positive write-ups. I rarely give 5 stars across the board, but this diner deserves the best because they are the best. I had chicken fried steak. My friend had the chicken and dumplings, which he said that to his surprise was just about as good as he'd ever had. His daughter had the chicken fried chicken. She ate nearly every bite and took what was left back to our hotel to polish off later. I'd say she enjoyed it.
Cecil M — Google review
We had a few dishes but the favorite was the chicken fried chicken boneless breast with a side of maple sugar honey Dijon Brussels sprouts. The sauce was more vinegar tasting so stay away from those and the apples law if you dont like vinegar flavorings. The deviled eggs had a touch of heat and we scarred them down. Overall, the place was quick, friendly, and the food was excellent, and the price was higher but in line with a table cloth eatery.
Nathaniel H — Google review
Heard they had great chicken here so as I was visiting the area I wanted to find out for myself. I tried the fried chicken. It was ok. I probably should have went with the broasted chicken maybe it's more flavorful. I just didn't think that would matter because the chicken itself is supposed to be marinated in a ton of flavor. I was really wanting crispy skin so I went with fried. But it seemed to be lacking flavor. What was outstanding though was the Maple Roasted Brussel Sprouts. Those are amazing. And the murals around the building are fun.

Gave this place a try since it has so many good reviews but it was disappointing. I had the waffle and chicken and it was completely tasteless, it’s eatable but there’s nothing special. A Dinner has more flavor than this place. Reviews are overrated, maybe because of the location but is not what it looks like. I was even the first person to arrive and thought it was going to be really good but it wasn’t. I don’t think I’ll come back.

Cindi’s NY Deli & Restaurant is a chain outpost known for its Jewish deli classics, all-day breakfast, and Southern homestyle dinners. The restaurant was founded by a hardworking Vietnamese immigrant with an inspiring story. It offers a relaxed atmosphere that keeps customers coming back year after year. Whether you're craving delicious pancakes and eggs or a New York Reuben, Cindi’s guarantees satisfaction.
I have come here three days in a row the food was so delicious. I give this place a 10 everything. They have not let me down. The customer service is immaculate here. Thank you, and you don't have to worry if I will be back because I will. The first time I came, I had the Country Fried Steak for breakfast yawl. They are better than I hop and Denny's hands down.
Tangela M — Google review
Cindy's is exactly what it puts itself out there to be, an old-fashioned deli/diner. There are standard fare breakfast items, along with all the deli sandwiches you'd expect. As is the cast in most northeastern restaurants, Cindy's also offers liver and beef tongue, which aren't normally found on menus in Dallas. Today we had hot pastrami sandwiches with potato salad and a side of onion rings. The pastrami was piled high, and the food was good. If you like delis/diners from the northeast than Cindy's is worth a try if you're near one.

Went to Cindi's today for brunch and decided to have BREAKFAST! I had the Bacon and Sausage omelette and the wifey had the Chicken Fried Steak Breakfast. We both had decided on the pancakes and hash browns as our sides. The protein portion of our food was excellent; my omelette was delicious and the wife enjoyed her steak. The hash browns and pancakes, however, left much to be desired. The hash browns were flavorless and soggy. The "crust" wasn't crispy, and overall they were passable. The pancakes were gritty gritty and "dense" (not fluffy). It was almost like eating a piece of flavorless French toast. We had to drown these dry pancakes in order to make them passable as well. The service was amazing and the prices are what you'd expect eating out these days. The atmosphere was welcoming and old school, reminiscent of eating with Grandma at her favorite diner. We'll definitely be back, just hope the sides are better next time!

I enjoyed my overall experience here. My waiter was friendly and attentive. Our food came fast and it was hot! I find the prices to be very reasonable especially with the portions. And overall the restaurant was a clean and open space. We ordered the Deli Omelette w/ hash browns and a side of pancakes. The Omelette was okay, I wish it would’ve came with cheese and some veggies, we ordered all the meats so it was kinda dry and just texture wise, needed more. Personal preference on the hash browns, we do like ours a little harder. The pancakes were thick and fluffy and you can’t go wrong with that. We also ordered the French toast, blueberry compote topping. I love these French toast, I would come back just for them. I just ordered cheese eggs on the side which you can’t go wrong with that. They also offer a bakery section with fresh goods. They allll looked so scrumptious and tasty, we will have to come back for that.

Ordered the corned beef turkey and Swiss sandwich. The turkey and corned beef was very fresh and delicious. The pickles are good the only thing was I wish I would’ve ordered the coleslaw instead of the potato salad maybe it would been more flavor to it. 9.5/10 :-)

I was starving so I stopped at Cindi's for lunch. The moment I but into my turkey melt I felt a rush of flavor and a feeling of satisfaction. The turkey was hot, the cheese melty, and the bread was crispy. The fries were super fresh and hot. Genuinely one of my best sandwich lunch experiences in Dallas in forever. Thank you, Cyndi's Deli! Can't wait to come back for another bite.

Eating at Cindy's was a pleasant experience there is a lot on the menu to choose from which is ok because it gives you a chance to try something different the next time you go. My brother's had the Reuben, The Reuben with corned beef, and a side of Corned beef, I had the fried catfish with fried okra. The food was good and fresh. There is a wait to get in which let's you know the food is really good. If you don't live in Dallas and can't make the drive often do yourself a favor and take a sandwich home for later and make sure you check out the dessert counter.

The restaurant is known for its convenient location near downtown, where customers can enjoy popular Vietnamese dishes. This place you will see a mininute is empty and few minutes later will be pack with people ordering order to go and also to dine in. Food always good. Pho is so good, but also if you go here you should try the rest of the menus so much good food.

Well, you’ve been warned! If you value your time and money, skip this place and head to a genuine Vietnamese restaurant instead. Let’s start with the summer rolls—dry as cardboard! The staff insisted they were made fresh, but I have my doubts. When it comes to pho, I was disappointed to find several questionable pieces of meat. It’s clear that freshness isn’t a priority here. The soup is pre-assembled, so you can’t really evaluate the quality before adding it to the broth. On a positive note, the broth itself has a lovely flavor, which I appreciated. However, as a southern girl who enjoys some heat in my food, I was surprised to find they charge $0.50 for each container of chili oil. And to top it off, you have to pay upfront, which can lead to unexpected costs by the end of your meal. The Thai tea was the smallest serving I’ve ever seen, and the pho noodles were a mix of gummy and chewy textures, suggesting a lack of consistency in their freshness. It felt like they were using a combination of fresh and older noodles, which really detracted from the experience. This is what happens when a delicate cuisine like Vietnamese food gets turned into a franchise. For a truly satisfying meal, I highly recommend visiting the authentic Vietnamese restaurant at 4302 Bryan St. in Dallas, TX 75204. You’ll thank me later! - Your Neighborhood Foodie

Flavorful Vietnamese Cuisine with Top-Notch Service I just had a fantastic meal at Pho is for Lovers. The pork banh mi was everything you'd want—crispy, fresh, and bursting with flavor. The beef pho had a rich broth and perfectly tender beef. The fried shrimp rolls were a crispy, delicious treat that I couldn’t get enough of. The Thai tea was creamy and refreshing, while the passion fruit juice had a bright, tropical taste that complemented the meal. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the place was spotless, including the restrooms. If you’re looking for authentic Vietnamese food, this is your spot!

I recently dined at Pho Is For Lovers and had a delightful experience. The pho broth was rich and flavorful, complemented by tender beef slices. The grilled pork banh mi stood out with its crispy baguette and perfectly charred meat

**My Go-To Pho Spot in Dallas – Absolute Perfection!** Let me tell you about my favorite pho place in Dallas – the one I visit at least once a week because I just can't get enough. The broth here is nothing short of incredible – deep, flavorful, and absolutely soul-warming. My usual order is the chicken pho with chili oil, and every single time it hits the spot perfectly. What makes this place stand out: - They always hook me up with extra onions when I ask (and I always ask) - The bamboo shoots and mint leaves come neatly packed separately so everything stays fresh - They include a disposable soup spoon which makes enjoying the broth so much easier - The portion size is ideal – satisfying but never overwhelming This is hands down my comfort food spot. The consistency is amazing – I've never had a bad bowl here. If you're in Dallas and love pho, you owe it to yourself to try this place. Just be warned: one visit and you'll be hooked like I am! **Best pho in town – no question.**

Delicious, extremely hot perfect temperature on the broth. Shrimp was a little thought but over than that everything was amazing. Loved the quiet and relaxed space. Clean dinning room and very lovely decor. Great experience and bold flavors. Definitely recommend and definitely going back for more of the menu item simple and elegant.

Food is food and the broth has good flavor. I do not think this is the best pho in Dallas (since I have been to many) but I think that is good enough given the price, portions, flavor and service. The place is clean and inviting, worth giving it a try

First time trying Vietnamese food 🍲 WOW! There is such a unique flavor profile and richness I didn’t expect in chicken broth. I got the chicken pho and it came with lovely rice noodles, strips of chicken, scallions, red onion, and bone broth. On the side of the dish were fresh jalapeño slices and lime with bean sprouts. The table has nice sauces to add to the broth as well to add heat or savory profiles. The portions are generous and the temperature of the soup is perfect for a winter day. I am absolutely coming here again!

Chinese restaurant
Wu Wei Din Chinese Cuisine in Plano Independence is a casual Chinese eatery that serves up traditional dishes in a modern setting. The restaurant offers a variety of options, including noodles, cucumber salad, fried chicken thighs, blazing tofu, scallion pancake, shrimp fried rice, chicken curry and veggie lo mein. It's known for its authentic and delicious Taiwanese cuisine. Customers have recommended trying the spicy beef noodle soup and xiaolongbao (soup dumplings).
This is my new favorite spot. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the glass area that lets you watch employees make dumplings by hand and its fantastic. The dining area is neat, clean and open. We ordered the cucumber salad, Pork soup dumplings, spicy pork wontons, and Taiwanese braised beef soup. Every item has its own unique flavor and with how varied the menu is, you're bound to find something you enjoy. Our server was fast, helpful, and attentive. The menu clearly states allergens and our server made sure our dishes were safe and made no contact. We were really happy with our food, the service, the affordability, and the experience overall. I recommend you come with atleast 2 others to sample as much as possible!

The cucumber salad and golden kimchi is must try appetizers perfect to start of the meal, very refreshing. Scallion pancake was really crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Soup dumpling was delicious and the sauce it came with was really good as well, it had sliced ginger in the sauce. Every dish was good and definitely will come back for more food.

We tried a variety of dishes at Wu Wei Din and had a great experience overall! The Beef Pancake Roll was my favorite—so flavorful and satisfying. The fried rice was a bit bland and the drinks were weak, but everything else was tasty and well-prepared. Check my photos to see everything we ordered! Definitely worth checking out in Plano.

the food was great !! the beef flat noodles were so flavorful and delicious, cucumber salad was refreshing and had good flavor and the soup dumplings were good. we wished that the portion for price for the soup dumplings was bigger, since they were a bit pricey but they were still very good nevertheless. we will definitely return here for special occasions :)

Absolutely fantastic Taiwanese cuisine! Wu Wei Din is easily one of the best Chinese restaurants in Plano. The Xiao Long Bao (Soup Dumplings) are a must-try—delicate, flavorful, and filled with perfect hot broth. The Braised Beef Noodle Soup is incredibly rich and comforting, and the Spicy Wontons have just the right amount of kick. Everything we ordered tasted incredibly fresh and authentic. Great atmosphere and attentive service, too. Highly recommend coming here for an amazing meal!

Everything was delicious! The orange chicken was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of sweet and tangy flavor. The pork chop fried rice was full of flavor and a great portion, and the soup dumplings were soft, juicy, and packed with broth. All the food came out hot and fresh — I’ll definitely be coming back!

I had lunch there on Sunday. The restaurant was spacious and clean, with a nice interior. The staff was friendly. I ordered dumplings, fried rice, and noodles. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. However, the food was a bit salty. However, a fruit fly kept circling the table during my meal.

Aug/2025, Sunday around noon, Wu Wei Din off Hiway 75. Careful when ordering takeout from their website, they tried to automatically add a $10.00 tip on my $60.00 takeout order! Busy place (good sign!), we ordered takeout, but could have been seated right away if we dined in (big restaurant). Ordered Sesame balls (they are small balls - golf ball size - so a much better blend of flavor compared to large sesame balls!). Sesame Chicken (actually fully breaded, with decent sized meat inside - not like some restaurants who skip breading and simply sprinkle some sesame seeds on top) total awesomeness!, Orange Chicken just as awesome as sesame chicken!!!, Szechuan Beef (nothing special but very good), Shredded Pork Fried Rice (Plenty of pork and good flavor). Will definitely return!!!

Restaurant
Las Palmas Tex-Mex is a vibrant restaurant housed in a bright pink building, offering creative south-of-the-border cocktails and Tex-Mex combination plates. The establishment hosts a generous happy hour from 2 to 6 pm with discounted draft beers, Ranch Waters, Old Fashioneds, and Margaritas alongside affordable Tex-Mex plates like crispy tacos, burritos, tamales, and nacho fries.
We had an incredible experience at Las Palmas Tex-Mex in Dallas — it completely lived up to the buzz and then some. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance hit all the right notes: relaxed yet elevated, with warm lighting, welcoming service, and a beautiful patio setting that felt unmistakably Texan. We started with their creamy queso, which came loaded with jalapeños and melty cheese — rich, comforting, and clearly made for sharing. The chips and salsa were outstanding: you get both a verde and a red salsa, and both had deep flavor with just the right amount of heat. Fresh toppings like chopped onions and cilantro elevated each bite. For mains, I ordered the brisket birria tacos, and they were spot-on — juicy, flavorful, and wrapped in lightly crisped tortillas that held together beautifully. The portion was generous and deeply satisfying. My wife had the fajita combo, which was served sizzling and then drizzled with bone marrow juice at the table — easily one of the most flavorful fajita presentations we’ve had anywhere. Every element was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Service was excellent — attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly — and the portions were hearty without being overwhelming. Las Palmas strikes a great balance between modern flair and traditional Tex-Mex comfort, making it a perfect choice whether you’re visiting Dallas or live here. Pro tip: come hungry and try the bone marrow fajita — it’s a standout. Verdict: 5 stars. We’ll definitely be back.

Service was kinda slow but the vibe and the food were more than enough. Got a reservation which was actually needed on a Monday night. Free valet was a nice touch. Queso was really good. Good drinks. Ambience and vibe overall make this a must go while in Dallas.

Wow! Great food, great atmosphere and great service! 30 minute wait - yet sat at the bar. There’s two bars within the restaurant. House margaritas weren’t strong but weren’t weak - perfect. Chips and salsa was plentiful for just one diner (just me). Salsas were very good! Chips tasted homemade! Highly recommended!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent food, service, and atmosphere! My wife and I stopped in for lunch for our very first visit, and it won’t be our last! The cozy atmosphere and background music made it feel warm and inviting. The chips and salsa were amazing, and the queso was creamy, cheesy, and full of flavor. At the owner’s suggestion, we shared the ½ order of ribs, perfectly seasoned, served over a bed of fries with charro beans on the side. We finished with sopapilla cheesecake à la mode. Perfectly baked and absolutely delicious. Everything about this meal was fantastic. We’ll definitely be back and will be telling others!

Friend and I went on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and it was amazing! The food was great and the service was amazing- but I really want to shout out whoever was bartender and made our classic frozen margaritas. I don’t usually order alcohol but I am so happy I did when I was there! Overall, great place and definitely recommend it!

We had a wonderful experience at Las Palmas! The staff was extremely courteous and attentive from start to finish. When my daughter ordered queso, we quickly realized it was far too spicy for her to enjoy. Without hesitation, the team kindly comped the dish—even though my son was practically licking the bowl clean because he loved it so much. Many of their dishes do lean on the spicier side, but I found them to be absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The ambience is hip, stylish, and fun—perfect for a night out. I’m already looking forward to patio weather so I can come back and sip on a margarita while soaking it all in!

Service is amazing every time we come in, food is good. I prefer the inside seating, but the patio is alright. I get the deluxe plate.the enchiladas suizas are a must too! Ask for the habanero salsa if you want something spicier. The frozen margs are super yummy and you only need one!

Restaurant
Cris and John is a Vietnamese street food restaurant located in North Texas, offering a variety of dishes such as pho, ramen burritos, banh mi, tacos, buns, dumplings, bao buns and chicken wings. The menu features reasonably priced items like $6 dumplings (served five to an order), $3.75 bao buns and $8 per half-dozen chicken wings.
Finally tried out Cris and John, and we were beyond impressed! Even with the thunderstorm and the long lines inside and outside, we didn’t hesitate and it was absolutely worth it. We waited about 25 minutes in line, and every minute was worth it! Their passion for blending Vietnamese and Mexican flavors shines through in every dish. Each item we tried was packed with mouthwatering fusion that perfectly balanced both cuisines. Hands down, one of the best fusion spots in DFW, highly recommend!

The hype is real, the place is great! Be prepared to wait in line, a lot of people want to eat here so keep that in mind, the place has gone viral a couple times, and for good reason! Everything we had was amazing, go with a platter, it feed 3-4 people! Best people to go with is people that like sharing food, try everything that comes in the platter. They also have great drinks! It’s a Vietnamese-Mexican fusion, the place is really clean and well organized, smells great in there!

Wow! What an awesome concept for fusion food. SO good! The Cariga Yellow curry flautas with rice were definitely the star of the show, super flavorful and so good. The Birria tacos were pretty good but they could use some flavor. The fried chicken tacos were also pretty good.
Stephanie E — Google review
The wait was two hours! You need to know what you want before reaching the register because once you’re seated, if you decide to order another drink or item, you’ll have to get back in line. I watched a party of two get seated at a four-person table while a two-person table sat empty and just needed to be cleaned. The line stretched all the way to the business next door, yet there were several empty tables waiting to be wiped down. There was only one person cleaning, which really slowed the flow of seating. When we asked our waitress for ketchup and more napkins, it took quite a while. One staff member mentioned that service was delayed because people were going on lunch breaks. For how busy it gets, they really need better coverage. Having one or two floaters—one for the kitchen and another for the dining area—would make a big difference on days like this. This restaurant would benefit from a reservation system or table service setup. I’d visit again, but probably not until next year when the TikTok rush dies down or they improve their system. The staff was friendly, but they ask for tips at the register after a two-hour wait, and since the servers only deliver food with no added service, I don’t think tipping is necessary. The food was good and served hot, which helped make up for the long wait.
J J — Google review
The food was good. We had the chicken pho burrito and it was heaped ion with emphasis Hoison and Siracha sauce. Tasty. The restaurant definitely has a street food stand vibe. Busy, alive and loud. If however you're looking for great traditional pho, there are better places. Pho I feel is all about the broth and with attention on their fusion, emphasis to get traditional stuff right gets diluted. However, I still think it's a great place for the asian fusion street food experience

Everything here is truly 10/10 and beyond! They absolutely nailed the Viet-Mex concept and brought it to life in such a unique and flavorful way. Every bite was incredible, and you can tell a lot of passion went into the food. We highly recommend trying the Phorrito and the Special Pho, but honestly everything on the menu is worth a try. Such an amazing experience—I can’t wait to come back!

I was pleasantly surprised with everything from beginning to end. Upon arrival it was busy, but the flow of the line and great customer service eased my anxiety. I’m back on my vegan journey and I must say the flavors from the vegan platter was amazing. Everything was cooked with perfection with a mouth full of delicious flavors. My daughter ordered a platter that also included quite a of food for a good price. I will definitely be trying again.

Kirin Court is a bustling Chinese eatery, banquet hall, and bar located in Chinatown. It's known for its all-day dim sum service and offers a diverse selection of around forty options, including soup dumplings, taro cakes, congee, barbecue pork buns, and chicken feet. The restaurant has been constantly reinventing itself with updated interior decor and website revamps.
The whole experience was astonishing! We were immediately attended to and given a table. The waitresses were so friendly and made the whole experience smooth and fast. The carts came around quickly and food was hot. Food was delicious, the dumplings and the beef noodle wraps had thin wraps which is golden. The waitresses were attentive on our tea and water refills. I had a really good time going and will definitely come back. I read the negative reviews before I went, scared me a bit, but I’m so glad I went and those negative reviews I did not experience.

Had dinner here to welcome a conference speaker. Very nice restaurant! Great dim sum. The food is fresh and delicious, especially liked the Lobster and Peking Duck -- full of flavor yet not too oily. The service is friendly and fast, and the environment is clean and comfortable. They go extra miles to make the customers happy. Good for casual or social. A great place to enjoy authentic dim sum with family and friends. As you can see we enjoy the food so much that I forgot to take a picture ahead of time. Definitely recommend.

Kirin Court is a must visit for Dim Sum. Located in Richardson, the popular Dim Sum haven has served up delicious food for several years. The service is welcoming and attentive. It's been multiple years since I've last visited Kirin Court. It was as good as I remembered it. Great place to get some dim sum. We can only a Sunday evening, and it was fairly slow at the time. It made chatting very easy. Highly recommend checking it out, if you've never been.

Came here on a weekday for lunch, not crowded. Not much food variety for dim sum. 2 carts came by but not very interactive with us, one of the ladies just came over next to our table but not offering anything from her cart 😅 We ordered a Pan Fried Spicy Clams. It tasted COLD, SOGGY, NOT PAN FRIED. It should be hot and spicy. We told them about it, they brought it into the kitchen and came out again. You can definitely tell they just microwaved it. It wasn’t hot at all. Very disappointed on this dish 👎🏼 I’m just glad I didn’t get food poisoning if the clams were not cooked properly.

He genuinely loves to take care of people and takes so much pride in his beautiful restaurant. It shows in every detail from the warm hospitality to the incredible food and atmosphere. Michael, Nick, John, Jimmy, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Jeng Chi Restaurant, located in Richardson, is a popular spot known for its classic Chinese cuisine. The menu features traditional dishes such as dumplings and noodles, along with a selection of wine, beer, and baked goods. One of the restaurant's standout offerings is the xiao long bao, which are described as small juicy on the menu and arrive eight to an order in a bamboo basket.
Jeng Chi is hands down my go-to Chinese restaurant in Dallas, and honestly, the best in town! Everything on the menu is top-notch, so you really can’t go wrong no matter what you order. One thing I always get is the Jasmine Green Tea, not just for the taste, but for the presentation too. It’s smooth, fragrant, and a perfect complement to any meal. Don’t skip on desserts! Their desserts are just as good as the rest of the menu and totally worth saving room for. Come early or make reservations because this place fills ups quick. Highly recommend!

Wow - this place was everything I hoped for and more! From the exceptional, warm, professional service to the sprawling yet cozy interior and of course the amazing food! We were fortunate to get there shortly after 5pm on a chilly, grey Saturday and only experience a 15 minute wait. When we left around 6:30 the lobby was packed with folks waiting for tables. Our server steered us in the right direction from entree selection to pro tips on eating soup dumplings correctly all the while remaining warm and attentive. Now for the best part - the FOOD! The hot & sour soup was the best I've ever tasted with a variety of mushrooms and flavorful broth. Next up was the onion pancake, perfect crispy/chewy texture and delightful for dipping. The spicy wonton appetizer was incredible, the SAUCE was hot and heavenly! 🔥 We debated several soup dumplings options but were pleased that we chose the curry chicken ones, my husband said these were one of the best things he's ever tasted.l and I have to agree. The delicately spiced filling inside of the silky dumplings was absolutely divine! We capped off our meal with the orange chicken, it was flavorful and the perfect combo of crispy, savory and a little sweet. We didn't save room for dessert, but will be back to try the beautiful pastries displayed in the cases at the front. The cocktails looked legit, although we opted for the blossoming flower hot tea.

Good service, but food was very disappointing. We ordered 7 dishes: the soup dumpling had thick dough, salty soup but no depth to it; wontons in chili sauce were overly salty; crispy duck was dry; fried vegetables were terrible — bok choy was old and stringy; lamb was too salty. Only the walnut shrimp stood out as good. Portions were small, and the bill for 7 dishes was over $150. If you look for good authentic chinese food, don't come here because this is chinese "american" standard food.

This place is a GEM! Handmade dumplings 🥟 are superb! Orange beef was so tender I could cut it with a fork. Hot and sour soup was the best I have ever had. Seaweed salad was definitely different than I’ve ever had. Crab rangoons had blue crab and the dipping sauce was excellent. I loved being able to watch them make the dumplings by hand. Very clean, great service and definitely worth every dime.

Fortune House Chinese Cuisine, a new addition to the Lower Greenville area in Dallas, offers an elegant dining experience reminiscent of Shanghai. The restaurant's beautiful decor, complete with hanging lanterns and open kitchen, sets the stage for some of the best Chinese food offerings in the city. Guests can indulge in favorites like dumplings, Pork Belly, and Crab Rangoons.
My husband and I sat for a lunch reservation at 3:45pm in the garden room. It wasn’t too busy, and we were seated immediately. Good to note that they do allow for a 15 minute grace period for reservations! The atmosphere was so beautiful. The music and lighting was really good actually. Our waitress, Grace, was so lovely and very helpful. She answered all of our questions and gave us suggestions and tips on how best to enjoy our meal! The September featured cocktail, Mizunara Sour, was so good and tart and refreshing. The star of the show was the Black Truffle soup dumplings with an honorable mention to the Shanghai Pork Noodles. We would absolutely return and would recommend to others!

Made a reserve for dinner. Restaurant seems to want timely customers as I received a 30-minute arrival confirmation call. A strict 1 and half hour table stay was communicated. Parking can be difficult to find in this area so a walk to the restaurant may be necessary. The wait staff was very friendly and prompt. They navigated us through the menu options. Slight wait on the food but around normal timing. Each of the entrees was flavorful and delicious. However, the rice seemed a bit dry. Asked for additional napkins and did not receive them. All in all, the experience was great, and the food portions were satisfying.

Order the spicy mapo tofu with minced pork and the pan fried pork buns. Got it on doordash, food got to me still hot and fresh! The mapo tofu is great, not super spicy maybe a 2/5 level of heat, so enough to give you a little taste but not enough to make you sweat over your dinner. Tofu was perfect, probably the best cooked tofu I've had in a while, super soft and melt in your mouth kind of texture. The pork buns were also outstanding, generous portions, soft fluffy bun with a crispy bottom with a juicy, juicy filling. Really have no complaints, maybe could get more spice in the mapo tofu if you are feeling brave but I'm on a business trip right now so I will happily enjoy the 2/5 spice for now haha.

We’ve never had a poor experience here in the past, but today was ridiculous. We waited about 20 minutes for one beer to come to the table. The shot that I ordered took Like 25 or 30 minutes so I ended up canceling the order. The food is still pretty good, I have no complaints about that. But from the hostess to the server, to the manager that just stood in the corner and did absolutely nothing the entire time, but be on her phone, this whole interaction was ridiculous. I don’t know when or if we will be back.

I had a fantastic experience at Fortune House! The food was absolutely delicious and everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The service was quick and attentive, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a great meal. Highly recommend to anyone looking for amazing Chinese food and a wonderful dining experience, definitely one of my favorite restaurants.

Food is great. If you’re expecting spicy though, don’t get your hopes up. My one complaint is service and restroom cleanliness. Service - why didn’t I get the necessary tools needed to eat? Spoons for dumplings, silverware for dessert, asked for sparkling water (pellegrino specifically) and the bar back responded ‘I’m just the bar back.’ Restroom cleanliness- restroom always feels dirty. I went once a year ago and felt the same recently. Pee all over seat, no paper towels to wipe hands, floor disgusting, trash over flowing, etc.

Chinese restaurant
China Blue offers an extensive menu dedicated to dumplings, featuring options like shrimp, pork, chicken, beef, veggie, and soup-filled varieties. Additionally, the restaurant serves wonton soup with choices such as spicy shrimp wontons or fried cheese in broth. Customers have enjoyed dishes like spring rolls and various types of dumplings. The ambiance is described as charming and reminiscent of a different country.
China Blue is located in a super convenient, busy plaza where you can find everything from groceries to bubble tea to salons. There’s always plenty of easy parking, which makes it a stress-free place to stop by for lunch or dinner. The food here is consistently amazing — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I’ve tried several dishes on the menu, and everything has been great, but the Guo Bao Pork is hands-down my favorite. Crispy on the outside, tender inside, and the sauce is just perfect. The service is also top-notch. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and always happy to offer recommendations if you’re not sure what to try. Insider tip: If you plan to visit regularly (which you probably will after trying it once), be sure to purchase one of their gift cards — they offer a huge discount, and it’s such a good deal that it pays for itself quickly. Highly recommend this place whether you’re dining in with friends, grabbing takeout, or celebrating a special occasion. You won’t be disappointed!

Great interior design of Chinese style. The Zucchini & Shrimp Dumplings and Dry Pot Cauliflower tasted so delicious; highly recommended. China Blue Soup Dumplings was just fine, as the dumpling skin was quite thick and too soggy. The Fried Pork Intestine tasted good but quite pricey.

This is a decent restaurant with good service. I was a bit confused by the menu though because they had everything translated in Chinese and English but were serving in English only...that's just a minor comment . The atmosphere was great and the food was decent. We ordered fried Bao, Guo Bao Pork, eggplant with fried pork and the Taiwan Fried Chicken thigh. All of the cuisines were good except the Taiwan Fried Chicken thigh. That one was simply blandish. Otherwise the rest were great 👍

I love the authentic flavors at this restaurant. The dishes taste like they stay true to traditional northeastern style Chinese cooking. Ingredients are fresh, and the seasoning is quite good without being too oily. The menu offers a good variety, and two times I’ve tried so far has been consistent in quality. It’s a solid choice for homemade Chinese food as a comfort for homesickness.

October 2024 Enjoyed this restaurant with different kind of Chinese cuisine. The honey glazed ribs were really delicious and tender. They do have some signature dishes recommended highly to try. The dumplings were always a little pricey. May 2025 Returned visit for lunch special. Enjoyed the egg drop soup. 宫保鸡 taste strange on the sweet side, not my expected. House special beef was pretty good with the green pepper.

Nice decorations restaurant but the food were pretty sweet for walnut shrimp and orange chicken. The beef flat noodles not flavorful enough, soup dumplings and crispy soft shell crab were very good! (As usual forget to take pictures before eating 😁)

First time here. Service was very slow and when we first walked in (wasn’t that busy) we stood there at the hostess desk waiting to get seated. Two workers walked past us several times and didn’t even acknowledge us. Not even a “just a minute”. After waiting like 7 mins awkwardly I asked do we just seat ourselves? Then they acknowledged us and said to wait a little longer. Now, as an Asian, I know service at some places can be challenging at Asian restaurants. Now let’s get to the food. Soup dumplings were ok. Mongolian beef was good, but a little too sweet Crispy beef was crispy, but also too sweet for me. Green beans were good Crispy dumpling was the best dish I would say Yao Fuzi’s soup dumplings, Mongolian beef and crispy beef are my favorite place for those dishes.
David K — Google review
Food was AMAZING! I originally stumbled upon this place from a tik tok i saw. Boy oh boy was I in for a TREAT. The food was absolutely DELICUOUS. I had the pan fried Blue boa buns, spring rolls, and crispy fish. Now I’m not sure what the name of the sauce (will find out on my next trip 😉) was but my friend and I HAD to take some TO GO. My friend ordered the spicy cabbage and spicy fried shrimp and that paired with the steamed rice was a great meal in itself! The ONLY negative thing I have to say bout china blue is they were out of the peach flavored Soju( which was my first time trying and a suggested flavor) so I was disappointed about that but QUICKLY GOT OVER IT when the food came out 😂 Dalier was our server and she was very nice and accommodating. I cannot wait till my next visit to try more menu items.

China Queen offers a variety of dumplings, including handmade pork and shrimp dumplings and crab xiao long bao. The menu also features classic pork soup dumplings and vegan options. While prices are slightly higher, the dining experience is delightful with dishes meeting high expectations. Popular choices include Garlic Spare Ribs and Beef Flat Rice Noodle. Customers highly recommend the fried rice and garlic beef, praising their flavors without being overly spicy.
Very authentic Chinese food in a convenient location and nice neighborhood. Great service and great private party rooms. Flavor represents Shanghai and east China area with elegant sweet and salt mixtures in layers to deliver the best taste and satisfactory. Enjoy very much and will come back many times for sure!

Their soup dumplings are excellent, love Tuesday soup dumpling special for buy 1 get 1 free. We had 4 orders and didn't have to fight for it. The chili fish head is surprisingly good. It is steamed to perfection, not over cooked and layered with Hunan chili sauce, perfect for your taste buds. The string beans are tender with bean sauce and every piece of string bean is flavorful. I also love their service, very friendly ladies here. Love the environment with fresh flowers too.

Warning: this is nothing like PF Chang’s. Very authentic Shanghainese dishes. Much to my surprise, everything was excellent because last time, I didn’t like the dishes. I only went because someone else was paying. It proofs that ordering the right dishes can make the experience totally different.

Had a good experience here. Being a pure vegetarian, I generally stay cautious with Chinese Restaurants, as I generally see eggs added to the dishes (by default). Conversation with the staff at China queen made me very much comfortable regarding veggie dishes. I got veggie dumplings from China queen yesterday night which was really great. Very good ambience and service from the staff. They were really awesome to explain to me the difference between dumplings and buns available. There are a great variety of vegetarian dishes which the restaurant is ready to customize per vegetarian's wishes. I will surely be dining with my family soon

Pappas Bros. Steakhouse, a renowned high-end steakhouse based in Houston with an additional location in Dallas, is celebrated for its exceptional wine list and commitment to quality meat. The restaurant's meticulous dry-aging process is closely guarded, reflecting their dedication to top-notch steaks. The menu showcases a variety of expertly seasoned steaks alongside an extensive wine selection of 3,500 bottles.
If you’re looking for a true five-star dining experience in Dallas, Pappas Bros. Steakhouse is it—no question. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable. Every second felt curated with precision and care, like they’ve perfected the art of hospitality. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, and made us feel like VIPs the entire night. The wine list? Massive. One of the most impressive selections we’ve ever seen—with expert recommendations to match. And the steak? Absolute perfection. Cooked exactly to order, seasoned flawlessly, and served with the kind of presentation that makes you stop and appreciate it before that first unforgettable bite. Whether it’s a special occasion or you just believe in treating yourself to the best—Pappas Bros. is worth every dollar. Highly, highly recommend.

We celebrated our anniversary here during Restaurant Week, and it was such a treat! They offered a 3-course menu for $59 or a premium option for $99. We decided to go with the premium menu, and I ordered the Lobster Bisque to start, the 2 lb Live Maine Lobster as my main, and the Turtle Mousse Tart to finish. Every dish was flavorful, filling, and beautifully presented. Our waitress was super friendly and bubbly, checking in often to make sure our drinks were topped up. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable, perfect for date night, a celebration, or even a business dinner.

Just wow! Pappas Bros did not disappoint! Our party of 2 had dinner reservations on a Wednesday night. We were seated right away and greeted quickly. It was my first time there, but definitely not my last. Everything from the service, the sommelier, the food, the ambiance, EVERYTHING was top notch! I tried a special wine from Portugal that was just devine and paired well with my filet. Everything we got was delicious and cooked exactly to temperature, but the standout was that chocolate cheesecake dessert special!! I would go back just for that. Highly recommend this place!

Oh my was the food scrumptious! Cooked fresh to order and our hostess was great. The decor fit all the variety of food you can order. It seems like a Louisiana feel with the music playing. The people were all enjoying the food and their company. I ordered the 2 piece Catfish and fried Butterfly Shrimp with fries. The restroom was very clean and loaded with all necessities. It was crowded but not too crowded. A perfect outing with friends and family. It did not disappoint.

My partner took me here before a 16+ hour flight to make sure I won't be hangry when I land. 😍 We had the pleasure of Chase and Simon guiding us through the ordering process of our meal and wine selection. They were both suggestive and not intrusive, and helped us made wonderful choices. When I asked to box my salad for the plane, they helped me with another loaf of bread and butter on the side & it was amazing at 30k feet. Though I am usually not a blue cheese fan, their iceberg combination with the candied bacon was to die for. The daily special lobster bisque did not disappoint & must be finished to the last drop! Fried Oysters were succulent! The steak is the star of the dinner texas style, along with mashed potatoes & bits of bacon. However, the key lime pie was more of a key lime custard & didnt hit the spot like the rest of the meal. Cant wait to be back and try the chocolate cake though 😋

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Experience at Pappas Bros. Steakhouse We decided to visit Pappas Bros. after reading so many great reviews, and let me just say—this place does not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the tone: elegant yet comfortable, with a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you feel like you’re in for something special. Our server, Tracy, was truly amazing. She was attentive, thoughtful, and made sure we were taken care of throughout the entire evening without ever feeling rushed. Her knowledge of the menu and thoughtful recommendations really elevated our dining experience. We started with oysters and crab cakes, both of which were absolutely delicious. The crab cakes were packed with flavor and had just the right texture, easily some of the best we’ve had. For our entrées, my boyfriend chose the chef’s special bone-in ribeye, while I had the porterhouse. Both steaks were cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of rich flavor. The bisque soups were velvety and decadent, and even the simple touches like their fresh, warm bread stood out. Every course felt carefully prepared and beautifully presented. We ended the night with a cheesecake to go, which was the perfect sweet finish to an already incredible meal. Overall, this was a 10/10 dining experience. The vibe, the food, and especially the service from Tracy made our night unforgettable. If you’re looking for a classic steakhouse experience done at the highest level, Pappas Bros. is absolutely worth it.

A little late to post this review, but we’ve been to Pappas Bros. Steakhouse in Dallas multiple times, and it’s absolutely amazing every single visit. The atmosphere, service, and food are all top-tier. Their steaks are hands-down some of the best we’ve ever had — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I’m not usually a cocktail drinker, but even the cocktails impressed me. Let’s not forget the house bread — fresh-baked with the perfect crisp and served with warm, rich butter. Truly unforgettable. We’ve tried both steak and fish, and everything has been cooked to perfection. Yes, it’s on the pricier side — but if you’re looking for exceptional quality and a true dining experience, it’s well worth it. We absolutely recommend this place and will continue coming back again and again!

Mexican restaurant
Meso Maya Comida y Copas is a trendy Mexican eatery that infuses contemporary flair into traditional Oaxaca- and Puebla-inspired recipes. The chefs at Meso Maya incorporate ancient Mayan cooking techniques and ingredients, drawing on culinary traditions from the Yucatan, Vera Cruz, and Chiapas. From rich adobos and salsas to hand-ground masa for tortillas, everything is made from scratch with a focus on historical cooking methods.
Authentic flavors and great service!” I had a wonderful experience at this Mexican restaurant. The food was fresh, flavorful, and tasted truly authentic. The tacos and enchiladas were perfectly seasoned, the guacamole was fresh and creamy, and the salsa had just the right kick. The portions were generous without being overwhelming. Big thanks for Fernando and the waitresses
Saad K — Google review
While the alcoholic drinks and chips and salsa were excellent—the salsa has a great kick and the chips are among the best I’ve had—the overall dining experience fell short. I didn’t enjoy any of the main dishes, and unfortunately, I will not be returning. It’s worth noting that many of the dishes have undergone recipe changes, which I wasn’t made aware of until after the food was served. That’s something I believe should be disclosed upfront—either on the menu or while ordering—not after the fact. On a positive note, the service was outstanding. The staff was very attentive, and food arrived in five minutes or less, which I appreciated. Still, given the disconnect between the menu and the actual dishes served, the food simply didn’t meet expectations.

Juan Diego was our server and made our dining experience A+. He was friendly and attentive. The manager stopped by to say happy birthday too and check on our dining experience. Came here for a late lunch with friends and had the best experience! Belinda was our server and she was very personable and attentive! While waiting for our appetizers, the manager Fernando brought over tacos de aguacate for us to try! Although it’s a simple dish it was so good! The avocado was perfect and the handmade tortillas were amazing!! I sadly was not able to try the cochinita pibil but I got the pollo con mole! I loved it! The portions are huge!! I loved the plantains that it came with! I love authentic mexican food and you can tell that everything here is fresh and made with care! It’s a beautiful restaurant with great food and a great staff! Will be returning the next time we’re in Dallas for sure!

El Fenix is a renowned Tex-Mex restaurant chain that has been a staple in Dallas since 1918. Despite being sold to an investment group in 2008, the restaurant's legacy remains strong.
That was by far the absolute best Tex Mex that I've ever had!!! Friendly and helpful staff, great atmosphere and delicious food! I'm only in Dallas one night. Staff from the W hotel recommended El Fenix to me as it's only a 7 minute walk. It absolutely made my visit to Dallas! Trying to figure out a way to bring some back to Louisiana with me in my luggage lmao

I had a delicious lunch experience here. I ordered a fajita plate that was incredibly tender and delicious. My only complaint, and the reason for my four stars, is I expect an authentic Mexican restaurant to make their own flour tortillas. To use packaged flour tortillas should be a crime for any Mexican restaurant. Other than that the atmosphere was great and food was good.

I just stopped in for a quick bite and a marg because it's August jn Texas and that's how we keep cool and I love every single thing about this place. The story, legacy, authenticity, ambiance and staff were amazing. I ordered simple and fast this time with bean and cheese nachos because I was pressed for time and they came out super fast and hit the spot! I'll be back for an actual meal soon, although for $8.99 for nachos, I'm full and happy, so that might be my thing here! Viva El Fenix! 🇲🇽

Decent spot for Tex-Mex food. It’s an open space with plenty of seating and there’s a good energy. However, it’s not the most flavorful food and the service can be average. In short, nothing stands out. Well, the prices are wonderful. Quite affordable. Overall, It’s a solid choice but there’s many options for Mexican/Tex-Mex that offer a superior experience, but you will pay a decent amount more.

Fearings Restaurant, located within the upscale Ritz-Carlton in Downtown Dallas, is a sophisticated Southwestern-inspired dining destination. Helmed by renowned chef Dean Fearing, the restaurant offers innovative New American cuisine with a Southwestern twist. The menu features unique combinations such as antelope with cactus pear glaze and Guinness chocolate cake with orange curd and cider beer ice cream. The elegant interior includes seven distinct settings, including a garden-facing glass pavilion and an intimate wine cellar.
We had high expectations and they were definitely met. The staff in the hotel and restaurant were so helpful and friendly. They went out of their ways to make our visit perfect. We even got a backstory on the drinks we picked. It was a lovely touch. All of the food was excellent. The chicken fried lobster was delicious. The sweet lobster contrasted nicely with the breading. The whole experience was worth repeating.

This place has a vegetarian menu and I'm all for it. Let's start with the bread, make sure you ask for more shiner bread, it's delicious. Unfortunately for us, they ran out when we were there. The surf and turf was fantastic. While the steak was what I expected from a high end restaurant, the fried lobster blew me away. My favorite of the night were the vegetarian appetizers. Both the tortilla soup and mini tacos blew me away. Both 5/5. However, I was left pretty disappointed with the Mexican sampler. The spinach enchiladas were okay, while the other two were just bad. You can do vegan/vegetarian entres with flavors and this was not shown in this dish. We also had the fearing old fashion, which I appreciate the sweet mellow scent vs the typical pungent scotch smell.

A great restaurant in an equally great hotel. The service was impeccable with all staff members being friendly and helpful. The overall ambience of the restaurant was bright and open. We were seated in a booth close to the kitchen but we didn't notice the sound. We started with the Southwest Sampler. The crab cakes were fried perfectly, the short rib enchilada was a little too sauce heavy but still delicious, and the lobster tacos were delicious...but let's be honest, the tacos were one bite and not two bite. My gf had the Chilean Sea Bass and I ordered the Antelope over Mole Rojo with Rabbit Enchilada. Both the sea bass and the rice it sat on were cooked perfectly. Absolutely delicious dish that I'll order next time for myself. I'm usually disappointed with rice in Texas so this was a pleasant surprise. The antelope was amazing. Whenever I see it on a menu, I always order it and I encourage everyone to try it. The only miss on this dish was the rabbit enchilada. The meat was a little dry and there was a bit too much cheese for the size of the enchilada. Overall, this a great dining experience and I highly recommend it.

Our dinner at Fearing’s last night was absolutely exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the service, atmosphere, and attention to detail were flawless. Jesus was our server, and he went above and beyond — incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience feel special. Every course was perfectly prepared and full of flavor, from the appetizers to dessert. The presentation, timing, and energy of the restaurant made for one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Dallas. Highly recommend asking for Jesus when you visit — he truly elevated the evening!

Want to impress the people you’ve invited to dinner? This is the place! We didn’t have a reservation yet the hostess not only got us in but set us up at a lovely booth. The food was interesting and flavorful, the buffalo fantastically seasoned. We unfortunately didn’t have time for dessert due to an event we already had scheduled but we found some surprise petit fours in our to go bag. Dinner was so impressive we went back for breakfast. Everyone was attentive making the meals a memorable experience.

The decor definitely pays homage to Texas and its influence on the cuisine at Fearings. The food is inventive Texas cuisine with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. The menu is simple yet bold. The cooking techniques are spot on, and the flavors are bold. The appetizer sampler is a must try. The short rib enchilada is crave worthy. The mini crab cakes were a tad on the salty side but were still very good. The South Texas antelope dish was a really good composed dish. The "mole" that comes with the dish had an off-putting texture and mouth feel. The braised rabbit emchilada served with the grilled antelope was incredible! I still prefer the signature filet with chicken fried lobster, though. The bread service was really good, with three different bite-sized breads served. Service was very professional and helpful. They know the menu really well.

We were there for my husband’s celebration, and the atmosphere, service, and food made it truly special. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Great little deli with a lot of yummy food inside. Amazing sandwiches and salads both pre-made and custom. Large variety of drinks and bread. It’s not often that I see extraordinary customer service. So, I was surprised when I had to return something to Eatzies on Oak Lawn. The manager was kind and discrete. She acknowledges that the item had a problem. And quickly offered to replace it or return my money. This, on a crazy Texas OU weekend and at lunchtime. I asked if there was water, to which the girl quickly called the back to get , asking if I wanted ice. We ate in the back, and the girl working the very busy counter saw that my husband’s tea was low and quietly took it, put more ice in it and tea a put back on our table. It’s mind boggling. They deserve praise for their level of service.

Disclaimer – I have been eating here before there was ever a social media in existence. I have been eating here when I was in college and the Internet is just becoming a thing. I used to eat here multiple times a week. In my eyes, these people can do no wrong. It was the most affordable and delicious food for a student eat. When I stop by, I still find the prices extremely reasonable and the food just as healthy as ever. My pictures and videos can’t do it justice. It’s a huge selection and no matter your diet, there will be something here for you.

Subject: Unacceptable Experience – Poor Quality, Rude Staff, and Unsanitary Conditions To the Eatzi’s Oak Lawn Team, I’m writing to express our serious disappointment with a recent visit, and to share why we won’t be returning. We came in to purchase a cake for our sister’s birthday after having a fantastic experience with a previous one. Unfortunately, what we received this time was an embarrassment. The cake was dry, flavorless, and clearly not made with the same level of care or quality. It was a major letdown on a day that was meant to be special. On top of that, the customer service was awful. The staff was rude, unhelpful, and acted like we were a burden rather than paying customers. There was no basic courtesy or professionalism. And to make matters worse, as we considered purchasing additional food, we caught a glimpse into the kitchen area. What we saw was completely unacceptable. dirty floors and visible mold on the shelving. After seeing that, we immediately decided not to buy anything else. It was disturbing and completely undermined any confidence we had in the cleanliness or safety of your food. We came in expecting quality and hospitality. Instead, we left disappointed, frustrated, and concerned. I’m not looking for a gift card or apology template, I just want you to know how far this experience fell from what Eatzi’s used to represent.

I ordered a 9-inch cake, but they sent me a 4-inch instead. There’s no option for a refund—what bad service! I’ve been ordering the same cake every month, and this has never happened before.

Celebration Restaurant, located on West Lovers Lane in Dallas, is a beloved home-cooking spot that has been serving up delicious dishes for over 50 years. The restaurant offers homestyle pot roast, fried chicken, and cobbler in a relaxed, family-oriented setting. One of its unique features is the option for seconds on most entrees at just $3.95 per full portion.
Highly recommend! Love, love, love the separate rooms! Made it feel very intimate/cozy. We tried their tortilla soup (very delicious), pear salad (not a fan of blue cheese), garden salad (their croutons are yummy!) chicken fried chicken (tender chicken with a yummy crispy batter), chicken fried steak (very good), trout (a little too buttery for me), red fish (delicious), mashed potatoes (like any other restaurant mash), macaroni and cheese (bland, needs more cheese/seasoning), vegetable medley (good), berry cobbler (good), coconut cream pie (if you are a coconut lover like me, you’ll love this) and banana pudding (it was a no for me). Will definitely return!

Wow. I haven’t had a $20 meal that good in a long time. Very very good. The place has a homey feel, very attentive and friendly waitstaff. I got the trout and spouse got the chicken fried chicken. My fish was great and the tartar sauce was the best I’d ever tasted. We got spaghetti squash, mashed potatoes, and green beans/carrots family style sides. All good but we got seconds of the squash. Finished off with the chocolate pie. Yum!

We went to Celebration for dinner with family during a recent trip to the Big D… venerable old school place, around for decades. The place is cool in appearance, stone building, nice outside patio! The appeal is nostalgia… not good quality food IMHO. The table ordered soup, fried chicken, fried catfish, baked chicken, grilled salmon, and a handful of sides. The lentil soup was very good, but everything else was just OK! None of the food was particularly hot, and with fried food, it’s gotta be hot! The veggie sides were warm at best… seemed most of the food was cooked in advance, which allowed for speedy delivery, but quality suffered. Desserts were also just OK, even the kids didn’t finish them. Service was great! But, beyond that, our visit was disappointing. The place had received a lot of hype from family. We don’t need to go back.

A home style kitchen with shareable plates and local ingredients 🥕 🍖 Pros: - accommodating staff - quiet interior - good spacing between tables - cozy and warm - affordable prices - locally sourced ingredients - fresh flavors and changing menu - the best dinner rolls on the planet Cons: - feels like someone’s house, not in a good way - no decor at all. Zero. - very cramped parking lot with bad accessibility - flavors are overtly rich and over complex - very dark inside, only harsh overhead lighting - not set up for sound dampening, very loud Overall I’m glad I came so I could try the chicken, but once was enough. I will definitely not be coming back to try more of the menu or recommending this place to anyone.

I love it here ♥️ the food is amazing! It’s honestly super tasty. I love the whole house comfort and the service is spectacular. My brother in law brought the whole family over to this spot in August and now my husband and I have been coming almost every weekend. I always order the catfish plate and let me tell you that it’s the best fried catfish I ever had. My daughter loves their rosemary chicken it’s very juicy and flavorful

Celebration has hosted many a family dinner for four generations in our family over the years, most recently for a weeknight dinner with me and my parents. Our server Jackson was attentive, knowledgeable, and just a generally pleasant person. The iced tea was very fresh and my glass was never less than half full, with more ice added on every refill. All of the breads are delicious, my mom prefers the jalapeno cornbread, my favorite are the blueberry muffins, and my dad prefers the more traditional white bread biscuit/rolls. It’s nice that we can each get more of what we want! My dad and I ordered from the daily specials menu, the pork chop with cherry mostarda and southwest chicken. My husband ordered the pot roast and my mom the chicken fried steak. We ordered spinach, fried okra, and mashed potatoes for our sides. The sides are served family style, but you can have seconds on these, and even change sides if you like. We were too full, as this was plenty of food for the four of us on the first course! The atmosphere is charming with remnants of nostalgia in the pictures and wall hangings, and the little enclaves, or smaller dining rooms, really make it feel like you’re eating dinner at home, just out with other people. We’ll be back for sure, thank you for your consistent service and delicious locally sourced menu!

We had the Chicken Fried Chicken and the Walnut Crusted Chicken — both were absolutely delicious! We sat outside and loved the relaxing atmosphere. The waiters were very friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. Everything was satisfying all around. Highly recommend this place!

We enjoyed sitting in the outdoor patio. It would be fun on a cool night with their fireplace. I had the chicken salad, which was fine. Nothing spectacular. One person in our party had the all vegetable plate which they liked a lot. I’m not sure if the desserts live up to their hype. I probably would go try this one more time just to be sure if this was my first time there.

The Porch is a lively gastropub located in the Knox-Henderson neighborhood, offering upscale comfort food and creative cocktails, wine, and brews. The Stodg Burger, named after Dallas lawyer Steve Stodghill, is a must-try with its indulgent combination of flavors including cheddar cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, fried egg, and foie gras spread on a thick burger.
My husband and I had an enjoyable late lunch. The food was absolutely delicious. The waitress, Joy, was amazing and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was very nice. Drinks were well made. We will definitely be back!

I had the pork belly club sandwich. The sourdough toasted bread was perfect, the pork belly was very delicious but a bit tough. It was supposed to have green tomatoes, but I only saw a small piece and it had too much dressing. I still enjoyed it. Fries were OK. Wife had the brisket tamales which were excellent but tiny. Perfect for her. Beans portion was also tiny 10-12 beans total, but they tasted great. Rice was ample but a bit bland. The yellow color was beautiful but not indicative of the taste. She really wanted the poke bowl though, but they were out of the ingredients necessary - we were having a late lunch at 1:30 pm. Service was superb overall. We had a nice time and enjoyed the meal.

Second time I have been here in recent weeks and I really enjoyed my dinner of chicken fried steak with a side of buttery mashed potatoes and a small side salad (mixed greens) with a balsamic dressing. My wife had the Porch Salad with grilled salmon on it for her entre. It was very good but they put a little too much dressing on it in her opinion. Mother-in-law had the roasted tomato soup!! Very good but a little thick for a soup. Our server was new and she was fantastic. The reason for a four on service was there were a bunch of staff just standing around when we got there and the initial service was a bit slow. The first time we went, it was very slow and the guy who brought out are food seemed rude. Parking is valet only which I don’t particularly care for the fact that there is not much of a self parking option. My previous visit a few weeks ago we came for brunch and I enjoyed a very good burger and fries plus a delicious cinnamon roll that was large enough to share.

We went to The Porch for lunch. Monique was a great server. She made sure we had a lovely experience. The Club was yummilicious. We got it warmed with some extra mayo on the side per Monique’s suggestion. The hot chicken sandwich was moist and had the right amount of crispiness and flavor. I got it with BBQ sauce instead of Nashville hot just based on my taste preference. I think it’s chicken thigh but was delish nevertheless. Fries and side salad were as expected. The finale, a perfect bite of the fried butter cake with the ice cream and caramel sauce was like nothing I’ve ever tasted. Sooo good.

This is a wonderful place to grab dinner if you are looking for a moodier vibe. The ambience in the evening is somewhat dark and perfect for a date night. The cocktails were good but the cuisine was even better. We took kids because we’re from out of state but you know what? It worked! Get the half chicken. It was divine. The capers gave it a special twist.

The food was Fabulous. As we do everywhere, we pretty much ordered one of everything but the Porch Salad and Crab Cake were to die for. The Spinach dip was also phenomenal. I could go on and on about the food but really I’d love to go on and on about our server Elliot. A true professional. The service was on par with a Michelin Star. Thoughtful recommendations, impeccable timing and flawless customer service from start to finish. Food was Fabulous but Elliot was the true star of the show

Wow, ten out of ten! This will be a staple from now on. Not only did they accommodate the request for chicken fried steak at brunch even though it’s a dinner only item, they were so friendly and attentive. Thank you so much! If you want some insanely mouth watering CFS and mashed potatoes. Go to The Porch! P.S. If the valet says there is a long wait time, ignore them and check for yourself. We were told 40 minutes by the valet but parked anyway and were seated immediately.

Maple Leaf Diner is a cozy Canadian-themed outpost that offers a variety of classic Canadian dishes such as poutine, along with well-executed fried chicken and all-day breakfast options. The diner's menu features boneless fried chicken options like tenders and chicken fried chicken, as well as indulgent chicken and waffles variations. In addition to the savory offerings, patrons can enjoy an array of comfort food favorites including fish & chips, Greek omelets, and smoked salmon eggs Benedict.
High prices equals huge portions! If it's not homemade I'd be very surprised! Chicken Fry and pot roast was definitely not pre-made. Hard to tell about the fish and chips but did not taste pre-made. Everything was great including our waitress!

I've never been here before but I had a good time. Our waitress was good and she was on the spot. She was just a little too anxious at times when she came to our table two times in short consecutive times to see if we were ready to make our order. Otherwise, I enjoyed my waffles, and I enjoyed my food. Our waitress was also very good and kept our drinks flowing and checked on us to make sure everything was good. 👍👍

Came by for brunch on the weekend with my friend, my first time and had a really good experience. We went on Saturday afternoon, and it was actually very busy, booths along the wall and tables in the centre. We ordered Poutine with white gravy and Chicken & waffles with turkey sausages. The food was actually decent, the home fries were crispy. Chicken tenders were juicy and the fries to gravy ratio was good. Big portions but wonderfully cooked.

Generous portions with plenty of menu options, including some unique dishes you don’t often find. The food presentation is impressive, and the service is excellent. It does get busy and crowded, but the staff handles it well. While food can take a little time, everything runs efficiently overall. Reasonable prices

This was our third time at Maple Leaf Diner, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious — we had chocolate chip pancakes, cinnamon roll pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, and French toast. Everything came out fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. Service is always on point, even when it’s busy. We only waited about 10 minutes for a table, and the staff was friendly and efficient. The vibe is classic diner comfort, great for small groups or families.

As a lifelong fan of waffles and breakfast, this is the best for chicken/bacon/waffle ever! The waffles had a light crisp with a very light interior. The chicken was moist, and fried to a crispy perfection. The Canadian maple syrup drizzled over it all topped it all off! Great service, efficient, and reasonable prices.

French restaurant
Toulouse is a warm eatery in Dallas that offers a menu of French bistro classics both indoors and on a covered patio. The restaurant is known for its perfectly fluffy beignets served with a rich cappuccino dipping sauce, as well as dishes like Orange French Toast topped with powdered sugar, berries, and mascarpone cheese.
GREAT FOOD OPTIONS AND SPEED OF FOOD ON A BUSY NIGHT WAS TOP NOTCH They have a robust menu, friendly and attentive service, my water glass was never empty even on a busy Christmas night. Ordered the lamb shank, it was tender and well flavored - very delicious. I would definitely order it again. I subbed out the green peas for asparagus, our server Eduardo was very accommodating and great. I’m not a fan of soufflés usually, but this one was delicious! Slightly egg forward but so light and fluffy and decadent - it was well done and worth getting again!

Absolutely everything on the menu was 10/10 Went for Valentine’s Day. It was super packed and waited 30 minutes after our reservation time. The managers were very polite though and the waiter (Eduardo) was very thorough with answering our questions and attending to us! Would definitely come back and try other food options again!
Lola B — Google review
Toulouse is one of those restaurants that has all of the ingredients to be great, but in the end, leaves me feeling disappointed. Let me be clear on why. It’s not the service or atmosphere. Our server, Abigail, was excellent. She knows how to be attentive to your needs but not obtrusive. The bistro vibes and multiple seating options both inside and out provide different environments to suit a variety of preferences. It’s the food that lets it down. Specifically, certain elements of a dish. For example, the deviled eggs would have been excellent except the truffle flavor was so strong that it overpowered everything else. The steak was cooked perfectly but there was a slight toughness to the texture that made it feel like a lower grade piece of meat. The bearnaise sauce was ok and consequently didn’t enhance my bite when I added it to the steak. The profiteroles didn’t taste freshly made. The gelato was great but the sauce tasted like Hershey’s syrup. The food is by no means terrible. For the price point, however, I expect the food to match the excellent service and atmosphere.

I loved this dining experience with my friends and family. Servers were nice, too. However, our dishes were a bit overcooked or undercooked, and my mom’s salmon was pink inside. The dessert was great though. We got cheesecake and soufflé. It’s also EXTREMELY loud inside, and you basically have to yell to be heard. There were also many people. Still a great place to have a dining experience. Would recommend a large group for it.
TCMFatbird — Google review
I highly recommend the brunch at Toulouse. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a nice morning with views of Knox Henderson. We got the quiche and avocado toast and found both to be very high quality for the price point. I hope to come back for brunch again and to try their other opportunities.

Brought my mom here for Mother’s Day weekend and wow! The Beef Bourguignon ($34) and Trout Almondine ($29) were spectacular. I had the Off with Her Head cocktail ($13) and really enjoyed it as well. Patio vibe was phenomenal however our tables were so close together I almost couldn’t get in and out of my seat. Our server, Lee, was delightful. She took excellent care of us!

We ordered the fried calamari, which came in small portions. Adding fried vegetables sounded like a good idea, but they were pickled and overly salty—definitely not what we expected. The rest of the food was okay, though it didn’t quite live up to the restaurant’s high rating. Unfortunately, a fly landed on the complimentary bread just as I was spreading butter, and it got stuck—raising concerns about cleanliness. The one highlight was the staff: friendly and welcoming, which made the experience more pleasant despite the disappointments.

Malai Kitchen is a vibrant bistro that brings the flavors of Thailand and Vietnam to life in a stylish setting, complete with an inviting patio. For over ten years, this culinary gem has delighted diners not only with its delectable dishes but also with its unique nano brewery. Here, you can savor specialty beers crafted from kitchen ingredients, such as the refreshing Bia Hoi lager or adventurous brews like Peach Tea Wheat and Thai PA—infused with aromatic herbs and spices.
I recently visited Malai Kitchen in Dallas with a friend, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, especially if you love spicy flavors — just ask for extra spicy if that's your preference! One standout was their refreshing sugarcane juice; I highly recommend trying it, as the flavor is truly delightful. We enjoyed all the dishes we ordered and found everything to be flavorful and well-prepared. The atmosphere is nice for hanging out with friends, and they also have a good selection of drinks to complement your meal. The only challenge is parking around the restaurant, so plan accordingly. Overall, a great spot for flavorful food and good company!

Very authentic. The Coconut Soup is the closest dish to Tom Yum Soup. It's quite sour, and goes really well with rice. Then we ordered Pad Thai. Also, the Vietnamese Pho and curry lamb we had were all very delicious. Only the Pad Thai was a bit too salty; everything else was great. The serving was a bit slow, but the restaurant environment was nice.

I had bookmarked Malai Kitchen and was thrilled to finally dine there. The restaurant was bustling that evening, but we were seated right away upon arrival. The service was exceptional from start to finish. They offer a full bar with a solid selection of beer, wine, sake, spirits, and cocktails. I enjoyed their house IPA and highly recommend it. We were served complimentary sticky rice with sauce while we decided on our starter and main course. The shrimp spring rolls made for a tasty appetizer, and the Bangkok Street Fried Rice and Glass Noodles were outstanding entrees. The flavors were vibrant, and the spice levels were perfectly tailored to our request. The restaurant’s ambiance is warm and modern. Parking is available at the mall or on the street. Pricing: Moderately high, but well worth it for the quality.

Delicious Asian fusion dishes! We tried the Malai favorites sampler - which was surprisingly tasty for every item on the dish, especially the chicken satay! Our table tried the chicken pad Thai, pad see ew, pineapple fried rice, and panang curry bowl. Everything was great and the spice level was moderate for our group. Their drink menu was also fun to try including the sugar cane juice and ginger refresher! This location is inside a shopping area and it may be difficult to finding parking. We ended up doing street parking and walking a bit to the restaurant. Thankfully no wait for us and the staff was very kind and patient with our large group, offering fan favorites and recommendations.

It was our first time dining at Malai Kitchen and we were very pleased with the experience. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. Staff members were kind and attentive – shoutout to our waitress Vy who made our first time dining here great. We ordered the Malai Favorites Sampler, Thai Chicken Wings, North Atlantic Artic Char, Drunken Noodles and the Beef Tenderloin Panang Curry Bowl. For dessert, we had Tiramisu (we were told it’s a limited time/specialty dessert item). We came hungry and Malai Kitchen did not disappoint. Beyond the food, the restaurant is cute with a warm, cozy environment – perfect place for date night or family dinner. Definitely one of the best places of its kind in the area – we will be returning!

First time visit this restaurant several weeks ago with coworkers for birthday celebration. The atmosphere, the environment and the servers are great and amazing. However, the foods were not authentic or good. I had their Thursday lunch special and it tasted differently, even though it was a curry noddle soup, I could barely taste any curry or anything that could stand out. I was quite disappointed. I chatted with my other coworkers and they said their dishes of pad Thai, fried rice and others were okay, not that’s great. Since two of my coworkers had their birthday, the server was amazing to bring out the ice cream and I had to say that was the best things we had that day. Foods were not as great, but service and the atmosphere was outstanding.

Mia's Tex-Mex Restaurant has been a beloved Dallas establishment since 1981, offering classic Tex-Mex cuisine in a casual and vibrant setting. The restaurant is known for its brisket tacos, homemade rellenos, and delicious chimichangas, all made with the freshest ingredients. The interior features colorful walls, vinyl tablecloths, and kitschy decor, including memorabilia such as a portrait of Dallas Cowboys' coach Tom Landry.
A great Tex Mex establishment with a family atmosphere and a large, bright dining room of many tables with a bar at the entrance. The brisket tacos were great along with the frozen house margarita. We arrived without reservation on a Friday evening, and though it was popular they were able to seat us after one drink. There is a small valley parking lot next to the building and free street parking nearby.

Parking is horrible, had to take a star off because there’s nowhere to park. Service was the worst, the waiter came by once. Guacamole was really good and a good size. Sour cream enchiladas were good as well, very flavorful. The tamale dinner was disgusting. Never order this plate. Over experience was rough. Do think I’ll come back.

I’m from Houston, where the best Tex-Mex is, so when I say this place’s food was good, that should mean a lot. In fact, this is the first Tex-Mex restaurant in DFW (besides the chain, Rosa’s, that I’ve given 5 stars to yet- and I’ve lived here for ~5 years. Cons: -The chips were a little too thick/tough -Not enough rice was given for the lunch special chicken fajitas -The parking lot was full, and valet-only, so we had to park 2 blocks down on the street in front of some houses Pros: -Juicy, marinated chicken fajita meat -Fluffy, fresh-tasting tortillas -Good onions with the fajitas -Nice staff -No wait to be seated -Spacious restaurant

Gloria’s has a beautiful interior and good service. We were disappointed by the vegetarian fajitas - the grilled veggies did not have much spices. The veg enchiladas were better. Margaritas are quite good.

Normally, Gloria’s is a slam dunk. Food, service, atmosphere are all working in tandem for an amazing dining experience. Today the food and atmosphere was in check but the service was severely lacking. I almost was able to capture a photo of the 4 servers at a wait stand about 6’ from our table, just standing around and enjoying the Gloria’s social club. However, as soon as they saw my phone aim their direction they scattered like creatures afraid of light. A manager did pass our table early once and everything was fine at that point. After that pass by, it went downhill rapidly. No refills, attempts to get attention or ask for our server went unanswered. When we asked for our check to a passing waitperson, we were told that we are not their table but they will find someone to help. The food was delicious. Truly, the food always slams at Gloria’s. This visit was highly marred lackluster and not up to par service. We will return as we choose to believe this is a one off.

Our food wait times were all very short and drinks were NEVER empty. We had delicious HOT tortilla chips w red salsa, green salsa, and black bean paste the second we sat down. They were ALL delicious. Oscar even gave us more chips when we were only about half way finished, just to make sure they stayed hot! The pupusas were delicious and the side cabbage like dish paired very well with it 8.4/10(idk what it was exactly, but it was good!) The margarita was STRONG, but smooth, 8/10.My horchata was unique compared to most, almost like a toasted cinnamon taste, 9.2/10. Tamarind drink was delicious aswell, my first time having that 8/10. Enchiladas were excellent 8/10, along with great rice and beans! The steak was a good 7.6/10, i didnt expect the best steak from here, but I was not disappointed. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Parking gets tricky during the weekends and Friday nights due to all the cool places around. There is a parking garage not very far away.

Great place and service. Many different options and the black bean dip is exceptional. The server was very nice and attentive. Definitely will return

Went here for dinner. The food was great, the prices were good and the service was good as well. My favorite item was the pupusa.

I’ve been coming to Gloria’s Addison for the last 20 years with no complaints about food or service. They create a great atmosphere and drinks are always great. But I’d say today I had the best service to date. Erick was fantastic as a waiter - wonderful personality and great service. And, beyond that, Maureen, the manager, was the epitome of leading by example. I watched as she was attentive to all customers and waitstaff. My client noticed the level of service as well, so I thank you for creating a great lunch.

Love this place! We ate here at least twice during our week-long convention. Great bar, with some unique beverage ideas and a very strong menu. I tasted a lot of food, and was never disappointed. They even deliver chips, beans, and 2 salsas to the table when you arrive. I am sure we will be back, as they can also field larger groups of people and parties for business or personal use. This is a family owned chain, not a franchise.

Tex-Mex restaurant
E Bar Tex-Mex is a vibrant bar and grill in East Dallas that offers a delightful selection of beer, wine, and colorful cocktails. Established by Eddie Cervantes, the restaurant provides an elevated Tex-Mex experience with regional Mexican dishes. The venue boasts a stylish bar, excellent service, and late-night hours for satisfying those post-dinner cravings.
E Bar Tex-Mex is one of my favorite places to eat. I love their chips and salsa and their Tortilla soup is delicious. I got the Tortilla soup and salad. The salad that came with it is more like a Mexican salad, but I am picky with my salad and I cut all of that off. My husband had chicken enchiladas with sour cream and he said it was very good. If you like margaritas, they have the best. All the staff were real nice and our waitress was very nice and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.

One of the better hole-in-the-wall Tex-Mex spots I’ve been to. I thoroughly enjoyed the food & experience here! My wife took me here for Father’s Day, and while the outside of the building may not be as inviting, you’re missing a true treat if you don’t go inside. This spot is perhaps better suited for lunch dates, a bar stop on the way home, or a cozy date for you & the misses in the evening. Although there was “families” here during my visit, the space of the restaurant appears more suited for smaller & intimate parties. The workers were very inviting and warm in their service. Food was delicious!! I had the grilled tacos & they were the absolute BOMB!💣 Drinks were solid & refreshing as well! My only complaint is the space of the venue. When it’s packed, it’s packed. But in the end, you work with what you have & boy, E-Bar does just that! I highly recommend!

Our first time in Dallas and all our Uber drivers recommended E Bar. We are so glad we listened to them. The food was delicious. Best salsa on the planet. Our server had great suggestions. If we are ever back in Dallas, E Bar will be a must stop on the trip.

Came here on cinco de mayo for lunch. Our server was so inviting and sweet, she was also super attentive (wish I knew her name). I order the steak fajitas and elote Mexican corn. Baby, everything was a 10/10. I love that this place is such a hidden gem and ducked off. I love supporting small businesses and this place is amazing. I will be coming back, regularly. Oh yeah, the queso was amazing as well! It was even better as leftovers the next day! Highly recommend 🫶🏽

Service was very quick and friendly. Several large screen tvs so great place to watch four games at once if you want. The salsa was delicious. The brisket and carnita tacos were stuffed and delicious, not the absolute best I have ever had but close. The Cob Salad was packed as well including jumbo shrimp, chicken, and bacon. Spent about $40 on two entrees. Money well spent. Will definitely be returning!

This little Tex-Mex restaurant packed a big punch. It was delicious everything from the chips and salsa to the fajitas. Enchiladas beans and rice was excellent. We did have a little bit of a wait, but it was the weekend and at peak time so not to be unexpected. we were able to sit outside in the area with chairs and drink a beer and people watch. We were seated the enclosed patio are which had great air-conditioning and our waitress was Mia . She was a delightful young lady that has an attention for detail and anticipates your needs. She was knowledgeable about the menu and the drink menu. We will definitely be back And have told our friends about this great little gem of a restaurant.

The food is fantastic. We had the chicken and steak nachos and the cheese enchiladas with chile con carne. Both plates were very flavorful. Some of the best I’ve had. The ambiance was energetic. Parking can be a challenge, however.

Gemma is a casual and relaxed restaurant with a coastal California vibe, offering a variety of New American cuisine and signature cocktails. The restaurant's decor exudes a Mediterranean feel with its blue and white tones, creating a modern, stylish, and cozy atmosphere. Located in the heart of Henderson Avenue, Gemma is known for its well-crafted yet relatively simple menu featuring small plates and innovative entrees.
Got seated immediately at the bar at 5:30 on a weeknight and was served by Carlos, who was attentive and helpful in recommending dishes. The paradelle (rabbit pasta) and duck fat tater tots were great, and the complementary scone was good, but the real star of the show was the Strawberry/Pistachio Semifreddo. It was refreshing and light, perfect for the summer. One of the servers had mentioned that she thinks it's the best dessert and I can see why. I've truly never had any dessert quite like it.
Joseph — Google review
I’ve been dining at Gemma for 11 years now since I moved to Dallas in 2014. It has remained a constant place of comfort in an ever changing restaurant scene in Dallas. The food is spectacular and NEVER disappoints. The staff and service is even better. I probably eat there 2-3 times a month now. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu but if you’re a first timer you’ve got to try the rabbit pappardelle. Thank you to all the staff (front of house, bar tenders, and kitchen staff) for creating just an absolutely lovely restaurant.

We stopped by Gemma without a reservation and were pleasantly surprised at how quickly we were seated. The restaurant has a charming outdoor patio that adds to the cozy atmosphere. For starters, we ordered the Heirloom Beets. Personally, I wasn’t a fan of the mint finish,. For mains, I tried the Sakura Pork Secreto — it was just okay and not something I’d order again. My partner, however, had the Grass-Fed Bavette Steak and it was excellent — tender, flavorful, and absolutely worth coming back for. The real highlight was dessert. We shared the Crème Brûlée with vegan coconut ice cream, and it was out of this world — creamy, decadent, and perfectly balanced. A must-try! On top of the food, the service stood out. I have a dairy sensitivity, and our server was incredibly thoughtful and accommodating with my dietary needs, which made the experience even better. Overall, Gemma delivers a wonderful dining experience with standout dishes (especially the steak and dessert) and warm, attentive service. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Dallas!

Gemma – 4.5⭐️ Had an excellent dinner at Gemma on Saturday. Our waiter, Anthony, was fantastic! Very friendly, attentive, and really added to the experience. The meal started with warm scones served with salted butter, and they were absolutely delicious. We tried the fried olives and pecans, burrata, and hamachi crudo. All were outstanding and full of fresh, clean flavor. I ordered the Filet au Poivre for my main course, and it was one of the best filet mignons I’ve had in Dallas. Perfectly cooked, tender, and served with great frites and creamed spinach. For dessert, we split an apple crisp and gianduja chocolate tart that were both good, though not the highlight compared to the rest of the meal. Overall, Gemma is a gem of a spot with great food, friendly service, and a cozy, elevated vibe. I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing! The atmosphere is top notch and romantic. Looking around, not a lot of phones out, just people talking to one another as it should be. Jeremy was our server and he was one of the best waiters we've ever had. He was funny, explained a lot of the dishes in an easy to digest manner, and gave great recommendations. The food was top notch. On par with some michelin starred places. We will absolutely be back. Do yourself a favor and book a reservation here.

Absolutely loved Gemma. Came here for my birthday dinner, and they wrote me a nice little card and candle on my dessert. I really liked the skirt steak and the ceviche. Also the semifreddo was amazing!!! Would recommend for a date night, yummy dinner, special event, etc!

One of my favorite places to have dinner in Dallas! Gemma is a perfection. Great service , fantastic food ( you can literally close your eyes and point at anything on the menu and you will love it !) , spacious enough so no one will be bumping into you. We had dinner there the other night after leaving Sister ( disappointed) and Phillip was so nice to fit us in. We had oysters- amazingly fresh , hamachi crudo - exceptional fish quality , beef carpaccio- perfect slices paired with some cheese and greens, then we moved onto pasta - I’m not a big fan of pasta dishes as I’m extremely picky about it but i kept sticking my fork into my husband’s plate and that says A LOT, I was also pleased to see a quail dish on the menu- deep fried it was crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside, finished with some espresso and affogato. I’m always happy to see coffee machines at restaurants and to see affogato as a dessert option at Gemma - it was a perfect ending to our meal.

Happiest Hour is a trendy bar and restaurant located in the bustling Harwood District, just a short walk from the American Airlines Center. It boasts Dallas' largest rooftop terrace with stunning skyline views. The venue offers a wide range of food and drinks, including nacho towers, artisan sandwiches, flatbreads, steaks, crab mac & cheese, family-style cocktails, wines on tap, and over fifty beer selections.
We tried this place recently for a happy hour and had a good experience. The place is massive with seating inside, outside on the patio, and on the rooftop. It was 90+ degrees, so we sat in the bar area at a table. They have great happy hour specials with half-off appetizers and cocktails. We tried the dip trio as an appetizer. Great portions of dip for the price. My wife tried the Berries from the West and I tried the Game Time old fashioned. Both had great flavor. Our service was great. We will definitely be back.

I was visiting from out of town and stopped by the Happiest Hour for drinks and lunch. The staff was fine, but they seemed more engaged in their own conversation when I arrived, which may have distracted them from attending to me right away. I ordered my food at the bar and chose to sit outside on the rooftop patio, where I was welcome to seat myself. I ordered brisket nachos, which were brought to me, but I didn't receive any utensils or napkins. The view was pleasant, but overall, the food and service were mediocre.

I almost don't want to put this review because I don't want to disturb the ecosystem they have going on but here it is. This Spot is a rare find. Amazing vibe and interior setup with fabulous rooftop patio surrounded by the gorgeous downtown lights and skyscrapers. The staff is engaging and friendly and there were lots of beautiful patrons. Bottle service upstairs. Come and enjoy yourself but don't disturb the ratio. That's part of what makes this place so special.

We truly cannot thank the Happiest Hour team enough for hosting our welcome party! It was an INCREDIBLE evening and us and all of our guests had the best time. They have an amazing coordinator named Lauren, who is fantastic to work with - she made the welcome party the easiest part of our entire wedding weekend to plan! The process was smooth, efficient, professional, and incredibly uncomplicated, which is rare when planning an event for 200. The services and elements included (between spaces, staffing, AV, menu, set up/tear down, additional tables, etc) were exactly what we needed, making us able to easily customize everything exactly how we wanted. Lauren was highly responsive and helpful with her recommendations as well regarding food quantities, space reservations, and layout! The night of, the staff was beyond kind, helpful and accommodating the entire time! Arnold and Megan led the evening and they were so proactive making sure us and our guests were taken care of the entire time. The team helped us make last minute set up adjustments, pass out welcome bags, and helped clean up, really allowing us to be guests at our own event. Could not have asked for a better team across the board!! Lastly, many of our guests went out of their way to give us amazing feedback on the quality of the food!! Between he buffet and the passed apps, everything was delicious. Overall we had such a positive experience, and definitely recommend hosting events with the Harwood team!

Amazing!! We always look for new and different places to dine when we travel. Dream Cafe it is. Service was amazing, atmosphere was small, quiet and the restaurant looked very well taken care of, and clean. The food?!?! Blew my mind how good it was. Manage, breakfast is breakfast, but Dream Cafe had me wanting to order more. The temperature, the quality, and portion size was perfect! All natural, with none of that extra GMO crap! Job well done by everyone in this location, cooks, servers, manager/owners. We will be checking out the other two locations soon. Keep up the great work!! It is greatly appreciated!

We have lived in Uptown for 27 years and Dream Cafe is our hands-down favorite spot for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. We stay hopeful that they will decide to open for dinner someday as well! While they offer healthy, vegan, gluten free options, the menu provides plenty of comfort food as well. It is family owned; we look forward to visiting with the owners Mary and Emma and catching up with the manager Greg and our favoirite server Misty. Every staff member is friendly, helpful, and professional. If you're lucky enough to live in Uptown, Dream Cafe is easily walkable and right on the McKinney trolley route. If you're driving there is plenty of validated garage parking available behind the building. Don't miss this gem of Uptown!

From the moment we came upon the breezeway…my wife, daughter, and I were given the VIP treatment even though we didn’t have so much as a reservation. Donna greeted us and not only found us a table during the Sunday brunch rush but even went as far as to ensure our three year old’s food was being prepared by the chef himself (since there aren’t specific kid options they went off menu for her!) Our server Don was impeccably hospitable and professional giving special attention to our daughter and even being graceful as he cleaned up the cranberry juice she dropped! Mercat Bistro is an absolutely adorable French spot that feels like a sweet escape to Paris. I stopped in for a lunch and was delighted by how quaint the ambiance was — perfect for a slow afternoon or dinner. I tried the tomato soup, and oh my — it was excellent! Rich, comforting, and clearly made fresh with quality ingredients. For dessert, I indulged in their crème brûlée, which was beautifully torched and silky smooth. Paired with a well-crafted flat white, it was the ideal finish to a delicious little escape.

Everyone enjoyed their lunch. We will come back here again in the future.

First time at this bistro, which is a fairly authentic reproduction of a high end French Bistro. (We live in France) We arrived at 5pm on a Wednesday and were able to park on the road outside the restaurant, however there is a valet service available. There were plenty of available tables at that time. Our waiter, Timothy, was excellent. Very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. All the food was good quality, well prepared and presented and had great flavour. The moules frites warrant particular mention…succulent soft perfectly cooked mussels served with garlic toast to mop up the tasty ‘soup’ The restaurant has an impressive wine list. Overall, one of the best meals we’ve had on our visit to Dallas.

Breakfast restaurant
Italian-inspired cafe with coffee, pastries, and sandwiches. Located in the heart of Downtown Dallas, it's a popular spot for lunch.
I had the pleasure of visiting Commissary at 1217 Main Street in Dallas, and it was nothing short of exceptional. I ordered the coconut banana oatmeal, and let me tell you—it was delicious. Creamy, perfectly balanced in flavor, and so satisfying that I could have stopped right there. But I couldn’t resist trying more. The breakfast potatoes were a standout—well-seasoned, tender on the inside, and cooked to perfection. The portion size is generous—easily enough to share with a friend (trust me, you’ll want to). The bacon came out beautifully curly, adding a touch of fun to the plate, and both the potatoes and bacon were served in a charming cardboard box with a see-through top. The presentation? Spot on. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy, inviting, and stylish—perfect for a relaxed breakfast or brunch. At a price point of $22 for everything I ordered, it was well worth it, though I probably could have just enjoyed the oatmeal and been completely satisfied. But everything looked so good, I wanted to taste it all—and I’m glad I did. If you’re looking for great food, excellent presentation, and a welcoming atmosphere in downtown Dallas, Commissary is the place to go. Five stars all the way! Highly recommend.

My husband and I got breakfast here a couple times during our visit in Dallas. I had the Pistachio Oat Latte, Bagel sandwich and avocado toast with salmon during my visits and all were phenomenal. Ramen restaurant
Wabi House is a trendy spot that serves ramen and izakaya-style Japanese dishes along with sake and cocktails in a stylish industrial setting. With locations on Greenville Avenue and in Fort Worth, it has become known for its authentic ramen offerings, including the must-try Tsukemen during dinner hours.
We have been coming here for years. Always consistent. Great food, fast and friendly service. Here's a Pro Tip: If you order the Dry Garlic, and someone else in your party orders the Spicy Miso, ask them for 2 or 3 soup spoons worth of their broth and add it to your Dry Garlic (assuming you're into a little spicy kick). You're welcome.
Derrick L — Google review
We recently took a trip to Dallas and found ourselves looking for a ramen spot to eat at and ended up at Wabi House. Impressed by the setting, (they have an outdoor patio that allows for dogs) we were very hopeful it would be a winner. Here’s what we found: The service was good. The staff was friendly and the time it took to order and get our food out was very fast, even when we were located outside of the main restaurant. The setting, again, was very nice and having a ramen spot that could finally accommodate to having a dog was a huge plus. They have a built out bar indoors which we didn’t get drinks from but wanted to note in case anyone likes to drink more than just broth. As for the food, it was lacking in some key spots. We ordered the tonkotsu and shoyu ramens and the overall flavor of both wasn’t strong. Specifically on the tonkotsu side, the broth tasted not far off from that of one you could get in a packet to cook at home. In both bowls the chasu was tough and overcooked, which is a big swing and a miss as it’s our favorite topping. The noodles were very good though with a nice chewy texture. We also ordered the chicken karaage which was a mixed bag as the flavor was good but the breading was very crumby and too oily. Our biggest takeaway from Wabi House was that it is an incredibly convenient and artistic spot that may not have the best food but is a bit of a game changer for those who like to bring dogs out with them. If you’re looking for good ramen, maybe skip this place, but if you’re looking for a ramen place to eat with man’s best friend with you then this is the spot.
Amber L — Google review
Wabi House delivers a solid ramen and small-plates experience in a stylish, comfortable setting. The noodles have good texture, and some dishes like the spicy miso ramen I have real flavor depth. The ambiance is inviting, with friendly staff and a casual bar-and-ramen vibe. However, a few details hold it back: some broths seemed less rich than expected, and certain toppings (like chashu) were reported as a bit tough or over-cooked. Also, when it’s busy, service and wait times can become a minor frustration.Overall, it’s worth a visit if you’re looking for ramen with a twist and a great atmosphere—but if you’re a purist hunting the deepest, most traditional broth, you might want to keep expectations moderate.
Elizabeth W — Google review
Service was attentive and engaging, even with it being a packed room. The takoyaki was great. Not heavy on the tops which allowed the takoyaki octopus flavor to shine and the textures to still be present. The hama rayu was refreshing to the palate. The flavor between fish and vinaigrette clears the with a light, acidity that's further complimented by the rayu sauce, it livens everything with a hint of chili. The star of the evening was the spice miso ramen. The full body broth was like a warm hug. The flavors both deep and rich, with a touch of creaminess from the poached egg. The spicy level is low enough to really enjoy the flavor and high enough to fight an internal chill.

This was our first time here and we didn’t know what to get. Our servers made great recommendations. Food was excellent. Service was quick and knowledgeable.

Visited a couple times. The first visit turned out to be great and really loved the ramen and appetizers. However second visit (pictured) turned out to be not so great; ramen, appetizers and cocktails all were a bit taste-less. Not sure I’ll revisit tho.

Mediocre tonkotsu. Broth was decent but too little relative to the noodles. Ajitsuke tamago was ok, a bit overboiled, chashu was decent - thick and well-grilled but just not very succulent. Karaage was also just very average. Lunchtime ramen pricing was a positive - $9. (But I personally care more for quality than price)

The best ramen in the area, although there's sometimes a line but it's worth the wait.

Niwa Japanese BBQ offers a modern and rustic dining space where guests can enjoy elegant cocktails and cook their favorite Japanese BBQ dishes at their own table. The restaurant prides itself on quality, offering a wide selection of meats, veggies, and sides for grilling, along with Japanese sake, beer, and craft cocktails. The intimate yet relaxed atmosphere provides the perfect setting for family-style dining and exploring the diverse menu offerings.
Delicious food! I wish I had gotten photos because the meat selections were great, but unfortunately we ate everything too fast! I had the Heaven and Earth cocktail, which I loved. I would recommend the short rib and the sunomono cucumbers. Huge thanks to Andre for being a great waiter!

Very good quality meat. Pretty atmosphere. Was a nice experience to try something different. We had a bit of a hiccup with a couple of things on our order coming late. They have a robot server that’s pretty cool. I’d recommend the place. Good food and experience for a family. But it didn’t quite knock it out of the park.

Good service, clean bathrooms, quality food. We happened to come on a Friday. Ight, which happens to be AYCE. We tried most on that menu, but my favorite was the beef belly and pork belly. The short rib, hanger, and miso skirt weren't far behind. I don't care much for the New York. The veggies on that menu were also all good. The karaage was lightly breaded, which was awesome - most other places tend to have too much breading. Other than the AYCE menu, we tried takoyaki, beef tongue, F1 wagyu short rib. The beef tongue was great, but the F1 wagyu short rib just melts in your mouth. We were stuffed at this point, but we plan to try the pork jowl during our next visit. The matcha lemonade was also good, just a tad too sweet. Parking was right next door. $19 for 2 hours, or $25 for 9 hours on a Friday night. Joey was our server and was great. - edit - Pork jowl, deviled eggs, other wagyu cuts were also fantastic. $11 parking on a Sunday night. This area is still busy for a Sunday night, so parking may be limited.

The food was great. The service was friendly and simple. What you would expect of a restaurant like this. A bit hot inside. The sides/veggies could be more authentic (like in Korea or Japan) so that they’re easier to grill. I would have preferred received a bottle of water instead of having it refilled, but that’s because I like to see that it’s bottle water and not filtered. The meat was awesome! Specially the wagyu.

If you’re in Dallas, don’t walk, don’t even run, just teleport to this amazing restaurant. We were in town for a concert and randomly googled restaurants near us and Niwa looked interesting so we went not knowing it would change our lives. I’m not even a beef person, but Niwa showed me how deliciously flavorful and melt in your mouth beef can be. The chicken and side dishes were delicious as well. They kept bringing things out for us to try and we said yes to everything because we were having an EXPERIENCE. At the end when we could not eat another bite, they brought us the panna cotta with berries in a yuzu/strawberry coulis and we scarfed that down in about 20 seconds and had no regrets!

If you’re used to AYCE KBBQ, this is slightly different. This isn’t Korean and isn’t all you can eat. Still worth a visit! Here’s what we got: - Chicken Karage not very crispy. The cooled peppers with it were very good though. - Potatoes were hearty - Beef belly: flavorful. Appreciated timing Recs attached to the meats - Miso skirt with ponzu sauce, amazing! By far the best * - Filet was just as good as the skirt. Maybe better. Absolutely melted in your mouth. We cooked it 1.5mim on each side. Maybe even 1.25 min. Also had this with ponzu sauce, which made this superior. * - coffee jelly dessert. Coffee was definitely overpowering near the end. Would recommend if you’re a coffee lover. Service was slow, but server was great. * = highly reccomend.

After living in Japan for more than 3 years and having extensively dined in yakiniku restaurants, Niwa is the best Japanese dining experience I've had outside of Japan itself. We happened to plan our visit during "Meat Day." The attached photo shows the 5 meat platter. Every meat melted in the mouth, and the three sauces were an excellent complement. 👌 All the meats were delicious, though my favorites were the beef belly, filet mignon, and miso skirt steak. We also tried the kurobuta sausage with spicy mustard. Yum! We started with the edamame, served warm with a perfect amount of salt. The Niwa Fries were excellent - cooked perfectly crispy on the outside, yet still tender on the inside, and coated with just enough toppings to enhance the flavor. The Hamachi Crudo was lovely as well, with a nice touch of daikon. The Imo Bonito was a delicious twist on Yukon potatoes, which is a must try. To top it all off, we tried the coffee parfait. Oh, my, word. I love traditional coffee jellies in Japan. This was an amazing rendition with two layers of coffee jelly with cream, topped with toasted almond slivers for a nice crunch. We also took home a bag of Premium Reserve Wagyu Boyz Beef Jerky. Honestly, beef jerky is something my husband loves. I have never liked the taste or smell of it. This is the only beef jerky I have ever enjoyed. The inside of the restaurant is dark, with plenty of wood that sets a warm tone. The tables are arranged in a way where each section has a sense of intimacy. It's a rather true reflection of old Japanese style. To top it all off, the owner, Jimmy Niwa, is personable and engaged throughout the restaurant. The staff had wonderful things to say about Jimmy and the work environment he creates. Hands down, excellent and high-quality meal, warm and authentic Japanese environment, and my new go-to restaurant in Dallas. You must try it!

Upon entry, the host and servers were very kind. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. It was our first time here and we wanted to try a variety of meats so we tried their variety platter that they have. The experience was great but the meat was alright. The matcha cocktail we ordered was amazing, however there was nothing too outstanding for us to come back to. All in all a wonderful experience but other places do it better.

American restaurant
Nestled within the charming confines of a historic Beaux-Arts building that once served as the Knights of Pythias Temple, Elm & Good is a delightful addition to Deep Ellum's culinary scene. As part of the Kimpton Pittman Hotel, this modern American tavern showcases chef Graham Dodds' expertise in farm-to-table dining. Diners can indulge in a seasonal menu featuring handmade pastas and expertly wood-fired meats and vegetables.
The manager, Judy, was awesome. Great customer service and guienely kind. She shared a lot about the rich history of the building and the architect, William Sidney Pittman. We had a splendid time listening to live music by Danny Joseph from The Voice. The atmosphere was very pleasant. I will definitely return.

Great atmosphere and service. The menu is different than our last visit earlier in the year and that is very disappointing. Bring back the parfait, Eggs Benedict, grilled breakfast potatoes and other breakfast classics.

Elm & Good is an absolute gem, conveniently located downstairs in the Kimpton Pittman Hotel. It was delightful to enjoy an exquisite happy hour, get pleasantly tipsy, and then retreat upstairs for a quick nap before heading out for an exciting night on the town. The service was exceptional and warm. Despite it being my first visit, the bartender made me feel like a cherished regular, which added a special touch to the overall experience. The drinks were nothing short of fantastic. I indulged in the Pittman Pear Margarita, which was bursting with amazing flavor and had a generous pour. After just one drink, I was already feeling great—exactly what you hope for from a quality cocktail. But the true star of Elm & Good was the food. Their happy hour is an incredible deal, especially considering the deliciousness of every bite. I began with the Deep Ellum Sliders and tried just two of the Chicken Drumettes. However, they were so delectable that I couldn't resist ordering three more. Each bite was a delightful experience, showcasing the chef's dedication to flavor and quality. Though I only had the chance to visit during happy hour, it was impressive enough to make me eager to return for dinner service. Elm & Good left a lasting impression, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience, whether you're a guest at the hotel or simply exploring the area. This place is a must-visit, and I can't wait to return for more of their exceptional food and drinks.

I am very surprised that this restaurant has 4 stars on Google. Last night, a Friday, my husband and I chose this place based on reviews. It is a huge place, but was empty on Friday at dinnertime, and I assumed the emptiness was a fluke rather than a red flag. I should have believed my eyes rather than the reviews; nobody wanted to be there. We were the only ones at a table, though the bar patrons looked happy. The waitress was very nice, and for that I had to give her stars. We ordered the Caesar salad. Don't do it! If my husband ever brings that kind of cheap, slimy dressing back from the grocery store, we would have words. From the taste profile, it's an ultra-processed product with cornstarch, vinegar, corn syrup and maybe some powdered eggs in a base of cheap oil with a dash of salt. But I'm just guessing. Wendy's has a better one by far. Actually, I've never had a worse Caesar in any restaurant. Not much eaten! Then we ordered our meal. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries, and my husband ordered the Reuben at the urging of our waitress, who said, "If you haven't had a Reuben for a while, this is a really good one!" After a minute, I called the waitress back, just because the salad had been SO OFF-TRACK from how they advertise themselves that I suspected the Gouda on my fancy gourmet burger might not actually be Gouda. I'm lactose-intolerant (ie. no fake cheese as they contain whey and nonfat milk solids). I was right! The waitress informed me that all of the cheeses at Elm and Good are Pasteurized Processed Cheese Product, so there were no options for a real cheeseburger. I ordered the Fried chicken plate instead. The food came and-- why did the waitress tell my husband that if he hadn't had a Reuben in a while, this one would satisfy his Reuben itch? It wasn't a Reuben at all; no pastrami. Those details are on the menu, but we had ordered it from her recommendation and were told this would bring back memories of other Reubens, which this one couldn't possibly do without the main ingredient. I'm guessing the nice waitress has never eaten a Reuben before and just likes this sandwich (In her defense, it was the only menu item we didn't throw away). In essence- it's a pretty good brisket sandwich, but they call it a Cowboy Reuben. Order this one if you have to go there to eat. My chicken plate was not as expected. It's called Deep Ellum Fried Chicken, with the description that it comes with pickles and maple Bourbon Dijon, served with fries. First of all, I have never seen breaded deep fried boneless dark meat chicken on a menu, and I eat out almost weekly. Typically you deep fry only the breast, unless the dark meat is bone-in, as in buffalo style or a KFC bucket. But this item is a single piece of deep-fried, boneless dark meat on a bun. The breading was flavorless, and the meat was that kind of gamey meat that you get every once in awhile with a cheap chicken. The fries were beyond flavorless, even with ketchup and tabasco. Literally fries are one of my favorite snack foods and I couldn't enjoy them, and neither did my husband. Also, there was no indication on the menu that Deep Ellum Fried Chicken was a sandwich. It was listed with 2 other items under the title "Hand-Off's", which I have googled and it's a football term, but this restaurant is not a Sports Bar. As someone who worked 10+ years in the restaurant industry, I know a handoff is when the cook puts up the completed order, or the waitress brings your food. This is not a familiar menu term that anyone would assume might mean something else. Even if they had misspelled it and meant to write "Hands-off" that wouldn't make sense for hands-on food items. We didn't complain, we just told them to take away most of the food and went somewhere else. Oh- they had a nice draught beer that my husband liked, and I drank a cab wine that was $14 per glass; the other cab option was $21 per glass. So, this place has airport lounge prices but with much worse food.

I had a great experience at Elm and Good. It’s located in Kimpton Pittman Hotel. In a city that doesn’t forget its roots, The Kimpton Pittman Hotel is stepping into the future with one foot in the past. Our building, designed by African-American architect William Sidney Pittman in 1916. I always wanted to go there and stay but it is eclectic having under a 140 rooms. I was going to an event the hotel was hosting. So having a chance to dine was right on the money. The space was quiet for about 10 minutes and then the bar area started buzzing. It got crowded with happy people having crafted cocktails. I think I confused the waitstaff when he offered me wine and my counteroffer was beer on draft. Sorry..not sorry 😄. I’m a beer girl tried and true. It was a nice crisp lager as I waited for my friend. There was some beautiful lacing in the glass but I forgot to snap an after photo. I figured two appetizers and beer will keep full but not bogged down if I wanted to cut a rug/drop it low later. Deviled eggs are a weakness and when they add bacon you got me sold! I ordered that and bone marrow. That was a surprising because you don’t normally see this at a bistro type of restaurant as I would depict having the range. It was filling and delicious. I would have loved another one. My friend had a big body burger. She seems very please and had a beer as well. Community IPA ..drink local my friends. Afterward we enjoyed Soul Rebels rock the stage with a New Orleans fusion with classic mashup’s. It was so good. Elm and Good has parking for the restaurant and hotel. You have to be sure you slow down or you’ll miss it like I did. I used the public parking and since it was a weekday it was affordable. I definitely want to go back and explore more of the menu selections and try a crafted cocktail.

Not worth the price! The place looks elegant and it is farm to fresh so I was expecting better quality and great taste but it was totally disappointing! We spent $229 plus tips and ended up with zero satisfaction, not at all happy! Very less choices no chicken options and proper veg options.. salmon and pasta was super dry! Redfish was $28 but not totally happy with the taste and it was not flavorful. No wow factor at all! Drinks were $14 each but a couple drinks was filled with ICE. No perfection and No satisfaction! I wouldn’t go there next time.. too much money for unworthy food! There are so many better options Dallas comparatively ...

If you like checking out places in Deep Ellum that have that classy, almost prohibition feel, I definitely recommend Elm & Good. While you may come for the ambience, you'll stay for the amazing food and drinks. They have a creative and flavorful menu. I especially loved the Rabbit Agnolotti and the Scottish Grilled Salmon. Everything is very fresh. The Traveling Man cocktail is also a must-try. I would have enjoyed it, even without the charred lemon peel, but it was a nice touch! Who doesn't like watching the bartender use a blowtorch while making your drink? I can't wait to go back to try more stuff on the menu!

Amazing experience! We stayed at the hotel and visited for social hour as well as dinner. Staff were friendly and attentive, food was delicious, drinks we’re just right. Decor is super chic, very nice vibes and ambiance. Everything was amazing, I’m interested in booking a private event for a future date based on the lovely setup for an event we saw in progress. Restaurant
Ichiro Sapporo Ramen is a Japanese noodle soup shop that has recently relocated to a new location under the new name. The restaurant offers a variety of delicious ramen options, including spicy miso ramen and chicken karaage. Customers have praised the quick service and friendly staff, as well as the clean and welcoming atmosphere. In addition to ramen, the menu also features Japanese beer on tap and other Japanese dishes like steam buns and Tom Yum Ramen with chicken.
Great experience, easy parking, seating was choose your own spot. Had the house special Ichiro ramen and was blown away. I did order a side of gyoza that never came. I asked the sever later in the meal but declined due to the size of ramen being too much food. They actually gave a discount due to the mishap. Will be a returning customer for sure!!!

The best to enjoy this amazing place is early, like 11:30a.m., to beat the lunch rush. Me and my mother ordered the Gyoza and Squid legs for the appetizers. The Gyoza was delicious as well as the Squid legs. The batter on the legs was light, not too much nor extra oily, it was perfect. The crunch and texture were just muah! The main dishes that we ordered were the Tonkatsu and shiyo aka #3. I had the shiyo w/ pork and it was perfect for me. Not too much filling, especially with the broth, and the pork was divine. Taste like a fresh chicharron with that goey, slim line of flavorful fat. Broth had chicken aroma and well topped off with green onion. The Tonkatsu for me was good, but the broth was a bit more sweet for my tasting. I had the idea/ideal comparison of the one from Costco, which doesn't have much sweetness. Overall, good portions, well made dishes, clean and pleasant environment, service was fantastic and very polite. The only flaw thing I have, besides the slightly sweet Tonkatsu, is the parking. It's very cramped but then again, it's expensive to find and invest in a good area for a restaurant, so I can't blame them on that.

This place had some of the best Gyūdon i have ever had, including being above most of the ones I had while in Japan, but everything else was either meh or completely terrible. We ordered, maybe 8 different items within our group, and most had very little flavor, or they were overwhelming fishy flavored. The red curry ramen literally tasted like fish sauce / oyster sauce with zero other elements of flavor. It was shocking how fishy it tasted and ruined the dish for us. The garlic edamame had flavor, but the pods were extremely overcooked, which caused them to very soggy on the inside, instead of having the slight bursting texture. Since we had such a large variety of items, with so many misses, I don't think we will ever be going back here. Wished for better.

Great underrated ramen spot in Dallas! Got the Tonkotsu Kuro Ramen and it was packed full of flavor. The broth, pork belly, and noodles were delicious & perfectly cooked. Portions were perfect too, there was so much pork belly, what a steal for the price!! The small plates are great too, they came out fresh and hot and had plenty of flavor. I loved the chicken karaage & takoyaki!

I had tried ramen several times before and never did like it but a friend said this place was good and I ordered the most expensive ramen soup they had almost $20 and did not like it had a weird taste to it my wife ordered the red curry seafood ramen and it tasted watered down ordered tom yum ramen as we love Thai for my daughter and she did enjoy it not sure might give it another try but will stick with pho or Thai for soups I like the ramen just not the taste of the soup bases they provide

Do not eat here if you have a shellfish allergy. Found what looks to be a crawfish leg in my pork spicy miso. Regardless of allergy, this is a dangerous cross contamination and the kitchen should do better.

Our family dined here early at 4:30 pm on a Tuesday. Ample parking. I and my husband ordered Tonkotsu ramen with extra char siu. The pork broth and pork belly were rich in flavor, not too salty. My son liked the seafood ramen and said it was filling. Orders were filled quickly and service was good.

I loved the old location, there was a host, and waitress around good service all around. I love the window art on the new location and the walls. The ramen is still amazing the pork belly buns, and the meat tastes old, I understand it is served cold but it tasted like it was sitting in a refrigerator for a few days. After being served no service, no refills. My check was brought to me when another couple had come in first and did not receive theirs. They made it feel unwelcoming. This is my experience the ramen is great, try it!

Steak house
Drake's Hollywood is a swanky steakhouse with an Old Hollywood ambiance, offering a sophisticated and intimate dining experience. The restaurant exudes a speakeasy vibe with its red leather booths, oversized plants, and red lighting, creating a sense of privacy for diners. Despite its glamorous atmosphere, Drake's is known for its large pizzas and 24-layer strawberry cake. Whether you're looking for a romantic evening or a lively bar scene, this spot offers the perfect setting.
We recently hosted a private event at Drake’s Hollywood, and it was phenomenal from start to finish. The staff was incredibly fast, professional, and made the entire experience seamless. Whether you’re planning an event or just enjoying a night out, this place knows how to deliver. Let’s talk food—come ready to share! The portion sizes are massive—definitely made for two (or more). We highly recommend ordering several dishes and passing them around the table. Some standout highlights: • Cauliflower Dynamite – Lightly fried and tossed in the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. Absolutely addictive. • Vin Scully Fries – Loaded with smoked cheddar, jalapeños, bacon, chives, and ranch. Easily serves 3–4 people. • The Crab Rangoon – Creamy, crispy bites with cream cheese, scallions, and sweet chili sauce. We got 8–9 pieces—great for sharing. • Classic Caesar Salad – A unique twist on the original, fresh and flavorful. • Calamari – Light, crispy, and packed with flavor—one of the best we’ve had. • Pizzas – Generous portions, similar to a traditional large pizza. Great to split among the group. • Crab Cake – Huge and packed with crab—not filler. Worth every bite. • Desserts – Super tasty and indulgent. Each one can easily satisfy 3–4 people. Everything we ordered exceeded expectations—huge portions, incredible flavor, and top-notch service. We’ll absolutely be back. If you’re in the area or looking for a spot for a private event, Drake’s Hollywood is a must. Great taste, great service, and a great time.

Early dinner on a Monday night and it was great timing, not crowded and got to really see the place. Was there for the food and it didn't disappoint. We had sushi, shrimp, bread with zero complaints, very good quality seafood. For the main meal we all had something different. I personally had the ginger marinade ribeye cooked medium and it was delicious. After sampling a filet and pasta I would recommend any of them. Atmosphere was beautiful and relaxed.

If you’re looking for upscale vibes, classic elegance, and comfort food with a luxury twist, Drake’s Holiday in Dallas is a must-visit. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance gave old Hollywood glam mixed with modern charm. Dim lighting, plush booths, and a cozy-yet-refined setting made it perfect for a date night or a classy dinner with friends. The cocktails were just as impressive. The yellow-orange citrus cocktail (possibly a sidecar or daiquiri variant) was bright and refreshing, while the martini had that perfect smooth chill — definitely crafted with intention. Highly recommended

Definitely a place for a special occasion, ambience and vibe of the place is pretty good. Service was great, server explained how things worked very well. Food was pretty good, Ozzy pizza was amazing, the sushi with the tuna on top was pretty good, a little spicy but good. Dessert was the only thing I thought could have been better. I feel if someone likes dessert there here for the sweetness of it, I got the 24 layer strawberry cake, it wasn’t as sweet as I thought it would be. Drinks were good. Overall definitely a place to try!

Our reservation was for 7:45, but we weren’t seated until 8:30, despite booking two weeks in advance. Having to wait was not the best start to our experience at Drakes. On the positive side, our waiter was friendly and attentive, checking in regularly to make sure everything was okay. The atmosphere is romantic with a fun, lively vibe, and the restaurant itself was clean, from the seating to the utensils. For food, I tried the glazed honey chicken, but it was dry and lacked flavor for a $45 plate—definitely not what I expected. The highlight of the night was the sausage pizza; it was delicious and worth coming back for. The Mexican margarita cocktail was very good as well. Overall, while the wait and my entrée were disappointing, the pizza, cocktail, and attentive service made for some redeeming moments. I would return specifically for the pizza.

Went celebrating with my husband on what was supposed to a very special and romantic date. The food was good and had amazing service by Josh our server. However, we felt rushed by the floor manager constantly walking around and trying to see if she can get us out right away to turn the table and this wasn't just for our table she was doing this to all tables. Just because of this I won't return to Drakes. I've never felt rushed in any restaurant and it wasn't a good feeling at all! Specially if we.are spending good money there, this place is not inexpensive. I expect to be treated in the same high standards they showcase. One last thing, the strawberry cake 🍰 doesn't really taste like strawberry and is not sweet at all, then they pour a red colored water that should be more of a culis instead of just kool-aid which makes your cake soggy. Very nice looking cake but left a lot to be desired.

Tian Tian Restaurant is a hidden gem that offers a delightful twist on traditional Chinese dining. Located at 18101 Preston Road, this inviting eatery stands out not just for its delicious cuisine but also for its unique robotic delivery service, adding a modern flair to your dining experience. While the menu features various dishes, the star of the show is undoubtedly their Peking Duck—perfectly cooked and ideal for those looking to indulge in this classic dish.
Update: The live fish is really good. Love the dimsum. Must try the radish cake with XO sauce The place looks nice and clean. Service is fast. Food is good but some of the scallop dish is a bit oily for me. We love their fish maw with crab soup. Love the soup with dumplings too.

TL:DR pay in cash for discount and don't sleep on their hot and sour soup, cheung fun, or siu mai We came here for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. We've been here previously and enjoyed the food. While the selection of dim sum isn't as vast as some other places, the dishes were fairly decent. We started with a large bowl of hot and sour soup, split between my wife and I. For $6, even if it was more, this is one of the best hot and sour soups I've had. Very generous portion where we managed to get 6 portions from the large bowl. We also ordered the spicy Sichuan wontons which were not so great. The wontons themselves were fine but the Sichuan sauce was lacking depth of flavor. For dim sum, the char siu buns were fairly standard. Decent and tasty, a little bready but good. The siu mai were seriously good. Nice and plump, a lot of filling, thin wrapper, and very tasty. Chicken feet were lacking a little. The sauce was thin and no depth of flavor. Their cheung fun were really good. It's definitely something we will order again. Simple dish with a nice texture to the wrapper. I enjoyed the tofu skin but my wife found it too chewy for her liking. We finished our meal with a lava egg bun which was very good as well. Wait staff were about as attentive as any other Chinese restaurant. I know some people prefer more attention, but we did not expect this. Lastly, pay in cash and you get a discount.

(If only I could give 0 star) I excitedly came here to try their peking duck as others reviewed as one of the best in DFW. It was not. The skin is only 10% crispy and the fat under it makes me sick to my throat after a few bites. Duck meat is not well marinated either. I also tried xiao long bao aka “soup dumplings” but to my surprise it does NOT have any broth in it, which make them just regular dumplings, but the price is more expensive than other dumplings like they have more special ingredients. Their “xiao long bao” taste just like Costco’s frozen and nothing stands out. I also ordered chicken feet and flat noodles but foods here are just mediocre. Y’all should try ABC seafood, Ocean Chinese seafood restaurant, the Pearl in Arlington, Kirin Court or My Canh (Garland). Foods are MUCH MORE tasty and well prepared than this restaurant. okay bad foods are not the reason why i 1-star this restaurant. The server charged me automatically 20% my bill for gratuity but from the moment foods were out until the moment we are finished they did not once come and ask me how i was doing or what else do i need. They just handed out the foods on the table and that was it. I told them tip was for service but I didn’t receive any service and it was not worth 20%. They said they did bring out foods and water for me in the beginning?!?!?!?!? I was planning to change the 20% to 10% tip but their attitudes to us were unacceptable. They loudly cussing me with “Merry Christmas” and “thank you don’t come here anymore we will not serve you,” The 2 girls disrespectfully and continuously shouted in their loud tone “merry christmas thank you don’t come back.” We finally gave them 0 tip and of course will not coming back. What an awful experience y’all!

We love their fried rice so much that we drove from out of town to eat here. Quick service with extensive menu with dim sum items even during the afternoon. Also loved their soup dump, and pan fried pork buns. Yummmm! A minor thing to jab is the stir fried veggies and eggplant. They were slightly on the sweet side, not to our liking. Will be back for their fried rice again!

Best Peking Duck I’ve ever had. It tastes freshly made. We had other food too and everything was amazing. This is a place I’d recommend to my friends and family.
Marina H — Google review
Peking duck was the best dish here, tasted very clean and fresh, good flavor. I also loved the duck soup, tasted very good
Introrse L — Google review
The highlight of this place is the peking duck. Other food is decent, but the duck is what makes this place special. We ordered the duck, garlic shrimp, shrimp fried rice, and Shanghai xiaolongbao. I don't recommend getting the xiaolongbao as there was no soup on thr dumpling. Other food I recommend.
Andrew P — Google review
Food is delicious. We ordered the half duck, maggie shrimp and shrimp shumai. Really, really delicious food! The prices are fair as well. Service is slow but to be expected.

If you're on the hunt for authentic Thai cuisine, look no further than Ka-Tip Thai Street Food at the Dallas Farmers Market. This charming food stall specializes in dishes from Thailand's Isaan region, particularly their delightful sticky rice offerings. One standout dish is the yum woon sen, featuring clear noodles paired with crunchy celery, mushrooms, and ground chicken that transport your taste buds straight to Thailand with just one bite.
Good counter service style Thai place. Concise menu with some fun APAC chip flavors available too. Lots of chicken dishes and vegan options. I enjoyed the pad ka prow and dumplings. Good, if slightly under seasoned. Tables have additional seasonings available tho. Want to come back for the seafood pancake.
GK — Google review
First time here. I really enjoyed my chicken grapow which has authentic flavors IMO versus the Americanized one typical here, good portions and fast efficient service. Parking is on the other side of a building in a paid lot they will validate.

What an amazing little spot. My absolute favorite is Bangkok Inn, but this place is a must have if you love Thai food. Too good and the staff is amazing and so nice. Check it out!!
Pickles M — Google review
I spent about a month in Isaan province of Thailand about 15 years ago, returned to NYC where I lived for 20 years and enjoyed authentic Thai food from various regions there, it’s much easier to do there, you hop on a train and wind up at one. Here, it’s tricky. You read a review, and maybe John or Suzy don’t know wtf they’re talking about, maybe they like sweet food, or think Taco Bell is spicy, but then you find a place like Ka-Tip. Or rather your ex-girlfriend does, one evening when she visits you and you stay in a nearby hotel, to catch Marc Maron at the theatre. Ka-Tip is unassuming when you get inside and you’d never know, but it’s some of the best Thai food in the state. Doesn’t matter what dish, just pick one and then come back for others. Haven’t had a bad dish yet. Been sporadically getting dinners here for years now. I borked my ankle up over last weekend and last night I just didn’t feel it or have enough variety of ingredients to make a sound meal at home, my usual, and I had a delicious meal from them delivered at home. It seems pricey, but I’m telling you, you get what you pay for, especially with the seafood dishes which have always been fresh seafood, which, as a former chef, surprised the hell out of me the first time I had one of the seafood heavy dishes. But it shouldn’t, because these wonderful people, came here for a better life and missed their food and wanted to share with others and make a living. What’s wrong with that? Nothing I tell ya. Bon Appetito.

Such a wonderful experience going here for the first time! The shop is decorated so cozy and inviting - they’ve got a great patio too! The ladies working there are so friendly and accommodating, and the food is phenomenal! Great presentation and flavor - they really put their heart and soul into it. My new favorite spot for Thai!
Carly C — Google review
Real Thai flavor! Compliments to the Chef! Why not Upgrade your service and presentation by using real and nice plates instead of paper disposable bowls/plates. Environmentally conscious especially in a farmers market.
Isabelle P — Google review
Absolutely! Here’s a more relaxed, humanized version of your review while keeping the positive tone intact: --- This little spot is so cute and cozy, located near the Farmer's Market and close to Downtown Dallas. There’s plenty of seating inside and a nice patio for when the weather’s good. The menu is pretty affordable, too. We were welcomed by Yuyee, who recommended a few dishes for us to try. I’d definitely ask about the spice level when you order, though! She even let us try some of their teas, which was a nice touch. I really enjoyed the vibe here, and I’m so glad I finally decided to check it out. We also picked up a couple of Thai snacks to go. I’ll definitely be back! 😋 **Fri 02/10/2023** – Came back, and Yuyee greeted us right away 😊. We chatted a bit, and she told us this is a family-owned spot that gets pretty busy on weekends. I had the Pad Thai, and when Yuyee saw Kim’s order, she asked if she was getting the same thing. I was really impressed she remembered us and what we ordered last time—that’s pretty awesome! Lunch was delicious, and the portions were more than generous. Great experience overall! I highly recommend you stop by and give it a try. 👍👍 --- Let me know if you want to tweak it more or adjust the tone for a specific platform!

This is not only the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten, but the best food. I have been to all three locations and all of them have amazing staff, clean interiors and the food is consistent in all three places. I drive over an hour to eat here, have brought many friends and family from out of state and all say it is the best. So grateful for great food!

Pho restaurant
Nestled in a cozy strip mall, Phở Bắc is a delightful haven for lovers of Southeast Asian cuisine, offering an array of soups, sandwiches, and buns. Recently, I had the pleasure of trying their Phở Tái Kobe—a dish that has set a new standard for me. The rich flavors and generous portions of tender Kobe beef made it unforgettable.
I went on Sunday, and the place was packed, lively, and deliciously smelling aroma of Pho. Pho's broth is definitely traditional with years of experience. Portion size for a medium bowl was good enough for me. It's hard to find a place like this with a hot bowl of pho and taste absolutely delicious. Total recommended!!!!
Jd N — Google review
Really disappointed with my experience here. I came in on Friday night for pho and got bun bo hue to go. They said only a large is available to go, not small, not medium. Ok, fine. I didn’t eat it until Sunday morning, and when I did, it was already spoiled—super sour and completely inedible. Total waste of time and money. Really unacceptable to be served food that spoils that quickly. Food shouldn’t go bad that fast unless it was already sitting out or not stored properly.
Krystal N — Google review
This restaurant serves the best pho in town! The beef noodles are incredibly delicious and hot, making them the perfect remedy for when you're feeling under the weather. The friendly, family-oriented atmosphere adds to the experience, making it a truly comforting place to eat.
Hoang L — Google review
Phở Bắc is definitely worth the wait! When we arrived, there were a lot of customers, which shows how popular this place is. Despite the wait, the food was absolutely delicious, flavorful broth and fresh ingredients made every bite amazing. If you’re craving authentic and tasty pho, this is the place to go!
Celine H — Google review
The Pho chicken soup that I had received wasn't bad. But I will always have my favorite pho soup in Las Vegas, Nevada. The service is great and wasn't too crowded. The parking isn't bad it isn't a little small complex, but there should be plenty of parking.
Miss A — Google review
Visited on a Wednesday at 2pm and the place was bustling. Service was quick and polite. I had the Mi Bo Kho, which is yellow egg noodles in their beef stew. The stew had a great depth of flavors and seasonings. The stew had plenty of beef brisket/belly, carrots and the thick texture clinched to the noodles. The noodles were cheery and delicious.
Fansntt — Google review
i can't tell if I'm getting all is the meat i requested in the pho bo i asked for between 4 to 5 meats but the portions are small even in the large and i ddnt taste all of the meat choices i requested
All M — Google review
Always come here for the pho tai – it’s legit amazing. I always add beef tendon and tripe too… game changer. The broth is super flavorful, and everything’s cooked just right. If you’re into pho, you’ve gotta try this place. Try “pickle onions” an “Ot sate” - it goes so well together with beef.

Chicken restaurant
Restaurant
No.1 Plus Chicken is a low-key spot known for its Korean-style chicken and classic dishes, open until late hours. The menu features a variety of options including battered hot wings or nude wings with a choice of sauces like yangyum, soy, garlic, mango habanero and crack cheese. Prices range from $13.95 for eight to $55.95 for 32 wings.
It’s always amazing to see more and more establishments offering halal options, and No. 1 Chicken is doing it right. We usually go to their other location that’s closer to our house and have always enjoyed the food there — it’s become a regular spot for us. But this time we were in the area and decided to stop by this location, and it was great to see that they also carry halal items on the menu. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They took the time to clearly explain which items are halal and which aren’t, which we really appreciated. We ordered their wings in two flavors — honey garlic and buffalo — and both were on point. Crispy, flavorful, and served fresh. It’s not just the food that makes this place great, but also the care and hospitality they show their customers. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you’re looking for halal-friendly options in the area.
Mubeen K — Google review
No. 1 Plus chicken has a great assortment of Korean fried chicken. The waiting staff was nice, but it took a while to seat us and for the food to come out. The Korean fried chicken was good and very tasty. Teokbokki was also great and the chicken being halal is a huge plus!
Ammar A — Google review
Good but could be better. There was so much dressing on the onion salad that it was almost soup! The kimchi was very blah, like it came from Costco. The chicken was crispy and hot but the traditional sauce they used on it was ice cold. That made the chicken taste weird. The dry rub is no joke so be careful with the spice level you chose.
Carl O — Google review
Great spot to eat and investigate how Korean style 😋 fried chicken is a whole different experience. Usually, we go to BBQ chicken for chicken and taeboki . We were not disappointed. Don't sleep 😴 on their sweet potato fries.

A Flavor Explosion at No.1 Plus Chicken - Dallas: Cozy Comfort, Fiery Delight This place is a true hidden gem that's quickly become my go-to for an unforgettable chicken experience: No.1 Plus Chicken - Dallas. Don't let its humble, cozy exterior fool you; this little spot packs a mighty punch when it comes to flavor and a wonderfully inviting atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and intimate ambiance. It's the kind of place where you can comfortably settle in for a delicious meal, whether you're catching up with friends or enjoying a solo culinary adventure. But let's talk about the star of the show: the chicken. Simply put, it's amazing. What truly sets No.1 Plus Chicken apart is their masterful command of spice. For those of us who appreciate a good kick, their spice levels are dialed in to perfection, hitting just the right note without overwhelming the incredible flavors of the chicken. An absolute must-try is their chicken mix with spicy. This dish is a revelation, offering a harmonious blend of textures and an explosion of savory, spicy goodness that will have you reaching for more. And if you're a fan of classic comfort, their chicken wings are equally stellar – crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. As if the fantastic food wasn't enough, No.1 Plus Chicken offers an excellent bonus: a dedicated bar section. This elevates the entire experience, allowing you to pair your incredible chicken with your favorite drinks, adding an extra layer of fun and relaxation to your meal. It's the perfect combination for those who enjoy a lively yet laid-back dining experience. I recommend everyone to try this place at least once ✌️🏻

You have to be able to back up a name like No. 1 Plus Chicken. I gave this place a shot and was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was fried very well, and the sauce was amazing. You can choose the amount of spice. The staff was fun and helpful. I would definitely visit again.

The food here is fresh, well-seasoned, and some of the best chicken I’ve ever had. I tried the original with spicy seasoning and a side of their green onion topping, both of which were excellent. Highly recommended.

Ramen restaurant
Izakaya restaurant
Tucked away in the Castle Hills neighborhood of Lewisville, just south of The Colony, Ramen Izakaya Akira is a hidden gem overseen by chef Akira Imamura. This cozy spot offers freshly made noodles and an intimate bar where you can watch the chefs at work. The restaurant opens at 5:00pm and provides a small, quiet setting for about 25 guests.
As they operate out of Moonlight atm, seating fills up quickly during dinner hours. Highly recommend making reservations after 6 PM on their busy days. Jazz-themed decor and music made the dining experience very intimate. My wife and I each got our own ramen and opted for the daily chutoro special; it did not disappoint. It was so fresh that my wife, who is usually unable to eat seafood due to the smell of most sashimi, was able to enjoy two large pieces of the chutoro. The Nagoya ramen has a spicy kick from the special chili oil, and the Tokyo shoyu ramen is definitely full of umami. If you haven't dined here yet, you are definitely missing out!
Jason Y — Google review
Y’all… I just had the spicy garlic chicken ramen at Akira and I’m actually speechless!First of all, that broth?? Rich. Spicy. Garlicky. It hit like a warm hug and a mic drop at the same time. The chicken karage was like soya glazed crispy chicken which was also so good!
Samiha T — Google review
My new favorite ramen spot. The pork broth ramen was well balanced and savory. Noodles were and chewy and perfect. The pork belly was thick cut and had amazing flavor. I will be coming here again.
Tris P — Google review
We went to the ramen Akita with the family for lunch. Although there was only one person - owner, chef?- the service was attentive and personable. The menu was simple, which IMO, is preferable compared to a long list and the food/ramen was excellent. I tried the chicken karaage and spicy garlic chicken ramen. The broth was savory and flavorful and the texture of the ramen was just right.
Hong K — Google review
I got the spicy garlic chicken ramen and it was out of this world. Might be my newest favorite ramen in DFW. Definitely coming back and would 10/10 recommend.
Hiral P — Google review
The food here was pretty mediocre in my opinion. Kept hearing about it and wasn't impressed. Kind of weird to order a spicy pork shoyu with all the ingredients at the bottom. There were multiple noodles that were sticking together and the noodles were a bit mushy. The broth did make up for my review from a two star to a three star though. I did try the beef tataki and again, wasn't impressed. I think everyone should give it a try though before going off my review since we all have different taste buds. Some of you guys might actually like this place. It isn't a 4+ rated place for nothing.

Alamo Club is a cozy spot located in Lowest Greenville, offering upscale comfort food, cocktails, and weekend brunch. One of their standout dishes is the Breakfast Sandwich, featuring pecan smoked bacon, eggs cooked to order, crispy hash browns, shredded longhorn cheddar cheese, and jalapeno mayo. The restaurant is known for its killer margaritas and outdoor patio. Visitors can enjoy delicious food and reasonably priced cocktails while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere.
Went for happy hour on a Thursday night and it was dead! Great happy hour deals and the server was very attentive (especially given we were the only people on the patio). Feels like it would be a great place for a large group or day drinking. We will be back!

First timer alert! Wow what a fun vibe. Zach was our server and he was so cool, fun, and patient with my rowdy group of girlfriends. I couldn’t believe it when he told me his accent was from Arkansas and not Canada! I’m Canadian and I swear he sounds just like my friends back home. I’ve been needing a cool bar where I can get to know the locals since I moved from Canada. Drinks and food were both great. Thanks again Zach!
Melody A — Google review
My husband and I stopped in for a light bite and drinks on Sunday afternoon. We were pleasantly surprised by the great experience we had. We sat ourselves outside on the patio. Our server (I wish I remembered his name) was fantastic - he provided great recommendations and was super attentive. The queso was superb but the cocktails are what really blew us away. They were very reasonably priced and had something for everyone. Their house-made Apple vodka cocktail was so light and refreshing. We will definitely be back to try more drinks and food.
Shelbi D — Google review
Menu has changed from delicious unique food to frozen bar food. The short rib pappardelle is gone. The miso Caesar salad is gone. I had my bday dinner here and was so embarrassed to have dragged 8 people out for chicken nuggets, Taco Bell crunch wraps, and withered romaine lettuce salads. I’ve been a regular for 10+ years, even went out of my way to support during covid, and they’ve now decided to downgrade to bad drinks and fast food level food. I’m so disappointed and sadly won’t be back. Dallas regulars beware.
Vincent N — Google review
We come to Alamo Club often and always enjoy our visit! The food is always amazing. The servers and bartenders are very hospitable and very nice! Destiny the bartender made our day! We will definitely continue to come here for the wonderful food, drinks and impeccable service!
Ashleymh84 — Google review
I would describe Alamo Club’s food as “elevated bar food with a unique twist” that exceeded my expectations. The food tastes good but, I will likely just go back for appetizers and drinks rather than a main course meal. I really enjoyed the intimate atmosphere and vintage decor which make for a great date night locale. I recommend getting reservations as it books up quickly!
Megan — Google review
Drinks are good food is delicious! My wife told me split the Philly with her. Unfortunately due to the paperwork I signed with her, I had to Agree. The sandwich was the closest to heaven I’ve been. Delicious. The fries fresh and seasoned perfectly. I’m leaving my wife and getting a Philly. Why? It was that good and I don’t want to share anymore!!!!
Scott X — Google review
You couldn’t sink faster than this place if your name was Titanic. My friends and I would frequently go on Wednesday for trivia and “all day happy hour”. The service and atmosphere are always good. The happy hour is a decent price for drinks but the food is ridiculously overpriced. All the burgers, sandwiches, etc. are a la carte, so if you want a burger and fries it’s $18 for concession stand level food. If you want fast food level chicken nuggets with fries they have you covered for a low price of $21. Insanely priced when you receive your food in plastic baskets. We will unfortunately be finding another place to go to trivia every week. My 6 year old brother could make better food at cheaper prices than this and I don’t even have a brother. YEAH RIGHT.
