Federalist Pig absolutely knocked it out of the park for us this past Saturday night. We ordered the Two Step Platter and the Sampler Platter, and every bite was a smoky, savory delight. Two Step Platter • Pork Rib Tips • Chicken Wings • Crispy Brussels Sprouts • Seasoned French Fries Sampler Platter • Pulled Pork Shoulder • Turkey Breast • Jalapeño Cheese Sausage • Cole Slaw • BBQ Beans The place was spotless, and the customer service was primo. We ordered a Narragansett beer, and the General Manager happened to notice it was one of their newer additions. He let us know there were even colder beers in a nearby fridge—such a small touch, but exactly the kind of attention that makes a place stand out. Between the phenomenal food, the sparkling clean space, and the thoughtful service, it was about as magnificent a Saturday evening as a couple could have for American BBQ in the nation’s capital. We can’t wait to go back!

The Smoked Chicken excellently cooked, great crust and really juicy. Amazing flavors and pairs really well with their carolina sauce. Their two way tray is a bit pricey, but you get a decent amount of food so I’m not upset. Customer service was okay, and you mostly do everything yourself. Big open space with a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, very clean, but nothing spectacular in terms of decorations. Had a good time!

Amazing experience. Different bbq than I have had before. Delicious and tasty. Varieties of sauce were also amazing. Dry ribs are the best. Brisket, rib tips, ribs and chicken were the best tasting offerings plus amazing side like roasted Brussel sprouts, fries, coleslaw, mac and cheese and more... A Must Try!!!

First time in and I have nothing but good things to say. Got a great recommendation from the gentleman at the counter and went with the 2meat/2side platter. Portions were great and flavors were exceptional. Ribs were fall off the bone, brisket burnt ends were tender and perfectly glazed, crispy brussel sprouts were plentiful, cooked and seasoned perfectly. Will definitely be coming back.

Food is soo gooood. Meat choices and meat flavor is that delicious american barbeque. I just wish they had more options for drinks…and also more delicious. Service… meh, don’t expect good service in America😂 overall though, twas good and delicious.

Popped on in since I was in the neighborhood and had a proper parking spot. Good luck finding parking btw but you should already know that if you’re planning on coming through. Now about the food. My wife and I both grabbed a two step, which is two meats of your choice and two sides. I got the pork ribs and the jalapeño cheddar sausage with mac and cheese and bbq beans on the side. My wife got the pulled pork and 1/4 chicken with fries and slaw on the side. The ribs were really good very tender and tasty, the sausage was good, can’t really mess it up. The beans had great flavor and consistency but the mac and cheese was pure garbage. Not seasoned noodles were beyond boiled and the cheese sauce was runny. Please outsource the making of the Mac it’s not going well for y’all over there. The pulled pork was very tasty and had a nice kick on the finish and the chicken was properly smoked but a little dry. Just stick to the pork. The slaw has potential and the fries stole the show!!!! If I ever make it back it’ll be for an order of ribs and fries. I’m actually glad I had the opportunity to try them out. I remember seeing the food truck in Hyattsville and always wanted to give it a go. I say give them a shot if you’re in the area, but don’t go plotting and planning. They’re so many other bbq spots in the area with better food and better parking

Very good food. Everything had great flavor and was the perfect tperature. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. 2, 2 meat combos and a quarter chicken. I will be back soon to try more menu items. Glad i finally made the trip!

We came here for lunch and were seated after waiting for a few minutes without a reservation. The staff was friendly, and our server David was very professional. I had a tasty cheeseburger with a Caesar salad, while my husband enjoyed the sushi. The only downside was that the Caesar salad had a bit too much dressing—next time we’d ask for it on the side. The Hamilton has a lively atmosphere, great service, and a menu with something for everyone. Definitely worth a visit.

Decided to check this spot out on a hangry whim after a concert. Coming from a town where anything sit down decent is closed at 9-10 this was a very welcome change of pace. Caleb was our main bartender, and quite the vibe. Really made my wife and I feel welcome, without needing to order 4 drinks to take us serious. Sharp mixologist. Also: fantastic Negroni. First impression of a real Maryland style crab cake was delicious and tender! The autumn salad had a VERY leafy and bitter taste which is unusual and welcomed; loved. The she crab soup was Bussdown amazing, and the tenders were nothing to scoff at. Fries just a lil on the warm side, but wasn’t here for that. Took my European family here for lunch after walking the mall for a few hours. The lobster roll was stuffed filled with lobsters in a delicious brioche bun. Accompanied by crunchy fries, and homemade coleslaw. This was a perfect pick me up. My dad had the lobster pasta. The crustaceans were juicy, and they didn’t skimp on the meat. I didn’t get a photo of the octopus ink colored linguine with fruit di mare but my nephew confirmed that it was absolutely delicious. Our server was pretty busy during the lunchtime rush. We thoroughly enjoyed it though. Definitely a great spot to take out of towners.

September 12, 2024 - First time experience at The Hamilton was beyond our greatest expectations. We were gifted tickets to see Keep Flying, Ballyhoo, and The Mad Caddies. The music was phenomenal as well as our seating area. It was nice to dine and see a concert. We were shocked at how fancy & upscale the concert venue was for an alternative, reggae, punk, & ska music band. The food was so so. The white wine & sushi I ordered were good yet not spectacular especially for their price. It was nice to order food at our table in front of the stage for the concert. Pitchers of water & glasses were available at our table - a nice touch. It was a very unforgettable night in DC I will cherish forever.

We had the best server George here at The Hamilton. George knew everything about the entire menu and we did need a lot of help pairing entrees and various wines as this menu is packed with all sorts of great combinations. I suggest the newer ‘wicked tuna sushi roll’ and the ‘cherry blossom roll’ then salmon sashimi. Pair this with a beautiful SavBlanc fromNew Zealand and you are set. We came here expecting a long wait time given the reviews and being a Friday night, but we were quickly seated and with some amazing service. It was surprisingly very child friendly and the food and atmosphere was amazing. This was out first time in DC and definitely a must try place. We would highly recommend visiting and will be back!

Incredibly impressed with The Hamilton, this place is huge, beautifully decorated, and really well staffed. All of the staff were kind and courteous and our waiter Lorenzo was superb. The quality of this place matches the price, and it was completely reasonable. Definitely will be back in the future. The portions were huge and the food was flavorful, I did not expect the appetizers, especially the mussels to be as generous as they were. The burger was fantastic, the Parmesan fries were great, pork belly and tuna were fantastic as well. We had reservations and had to wait about 5 minutes for a table while they set it up.

Fish was decent (fried catfish & grilled salmon) but the sides were way below average. I was not impressed. The mac n cheese was not good! Very bad taste & texture. Very clunky. I was honestly looking forward to that side the most. 😔Mashed potatoes were missing the gravy and were continuously still “hard” after re-warming up. 😕 No bueno. I would not return to this specific takeout location. I agree with other reviews that this establishment is overpriced for the output...

I went to howard years ago 2016-2020 and Oohh’s and aahh’s was in its prime. I’m back in DC visiting and I wanted to come get the food that I always loved and known. For one it was very bland the yams had no type of sweetness or flavor. You can tell by the picture the mac was HORRIBLE, it looks like box mac but tasted even worse and just not the mac I remember them making. I had to go back and get a different side because the mac was disgusting. They gave me a side of cabbage, the cabbage was also flavorless. The only thing that tasted the same was the fried chicken. When they was a hole in the wall before the renovations everything slapped and was on point they fell off so bad.

Fifer was amazing she was knowledgeable in regards to the menu gave suggestions and even got my son to laugh when we were having a rough day. This is what community is all about. Good food and good hearts. She is definitely a keeper and we definitely will be back. It has been a long time since we had patronized this establishment because the last time my experience was not all that well, but I got home today and I can honestly say that my food was accurate. It was still warm and Fifer made this a wonderful experience for us.

I came to the DMV area for my birthday and was determined to eat at all black restaurants. This was my first stop. The food was delicious. The short ribs were tender, the creamy grits were prefect, and the cabbage was just right. Not to mention the bbq sauce was definitely homemade and delicious!!!!

I recently visited this restaurant and had an absolutely terrible experience that night, and for the following few days. I was visiting from Texas to the DMV and then traveled to DC to experience the nightlife and try your restaurant. We arrived Friday night to go out and ended our evening at your restaurant at 3:30 AM. Immediately was noticed It was very unorganized but the food smelled great so we were excited to place an order. The staff was yelling at everyone to decide what they wanted before they came to the register because apparently people were moving a little slower than they liked. After placing our order, we stepped outside with our ticket. Close to 4 AM we went back inside the restaurant gave them our name and were handed a tied plastic bag that looked like it had containers of food inside. We accepted our bag and drove back to Virginia. When we are arrived we were excited to dive into our meals we ordered which were fish and grits, and an order of wings and macaroni Along with a strawberry cake. Receipt #369 ( I still have the receipt from payment and the ticket on the bag) We sat down and opened our bag, and we instantly felt the blow of disappointment. We received our strawberry cake and one order of catfish and Mac , which was not what we ordered. The catfish seemed a little older and dry, maybe because it was 4am. Because it was long after 4 when we made it home, we knew the restaurant will be closed so we shared the one plate and planned to call as soon as the restaurant opened the next day. We called into your restaurant and explained the situation, and they immediately asked us if we took a picture. I said no I did not take a picture of the incorrect order but I have my receipts. I told him I’m not looking for a refund and that I’m here from out of town and I really just want to experience the food that I paid for. Donald and Tony both advised me after multiple calls that while they have made mistakes in the past, they are not taking responsibility for this mistake because they do not believe I actually did not get my food. Of course, instead of telling me this directly, they made me a call back for three days in a row, asking for a manager and telling me that they would be in contact with me later, after speaking with a general manager, with whom I never heard back from. Each time I called I was met with push back and comments that circled back to me not taking a picture. A few times I called a young lady answered sounding extremely intoxicated and yelling at other people in the restaurant. Each employee/member of management basically said I was lying about my food and refused to take responsibility for their mistake. Fast forward 2WEEKS: A week after this incident, I sent an email to their official email address posted on their website. I was contacted by two people who claimed to be owners of the business. One was very apologetic and assured me she would take care of this issue and make me happy, but she never responded after that and then another Tony, emailed me and spoke about being in contact with me about the situation and also never reached back out. To this day, I’ve heard nothing. I love supporting black businesses and I want to continue, this is the prime example of why I move with caution. I spent $50 on food I didn’t not receive, what I got tasted old and No one wants to take responsibility or even have the decency to follow up with me. I feels scammed and taken advantage of.

I just ordered fish and grits and they fixed the grits and put no fish in my plate. Only grits gravy and peppers. I keep calling but they won't answer.keep sending calls to voicemail. This is horrible! I'm from out of town! Took an Uber there and they won't even answer the phone!!!

Best seasoned grilled chicken I’ve ever had and makes me remember how family used to cook. Food so good you’ll be going here more than once a week and will have you craving it when you’re hungry.

Bar type atmosphere with nice R&B music playing. Food was pretty good. Can do without the mozzarella sticks the next time. Pasta was a solid 8. Definitely want to try the wings next time.

Sunday Brunch I didn't realize Stan's has Brunch. I have been to Stan's plenty times (dinner) and they are known for their fried wings and heavy pours (if you're a drinker) well, their Brunch isn't very popular and I can see why... There is no bottomless mimosa option. This isn't a terrible thing since they are known for heavy pours but a personal (mini) bottle of la Marca for $14+ USD is asinine. I stuck with the usual golden margarita. - I don't know what happened this visit because it was disgusting. Tasted heavily based in OJ I struggled to get through it. In fact, I didn't finish it and ordered a tequila neat. The service was great since no one else was there. Literally there was only one person sitting at the bar and then us at the table. We arrived at noon. People started coming around 1:30 PM EST but it still wasn't as packed as I'm accustomed to Stan's being. We had space to spread out and that's never happened before. Music was playing- so the vibe was there. Food: the food looks better than it tasted. I ordered an omelet and it was jam packed with veggies but still bland. I thought it could have been cheesier. My friend ordered waffles 🧇 (again they look amazing) but she said they were just "ok" and "look better in the picture" we split a half order of wings (again they were the best thing on the menu). I ordered a side of bacon 🥓 thinking it would be four pieces for $6 USD as stated on the menu but there were near seven pieces of bacon. This would have been great if they were delicious and crispy but they were chewy and just ok. I ended up only eating two pieces. They do have all day happy hour on Sundays, I imagine to draw people in but they will have to amplify their options and the taste to get me back there for brunch. It was quite disappointing.

Sean the Manager was so kind made sure to check in on us. We had an amazing first experience at Stan’s. The Drinks were strong but still delicious (The Cirroc Obama was so good), and the food was amazing! Jack Jack was an amazing server and made us feel right at home. The wings are absolutely crucial and Red Velvet Cake was the perfect finish. Thanks for a great Dinner and experience.

This place has great happy hour times and specials. It's on the lower level so it's dark in the bar area but the tables/eating areas are well lit. Service is friendly but busy. They are all very approachable still. They are known for their wings. I got the fried version but I think their baked ones are better. Their mozzarella sticks are good too. Their portions are generous and easily shareable. We love going here when we're in the area

Whewww, let me tell y’all, going to Stan’s after brunch was a mistake… but also the best idea ever 😂. Stans is famous for their four-ounce pours, and they do not play about it. I swear they don’t skimp on a single drop. I ordered a tequila-based drink (can’t even remember what exactly because I was already brunch-drunk lol), but it came out strong. Like, whole-cup-of-tequila strong. You’ll feel it quick, so honestly, make Stan’s your first stop if you’re trying to pregame or have a litt night. We also ordered food and everything hit: • Whole Fried Chicken Wings with Mambo sauce – 10/10. That was my first time trying Mambo sauce (I’m from the South, we don’t have it down here), and let me just say…WOW. Sweet, tangy, savory, and the perfect pairing with the crispy wings. • Quesadillas – 10/10. Huge, stuffed with meat, and super flavorful. • Onion Rings – 7/10. Not the freshest batch, but still decent. The vibe at Stan’s is chill, classic, and definitely a DC gem. If you know, you know. Great food, strong drinks, and a place where locals and visitors all feel welcome. Pro tip: Don’t show up already tipsy unless you’re ready for your night to escalate fast 😅. But if you’re in DC, Stan’s is a must-visit!

I absolutely love stans! It is a must have whenever I am in DC. The wings 10/10 and the crab stuffed salmon 10000/10. It is magnificent. Highly recommend. Cannot wait to come back soon.

I had the best time at Stan’s DC Restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was warm, welcoming, and full of energy. It has that classic, no-frills charm that instantly makes you feel like a regular—even on your first visit. The service was quick and genuinely friendly (shoutout to our server, who made great drink recommendations and had us laughing all night!). I ordered the fried chicken wings, and let me just say—they were perfectly crispy and seasoned just right. Definitely a must-try! The drinks were strong in the best way, and prices were super reasonable for DC.

The sauces that came with the meal did not make sense and didn’t taste good. The hush puppies were hard and the collard greens were sweet and vinegary, which was disappointing because they looked like they were cooked well. The ribs were the only thing I really liked — they were cooked well and had good flavor. The wings were over-smoked and too hard. Overall, I would not order from here again.

I actually got this a couple months ago and forgot to post lol but DCity Smokehouse did not miss with this one. This daiquiri was so bomb! The colors had me hype before I even tasted it, and it was hitting sweet, strong, and just right. The vibe at the bar was chill, service was fast, and they hooked me up with that big tall bottle to go🙌that made it feel like a whole event 😂Whether you grab it to go or sit and sip you won’t be disappointed!! Definitely one of those drinks I’d come back for again🔥

The food was overall good the chicken wings and pulled pork very delicious but the brisket was dry you could not even jew it and the ribs was with a lot of bone knuckles. Go for the wings !

Arrived there following an online review describing the place as one of the best if not the best BBQ in DC. I was massively hungry and in need of a fix for a brisket crave, therefore I ordered a BBQ sampler platter (brisket + bbq ribs) with fried onions and potato salad as sides. The plate was massive with the sides being more than already fairly-sized. I am not a BBQ specialist per se but the brisket was one of the best I have ever had so far with a meat incredibly tasty and juicy. The ribs were more than OK and the sides were incredibly good, with a special mention to the potato salad which was astonishingly flavorful. Staff was very nice and welcoming and the place making you feel at home, with nice drinks available at the bar as well (even had a perfect old-fashioned as a nightcap). All in all, to sum things up, whenever you are craving for a really good BBQ when in DC, head over to the DC City Smokehouse. Based on my experience you will not regret it!

I have loved this place for years but wow, prices have skyrocketed. There was a time I was eating here 3x/week but it’s become much less affordable. A small side went from $5 -> $9 almost overnight. That’s just off the charts for beans, greens, or cole slaw. Prices are also 10 - 15% higher if you use the online ordering system for pickup, which means you have to wait in the inevitable line not pay extra extra if you want to quickly pick up dinner. I’m writing this as I wait 15 min for my food rather than being able to just pop in. All this makes me feel pretty fleeced and dispirited about eating here. Not sure I’m coming back soon.

This place served legit and tasty bbq. We had a brisket steak and cheese sandwich, wing and rib combo and bbq sampler. All the meats were flavorful and cooked well. The sides were excellent. Hush puppies, seasoned fries, seasoned tied onions, Mac and cheese were exactly what we wanted. Would definitely recommend and return. Bonus, they’re open until midnight on Saturday. The atmosphere and music was lively and my son liked the vibe.

I visited Honeymoon Chicken and ordered the three-piece signature hot honey dipped. The chicken was seasoned and fried to pure perfection… crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The hot honey sauce was finger-licking good and added the perfect sweet-heat kick. I skipped the sides this time, but the three-piece with the rolls was filling enough on its own. The flavors were amazing, and the restaurant itself is cute and quaint. Ordering is done through a QR code, which makes the service quick and efficient. I can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!

The food was incredible! I enjoyed everything I had. Food is flavorful and well seasoned. This is some good chicken! I also appreciate the variety of options. Sat outside, not ideal because of the wind and insects, the interior didn’t accommodate a party of five. The service was fine; ordered from phone using a QR code on the table; food was served pretty quickly. We ordered some seasonal drinks as well and they were great. Highly recommend!

One of the best spots in town! The food was fresh, hot and very tasty. I must say, the spices in the chicken is not for the weak. I recommend getting their ranch which was very delicious helps make the heat more tolerable. The waffle was sweet, i believe i tasted a hint of cinnamon as well. Whenever I'm back in town definitely will return!

Been hearing about this place for months. The best chicken in the area...here's my review. Ordered the fried chicken original. Chicken and waffles. Cauliflower salad. Chicken was good but not the best I have ever tried. Chicken and waffles were okay but nothing special. The buns were pretty tasty. Overall it was a pretty good meal and price wise it was just a bit expensive.

My boyfriend and I ate here while visiting D.C. the food was so delicious we went back on our last night in town. It is an all a cart menu, so sides are sold separately. I got the Cesar salad wrap and the Brussels sprouts. If you like Brussels sprouts you will LOVE theirs. The drink I got is called strawberry firework, I think. The second time we went I got a a honey roll. Those are so good I could eat a 100 of them. If you go get a honey roll. The atmosphere was great. The service was good. Although you don’t really have a server, as you order through a QR code on the table. The food was so delicious I highly recommend trying this place.

My partner and I got the chicken sandwich, ceasar wrap and mac and cheese. The coleslaw had a different taste but wasn't for me. The only suggestion I would make would be to advise not to take the trash out while customers are eating. It was a bit off putting see them coming out with trash bags. I understand it needs to be done, but perhaps not while folks are eating or maybe through a back door. Other than that, we really enjoyed the food! Good flavor and portion size was amazing. Will definitely be back.

Went for dumpling happy hour on a whim when I was in the area. It was great! Decent prices ($5 for 3 medium sized dumplings), but the real benefit was the taste. I recommend trying each type of dumpling. Very saucy and crispy but perfectly cooked inside. There was only one other person there when I went around 4:30pm so no wait time either.

Dumpling happy hour from 3-6pm and plenty of additional delicious options. Loved having locally brewed beverage options and the blood orange gose was perfect on a steamy day. I am delighted to have a new go-to option in DuPont. It’s only two blocks from the Q St Metro stop, too.

Ordered takeout from here. Got the chicken fried rice which was really good! It had lovely chunks of bacon in there. I also tried the soup which was flavorful and a good amount of spicy. I’d probably go back and sit in the store. Portion sizes are worth the price!

Flavors were not subtle: very strong, definitely high on salt and sugar. Some of it had a slightly burning feeling in my throat. The fusion is fine but if you're not used to food that rich, it's a bit much on the body. Service was appalling, with the aloof waitress cleaning tables by spraying from a distance and splashing nearby customers. The very rusty staircase leading up to this place needs fixing soon. Bad acoustic, the place gets really noisy with just a few tables. All in all, I'd do take out but I don't enjoy being in there.

One thing that never disappoints is the Chiko dumpling hour. Their sauces are always to die for, dumplings are fresh, and drinks are delicious. Their spiked asian pear cooler is so delicious and super refreshing and combined with the chilled peanut noodles it is really the perfect summer meal. Also the stir fried rice cakes was so perfect and its just a really wonderful and vegetarian friendly spot I love to come back to.

So good. We had the cumin lamb stir fry, shrimp lo mein, spicy bulgigi, soy glazed brisket, fried veggie dumplings and napa cabbage kimchi. There is a veggie and gluetin free menu that makes ordering with allergies so easy! The cumin lamb stir fry, shrimp lo mein and spicy bulgigi DELICIOUS! Well seasoned, scrumptious and filling. Highly recommend. For most, the cumin lamb stir fry will be very spicy. If you like spicy food, that's a must.

Went during restaurant week and had an incredible meal for $40! Counter service and first come first serve tables but the food punched far above its weight. Highly recommend the spicy cucumber, smashed salmon, and coconut custard.

This is definitely a historic and iconic place, and I can see why so many people love it. The atmosphere is great, it really gives you that classic American vibe. As for the food, we liked it, but to be honest, I’d rate it 4 out of 5. French fries weren't our favorite. Also, they forgot one of the milkshakes we ordered, and we had to wait quite a while for it. It was finally brought out when we had already finished eating and were getting ready to leave.

A classic American diner with chili dishes and more. Juicy and tasty hot dogs, very good burgers and sandwiches. The fries are really good—I personally prefer them without cheese, as I think the cheese makes them a bit worse, but that’s just a matter of taste. If you want to dine in a typical tourist-style American diner, this is the right place for you. I had a burger with cheesy fries, then more fries and a hot dog. Everything was good, and the prices were fair! I would suggest improving the way order numbers are called out for dish delivery, since they are hard to hear because of the background noise and the loudspeaker. Also, I’d remove the fries served in the paper bag, which feel a bit underwhelming. Highly recommended!

This was an amazing experience for me! So much history in a landmark! The hot dog burst juice as soon as a put a fork in it! Delicious chili cheese fries and this homemade coconut cake with pineapple was SINFUL! The staff are so friendly, they make you feel right at home. Their original spot across the street is being remodeled, but there temporary space was just as amazing. You’ve won my heart, Ben’s Chili Bowl! I will be back! Cool merch as well. Not sure how I’m going to fit it!

A must stop in DC. Had a friendly greeting and was seated promptly. We were lucky it wasn't super busy, but there are 2 rooms of seating beyond the front counter entrance. Had chili, half-smoke chili dog, corn bread, and banana pudding. All were so delicious! Music they played was awesome too...it was a nice lunch!!

Great place with tons of history. It’s a great midnight snack. Definitely enjoyed the half smokes. We tried both the original and spicy and prefer the original. The onion rings were decent too but portions are too small.

The low rating is mainly due to the lackluster French fries and Ben's half smoke. The French fries were rather cold at some parts and the half smoke was mild. I felt like I was robbed. Could have gone to McDonald's and Costco and came out ahead and been fuller. The only highlight was the Oreo milkshake, which is absolutely delicious. Be forewarned that there are charges for additional things added to the fries. I had to remove cheese and few things to get it to the price point I wanted.

We ordered one Big Ben’s burger with fries, one side order of fries, one chocolate shake and a mocha latte. We paid $41. We visited the airport location. The burger is supposed to be steroid-free, non-frozen, but it tasted like any other reg burger. The fries were on the top worse fries as they tasted high in sodium and frozen. The shakes are made with cheap syrups. The mocha was one of the worse as well. We couldn’t finish the fries nor the shake. The lady who took our order was clearly sleep-deprived and not in a good mood. The overall experience wasn’t good and over priced for cheap food. Wouldn’t recommend spending your money at this place. Very disappointed.

I love going to this place every time I'm in DC. The barbecue is great, no matter what meal you get. It is a rustic atmosphere, so expect that. Service is sometimes good and sometimes slow. Ordering is from the counter. Once you go there the first time, you understand how that works and there's no surprises. Just good food. I love every one of their sides as well as the brisket the pulled pork and everything else I've tried. This is a no lose proposition!

We had a very good experience at Hill Country DC. I loved the Texas themed decorations and the informal service, cafeteria style. We had an excellent, melt-in-your-mouth, moist brisket, with chile and Mac & cheese, and home Made lemonade that was really good, not topo sweet. It was a shame that the Line dancing night was cancelled, but the staff was very helpful and best over heels to find a solution and refund me the amount that I had already paid for it. final bill was 54$. Highly recommended.

Great experience at Hill Country in Washington DC. I have visited the one in New York City and enjoy my experience there. Lots of space the main area. There is also some bar seating as well. After entering the restaurant, you go toward the back area to get your food. You can choose your meats and sides there. I decided to go with the two meats, two sides and cornbread muffin combo ($32). I got the brisket, smoked turkey, collards and chili. You can then take your food and sit where you want. There is a server there to assist with your drinks there, including alcoholic drinks. (Beers were $7) Everything was very good. The brisket and collards stood out...as did the cornbread muffins. I also particularly liked their signature sauce which was available at each table. The drink server, food station servers and hostesses were all very nice.

Took a recommendation from family to stop in, as "I wouldn't regret it!" I'm sure glad I did! I had the Brisket (lean) and pulled pork. That pulled pork is in the top three of the best pulled pork I've ever eaten. So juicy, tender and full of flavor. The overall atmosphere is that of an actual smokehouse and really sets you up for the great food you're about to embark upon. If you're into authentic pit BBQ and in the area, you will not be disappointed.

Went here with some new friends tonight! It was a great place for a large group because there’s tons of seating. I had the brisket sandwich, which was great. Tons of meat and the option to add onions, pickled onions, and pickles. The sandwich comes with one side (I chose mac and cheese, which I didn’t love). I would say the meat was better than any of the sides I tried. The baked beans were just okay, and needed more flavor. The mac and cheese was …. interesting. Some people my group flat out hated it, while I thought it was just okay. Nothing to write home about. Collard greens were good, and the sausage was too. Overall a fun spot with nice servers, quick service, and great barbecue.

I grew up in Texas and still remember the salsa commercial with the lines “New York City! Get a rope!” I always approach BBQ outside of Texas with the same attitude. This experience made me rethink that notion! The pitmasters are lively (reminds me of home). The pork belly melts in your mouth, The swine sauce has a mustardy kick. The brisket is moist and has a great smoke ring. The dirty rice has a great balance of flavor and ground meat. The baked beans have huge chunks of meat in them. Finally, the peanut butter cookie is moist and delicious. They even have plain ole white bread to boot! The decor reminds me of some of the iconic BBQ places back in the Hill Country towns of Lockhart and Rockdale. This definitely took me home to Texas for an hour. Thanks! My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that the brisket was sliced a little thick.

We love Hill Country and the food is consistently good each visit. One caveat for this visit though, I remember the Mac and cheese being a lot better than what it was this particular evening. It was still good but maybe it wasn’t as good as I remembered. There was a hockey game in the city tonight and this was a good treat before game time. The restaurant had good seating and the bar area had plenty of seats left. Overall I really enjoy the food and would go back for sure!

I had a wonderful time dining on the outside terrace here on a warm early summer afternoon. The view of the Waldorf Astoria and people watching along with the great wine selections made for a very enjoyable experience. The service was perfect and the 3 hours I relaxed her melted away into a series of perfect moments. The Fried Chicken was amazing!!!

I've never been disappointed in this restaurant. Everything is always spot on perfect. My girlfriend said the chicken nuggets have now ruined her, as she will not be able to enjoy "normal" nuggets again. The risotto croquettes are tiny fried balls of truffled heaven.

An unforgettable meal! The steak was, without a doubt, one of the best I've ever had—perfectly cooked (medium rare), incredibly juicy, and packed with flavor. An absolute must-order. I can't wait to come back!

Was on our hit list as it received great reviews. Stopped by for a quick lunch. We had the tarte Alsaciennene, beef tartare, and steak frites. Great flavors with the steak and tarte. The tarte reminded me of a smaller and thinner version of the German flammkuchen. Looks like an extensive wine and cocktail list. Conveniently located on Pennsylvania avenue—the heart of DC.

Fantastic happy hour, highly recommend. The food was delicious and great quality. Chicken nuggets were fancy and so yummy as were the oysters and Gruyère cheese puffs. I would definitely come back.

Wow! I was extremely impressed with everything about this restaurant. The Chicken nuggets were the best I ever had, and the prime burger and fries was outstanding. Since the entrees were so spectacular we got desert which was well worth it. Vanilla Ice Cream with a special request of chocolate syrup. Also, the chocolate bar with hazel nut desert was recommended by our attendant and it was well worth it. Well done, Chefs! The staff went over and above the call of duty to make sure our meal was very pleasant. I wanted a 'root beer' and the waiter found a bottle of the best root beer I ever drank. The staff were so very friendly and easy going while being very helpful and attentive. The restaurant both outside and inside was clean and very nicely decorated with a great environment. This was definitely the most delicious food I've found while visiting Washington DC area along with the best dining environment and staff. Well done, Owner/managers. Highly recommended!

The food is very good. The chicken schnitzel was delicious. My daughter loved her spagetti bolognese. I was not a fan of the Faux Graux, but my daughter liked it which is surprising. Very good food.

Excellent service, good food! We ordered the vegetarian chili bubba and the 4-way chili Mac with Cincinnati chili. The onions tasted stale but other than that the food was pretty good! My friend who's from Cincinnati said it came pretty close to the original thing. They give a little sampler of chili if you're a new/returning customer. What really stood out to me was the service, the lady who served us was very nice to talk to and made us feel at home 😊 Would return again!

It has been 24 years since I was a regular at Hard Times. It was a nostalgic trip back in time as we had lunch here on vacation to Alexandria/DC. Interestingly, my favorite chili was the Cincinnati chili years ago, but the Terlingua chili hit the spot all these years later. How did I know? Because they let you taste a sample of their 4 chilis before making your decision. I had Terlingua chili over Cilantro rice, and my wife had Cincinnati chili over Cilantro rice. Service was amazing, food was delicious…this was a blast from the past. The restaurant was Established in 1980 and has a country, southern feel to it. This is a great place for a smaller group of 1-4 people!

Best chili you will ever have! I recommend the Texas chili, but you will be able to sample all 4 kinds and pick up to two options for your chili bowl. The cornbread is also delicious! Their chili is so good and filling, I always have some to take home after!

Lorna was a fantastic waitress. She kept our cups full, and she introduced us to what makes the hard times Cafe unique, the chili. This place is definitely a one of a kind dining experience. A dive bar atmosphere in a good way. Unique atmosphere and unique foods. A chili based menu. I wasn't planning on chili until Lorna brought us the chili sampler, and I tried the Cincinnati chili. The corn bread was fantastic as well, it was not gritty. The half rack of ribs was huge, thick, and juicy. The root beer was legit from the keg. The margaritas were delicious. Everyone at the table was full and had leftovers. Absolutely would eat there again, and I give them a strong recommendation, especially if you like chili or ribs.

This location seems to fit its name. I don’t mean that in a bad way, but in a way that’s a throwback to a simpler time. I’m a history nerd so I kinda like that. Anyway, this place specializes in chili. We’re talking bowls of chili, chili on spaghetti, noodles, chili burgers, chili hotdog, and chili on cornbread. They have different styles of chili, but the dish I went for were the three chili hamburger sliders. I chose the Cincinnati style chili. I would have liked to have had a bowl of chili and even on the spaghetti since that seems to be a signature dish, but I was in the mood for burgers and boy. Did they fill me up even though they were sliders. I really enjoyed this place. Great service!

Oh my goodness. If you like a quaint, local mom and pop shop than has old neighborhood charm, folks Hard Times Cafe is must visit destination! For sake of clarity, we visited on a Sunday afternoon, so the crowd was down, but believe me, during tge the week, Hard Times Cafe is hopping!

I like the Cincinnati chili mixed with the vegetarian. Really good mix! My friend likes the terlingua chili with cheddar and onions. His head was sweatin' I had a premixed marg and he had a beer. Love Hard Time's

Beautiful restaurant. Nice staff. Lovely ambiance. And while I appreciate fusions and personally love to indulge in a vast array of tastes and flavors, I unfortunately did not enjoy the flavors of my initial dish (fried chicken w/gochujang and blue cheese and ginger broccolini and the alcoholic drink that was their take on peach tea). I love these flavors separately but together they did not work well to me. Manager, Mikayla and the Guest Relations worker were both very accommodating and understanding which I truly appreciated because I am not fond of having to ask for a dish to be returned. I ended up getting the burger with bacon jam and the Waayy South drink and both items were Delicious!!! Another person in my party ordered the shrimp and grits and loved it as well!

Making reservations online was quick and easy. When we arrived, we were seated right away — even earlier than our scheduled time. The atmosphere had a nostalgic charm that I really enjoyed. While the menu had limited options and no pictures, I checked a few reviews beforehand and decided on the ribeye steak entrée, while the kids went with the cheeseburgers. The food did not disappoint! The ribeye was cooked perfectly and portioned generously — I had enough for two meals. The kids devoured their cheeseburgers completely. I left full, happy, and very satisfied with our dining experience.

Wow!!! Your taste buds are going to love this place. I wanted a quick small lunch and was pleasantly overwhelmed by the flavors. Great options for vegetarians. I had the deviled eggs, crispy Korean cauliflower, succotash and sweet bourbon pickled jalapeño. Great fusion of flavors!!!

Succotash is well-known for its delicious food, and it’s always busy—which makes getting a table feel like a treat in itself. On this visit, however, something unusual happened: the server originally assigned to our table disappeared, and somehow our order was lost in the process. We waited long enough to see the table next to us (who arrived later) finish their meal and leave, so we finally asked their server for help. Thankfully, that server kindly took over our table, brought out all of our food, and gave us excellent service for the rest of the meal. The food was, as always, very tasty, and the cocktails were especially good. Despite the rough start, the great service and delicious dishes made it a positive experience overall.

Succotash is an extraordinary example of blending two different cusines right. Atmospheric dim lighting alongside beautiful wooden architecture creates a cozy and comfortable dining experience. The service was fantastic, and I recommend the Taste the South set of dishes, which are very filling, delicious, and affordable at 29 dollars a person. Honestly, I probably would put this restaurant as one of the best in the National Harbor area! I'll definitely come back to here sometimes in the future. :D

This rating is more so based off the food. My wife and I tried the “Taste of the South” and was highly disappointed. I may have enjoyed 2 samples but my wife only liked the catfish. Nearly 95% of food wasn’t season well. I thought the chicken and waffle was okay but I’ve had much better fried chicken. Now on a positive note, the manager Alyssa was very welcoming! She honestly saved this rating from being 1-2 stars. Our waiter was okay, he was a Hispanic guy (can’t remember name) but he wasn’t over the top exceptional. Didn’t do anything bad, just felt like he was there doing to his job. This restaurant NEED better lighting! It’s super dark! We needed our phone light to see the menu. The vibe was upbeat with a very dim setting. The only light we had was candle light. It was terrible.

What a great brunch's spot. Love the vibes, gives old fashioned diner with modern twist. Their plates even look like paper plates, but they're ceramic. The service was fabulous. It took a little while to get hot coffee but that is my only negative. We ordered the blueberry lavender pancakes, sexy sandwich, and the loaded biscuits. The pancakes were delicious. My favorite savory option was the sexy sandwich, the sexy sauce is delicious. Will absolutely be back again!

Absolutely Delicious. What should you order: Anything! This place has delicious food across the whole menu. We ended up coming two day in a row as it was that tasty. The loaded breakfast biscuits were crazy flavorful. My wife loved the pancakes, which were top notch. The star of the show was the chocolate cake, which may be the best Chocolate cake I’ve ever eaten. Overall come here hungry and leave super happy!

Unconventional Diner really lived up to the hype. The food was amazing and the staff was super friendly and welcoming throughout the whole visit. I tried the chicken and waffles for the first time and I wouldn’t regret that choice one bit. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and tender, and the sauce tied everything together so well. What really elevated the dish was the butter, it had scallions in it and that extra touch made a big difference. Their fresh orange juice was the perfect drink to go with morning routine. Definitely one of those places you remember and want to come back to. Great food, great vibes, and great people.

This place has been saved as a place to go in Google Maps for years. I decided to go for my birthday brunch so I made a reservation which was a great idea because it was packed on Sunday. We were promptly seated at a table. It took a little while but a waiter came over to get our drinks while we waited on our last guest. The fruit punch was out of the world delicious! I ordered two before the food came. Which brings me to the next point. Due to it being busy a manager took our order and unfortunately for us there was some miscommunication and the order never went to the kitchen or was delivered to the wrong table? Either way we watched as food went to people that arrived after us. Our waiter came over to ask if we wanted dessert and that was when he realized we never received an order. The manager came back over to clear it up, told us our food would be out soon and took the drinks and side dishes off the bill which was a nice touch. Once we got the food it was delicious! I got pancakes (the best I’ve had in a VERY long time). My husband got the loaded breakfast biscuits which were AMAZING and my friend got the shrimp and grits which she liked. Their grits are amazing also. Over all I would go back !

It was a pleasant experience, the atmosphere was nice and welcoming. The host and waiters were super friendly, super nice. The restaurant was tidy and clean, unfortunately there was a dirty glass which they changed with a plastic cup, I'll give them 8/10 on that. Talking about the food: I ordered, ● Chiken & waffles: was below average, came really dry and flavorless, very sad. ● Greek Full dead salad with Salmon: was ok, the Salmon was a little over. ● French dip poutine: was good but really heavy. ● Cajun Srimp & Grits: was dilecious. ● Double cheese Burger & Frise: was ok, could be better. The fries are really good. ● Buttermilk pancakes: was to the dry side, but it was ok. The Srawbarry and Brownie cakes area really dilecious. Food quality was ok, survise was really good though. Thank you Carlos. Would I come back? Yes, I would.

Stop by for brunch after our 5K run. We ordered the Double cheese burger, salmon with bagels, Thai salad with falafel, and Loaded breakfast biscuits. Everything tasted good, but didn’t have the wow factor. The service was avg at best. Our waitress added an extra something which we didn’t ordered, she took it back. Also a 20% automatic service fee was added, which I feel that shouldn’t be the case. Well that’s just my opinion. Check out the pictures for your own opinion.

I found this gem when searching for the best brunch restaurants in DC before my visit. Everything on the menu sounds great, so it was hard to decide. We got the Lebanese Fried Rice with Falafel and the S"Eggs"y Sandwich - both were amazing! I almost didn’t get the fried rice because I was leaning toward breakfast food, but I’m glad I got it! The spices and the yogurt sauce with the veggies in the fried rice were delicious, bursting with flavor! The falafel was perfect - crisp on the outside with a soft and flavorful inside - SO good!! The ambiance is beautiful inside and outside. I highly recommend going for any meal - breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

We came here to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately the server was a bit rude and didn't really provide information until we asked her. Sadly we missed the prime rib because of this. I also had to ask her three times to bring me the kids menu and her food. The appetizers were delicious and the main dishes were excellent. Only problem is, there isn't a lot of chicken options. We understand this is a meat restaurant but sometimes there's people with needs that could be met to also welcome the poultry crowd. The atmosphere was loud and we couldn't even hear each other due to the music being so loud. We had a big party and we stayed until after the kitchen closed. We had closed our check and everything and we were being rushed to get out by the bussers. This place is pricey! We won't be coming back. Very limited parking lot. Street parking is hard to find.

Ordered two meat plate: brisket, pulled pork, mac and cheese with a side of mixed greens. Brisket was tender but pretty flavorless. Pulled pork was also tender with good flavor, not sure which of the sauces were mixed in but it had a slight tang that I didn’t mind. Mac and cheese was cheeeeesy and good texture on the noodles; not the mac where you go for a bite and it all mashes together… Side note: I think they should specify the side of mixed greens is a side SALAD not the collard/mustard mix I was thinking considering the cuisine lol Edit: came back a few days later and got a few happy hour items

We went here for lunch around 2:00 pm. We were the only ones there I guess because of the time. We were seated in the bar area , the place is clean and nicely decorated. Our waiter was ok, he looked like he really didn’t want to be there. Just left the menu for us and then asked if we wanted to order. We ordered Brisket burritos. The brisket was really good but it looked like they had rubbed oil or butter on the outside of the burritos, it was very greasy . I asked and he said no but i don’t think he was correct .

Excellent spot for BBQ in this area. Smiling and welcoming service and just great food all around. The mac and cheese were indulgent, striking a nice balance of creaminess and savory, without being heavy. I could eat a pound of it. Only 1 type of sausage available, but delicious, crunchy and deep in flavor. Perfect chicken. Light, juicy, tender. The cornbread muffins are a stroke of genius. The brisket has a wonderful peppery crust. The complementary sauces are interesting, albeit a bit too watery and sugary for my taste. But I know this is what the public wants. I am sold. I am definitely going to be a patron of this restaurant from now on. Recommended. P.s. Try the Cigar City Maduro (English Style Brown Ale). It is a perfect pairing with smoked meat.

Food was absolutely delicious! We weren't 100% sure who our waiter or waitress was as the bar tender came and got our drinks. A separate waiter came over to get it was well, but we told them we already placed our order. I wasn't sure if the bar tender came over because it looked like the waiter was talking with people they knew at a different table for an extended period of time. The bar tender ended up helping us the rest of the time we were there. Overall the bar tender jumping in was definitely a win. The only reason we thought something was off is when we were approached by the other waiter. We found it strange, but as we were taken care of, it was fine. This lead to the high service rating. As mentioned at the beginning, I loved the food. I had the brisket biscuits and gravy.

Texans, not in Texas, but good'ole brisket just like home. This one of the first times I have had something outside Texas that tasted like I was home. The brisket and chicken were delicious, and the sides were really good. The service was far above average with all the folks we interacted with seemingly happy that we chose their restaurant. The food was good, but the service was superior. Well done to you all.

One of favorite BBQ places in the DMV. Food is consistently good and they have a huge whiskey selection at reasonable prices. We were craving their brisket egg rolls today so they got smashed before I could take a photo. So good - especially with that dipping sauce. Today, we got the 2-meat combo with pulled pork and Texas sausage and the KC burnt ends. Yummmm.

The cucumber smash was amazing. We got the wings and tots which both were great. Wings were spicy but great. Everything tasted fresh even the ranch. I waited quite some time for my water to be refilled and we waited at least 20 mins just to order.

Great little fine on a weekend visit to DC. Video is great and staff was very nice. Great Saturday brunch. Background music was just the right volume and music selection was great.

This place was great. We made reservations and was well worth it as they were busy. The food was incredible and came out fast. The service was okay. The appetizer we ordered did not come out and we had to remind them when our meal came out. There was no sorry of offer to discount for this inconvenience and their mistake. Also they had shirts listed for sale that we really wanted and they had almost nothing in stock. They say that they never have any. Should just take it down if this is the case. Wish they had them.

This is the best burger in DC...heck it might be the best one ever had. Amazing taste, good beer list, and not crazy "DC priced". Cool atmosphere as well. When we come back to DC, we will be back to Present Company!

I had my 30th birthday party here last weekend and it was amazing, I loved working with Lauren (events coordinator) and Lane (bartender). Lauren made the planning process so easy, was very responsive to questions and accommodations, and thought of every detail. Her and Lane even helped me decorate the room! The food is also fantastic! I highly recommend Present Company for any kind of private event. The dalmation room upstairs (totally private with own bar and bathroom) was perfect.

We hosted a reception here for ~35 people in the private upstairs dalmatian room. We had our own bar and bartender, excellent food, restroom, separate entrance. Everything was perfect, reasonably priced, and required very little effort on our part thanks to the helpful staff (Lauren) coordinating with us before the party.

I hosted my son and daughter in law’s dress rehearsal dinner in the Dalmatian room. The food was delicious. Everything was perfect! Lauren was so easy to work with and made everything amazing!

I recommend the Nashville Hot Chicken, it’s halal and it was one of the best pieces of chicken. Sweet, spicy and crispy on the outside, hot and tender on the inside the perfect blend. The classic Soup and noodles were alright, get u full but nothing too special, reason why I gave 4 stars.

Bantam King’s chicken-based menu consists of ramen and fried chicken. While the ramen broth lacks the depth and richness of pork-based broth, the Shoyu ramen ($15 plus tax) is nonetheless hearty and filling. The gyoza (4 pieces for $6.75) comes in a mild chili sauce. The service is very efficient. The interior has the vibe of a diner.

Service can be a bit slow, but I think that could be a testament to their popularity. Even in off peak times, this place has happy diners. They have the crunchiest, most delicious fried chicken in the city, and the ramen slaps too. Don’t forget to try the gyoza too (it’s hard to go wrong with gyoza, but their sauce is pretty memorable).

The food was phenomenal. I saw this place on TikTok and decided to give it a go. The fried chicken was delicious and moist. The spicy miso ramen with extra toppings was also amazing. The place was really busy when we arrived we waited about 20min because other people said it was worth the wait. The staff was really friendly and had great customer service skills especially during peak hours dealing with tons of requests.

Food was delicious, with generous portions, great flavors, and excellent service. The dining space isn’t too large, so I imagine it can get busy. Most of the menu outside of the gyoza is halal or can be prepared halal (removing the wine spray for the ramen). The dark meat fried chicken plate was excellent! The rice with chicken drippings and butter was a nice touch! Overall, I would definitely come back!

Decided to try this after a work dinner. The bar has a great atmosphere for the bourbon scene. Quite a selection with a menu almost too big to review it all. The bartender was very knowledgeable and explained our options well. We asked for suggestions and he didn’t lead us astray. Seemed reasonably priced for the market and based on bottle prices. Worth a stop for sure!!! **didn’t try any food

We hosted a private whiskey tasting at barrel this past weekend to celebrate a birthday and it was a phenomenal experience. Matt was so easy to work with in planning a great experience from start to finish - securing a date, planning the slate of whiskeys to taste, bringing in some special bottles for us to sample and helping with private dinner in the basement to follow. The downstairs bar has a great vibe and is super private. Matt also is super knowledgeable and started the tasting with an overview on how whiskey is made, the difference between bourbon, rye, whiskey and scotch and reviewing the specific bottles we sampled. Great option for a small private party to celebrate a special occasion!

Went here for brunch. The food was so good! Got the honey butter chicken biscuit and that honey butter was delicious. Also did the brunch fried rice which was good and well seasoned. The bottomless deal is good where it is $28 per person and they leave a champagne bottle and juice at the table so you can make your own. Service was great as well as they were super attentive.

If you love bourbon, this is the place to go!! I only drink bourbon and there were so many choices and I finally got found a Little Book that I've been wanting to try, I was the first person to try the bottle. If I lived in DC. I would go there again. The bartender was amazing and made my visit an experience.

My husband loves whiskey so we had to try this place while in DC! He got the far east flight (Japanese whiskey) and really liked it! I had a very tiny sip of the hibiki harmony and liked how light and floral it was (mind you, I’m not a whiskey fan at all)! I got the ‘you CAN drink this kool aid’ and enjoyed it! It was very fruity-like!

Barrel is an awesome Capitol Hill spot! Huge whiskey selection, creative cocktails, and tasty Southern-style comfort food. Loved the fried chicken biscuit at brunch and the lively but laid-back vibe. Friendly staff and fair prices — definitely worth a visit.

We visited because we were looking for a good spot to get cocktails and whiskey. They did not disappoint. I don't know how many whiskeys they have officially, but they have enough of them that they had to list them in their "Bourbon Bible." We tried the Nachos, crab Rangoon, and the Barrell Burger and enjoyed all of them. The nachos were delicious with shredded pork on top. The cocktails were a highlight. I found several great whiskey pours at reasonable prices (understand it's never cheap to drink bourbon out), and my wife and daughter loved their cocktails they ordered. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is cool and rustic, and the whole vibe makes it a place worth trying. I hope to come back before our trip is over.

One of my favorite spots in DC. Food is always delicious, wine selection is great, and good happy hour specials. I love the outside seating options and indoors is cute, but it can get pretty loud inside when busy where it gets hard to hear or have a conversation. During the summer, the mosquitoes are awful (at least for me) even though they offer bug spray.

Came here with my sister after a day in D.C and the both of us really enjoyed our wine and meal! I got the Hugo spritz (the elderflower was an amazing touch) and we shared the black bean hummus and taquitos which were both very tasty! Also needless to mention the inside and outside are both very cute!

The trend with restaurants going to online ordering is somewhat alarming. If I wanted to serve myself, I would stay at home. I had a rather negative experience using the toast app to order my food. Nobody comes and checks on your table to see if your order was correct or right or if you need anything else There is a surcharge placed on your order. I am thinking some of that goes to toast. Just really hate it higher people provide service that’s why people go to a restaurant. Your atmosphere is great. Your cocktails are great and the food was really good. That said I got a takeout order ordered on toast and was entirely screwed upbecause there’s no way to say what you want included excluded and it doesn’t make any sense. I just wish that there was a person I could’ve placed my order with.

Had a birthday dinner here with 10 people and it was an excellent experience. The atmosphere was gorgeous, the tables were spacious enough to fit everyone, the ordering via QR code was perfect for big groups, and the service was fast and efficient. Their outdoor space was just as cute as their indoor space. Will definitely be back again.

Lulu’s Winegarden is a charming and inviting spot for a casual night out with friends. The outdoor seating is a huge plus, with heaters and cozy fire pits that make it comfortable year-round, and the overall vibe is warm and welcoming. The wine list offers plenty of great options, and the small plates are fresh and tasty (the hummus and flatbread were a highlight). Service was generally friendly and efficient, though it did get a little slower during the busiest part of the evening. Still, it’s a great place to relax, share good food, and enjoy an easygoing atmosphere. Would definitely return!

A+++ such a cutie local winegarden. The outdoor seating was really nice but it was too hot for us. Inside seating was nice as well. We had a private table, but majority of indoor seating is communal bench tables. The burgers & fries were really good. The cocktails we had (casa marg, lulus old fashioned, first bloom) were all super tasty as well. 100% will be back!

All around excellence. The food is just the right amount of spice to wake up the taste buds. Every dish was done right and oh so delicious. It reminds me of momofuku but without the insane price tag. The service is attentive without being overbearing. Just a very enjoyable experience. Will bring friends here.

My boyfriend made a reservation here so I could celebrate my birthday with my girlfriends, and it was wonderful! This was my second time visiting, and once again they did not disappoint. The food was just as good as I remembered, the atmosphere was great, and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings so flavorful, especially with fish sauce and lime if you enjoy that combination. The Ginger Chicken Soup Dumplings were also very tasty, packed with rich soy sauce flavor. The Sourdough Scallion Pancake was excellent, and the Lo Mein was just as delightful. The shrimp dumplings were such a hit with my girlfriends that we had to order a second round! Overall, it was the perfect place to celebrate and share good food with friends. I’ll definitely be back again!

The regular menu is incredible, but I just have to give a special shout out to the Saturday bake sale. The themes are always super fun, the spread is beautiful, and the food is DIVINE. There’s always a line, so get there right at opening if you really want something in particular. But the staff are always so cheerful and friendly even on their busiest mornings. This has become the best part of my weekend!

Overpriced small portioned foods with no flavor. Cambodian noodle was as bland as water. Curry was too sweet. Peking duck was gamey and dry, kimchi and other pickled vegetables were served with the Peking duck which were beyond disappointing. The kimchi was a disgrace to Koreans. Bathroom was also filthy. Will not return. The food only looks decent in pictures.

Shrimp fried rice, xiao long bao, and matcha tiramisu were excellent. Fried chicken and noodle soup could be improved. Servers were friendly and efficient.

Service was on point!! Such friendly staff. Maketto is definitely one of my favorite places to visit in DC. The sourdough scallion pancakes, fried chicken, mushroom and leek dumpling, wok fried rice noodles, and leek and mushroom bao continue to be menu highlights. I was surprised by how good the roasted pork-an add on to the wok fried noodles- were. Excellent. We weren’t as into the cauliflower but perhaps it was an off day for that dish. Will most certainly return.

I went for dinner. I got duck noodle soup and pork bao. For the pork bao, I’m not quite sure of the decision to make the pork meat flavorless and put the flavorful sauce on the side was the best move. The music was a little loud but other than that the ambience was fine, my waiter was polite and the drinks were honestly better than the food (personally a fan of the matcha latte). The duck noodle soup was better than the bao by a good mile. The dish was a combination of ramen, pho, and Chinese crispy duck. Interesting combination to make… All in all it’s not a bad place to take a younger date, but if you’re going for cuisine or ambience alone maybe choose another restaurant (there are other reviews on this site that the dim sum is better on average).

Mostly, I don’t give five star. This barbecue brisket is amazing. The sauce is always made for barbecue lovers. This is the best. The best I tell you come and visit you’re gonna be happy. Their service is amazing their fast you’re not gonna wait for long and you’re gonna enjoy it.

Our 1st time here today, 9-24-2025. It was 5 of us. 2 got pork chops, 2 got fish and 1 got beef ribs. When I tell you the food was delicious I mean it was gooood AND HOT! Whewww we came from NC to DC for business and looked for places to eat afterwards. Hands down the BEST food I’ve had in a long time! I also forgot to tell ya it’s enough food for 2 ppl on 1 plate!

I knew the food was about to be delicious when you hear old music soul music playing outside! I am from North Carolina and i think our soul food is top tier and Henry is in the running for being up there with NC! The chitterlings are 10 out of 10, good and cut up good and fine! The Mac and cheese was seasoned and yummy, no salt needed. The greens where the only thing i was not a fan of

Yesterday I was Starving and Needed some Soul Food 🥘. Henry’s Soul Cafe outside my neighborhood in Oxon Hill, MD did not Disappoint. I ordered the Baked Turkey Wings w/Gravy, Rice w/Gravy, Cabbage, and Cornbread. The Food was Delicious and they gave me a Good Amount of Food too, so it was a Missile For Sure. I will Definitely be back Very Soon!!!

This was my first time at this establishment so of course I was a little skeptical if I was really going to get some truly good soul food. I ordered the country style steak with mashed potatoes with gravy and greens also it came with the cornbread. My second order was the beef ribs Mac & cheese and greens even though I did ask for yams, but it’s OK. For dessert I got the sweet potato pie, which was amazing. I definitely will be returning for a slice of pie or even buy an entire pie. The food was good, I would’ve gave a five star but the beef ribs was very skimpy my first beef rib was very meaty. The second and 3rd had little to no meat on it was hidden with the first rib that was very disappointing. But I am definitely willing to try this establishment out again. Suggestion to go menus would be appreciated

Today was my first time here since I'm just visiting the National Harbor and staying at a nearby hotel. Anyways the inside and service was great! The lady at the counter that rung me up was very nice as well. My food was even better. I got chicken, Mac and yams and they gave me a cornbread muffin, and for dessert I got a slice of sweet potato pie. The sweet tea is REAL BREWED TEA and not that powder mess like many other places. The mambo sauce was so good too!! its been literally yrs since I had mambo sauce and glad its still good.

I am so embarrassed,I raved about this place to my family visiting from out of town.I realize it's been a few years since I've eaten from here but,this is ridiculous. The fish is freezer burnt, the yams are canned and the greens are mostly stems. I used to love eating from Henry's but, will no longer be a patron of this establishment.

Hitching Post is a great chill spot to have good food and catch a vibe. The restaurant is pretty inexpensive and it does offer a happy hour selection. The outdoor patio is beautiful during summer evenings. The restaurant also offers special dishes from Guyana.

My review is strictly on the wing dinner that I ordered today. I hate to do this but it did not meet my expectations at all. The chicken had a lot of feathers still in it. Even a big white piece... The chicken had a good fried batter but there was no flavor. The mac and cheese has no flavor ughhh and it's lacking cheese SMH. I'm not from the area so I ordered here strictly on some other reviews I saw. I just hate spending my money on food that does not meet my expectations. I will say that atmosphere looked very cute and quaint.

I often visit this restaurant for a quick drink and maybe some wings which are always on point. This day I decided to get the catfish, mac, & greens. The catfish tasted like it was dipped in baking soda. The mac if you like boxed mac & cheese this is for you. The only thing I ate were the greens as you can see below. I told the waitress that the fish was not right nor the mac. Her only thing to offer was to switch out the mac. I was not looking for a free meal just a good meal. I will not be back. However, the bartender is pretty nice and takes care of customers the waitress could use some pointers. This went in the trash and no I don't want a to go box.

I couldn’t recommend this place more!! the food was sooooo good- we got the seafood curry chicken wings fried pickles and a fried chicken sandwich with mac & cheese and all of it was incredible! What’s even more incredible is the staff and our waiter who were absolutely lovely! Also the margs and cosmos hit the spot! I will be back for sure!!

This place is a gem.This is our favorite spot for our monthly girls’ hangout! The food is always delicious—crispy spinach, neck bones & lima beans, and my personal favorite, the catfish. Alexia is amazing! She’s always so helpful and handles our group of 10+ with ease and a smile. Milano is hands down my favorite bartender—if you need a drink, he’ll make it just right every time. We've been coming here for over a year and look forward to it every month. Stop by, say hello to Milano, and grab a rum punch—you won’t be disappointed! P.S. My friends and I come to HP every month plus a lot of other times in the month. We have had everything on the menu and the food is always good 😋😋!! Alexia is our favorite waitress and Milano’s drinks are the best especially the one he does just for me!! So do like I do, come eat, drink relax and come back often!!

We had been at an event at the Lincoln cottage across the street and had been told to try the Hitching Post. It was wonderful. Milano, the manager, is gracious, friendly, and very attentive, as was our waitress, Aleksia. Be ready for a cholesterol spike, but the food is great—fried chicken, fried pickles, fried shrimp, and our absolute favorite, crispy spinach! And my wife reminds me the wine pours are generous. Amazing.

My partner and I came here for brunch and absolutely loved it. We ordered the chicken and waffles, steak and eggs, and tater tots, and everything was delicious. The chicken and waffles were our favorite. The portions were generous, the food was perfectly cooked, and the cocktails were just as impressive. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent. Our waiter gave great recommendations and made us feel right at home. Overall, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Highly recommend this spot for a relaxed and satisfying brunch.

The interiors of Anju are very warm and inviting. The staff is very friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. The actual dishes were average in terms of flavor. The dumplings were not very flavorful and didn’t taste very Korean. The fried broccolini also felt out of place — it lacked flavor and didn’t really fit the rest of the menu in my opinion. The tofu bibimbap also tasted under seasoned but it was not bad. The kimchi Jiggae was the best dish out of the ones we ordered - it had tender pieces of pork and tofu, but it could have been a little richer and spicier. I would also argue that free kimchi or banchan at a Korean restaurant is a must. I will applaud this place for its large portion sizes. Overall, I think this place gives you a lot of food for its price but I don’t think I would come back here for great Korean food!

I went here for dinner with a few friends after grabbing a very difficult reservation. We are late (8pm) and the place was packed and hopping. We split two appetizers and three mains between the three of us and it was more than enough food. We started out with the Chikin and Mandu. The Chikin consisted of MASSIVE wings that are delicious. Definitely try this starter! For mains , we got Korean “Jambalaya”, Ssam Board, and Yeomso Jjajangyeon (goat). Everything was really good and we were stuffed. If I went back, it would be hard to try new stuff and not just get these again! I love how this spot is nestled right in DuPont circle. Very close and very good. Check it out!

The dak manu was weird to be honest, I understand it’s fusion but personally didn’t think they paired particularly well together. The beef yukhoe was again definitely fusion - no raw egg, no Asian pear, random chia seeds, random lotus root chips, sweeter than traditional yukhoe … but it’s a pretty good starting point for those that have never had it before and it still tasted good, just not traditional Korean food. Which was fine, because that’s not what they’re claiming to be! Cocktails were awesome, bartender was really friendly.

Had a birthday dinner at Anju in DC. We had Panchan (set of three) Soy-brined Chayote, Sweet Lotus Root, Mul kimchi and Palace Ddukbokgi, Korean "Jambalaya", Broccolini Twigim and kids had Chikin. The food was very good but the vegan/vegetarian options are very limited. They had no juice for kids and they did not offer any sweet or a pastry as it was a birthday dinner. In terms of the place itself, they do have rubber grips but I found the stairs going up and a step down to get to the bathroom a bit slippery. A lady fell down in front of the bathroom right next to us. They did have a sign there to be careful but that was not that visible.

Scored a reservation the day of and were very happy we did. What we ordered: Apps: - Chikin was fantastic - Mandu was the star of the show. Absolutely delicious. Main: - Palace Ddukbokgi also amazing. Very traditional and hearty. Highly recommend. dessert: - Banoffee Pie for dessert. You could truly taste the black pepper. Drink: - Pineapple tumeric soda: basic. Could only taste the pineapple and not the tumeric. Wouldn't recommend. All-in-all: fantastic place. Would visit again.

Highly recommend and will be back! No wait to sit at the bar on a Saturday night without a reservation. Great service and delicious drinks and food, including vegetarian options. Had the Mandu, Yache Mandu, Palace Ddukbokgi, Chikin, and the Pat Brownie Sundae. The sundae was my least favorite but still good. I highly recommend the Palace Ddukbokgi! The bartender recommended it and I’m so glad I went with his suggestion. When I saw rice cake on the menu I immediately thought of hard rice cakes but this is not that. They’re soft and chewy (like a thick noodle log) with veggies (I added tofu) in a sweet sauce that is to die for!

I really liked the half chicken and the broccoli. The service is relatively quick given that they need to grill the chicken. The price is also good for the location. They have plenty of outdoor seating, which are great for groups. It's also close to metro stations and located near other dessert shops and bars.

Tried Chicken + Whiskey for the first time and had the Pollo Frito, a solid, flavorful chicken sandwich. Not sure if it was intentional, but when I cut it in half, the chicken and tomato slices formed a smiley face 😁 Nice little surprise! The food was tasty and fresh, and the service was fast and super friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

Amazing Peruvian restaurant in the Gas light neighborhood! I had the 1/4 chicken with yuca fries and plantains. What a great meal. To e chicken was falling off the bone. Both side were very tasty. Make sure to ask for the green sauce.

Loved this spot. The chicken was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, and the sauces were excellent — definitely the highlight. Didn’t have to wait long, and it’s a cool, fast casual vibe that still feels like a real meal. Rice was a little dry, but honestly, everything else more than made up for it. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

If you’re looking for a casual bite and are tired of the typical noodles scattered around 14th st definitely go to chicken and whiskey. The chicken is good and fresh. I got the broccoli and queso + Mac n cheese as a side with my chicken. They also had a dj on Saturday outside and serve so so cocktails out front.

Have had much better Las Brasas Peruvian chicken. This was on the over salted side but then it’s been 10 years since I’ve stayed out this late. It’s the type of place where 20 years go and in 10 years will say “what was the name of that place we used wear out that salty chicken after the clubs.” Broccoli is served cold. Black beans were under seasoned. Coleslaw was actually pretty good. Wanted the Mac and cheese but it had been sitting there awhile. I wouldn’t go back during the day as it just tends to be a much younger crowd so it’s from that perspective.

8/15/24: Second time I've been to this location and enjoyed it better than the first. Be advised, in the summer, they have the front door open and it can get a bit toasty. This time, it was a little less humid and we ate in the bar area. which is definitely air conditioned. It was "Y2K" night, they had a DJ, good music and the bartenders were awesome, food was great. The whole vibe was really a great way to end a work day. Don't know why, but I crave their yucca fries. Had the chicken tenders, they are not your average tenders. The panko crust was seasoned just right. The drink I tried was the "Lo Siento, No Lo Siento" and it didn't disappoint. The smokiness of the mezcal was apparent but then the watermelon and lemon hit. I have a thing for bathrooms. Clean, fun bathrooms. It was clean so that's always a good sign. They also have an outside seating area. You might have to drive around the block a couple of times for parking but then again, we got lucky both times and parked right across the street.

I stopped in for a quick dinner before a show at the 9:30 club. It was not busy at all on a Friday night at 7pm. Service was quick and attentive at the bar and the brisket sando hit the spot. Good selections on draft as well.

Service was on point! Server was always there to serve us another round of drinks. Water cups filled without asking. Food was great including the highly recommended half smoke with side of coleslaw and pickle. I’d go back just for that dish every time. Vibe is real cool inside. Very laid back and relaxed. We were there when it wasn’t too busy (Thursday afternoon) so may be an entirely different beast at night and on weekends.

AIE has always prided itself on being a dive bar in a solid location with reasonable prices. The first two still hold true — it’s an excellent spot with a great vibe. Unfortunately, the “reasonable prices” part no longer applies. Like many bars across DC, AIE has followed the trend of steadily increasing prices, even as large parts of the city (I.e fed workers) grapple with job losses and rising costs of living. With tax and a 20% service charge automatically added, you’re looking at $11-12 pints for pretty standard beer. It’s a shame

So glad I stumbled upon this little gem of a place. Not fancy, serves beer in jars, and has some killer brisket and pulled pork. This is a great place for work happy hour. Super casual, good food, cool vibe.

Meridian Pint had been one of the best destination craft beer bars and creative kitchens for American pub grub in DC when it was in its longtime Petworth location. Their nachos -- especially their pulled pork nachos -- were reason enough to go. Their friendly bartenders knew everything about their wide beer selection in two huge bar areas, including a downstairs that had seating perfect for gathering in groups for a game. Much like the circle of life -- this hip kid from Pentworth, grew up, moved to the burbs, and became completely boring. The chorizo nachos were dry and overpowered by either parmesan or a weird feta, no longer made with love. The burger of my neighbor at the cramped bar was more bread than burger. Gone were the beer experts of yore tending the bar, replaced by indifferent barstaff focusing more on each other in the cramped space. Still a great beer selection of about two dozen unique brews on draft brings this up to two stars. Not metro accessible but abundant parking for those with wheels; about a $10-20 Uber from the city for those without.

I used to love the one in DC because they had a killer brunch and excellent beer list. This new location in Arlington was not that busy even tho I stopped by around noon on a Saturday. No wait as there were plenty of open tables, I guess the locals haven't figured out what they are missing yet. The staff didn't seem to know the menu that well but they were friendly. They still have a solid beer list tho I think Dominion W&B restaurant still has the best one in NoVA. Anyways, the pecan encrusted bacon with caramel was pretty good with a solid bba stout (Big Baptista from Epic).

I went to Meridian Pint for a sunday early dinner meet up with my friend. We had the honey bourbon barbecue wings as a appetizer. To drink we each had something that suited us. I had a burbon, cider, cayenne pepper drink and the name escapes me currently but I didn't think it was going to be as spicy as it was. As my second drink I tried just the cider and that was great. After trying my friends pomegranate drink I absolutely would try it next time I come. So back to the wings they were amazing. the sauce was just the right amount of sweet and tangy and next time I will get those and their amazing fries as my entree. I tried the burger per suggestion. I made my own breakfast burger and it was good, not the best I've had but good. My friend had the burger that started with a b ( brusion burger maybe?) She raves about that burger so I can only assume it was amazing. I will try again but I'm pretty sure I have planned out my plates in advance.

Went out with my parents and little brother. We got our drinks took at least 20 minutes and were barely cold. We were near a waiter station and got hit with water. Took a long time to take our orders. I ordered the blue crab ravioli and while it tasted delicious, it just came with 4 raviolis. Thought maybe for $20 that I would get at least 6 and possibly 8 of them at most. That's a really big plate for just 4 raviolis. The bill had to be redone; 3 times. At least the manager took the 1st round of drinks off the bill. Won't be coming back here for awhile.

If you love beers and live in Columbia Heights, this is your place. 24 rotating beers, and probably the most delicious BBQ pork sandwich in CH, should be enough. Go, and don't forget to take a look downstairs. There is a pool table waiting for you.

Nice cozy neighborhood feel. Daily specials and Happy Hour offerings. Moonshine cocktails are good and strong. Great selection of sandwiches- we loved the steak sandwich and the Beyond Burger. Recommend the fries and tots as sides too.

Absolutely top notch. The lack of obvious curb appeal hides a great gem of a restaurant and bar with spacious indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly and professional staff. Delicious menu items. Nice selection of beer and liquor. Also a good waiting location if you have DCA business.

Service was amazing! Not a huge space, although I didn't go in the back so not sure what the outdoor space looks like. Huge beer and alcohol selection, which is nice. Also a pretty decent size food menu as well. Hot dog was delicious, and my loaded tots were good too. I'm not always a fan of beer cheese, but it was yummy. Would definitely go back and try a grilled cheese.

Unassuming storefront that hides a great beer garden. Perfect place to hang out with your family and friends. For its above average for this type of place.

Never overwhelming. Never underwhelming. Just whelming. Descriptions on menu don't line up with the listed beer. Had to go in a hunt down the beer I ordered, but rest of parties drinks came out no problem. The outside area out back is lovely if the wind isn't blowing from the direction of the dumpsters.

My team and I went to Hops N Shine recently for a Happy Hour. We sat in the back of the venue. They have cornhole and a couple of other games outside. Their staff did a great job recommending beer and food to my group. I tried this Strawberry Cider. I lie to not it was the best Cider I’ve ever had. Aside from the beer options, they have a very diverse grilled cheese menu that paired well with the beer & ciders. My group staffed there for about 2.5 hours. My group tried the pretzel and the tatters with beer cheese. The beer cheese was fantastic. I wish I had pictures but it was finish so fast. I highly recommend this spot.

The new manager of this establishment came up to our table while playing trivia on a Thursday night and accused someone at our table of “elbowing” one of their bartenders on purpose and were asked to leave, what was not mentioned was the gentleman who “elbowed” the bartender (which by any means is not what happened) was helping his wife who is recovering from a life threatening surgery into the restaurant, and if the bartender is unable to clearly see and get out of the way of someone with a physical accommodation they should be working elsewhere. We have been attending Hops and Shine every Thursday for almost 2 years and we will not be back after this event. It is very sad to see that a place that we visited every week and enjoyed, has such disrespectful staff.

We enjoyed our meal here but are not rushing to go back! The lamb hummus was a bit odd. The lamb was almost like beef jerky texture and very very salt and sweet-just a bit over powering. It’s a teeny place so you kinda feel like you are in the way the whole time. Great drink, including mocktail menu, and solid pizza!

I absolutely love this place! The stracciatella toast with nectarine is simply amazing, and the variety of spritz options is fantastic. The pizza is delicious, though the starters definitely take the spotlight. The service is warm and attentive, making the experience even better. The only downside is the hours, it's such a shame they close so early!

Delicious pizzas! We were a group of 3 and shared an app and 2 pizzas which was the perfect amount of food. We started with the whipped feta which was delicious. We shared 2 pizzas; classic cheese and halloumi. Both were really good and well made. Service was quick, but we did feel a bit rushed to finish our dishes and quickly clear plates at times. Nothing major but it didn’t seem busy enough where someone was waiting for a table. Outside of that we had a great experience.

for a small pizza it does seem like a lot of money. The taste is very good. I agree with another review that sometimes I don’t eat the entire crust, but I did on this pizza. Hopefully the slice tomorrow when reheated will also taste good

Martha Dear’s food *never* disappoints. My only qualm this time was that the tables were VERY close together. It was difficult to walk through and you’re basically having dinner with your neighbors.

We love Martha Dear! The food is excellent and the staff make it an outstanding experience. We came for an early dinner with our toddler. They were very accommodating and helped our family enjoy dinner at the pizza bar. The whipped feta is a consistent hit and the pizzas are always delicious.

The rest of her regiment kept the vibe strong — an army of hospitality that made us feel not as strangers, but as brethren at the table. Thus I declare before Providence and TikTok alike: if thou seekest a feast most noble and vibes most immaculate, Martha Dear is the move. No cap, only liberty.

Great food and great service! The process of placing an order from our phones was a little challenging but worth it. The food was amazing and fresh. They even have a kids menu. The staff was incredibly helpful.

Great Vietnamese restaurant - delicious and affordable food with portions larger than average. Convenient location, the line was short and moved quickly. The staff were polite and eager to help. The music was quiet, which was especially nice compared to other places we visited in the area.

Phenomenal chicken joint in downtown DC. I got a half chicken with fries and ranch with Mango and Lime spice and it was awesome. Juicy chicken and great fries at a reasonable price. They have the other sauces you can try on the side and the medium stuff was insanely good. Highly recommend this place! 8.0/10

I had the 1/4 chicken breast with a side, and since I can’t handle too much spice, the mango lime level was perfect. The chicken was cooked really well—tender and not at all chewy. My only tip: avoid sitting near the kitchen, because when they were frying with spices, the air made us cough quite a bit.

so bomb. i was debating on trying this or chipotle and i chose to try smth new today. O got fries, garlic bread, a side of their rance and the rainbow bowl with boneless chicken breast. 10/10. the flavors in my mouth are delicious and so appetizing as well as the mango limemade drink. Def coming back again. :) The employees are so nice too

Tried this spot after a recommendation from my Uber driver,glad I did! I had the catfish with grits, collard greens, and cornbread. The catfish was fresh, crispy and full of flavor, didn’t even need hot sauce. Grits tasted good but could’ve been creamier, wasn't a fan of the texture. The collard greens were on the sweet side, which caught me off guard but not bad! Cornbread was sweet like cake but a little dry. Also tried the Rum Punch,strong and tasty! Heads up: gratuity is automatically added to the bill.

Food is always top tier. They never disappoint. My go to spot for soul food. Their fried catfish is the best! I come here frequently. Pictured are different times I’ve been.

What a wonderful experience here! We received A+ service and hospitality the moment we walked in. Our server Carlton was excellent, professional and timely. He made sure we felt comfortable and not rushed even tho we were there towards the end of the night. I ordered the turkey wings with mashed potatoes and Mac& cheese. The food was full of flavor, tender and pipping hot! I’ll definitely be back next time I visit DC.

The food was actually really good. But the mac & cheese was dripping with oil. I tried to eat some and then pressed it down to drain it. It wasn’t working. When I told the waiter and asked her to replace it with yellow rice she said “let me ask my manager because you already ate it” I literally took a couple of bites. The manager came over and stood there and said “yeah, uhhh the mac & cheese?” I said yes, I already explained to the server the issue. If you don’t want to replace it, take it off my check. He walked away and made a loud sound effect after doing so. They were very unprofessional especially the manager with how they handled the situation. Mare what could’ve been a great experience a bad one.

Look here SOMEBODY…. MY God has not failed even on the TasteBuds of an Awesome Meal. The Cabbage is A Banger by itself, The Catfish I mean the Catfish is a must have. Rice and gravy with the veggies. I’m from Baltimore and wanted lunch and when I say they did not Disappoint me I mean that. The staff were welcoming and friendly thank you all. If your near Go grab you a plate can’t wait til they hit the 410 area.

Visited Oohh's and Aahh's earlier this week, and it was ummmm ummmm good!! The food was hot and made to order. I previously heard about the restaurant and was told that I should visit and I'm glad that I did!! The greens had a sweet but savory taste, which took me by surprise because I can be a bit picky about collard greens. I also ordered cabbage and blackened salmon. I thought that a glaze would come on it, but they brought me a side attraction teriyaki sauce and it was great. The salmon was cooked just how I like it. The service was also great as well. During my visit, a man who appeared to be unhoused was having a medical emergency and I appreciate the fact that they allowed him to sit there unbothered until the paramedics came. I felt that demonstrated their level of compassion- especially at a time when that quality has been hard to find at times. As for the atmosphere, it was fairly quiet during my visit and there were several tables available as well as seating at the bar. When asked if I would I go back? The answer is a resounding yes.

First off, let me say that I barely ever leave reviews for restaurants. My family was in washington over this past weekend for american university family weekend. Our family decided to eat at Oohhs & Aahh's. We were a party of 7. When we walked in we were seated immediately with no wait. Our server, ( i forget his name) he was fantastic. He was very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and any questions we had. The food was quite possibly the best I have every eaten. I ordered the short rib platter with collard greens and Mac n cheese. The short rib was so tender and flavorful. The collard greens were with out a doubt the best I have ever eaten. The Mac n cheese was very good as well. Everyone in our party absolutely loved their meals. Thank you for your service, Hospitality, amazing food and an absolutely perfect night. To anybody questioning if you want to go here, My advice to you is don't even think about it. GO. NOW. Without a doubt, the next time I find myself in d.c. I will not hesitate to go back in a heartbeat.

Please be careful when purchasing a sandwich coleslaw is packed on that the bread is very soggy. Nashville sandwich barbecue sauce is soaked on the bread . I live to far to bring back but I won’t visit this establishment again.

I've been to this restaurant before but I didn't realize how expensive they were. $19 plus for 3 tenders, fries, and a small drink with the food not being this good this time. I'm disappointed. My fries were greasy and they were mostly hard so I couldn't enjoy them. The tenders were small but still, ok. The skin of the chicken does not stay on so I just scrapped it off and enjoyed it with sauce. The staff was nice and patient.

My colleagues had been raving about the infamous Honey Butter sandwich at Roaming Rooster, so that had definitely built up the anticipation in my mind. Overall I would say that it tasted good - but my sandwich was much much oiler than the others made in the same order. As it was a chicken spot, I also tried the whole chicken wings; and unfortunately I found them to be massively over seasoned and I could barely finish one. The fries were also not so much to my liking. The majority of them were super short, and seemed more like the “ends” of the fries than a whole one. It could have been that it was an off day, or maybe something with my particular order. There was a long queue of people grabbing lunch - so clearly there’s something about this place that many many people love! So, don’t necessarily take my word for it… You could have a different experience!!

Hands down the best Chicken Sandwich place in DC. They have a wide variety of spice levels, ranging from not spicy at all to so spicy that you start tearing up. We got the Nashville Hot Chicken and Honey Butter Fried Chicken Sandwich. The chicken isn’t dry on the inside and had plenty of flavor. They also have a choice between two home made dipping sauces that were very flavorful. Also don’t forget to get their home made fries, fried to perfection.

The sandwich was amazing. Was in NE for a community event and finished around lunch time so wanted to stop here. Parking spaces available. We walked in with no line. I ordered the honey butter chicken sandwich medium, fries, and oreo shake. Another order was the wings and fries. Food took maybe 15 minutes. We found out one order of fries could've feed two of us. I would be open to trying the Buffalo and club. I think it's well worth the visit.

I went to Whitlows DC for Super Bowl Sunday and had a Blast. I’ve gone there at night where it’s packed and more of a party scene so being there in the early evening was a change of pace. My friends and I received the best service from Michelle and Maddie. The second floor was packed with tables and they handled the rapid flow of business very well. I was impressed by this cause most bartenders and servers can succumb to the “weeds” but they kept it moving and were very organized. We had Jell-O shots, Boozey peach iced tea on draft and apps. Sadly I did not get a photo of the smoked wings,chicken wrap and jumbo sized jalapeño poppers but they were excellent. Great place, great staff and great Vibe. See you Around…Cheers!!!!

Came by yesterday afternoon and had a pleasant experience. We sat on the rooftop and it had awesome views of U Street. Service was great and we enjoyed the cocktails. I saw some negative reviews about prices which threw me off—we paid $42 for 4 cocktails which is very reasonable for the area. Bathrooms are a little confusing if you’re sitting on the rooftop—they are down a stairwell and to the left (not the same stairs you took to get up to the rooftop—ask the bartender if you get confused). Can’t speak to this place on Friday/Saturday nights as it probably gets packed and rowdy, but a Sunday afternoon happy hour was very chill. Some street parking but not a ton. Should probably metro or uber.

If I was a local, this would be my local spot!! We chose this place because we were looking for somewhere to watch football and enjoy a couple drinks and good food. It was a great choice! Sad we were not there for the Commander's game! Absolutely give them a try if you're looking for football tailgating energy!

I went to Whitlow's DC with friends for Trivia Night, which is, apparently, the city-wide past time here. Along with very tasty drinks, the bar food is exactly as it should be - delicious.

Love this place. I attended a private rooftop event and we had a blast. The food is good. The drinks can be a little watered down, so I op for wine instead. The staff is friendly and quick.

Jamie the bartender and Michelle the GM are reasons 1 & 2 for you to make this your weekend hot spot! These two wonderful ladies made my experience here in DC a one to remember. Got to check out Whitlow’s! You won’t regret it:) Best drinks on U street.

Popped in before a show at The Atlantis and was warmly greeted by a nice young man who told us about the daily specials. Forgot his name so my apologies. We had already eaten but the food looked amazing. We sat at the bar and were immediately engaged with the bartender, Jamie, who had the best attitude of anyone we encountered in DC. Not only did she tell us about the myriad of craft beers they offer and provide excellent service but she saved us a nice chunk of change by providing parking suggestions while we were in the area. Often times a city can be cold and ruthless but there’s a ray of sunshine at Whitlow’s on U street.

Review for Glory Days My recent experience at Glory Days was beyond disappointing. Despite the restaurant being nowhere near full, we waited over an hour for a table. During that time, we watched as multiple groups of potential customers were either turned away or left after seeing how long the wait was. It was frustrating to see empty tables sitting unoccupied while people were being told they couldn’t be seated. This kind of poor management not only hurts the restaurant’s reputation but also has a direct impact on profits—turning away customers means losing revenue, and unhappy patrons are unlikely to return. When we were finally seated, things only got worse. We specifically asked to sit outside, but they sat us inside—even though there were many, many, many open tables outside. It felt like they didn’t care about accommodating basic requests, which added to the growing frustration. To make matters worse, they forgot to bring out my wings initially, and when they did arrive, they were undercooked. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I ended up getting sick later that night. To top it all off, they messed up our check at the end of the meal, adding yet another layer of frustration to an already terrible experience. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. It was clear that they hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time, which is unacceptable in any dining establishment. Cleanliness is a basic expectation, and when even the restrooms are neglected, it leaves a lasting negative impression. What’s even more disappointing is that my coworkers and I had planned to come here for a farewell event soon, but after this experience, that’s definitely not happening. We’re taking our business elsewhere. If Glory Days wants to stay in business and keep a loyal customer base, they need to address these issues immediately. Poor service, food safety concerns, and lack of cleanliness will drive away future customers and ultimately hurt the business. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Food was…. My table had - the hero burger 👎🏼 burger was bland but the bread was nice and soft. Boneless bbq (tangy) and honey old bay chicken 👍🏼. steak (no seasonings) 👎🏼 but the butter cake !! Was amazing- I will be back for more.

I ate here with my boyfriend today for lunch and we had a wonderful time! Malcom the general manager treated us well & surprised us with a rookie platter (a sample tray of some of their appetizers). We also ordered firecracker shrimp w the chili sauce, chicken tenders and fries platter, Glory burger & wings! The staff were really nice and friendly.

Great, all American food, as well as great service, and an excellent understanding of allergens. I have celiac, but was able to eat a safe gluten-free meal here. They even have separate fryers, so I could have their delicious fries! I also loved the Macho Nachos, which were practically a meal in themselves.

Went for a work dinner got sat at 5:45. They sat us in the private room which was amazing, it even had multiple tv’s inside which was a plus. Our server was fully intentive, he started us off with appetizers gave great recommendations. The Macho Nacho’s and Wings were great to start off with perfect quality and portion size aswell. He even went above and beyond to explain the drinks and differences. I will say the only thing that threw us off is we waited over a hour for our entree’s. We thought that our entrees would come 10 mins after receiving our apps something like that. However, It took about 45 mins, we weren’t in a rush but this is something that could’ve been a problem if we were expecting to be there for only a hour. We were there for 2.5 hours, even though we enjoyed it… just be aware that the kitchen can run slow at the start of a dinner shift. Overall, we were satisfied and would come back.

A friend a I were looking for a sports bar to check out the game, get some good food, and some good drinks, and we found Glory Days Grill in Alexandria. The service was great, the bartenders were very attentive and nice (we sat at the bar), the food was amazing! I had the Short Rib Grilled Cheese and the KO Shrimp, and man was it good, like really good!! The drinks were cool, just wish they had more selections. They have plenty of tv’s with the different games and such on, definitely a solid sports bar if you are looking.

I’m hoping some one would hear this, for the most part the food and price is great!! But.. since I come pretty often that only thing I could say that service was pretty slow last few times I came in and I waited and hour for wings!! And a salad Not busy at all did they fire the chef! I’m hoping next visit it won’t take as long. Management get it together.

If Chicago Dave at the bar hadn't helped me order digitally, I probably would have given up and left. The Asteroid Chicken Sandwich and Tots ($16.75) was very good. Close to the Metro.

There's no table service, so you order through the QR code on the table(if cell service isn't slow, due to being in the back). Or order at the bar. Had the chicken BLT, which was good. The beer selection is OK. Not what I expected. I would recommend trying for yourself.

Stopped in for lunch after visiting a nearby Smithsonian. The beer selection was solid, featuring a decent mix of regional breweries and national brands. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which was good overall. The chicken was juicy with a nice crunch, and it came with a mild (almost flavorless) slaw, a pickle, and a tasty sauce. It was served with tater tots. Nothing exceptional, but I was happy with it. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. After sitting at a table for about 10 minutes, we finally asked the bartender for a menu. Instead of helping, he just pointed up at a ceiling sign that we hadn’t noticed—especially since the more visible sign read "Seat Yourself." That ceiling sign explained we needed to order food and drinks at the counter. We placed our order and were given a buzzer with instructions to pick up our food when it went off. While waiting, it became clear the staff was more focused on chatting with friends and coworkers hanging out at the bar than on attending to customers. It didn’t feel very welcoming. In short: food was decent, beer selection was good, but the atmosphere and service left a poor impression. Not somewhere I’d go out of my way to return.

This restaurant is too modern for me. No host, no waiters, everything's on QR codes and self service minus the bar. There wasnt any explanation of anything other than a sign saying seat yourself so it was a figure it out moment. The QR codes arent connected to the drinks or bar so I had to first scan and order food which asked for a tip. Who am I tipping again its all self serve. Now im at the bar asking for a drink menu and its either read the TV ticker or scan another qr code. I got 6 people at the table were not trying to crowd the small bar and a taped down qr code doesn't get the menu to the other quests. So drinks were a pain so we skipped out and just had water, ice was not available but not major. If youre a business professional needing in and out i can see it being great, walk up to the bar, grab a seat order food eat and go. In DC it makes sense but as a group of 5 or 6 on the weekend it just made the place feel unwelcoming because had I not bought a drink at the bar I would not have spoken to any staff which is a wild thought. Like if you come in drink water and order food then leave the only interaction with this staff would be the 10 seconds the runner drops off the food. Guess that's the new age thing is to have as little human connection as possible? Just not the place for people wanting to connect with it or the staff. The food though was actually bomb and the kitchen knows what its doing. Since we didnt have servers or any interaction I assumed we bus our own table. Bartender appeared saying we didnt need to but was thankful. No issues with the staff, the little bit we interacted they were great. The food was great too but the overall experience left me more annoyed than anything.

Highly recommend Astro bar! Chicago Dave provided the best service. He was personable and attentive. Drinks were made exceptionally well. Liked how there was a bathroom upstairs and extra bathrooms downstairs - but every time I went it smelt like a fart/sewage downstairs. Hopefully mgmt can do something about that bc downstairs has great vibes!

Food was mediocre though the portions were generous. I feel like there was so much pepper in the chicken tenders though. Upstairs basically ignored me. Downstairs was a lot better service even though it was packed. Very loud, hard to have a group. I also was annoyed that they claimed no reservations at this location online, yet there were no fewer than 8 tables reserved.

We stopped in here for breakfast in December. We loved the vibe. They had super friendly staff. The hall was old and modern at the same time. Great menu. They had a to go menu or you could sit and it was a bigger dine in menu. We ordered the tator tots, cheddar biscuit, fried chicken honey breakfast sandwich, maple bacon donut and vanilla donut. Everything was awesome. Great flavors. The water was great with no after taste. The only thing negative about this place was the bathrooms did smell bad. I would go here again when I am up in DC next time.

So my friend found this place on Instagram and she booked a reservation. Thank goodness because they had a line at opening. We were seated quickly host was so sweet. We ordered and food started flowing however mines came out 30minutes before my friends. Food: Chicken &French Toast: Chicken breast was over fried and dry French toast good. Cinnamon bun : Good Fries: Good Friends order: Steak and eggs with a side of bacon. The steak was good potato’s were good eggs good. She said worth the wait. Bottomless Mimosas were great view pictures.

Honestly was not sure what to expect from a spot that had been so hyped on social media and had a free bottomless option for folks that come in early but we had an absolute ball of a time at Boundary Stone for our long weekend. Tried the honey hot seitan eggs benedict and honestly it was SO delicious, I have not had a vegetarian dish that feels like they’ve taken the time and effort into making something equally amazing for folks who don’t eat meat. French toast and chicken was also delicious and the cinnamon roll had a cream cheese glaze and was to die for. The bottomless drinks were in pint glasses and the service was impeccable, they kept coming around every five minutes to refill our drinks. Safe to say I had a much needed nap after brunch but it was a wonderful and really worth it experience. Definitely will be back!

When I talk about brunch with friends the first place out of my mouth is Boundary Stone! Their Fried Chicken Benny is incredible. Tender and Crispy Fried Chicken with perfectly cooked Eggs Benedict is always my go to. Then the Bottomless Drink options are all great, but my go to is their Bloody Mary. It's easily, hands down, the best Bloody Mary in DC. Its perfectly savory and has a bit of spice. Then also the staff is also incredible! They're pretty quick to make sure you're always topped up with your drink. Then they're all very friendly too. Honestly I'd go here every Saturday/Sunday if I could, because between the amazing food and drinks its also just great bang for your buck if you like doing a bottomless brunch.

Went here to catch the Phillies playoff game and it was a great time! Lots of great energy to the bar and it was nice to be around so many Philadelphia fans in DC. Crispy brussels sprouts and spicy chicken sandwich were both delicious and the people working service were fast and very friendly. Will definitely go back

Service and esthetic were cool but the food was terrible. I got wings, mozzarella sticks, and the oysters were shared with the table. The wings were cooked hard (over cooked) and the bbq sauce wasn’t all that great. The mozzarella sticks were bland not that great. The Oysters were really good that was the only thing I enjoyed. My friend had a burger he said it was the worst burger he had in a while and he wouldn’t ever come back sadly I feel the same way. Also what threw me for a loop was the $4 canned drinks and the mandatory tip. I paid $40 for wings and mozzarella sticks and a canned drink. I didn't finish my wings or sticks nor did I want a box because I did not enjoy my food. I'd guess this spot is more so for the drinks and not the food.

Only place to go for an Eagles or Phillies game in DC. Best cheesesteak in the city by a mile, and honestly better than many cheesesteaks in Philly. A bit pricey but I can’t recommend this place more.

The vibe was great! Our server seemed to be in a mood, but I didn't take it personally. I wish they had bigger tvs for the outside sitting area. The patrons seem to be regulars and they are definitely Eagles fans!! GO BIRDS! I enjoyed the game and rooting with the fans. Will return for another game and to check it out. Nice location

I think the server was having a bad day or had other personal things going on because they were pretty short and were not too helpful when we had questions. The establishment, however, probably had the best chicken tenders I've ever tasted with house made ranch, honey mustard, a Chipotle like sauce, BBQ, and a buffalo sauce. The drinks were pretty decent, but mines had too much ice. The atmosphere was fine and it did the job! I'll definitely be back to give the service another try but also to try out some of their other menu items.

An absolute gem. The welcoming nature coziness, and reasonable prices of a great neighborhood bar combined with a menu full of great cocktails - both solid classics as well as a number of unique creations with great flavors. The food was delicious and the staff was a blast.

Noisy but otherwise incredible. The cocktails are fantastic and well balanced. The fried chicken? Soooo good. Great sides and I'm not usually a Mac n cheese guy. Server took great care of us. Definitely will be back.

Top notch. Chic bar with just enough grunge to know I don't need to be dressed to the nines to sit down for a unique drink one can't find elsewhere. It's not just about nuanced flavors of ingredients like mushroom butter and acorn liquer that seem like they shouldn't go together, but do. It's about presentation and professionalism from highly skilled bartenders who proudly stated they'd worked there for years. A steady stream of regulars flowed in as night set showcasing not only the bar's persistent excellence, but neighborhood coziness. Have you heard of sotol? I hadn't, but it was delicious and smokey with spice added and served on a wooden plate with an herbal popsicle to cool it down. I don't know why the caged bird sings, but I enjoyed my Golden Pheasant, like a creamy, citrus tea, being served in a rustic bird cage. Everything was on point and we'll be back. Christine, you were amazing and your award clearly deserved.

After a work meeting, we decided to go to a bar and came across this spot. We were dressed up but the vibe and music was amazing. A truly “come as you are” experience. Now the drinks… baby 5-stars.

I LOVE THIS BAR! The martini’s are fantastic. The maitake tagliatelle, breathtaking. Christine recommended the pairing. What a gem. Would love to give her more than five stars but unfortunately Google has limited me to just these five.

Came here after a concert & got a couple of drinks (Hurricane & Rose All Day) and some food (10 piece chicken nuggets & crinkle fries). The drinks are a 10/10! Extensive drink menu with tons of creative options. They weren’t overly sweet, which I appreciated. The chicken nuggets were 10/10. Well seasoned and much bigger than I expected. The honey mustard was a little spicy too which was right up my alley. I love crinkle fries so those were amazing, not too salty and very fresh. The service was great. They were packed but we still received our drinks and food quickly. Parking is nearly non existent. This spot is on U Street so you gotta Uber, take the metro, or get parking in a garage somewhere

This place is one of the options you have for meals if you're visiting the Walter E. Convention Center. It was actually on my way to the parking garage, so I decided to try it. I wasn't too hungry, but the good reviews about the shakes persuaded my legs in the direction of its entrance. I quite like the decorations. The pink walls pop. The black and white tiles give a vintage vibe. The cement counters, neon logo, and subtle light balls all worked well together for me. The staff was friendly too. However, I'm afraid the shakes and sliders were mediocre. The sliders tasted okay, but it felt like I was served a microwavable one. The shake was too sweet for me. It's an average American shake. The reviews deceived me. I probably won't be back unless it's for happy hour drinks and to talk.

We were in DC for a quick trip and happened upon Ghostburger. I love the order set up. We walked in and placed our order for dine in and found a nice little table. The food was really delicious. My only complaint is that there was no actual cheese available-American and “whiz” maybe there was blue cheese, but I’m not a blue cheese kind of person. So both me and my daughter opted for no “cheese” on our meals. The food was delicious. It was fresh. It was fast. The milkshake was tasty. I highly recommend - especially if you like “whiz.”

The food was pretty good, though I wouldn't say you get your money's worth. I was also informed after paying cash that they don't give change back, not sure if this is always the case or just what I was told. Overall we spent $50 for two burgers that were, burgers, and fried pickles.

Wonderful and chill atmosphere, great service. Then the burgers are probably the best I've had in DC, thus far! They even nailed the crispy fries. Absolutely delicious meal.

Get a signature cocktail to sip on as you devour your ghost burger and one of their delectable sides. Top it off with a sweet treat like their ghost crispy treat. Dine inside or out while you enjoy the history of DC.

The happy hour here is no joke, folks. $8 cocktails and the burgers are only $12 to start. I got the one on focaccia and it was solid. A bit tough to eat cleanly but it was delicious. Even after HH the beers are a great price. Really easy to order on your phone at the tables as well and they just bring the food out to you.

Really solid burgers here. The smash style has that great crispy edge and juicy bite, and the Ghostburger itself is packed with flavor. Fries came out hot and crunchy, which I loved. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that it took a little longer than expected for the food to come out, and the space can feel a bit tight. Still, the quality of the burger and the fun flavor combos make this spot worth checking out.

We stopped here for dinner, happy hour time and wings were half price and wine was $2 off per glass. The food was tasty and fresh, the wine was cold and enjoyable. Do yourself a favour and google their happy hour times, you won't be disappointed.

We are visiting and looking for a true sports bar and after 2 other attempts, found Duffys!!! Packers bar and great food. Inside was packed, so the owner set up a TV outside! Best Reuben ever. Highly recommend.

Great little pub! We popped in for afternoon snacks and drinks, and they had soccer on inside and outside with a couple of outside tables with umbrellas. The Irish nachos and pork papusas were delicious and perfect for day drinks, the house amber ale and can lemon shandy were also hits. Order at the bar is the norm, but no issue when the brunette bartender is so helpful and friendly!

Want a chill beer and amazing staff, an amazing vibe, and amazing drinks? Come to Duffy's!!! My favorite person, Keisha, was incredibly too fun, and the drinks and shots were perfect. One thing I love most that most people do not think of is having a bartender that cares. Keisha was making sure that all the customers at the bar were not going over their limit. As an observant, that made me appreciate her service even more. I did not order food from there, though, so unfortunately, I do not have a rating for that.

I visited this pub on Monday night for food and drinks. Unfortunately, I was told that the kitchen was closed so I couldn’t provide a review on the food. The Irish gentleman that served us treated us like family! Our first drink was on the house. We had a few more after but he never charged us. When he asked the name on the tab, we advised we never opened a tab but could just pay with our card. He said no worries, I’ll see you all next time. We will be back on Thursday and tipping him heavily! He was awesome 🤩. Thank you for being so kind!!

First time trying this place after seeing several positive reviews on social media, and I had to check it out. The location is on a busy corner, and it’s strictly takeout with space for about 5-6 people to stand comfortably. In my opinion, adding 2-4 tables outside could boost their revenue by giving people a place to sit and eat. I ordered a 10-piece Honey Lemon Pepper wings, a side of fries, and two drinks, which totaled $30—a bit pricey for one person. However, the wings were fantastic! They had a great crunch, tasted fresh, and the flavor combination was on point. The fries were just okay; they could’ve used a little more seasoning, and probably would’ve been better if I could have eaten them hot. The only downside was the size of the wings—they were larger than I prefer, and I wasn’t given the option to request all flats. 9/10 for the wings. Overall, I’d rate this place an 8/10. The guy taking my order seemed to be working solo, so customer service was a bit lacking, but it wasn’t terrible. Thank you, KoChix Chicken, for the great wings—I highly recommend and will definitely be back!

I discovered this spot on TikTok before my trip to DC and knew I had to check it out—and it did not disappoint. The restaurant was easy to find, clean, and offered quick, decent service. The food was fresh and hot, and I tried the honey lemon pepper wings with fries, which were crispy and absolutely delicious. I’m already looking forward to returning to try other flavors. I’d definitely recommend this place and hope to visit again soon!

The food was worth the wait (and there will be a wait!!). I’m used to dinky wings but these were real sized pieces of chicken!! Flavors were great. Best to order ahead and pick up, versus ordering there (you’ll just be waiting a bit). No tables - just standing area. But again, food was excellent!

The food is amazing. The wait kinda sucked but it was worth it. The wings were crispy and flavorful. Must get. The cheese corn nuggets were delicious. If you're a lover of kon-chijeu, it's a must get. The mandu were okay, I'd probably skip those next time and try something else.

I order the lemon pepper every time. Saucy and quite literally drenched with flavor. I love KFC (korean fried chicken) and this is the best in the county. If I want candied chicken meat- this is where I go. The wing skin is like biting into a lollipop then your teeth sink into the flesh and the chicken taste bursts into your mouth . Phenomenal . Super kind staff- they get me. Super special treat.
