Happiness Beach Bar in El Nido offers a cool and inviting atmosphere with a delicious Israeli-Mediterranean menu. The restaurant provides a variety of food choices for vegetarians and vegans, using fresh local ingredients in their dishes. With its Asian-rustic vibe, sleek bamboo furnishings, and fairy lights, the small and cozy restaurant creates an inviting ambiance.
Stayed here for 4 days! Location is superb, close to everything. The room is clean and have a comfortable bed too. The service here is top notch! Staff is very friendly and they definitely make you feel welcome! Kudos to Mariel and James and Gian and Nicole and the other staff for their service. LOVE THE PIÑACOLADA!

We had brunch at the Happiness Cafe and the food was great. Highly recommend the falafels (we ordered 3 plates of it!) and the pannacota dessert. The chicken shawarma is very flavourful too. Service was fast and friendly staff. The view isn't perfect as not directly overlooking the beach, but the food and vibes (with free games to play) more than make up for it! Highly recommend :)

We moved out lunch here- the falafel and humus plate and the fatoush salad were so fresh and delicious. We had two fresh juices and loved them too. Beautiful decor, super friendly staff & swings at the bar. Super fun!

Happiness Hostel is an excellent choice if you are a solo traveler or a group of friends aged 18-45 looking for a clean, social, and well-located base to explore El Nido. This place truly lives up to its name! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel so welcome. Its strengths in atmosphere, location, and service far outweigh its minor drawbacks for the right traveler.
Pablo R — Google review
Great spot for dinner. Live music makes for chilled atmosphere whilst you eat the delicious food. Service was speedy, efficient and friendly, especially Rowena who made sure we had everything we needed. Most importantly the food was fresh and delicious!

5stars+ on several levels if you ask me. First of all the staff is amazing and a special “thank you for everything” goes to Gian. He is super kind, funny, makes you feel at home and makes the best cocktails. Tell him what you like and he’ll make you a perfect matching drink. We loved talking to him while having a drink and swinging (yes the bar chairs are swings, like it deserves a star as well). Secondly, we tried several dishes from breakfast to dinner and it was overal my favorite restaurant and bar in El Nido. My recommendation? Try the super banana shake and swing away. Miss this place so much and wish the staff all the best, you guys are so kind and caring. Thank you.

Really really nice here! The price for the value is very good (we compared prices before going there). Be aware of the 5% charge for service which is automatically included. We are coming there already third time and everything tastes just delicious! Thank you guys! Update: Sadly I realised already two times that the prices on the menu and the prices on the bill differ sometimes and workers seem to know it! Therefore check your bill every time!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a chill and happy place! With Nicole vibe at Happiness Beach Bar is perfect — great music, friendly staff, and an amazing sunset view. The drinks are fresh and delicious, and everyone makes you feel like part of the family. Definitely one of the best spots to relax by the beach!

Italian restaurant
Trattoria Altrove is a popular dining spot in El Nido, known for serving some of the best wood oven pizza in the Philippines. The restaurant, located on Calle Hama, is often packed with guests eager to savor their delicious Italian fare. With a cozy and bustling atmosphere, it's recommended to arrive early or be prepared for a wait. Despite occasional power supply issues turning meals into candlelit dinners, the quality of their pizza and pasta remains consistently good.
Amazing service and best lasagna I’ve had in a long time!! Even better than some I’ve had in italy. The place was super clean, gorgeous ocean view and the staff were amazing. I cant recommend this place enough!
Alicia R — Google review
Everything we ordered here was so delicious! We tried the Panchetta con Tartufo and Quattro Formaggi pizzas, recommended by the staff, and they did not disappoint. The salad and drinks we ordered were also really good. While the food took some time to be served, it was definitely worth the wait. We were seated around 5:20pm, and the restaurant began to fill up around 6:00pm. Staff were pretty friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a great dining experience with a nice view.
Rachel Y — Google review
We celebrated my wife’s birthday at Trattoria Altrove, El Nido, Palawan, and it was truly a memorable experience. The ambiance was warm and cozy, with a relaxing beachfront view that made the evening extra special. The rustic design and soft lighting created the perfect setting for a romantic dinner. The food was excellent, their pizza and pasta were authentic, flavorful, and served fresh. Portions were generous, and the quality exceeded our expectations. Despite the busy night, the service was smooth and efficient. The staff were attentive, accommodating, and added to the overall positive experience. Celebrating such a special occasion here made it unforgettable. If you’re visiting El Nido and want a place with delicious Italian food, great service, and a beautiful atmosphere, Trattoria Altrove is a must-visit. Highly recommended for special occasions, couples, families, and friends.

Went there on Nov 29, 2024. Food quality : Solid 5 star food quality. Nothing to really pick a fault on. (unlike that garbage Italian Pizza house "toto e Peppino in Alona, Bohol) Service : Pretty fast and good as well. However, I asked for some house water and it was not served. Cant even give some water? That is questionable.. Also the table mat, mine had a hole. They shouldnt use it. Lastly, they accept only cash that means, the owner will do a huge tax evation which i also understand.. Overally, great food.
L H — Google review
Really like the pizza here we had the 4 cheese and we customised one with pepperoni, ham and garlic. Don’t forget to try the chilli oil
Kealan W — Google review
The mystery of the crowd was solved once we tasted their wood-fired pizzas—absolutely amazing! The cozy and inviting dining room only added to the experience, complemented by the nice staff. Highly recommend giving it a try! We opted for the carbonara and Mediterranean pizza, which were so fulfilling that we struggled to finish our halves. But they were simply too delicious to leave behind!
Pam M — Google review
Next to our Joyful Guesthouse, which came highly recommended. Noticing that most of their customers were foreigners, we decided to try it on our third night in El Nido. Our group of 15 found it easily accessible. I ordered pizza margherita and pasta gamberi e olio d'oliva. The pasta was decent, though a bit pricey. The pizza was also okay, but it will be better if you put salt, pepper, and pepper/spicy oil. Thank you.
RP A — Google review
A little too expensive, well probably because of the logistics, but of course it's pugon-baked. The food is great and the view especially if you're seated right at the entrace. It's also situated almost at the center so it's easy to find and accessible. The thing is, the road outside is filled with puddles of water especially after a rain. But while the food is great, nothing really special, just one of the best you can find in the area. Service is ok and of course this being pugon-baked, be ready to wait for at about half an hour on off peak hours. We had an early dinner so the sun was still up but they were playing house music while children were playing. The music just doesn't vibe. And yes, as of this writing, El Nido still haven't fixed the drinking water problem.

El Nido Boutique Artcafe is a multifaceted establishment that offers tour bookings, a handicrafts store, and an open-air cafe with all-day dining. While El Nido may not be known for its food scene, the area boasts several noteworthy dining options. Midtown Bakery is renowned for its delectable donuts, while Altrove serves up delicious wood oven pizza.
The live musicians were very talented! And the ambiance on the terrace overlooking the street was ideal. Even during the rain 🌧 I truly enjoyed my time here. Plus free wifi!

If you are in El Nido, Artcafe is a must visit! It is one of the oldest restaurant in El Nido. Service is superb with a good selection of food and drinks. I tried their craft and draft beer (which are both great). The vibe is very chill, too! There is live music sometimes. But the most important of all, the place is a feast for the eyes since you would see paintings and murals everywhere. Highly recommended!
Macon R — Google review
Service and deco is wonderful but the food left a lot to be desired. I orderd the Seafood salad, it came drenched in salad dressing it was very soggy and lacked the crunch you expect form a fresh salad. The sea food consisted of two shrimp stewed with tiny bits of chopped up squid and unidentifiable fish plus 4 small clams.. the whole thing was very 'wet' and not very satisfying especially considering this is a " main course" . My husband ordered the Lasagne he found tasteless and it seemed to have been heated from frozen. We had spring rolls as a starter and they were just OK. Overall the food fell below our expectations. The best thing I had that night was my beer which was ice cold and the lovey live music. Edit: we woke up with a sore throat and stomach the next morning

We came here everyday during our stay in El Nido. Not only was the food amazing but the service was great! We booked our private speedboat island hopping tours with them for two days. JoEl made tour a super enjoyable and showed us all the great hidden gems! Definitely recommend him to be your guide!! Such a great and funny dude!

A quirky and vibrant place , nicely tucked away in the town of El Nido.... Good afternoon everyone , I hope your well , so I've been coming to this place quite regularly over my time in El Nido and the main feature for me is that , it's nicely tucked away from the main town. It has a small bar on the beach , a cool shop and then it's bigger brother opposite , which has a very vibrant and welcoming feeling to it. The food and drinks are decent and while I feel the price is quite expensive , for the views and cool decor , with a nice ambient blend of chilled music in the background , it makes it worth it. They also sell there own home made soaps , jams , cutlery and a few other items that are definitely worth investing in. It's deffo a great place for solo , couples and families , who want to unwind , have some decent food , invest in some quality home made products and enjoy the beautiful views of the beach. Have a beautiful day , God Bless 🙏♥️✝️

Nice lunch with stunning view. Located in front of Elnido beach. Helpful yet patient staff, since i need extra time to order variety of menu. I order rice corned beef and chicken wing. They satisfied my taste buds. Unfortunately, i didnt have a chance to try the night ambience.

Oh wow. What a wonderful experience I’ve had at the Art Cafe El Nido tonight. I ventured out of my villa late in the afternoon, feeling pretty hungry. I soon came across this tranquil and divine cafe/restaurant bar and enjoyed a fresh seafood salad, fries and the most amazing vegetable spring rolls with a home made sweet chilli sauce. It was absolutely delicious and made to perfection. The lovely staff couldn’t do enough for me, all without the hovering and eagle-eye that you get in some places. The big, breezy balcony upstairs was so relaxing, perfect spot to start out with a chilled Aperol or two. Thank you so much. I’ll be back.

As a 34-year-old German who loves food and a good atmosphere, I was absolutely thrilled by this restaurant in El Nido! The combination of fresh **organic food**, live music, and creative drinks won me over completely. The food was not only delicious but also high-quality—you can tell they prioritize sustainable ingredients. Add to that the relaxed vibe with live music, and you’ve got the perfect way to unwind in the evening. The drinks were also fantastic—freshly made and full of flavor. Verdict: Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates good food, great music, and a unique ambiance. I’ll definitely be back! 🌿🎶🍹

Kinabuchs Grill and Bar is a popular dining spot in Puerto Princesa, known for its vibrant atmosphere and delicious food. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including sinigang na ulo ng isda, grilled blue marlin, bicol express, and sizzling mixed misono. It's advisable to make reservations in advance due to the high number of diners. The establishment provides a welcoming environment for Muslim travelers and aims to cater to their specific needs.
I love this restaurant and I have dined here most nights whilst staying in Puerto Princesa. Every different meal has been delicious. The lovely staff have accommodated my gluten free diet and passed the request to the chefs. My favourite dish is the goat’s meat stew. Thank you Kinabuchs!

The Crispy Pata was great. The menu claimed it was not greasy, and they were absolutely correct. The chop suey was very light and the vegetables seemed very fresh. A nice balance of flavor. The best Chop Suey my partner has had. The garlic rice was "nice and garlicky". The Halo-Halo was the best that we've ever had (coming from a Filipina who has had halo-halo since she was a kid). Seriously try this!
Michael J — Google review
Cozy affordable place for tourist in Puerto Princesa. The place is huge and they have 3 bar counters in total to make the service fast and convenient for their customers. They offer a wide variety of local cuisines and alcohol selections. The price is reasonable and worth it. A prime location within the city. They have a lot of staff to make it easier for the customers to order, guards for protection and sometimes police officers within the vicinity. Nice place to visit and chill in Puerto.

I remember coming here for the first time in 2011 and it was amazing and I absolutely loved it. Came back today and it never disappoints. Food was very very good - I’ll highlight the cashew fried rice as it was unique and I highly recommend it. Staff were friendly and very efficient. Place had nice ambiance, highly recommended if you’re looking for a good Filipino restaurant in Puerto Princesa.

our korean friends enjoyed their food, esp the sinigang! the mango shake was a bit sour for our liking, but it was ok. the fried tofu was underwhelming, but everything else was great. :) loved how chill it was—the ambiance, music, and overall vibe of the place. it's an open area, so it could be quite hot. the servers were nice enough to offer a table in front of the fan. thank you!
Chelsea V — Google review
Absolutely loved this place! The best pork I've ever had! The servers are very friendly and polite, too. I'll come back next time I visit Palawan.

The place is quite huge yet cozy. The food were all affordable. Ideal for tourist that loves to try the filipino cuisines.

This is a great dining spot with a nice atmosphere. The service is great, the menu is expansive and has a mix of different dishes and cocktails to choose from. The servings are very large but each bite was delicious. The spring rolls especially were very delicious and their frozen margaritas are very fun as they come as towers.

Bella Vita El Nido is an Italian beachfront resto-bar located on the stunning Corong Corong Beach in Palawan. The restaurant offers a picturesque setting to enjoy authentic Italian pasta and pizza dishes while soaking in the warm sea breeze and breathtaking sunset views.
Beautiful little place right on the water. Can watch sunset while eating. Food was delicious. We got a meat lover and a white pizza (Bianca). So good, really hit the spot. Staff were really friendly. Will definitely be back before we leave.
Pooh8599 — Google review
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolutely incredible! Bella Vita has the best truffle pizza I’ve ever had in my life – no exaggeration. I’ve been in El Nido for only three days and already had lunch here twice… and I’m definitely coming back again before I leave. The place has a simple yet super cozy vibe, and the staff is warm, welcoming, and friendly. So far, it’s the best food experience I’ve had in El Nido – everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. If you’re a pizza lover (or even if you’re not), this is a must-visit. Can’t recommend it enough!
MAIKO B — Google review
Beautiful beach front restaurant with delicious New York style pizza (more toppings but still thincrust). The service was top-notch, super friendly and attentive. My only complaint would be that their Mediterranean salad had horribly bitter tasting olives - maybe substitute these for capers or feta cheese. If you're missing European / Western cuisine then you should definitely give this place a visit!
Connor H — Google review
We went to Bella Vita’s happy hour and returned the next day because food looked so delicious, which it was. We had chicken Caesar salad, truffle pasta & a creamy pizza which were all amazing - we had to take the pizza as leftovers. Our waiter was Christian, very nice guy who looked after us well. I think there’s only two or three tables where you can see the sunset unimpeded by trees so get there early for sunset, or take a drink and enjoy. A beautiful view.
Rosie F — Google review
The best pizza I had in my life, a restaurant with a great beach view where to chill and enjoy a nice conversation without being disturbed by loud music. Generous portions and affordable prices for an insanely good quality, love it! Keep it up

Great beach dinner, just in front of the water and sunset. Very good pasta - nothing special, but well cooked and tasty! - and properly made pizza, giving an authentic Italian dinner experience in Corong!
Federico V — Google review
Bella Vita El Nido – A Slice of Heaven by the Sea During our two-week stay in El Nido, Bella Vita quickly became our favorite spot—so much so that we returned several times and cherished every visit. On our first night, we ordered the Burrata Lover’s Pizza and the authentic Carbonara—and what a welcome meal it was. The carbonara was unforgettable: silky, rich, and perfectly balanced, with crispy guanciale that tasted like slivers of heaven. It was indulgent without being overwhelming—each bite just made us want more. The pizza, topped with a whole, glorious burrata, had the best crust we’ve ever had. That crust was so good we wiped the carbonara sauce off the plate with it—there wasn’t a single crumb left behind. We returned for lunch a few days later and had the Vegetariana Pizza and Caesar Salad. The pizza again delivered—generous toppings of peppers, olives, onions, and more on that signature crust. The Caesar Salad was a bit less impressive: the bacon was chunkier than expected, and the chicken might have been better cut into smaller pieces or shredded. The dressing also lacked that anchovy punch of a classic Caesar. Still, the seaside view and the ever-warm staff more than made up for it—it was a lovely, relaxed lunch overall. A few days later, we came back for dinner—and this visit was unforgettable. My partner is notoriously hard to please, but Bella Vita passed the test. We ordered the Burratina Pizza (yes, we really love burrata!) and the Gorgonzola Gnocchi. I did a little happy dance in my chair after the first bite of gnocchi. It was that good. Perfectly cooked—not mushy, with just the right bite—and coated in a sauce so divine I nearly cried. It was rich, creamy, and balanced in a way that felt masterful. I wanted to lick the plate clean, but the place was full of diners, so I did the next best thing: I ordered the Focaccia just to sop up every last drop. That dish alone is reason enough to return. We also tried the Chef’s Special Pizza and the Bruschetta on another evening, both of which were excellent. The Amaretto Sour stood out from the cocktail menu—well balanced and delicious—but the overall drink selection could be a bit more creative. Still, it’s a minor note in an otherwise outstanding experience. And then—there was dessert. My partner, who had sworn off chocolate for a few days, suddenly spotted a Chocolate Fondant being served at the next table. One look at his puppy-eyed expression and I caved. When it arrived, he nearly forgot to share. I couldn’t even be mad—the cake was that good. With its molten center, rich decadent texture, and just the right level of sweetness, it was heavenly. Paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it was impossible to resist. We tried to split it evenly, but I’m fairly certain he got 15% more than I did. And truly, what sets Bella Vita apart—beyond the food and those stunning El Nido sunsets—is the genuine warmth of the staff. Every visit felt like coming home. Their hospitality is effortless, sincere, and absolutely memorable. Bella Vita is now firmly my go-to spot in El Nido. Amazing food, breathtaking views, and a team that makes you feel like family. Don’t miss this gem.
Mary P — Google review
This has to be one of my favorite restaurants in El Nido. Their pizza is absolutely amazing! crispy crust, flavorful toppings, and baked just right. 🍕 We also tried their pasta (carbonara and amatriciana), and both were so satisfying and full of flavor. 🍝 The vibe of the place makes it even better, perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring the islands. Highly recommend if you’re visiting El Nido!

Republica Sunset Bar is a charming and intimate resto-bar that offers stunning panoramic sunset views over Bacuit Bay in El Nido. Located just four kilometers from the town proper, this bar is the perfect spot to unwind with a cold drink while enjoying unobstructed sunset vistas. The menu features traditional Spanish tapas and paellas, including delicious dishes like omelet, patatas bravas, and tomato salted bread.
Great authentic bar serving hot and cold tapas which is prepared in front of you. Amazing sunset view looking out across the small islands. Friendly and accommodating. Great chilled music playing in the back ground. It's been our go to.

My new favourite sunset spot in El Nido, I stumbled across this place on my way back from Las Cabañas beach. It's a nice little bar just off the main road. It was a picture-perfect west facing, 180-degree uninterrupted view over the bay. Staff were friendly, the drinks were good, and the music was a great vibe. I didn't eat but the menu looked good and there is happy hour 5-7.
Jessica H — Google review
Great bar to stop off for sunset cocktails. An unimpeded view to the west in an elevated wooden bar. It's got a charm and character about it. The staff are good, the cocktails are decent, but the most memorable part is that stunning view. We didn't have any food though, but it looked like a Spanish tapas menu on offer. Happy hour also lasts through sunset between 5-7pm.
Carlito — Google review
Great place to watch sunset and eat. The sangria was on point.
Rich M — Google review
This was, without exaggeration, one of the worst meals I have ever had. The tapas were a complete disaster — the meatballs were so bad they were impossible to eat. The prices are high for what you get, especially compared to the local cost of living. The Wi-Fi was useless, and the final straw: we found two dead cockroaches inside the napkin holder. We even recorded a video as proof. I strongly advise avoiding this place at all costs.
Sara S — Google review
Great beach side bar with perfect view for sunset. Reasonably priced drinks and great service. Perfect ambiance with nice beach house music playing in the background and cozy yet unpretentious atmosphere. My kind of place!

Get there 1 hour before sunset to get your front row seats! I think my wife and myself may have been the oldest there, but it was a nice atmosphere, the service good and the food reasonable.

If you're a foodie looking for an adventure without breaking the bank, consider exploring the diverse array of Asian restaurants in Los Angeles. From Thai spots like Bua Siam to Vietnamese options at KP's Vietnamese-American Deli, there's something for every palate. For those craving Nepali cuisine, Katmandu Kitchen in West LA offers unique dishes like yak and spinach lamb. Meanwhile, American eateries like The Stand and The Counter specialize in classic comfort foods.
Great food! Everything we had was good and plated well. Satay was flavorful, tom yum perfectly spicy, fried rice was seasoned well! Mango sticky rice was also very good. Staff are trained well, accommodating, friendly, and polite. Plus the view of the beach is amazing (we ate at the balcony.)
Trish S — Google review
Good vibes but not enough to justify its unreasonable price range, small serving, and quite frankly bland, poor excuse to call it Thai food. The red curry was spicy, quite watery but sorely lacked flavor. Tom yum was sour although lacking the authentic galanggal flavor- hence becoming much closer to sinigang than actual Tom yum. Thai milk tea was, you guessed it, bland as well. Sorry, please do better.

Perfect dinner in El Nido. The food is just great Thai food, as we experienced in the most authentic places while in Thailand. Short waiting time by putting ourselves on the list - 20 min - during which we just took a stroll in town and came back to a free outdoor table. Great Pad Thai, great green Curry, tasty Mango sticky rice. Do yourselves a favour and make sure you go there at least once during your stay!

Definitely recommend getting a reservation. We managed to get in (two of us) without one, but were only given one hour to eat. Really nice food! Limited in options as someone who eats a lot of Thai food, but the things they do make are delicious. Red curry is amazing. Sort of expensive but it is quality food. And they accept card.

Really tasty food with very healthy portion sizes. Cashew chicken was 5/5, portion size was very big Chicken satay 5/5, I literally spooned the left over sauce into my mouth Massaman was 3/5, tasty and good portion size but not authentic Thai taste. Too much star anise used

This is one of the best Thai restaurants in El Nido. We ordered green and red curry with chicken. The red curry is very spicy and tastes great. The place is not very big so if you have a big group, you might find it difficult to settle at a table, but for small groups it is great. The quality of the food is great.

Great place and overlooks the water. Just annoying though with the close proximity of people sitting with their back to your table and Flicking there dandruff filled hair onto your food. They shouldnt sit people like this. Kinda annoying as hell. Other than that it was a good place. Just be wearing of girls with long hair with their backs to your table.

Restaurant
Kalui Seafood Restaurant in Puerto Princesa is a long-time favorite among locals and tourists alike. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience where guests are asked to leave their shoes at the door and dine on floor cushions. The menu features delicious seafood and vegetable dishes, with no meat options available. Set meals highlight the freshest catches of the day, while the fresh fruit salad served in a coconut shell is highly recommended.
We booked our last dinner here before leaving Palawan, the service workers are great and lovely. I requested a birthday complimentary and offered a fruit bowl with a hearty birthday song. The food we had was amazing. I love seafood in general and the Kare-Kare seafood? So good!

From the moment a customer walks in, the concept washing of one’s hands is a great indication that the restaurant takes care a in clean atmosphere. We slipped off our shoes and were guided to a table kept cool with over hanging fans. Like many seafood restaurants, it’s best to ask ahead what items are available on the menu. Fish, after all, is also as seasonal as fresh-picked fruit. Our service was of great quality from start to finish. The setting is charming, the art is an added bonus and there’s even photo op areas throughout.

We ordered sinigang, sizzling squid, and kinilaw, and everything was delicious. The kinilaw was the star of the meal, super fresh and bursting with flavor. The ambience is also worth mentioning, with a warm and inviting space and a traditional Filipino vibe that makes the whole dining experience feel special. Highly recommended if you want great food and an authentic atmosphere in Puerto Princesa.

Celebrated a special day here at Kalui, and I must say, I’d rate it 100/10! The food was amazing—especially all the seafood we tried. We had the Kalui Special for two and left completely full. The fruits were fresh, the ambiance very Filipino, and the staff were all kind and friendly they even reco a more cheaper option that we can enjoy all food opt. They even gave us a free mixed fruit platter to celebrate. The comfort room was so aesthetic (see attached photos). Very sulit for the price—we paid just ₱1,400+ in total, and it was truly worth it! 😊

I wouldn’t recommend dining at KaLui Restaurant in Puerto Princesa if you’re expecting fresh seafood and flavorful dishes. The food was served cold, and the seafood didn’t taste fresh at all. If you’re from a place like Capiz the Capital seafood in the Ph—renowned for its high-quality seafood—you’ll immediately notice the difference. Don’t set your expectations too high, or you’ll likely end up disappointed by both the food and the service. We ordered the Lobster in Garlic Butter and the Sinigang ni Kakaw, Kinilaw and etc. Unfortunately, the sinigang lacked the signature sourness you’d expect. Instead, it had a sweet taste from the use of coconut and added sugar—far from the traditional flavor. The seafood set was also underwhelming: served cold and lacking in flavor. payed about ₱6000 plus for disappointment for 2pax For an honest review: what you pay is what you get at KaLui. If you’re looking for truly fresh seafood and better overall taste, I suggest exploring other dining options in Puerto Princesa. I suggest to go at Badjao Restaurant seafood at PPS.
FITME M — Google review
I absolutely loved dining at KaLui Restaurant it was such a relaxing experience. The food was amazing; I had their shrimp sinigang, which was bursting with flavor, and a fresh mango shake that was so refreshing. The staff were wonderful and attentive! A fun surprise was the huge restroom with its own resting area. I also loved the unique touch of taking off your shoes and storing them in a locker before dining. You can even play the ukulele for free, adding to the laid-back vibe. Everything was perfect, and I’d highly recommend anyone visiting PPS to stop by this restaurant.

Ka Inato Main Branch is a popular restaurant in Puerto Princesa known for its unique and diverse menu. The restaurant offers a variety of Filipino favorites such as chicken inato, kare-kare, sinuglaw, sinigang, adobo, and more. One of the most interesting dishes on the menu is crocodile sisig. Located on the main highway side in San Jose, the restaurant provides a significant cultural experience with colorful sculptures and intricate paintings decorating the space.
We had an amazing dining experience here. It's not everyday you'll be helped by a deaf-mute waiter. Cool haha. The food was great. I enjoyed the "Kambak-kambak". Didn't like the chicken bulalo though. Too bad, the Chicken Inato Special was not available when we visited. And the venue was too pleasant. Good ventilation. Everything wood and brown felt relaxing.

Great local food and warm service! I enjoyed every dish I tried at Ka Inato Main Branch. The grilled chicken, seafood, crocodile sisig, pansit, and shakes were all delicious. The place has a cozy vibe and friendly staff — I also love that they employ deaf-mute workers, which makes the experience even more special. A must-try when you're in Puerto Princesa!

Tried Ka-inato today and it was such a pleasant experience! The place has a cozy and welcoming vibe, the food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly kind. We even got to learn a few sign language gestures from their Deaf crew, which made the visit even more meaningful. 🫶✨ Highly recommended for both the food and the heart behind it. 💯Price is not bad super sulit.

Great place to dine. They have good selection of dishes in their menu. Special mention, they also support local products and provide jobs to pwds.

Open area so no aircon but they have plenty of fans. We're supposed to eat at Ka Joel's but they were closed and our guide pointed us here instead. Food was okay! Loved their pusit, it was very soft. Communicating with their deaf and mute waiters weren't hard at all. I commend the establishment for giving them a chance! You can pay via card, cash, or even QR code. I paid via QR code. We spent 3500 for 8 people. That includes 3 pitchers of iced tea and all the food you see in the pic. They're fairly priced imo, they also have rice meals if you're not opting for the family sharing option.

One of the few places you can get hot fresh cooked eggs instead of the standard cold eggs in a pan, sitting g there for who knows how long. Brewed coffee, not instant, buffet has a good mix of hot and cold foods, no dogs roaming around, very nice NEW bathrooms, clean and artfully decorated restaurant. Wifi and lots of big fans. Just a pleasurable and inviting place to have a 2 hour breakfast 😋 may of the staff are deff, but you have a photo book of signs you can learn which is part of the fun in my opinion. Don't worry, some staff are hearing and speak English. They have parking on the side, and on the street. However, if you park on the street and a van parks next to you, you need a spotter outside to stop traffic so you can back out. This is probably my 12th time eating here, and I come back for good reason.

Genuinely lovely staff, so welcoming and friendly. Quick to serve you and even offered us a free cocktail as a mispour. Bakery
Midtown El Nido Bakery, located in Downtown El Nido, is a must-visit for its freshly baked buns and delicious bread. While it may not offer fancy Western pastries, the bakery's hot-out-of-the-oven treats are priced affordably between 2PHP to 25PHP. Visitors can line up for their popular banana bread and coconut-filled bread. These affordable pastries and bread make for perfect treats before or after island hopping tours.
I had an overpriced breakfast at a place across the street and was craving something sweet. Stepped out and saw this real authentic, non-touristy looking, out-of-place bakery. I was full from the breakfast so I just took one donut for 10 pesos if I remember the price correctly. It was hands-down the best plain donut I ever had in my life. No exaggeration. It was my last day in The Philippines and I was taking the van to PPS. My only regret was not carrying a bag full of those donuts for the ride.
Sagar R — Google review
It was a bit busy when I went in the afternoon and I decided to try a couple of pastries. It was disorderly when you get to the front of the line. There are nice signs to tell you what the pastries are and for how much they are sold for. It’s everyone fending for themselves, you must get the attention of a worker before someone else pushes past you to get helped first. By the time I got the attention of the worker, she was clearly annoyed when she could tell I was a foreigner and was rushing to get me to order. I quickly pointed to a cookie and she ask “anything else” multiple times. I did end up pointing to another pastry and said that was all. It was fairly cheap at 10 pesos for two pastries. It’s really hard to make a decision on what to get when you don’t know the items and how much they cost. The service wasn’t great. The pastries were mediocre.

I tried some cakes after seeing a large queue for days. The donut was really good and the brownie bites were a bit dry but for the price, way better than other ones from surrounding coffee shops. I paid 180p.
Ni N — Google review
Fantastic little authentic bakery, selling a wide selection of local and international pastries, cakes and sweat and savoury breads. The local foods are the cheapest with the more international options being a little higher in price, so the prices do vary a bit. However this is totally to be expected as producing a local sweat bread or making a simple ring donut is much cheaper than producing a pain au chocolat for example. Having said that even the higher priced items are still very inexpensive really. It does get a bit chaotic at busy times but this just highlights how popular and how good the bakery is. The staff are super friendly and helpful too and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the different items for sale. This bakery is a great place to grab a breakfast on the go or a sweat treat or snack at any time of day. It's one of the few places in El Nido offering food at local prices and not fleecing tourists like most of the other places in El Nido. I highly recommend this bakery, I went here every day during my stay in El Nido.

The best place in El Nido! The average pastery costs between 3 to 5 pesos !!! The donuts and vanilla buns are heaven! We tried new things everyday and ate about 10 donuts a day. It’s a wonder I didn’t roll out of the island! Heads up, don’t get the banana bread it’s 45 and kind of dry!

We are regular customers for years, time to give a rating. The ambience is just ok, but you can see the ocean. Once inside though, the food is incredibly tasty and delicious, if you make the right choices and keep it filipino. They serve fresh fish and seafood by weight as well as a regular menu, which offers the better value. Absolut favourites here: Kinilaw (Ceviche), Spicy or Pepper Shrimp, Baked Mussels, Squid Salpicao, Sizzling Octopus, Kankong and a great Mango or Buko Shake. We avoid buttered dishes and pasta as in the PH this often is sweet and not westerners choice. We came more often before, but were disappointed as 6 weeks ago all food prices went up 30% without any visible improvement. Still, authentic filipino cuisine, cooked with love.

Badjao! Badjao! Badjao! I just have to say... woohoo! They say first impressions last, and mine was unforgettable. As soon as I stepped into the restaurant, I was captivated by the stunning view of the sea and lush trees, with a cool breeze and a cozy, authentic Filipino ambiance that truly reflects the spirit of Palawan. The staff greeted us with warm smiles and friendliness, making us feel truly welcome. I loved how fresh the food was, especially the seafood, which tasted sweet and delightful. The grilled fish was perfectly cooked — tender and free of any fishy aroma — a sign of excellent quality. The all-season shake was blended beautifully, allowing the fruity flavors to shine through. I also ordered a solo tanigue (mackerel) sinigang, which was a little salty, but the generous staff promptly brought us a second bowl of broth — that was a lovely touch. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, thanks to the friendly staff, delicious food, and breathtaking views. If you're visiting Puerto Princesa, you definitely should come and see this place! The food might be a bit on the pricier side, but it's worth trying for the experience. Just a heads up, you'll need to take a tricycle or car to get here, as there's no public transportation directly to the restaurant.

The atmosphere is great since you would have view of the bay and if the sky is clear, sunset would be lovely, fresh air since it is far from the roads, and the sorrounding is full of Mangrove Trees
Val G — Google review
It’s a little bit far from the main road but it’s worth visiting. The parking area is also wide. The pathway to the restaurant is surrounded by mangroves, it’s so relaxing and it doesn’t smell bad. Majority of the tables are located at the edge so you’ll have a view of the water and the sea. We came at lunchtime and it’s very busy but they were able to accommodate and serve us well. We ordered pork kare-kare, grilled tanigue fish, and seaweed salad. All of them are delicious. The pork kare-kare is soft and the vegetables in it are fresh and crunchy. The grilled tanigue fish is cooked perfectly and very tender and flavorful. The seaweed salad is optional for those who don’t really like the taste of the ocean but you can try it and put a lot of calamansi in it and you’re good. They also serve fresh fruit shakes. We tried the buko shake and it is so refreshing. Because it’s far from the main road, you can ask the staff to call you a tricycle if you don’t have a car. Also, major credit cards are accepted here. #jezzdoit

Beautiful view, excellent service and wonderful food. This was our 3rd time here. I ordered lamb souvlaki medium well all 3 times and it was cooked to perfection. My kids ordered the chicken souvlaki and they loved it. My wife ordered the fish stew that she also loved. The vegetables on the souvlaki was cooked to perfection. Cafe Athena offers a nice mix of Mediterranean flavors in El Nido. I tried the Prawn Aglio Olio which was simply seasoned with garlic and olive oil over garlic parmesan pasta and it was decent. The Mediterranean Dips were enjoyable with hummus, htipiti, and baba ganoush served alongside pita bread that was thicker than usual, making it hearty and filling. My favorite of the lunch was the Cafe Athena Chopped Salad with mixed greens, blue cheese, pears, walnuts, and a Greek vinaigrette. The blend of flavors from the cheese, vinaigrette, and crisp greens came together beautifully and made this dish stand out. Overall, a pleasant spot for Mediterranean food in El Nido - specially if you sit in front of the sea.

You can't expect somebody to cook perfect greek who has never been in greece. The chicken souvlaki and chicken gyros was quite okay. Taste El Nido, 100% Plant-Based Cafe is a popular spot in the heart of El Nido that fully embraces sustainability and vegetarianism. It's known for its vibrant and nutritious breakfast bowls, refreshing fruit shakes, and an array of plant-based dishes for lunch and dinner.
My wife and me tried this vegan place for breakfast, and it turned out to be surprisingly well. The place is air condition which is a relief in an area and it serves some of the best breakfast options here. Their menu has a lot of variety of vegan food, which is hard to find around. We tried their burrito bowl and a smoothie bowl both of which are fantastic in taste. The smoothie bowl was almost like a/which was too cold for us, but we managed it somehow, because the taste was very good. The burrito bowl was quite good with a lot of toppings. The ambience is nice and fresh clean The place may get full sometimes during breakfast, so there can be a wait time all in all a great option for vegans in El Nido.

Just came from Taste and had an Amazing Lunch. Got the Chipotle Burrito Bowl which was just Delicious. When it arrived i thought to myself that i would not need so much sauce but turned out i needed more sauce as it really enhanced the Bowl. Great Staff too. Happy to have discovered this Amazing Vegan Place.
Vic M — Google review
The food that we tried is super tasty. Cant remember the name of the smoothie, but we first tried the blue one, one taste and we fell in love with it! We ordered another smoothie, this time we tried the red one, and it didn’t disappoint as well! Must try in El Nido!
Daistine B — Google review
We were looking for a place to have breakfast and enjoy a good coffee with non-dairy milk options, and it was such a pleasant surprise. The coffee was excellent, with choices of soy and oat milk. We also tried the Cool Blue smoothie bowl and the Banoffee waffle – everything was delicious and served quite fast. Highly recommended, and everything on the menu is 100% vegan. The only thing I would improve is the seating: I understand the space is limited, but it can be a bit uncomfortable to sit on the floor or small stools with such low tables.

I had an amazing bowl here 🤩 — absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and full of vibrant flavours. The place itself is lovely and has such a pleasant atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and enjoying your meal. They offer a wonderful selection of plant-based options, 🌿💙

One of the best decorated cafe with good wifi and charging points. Coffee is not bad but it is pricier than the rest of the cafe. An americano cost 170peso here. Highly recommended if you are working on your schedule and require good wifi and charging station for a few hours.
Eng L — Google review
Ordered crepe, smoothie bowl, and biscoff latte and they tasted great. Value for money is reasonable. The atmostphere is mid for me because it has small area for dining in. All in all, I recommend this place. 😊
Janna — Google review
The food is absolutely amazing! We wish we had more time in El Nido just so we could go back again. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. The Cool Blue Smoothie Bowl is to die for—so refreshing, perfectly blended, and packed with flavor. The Tofu Burrito Bowl was another standout, with the perfect mix of textures and seasonings. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is friendly, making the whole experience even better. If you’re in El Nido, this is a must-visit spot for delicious, plant-based food. Highly recommend!

Restaurant
Silog Republic, located in Barangay Maligaya Rizal St., is the go-to spot for a classic Filipino breakfast that won't break the bank. With meals priced at less than 100PHP, it's a rare find in El Nido. The roasted chicken and crispy shrimp are standout dishes, while vegetarians will appreciate the flavorful sizzling tofu option.
Food was great and at a cheap price compared to other food establishments within the area.
Geomariefer E — Google review
Over priced, corned beef was the same served in regular silogan everywhere. Rice was not old and frying it doest masked the fact that it is. Putting raw onions will not make the food taste better. Dont be lazy and walk a little bit further to get your money's worth.
Jason T — Google review
the food is good. the tapa is excellent and tasty. the crew is very mindful of things customers might forget though I prefer them not to use used oil for frying the eggs because it leaves aftertaste and it is not good; overall the food is good and clean, even the place is tidy
Aldwin M — Google review
The food is fantastic. This restaurant has a 'local' feel. Not a 'trendy' restaurant. In fact, with all the European, Australian, and American tourists in El Nido I was the only obvious non-Filipino that I saw going here. I liked it better than some of the beachside pubs for food.
Michael M — Google review
Local restaurant. Price is ok comparing to some other restaurants around here. But taste could be better. Be aware that it is too salty. Actually I wanna try the grilled chicken at the place next to Silog. But the man pointed us Silog, we thought we could only order grilled chicken from there. Then the waiter at Silog said there is no grilled chicken here (WTH??!)
Min — Google review
In a place where exquisite restaurants and fresh from the sea chow places, this place is a budget friendly store for you. It's like you're eating the "silog" from the streets of Manila with the pocket-friendly price. If you are in El Nido for its beaches, places and not the food, you will never have a problem eating here.
Dubz D — Google review
The slowest service ever. You should order one day in advance to have the food on time. I left fries that I've paid for because it was taking too long, at least I expect that the next customer enjoyed my fries.

I only had the pork sisig here so I cant give a credited review. They menu is cheap so you should try it out. The only menu I had which was pork sisig but it was way too GAMEY even for me. I can usually take it but this was too much

Viet Ville Restaurant is a unique dining spot located in Barangay Santa Lourdes, Puerto Princesa. It was established in 1996 to rehouse Vietnamese boat people living in refugee camps. While the village has become mostly deserted, the restaurant remains a vital part of the community. The place is adorned with Vietnamese cultural items and offers authentic yet affordable Vietnamese and Asian dishes, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts.
Just wow! I can’t tell you enough how much I recommend thus restaurant! Banh mi 100/10! the bread is very crispy on the outside and the flavors inside are superb 😍 Dont even get me started on the chao long and the pho😭🥹 mah ghad come here already!
Madonna C — Google review
Food here tastes authentic! I ordered the bun bo (beef stew noodles) and they tasted like the ones I had in Saigon. Portion of the noodles could have been more plenty, though. Also got the tuna banh mi. I loved it, the baguette was very crispy. Did take a while to serve and came after our main (which were the beef stew noodles).

Love the Banh Mi, Porridge and Pho. The Vietnam coffee is good, too. It may take a while to be served though.
Yuujin — Google review
We arrived later in the evening and were seated quickly. After placing our order, the food was served in a timely manner. I must say, the beef pho was quite delicious! The vermicelli bowl with BBQ pork and vegetables was fantastic! We also ordered the lemongrass chicken rice plate but ended up taking it to go, as we were too stuffed to finish everything.
Caroline P — Google review
If you don't want to wait an hour for your food, then DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. We arrived at the restaurant at 12:07 PM. Our order was taken at around 12:15PM and was served at 1:17PM!!! We had to follow up twice and were informed that there was an "advanced order" from another table, hence ours was delayed. They didn't give any warning that there will be some delays with the order. There were 4 other tables who came after us and they got their food before us. They were just three of us and we didn't even order a lot as seen in the photo.
Carmz — Google review
as a first timer in Palawan going here for my first meal is actually a good decision 💯. the place has a historical background according to our driver that day. me and my friend got interested and ate there for lunch after the beach. the food is delicious. they cook their own bread and the place is actually very relaxing because of the interior. definitely a must visit if you're going to Puerto Princes.
Loreine R — Google review
I visited this restaurant on my trip to puerto princesa. The restaurant probably was good when Vietnamese people owned it. It is now operated by Filipino. The menu has Vietnamese dishes but they don’t taste anything like traditional Vietnamese food. I had Bò Kho bánh mì. It tasted awful and salty. After 2 bites, I couldn’t eat more of it. I told the restaurant to taste it themselves. They took the food back in the kitchen and still charged for the dish. They didn’t offer a replacement or an apology. If you are Vietnamese or people who are interested in Vietnamese foods, you should avoid this restaurant. It’s a long ride from the city. It’s absolutely a waste of time and money.
RJ N — Google review
We went here on our way back to Puerto Princesa. The place was awesome. A lot of thought was given to the design of both exterior and interior of the restaurant. The outside was refreshing because of the lush plants in the area. Parking is more than sufficient for the place. The current Managing team of this place studied Vietnames cuisine and it shows. Their food was fresh and delicious. Their Vietnamese Halo-Halo was different but very, very good. Their bread are baked fresh and my friends made sure to buy some to take home. The only thing that was not so pleasant was the long wait for Service and billing. Unfortunately, they are not ready for the influx of people which caused a long waiting time for guests. Then it’s another long wait for the bill. But, we were a big group and aside from our dine in orders, many of them also had take out orders. So that accounts for the long wait. If you’re in Palawan, you should visit Viet Ville Restaurant. It’s worth the wait. :)

Baker's Hill is a popular spot in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, known for its delectable baked goods and picturesque surroundings. Apart from offering a wide array of pastries like hopia, the place also features attractions such as life-size sculptures, a mini zoo, and a viewing deck. Visitors can indulge in city tours to explore historical sites like Binuatan Creations, Heritage Museum, Mitras Ranch, and the Palawan Rescue and Wildlife Center with its crocodile farm.
Always been my one and only go-to pasalubong place! Love their hopia, pianono 💯, crinkles and more! I am a local here but currently living away. This place has been here since I was a kid, there were ostriches before—named Homer and Marge, sadly, they're not around anymore. But still, it's a nice spot to visit when you're in Puerto Princesa. Their goodies are the best, must try 💯
Reya M — Google review
This is such a cute little cozy spot. I was not expecting the peacocks and the views. I knew there were a restaurant and we were going for drinks but the other activities were a surprise. Great if you want to relax a bit or bring the kids. There’s a nice play area for them while you sit and watch them. There were so many beautiful flowers we have never seen before. The owners did a great job.
Shabrica W — Google review
Didn’t expect it to be this big—and beautiful! There’s honestly so much to see and do here. The place is huge, and everywhere you turn, there’s a photo-worthy spot—prepare to spend extra time just uploading everything 😅 The landscaping is on point too; it almost feels like you’re walking around a theme park with all the charming details. After all the picture-taking, make sure to drop by the in-house Baker's Hill bakery for some pasalubong. Their Rebel Bar is chef’s kiss—definitely a must-try! 😋

Try bringing home their famous Hopia which comes in many flavors. There's even a Civet cat coffee available there. Marvel the landscape and mini zoo with beautiful peacocks, too. Entrance is absolutely free.
Beauty&Diamonds — Google review
Great find. Think it is a locale secret. Not much advertised in things to do in town, but such a great family theme park. Enough to see and do to keep entertained for hours. Great for all sorts of coffee and local bakery specialty Hopia

Baker’s Hill in Puerto Princesa City is a charming stop included in the city tour, and the best part is the free entrance. Visitors can stroll around and enjoy its well-kept grounds featuring beautiful flower arrangements in large water containers and even spot elegant peacocks roaming the area. The place also houses a restaurant and a bake shop, making it perfect for both sightseeing and food trips. Don’t miss their freshly baked treats—especially the pianonos and wide variety of hopia, which are popular take-home pasalubong.
Norman G — Google review
Awesome! That's how I describe the area. Will come back to check out their pasalubong center because I was too busy taking dozens of photos of their area. I love their restaurant too! They have a cery friendly, accomodating nad professional stagf who handled all my food request. Ohh I love their food too!!! The nature vibe reminded me of my grandma who just passed away. I guesse she was communicating me through my nature adventure. Commendable service and a place to visit if you happened to stay in PPS for a day or 2 days.

Maa's Grill in El Nido offers an authentic Filipino dining experience with its flavorful seafood and local dishes. Despite its small space, the restaurant is known for packing a punch with its delicious offerings. Managed by a friendly couple, it exudes a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the warmth of the locals. The menu features home-cooked Filipino dishes that make diners feel like they're enjoying a meal prepared by their grandmother.
We ordered Fish ceviche (Fresh and definitely safe to eat, tastes great and comes in huge bites.), Butter Garlic Shrimps (Highly recommend!!), Chicken adobo with coconut milk and Grilled Meat. This was a hearty and homemade meal that was satisfying. Must-visit.
Leanne C — Google review
Just had an amazing dinner at Maa’s Grill in El Nido, and I can’t recommend it enough! The food was absolutely delicious and so authentic perfect after a day of island hopping. We tried the squid in a rich, savory sauce (possibly adobo-style?), succulent shrimp topped with garlic and spices, and a mouthwatering pork dish with peanuts and veggies that had the perfect balance of flavors. Everything was fresh, and the portions were generous enough to share. The rice was the perfect side to soak it all up. The vibe is super casual and welcoming, with that homey Filipino feel. Service was friendly, though it got busy, so arriving early is a good tip. Prices were super reasonable too! Will definitely be back before leaving El Nido. Don’t miss this spot if you love real Filipino cuisine!
Franklin R — Google review
Adobo in coconut cream and the Fish sinigang were the best. The menu says “grilled” pork belly but it was only fried/baked in the oven. There’s no smoky flavor. The kilawin was really fresh.

we dined here thrice in our 6-day visit and it's also the last resto we visited before going back home, that's how much we loved the food here! the price is good and the food even better. you really get your money's worth. we loved the adobong kangkong so much, we ordered it every time. the seafood is fresh and delicious. the place is also nice and chill. it was cool and fresh inside even during a very sunny lunchtime. definitely our favorite place in el nido. we would love to visit again someday.

If you are looking for comforting Pinoy food this is the place to be! 🇵🇭 We ordered Sinigang na Baboy which is sooo comforting after being out from the island tour. This is good for sharing, tons of veggies and pork and the soup is just the right amount of sourness! The Pork Sisig is sooo good as well with egg on top! Good for sharing as well

Maas Grill is a hidden gem right in the heart of El Nido, along Hama Street. We went to this small local restaurant and were blown away by how good the food was! We tried their sisig and chicken adobo with coconut milk — the adobo was especially unique and full of flavor. The prices are reasonable (around ₱300 per dish), and the spot gives you a nice little view of the street so you can relax and people-watch while you eat. Definitely one of the best Filipino meals I’ve had in town!

Loved the food here! Zac the owner is super friendly. They were in the middle of a power shortage when he convinced us to get take away but lo and behold the power was back! And we had delicious food and great service for a decent price 😄 Possibly the only rice in the Philippines that wasn't sticky!

We ordered the chili and garlic curry with mix veggies and paneer. 2/3 spicy level. Amazing food. We felt as though it was a little expensive and small, as you only get either rice OR naan and when we ordered extra naan, for 59p more, it was a very small piece. Paneer was also an extra 50 p. Food was incredible though so we weren’t mad about it. Would recommend if you like Indian food and are not traveling on a tight budget.

Nestled in the hills above El Nido, The Nesting Table is a bayside restaurant offering stunning hilltop views of Bacuit Bay. Accessible via a 10 to 15-minute trek, this rustic jungle eatery exudes a serene ambiance and boasts an oceanfront balcony with cushioned seats and hammocks.
This place is extraordinary! Every spot is instagrammable! It's actually the restaurant of The Birdhouse and just like the hotel guests, one must also climb the stairs leading to this place. It was a moderate hike up the restaurant but was very tiring especially for me who didn't have exercise for a long time. I think it's still not that popular with the locals because all of the diners there were foreigners when we dined so visit it ASAP before it gets crowded. The food, though, for me wasn't great but it's still good, I guess because it's all organic and no preservatives added and I'm not just used to it. Again it's just for me and we don't have the same set of taste buds. Back to view, it's very breathtaking! We will surely go back here if given the chance! We had our outdoor seats reserved days prior to our trip and the reservation officer was very accommodating even if we had erratic reservation due to unforseen events. Thank you The Nesting Table! Chirp Chirp!

Highly recommended to go during sunsets. My fiancee and I visited at night. A few things to note is that it's about 10 mins from Vanilla Beach, or 15 minutes from McDonalds. This place is located on a hill overlooking the bay, so there are quite a number of steps before you reach the restaurant. There will be inspiring signs along the way to give you a morale boost to keep climbing. The restaurant is great, very nice touches in design. Staff are very welcoming. If you are keen, do try to make a reservation, as the spaces in the restaurant are limited and tend to be booked up. Even though we were walk in customers, they were accommodating to us and let us sit on a balcony to wait for a vacant table. The food was very good (we recommend the pork chop). The owner greeted us and was very friendly. It is a good experience altogether.

Amazing dinner experience for 2 at The Nesting Table; me and my boyfriend went there for a nice view and good food and that’s what we found. Lovely and stylish atmosphere, good and fast service, selected plates very well prepared. We had the Snapper which has a delicate sauce and very well prepared cocktails and dessert! Would definitely go there again. Thank you
Arianna P — Google review
Somewhat underwhelming experience. Lovely location and wonderful staff but the food just failed to deliver. We had the ceviche which was unusual due to the tomato based sauce, the veggie burger with banana heart pattie - the bun was stale, the pineapple fridge cold as well as the potato crisps. Most dissapointing was the chicken inasal with no hint of lemongrass or the calamansi honey glaze, and the sautéed vegetables were non existent. We were a little surprised at a service charge as have not seen this before in Palawan. This place has a long long way to go before it reaches the levels of Mojitos in Port Barton which is quite rightly ranked #1
El D — Google review
It's a climb alright. But a spectacular view of El Nido's lagoon and good food and I mean it the meatballs the grilled fish the chicken adobo oh so yummy. The staff very well trained and friendly. Make sure to book way ahead if you the best view on the balcony for that romantic sundowner. The cakes with their French press is the perfect ending to your sumptuous meal. But make sure to bring cash or have a PayPal account!
Summer S — Google review
The menu is kept short, which is for me a typical indicator for high quality food. We tried the Currys and we loved it. The restaurant is lovely decorated, very romantic. If you get the chance to sit outside, you'll enjoy a beautiful sea view. Walk along Vanilla Beach and keep your eyes open for signs to find this place. To get up to the tree tops you need to go up bamboo stairs (see picture below).

Noki Nocs Savory House is a popular spot known for its delicious halo-halo, a cold dessert made with layers of crushed ice, sweet beans, milk, fruit gummies, and a choice of toppings like ice cream or leche flan. Despite the name suggesting savory dishes, their halo-halo is a must-try. The key to their perfect halo-halo lies in the smoothness of the ice.
Very good place for cheap and delicious food. You can try some traditional meals here. It was busy during the lunch time but still had some places.

08/02/2024 Snack. My wife and I shared a Halo Halo (with ice milk). We enjoyed it, but it would have been better with real ice cream. An average snack. Rating first impressions: Excellent: Uniquely satisfying. V Good: Better than I expected. Avg: An everyday meal. Good food. Fair: Below par. Dirty & or flies.

I was hungry and just needed something to eat when I came here. Even though the listed closing time was 8pm, they were starting to close at 7pm and was told it was take out only. There were no vegetarian options, so I asked for the egg and ham, but without the latter. Basically, two egg and cheese sandwiches with fries and a lemon tea. The sandwich were a bit greasy for my liking.

A restaurant which sell many different food fare from western Pizza to local lomi. Ordered a batchoy and found it a little too salty, but the crispy crackle is nice. Price wise is very reasonable(135peso + coke for 50 peso). Recommended!

Great place to eat. Its affordable for anyone. Lots of dishes to choose from. The liempo tastes good for the price. Tuna kinilaw is kinda salty. Staff are friendy and the service is good. Ambiance is okay but its a bit hot when more people came in.

Noki Nocs is a Pinoy Comfort Food place. I love the savory meals and the Halo-halo! A visit in Puerto Princesa is not complete without their creamy Halo-Halo. It is soooo creamy with the shaved milk, and one would have a hard time distinguishing it from the ice cream, if not for the color. Definitely a must try i. PPC. Location is perfect! Near KM0 Puerto Princesa, making it easily accessible.

They served the dessert first, the Sampler A which was the main course second, and the fries last. The fries and mais con yelo were worth their price but only the palabok in the sampler A was tasty.

The best halo halo in Palawan... I ordered sizzling beef so far its OK... The mini silvannas they have is OK also though you almost can't taste its fillings...

San Jose New Market, situated in the San Jose neighborhood of northern Puerto Princesa, offers a genuine local experience. Despite being slightly disorganized due to a fire in 2017, it remains a bustling and well-organized hub of commerce. The market boasts an impressive variety of seafood and is an excellent place to purchase kasuy and danggit for pasalubong. It also provides a wide range of souvenirs, dried fish, and cashew nuts.
This market compared to the old one is a bit cleanlier, but as it is still 'new' there isn't much people here. However, both are still very great markets! You can find fresh foods, jarred goods, and sometimes items for cheap if you have a good eye. A very good place to look around and buy affordably. I usually bring with me an extra bag as a lot of stuff gets bought! There's also Massway nearby, as well as tricycles and jeepneys nearby.

Impressive variety of seafood available! Has everything one might expect from a wet and dry market. Great place to get kasuy and danggit for pasalubong. Maybe a bit disorganized after it was hit by fire last 2017 but still a good alternative to the Old Market in the center of town.
Rene S — Google review
Pretty large market with a good variety of fruit, vegetables, nuts, spices and fish. Our favourite is the fresh coconut milk that they extract on the spot for only 25 pesos per coconut! The ready-made food is really cheap and pretty good too, although not every dish we’ve tried, so you gotta try around and experiment. The entire market has a dirty feel and the plastic covers between the stalls (for shade and rain cover) are way too low, so you gotta walk around like Quasimodo.

An interesting, open air traditional market and very easily accessible by local transport. Always love to experience such type of market selling fresh local produce and for this case, the marine catch like fish, clams etc looked so fresh and "appetizing". And the fruits and vegetables - again, very fresh and inviting. Price of products sold here are very reasonable.

Tambok's El Nido is a Filipino restaurant located in Lio, just 15 minutes north of the Town Proper. It offers southern Filipino comfort food, including best-sellers like chicken inasal, buko pansit, and okoy. The restaurant also provides fast internet connection, a rarity in El Nido. Additionally, it serves Iloilo-style recipes with familiar yet unique flavors.
Have read good reviews about the place before actually dining here and I can confirm that it's really a great place to dine in El Nido. Place has a native feel - very airy and relaxing. The chairs, tables, plates and condiments all add up to the native theme. Food offerings are also great although a bit pricey, but I can say it was worth it. Servers were all smiles and courteous.

Amazing food here! We were waiting to find a place like this after going to 2 average places in El Nido town. Great place to stop by before heading to Nacpan beach or the waterfalls. We had breakfast there and also went back again for dinner. Staff are friendly and food was served promptly. For breakfast we had lamsilog (fish), tapsilog (beef) with unlimited iced tea and halo halo dessert we really enjoyed everything. For dinner we had cheese sticks, barbeque pork skewers, lechon kawali (pork belly), sigsig burger, leche flan (cream caramel - creamiest one we've ever had in our life!) with coconut smoothie and watermelon shake - all very delicious although Sigsig burger on the salty side.

Located 5 km from downtown on elnido National highway(very close to the airport in elnido) away from the crowded downtown area. it’s a open from 6am to 10pm. Location is a bit far if you don’t have a rental bike. You can stop by on the way to nacpan beach or the waterfalls. Food was amazing, hot and fresh and well presented. Very kind staff as well. Portions were decent and fresh juices on the menu as well. I would highly recommend anyone visiting El Nido to try atleast once eating here. Staff are friendly and it does get crowded as it’s popular. The prices compared to downtown elnido resto prices is much cheaper.

Find this place! It's about 3.5 miles away from the main area and will take you a few minutes on a bike but if you have one rented... MAKE THE DRIVE! They don't have a menu besides what's on the wall but this gem of a restaurant is a charming little spot to get away from the tourists, eat like a local, but also not be eating "shack" food. But still, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that but this place is also English speaking friendly... oh yeah and free WiFi haha

Lured by the cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting, I went straight to Tambok's El Nido after work. Since I haven't visited in awhile, i was surprised by the homey yet classy ambience thay flooded my senses! It was like having an eye massage while standing at the counter as the helpful crew,Chab, wraps my order. The cinnamon rolls did not last long. They were decadent (yes, plural🤣😂, i consumed more than one 🤤)! They were made with love, i can feel the ❤️ as the rolls unravel in my tounge. They taste far better that the commercially produced c.rolls because they are not as sweet! Ok bye, I'm craving for another one!

If you're on the hunt for authentic Italian flavors while exploring the stunning landscapes of the Philippines, look no further than Altrov'e Express. Nestled in El Nido's Town Proper, this charming eatery has quickly become a favorite among locals and travelers alike. With its inviting atmosphere and friendly staff, it's no wonder there's often a line out the door! Altrov'e Express specializes in delicious Neapolitan-style pizzas that are sure to tantalize your taste buds.
It's a yes and another yes for me. Our group liked the food so much that we went back and ordered even more food than we ordered the first time. And that is saying something because we're not big on carbs. But the Arabiatta is to die for while the Pancetta con Tartufo will bring you back to life. The pizza is best consumed with beer, which is what I did. Also, order the Gambari because it's a haven of flavors in itself. Yes, it's oily but a little oil never hurt anyone. I would recommend their beachfront location because of its better interiors. Their comfort rooms need a little bit of work but you wouldn't spend that much time there anywhere. 😉 Kudos to the chef and to the service staff. I look forward to visiting again.

Pizzas were really good, but, we were disappointed by the lack of pepperoni already at the beginning of the evening and it was impossible to stay at the terrace due to the smoke of the chimney of the next building. Only cash accepted and one of the most expensive in el Nido.

Greeted by the hostess as we arrived. Very friendly staff who are very attentive. We ate lunch there (1:00pm) and there was no wait. The pizza we had was pepperoni & mushroom. And the San Miguel Pilsen was cold. Highly recommend this place

The restaurant has been consistently rated as one of the best mandarin restaurants on Palawan Island and offers both lunch and dinner options with prices starting at around P350 ($7).
Solid Chinese joint right next to Lio Beach! The fried tofu itself didn’t quite live up to my expectations, but the sauce was delicious, as well as every other dish! I would’ve happily gone again, pricing wasn’t even too bad considering the location. The eggplant and pork was especially tasty. If you’re checking out Lio Beach (which you should, there are dank sun lounge chairs, great sand, fewer people, and a sick sunset view), Fat Chou is the surefire way to go.

Really good taste of the food, service attentive and friendly. This prices are just for tourists not for locals, and they charge you 10% service fee on the bill. Always a lot of ppl. sometimes you might need to wait for an order but the food delivers pretty quick. The peach mango pie is so nice! I tried a dish C8 I guess. This was an interesting experience. Each customer would order and then wait for their order to be filled before the next order was taken. As a result, this trip took 2-3x as long as it should have. I saw a space labeled “pick up” but this was not used. There were more than enough staff to support a process where multiple registers couls take orders while a few others could prep, check, and fill the orders. I was trying to not be frustrated but it felt like a huge waste of time as part of an inefficient process. The quality of food was expected and overall good, but definitely not worth waiting in line for more than 30 minutes. The staff was very friendly and apologetic.

Chowking is a relaxed self-service establishment that offers a variety of Chinese cuisine, including morning meals, savory broths, and traditional bite-sized treats. Located in the vicinity of Rizal Avenue, this eatery presents a selection of dishes inspired by Chinese culinary delights. It provides quick and convenient dining options without the need for table service. From breakfast offerings to flavorful soups and dim sum delights, Chowking caters to those seeking fast food with an oriental twist.
This is an alright meal if you’re looking for quick food and you’re tired of McDo or Jollibee. They’re open 24/7, which is convenient. The food is okay—it’s like you get what you pay for. Nothing fancy, but it does the job.
Rhealaine S — Google review
Slow service, food is nice. Last night at 12:30 am the chicken breading is harder than the usual but overall it's okay. I prefer their chicken since it's bigger than Jabee and I like it's juiciness. There was this one time when their chowfan tasted too salty and little clumps of salt were seen but more often it tasted nice. (I've been a regular these days) Their kitchen staff are rude towards the cashier and their music are overlapping (music playing in the dining area at the same time playing with music inside their kitchen) just last night. It affects the atmosphere. I have experience in the kitchen so I think their service is slow (for a fast food chain). Their branch on Junction 2 is much better in service and atmosphere. The first time I ate on Chowking Rizal, the chowfan paled in comparison to the chowfan in Junction 2. However Rizal is nearer so it's my chosen location.

Not that great experience here at this Chowking branch. Their food is not that great, I ordered a Won-Ton Mami noodles and it is oily compared to other noodles in other Chowking branches and it looked old. The other foods were fine and still the same. The staff are fast and responsive which is nice compared to other staff in other Chowking branches (go check the other branches if you want to see my reviews) In this part of the road, it's mostly traffic in these parts and it's minus stars for me. Overall the restaurant branch is 7/10 (I don't recommend because it's mostly traffic in these parts)

Brian G — Google review
Decent hotdogs for cheap prices (I think only the New Yorkers are the best value for price though). Portion of chips when you get a meal is pretty terrible though
Anisha — Google review
[2023 November] There's been some slight changes in the menu but quality is still the same. No more chicken sausage, but they did add a Cheese New Yorker (Php55). Had the taco sauce and garlic mayo again on both my orders (2 New Yorkers). I think I'll mix it up a bit next time around... [2023 October] Didn't realize that my last review of this place was from 3 years ago! I've been to Reef Hotdogs numerous times since then and quality has remained consistent, thanks to (or in spite of) transferring to a better location just across the street with more seating options. Because of inflation during the past 3 years (covid, wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, tensions in the West Phil Sea, etc), there's been a slight (but reasonable) price increase: a New Yorker now costs Php50 and a Schublig Php190. Kielbasa is at Php210 while a Cheese Hungarian is Php190. Cheapest item on the menu, though, is still at Php40: Chicken Sausage. Still the best value for money one can have in Puerto Princesa City, at least in terms of fast food. Each order still comes with 2 free sauces/condiments and toppings are down to Php20 from Php25 three years ago! Combo meals (includes fries, drink, and 3 sauces) are from Php105 to Php290. [3 years ago] Great for quick snacks at reasonable prices. New Yorker costs Php40, Hungarian Sausage Php90, Shueblig at Php170. Each order comes with free 2 sauces/condiments of your choice. I always have the taco sauce and garlic sauce. Other sauces include caramelized onion, chili, and of course, the usual ketchup and mustard, with each costing an additional Php10. Toppings like sauerkraut, jalapeño, etc. are Php25 each. Great value for money! Too bad their other branch at SJD Center closed already -- that one was much closer (I live in the San Jose/San Manuel area) and had better seating options.
Rene S — Google review
Every time I read a reviews, I take the good and the bad into consideration. Some are true but in this case it was incorrect. The person who gave this establishment a 1 star is completely wrong. I had the kielbasa with chili sauce and jalapeños and it was outstanding. The service, the beer, and the ambiance was absolutely amazing. Some people will never be satisfied no matter where they go or what they eat. All of us know someone personally or it also might be you that Im writing about. I just wanted to do this business a little justice and say thank you for satisfying my craving of the hotdog Im used to from the states. Stay blessed ya'll and stay positive.

The lager one serves two male adults ... Prices are El Nido like a bit too high for this corner of the world ;)

We are on Friday 10th of April 2018. My wife and I decided to eat at this restaurant yesterday. Nice presentation, we were really interested. So, we ordered two tuna pasta. 25min after, the waiter comes with those two beautiful plates and two big portions of pasta tuna. It was cooked in a lot of oil, but we are in Asia, most of the dishes are fried... No worries then. Now... We can't even stop vomiting and we are running straight to the toilets. And it's the only restaurant we've been to. So, guys, my advice? Avoid this restaurant! It just made us cancel our trip tomorrow and maybe the day after. We're even afraid to go back to any restaurant... I miss Paris!

Nice pizza place in Corong Corong area. Wood fired pizza and we had ordered 3 different pizzas and all of them tasted good. The pizza tasted fresh and had the flavour. One of the good restaurants in El Nido.

Ive been coming back to this place day after day at el nido. Lots of places to eat but this one seems to be at the top of my list. Authentic pizza. Highly recommended!

We ordered selection of food, pizza, salad, pasta and all was good. When one goes upstairs, there is a need to take off shoes (filipino style).

Pizza restaurant
Greenwich is a great place to go for pizza. The service is good and the restaurant is well decorated. The pizzas here are some of the best vegetarian ones that I have ever had.
The service was fast and friendly and they brought the food to our table when it was ready. It was hot and fresh and delicious and the crust was really tasty. They have good options for toppings and the price is reasonable.

Had terrible experience here. The chicken not eatable and too spicy. For our request to replace it manager did nothing. As he wanted us just to pay more. Very dissatisfied and disappointed

Greenwich is a restaurant all about pizzas, Italian food but with a mix of Filipino culture. The food itself is nice, delicious but it is a bit overpriced. Yes I recommend trying most of their food such as their lasagna, Meaty spaghetti and chicken. My problem here is the pizza, it's really dry, not much flavor, really flat but it is slightly better than Shakey's pizza (Check my profile for the Shakey's Pizza review) The staff are quite friendly and I don't have a problem with them. The interior and atmosphere inside is mostly colored of green and black styling their color logo and with pizza paintings and designs all over the walls. Overall, I don't really recommend trying their restaurant. 5/10

Expensive, but kind of worth it after many weeks with no pizza.. The toppings are good and the dough was good too. Its an American Pizza with a thicker dough you find here. The tomato sauce tastes a little sweet, but still acceptable. All in all I can recommenf this place. I only tried Pizza Hawaii 😋 and its was ok!

I'm here to report that I personally think your pizza taste bad. The crusty, sauce and toppings are sickening sweet. To much sugar. Why do you use so much sugar. You should offer an option for real pizza, because real Pizza does not have sugar. Greenwich pizza is so sweet I could not even eat a whole slice. Because the pizza is so sweet, I can't eat Greenwich Pizza anymore.

All-in overload pizza is sweet-ish. One piece chicken is common.

Very big price increase recently. I don't find the price competitive with other restaurants
