The food is insane! Super tasteful, presentation is exquisite, service is on point, we ate here twice as we were staying in the hotel but we also loved the food. Tartare is the best ive had, super unique. The chicken is also delicious. Just, no words. You need to try it!

Attentive service and a great atmosphere! I ordered the vegan burger and a vegan dessert — both were absolutely amazing, and the portion sizes were really generous. Whether you're dining alone or with friends, this place is a great choice for dinner. I walked in and got a table, but it filled up quickly, so I’d recommend booking ahead if you can.

I stumbled upon the Montreux Jazz Cafe by accident while I was walking by the promenade 10 days ago. Being a Jazz enthusiast and familiar with the annual festival, I’ve decided to give the place a try. At first, the atmosphere was amazing, the walls were decorated with portraits of Jazz legends who participated in the festival. I wasn’t planning on having lunch but I thought about trying the burger, and boy oh boy, I wasn’t disappointed. It was one of best burgers I’ve ever eaten, juicy and full of flavors. I was served by a nice Angolan young man whom, unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name and we had a minor nice chat. I would visit this place again whenever I’m back in Montreux.

Food, service and atmosphere were all great. The main downside are the prices which are high, but you get good value for your money.

Art Deco vibe, nice and cozy seating space, spacious and nice toilets. Great service - I talked with the lovely Victoria! What a precious experience when you're traveling alone and have the staff being friendly by exchanging some stories about life! Please, whoever from Montreux Jazz Café reads this comment, my greetings to Victoria! Dessert was prettily presented, however the fish was not as fresh as expected - which is by nature as one cannot always expect fresh fish frome the lake ;)

The service was efficient and the food was very good. The restaurant is more of a hotel lounge (which of course it is) than a "jazz cafe". Ronnie Scott's this isn't. Maybe slightly lower lighting might improve the atmosphere. The real problem, though, is the pricing. Everything is about twice the price it should be.

Bartenders were excellent really friendly and efficient, very nice service... cocktails sickening sweet and gin presented in a glass of wine, with just 2 or 3 black pepper for 26chf plus tonic. Food was lacking of freshness, ribs tasted as microwaved and calamari very tiny for a lot of flour and batter.

I visited Barrière Casino and had the rib-eye steak with fries, which was decent but not outstanding. The poker room was a bit on the smaller side, with only 2/5 NLH games running, and I learned that the 1/3 game is only available on weekdays. The games themselves are fairly soft, which is great for players, but the 10% rake capped at 25 CHF feels a bit steep. Still, the overall experience was enjoyable—good atmosphere, friendly staff, and the casino itself has a nice vibe. Worth a visit if you’re in the area!

We were visiting Montreux and decided to check out the Smoke on the Water casino. We didn't do any gambling. We were more interested in the Queen Exhibit.

Scam for tourists – misleading parking fees There was a man in a suit standing near the parking area in front of the casino. I asked him how much parking costs – he told me 2 CHF per hour, which is also written on the sign at the entrance. I stayed about 2.5 hours and was charged 13 CHF! At the reception they told me they charge every 15 minutes as a full hour, which is incredibly misleading. This is a tourist scam and dishonest behavior. I do not recommend this place!

An amazing place for Queen fans and music fans alike, free to visit and always so relaxing.

Nice casino but no comparison to American casinos. Table games were not well staffed. Small poker room. Terrace dining was a bright spot. The employees were great too.

I came for the Freddie Mercury celebrations and decided to spend a couple of hundred francs on some Blackjack I was informed quite rudely that to have access to the casino I needed to produce either my driving license or passport As I don't drive I didn't have a driving licence and my passport was in my hotel safe I had been preparing for this trip for months and while it may be some Swiss regulation or something, I could not find that information easily on the website Oh well I get to keep my cash then

Visited with a friend. First of all, I'd like to praise the interior – it's truly stylish and atmospheric. As for the food – we ordered fish and chips. My friend found the potatoes overly salty, but that's a matter of taste. I initially wanted to order the Irish stew, as I had seen it on the menu on the website, but it turned out the stew had gone up in price by 5 CHF. Other prices (for the fish and chips, and for the beer) also didn't match what was listed online. The pub does offer Irish beer, and my friend and I ordered Kilkenny. However, most of the beers available weren't Irish. When you go to a place calling itself an Irish pub, you expect to see more Irish beer – otherwise, the place loses its authenticity. We visited on a hot summer day, but the air conditioning wasn't turned on, with the excuse that since it's on the sunny side, it doesn't work well in direct sun. As a result, it was hot and uncomfortable. All in all, the experience was average, leaning toward disappointing.

Great Irish pub with excellent food and reasonable prices. The menu has some variety as well as your classic pub food, however the best part was the atmosphere. The staff are professional, friendly and personable. Lots of TVs to watch your favourite sports and the night we were there they hosted an English comedy night. Two days in Montreaux 🟰 two meals at this welcoming pub!

Not a great experience. Maybe it’s a public holiday, limited staff are working. The pizza is very salty and partly is burnt； and one of the mussel is rotten. The stater we ordered beef and foie gras, and they are both nice.

We had a great experience here! The food was absolutely delicious—we ordered the mixed salad, two types of beef, seabass, and linguine with clams, lemon, and chili. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The beef in particular was perfectly cooked and very tender. The staff were extremely polite, professional, and took the time to explain the menu clearly. Service was quick and efficient, and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. The place itself was cozy and welcoming—perfect for a relaxed meal. Highly recommend!

Amazing fresh food, we really enjoyed the dinner. Very nice decor, solid wood all around. The service is very chill though, so if you’re in a rush or hungry - maybe choose another spot :)

I have eaten here twice now. Both times I was pleased. The food is delicious. I highly recommend the 1820 cocktail for those who prefer something not too sweet - the balance of flavours works so well. The duck in cherry sauce is very tasty too. Well presented without doing overkill. Nice selections of wines. The service was good - the waiter knew about the dishes and could make suggestions. For those who want gluten-free options, I went with a coeliac, and despite being told they only had GF pasta as an option, there were actually a few tasty choices possible.

Update! ❤ 2nd time at the 1820 Bar! We came back and got all we wanted and even more. Guillaume is our barman, and OMG, he is genious. We got one "Over The Wall" "Vesper" (THE James Bond Cocktail) "Black Manhatten" and...... he made a 4th one only for me. I gave him the name and he just did it. E Voilà a "Tattooed MB" Cocktail by Guillaume. With that tiny eatable flower in yellow, just like the color of my skirt. My own Cocktail. And how was it? Magic. Not from this world. Tasty as hell. I will want it again, be sure. And again and again. Well, but, have to admit, it's a strong one. What else.... ❤ ♥️ 💜 ‐------------------------- Hellya! We came in and asked for a White Russian and an Old Fashioned Cocktail - both not on the menue. The Barkeeper offered us a seat at the bar and we got the most lovely taste and beautiful looking cocktails imaginable. Was the first White Russian in my life and I fell in love immediately. Shame we cannot give more stars.... Big thanks to the barkeeper ❤ You made our date unforgettable. We come back one day.

Food was ordinary at best. The chicken Caesar salad had no taste or dressing. Very bland. Like something out of a bag meal that you buy in a grocery. We sent it back. The lamb filet was OK, but only OK. The view from the terrace restaurant is good, looking over the lake. The music was annoying … just “boom, boom, boom” to make the guests nervous and to hurry up and leave. Fortunately, they turned the music volume lower upon my request.

This restaurant is on the edge of 5 stars. View is like a storybook. The service during the jazz festival was a bit chaotic but we enjoyed our burrata appetizer which was beautifully plated and fresh. The fish was fresh and we sampled a glass of Swiss wine which I found a bit too watery and light. You are there for the view, period. Pretty delicious food and friendly faces is icing on the cake. Lovely bar by the lakeside. Food nice. I understand the idea of the disposable cutlery and plates but it’s really hard to cut the bruschetta! Maybe do bite-size toasts instead of one big piece? Staff friendly although we were cut short on our order of drinks because of the weather, even though the storm had passed. I would happily try this place again though.

We loved our evening at Li Lo. Great cocktails in a vibey waterfront location directly on and over the water itself. We ate on the shore part then moved out on to the pontoon to watch the fading sun to a great soundtrack, being given nice things to eat and drink by lovely people!

We visited Li Lo in Montreux in the late afternoon for snacks, just before they started serving full meals. We began with drinks and tapenade, which were delightful. The basil and watermelon cocktail, called the Basil Grande, was incredible. The fruit plate was stunning. The Malakoffs Vaudois (fried cheese balls with truffles) were also delicious. The salmon gravlax was good, albeit a large portion. They had an interesting take on the croque madame, and their side salads were simple and fresh.

My wife and I were looking for a fondue spot local to where we were staying. We found this through Google so ventured to check it out. They fondue plastered over their windows so we assume they would have some. They told us they did not and didn't serve any food. Don't know if it was the time of day or what because there was not explanation. So we had just 2 drinks, a small beer and aperolspritz, cost nearly 18 CHF. The atmosphere was odd, the woman that greated us didn't ask us anything when we seated ourselves, just kinda stood there until we asked for a menu. Even then it's was only the Chicha menu and drink menu. We was anticipating fondue and food. Dogs were welcome but with everything else, we wouldn't recommend this establishment until they figure some things out and advertise their intentions better.

The two young staff members that served me on April 15th, 2025 at around 12:45 had continuously inappropriate conversations and were laughing a lot. Felt like they were making fun of me, too. Worst restaurant experience in my life! STAY AWAY!

We were enticed by the restaurant’s claim of serving the “best cheese fondue in town,” but the reality couldn’t have been more disappointing. The menu was extremely limited — just four choices total. We ordered the cheese fondue and a perch fillet with chips. Things started badly with a complimentary soup that was served cold, with fat floating on top. When we brought it to the staff’s attention, they simply reheated it without any apology. The soup was still unappetizing — overly salty with strange floating egg bits. The cheese fondue was far from exceptional, completely underwhelming. The perch fillet looked unappealing and was served with greasy, soggy chips. To make matters worse, the restaurant itself was in poor condition. It was poorly maintained, with visible signs of neglect — including a partial falling ceiling board. This was hands down the worst meal and overall dining experience of our entire trip. We truly regretted coming here and would not recommend it to anyone.

Great place where shisha is available for 25 chf and it has the view if the lake where you can enjoy your drink and shisha. A must visit for all the shisha lovers. Lovely service and great hospitality. The shisha quality is also great , I had tried the forest berries flavour hookah which was very refreshing and had taken a rose wine. Although the cocktail was not upto the mark, had taken a cosmopolitan too but it didnt taste that well.

I can only assume the other reviews are fake - my wife and I had an awful restaurant / food experience. The service was slow, the food just had overcooked McDonalds fries and fish that only tasted of salt. It was one of the lowest quality "restaurant" experiences I've had in every aspect. Despite all the above, the experience would still have been acceptable with the relatively low prices, until one of the waitresses swore at me in French (perhaps mistakenly believing I could not understand French as an English tourist)... I've actually never been sworn at at any restaurant before in my life. This was just after my card was declined twice and I asked to try one more time. Very unnecessary and pretty shocking.

Only rating the behaviour of the waiter which I found absolutely inappropriate. I wanted to pay with a card (maestro) and very honestly I did not pick-up that the minimum amount was 20.-. It’s a sports bar. Had fondue which was good but plain. Couldn’t see many options on menu and was offered nothing else after the fondue so left a bit hungry. Many choices for drinks though and staff was kind. Right on the lakefront.

Why Montreux restaurant has potential with its trendy and modern decor, but unfortunately, my experience here was very disappointing. As a fairly new establishment, it seems they are struggling with serious management and service issues. The main problem was the incredibly slow service. We were a party of 8, and the food took forever to arrive, with each dish coming out at different times—some of us had finished eating before others even received their meals. The waitstaff, while friendly, were clearly overwhelmed and understaffed, leading to delays in everything from getting drinks to cleaning the table. At one point, a waiter was cleaning a table behind us with loud clattering of silverware and dishes, adding to the chaotic atmosphere. There was no visible floor manager to coordinate seating or assist the staff, leaving the waiters scrambling and unable to provide even basic service. The table wasn’t cleaned on time, drink refills were nonexistent, and no one checked on us due to the sheer lack of organization. This level of mismanagement is unacceptable. I left extremely dissatisfied and cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone until they address these critical issues. Sadly, I won’t be coming back.

Why Montreux is a spacious restaurant very close, within 100 meters, from several major hotels. My husband and I enjoyed a sumptious meal of lamb, pizza and a dessert via La Fourchette, as this restaurant is a participent in festivals that offer discounted rates. The interior decor is excellent. It has a long bar. It opens at 6.30 pm in the evening and we were the first customers. The place was full of guests during dinner on the 31st of October. We would recommend this place to anyone who loves European cuisines. We also had red wine, which is not included in The Fork's festival. This place has the most atrocious service. After being seated for 1 hour and placing the order we still had not got food for over an hour. And they insisted on serving all at once and we were still hungry.,worst restaurant with no clue how to run food service and drinks promptly and in sequence. Lucky I will never visit this restaurant ever again. Save your meal dollars unless you are ok with worst service possible

They messed up the drink and food order, they served starter with the main course, while the pizza was cold and not good. Shrimps weren’t also good at all. And finally they messed up the receipt. Tho the cocktail was okey! So maybe a place for drinking only!

Was in montreux last week for vacation and was twice in this bar. the service is super nice and accommodating and the food extremely good for a good price. if you are there nearby you should definitely eat and drink there.

We popped in this bar for a quick drink because it was raining. We stayed for hours and drank all night with Stephane (owner) and his friends, Lorenzo, Sofia and Alphonso. He made us the most delicious fondue. We became "family" and had the best time. They were all so kind and fun to hang out like a local. Our favorite spot so far!
