We were really looking forward to visiting this bar, and in many ways, it didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere was fantastic, the live music was excellent, and the drink and food options were solid. Unfortunately, our experience was completely ruined by one employee whose behavior was shockingly unprofessional. We had some feedback regarding the service when trying to order more drinks, and instead of handling it with professionalism, this employee became condescending and outright combative. It reached a point where we felt uncomfortable and ultimately decided to leave. What made it even worse was learning from locals that this behavior isn’t an isolated incident—apparently, this individual regularly drinks on shift and has a reputation for embarrassing customers he doesn’t get along with. It’s truly unfortunate because this bar has so much potential. However, as a paying customer who chose to spend part of our vacation here, it was incredibly disappointing to be treated this way. If the ownership wants to protect their reputation and retain business, they need to seriously reconsider keeping an employee who is actively driving people away. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because no one should have to experience what we did.

Nice spot with a really good atmosphere, especially if you enjoy wine and live music. The live music made the night even better and gave the place a great vibe. Service was solid and attentive.

What a fab, chilled and friendly little bar. The wines were on point and the build your own cheese board just hit right. Danny was so welcoming and down to earth, made the place.

Cliff Crawford was AMAZING. I had a beer and the lady some wine. We sat on the patio and listened to the music. 🎶 had a really great time.

A small, eclectic venue that calls itself a "cigar bar". Yes, you can buy a cigar here, but there wasn't a very big variety. Best to bring your own. They did have a good variety of beer and wine. I had to stand in line for your drinks. There was no table service. The live music was great. They set the perfect atmosphere for a chill end to the day. I will be back. But next time, I'll bring my own cigar.

We were excited to come here after reading all the reviews but were sadly disappointed. They have an extensive wine selection, but none from Texas. The selection of cigars was limited. The inside atmosphere was cozy and intimate and we were looking forward to relaxing with our cigar and wine. Imagine our surprise when we were informed we had to go outside to smoke because they don’t have the necessary ventilation system…. What?!? How can you advertise being a “cigar bar” when you can’t have a cigar at the bar? The outside live entertainment wasn’t bad, but was really too loud to have a conversation. (No, we’re not old; just don’t want to use our ‘outside voice’ for a conversation.). Needless to say, it was not the relaxing time we anticipated. Won’t be back.

It is a great place to sit around with friends and enjoy a good wine or beer. The bartender was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. The patio setting was really nice but a little hot, but there was plenty of indoor seating to give relief from the Texas heat. Would recommend.

I will say, the atmosphere of this place is absolutely amazing and the drink quality and selection is absolutely fantastic; also my bartender Carlos had an amazing personality and was very knowledgeable about drinks. With that being said, The bartender, Erin, was extremely rude and dismissive, giving me one of the worst attitudes I’ve ever encountered at a bar. I usually enjoy Fredericksburg’s friendly atmosphere, but this was the opposite. Customer service matters, and I hope management addresses this.

This place has the best atmosphere, cocktails and shareables. The bar keep, Carlos was extremely knowledgeable about cocktails, and the nicest “Friend” we’ve ever met. Danielle was a spectacular and very professional waitress that was a delight to interact with. I 100% recommend this spot.

This is an amazing craft cocktail bar! A hidden gem. Authentic mixology bar tenders do craft cocktails to order or from menu. Erin and Carlos are fantastic if you get a chance to talk to them at the bar. Comfy seating, relaxed vibe, nothing crazy. Mature place to enjoy a drink. Images include 2 off menu drinks crafted just for myself and my husband. Carlos even shared the story of the drink's parent recipe. Delicious and highly recommend. Erin even made me a vieux care (an off menu item). These bartenders are true to the craft. Cute patio as well.

“78624 The Bar” is a hidden gem that truly impressed my wife and me. The ambiance is elegant, with stunning oil paintings adorning the limestone walls and a polished handmade wood arch framing the bar. The outdoor lounge is a peaceful oasis, surrounded by red brick, a koi pond, and ample seating. We were delighted by the drink menu. My bourbon old fashioned was perfectly balanced, and my wife raved about the spicy Marfa Sunset. The small bites were delicious and satisfying, and the zingy pretzel was a delightful addition. “78624 The Bar” is a super chic and inviting spot that we'll definitely be returning to. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a stylish and enjoyable evening out, or a mid-day stomping ground. Salute!

Stop in for a leisurely drink and conversation in this upscale bar with great lighting, comfortable seating, and beautiful art adorning every square inch of the walls. Tasty drink options, great staff and an adorable bathroom make this bar a must if you're on Main St. Find Ruth, she's the absoulte best server ever! Made sure we were happy and well hydrated before leaving :)

We ended a fantastic day in Fredericksburg here at this bar. Carlos was bring the bar making fantastic craft mixology level cocktails, both on menu and off! Service was fantastic, atmosphere relaxing and comfortable with ample soft chair seating and a nice vibe. No loud music or ruckus, just a classy little craft cocktail bar in downtown Fredericksburg!! Highly recommended. Get Carlos to make your drinks.

This is an experience. The food was absolutely outstanding! Kyle was awesome with service. I never felt neglected but I never felt bothered either. His timing was perfect. The food was what dreams are made of. The lobster boudain balls were just enough to whet the appetite. They were melt in your mouth good. The steak I had was perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy. The Garlic Beranaise sauce on the side enhanced the flavor of the steak even more. The Smashed Potatoes and Three Cheese Grits were phenomenal as well. I really enjoyed my experience here and there is no doubt that I will be back.

We all LOVED Cabernet Grill! We tried so many different dishes and literally loved them all! I am so happy we came here! My favorite thing was probably the boudin balls. The crab cakes were also so good! Pistachio cheesecake- a must! Honestly you can’t go wrong here!!

Husband got a $62 steak and he was not too impressed….he said it just lacked flavor….but the horseradish sauce he mentioned was EPIC!!! My flounder was pretty good but the sweet mashed potatoes were THE BOMB!!!!! Our waiter was super diligent and helpful with menu. I was happy to receive a birthday cheesecake and ordered an additional slice of pistachio cheesecake that was out-of-this-WORLD!!!!!!

We were unable to get a reservation but came relatively early to dinner service and were able to get walk-in patio seating within 15 minutes of waiting. Even while you wait, the restaurant is part of the Cotton Gin Village lodgings, which makes you feel like you’ve entered a small town in and of itself. We had the ten-ounce strip steak with three cheese grits, pork medallions with market veggies, and the lemon-honey-golden milk crème brûlée, which was alllll amazing. We were also given complementary “shots” of the roasted carrot soup, which was delicious!

Great place for a relaxing and delicious meal. Chicken fried ribeye was outstanding. Took the Mrs for birthday celebration, the card signed by the staff waiting at our table was a nice touch. They topped it all off with a delicious slice of cheesecake. Great ambiance, server was very attentive without hovering, or being annoying. Well done!

Delightful dinner at Cabernet Grill this evening! Very cool place, unique venue, old country Texas style. Cabernet Grill has been serving up great grub for 20+ years. There’s a reason! Christopher was our waiter tonight… well done! Complimentary sample of the carrot soup was very good! We opened with the wedge salad… on point! Throughout the meal we enjoyed Texas’ own Heath Vineyards sparkling wine… delicious! We next tried the magic mushrooms… very different, but we went with the waiter’s rec on that. Amazing! For entrees we shared the NY strip, smothered in gorgonzola and mushrooms, and the sautéed flounder in cream sauce, crawfish tails and capers. Both were over the top good! The blackberry crisp/Mexican vanilla ice cream dessert perfectly rounded out the meal. A small dish of complimentary chocolate mole covered almonds was awesome. Cozy, comfortable place, great and friendly staff, off the chart food, 5-stars all day everyday! Highly recommend Cabernet Grill!

Came here after seeing the reviews - it does not do the place justice. The location is gorgeous! We arrived a little early to our reservations so we followed the path to the lounge and had a delicious cocktail. We got to our table and the dining room is very rustic and warm with a large fireplace. A great date night spot. Our server was knowledgeable and extremely friendly. We started with the fried deviled eggs and wow didn’t think I could love deviled eggs more - but clearly I can. My husband and I both got a ribeye steak and a side of drop biscuits. When I tell you that was one of the best cooked steaks we’ve ever had - it was. It was cooked to absolute perfection. The biscuits were perfectly crisp, warm and fluffy. My only regret was we were too full to get dessert. I’ll be dreaming about this place. Highly recommend!

This place is good (but read the last part): - It's east of the center of town and parking is more available than the places on Main Street. - Outdoor eating area is nice, and they allow dogs. - Prices are around $15-$20, which is reasonable for Fredericksburg breakfast, sandwiches and salads. - Fresh, quality ingredients, and delicious food. BUT... - The service was far too slow, and we had to ask for everything (straws, spoons for coffee, clearing dishes, the bill, etc.) and wait and wait. - The flies outside are awful. They're aggressive about getting to the food on the table, and they're aren't many fans outside to blast them away. They either need traps or significantly more fans in the outdoors eating area. Give it a try, but make sure you're under or in front of a fan of you eat outside. And expect to have to manage your server aggressively. But the food is delicious, so I hope they can solve the service and fly issues.

We discovered Sunset Grill through a quick Google search and were so glad we did. We ended up coming here two days in a row! The banana French toast was hands down one of the best we’ve ever had, and the portion was generous and satisfying. The restaurant is tucked away from the main tourist area, making it feel calm and relaxed. The service was friendly and fast, and we didn’t have to wait for a table either morning. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great breakfast spot in town!

What a delightful find - will certainly come again! Generous portions and full of flavor - even the side of yogurt was flavorful and bright with fresh fruit - granola and a drizzle of honey on top! The eggs Benedict were amazing and when I added bacon - 🥓 it was amazing ( they didn’t skimp on the bacon and it was thick cut perfectly cooked!) Next time I’ll try a mimosa with breakfast before walking the Main Street shops! Thanks for a great brunch to fuel our adventures for the day!!

A little busy, parking a challenge, but only about 30 minute wait. Beautiful day for patio. Once ordered foid came really quick. Wonderful and now that we know routine even easier. They have a VIP registry for this and other restaurants (Hayden) but staff didn't know anything about it

Great atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. VERY quick service and, without a doubt, some of the cleanest bathrooms in Gillespie County. Menu has a lot of variety in addition to the standard bacon and eggs dishes. Food portion sizes were adequate. I had the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. The potatoes were a little overdone but nothing terrible. The biscuit and eggs were spot on. My wife had the French toast with caramelized bananas. It was on the sweet side but not prohibitively so. Total with two juices was $37 before tip. Absolutely recommend for breakfast.

Ordered traditional breakfast and Carmelized Bananas over French toast. Had house coffee as well. Everything was delicious 😋. Waitstaff were friendly and professional. 10/10 absolutely recommend to try it for breakfast. Note that the entrance isnt super well marked but there is a small parking lot in the back and you enter through there.

Some people are made to serve, & our server was the epitome of that. A God-given heart to make people happy. Ordered: 1. French toast - delectable 2. Fruit parfait - nothing like I've ever eaten before 3. Breakfast platter - perfect 4. Orange juice - exactly what we needed 5. Coffee- hot & never-ending The perfect brunch spot & pet friendly. We took our dog and he was offered a bowl of water right away. It's not off of main, but that might be the best part about it. Coming back every time!

This restaurant is arguably the fanciest restaurant in Fredericksburg, the closest thing to “fine dining” they have. However, this is Fredericksburg so don’t let that intimidate you - the restaurant is upscale but still affordable & easy enough to get a reservation at even on a holiday. There is no dress code, we had lunch here on Mother’s Day and saw plenty of shorts & sandals. It’s easily accessible from the main shopping district, once you arrive at the building just go down the stairs on the left - the restaurant itself is underground in the basement. Note that it is dark, moody lighting and loud but pleasant music. There is comfy bench seating and the service at the host stand was great, he found our reservation and walked us to our table quickly. Our waitress was a little slow and confused, definitely not fine dining table service but it was all fine. The menu selection for lunch was limited, one daily special and then just casual finger foods - sandwiches, pizza, salads and soups. They did have a vegetarian sandwich and pizza options which I really appreciated. Our appetizer was fine, we did the Mediterranean snack plate. I wish they had some higher end or trendier apps and sides or more hot fork and knife food options for lunch. Even adding fries to the menu would have been a big improvement. Overall none of the food was really impressive but the ambiance was worth it, considering the lack of upscale and luxury dining in Fredericksburg we will definitely be returning to try out dinner.

This place lived up to its food reviews. My daughters had Quiche both said delicious. The Phillip was cooked perfect n delicately. My Ruben sandwich was perfectly made. Marble bread was fresh n sliced perfect to allow bread to corn beef ratio come through. The corn beef was lean yet tender and flavorful and just right amount. The only knock is there signature dishes (didn’t get so maybe unfair) because I saw it coming out and only 2 piece of chicken for $34 .. that’s too expensive . But if people buying it good for them. An inviting atmosphere nice people watching. Service was attentive.

Lovely brunch at Vaudeville this weekend. Definitely recommend getting there early as it is very popular with limited seating. I expected the menu to have more brunch items but it really seemed like a lunch menu with very few breakfast items. However, the Sunday fried chicken special was delightful, and I’m glad we got it. The chicken was well-seasoned and crispy with very flavorful potatoes and greens on the side. They need to add a Bloody Mary to the brunch menu and take care of the fly problem downstairs but it certainly wasn’t keeping any guests away. The decor and atmosphere are elegant and tasteful making this a great option for your Fredericksburg getaway weekend. Cheers!

*dog friendly* beautiful little eatery (downstairs) with a cute lil shop on the first floor. The pork belly tacos are delicious and with the eggplant purée- wow! And for dessert the pistachio tiramisu is a must! Four stars because the service was not that great and our waitress definitely rushed us out.

Exceptionally great food with the quality of ingredients far above my normal 5*. The beef carpaccio was very good with capers, salty olives, aoli, micro greens and a crispy assortment of crackers. Perfect with a red glass of wine. I will be back. Up-scale atmosphere and service!

My husband and I arrived 20 minutes early for our Saturday night reservation hoping to get a cocktail at the bar before dinner, unfortunately the hostess said that they "don't allow waiting at the bar". I took that to mean that the bar is also by reservation only, but we were a bit off put by that. We were seated shortly after our reservation time and from that point forward we had a 10/10 experience. The restaurant itself is very dimly lit and vibey, perfect for a date night. Based on reviews I was a little worried that you were required to order from the pre-fixe menu on Friday & Saturday nights no matter the size of your party but that turned out not to be the case. To start, we shared a margarita pizza which more closely resembled a regular cheese pizza but was absolutely delicious. For our mains I ordered the grilled veggie salad and added the confit chicken and my husband ordered the duck confit. Duck confit is one of his all time favorite dishes and this one ranked as one of the best ones he has ever had. He let me have *one* bite and it really was divine. Overall we were really impressed with the food and would certainly recommend Vaudeville to any friends going to Fredericksburg.

We split a delicious 😋 French Dip & I still couldn’t finish it all. The waitress was very attentive & the food great. The only drawback was once the restaurant became busy it was very noisy & hard to hear. We were sat at the front of the restaurant. Perhaps it is quieter further back. They sat a very large party of 12 & the balance of their party at a round table of 8. All the woman were there together. We wish they would have set us further back since we were the 2nd table to arrive on 8/5. Also, our bill was $110 & the two couples each split a meal, plus 2 people had a cup of soup. Two of us drank water, a Coke & a Mimosa.

I love the service & atmosphere of Altdorf Biergarten. The elderly German waitress was really nice & knowledgeable about the menu items. She walked me through the entire restaurants & even showed me where to take pictures. The restaurant was built on a very old well that they sealed with tempered glass so you can stand on top & look directly down its depths. The lighting inside is a wonderful mix of sunlight, eminating through drawn laced curtained wimdows, & soft warm glow of chandelier light. Beautiful western themed paintings lined the rugged antique stone walls of this ancient spacious building. The restrooms are always clean & service was very professional & prompt. There is also a very large & well organized outdoor area spread out against a beautiful landscape mural. THAT BEING SAID, the food is pretty bland, mediocre, & the portion sizes were a bit small for the price. I had the fried pickles for appetizer which were pretty good, but again kinda skimpy for $11. The Jagerschnitzel, with potato salad & red cabbage & Zwiebelschnitzel with spatzle pasta & red cabbage were both pretty bland & came out luke warm. I had their burger & fries on another trip there & it was a bit better, but nothing extraordinary. Their presentation & plating is pretty good though & adds to the experience & atmosphere dining there.

Very minor wait when we arrived. It was perfect weather for outdoor seating. Our waiter was friendly, helpful, but sort of disappeared towards the end of our meal . Dessert took almost 30 min to come out... it was good though! Everything else was tasty and we would definitely come back k again. 🍻

Had jager schnitzel for the first time and was blown away! Combined with the live music and sausage, the restaurant served a German experiencing befitting the oktoberfest.

Absolutely delicious! The chicken schnitzel was crispy and tender, and the sauerkraut balls were the perfect starter—hot, tangy, and full of flavor. Service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere on the patio was relaxed and welcoming. A must-visit in Fredericksburg!

During a recent weekend trip to Fredericksburg, we stumbled upon Altered Biergarten on a Friday night when we weren’t sure where to dine. As someone from Germany, I was a bit nervous about whether the restaurant would meet my expectations. Despite a bit of a wait for our table, the experience was saved by our server, Corbin, who turned our evening around with his humor and genuine warmth. We started the meal with currywurst and fried pickles, and they were absolutely amazing - a perfect introduction to the menu. For the main course, I had the Wiener schnitzel. While it wasn’t the best schnitzel I’ve had, it was definitely not the worst I’ve experienced here in the States. One of the highlights for me was finding a Radler on the menu - a refreshing choice I truly appreciated, even if it might raise a few eyebrows back home! Overall, Corbin’s fantastic service and lively personality made our visit memorable, and I’m really glad we decided to give Altered Biergarten a try. Thanks Corbin for making our night so special and fun. It’s a great spot to enjoy some unique twists on traditional favorites with a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended! 🍻🥰

The service was "ok" but we don't require much either. The food was amazing and huge portions. My daughter and I could have split the BLAT sandwich and it was packed full of turkey and bacon. But we took the rest to the hotel and had a delicious late night snack. The flavors were so tasty. We will be back to try something else the next time we are in town. The little shop is cute too

My wife and I are locals who have eaten at the previous location for this business many times. Was letting everyone else crowd the doors at first opening of this location. Nothing beats the ambiance of the original, but this was well done. Food,wife, and I both had the daily special- meatloaf with mashed potatoes (skin on) and gravy,as well as fresh green beans. Yummy! Coconut cream pie for dessert. Will try again. New,young,waitress. Hope she gets better! Tips are crucial!

Always a treat to eat here, the Cobb salad kills every time, the chicken salad sandwich was absolutely incredible and the service is always top notch. A must if you are coming to Fredericksburg.

We arrived about 2 pm - an hour before closing. The server wasn't real friendly. Turned her back and walked away while answering a question. My husband's burger came before my pizza. Pizza didn't arrive until he was half done. Only checked on our drinks (which were near empty) when we were just about done with the meal. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. With all the restaurants to choose from, we'll pick another place next time.

Went here again on Thursday July 4th. We have been coming here for many years. Most of that time it was in the warehouse next to Carol Hicks, which was a great location. But the new building is greatly improved with the addition of air conditioning! We both love the food here and most often get breakfast. Service is always great, even when super busy. Prices are very reasonable. This is one of the best places in Fredericksburg for breakfast and lunch.

My girl's really enjoy their sandwiches I usually get their pizza they could work on their crust a bit and beef up the toppings a bit.

They had a chicken with veggies soup that was Delicious! My cousin got a cup and then ordered an additional bowl bc it was so good. My sister really liked her house special salad. The woerner works pizza was very salty especially from the olives. My friend didn't like his luckey pie pizza. My other friend did enjoy his margherita pizza.

Prometheus pizza is served from a food truck and they have a cute little seating area with picnic tables and lights. The pizzas are kind of small and the site says it’s a medium size (12”). We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a margarita pizza and they were pretty good. My wife and her friends loved the pizza when they came a couple of months ago. On this trip, it was just OK. The flour/crust has an interesting flavor to it, and I can’t put my finger on what it is. It was good, but not great for me. Overall, the staff is nice and the location is off of Main Street, but nice because it’s not that busy and you can sit down and relax some trees. Overall a thumbs up and a recommendation.

Really good Neapolitan style pizza. These 12inch pizzas are elevated with ingredients and bake. If you like medium to thinner crust and well done under side the pizza is great. The pepperoni and cheese are great classic choices just be aware the pepperoni is highly greasy. Enjoy!

I decided to try Prometheus Pizza Food Truck after seeing some great reviews, but it didn’t quite live up to the expectations. The pizzas were small (around 12” or less) with a very thin crust that was overcooked and quite crunchy- borderline burnt. We ordered two Margherita pizzas, but were told they only had enough basil for one. No discount or substitution was offered, which felt a bit off, especially given the very limited vegetarian options. At nearly $20 per pizza, it felt overpriced for the portion and quality. While the flavor was decent, the overall experience left a lot to be desired.

I would like to say I am a very well traveled person, and after going to Italy and trying their iconic wood fired pizzas...I must say Prometheus is the closest (and may I add equal and above level) of a traditional Italian pizza. The flavors of the pizza, melded perfectly with their perfect crispy dough recipe. After speaking with the chef, you get to understand how each ingredient was studied and picked to be the finest, and that is what quality you taste when you bite into it. From the five pizzas I ordered each one exceeded expectations, and kept you wanting more. I am glad to say I visited this pizza place and encourage anyone reading my review to visit as well, because not much other places compare to the authenticity that was found here.

Update: After leaving the original 2 star review below (and contacting Prometheus Pizza via email), I received an immediate response from the manager/owner, expressing his apologies, and wanting to correct the situation. He offered us a refund, but more importantly noted that he would address the issue with his employees so as to prevent this from happening with future customers. Mistakes happen, especially when employees aren't trained properly or paying attention. It happens. What's important is to have a leader/ manager who will make it right. I appreciate his prompt reply and his sincere effort to make his customers happy. Original review: Flavor, seasonings were good. We ordered the margarita pizza and another one with pepperoni. We like the crisp, cracker like crust they have versus thicker pizza crusts . However, one of the pizzas was burnt (totally black) all along the top edges and the bottom. We picked up the pizza after a long day on the road and were famished. Unfortunately, we could only eat a couple slices of it. We plan to talk with management so that they can make adjustments to cooking times.

Great pizza and great service! We got the 'Zhazilla 2 nights in a row and the Roxanne on the second night as well. Also the Ceasar Salad was one of the best we've had in a while, I think they use real anchovies. Order online ahead of time to skip the wait. They do get busy during peak hours. The owner is so nice, I accidentally broke a giant glass bottle of hand sanitizer and they just smiled and said it's ok. I felt terrible and hope this review makes up for my folly.

After a long day on the road we had high hopes for this highly rated establishment. We ordered a margherita pizza and two caesar salads via phone, and were told it would be ready in 40 minutes. We arrived 45 minutes after the order was placed and the pizza was still in the oven. This was fine as these things happen and they were nice enough to bring it out to us as we waited in the car. When we finally arrived home with our 50 dollar order (including tax and a 20% tip) I was less than impressed with what we received. The pizza was more than lacking in mozzarella and soggy and limp from the excessive sauce. I picked up a piece and the sauce and cheese slid right off the crust. I was going to rely on the salad to stave off hunger, but that was a disappointment as well. The lettuce was bitter and the croutons tasted like burned rye bread. I know better than to expect a 5 star experience from a small food truck, but I did expect more for 50 dollars and an hour wait.

What a beautiful restaurant in the heart of Fredericksburg Tx! Ok, they have indoor seating, outdoor seating, a bar and a coffee just across. They have good service and the food is delicious. Their decor is gorgeous and the patio is fun and cute. They do have an open kitchen (which I love) This place is perfect for brunch, a date or dinner, I would definitely come back here. Plates are big, you won’t leave hungry!

Recommended to us, and it was okay. The cornbread with the fruit preserves was nice. The Onion Bacon jam was interesting but didn’t work as well. The steak & eggs were great, and the table rated the dessert as the best thing we had. A member of our party tried the schnitzel and waffles (didn’t love it, very crispy and dry). So all-in-all, a mixed bag.

Cute indoor/outdoor resturant! Very Hill country themed indoor with a comfortable outdoor seating/eating area. We went right at open on a Friday and were seated instantly. Lunch was delish and fast, drinks were refreshing. Menu had a good variety and changes with lunch/dinner/weekend Brunch. Plan on returning in the future!

First off the restaurant is beautifully decorated and designed! The service here was friendly from the front desk to our waiter. The food was very fresh, perfectly cooked, and the drinks one point. Highly recommend getting a cocktail and the goat cheese appetizer!

I had a lovely brunch at Hill & Vine during my weekend visit to Fredericksburg, and I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was charming, the service was kind, and the food was delicious from start to finish. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing and flavorful meal. I will definitely be coming back on my next trip.

Overall experience was good, had to wait on our food for a bit but was in a large group. It can get very cloudy in the restaurant which makes this place not ideal for 1-1 dates or larger groups. Needs more acoustic treatment. Cornbread was phenomenal, but I can’t recommend getting the chicken sandwich. It had pieces so hard it scraped by gums.

Cute interior. Very farm to table vibes. Looks to have plentiful outdoor seating, smaller indoor and a small private room. Went on a Wednesday late afternoon so very little crowd. Was able to be sat immediately. Emma our server was great. We got there right at 4 so they had initially given us the lunch menu but had to switch to a dinner menu. Can I just say everything was great but the Meatballs stole the show for me! Great flavor. The Schnitzel was fried perfectly and the steak we think was sous vide style because it was so tender and no grill marks. Would definitely come back here when we come down to Fredericksburg.

4 Stars We decided to check out Granite House Lounge after hearing all the buzz—and overall, it lived up to the hype. We started with drinks: I had an Old Fashioned that was decent, and my wife enjoyed her glass of wine. For appetizers, we had the bang bang shrimp and fried green beans. The shrimp were damn good—fried to perfection and paired with a magical chili sauce that stole the show. The green beans were crispy and the aioli was a nice touch. For our entrées, we tried the fish and chips and the chicken fried steak. My wife’s fish and chips were solid—the redfish was tasty and perfectly fried, and the double-fried fries with garlic pepper seasoning were a nice twist. The chicken fried steak was a bit of a letdown—big portion, but it just lacked flavor, though I did appreciate the egg on top. Overall, we enjoyed the experience. The vibe is great, the service was on point, and the menu has something for everyone. Worth a visit!

Really cute spot. The wait time wasn’t long for prime time. Our favorites were the appetizers and the desserts. The drinks are great too We tried the blackberry margaritas - 10/10 Mary’s lavender - 9/10 Spinach dip - 10/10 ⭐️ Blue cheese burger - 7.5/10 Banana foster - 10/10⭐️ The service was also really great. All of the staff were kind and very quick. I would recommend coming !

There are so many things this restaurant is doing right, and it’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into the overall experience. Although there was an hour-long wait, it passed quickly thanks to a friendly waitress who kept our drinks coming and the ample seating available for guests waiting to be seated. The restaurant is set in a charming older home that’s been beautifully converted into a dining space. I really appreciated how they maintained the character of the home through thoughtful paint choices and tasteful décor that honors its history. While in Fredericksburg, I tried several espresso martinis and this place easily served the best one. The menu centers around seafood, and we started with the fried calamari, which was outstanding. For the main course, I had the special of the day: beef tenderloin tips covered in a rich, flavorful Cajun sauce. Both dishes were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. This spot was recommended by a local, and after dining here, I completely understand why it’s so highly regarded.

I was so obsessed with the Granite House Lounge when me and my husband came here on vacation. The restaurant is gorgeous and romantic. We were there for our 10 year anniversary and there was another couple there for their anniversary too! Our waitress was so sweet and attentive. The food was insanely good, me and my husband ended up splitting the pasta special and then getting the banana foster bread pudding. I highly recommend both!

We just went here for our 1 yr anniversary and LOVED it so much. The food was really yummy, our server did a wonderful job and everyone we talked to was warm and friendly. Highly recommend!

We had a group and we split shrimp and grits, the beef tips, and the chicken marsala. For dessert. We split pea brownie and the bananas Foster bread pudding. They were all amazing but the shrimp and grits were my favorite! Drinks were so good! Server was so helpful and gave her too recommendations which were the items above. Will eat here again!

Had the onion rings as appetizer, the house salad was really nice. Chicken fried steak and seafood ravioli were amazing. Our best meal out in Fredericksburg to date. Phenomenal

For a fun time on a Friday or Saturday night the Velvet Lounge is a great place. The staff here is awesome and most can sing very well. The best is just listening and watching people do karaoke. Advice here is get there early to get a seat or reserve or a table. It gets packed.

I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Rachel at the Velvet Lounge, and let me just say — she was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we walked in, her friendly and bubbly personality lit up the room. She was incredibly attentive, charismatic, and made us feel right at home with her warm energy and genuine care. But the real surprise? She had a stunning singing voice that completely blew us away! We weren’t expecting a performance, but when she sang, the whole place paused — it was THAT good. And to top it all off, she spells her name just like mine — such a fun coincidence! It was truly a privilege to be looked after by someone so passionate and full of life. Every time we visit Fredericksburg, The Velvet Lounge is a must! The energy, the vibes, the karaoke—everything is top notch. Our server, Rachel was absolutely amazing. She’s very sweet, kind and respectful! She even let us try out a new pasta, which was very delicious!! Rachel complimented my singing, even though it was not the best LOL! But hey, that’s what karaoke is for. Come on down to velvet lounge it is worth your time.

The Velvet Lounge was an awesome time! The karaoke was a blast — DJ Raychill kept the energy up all night, and Hannah and Amanda made sure everyone was having fun and feeling welcome. Great vibes, great people, and a perfect spot for a night out. Definitely coming back!

We were a large group 10 plus and were asked to move from a reserved table which is understandable. The next part was not acceptable being told not to STAND any place near the table was just dumb. This place has limited space so in a way they told us to get out so we did! I do not recommend this place without a reservation on a table for the royal treatment. Otherwise 0 out of 10.

We have coming here for awhile and this place is always where we end our night. The lady that run the bar are so friendly and welcoming. So come in and grab a drink and stay for awhile or take it to go!

I'm so STOKED that's there's a metal bar on main street. I honestly didn't know the until I was walking by it. Nice chill atmosphere, good rock/metal music, and cool bartenders.

If we could give 10 stars we would. My husband is from Germany and the second we stepped inside, a HUGE grin appeared on his face as his head moved to the sound of the beat (German heavy metal). Definitely not your typical tourist wine bar. You can go to plenty of those on Main St. We were only going to have "1 drink". Several beers later we kept going down memory lane as we wondered around the bar looking at memorabilia from concerts in Germany. These were authentic items. The owners decorated the bar with with their ticket stubs, posters and other items. My husband enjoyed talking to Carole about the music scene past and present. So glad we stopped here. Definitely will visit again.

Had a great time here last night. I was very excited to see a rock pub and patiently waited for it to open at 6pm. As per expectations it was dark inside with loads of metal memorabilia on all the walls. Even better it was playing great metal music all night. Interesting chats with the owner, from Luxembourg (there's an interesting story there), as well as a really nice guy called Adrian and his family. As I'd forgotten all my music when we left for our North American tour, it was great to top up my metal batteries. Good selection of beers of which several were dark. Skull toilet brush holders just put the metal icing on the thrashing cake.

No food available drinks were great. Rock bar and the music is a little loud but fun. Vicky the bartender was fabulous helpful great suggestions of places to go on a rainy Wednesday night in Fredericksburg.

Awesome bar in Fredricksbergh. Little hole in the wall that's dark and all about heavy metal. The two sisters who run the place are from Germany and are big metal fans like myself. There is metal memoriblia all over the walls and a steady stream of metal coming over the speakers. Love it can't wait to go back

Stopped in for a few beers after all the walking around town midday. Great people. Bar staff are cool and never miss a beat. Had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Kristen (hope I've spelled her name correctly) and her friend Jojo. They were brilliant. Welcomed us in, chatted while we sat. Had a great time.

Pioneer is an awesome bar in Fredericksburg. One of the few places that are open past midnight. They serve a wide variety of drinks and are very friendly. The live music is good and keeps a nice vibe in the bar going. They have very nice replica pumpkins for Halloween.

Had a great time with my grandson. Alex served us and made some wonderful drinks and some awesome smoked old fashions! Definitely recommend for a nice social bar experience!

You can never go wrong, Pioneer is located in Fredericksburg down town. Live music plenty of sitting spot and the bartenders have it going own, very knowledgeable and creative with mixology, but this Texas fun bar also have there selections of great beers. You will meet lots of travelers and locals having a great time. The staff was friendly, respectful and fast. I enjoyed my time here ☺

What a great place to come chill and have some great food. Our server was amazing. The fried mushrooms were the biggest best appetizer ever. My dish was delicious. The meatballs were so good. I love coming here. It was such a great experience. We'll definitely be back to try more delicious meals. This made our Fredericksburg experience wonderful ❤️

I really enjoyed the potroast and mashed potatoes. We also got the potato pancakes which were pretty good. I tried my hubby’s chicken and it was yummy. The atmosphere in the dining room is so so. They have a couple of pretty paintings and some neat cuckoo clocks.

We loved this restaurant! The service was awesome and the food was excellent. There was no wait time and we were given a choice of tables. We chose the open windows, which was nice and airy. The decor was fitting for the restaurant and really reminded us of the renaissance. We will definitely return!

We ordered the Schnitzel Wiener Art and the Bratwurst platters. We chose red cabbage and the German potato salad for one of the entrees and sauerkraut and potato salad for the other entree. The sides were just average. Both plates came with a warm dinner roll and some butter. The Schnitzel was nicely breaded and fried to a golden crisp. The pork cutlet was a generous portion and tasty. The bratwurst was also a large portion but was somewhat bland. A few packets of Gulden mustard were offered. Some mustard made in-house would have been a nicer touch. They had a decent selection of beers and wines. We got the H.P. Dunkel on draft and a glass of red zin, both of which paired nicely with the meal. We were too stuffed to have any dessert but they do serve apple strudel and German chocolate cake. The service was attentive and friendly. Prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was rustic but comfortable.

We ordered the Jager schnitzel and German meatballs with Hofbrau Helles for beer. The food was definitely better than the other German restaurant across the street. The theming is nice but I think the other German restaurant edges them out in that department.

Had great meal. Great Tex-German jalapeño cheese sausage. It was really nice. Kraut was good too. Potatoes and bread was good/normal. Good beer (I like Warstiener). Kids chicken was spot on too.

Get the ChickenSchnitzel. You will love it. Also, the frozen peach Bellini was great! Our waitress was super nice and we were seating right by the window but the street so it was fun vibes.

I came here for dinner and really enjoyed the atmosphere. There was live music at the time and people were enjoying a meal and dancing to the music. I went for the brisket platter, which unfortunately want that great. The brisket itself was quite tough and not comparable with real Texas BBQ places in the area. The coleslaw was also a bit bland. Some of the other dishes I saw looked fantastic, so perhaps I just chose the wrong dish.

The food was great. I had the Poblano Chicken Sandwich, my wife had the BBQ Brisket Sandwich. We got one of each of the sides Onion Strings, Fresh Parmesan Potato Chips, Curly Q Fries and Sweet Potatoes Fries. All 4 were tasty. Definitely going back for a burger.

This was some of the best food we've had in a long time. The burger was fresh and tasted like it had been grilled outside, the hot dog was great, and the quesadilla was fresh. The chili was hands down the best item we had. There were no beans! The popsicle margarita was surprisingly good. Ended up ordering another! The salsa, guac, and nachos were good. Honestly, everything was amazing. Can't say enough about this place! Sat outside in the covered seating during a rain storm and it was dry and peaceful. Will be back again.

While planning on a trip to Fredericksburg we decided to eat here before we went back home. The atmosphere was very nice with indoor and outdoor seating. They had love music playing which I typically love when restaurants do this. I ordered the chicken sandwich which looked amazing but upon taking a bite I believe the batter they used could have used a little more seasoning in my opinion but it was still very good. The fries were very good and seasoned well. The kid's hotdog was very good as well. All in all, I will definitely come back here and update my review with the food I decide to eat. If you're ever in the area come check it out.

We met a friend here for drinks the other day, it’s a great spot and seems to be a favorite haunt. We got spicy margaritas and nachos, all were delicious. The margaritas were good sized, strong and reasonably priced! There was no live music when we were there but it was very busy (Saturday late afternoon). This is a self service establishment, you place and pick up drink orders at the bar (one indoors, one outdoors) and food orders are picked up at the kitchen counter when the buzzer alerts. We didn’t wait long for our food and everyone was kind and helpful.

My husband and I were there in Fredericksburg, Texas to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food at Hondo’s was HORRIBLE. The food had such an ugly taste to it. The only good about this place was the live band. I would NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save you money and go somewhere else.

I gave this place 5 stars for service because you serve yourself. You are seated and given a menu. Then you go place your order at one of the two bars. When your order is ready, you pick it up at the kitchen window. Food was good. We sat outside and enjoyed some live music. This place is dog friendly so we also enjoyed the pups.

Loved our experience here! We got the crab cake Benedict, it was great! Also got an espresso martini, not too bad. Everything was a reasonable price too. We brought our two pups and they were immediately greeted with water bowls and treats. We loved the dog menu. Our dogs scarfed down the ground beef with carrots. We loved how dog friendly they were. Great spot in Fredericksburg! The grilled chicken salad was super fresh and light, with the perfect touch of citrus 🍊, and the cheese curds were crispy and addictive! We also tried the sausage platter — full of flavor and perfect for sharing. Everything came out hot and well-prepared. We came at lunchtime on Saturday and there not many people here so we were seated straight away. We ordered a couple of drinks and when they brought our drinks out they brought my wife and myself each a shot glass of a beer they were advertising, which by the way was very delicious. We then ordered our starters, the German Sausage Sampler and the Wisconsin Garlic Cheese Curds. Both were especially good with great flavor. Then my wife ordered the Grilled Chicken Ceasar Salad and I ordered the Schnitzel Burger. The salad was decent, but not great. My Schnitzel Burger was good, but I've had better Schnitzel. We both got a side of Saurkraut, which was about average. The live musician playing was an older gentleman, probably in his late 70's and he frequently sang off key. The service was so so and that was frustrating as there were very few people here.

We sat outside on the patio and listened to live country music. It was delightful and the 200 yr old Tree is just fabulous too. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the crab cake Benedict and it was so good. We had the hamburger and brkfst platter too and all of it was fresh and very well prepared. We will visit again when in the area. Great job 👏

We stumbled upon Silver Creek on a Friday afternoon. We were greeted with Live Music on the patio. We chose to sit inside, but they placed us close enough to the door that we were still able to hear the musician. Jay was our waiter and he met us at the table with waters for the table and was on top of giving up the specials and his recommendations. We had my 12m old son with us and he brought a plate of French fries and maraschino cherries to ride him over until our food comes out. The drinks were spot on, we ordered the brisket fries, pretzel bites, fried pickles and cheese curds. One in our party got the crab cakes and another got the schnitzel. All of the food was phenomenal. Chef Anthony came out to meet us and we made sure to let him know his work was great. Jay hit us with one more surprise of Maple Burbon pecan bread pudding, and crème brûlée along with some whipped cream and chocolate for the baby. Hands down will be back and recommending to everyone I know

Silver Creek exceeded our expectations. The catfish and sausage plate were delicious and clearly had high quality ingredients. Staff was kind. Our dog had the best time too.

We arrived Friday (7-11) and from last nights dinner to today (7-12) here at Silver Creek it’s been DAY & NIGHT … Jade made our experience so enjoyable and welcoming … She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and wanted …. the whole bar staff also was so welcoming and made us feel right at home 😄 Thank you for welcoming us RGV girls to this amazing establishment … OH and the food was absolutely AMAZING !!!! Disappointing Experience – Didn’t Meet Expectations I had higher expectations based on the online booking process, which felt quite formal and professional. They required a credit card number to secure the reservation and clearly stated there would be a $20 per person charge for cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance. That level of strictness led me to believe we were heading to a place with excellent service and attention to detail. Unfortunately, that was not the case. From the moment we arrived, we didn’t feel particularly welcomed. One of the most basic things you expect at a restaurant—especially for brunch—is a warm and friendly atmosphere, with staff that make you feel comfortable and cared for. Instead, we had to keep flagging down our server just to place orders or ask for anything. There was very little attentiveness throughout the meal. As for the food, it was decent. However, the pricing felt off. For example, a very small portion of bacon cost $7, which seemed excessive given both the portion size and the overall experience. In the end, nothing about the food or the service stood out in a positive way. It was underwhelming, overpriced, and not somewhere I’d return. There are plenty of other spots that offer better service, value, and atmosphere.

This place is fantastic. The food is delicious, well-made, and nicely presented. It's got a very local, cozy vibe. And their bar is well-stocked with a variety of options. I love the duck schnitzel and the lamb chop. Be aware, their desserts are very dense and bold in flavor, so choose wisely.

Went with my dad so he could try German food. He had the sauerkraut balls (a dish they created). He absolutely loved it. They looked like hush puppies or falafel with a drizzled, creamy mustard sauce. He and I have only ever eaten canned sauerkraut -- which I dislike. They make they're sauerkraut daily and it's delicious! I generally avoid meat and dairy, so I wasn't sure what I could eat there. Our server Violet and the chef came up with a delicious sauteed melange of artichoke hearts,mushrooms, onions, new potatoes, grape tomatoes, and English peas. It was as good as it looks in the photo!

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was superb, the wait staff were all very attentive, and it was such a nice atmosphere for a nice night out. Within my group, we had the: Brot Und Butter-the jam was not my favorite (although the other 3 in my party loved it) but the butter and bread with a little salt and pepper was so, so good! Flammkuchen- My party raved for this dish! It was gone very quickly and was loved. Duck Schnitzle- So delicious! The breading was good, the sauce was good, all around very delightful. Wurst Plate- my husband RAVED for the haus mustard on this dish! The sausage was amazing, just a very savory and delicious dish! Pierogi- this was my dish and I almost didn't want to let the others taste it! This potato and cheese pierogi dish was absolutely delicious! From the sause to the red potatoes to the asparagus, it was just absolutely delicious! And it was so filling! Definitely recommend to anyone!! Overall this was a truly amazing experience and I can't wait to go again!

I have been craving schnitzel and wurst meal. Otto’s doesn’t disappoint. I just wish they poured more of that gravy sauce on the schnitzel. I kept going for the garlic potatoes. The wurst was tasty. But the bacon was winner in this plate. It came with a beet chutney. I like beets. Now I just need an apple strudel and I’m set. Service is friendly.

Delicious! Duck schnitzel was so wonderful!I’ve never had it before and ordered it on a whim based on reviews. Definitely did not disappoint. My husband got the Wurst plate and that was very good also

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Otto's. It's an intimate restaurant with possibly the best pierogis I have ever had! The pretzel was also very light and fluffy. 10/10 would go again!

First of all, Crossroads has incredibly attentive and welcoming staff. You know you're deep in the heart of Texas when they bring a chair specifically for your cowboy hat. Bread and a selection of sweet or savory butter was delivered immediately. Our orders were taken and food was delivered in a timely manner. I had the crusted halibut, which could have had more bacon sauce but was still delicious. The risotto was some of the best I've ever had--so cheesy! My husband said the prime rib was tender. The cooked spinach was sautéed in butter. Everything was delicious. After dinner, we went into the bar where there was a dance floor and live music. The perfect evening!

By far some of the best seafood I have had. The fresh grouper was cooked to perfection and my fiancé‘s halibut was delicious. Both served on a bird of risotto that I could eat every day. Can’t wait to come back. The dessert menu was one of the best I’ve seen in a long while eating all across Texas.

Came with a large group (made reservations in advance) and everything was wonderful. Had a variety of food preferences and everyone enjoyed their orders. Loved the bread and honey butter! Prime rib was fantastic and a HUGE cut of meat. Brussel sprouts and risotto were also wonderful. Would have been nice if there had been a vegetarian option on the menu that WASNT just a salad, but I understand that's to be expected from a steakhouse. Would definitely come again, especially for a celebratory meal!

Such a great place to end your day in Fredericksburg. The food is great, but the real gem is the bar and live music. We come every year and absolutely have a blast. Special thanks to the GM Gil for saving the day for us!

It was great! We had such a lovely evening in the restaurant. We could taste between wines before we we diced wich we take, Mia took care of everything! We shared our dinner at it was prepared in the kitchen. Steak was perfect! Dessert (peach pie) was heaven. Then we Switched to the saloon (live music) and still perfect service

We had a lovely shaded outdoor lunch here. Service was excellent. And the food was great. A few in our group have difficulty hearing in crowded restaurants. But eating outside allowed for great conversation. The artichoke dip was our favorite. And the gluten free pizza was good. We also loved our pizza.

Order delivery tonight, got our order at a reasonable time. Everything was hot and very delicious! We ordered a 12” pizza with Alfredo instead of pizza sauce with pepperoni and pineapples on 1/2 with some salads and mozzarella sticks. Perfect dinner for a night in & the delivery driver was very kind! Highly recommend. I forgot to take photos until we were almost done 🤣

Decided to come up from San Antonio and do some tiny home living for a week and stopped in West End Pizza Co. for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by this establishment. Service was prompt and polite. The pizza was delicious with a good crisp exterior and light fluff. All the vegetables seemed very fresh, bright and vibrant. My youngest decided to get their pasta and she really liked their meat sauce. They had several gluten free options for crust for my wife which she also enjoyed. The atmosphere is perfect in the early spring as they have plenty of outdoor seating. They also welcomed our pup. The drinks from the bar were pretty good as we ordered a skinny margarita and a jalapeño peach margarita. The Jalapeño Peach was a little more on the juice side but still was a good drink. They also offered a military discount which is always appreciated. Would highly recommend getting off the main strip of Fredericksburg and checking out West End Pizza Co. Parking can be challenging any where in Fredericksburg so, just have a plan to walk 2-3 min to get to the restaurant. But public parking is free.

West End Pizza Co. is our favorite place to eat in Fredericksburg, TX. Our favorite pizza is the West End signature pizza. Perfectly fluffy thin crust pizza with awesome meat and veggies piled on top! Shelby is our favorite server so make sure to ask for her. We love paintings and photographs! We feel like we are dining in an art studio. Love West End Pizza Co.!!!

Was fairly disappointed in this pizza place. The food was good at first, but then everyone's stomach started hurting. Thought it was from something earlier in the day until we ate leftovers a few days later and the same thing occurred. The business was loud and the staff seemed stressed. They were friendly but seemed a bit scattered. The toppings were fresh but it was almost too dense. Not enough pizza for the amount of things on it! Cheese sticks tasted like sonic cheese sticks, which I enjoy but don't expect from a dine in establishment.

Let me start by saying we are not avid pizza eaters. We eat pizza maybe 4 times a year. We LOVED this pizza! There is something amazing going on with the cheese ! Not sure if they make in the back or what, but it was so fresh and so yummy! The sauce to pie ratio was perfect! The toppings delicious! I had the gluten free crust and it was a crunchy delight! Please give this place a try I want it to be around for a long time! Best pizza I have eaten to date !!

West End Pizza Co. in Fredericksburg absolutely understood the assignment. We rolled in with a literal army of hungry Boy Scouts and somehow fed all 20 of them with just six pies… and everyone left full, happy, and ready to earn their Pizza Consumption merit badge. We ordered a mix: Margarita, Meatza, Cheese, Chicken, the West End Supreme, and a gluten-free option. Every single one hit. The square-cut slices were perfect for sharing (and low-key made us feel like we were at a classy pizza party instead of wrangling middle schoolers with dirt on their faces). The crust was crispy, toppings were generous, and the vibe? Casual and cool… the kind of place where locals, visitors, and tired Scoutmasters can all sit down and agree: “Yeah, this place slaps.” The price was shockingly reasonable for how many mouths we fed. Bonus points for not skimping on the gluten-free pie… our gluten-avoiders were thrilled, which never happens. Honestly, if you’re in Fredericksburg and craving pizza that’s fresh, fast, and surprisingly elevated, this is your spot. Just be warned: you may leave planning your next camping trip around another pizza run.

Wife and I visited while we were visiting Fredericksburg. Walked in and was greeted and seated almost immediately. However, after that it just went downhill really fast. We ordered some beers first along with chips, salsa, queso, and guacamole. We also ordered a large pepperoni pizza and wife wanted the black bean soup I believe it was. We literally waited 20 minutes and still had no water or no beers. Waitress came back around was like sorry I'm trying to get your beers but I'm waiting for our bartender. I asked where he was and apparently he was outside having a fight or disagreement with someone which is so unprofessional and trashy. After about 30 minutes we received beers and all our food at once. Completely ridiculous... Salsa was actually really good and wife did like her soup. However, they claim to have the best thin crust pizza which is absolutely false. The pizza was absolutely below average. It was like a big blob of cheese with really big pepperoni on it. Waitress was really nice however it dont make up for the lack of everything else.

We stopped in here for a beer and an appetizer. We sat at the bar, the bartender was entertaining, the beer was cold and the chips salsa and guac came very quickly. They have Axis beer in tap, delicious! Watch out, the salsa is hot but smooth and flavorful. This is definitely a sawdust on the floor bar, do stop in here.

The staff was awesome and very helpful. The ingredients used are all local and made in house; you will surely taste the difference. I tried the frito pie and it was hands down the BEST chili I have ever tasted in my life. We will be stopping by once more before we leave this beautiful town.

Excellent food and service. Expect to pay about $20-$25 per person. I felt it was worth it. This was with appetizers. 1 beer, 2 sift drinks. Make sure you check out turn of the century decor and architecture. We thought a German restaurant, the menu is quite diverse with the norm. Unusual, yes, but well done. It gives everyone a chance for something they will love! You could tell fresh and hand-made.

Ordered the black bean and chicken soup when I took the first bite it’s tasted like vinegar I asked the waitress if they put vinegar in the soup and she said she didn’t know what went in the soup and left we also ordered the seasonal salad she said it was watermelon and feta cheese on top of greens the salad barley had any watermelon in it and it had goat cheese. When she brought our check she never took the price of the soup off I questioned her and she took the soup in the back and I am assuming for someone to taste it then she took off the price for the soup . Service is terrible and they are very unorganized.

A bit disappointed here considering the amount the food cost. The French dip was just okay. Described as being loaded with hot beef, when in reality there was only a couple of slices. Charged $4 for a small amount of onions and cheese which should have just come with the sandwich.

The pizza was good. Ordered take out and it was ready in 15 min.

DELICIOUS! Ordered a peach pie ala mode and lemon meringue. Drool. The peach pie crust was flaky, just the right thickness and chew. Not overly sweet; slight tang/tartness to it balance out. The lemon meringue was a perfect balance of tartness and sweetness. The meringue melted in your mouth and offset the fullness of flavor of the lemon. Light, thin crust. Perfection. Lovely folks work here. The ambiance is like you're going to Grandma's house for tea and pie.. Cute little tables inside and out. Drip coffee and decaf served. Cold bottles of water. Some merch and preserves, etc. Definitely worth checking out even if you're on a diet! A variety of pecan pies. Fruit pies. Cream pies. Meringues. Bon appetit

I visited upon opening and tried a slice of peach pie. 🍑 🥧 My favorite flavor of pie is sweet potato 🍠 so I’m biased. I’m not big on pie filling but I enjoyed the bottom crust 🤤. Very good baking in that area!

Crazy good pies. I had the chocolate meringue and it was better than my grandmother's which was the best. My brother in law had the lemon meringue and he loved it. My wife and her sister had the peach blueberry and rate the pie 8/10. The meringue is very well done. Highly recommend. Wish I had gotten two pieces chocolate pie. Lol 🤣

Highly Recommend going to the Fredericksburg Pie Company! Its owned by a wonderful husband and wife. The pies are made fresh daily. Its charming and the pies are delicious! Be there at 10am for coffee and pie because they are sold out by 2pm. Only open Thurs- Sat

The whole space is so sweet, but it doesn’t compare to the owner, Tawny. She’s so kind that after a few minutes of chatting she made me feel like I was a regular and not a first time customer. The coffee is delicious and I’ll be going back to try ALL the pies.

Some of the BEST pie I have had EVER!!! Took me back to my Grandmother's kitchen when i was a little girl. The aroma when you walk in makes your mouth water. Only open Thurs-Sat and close when they run out of pie so plan ahead. Well worth the planning and trip!

Really has 40+taps & good drink selection, overpriced eats though. Dined 9pm on a Monday and it was easy to get a table and only a smattering of other customers. Atmosphere was a mix of modern inside and outside more rustic Texas style. Having both options was nice. Dined inside. Lots of TV and ongoing music, neon from signs. Drinks were a plenty- lots of options from Shots to beer towers, wine & of course draft taps. Even suggested mixed tap drinks. Prices seemed a little steep, perhaps if you plan to down some for an hour or 2 stick to Happy Hour (I think it said 2 to 6 daily) otherwise your looking at avg 25usd for 3 beers, give or take. Food was good tasting but not like OTT amazing. Came out in a timely manner but again, guest number made that expected. Prices ranged from 15 to 30 a plate, with traditional dishes like chicken fried steak being 20. Apps the same. Just seemed steep imo - best deal seemed to be their 'specialty' tacos where you get 3 and sides for 15. I'd say I'd want to say it's justifiable due to you get a good serving size but... not quite there for me. Could be personal expectations or opinions bias.

Food was just okay. I’ve learned “really good” in Fredericksburg is a Houston “just okay.” They had live music, which I loved. It was mostly country and oldies. The server was awesome! Her name is Jazlyn. The drinks were very yummy (and strong). Do NOT get the mozzarella sticks. DO get the fries. The wings were okay.

I come here several times and enjoy this place it’s a great vibe, but the ankle monitor bartender wants to pick and choose who to serve just cause I didn’t tip her once, she wants to be unprofessional and not serve me. That’s not how you treat customers. I pay for my drink like everybody else respect goes both ways. Girl be for real I’m here to have a drink not deal with that drama, do your JOB and keep it pushin!! FYI it was just one beer I wanted to purchase I don’t know have how much of a tip she expected :/

I arrived with high expectations, but this restaurant turned my experience into a disaster. First, they were out of pretzels—a staple that should never run out at any establishment claiming German authenticity (during Oktoberfest) Then came the news that German potatoes were unavailable. Strike two. When I tried to salvage the evening with a Paulaner Oktoberfest, they were out of that too. The Paulaner Hefe that we got was sour and nasty. How does a restaurant run out of multiple menu items during peak season? The incompetence didn't stop there. I requested they put on the Texas A&M game, which should be a simple accommodation for any sports-friendly establishment. They couldn't manage that either. To top it all off, they didn't have Hofbräu bottled beer in stock. We tried to go bottles only since the draft was clearly rotten. This place was a complete nightmare. The staff's inability to stock basic items made for one of the worst dining experiences I've had. Between the missing food, unavailable drinks, and failure to accommodate a simple request, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your time and money—go literally anywhere else.

My husband and I are celebrating our 2 yeat anniversary and stop in here for a beer. We walked through the pacific war museum and thought why not a beer. Great atmosphere and fun staff! Thank you for your service!

Came here for Halloween Oktoberfest Friday, and our server Miguel was AMAAAAAZING! So friendly yet professional, and makes some of the best drinks we’ve had. What a treat for our road trip from Los Angeles, CA! If you stop by, ask Miguel to make your drinks!

Make sure you take note of the price increase on their items. No notice from staff and no paper posted. My entree was 8.99 and was charged 11.99. Service was slow for brunch time. The restaurant wants even half way full. First time here and may be the last.

Classic Mexican options! Enjoyed our plates and a relaxed dinner with a drink. Ginger beer was worth trying and didn’t disappoint! Could’ve had another water refill- as my green enchiladas had a bit of a kick - but looked like one sever working in our area. Thanks would recommend - and will come again!

I've been to Hilda's a few times and it's always been a good experience. I was excited to go because of the outdoor patio area, though it would be great because of the nice weather. The patio is awesome, they did a great job on the addition. The atmosphere looks great and was expecting to spend some time and money on my girlfriend having dinner and a few drinks. That was cut short by the "wet sock" of a waiter we got. ZERO personality, no smile, acted like he hates his job and put a huge damper on our evening. He never smiled or looked us in the eye, definitely didn't make us feel welcome or comfortable. This was 10-31-25 at 4pm, the place wasn't even busy and he made us so uncomfortable that we ate and left to find somewhere to enjoy the evening. He was wearing a South Park sweater and had dark curly hair. I don't think he's ever been trained as a waiter because he left dirty dishes at all the tables he waited on, left paper trash and napkins on the floor... Too bad, Hilda's spent all that money on the renovation and let their staff cost them money... good luck!

We asked around for the best Mexican food restaurant in Fredericksburg, and heard Hilda's from a bunch of sources and people. And so we tried it this last weekend while we were in town for the auto swap show. It was fantastic. Be prepared to have your mouth burned off when you eat their Salsa. I loved it, love love loved. It's great. I will be back.

Drive through person was extremely rude because I complained about not getting my order right. After explaining 15 different ways that I wanted a bean and cheese burrito and to add red sauce to it. 3 different people had to get on the phone to understand this simple request. All native English speakers. Then I was charged for an 8oz container of red sauce. Why was this so difficult? Never again. I will make my own mexican food next time.

Indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor bar available. Friendly service. Huge portions. I had the shredded chicken nachos which were good, but the chicken lacked some flavor. My husband had the fajita chicken quesadilla and stated it was good.

The food at Hilda’s was good and the service was solid — no complaints there. What left a bad taste, though, was the way the bill was handled. The tip screen automatically included a gratuity, but no one mentioned that upfront. I didn’t realize there was already an auto-grat added until I saw the receipt later. Transparency matters, and it just felt a bit sneaky. Would have appreciated a heads-up.

Always friendly service from local staff, with USB and outlets in the wall. Food is super fast and always tasty but unfortunately the drinks, while looking great on the menu, aren't up to par. The martini was way too strong and the cucumber peach water was very full of Topo Chico which just watered the whole experience down. Come here for nice light bites.

The food lacked flavor and some of it was inedible. I got a chicken fried steak: took a couple of bites and didn’t eat anymore due to a funny taste. Found out why it seemed a little off when I threw up in my bathroom about an hour later. Mashed potatoes were drenched in butter and had a strange liquid/ very loose, yet gritty texture? It was kind of confusing. One family member got the fried chicken here: no flavor and they couldn’t eat much of it either. My sister got the quail, and she wasn’t able to eat most of it. Of course it’s a game bird, but it was exceptionally tough. She said the Brussels sprouts were decent. Our server was nice enough, so there’s that. I don’t think it was worth the money.

When we walked in were not a lot of people in there and it was dinner time, so I was a little worried. The general ambiance was lacking from our perspective. The food was surprisingly good. The salmon was delicious, the flat bread was unique and very good, the lamb was said to be awesome. Brussel sprouts these days are supposed to be crispy and somewhat caramelized, but theirs was more like the limp sprouts of my youth. The quail was said to be a bit dry and the chicken fried steak ordinary but fine. Service was fantastic.

Came for drinks on a Monday and was super excited to get to hear some live music! Stephen K More is was fantastic to listen to while sipping on some great cocktails. We tried the “alright alright alright” and the cucumber martini — both were excellent! Will definitely come back to try some food soon!

This is a cute spot on Main Street. They have live music and great service. The food and drinks did take awhile to come out, but we didn’t mind because it looked like they were understaffed. I understand that things are difficult during this time. We have the bacon wrapped quail, lamb and bread pudding. The food was amazing! We will definitely we returning next time we are in town.

Best German food I’ve had in a while! The drinks are great too! Plenty of beer options. There’s a sweet kitty that hangs around which felt homey. Our server was attentive and nice. I recommend the ginger peach spike lemonade and jagerschnitzel.

Stopped for dinner on our recent trip to Fredericksburg and glad we did because the food and service were phenomenal! The Burger was the best in my opinion but the flatbread was a close second. The Bourbon bread pudding was ok but will probably try another dessert next time. Worth a try if you've never been and in the area!

We had such a great experience at Martini’s Seafood House! Tom was our bartender and server, and he was absolutely fantastic—so friendly, attentive, and you can tell he really enjoys what he does. We started with the Rockefeller oysters, and they were amazing, make sure to add the squeeze of lemon for that perfect extra touch! For entrées, I had the surf and turf which was exceptional, and my partner had the tuna steak with an Asian flare that was so flavorful and delicious. The cocktails were also a highlight—our cucumber martinis and mojitos were so refreshing and tasty. Highly recommend Martini’s Seafood House and especially Tom for an unforgettable dining experience!

Killer place, quality food, awesome staff, great prices, where can one go wrong? Nowhere! Our server, Christian, was attentive, knowledgeable, and very personable. Had a great time chatting with him and having an all around delightful evening. My recommendation is to come early before the crowd hits so you can soak up the A/C (during the summer), the atmosphere and the libations. Right off the main drag in downtown Fredericksburg this is a treat to not be missed. Come early. Come often. Just come.

Christie was absolutely wonderful! She was so attentive, kind, and made us feel completely taken care of from start to finish. She also gave us fantastic recommendations for what to eat, and she was spot on! The sea bass and the clam & mussel pot were both incredible, and I’m still thinking about the Parmesan mashed potatoes—they were perfection. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and Christie truly made our visit special.

What a delight this place was phenomenal service, decor, music and the food OMG this was divine. We haven't had solid seafood in the PNW just ok maybe is how they prepare the food there but back here in TX this was amazing. We are glad to be visiting the town and enjoying some great seafood. Martinis care about their food and much attention to detail on their preparation and presentation. Our server Roman was a true professional and made great recommendations. Overall a great experience and will recommend to family and friends.

Martini seafood restaurant has the most outstanding flavors that pop for their seafood dishes. It’s not the seafood that I enjoyed. It was all the flavors that made the food so great and then a little splash of a drink just added a little touch to the flavor of what I was eating- absolutely toothsome !! And of course, our waiter named Cameron was just amazing. He was very knowledgeable and drink and food choices. I would recommend him this restaurant to anybody who is in this area for a little bit of great food and great drinks.

Best fish & chips I’ve ever had, and I’m from Maine. Surely the fish they get is frozen because they’re out there in central Texas, but it is great quality and not fishy whatsoever! Whoever cooked the chips was watching the fryer carefully because they were the perfect amount of crispy, but still had that soft potato inside! Tartar sauce was good and the service was kind and warm! I came on Saturday around 9:30pm, props to the chef!

We recently had the pleasure of stopping by Chase's Place for a quick pre-dinner drink and a small bite, and we were absolutely delighted by the experience. This spot is a true gem! We started with two of their tasty cocktails: the Hill Country Sipper and the Lavender Lemon Drop. Both were beautifully crafted and perfectly refreshing—the ideal way to kick off our evening. To hold us over, we ordered the Chase's Famous Scoop Fries with Parmesan. These were incredible—crispy, savory, and the perfect shareable snack. I highly recommend them! Beyond the great food and drinks, the atmosphere is what truly sets Chase's Place apart. The entire theme is a salute to the "plucky poultry" that were left behind by the previous owner, and you can even visit the chickens in their coop outside. It’s a quirky and charming detail that gives the place a unique and memorable personality. A truly wonderful spot with great food, fantastic cocktails, and a charming theme. The bartenders are the best ever! Cheer’s to Chase's Place—we'll be back! Salute!!

I was super excited to try this place as it was walking distance from my hotel and the shops. I decided to stop in for a semi-early dinner that turned into a late evening great time. First and foremost the atmosphere is amazing,and Bob Ross paints away on the TV by the bar. ❤️ The staff are all great. I sat at the bar and was taken care of all night long. Chase was also there and ensured I had an amazing experience. His hospitality was very much appreciated as he charged my phone since I didn't have a brick with me and my battery was running low. He also helps tables, runs food, and seats patrons as they come in. Food wise I was excited to try items on the menu. I started with the devil-ish eggs which sounded amazing on the menu with caviar. I looked forward to them, but when they arrived I was immediately thrown off. The eggs seems smaller, the garnish in the middle didn't make sense, and upon tasting the filling had too much mustard. Unfortunately, I have had better deviled eggs at family gatherings. I met 3 ladies that came in and sat at the bar next to me and with six eggs as the appetizer I decided to share them. The consensus was the same when asked what they thought of them. I was informed by the staff that there was a new chef that just started so I thought maybe he is just getting used to the menu. Which is very understandable. As my main course I had the Chimichurri Steak Fries. I ordered my steak medium rare, and it came out perfect. The fries were awesome and had a great balance of crispy on the edges with a softer center. These were a highlight. The only downfall was the Chimichurri sauce. In my opinion it was like watery pesto, not the tangy Chimichurri I was looking forward to. Chase apologized and advised it was what they had from the previous chef (a recent occurrence). Other than that my meal was good, but I had already had in my mind I was going to have an explosion of flavors in my mouth. Though my food experience wasn't where I had anticipated I would definitely go back to try other menu items like the cheese steaks. Yummy! The bartender served me delicious cocktails every time. They will create any drink that you request, even those on the menu. Thanks Chase for everything you and your wait staff do for the customer. I look forward to visiting again.

Atmosphere is chill and relaxing. Not loud hustle bustle of a typical restaurant. Drinks and food were phenomenal. Service was perfection.

Chase's Place has delicious food, fantastic cocktails, and amazing staff. I had the fish & chips; my husband had the street tacos; both were wonderful and we would order again. Had a fascinating conversation with the owner, Chase. Feeling adventurous? Order a shot of Fernet and ask Chase what he thinks about it. 😁 Oh, and leave space for the chocolate cake.

We spent our wedding weekend in Fredericksburg and one of the places at the top of our lists to try was Chase’s and it was phenomenal. Sam took care of us like we were family and we can’t say enough good things about our experience! P.S. the steamed shrimp and mussels with the edamame/bacon white wine butter sauce NEEDS to be on the menu FULL TIME!

Small place so get there early. The food is great. A bit pricey but worth it. Ribeye steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, as was the potatoes and Asparagus. My wife had the Scallops and they were perfectly cooked and flavorful as well. The cheesecake brownie dessert was to die for if your a chocolate lover. You won’t be disappointed if you try this place.

Wow – this BBQ is excellent and some of the tastiest BBQ we have ever eaten! Eaker is conveniently located on W. Main St. near S. Bowie St. Such a great menu with neat items such Brisket Boudin, Smoked Tallow, Tasty Pork, Slow Smoked Brisket and Boozy Banana Pudding. We had the Smoked Pork Sausage, Cole Slaw, Mac-N-Cheese, Potato Salad and Stuffed Baked potato – all absolutely perfect! You will not leave hungry – that is for sure. The decor is very family-friendly, and they have a large shaded outdoor eating area as well. You can also check out their custom-made smoker pits too. We highly recommend this BBQ and we will be returning this August with our family. Salute!

We loved this place! Excellent BBQ, including some with a Korean twist. We tried the brisket, the gochujang ribs, and the bulgogi sausage. All were terrific. The “moist” brisket was smoked perfectly, nice smoke flavor and smoke ring, and oh so juicy. The Korean ribs and sausage were different, but in a good way. We’re not huge fans of thick sauces on meat, but the ribs worked, super tender, fall off the bone! Grateful for the ample supply of napkins at the table! 😁 We had beans and slaw for side, both delicious! Even the garnishes of pickles and pickled onions were first-class. Very good homemade BBQ sauce too. Super friendly owners and staff. Great meal. Highly recommend!

Bar B Q SO GOOD YOU WILL CRY! These cuts of meats and sides are a masterclass in preperation. The brisket was marbled with perfect amounts of fat that was juicy yet didnt overpower the taste of the meat which was top layered with the crispiest skin. The kimchi rice and potato salad was so delicate and flavorful. Delicious! The bar b q sauce could be eaten on its own it is so good. I have celiacs disease so the gluten free menu and prep of food was done in front of you with top standards.

Oh my goodness! We had a half pound of brisket, 50/50 mix of wet and lean. Delicious! Excellent bbq sauce and it came with pickles, red onions, bread and jalapeños. We also had a link of bulgogi sausage which was as good as the brisket! Cucumber salad was good, but next time I will try the kimchi fried rice. Absolutely worth a stop; we are already planning our next visit.

Friendly staff. Food was pretty damn good! I recommend the Korean ribs. Brisket sandwich was thiccc and juicy. Also had the hill country sausage, kimchi rice, and the mac n cheese. All were delicious. Nice aesthetics and can eat outside.

This is some of the best barbecue I've ever had. I especially like the items that have a Korean flair. The Gochujang ribs are excellent👌. I also loved every sausage they make here. Brisket boudin sausage, beef bulgogi sausage, and I'm not one to like turkey breast but I love it here. This place has been in my backyard for 7 years and I'm glad I finally stopped. I will definitely be back as I want to try everything on the menu 🤠

Eaker’s has become one of my favorite places to eat in the hill country. All of the BBQ items are great. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Lance is awesome if you get a chance to say hello. Overall a great experience in the Fredericksburg area.

We had such a wonderful experience at Jack’s Chop House! Even on a busy Saturday night, the service was outstanding. Our waiter, Ignacio, was absolutely charming, helpful, and attentive throughout the evening. He made sure everything was perfect and added such a welcoming touch to our night out. The food was delicious, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this spot for both the amazing dishes and the top-notch service, thank you, Ignacio, for making our dinner so enjoyable!

We came as a party of five to celebrate our adult son’s birthday. Our daughter and SiL live in town and she thought she made Reservation for Saturday night. She did not complete the steps on the email reservation! But they ways able to accommodate our party in the patio! The fall weather was perfect and the staff was so attentive! We started with bread and they made a tableside dipping sauce with olive oil, oil, fresh garlic, and balsamic. Portions are large so we shared an Italian house salad, New York strip, a ribeye, candied Brussel sprouts and their famous potato hash casserole. We also ordered the tableside tiramisu and they brought out a banana fosters cheesecake with a sparkler on top to celebrate our son‘s birthday. It was a wonderful celebration. We are so thankful that the staff accommodated our group with the reservation that we thought we had made.

My boyfriend and I came to Jack’s Chophouse to celebrate our anniversary, and while the atmosphere was nice, we weren’t as impressed as we hoped to be. For the price, we expected the flavors to be more bold and memorable, but the food just didn’t quite deliver. That being said, our server Amanda was absolutely amazing — so cheerful, attentive, and truly the highlight of our evening. We really appreciated her great service, even if the meal itself fell a bit short

I cannot express how much I enjoyed this restaurant. We brought my mother to celebrate her 60th birthday unfortunately we made the reservation at restaurant by the same name in a different city. Although they were completely booked out, they were able to accommodate us! The absolute best customer customer service and the best food . Drinks and food- chefs kiss! Definitely the best place to celebrate a special occasion! Our waitress Ali was superb. Jason was a lifesaver for our special occasion .

We celebrated my wife's 50th birthday here, and the night was absolutely perfect thanks to the incredible service from Kyle and Nicole. Nicole went above and beyond to help me lock in our reservation and made sure every detail was in place for a special evening. Kyle was our server and he was phenomenal—attentive, accommodating, and completely on top of everything from start to finish. His professionalism and warmth made us feel truly cared for, and I can't express how much I appreciate that kind of service. It was a wonderful night filled with joy, and we’re so grateful to Kyle and Nicole for making it unforgettable. We will be back for sure!

Such a great locally owned place! Andy and Jason were amazing and made sure our dining experience was outstanding. Highly recommend! The bar also puts out some great drinks. The atmosphere matches the vibe and it feels like you're stepping into an old time New York eatery.

Visiting Fredericksburg Valentines Day and wanted to shoot pool. There was a sports event on TV so we didn't want to play the juke box. Bar tender put money in the jukebox and turned up the volume. After her songs played our first song came on. She immediately turned the volume way down. We thought that was wierd.

I like it. It's the divey-est place we found while in Fredericksburg. Everyone was friendly and the jukebox is great. This seems like the late-night option, where people go after getting it started on Main Street - which works for me.

For its genre this is a cool bar. The atmosphere is a little dive-esque but that’s appropriate for a sports bar. The bartender was friendly and accommodating. Those that seemed to be regulars smiled at us we entered. We would have stayed longer but they allow smoking in the bar and my wife is a recovering nicotine addict. For that reason alone we only had one drink and left. I’m not offended by the smoke but it just wasn’t for us.

Had the most lovely time with two friends at Six Twists last Friday. Daniel, who guided us through our tastings, was simply incredible - he is a wealth of knowledge, personable and sincere. The atmosphere and service are a cut above the rest. We can't wait to return!

I highly recommend this place for some light bites, wonderful champagne, and good company—it's a little haven to unwind and enjoy the moment.

We had a wonderful time at this terrific bubble bar. It was our great pleasure to enjoy the caviar tasting as well as the French sommelier choice tasting. We also love the deviled eggs. If you enjoy Champaign and Caviar, this is a must stop for you.

My husband and I absolutely adored our quiet evening here tasting sparkling wines and champagne around the world. The caviar was quality and paired nicely with the sparkling wines. I loved the ambiance. On the velour sofa we had an intimately casual, yet elegant evening together. I also appreciated the quality of the dining ware, the champagne flutes were classy. Our waiter, Lorkin, was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the tasting both fun and informative. He shared great insights about the wines and clearly had a real passion for what he does. The wine itself was delicious — beautifully balanced and thoughtfully presented. We would also suggest an order of the garlic fries and flatbread, both were very tasty. Overall, a lovely visit that we’d highly recommend, and don’t forget to request Lorkin!

It’s great to try new things! 🆕 Picturesque establishment. 📸 Piccolina is an Italian word that translates to little or small in English. It is often used as an affectionate term, similar to calling someone little one or sweetheart. Piccolina began with a simple yet whimsical idea ironically born in the drive-thru of a local Whataburger. While looking at an abandoned small building across the street, a dream was sparked of offering a frozen dessert haven free from artificial flavors and syrups – an elevated snow-cone stand that champions health-conscious choices and celebrates community spirit, all while showcasing the offerings of the Hill Country region. Surrounded by local orchards, growers, and a buzzing wine industry, Christina Harman, founder, seized the opportunity to transform her vision into reality in 2021, by purchasing an obscure vehicle sight-unseen on Instagram. With sheer determination and an ethos of embracing opportunities first, she learned how to make Italian Ice, similar to granita served in Italy, and served all over the Hill Country for two years. In 2023, with the help of many, she opened the doors to Piccolina on one of the busiest corners of Main Street, housed in a retrofitted 1950’s gas station that perfectly complements the charm of the original truck. Piccolina is more than a just business; it's a joyous space where Christina and her dedicated team get to serve up little scoops of happiness to everyone who walks through the door.

Yummy!! I really enjoyed the flavors that had something a little more sour to cut the sweetness. Any of the Italian ice with lemon were my favorites! If you just like sweetness I would definitely recommend the peach! These were so refreshing on a hot summer day!

In the center of the city, you can find this place with delicious Italian ice cream, with a small variety, delicious combinations and cocktail mixes. You can find them on the corner of E Main and Lincoln. On your visit to Fredericksburg take your time and visit the place, enjoy the view at the tables outside. I highly recommend it!

Suuuper cute sorbet shop in the center of town but was really disappointed by the product. We went in knowing that this was a dairy free situation and both my husband and I enjoy a sorbet so we were not concerned about that aspect. However, all of the flavors we tried were very one note and sweet. We tried the raspberry lemon, peach and kiwi and none of them had any tartness at all including the raspberry lemon. Ended up having a few bites and tossing the rest. Had only heard great reviews about this shop both online and from friends so I was surprised to not enjoy it.

I have never tried Italian ice but I wish I had sooner! This is the perfect way to cool down after walking up and down Main St. will be coming back for a second serving soon.

Great ice cream shop with eclectic flavors. We had the peach ice cream with prosecco pour and it was delicious! Much try for something new and refreshing.

First time here and the watermelon lime is where it’s at, especially if you love watermelon 😋😋 it’s sooo good I would definitely come back again! They also let you sample the flavors before you make a decision, really cool place

We enjoyed the Heart of Texas escape room! Unfortunately, we didn’t get out with just two people, but we enjoyed the challenge of it all. The staff (owners) at the front were very personable and ensured we had a great experience. I would definitely come back to try out another room.

Absolutely LOVED this place! If you are in the area and looking to play an escape room, the room we played was a challenge and so much fun! There are three different rooms to choose from so we are hoping to play the others when we are back in the area. Also, the owners were super nice and even suggested a hangout place in the area. 100% recommend!

We were in town visiting from Dallas and wanted to break up the wine tasting so decided to try an escape room. We had the best experience from the time we walked in until we left. The owner was great at giving the rules and also I loved the way she gave clues. We will absolutely be back for another room.

It was beautifully decorated! We have been to several and this was the first one that was just right in terms of difficulty for my three teenagers. Not too easy and not too hard. The manager was so super friendly. Clean and well-maintained.
