It's a good place for you to enjoy some delicious food and adorable scenery. No need to worry if you don't like duck dishes, they also provide chicken dishes, vegetables, and fish dishes.

We like the service, the atmosphere, and the food. However, sometimes the food is not as good as expected. My family came here several times and the same menus tasted differently. I mean, one day they were good and the other day they were not.

Cozy place, good food with affordable price 👍👍👍
Biamsari W — Google review
The place is not too big but quite comfortable to dine in with family or close one. The restaurant is also equipped with adequate parking lot and facilities such as prayer room, small playground, and toilets. The price is cheap and the taste of food will make you think that the price is somehow very much cheap.

Nice place, quite quiet and peacefu so you can hang out here anytime. Looks tiny outside but huge enough inside. Have a nice clean toilet. And thats what i like. I like peaceful place and would like to eat here.

(Translated by Google) Came at opening hours, 9 am, still quiet, only catfish mangut and krecek vegetables were available, both were spicy, eaten with hot rice, my goodness. The catfish is counted, 25 thousand per piece, so the krecek vegetables and rice are free, even hot tea and iced tea are not counted, the parents are very kind 😊 The atmosphere is like eating at grandma's house, pick it up yourself at the kitchen (Original) Datang di jam buka, 9 pagi, masih sepi, baru tersedia mangut lele sama sayur krecek, dua duanya pedas, dimakan sama nasi panas, ampun. Yang diitung lele nya ya, 25rb per pcs, jadi sayur krecek dan nasinya free, bahkan teh anget sama es teh ga diitung, baik banget ibuk bapaknya 😊 Suasana seperti makan di rumah mbah, ambil sendiri di pawonnya

(Translated by Google) There are many places selling catfish mangut, but I chose this place. This is my second time and all the catfish mangut sold by Mbah Marto's children have the same taste, so you can choose any catfish mangut. If you want to eat here, it's best to do it in the afternoon or evening, at night it depends on whether there are still any/still open. You must try the catfish mangut, papaya leaf vegetable. Rice is served yourself at the back. For those who like spicy food, this is perfect. Traditional food that must be maintained and preserved.

(Translated by Google) The legendary Mangut Lele Mbah Marto restaurant. If you're wondering why there are several places, each claiming to be the original, it's because Mbah Marto's children/family have opened their own restaurants under the same name, Mbah Marto. The recipes seem quite similar. I've been to other places, and they're equally delicious. The mangut lele itself is very spicy, but there are many other menu options, such as grilled chicken, opor (opor), papaya leaf vegetable soup, and others. Since I can't handle spicy food, I opted for the grilled chicken, and it was delicious. Many of my family members have had the mangut lele, and they say it's also delicious. The catfish is smoked (not grilled/fried) and cooked with spices and broth, so the spices and spiciness are truly absorbed. The system is self-service, so you go into the kitchen/cooking area and choose your own dishes. When you pay, you state what you've eaten. The place is very simple. The kitchen is traditional, and the stove uses a wood-burning stove. I also saw the smoking area. It's quite interesting, but be careful when entering the kitchen and smoking area, as there's a lot of smoke, which can sting your eyes and make your body and clothes smell of smoke. Overall, it's an interesting experience. If you love mangut, this might be a good option.

Javanese restaurant
Warung Bu Ageng is a popular dining spot in Jogja, offering authentic Javanese cuisine at affordable prices. The menu includes traditional dishes like Nasi Liwet and Gudeg, all served in a simple yet welcoming atmosphere. Owned by renowned theatre actor Butet Kertaredjasa, this restaurant is strategically located in a tourist area surrounded by shops and cafes.
The atmosphere here is lovely. The food leans more towards the sweeter side so those who want to reduce sugar intake should be a bit careful. Portions are reasonable but the price is higher than many other places. Flavour is good. Just note that there are no noodles on the menu. Just rice dishes.

Tried their signature nasi campur paru ketumbar and it was heaven 🫠 every element just works perfectly into one unit of nasi campur. their pecel was also grreat, perfect consistency of saos kacang, thicc but not overly thicc just how i like it. And oh! Their aloe vera drink 🫠🫠🫠 ultimate comfort food. Love bu ageng

July 2024: Nice local restaurant serving local cuisine. Not cheap. I was given 2 tiny slices of beef and lots of crackers plus other items. Iced tea was mostly ice. Update: July 2025 Came here again and still like the good here. As there are two of us, we ordered dishes to share. Their chicken was great. Beef and lodeh were small servings so if there are more, please order more. Still a lot of mosquitoes and they wanted to sell me a pack of anti mosquito cream... Or maybe I couldn't understand him that he was offering it to me free...

We arrived at 1:30 PM – the place wasn’t too busy. Serves authentic, homestyle Yogyakarta dishes. Popular with tourist families, both local and international. My fave menu: Nasi campur Paru Ketumbar, Nasi campur Lele Njingkrung.

Nestled in the heart of Yogyakarta, Gudeg Pawon is a culinary gem that has been delighting locals and visitors alike since 1958. This beloved eatery specializes in gudeg, a traditional dish made from young jackfruit simmered for hours in rich coconut milk and aromatic spices. Served alongside rice, chicken, and sambal, each plate offers a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors that truly captures the essence of Javanese cuisine.
Gudeg Pawon Selera Nusantara is an essential destination for those seeking an authentic Yogyakarta culinary experience at night. This spot offers the rare and memorable opportunity to dine directly in the kitchen, immersing visitors in a traditional and lively atmosphere. The food is not only flavorful but also enhanced by the unique "pawon" (live kitchen) concept. Perfect for those eager to savor authentic gudeg, it's best to arrive early to avoid long queues. Highly recommended dishes include the spicy krecek, bursting with rich and savory flavors, the tender and well-seasoned kampung chicken opor, and the tempe bacem, which perfectly rounds out the meal.
Diasdo S — Google review
If you want an authentic Javanese culinary experience, then this is a must go. Gudeg is so well known as Jogja traditional food, made of young, unripe jackfruit cooked with coconut milk gives you a distinct and unique flavor. Some people associate it to be similar with a very tender beef. You can view the old kitchen they use to make this meal, nothing fancy, no aircon not even waiters 😊 but to see the uncle put gudeg, krecek, chicken/meat, egg and all the ingredients to your plate and hand over to your hand directly, well.... that's something very personal, folks 😍 I don't have to comment on the taste, it's 11 out of 10 for sure! And still... Quite affordable, this place got my 100% recommendation ; you will not only got the delicious meal but cool experience 🤩

Finally back again after 19 years ago for the first time eating here.As far as I remember, the kitchen hasn't changed much, only the access road to here is wider and brighter. There are no long queues like before, also the opening hours are earlier due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there is a rule that prohibits activities not to exceed 9 pm.What I like about the gudeg here is that the gori is not too sweet, wet and the sauce is thin. The opor chicken is tender with a savory sauce and the krecek is soft with large pieces. If you want it spicy, you can ask for cayenne pepper in the krecek sauce and then eat it with the side dishes. Ah, this Pawon gudeg is so delicious, I recommend it!Besides, it reminds me of the nostalgia of the old days when I ate with my ex-girlfriend who is now my wife.. Hehehehe..
Rico A — Google review
Lucky when we arrived only 2 people queue. When we about to pay, lining up to the door. About 15people. Gudeg not too sweet. Ayam is chewy and nice. The kerecek is spicy and salty. For those who like salty version will like this. The ibu2 is super friendly. Just eat first and pay later. It looks like they dont write it down our order.( 5 of us) but apparently they have a book written all of the order.
KeruPug — Google review
Still one of the best Jogja yet not sweet taste of gudeg dishes, love it! now open earlier rathar than 10pm on wards!
Bayu P — Google review
Went here before opening hours and second later tons of people came and start to filled up the place. the place is not really big, and we eat wherever we want. the taste is good, the price is pretty high and the portion is normal.
Clarissa E — Google review
[+++] Such a unique experience when you could enter the traditional kitchen of the gudeg and witness it directly [++] I prefer this kind of gudeg where the sweetness is mild and yet also has decent spiciness from the krecek [+] The price is super affordable for a domestic tourist like me
Tara M — Google review
Ok let's be honest, the Gudeg defenitely just an ordinary gudeg and nothing special about the taste, you could find a way better one across Yogyakarta. The thing is..what makes this place so famous is the 'concept' and the hype of net, that's all about it. They sell the food in a humble traditional village style kitchen (which make people think its the most authentic, we know people go crazy for this kind of concept and hype right?) and only open for 3 hours (which make people think it would sold fast, so long queque is happened). The food serve directly from the hot pot, so you will eat it while it still warm. The service is lousy and slow (old man and woman serve food, pay, and talk at the same time). The price is not that affordable for Yogyakarta standard either, higher rate than other bigger proper Gudeg restaurant (especially this one who sell from 'traditional village style kind of kitchen')

Mie Ayam Ibu Tumini Sari Rasa Jati Ayu is a popular spot in Jogja known for its delicious chicken noodles. The place gets really busy, especially during lunchtime, so it's best to arrive early when they open at around 10 am to avoid long queues. The menu offers a variety of dishes including Mie Bakso, Soto Sulung, tempura, satay and Mie Ayam.
Tried the famous Mie Ayam Tumini and it definitely lived up to its reputation! The noodles were springy and smooth, topped with rich, flavorful chicken that had a deep, slightly sweet soy taste. The broth was thick and bold, making it stand out from regular mie ayam. The portion was huge and very satisfying

🍜 Affordable Local Mie! If you're a fan of thick noodles, this restaurant is a must-visit! It's quite popular, so expect it to be bustling with people. The star of the menu is undoubtedly their signature chicken sauce, which is rich, flavorful, and perfectly complements the noodles. The combination of the hearty noodles and the unique chicken sauce makes for an unforgettable dining experience.

So crowded when we are here. It's a bit confusing on how to order. We just have to take whatever that has been offered if we want even if we haven't ordered yet. The taste is OK, if you like sweet, then you'll also love this.
Olivia J — Google review
Best Mie Ayam ever! And for sooo cheap, coming from Jakarta that was the first thing we noticed. We were a group of 9 ppl and ordered many iced tea and mie ayam. The portion was right, and the sauce that they poured on top of the noodles, was really tasty! Could have gotten easily a second dish! Even though it's a little far, it's a must visit stop. Worth to try!
Johan W — Google review
Came here for lunch with my wife and we really enjoyed the Mie Ayam Biasa. The broth was slightly sweet, but thicker than most mie Ayams that I have tried in Indonesia, which I really enjoyed. The chicken was tender but you get the occasional bone in there, so be careful for that. The service was extremely fast, as we got our food within minutes of ordering it. The price is very reasonable, as you can see in the pictures. Next time I come, I look forward to trying the chicken feet. I would recommend trying this place!

So if you dont like sweet culinary this noodle not suitable for you, but at least you already try this jogya culinary. No car parking, only received cash payment.

BEST MIE AYAM IN TOWN! One of the chicken noodles that has a different texture than the other chicken noodles I've eaten The thick gravy is more concentrated than other chicken noodle soups which tend to be thinner. Besides that, the chicken topping is abundant, so it feels worth it. The price is still very affordable It's always crowded with visitors. Therefore, don't be too late if you want to stop by here, because it's guaranteed to always be sold out Suggest: They have two portion, choose the bigger one for your lunch time Payment: Cash
Abdurrahman ( — Google review
One of the best Mie Ayam you should try. The texture of the soup is a lil' bit thick, the chicken is so creamy and has a strong flavour (slightly sweet). Good portion with a good price. Many people comes even before they started. So, you'd better get a head start too.

The specialty here is the Javanese noodles with a choice of regular or special noodles with duck egg. The hidden gem of bakmi godhok in Bantul, Yogya, located in Code. Try to order special mie godhok (stewed mie) with chickem wings. The taste is so delicious & juicy, with duck egg. Located on Jalan KH. Ahmad Dahlan, Gang Purwodiningratan in Yogyakarta, Oseng-oseng Mercon Bu Narti is a sought-after culinary destination in the city. The dish is renowned for its perfect balance of spiciness and rich flavors from high-quality ingredients. Despite being not overly spicy, it offers just the right kick to tantalize the taste buds.
Great food, first time trying oseng oseng after doing some research. Glad i found this place (even though it’s by accident) Food served hot & fresh. Very spacious venue with big tables and great service! Owner is the daughter of the original chef, she sticks to her word when it’s come to quality 👍🏻
H D — Google review
The food is as expected from one of legendary meals in Jogja. Not that spicy to my taste but kicked my tongue just right. Hotness level is about the balance with other flavors from rich ingredients. The venue is not visible from the road but when you enter their area you will feel cozy by their tables layout and ambience. Parking lot is available for about 8 cars and 20 motorbikes.

Great food! One of the most delicious 'oseng mercon' in Jogja. But the first thing they said to me when I went there isn't "What would you like to order?" , instead they offering me canned food. WHAT THE HELL? It was so weird and very awkward. I thought is it because the way I casually clothed, or maybe I look like I can't afford the place. I was so embarrassed I don't think I'll go back there.

not recomended place to eat, based on my experience, poor taste, not spicy at all, and the meat is still smelly if you wanna eat the real oseng-oseng mercon i suggest you to go to KH Ahmad Dahlan street there are a lot of place to eat oseng-oseng mercon

I must say Pak Pele is one of Bakmi Jawa legendary street food in Yogyakarta. Always busy, need extra patience if you wanna try especially when you come with empty and super hungry belly 😬 Located in Alun-Alun Utara, surrounded by small cafe's/warung's. Parking is considerably OK and safe. I was so lucky it was just open, it's still emptier and I got my noodle a little fast too 😃 Fresh from the "Tungku" (traditional charcoal stove) with special taste. I made mistakes, I meant to order the glass noodle instead egg noodle. Yet, taste still very good. Different type of egg noodle and fresh ayam kampung. Great flavour and very tasty!!! Bakmi Pak Pele very consistent, the taste never change from time to time! A must visit street food when visiting Yogyakarta 😊 Don't forget to try wedang ronde, just next to Pak Pele. Was really good too!

A popular street stall recommended by local. Located within walking distance from Keraton Palace where it is a tourist area. Bakmi Jawa rebus is decent with generous shredded chicken. Nasi goreng is below average though. There is quite a bit of waiting time after ordering because every dish is prepared and served fresh from the wok. While the place is roadside stall so we had to share table and space There are many side roadside sellers nearby as well. So you can look around to get other local Jogja food.

Nestled in the heart of the city, Special Bakmi & Nasi Goreng Pak Pele offers a culinary journey like no other. As soon as you step foot into this charming eatery, you’re greeted by the enticing aroma of sizzling woks and fragrant spices, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Special Bakmi & Nasi Goreng Pak Pele, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The menu boasts a wide selection of noodle and fried rice dishes, each prepared with precision and care. After much deliberation, I opted for the Special Bakmi, and it did not disappoint. The noodles were cooked to perfection and tossed in a flavorful sauce that left me craving for more. What truly stood out to me was the authenticity of the flavors. It’s evident that Pak Pele and his team take great pride in using traditional recipes and high-quality ingredients, resulting in dishes that are bursting with flavor and nostalgia. Aside from the delicious food, the ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or family. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall dining experience. In conclusion, Special Bakmi & Nasi Goreng Pak Pele is a culinary gem that should not be missed. Whether you’re a fan of Indonesian cuisine or simply looking to embark on a culinary adventure, this place has something for everyone.

I think you can find similar taste with no queue elsewhere. Food was okay, but not special. We have to find our own table, write our own order, and after all that effort still have to wait almost 1hour. Price is around 30k per portion. Place was packed, some people were even sitting outside on the side of the road holding their bowl. Maybe thats why my expectation was a little bit too high.
Clarissa A — Google review
The taste is good, as good as people recommend me to try this legendary dish. Simple dish but has rich flavors, and also generous amount of topping! (Chicken and boiled egg) But you need to wait approximately 1 hour to get your order. Probably would try at another branch that less crowded than this one.

Mie Godok was the item to go for at this place. The sauce has has strong eggy aroma and decent duck taste in it. The noodles were smooth as well. I came at 5pm, which was just when the place started its business, so there wasn’t a wait. If the wait would take longer than 30mins, I’d have chosen to pass.
Shih C — Google review
For a street stall, this place is not bad. Bakmi godog nyemek here tastes like comfort food, with generous protein and vegetables at reasonable pricing. The seasoning is just right, every dish is prepared and served fresh from the wok. While the place is nothing luxurious, the good food really makes this place super worth it. Wedang ronde here falls towards light wedang, which I really like because it doesn’t come off too strong. You also get a big bowl of acar/pickles and green chili as sides when you dine in. There are many side dish sellers nearby as well. On peak hours, you will have to queue for seats, but generally the waiting time isn’t too long.
Joycerlyn C — Google review
We arrived 16.45, they opened already. Our queue no.3, and wait around 15-20 mins for the food to be served. Nit suggested to come in peak hours or when you are very hungry. The cook with charcoal "arang" & use duck egg only. That is why their price a bit pricy that other place but still acceptable. We ordered Bakmi Godog Kuning, Bakmi Goreng, Es Jeruk, Es Tape Ketan ijo & krupuk, total 90K

I visited this place with my family on a Sunday afternoon and we were very satisfied with the food and service. The soto was very flavorful and rich, with tender beef and crispy fried garlic. The es kopyor was refreshing and sweet, with chunks of coconut flesh and syrup. The portion was generous and the price was reasonable. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the place was clean and cozy. We really enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended for anyone who loves soto and es kopyor!

A nice view to a vast rice field surrounding the restaurant. The restaurant is locally managed. Their famous dish (the only one) is free range chicken fried and served with local delicious sambal (chilly) and vegetables. Nice place to hang in the morning or at lunch time or even afternoon.
