Love this place. Healthy yummie food and interesting recipes. And some of my favorite smoothies. I always try to go every time I am in Barcelona. Highly recommended. Would love to have that place in Palma.

Great plant based health food conscious restaurant serving up protein/salad bowls, sandwiches and other dishes with natural ingredients. Reasonably priced and quick service. I ordered the Hawaiian poke bowl. Great flavors, fish wasn’t the greatest but other parts of the bowl were great. Friendly staff.

The food here is fantastic. It’s light, healthy and satisfying. I had the mango avocado tartar with a tuna taco and my partner had the Korean bibimbap. We both had a carrot juice mixture called “forever young”. I highly recommend a visit to Flax & Kale.

Flax & Kale is hands down our favorite spot for vegan food in Barcelona. We ordered all vegan options and every dish blew us away. The nachos were loaded with flavor, the veggie tartare was fresh and creative, and the flatbread was hearty and perfectly seasoned. And the desserts absolutely to die for. Beautifully made, indulgent without being heavy, and the perfect way to end the meal. The atmosphere is modern and lively, the service is friendly, and the food is next-level. If you’re vegan (or even if you’re not), this place is a must-visit. Easily our favorite dining experience in the city!

The place has a beautiful interior with a great atmosphere. I really like the concept of the healthy options that are very tasty. However, for the price we paid, the portion sizes were quite small and because there was no protein, the dishes aren't considering the macronutrients and leaves you a little unsatisfied.

The lady at the door not welcoming at all - as nice is the place as ugly was her treatment and attitude. and I had just said good morning and asked if the terrace is open. If I hadn t decided I wanted exactly to come here to eat I would ve definitely walked away. The place is beautiful and the waiter upstairs was really nice. Food is good and the terrace upstair is wonderful. Manners for the lady though - zero.

I didn’t eat any food, just passed by for a coffee and realized they have a roof top sitting area which do recommend go site at the top. Coffee was amazing that I ordered another just because why no, that’s why I rated the food as 5 star, other then that the atmosphere is calm, relaxing and cozy.

I was very excited on the way here, as on paper the menu looks very interesting. However, when the food came it was generally overly salty. The sweet potato “tagliatelle” felt more like a salad than a pasta dish because the shredded sweet potato is not as calorie rich as real pasta. The gluten free, vegan pizza was better, but along with the rice noodle wok dish rather salty. Chocolate cake was a bit soft and very sweet, the pistachio ice cream that comes with it was good. It was interesting to try but I wouldn’t come back. Service was excellent, and the venue is very nicely done, hence still 4* overall.

Beautiful Scandinavian / Moroccan vibe. Great combination of flavours. We had the sweet potato tagliatelle. It was healthy and yummy. We both stated being coeliac. The menu was labelled clearly what meals had gluten in. I felt very at ease, would come back again!

Something a bit different than usual. Very tasty and surprising food. All vegan and/or vegetarian. I'd never heard of some of the dishes, but everything was delicious. Lovely atmosphere and friendly service. If you're looking for a surprise, definitely eat here. Booking in advance is recommended.

Love everything! As a vegetarian for 15 years finding a nice place where they really cook and experiment with food is amazing to find. The filled zucchini flower with ricotta was amazing together with both pizzas.

We were looking for a restaurant serving vegan food in Barcelona and came across Rasoterra. The food was some of the best we have ever had. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very friendly. Every plate brought in a new taste and we liked the interesting food combinations. We can absolutely recommend Rasoterra. It was an amazing experience.

Amazing dishes, menu changes each month and reflects the (mostly local) ingredients available at the month. It was an soft explosion of flavors mirrored in different textures. Staff toll us that they try to use everything from the plant (one dish included fried carrot leafs), to create essences, salts etc. One clearly tastes and notices all the thoughts and labour that went into these dishes.

Wonderful vegan experience at Rasoterra! Upon arriving, the staff were incredibly friendly and described the menu and pricing in detail. They also explained the concept of slow food, which we 100% back. The food was exquisite, serving unique flavours in beautiful dishes. Dishes arrived very quickly and the whole experience was truly enjoyable! Thank you! 👏

This is my favourite restaurant! The food is delicious and of high quality, the service super nice and the ambience cosy. I love that it's all veg and they select ingredients based on seasonality and regional. Major bonus point for me as a coeliac is that they can adapt the menu gluten free. While there are no guarantees for cross contamination as the kitchen isn't 100% gluten free, they do take care to ensure you can eat safely. I love going here and I will certainly be back ♥️

Please get the wine to go with the food, the way to two perfectly compliment each other is insanely perfect. This is the best food / wine combo i have ever had in my life. We didn’t take many photos because we were too busy savoring every bite! This place is a gem for vegetarians, offering a delicious variety of fully plant-based tapas — something that’s surprisingly hard to find. Every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The croquetas, in particular, are an absolute must! 🤤

Really innovative mains, was genuinely so difficult to decide what to try, I ended up with the filet mignon but could've happily eaten anything off the list. Of the desserts, the torrija was the best I've ever had. I also appreciate that they had a variety of juices and teas available. Reasonable prices, nice atmosphere, and attentive service.

I loved Vegan food in this restaurant. The restaurant was very hygienic. The staff was excellent. I didn't like burger hair because it was sweet. But I highly recommend this restaurant in Barcelona. However it is a little expensive but worth it.

I just can’t believe that there is a Vegeterian/ Vegan restaurant in Barcelona since 1979 and it’s not Indian food.. we had las Bravas, Bomba, and XL Canteloni .. good size portions and such a yummy food.. I came by spontaneously without reservation and only by myself. I still got a table and was really excited due to all the great reviews. And I can definitely confirm them. The food was just amazing! It was flavourful and creative, nothing like dishes and combinations you can find anywhere. I highly recommend coming here.

We booked in advance for 11 people and had the Chef’s set menu shared between us. We had 10-12 dishes including an amazing dessert (creme brûlée and poached pineapple!) and the food was unbelievable! The set menu was amazing to save organised food between us and the food was outstanding - our favourite was the pork cheek, prawns and the pumpkin dish. Amazing value too. Very attentive service and great ambience. Only drawback was no sangria by the jug! But would otherwise highly recommend to small and large

Stumbled upon this restaurant while walking around. We were lucky to secure the last table without a reservation on. Saturday night! Our server, Matthew was wonderful, the vibe was great, and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend if you’re in town!

Excellent food. An insane combination of tastes. The pumpkin is a must try and the patatas bravas were soo good. Make sure you order the potatoes with the sauce. They use originar products from BCN and you can see that. The service was friendly and helpful to recommendations.

We were recommended La Sensi by a friend when visiting Barcelona. We are glad we booked in, this must be the best tapas experience we have had. The food was amazing, the staff were friendly. The restaurant is small but that makes it a more personal experience. Cost was very reasonable, definitely recommend booking.

The service was excellent. Plates were presented beautifully and were prepared to order. The octopus was delicious. However, the chicken tapa and tortilla were severely lacking in seasoning. The placed was jam packed and reservations are a must.

Delicious Octopus, pretty good pork cheeks and decent ravioli. The sauce on the ravioli is superb, the raviolis themselves have a rather thick dough. Overall good value and excellent service. Reservations are pretty much required. It was a bit warm inside.

Niiiiice! Now I smell like seafood... What I got the fried little fishes and the peppers. BOTH WERE DELICIOUS! I like the peppers and the fishes were also great. it was fried crispy enough and the pepper were also cooked very well - though I think they went a little too much on the salt. Environment A rather small space inside. The frying/cooking is in the open I'd say so the smell from the food can stick to you easily. I walked out smelling like the restaurant.... Niceness of the staff Very patient staff while I sit there and decide on what I want to order. There was a lot of the menu and I couldn't decide... so they were very patient. Dollar It was reasonably priced. It was a total of 20 something euro for the 2 dishes and a sparkling water Yes I would recommend but caution people on the after smell...

Good tapas. I liked octopus. Breads were not toasted and little soggy with tomato sauce. Croquettes were delicious but little oily. Calamari was half good half overcooked and chewier than I like.

Jai-ca in Barceloneta is a true gem! The atmosphere is lively and authentic, the staff is warm and welcoming, and the tapas are simply outstanding. Most tapas range between €7–12, with seafood dishes understandably a bit more – and worth every cent. A perfect spot to experience real Barcelona vibes!

A++. Would highly recommend. The food was absolutely delicious! Seafood was so fresh and the tapas were cheap and delicious. We travelled from salou to barcelona before this spot and out of all the food we tried this had taken the crown by miles. The staff were really friendly and accomadating. Calamari was well done but forgettable and not salted quite enough. 7.5/10 Creme de Catalan was great, best I had. 9/10 Tortilla was nice but again quite plain and forgettable. 7/10

Authentic place, went there for drink and tapas. Homemade vermuth was excellent, padrone peppers were little but to oily, but very friendly staff and service. Best croquet in Barcelonetta 🙂

I had the squid fried egg here over 6 years ago, since then I've thought about it at least once a week. Luckily I had the privilege of eating here again last week and it was just as delicious as the first time, honestly for me it's the best egg dish I've ever eaten it's just absolutely perfect. To top that the staff are friendly welcoming and attentive thank you again for the best egg of my life!.

Great bar in the markets… probably the best… extremely friendly and efficient with the best Spanish omelette we have ever had. The seafood was delicious and all dishes came out like a high end restaurant

I followed Phil "Somebody Feed Phil" to this marketplace to have lunch at El Quim. We expected the seats were hot so we acknowledged to the staff seats for two, and we did not wait long for our seats. Ordering was an ease, the menu was easy understanding and we ordered our food. Everyone was busy but seemed they did not forget every customer, everyone was well taken care of. The must have signature dish: baby squids on fried eggs (2 eggs) was amazing! Best eat with their crusty bread, and use the bread to soak up the sauce left on the pan. We also had the anchovies, oysters and razor clams, all were very delicious. Oh, the sangria, got to have the sangria, it went well with the food. Watching the actions in the kitchen was a bonus. We had such wonderful culinary experience, El Quim isn't just a tapas bar, it is a destination.

However, it’s not the most vegan-friendly option—when we asked for vegan dishes, the eggplant came with sour cream and the mushroom plate included foie and egg, which made it difficult for our vegan friend to find suitable options. Still, the overall experience was enjoyable, and the quality and taste of the food stood out. El Quim de la Boquería is best suited for those looking to enjoy authentic market-style dining and local specialties in a lively, central setting.

It’s inside the market and we were seated at the bar watching the chefs making amazing tapas! We were amazed by the flames and the dynamics and the flavors. The Riojas wine was great and the croquetas delicious.

This restaurant located in the La Boqueria market. The food was ok, but in my opinion it’s a little overhyped - also the prices were quite a bit higher (likely due to the location). It was super busy, so maybe we just ordered the wrong dishes. The croquettes were a little mushy and seemed like they were lukewarm. The prawns were good, but they were not entirely cleaned and were few for the price of the plate.

Heaven. The obligatory seafood platter, the baby squid and the iberico bellota plate are just simply perfect, but there's much more for the gourmets on the rustic & gorgeous lineup: the tripes are sensational! The texture is flawless, cooked to be supersoft but still nicely chewable, the taste is led by a rustic smoky note with a touch of chili - perfection. And the morcilla: well, we have a long tradition of black (blood) pudding in Hungary, but this is very different: it is not just blood, but full of different haggis-like cuts, dressed in a very unusal but phenomenal seasoning (almost sweet, lead by cinnamon, ginger...?). Flawless spot, everything is "Preparado con cariño" as our server said smiling on my honest surprise after tasting the tripes.

I visited this restaurant/cafe twice when I was in Barcelona and absolutely loved it. Ingredients were delicious and fresh. It was a perfect healthy boost for my day. Everything on the menu looked great as I was watching others get their food around me. I got the spicy feta salad. It is super popular so I would recommend downloading the app and ordering to eat in through that to save time.

Was here this past summer while visiting the city. Someone in my hostel recommended this place to my group and we had to stop by and try it. I ordered the piri piri chicken and side of smashed potatoes with truffle mayo. Everything was delicious! We also got the bottomless juices which were all super tasty! It was nice to have a break of fresh, healthy food after a week of cheap eats. They have English and Spanish menus, and employees could speak both languages well. Overall super tourist friendly and a great spot for lunch!

The foods are green and taste good here. The decoration in the restaurant is elegant and natural making me feel comfortable to have lunch. But the service here is not zealous. When I ask for menu that talk to me at the gate with apathy. Besides the one dish makes me wait too long time maybe 20min.

Visited for breakfast as they have vegan options and we always visit Honest Greens when we cruise to Barcelona...great place, cool and chilled atmosphere..ordered overnight oats and honest pan tumaca with two orange juices and two Americanos .. fabulous food and drinks...Love this place and will return next year on our next cruise. Didn't order cakes but all the cakes are vegan too.

Not worth the hype! I enjoyed the atmosphere and watching the dishes being prepared more than the food itself. My salad was mostly kale and cabbage with just small touches of the other ingredients. Kombucha tasted like anything but red berries, and food took a really long time to be served.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting an amazing healthy restaurant in Spain, which has several delightful outlets across the country. This time, I tried the one near Plaça de Catalunya, and I must say, the Latin Lover Bowl was absolutely delicious! The service was not only quick but also excellent, making the experience even more enjoyable. Plus, the price was fantastic for the value offered. I highly recommend it!

A really cute vegetarian place with friendly staff :) I got a peach, apple, carrot and orange juice which was so refreshing and tasty and my friend got the homemade ginger drink. We split the kimchi fries which were incredible - the vegan garlic mayo was the best I’ve ever tried and the kimchi was amazing! The tofu banh mi was so lovely, the smoked tofu was so full of flavour! We could barely finish our meal as the portions were so big, I’d definitely go back and try the other options

I had a delicious seitan doner kebab, all freshly prepared. Super friendly service and great drink options. If you're looking for a vegan restaurant in Barcelona I would 100% recommend going here.

This is a MUST for vegans and vegetarians. The place is small, and the food is high quality. I suggest the Otono juice, and the pizzeta. My bf, who's a meat and burguer lover ate the California burguer and secretly told me "this was as good as a real burguer", which I had never heard in 4 years together 😅 so, meat or not meat, you can and should try it.

After flying across the ocean and traveling to Spain I needed a good healthy plant-based food option. I opted to go here and had a ginger green juice to settle my stomach. I followed it by a raw zucchini dish that was pretty good. I was still hungry so I ended up getting a quesadilla and it also was good. I think you can eat really healthy here and come out quite satisfied. I did indulge and have a cookie as well. Love that this wasn't all vegan joint and I would definitely come again

Best vegan tapas and cocktail bar ever! We stumbled upon this in the search of anything vegan to eat. What we found was an absolute treasure! The food was so tasty and fresh and we really enjoyed the chill atmosphere. I am such a big fan of the zoodles, normally I dont like them, but those zoodles are even better then most of the regular pasta I ate. Also the vegan cheese plate is absolutely worth a try and for me also one of the best ones I had in Barcelona. I am glad we found this place, definitely one of my fav spots in Barcelona to enjoy some nice food and drinks

This place is much much bigger than we expected, it's so much bigger than it looks on the outside, and the decor was really nice, kind of simplistic and clean. The staff was very friendly and easily communicated in English. When it comes to the food - I really wanted to like it, and I was very excited to visit this restaurant, but to be completely honest I did not fall in love with the flavours. I would still recommend it, because the food was interesting-looking and interesting-tasting (I tried three different rolls) but for me personally it wasn't something I'd love to eat again and again, I guess maybe my taste buds were just not ready for a revolution. :) (What I mean is for example combining carrot with peanuts in one roll). Also, my partner has many allergies and is quite picky with food, and he asked for one ingredient to be removed, but the staff said that it's not possible. That's why I'd give it 4/5 stars.

Incredible vegan sushi experience. We ordered the karage appetizer twice because it was that good! I highly recommend the Geisha roll! It was incredible, lightly fried with a mild spice. The Snow White was good as well.

Wow. Leaving Barcelona tomorrow and strategizing how we squeeze in one more meal here. So good! The Heura Karaaga was delicious…so flavorful, a little spicy, and crispy yet juicy. The Mangocrusion was inventive and ticked all the boxes for sushi. The Miso Ramen was just OK.

A carnivore through and through, I cannot recommend Roots & Rolls enough. The food is flavorful and hearty, especially the cauliflower popcorn and sushi rolls. The atmosphere is great for gatherings, and despite having a somewhat fussy baby, we were treated with fantastic, accommodating service from the incredibly friendly servers. I often cannot go without meat, but this was an absolutely wonderful experience!

Very authentic food, immersive ambience great service - what else you need to experience and taste the good food

This was a fantastic find. The food was incredible, and though I’m only in Barcelona for a few days I’m pretty sure I’ll be coming back here for dinner before I leave. The staff were also very friendly, and the decor is really bright and fun which I love. If you’re a vegan (it is 100% vegan, despite being called “Veggie” Garden) it’s must visit. And if you’re not, it’s well worth coming to as well, as you’ll definitely find something you like. It’s so well priced too. I had a three course meal with cocktail, and left a tip all for under €20.

If you are up for a nice mid-day vegan menu and happen to be close to Veggie Garden: Go there right now! The staff were super friendly, the food was glorious and fully vegan. Great prices and a very heartful atmosphere. I absolutely adore this restaurant.

Thank goodness veggie lovers now have a place like this right at the heart of the city! Excellent quality-price balance, their daily menu is a great deal alltogether. We liked the curries, the noodle options and the appetizers. Fresh made juices are also delicious. Staff were professional and friendly. The space could be more welcoming and cozy, but let's not not be so demanding this time 😅

So good we went here for lunch twice while in Barcelona! The menu is really big with lots of choice of large and small plates. Our first visit we just had a couple of sandwiches which were really good, including the mint lemonade which was amazing! Our second visit, we both had one of the large salads, mine was the “Japonesa” which was delicious. Definitely highly recommend as a lunch place for any vegans!

We had an absolutely incredible experience at Suculent. I’ve eaten at a lot of great restaurants, but this was easily one of the top dining experiences I’ve ever had. We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing, and every single dish was spot-on perfect. The pairings worked beautifully and really elevated the whole meal. What really made the night, though, was our server. I feel terrible because I can’t remember his name (it started with an A, he’s from South America and has been in Spain for 2 years), but he was phenomenal. His service was flawless and his personality added so much to the evening. He was perfectly fluent in English, but also took the time to help us practice our Spanish, which we really appreciated. He also gave us thoughtful recommendations on how to best enjoy each dish, from which cutlery to use to little tips on how to get the most out of the flavors. It made the experience feel even more personal and memorable. On top of all that, the price was very reasonable for the quality of food, wine, and service, especially when compared to North American standards, where you’d easily pay much more for something of this caliber. I’d recommend Succulent to anyone visiting Barcelona.

We were a group of 6 and celebrated our mother's retirement and wanted to chose something special. We opted for "Suculent" tasting menu and all of us were savouring each bite. Each and one of us were delighted by each dish. My favourites were cuttlefish with almond mild, beetroot with smoked eel, scallop and cava sauce. Jordy was our server and was personable, attentive and made us feel comfortable throughout the meal. The wine recommendations were spot on! We really enjoyed the rustic and relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant. It was a great experience and everyone was happy with absolutely everything. 10/10

Amazing little jewel in Barcelona. Originally had reservations for a local 2 star restaurant but opted to eat here instead. Could not have been happier with that decision. Had the full tasting menu. Each plate was creative and delicious. The atmosphere tastefully made to feel homey yet elegant. Highly recommend. 5Foodies for sure.

We had an amazing dinner at Suculent, we did the traditional tasting menu with wine pairing. 10/10 would recommend and go again. The bone marrow tar tar was exceptional. All the dishes were delicious. The Stingray was our least favorite.

Came for a dinner with my partner and it was some of the best food I have had in Barcelona. We opted for "The Classics" tasting menu and were impressed by each and every dish -- especially the duck croquette, red prawn, and steak tartare. The brie and vanilla cheesecake completely blown us away and was probably the best cheesecake we've ever had. Our server Jordy was attentive and made us feel comfortable throughout the meal, and we really enjoyed the rustic and casual ambiance of the restaurant. Great experience overall and would 100% come back for the full tasting menu for our next trip!

Solid 5/5, the owner is extremely nice, the food is healthy and super tasty and if you can not decide, as it was in my case, they will guide and help you choose the best option! Would definitely recommend!

We visited Barcelona for 3 nights and came here twice it was so good!! Healthy, colourful bowls with a huge variety of options which would appeal to meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. There are lots of naturally gluten free and dairy free options too. I heartily recommend it for a delicious lunch 😋

The girl serving me (Sonia) was extremely nice, warm and welcoming. We ended up making our own bowl and God it was AMAZING. Pictures speak for themselves. Enough salad, carbs and 2x protein made it the perfect salad/bowl for a girl who eats a lot!

Uk tourists! - found this breakfast spot on social media and had to try it. My partner got a turkey bagel and smoothie bowl, I opted for a smoothie bowl, both got large cappuccino’s (twice because the coffee was so good) Amazing food and super friendly staff. Will have to return before we go as it was honestly our fave breakfast. So fresh and delicious

I’ve ordered salmon bowl and burrito via Glovo. The salmon was raw and something in burrito made us sick. Raw fish and not fresh ingredients is a health hazard.

Flexbowls is one of the best cafes ever. We went twice in one day because it was so good! First time, we ordered a Green Paradise smoothie, an Organic Chocolate smoothie, a My Sweet Banana smoothie, and a medium Americano. The smoothies tasted like what we make in our own blender with organic produce from it garden and local veggie shop. The coffee was excellent. Then we came back later in the day and got: Hawaiian salmon poke bowl Mexican bowl with chicken swapped for falafel Avocado Bimi salad Veggie bagel. Everything was 👌 and I could eat off their menu for every meal of every day. Great decor with outdoor seating as well. There was heaps of vegetarian options which as a vegetarian was lovely. Everything was so healthy yet so tasty, which is sometimes a rare combo unless you cook for yourself. One thing though, the arugula in the bagel presented a slight choking hazard as it was whole leaves with stalks. It would be fine if you chewed heaps and carefully or if they cut the stalks off. The presentation of food shows great care with a messy boho vibe. Loved it! (Written by the eleven year old in the group)

The brunch and food is overpriced. Also the waiters are really rude and inattentive. I think they charge you for the location, because just a block away there are a lot of brunch places with better food quality and quantity for the same price or even less. Besides that the terrace is really nice for a coffee break or to go for a juice or smoothie.

Ordered, but never got served, even though we were sitting in plain view and there were few customers. Music too loud and the decor is a garish tropical theme. Walked out and will not give it a second chance.

Very unfriendly and unwelcoming staff (as others have already pointed out). Food was ok although "Mr quinoa" was actually more of a Mr Lentils salad! Overall the restaurant itself is dirty: tables not cleaned between clients, floors with spills. Very disappointing. The one good thing is that they are open when other restaurants are closed between ~4 - 7 pm.

Cute place with decent service and expensive food. I had the super menu which turned out to be more of a mini meal. The waitress only paid attention to me when asking me to move from my seat and interacted more with others. Not the greatest experience.

A vibrant place with tasty tapas and friendly staff. They served really quick and cared about our belongings as we had a table outside.

My husband and I visited Elsa y Fred for dinner on our honeymoon and were extremely happy with our experience. We sat at the bar, as they were busy on a Thursday night, and had the best experience with the bartender, Pilar! She was so friendly and helpful. The tapas were incredible, the wine was fantastic, and I had an espresso martini that was one of the best ever. I would recommend Elsa y Fred for authentic and high-quality tapas anytime!

My wife and I really like Esla y Fred! The atmosphere, super nice staff and tasty food makes it worth coming back. We started a kimchi croquette & a jamon croquette. Both were really good, not the typical béchamel bomb you get at a lot of places. The kimchi taste was very mild, so even people who aren't overs would probably like it. Next, we loved the cherry gazpacho w/ a big dollop of stracciatella, it was super rich and deelish. Next, we had the pastrami sandwich. Pastrami is pretty hard to find in Barcelona so we were excited to try it. It was good, but the only reason we can't give this awesome place a 5. The meat was simply kind of tasteless, in our opinion. The bread was good, but overall (ok, we used to live in new york so are pastrami snobs), we'd pass. But that said, we will definitely return and their brunch looks awesome. Go!

Not sure why they are not getting consistent 5 stars, I think they deserve all 5. Chanced upon this place on our way back to the hotel, looked cosy and welcoming, so decided to give it a try. The waitress was very welcoming, quickly got a table ready for us and urged us to get indoors quickly because it was rather chilly. Ordered their Beef Cheeks, Beef Tartare and Fish Tacos, she introduced a red wine to go with the meal. My gosh, everything was so good! The beef cheeks soft and full of flavour. Beef Tartare fresh and nicely seasoned with their own special seasoning. Fish taco was just amazing. The good service didn’t just end with the meal getting paid. She bothered to follow us out and suggested which direction we should walk, just to avoid possible trouble. Highly recommended! Thank you team Elsa y Fred!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! It was by far our best gastronomic experience in Barcelona. I asked if they had gazpacho, even though it wasn’t on the menu — and they did! With cherries and cheese, and it was absolutely incredible. The baba ganoush was one of the best I’ve ever had. The service was exceptional. We visited during a quieter time, and the staff were attentive to every detail around the place, making sure everything was perfect. We’ll probably find ourselves comparing every other restaurant to this one - it truly set the bar.. and definitely watch Elsa and Fred tonight!

We enjoyed every dish that was recommended. Do note that the menu is in Spanish however the servers were more than happy to assist. The history of this restaurant was really touching. Dedicated to his mother who loved the show “Elsa y Fred”. That aside, the food was really worth the travel.

Wow wow wow what a find. A little French twist on Barcelona. Interior was 10/10. Tomato toast was so good. We got 2 specials - beef cheeks that were so tender and tasty and the roast chicken. Both incredible. Loved it so much.

Great pintxo bar. Tried a few pintxos, and a sangria. You pick what you like from the bar, and they count the skewers at the end to generate the bill. Also order the shrimp one from the menu, which wasn't on the display shelf. Fun experience with great outdoor seating.

We were there for a chill afternoon meal. We had multiple options of delicious pincho with an ice cold Estrella beer! Loved the vibes and tasty little bites. Will definitely return the next time!

Fantastic Pinchos! Loads of options including lots of vegetarian stuff. Favourite is the anchovy, avocado & caviar combination. Would also recommend the sangria. Marking 4 stars as some of the bread was a little stale but would definitely come back.

Excellent food - very interesting concept- super foods of all types in small quantities. Joe is my main man. Excellent service and very hospitable- showed us a great time. This place is great for craft beer lovers. They have a dizzying array of options on tap and in the fridges. The bartender was a great help and passionate about the beer. I tried the spicy chips, which were a nice accompaniment. My only complaint is that some of the bottled beers were a bit warm, but they have a great staff and a lively atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back for the beer."

Wow what a phenomenal experience if it's your first time coming to Barcelona or if you're a local looking for a good food Cal Pep is the one. The quality of the food is superb there's so much variety with a lot of the dishes, since there's no menu everything is a pleasant surprise. The chefs are very skilful as each dish tastes lovely with the Catalan style. The staff were very friendly and provided good service. The ambiance is the right balance. Easy 10/10

I’m always a little anxious when I try a place with the level of renown of Cal Pep for the first time. Will it really live up to the reputation? Will the crowd ruin the experience? Will the staff betray a whiff of a restaurant that is buckling under the weight of expectations? Nothing could be farther from the truth here. This is an excellent restaurant. The service is dialed in; attentive, fast and friendly. The dishes you have heard about are as good as you are expecting. It’s not that hard to get a reservation, really. The prices are reasonable! Sometimes a restaurant is exactly as good as you’ve heard, and you get it immediately. This is a place like that. Don’t miss it!

Absolutely perfect! The food was outstanding, and the space felt authentic, warm, and charming. However, it’s the staff who truly deserve the most credit for making this such a phenomenal experience. Their kindness, attention, and genuine hospitality made us feel completely at home. This is something everyone should experience — a shining example of what true hospitality should look like. Other hosts could definitely learn from them!

They didn’t provide a menu for some reason, which was a bit unusual. The food was salty, but overall very tasty and enjoyable. Our server, Peter, was incredibly friendly, humorous, and attentive — truly an outstanding staff member. The iron gate at the entrance opened exactly at 7:30 PM, and many people were already waiting in line beforehand. The house wine was affordable and paired very well with the dishes. The place filled up quickly, and soon there were people waiting inside as well. Overall, it was a lively and memorable dining experience.

Deserves 5 stars across the board. Incredible service and even better food. Ingredients were so fresh and the highest quality. Waited approx 40 minutes but were able to order a drink while waiting. Very worth any wait!!

Absolutely incredible tapas restaurant focusing on only the freshest ingredients expertly served. Our servers Sofian and Oscar were top notch and made excellent wine suggestions allowing us to enjoy excellent Spanish wines with the most amazing tapas.

Extremely good tapa place in Barcelona, for me, one of the best in the city. There are not many sits available, so I suggest getting there very early or making a reservation online. The prices are not cheap, but they are worth it. The service is very fast.

Located near the beach but sufficiently away from the crowds. A few more fans in the terrace/tent to cope with the summer heat would’ve been nice. Service was pretty good and attentive. Appetizers were mostly delicious. The portions were pretty large (even though stated for two people). The peeled prawn paella was delicious. But we were unfortunately disappointed with the fideua that felt rather overcooked.

Very amazing and welcoming hosts who got us seated right away. We got an inside seating and the AC inside was very refreshing to say the least.They were very kind in responding to our emails as well and were very very accommodating. Jairo was amazing and was our host for the noon. He got our orders evenly spaced out and as well kept checking on our needs and as well replaced our plates and silverware in the midst to make sure we got to taste the prawns and the octopus afresh. We ordered only the starters as we were late into our lunch and had an early dinner scheduled for the evening. We got the Zucchini carpaccio with cheese , garlic carbinero prawns and galician style octopus with potato slices and the pardon peppers. Delicious would be an understatement and these starters were to die for. Made perfect in balance and harmony amongst the ingredients and the spices and very very very fresh. Do give them a try and thank me later!!

Can Majó Restaurant – Barcelona 🌊🍤 If you’re in Barcelona and don’t eat the seafood paella at Can Majó, you’re missing out. Hands down one of the best seafood paellas of our lives. We were lucky enough to sit right on the beach — toes in the sand, wine in hand, watching the sea while that golden paella hit the table. Unreal. The service was great, the reviews don’t lie. Walk all the way down to the beach, get a table outside if you can (or beg for one), order the seafood paella, a cold bottle of Spanish white, and just be happy. Pure Barcelona magic.

Absolutely fantastic experience! Can Majó offers authentic Catalan seafood at its best — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The paella marinera was outstanding, full of rich taste and fresh prawns. The service was friendly, the atmosphere relaxing by the sea, and every dish felt like a piece of Barcelona’s soul. Definitely worth 5 stars!

Still it’s one of the favorites when visiting Barcelona and want a good local place to go on a family Sunday lunch . The tarte tatin is the perfect size to end the day . Soft and exactly how it should be.

It took us 2 years to get a reservation at this restaurant so we were definitely looking forward to the experience. I am happy to say that the experience met our high expectations. While the decor itself is somewhat minimalistic it was a treat to see the different work spaces/kitchens and get an explanation for each. The service was well coordinated and the staff had great attention to detail. Each of the 28 courses was creative and beautifully presented. We were very happy with the diversity of flavors and textures. Hopefully we will be able to get a reservation to return next year to try a different menu.

Disfrutar was founded by three chefs from the legendary El Bulli, and its name — Disfrutar, “to enjoy” — perfectly captures its philosophy. Here, the experience goes far beyond flavour: it becomes an immersion into time, memory, and emotion. In 2024, Disfrutar was awarded three Michelin stars and crowned The World’s Best Restaurant, quickly becoming one of the defining symbols of contemporary Spanish gastronomy. I saved this place — the world’s No.1 — as the final stop of my Europe trip. And to be honest, while the concept and format are fascinating, the theatrics often outweighed the actual flavours for me personally. Some dishes were genuinely delicious, but others leaned too heavily into showmanship at the expense of balance. Their caviar, in particular, consistently carried a strange brininess. Take Pachino: the fried bread is crisp and airy, soft and slightly sweet inside — yet the overly fishy caviar disrupts the entire bite. Similarly, Amaranth Coral opens with a pleasant seaweed aroma, but the saltiness and fishiness become overwhelming. That said, Disfrutar also presents plenty of dishes that are both tasty and distinctive: Mushroom Leaf Crisp on the bite with the depth of a concentrated mushroom broth. Macaroni alla Carbonara A playful reinterpretation featuring transparent pasta. Salty, aromatic, and full of cheese, cream, and ham flavours. The biggest surprise was Calçotada — sweet, crisp, almost like an elevated Spanish version of scallions with dipping sauce. The warm broth is savoury and comforting. The dessert courses were the true highlight of the meal. Each dish carried its own charm, not only delicious but delightfully imaginative. Cucumber A refreshing sorbet that tastes like sugared cucumber, with a hint of ginger in the ice. The Homemade Cider deserves special mention — intensely apple-forward, sweet and tangy. Most unique of all was the Black Apple, showcasing apples preserved under vacuum at different stages. The flavour is gently acidic with a lingering sweetness, soft and delicate — a genuinely memorable experience. Despite its imperfections, and although Disfrutar is not the kind of restaurant I would choose purely for flavour, its originality and ambition deserve real respect. If you believe that dining is about more than just taste, Disfrutar offers an experience worth seeking out. It’s the kind of restaurant you may only visit once, yet continue to reflect on long after the meal ends. “Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.”

We did the special Live table experience and it was amazing. The service could've been better though, no one really smiled or engaged with us much apart from the dish explanation, and the guy that was explaining the dishes had pretty bad pronunciation and we couldn't understand most of what he said the dishes had. It's one of those situations when they're not speaking for you to hear what they're saying, they just wanted to say it. The live table experience's appeal is that you have a private room with the chefs and waiters and the finale experience with the desers is from another world, really well done!

Disappointing. Had very high expectations but unfortunately the food didn't deliver. We choose the old menu, I'm not sure if it's still there to that day.. Except 2 dishes that were excellent, the Yolk and the Bun with the caviar that was one of the best bites i had in my life, the rest was nothing special. You feel so full half way down and it's just too much food they have to reduce the number of courses. The atmosphere is Cosy and very nice. The level of service is Top notch can't get better than that.

Seems to be one of those places where you don't want to meet your hero again. We had an extraordinary time due the first visit, but for this second tour we tried the 'new menu' as opposed to the classic and felt this story fell apart. We started with Disfrutar style dishes then halfway through with the Panchino the oil temperature wasn't quite enough for the outer surface of the bun so it was slightly greasy. The banana flavour from the Feijoa was too potent, lacking harmony. From here onwards, other then the golden egg dish which is their take on a Singaporean curry crab dish, there weren't any more surprises. For drinks, it was too humid for me to have wine so I ordered a mocktails and the Citrus option was very refreshing to have with the meal, acting like a pallet cleanser along the way. On service, I was disappointed they set on to our table the coulant and ice cream dish for my partner when the ice cream was partially melted and almost slid off the plate as the waiter set the plate down. Another personal experience I had was an annoying fly that I kept buzzing my table and I kept swatting during the later half of the meal. Not sure if the staff could have done something about that, otherwise the dishes arrived at a good pace never feeling rushed or too delayed.

28-course lunch, and most of the courses were fun and delicious. It took 5 hours for our group to finish, which sounds comically long, but I was never bored and found the portion ultimately perfect. Most service was excellent, but service for the wine pairing was infuriatingly frustrating. There wasn't a single course where the sommelier told us how many courses the wine paired with, so for most of the wines, we would either finish the wine before some of its intended pairings came out, or still had not tried it when it was time to move on to the next wine. I asked the somm many times but he never told us up-front. One time I asked him and he walked away and shouted an answer with his back to me. Another time I got out of my seat to find him because he didn't answer when I'd asked; another staff member asked if I needed help, so I let him know the question, and he gave me the wrong answer. Per person costs: lunch 315 euros, wine pairing 170 euros, water was 4.10 euros per bottle, and a 10% charge was added to everything.

Disfrutar is easily the most inventive restaurant I’ve been to — visually stunning and full of playful, unexpected techniques. However, the creativity often came at the cost of flavor. Many dishes felt like reimagined classics (e.g., puff pastry made from…rice papers) that looked super interesting but didn’t taste as good nor hold it shapes as well as a regular puff pastry you’d find in a corner shop. Service was excellent, but overall, the experience was more about novelty than deliciousness. Overall, the quality of the food is more or less the same as some 1 star restaurants I’ve dined in, so it’s not inedible. Left feeling like I’d just gone to a food museum than an actual restaurant. Not worth the 1 year wait for a table! If you want good food, go to Cocina Hermanos Torres or ELL Cellar.

Yusset was phenomenal. Hands down best meal we had in Barcelona. Amazing vibes and the food was outstanding!!! Great paella, the oysters were super fresh and the fish presentation out of the world. A must visit for anyone in Barcelona.

Great restaurant with a view on the ocean and heated terrace in autumn. The fish and seafood were fresh and perfectly prepared. Amazing location overlooking the beach. They offer a wide range of fresh fish and seafood. We opted for the black rice paella, which was delicious. The burrata salad was very nice with the fruity twist.

Place is right next to the beach and it has got a nice view while you can enjoy your meal and watch the sea. The foods were so good and very tasty, cooked well also. The deserts were average, personally I didn’t see anything special about them, but it is the opposite for the seafoods. If you’re into seafoods, I would recommend you this place

Some of the best food we had in Barcelona. We liked it so much we went a second time! The grilled pork cheeks were absolutely brilliant. Nice and smoky, there’s a good barbecue at the restaurant. Snails paella and cuttlefish black rice were fantastic as well. Excellent service as well. Massive thank you, you made our trip to Barcelona so much better!

A super popular place. It is overcrowded, so I would recommend a reservation. We were lucky we found one free table. The waiters are super fast and polite, they have an open kitchen, so you can see the cooking process. If you love seafood, this is the place to go. If have eaten the most tasteful and consistent paella. Good price per money overall. Tasty beverages.

We had dinner here and overall loved what we tried. The paella was excellent—properly seasoned, generous, and full of flavour. The snails were also a highlight: well-prepared and really good value considering the size of the portion. The service was very friendly, staff seemed genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere is interesting and cozy, the décor and vibe feel local and authentic, though the air felt a bit stuffy and warm once the restaurant filled up. Portions are massive for the price, which made dinner feel like a real treat. If you go, maybe visit a bit earlier or at off-peak times to avoid the heat. Would recommend to anyone wanting hearty Catalan / Mediterranean food in a relaxed setting.

Went here specifically for the menu del dia, it was amazing! The servers were warm and friendly, they were kind and patient with me although my Spanish was very limited. The food was delicious and I'd definitely come back again!

This was already my 4th time at this place. I travel more and more for work nowadays, but unfortunately, I don’t always have the time to visit every trip. Whenever I do, though, it’s always my favorite stop! The food and the people are what keep me coming back – both are outstanding. The tasting menu is still a must, and the wine pairing makes it even better 🙂. This time I came with more colleagues, and they loved it just as much. The staff are so kind, welcoming, and always make you feel at home. Highly recommended – still my top spot for lunch or dinner in Barcelona!

We have been traveling for 5 weeks across Europe and this was in our top 5 dining experiences!!! We did the tasting menu and everything was so delicious, so plentiful! The staff and service was absolutely fantastic. Without even speaking (most staff is deaf) they provided the best service! We don’t know sign language or Spanish and felt better taken care of by them then any other restaurant… mind blowing! And the food was beautiful and delicious. A must visit, highly recommend!!

Ziryab is an absolute gem of a fusion tapas bar. We ordered a little bit of everything, and honestly, every single dish was fantastic. From the bacon-wrapped dates and croquettes to the cheese and meat plate, hummus dip, cod, and risotto, everything was bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. You can really taste the creativity and care that goes into each dish. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff were just as impressive as the food. Everyone was warm, attentive, and made great recommendations that helped us try a mix of classics and surprises. It’s one of those places where you could easily stay for hours, sipping wine and tasting your way through the menu. Highly recommend Ziryab for anyone who wants a delicious, relaxed, and memorable meal in Barcelona.

We went to this superb restaurant on our first night in Barcelona. Situated in the gothic quarter it has atmosphere before you even enter. We went for the tasting menu which gave us a bit of everything. The starting plate had 2 cups of vermouth which is a traditional aperitif in this region. It was good and we both enjoyed trying it. The olives were sweet and not bitter and the tortilla chip was very good. Then it was fresh pita with dips, all good. The tapas plate was tasty with patatas bravas and a great assortment of tasty bits. The chicken was ok but not my favourite part of the meal. Finally we had sweet treats and they finished the meal of superbly. Overall I highly recommend this delightful restaurant, we went around 1830 and it wasn't busy but gets busier as the night goes on. Book to make sure your get a table.

We wandered by the restaurant and the vibe was so charming - exposed brick, small arched entryways, and bare wood ceilings. The food was fantastic and the service was fast and friendly. They have a sign language tutorial at the back of the menu because one of their servers communicates only in sign language. I love that level of inclusion. For food, we absolutely loved the caramelized leek, bacon, and goat cheese dip with their warmed little pitas. I would say this is a must-try for Barcelona.

We had the pleasure of savoring their elaborate tasting menu while complementing it with their expertly curated wine pairing selection. Priced at 38.50€ for the full tasting menu and 19€ for the wine pairing, we were treated to a spectacular variety of tapas that truly paid homage to the diverse culinary traditions of the Mediterranean. Our gastronomic journey commenced with a delightful vermouth and a tantalizing bite of toasted chip adorned with flavorsome cumin, beet, and tomato tartar, accompanied by a generous serving of marinated olives that my dining companion thoroughly enjoyed. The arrival of a basket of homemade pitas alongside an enticing array of homemade dips, ranging from labneh with garlic and lemon to smoked eggplant with caramelized pistachios, set the stage for the culinary wonders that followed. The subsequent wave of delectable offerings included pork belly with date cream, apple and ras el hanout croquette, halloumi with pomegranate and mint vinaigrette, puff pastry rolls with sabrosada, and harissa potatoes, each a symphony of flavors in its own right. Opting for the divine lamb pitas as our main tapa choice further heightened our dining experience. We rounded off our epicurean adventure with a divine dessert selection featuring mini baklavas, orange saffron fritters, Greek yogurt panna cotta with strawberry coulis, and praline date with chocolate. Beyond the extraordinary culinary delights, the standout feature of our experience at Ziryab was the exceptional service. Our server, who happened to be deaf, expertly assisted us through the menu and wine pairings with such warmth and attentiveness that it added an extra layer of charm to our dining experience. It was heartening to see other deaf servers on staff, creating an environment where guests, including those who were signing to communicate with their companions, felt especially welcome. This unique touch made our visit even more personal and engaging, leaving us with a lasting impression and a desire to share this extraordinary dining destination with our loved ones.

I stopped in as a solo guest, no reservation, and had the best night out of my time in Barcelona! They said I could do the tasting menu as a solo guest, and I was ecstatic! The food was amazing, wine pairings were phenomenal, and the service was outstanding. Every bit of this place is perfectly done!

We came here on a recommendation and the place did indeed look really inviting and cozy. Lots of seating in different styles, a young crowd, wonderful service. We ordered a dessert that looked really, really good. Unfortunately, it wasn't tasty. It was very disappointing to take a picture of the dish that looked like a million dollars, but the taste was far from it. The rest of the dishes may be good. In any case, a pleasant place to sit.

It’s dark inside, which I love; cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The food is classic brunch style, well served and tasty. The service could be a bit more attentive, but overall it was good.

Saw the good reviews and walked in the cafe. I wanted something light and the staff, Asia, recommended Hummus. Asia is so kind to accommodate my request to add a porched egg. The food was very delicious and really made my day.

Great brunch spot. We got the açai bowl and the french toast. The açai bowl was delicious, great consistency and toppings. The french toast was tasty, but it was only one piece of bread, I feel like for the price it could have been more. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive.

Amazing coffee place with a good breakfast and lunch menu. We had the burger and eggs Benedict with salmon and avocado, definitely worth a try! Food is great and they put imagination into it, Im posting the picture of a burguer, but before that we tried some other goodies such as home made croissants with different fillings and more. The staff is súper nice and cheerful, and they speak many languages aswel.

When we arrived in Barcelona, we wanted to have breakfast and decided to try Federal Café. Honestly, it was the worst Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had, it was overly salty and had a strange taste. I could barely eat it. My friend had a sandwich, which he said was fine, but since I didn’t like my Eggs Benedict with salmon, I decided to order a portion of French fries with ketchup. Unfortunately, they were just as bad. Even though the portion was large and looked nice, the fries were awful, and the ketchup had a very strange taste. The service was also poor. Only one person was working across two floors, and he barely spoke English, which made communication difficult. Overall, I do not recommend this place if you’re looking for a good, tasty breakfast with decent service.

A 5+ star experience lunch with amazing food, some great wine and incredible service from our server Samir and the Sommelier.  We had the 10 course Menu Degustacion … with appetizers and petit-fours it was more like 14 courses.  Along with some decaf coffee's it stretched out over sublime 3+ hours. Samir's professional yet approachable manner enhanced our experience significantly.  Our favorite dishes were the hamachi and oysters with cucumber, the prawns and barnacles with pineapple emulsion, and the marinated venison was the best I've ever had - which I told the chef when he visited our table at the end of our meal. Just brilliant.

Lasarte offers a beautifully polished dining experience, with flawless and attentive service that truly enhances the meal. I have to highlight the breads served, which was genuinely one of the best I've ever had—such a delightful surprise! It's a bit ironic that, despite the exquisite tasting menu showcasing premium ingredients and refined techniques, my standout moment was the humble bread. While I recognize the skill and artistry in the dishes, I found myself hoping for a more memorable and unique experience that would leave a lasting impression, especially given the restaurant's three Michelin stars. Overall, it was a lovely evening, but I left wishing for that extra spark that would make for a memorable and an unique 3 Michelin star meal.

After ticking off several of Spain’s Michelin three-stars, I made my way to Lasarte, a restaurant serving refined Italian-leaning cuisine. The service was excellent — the head chef even greeted guests personally at the entrance before service began. The dishes were solid overall, but the true standout was their jamón brioche. I could easily have eaten it nonstop. Canapé ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The tempura was hot and crispy, though quite oily. The cream had a pleasant tang with a bit of bean-like crunch. Inside the crisp shell was a jammy egg, incredibly soft, complemented by the saltiness of the caviar. The second bite had extremely high acidity — almost too sharp — though pairing it with the kimchi at the bottom helped a little. Appetizers ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fresh fish with crispy elements and a hint of citrus. The beef tartare was fragrant but fairly average. Their signature foie gras had a sweet caramel shell; the sweetness and fruit notes kept the foie from being too heavy. The fish in the center carried a gentle smokiness. Bread ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Butter presented like a rainbow, and the jamón brioche was wonderfully aromatic — soft, savoury, and easily one of the best breads I’ve ever had. Mushroom Curd ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The artichoke was mild, but the combination of bouncy mushroom and razor clam textures was enjoyable. The mushroom flavour stood out beautifully. Fennel ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Savory, milky notes with a light touch of fennel aroma. Squid Tartare ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Crisp, springy, slightly sticky squid, lifted by the sweet-tart apple sauce — excellent balance. A5 Wagyu ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional beef with luscious fat. The scallops were fresh, though the quality of the uni felt a bit average. Duo of Carabineros ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Firm, sweet, savoury shrimp with concentrated flavour. Crustaceans Ravioli ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lobster and mushrooms were crisp and bouncy; the cheese on the ravioli was subtle and melded well with the seafood filling — rich and full of flavour. Roasted Besugo ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Crispy skin and tender sea bream flesh. Venison Loin ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good texture, no gaminess. The doneness could be even more precise. Slightly sweet sauce with a gently sour finish. Pistachio ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Yogurt with pistachio — a bit too heavy to follow a sequence of main courses. Baba Spheres ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bright, citrusy, and refreshing — light and elegant. Petit Four ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Raspberry piece was sweet-tart but slightly too sugary. Tiramisu had nice coffee and cream notes. This is a completely honest and valid review, not an exaggeration, I promise. TL;DR based solely on the food for those too impatient to read the whole story- the food is "good" but not great whatsoever. Three Michelin stars be darned, a large number of dishes completely missed in a big way. And for the outrageous price tag, it is AT BEST a 2.5 or 3 out of 5 stars. So why am I giving it 1 out of 5 stars? My wife became violently ill after the meal, likely from food poisoning. The restaurant refused to even respond to my attempts to contact them. Introduction: bad first impression, so the place doesn't open until after 8pm...but our reservation was for 8:00 so we arrived 10 minutes early, naturally, and waited almost 30 minutes to be seen and seated. Drinks: we are not much for alcohol. My wife ordered a mocktail which was essentially apple juice mixed with 2 or 3 other elements that were completely lost and indistinguishable behind the apple juice base. That didn't stop them for charging us €18 for it. I asked for a beer menu, but the waiter insisted he recommend me a beer based on my preferences. I said I like German and Belgian style wheat beers. He recommended a pilsner...and it becomes apparent he doesn't actually know anything about beer, so I politely declined and ask for a local Spanish Lager instead. It was just okay. I wish I actually got to see a full beer menu. Appetizer: we ordered the tasting menu. The first bites and appetizers are mostly pretty good! The mushrooms and clams appetizer was tasty. The fennel was interesting, not bad but nothing special. The shrimp tartare tasted like almost nothing, which is honestly fine with me given that it was raw shrimp. The steak tartare also tasted like nothing, which was a shame because I love steak tartare. Bread: I hated the bread service here. They have 6 different types of bread, 5 types of butter, and a house made olive oil. All that is great. The main problem is they portion the bread out for you 1 to 2 pieces at a time between courses. You never get a chance to try a type of bread more than once, and if you get a type that you don't like then you're just sort of pressured to eat it anyway. Why does the customer not have the liberty to get all the bread at the table and once to taste and portion themselves their favorites? I experienced far better bread services at 1 and 2 Michelin star restaurants in the past. First courses: the courses here really struggled to land for me. The sea cucumber and octopus were alright but nothing special (there is a theme here). The "pineapple 5 ways" dish was utter slop: it was a contrast of texture and temperature preparations of pineapple that confused and annoyed the palate as opposed to tantalizing it. The scallops were fine but the mucousy base textures in the sauce surrounding it were offputting, to say the least. The ravioli was the best of the middle courses, it was al dente and delicious, and the foam around it gave it a nice textural contrast. Main course: the biggest miss of the night had to be the pork trotters. When your menu only has 2 main "meat" dishes and one of them is a piece of pork that is 90% fat and collagen, then it feels like a cheap experience. I like fatty meat as much as the next guy, but this "meat" ate like a foreign delicacy that locals would enjoy, not a main dish at a 3 Michelin star restaurant. Horrifyingly bad dish. The venison, in contrast, was absolutely delicious. Best venison I've ever had. Dessert: my favorite dish of the night might have been the white chocolate and pistachio dessert. It was amazing and unique. The second dessert was called "baba spheres" and that was pure nonsense. The spheres were tasteless, not sweet, not herbaceous, not bitter. Nothing. The petit fours were also just okay. Verdict: I've had better experiences at 1 Michelin star, 2 Michelin star, and fine dining restaurant without any stars across both Europe and the world. This restaurant completely ruined my trip in Barcelona. After dining here, for three consecutive days, I suffered severe diarrhea, vomiting, and fever. It likely came from either the undercooked barnacle or the rare Corzo meat. Instead of showing any concern, the staff denied responsibility and refused even basic reimbursement. For a 3-star Michelin restaurant, the arrogance and indifference were shocking. The place may look nice, but the people behind it showed no care for their guests.

Exceptional! That is a word I would use to describe this restaurant. All of our courses were well curated and fantastic. The wine pairing was extremely thoughtful. The ambiance and staff were also fantastic. This was the best way to start our honeymoon!

We were unsure what to expect at Mont Bar, but it is terrific and we highly recommend it. We ordered à la carte, as the tasting menu seemed a lot of food at lunch time, and I think we had just the right amount. The dishes are stunning — the subtle combinations of flavours, ingredient and texture are excellent. The staff are fantastic — very friendly, helpful and with great senses of humour. Loved Mont Bar!

Unbelievable gastronomic experience!! Simply outstanding dishes! A must visit one Michelin star restaurant (as of October 24th 2025) in Barcelona which most certainly and definitely deserves at least TWO Michelin stars. You will not regret going to this place.

Intimate restaurant offering spectacular dishes in a tapas style with some French, Italian, and East Asian flare. Staff were very friendly and accommodating of allergies. My personal favourites were the chicken skin and squid sandwich, the savoury mochi, pigeon, and nori ice cream sandwich.

If there are more stars, I will give more. I have been going to Michelin rated restaurants across countries. Just by the quality of food, they are ahead of many 1 star. My friend and I have ordered ala carte, as we already had a drink and snack before coming. This restaurant managed to blow us away. Highlights are the razor clams, cherry dessert, "petite four", and pigeon. In particular the cherry dessert - probably the best dessert I have ever had in Europe. The service was amazing - my friend and I were sharing mains and they portioned and plated our food separately. The price tag isn't low but it's worth it. Will return when I visit Barcelona again.

Quite possibly the finest restaurant experience in Barcelona. From the moment we walked in, the attention to detail was palpable. The service was impeccable. The sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable, providing a detailed explanation how they went with each tasting. The wait staff was so detail orientated, they each knew all there was to know about each portion they presented. And by wait staff, I mean we were treated by 4 different professionals, not counting the sommelier. The food was impeccably presented and each bite awakened my taste buds like very few chefs have. This is not my first Michelin star restaurant. If you visit Barcelona, it's a must try if you value culinary masterpieces. Definitely experience the tasting menu along with the wine pairing. You will be blown away!!

Great cozy bar with exquisite cocktails. On the night we visited there was only one guy working who I assume is the owner. He was very attentive and you can tell he loves what he does. The bar was soon full to capacity after arriving, we didn't see any long waits for drinks or small dishes. Lovely bar, we will hopefully return in the future!

We entered early, it was a bit slow but we tried it anyway. Ordered the pork nachos and mamacita, Bite the pepper for a surprising mellow melon taste with a heat finish. As an american a nice experience. Tasty! And the bar tender was welcoming and accommodating. Fun music, Good start to the night!

The best place I've went,the hotdogs that's served there is absolutely amazing,I didn't have anything to drink at all,but by what I've seen you have a ton of choices to make for drinks,and he also let's you chose what you want to put in your drink,the barman was extremely gentle and kind,he does everything in front of you at the same time as he talks to you,it's extremely comforting and a good place to go if you are hungry or want something to drink,or maybe even both. I highly recommend this place.

Fun little bar located in the Barcelona alleyways of the Gothic District. They specialize in hot dogs and flavored Cuban rums. The bar is tiny and the staff is friendly and quick. The hot dog was really good, just maybe too much bread. If you like hot dogs and or fruitier drinks, definitely visit The Box. They also have nachos and other alcohol besides rum.

This is a gem of a place. Every dish we tried was packed with flavour and beautifully prepared. The staff was very attentive and thoughtful. Before serving anything, they asked about allergies and brought in gluten free bread for me. Solid 10/10.

The food here is unbelievable. The salmon tataki with miso and orange was so unbelievably delicious. Beef and octopus are also very good. Hazelnut espresso martini was tasty! Service was excellent. This place truly deserves a visit.

Tasty fusion food. Love the egg plant with pineapple and soy sauce. The sea bass cervichy was refreshing and the duck with curry was perfect.

Authentic with some fusion, but all of it, fantastic, it's like family - you can't choose which is better. The sangria and lemonade "TSB" we had was amazing. The atmosphere and decoration was really nice and gave it a homely feel. The owner was very inviting and friendly, witty and helpful, offering a lot of advice and recommendations. The waitresses were attentive to our needs, friendly, polite and smiling - I can't mention them specifically by name because I didn't get their names, but if they're cute, then it must be them. We did have to wait for a while because we didn't have a reservation, but it was worth the wait, just like visiting again would be - it could be a great reason to travel all the way to Barcelona. Loved it 🥰

I have mixed feelings about our night at Cinc Sentits. There were some really special moments, and some things that for the price point weren’t so great. I will say that when we made the initial reservation the price online for the full tasting menu was around €169 pp. On the date of our visit the full tasting was €220, quite a jump without notice. Nowhere on the website does it say the price changes seasonally with the menu. They also offer a “light menu” option for €20 less. We asked the difference and it was three courses less than the full tasting and the full tasting would last around 3 hours. Pros: the food was absolutely spectacular. I’ve truly never tried dishes that were so innovative and full of flavor the way they craft their plates here. The wine pairing also was a nice accompaniment to the food, and being able to try wines from Catalonia without having to pour over and choose ourselves from the extensive wine menu was great. The service was also very attentive for certain aspects of the meal. Our water was always full, and the presentation of the dishes was really informative and thorough. Cons: The time. Even though we ordered the light menu, and got 3 less dishes than those with the full tasting we were still at our table for 3 hours, coursed out with every other table. The wine pairing, while nice to have, was at the end of the day only 2 and a half glasses of wine for over €100. I wish we had gotten one more type of wine. The appetizers didn’t include a pairing and the 3 desserts only came with one. Also the ambiance of the restaurant was very odd. There was no background music playing at all, so if you ever weren’t talking it was silent. It felt like you weren’t allowed to chat. Also the aesthetic of the restaurant felt cold. Maybe if there was music playing it might have warmed it up. But when you’re sitting for 15 minutes or more in between courses with silence because no one around you is speaking, it’s a strange feeling and makes the price you’re paying even more apparent. At the end of the day, the food is incredible but I’m not sure that outweighs the negatives of the experience or the hefty price tag.

We had high expectations for Cinc Sentits after seeing its Michelin 2-star rating, but sadly, the dining experience tonight was far from what I would expect from such an establishment. Food Quality: The dishes lacked standout flavors and creativity. The duck was so tough it was almost impossible to chew, let alone swallow. The sardines were extremely fishy — one of us couldn’t finish the dish — and because it was served early in the menu, it set a very poor tone for the rest of the meal. Nothing in the progression of courses redeemed the experience. Service: The service team, while friendly and well-meaning, did not operate at a polished, professional Michelin level. Most of our servers spoke very limited English, so I understood only about 10% of their explanations, which greatly diminished the storytelling element that is usually a highlight in fine dining. The way plates were presented and cleared also felt unrefined for a restaurant of this caliber. Ambiance & Décor: The interior is minimal to the point of feeling cold and uninviting. There was no warmth, charm, or special atmosphere to elevate the dining experience, and nothing about the setting stood out as memorable. Overall, I left feeling disappointed and questioning how Cinc Sentits earned its 2 Michelin stars. I do not recommend this restaurant based on my experience, and I wish I had chosen another place for what was supposed to be a special evening.

We were a group in the show room which was an interesting experience. The 220€ tasting menu of a two stars Michelin restaurant could be better balanced(maridaje de vino 125€ plus), we felt like slightly missing a main meat dish compared to the full set of desserts… All the food was creative, elaborate and sophisticated including seasonal ingredients. My second occasion dinning at Cinc Sentits and the experience was once again superb. We choose the longer menu with the wine pairing and I strongly encourage you to do the same. Remember this experiences usually take time so be ready to expend 3+ hours enjoying your dining experience. Service was professional, knowledgeable and friendly which we love. We will definitely be joining again and can someone please add this restaurant to the Worlds 50 Best.

I went here one time with a bigger group and really enjoyed the experience. 2 years later came back with my fiancee for a celebration, expecting another incredible evening, but the truth is we went back home quite disappointed. Let’s start with the good things first. The food is from a high level and is very beautifully presented. The design of the restaurant is great and very modern with a touch of the Catalan feeling. We were welcomed in a super warm and friendly manner and the first bites in the separate area before entering the restaurant are incredible. So, why were we disappointed? The atmosphere in the restaurant is super cold and distant. It feels even a bit awkward to talk because it is so silent inside. The waiters inside the restaurant didn’t give us a friendly feeling at all and made us feel like we were not welcome and kind of a burden. They are often just standing there on the side and were not helpful in any way. Also the chef/owner didn’t appear at any point in the evening, which made it again less personal than it already was. This is especially strange because they want to make the menu look like an experience in which you follow the different episodes in the life of the owner. Finally, we asked for the bill and they were bringing it to our table with again a not-friendly attitude and just told us “service is not included”, then immediately waited with the payment terminal to see what tip you would give. This is for a two Michelin star restaurant really unacceptable and made us leave with a very bad feeling like we were just used to squeeze our money. The price is already very high for what you get and this comment is not really making that any better. Overall disappointed and we will not come back. Sad, because after my first visit I really had the opposite feeling.

First of all, Central Europeans will be pleased to know that you can arrive at Cinc Sentits at 7 p.m. and already get something to eat. The restaurant is located in a side street not far from Placa L'Espanya and looks completely inconspicuous from the outside. Guests are asked to arrive on time, as the appetizers are served in a pretty, dark antechamber in front of the actual dining room, which only has room for a few guests. (This is my subjective opinion about the food served. The rating refers to the expectations one might have (I have) of a restaurant in the one-star category. +/0/– should be self-explanatory) The experience starts with appetizers in this interestingly designed room modeled after a forest, with a trio of olives, smoked trout, roasted chicken sandwich, and a vermouth-sake cocktail. (0) After the change into the elegantly furnished and spacious dining room, another trio of appetizers is served, consisting of tuna belly, foie gras, and Wagyu. Everything is delicious, with the Wagyu praline with tartare, caviar, and fermented cream standing out—and, served on October 3, even featuring this guest's national colors on this guest's national holiday 😊 (+) The first course looks beautiful (and) colorful, with the salty sardine balanced by vegetables and fresh cucumber foam. (0) The next course is all about tomatoes – it's nice to get really good-tasting tomatoes, but as a course in a 2-star restaurant, I find it a little unoriginal and bland. (-) At Cinc Sentits, the bread also deserves a mention: both the brioche (with noisette butter) and the sourdough with two olive oils are fantastic. According to the recipe card, the Palamos prawn is the “star of the (next) dish” – and it is, with its perfect texture, but it has to be, because neither the bland broth nor the fennel foam contribute much to the flavor. A little disappointing. (-) For me, the make-or-break course: white fish. Today it is Atlantic salt cod with artichoke purée and a jus to bathe in – one of the best fish courses in a long time – the texture and delicate flavor of the fish are breathtaking (+) The ingredients and their integration into the next course are presented with additional information – which I find interesting and cool. The red wine I requested should have arrived by now, but unfortunately it hasn't appeared (the sommelier apologizes and means I should have asked again for the wine, because I had something else left to drink on the table - strange) The meat course (for which the red wine was expected) is a letdown. The duck is not as tender as it should be and may have been left on the pass before serving, as the temperature was much too low, at best lukewarm. The flavor is good, but in my opinion not at a 2-star level. The pre-dessert—a drink that has been on the menu since the restaurant opened—is delicious and does what it's supposed to do. The first dessert is a creation with variations of fig. Since I've never been a fan of figs due to their texture, I'm a little biased. (0, because my aversion is not the restaurants fault) The main dessert falls into the category of “style over substance” – but the presentation is really fun and it tastes good too (0). The experience ends with four delicious petit fours. Overall, even though I chose the extended menu with two additional courses, it was the first time for a long time that I left a gourmet restaurant still feeling a little hungry. I was really surprised when the waiter told me the duck would be the last savory dish. In the end, the experience was nice but not on a high as expected. The issue with the wine… three out of five not so good plates… its not five (Google) stars, but better than four. In the end, I left a little bit disappointed, so the final result is four.

I have been excited to try this place for a long time since it has been recommend a lot and I had very high expectations. The staff is very attentive and friendly, and the location is very nice. We had red cabbage, miso eggplant and pimientos as starters and I had a curry as a main with a vegan mango mousse as dessert. The food was overall good, however for the price (17 euro for a cauliflower) and the hype I expected more flavours. Considering it is a vegetarian restaurant I also expected more and better vegan options. Overall it was a nice dinner but for me nothing out of the ordinary special in terms of flavour

Really cool vegetarian and vegan restaurant serving healthy mostly plant based meals. I was recommended to try Sesamo by a friend and was very glad I did. They were very nice and able to seat me (a single diner) on a week night and service was relatively fast. Absolutely LOVED the burrata on brioche with peaches topped with pistachios - so innovative but delicious. The ginger lemonade was also very refreshing. Would dine again, 10/10.

Very nice vegetarian restaurant. I had mushroom croquettes, goat's cheese ravioli and a mango mousse. All were really good. Also they gave me a gazpacho shot for free which was tasted great. Staff were very nice and patient as I tried to order in Spanish. Would come back to try more dishes.

Wow this was a really great experience and I give this place five stars. We walked over from las ramblas. We came on a really busy night but they handled everything really well. The server looks like Carlos Cuevas! We got the tasting menu and with my friend having some allergies, they adjusted it to fit us perfectly. They were Really accommodating for food allergies and of course no meat in sight, also great as my friend is vegetarian. The food was all fantastic. Every dish that came out was better than the last from the pumpkin soup to the mushroom croquettes, the cheese fondue thing, the cauliflower, the cabbage, the gnocchi, and the cheesecake that’s the Spanish tarta de queso style not too sweet and more savory. We also got beers, coffee and an additional dessert. The flan, oh my god! The flan with dulce de leche was so freaking amazing they must stir sweet milk for eons to get this rich texture, holy cow! I should also mention the tables next to us all were super friendly and talkative, we made new friends and got recommendations which I think says a lot about the atmosphere and vibe in general. Thanks for the best time ever in Barcelona!

This place was 10/10. The food was perfectly timed out. It was rather quick, every single dish we ordered was incredibly delicious. They gave us a couple samples of the soup of the day to start which was really good too. The gnocchi was fresh and perfectly cooked. The roasted cauliflower was the show stopper here. It’s got lots of flavor and is cooked to perfection. Our server was very attentive and had a wonderful personality. There wasn’t one thing we ordered we didn’t like. This restaurant is great for ANYONE not just plant based eaters. You won’t be disappointed.

I had the best experience here!!! We did a walk in and were sat right away. The food lived up to the hype, it was DELICIOUS. I got the seafood paella, mussel casserole, and desert. For a high end restaurant, we paid half what we would have at a similar quality restaurant back home. The ambiance of the restaurant is so cute. Can’t recommend this place enough.

The service was magnificent, the staff was very friendly, they also been helpful in explaining the dishes. I came for lunch here with my fiancée for her birthday, the staff made themselves available for a little surprise during dessert, we really enjoyed it. All dishes were tasty, the sangria was fresh and well done according to the Spanish tradition.

Location also easy to reach, may it be my walk or bus transpo. Your Paella is literally cooked at the moment. Fish was fresh and good selection of wine too!

I would highly recommend Mana 75. They are know for their paella which did not disappoint! We sat in a very comfortable booth facing the kitchen. It was great to watch the chefs at work, manning so many dishes at once. We had the set menu which is €45 for 3 courses and I believe it is great value for money. The food is delicious and the staff are very attentive.

Paella was really good! Love the design of the restaurant as well. At first we booked the terrace thinking it won’t be hot, as we came during the summer, so we changed to indoors which was much better. Amazing to see the open kitchen with the infinite amount of paellas as well

We ordered 2 different paella and none tasted good. The place is really nice and it's location is also very nice. The price is not expensive but it not cheap either. The price of the paellas are per person. The service is not the best. They take your order and never come back to check if you need. anything else. We had to keep flagging them down to ask for stuff.

We heard of this place and it was also recommended by a friend and the experience was definitely worth it. The restaurant is so pretty (chairs are really comfortable), staff was professional, efficient, welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious, we picked the menu with appetizer, paella, dessert and coffee and everything was great. We spend about 50€ per person and it is a reasonable price for the whole experience. We would definitely come back and recommend it!

Really nice atmosphere and lovely interior. It felt like being a guest in their living room. While preparing the food they had such a good vibe. It felt like they do your food with good intentions, i loved that. And the dish was so delicious and so big that i ate the rest for dinner. Great sandwich shop in the city centre, very tiny and cash only (no card) but great value and taste. At busy times they make you wait outside and the queue and order system is a bit chaotic but the service is good and makes up for it. You have a variety of fillings for the sandwiches (around €6) that are freshly grilled (and warm bread!) and can add lots of salad and cheese. They have large platetters too (around €8). Recommend the beef and chicken. Nice music and toilets available if you manage to get seating. Halal and veg options if you have dietary requirements. Definitely worth a trip if you are in Barcelona!

Had the chicken sandwich here and customized it with feta, olives, red cabbage, and salad, turned out absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh, and the flavors worked perfectly together. What really stood out is the value: the price-performance ratio is outstanding, especially considering the quality and portion size. It’s a small spot, but it feels original and authentic. Inside, there’s a good fast-paced vibe, yet it still manages to feel welcoming and lovely at the same time. Definitely a hidden gem for anyone who loves a great sandwich at a fair price. Superb taste and super value. We had sandwiches, beef and tuna, so much flavour 😋 We took a 30 minute bus ride back there today and had the same but on a plate. As the pics show, the presentation and value is fabulous. Thoroughly recommended 👌 😋😋😋

There’s a kind of quiet respect I have to give to any establishment that can generate this much buzz around a sandwich. Not since Jared sold us all on the virtues of Subway has a place selling sandwiches generated this much hype over putting fillings inside a bread roll. To their credit, Bo de B is making much better sandwiches than Subway. We arrived before they opened and I joined the initial group of 3, by the time the first staff arrived, it had grown to 10 or so people. As they lifted the roller doors, we got our first glimpse of the “cash only” sign. I had to leave and get some cash, when I returned instead of being at the front of a group of ten, I was at the back of a queue of 20 people. I messaged the people who told me I had to come, and they re-assured me that it was worth the wait. As we waited, one of the staff came up and down the line repeating it was cash only, unlike me, those who left, I didn’t see come back. By the time I’d finished my sandwich and left I’d estimate at least ten people left because it was cash only. They obviously don’t need the money, or the benefits of being a cash only business outweigh it. I asked the Bo de B guy if he knew where to get cash out, all I got was a simple “no”, this was repeated by other staff when others asked. There are some ATMs in the area, so I found it weird they were so obsessed with being cash only, but then didn’t want to help people to find it. I assumed from this that they must really believe in how good their sandwiches are, and how keen people are to get one. Standing outside next to a construction site that has apparently uncovered some ancient city ruins, you will have time to think about time. I could smell refuse from nearby garbage bags on the opposite corner of the street, the other dominant smells on the street outside were urine and weed. There were even a couple of guys smoking some in the line, I assume hoping the munchies would kick in around the time they got a sandwich. It’s a lot to ask of a hungry person in 33 degree heat. As the 40 minute wait mark came, I messaged my friends again “are you sure this is worth it?” They said it was, so I stayed. Once inside, the service was friendly, as they went about their business with a geriatric efficiency. As they open and close the under counter fridges, sometimes without taking anything out, 80s hits like ‘Eye of the Tiger’ and ‘Jessie’s Girl’ blare through a speaker, so they raise their voices and laughter to be heard over it. It all somehow suits the vibe, and seems to work well for them. They even sell merchandise, but my experience left me not needing to buy the t-shirt. The sandwiches themselves are good. Nicely baked bread, good amount of fillings, and overall a satisfying enough experience. I was told I “had to” get the patatas bravas, which are also good. I wouldn’t say necessary - but if can jag a table inside and feel like them, order them. I am very willing to admit that having stood outside baking in the sun longer than their bread would in the oven, and with the long queues, the cash-only thing, the competing street aromas, and the hype, that I was expecting something closer to “great” than “good.” We got the beef and the chicken and shared half each, they were both okay. I love getting recommendations, but it’s not a revelation or a revolution, but it is a good sandwich. If you’re in Barcelona and feeling like a sandwich - Bo de B makes a good one. But don’t take my word for it, if you’re reading this you know what to expect, so: bring cash, manage your expectations, aim for an off-peak time, know that there are only a few tables inside and there is no guarantee you’ll get one. Potentially you will be wandering around eating your sandwich on the streets of Barcelona, so maybe stake out a place you can sit nearby. Bo de B absolutely delivers a good product. Anyone generating any buzz deserves it in the hospitality game. Would I go again? Maybe. Am I glad I went once? Always

No frills tapas spot that’s perfect for a quick lunch and a favourite of Anthony Bourdain. Seemingly loved by locals and tourists alike, they offer a short menu of simple specialties that are certain to hit the spot. I had the fried anchovies and tomato bread topped with sausage. The service was excellent and straight to the point. Seating is limited so some choose to stand and eat at the bar. A must visit for anyone traveling to Barcelona.

A tiny but very cosy and authentic place not far from the shore. The place is buzzing with locals having beer or local wine. There are only 4 tapas available (fried anchovies, toast with anchovy, toast with sausage, tomato & onion salad) but all four very tasty, especially the fried anchovies. I highly recommend!

La Plata is awesome. Super friendly and chill place with really tasty tapas. Nothing fancy, just simple food done really well. Great value for money too. — will definitely come back next time Im in Barcelona!

It's a great place. It's a very small and cozy place. Sometimes you have to eat standing up, but it's worth it. The tapas are delicious and very cheap, but the portions are very small. Only local people come. It is not well known to tourists. You can have a quick bite and continue spending time in the old town.

Suppose to be Anthony Bourdain’s favorite place to visit in Barcelona. Just 4 items on the menu so while it’s nothing fancy, the food is really homely and there’s lots of locals dropping by for a quick bite before heading off. Nice place to grab a bite in the gothic quarters before heading out to walk around.

This restaurant has a lot going for it, but it didn’t quite hit the mark. The ambiance is sleek, with dim lighting and modern decor that screams date night. The staff was polite, though they seemed a bit frazzled when the place filled up. I appreciated the menu’s variety—there was something for every palate. However, the food was a letdown. My dish was well-cooked but lacked any real zest, and my friend’s meal was similarly uninspired. The drinks were a highlight, crafted with care, but the meal itself felt like it was missing soul. Service slowed down as the night went on, which was frustrating. It’s not a bad place, but it needs a bit more to stand out. I might try it again, but no rush.

Came here on a Thursday night. It was not crowded at all. Ordered different tapas and cava. Everything was delicious and the service was stellar. If you come, spend some time interacting with the workers there. They were super kind and offered great recommendations. The price was a little on the high end for the portions, but the quality was fresh. Really enjoyed our time!

Found this place on TripAdvisor hoping to avoid tourist trap restaurants in Barcelona. The place has a really quirky feel and is decorated with vintage electronic equipment on the walls! It does have a bit of a musty smell at first, but it passes! You know it's a local place (which is what we wanted) when they don't have an English menu, but the waiter patiently explained it in English for us. The food was very good, and reasonably priced. I would recommend this place if you want to avoid tourist trap food!

I had an enjoyable menu del dia here! First course came with a gazpacho and buckwheat cream parmesan pasta. Personally not a fan of gazpacho so i cant comment on that but i did enjoy having a healthy and homely buckwheat pasta. For the second course, we ordered a sea bass and chicken/pork schnitzel. The sea bass was nicely grilled but there was too much bones! so it made it difficult to eat. The schnitzel on the other hand had cheese oozing out of it so it was definitely enjoyable. Dessert choices were decent, nothing spectacular. Nonetheless would recommend you to try this place! Turns out that there is a different menu del dia every day so that you won’t be bored of eating here!

I had a wonderful experience at this café! The staff were incredibly friendly and spoke English very well, making everything smooth and welcoming. The food tasted fantastic and was served quickly, which was a big plus. The atmosphere is pleasant and cozy, making it a very comfortable spot to relax. The café isn’t very large, so it might not be ideal for big groups, but it’s perfect for a quiet, comfortable visit. Highly recommended!

The food was delicious, flavorful and the presentation was chefs kiss. It taste unlike anything I’ve had in America. I appreciate the flavor profile. We got the French Eggs with bacon , Macho Iberico Benedict with chicken, Pancake Party and French Toast with bacon

The atmosphere was pleasant, and the coffee was excellent. We also had fresh juice, which was delicious. For breakfast, we ordered the Eggs Ibérico Benedict, served on a bun with baked potatoes, and the scrambled eggs with avocado and salmon. Both dishes were well balanced in flavor and truly delicious. We left feeling full and satisfied.

Overrated and Underwhelming. Came here for brunch after hearing great things — left disappointed. Let’s start with the service: painfully slow, despite the café not being busy. The only saving grace was our waitress, who was genuinely sweet and friendly. Drinks took forever to arrive. When the food finally showed up, it looked good, but that’s about where the positives end. I ordered the American pancakes with extra bacon. The bacon was so overcooked it was basically inedible I couldn’t even cut through it. The egg wasn’t runny, the pancakes were just okay, and overall, the dish was a flop. I had to send it back and order something else because I was starving. Ended up getting the wrap with everything in it and it was actually decent but I was honestly starving at this point. My sister ordered the truffle chicken burger with potatoes and a side of avocado. Visually, it was impressive. The potatoes were delicious, but the burger itself? Dry, bland, and disappointing. Total bill was €49 — definitely not worth it. Only reason this place is getting 3 stars is because of the kind waitress. Otherwise, it’s a strong 2. Wouldn’t recommend, and I won’t be returning. The place is smaller than the pictures and too cramped.

The food was amazing. The waiter was handsome. The place is very Instagrammy And I love the pancakes. The eggs are really good. The bacon was good and we got the mimosa tower, which was really great in the bathroom. Smell really good! I would highly recommend!

Food was good. Wish there were more savory options. Service was not great or attentive. The table next to us waited 20 minutes for someone to even acknowledged they were sitting outside. We originally sat inside and there were 4 flies flying around us before we even ordered which grossed me out so I went to sit outside instead.

The atmosphere is great and the restaurant is overall nice. The first guy that took our order was attentive and serviceminded, giving us some good advise regarding which wine to choose. However the guy that then served us and stood in the bar at the outside patio seemed like he didn’t want to be there or something. The food was really good but not amazing. Unfortunately this was our last day in Barcelona for this trip so we didn’t get to try some of the other steakhouses to compare. If I should give one tip to others it would be don’t get the fries. They may seem nice on the picture but they were NOT crispy at all. Overall we were happy and full.

This restaurant is quite upscale and expensive. True to its name, Solomillo specializes in their signature dish, with a variety of options to choose from—all of them absolutely delicious. Highly recommended, but be prepared to splurge!

This place is absolutely an upscale and nice restaurant with the quality of food, drinks, behavior off staff and the ambiance. You can find many different types of meat, different breeds and cuts. Everyone speaks very good English yet alone our host Ana was a very nice lady explaining everything in detail and giving to-the-point recommendations. We were very happy with her professional and spotless service. We tried 4 different types of meat each 125gr portions and then decided to order another 250gr of Rubia Gallega (some people may not find it compelling because of its intense flavor but I loved as a carnivore trying different meats all over the world) We did not fall in love with the red wine we tried but it was a totally different brand and grape we just would like to try so that's totally OK. Prices are not cheap but I think it totally worth it.

A carnivore’s dream. The staff was very helpful and actually kept us from ordering way too much food. Every bite was delicious. We had the A5 wagyu and it was delicious, very well priced. The steak tartar was also a great addition. The whole meal was top notch. The restaurant was not crowded and we basically had a server at our side for the entire meal.

Visited on a weekday at 8pm and the restaurant was quite empty with only one other table. 2 more tables got seated before we left Service was very, very professional and good! The appetizers and sides were all excellent and well executed It was also great being able to sample different cuts since you can order small portions of 4oz. We tried the Frisian, Rubia Gallega and Buey. The R. Gallega and Buey had very, very intense flavour, almost game-like. Personally I did not enjoy it as I don't enjoy gamey meats like deer or venison. However, you might enjoy it. The Frisian was my favourite as it was not gamey and more like the steaks I usually like. Toilets are clean and well equipped Overall a very enjoyable dinner experience

⸻ If you are planning to tour Casa Amatller anyway, this is a perfect spot to have lunch. The ticket includes your meal, their famous chocolate dessert, and the full house tour, so it ends up being a great value. The food was fresh, the chocolate is truly worth trying, and the whole experience feels very “Barcelona.” If you get the option to sit outdoors in the little courtyard, definitely do it. It is peaceful, pretty, and adds so much to the atmosphere.

Faborit is a nice cafe in Casa Amatller. The chocolate was very good with bread given. I also ordered a Cacao latte it was very good and there was a big size. Tasty and worth it. I had a free drink coupon that was scanned but it did not make the drink free when I asked about it I was brushed off. Did not receive a free drink. Besides this I would visit again.
