Lido is a well-known chain of budget-friendly restaurants in Riga, offering traditional Latvian cuisine and home-brewed beer at an average cost of 10 to 25 EUR. Founded in 1987, Lido has become a symbol of Latvian culinary culture since the country's independence in 1991.
Went with our 2.5years old son and spend 3 hours there. He enjoyed some games, the waters and the food. It's definitely a solution for families 👪 with small children if you are in Riga

I visited Latvia for the first time, and if you're looking to experience local food, this is definitely the place! There was a wide variety of choices, and the food was delicious. The atmosphere is amazing for kids. I would definitely return.

This is one best food places in Riga. Do not overload your plates and your tummy will be happy afterwards! Affordable and very tasty. Can get busy and peak times but plenty odnspace to sit down outside and downstairs if weather not on your side. Highly recommended! Everyone will find something for themselves.
Must come place! Huge variety of high quality food items including vegetarian meals. In one place you could try Baltic, Latvian, Russian, Ukrainian, Scandinavian dishes. And you won't believe how affordable they are! Three stories high, free parking, free public washrooms. Incredible architectural design - all wooden structures, made from huge logs.
Latvian famous restaurant chain, it is a must do when visiting Riga. The food is ok, don’t expect 5 stars meal. It’s an affordable self restaurant place and the food is good for canteen style place! Pleasant experience
If you love noisy organized chaos and endless choices of food, snacks, desserts and drinks then Lido is your place but not for those of us suffering badly from gluten sensitivities. Of course there are gluten-free options but the information you have to check it carefully yourself and the contamination risk is very high if you're extremely sensitive to gluten. I settled for a glass of gluten free strawberry mousse in vanilla sauce which was absolutely delicious and filling, worth a revisit as well. The place is large, huge, a really vast area with different kitchens and menues. The building is divided into many different sections and the patios in a variety of many brightly decorated exteriors, similar to an amusement park. Lido is also easily accessible by public transportations from Riga city center. Very easy to get there by any bus or trams.
Well worth visiting for the food alone. I was there "between the seasons" so not all the bells and whistles going on in the yard theam park. The food is good and so plentiful. The self service almost make it hard to choose among so many dishes. Suitable for all ages.

La Kanna is a trendy and artsy restaurant that offers classic Italian and Mediterranean dishes with a spectacular view of the vibrant city center. The menu includes a variety of options such as chicken, lime leaf, and lemongrass soup, bacon fried with goat cheese and fresh tomato salsa, beet carpaccio, warm bread, risotto with fresh salmon and spinach. The restaurant also has an impressive wine list and serves local beers.
I came here for their lunch special (only weekdays) and was impressed about the quality and size of the portions for only 9.5 euros. It is definitely well priced lunch and also delicious, will definitely return when in Riga next time. The only down side was the wait time between the starter (soup) and the main dish, about 25 minutes. Other than that, excellent!

The food here is delicious, the menu is pretty small and there is not much choice but what they do have is very nice. The waiter was rushing us with everything despite the restaurants being almost empty. What i enjoyed most is the atmosphere - it is a very cozy vibe and has a very aesthetic interior which is perfect to have good conversations.
8/10 Very interesting experience, me and my girlfriend came in off the street as we didn't know where to eat today. We where immideatly greeted by the waiter and sat down. As we got the menus I was delighted by the rich selection of food. The only problem was that the waiter kept bugging us and coming every other minute asking if we are ready to order again and again. We felt really rushed, this was a pattern throughout our experience, the waiter was very pushy. The food was absolutely amazing, although I don't recommend this for picky eaters the foods all have very very rich and flavourful tastes. A culinary experience but I can't say I'm eager to come back. Overall I would definitely recommend. :)
Fortuidously stumbled across this place while searching for "restaurants near me", what a divine inspiration it was. The food was incredible. Casper is a lovely human being and fabulous waiter. He provided recommendations and took very good care of us. Most respect to the Chef, you could tell from his food that he is passionate about what he does. We had the Burrata, the Civiche, the Pasta a Potato Pancake and the Strawberry Mousse with Olive Oil marinated Rhubarb. Wow! We'll definitely be back. Our small group went here for supper the other evening. We visited this restaurant quite some time ago and looked forward to our return. We were greeted kindly by staff and seated near the bar - comfy seats. The waiter took our drink and starters order and had them to our table very quickly. Both the antipasti plate and buratta were very good. We ordered our mains and enjoyed a few drinks while waiting. The waiter (also our bartender) was very friendly. He was suggesting drinks to suit our tastes and took time to explain how they were made. When our mains came out, the first thing to notice was the care taken for the presentation - they looked great. My risotto was rich and delicious, with the rice done perfectly. How good was it? Others at the table ordered one to share after their meal hahahaha. My wife's steak was cooked perfectly and tasted great. I would have to say everything was perfect at this point. The dessert choices were not quite what we were expecting. The chocolate chip cookie was a bit hard (almost like biscotti). The peanut butter cookie was good. I did order one of their main dessert selections - the Rhubarb Mousse. It was definitely something different - just not quite what I was expecting. Overall, this evening out was a great meal. The atmosphere, the food, the drinks, and service were great. Thanks for a great meal.
I visited this restaurant for lunch after reading several positive reviews, and I have to admit, the ambiance did make a good first impression. The interior is nicely decorated, with comfortable seating that creates a pleasant atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the reputation. I ordered the rabbit leg, which was completely lacking in seasoning and felt bland overall. The portion size was quite small compared to the price, making it feel overpriced for what was offered. The coffee I had afterward was also disappointing… Just average at best.
On top of that, the staff didn’t come across as friendly or welcoming, which added to the underwhelming experience.
Overall, I left surprised at how different my visit was compared to the glowing reviews I’d read beforehand. The ambiance is lovely, but the food and service definitely didn’t match the hype.

Small place with inside/outside seating (outside seating consists of 3 tables). It has low-lighting and cozy chairs creating an intimate atmosphere. There was only one waitress and she was hustling the entire time attending to every table. She was very polite, warm and accommodating. Having said this, I was felt rushed - not because she was busy - but because that is the vibe here. As for the food, I was not impressed. The edamame barely had any salt so I was essentially eating plain steamed edamame - no flavor just texture. The tuna tartare was unimpressive. The sweet potato puree was cold tasteless as was the tuna as it was thickly sliced and therefore the center was refrigerator-cold atop the cold puree and pesto. The highlight of this place for me was the relaxed vibe and cozy space. I would not recommend.

A highlight during my time at Riga. I was lucky enough to score a reservation and had a very early dinner. The space was charming with different sections, food has a modern twist to it (e.g., fish soup had notes of lemongrass to give it that freshness). Loved the layering of flavours and the playful aspect when eating bread. Highly recommend.

3 Pavaru Restorans is a top restaurant to visit in Riga as per multiple online lists. It was also recommended to visit by one of my tour guides. Therefore I made a dinner reservation here during my recent visit to Riga.
There is an a-la-carte and tasting menu here. We went with the tasting menu as it seemed a very good option to try out the various dishes the restaurant has to offer. There are a couple of complimentary amuse bouche courses before the 6-course tasting menu starts. There was also an extra palate cleanser course before the 2 main courses. Among the tasting menu items, my favourite items were the scallop and lamb courses.
Service was fine. For drinks, we just ordered a couple of a-la-carte drinks from the drinks menu. For those interested, there is an alcoholic and non-alcoholic pairing available with the tasting menu too.
In summary, this was a good dining experience. If you are spending 3-4 nights in Riga, this is a good place to choose for dinner during one of the days.
If you’re looking for a restaurant with real values, seasonal food, and a place where every tiny herb is picked with care - this is it. I adore it. Wow! What a fantastic restaurant! Put this on your Riga ‘must visit’ list. This is a special occasion, rather than an everyday place but as a treat, it’s reasonably priced. The food was exceptional, with a wonderful surprise to start with off a sheet of different homemade sauces and gorgeous homemade bread to dip in. The service was absolutely top notch - thoughtful but not at all fussy. Great vegan options! (Photos show the artistic sauces and my starter. Forgot to take a pick of my main).

Fazenda Bazārs in Riga offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere with its rustic decor and mismatched antiques, reminiscent of a grandmother's house. The budget-friendly menu features soups, salads, pastas, and a must-try marzipan ice cream cake for dessert. While some have found the food to be excellent with incredible coffee, others have experienced mixed feelings due to long waiting times.
Great place, its' strength is open air terrace, which will make your meal during summer months especially unforgettable. ☀️
The prices are bit high, but the food and service are worth it! Caring and polite staff will assist you.

If you want to get away from the tourists and enjoy a typical local restaurant visited by locals, then this is where you want to be. Along with the most friendly resident dog, the service is warm and friendly, the food is really good and the wine great. Reasonably priced and away from the tourist traps. Great food in a very relaxed atmosphere, with super helpful and gentle service from Annetta. The beef cheeks were amazing with comforting mash and the caramelised apple pie with pistachio ice cream was something else. Come here if you want great, but unfussy food, in a relaxed environment.
Had an amazing char risotto, the service was also very attentive, maybe because the place isn't overrun by tourists. Despite being a bit outside Riga's Old Town, the place is incredibly welcoming to tourists. English menus were available, and the staff spoke perfect English fluently.
Sitting in the outdoor area behind the restaurant and enjoying dinner during one of those famously long Baltic summer evenings was a great experience.
Highly recommended for anyone willing to take the 10 minute tram ride from the city center, its worth it to get a more culinary local vibe.

Lovely little neighborhood spot! Will definitely go back; superb service, friendly and Friday night live DJ with ambient music to match the mood. Delicious coconut and chicken soup, herb crusted chicken filets, and yummy cocktails. Hoping to make this place a regular haunt of mine…for those driving in, there’s an easy parking lot next door with available spots.

Skyline Bar in Riga offers a unique Sunday brunch experience with live music and breathtaking panoramic views. The brunch menu features a wide variety of dishes including salads, starters, fish, meat and cheese appetizers, hot dishes like pizza and soup, as well as an array of desserts such as pancakes, waffles, croissants, eclairs, and more. In the evening, visitors can enjoy craft cocktails while taking in the stunning illuminated cityscape.
Our group stopped in Sunday for their Brunch - amazing! Definitely book in advance - every seat was full. When you arrive, there is a coat check and then a very nice hostess to seat you. There is a complimentary drink (Mimosa), and the layout of the buffet is explained to you. There is absolutely no rush to your reservation - lots of time to relax and chat with others. There is a great coffee station at the bar, and other drinks can be ordered from their menu. The food and dessert areas are in the back area of the lounge - delicious choices for anyone. From poke bowls to roast beef to vegetarian options - perfect. There is also a large starter and salad area if you are in the mood for a lighter fare. As for the dessert area, second and third trips are necessary hahaha. Overall, it may seem pricey, but taking in everything, including the very talented live two-man band playing for hours, this is a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon - especially enjoying the best views in the city. Located on the 26th floor of a hotel, this place offers incredible panoramic views of Riga. The service is friendly and professional, and the cocktails are not only delicious but also beautifully presented.

Skyline offered views that easily justified one visit, with a wide panorama across Riga that looked especially sharp at night when the city lights were out.
Beyond the view, the experience was much less impressive. The bar felt dated in its layout and atmosphere, with very little energy in the room.
On the evening I visited, it was quiet to the point of feeling empty, which took away the buzz you expect from a rooftop venue. Drinks were competent. Service was polite & nice.
The bar gave the impression of having had better days in the past but now being a space that people go to once for the view rather than as a place to spend the evening. It was fine for the outlook, though the experience itself was flat.

I just came for a drink. The place is located within the Raddison hotel, just take the lift to the 26th floor. You can choose where to sit and a waitress comes to take your order. Variety of cocktails which were nice. Yes it’s pricier than other places but you’re paying premium for the lovely views and cute ambiance. I recommend to sit on the left hand side when you enter the bar for better views at night.

Free to access with incredible view all around. I only had a beer, which was 8 euros. The tables with the best views were all taken, but as soon as one freed up, the lovely staff made sure I got one and could enjoy it. They were very nice and helped make it extra special.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Riga! I like the way the staff is taking care of you, the overall quality and atmosphere, great dishes with wonderful serving. Even the tableware set is super beautiful. I was during lunchtime when no reservation required, however it is highly possible you won’t find a place in the evening without reservation. Overall great experience with intention to visit this place ones again.

One of the best restaurants in Riga I’ve tried so far. It is on the pricier side, but the quality of food, service, and overall experience makes it worth it. Came to Riga on a Business trip, and glad I could experience this place. The food was exceptional and the service was excellent. All courses were fantastic and I liked how the waiter gave me a sorbet to cleanse my palate in between my starter and main course. Definitely will come again when I’m next in Riga!
We just stopped in for a quick bite. We didn't look at any reviews or anything... just picked a place "near me." We were pleasantly surprised... the food was great and so was the service. We actually stayed a little longer than we originally intended to, but the drinks were flowing and the atmosphere was laid back... no rush. If you get a chance, you should try this one out.

Visited this wonderful place in Riga with my daughter — such a warm and cozy atmosphere! The interior is thoughtfully designed, and you instantly feel at home.
My daughter had the burger — absolutely top-notch, and I went for the pita with chicken and falafel — very filling and delicious. The dessert is now officially one of my favorites!

One of my favourite food spots in Riga! This time we tried grilled octopus, sweet potato fries, and falafel. Everything was tasty, but those fries were next level – crispy, sweet, just perfect! Super happy we got a table outside too as the weather was amazing. Definitely a must if you’re around!
had dinner here with a few coworkers while staying nearby at the AC Hotel Riga. it’s just a short and convenient walk from the hotel. The atmosphere was welcoming, and we opted to sit outside, which was a great choice on a nice evening.
I ordered the lamb kebab and really enjoyed it, it was flavorful, tender, and beautifully presented. Everyone at the table was happy with their meals, and the entire dining experience was very enjoyable. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which added to the positive vibe of the evening.
Overall, a great spot for a relaxed dinner with colleagues. I’d definitely come back again!
Party of 4. All dishes we ordered were very good and very well prepared. Starters were great and main courses were excellent quality and generous size. The young waiter ( with short hair ) looking after us was very good. The restaurant was busy however with only two waiters serving he was able to look after us very well. Cocktails were very well made and both local draught beers were excellent. The restaurant is simple but welcoming.
Very Nice Place with oriental dishes. In the heart of the art nouveau district of riga. You can sit outside and enjoy the great view. The dishes were tasty, innovative and good. We also had nice Cocktails as a start
Incredible spot. The food was amazing. Ordered the falafel pita, sweet potato fries (perhaps best I have had in a long time) and a sauce. 10/10 would come again. A young woman was my server, attentive, helpful and friendly.
Best falafel in town. We absolutely loved hummus, falafel, chicken shawarma & knafe. If you are craving mediterranean food then this is the place to go. Our server Chris was very attentive and food came relatively quickly.
Space Falafel was a highlight, offering some of the best casual food of the trip. Stacey, who looked after us, gave outstanding service — friendly, attentive, and clearly proud of the food being served.
I liked this Israeli Resturant so much that I went there TWICE for breakfast during my stay at the nearby AC Marriott Riga hotel.
The falafel was crisp on the outside and soft inside, the halloumi was grilled perfectly with that great Sudanese red sauce, and the hummus was smooth with real flavour. Same goes for Babaganouj,
The cheesecake at the end showed the same standard, rounding out the meal on a high note.
The portions were generous, and everything was served quickly without losing quality. The atmosphere was casual but welcoming, making it easy to enjoy the food without distraction. It is the type of place that shows how simple dishes can be elevated when done with care.

Really amazing, fresh, bagels. Friendly, speedy service. I had the prosciutto in Modena and the melon shards totally lifted the flavour.
Juices and smoothies are gorgeous and freshly made.

The bagels here are freshly made, chewy and so satisfying! Great to have so many vegan options. However, on our second visit they gave us regular cream cheese instead of vegan cream cheese so just be super careful when placing your order. Would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for this mistake. We took it back to our accommodation to eat so it was too late to let them know.
Absolutely amazing selection of bagels. Highly recommend you try this place. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options to! Reasonable prices. My favorite was the Vegetarian in Barbados!! It is quite crowded in the mornings, took my order to go and ate at the hotel.
This is a small sandwich shop serving everything on a bagel. The food is great and reasonably priced. There isn't a lot of seating so it can get crowded during peak times but it's definitely worth it. I had the BLT and it was delicious. And they were kind enough to hold the mustard and cheese, which came standard.
This little bagel place is amazing. The place itself is really cool - check the ceiling out. The coffee is excellent, the bagel options are excellent and the staff are amazing.

A good spot for brunch - they have plenty of dishes and they serve them until 3pm.
I've been here 3+ times now and the food is always delicious and plenty. I was actually surprised it was so good, definitely beat my expectations.
All brunch dishes are between €10-14 and come with free coffee, but... it does taste like free coffee. Not great, but drinkable. Nice touch anyway.
The service is the biggest downside unfortunately, usually not very polite, all mostly russian speaking.
But I'll still be returning for brunch!
Had a lovely breakfast here! I tried the cottage cheese pancakes – they were absolutely delicious: soft, fluffy, and perfectly balanced. 🤩👌🏼The portion was generous, served with sour cream and jam. The croissant with salmon, egg, caviar, and cucumber was from the display case not a main menu, but still very tasty. Along with a cappuccino made with plant-based milk, the total was around €20.
Highly recommend this place for breakfast! Their deli food for takeaway is also great! Especially the potato gratin, which is wonderfully creamy, with thinly sliced potatoes and a layer of carrots on top.👌🏼
The only thing that felt a bit confusing was the menu, it was given in Russian, and when I looked for the Latvian version, I first found the English one, while the Latvian option was hidden at the very bottom 🙄

We were pointed to a table where we can sit when asked if they had place for two people. The place was quite packed with few empty tables.
Ordering is done by the counter and you pay once you place an order.
Drinks were brought quite quickly although the waiter did forget to bring milk for my black tea.
Food is tasty, also didn't need to wait long for it.
I got "Zemnieku brokastis/Countryside breakfast" which reminds English breakfast and this was really tasty. Waitress did say that they are out of mushrooms, but agreed to put extra potatoe pancake on the dish.
My partner got Tuna tart, it was ok, nothing special although presentation looked nice.
And for dessert we got the cottage cheese scones/pancakes and they were amazing. Loved them, soft, moist enough, tasted only after cottage cheese, didn't feel any flour presence.
The place it self is interesting, most of it is with tables but one part resembles a convenience store where you can buy a lot of different drinks and takeaway food (or it's food on display that is served as a part of what you ordered, didn't quite get this).
Facilities are spacious with lots of light. A lot of stone is used in interior. Also for table surfaces, I froze my hand a bit while sitting by the table on the surface 🤷, weird experience...
The place is some 10 minutes walk away from any public transport and is most easily accessible with car.
Cosy and delicious place, where you can eat one of the best “Egg Benedict” in town. And afterwards you can do a grocery shopping right in the Mils cafè. Always up for all the trends (Dubai chocolate, Raspberry chocolate and so). Highly recommended!

Hacapuri Meitene Restorāns in Riga offers an authentic taste of Georgian cuisine. My friend recommended me this place when he was in Riga. Finally I visited and I should say that it is the best Georgian food in all Baltics (not exaggerating). Portions are big and it's very delicious. Owner is also very friendly and attentive. I'd highly recommend!

First of all - they do not have a toilet! Idk how it is possible - but there it is. Pretty uncomfortable especially taking in account that some of the dishes you have to eat with your bare hands.

Outstanding Hačapuri, delicious and with a really good size. Nice service from the waitress and the terrace is chill. The dessert was great too.
That’s for sure one of the best Georgian places I’ve ever been to 🤤 the lady, who also runs this place, cooks absolutely delicious food - it’s the most authentic Georgian food I ate in Europe so far.

Incredibly delicious food and extremely friendly people that made you feel right at home! When we first came in from the bitter cold, our lovely waitress even moved the space heater closer to our table and made sure we were warm enough. She also gave us excellent advice on what dishes to try and instructions how to eat the Hačapuri the right way. We were even given an extra glass of Georgian wine so that we could try both the dry and sweet offerings. Excellent service, tasty food, and definitely worth a visit!
This place is amazing 👏 I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to try delicious authentic Georgian cuisine, I had to adžāruli hačapuri and the manager explained how to eat it properly. It was incredibly delicious! The owners are so nice and very passionate about their craft. It's very affordable, especially considering the portion size! Will definitely come back 🙌
The khachapuri was tasty and in big portion. However i felt that adding marinated chicken didnt improve much the taste, only cheese is better. Also I hope they can add more dish options in their menu.
Ate lunch here, the most authentic Georgian food in Riga. Really made me remember our time in Georgia. The food was delicious, interior lovely full of eye catching things and staff super friendly. Prices reasonable.
