Restaurant
Bantayan Burrito Company is a popular dining spot in Bantayan Island, known for its Mexican cuisine. Located near Amihan Beach Cabanas, it offers a variety of delicious burritos and other Mexican dishes. The restaurant has garnered positive reviews for its food and service, making it a must-visit for those exploring the island's culinary scene.
What is there not to like about this Bantayan gem? Simply amazing. Let’s start with the food. Probably the best meal I’ve had in all of my journeys in the Philippines. It comes down to fresh ingredients and care in preparation. I’m astounded their team can make this level of food in the size of the kitchen they have but my fried chicken tacos and the brisket chimichanga were out of this world. Thanks to the owner for the recommendations. The beer was ice cold, complimentary chips and salsa (thanks again to the owner) and the service was prompt and friendly. The owner is a great guy. If you see him hanging on the patio, strike up a conversation. I hope this place never closes, I’ll be back again and again. Cheers from this Canadian to Bantayan Burrito Company. Can’t wait to try other offerings.

Tex-Mex is the Philippines?? Yes you got that right and it is phenomenal! I’ve had a variety of dishes from the burrito to the steak and chimichangas. Everything is made fresh daily and the meat is imported and marinated. The margaritas are blended with perfection and a very balanced drink with a side shot also . The atmosphere is homey and an open area . I will be back most definitely

Hands down, one of the best Mexican spots I’ve tried in the Philippines! The portions are generous, the nachos are an absolute chef’s kiss, and the burrito? To die for. Every bite was packed with flavor. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough — 10/10, would smash again and again!
Camisha E — Google review
We found this Burrito company as Google recommendation and it truly did not disappoint. We were surprised how huge the ribs are. It’s not fall off the bone(which we loved), but still very tender. The Cuban Sandwich was my personal favorite. Generous portion. Bread was toasted perfectly. We loved it as we loved the movie ‘chef’ 💕 Pulled pork burrito serving was huge and my mom (as a picky eater) also loved it. Happy to meet the owner and the staff are all friendly. This is highly recommended when you visit MJ Square! 🤩

They serve the best burger I’ve tasted-hands down! The place has a cool, laid-back vibe and the service is friendly and quick. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Bantayan Island. Great food, great people, great experience.

Easily the best restaurant I've been to in the entirety of the Philippines. Their food literally cured me of my parosmia (damaged sense of smell and taste buds from covid) Their notorious P.I.G is amazing, their passion fruit drink is also so good. I'd do anything to come back here! (Images are from when we went there at 2021)

The food was soo tasty that I found myself dancing lightly as I was eating it. Been in the Philippines for over a year and it's the best quesadilla I have had by FAR. The staff were friendly and attentive. My only regret is that this restaurant isn't located in Cebu city. Sorry, I took a bite of the quesadilla before I took a picture. My second time here and couldn't wait. Oh and that dipping sauce for the quesadilla - heavenly 🥳

Been to Bantayan Burrito Co twice in 3 days. Amazing food and staff. Highly recommend if you are staying in Santa Fe, Bantayan. Best international food on the island. Well worth a visit. Will be coming back in the near future in the next visit to Bantayan.

Bar
The beachfront bar and grill resto on Bantayan Island is perfect for affordable food, pool table, and beautiful view. The friendly owners serve up delicious ribs that are the best in Santa Fe town.
I absolutely love this place, the food is amazing, service is always professional, ice cold beers and anyone giving less than 5 stars for silly reasons should be ashamed of themselves. Best lasagna ive ever had, amazing burgers and the ribs omg. People should not review any restaurant until they have tried at least a few different dishes. I have tried almost every dish on the menu and its the best on the island by far. Have respect for business owners and dont give one star for silly reasons or if you tasted only one dish.
Island V — Google review
Not sure how this place has maintained so many good reviews. We were one of only a couple of tables eating, around the bar they were playing loud music and sports on the tv, which was not the atmosphere we were expecting for a nice restaurant by the beach. The food was below average, the shrimp sinigang was boring and the shrimps were overcooked. The burger was mushy. All the food is overpriced, you could find a much better meal for the same price elsewhere. Do not recommend unless you want to hear Americans (the owners) yapping constantly.
Ciara M — Google review
Well, I stumbled across this place, which is right by the ocean. Rickety tables in the sand overlooking the sandbar. There's also a really nice semi outdoors sitting area. Coldest beers I've ever had in the Philippines. Good food, excellent Wifi. The ice coffee latte was mediocre though.
Globetrotters C — Google review
This is our last stop before heading back to the city. We had our lunch here and I loved the food and the serving fits to their price. The mango shake could be better tho as it is kinda bland. I also love the view of the beach while eating. Would definitely want to go back during night time to try their cocktails.
Tiny B — Google review
We went here for breakfast twice, and the resto bar is next to the beach, and very nice view and chill. It's a sport bar at the night time, also we are considering to go here at night time. They have billiard free for dine in customer. You can swim in the beach while waiting to the food or after your meal like we did :) They are also dog friendly and have good parking for motorbike. The staff are nice and friendly. Were planning to go again, during night time. So I can fully rate if they have good dinner and deserve 5 🌟 :)
Antonette D — Google review
The restaurant is like 5min away from where we stayed. I always passed by to it and thought it would just be ok. My husband and I decided to try it and just chill cause it's facing the beach. I've seen good reviews of their food, so we ordered the most recommended meal. I am impressed how perfectly golden brown the seafood basket and the serving of the ribs is a good size! Eds approved!👍

Great Staff, but Food Service Needs Improvement We had our lunch at Stumble Inn Beach Club, and while the place has a nice vibe, our experience was a bit of a mix. The food preparation and serving were quite slow—we waited far too long for certain orders, even though there were only a few of us dining at the restaurant. That said, I’d like to commend the staff for their exceptional courtesy and kindness. Despite the delays, they remained cheerful and kept smiling, which helped ease our frustration while waiting. Overall, the service attitude was excellent, but the kitchen definitely needs to improve its speed. With some adjustments, this place could be a great spot for dining by the beach.

We stumbles across Stumble Inn exploring Santa Fe by foot. It was such a chill vibe sitting looking out at the sea. Friendly staff and customers interacting. We are going back here for lunch and a beer today.

Located on the beautiful Bantayan Island, Kota Beach Resort is a casual beachfront hotel offering rustic rooms in thatched-roof cabins. It is situated right in front of the popular Kota Beach, known for its accessibility and stunning white sand beaches. The resort offers double rooms, cottages, and suites either on the beach or just a short walk away. Guests can enjoy clear waters and a picturesque sandbar.
Kota Beach is truly the best place to stay in Bantayan! 🌴 The beachfront is stunning, the vibe is relaxing, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food is amazing—delicious, well-prepared, and the portions are really generous, making every meal satisfying. The rooms are comfortable, though they could use a little bit of renovation to make the experience even better. Still, our stay was wonderful overall. From the beautiful sunsets to the peaceful atmosphere, everything was worth it. If you’re planning a trip to Bantayan, this is definitely the TOP choice. We’ll surely come back again! 💙

Great view, great ocean breeze, so so cabana style rooms. Mine had a broken sink that was epoxied back together. Safes are a joke, one medium power punch will cave in safe door. Dining room was good. Service was good. I rented 3 cabanas, we were allowed early check in (before 11 AM) for 2, which was really nice. Construction was going on close by (100 meters) which detracted from ocean and breeze sounds. Pictures are of cabana my wife and I stayed in and ocean view from my cabana porch.

We stayed here last week for a quick trip.
We messaged them before our ship left Hagnaya Port, thinking the van would already be waiting at Sta. Fe Port when we arrived, but we had to wait a bit. Not a big deal, just worth noting. Check-in was smooth, and the receptionist was super nice. She clearly enjoys what she does, which set a good vibe.
Service at the restaurant was mixed. On our first breakfast, the waitress was great, but the one the next day wasn’t as attentive.
Also, the guard kept asking if we were checked in every time we were at the beach area, which got a bit tiring. As for the room, walls were super thin. We could literally hear the upstairs neighbors doing the deed. The floor also felt sticky, and there were no room slippers, which would've been nice. All in all, it was an okay stay. I’d come back mainly for the relaxing massage and the grilled food during bbq night.

Beachfront and perfectly positioned for a gorgeous sunrise. Such a lovely spot to wake up to. We stayed here for five days and really enjoyed the peaceful vibe. However, it feels like the huts haven’t been maintained well since the pandemic. A little upkeep would make the place even more inviting because it truly has so much potential. We met so many cute dogs here. Sad to leave them after our vacation.

Kota Beach Resort is an amazing place to stay in Sta. Fe, Bantayan Island. The accommodations are well-maintained and we received a great service from their friendly and approachable staff. The beautiful & clean beach is a few steps away with a long white sandy shoreline that is good for a super safe & therapeutic walking on barefoot. Kadlawon Restaurant served good food worth the price. We were stranded on the island for 2 more days because of typhoon OpongPH but our needs were promptly addressed by the management and we were excellently taken care of by all their staff. Overall, our stay has been more than satisfactory. Highly recommended!!!
Fi D — Google review
The rooms and free breakfast are okay.. The sand is a bit coarse along the beach but very fine further along on the waters.. And the best part are the fishes!🥰 You can see them on your feet while swimming because the water is very clear and calm..
Sulamita F — Google review
We stayed in Kota Beach around 10yrs ago and we remembered how good their food was so we dined here again to check and we were not disappointed. The food is still as delicious as we could recall and the portions are good for 3-4 people. The grilled squid was not overcooked, something that is so easy to do but here it was just perfect.
Joy G — Google review
Overall our stay at Kota Beach resort is a good one. The positive factors are the accommodating staff, the cute dogs, the beach and the location. The resort is near the restaurants around the area. However, some disappointing factors for us were the limited food options for the free breakfast, the room gets moist easily (we booked a beachfront cabana), the lock at the bathroom is broken, and if the cabana door could have a double lock inside just for safety is additional plus for those with families.

Ogtong Cave Resort is an extension of Santa Fe Beach Club, offering a laid-back beachfront experience with access to a unique freshwater underground cave. The resort is perched on natural limestone rocks, providing stunning sunrise views and easy beach access. Visitors can take a dip in the cave's lukewarm waters and explore its limited area. The resort also features inviting pools with picturesque seaside vistas. Additionally, guests can enjoy delicious dining options and friendly service from the staff.
We stayed at Ogtong Cave Resort and really enjoyed the peaceful vibe. The villa was nice and spacious, and we loved how the resort is surrounded by lots of green spaces and landscaped areas—it’s really relaxing and quiet. One great perk is their free shuttle service to and from the port, which made things super convenient. Just a heads up though, the resort is a bit far from the main tourist spots and restaurants, so renting a motorcycle is ideal if you plan to go in and out often. If you don’t ride motorcycles, no worries—tricycles are always waiting outside, especially since a lot of day tour guests visit the resort for the cave. Our only small complaint is the pool hours—it’s only open from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM for checked-in guests, and until 6:00 PM for day tour visitors. We wish it stayed open a little later, especially for those staying overnight. Overall, it’s a lovely and chill place to stay if you’re looking for peace, greenery, and a relaxing island experience.
Mhai Y — Google review
We went there as guest. We paid 150 for the entrance fee. It used to be 250 though but they reduced the EF since their pool is being renovated. The cave is stunning the first time we saw it. But eventually, you would realize, "that's it?". After taking photos in the cave, we decided to take a nap in the bench to kill the time. I could say that it was a pleasant stay. They have milktea and mango shake bar inside. It taste good in reasonable price.
Little C — Google review
Beautiful place but disappointed with beachfront cleanliness Ogtong Cave Resort has a lot of potential — the cave is stunning, the pool is relaxing, and the overall property is well-maintained. However, I was really disappointed by the condition of the beachfront. There was noticeable trash along the shore: plastic bottles, food wrappers, and other litter scattered in the sand and near the water. It takes away from the beauty of the area and affects the overall experience. For a resort that charges decent rates, I expected better maintenance of the beachfront. I hope the management takes this seriously and implements more regular cleanups or signs encouraging guests to dispose of waste properly. This place could be even more amazing with a clean and cared-for shoreline. I’d still recommend a visit — especially for the cave — but I do hope to see improvement in beachfront cleanliness next time.
Not F — Google review
Nice place, the cave was pretty nice. Not too busy when we showed up around 11am as we were leaving there was a lot more people. There's a pretty nice pool as well and some tables near the water. Entry was ₱300 per person. I'd say it's worth it for a few hours.
Noah W — Google review
We planned to just visit cave but stayed for pool time & ocean pics. It's small private resort with guard at gate so have to pay entry fees. They sell floaters and water shoes if needed. Visited on Wed morning so not crowded at all in cave or at pool. Only pool has loungers to layout. No beach at high tide but picnic tables & chairs are around area. Had nice lunch and bought smoothies at pool tiki bar. Showers worked and bathrooms had toilet paper so we would return if we wanted another pool day. There was litter around ocean parts and still some construction happening so please do better job at maintaining cleanliness. It goes a long way with tourists. The cave is nice to check out but wasn't main appeal. We enjoyed the scenery & pool the most.
A K — Google review
We just stay for the Ogtong Cave and sightseeing from their beach front. There still upgrading the other facilities like restrooms and pathway. Overall experience for the cave is great
Greg M — Google review
The location is lovely but the facilities have come to some disrepair. We stayed for about 4 days but we didn’t spend time in their pool or near their beach. The staff is clearly not well trained — the whole island is, truthfully. It might be good if the government can sponsor some workshops to improvement the people’s understanding of service in the tourism and hospitality industries.
Marvin J — Google review
Very disappointed about Santa Fe Beach Club Octong Cave Resort. Came with a 2 Family group with kids. Children under 14 were not allowed to access the cave and swim there. Also the pool area was restricted for my 12 year old son. That's not acceptable. Additionally a lot of construction was going on. We left and luckily got refunded. Conclusion: might be OK for people without children.

MJ Square is a vibrant food court located in the heart of Santa Fe, offering a diverse range of dining options from Greek to Mexican cuisine. It's an ideal spot for couples with differing culinary preferences, as they can each choose from various restaurants and enjoy their meals together in the central square. The area comes alive at night, especially on weekends, providing a lively atmosphere for visitors to savor drinks and a wide array of foods.
MJ Square is composed of food stalls and souvenir’s.. all type of delicacies for locals and tourist alike…I think nightlife is what entice visitors to drop by and experience Bantayan at night… roam till you drop..✌🏽🤭😀❤️nightlife is real…

This place was not the best as we had to battle with the flys while trying to eat. The seafood was ok but the cab was not fresh. The scallops were not grilled properly as the cheese was not melted on the scallops. The chicken wing tasted good at the first bite but was unable to finish it due to a fly landed on it. Fly got under the wing and was there awhile. In all it was a poor eating experience. I recommend if you are going there to do take out and avoid the flys.
Edward F — Google review
This is a small food street consisting of several cafes, primarily focusing on seafood. There are also themed cafes. We chose the seafood cafe. The experience was poor. The staff was rude. The fish portions were small, and the menu didn't list the weight of the dish, which created confusion. The oysters were clearly not fresh, as if they had tried to fix it with strong spices. The hygiene conditions were poor. Perhaps we chose the wrong cafe, but I think this is a tourist spot for selling stale seafood. There's a public market nearby where you can find truly fresh fish, seafood, sea grapes, and seaweed. If you have somewhere to cook, it's better to buy there.
Boris A — Google review
MJ Square is Bantayan Island’s most popular food complex — a lively cluster of restaurants, bars, cafés, and souvenir stalls located along A. Batobalonos Street, right in the heart of Santa Fe. It’s the go-to place for travelers looking to eat, stroll, and hang out, especially in the evenings when the lights glow and the music starts to hum. Its central location makes it convenient — most resorts are just a short walk away. But beyond the vibe, I’d say MJ Square is more about the scene than the food. Souvenirs here tend to be overpriced (you’ll find better deals near Omagieca Obo-ob Mangrove Garden), and while there are plenty of options, some of the best eats in Bantayan — like Big Jel’s and Tristan’s Pizza — are found outside this complex. It’s not bad, just a little overrated for me. Still, if you enjoy a bustling night crowd and want to experience the “island pulse,” it’s worth dropping by once. Verdict: A fun hangout spot, but foodies might find better flavor elsewhere. 3 out of 5 stars.
Kleinberg T — Google review
santafe only one good area. but price not cheaper and food is all so so coffee 170 peso like Starbucks angus burger steak is not angus. and very bad. price is 250 or 270 but sayang. free ice tea also small glass and not clean. didnt touch. employees more louder and talking.
Bob J — Google review
This is an ally filled with bars, restaurants and some shops selling souvenirs. There are a few good restaurants. Most are there to take a tourist's money and provide disappointment. A notable exception is the Mexican restaurant. It can get lively, and that has value. But don't go here looking for a lot of quality dining options.
Wandering C — Google review
Lots of restaurants to choose from. Just pick what you like. It's very hot to eat at lunch specialy on March. Not airconditioned. More parking in front. We dined at Tinderpoint.

Located on Batobalonos Street in Poblacion Santa Fe, Bantayan Island, Philippines, Coucou Bar Hotel & Restaurant is a modest hotel that offers simple and practical rooms. The establishment also features a charming rustic restaurant and bar where guests can enjoy a range of local and international dishes including Italian pizza, pasta, burgers, halo-halo, mango float, and pancit bihon. The menu also includes a variety of cocktails and coffee choices.
Restaurant review only: This was the best food we have had in the area while here of the weekend. Service was very good and accommodating, food took a little bit but was totally worth the wait. Prices are reasonable and the American food options were really good. I ordered the pasta carbonara and added chicken for myself, I forgot to take a picture prior to diving in on the food. Music 🎵🎶 is 1980's pop/rock which was fun to hear. My Filipino husband and his cousin really enjoyed the Filipino food items that are pictures with the review. I would highly recommend Coucou (Restaurant).

Coucou Bar Hotel and Restaurant is a nice place to hang out after doing a bit of island touring in Bantayan Island. We ordered some pizza—it was okay, not amazing, but decent enough. What I really liked was the chill ambience. The small huts with tables inside are nicely arranged, adding a cozy touch to the place. It gets livelier in the evening, with more people around, while daytime feels quieter and more laid-back. Overall, it’s a good spot to unwind and relax.

The aesthetic of the room is nice. Different toilet and shower. But the shower has no door, curtain only. The room is good and clear, they provided toiletries as well. The only problem was the AC, it’s not functioning well since room is still hot. Also, the internet is not working so you can’t work remotely there unless you use your cellular data. Overall, place was nice and the staff are so kind and nice. We enjoy our stay.

HOTEL ROOMS REVIEW ONLY!!! When we arrived, the staff greeted us immediately. However, we arrived too early for check-in since they were fully booked the day before. We were advised to come back at 2 PM. We asked if we could leave our bags, and the receptionist said it was okay. We were happy because we didn’t have to carry our heavy bags around. Fast forward to check-in: the staff (“ate”) was still finishing up the room. Once it was ready, the room looked fresh, smelled good, and the sheets were clean. I loved how the shower and toilet were separated. The room had cable TV, a mini fridge, a hairdryer, two complimentary bottles of water, a heater, coffee, and tea. One thing I noticed about the bed was that it squeaked if you accidentally lay down too hard. BUT overall, everything was perfect—I’m still giving it 5 stars. Despite the bars around, the place was quiet and peaceful. We had a great sleep. There’s also a guard on duty at night, so the place felt really safe ☺️ Would definitely go back and recommend it to friends. 👌🏻 Thank you! P.S. I hope you will consider placing plastic liners in the trash bins to make them easier to clean and empty. I always bring plastic bags with me, so I just used some of my own. But all good 😊

For starters waitress wasn’t welcoming already but still keen to try out their food and even if waitress seems too eager to take our order. Later on we have to come up in the bar to order more food. While billing out was the WORST, called them for several times (waving hands, tone up our voices) but still no response and saw they’re actually busy chatting when I just come up to ask for our bill. Had to wait a bit more as it wasn’t even prepared although we’re the very last guest that night and one of the staff guy already told them were asking for the bill. Hope this helps to improve service. Food was average as well as the cocktails, but doesn’t recommend the Coucou Lovers if you’re not into sweet and over powered cherry flavoured drinks.

Took almost 1 hour for our order to arrive. Nothing special on their pasta. Carbonara too bland, Seafood pasta too sour. We ask for salt and pepper to try the pasta to taste better. Their fries almost all air inside. Their bread is so hard. Nothing special on their pizza also. Plating looks good but nothing special on the taste.

This is a breakfast-only review ☺️ . We have had three breakfasts here within about 8 days . It’s fantastic !! So many choices , home made toasted bread is out of this world !!! Served with butter and blueberry (!!!) 🫐 jelly . Mouth watering. ! Bacon 🥓 was delish too. Highly recommended!

Food was ok, chili con carne had one chili which was done after two spoonfuls of food. Otherwise bit of watery and no spice at all (not even hint of chili). Cesar salas didnt taste like correct, sauce was something else than traditional one. Otherwise food was ok, service was ok also. Eating experience was ruined by 20-30 flies that were constantly on the table even with an electric fan blowing. Maybe it's a treat from staying next to stinky public market, but the issue should be remedied as it is disgusting.

TapaMaster Bantayan Island is criticized for its high prices and small portions. A customer ordered a beef tapa for 160 pesos, but only received a sizzling plate with a few pieces of beef tapa, one rice, and one egg. When questioning the waitress about the value, she confirmed that this was their standard portion size of 75g. However, TapaMaster shines as a lifesaver for those seeking late-night meals when other establishments are closed.
Great new little restaurant at the main entrance of MJ Square. Specializes in exotic meat with specialty spice mix options served sizzling hot with egg on cast iron. Mixed with rice their dishea make a hearty breakfast, but great anytime of day or night. Great new addition to Santa Fe's expanding food scene.

We arrived around 9am at MJ square and we were looking around for food to eat but the person from this stall was very pushy. i assume she is the chef/owner bc she kept saying that 'her food is the best & if its not, then its free'. It was not our first option, so we kept looking around however not many stalls are open yet. We went out and she was still saying it pretty loudly. We were tired from our commute and just want to eat so we gave it a chance. Ordered a variety of sizzling breakfast plates for all 4 of us. Iced coffee - not good. its like a sachet coffee with ice and a bit of milk 🥲 Food - it wasnt exceptional but not bad. it was okay for me. Price is a bit steep.
Maria G — Google review
Overpriced with little servings. I ordered a beef tapa worth 160 pesos. I received a sizzling plate with 5-6 little pieces of beef tapa, one rice and one egg. I called the waitress and asked her if that was already worth the 160 pesos that I paid..she answered yes and said that they're only serving 75g. I was disappointed when I heard that because she didn't do anything about my concern. Another group from the table adjacent to us looked surprised as well with the little serving of food that they received. Even the juice that they served was meh. It's clearly not a good first experience in Bantayan. Look for another restaurant inside MJ Place and don't bother buying from this eatery.

Some of the food is greasy. The cheese & meat is good, plus the bread & olive oil is delicious, but they didn’t have this on our 2nd visit for food. The staff are lovely. On our last day we were drinking wine & ordered 6 glasses. When we asked for the bill we were told the wine was special & cost 150 per glass & not 90 as advertised on the menu. I was a little disappointed by this extra cost as we had spent 1 other evening having drinks & another having food here.

I've tried a bunch of different foods with varying experience. Sausages were good. Tortilla and sea food tapas not bad although small. Most disappointing were steaks, but I didn't have much of expectation for a 200P "Wagyu".

Life saver specially for those who are starving during the wee hours, when most of the establishments in this island were already closed. I so love how they prepare their food and the ambiance with the rate of a "carenderia". and their benguet coffee, heavenly.. i so love this place that I consider this as my kitchen, and the seashore, my living room. ^_^ this is home.

Tapa Master, is one of the best place to fill you stomach, lot of food choices with a friendly price, like wagyutapa rice for only 49pesos, they also have a buy 1 take 1 breakfast and lunch with 3 choices. Customer service is good, a must try when you're in Sta. Fe Bantayan Island keep.up the good works!!!

A small stores that offers breakfast meals. They are open 24hrs so you can drop by anytime your tummy tells you to eat. They offer variety of food option,a perfect additional to the existing list of restaurants in Sta Fe. The wait is a bit long during mornings, there are flies around but they manage to put candles in the hopes to counter the flies.

Nestled in the heart of Sta. Fe, Pizzeria La Filomina is a delightful culinary gem that has quickly captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike since its inception just five years ago. The owner, a master craftsman, personally built the brick oven where each pizza is lovingly baked to perfection. Diners rave about the homemade pizzas and pastas, with standout dishes like the seafood pesto gnocchi and La Filomina special meat lovers pizza taking center stage.
Their gnocchi is soft and light, definitely recommended. We ordered their La Filomina pizza and the other half is 4 Cheese - also a must try - good flavor combination especially with the olives. The pizza was cooked just right to leave softness and crunchiness at the same time, served straight out of their cute brick oven. Scallops were good and freshly baked. We went there at noon and the weather was so hot but we ordered coke to cool us down a bit. Would recommend this place, very affordable than in the city and the woman that served us was very nice.

Good thin pizza . We had the signature filomena special 12” and the freshly made garlic bread seasoned with rosemary was divine and good value. Simple Outdoor seating under cover, has a canteen/ fast food vibe. There are fans too.

We discovered another gem in Bantayan! We stopped by for a quick snack, and their garlic bread (for 65 pesos!) Filomina Special pizza, and Four Cheese pizza were absolutely delicious! The staff was so kind, and one of them even carried my baby while my husband and I enjoyed our meal. Definitely a 5-star experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Authentic Pizza with a Homey Island Vibe – A Must-Try in Bantayan! 🍕 While looking for a good dinner spot in Bantayan, I asked a few locals where to eat—and Pizzeria La Filomina came up more than once. I'm so glad we listened! We dropped by past 9 PM, and even though it was off-season and pretty quiet around the island, the place was still open and welcoming. That alone was already a win for us. We ordered quite a bit—from pizzas to pasta to seafood—and every bite was worth it. The standout? The pizza dough! It was chewy, well-cooked, and really enjoyable to eat. We tried their house special, Hawaiian, and Diavolo—all had great flavor and that perfect wood-fired crust that you just can’t fake. We also had their baked scallops and calamari, and they were spot on. Seriously, seafood in Bantayan just hits different—fresh, flavorful, and cooked right. It added a nice island touch to our Italian-style meal. Another dish that surprised us was the gnocchi in carbonese sauce. It was soft, flavorful, and comforting—we ended up wiping the plate clean. Definitely a must-try! The owner was also there and personally checked in with us. Super friendly guy with a great story—turns out he worked with Italian chefs for years and now makes his own pasta from scratch. It’s amazing to see that kind of passion right here on the island. ✅ Great pizza dough and flavor ✅ Homemade pasta and gnocchi ✅ Fresh seafood dishes ✅ Cozy, homey island vibe ✅ Friendly owner and great service ✅ Perfect for late dinners and off-season travelers If you're visiting Bantayan Island and craving real, quality pizza in a relaxed, home-style setting, Pizzeria La Filomina will feel like your new favorite hangout. It’s got that “pizza made with love on an island” vibe that’s hard to beat. Visited: July 2025 Perfect for: Pizza lovers, seafood fans, pasta fans, and couples or barkadas looking for a chill dinner spot.

I ordered meat lovers pizza (La filomina special) and scallops. It was delicious. I substituted onions and black olives for bacon and Italian sausage. My gf had the seafood pasta and some scallops. The scallops were amazing and the price was fantastic. The washroom was sketchy but everything else was perfect.

Izla Sugba is a bar and grill establishment located on Bantayan Island, Philippines. It is known for its fresh seafood meals served in generous portions. Local tourists often recommend this place due to its laid-back ambiance, menu suitable for children, and outdoor seating area ideal for safe dining experiences.
Perfect baked scallops - 10000+ points of freshness, its taste... everything. Most recommended. Must try when you are in Bantayan - Izla Sugba Baked Scallops. 👏👏👏 The clam soup must try also. Definitely, you will return to them for their great seafood masterpieces. Promise!

Service - servers are very attentive and kind Food - the meals we ordered for its price is great value for money. We ordered Crabs and baked scallops Atmosphere - matches beach music, walls and Air-conditioned inside. Outisde is great too as it was covered and cool to due to wind blowing from sea to land.

One of our fav resto in bantayan!! We dined here twice as they have generous servings in a very fair price point. Their grilled squid is to die for, the squid is fresh, sweet, and cooked perfectly! We also love their kare kare, you can really taste the peanut and you don’t need bagoong for their kare kare it’s so delish! We’re sooo lucky because they gave us free baked scallops as seen on the photo 🫶🏼 One thing to improve is their service, if you go during the busy hours they might not be able to assist you right away, like our food was already at the counter (we already saw it because we were seated beside the counter) but it took them 10 mins to serve it to us and idk why lol but I still love them

GRABE! Napakasarap ng pagkain. The food was super delicious that we spent 2 out of 3 of our lunches on the island at this restaurant. During our first day the crabs and scallops were SOLD OUT so we went back the next day to have a taste. IT WAS WORTH IT AND SUPER AFFORDABLE TOO! Would definitely come back. Special shoutout to the staff who were all so lovely and accommodating!! From the parking guy, kitchen staff, to the waiters/waitresses, maraming salamat for being so kind. 🩵 1000/10 BABALIKAN!

Great fresh food. Only once we had a bad experience due to undercooked squid 🐙 after that my mother had a food poisoning. The squid tasted like a gum. We also didn't like the Kinilaw - fresh marinated fish. It has been cut together with the shin which was not chewable and so did ruin the whole tasting experience of that dish, so he skin and the part of the fish right under the skin should definitely be cut off well - such a dish should only have the soft fish filet. Other than that everything has been cooked well and the food was delicious. We came here twice during our stay in Santa Fe.
Karina — Google review
Great price for food. No issues. Fairly fast but also not a lot of people as it was not peak season. Shame that they don’t make shakes themselves (so not available at night, only during the day when the other store is open). Friendly and helpful staff. Seafood is very fresh and delicious! We had sinigang shrimp and the baked scallops. We went back twice so we can highly recommend!

Bantayan Island Nature Park and Resort is a charming seaside property that offers a variety of amenities for solo travelers, friends, and families. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool, spa, and even a mini zoo. The resort also features an infinity pool, cave pool, billiards, and restaurant. For those needing to stay connected, WiFi is available. While some areas may need renovations, the large clean pool with a slide and the cool cave are highlights.
Great place to stay with lots of fun activities to do around you and you can even order food for a set time. That was nice. Our booking came with 1 free drop off and pick up which was very useful for exploring bantayan. Great beach view but no sun set.
Daniel S — Google review
Avoid if cleanliness matters to you. The resort offers a mini zoo as an activity, but don’t worry if you arrive and it’s closed—you’ll find a “mini zoo” in your room instead. Ants, spiders, flies, and various unidentified insects are included for your viewing (and unwelcome) pleasure. The premium room had a broken shower, a toilet that didn’t flush, and a dirty sink. The bed, while large, was layered in dust and clearly aged. Towels were stained, the floor was dirty, the table was dusty, and the chairs were uncomfortable metal slats without cushions. Flies were everywhere, and the staff was inattentive. On a positive note, the pool was deep and enjoyable, but the area becomes unsettling after dark. Visit for the pool—just don’t plan to stay overnight.
Baseem — Google review
This place is very old and not very well maintained. First of all you have to pay 250 pesos each apparently to use all the facilities. Our first stop was the pool cave which looks very dodgy. The steps going to the pool smells like someone has peed there. The plants and trees are very ordinary. There’s a pool but it has debris and you will know if a pool is clean or not, in this case, it is not clean. There’s a small restaurant there where you can buy food but we didn’t. The beach close to this resort has also a lot of rubbish. Lastly, the toilet stinks and there’s no toilet paper provided. Over all, i feel like although 250 pesos is not expensive, it is a waste of money to even visit this place.
Babette G — Google review
Don't believe the bashers — they clearly haven't experienced this gem the way we did. We personally stayed here, and we can confidently say that Bantayan Island Nature Park exceeded all expectations. It's a fun, peaceful, and truly value-for-money getaway that deserves nothing less than 5 stars in every aspect. Location Yes, it's a bit away from the town proper — and that's exactly what makes it feel like a peaceful sanctuary. Plus, the resort offers FREE shuttle rides in and out, so access is not a problem at all. If you’re seeking a place to relax, unwind, and reconnect with nature, this is the place to be. Cleanliness This place doesn’t just maintain cleanliness — it's clean and green. Everywhere you look, you’ll see lush surroundings, well-maintained trails, and spotless facilities. It feels like nature and comfort in perfect harmony. Staff We felt like VIPs the entire time. The staff are extremely friendly, accommodating, and thoughtful. From delivering food to wherever you want to eat, helping with bags, to giving warm greetings whenever you pass by — their hospitality is top-notch. Facilities A huge swimming pool that’s open from 9 AM until 10 PM — a rare find! A gym with a sea view — perfect for peaceful workouts. A surprisingly fun fish spa experience. The Sto. Cave Pool — imagine swimming in a natural cave inside a resort! While there's no beachfront, the cliffside view and nature trails more than make up for it. You get breathtaking views and that raw, island nature vibe you won’t find in typical touristy places. Rooms We stayed in a superior room and it was incredibly spacious, beautifully decorated with calming beach-themed accents, and offered a fantastic view of the sea. The bathroom had hot & cold showers, ample storage, and a mini-fridge with complimentary water and free refills. Truly thoughtful touches all around. Safety Even during our weekday stay when it was just me and my partner, we felt 100% safe. The area is well-guarded with security personnel who discreetly roam the premises. We never once felt uneasy. --- Final Thoughts We wholeheartedly recommend Bantayan Island Nature Park. If you're looking for peace, nature, great service, and comfort — this is it. Ignore the outdated negative reviews. This place is a hidden paradise that deserves more love and recognition. ❤️

Looooved being here! Had a great time with my daughter! The beach was clean. The water was cool and clear. The cliff jumping experience awesome with so many colorful little fish waiting to greet you when you hit the water 😅. Scared the bejeezus out of my daughter, but I thought it they were awesome!

Only came here for the day. The entrance fee is fair being 200 pesos per person. The cave is cool, the mini zoo is nothing special, and the foot spa is nice as well. The facilities themselves are nice, but much of it is older and needs renovations. The pool is large, clean, and has a slide. The beach though is dirty, small, and the water is not more than ankle height in depth. We did not eat the food here, but they sell milktea as well. Overall, I'd come back just for the pool.
Mark F — Google review
Place is exceptional in terms of preserving nature and picturesque scenery near the cliffs. Pool is quite big, and now they have water slide which brings additional excitement and fun experience. Pool cave is ever improving from our last visit, but the absence of a life guard on duty is disappointing. I hope you can also add an accessible trash bins where people usually eats and relax, and also if it's possible to give your customer an internet access for free since the cellular signal in the area is weak. But overall, the price that we paid is really worth it. Beautiful property.
Nigel O — Google review
Loved the cave - cool experience swimming in the cave at night, and enjoyed the pools & fish spa, but needs a little cleaning in my opinion. Food was delicious (though we waited a while, but worth the wait). Lovely moonlight on the sea at night. We saw a fishing eagle in the wild, up close. Worth the 200 entry fee, but not sure if I'd stay longer than a day or two.

Nestled along the picturesque southern beach of Santa Fe, Jelly's Haven Resort offers a charming and budget-friendly escape for travelers seeking a laid-back atmosphere. Just a short stroll or tricycle ride from the town center, guests can easily explore delightful dining options, cozy coffee shops, local markets, and pharmacies. We had the best experience at Jelly’s Haven Resort! The staff were incredibly warm and accommodating, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. The beachfront location was the cherry on top! Perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway!

It's habagat time (off peak) so guest are few so we have the resort facilities all for ourselves (Nov- Apr are peak season) and beachfront is full of dried sea grass and low tide (not ideal for swimming) . The place is instagramable and the owner is hands on. Plenty of staff and are very friendly and helpful. We were picked up (complimentary) in the ferry port even when we arrived around 3AM and shuttled back to the port when we checkout at 7am. Water pressure is ok. We walk just 15min by the shore (so view was nice) to reach the restaurant and bar place (MJ Square) The complimentary breakfast only has 3 choices so you will repeat the same order if you plan to stay for more than 3 nights. Intermittent wifi signal (Starlink) inside the room, you have to be in the right location. If you prefer to have a quite and relaxing stay, this is your place.

When in Bantayan Island, I highly recommend staying in Jelly’s Haven. They have friendly and helpful staff — always smiling and greeting you, producing happy vibes. Their service is amazing — helped us on our personal requests and needs. The only lite opportunity they have is our room’s door knob — it’s broken - very hard to open or close. Might need a replacement or repair. However, everything else was incredible. I will definitely go back and book another stay with Jelly’s.

We only dined and chilled at Jelly's. Some of the best dishes my family group have experienced. Bam-I noodles, caldereta, fish tinola and chicken tinola, sisig, sweet and sour fish were all top notch delicious. The shakes were high quality also. Along with the beach front location and friendly staff, it's a must visit.

The beach is one of our main problem; the beach and shoreline is quite for the lack of better word dirty it should’ve been well maintained and cleaned thoroughly for it’s customers hence why we chose not to swim on their beach. Next would be the “complimentary” breakfast it needs improvement 400-500 pesos worth of food for two person didn’t cover what was served on the table. Also the continental and American meal are somewhat the same so there is no room to choose aside from the Filipino one. For the rooms- we changed our previous room because the air conditioning is not working properly.

Paradise Beach Guest House, also known as Sandira, is a beautiful beach located on the southeastern coastline of the island, just 15 minutes away from Santa Fe. The guest house provides a homely atmosphere and is run by the owner and their family who offer affordable meals and helpful services. The rooms are equipped with free Wi-Fi and spacious bathrooms, while there's also a hanging area in the veranda.
My friends and I booked their Family/Barkada Room. There were 6 of us but the room was good for 12. Not to worry about the price, it all remains to be affordable as they count per head and not per room. The amount you pay all goes towards the amenities you can use. The room has 1.5HP split type AC, a shower heater, a kitchen, an outdoor grilling area, and a bunch of scooters your group could use to go around the island. Breakfast is included, too. If you check the location, you may think it's a bit distant from the town but that's the POINT! You go to Bantayan to get away from the bustling crowd. The location is at the heart of all tourist spots too so you go to any direction you'll find activities to enjoy.

I travel quite a lot, sometimes you get lucky and find a place that checks all the boxes and even checks boxes you never realized should be checked. This is one of those rare places where the stars align and it's so much better than you ever expect. Darren the host is a world traveler and knows what makes a great accommodation. His personal touch makes all the difference between the typical place you book online and the exceptional place you never forget. Great location, great host and the best information for the new arrival. Take notes because everything he tells you is going to be important. One of the best places I've ever been bar none! Highly recommended!!!

We stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights this July as a group of 10 and had a wonderful experience! The owners were incredibly accommodating and warm. Darren also shared helpful information about the area, which made our stay even smoother. The rooms were spotless with beautiful interiors, and the location was just a few minutes away from my favorite beach on the island. They offer scooter rentals and can help arrange tricycle pickups for guests. Free breakfast is also included. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a place to stay in Bantayan☺️

If youre looking for a place thats affordable, has 2 free scooters for the first 24 hours, free pinoy breakfast, then this is the place to be. Shout out the owner! This place is a 5 min walk to Paradise Beach where you can catch the best view for sunsets. Also a 10 min walk from Sadira. Their rooms are spacious - we had 6 people in out party, and we all fit with no issues. They provide free cooking utensils, like complete set jud. Theyve got an outdoor grill where you can sugba fish and other seafood to avoid the smell from circulating inside the room. And oh! They provide free Netflix too! And a 1.5HP split type AC for your room so di maguol about sa init.

I went to Bantayan Island with the intention of just really going to Paradise/Sandira Beach and do Paraw Sailing. So, Paradise Beach Guest House was the perfect place to stay. The rooms were tidy. Their toilet area is spacious. Plus, they have free breakfast. Darren & MJ were accommodating.

Best guest house ever! Highly recommended, aside from the price, the owner and his wife were the best. During our stay here for almost a week, they were very accommodating and very friendly. Every time we order food, they’re always available and super quick to respond to queries. Originally, we only booked here for a few nights, but decided to extend more because of how at home we felt. Darren also gives a quick tour recommendation with a map of where are the places you need to go, where to buy cheap souvenirs, and when’s the best time to visit certain spots. Best part also was the scooter rental which made the whole trip around the island super easy, cheap, and convenient. Darren even gave us a free ride back to the port on our last day, he is really is very friendly and the best host! Would stay here again if ever we’d visit Bantayan again. ☺️❤️
Shyanne D — Google review
Stayed here for 3days 2nights with family (6 adults and 1 child) in their family/barkada room. Booking was very smooth and they’re very responsive and helpful. The room was spacious and I liked the indoor kitchen. However, they got a rule about cooking any type of seafood indoors and we had trouble since it was raining during our stay. Aside from this, we had to wash the water dispenser before using it and washed the dishes again too since the plate organizer was smelly. We had a problem with the sink pipe leaking in the room but it was resolved by the staff, she even offered to transfer us to 2 separate rooms. We decided not to transfer since the owner/staff immediately got the pipe fixed. This guest house is far from the market, public beach, and MJ square but we weren’t that bothered since we brought a car.

This is the place to go to get your fix of fresh fruit shakes. It is the ideal drink to take with you to the beach especially considering the eternal summer heat. They are more than happy to make it according to your preference. My personal favorite is watermelon-pineapple without milk, in the largest available size.

Thai~Phoon & Kalye 42 by Thai-Phoon is a great place for those looking for value. Their 1099 package offers a selection of dishes, and customers are able to take home some leftovers. The tom yum soup is both comforting and refreshing, while the pad thai and crispy pork are also delicious choices. Although the papaya salad could use a bit more sourness, it still satisfies the taste buds.
Everything about This place is really nice’ from the food’ Atmosphere’ and service… I’ve come here twice and came away each time thoroughly satisfied’ The service time for food delivery is incredible, which makes it in itself a very positive experience… On a scale of one to 10 stars I give a 12- if you come to bantayan island Make sure you carve out a few moments to visit this place. Overall experience was good, place is nice and cozy, but our experience with their food could have been better. Ordered these dishes on our visit: Papaya Salad - 4/5, could have been more spicier, already asked for the spiciest level Tom Yum Fried Rice - 4/5 - taste was good, could taste the galangal but the dish is too salty, could have been spicier as well. requested the spiciest level Drunken Noodles - 4/5, loved the wok flavor on the noodles Chicken Pandan - 2/5, chicken was dry, sadly Minced Chicken Krapow 1/5 - this dish comes with very small amount of basil, had to ask the staff if there are any basil on it, was told that it was minced Mango Sticky Rice - 1/5 - very small portion of mangoes and they were sour, sticky rice was not cooked enough, sauce was kind of watery. :( Will still visit this place on our next trip to Sta Fe, and hopefully we’ll have a better food experience. :)

Pretty solid Thai place in Sante Fe. The food has plenty of Thai flavor with bold spices and a great menu. They also have Filipino favorites and I do recommend them. Thai~phoon also has a great IPA and a Cider which is hard to come by here so any Americans or British this is your place to find one . The portions are a little on the small side but it doesn’t take anything away front he flavor . I will definitely be back

Food was great! Pad thai is soooo good. It is on par with other Thai resto in BGC. Staff who seated us was welcoming. Price was just right.

Thai-Phoon is a fantastic spot with a cool, relaxing ambiance that makes it perfect for casual dining or catching up with friends. The atmosphere is inviting, the service is consistently warm, and the overall vibe adds to a great dining experience. A go-to place if you’re craving something flavourful and satisfying in Bantayan Island.

We were in Santa Fe, Bantayan Island a couple of weeks ago and were looking for a good lunch spot. Some friends recommended Thai-Phoon, so we thought — why not? I instantly loved the relaxed island vibe of the place. It’s not a big restaurant, but our group of 11 was comfortably seated with room to spare. We enjoyed a flavorful spread of Pad Thai, fried rice, chicken pandan, Kra Pao, and seafood. They also offer Filipino favorites like pork sisig, squid sisig, sinigang, and grilled pork — and the kitchen was kind enough to accommodate a few of our special requests. To end on a sweet note, we indulged in their mango sticky rice and fruity halo-halo — both the perfect tropical finish to a satisfying meal. If you’re in Bantayan and craving Thai flavors with a local twist, this spot is definitely worth checking out! 🌴🍽️

Sarapoi, a restaurant owned by Larry, stands out due to his helpful nature and promotion of the establishment while riding around on his bike. The food offered at Sarapoi is exceptional, with delectable sauces that perfectly complement each dish. They offer a variety of beverages including wine by the glass or bottle, beer, and other drinks. Repeated visits to Sarapoi reveal Larry's pride in his food and service.
A Can't miss Restaurant if you're visiting Bantayan Island! We had an amazing food experience. They have the cheapest food and are worth every cent you pay here. Their seafood is really fresh; our personal favorites were the Tanigue, scallops, lobsters, and shrimps. Make sure to also order their steak (the cheapest in the island!). The owner Mang Larry was really accommodating and welcoming. He made our experience memorable by talking to us and giving us his recommendations. It's like we had a "tatay" in the island. It was so good we ate for two nights here. Sana mabasa mo ito Mang Larry. We miss you and the food. Sarapoi! Patrick & Maris

We hit this place for dinner last night . Menu had lots of choices ! I had the sizzling steak 🥩, fiancé got the beef stew, mine was great she said hers was ok. Good service . Decent prices . 👍🏻

This is the best steak in town. We been here in bantayan for two weeks and sad to say that we just knew this place 1 weeks ago before we left the island. The owner larry is very accomodating, his food is one of the best and his steak is affordable and has a unique taste to its price. For 800 pesos you’ll have fillet mignon, and other food is more affordable.

Great Food and affordable prices! Fresh seafood 😁

It is ok. The place is a little bit small compared to other resto nearby. We ordered chicken stroganoff, scallops, fish and chips, sizzling chicken and calamares. It was ok, kind of an acquired taste when it comes to their food with sauce. It's really not that bad, but it's not that good either. The owner is really nice, though.

Very quik and attentive service, special wishes have been satisfied. We had a Lobster Garlic Butter 🦞 , Chicken Korma, Chicken Vindaloo, Naan Bread and Garlic Rice. The lobster was perfectly cooked and tender, the Chicken was soft breast (no bones), the sauces were creamy and delicious (I asked for chopped fresh chily on the side becauseI love it spicy and my foodie mom doesn't). Also Naan bread and rice were fantastic! We will come back!

By far the best place I've eaten at on the Island. Delicious fillet steak, fries and salad with a lovely sauce. The sizzling steak was superb also. The cheese burger was probably the best burger I've eaten including in London, USA and throughout Europe. Service was amazing, very friendly staff. Larry is a true gentleman. I will definitely be returning here and will be every time I'm back on the island. Tomorrow going to have the curry which I've heard excellent reviews on. Thank you so much Larry for such a fine establishment you're running. Came back again and had the vindaloo which is absolutely amazing. As good of not better than the Indian restaurants I have had this dish in London. The shrimp in garlic butter is very tasty and you get a good size portion. Squid adobo was delicious as well. I highly recommend this place to eat.

No wonder this place is top rated! They have the best seafood- scallops, blue crabs, and lobsters for a very reasonable price. they also have Chicken Korma and Naan bread - another best seller. The owner and staff were very friendly and kind. Definitely a must dine when in Bantayan!

Amihan Beach Cabanas offers rustic cottages with stunning sea views, a restaurant and bar, and a rooftop lounge. The accommodations are made of bamboo and local materials, providing a breezy and private retreat by the beach. Guests can enjoy free breakfast while taking in the gorgeous ocean scenery from their terrace. The resort's location allows for relaxation away from the crowds, making it an ideal choice for those seeking tranquility.
My wife and I started our honeymoon here and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. We were extremely tired on our first day so we relaxed by the beach on the sun beds and pool. The food was amazing both breakfast and other meals but the star of it all were the cocktails. All made from scratch at the bar with incredible attention to detail. The cabannas are spacious and clean, AC works fine and the view was amazing. Thank you to all the team for providing such an oasis of peace next to al the bustling of Santa Fe.

We had a pretty rough experience during our stay here last June with my family and 3 kids. First, the toilet in our room wasn’t flushing properly, it got so bad it was honestly disgusting. It was only fixed the next day. At first, I thought things were manageable, but then my 8-year-old started seeing rats running around the room, which really affected his sleep. That’s when I realized that leaving leftover food on the table (thinking it was fine for the kids to grab bites from) was actually unsafe. It could have ended badly. At one point, I also noticed, theres hut behind the restaurant where they leave used plates, utensils, and leftover food after customers finish dining. I saw dogs and cats going in, eating and licking from the plates left behind. That raised some serious hygiene concerns for me. I mentioned the rat issue to the staff, not as a complaint, but just to let them know it’s something that needs to be addressed, especially for families with kids staying after us. The restaurant and bar were decent though, and the bartender really stood out, friendly and helpful, with great drink recommendations. That part of the experience was a welcome break from the rest. But we didn’t want to end our Bantayan vacation on that note, so we decided to spend a few more days at another resort, and thankfully, that really turned things around and helped us recover the rest of the trip.

We stayed here for one night and had a wonderful experience. The location is fantastic - just steps away from MJ Square where you'll find plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops. It made exploring the area so convenient, and we could easily walk/drive to all the main tourist spots around the island. Breakfast was hearty and no skimping. The staff really stood out during our stay. They were incredibly attentive and great at communicating, making sure we had everything we needed. One of the best parts was how peaceful it was at night. No noise or disturbances, which made for a truly relaxing stay after a day of sightseeing. We booked the family cabana and were impressed with the thoughtful design - it perfectly blended traditional charm with modern amenities. The space was comfortable and well-appointed for our group. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a convenient, comfortable, and peaceful stay.

I stayed at Amihan Resort for 2 nights and it was a terrible experience. There were rats inside my room for two nights, one even ran near my head while I tried to sleep and left droppings in the sink where my personal items were kept. The staff admitted that all rooms have rats and did nothing to fix the issue. I barely slept because I was so scared. This is not safe or hygienic, and I cannot recommend this resort at all.
Andrew L — Google review
Staff were excellent - welcoming and efficient. Location is great as it’s only a few steps away from restaurants and entertainment. This however can be an issue for Friday and Saturday nights if you’re trying to sleep as the music, karaoke etc of neighboring establishments can get pretty loud. Food was good. Rooms were good to great depending on which cabana/casita you’re in. My group rented 7 of these.

My go to place when I visited Bantayan Island. The place I wouldn't missed! The location is strategic. The food is really good, staff is hospitable and the beach with the pool is something the completes. No need to go to beach front. Will certaily comeback to this place.

Had an amazing dining experience at Amihan Beach Cabanas! I came for breakfast and lunch, and the food was absolutely delicious—served in generous portions that definitely hit the spot. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Such a beautiful and relaxing place to satisfy your hunger while enjoying the beach vibe. Highly recommended!
Cyelo P — Google review
Good and not so good points. Keep in mind this was the most expensive resort on the island at the time by a fair margin., so expectations are high. The good: great location, nice and secluded and beautifully kept grounds. Close to the port and town. Staff are all wonderful and will help you and there are lots of them. Room overall was good and clean and comfy beds with decent linens. Bad; air conditioner unit in the room is super old, a window box one, so unless it’s directly blowing on you in the bed it’s fairly poor at cooling the room. The shower hot water unit did not work and is old. Breakfast , while coffee is included in the breakfast it’s actually instant coffee which they call house blend ! So you need to pay for an actual coffee from the machine, no cappuccino but Americano was on offer. it was ok but for the price per night you need to do better and not offer instant, I am not at a backpacking hostel. No butter on the second day for my toast. The fresh fruit that is included is just watermelon, odd considering this country has the best mangos in the world and many other fruit. If you say fresh fruits you need more than one. The omelette I had with supposedly fresh vegetables was clearly canned mushrooms and just white onions, tons of them. And the calamari on the menu which I would have ordered was frozen, again very odd considering you have fresh fish all over the island and we got fresh breaded and cooked calamari around the corner. Overall a good place for two nights or three but I’d hesitate to stay longer simply due to the repetitive breakfast and lack of variety, I simply would get bored with watermelon juice and watermelon slices each morning. But great staff, wonderful gardens and overall a nice room.

Although waitress did not understand English, we were able to communicate our order by pointing on the menu (we are the guests so not their fault for not speaking English!). However, very hard to get a change from what is on the menu! But that's the beauty of traveling!

The meat was greasy. The beers were the most expensive we had 68 for a San Migel light. The vegetables had random chunks of meat in it. Nothing tasted particularly great. Disappointing for the price.

Our experience wasn’t that good. Food was 3 of 5 stars. We made a reservation for 13 people. It was space enough for one long table, but they put us on two separated table. One meal was forgotten and one meal came when everybody finished already. Before they served the food, beer was out of stock. All in all no recommendations- I’m sorry 🤷🏻‍♂️

SANTA CaFe is a must-visit spot, especially for coffee enthusiasts. The owners are friendly and welcoming, creating a great atmosphere for engaging conversations. The food offerings, including burgers, paninis, and the American Plate breakfast, are described as delicious and flavorful. Visitors also praise the quality of the coffee, with recommendations to try the latte and mocha with an extra shot of espresso. While the place may seem simple in appearance, it offers excellent value and a variety of menu options.
The place looks very simple but the food offerings are all very good. You can also very good (real) coffee here. Try to go inside and choose from their variety of menu offerings.

A very simple yet very good value place. I didn't get to try their food but i tried a couple of their coffees. I didn't have high expectations because from experience, cafes in Bantayan aren't very established with coffee but WOW their coffee was good! I tried the Latte and it was very good! I also tried their mocha with an extra shot of espresso and it was very good. Although, i do think they should consider finding better milk that would keep its foam longer.

TL;DR: More than actual, real, fresh coffee with WiFi...must go. After disembarking from the ferry and exciting the doors, go straight out, directly in front. This should be your first stop - bags and all. Great conversations with friendly smiling, genuine, generous, mellow people that just so happen to be the owners. The burgers are on point. Huge, and delicious. The panini is warm, gooey, crispy and delicious. The American Plate breakfast is stunningly flavorful, and absolutely delicious. A must get. I recommend swapping the toast for French Toast, waffles, or pancakes... because you can, and it's handmade and scrum-dittily-uptious. The coffee is hot, fresh, real, with several different varieties of beans to choose from. You can also rent scooters, and 1 door down song karaoke. Note: There is a second, in-town location which is open 24-7.

Super fun and sulit experience with their island tour!!! We first went to Santa CaFe because we were looking for a safe and clean place to have lunch. Cute cafe with cute dogs - Pablo and Mocha Sir Redeem, the owner, was very accommodating and very friendly. He offered us a hassle-free island tour experience, where they made sure we only get to have fun, and worry about nothing else. Virgin Island X Wang Wang Island, complete with snacks + drinks + lunch. We also had a paddle board and a kayak that we were able to enjoy during the tour - FREE Not only that, but he offered us a place where we could shower after island hopping because we checked out early from the resort where we stayed. Santa CaFe gives oustanding value on services where it’s not provided well in other resorts. We appreciated it so much because we didn’t have a really good experience with the resort that we booked (which will have its own review in the appropriate platform). Santa CaFe definitely turned our bad experience around. Delicious food, excellent customer service, great company & a super fun experience with them. Definitely check them out when you’re around the island!

Perfect location, people, and selection. Don't be fooled, although it looks like it's just typical coffee and accompaniments, it has a bunch of quality food options! Owner is super friendly and can give you tips for your trip and strong wifi to plan it all out after the ferry.

It was a very special magic place for us! It was not only very tasty qualitativ food, that went beyond our expectations, but also a great very interesting deep warmheart communication with the owner of the Restaurant. Redeem and his wife do there business with the whole heart and soul so that you can even taste it:). We came to the Restaurant very tired and depressed, but we left it healthy, joyfull and full of Energy after deep informative conversations with Redeem and tasty food with very good coffee! We were happy to exchange our life experiences and get to know some new information for us. It is a wonderful place and we highly recommend it! Today for a dinner we are going to visit the second Restaurant of the Family, which is called Cafe Maxito.

Big Jel's Restomeat is a restaurant that offers authentic Filipino cuisine and also sells fresh seafood and meat. It provides an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet at an affordable price, featuring baked scallops and fried calamari as the main seafood options. In addition to these, they offer various side dishes, rice, lumpia, and fish food. The overall taste of the food is good, although it could have been better if served hot.
Big Jel’s Restomeat, well-prepared dishes at a very reasonable price. The servings are generous, perfect for sharing and satisfying a big appetite. Friendly staff and good ambiance. Great flavours, great value, and a must- try spot for anyone who lives hearty, quality food without breaking the bank.

The food was good, but many items in the buffet appeared close to spoilage, the dishes were cold, and the seafood wasn’t fresh. I ended up choosing baked scallops since it was my favorite, although they were quite salty.
Carlam F — Google review
Every great island adventure deserves a feast to match — and for us, that was Big Jel’s Restomeat in Bantayan Island. This local gem was a recommendation from our amazing tour guide and tricycle driver, Kuya Lando of Lando’s Land Tour, who insisted, “Diri mo mokaon, lami gyud ni.” And he was absolutely right. Tucked along Batobalonos Street near MJ Square, Big Jel’s is the kind of spot you might overlook — until the first spoonful changes your mind. We ordered pork sinigang, calamares, sizzling squid, and chicken curry — each one cooked to perfection and served in generous portions that made it the perfect post–island-hopping reward. The flavors hit that sweet spot of home-style cooking with local flair — comforting, hearty, and definitely maka-busog! The ambiance? Simple and open-air, perfect for the island vibe. There’s a smoking area at the back, and the space feels roomy enough even when packed with happy diners. What truly stands out is the warm hospitality — every staff member smiles like you’re part of their family. If you’re in Sta. Fe, skip the usual touristy restaurants and follow the locals’ lead — dine at Big Jel’s Restomeat. For us, it was the best meal of our entire Bantayan trip. Proof that when you listen to the locals, you don’t just find food — you find flavor, story, and soul.

Most of the street was dark due to a “brown out”, this place was welcoming like a lighthouse in a storm. Wonderful friendly service (Thank you Christopher!!!) excellent food and fast service in exceptionally clean premises.

One of the many food stalls in Sta. Fe area. This is the first time I visited the place. The last time I was in Bantayan was Sep 2017 and this place was still under construction. They offer meal options which is definitely a “savers” option for budget travelers like me. The place is well ventilated so dining is never a hassle. The place did not meet my expectations, the food is not so delicious, waited a while to get it served, the staff is not so accommodating. Will definitely check out the place next time to see for improvements or decline. 😉 Review update: 10/09/18 The place definitely improved during this visit. Their food is a lot bette now, staff is also accommodating. We visited the place for lunch.

The food is great and many servings. Their Bam-E noodle and Sizzling Squid are delicious.

The selection is small for a buffet but I thoroughly enjoyed each of their offerings. The lechon meat was tasty and not tough. We had at least 4 plates of scallops and I kept coming back to the kinilaw to balance out the flavors. I'd come back again especially if they add to their selections. Don't get too many of their calamari it's a bit too floury in my opinion.

Anika Island Resort, located on Bantayan Island, is a popular destination offering a wide range of amenities such as a cafe, bar, restaurant, karaoke rooms, swimming pool, lounge area, TV area and massage services. The resort also provides opportunities for water activities like diving. Guests have praised the friendly and accommodating staff who contribute to the excellent service. The spacious pool and beautiful beachfront are highlighted as key features of the resort.
One thing I love the most about this hotel is the SERVICE!! Top notch Service to be exact! If you need any help, they will not hesitate to offer anything they could offer. The people behind this resort is the reason for their success. I have stayed twice and the service never changes. Second, I always feel safe. The first time i was here i am with my family. The most recent one, i travelled solo and there were no times i felt worried for my life. Lifeguards are visible both in the pool and beach area. Guards also frequent the whole area and they ask for your room number when you go out and plan to go to the town. Def my home in bantayan. I will always go back.

Rooms: Clean and tidy. No kettle, Fridge, coffee or tea. Very limited places to hang towels. Need to pay extra for an extra pillow which is ridiculous. Air con is very loud but better than not having one. Only one plug to recharge your devices. They charge extra for an extra room key. Staff: Staff were helpful. They catered quickly to our requests. The shuttle to and from the ferry was fast and efficient. Motorcycle hire: The staff offer a motorbike hire through a third party. Please don't fall for this. They delivered a bike at almost double the going rate, it had one broken helmet and wasn't full of fuel. Dirty under the seat. Location: Very nice. Lovely beach, very clean. Staffed by security to keep the sellers at bay. Really loved the beach. Internet: Slow, but works. Food: Pricey, and orange nice isn't actually from an orange. The coffee was ordinary. The food however was nice and we enjoyed that part.

We are from Canada. Anika is a very nice peaceful resort. The room and bathroom were clean and nice. Just don’t come with a western standard expectation here. Staff is very friendly, polite and helpful. Beach and water is very nice and clean, plus there us a 24/7 security present. Pool is well maintenanced, water is very nice. Restaurant and food is good. The prices are fair. The garden is very nice and clean. It’s very relaxing here

I was deeply disappointed by the way the Manager, Lovely, treated us during our recent four-night stay at Anika. Given that we were a group of 17 people, including several senior citizens, I had expected a higher level of customer service and consideration. Unfortunately, that was not the case. 1. I inquired about van service to take us to a nearby restaurant. While I understood that their vans were limited to pier transfers, what was frustrating was the complete lack of initiative to help. Despite standing at the counter clearly trying to figure out a solution, no one offered assistance until I specifically asked if they could help us find a vehicle. It was only then that they realized they could, in fact, help—an obvious sign of poor customer service training. 2. We also had a fragile painting with us and asked if they had any packaging materials we could purchase. Instead of attempting to assist or offer alternatives, we were immediately told "No." Again, no effort was made to help us find a solution. 3. To our surprise, we were charged a ₱50 corkage fee for a bottle of Gatorade brought in for a dehydrated companion—even though Gatorade or similar drinks were not available in their bar. This felt more like a lack of compassion than a policy being properly enforced. 4. The general staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay, but the same cannot be said of the Manager. She never once smiled or showed any warmth, which set a cold and unwelcoming tone from Day 1. For someone in a position of leadership, she should be setting the example in hospitality—not falling short of it. 5. Finally, during check-out, I presented the Senior Citizen cards of our guests to avail of the applicable discounts for the rooms. Unfortunately, this was denied because the cards were not shown during check-in. While I understand policies exist, a little flexibility—especially with senior citizens—would have shown more customer care. Discounts were only applied to breakfast meals. Overall, our stay at Anika could have been a better experience given the setting and facilities, but it was overshadowed by poor customer service by the Manager and a lack of empathy from the person who should have been the most helpful. I truly hope the owners take this feedback seriously and provide proper training to their Manager, especially on hospitality and guest relations. A little kindness and proactive service go a long way in making guests feel welcome—and in our case, it would have made all the difference. I would have given our money to another resort who could have shown improved gratefulness for choosing to stay with them.

Stayed with family for 5 days, 4 nights. Restaurant breakfast was good, service was ok. Rooms were NOT comfortable (beds, pillows, & beddings). Pool is heated too, which was a good thing. Also, be ready to be treated like a trespasser all the time. The whole resort has a very unwelcoming vibe to it. We got asked for our room # all the time like we were trespassing. I get it that it’s a security thing, but there has to be a better way of doing this. Do NOT stay in this resort.

It was a nice place to stay. Wished we stayed longer here. The staffs were so nice. They accommodated to all our request. They have free shuttle service as well - pick up and drop off to the port. In our case, we got picked up from our previous guest house we're staying in for a week, and then on our drop off kuya driver took us to the terminal to Bantayan city proper since we have to go to Ceres Bus Terminal and ride a roro. The pool was clean and fun to swim to.

This resort has a pool and beach front villa that's a handful for this Area, I gave 3 stars because I know there's a room for improvement in the Facilities and Service. the room that we booked, Sunrise Villa is spacious but the Aircondition Unit is too small to cool the room, there's no toothbrush and toothpaste, no refrigerator, side table besides the Bed. It will also be nice if there's a bar in beach area.

La Playa Estrella Beach Resort on Bantayan Island, Cebu offers a serene and less crowded beachfront with pristine white sand and clear blue waters. It's an ideal spot for digital nomads due to its peaceful ambiance and reliable internet connection. The resort is well-maintained, offering reasonably priced food and friendly staff. While lacking a swimming pool, the resort could enhance its amenities by providing free access to the gym and billiards for guests.
La Playa totally exceeded my expectations! The location is absolutely stunning – a bright white beach, crystal-clear turquoise water, and hardly any tourists, which is rare compared to a lot of other beach spots. If you’re looking for a real tropical beach vibe without the crowds, this is the place to be! It’s also just a short 3–4 minute tricycle ride to the market in Santa Fe, and the place itself is really well taken care of. But the best part? The staff!– they’re super friendly, welcoming, and always on top of things. Every Friday and Saturday they do a barbecue with tasty Filipino dishes, and I have to mention this – the bartender makes some seriously amazing cocktails! All in all, a dream getaway if you want that true tropical beach feel, beautiful surroundings, and a laid-back, friendly atmosphere – without all the tourist crowds.

Great small hotel with everything you need on-site. The bar is really nice and entertaining and accommodating to all, Filipinos and foreigners with great choices and billiards. Rooms are a bit worn down and the sliding glass doors are not the best choice for the rooms being on the ground level with all the sand wearing them down. Food is excellent, we nearly tried everything on the menu and loved it all, our kids enjoyed pizza everyday and kept asking for more. They have a shuttle as long as you coordinate with the front desk to have it arranged for you free of charge. The playground kept my kids busy before and after dinner. WiFi was spotty throughout the entire location.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The staff were respectful and kind, which I truly appreciated. The food was delicious but a bit expensive. However, the karaoke noise until midnight disturbed my sleep, the bathroom was not very good, and the internet speed was quite slow. With improvements in these areas, the hotel could provide a much better experience.

We stayed at La Playa Estrella for 3 days and overall had a mixed experience. The good: The location is beautiful—right by a quiet, peaceful beach and away from the busy tourist spots. It’s a great place to relax, and the beach is clean and serene. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which we really appreciated. The not-so-good: The rooms are worn out and really need some updating. Shower pressure was very weak. The food at the restaurant was okay but quite pricey compared to nearby options. The Wi-Fi was practically unusable, and we were told it was due to network provider issues. Biggest issue: We rented scooters from the hotel and were given very old, poorly maintained units. One scooter had a loose key that kept falling out. Despite that, we were asked to pay for a brand-new key at a high price. Even after discussing it with the manager, we felt it was handled unfairly. In short: Lovely location and kind staff, but the facilities and scooter rental experience need serious improvement.

Stayed at La Playa Estrella in Bantayan and had a pleasant experience overall. The room and shower were spacious, and the ac worked really well, which made the stay very comfortable. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. The only downside was that the wifi didn’t reach the room, so you’d need to go to the restaurant/bar/beach areas to connect. Other than that, it was a great place to relax and enjoy Bantayan.
Julia M — Google review
Room maintenance needed! In general a good place with a fantastic access to the beach. Unfortunately the management doesn’t have the view for the details. They need urgent to understand that if they ask „international“ room rates they should als offer „international“ standards. Bath window broken, furniture partially damaged. Definitely it could be seen that the room has a water leak, affecting the wooden furniture. The bathroom and it’s equipment needs an urgent upgrade.
Jan C — Google review
The resort was not crowded, which made for a peaceful stay. However, our room was quite dark and didn’t have a TV. Wi-Fi is only available in the restaurant area, and there’s no swimming pool on the property. Early check-in wasn’t allowed, so we had to wait outside until 2 P.M. — we decided to have lunch at their restaurant while waiting. What I appreciated about this resort is the open mic KTV available for all guests, which added a fun and social touch to the evening. They also offer scooter rentals, which is a convenient option for exploring the area.

I booked a beach view room , on the day we arrived they are giving us a garden view I ask the staff why it's a garden view I showed them that I booked a beach view room! They talk on their language and answer me that this is the room! I ask the staff can u tell me yourself if this room is a beach view? (She just smiled) you ruined our 1st day! But this mistake is a blessing in disguise because as we saw the hotel in person I must say it's a cheap hotel the structure of each room are not cozy it's like an ordinary room!

Santa Fe Beach Club is a pet-friendly resort located on Bantayan Island, approximately 150 km north of Cebu City. The spacious and well-maintained rooms make it an ideal choice for families and large groups of friends. Guests can enjoy the stunning white beach and scenic sea for a minimal fee. The resort's restaurant offers a great selection of food, including the must-try Bantayan Breakfast plate.
This is our second time staying here, and we’ll definitely choose this place again whenever we're in Bantayan. The renovation looks awesome — super cozy and chill vibes. Also, their halo-halo is soooo good, I had one every day! 😂 The food’s actually really good too. Can’t go wrong with this place!

We only had lunch here. We didn’t book rooms. The lunch wasn’t bad. But there were so many menu items that were not available. I swear, if we were in Manila and there were other nearby restaurants, I would have left… the redeeming factor was the friendly servers, and the access to their really clean marriage-proposal ready resort.
Genevieve A — Google review
Sta. Fe Beach Club is conveniently close to the port, though a bit far from MJ Plaza where most restaurants are. But they have amazing sea view! The room was clean and affordable, but the bathroom has a funny smell. Our room is set with fresh sheets and a small refrigerator. A few improvements would help, like adding an awning at the entrance (so the drying rack doesn’t get wet) and cleaning the slight mold on the bathroom door. The staff were very friendly, and we appreciated the complimentary water and free port pick-up. The main downside is the very bumpy road with lots of potholes leading to the resort. Their restaurant is a great convenience and accepts GCash, which we loved. Overall, a pleasant and budget-friendly stay with great service.

I walk into a restaurant, and the ambiance is stunning. It's the kind of place that looks like it's straight out of a magazine, with soft lighting and stylish decor. I can't wait to see if the food lives up to the beautiful setting. But that's where the good part ends. I stand by the entrance for a few minutes, feeling a little lost. The staff is huddled in a corner, laughing and chatting among themselves. They don't seem to notice me at all. I wait patiently, thinking they must be busy, but they don't look up or greet us. They don't even bother to ask if you're there to dine in. Finally, I decide to seat ourselves and hope a server will come over. I’ve been ready to order for a while now, but still, no one has come to our table. I try to get their attention, calling out softly at first, then a little louder. They glance me in our way but quickly go back to their conversation as if I don't exist. It's incredibly frustrating to be so clearly ignored. The beautiful decor and great music can't make up for the complete lack of service. The lack of care from the staff completely ruined my experience. It's honestly baffling how a restaurant that looks this good can have such terrible service. It makes me wonder if all the positive reviews I read were fake. It's a shame because with a staff that actually cares, this place could be amazing. But as it is, it's a huge disappointment.
Ann O — Google review
I like the ambiance of the hotel, every corner is instagrammable, especially the villa. However, I didn’t like the experience. First of all, the bathroom’s floor keeps on having water. Also, the shower area is open, so it can easily get the floor wet. The water has very low pressure which also takes a long time to shower. The worst part is, they have a private “pool” outside their entrance every time it rains!! The road has many big puddles and full of mud! We slipped there twice with our motor, which got us dirty. Luckily, we didn’t fall down and hurt ourselves. They really need to do something about that road!
Kelly C — Google review
We just visit for their front beach view and it has a entrance fee of P100 per head but you can order thru their restaurant and it will serve it you in the front beach. The view is great the beach is clear even it is near in their port Just be cautious for jelly fish
Greg M — Google review
Only able to experience their food and dined at the beachfront with 100php entrance fee which includes wifi and gives you access to their beach and facilities which was super worth it. (you can opt to not pay this but you’ll only be allowed to dine at their restaurant) I super loved the roasted beef we had to order another because ang sarap talaga!! also, their famous scallops, really cheesy and flavorful and the serving is giving!! they also have their own version of halo halo which is a must try as well :))
Karla D — Google review
Location 10/10. Food and service 10/10. Rooms were outdated and not so neat, 5/10. Better to book directly than in agoda because it is cheaper. I hope they fix the road going in the resort because when it is rainy it is very muddy

Marlins Beach Resort on Bantayan Island offers vibrant rooms and cottages with a laid-back beachfront setting. The resort boasts two restaurants and a beachside bar, providing guests with convenient dining options. Visitors can expect spacious accommodations, cozy beds, and a delectable array of local and international cuisine. Additionally, the resort's proximity to nearby attractions makes it an ideal choice for travelers seeking both relaxation and exploration.
A very enjoyable stay at Marlins. The location is perfect right on the beach and only a 2 min walk to the Main Street of restaurants. The hotel/beach faces east and it can get quite windy through the channel. However it’s only a short walk to Kota Beach. The rooms were large, spacious and comfortable with an excellent balcony view. Rooms are cleaned only on request. Typical Filipino buffet breakfast with plenty choice and there’s also a restaurant serving from a good menu. Staff were very helpful and arranged a moped for us. They also do a free transfer to the port where they even arranged the tickets on arrival so a very easy process. Overall a great stay.
Ian M — Google review
We absolutely loved our stay at Marlin's... so much that we extended by 3 nights. Our room was ocean- facing so we had a wonderful view and breeze. We slept with our door open to hear the waves crashing on the steps. The sunrises were so absolutely beautiful... we didn't even have to leave our room to see them (though we did because they were too stunning to miss). Wifi was excellent so my husband could work while I stayed in the shade on the beach all day. Service was excellent, to the point of bringing us beverages and food to our hammock on the beach all day when we wanted a lazy day. There is cool lighting in the room, which we didn't see until the last night. The breeze coming in was far better than any other beach we visited. The food was excellent, and I have no idea how the beach bar and restaurant are not packed. They picked us up from the port and we were greeted with a yummy juice and had cut fruit waiting for us in our room. They rented the perfect large motorbike for us and had it delivered and picked up. You don't actually need a motorbike, since they are walking distance to three area with all the bars and restaurants, but we wanted to explore the island on our own. They also organized massages for us, which we had in the beach. The tides are very cool and the shores are cool to explore during low tide. We'll definitely be back...I can't think of a better hotel experience on Bantanyan Island... we didn't see any other hotel rooms as close to the shore as ours was (if there are, we did not see them and they are not advertised).

“A Diamond in the Rough - Marlins Resort Saved the Day!” After driving to five other big resorts in the area during a power outage, I was in desperate need of a place with a generator, good WiFi, and a big bed. Marlins Resort came to my rescue! The WiFi was strong, the generator reliable, and the bed was massive. As a bonus, my room even had an extra bed—no idea why, but hey, it was a nice surprise. The room also came with a desk (perfect for work), an HD TV, a fridge, and a closet. The only downside? No bidet in the bathroom—seriously, in this day and age?! The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the room comfortable. The free breakfast was a delight, offering six different tasty options to choose from. Eating breakfast with my feet in the sand and enjoying the view of the beach and palm trees was an experience I’ll never forget. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. The beach was another highlight—cleaned daily, making it a joy to walk on. The peaceful nights, ocean breeze, and soothing sound of the waves added to the charm. It’s the perfect spot to relax and unwind. If you’re visiting Bantayan, I highly recommend Marlins Resort. I’ll definitely return on my next trip!

This is a hidden gem on the ocean / coast of Santa Fe Island - Bantayan Island. This is a full service OLDER hotel built in 2003. Exceptionally clean beach with stairs into the ocean. The food is great with healthy options like Greek salad etc. its location is in the heart of the small beach town . Many restaurants, pharmacy , laundry, places to see local bands.. Price of rooms 3500 and higher . Check website though. Kid friendly

Warm staff. Big rooms. This is an old hotel though. Wide area ideally for groups. The food served is huge and that goes to the price. The unique happy hour is 2-4pm and 8-10pm. My taste goes to the lumpia and pancit. So try it if you love those! 😘🏝️😆😂

Rooms were spacious but dark during the day and too blue (blue walls, ceiling even blue light fixtures) it would be better a crisp white. Nice beach and location. Very quiet. It was such an amazing place to stay at. Clean and comfortable rooms, accommodating owner, and the view was astonishing. We also rented a bike (with pedals) from this place, I highly recommend it so you can bike around the streets and it was one of the best decision we have ever made!

Really loved our stay here that my friend and I decided to extend for one more night. I recommend you to book the Deluxe Queen room compared to Deluxe double as the latter was quite old but still well maintained. It was so peaceful here and you can have a quiet time by the beach (they have a small shore area) or swim by the pool. We got our breakfast setup on the table overlooking the sea and really enjoyed it. The downside was this area is quite far from the restaurants but you can still have your food delivered here so it was not a problem for us. Mobile signal (smart) is very weak to none. I had to go out of the room to send text message or make calls. Has wifi but could not recommend for working here as it disconnects every now and then.

Spent 3 days and 2 nights in this resort and it was a great stay because it feels exclusive, a great place to unwind and away from noise. The amenities that I love would be their pool. The room is perfect for two and it got all our needs. It would be perfect if their receptionist could be more welcoming. All in all I recommend this place.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a stunning view of the ocean. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and accommodating to help. The resort's location by the sea was perfect for all kind of water activities and the beach was just steps away from the room. The resort also had a great pool and a bar where you can enjoy a cold drink with your friends. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a fun and exciting beach vacation. Five stars all around, this place is straight fire!

I would highly recommend for a getaway with your special someone or even with your family. The place has a quaint vibe to it, and it has it's own beachfront where you can request a private dinner (best for anniversary celebrations or stuff like that). The rooms were really nice and the place was away from the crowded touristy areas, but close enough for a 2 minute motorcycle ride to the center. I would recommend that you rent a motorcycle if you're planning to stay here for a few days. This place is just awesome and the staff are super 👌

Tiki Bar is a delightful establishment where you can savor a diverse array of delectable dishes hailing from various countries such as Italy, the Philippines, and Thailand. In addition to their extensive menu, let's delve into more details about this fantastic venue. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for enjoying breakfast. The English variant I tried was exceptional; moreover, the coffee and watermelon juice were both deliciously refreshing.
Stayed in Bantayan for 2 nights and ate here for all my breakfast’s and dinners. Food was so tasty! I saw a review saying the food wasn’t that good, but I really don’t know what they were talking about..? The food was excellent quality, great portion size, and the staff were really good. The burgers were very nice, and I would highly recommend the chicken wrap and English Breakfast! If you buy a cocktail, be prepared to have your head blown off, because they don’t cut short on the alcohol. I would Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for something for great value and taste!

We only tried their drinks and shisha so I can’t say anything about their food. They serve really good cocktails with lots of options to choose from. I love that the drinks are also not pricey the ones that we ordered ranges from 190-240 pesos a drink only. They offer shisha at 450 pesos (?) if I remember correctly. Overall, it’s a good place to chill I just hope that they have mosquito repellents

Our 5-night stay at Tiki Bar and Restaurant was a delight. The cozy ambiance and central location in Sta. Fe made it a convenient choice. The breakfast, especially the egg omelette with cheese, paired with a delightful cafe latte, was a highlight. The tranquility of the place allowed for a restful stay, and the mere 200-meter walk to the beach added to its charm. Tiki Bar and Restaurant offers a perfect blend of comfort, good food, and proximity to the beautiful beach – a truly enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.🌴🏝🫰

The place is decent. Quite a lot of seating areas where big groups can be accommodated. Staff are friendly and accommodating with our requests. We ordered the following: Mango shake - we requested not to put sugar which they were okay about. However, it was mostly warm and it’s too watery to be a shake. It tasted like canned mango juice watered down. You can see on the video & photo. If it’s not the case, they didn’t put enough mango & ice for it to have the shale consistency. Caesar salad - the salad was decent enough. The dressing was good. I liked the flavor. However, croutons were stale and already soggy and its a mixed of iceberg lettuce & romaine lettuce (not a lot of this). Grilled pork chop - it looks good but unfortunately it was too dry and so hard to chew on. They gave us butter knife to cut it too. I hope whoever cooked this should know better.

Room is kinda old. We got the deluxe room. Only 1 outlet is availabe inside the room. There is another one but it's outside. You cannot use the tv while charging your phone since you also need to plug the cable. Aircon and cabinet are dusty and needs to be cleaned. Comfort room is okay. Working hot shower. Anion air purifier is a plus though. Bed is clean and pillows are fluffy. ----- It's not that near to MJ Square but nearer to the port. Accessibility wise, you just need to ride either tricycle or rent sa motorcycle so you can save when you want to explore the food hubs or attractions. ----- We ordered lunch from their restaurant. Serving time was 40 mins per the front desk but it took more than an hour before they can serve the food. Restaurant aesthetic needs improvement like the furnishings are kinda old. Nevertheless, the food was okay and portions are generous. Good job to the cook for the very tasty pansit. ---- Customer service is good but needs improvement. A simple gesture of greetings would go a very long way. They had OJTs checking us in but they are kind of timid and does not feel very welcoming. Smiling and a little bit of engagement with the visitors would really set the mood. --- Overall, I would still recommend this place for those who hope for a quiet place where you can think and clear your mind.

We didn't had any towels in the room because they ran out of it.. Non beach rooms need repairings (ceilings) and repaintings. Check it they have events on the resort (weddings). For it'll be noisy and trashes scattering over the front beach the next morning. I would not recommend the restaurant too..

Nice ang Location sa Area, beach front view staffs are also friendly. The only downside is that we were given a not so satisfying room at first, the bed sheet was not changed at all you could see the smudges of dirt for both two bed. The sink inside the CR is damaged too. Every time you used the faucet the water runs through the floor. The drainage is clogged too. Both shower in 2 rooms that we occupied are not working. Although they have a friendly staff, their services don’t met our demand. We asked for two extra foam bed, 2 extra pillows and 2 blanket prior to check in. However they did not provide the blanket we previously request. When we asked them again about the blanket they said the in-charge already gone home. Causing 3 of my companion to sleep in a cold night, one of them is a preschooler.

The location is good, the beach area is perfect. It's a wonderful beach! The staff were friendly, very helpful, providing an extra pillow and flasks of hot water water when requested. The rooms were adequate, very clean - but do need a few repairs. There are also a few restaurants along the beach which were nice to visit.

Location is nice. Beach front, very relaxing. But this resort is not worth it for its price and not worth it for your stay because when we came to our room, it seems like the staff did not clean at all. The floor, the comfort room and even the pillows were very dirty. Not worth it. Hays

Rooms are decent. We LOVED the beach. The sand was white and clean compared to the other major beaches on the island. It's peaceful as well. They also have their own simple resto where you can eat and drink.
JP M — Google review
Temper your expectations, this resort is good enough and livable, but it's no 5-star resort. There's no true 5 star in Bantayan though, so I'd say this is one of the hotels to choose if you want a nice beachfront experience. The service is fun and friendly during bfast time. Food was good and they even plated and brought take out meals to our rooms. Only flaw is the cleanliness of the outside table. We had a blue outside table and when we brought it in and cleaned it with alcohol, there were lots of grime and dirt. Took us multiple wet wipes to leave it spotless. I'd also highly recommend to have a bucket of water for cleaning sand in shoes in front of the rooms. It'll keep the room clean. At the end of the 3-day stay we had so much sand particles in the CR it clogged the drain. No housekeeping. Having said that, our beachfront view had a good sunrise that lit up our beds in the morning, so perhaps the struggles are simply city living musings.

Upon arrival at Bantayan Island we called the resort who were kind enough to send out a driver to pick us up from the port. We had a short wait before he arrived in a damp smelling Mercedes van. A little while later we arrived st the resort. I have to confess, the grounds were very well maintained and showed signs of promise. The gardens were well kept and the pool was equally as nice. Where the resort fell down for me was the room. As soon as we entered the room all illusions were shattered. Cracks in the walls, broken floor tiles, ugly decor and an unusual smell. Upon clover inspection, the room had an ant infestation problem. We swiftly decided that we would stay elsewhere and had the driver take us to a resort more to our expectations. Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible but could definitely use some improvement.

The Hungry Beach Co. is a new food hub located in Bantayan, offering a wide variety of delicious food with the ideal ambiance for an island food strip. Situated right next to the beach with coconut trees all around, it provides a perfect setting for a chill dining experience by the ocean waves. Visitors can enjoy walks on the sand and ambient lighting while indulging in delectable dishes from friendly locals.
Nice to dine and get your first night drinks here at The Hungry Beach Co near Kota Beach. I got Hawaiian pizza at the Quench Pizza stall and ordered pitcher cocktail, french fries ans kropek at the Sand Bar. The food selection are great on this food park. Fairly priced, chill vibe, music and best kota beach view.

Good options for food— wish the toilets were better - with running water and hand soap. They should also serve fresh Biko /coconuts as it’s beach front .

This new food hub in Bantayan is now my favorite Go-To in the island. They have the most ideal ambience for an island food strip. You are literally next to the beach and there are coconut tree everywhere. My birthday dinner by the beach was achieved here. Highly recommend M's Sweet Creations their food was soooo good and priced well. Not to mention the staff were super accommodating. I requested a table outside of the food hub by the beach and they gladly obliged. Thanks to the extremely accommodating staff maybe owner — Joseph. This is a must place to go in Sta. Fe if you want to experience the island vibes and they have the best music choice to jam to. Best to go at night to avoid the extreme summer heat and enjoy the lights & music which are absent during the daytime.

Want to dine near the beach or even by the beach? This place is perfect for you. Located in one of Bantayan Island's famous Beach, Kota Beach, this food park offers a lot of food and drinks choices. We also loved the ambience. We personally tried the mixed sea food in Cajun sauce and it was delicious! Must try!

Decided to visit this new food park and they have a variety of foods. We tried the daily drip cafe and ordered their caramel macchiato and matcha latte. It was good. Got also a takeout from M’s Sweet Creation and their burger is also good and affordable.

We came on a Wednesday night and there were 3 food stalls opened. We dined at Tolyo's and got baked scallops, shrimp lumpia and grilled pork belly. The atmosphere felt good maybe because it's a seaside place. They only have sodas for drinks. The servers are nice and they have a TV playing a movie so that's a plus for me

Highly recommend Red Flag! I had the seafood set A (1 person) in Cajun sauce and it was delicious. The sauce was so flavourful and all the seafood was cooked perfectly. It also comes with rice, I didn’t finish it all as there was so much food. That sauce 🤤
