Southern restaurant (US)
Restaurant
Mary Mac's Tea Room is a beloved Atlanta institution that has been serving up Southern comfort food since the 1940s. Despite its closure during the pandemic, this classic eatery remains a staple in the city's dining scene. Known for its homey atmosphere and traditional Old South cooking, Mary Mac's offers a menu filled with hearty dishes like Brunswick stew, fried pork chops, chicken and dumplings, and fried oysters.
Mary Mac’s delivers a true Southern dining experience that feels like stepping back in time. From the start, we were treated to a small bowl of pot likker (the flavorful broth from boiled greens) served with cornbread and rolls. It was rich, comforting, and a delicious way to begin the meal. For appetizers, we tried the fried livers, which were perfectly seasoned and cooked—absolutely excellent. My husband ordered the chicken and dumplings with sweet potatoes. While the flavor was spot on, the dish could have used a bit more chicken. I had the fried chicken wings with collard greens and fried green tomatoes, and everything was tasty, especially the greens. Portions were very generous, leaving us with plenty for leftovers that night. The atmosphere is warm, nostalgic, and full of Southern charm, making the experience just as memorable as the food. Service was friendly and efficient, adding to the welcoming feel. Overall, Mary Mac’s is a must-visit for anyone craving hearty Southern comfort food. We’ll definitely return the next time we’re in Atlanta!

Mary Mac’s Tea Room was such a memorable first experience with true Southern comfort food! Our waitress, Cali, was absolutely wonderful — she took the time to explain the menu, gave us great recommendations, and even brought out samples of collard greens so we could try them for the first time. I ordered the fried chicken with green beans and sweet potato mash, and everything was cooked to perfection. The whole meal felt homemade and comforting. Such a welcoming spot with amazing food and even better hospitality!

I came here by myself in the late afternoon to grab a bite to eat. Prior to coming to Atlanta I asked a local where to get the best fried chicken and they recommended this place. After leaving, I swore to myself, I would never eat again. Not because the food was bad, but because it was very rich, filling, and I ate way too much of it. There was a short wait when I arrived so they served me complementary sweet tea in the lobby. I was taken to my table and amazed at how large the places, with many different rooms where people were dining. I sat down and the server kindly explained the ordering process. She brought me more sweet tea, a basket of bread, And a sample of their soup with collard greens since it was my first time in. I ordered the smothered chicken and sides of mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, grits, and peach cobbler for dessert. All of it was incredible, but I had no business eating that much gravy in one sitting. They are not lying when they say the chicken is smothered. The chicken was amazing and my favorite part of the dish. My least favorite part was the grits, but I don’t think they were bad, they were just a very plain.

Authentic southern cuisine with great price and service. Over 80 years being one of the best. You just need to come and try it yourself. Beautiful decor and phenomenal environment. I loved the menu, but make sure to ask any question about your dish before you order if you are not sure, they will gladly take their time and even recommend for you. Decent size parking lot and plenty of room inside. I would recommend to reserve on weekends. Would def comeback and recommend this place to friends and family.

October 2025 We came here after strong recommendation from our hotel staff. We were seated quickly on a wobbly table and we asked for a change. Our request was met swiftly and the staff changed the wobbly table. A good sign that they know their guests experience is important. Our waiter identified we were first time guests quickly and without hesitation cornbread was served. He also recommended some of the signature items on the menu. Our food arrived impressive timely. We were very please with our selection and the recommendations on their large selection of side dishes. Fried chicken is a must try and the devil eggs were delicious. My rating as 5 is very satisfied Taste 5/5 Temperature 5/5 Speed of service 5/5 Cleanliness 5/5 Attentiveness and courteous 5/5 Highly recommended and will love to revisit. This is a well run southern cuisine establishment.

Atlanta born and raised, but I visited for the first time on their 80th anniversary. 🤷🏿‍♀️ Went for the free peach cobbler offered. 🍑😊 First timers get a free sample pot likker. The mac and cheese was... interesting. Not used to the taste. The chicken was dry despite the gravy. 😑🍗 I had to request hot sauce. The tea was super sweet.🥤 The cabbage and rolls were good. The cornbread was okay. The dressing was decent. The cranberry sauce made it 😋. And of course the cobbler was not as good as mine. I still may visit again to try another item. Loved the decor and history at every turn. From the hosts, to the bus boy and my server- the customer service was 🙌🏿👍🏿

First time in Atlanta and Mary Mac’s Tea Room was recommended by our tour guide for its fried chicken, peach cobbler, and other southern treats. Spot on! The fried chicken was crispy and moist without too much batter! I paired it with fried okra bites and collard greens with a sprinkle of pepper sauce. Topped it off with a peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream for my version of a delicious southern meal! Shout out to our server Travon who took good care of us first-timers!

My grandma and grandpa used to go here when my dad was a child….When my grandpa was studying and grandma was working across the street. It was nice to be able to go here with my family for the first time and hear stories from my grandpa, even though we were here a couple hours before close, they were still extremely patient with us. And they were able to manage my cousin’s celiac disease very well. Thank you for the nice family dinner and good southern food! The chicken was amazing - somehow still so juicy even though it was fried

Chicken restaurant
Restaurant
Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken is a long-standing chain known for its spicy fried chicken and comforting sides, offering a low-key dining experience. Originating from a small town in Tennessee, this restaurant has been serving up their renowned old family recipe since 1953. With multiple locations across Atlanta, including Sandy Springs, Chamblee, and Downtown Atlanta, patrons can enjoy delicious and affordable Southern comfort food.
We ended up finding this treasure because it wasn’t far from our hotel. It reminds us of your typical mom and pop eatery. It had a very welcoming energy to it, from the owners/chefs, to the waiters even down to the customers. Everyone was really friendly and spoke to each other which was nice. We were seated almost immediately and our orders placed quickly and was a very smooth process. We received our food and we all really enjoyed it. Now the batter used to fry the chicken was slightly spicy but we got through it (the bread was definitely helpful). There was another group beside us that said they couldn’t stomach the spicy and the chef was very accommodating and offered to change the batter for them and even made sure we were okay with what we had. The food was really good and super fresh to the point all the guys wanted to go back later that night. We did have an encounter with a panhandler while we were eating but someone who works there quickly responded and made sure they not only left the customers alone, but that we were also okay, and then gave the guy a free drink. It’s safe to say we were well taken care of and thoroughly enjoyed our food and would be back if given the chance.

If you don’t mind waiting, Gus’s serves up delicious, perfectly cooked chicken and tasty sides. I got the three piece dark meat plate with extra sides, and loved every bite. The chicken was very moist and juicy, with a slight kick to it, and a wonderfully crispy exterior. I visited Gus’s multiple times because the chicken was just so perfectly cooked and seasoned. Compliments to the chef!
Alice — Google review
The customer service was great…friendly and attentive, but unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations. The chicken was absolutely delicious, 10/10! However, the greens tasted like canned Glory Greens, and the macaroni and cheese fell short; it reminded me of boxed mac and cheese dressed up with a few sprinkles of cheese and a dash of paprika. The potato salad also lacked luster. The waitress initially recommended the slaw and baked beans, mentioning they were “freshly house made,” and after tasting them, I quickly understood why she was pushing them! Overall, while the service was good, the food could benefit from a bit more authenticity and flavor to match the warm hospitality.
Grace R — Google review
Decent, but Not Brag-Worthy I visited Gus’s Fried Chicken today and honestly—it was just okay. I’ve had a lot of fried chicken in the area, and this didn’t really stand out. The mac & cheese was disappointing, and the baked beans were just alright. The chicken was pretty good, but not the best I’ve had—not by a long shot. As someone from the South who grew up on real Southern cooking, I’d say it’s worth trying once to check it off the list, but I wouldn’t rush back.

I stopped in and had the fried catfish platter. It was very tasty and a good deal at ~$15. The team was very nice. It didn't take long at all to come up. The fries and the catfish were piping hot and just made.

Everytine work brings me to downtown Atlanta, I go to Gus's. Best chicken tenders. Lightly breaded, not flaked and formed chicken, and a little heat as well. Worth the wait. Highly recommend. Gus's will not disappoint.

My friend kept telling me to try this place when I went to Atlanta on a business trip. I was excited to see that it was literally one block from my hotel. We walked up there as soon as they opened at 11 o’clock. The staff was very nice. Our waitress was great and so was the manager. There were quite a few people who came in late that worked there that the manager was yelling at lol they didn’t seem very concerned with being over an hour late. But that didn’t have anything to do with the food. We wanted potato salad and they said the potato salad was not ready. Right when we finish eating, someone yelled from the back and said the potato salad was ready. The manager put two small containers in a bag for me and my friend for free! It was so good. I got the two piece with mac & cheese and greens and they actually gave us three pieces of chicken for the price of two. The food was great. The people were great. The atmosphere was OK. The only issue we had was a homeless man came in and sat at the bar next to us and kept trying to talk to us. he was chugging a huge bottle Of ciroc that he clearly stole from a bar. They gave him some food and told him to leave. The manager said don’t worry, ladies we deal with this stuff all the time. They handled it very well. I would recommend and I would definitely be back.

Delicious chicken! Probably the best I’ve ever had, so yummy. Food was all fantastic, reason for 4 stars is everything took so long. It was a busy night so maybe they were understaffed but food took 30 min, and then waiting for check was another 30 min and we never got drink refills. Place was clean and cozy, food for small or large groups, but be ready to wait if it’s a weekend or busy night.

Paschal's Restaurant & Bar, located in Castleberry Hill, is a renowned spot for Southern cuisine with a historic and soulful dining experience. Established in 1947, it offers signature dishes like the 1947 Old Fashion fried chicken sandwich and jumbo deep-fried shrimp served with Paschal's special dipping sauce. The restaurant was once a gathering place for civil rights activists and continues to attract diverse crowds today.
The restaurant was clean and the service was nice. We ordered the collard green dip, it was tasty although I would have enjoyed pita chips or some kinda crispy chips to go with it, they did offer a bread to go with it. The fried chicken was very well seasoned, and The candid yams was out of sight! The potato salad was just okay, but overall, everything was very well seasoned, and I do eat a lot, and I was satisfied with the portions. I also, appreciate the fact that we received sweet cornbread, it was very good because some places do not serve bread with their southern meals, and that is a must have for me. The wait staff was very professional and kind. Attentive to our needs, yet, not overbearing. Yes, I'll definitely return in the future.

Family of four arrived at 7pm. There was valet parking that I was not aware of. We didn’t have a reservation, so the wait was about 20–25 minutes. Once seated, the area was clean, though it took a little while for the waitress to come over. The food was good overall—check out the pictures. One concern: the menus are in very small print, which led to us accidentally ordering something my son was allergic to. The manager did not honor removing it from the bill without a reason provided, yet the drinks removed, which was close to the same value. I would have appreciated if the manager came to speak with me directly rather than sending the waitress. Overall, the food was good and the atmosphere was nice. This place was recommended as a spot to check out on our trip to the A and I definitely expected a bit more of that Southern home-style friendliness and environment. Still, it’s a good spot to eat.

Paschal's is more than just a restaurant; it's a living piece of Atlanta's history and a true institution for Southern soul food. Stepping inside, you can feel the rich legacy that permeates the space. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet welcoming, with a vibe that honors its past while offering an elegant dining experience. The food, however, is the main event and it completely blew me away. The legendary fried chicken lived up to its reputation—crispy on the outside, incredibly juicy on the inside. We started with some great appetizer choices like the **catfish tenders** and the unique **collard green dip**, both of which were fantastic. The traditional sides were equally impressive. The **potato salad** was creamy and perfectly seasoned, tasting like something a grandmother would make. The **black-eyed peas** were tender and flavorful, and the **candied yams** were the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Even the **fried okra** was exceptional, crispy and seasoned just right. The most unforgettable part of the night was a surprise visit from a **robot waiter**, which delivered our food right to our table. We were celebrating a birthday, and the look on the birthday man's face when the robot arrived was priceless—it was a truly modern and fun twist to a traditional meal. This unique blend of authentic, high-quality Southern cooking and a touch of futuristic service makes dining at Paschal's a unique and unforgettable experience.

Paschal’s was a must-visit when I was doing my research on food in Atlanta, and I’m glad we came. I had the fried chicken with mac n’ cheese, and candied yams, and I have to say, it was some of the best I’ve ever had. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and adding their sport pepper sauce took it to another level. The mac n’ cheese was spot on..it was creamy and flavorful. For dessert, we tried the bread pudding with both the blueberry sauce and the rum sauce. Both were good, but the rum sauce was my favorite. Service was excellent, our server, Janisha, was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. She even sent me home with a cup of sweet tea to go, which was a nice touch. Great food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back if I’m in Atlanta.

We came to Paschal’s to celebrate my best friend’s mom’s birthday and the service was excellent from start to finish. I had the catfish fingers to start and they were delicious, super crispy and seasoned just right. For my entrée, I ordered the blackened salmon with collard greens and mac n cheese, plus it came with a cornbread muffin. The salmon was okay. It was cooked well done, which I usually don’t mind, but I think if it had come off the heat about 3 minutes earlier it would have been perfect. Flavor-wise it was decent, not bland but not standout either. The collard greens were excellent and full of flavor. The mac n cheese was pretty good but just a little on the dry side. The cornbread muffin was solid. Overall, the food was good with some hits and a few things that could have been better. I would definitely come back for the catfish fingers and the collards, and the great service made the experience even better.

Came here for a friend’s bday. Took a while to get seated but I totally understand it was a busy Saturday with lots of bdays so I’m not upset. Comes with the territory. Everyone we encountered was super nice and accommodating. My food was good. I had the 1947 3 pc fried chicken, with collard greens, Mac and yams and a cornbread muffin. Chicken was amazing. Yams were very good, but on the sweeter side. Mac and cheese was pretty good too. Wasn’t the biggest fan of the cornbread muffin…it was flavorful, but dry. Not was I a fan of the collards. They were a bit bitter. I’d definitely come back and try different sides though.
Lizette C — Google review
1st time visitor, came for dinner Wednesday night. I ordered the Meatloaf with gravy, mac & cheese, and black eyed peas. The food was perfect! Everything was fresh, warm, and very flavorful. I do agree with what others have said before: the cornbread is very dry. Given the entire place other than 3 other tables and 2 people at the bar, it was quite empty. Not sure if this is normal for a weekday night or not. 10/10, would come again!

Takeout Restaurant
Established in 1947, Busy Bee Cafe is a beloved Atlanta soul food restaurant known for its traditional Southern dishes and budget-friendly prices. The cafe's daily meat-and-three plates and famous fried chicken have made it a favorite among locals and notable figures like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Oprah Winfrey. Recognized by the James Beard Foundation as an American Classic, Busy Bee Cafe continues to showcase regional specialties with timeless appeal.
I'm giving the food four stars because the fried chicken was good but not exceptional. However, it was later in the day and so maybe it wasn't at its best. BUT, the sides were incredible! So full of flavor! And the service and atmosphere were absolutely spot on. So friendly and authentic Atlanta. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there. If you're in Atlanta definitely stop in. Highly recommend.
Jacob G — Google review
We were so excited to try Busy Bee but unfortunately our experience was deeply disappointing. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food — just one plate and two extra sides — while we watched at least 10 other people come and go with their orders. When our food finally arrived, it was cold and extremely salty. The service was confusing: polite at moments but also sharp and borderline rude. Our drink was forgotten and took another 6 minutes to get, which felt careless given how long we’d already been waiting. When we arrived, we were told to scan a QR code and had the option to order through the website or with the staff member directly. We chose the website and still left a tip, even though all she did was hand us the bag. The inside of the restaurant is closed so you have to wait outside or in your car — which would be fine if the food was prompt and warm. Sadly, it wasn’t. If you’re thinking what I’m thinking — maybe you’re right. Watching so many others served ahead of us for no clear reason left us wondering if there was something more behind it. It’s sad that in 2025, we can still feel so far behind when it comes to how we treat each other. We left feeling like we paid good money just to be treated poorly. So much excitement and money wasted — it honestly felt like we paid to be bullied. I hope this feedback helps them do better, but I can’t recommend Busy Bee based on our experience.
Sarah E — Google review
Food was good. I got the pork chops dinner with Mac and cheese and collard greens. Mac and cheese wasn't bad but wasn't good. Collard greens was great as well as pork chops. Wait time was long as we called our order in but waited over 40 minutes for our food. You had to wait outside for your order. It was hot. First time eating here.
Charlotte G — Google review
My husband and I stopped at Busy Bee to see what the hype was about and I was disappointed. We flew in from Maryland to watch a wonderful play called F Punk at 7 Stages and have lunch. Upon arriving at Busy Bees the host said we are not seating anyone because we are opening a new shop. I was not sure what one had to do with the other but, there was seating outside. So you scan the menu outside and let the host know what you want. After ordering, the wait was about 30 minutes. We start feeling sick sitting outside because the parking lot has new asphalt that had extremely strong toxic smell coming from it. So we moved around until the food came. Finally, the order was here and just in time because it started raining on us. I have to say, the prices do not match the quality of food not one bit. For two meals one fried fish and the other chicken wings it was mediocre at best for a couple of items and just not good for others. The banana pudding was mushy and terrible. I took one bite and threw it away. The wings were too salty and the green were basic. The fried fish and macaroni was ok. The peach cobbler was not good and did not taste fresh but seemed like they use can peaches. Coming to Georgia I would think fresh peaches would be used. This was a waste of $84.00 I am sorry to say. Wow definitely one of the best fried chicken i have had that doesn’t have any special sauce or anything… Their skin is so so darn well cooked and I can’t really explain. Their chicken is not as juicy as I thought but def not dry at all. Service was amazing we went on a Sat morning they only did takeout only so we just ate outside. Worth coming here if u have layover in ATL or visiting!!

Came here after watching a YouTube video saying it was the best fried chicken in America so I had to try it. It is very, very good chicken and you should taste it for yourself! Very juicy, crispy, and well seasoned. Would definitely recommend to my friends. Fries were also very good. Wish I liked the Mac and cheese more than I did, but not too bad. It is pickup only and the lady who gave us our food was pleasant.

I placed a couple of orders online on Monday and arrived about 20 minutes before the expected pickup time. Upon arrival, I headed inside. The dining room was in disarray. The tables were pushed to one side with junk and papers on top of them. I was immediately told to wait outside. Food was sitting in plastic bags on top of one of the tables. So, when I was served about 10 minutes later, the server grabbed a plastic bag off the table. The chicken was sweaty and looked soggy in spots. The vegetables were lukewarm. Perhaps, it’s better to order in the parking lot and wait.

As a tourist in Atlanta, The Busy Bee Café was on my must-visit list—and it didn’t disappoint! The staff were friendly, and waiting outside with locals and delivery drivers added to the charm. The food was incredible—I nearly finished everything in my container, which says a lot since I don’t usually eat half a chicken in one sitting! A true taste of Atlanta and an experience I’m so glad I didn’t miss.

South City Kitchen Midtown is a charming restaurant located in a historic bungalow in the heart of Midtown. It offers a modern and lively ambiance with an open kitchen, serving contemporary Southern cuisine for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. The menu features inventive takes on classic Southern dishes, including gluten-free options. Dishes like smoke-roasted beef benedict and crab cake hash showcase the innovative approach to traditional flavors.
Average 40/person. Great food great portion. I tried the chicken liver as appetizer. Fried chicken and shrimp and grits as entree. Everything is authentic and perfect. The grits make my stomach feel warm. Shrimps sue good quality. Finally can’t forget the free but unique cornbread . Totally recommend!

Our brunch experience was absolutely fabulous. We started with cocktails, and both the Country Thyme Lemonade and the Midtown Mary were perfectly balanced. The Lemonade was light, crisp, and refreshing—not too sweet—exactly how I like it. Much like the deviled eggs, every flavor felt thoughtfully balanced and delicious. When it came to food, both plates impressed. The King Biscuit was a hearty, flavor-packed sandwich—generous in size and not overly salted like so many places. I loved it; the only thing that could have made it even better would’ve been a touch more sausage in the gravy. Then there was That Sandwich—and wow. The bread was perfectly toasted, the egg cooked exactly to order, and the city ham was incredible. The sauce tied it all together beautifully, making every bite memorable. Finally, a special shout-out to AJ, our bartender. Sitting at the bar made the meal even better—AJ’s warm, fun energy created such an inviting atmosphere that elevated the whole experience. Balanced flavors, standout dishes, and amazing service—this brunch hit all the right notes. Can’t wait to come back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ SOUTHERN COMFORT PERFECTION! Y'all, I've found fried chicken heaven at South City Kitchen! Showed up early for my lunch res and they welcomed me like family—even checked my luggage (true Southern hospitality right there). THE FOOD: Fried green tomatoes? Tangy-savory perfection. The fried chicken deserves its own fan club—juicy meat, shatteringly crisp exterior, and their housemade hot sauce is EVERYTHING. Collards retained actual texture (hallelujah!) and those buttermilk biscuits should be illegal. INSIDER TIP: They're super accommodating with allergies and the patio seating is primo. Yes, it's a bit $$$, but sometimes you gotta splurge for the best Southern food in Atlanta. Worth. Every. Penny.

Delicious! The food here is very southern and exquisite. While the pork chop and shrimp is good, the star of the show is clearly the side dishes: biscuits, corn bread and fabulous grits. I never thought I'd write about succatash, but, wow, it was fantastic. Topping it off were really wonderful drinks including a blood orange spritzer (not clear if that was the proper name). Very well presented and fun outdoor patio.

Absolutely amazing! The food presentation, flavor, creativity of menu ingredients all exceeded expectations! Rosalee provided a level of service I have not received in a very long time. Her service along with the food a cocktails made for a phenomenal brunch experience in ATL.

Food was delicious and so fresh. Cornbread and biscuits melt in your mouth. Would highly recommend the crab cakes, as a NE girlie I was pleasantly surprised by the crab cakes. The market fish was also perfectly cooked and I loved the red pepper sauce.

We found this restaurant on a whim, thanks Google! We really loved it because of its Farm to table style using fresh ingredients and a great fresh twist on Southern classics. We will be back tomorrow! The service was fantastic and our waiter was charming with a southern class. Things were running a little bit slow but that's because the place was so packed full of other hungry diners.

The Colonnade is a long-standing establishment that has been serving classic Southern dishes since 1927. Located on Cheshire Bridge Road, it offers an unpretentious space where patrons can enjoy favorites like fried chicken, coleslaw, salmon croquettes, chicken-fried steak, grilled calf's livers, and oyster and shrimp platters. The diverse crowd it attracts ranges from little old ladies to drag queens and working individuals.
This was a very pleasant experience. We started off with the calamari which gave a nice large amount and was delicious! The cornbread was good and the rolls were to die for, we had to ask for more to go. I got the salmon croquettes, black eyed peas and collard greens. The greens were nice and savory, the black eye peas were good too. One of our party members spinach had too much garlic but that is our only small complaint.
Whole — Google review
The Colonnade is one of Atlanta’s oldest restaurants, and even from walking up to the building from the parking lot, it exudes history and character. Right inside there’s an a wall of the restaurant’s changes and accolades over the years. You can see menus dating back to like the 1930s, movie posters of different ones that have been filmed there and more. It’s super cool. I think this place stays pretty busy, especially for dinner. If your party ends up having to wait, they have an extra room to the right side that has a bar where you can order a drink while you wait. But the bartender don’t mess around- if you don’t know what you want, she’ll move on to the next guest that does. We were blown away by how good the prime rib was. One of the best cuts of meat most of us had had- and even my family from Wyoming that live on a ranch and raise their own delicious beef agreed. That’s a high compliment. I tried the stuffed salmon off of the specials menu and it was okay- needed a little more seasoning but I still enjoyed it. Every guest also gets 2 pieces of bread while waiting for the entrees. Honestly I wasn’t impressed with a majority of the food, except for that dang prime rib. We had a great waitress as well who made the experience that much better. It’s definitely an expensive meal but it’s a nicer restaurant in my opinion not a casual place so you can’t expect to pay casual prices. I will definitely be back to try the prime rib again and make sure it really was that good because it was almost unbelievable.

fun, old-timey restaurant that desperately needs a face lift but please don’t ever change! server was especially sweet and helpful. all requests were granted within moments…none of that nonsense waiting for ketchup while the onion rings get cold. the yeast rolls and butter are a great start to the meal. my fried catfish was spot on and the portion was huge. against all odds, managed to consume all of it which was a feat. onion rings were above average. whipped potatoes were also a cut above although i’ve had better a handful of times. super satisfying meal at a price point which seems like a quaint relic from decades ago.

Me and my wife enjoyed dinner at this restaurant this past Sunday. All I can say is while we were waiting on our food there was a group of ladies singing beautifully in the waiting area so I knew it would be a great meal. I had the fried Chicken and she had Roasted turkey and dressing and the food was amazing. We had fried green tomatoes and Brunswick St w as appetizer and both those items were fantastic as well. Our server was fantastic and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. If I could give this place 10 stars I would.

The Colonnade still pleases with a relaxed atmosphere, welcoming staff, and well executed comfort food. It is friendly to individuals or groups. We had a family dinner, and I ordered shrimp and grits. The shrimp were perfectly cooked. Grits were creamy and topped with a delicious sauce. Note scattered sliced okra, which some may not enjoy. Side of thickly cut onion rings was yummy. Recommended for a moderately priced enjoyable meal.

Food was exceptional. Southern cooking at its best everything we had here was superb! Done for three and everything from sides to drinks were much better than average. A true southern treat! Hattie B's Hot Chicken, a renowned Nashville establishment, has expanded to Atlanta with its newest location in Midtown. The restaurant offers a range of hot chicken flavors from mild to extremely spicy. Their dark meat platter with sides like pimento mac & cheese and collard greens is highly recommended, while the white meat options may not be as moist and flavorful. Despite long lines and crowded spaces, Hattie B's is considered by many to serve the best fried chicken in Atlanta.
This is one of the greatest restaurants in all of Atlanta. They have the best Chicken. It’s flavorful and you can choose your slice level. The chicken is cooked perfectly and it’s crispy too. They really nailed the recipe. It also comes with a pickle on top. I also recommend the fried pickles and fries. Both are crunchy and go well with the chicken sandwich. My wife got half a chicken and it was juicy. 10/10 recommend that or a chicken sandwich. The banana pudding is also incredible. I’m not even a huge fan of banana pudding but this is definitely worth the try. If you’re in Atlanta, you need to stop here.

I’ve tried multiple hot chickens, but this was one of the best that I’ve done in the recent past. I’m traveling to Atlanta and have to find this place. Their burgers are amazing and their chicken is fried to perfection. The Chris the spice quality of meat was outstanding the temperature of the meat was cooked so scientifically perfect back you can’t go wrong with it. You have to try their hot chicken sandwich. It has the perfect level of sweetness spicy, tender, juicy meat. Their staff is very knowledgeable and super helpful. Kept checking on us. There is a lot of parking available and there’s an outside seating as well and they will bring the food out for you and they will come check on you multiple times to make sure you’re doing good. what can you ask in a busy Neighbourhood a good place to eat with a great service these guys have a marvelous job in customer service inside it’s pretty decent but I would prefer outside. Ambience is pretty neat. They made this place look pretty neat about how a chicken burger or chicken sandwich shop should be.

Hattie B’s Hot Chicken offers a fantastic experience for fried chicken lovers, serving up juicy, flavorful chicken with a perfect amount of spice and crispiness. The chicken is known for its tender and moist inside, crunchy and well-seasoned crust, and generous portions—making it a must-visit for fans of Nashville-style hot chicken. The crinkle-cut fries are classic, and the honey mustard dipping sauce along with the pickles add a great balance to the meal. Friendly staff, quick service, and a clean, casual setting make the dining experience even better. Highly recommended for anyone craving spicy, juicy hot chicken and great comfort food sides.

Just landed at the airport and decided to try this. It was one of the best hot chicken I’ve had in a while. It was crunchy, delicious, spicy but not numbing. The sweet tea and the lemonade also tasted different, but good! Not overly sweet or sour. Parking is in the back side and outdoor seating was nice. Overall, great experience!

Have been there twice within a couple weeks, which means how good the food and service is. I must admit that we have experienced one of the best services across many restaurants around this country. The food has always been great from our experience and if are game for super hot chicken, you would love this place. We will be back again though it is almost an hour drive for us.

I've been to Hattie B.'s before, specifically this location when it first opened. I haven't gone in a while, but I noticed a few changes to the menu. However. I was pretty excited about this visit. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. When I arrived, it wasn't too busy but there was a steady crowd. Melo and Shemika greeted me when I walked in. Melo was super helpful and patient, highlighting some of his favorites and explaining my options. I chose the chicken sandwich with a medium spicy flavor and baked beans, plus a peach cobbler on the side. My meal also came with a drink cup too. Shemika ensured I had everything I needed. While I waited for my food, I found an open table and sat down. My order was ready pretty quick and everything was fresh. I decided to take my food to go and had it at home. The chicken sandwich was definitely my favorite--the medium spice gave it a little kick, so if you don't like spicy stuff, this might be a bit much. The baked beans weren't my favorite--they could've been a little sweeter. But the peach cobbler was a standout. Overall, my experience was five stars thanks to the great customer service. I'll definitely be coming back.

Absolutely loved it here, went once in Nashville and once I found out there was a Atlanta location I had to come ASAP. The chicken is was so well seasoned and so juicy, my personal favorite side was the pimento mac and cheese. Really recommend this place to anyone. Not only is the food amazing but the service is aswell, Shemika provided us outstanding service making sure all our needs were met. Highly recommend anyone interested to stop by!

Go here! I was nervous it wouldn’t live up to the hype of the Nashville original but it DOES. I was greeted with exceptional service from Patrick at the register. Patrick was quite stylish, pleasant and immensely kind. I ordered the 3 medium grilled chicken strip meal with the black eye peas salad, and substituted one grilled tender for one fried tender. It was all so fresh and delicious. So moist and flavorful. My chicken tenders came on a lovely slice of white bread that took the edge off the heat. Medium was enough spice without the burn. The black eye peas salad was delicious as well. I was skeptical since it was a cold side but that didn’t minimize the flavor at all. I WILL be back. This place is a winner for sure when you want some simply great chicken

Delilahs Everyday Soul is a popular spot in Dunwoody and at Chattahoochee Food Works on Atlantas West Side, known for its delicious soul food. The menu features fried chicken, chicken & waffles, various chicken sandwiches served on a brioche roll, and tasty sides. Their mac and cheese recipe was even recognized as the nation's best by the Oprah Winfrey Show!
Brenton has a wonderful customer service . He’s so friendly & has an infectious personality. The food was good,( overpriced )but good. Collards were juicy. Cornbread perfect consistency. Chicken fried how I like it! Yams were a little cold. But overall 4/5 stars!
Kay S — Google review
My true rating is 3.5 out 5. Customer service was excellent. There was a slight wait as the fried chicken was freshly cooked. The fried chicken was so good! Not many places can cook fried chicken so that the skin is crispy but the meat is still moist and not dry and it was hot. To me, the collard greens were very good even though were cooked without anything added. Unfortunately, that is where the good news ends. Nowadays, you just can’t find anyone to make a complete order of soul food where everything is delicious. The mac and cheese was barely lukewarm and to add salt to the wound, the cornbread was cold and slightly dry. These two things were very disappointing, especially for the price that I paid. If I decide to return, I will mention this to them prior to me ordering, and I suggest that you do the same.

Traveling from Massachusetts and came across this restaurant. Cook was super nice and helpful. Cashier was away and cook stepped up to take out order. Food was made fresh and very tasty. Chicken was greasy and Mac and cheese was cold but both very tasty and flavorful.
Jaquain R — Google review
I went against the reviews: The fried chicken was spot on and crispy and the cornbread sweet and fresh. However the collard greens were extremely over seasoned and the Mac and cheese is not southern, it’s more of a Cajun…. I am unsure how to describe it. I like the atmosphere and location. The staff were friendly.

So this was my first time visiting this restaurant. 3 years ago I went to the food hall with my friend Angela she got food from The Chicago hot dog place and I got food from The Philly cheese steak place that is diagonally across from this place. It was packed then with patrons at the table. The food is good and delicious! The fried chicken is crispy and crunchy. The greens are good the cornbread is delicious also. The Mac and cheese is the star of the plate also. Oprah Winfrey tasted the Mac and cheese in a contest I believe and told them that they need a restaurant and the rest is history. You can tell that the Mac and cheese is made with cheese, butter, milk and eggs like my mom does hers.I visited on 7/13/2025.

Dined in at the food court location by the ipic movie theater yesterday after my movie and left with a headache and upset stomach for the rest of the evening. From my research I now see that I spoke with the owner directly which makes my experience even worse. The food was DISGUSTING, the worst Mac n cheese I've had. Overcooked noodles, mushy but dry as hell, falling apart (they need to take "the best in the world" off that menu because just to lie is insane. My fried chicken taste like burnt grease, literally no flavor but burnt, I tried to mask it with hot sauce but it didn't help, I spit it out and went to talk to someone that told me there's nothing they can do.. I said come look at this, it's just nasty and my friend fish falling apart from the batter. You could tell a half frozen piece of fish was cooked then served to her and it was dry and nasty with no taste too. I said smell it and you literally smell the burtness on the food the owner says ma'am I'm not smelling that and walks off, didnt offer a refund, a sorry, can we recook it or nothing. Didn't even try to act like she cared that we were dissatisfied. These businesses are going down hill and I will be dogging this place every chance I get. No one should dine here, the food is just as nasty as the owner. Also I don't need a fake response asking for my email to rectify anything, I was shown in person that yall don't give a crap. Barely wanted to hear what I had to say. You got it, I won't be back unless I decide to come record a review next time to show my over 15,000 followers why they shouldn't entertain this nonsense either.

Delilah’s at Politan Row – Where the Salt Shakes Back 😒🍔💸 So I pulled up to Delilah’s inside the Politan Row food court, genuinely hyped to see they had a turkey burger on the menu. I was like, “Okayyy, let’s be a little healthy but still satisfied.” And then boom $20 for the burger and $5 for Cajun fries. Off rip, I’m already squintin’ at the price tag like it better come with a side of blessings. 🙄 The Cajun fries were actually good crispy, seasoned but let’s be real, they weren’t doing anything revolutionary for no damn $5. I’ve had better fries for less, but I gave credit where it was due. Now let’s get to the real villain of the story the turkey burger. Bruh... I took ONE bite and felt like I had licked a salt block straight off the side of a mountain. 🧂 My fiancé took one bite too we both spit it out like we were in sync. Not even water could save us. We literally threw the entire $20 burger away. And the gag is if I had eaten that mess inside the food court instead of taking it to go, I would’ve marched back up to that counter and demanded a refund with pride and full volume. 😤 Delilah’s, y’all gotta do better. Ain’t nobody paying steakhouse prices for a burger that tastes like it was seasoned by Poseidon himself.

How Crispy Express, previously a pop-up in Summerhill, has now found its permanent home on Georgia Avenue. The restaurant is backed by Greg Best and Bart Sasso of Ticonderoga Club, with Chef William Silbernagel and architect Luke Wilkinson on board. The menu features just five sandwiches, including a vegetarian option with a crispy chickpea patty and nods to Atlanta flavors like lemon pepper wet and tikka seasoning.
I tried Honey Boi and Yuka fries. They were seriously delicious. It is my hobby to try chicken sandwich in southern cities of US and this place is one of the top 3 in my rank. And not to mention friendly service at the counter !

The guy was friendly and the food was great. Lemon pepper wet or however sandwich was awesome. The classic was pretty good, too. Fries had a Cajun or whatever seasoning and were pretty killer.

I came in for something to tie me over until my flight. I ordered the mac and cheese and kale salad. For a $5 salad I expected something large than a 4oz cup. And sadly, I didn’t find either item to be worth recommending. Both were bland. They have indoor and outdoor seating with nearby street parking and public lots.
Lisa — Google review
The food here is amazing, but unfortunately my partner and I ordered takeout from here and after getting into my leftovers this morning I noticed that my honey boi chicken sandwich was VERY raw. I really hope I don't get sick, as I already ate a lot of it before noticing. If you eat here be mindful of if your food is raw. To the restaurant I'd recommend making sure your staff are trained to avoid this health hazard in the future. The food is so good and the people are lovely but unfortunately I don't think I'll be eating here from now on.

Ok so hear me out. We are in the area monthly for appointments. The kids wanted a bite to eat so we just stop in to check out the menu. I immediately say no thank you, because it’s chicken sandwiches… So the kids order and we head to the car. They immediately start opening their food once we are inside and the food smells amazing. I see the biscuits and realize it’s all made from scratch. I request to taste a piece and my mind is blown. With instant regret that I didn’t order my own I run back into the restaurant. This is not just your regular, smegular chicken biscuit and I’m sure the same could be said about anything else on the menu. It was fresh, hot, and flavorful. I got to meet both owners who were very kind and welcoming. The spot is cute, clean, and colorful. We’ll be back next month, this time I plan to have the chicken sandwich and yucca fries. I’ll report back. :) Oh, the little had a cookie, they’re huge without being too much (like huge cookies can sometimes be) and really yummy. She approves.

Wisteria is a charming Southern eatery located in Atlanta's historic Inman Park, offering a blend of neighborhood bistro ambiance and fine dining experience. The restaurant is housed in a historic building with cozy elements like dark woods and exposed brick. It specializes in new American cuisine with a Southern twist, featuring an extensive gluten-free menu with various entrees, appetizers, salads, and sides made from seasonal ingredients.
Wisteria in Atlanta is a fantastic spot for a delicious meal. The food was perfectly done, from the oysters to the sea bass and scallops. Everything was cooked just right and the flavors were fantastic. The portions were a nice size—satisfying without being overwhelming. Beyond the food, they have a lovely selection of wines, cocktails, and even mocktails. The service was also excellent; our waiter was friendly and the timing of each course was perfect. We had hoped to sit on the patio, but the weather moved us inside. While it was a little loud indoors, the atmosphere was still cozy and enjoyable. Overall, Wisteria offers great food, drinks, and service. It's a place I'd definitely recommend.

The Brussel sprout appetizer is AMAZING !!!! We got it with bacon. That aoili sauce is incredible! For dinner entrees, this place is a bit hard for me do to my various food allergies (dairy, gluten, beans). Most of the dishes I can’t eat or can’t be modified to remove the ingredients I can’t eat, so that’s a bummer. They do have a Gluten free menu (it’s mostly a subset of the same items as regular menu), but because I’m also dairy free, most items are eliminated. I was able to eat the modified GF trout dish, with sides of asparagus and mushrooms. My husband, however, has eaten here a number of times, and he’s always been pleased with the quality of the food. I’d rate it higher if they could accommodate more dairy free options. It is southern food, so most dishes do use milk (ex their chicken is marinated in milk).
Shannon E — Google review
I have really mixed feelings about this spot. Parking is valet, but you can pay via online tools & it’s simple. The atmosphere is nice, but tables are quite close together/packed in. Service was fantastic. Wine and cocktails/mocktails list is solid. The food is not bad, but also doesn’t excite me. My pork dish had so many ingredients, and I simply prefer simpler dishes. The corn fritters are not like a bread option, and I sort of wanted bread. I think southern food & I want simple dishes, and these are just a bit complex. That’s fully just a personal taste preference, though!
Jess O — Google review
We decided to try Wisteria based on positive reviews and their vegetarian options. While the restaurant does cater to those avoiding meat, the preparations weren't always to our taste. The Southern influence is strong – be prepared for lots of fried dishes, even on vegetables like the broccoli (which sadly, was overdone). The fried tomato appetizer was passable, but the entrees were better overall. Drinks and service were fine, and we appreciated the surprise birthday cake for my wife, which was a thoughtful touch.

I dined here with my girlfriend for a girls night out, and we had the best time and enjoyed delicious food! Our waiter was incredibly nice and very attentive. He made some great recommendations for dinner and appetizers. We had the fritters, friend green tomatoes, and I had the shrimp and grits. The cocktails were also very delicious! The restaurant space is also very cozy and homey and not too loud.

Food was absolutely delicious. The environment was cute and felt very warm. We got the crab cake, beet salad and duck dumplings for appetizer and lamb and shrimp and grits for main course. We also tried three desserts which were phenomenal. The only reason it wasn’t a perfect experience is that it was too loud and the guests next to us were talking so loud it seemed like they were yelling. It’s a must visit though, and hopefully we won’t have to deal with that kind of thing again.

They were seasoned well except they tasted like they were marinated in the spice anise and it overpowered the flavor. They paired the scallops with a lemon burre blanc, which was good but they had a corn relish with white bean that just didn't paint well with the flavor of the scallops. I'm a foodie and this really killed my appetite. I didn't enjoy them as much as I thought I would. I couldnt get past the anise flavor or whatever spice was in the scallop and the white bean texture. My husband got the lamb Shank which was cooked to perfection over smashed potatoes. Molly was our server, she was awesome. Very friendly staff and the service was great.

Southern restaurant (US)
South City Kitchen Buckhead is an upscale restaurant located on Peachtree Street in Atlanta, GA. It offers a sophisticated take on Southern cuisine with a constantly evolving menu that includes seasonal and regionally-inspired dishes. The lush outdoor dining space provides a beautiful setting to enjoy popular brunch options and nightly dinner. Some must-try dishes include the fried green tomatoes, she-crab soup, and fried chicken with collard greens. The restaurant also caters to group dining events and offers valet parking for guests.
Quickly becoming my favorite brunch spot in the city. I’ve stopped by multiple times whenever I’m in the city and I’ve never had a bad experience except that one time when they didn’t have the ingredients for what I wanted, but otherwise 10/10 experience. I’ve been seated upstairs and in their private rooms as well, and enjoyed myself each time. The dining area upstairs is a bit congested tho. The grits has got to be my favorite. It can get very busy so definitely make reservations. They have valet as well, but it can be tricky to locate depending on where you’re coming from.

The food here was delicious, and what really stood out to us was the atmosphere. The wait time was reasonable, and since we weren’t in a rush and went on a weekend, it worked out nicely. We also enjoyed spending some time in the lounge before sitting at the bar. The bar itself was impressive and offered good service. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back
Isabella M — Google review
Our server was very well versed in the history and techniques of the food we ordered. The food was good, but just decent by traditional southern standard. If you enjoy a clean eat, this fare is just for you. I had the coconut rice and the mac & cheese. The best part of the rice dish was the deep fried crispy black eyed peas. I never in my life encountered such a flavor in a bean. Our server asked the chef to come to our table so we could discuss how the peas were prepared. Phenomenal. The mac & chese was rich and well baked. My wife got the Pork Chops with corn succatash and asparagus. She was not thrilled with the succatash but like the rest of her meal.

Food was ok, we had appetizers…the biscuits and cornbread were good. The fried tomatoes were great, the chicken bites were ok. The banana pudding was the worse I’ve had… The service was good. I would go back to try the chicken & waffles before I would say, I wouldn’t go back. The restaurant was very busy, so there is something good about this restaurant.

I was visiting from out of town. Nice vibe. Great drinks. The food was horrible. Mashed potatoes were runny and tasted like pure margarine. Undercooked chicken. Sitting at the bar, I let the bartender know my food was undercooked. She tried to say it was the bone. No ma'am, this meat had blood running through it. Very disappointing for an ATL soul food restaurant.

This was my first time at South City Kitchen after hearing superb reviews for YEARS! My first visit did not disappoint and the friend green tomatoes and Salmon may have been two of my favorite meals in Atlanta, thus far! If you’re ever in the Buckhead area, you should definitely stop by!

Nola BBQ shrimp are amazing! Peach shortcake was the perfect end to the meal. Bartender makes a mean old fashioned!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Outstanding – Beyond Five Stars! From the moment we walked through the doors of South City Kitchen, it was clear we were in for something special. This wasn’t just dinner — it was an experience. ✨ A Host with True Hospitality Shadi at the host stand set the tone for the entire evening. Warm, gracious, and genuinely attentive, Shadi went above and beyond from the very first hello. It felt like we were being welcomed into a friend’s home rather than a restaurant. Every detail was handled with care and thoughtfulness, and that kind of hospitality makes all the difference. 🍷 Service That Defines Excellence Upstairs, our server Jay elevated our very important team-building dinner into an unforgettable evening. Her balance of professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness was nothing short of remarkable. She anticipated needs before we even voiced them, kept the energy at the table flowing with ease, and somehow made each person feel personally taken care of. Team dinners can be tricky — but Jay turned ours into a seamless, joyful celebration. 🥘 Food & Atmosphere Of course, the food was spectacular — soulful, flavorful Southern cuisine prepared with modern finesse and heart. The atmosphere carried the perfect blend of elegance and comfort, making it ideal for both business and pleasure. 🌟 The Verdict South City Kitchen didn’t just provide a meal, it created a memory. Thanks to Shadi and Jay, our dinner became one of those rare evenings that everyone will be talking about for a long time. If you’re looking for impeccable service, extraordinary food, and genuine Southern hospitality, look no further. South City Kitchen is not just a restaurant — it’s the gold standard.

Restaurant
Roc South Cuisine is a Black-owned restaurant in Atlanta that offers a modern twist on traditional Southern dishes. The menu features classic soul food items like fried chicken, seafood gumbo, fried fish, candied yams, collard greens, and black-eyed peas at reasonable prices. The restaurant is co-signed by Lou Williams of the Atlanta Hawks and offers luxurious options such as fried lobster tail, lamb chop entree, and whole fried snapper.
Five of my friends and I were in Atlanta visiting for a birthday celebration weekend. We went to Roc South for brunch on Sunday, October 5, 2025 (we had a reservation for 6 for 11 AM). I got the catfish with grits and my friends got various meals in which they raved about. I was also able to taste the short ribs with grits and the mac and cheese… everything I tasted was yummm! Our server Ajeemah was excellent. She was welcoming, knowledgeable, and had wonderful energy ✨ I would most definitely go back if ever visiting ATL again.

Roc South is worth the try! Me and my bf decided to dine in & it was our first time coming to this restaurant. I ordered the Blackened Salmon Linguine pasta— it was good though I would have preferred more flavor in the pasta sauce, I also noticed my pasta had fresh tomatoes versus sun dried tomatoes like the menu described—the salmon was cooked to perfection. My bf ordered the Southern Fried Chicken Plate with collard greens, macaroni, and yams. He enjoyed his food, but his macaroni wasn’t as hot as he was expecting. We shared an order of the honey cornbread which were good, the honey butter could’ve been melted more and hotter but overall the experience was good!
Gigi L — Google review
Came here on a chill night, during the week, and met up with a friend. Friendly staff and the bartender had great recommendations for drinks. For food, we ordered the seafood egg rolls (good), the lamb chops (a little fatty), and catfish (delicious). The vibes and ambiance were great.
Edwina S — Google review
Everyone including me ordered the catfish for lunch and it was worth it! Great portions and loved the grits too. I also liked the salmon bites but the catfish was better. The peach lemonade had actual peaches inside. I arrived right when they opened on a weekday so there was not a wait.
Kaylin M — Google review
I’ve been here now 5 times so that’s says a lot already and I don’t live in Atlanta. My favorite would have to be the seafood eggrolls and the man of the hour drink. The gumbo is good, the Mac and cheese was good, the lamb chops was good, salmon

I heard great things about this place but unfortunately I ordered the honey lemon pepper wings and they were old wings. They were not cooked to order. They were so hard. This was a takeout order. If I wasn't working, I would have went right back to the restaurant. I also ordered the brussel spouts. They were good and hot but lack flavor. So I added my own when I got home. I will give them another try.

We are in town for a girls trip and found this place on TikTok on my FYP page. We decided to go check it out. We arrived around 11:30am on a Sunday. It was not too busy at all. Plenty of parking and they do offer free valet parking as well. The dress is casual and relaxing. The ambiance was very beautiful, relaxing laid back music, playing and the staff was awesome. As for the food it was well worth it. I spend around $35 for my meal, and it was well worth it.The plate came out, beautiful presented and clean plus it tasted very seasoned. It's hard to get mac & cheese at a restaurant and it's good. This place right here is top tier macaroni & cheese. I would recommend anyone go check them out. They did have a steady flow of customers. Please keep that in mind to arrive a little earlier. Oh, they also have mimosas as we as a bar.

Took some friends when they were visiting Atlanta and wanted soul food. Shandra assisted me over the and was really nice. We came on a Friday right when they opened to avoid the rush. All of our food was delicious. We tried fried chicken, shrimp, yams, macaroni and collards. I'll definitely be back.

Korean restaurant
Mukja Korean Fried Chicken is a trendy spot in Midtown offering a unique blend of Korean and Southern flavors. The menu features Korean-style chicken alongside loaded fries, spicy slaw, and kimchi mac & cheese. The restaurant aims to create a welcoming family atmosphere for its customers. In addition to their signature fried chicken, they also offer creative twists on Southern classics like chicken and waffles with Korean elements.
Sleek casual restaurant with lots of seating. It’s a pretty streamlined menu, with some solid options. We got the half bird, chicken sandwich, and Mukja bowl. I like that the Mukja bowl has a lot of veggies and rice to balance out the flavors from the pork. Service was very friendly, and the food came fast!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you're a fan of crispy, juicy, and flavorful fried chicken, Mukja Korean Fried Chicken is an absolute must-visit! From the moment you step in, the atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, setting the perfect tone for what’s to come. The star of the show, of course, is the chicken – and trust me, it does not disappoint. The crispy coating is perfection, with just the right balance of crunch and tenderness. The meat inside is incredibly juicy and tender, bursting with flavor in every bite. I tried the spicy garlic and sweet soy flavors, and both were nothing short of amazing – bold, savory, and packed with that signature Korean umami kick. The spice level is spot on, not too overwhelming but just enough to give you a delightful kick. What really sets Mukja apart is the attention to detail and quality. The chicken is made fresh to order, and you can really taste the difference. The sides, like the crispy fries and pickled radishes, complement the chicken perfectly, adding that extra touch of authenticity to the meal. The service is top-notch too! The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel right at home. You can tell they take great pride in what they do, and it shows in every aspect of the experience. Whether you're dining in or getting takeout, Mukja is a must-try for anyone craving the ultimate Korean fried chicken experience. I can’t wait to come back and try even more from their menu. Highly recommend!

Chicken sandwich was good, the slaw complemented the sandwich well, it added a sweet and light tang taste. Kimchi Mac & Cheese and the Cheese corn are both different but in a good way. Both tasted good. The Mukja bowl is full of flavor. Spicy and a hint of sweet
Dre — Google review
Main items are like $15-16 and sides are like $5-6. We got a mujka bowl, chicken in a bun and loaded fries. The fries were so so... The chicken sandwich isn't bad but doesn't compare to any Korean brand I had while in Korea. The meat in the bowl tastes like a bulgogi BBQ. It was pretty good. It satisfied our hunger but we didn't say "Wow let's come back"
Osciandra B — Google review
Ordered wings and got tenders. Zero spice in the batter like I would expect of KFC. Dry, cold, tough chicken. Decent fries though. Bummed that I didn't get what I ordered. I don't think I'll return based on the taste and quality.
Billy G — Google review
We passed by this spot yesterday. The chicken smelled amazing. Had to make a stop when they open today. The service is fast friendly and the staff was so sweet. The wings were fresh hot and so delicious!

When I crave some Korean fried chicken, I come here. Service is usually fast and most of the time, not packed at all. This time I ordered a half bird with mac & cheese, corn cheese, fries, and a can of Cass which is pretty good Korean beer. Everything tasted good and the fries were freshly cooked just like the half bird with the A-T-hell sauce.
Luke H — Google review
Fried chicken is good and I like that there are 6 sauces to choose from to get in the side. A bit pricey though for fried chicken even though it's good. Wing portions are real small! All the sides were fresh but nothing to really write home about. Would I come back? Maybe if I am craving for good fried chicken.

Fried chicken takeaway
Hop's Chicken is a food hall stall that specializes in Nashville-style fried chicken. The menu features individual pieces or on a biscuit or sandwich along with a handful of sides. The chicken is cooked spicy if you like it that way, and its definitely worth trying!
Possibly one of the best chicken sandwich out there. This was comparable or slightly better than Chick-Fil-A’s and Popeye’s. Deserving of the chef receiving the James Beard award. Don’t forget to use the provided sauce on the side.
Bill Y — Google review
Stopped here for a quick bite. The service was friendly enough and the food arrived quickly. The food is not made to order, so if that’s not your thing it’s something to note. The chicken nuggets were a great size and price. The chicken biscuit was good and had decent flavor. As for the black eye peas… sadly they are a pass for me. They lacked seasoning and flavor. The house made sauces were good. We had the honey mustard and bbq sauces.
Ricky H — Google review
Gave this place a chance as it looked like a pretty authentic chicken place. Didn't look at the reviews beforehand, but now I think I should have. I ordered the special chicken sandwich and the fried chicken livers. The chicken sandwich was not properly made. It was missing the coleslaw and the sauce. Fortunately, the fried chicken livers came with a separate container of sauce, which I added to the sandwich. Together, it was pretty tasty, but I should not have been the one to make my own sandwich. The fried chicken livers were tasty, but because I had to use a large portion of the sauce on my sandwich, there wasn't enough left for them. Overall, it speaks to some issues in the kitchen that the food wasn't properly put together. I made no requests or alterations, so everything should have been standard. Whoever is training the staff should make sure that food standards are being kept up for all items. If you order from here, make sure to double-check all items before leaving. It is not a place I could recommend, especially when it is surrounded by much better options in the market.

Atlanta = chicken friend You can’t go wrong with this one, the chicken was amazing, very tender and very well seasoned. The price is worth the food and I do recommend you accompany it with a Mac n cheese. It’s a great place to grab a snack (a good snack) and a great price.
Daniel R — Google review
My experience at Hop's Chicken was extremely disappointing. The food was dry, overly salty, and honestly just horrible. Ordering itself was fine, but the staff clearly had no idea how to put an order together. It took an absurd amount of time just to get some chickens—food that was already prepared—into a paper bag. I genuinely thought they were getting chickens from near by farm and butchering. That's how long it took. The staff seemed completely untrained and confused, and the price definitely didn’t match the quality or experience. Overall, it was a frustrating visit. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.
Jeff H — Google review
Does this look like $6 worth of tater tots? Hop’s seems to think so. The first time I visited Hops’s 2-3 months ago, my tator tots came in a small brown box (the normal brown box I’ve seen many other restaurants put their side fries/tots in). No complaints there. Today I visited Hop’s for the second time and was very surprised that my bag felt so light. I genuinely thought I picked up someone else’s bag. When the employee at the counter confirmed those were my tots, I opened the top and LOLd. 13 tots costs $6 in 2025??? That’s wild. The employee sympathized with my frustration, stating that after their manager saw how many tots were being put in the boxes, they were told to use the white containers moving forward. So…instead of directing employees to not overfill the boxes, customers now receive crumbs for $6? Mind you, the first time I bought the side of tots, the box closed perfectly fine. It was not overfilled. It was a normal side of tator tots that I felt justified in buying for $6. What I received today was so laughable. Of course I asked for a refund, but since the employee gave me an additional container, I accepted it and moved forward with my day. Y’all got me today!! But never again.

went there to eat lunch due to seeing lines of people but contemplated to eat due to ratings. could not say much about the staff but when i asked about size of the tender staff told they were large so i decided to get 3 pcs and when i opened up the box sizes were more like fingers (prob one normal tender split to 3 pcs) and when ordered the wings by single pieces, only one was a reasonable size and two were about the third... also when we tried to order the fried apple pie we were told they don't sell no more and the printed menu was outdated but you can see the fried apple pie right at center of the wall menu highly visible. now I believe the reason for ratings.

Asian fusion restaurant
Poor Calvin's, located in the heart of Downtown Atlanta, is a modern and intimate eatery that offers a unique fusion of Asian and Southern cuisine. Since its establishment in November 2012, this restaurant has been known for its creative and innovative menu, featuring dishes like lobster mac and cheese, curried duck, and crispy Brussels sprouts with an Asian twist. The combination of Asian flavors infused with Southern comfort food creates a delightful experience for diners looking to surprise their taste buds.
We first came to Poor Calvin’s about 4 years ago for date night and loved it so much that we always said we would come back. My husband surprised me by bringing me back here for my birthday this year, and it was just as amazing as we remembered. He ordered the Grass Fed Australian Lamb Chops and I had the Lobster Fried Rice. Both dishes were perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. For appetizers, we had the Fried Calamari and the Seafood Spring Rolls. The portions were generous, and we were so full from the starters that we only had a few bites of our entrées at the table and took the rest home. The service was excellent throughout the evening. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and when she found out I was celebrating my birthday, she surprised me with a cute little dessert and a candle. That personal touch made the night feel extra special. From the food to the service to the atmosphere, everything was top-notch. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a night out, Poor Calvin’s never disappoints. Highly recommend!

This was my third time here and surprise surprise, I enjoyed everything! It can be a little hectic sometimes, but this place is amazing. The crab beignets may have been my favorite from the small bites. We got the scallop and lobster drunken noodle and it was great, I wish the scallops were seasoned a little more or marinated to soak in some flavor. PHO cocktail may be my new favorite cocktail ever. Overall 10/10. Highly recommend and our server Ariel last night was so great! She broke down the flavor palette of the drinks and food so well. Come here ready to eat and with a desire to try new things, they do fusion right here!

Awesome Experience. My very first time trying them and I must say I was impressed. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and what to order based off what you had a taste for. The drinks were very good and packed a punch. The food was great and plentiful. I ordered the Drunken Scallops and Seafood and it was delicious. A tad Pricey but definitely worth the experience. Only negative is the seating on the inside is small and tight especially if you want more of an intimate setting

If you have high expectations of this restaurant then your expectations will definitely be met. We walked in for our 7pm reservations and were met with friendly staff and a grown and sexy vibe. The dimly lit establishment isn't too big or small, perfect for an intimate dinner. Our waiter, Gavin was amazing! He was very personable and professional. He was knowledgeable of the menu, giving us the spotlight entrees of the evening and taking our order, and even gave us great suggestions based on what we liked. The food?! Omg, you will be thoroughly pleased. Everything came out on time, hot, fresh, and a healthy amount. Everything has a unique flavor and was absolutely delicious. The drinks accommodated our meals perfect. Not too strong, but definitely strong enough to make a good night better. Lol. All In all definitely put this on your list.

Delicious meal! Definitely make a reservation because this placed gets booked and packed. Our reservation was at 8 and we weren’t seated until 8:45, but we stood at the bar and got a drink until they were ready for us. That’s a long delay, but it was fine. The drinks are amazing! I had the tom yum cocktail which is extremely flavorful and unique. The nirvana nectar was also really good and I love the slanted glassware, very cool! We started with the shrimp which was solid. My colleague had the lamb chomps and they were cooked perfectly and juicy. I ordered the pork belly and crab fried rice. What a presentation! And it was so good! Our waiter was amazing and gave us great recommendations. Other reviews say the tables are too close together; but it’s not as bad as other places I’ve been too. It’s perfectly fine and comfortable. Great spot to check out! Highly recommend.

I HIGHLY recommend this place! This was a highlight for my trip this month. This restaurant has everything figured out! The valet parking is free, the greeter is super excited to see you, the waiter gave a great recommendation to get the special. I had a surf and turf and a nice drink which were both amazing! The menu is so different which is also what makes this special so special along with the cuteness of the restaurant inside.
Patrice H — Google review
Poor Calvin’s delivered one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I started with the fried green tomatoes, perfectly crisp and full of flavor, the ideal way to kick off the meal. The Korean ribs were tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection, falling right off the bone. The collard greens had that comforting, home-cooked Southern flavor, and the lobster macaroni and cheese was decadent, creamy, and loaded with real chunks of lobster. The balance of flavors from the Asian influence to the Southern comfort was spot on. The service was attentive, the atmosphere was stylish yet relaxed, and every bite felt like a thoughtful experience. If you’re in Atlanta and looking for a restaurant that truly blends creativity with comfort food, Poor Calvin’s is an absolute must-try.

The General Muir is a contemporary upscale Jewish deli that brings a taste of New York to the South. Located in Toco Hills, it offers classic dishes like latkes, pastrami hash, and bagels with lox. The restaurant's name pays homage to the refugee transport ship that brought one of the co-owners' family to America after WWII.
The food was delicious, and the service was amazing--our server, Sosa, was an absolute sweetheart and took great care of us! We had the roast chicken, NY strip steak, and strawberry mascarpone cheese cake. All of it was great, and we also got some cookies and matzah ball soup to-go so we could try them later. By the end of the meal, we were already talking about coming back next week to try more things on the menu. Looking forward to it!

I've been wanting to try this restaurant forever because there is so much hype and they got Michelin recognition. My food was like a 3.5. The food came out quickly. I had the East Side Platter and the Nova and Gravalox were wonderfully not overly salted. I didn't really care for the Smoked Trout Spead and I've had several smoked fish spreads. The biggest issue was my bagels. They didn't taste fresh or amazing. I was expecting really great bagels from a Jewish Restaurant with a Michelin Recommendation. My service was woefully lacking and staffing was not understaffed. My server basically went missing and I had to ask another server for bill. Ambiance was top notch. I might return and try the Rye Bread and Reuben.

This is one of my favorite brunch spots in Atlanta. Sometimes service can be a little slow when they are busy, but that is to be expected since they are really popular. Their coffees are pretty good and I also get a cookie to pair with it. Their brunch entrees are all hits! I recommend the fish and potatoes, the general, and the smoked hash. Overall, a great brunch spot that we keep in the rotation.

Great brunch or lunch spot. Absolutely top bread and bagels. We usually get the bagels as a go-to. But got the mushroom and grits, which had an umami truffle taste to it without being overbearing. The coffee and cocktail drinks are also freshly made with their barista.

Great spot with amazing sandwiches, matzah ball soup, pastries, bagels, and really everything on the menu. Their Reuben is go-to with that delicious pastrami, sauerkraut, melted cheese, and fresh baked rye. The Pastrami & Egg is a close second though. Their everything bagels are so garlicky and delicious. The Chicken Club is another favorite, and you gotta grab a few Black and White cookies on your way out. Theirs are as good as it gets. Lovely coffees as well and of course, fantastic gravlax. The General Muir is always a great spot!

Unfortunately, I am disappointed by this place. The Reuben was greasy and tasted plainly of pickled veggies, and the Blackout Cake was minimally sweet. There was a big roach on the wall at our booth as well. They do give their leftover bread away at the end of the night for free, and the waitress was so nice. Some small pluses.

Sway, located in the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, offers a modern dining space with a Southern-influenced American menu. One of their standout dishes is the generously portioned fried chicken served in its own skillet after being brined for 24 hours. Despite some mixed reviews on certain menu items, many customers have enjoyed the flavorful collard greens, delectable mac and cheese, and tasty ribs with a peppery rub.
I ordered room service for breakfast. The omelet was huge and delicious. Reheated well, too. The bacon and fruit were excellent. I would not recommend ordering toast, as it gets too cold and they do not butter it before delivery. We also ate there a second time, in person, and Sara was a wonderful server.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The staff was incredibly attentive and accommodating — I mentioned my allergy to mushrooms, and they were more than happy to adjust the dish for me. They replaced the mushrooms in the pasta with vegetables, and it turned out absolutely delicious. Crab cake was so good! The service was top-notch, and everything we ordered was full of flavor. Highly recommend!

So we went here and elected to take our food to go because our server was just horrible. 50 minutes later we are still waiting. I was gifted a drink so hey but 50 min is a long time. The good news is the steak was AMAZING. Great job!! The bad news is the chicken was burnt. Like black on the bottom that they tried to hide. We elected to not say anything because we just wanted to go back to our room. It was almost 10pm by this point. The pecan pear salad looked amazing but wasn’t. The pears were not tasting right.

Unclear why this restaurant is only 3.9 stars. I thoroughly enjoyed it and probably ate too much. The collars greens were vinegary and delicious. The Mac and cheese was amazing. The ribs were tasty with a peppery rub. A little fatty and could have cooked a bit longer to help fall off the bone. Don't get me wrong, they weren't rare ribs, just not fall off the bone ribs. The server was so much fun and super sweet. She had all the customers around me in stitches! The desserts were fantastic! I had the German Chocolate, the coconut cake and some bread pudding. YUM!! I'll definitely be back here next time I'm staying at the Hyatt!!

First, dusting my stay the servers were outstanding. The food was really good specially the pizza, but then the next day was ok. My third day was great. Love the place even though it gets crowded, but the staff will go out of their way to get you in. My guess is depending on the crow, the quality might vary. It’s a great place and I would def recommend it.

While I seldom leave reviews, I felt compelled to share my experience due to the exceptional service at Sway. I enjoyed two meals during my hotel stay, and the food was quite good. What truly sets this restaurant apart is the outstanding hospitality and attitude of the staff, with Jose standing out as the best. He served my table during dinner, exceeding expectations. Jose was so attentive and did his best to accommodate everything I needed to fully enjoy my first dinner in Atlanta. Also the whole team from the entrance to the buffet station was so kind and professional. Is this southern hospitality? I am genuinely touched and thankful. I highly recommend this place!

Stayed at the Hyatt and ate at this restaurant one night. The service was exceptional and they even found me some coffee (even though they don't have it on the menu) and got me a to-go cup too! I ordered the friend chicken and it was delightfully crispy and juicy. It has a slightly sweet taste but was delicious. Their mashed potatoes and gravy was solid too. I will definitely go back.

Tex-Mex restaurant
Mexican restaurant
Restaurant
Superica is a stylish "Mex-Tex" restaurant with several locations in Atlanta, offering reinvented Texas favorites like puffy tacos and fajitas. The northern Buckhead neighborhood location serves weekend brunch featuring a mouthwatering south-of-the-border-style menu with items such as huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, and chorizo breakfast burrito. You can complement your meal with refreshing aguas frescas or opt for fiery micheladas and tequila-infused Bloody Marias.
If I could give more than five stars, I would. Superica in the Krog District is nothing short of phenomenal. The food? Absolutely amazing. Delicious doesn’t even begin to cover it — think mind-blowing, flavor-packed, can’t-stop-talking-about-it kind of good. Every bite was bursting with layers of taste that made me question why I don’t eat here every single day. And then there’s Taylor — our waitress, our hero of the evening. Friendly, warm, and genuinely invested in making sure our experience was perfect. She didn’t just bring us food; she brought us joy. Her timing was spot-on, her recommendations were flawless, and she made us feel like VIPs from the moment we sat down. Taylor didn’t just add to the night — she made the night. Superica + Taylor = an unforgettable dining experience. If you’re anywhere near Atlanta, put this place at the top of your list. And when you go, ask for Taylor. Trust me.

I gave this restaurant four stars relative to its price point. The service is friendly and efficient. There's outdoor and indoor seating. The food is pretty good but I wouldn't say authentic Mexican. Definitely better than a typical Mexican place. Couldn't give five stars on service because our reservations were not handled properly and we ended up waiting about 30 minutes.

I can't eat Mexican food anywhere else after eating here. Dipping my steak in the frothy Mexican butter tap danced all over my taste buds. The green salsa for the tortilla chips is by far the best I've ever tasted. Overall everything was 10 out of 10. Shout out to our waiter " Robbie" dude explains the flavors of the food and what pairs together well.

Nice quiet area, restaurants super clean. Dog friendly.. We ordered a small fajita for $23 definitely not worth the price. And I also got 3 shrimp tacos for $24 wasn’t worth the price either. The queso was good, very fresh and homemade 2 people bill was $75 the rice was the best thing to me. My shrimp tacos were good after I dressed them. Overall 6/10

We sat at the bar & Ayona was our bar tender and she was very attentive🤩...( I know I spelled her name wrong😩). Her menu suggestions were spot on and she makes a mean Ole Fasion😁😍😍. One of the bartenders overheard me say that the sauce wasn't hot enough and they intern relayed this info to the chef who then proceeded to make me not 1 but 2 different sauces that I did NOT request and Boy oh boy did he give me some of the hottest & most delicious 😋 sauce that my palate has ever encountered & to say it was amazing would be an understatement 😉 😜 so a Big thanks to Chef Kenny for going above and beyond to satisfy this customer. I will definitely be back if not for the food definitely for the Amazing customer service my husband and I received 🤗

If you want to have some amazing Mexican food then look no further. Good quality and a lot of to choose from. We had a margarita and some various nachos with a lot of different sauces as starter. I had shrimp tacos and they were delicious.

Really great food and atmosphere at Superica on Krog Street. The guac and queso were excellent, great margaritas and Cheladas, and the fajitas and tacos were excellent. I highly recommend the Pork Belly Carnitas fajitas. The BBQ style sauce that was served with it was excellent.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the BEST experience at Superica thanks to our amazing waiter, Robbie! He went above and beyond to make my boyfriend’s birthday dinner extra special. From start to finish, his energy, attention to detail, and genuine kindness made the evening unforgettable. Every recommendation was spot on, and he made sure everything came out perfectly. Robbie truly made the night feel personal and fun — you can tell he loves what he does! Thank you, Robbie, for making our celebration so memorable! Bagel shop
Goldbergs Fine Foods - Toco Hills is a casual deli that offers a variety of Jewish delicacies such as matzo-ball soup, Reubens, lox, and housemade bagels. With 9 locations across the metro-Atlanta area, including two at the airport and one at The Battery that stays open until 9 PM, this eatery has gained popularity not only for its wide geographic coverage but also for its delicious food.
This place is an Unsung Hero. That everything bagel was the closest to perfection that I’ve had among bagels, and I walked in not even realizing what was coming my way. While the bagel was still dense (like a normal bagel should be), it was perfectly chewable and - for the first time while I’ve eaten a bagel - didn’t hurt my jaw! Outstanding bread, though the fillings left a lot to be desired. Scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly, but the whole sandwich needed S&P and ketchup - in addition to the hummus I’d ordered - to evoke some flavor. Good portions for the prices as well. Service was incredibly friendly and so understanding of dietary restrictions! Would absolutely return, even just to get the bagel by itself.

Food was very delicious! We got the fried chicken Reuben with a potato salad side and the Famous Po' Boy sandwich with fries. Both dishes were great and were enough for more than 1 portion. Great for a price point of about $13-14 each. The service was mediocre. The ambience was also just alright. There was a big bright white fluorescent light shining right above our heads. It was a fast food/deli vibe. Sound levels were good, you could have a conversation easily and there was nice music.

Today was my first time having Goldbergs. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Parking wasn't easy to find with it being lunch time but,The prices are reasonable, the food and service are great! I ordered the NY style Ruben with Onion rings. Jojo was my cashier she was personable and helpful. Each servicer was great. I am looking forward to my next visit !

This was my 1st trip to GA, and my 1st visit to Goldbergs. Our server Quashaun was fabulous!! There were 8 of us for brunch, plus his other tables, and he was on point. Our dishes were delicious i had an omelet and of course a bagel 🥯. A NYer in a bagel shop, not in NY - I was not disappointed. They have an extensive variety of bagels to choose from and an ample selection of pastries, as well. If you find yourself in any of the many locations, I'm sure you too will be pleased. & If you're in Toco Hills, ask to sit in Quashaun section- tell him NY said hello.

Friendly cafe for breakfast or lunch. Great bagels, eggs, nova, and omelets. Fast service and good qualities. I got the two eggs with nova and it comes with a bagel and latkes too! They have places to sit and be waited on as well as counter services with a seating area. Highly recommend!

It's not worth it. Had the Brooklyn Reuben. It was not as shown in the picture on the menu. Nothing special, could have made a better one at home. One half had almost no meat-to-sauerkraut. No part of the sandwich stood out taste wise. The fries seemed frozen, not house made. The people at the counter were friendly.

I really do love me some Goldbergs, and I will update this rating from one star, but I hope it gets your attention. If you didn't know any better, you would think that these 4 bagles were from 4 different delis. They greatly varied in size as you can see, and went from small and almost rock hard like it was 2 days old, to large, soft and fresh. I have also noticed in the past that the bread they use for the po-boy is completely different from the other locations. I remember scrounging for change to buy a po-boy when it was only $2.95, so been a loyal customer for decades. Hope you can improve on this consistency issue 🙏

The beyond burger was awesome " on steroids" today! Cooked to perfection! And I enjoyed the greetings and hospitality from Rick, the General Manager, Jackie, Server, and Trevor, Server. I always receive 5-star guest service from all three of them! Moreover, they are gifted in connecting with me and make me feel like a valued guest, as well as,(beyond that), a valued person. They greatly contribute to a most friendly, family-like atmosphere. They are not only awesome team leaders, but, awesome individuals!!

Ms. Iceys Kitchen & Bar is a vibrant establishment that offers a fusion of Caribbean cuisine and Soulfood, creating a joyful adventure for your taste buds. The restaurant provides classic American Southern food and brunch in modern, industrial interiors with a lively bar area. Named after the owner's grandmother, Ms.
I have to say before I went, I already knew what I wanted to try because I checked out the menu days before. There are really good options to choose from. FIRST OFF, the appetizers were so good. The Mac and cheese, the cornbread and Brussels sprouts were all good. We left no crumbs. My friend got the oxtails and he loved them. I got the "THEE SALAD" topped with shrimp and it was delicious. My other friend got the plantains and Cesar salad and she said it was good. And the drinks were really good. I got the coconut rum punch and my friends got the coconut mojito! To top everything off, our server was great! She had great suggestions and checked on us several times after we received our food!!! I will be going back soon!

Ms. Iceys Kitchen & Bar offers a casual dining experience with a Southern-Caribbean fusion menu. I tried the jerk chicken with rice and peas - the portion was generous and filling. While the food was tasty, it wasn't particularly memorable. The interior has a modern industrial feel, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Overall, a decent option for a casual meal.

I had a good time here. I came during brunch. I've never been before, so I didn't know what I was feeling. I got the shrimp and grits. It was good. The grits are creamy, so that's up to preference. The music is on point! Loved that! And they got hookah, which is a nice touch. I think more of an evening vibe would be better. It was a rainy day and the workers were laid back could have been more attentive. But over all an good brunch experience.

Met one of my friends here for drinks last night and from the moment we arrived, the hospitality and the customer service was top-tier!!! Cliff was our server and he was so patient with us (we spent so much time talking, he had to keep coming back asking if we were ready to order lol) He was so nice and fun and personable!!! The food was amazing. I had the jerk, chicken, cabbage, and macaroni. And Cliff went out of his way to make sure everything was fresh and up to par! Everything still came out pretty fast! We really enjoyed ourselves and we will definitely be back for brunch!!

Went back to this spot during the day and had a great experience! We were immediately greeted, given the option of where we would like to sit and welcomed by our waitress who was very pleasant! Drinks: We ordered house Margaritas…they were ok…put it this way, wouldn’t order them again and not for $10 each. Oh and they break the price down on your receipt(Liquor $8, Margarita Mix $2) Food: This is the reason we would come back. Fish and grits…great. Shrimp and grits were good too. Nicely seasoned and sauce was not as thick as I would prefer but still good! Fish and grits was much better in my opinion. Please order the plantain waffle!!! You will thank me later. Overall good spot, great music and great service. 20% gratuity added to all orders and breakdown of drinks on receipt was a little confusing would definitely return.

We arrived to the location around 3pm it was empty as we were the only seated customers besides what look like a take out or delivery. Host(or in the booth in the front) a male. Was on his cell phone and back towards us. Ignored us, like it was someone else job to seat us. After a 1 min, I asked can we seat ourselves, which he then turns around and said yes. The atmosphere and environment it self was cool and we were table of 2. Someone put the stickers for the menu on an axis. You have to turn it straight for the menu to read to bring us to the website. The waitress was ok, checked on us frequently after the food came. But Prior We asked for water & lemon. She bought the lemon in one glass this was the worst lemon slices I have ever seen. We had to then use a hands & fork to peel the lemon off the skewer to share. She seemed annoyed when I asked for ice and declined her 3rd inquiry for drinks. The food came out very quickly, see pictures, we ordered steak medium came well done which most restaurants get wrong. Fries weren’t good, strip clubs wings are def not, we didn’t like the taste at all, the waitress said it was popular here. Jerk chicken was a little salty, it was spicy in a good way and cooked well. Mac n cheese had no flavor, I expected better from a Caribbean restaurant. Corn bread was good just a little hard. Trying to cut into it was crispy but soft in the middle, maybe that’s by design. Honestly cornbread was the best tasting item. Maybe this was an off day in the middle of the week. Of course the bill came with automatic gratuity for a party 2. I know that’s the new thing but it’s off putting. Along with inconsistent dining experience, with a $100 tab, with $20 going to gratuity. Place is visually appealing

I recently had brunch at Ms. Iceys and it was amazing!!!! The drinks, the staff, and the FOOD! chef’s kiss My friend and I went around 11:30am on a Saturday. They just opened up so it was mostly empty at that time. The hostess greeted us and confirmed our reservations.. we were seated and serviced immediately. Our waitress checked on us consistently and made sure we were good. Whatever you do please be sure to get the Blueberry Cornbread.. thank me later!

I don’t throw out 5/5/5 like that but this Caribbean Spot is the spot. As soon as you walk in the atmosphere the very welcoming and inviting, the music is laid back good vibes Caribbean music. The service was very quick they don’t have paper menu that I can see it’s all digital. I ordered the jerk chicken peas n plantains and everything was amazing. Jerk chick had a nice kick and very flavorful as well as great size portion, rice and peas was just like my Haitian 🇭🇹 mums would make it, and plantains wasn’t over cook or over ripe. Only small but very small discrepancy; plantains and rice wasn’t enough for $5 each 😅😅😅😅. Would recommend to any one

We came here for a Vegan Sandwich, because they advertised it and it looked good, but the staffs found out that sandwich buns had eggs and milk in it :( So vegan friends, please be aware. They have rice and salad choices. The staffs were very nice helpful and made sure everything we would eat was vegan. Vegan Patty was original and good, salad was very fresh and I was pleased, but the taste was a bit overpowering to me, you might want to ask them to put sauce aside if you like simple taste.

During a recent visit to the Atlanta area, our Airbnb hosts recommended Cupanion's Kitchen + Coffee as a place to try. I am pleased to report that our breakfast there more than justified their recommendation! My wife had the vegan root vegetable hash while I had their breakfast burrito with pimento cheese grits. All our food was delicious. My burrito (served panini style with a delicious avocado sauce on the side) was among the tastiest I've ever had. Their coffee was excellent, and the service was fast and friendly. They also have a nice outdoor eating area. Wish we lived closer so that we could visit more often.

I have never been to a coffee shop/cafe with so many rules. 17$ for two coffees and we were treated like we were entering some exclusive club instead of a run of the mill cafe. We weren’t allowed to sit down before ordering our drinks—they treated us like children and I watched who I’m assuming to be the manager smirk at us while looming behind the cashier (who was very sweet and I’m sorry they have to enforce these asinine rules, I can only imagine how toxic this workplace is) AND!!! The 17$ coffees are so incredibly mid—the barista over pulled the espresso shot so they’re both super acidic. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! Go anywhere else where you will be treated like a valued customer. Charging 17$ for two drinks and not even filling up the cup all the way or serving them in glass wear is diabolical. Update: the kitchen staff need to chill smashing that bell it’s incredibly annoying. Run the food yourself instead. Also the seating is so uncomfortable idk why they even need an hour limit ALSO the ‘you can’t sit before you order’ only applies to certain customers. I’ve watched 3+ parties sit down without ordering and no one stopped them.

This was a very pleasant brunch experience. Great customer service and food came out promptly! Maybe the portions could be a bit heavier but the food taste great.

The food and coffee here are outstanding. everything tastes so fresh and thoughtfully made. I tried the avo toast with an egg and it was perfect, and the lavender oat milk latte might be the best coffee I’ve had in Atlanta. Friendly staff and a cozy vibe make it a spot I’ll keep coming back to.
Karim J — Google review
I frequent quite a few coffee shops in the area to sit and get some work done so I was excited to try a new place, but as soon as we walked in, that excitement was quickly squashed. There were a lot of empty tables inside, but there were already order numbers sitting on top of most of them so we were confused whether the tables were actually open or not. Turns out, they are trying to discourage people from sitting before ordering. Usually when at a cafe, we set our bag down at a table and then go order, but we were told by the cashier that we would have to order first before sitting down. We hadn’t looked at a menu before coming in, so we had to awkwardly stand at the entrance and ended up just ordering coffee so we could sit down. The two iced lattes cost $17 which is ridiculously expensive compared to all the other coffee shops we frequent. We ended up not ordering food because of this. While ordering, we also noticed a weird list of off putting rules. The main ones included limiting computer and wifi usage to an hour, and the wifi is also disabled after 11 am. As people who came to this cafe specifically to try and do some work out of the house, this obviously meant we wouldn’t be coming back here. I’m writing this review while still sitting inside, looking at empty tables around us wondering why this all day coffee shop and brunch cafe discourage people from taking up space in this place of business. It’s small inside but so is everywhere else we go and drink coffee and eat and work. We also felt like we were being treated like children, and that because of the way we look we were not valued as much as other customers. Will not be coming back.

Food Terminal is a vibrant and modern restaurant that offers Malaysian cuisine and Asian street food. The owners have drawn inspiration from their cultural background, incorporating dishes influenced by the trading history of Malaysia with India and China. Customers praise the hot and tasty food, excellent customer service, and clean environment.
A truly amazing experience, the staff was very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was very trendy mixed with a little industrial feel. The food was very amazing, whoever came up with the salted egg yolk wings deserve an award it was truly delicious. The Garlic Bone Marrow soup created an amazing fusion of a ramen n hotpot experience which my taste buds truly enjoyed. For desert I had the sticky rice with mango n I think it was a coconut sauce, whatever it was it was amazing. Definitely bring your appetite and you will have an amazing experience, give them a try. Prices are really reasonable and everything on the menu looks delicious.

Michelin recommended Food Terminal in Chamblee is an absolute gem! Every visit here feels like a culinary adventure through the streets of Southeast Asia. The menu is massive — but in the best way possible. Whether you’re craving rich, comforting noodle soups or something with bold spice and heat like their spicy chili wontons or garlic shrimp ramen, there’s always something unforgettable to try. The interior is super stylish with an urban, industrial vibe that feels modern yet cozy. Perfect for a casual date night or a foodie hangout with friends. The service is consistently fast and friendly — even when they’re packed, the staff makes you feel genuinely welcome. Highly recommend the Crispy Pig Ear, Garlic Noodles with Pork Belly, and their Thai Tea. And the presentation of every dish? Top notch. Instagram-worthy and mouthwatering every time. This was my inaugural experience delving into Malaysian cuisine, a delightful recommendation from my beautiful partner, and I must say, Food Terminal completely surpassed my expectations! The ingredients were remarkably fresh and vibrant, each bite bursting with bold flavors that beautifully showcased the intricate richness of the dishes. From fragrant herbs to sumptuous spices, everything was a feast for the senses. Every dish arrived in generous portions, making it ideal for sharing with loved ones or savoring on my own. The service was impeccable—attentive yet unobtrusive—contributing to a welcoming and warm atmosphere that elevated the entire dining experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Food Terminal to anyone looking to explore the delights of Malaysian fare, and I can't wait to return to indulge in even more of their tantalizing menu offerings!

I came here w/ my family so we got handful of dishes to share to be eaten with rice (not pictured). Hainanese Chicken - this was good, nicely seasoned and went great with the soy sauce served with it. Five Spice Pork Belly - the pork belly was super tender, seasoned well, and the pickled veggies paired well with the fattiness of the pork belly. Beef Rendang - this was by far my favorite dish. Seasoned perfectly, the gravy covered the rice, the beef was super tender, a little spice that was balanced by the coconut milk. this dish is a must have. Chinese Broccoli - we really ordered this because everything else was so much meat, it was fine, just something to eat alongside all the other dishes. Mango Sticky Rice - the perfect dessert to end the meal.

We came to the Buford location for lunch after loving the Alpharetta one, and this was a genuine disaster. The Thai tea was the only thing worth mentioning—it was great. But everything else was a letdown. The Hainanese chicken was incredibly bland, the Penang prawn reeked, and the curry laksa chicken was dry and tough. The ginger rolling plate was okay but nothing special. To top it all off, our server couldn’t give us any real recommendations and just brushed it off by saying there weren’t many options. For a place we had high hopes for, this was beyond disappointing. If you want a good experience, skip Buford and head to Alpharetta.

Latin American restaurant
Las Delicias De La Abuela is a vibrant restaurant that offers a mix of traditional Colombian dishes alongside American favorites like burgers and hot dogs. The atmosphere is lively, with festive decor that pays homage to its Latin American roots. It's a casual dining spot with a strong bar vibe, serving excellent drinks such as the generous and delicious mojitos. The service is top-notch, with attentive staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and can make great recommendations.
A little piece of Colombia, one of the best Colombian restaurants that Atlanta has to offer. Shoutout to our waitress Monica who was very pleasant and attentive. Food was delicious as always. Was waiting at the dealership for my car and decided to walk over for this amazing breakfast. Well worth the walk. Till next time!

From the moment we walked in, Las Delicias de La Abuela felt like a celebration—colorful decorations, soccer on the TVs, and the unmistakable aroma of home-cooked food. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the food… absolutely phenomenal. I had the Bandeja Paisa, and it was one of the best I’ve had outside of Colombia—perfectly grilled meats, crispy chicharrón, creamy beans, sweet plantains, and a beautifully cooked egg on top. My partner ordered the fried whole fish, which was golden, crisp, and served with lime, coconut rice, and patacones—so fresh and flavorful. To top it off, their coffee was served in a charming enamel mug that made the experience feel even more cozy and personal. You can tell this place is made with love and tradition. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy real Colombian comfort food in a fun, festive setting. We’ll definitely be back!

Monica our waitress was very attentive the food is amazing! True Colombian food. Atmosphere is fun and inviting they were so sweet to our three yr old and she loved the food! Sorry we should have taken a photo before digging in. We had the VIP and for the three of us it was more than enough . We will be back with friends. And get the cheese bread you won’t regret it!!! (They will warm it up for you if you ask)

My friend took me to celebrate my birthday with a Colombian brunch, and it was such a great surprise! From the outside the place looks simple, but inside it’s spacious, with a dance floor and a true Hispanic family-style atmosphere. The service was outstanding—special thanks to Navela (hope I spelled it right!) who went above and beyond to make my day special, and even the manager stopped by to check on us. The team singing Happy Birthday made it unforgettable. The food was excellent—authentic Colombian flavors. I recommend the empanaditas, patacón with cheese, and the house-made mojitos. Don’t miss it! I also learned they have dancing on Fridays at 7 pm 🎉🥳

Amazing ! From the moment I walked in,loved every moment. Charming, vibrant and the food is on the next level. I must admit, the best empanadas I have ever had. If you crave Columbian food, this is the place to go.

Las Delicias is the GO TO Colombian restaurant. Was there for breakfast which was amazing. The coffee was to die and the calentado made me feel like I was back in the homeland. Monica, our server, was so attentive and made sure more than once that we were satisfied and had what we needed.

Second time coming here for lunch and the food was awesome both times! Sofia was my server both times and she was very welcoming, attentive, and answered any questions we had about the menu. Would definitely recommend for the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the food! Pictured is the arepa pollo meschado and the patacones (tostones) con queso.

Breakfast restaurant
Nestled in southwest Atlanta, The Beautiful Restaurant has been a beloved staple since 1979, offering a delightful cafeteria-style experience that celebrates Southern cuisine. Known for its mouthwatering ribs, catfish, and ham hocks paired with an array of sides, this eatery is a haven for comfort food lovers. Patrons rave about the home-cooked meals featuring fresh vegetables and delectable desserts like their famous banana pudding.
I visited on 8-3-2025. This restaurant is a Historic Soul Food Treasure! I looked at the menu on the website before I went here. I've been chilling off the beef for months. I've been eating chicken lately so I needed a change. They had a beef short rib plate for me and I got a oxtail plate for Mom. I got dressing with Mac and cheese and cornbread. I got mom mac and cheese with yams and oxtails and cornbread. The food is delicious! One of the best meals I ever had since I've been in the area. Pull up and support. Just be sure to leave me some food. I might just pull up before to make sure that I'm good. Established in 1979 and still going strong!

I recently ordered from The Beautiful Restaurant through DoorDash and had a mixed experience with the meal. The black-eyed peas were a highlight, offering a pleasant and well-balanced flavor that showcased thoughtful seasoning. The rice with gravy, however, could have used a touch more salt to bring out its full potential. The ribs were tender but unremarkable, lacking the bold flavor or smokiness that might make them stand out. Unfortunately, the cornbread was very dry, which detracted from the overall meal. On the positive side, the food arrived promptly and was still warm, which is always appreciated when ordering delivery. While there’s room for improvement, The Beautiful Restaurant is a reasonable option for an okay lunch delivered to your door. Rating: 3/5
Tae C — Google review
Cornbread dry. Smothered steak overcooked and tough. Stingy with the gravy that is not remarkable. Charging for rice as a side with a dish that has gravy is insane especially since it’s plain white rice that is less than twenty five cents in portion size. Sweet potatoes not good. Too sweet and lacks other spices or flavor. Gravy over rice bland. Food was too expensive for what I got basically one hamburger patty, with rice, sweet potatoes, and cornbread should have been ten to fifteen dollars was over twenty dollars. I would not patronize them again food is too expensive to be this flavorless and overcooked. Staff were not memorable in their interaction with me. the atmosphere was old and dated.

We tried the Beautiful Restaurant yesterday and absolutely loved it. Just an absolutely delicious home-cooked meal, pure comfort food, good for the soul. The ribs were falling off the bone, so flavorful. The dressing, the mac and cheese, the collards. All absolutely unreal! Everybody was so friendly—the diners, the team, the manager. There was such a sense of community. We will definitely be back.

The lady behind the counter all black uniform, all black cheeks and all black neck is extremely rude and rushes you with a very bad attitude. Please do better. This place is not the same place I grew up going to eat breakfast and lunch, with the line out the door with prompt service. So please do better. The food tastes like it’s out of a can now.

This place used to be pretty reasonably priced but I just went in and they didn’t have the breakfast prices listed so I got to the register and got charged 4 dollars for a tiny little bit of eggs and then 4.50 for each piece of sausage, so the whole thing including the biscuit (and they charged for cheese on the eggs) ended up being $16 if you want to cut cut off your arm for payment here’s the place.

Guests can enjoy happy hour specials and weekend brunch at this inviting establishment. Visitors rave about the ample parking, clean atmosphere, and live music that adds to the vibrant ambiance.
We were only in town for 4 days/3 nights and managed to eat here every night. The food was phenomenal. The service too, even with the line out of the door. We tried the fried chicken, catfish and Cajun grilled shrimp first. Came back for the smother pork chops and turkey wing. And today had to hit the brisket before our flight tomorrow. So so good. The hoe cakes were probably my fav but the cabbage and mac definitely get an honorable mention. And can’t forget the strawberry banana pudding! Highly recommend!

Decided to come to LSSKB last night for dinner—spent $80 including the service charge/gratuity I wasn’t aware was automatically included for TO GO orders. I ordered: Smoked Salmon, yellow rice, cabbage, BBQ baked beans, BBQ glazed ribs, fries, the chicken tenders basket, & two orders of the hoecakes. FYI Everything on the menu is à la cart. My salmon was okay-for $14 the size could have been a little bigger. I got more skin than meat. Yellow rice was under cooked— it was hard. Rice should be fluffy. My baked BBQ beans were too sweet. I really didn’t taste much bbq sauce. My cabbage was over cooked/soggy. My sister had the ribs— she said they weren’t the best in the A but they were okay. The hoe cakes were slightly cold. The best thing I ordered was the chicken tender basket for the kids. At least now I know exactly what to order if I decide to come back.

This is, without a doubt, the easiest 5 star review I’ve ever left. We are visiting from Michigan for the weekend and decided to try Lickety Split on a whim. Have you ever walked into a restaurant and knew the second you walked in that you were about to have the best meal of your life? Well, that was me walking into Lickety Split. From the second we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. The menu was a bit intimidating, but we ended up ordering a little bit of everything, and I’m glad we did. I’m not exaggerating when i say nothing on our order was anything less than top notch. It was a meal I’m probably going to think about for a long time, and honestly is making me kind of think about moving to Atlanta. Maybe I’ve had better meals before, but as i type, I’m having a hard time thinking of when. I also want to shout out our server, Yolanda (Yolanda, I’m so sorry if I’m misspelling your name, but I think i tossed my receipt by accident before i could write my review), was patient with us while we looked over the menu and made sure all of our questions were answered. This is without a doubt my new favorite restaurant, and I’m going to have to start looking for excuses to head down to Atlanta to visit. Thanks for a wonderful experience - hoping we can make it back before we head home to try the dessert menu!

With intentionality, my crew visited Lickety Split on Virginia Ave. We were warmly greeted, the service was good, and the food was great! Although the food was served in "to-go" containers, the presentation was good, and portions were commensurate to the á la carte price. Overall, it is a low-key/no-frills spot, which I appreciate. An added bonus is the accessible free parking. Currently, they are in rotation. Hoping for consistency.

Lickety Split Southern Kitchen has some great tasting catfish and fried chicken seasoned well and served hot and fresh a can’t miss southern fried foods. The green beans and yams are great the greens along with the macaroni and cheese were lacking in flavor but not the worst that I have had. This is not your typical place to eat. You seat yourself and walk up to the counter to order your meal. The staff were friendly polite and very helpful with choice of meals and service. If you’re in Atlanta Georgia near the airport area stop in this family own eatery you won’t be disappointed.

This is the second time my husband & I went here on our weekend trip to Atlanta—this place is THAT good. We split an order of perfect ribs and a couple of delicious sides—because we wanted to make sure we had room for dessert this time! (Forgot to take pics but the sweet potato pie and strawberry-banana pudding were TOP-NOTCH.) Despite it being a busy weekend night, Aaron B was a fantastic server who made sure we still got our order quickly. And everything was piping hot and fresh. Can’t wait to visit again so we can try more from here!

This was a great spot for my birthday dinner. The food was delicious, the drinks strong and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. We had to wait quite a bit for our plates but was worth the wait. I would definitely visit again and try some other options! The catfish ravioli was perfection.

We are in town for Women Evolved and wanted to try a locate spot. Saw this place on Google and wanted to give it a try. We were greeted as we came in and loved the atmosphere. Quaint with a wisp of elevated elegance. From its art adorned walls to the twists on traditional southern dining, this is a wonderful contemporary restaurant. The staff is attentive and Chaz was both friendly and polite. The manager Keisha, (I hope I spelled her name correctly) added to the experience with engaging conversation about the restaurant. They truly want you to be pleased with the service and the food. The collard green rolls are exceptional as well as the fried chicken that's fried to crispy perfection. Even the bread basket has several variances that go well with any entrée. I would highly recommend and I will be returning. Thank you Keisha, Chaz and the staff of Twisted Soul.

Made a reservation for four on Saturday at 11am with the wife a our friends. Reservation was t needed as we were the only ones there for a while. We were sat promptly and our server was attentive and food was delivered quickly. We shared the 'Bread Service Basket' and it was a good, tasty selection. Also had the 'Smoked Salmon Eggroles' which I didn't partake in. Friends seemed to like them, wife, not so much. Wife had the 'Hoisin Oxtails' which were strangely missing the bok choi. Needless to say she didn't enjoy her meal at all. She couldn't put her finger on it but she didn't like it. Friends seemed to like their 'Southern Marinated Fried Chicken' and 'Dirty South Fried Chicken Omelette' well enough though our friend did not finish her fried chicken. I had the 'Steak And Eggs' which were good but not worth the $40 price tag, more than the menu online for some reason. Overall decent spot to eat some soul food but won't be back for brunch. Kinda pricey for what you're getting in my opinion. We might try some dinner fare but we're hardly pressed to come back.

Black owned. We walked in and were instantly greeted by the host and sat immediately. The decor was a mix of industrial chic, really vibes. Our server, Cierra, came and greeted us warmly. She went over special drinks and described the start of Twisted Soul and how the founder was a flight attendant for 30+ years and experienced many cultures and decided to share her experiences via food with a soul twist. We ordered drinks and apps and Cierra brought out a bread basket--literally the best bread basket I've experienced. No butter or anything required. We order the wings as an app and they were so good we order two more portions lol For my meal I had their version of a fried chicken sandwich and it was delectable as expected but I couldn't finish it due to filling up on the bread basket and apps. I really can't say enough about the food, I could go into what my friends ordered but the moral of all of their stories is that EVERYTHING was literally good. We will be back.

Corey was our server and he did an amazing job! He gave awesome recommendations and knew the menu. He was attentive without being annoying. And, then there's the food! The FOOD! OMG. DELICIOUS. We started with the country fried artichokes — and I've never. EVER. Better than the best calamari! For real! Fried green tomatoes were yum, too. Then, I had the duck schnitzel and sweet potato waffles and my friend had the fried catfish and grits. I haven't had food that had that much flavor in a long time. And, the dranks! OMG. We went during the brunch and were given a free mimosa. I ordered the Expensive Habits and baby, it was worth it!!! DELIGHTFUL. I ALMOST FORGOT the best part... the Strawberry Moonshine Poundcake. WHEW. HEAVEN. Just order it. thank me later. I'm going back. Soon.

Humble Pie is a delightful culinary gem that takes the concept of pizza to new heights, thanks to the creative minds of Chefs Ron Hsu and Aaron Phillips. Nestled in the vibrant Interlock scene, this pizzeria offers an array of unique pies that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. One standout dish is their Loaded Baked Potato Pizza, which elevates a beloved side into a main attraction.
Great service and food here. We loved the truffle fries, pizza choices and crab hush puppies. Atmosphere was a little off but only because the fire or security alarm kept ringing…although no actual alarm. If go back again!!
Crystal — Google review
We had high expectations for the Humble Pie, based on excellent online reviews. Ultimately, the Humble pie underdelivered. Here are the details: Ambiance & Service: A The open, airy, and welcoming décor was a real plus. Service was courteous and attentive. Appetizer – Jumbo House Wings: C- Totally pedestrian… truly nothing special. You can find better wings at Wing Stop. Appetizer – Not So Humble Fries: B+ I’m partial to thick, bulgy fries, yet these were quite thin. But they were good… flavorful and crunchy. Entrees – Steak and Eggs: D+ We ordered the steak medium rare, yet it arrived well done. Very little flavor to this dish… You can eat better steak and eggs at IHOP. Entrées – 2 Pizzas: B We ordered both the Short Rib Philly and the Carnivore. Both were decent to good, but a far cry from special. Mocktail – Mojito: C+ It was basically lemonade… I also was disappointed with the menu. We arrived at 11:45am and expected to order from their single “All-Day” menu. Yet because it was before 12pm, we were forced to order from their brunch menu. Excuse me? Why is it called “All-Day” menu if it’s not really all-day? And it was only 10 to 15 minutes before noon and exceptions can’t be made? Before tipping, we paid $130.68 for our meal (3 people, water, one mocktail, 2 appetizers, 3 entrees, no dessert, no alcohol). Ultimately, we expected at 5-star experience and were given a 3-star meal at best. We will not be returning.

Walked over to eat here while waiting on our reserved tee-time. Server was very attentive. Greeted with smiles upon arrival. Food was good. The portions of low-averaged size (wings). Pizza was okay. Will try the meat one next time. Wedges were plentiful and really good.

For an upscale pizzeria, this was a very cute spot to celebrate a friend turning 40!!! The carnivore was to die for. That short rib was cooked to perfection. Any pizza cooked with lots of meat that does not give me indigestion is always a win-win for me!!! The Ocho Bordeux was so nice and fruity, I had to get it twice. Very well mixed and paid with our pizza, and the hush puppies were good, too. Will definitely be back to dine again with hubby.
Meica D — Google review
I'd heard this place was good, but it somehow exceeded expectations. Fried green tomatoes were light, flaky and well seasoned. Paired with a semi-sweet salad. Shrimp and grits were savory and creamy as ____. Pepperoni pizza was thin, crispy and perfect. HOWEVER, we sat at the bar and the bartender was spread so thin - working inside and outside. He was perfect and extremely communicative, but anyone could tell he needed help. For over an hour, we sat and saw the bartender mixing drinks and taking order for over 6 different parties. I can't not say something because the lack of service was NOT the fault of the bartender and servers are always taking the brunt of the stress when put in this position. I would highly recommend this place (even with the $15 nearest parking) but I would encourage management to ensure this isn't a normal occurrence.
Michael S — Google review
Let me be the one to be honest. The food looks amazing but it tastes the complete opposite. For the wings the only flavor offered is buffalo which doesn’t taste like buffalo sauce AT ALL! This is your warning! Atleast offer different flavors especially if the only flavor you have doesn’t taste like the flavor offered. The chicken was not done and the inside was pink. Smh! Im honestly baffled. Now the small dish is suppose to be Mac & Cheese. It tastes like a bowl of Alfredo noodles they should be ashamed for naming it mac & cheese. The pasta veggies & noodles were undercooked and so bland my God they need another menu and chef! I don’t want anyone to lose their job but Mr. Chef please season and completely COOK your food. I’m not racist at all but once I saw the chef it pretty much answered all of my questions. Also the free water offered was disgusting. I’m just over it at this point talking about it makes me cringe. By the way I didn’t eat any of the food I sent it back and left. I don’t plan on dining here again. Also be prepared to pay $15-50 for parking depending on the hours.

(5/19/23)On a busy street corner in midtown Atlanta humble pie is a great stop for some quality pizza. Our table of four was perfect for this intimate setting. Two floors tall. Not much of a view but who cares, there’s pizza lol. Philly short rib was the best pizza but the wings stole the show in my opinion. Roasted Cesar gets a honorable mention. I didn’t have any alcoholic beverages but I was told they to were well done. Definitely a great place for a date night. Humble Pie, thanks for the experience.

I've been dying to try this place and I am so glad I did! It was a rainy, cold day so other wasn't as busy as it has the capacity to be. To start, I sat - the bar per my usual. The ambiance is very cool and trendy. I ordered the Strawberry French 75, it was delicious! Strawberries are in season right now, FYI. It was a great way to start off the brunch experience. I'm so glad Amelia (or Emilia) mentioned it. Next, I ordered the C.B.C.B. w/a separate side of cheese grits. Amelia brought a small side of pineapple compote & a side of the strawberry compote to have with breakfast sandwich. The strawberry was a sweet addition to the bold cheddar cheese flavor of the sandwich. I skipped the pineapple - personal preference. The chicken breast was crispy & the bacon was plentiful and tasty! Overall, it was a great breakfast. I would definitely return.

We've been eating here for several years. It is always fantastic. Everything on the menu is delicious. You cannot go wrong with anything you order. Service is also always amazing. Delicious. Nourishing. Must-go-back for another visit kind of dishes and atmosphere. 1. They have homemade pineapple jelly. 2. The vegetable plate. Fried green tomatoes? Fab. Also the veggie plate is all vegetarian friendly. I don't know how but those collards are amazing even without ham. 3. The house made soda was refreshing. 4. Their website recommends parking options! 10/10 ⭐ 5. Definitely visit them soon.

I ordered the CBCB. This sandwich has thin, breaded pieces of chicken. Seems like a great idea, and the other reviews looked great. Mine was dry, overcooked, and chewy. The only thing I could taste on the sandwich was too much salt. I paid $6 for a side of 2 eggs. Not only was this too expensive, the eggs came out wet and undercooked. The texture was flat and slimy. Come on guys, train your cook or replace him. My meal was inedible. I got a refund on the eggs though and the server was very nice.

When we first moved to Decatur, Rising Son was our favorite and we recommended it to everyone. Quaint interior, good value for money, and friendly staff. However our last few visits have been increasingly mediocre. The breakfast dumplings have increasingly gotten less filling - with our last order being mostly dumpling with a half grape-sized piece of sausage in each with a large pocket of air (which may be due to frying too hot?), the fried green tomatoes however never disappoint and are a constant favorite, yet the bacon seems to be jerky-like and like it’s been sitting under a microwave/heat lamp for prolonged periods along with dry, almost crumbly eggs. Nothing inedible, but definitely seems like a drop from the home cooked quality meals we first experienced. Service is always good; but definitely has dropped a few rings on our brunch option list. Hopefully it’s just been a bad few visits, and their food gets back to the deliciousness we remember! ♥️

Roshambo "The Diner's Diner" is a new addition to the dining scene, launched in fall 2022 by the Unsukay group. It prides itself on being a diner with a twist, offering innovative takes on classic dishes alongside unexpected surprises like Crispy Fish Tacos and Cacio e Pepe. Despite its name, the restaurant's upscale interior defies traditional diner expectations with its attention to detail in decor and menu offerings.
ALWAYS SOLID. No matter what my husband and I order here, it's always terrific. We like that the menu changes, but a few dishes stay in the rotation. We also enjoy the atmosphere. It's clean and relaxed but still sophisticated. It's one of the few places we would go to more than once in the same month. Last time, my husband tried the Magnolia breakfast for dinner and enjoyed it, especially the grits. I had the salad with roasted chicken, and it was one of the best salads I've ever had. Fish tacos are very good, and so is the featured fish dish. We also have had the party bucket of chicken with the sides, and it was delicious. It's a fun dish to share with a group. Cocktails are good here, too. Overall, after multiple occasions eating here, never any complaint.

Forgot the name of the server but she was great and so was the food even something that I think is simple and that’s the hummus had a huge wow factor! Perfectly good fish, Drinks were awesome and my son loved his spaghetti. Wish I lived closer to this place. Great experience.

I'll tell you what, 5 stars just for the biscuits. They didn't like much, but when I put it in my mouth(⏸️) it was magical. Never had a biscuit like it. The spinach dip is fire. Short-rib ragu is outstanding! Skip the tots, the steak needs a little work. Nonetheless, I'll be back

So me and my sister were looking for a good happy hour to take my mom and my cousin too and we came across Roshambo on TikTok and it did not disappoint! Happy hour is from 4-6pm (wish it was longer) and they didn’t have much to chose from but the items that were offered were really good. We got the Brussel sprouts, oyster rocafella, grilled cheese with tomato soup to start and it was all so good! For happy hour, they do offer drinks at a discounted price. So any drink that was $14 was actually $10 during happy hour. I had an espresso martini that was really good. We also had a pitcher of cosmopolitan for $35. That had about 3-4 glasses in it. For dinner we had chicken Parmesan, which was just okay. The flavors were there just very unseasoned. The noodles and the chicken were very bland. Also the chicken wings which were good but they don’t come with any dipping sauce. The Thai chili sauce on the wings were good. We asked for blue cheese and they didn’t have it so we asked for ranch. They tried to make us a blue cheese by mixing blue cheese crumbles in the ranch and it was horrible. Just take the regular ranch instead lol. My sister had the shrimp hot pot which was delicious! It had this creamy coconut flavor that was so good! It wasn’t what we were really expecting but nonetheless, still delicious! For dessert, we had a ‘cookies and milk’ which was just a big warm cookie with cream in the side. I would have thought ice cream would have came with it but no. Our service was wonderful. Brittany, our server, was sooo good! And she had great support because everyone was very helpful. Happy hour time was not very busy at all. She told us that they were busier in the day but typically, around 7pm is when it gets busy. Roshambo, I’ll be back!

Ordered the Tuna Poke Salad. Very good. Definitely recommend it. Oyster Rockefeller appetizer was good too. My companions enjoyed the fried chicken.

Was served our first appetizer very promptly. Had to inquire after 30+ minutes for our second appetizer, which they had apparently forgotten. My husband's burger was perfect, my chicken was pink in the middle, and there was a long blond hair in my biscuit. My husband is bald and I have red hair. So obviously it didn't belong to either one of us. In my opinion not worth the price tag

Came here for brunch and I'm seriously impressed. The restaurant just has a nice clean and upscale feel. Love the ambiance and the music choice. I ordered the eggs Benedict and the eggs were runny which is exactly the way it should be. My man ordered the chicken and waffles. We added tots which was nice to enjoy with our meal. Enjoyed a Bloody Mary. Craig was attentive and service was excellent. If you have not tried this place you should. It's really good!

I recently dined at Roshambo and had a truly memorable experience. The food was delicious, and the ambiance of the restaurant created a pleasant atmosphere. However, what really set the evening apart was the exceptional service provided by Courtney. Her patience, attentiveness, and deep knowledge of the menu made our date night effortless and enjoyable. Courtney’s excellent service was a standout aspect of our visit. Thank you, Courtney, for making our night so special.

Soul food restaurant
Restaurant
Big Daddy's Cafe is a popular spot in Cascade known for its soul food menu with Caribbean influences. The takeout-only restaurant offers dishes like fried chicken, oxtails, black eyed peas, and collard greens. Customers rave about the generous portions and flavorful dishes such as mac n cheese, creamed corn, meatloaf, ribs, and fresh fried fish. The family-owned business is praised for cooking with love and offering reasonably priced meals that are seasoned to perfection.
I live in Middle Ga and often come to Atlanta where I'm from to eat. But for this plate I purchased it for my sister otw to visit her in the hospital. She said the food was good. The service was good. Lemonade was perfect. Only thing I don't like is spending my money in places that I can't even use the bathroom if needed. As an adult I can hold it. But my 7 year couldn't and had to piss in the parking lot. For that reason alone I won't return for me or anyone else.

The service was fast and efficient. We arrived around twelve noon. The food was hot freshly cooked. I had the Mac n cheese, black eye peas, whiting and collard greens. The fish was seasoned very slightly. The mac n cheese and the peas were ok. The staff were friendly. I was told about this place that everything is good. I would agree it was ok. It was flavorful enough to eat. I enjoyed the cornbread.

I’m a Georgia native and had this place for the first time in 30 years of living. My goodness. Real soul food. They season it enough where it’s not too salty. I would add pepper to my Mac and cheese and a little pepper to my greens but that’s it!! I was cussing myself out eating at the same time it was so good! I don’t know WHO IS BACK THERE STIRRING UP THAT PUDDING BUT THANK YOU! NO BOX PUDDING. Just like granny. This place is amazing.

I’m so sorry to have to write this but .. I didn’t enjoy anything about this food. I should’ve known when I walked in and saw nothing but older ppl waiting and ordering here. The last time this happened to me I found out real quick why this was the demographic.. the food is tasteless, chew-less… it’s giving GERIATRIC. I wanted to order the chicken first but I saw the color and consistency of the “gravy” and decided against it. I knew where that was headed so I ordered the meatloaf and that was my first mistake. That was not meatloaf that was freaking DOG FOOD with meatloaf sauce slapped on top of it. It had no density. It literally was slop. Same exact consistency and taste as canned dog food and I’m so serious. That was crazy. I didn’t need any teeth for the food. I gave it to my dog and she ate it up like the dog food it was. I don’t even know what kind of meat that was. Had to be mushrooms cuz that was not ground nothing!! I also ordered the broccoli casserole and it needed seasoning. Needed cheese. Needed more firm rice. I kept biting it looking for a piece of flavor. No. The mashed potatoes were tolerable. They used that see through gravy that was on the chicken. Tasteless too but I’m thankful for that cuz imagine eating the cheap instant mashed potatoes with clear nasty slime. I added cabbage and that’s the only thing that was decent. They weren’t seasoned well but just enough. They were extremely soft. Once again, you don’t need teeth to enjoy this food. But me & my dog enjoyed those. The cornbread was cold and not memorable. All in all, if you’ve got a long list of health conditions and need food easy on the stomach, flavor and teeth this is the spot for you. As for me, I can’t even think to step foot back into this place until I am of age. & that’s just my honest truth. Picture taken after I ate some of the food, cuz I just couldn’t believe this junk at all but beware this is how the meatloaf was served. Dog food.

Good spot to grab some quality soul food on the go. I usually get the fried wings but I tried the meatloaf this time. Let’s just say , I’ll stick with the fried wings going forward. Service (the line) moves a little slow at times but overall i recommend.
Shon H — Google review
I got the Sunday special which is baked chicken and dressing. This food is not good. Don't let the line trick you like it tricked me. The macaroni cheese was so nasty. It was straight out of the box no extra seasonings or anything. The dressing was sweet. The best thing about my meal was the corn bread muffin it came with. Maybe I got the wrong entree but the sides weren't good either.

I love coming here. I’m from Mississippi and me and my family love soul food. It’s a must we come here when visiting Atlanta . This time the food was excellent as always, but the service wasn’t the same. We stood in line for a good min and nobody acknowledged us. It wasn’t just us it was 2 other couples in line with us. The time we came wasn’t very busy. Another thing I noticed we ordered 4 plates . 1 oxtail plate, 1 beef tips and rice plate, and 2 short rib plates . I didn’t understand why 2 of the same exact plates were 2 different prices. I wasn’t happy about that, so future customers watch for what they are charging you because it didn’t make sense to me. I know better next time

Nestled in the heart of Cascade Heights, Oreatha's At The Point is a delightful upscale soul food haven that promises an unforgettable dining experience. On Wednesday nights, the ambiance comes alive with a talented violinist serenading guests as they savor mouthwatering dishes like Korean fried chicken and deeply seasoned half birds with perfectly crispy skin. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or enjoying a casual night out with friends, this spot caters to all moods.
Another hidden gem in Atlanta. We had a wonderful dinner experience. The food was extremely flavorful not salty. I was told the duck ravioli was rich, flavorful, and delicious! Duck meat was infused and outside the ravioli with a good balance of vegetables. It was so delectable, they considered ordering one to go. The vegetable ratatouille risotto had a nice flavor with finely chopped vegetables. The cauliflower is fried with a light batter with a savory sauce. We had a whiskey sample that was smooth full or character and did not burn. They have brought a fine dining experience to Cascade!

Had an amazing time at Oreatha’s. The waiter who was also the bartender was attentive. He checked in on us an appropriate amount of times and made sure we were good on drinks. My Okassan was definitely one of my favorite drinks. I love the atmosphere and the food was delicious. I loved everything that was plated in front of me. From the amuse bouche to the main entree. I look forward to dining here again. This restaurant is a gem.

The hype is well deserved. We were seated immediately and our waiter quickly attended us, giving an iverview of the menu. For appetizer, we ordered the salmon empanadas and a seasonal collard green rangoon and for entree we had the whole fried catfish with coconut grits and the oxtail, shitake, and goat cheese lasagne. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! We were well taken care of and will be back to try other items on the menu.

10/10! Hands down was the best meal I have ever eaten. The cocktails were amazing. We got the duck wings and the Oxtail Lasagna and both were so flavorful! You could the love and passion that goes into the cooking here. I live 4 hours away and I will 100% be coming back.

This restaurant has been on my list for quite some time. We came in on Mother’s Day. We were expecting a long wait but we were able to sit at the bar. My bf ordered the sweet potato pancakes with sausage and pecan syrup. I got one of the specials which was a seafood omelet stuffed with spinach cheese, smoked salmon, and capers. And topped with crab hollandaise. Im happy to report that the food drinks and service we received was very good.

I've been here twice and had a great experience every time! I've sat at the bar both times and each time the bartenders were attentive and welcoming. The food has been really good. I love the fried arroz con pollo and the fried green tomatoes! I will definitely come back again -- They change portions of their menu every few months!

Our server Blue exhibited “World Class Customer Service.” He was professional, courteous & patient. He recommended items on the menu that were very delicious. The young lady with the glasses was very sweet & helpful. The service top tier!! I would come back just for the service. Oh & the food was good too!

Orethea’s is a long overdue & warmly welcomed addition to the SWATS, as there’s been a deficit of restaurants offering elevated dining experiences. Each dish is carefully curated by Chef Lucky to satisfy your taste buds without overpowering them. If you’ve dined at Rock Steady when they first opened, then you are aware of his culinary genius! Take note of the aromas wafting from the kitchen where Chef Lucky smokes the salmon that’s used for those yummy salmon empanadas….so make certain to order your own because you won’t want to share! Portions for the apps & entrees are generous. Our party thoroughly enjoyed the collard greens hush puppies, fried green tomato caprese salad, catfish, smoked pork chop, and the (must try) oxtail lasagna! Try to save room for a crafted cocktail vs dessert & enjoy the blood orange key lime pie and the chocolate bread pudding croissant if you can! So nice I ate there twice in one weekend! And yes, I will return 😉

Restaurant
Rock's Chicken & Fries is a popular spot located near the Georgia Aquarium, offering delicious fried chicken and fries. The chicken tenders are perfectly fried, tender, and well-seasoned, while the fries are fresh with a crispy exterior and fluffy interior. The dipping sauces add extra flavor to the meal. Additionally, they offer vegan options for those who prefer it. Despite being close to closing time during one visit, the service was great and the food was satisfying.
Amazing the chicken was nice and hot so were the fries. My kids absolutely loved it. I’m actually inside the restaurant writing a reviews right now as you can see we devoured the buffalo tenders

I'm a chicken wing nut! I drive an hour to try out a new wing spot. And I'm very happy to say that this restaurant delivers (and literally)! Everyone enjoyed their dinner very much. Our order was kinda large, but only took 15 minutes to prepare. Only thing that I would like to see done differently is that the fries could be a bit crunchier. That's my preference anyway. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Rick G — Google review
The BEST chicken! The best sauces! And these fries are SO fresh…. Not from Atlanta but wish I was so I could eat Rocks Chicken & Fries more often!
Dani H — Google review
Amazing Experience! We walked right in after sampling chicken at the door and were greeted with quick, friendly service. Our food was ready in under 10 minutes, and wow—what a treat! The chicken and waffles were absolutely incredible, hands down the best we’ve ever had. I consider myself a bit of a chicken snob, but this place is truly top tier. The fries were perfectly done, crispy and flavorful, and everything was served hot and fresh. The restaurant itself was spotless, with staff actively cleaning tables as soon as they became available. Don’t let the simple presentation fool you—the flavor more than makes up for it. Every bite was worth savoring. This meal made our 32 hours in Atlanta worth the 11-hour drive. Yummy, yummy indeed!
Rebecca W — Google review
The salad options here are very good. Chicken tenders are good, but on the small side. The chicken wings were a mixed bag: the basic wing prep seemed good. But the lemon pepper flavor was very salty, and should have been drained longer. There was quite a lot of oil in the bottom of the container.
Lucy T — Google review
Our food was delicious! We ordered for pick up to take to our hotel near the restaurant and it was still hot and steaming when we got back to our room. We got the fried chicken tenders, which were heavenly though a bit smaller than anticipated but they were homemade not frozen out of a bag so that did not bother us! The French fries were so good! They had the perfect amount of salt, were fried to perfection and I wish I had more than I got and we got two huge orders! My fiancee got the chicken wings, he loved the flavor and the chicken tasted seasoned well with the sauce as well, but he did say they were a smidge overdone and dry but he still enjoyed them. We also got a garden salad with a couple things requested off and it was delicious! I have an allergy to a fruit that a lot of people use to smoke food and smoke bacon, I informed them of this allergen and they were very accommodating and informed me once we arrived none of the food had this allergy and our food didn't have any contact with that allergen.
Melinda R — Google review
Visiting from out of town and came into this location to experience poor quality and poor service. First I ordered 5 Chicken tenders and Fries thinking that would be a more than sufficient meal for an adult… WRONG !! These tenders were the size of a 8 year olds pinky and anything but filling. I should have taken that for what it was but I was still hungry, so I thought I would order 10 wings tossed in buffalo sauce.. the cashier told me that he was unable to honor my request for all flats even after I offered to pay more as most places often charge a fee for this. Upon receiving my extremely overcooked wings, it was noticed that 8/10 of these wings had little to no sauce at all on them, ate 2 wings and threw the rest away, knowing that if the staff didn’t care enough to properly prepare my order that saying anything wouldn’t matter either. extremely disappointed and unsatisfied with this poor quality restaurant. DO NOT Recommend. The hand cut fries were good tho and that’s the whole reason for the Extra Star, otherwise it would be a one star.

For fellow Buffalo Bills supporters traveling to Atlanta for the game, I highly recommend Rock’s Chicken & Fries as an exceptional venue for indulging in their renowned chicken wings—featuring crisp flats and drums—alongside succulent chicken tenders and hand-cut Idaho Russet fries. Our family recently marked my son’s 21st birthday at this establishment with remarkable ease, encountering no delays or disruptions, which allowed for a truly enjoyable and uninterrupted gathering in the lively setting. We anticipate an exhilarating matchup as the Bills face the Atlanta Falcons tomorrow. 28

Dagu Rice Noodle is a clean and friendly place with fast service. The hot noodle dishes are perfect for cold weather, and the affordable prices allow you to try various appetizers. The portions are small but diverse, similar to tapas. The Signature rice noodle with braised bone-in pork is recommended, especially for those who prefer mild flavors. Additionally, the brown sugar rice cakes and salty chicken come highly recommended.
Overall, I would give it four stars. I ordered the tomato beef rice noodles (my friend did as well). The taste was good, but aside from the noodles, there wasn’t much meat or vegetables. Although it was filling, it didn’t feel very satisfying...emmm...but not bad (like medium level?) Also, the vegetables were the salad type, which felt a bit strange. The pudding milk tea tasted pretty average, at least I would say they can improve it. I might go back to try other flavors(?) Like spicy noodle or sour beef..My other friend recommended pairing it with fried chicken for a more satisfying meal.

This is a hidden gem for the best fried chicken! My wife and I split the Crispy Karagge Chicken. And we're blown away! The skin is crispy perfection and the meat is moist and succulent. I have been here about 10 times Since they just started business. Sadly I saw them worse and worse. Today is a new low. The beef starter was sliced more than 10mm per piece and so hard to chew. It suppose to be about 3 mm. And they refuse to admit they are lazy today and keep telling me it is always like that. I know they are lying because I have ordered this starter many times. If the manager is reading this, you should work harder on the management. I understand today is new year eve and nobody want to work. But I paid for the food. And I will never be there again.

Dagu Noodle is a great spot for a late-night meal when you're craving something hearty and satisfying. I especially love their rice noodles in bone broth—it’s warm and comforting, perfect for winter. Their whole fried chicken is also a favorite—super crispy and delicious!

The place is very nice clean. The service is fast and ver friendly. The food is pretty good. Hot noodle is best in cold weather. The affordable price makes it easy to try several appetizers at the same time. They are small portions like tapas but have a good variety. We ordered Signature rice noodle with braised bone-in pork for entree. I like the super boiling broth, the mild flavor suits me well but my bf preferred more flavor dish so next time he will try the spicy one. For appetizers, we had: - Marinated pork bone - Deep-fried spring roll - Deep-fried mini bun - Fried fish tofu - Brown sugar sticky rice All appetizers are good. We had so much so we to-go the mini bun. When I reheated the mini bun in microwave at home, it get harden (I put them up for 1 minute but maybe that's too long) and hard to eat so I would suggest not reheat the bun in microwave if you had it to-go or overnight in the fridge. We had hot tea and hot soy milk for drink order. It was a cold night out so we didn't get to try their fancy cold drink. It's fresh soy milk, not those from the can or bottle, so it's a plus to me. Overall we had a good experience. We also like how late at night the restaurant open; it helps a lot with us night owl people. Definitely recommend!

Their not-too-sweet candied yams and moist cornbread provide the perfect accompaniment to the flavorful main dishes. Good energy at this place and they are clean! The man at the register is very nice, the food was amazing, presentation and taste! Best soul food I’ve had in Atlanta yet! I will be back. I got the turkey legs but my finance got the catfish and it was to die for!

I recently linked up with friends at Krog Street Market and stumbled upon Soul Food & Culture—I hadn’t planned to eat there, but I’m glad I gave it a try. I ordered the whiting, mac and cheese, slaw, and hush puppies. Everything on my plate was well-prepared and flavorful. The whiting was fried just right, the mac and cheese was creamy and rich, and the hush puppies had a nice crunch with a touch of sweetness. The only downside? Customer service. Unfortunately, the front-of-house staff felt uninviting, which took away from the warm, soulful vibe you’d expect from a spot like this. Still, if you’re passing through the food court and craving Southern comfort food, I’d recommend giving it a shot—just don’t expect the warmest welcome.

Stopped and grabbed something to eat on a busy Saturday about 2:30. Food came out in about 10 mins, hot, fresh and absolutely friggin delicious. Had to give it a minute to cool off before I burnt my mouth all up. Got “The South.” Man. Chicken was right, pimento cheese was right and of course, pickle was the needed cherry on top. Fries were crunchy and full seasoned. Happy with my choice in a place full of great options.

I only ordered a side of collard greens and for five dollars you don’t really get a lot, but they were tasty. The fried green tomatoes were slick but good. Love this food hall and the location on the Beltline. Cool vibe. Parking can be crazy - JFYI

The food here: AMAZING Stopped by on a trip to ATL, lady at the counter is magnificent. Essentially whipping the kitchen team into place and I love to see it as someone who’s worked in the industry. I saw another review that said that she was un-inviting, but she stuck up for me when the cooks missed my order and got me and my friend a free drink. Don’t let anyone else fool you, she’s a hard worker!

Stopped in to Krog during a night tour of the city and figured it would be the perfect time to try some good southern cookin'. I got the whiting meal with candied yams and mac and cheese, and a side of banana pudding. Everything was seasoned well and tasted pretty good, even though I was expecting a little more from the Mac and cheese. The banana pudding felt a little like generic banana pudding with some sliced bananas and like 3 vanilla cookies on top, but still tasty. The front of house staff wasn't very welcoming and seemed a little bored or annoyed to be there, but maybe she was just having a rough day so it didn't bother me too much. I would recommend at least giving it a try if you're in the mood for some southern food.

Located within Krog Street Market, we decided to try this spot as it'll be my very first time trying Southern food. We ordered their shrimp basket with a side of collard greens, the fried green tomatoes, as well as their catfish burger. Portion size was good. I really enjoyed the fried green tomatoes and the collard greens, the rest of it was a tad too salty for my liking. Hospitality/Service was great! Left feeling happy and satisfied!

The place was nicely decorated and the interior of the restaurant was very welcoming. The bartender and host were very friendly. Our waiter was soft spoken and easy to deal with. We waited quite some time for our biscuits and entree. The place was 90% empty. My Shrimp and Grits were excellent. No complaints. On the other hand pieces of my wife's fried chicken were not cooked all the way through. The waiter was prompt to fix the issue but once again it took forever for the new piece of fried chicken to be served.

It's faux posh. It's mustard, grey, and greige decor colours. We came for the fried chicken, but that's only served on one day so I can't tell you it was good. So as you can see I do a lot of reviews in varying venues.. I've never been to a place of this supposed caliber that only gives half of what you order.. Tapas is thing, and I love small plates but this is a new level. I ordered the Tamale Pie, first thing is I only received half of a little pre-made pie. Sorry but I'm a Quality Manager in the Food Manufacturing Industry and the crust is not made from scratch. And who cuts the little pie in half.. Tsk tsk Watershed at least the saving grace was the woman waiting the bar that was trying out for the job.. The full time bartender had an attitude.. At least the drinks were good.

Richards' Southern Fried is a trendy food stall in Krog's market that specializes in serving up delicious fried chicken and Southern-style sides. The hot chicken is particularly noteworthy, with a perfect batter that sticks to the chicken and delivers a flavorful punch of rich pepper and umami. Customers rave about the authentic taste, making it one of the best outside of Nashville. While some find the fried chicken slightly oily and salty, others appreciate its thorough cooking.
Best hot chicken I've had outside of Nashville. The batter was perfect and stuck to the chicken. Flavor was full of Rich pepper and umami and still spicy delicious. Black-eyed pea salad was simple and good. Totally worth an adventure into Krog's market.

I tried all three levels of heat for their chicken, and the classics was by far the best. You can tell the difference between the “hot” and “Richard’s hot” but it’s not a huge difference and neither one was very good. The Mac and cheese was decent, it didn’t stand out much to me. It’s worth a stop for the classic chicken if you’re in the Krog Street market, but it’s not worth going out your way.

So nice to see a gluten free fried chicken! My husband has Celiacs so he hasn't been able to eat fried chicken in a while. Of course it's not the same as the real thing, but it was pretty good. PS their potato wedges are real good!

The food is OK at Richards' Southern Fried, while being pretty pricey. The chicken sandwich is rather small and the flavors are lacking a bit, but the chicken and waffle plate is pretty good. This isn't true Nashville hot chicken, in my opinion. I think there are better food options in Krog Street Market to choose from.

Chicken is good. I got the hot chicken . They have three different heats to the chicken. The waffle was also good. The Mac and cheese was on point. Nice spot if you are in Krog. Update May 2nd I got my usual chicken and waffles but for the first tome I got two pieces instead of the usual three . The woman cashier told me it was the cooks discretion on how many pieces of chicken I get. That’s not right . They should have a number or she was lying to me. Whichever that annoyed me . So if you get chicken and waffles ask how many pieces before you order.

Actually really good!! I’m happy with everything in the set - the chicken, the cornbread & the Brussels sprouts salad. The only downside was that it took wayyyy to long to get my order, even though it was only 430pm and not rush hour yet.
Miaoye Q — Google review
What a horrible experience, first off the food was ready and the guy did not even call till we asked what happened to our order, the order was chicken in a box which menu said it has 6 pieces, chicken in my box had 2 breasts 1 wing and 1 leg. When I asked the guy at the counter said that the sign is wrong. Wow... Change the sign or give what the menu says or atleast correct it when people order! Came back coz the food was good, but such dumb reasons is unacceptable. The flavor has gone down hill as well their most spicy one was bland and salty in places, not coming back here again.

Awesome service and food. Visiting family and this was my first visit. Would definitely come back. Chicken was cooked thoroughly and the mac and cheese was southern styled.

The best BBQ I’ve had in years since living in Atlanta!! I know good BBQ! and Hustle Man BBQ is exactly that..REAL GOOD BBQ! I came across this place on Google. The reviews were solid, so I decided to take a chance, and I’m so glad I did. The moment I walked into the establishment, I felt like I was back home. The energy from the owner was everything! He’s genuinely good people, and you can tell he puts his heart into making sure his customers not only feel good but eat good too. I ordered my husband and I the Ticken dinner plates . I had chicken and a side of mac. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and far from dry! The sauce was delicious, too. One thing I love is that he’s not stingy with the portions and there was a lot of chicken! The macaroni was moist, full of flavor, and definitely hit the spot. I’ll absolutely be back to try more from the menu! Especially the souse! 😩🙌🏽 If you’ve come across this spot and you’re curious, don’t hesitate. Just pull up and see for yourself!
