Amazing food, and amazing service. They don't overcharge you because you are a foreigner. They only have kosheri, but this is the go-to place for it. It was crowded, we had to walk up several floors. This was the first dish we had in Egypt. We had no stomach bug after it. It tastes AMAZING.

Koshary Abou Tarek is a must-visit when you’re in Cairo! The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and the service is truly outstanding. Every single waiter was extremely friendly, helpful, and full of good energy. The staff made the experience really fun and memorable. You don’t just come here for the food – which is also great – but for the great mood and warm hospitality. Highly recommended!

I've been here to try the traditional Egyptian dish "koshary." It was pretty good, and you can adjust the sauces according to your preferences . This restaurant has its own festive song that kept being played all along. We sat outside, and it was lovely seeing the people walking while enjoying the meal.

Might be a very touristy place, but the koshary was good and the vibes are great, people were literally dancing in the streets. I got the smallest size but it was a big enough portion.

A true Egyptian food experience. Only one dish is served here and therefore the food arrives quickly. Also ask for a dessert. Good value for money

Hidden behind an unassuming door is this absolute gem of a restaurant. My partner and I arrived without booking and enjoyed one of the best meals we've had! The restaurant itself is gorgeous and the staff amazing. We had the stuffed pigeon and Veal about el sid style with a couple of side dishes. The meatballs were fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely visit again. Can't recommend highly enough. Many thanks to all the staff

A true Egyptian cuisine experience in the heart of Zamalik. Food is complemented by a nice ambience and good service. Make sure to book and to check the surrounding shops. There are many great finds in the neighbourhood.

The bad reviews don’t do this restaurant justice! Extensive Egyptian menu. Excellent service and an atmospheric setting. Food came out very quickly. Some of the dishes could have been hotter. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Zamalek. Booking essential.

Delicious Egyptian cuisine and atmosphere that transports you back 100 years! I’d eaten here 3-4 times ten years ago, and just returned for dinner last week. It holds up & it great to see both local business people dining alongside tourists :) I love the meseka’a (eggplant in tomato sauce) dish!

Inside the old building, it feels old with the old music you feel you are in the okd days like 75 years ago, My wife went to the toilet and was disappointed with how dirty it is, and then I went to gent toilet and it was clean, so they better concentrate on the cleanliness of the women toilet I will review the foid after eating the stuffed pigeons. the kushary was huge and tasty, the musakaa was excellent the abu sid salad was great, unfortunately the stuffed pigeon was almost meatles so don't consider it as your protein, it was an excellent meal. just before leaving a nearby table, a woman started smoking a cigarette

The food is fresh, the falafel salad was so delicious and tasty. We had a very good time, we had to wait a little to be seated but it wasn’t too long. It was a nice vibe inside with lots of tourists just like us. Although we wish the portion were bigger, we definitely recommend !

The best place in Kairo Zamalek for breakfast - service & people are amazing. The service is excellent, the waiters welcome you with open arms and you feel completely at ease here. The location is small and doesn't invite you to linger for long, but that doesn't detract from the excellent quality of the food. If you are in Cairo, you absolutely have to eat here. Great local eatery with traditional dishes. Fast service and friendly staff. We went back few time during our week traveling in Cairo.

Zooba tastes good, but the service was slow and unorganized. There was a waiting queue and the people at the tables were also waiting. They got our order wrong twice. We didn't ask to correct it the second time. They don't provide tissues or wet wipes or eating utensils. Overall, it's good taste, cleanliness in the kitchen, which is important for the customers, not necessarily in the eating area. Would visit again, but it's overrated.

A pleasant discovery by accident and convenience, as Crave is located next to our hotel. The restaurant provided a tranquil space on public holiday where I would spend time enjoying their Shaksouka with a nice flat white. The food was tasty and good value, the service friendly and not over-attentive, and the spot great for a bit of quiet reading and reflection

This is one of my family’s favorite restaurants. It’s clean and spacious, the food is very good and the menu has quite a variety. The staff are decent and polite but the service is a bit slow.

I really like crave and specially Zamalek branch. Their food is really good and staff are very attentive and super nice. Unfortunately the stakes are not available. They used to import the meat and was delicious but because of the financial crisis in Egypt they are no longer offering it. Their chocolate fondant is the best I had in cairo and a must to try.

The international cuisine that Crave serves gives you a real rich menu that you can select from The starters, salads , main dishes and also the drinks were all very good among the 4 of us who ordered there. Pasta was really good with a white creamy sauce and rich seafood.

Super quick bite to eat after visiting AUC bookstore. The salad bar was fresh. I ordered a chicken supreme with some special adjustments and it came out just how I like it! Great service!

Great service and delicious!

We had made a reservation and specifically requested a table by the Nile, but were seated far from it. The tables, plates, and cutlery were not clean. The food was disappointing and not like it used to be — the grilled meats were overly spiced and of poor quality, and both the molokhia and moussaka were below average. We like only hummus and mutable.. Despite this, there was a minimum charge of 1500 EGP per person, which is absolutely not worth it. To make things worse, we were subjected to inappropriate stares and harassment from some guests, and no action was taken when we reported it. We asked to change tables, but were told it wasn’t possible.Not Recommended

Together with my girlfriend and a friend of ours we went to Kebabgy to have great dinner on a lovely early August evening. We went there without a reservation, which wasn't a problem. We generally love Egyptian cuisine and we've been able to enjoy a great selection of it there. We'd definitely recommend having the Eggplant Salad, Assorted Oriental Cold Mezzeh, Stuffed Vine Leaves (my girlfriend and I love to travel & eat a lot and those were the best ones we've ever had so far), Mix Grilled and Grilled Vegetables, putting it all in the middle and just share & enjoy! Also: The freshly baked bread is wonderful and the Guava juice was very good. The location at the very southern tip of Gezira island, right at river Nile is just amazing. Views are very lovely at sunset and night time. Service provided by the waiters and all the other staff was very good. There might be some live traditional music performed from 19:00 on. What you should also expect, is to receive a fairly higher bill by the end of your dinner. If you're looking for a cheap meal, this isn't your place to go. Still, the prices seem to be fair with the quality, service and atmosphere that come with it and the fact that it's part of the next door Sofitel. If you're aware of that and fine with paying a bit of premium, you'll enjoy your meal a lot! Thx for everything

Amazing evening in a breath taking atmosphere and absolutely delicious food. Service was very warm and attentive . We shared several dishes . Tarb meat, and warak enab and hawawshi were delicious. Konafa for dessert is an absolute must have.

The food was very delicious, we ordered a salad, spicy shrimps and ioghurt with herbs for appetizers and Adana kebab (minced lamb - spicy with chilli) for main course, beers and coffee etc. The view at night was amazing, the vibes/music were also on top. We reserved a table online for 22h but we arrived 1h earlier and they still found us a good table outside, very grateful for that. Would recommend if you want to have a great time with your partner and family. We ordered a lot (4 people) but still paid only 7600 EP, I think thats reasonable, we were full after everything

Nice Italian style restaurant. Food is good and service is great. Tried this restaurant and other branch in Garden 8 and both are excellent but Garden 8 comes ahead in the taste of the food. The dishes tried this time are shown in the below pictures.

I visited mo bistro on a weekday for dinner, the staff was very friendly and quickly sat us at our table the restaurant is cozy and nice with a very nice atmosphere. Before even ordering we were served a very nice and hot loaf of bread with a side of bruschetta and eggplant salad, it was the highlight of our visit. We ordered mille-feuille truffle potato it was very average nothing special, tomato soup which was also pretty average but the mushroom soup was disastrous it tasted like indomie and the chicken inside it was unappetizing. We also ordered lemon pasta which was okay, lemon mint which was pretty good and we ended our visit by ordering cappucino and chocolate fondant that were delicious.

This place offers a truly unique fine dining experience by the book. Starting with their complementary appetizer and going through the entire meal. It is always a delight to eat in this place not to mention their amazing consistency across the years and their quality control in all branches. Their Flank steak is unmatched. It is a pure joy to taste and you can never have enough of it. The portion is generous and can easily be enough for 2-3 people. The mashed potato is flawless with the perfect creaminess and texture, the spinach and the 2 extra sauces that comes with the steak are the perfect complimentary sides for this dish. Moving on to their pasta, I have tried many pastas in this place and they all taste amazing. My top picks tho would be their Beef Saffron (out of this world) and their take on Chinese noodles [those are my top picks] everything else is still pretty good and would highly recommend you to try out everything. Their Tiramisu is also pretty good (not the best) but still good enough

Had such a lovely time at MO Bistro ❣️❣️❣️❣️ I originally went in craving steak and fries, but the menu totally pulled me in — everything looked amazing, even breakfast (definitely coming back in the morning for that). The place is cozy and stylish, and the staff were some of the kindest I’ve met in Cairo so far. Special thanks to Mohamed for helping us with our order and being super patient, even when I ignored his salad recommendation (lesson learned 😅). I went with the endive, green apple & walnut salad — and let’s just say… it wasn’t love at first bite. But what truly stood out was how the team handled it: they noticed I didn’t enjoy it and kindly took it off the check without me even saying a word. That kind of care and attentiveness is rare, and it honestly meant a lot. The flanked steak with teriyaki and mushroom sauce was out of this world, and the creamy almond soup? Dreamy. One small hiccup: I was heartbroken when I heard the tiramisu was sold out — but somehow, they made a slice appear later, and it made my whole night. It’s rare to see that kind of service and care. Oh, and the passionfruit iced tea? A match made in heaven. Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend if you're after great food, warm vibes, and genuinely lovely service.

My recent visit to Mo Bistro was a mixed experience, with both positive and negative aspects worth noting. On the positive side, the food tasted good. The flavors were enjoyable and the dishes were well-prepared. The ambiance of the restaurant was also quite nice, providing a pleasant setting for a meal. The staff were responsive and accommodating, promptly addressing any issues that arose during our visit. However, there were some significant drawbacks. The food, although tasty, was served cold, which detracted from the overall enjoyment. Additionally, I found a hair on my plate and some dirt on my cup. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, they handled it quickly and replaced the items, but such issues should not have occurred in the first place. Overall, while Mo Bistro has a nice vibe and decent food, there are better dining options in Cairo that offer a more consistent and pleasant experience. If you're nearby, it might be worth a visit, but there are certainly other places to consider for a more flawless dining experience.

Love the goat cheese beet root salad. Place is very nice although parking is difficult. Service is very good but prices increased markedly. Chicken Mongolian was perfect. No shisha any more which is disappointing. I wonder why do they have these icons at the end of the menu although it is not added beside the different plates to show which is spicy or which is vegan

i stopped by this branch for breakfast and coffee and just like the other ones everything was perfect the food was great the staff were really friendly and helpful and i even found parking easily which is a big plus the only thing i’d love to see is lactose free milk but other than that the service and atmosphere were amazing as always!

One of the best places in Giza for grilled and Egyptian oriental food. Best grilled Kofta in Giza, molokhya is super delicious too. However, parking is challenging, It is always crowded and tables are pretty close to each other, and toilets need to be cleaner.

I have visited the place and have tried grilled Kofta and kebab . The service was normal but below the standards. I have also tried ( El haram) The kofta was very good however the kebab was very bad and not as we expect The Hama was quite good but is not the best . Rating: Kofta :4.5/5 Kebab : 1/5 Herman: 3/5 The restaurant has a very crowded and they are not organized at all. Overall rating is 2.5/5 One more to thing which is very bad , you can pay only with cash not with the credit

It's basically ok. The price with respect to quantity and quality is very good though. The issue with quality is the taste mainly and not the meat itself. Kebab is very good, kofta is ok but very filling and a bit too heavy, tarb is fine, neefa is below average taste and doesn't taste half as good as sob7y or kababgy in new cairo or most famous kebab places, moza is ok as well but not as good as sob7y or even dahan. The salads are very spicy if you're into that, good quality but definitely made for someone who loves spicy food. I'd rank it below most other famous kebab places.

Food presentation didn't look at all appetizing, the taste was barely average (even compared to American pizza). Also, I asked for the potatoe wedges and they were not available. Staff were no attentive and not very friendly. The space is very nice with a central location and a nice view but they manage to turn it into an uninviting place everything there tells you that you should eat and leave immediately.

The pizza was good but no customer service at all. everytime I dine in wedges not available. The place just eat and go. They don't know the word customer service. Like they treat you don't go back and eat again. It's better also if they have hot sauce.

I ordered Juicy Lucy burger, average taste, nothing special or unique, burger patty smaller than bread. Chicken wings was rancid and extremely bad,I ordered at midnight and I'm 100% sure they didn't change the oil since they started their shift. Besides that how did you guys manage to get dat small wings, like seriously it's chicks wings not chicken wings.

I love the ambiance of the place; however, the servers are hard to call since they are facing their backs at you. The food is totally recommended! I will always order the blue cheese salad! It's 10/10. Brisket beef came to us after 30 minutes, and the meat was very cold, like it was from the freezer, and they just defrosted it and served it with a hot sauce. I had to call the server to change it, and the manager apologised to us and gave us the same beef. The meat is warm, not even hot. At the end, we had not finished eating it. They offered us churros and looked after us the whole dinner.

Great experience overall. When you sit to dine you are given both menus for Chicken & Ribs as well as Butcher's Burgers which is great!! Ended up ordering from Butcher's Burgers as the Texas Brisket sounded good Overall, all food was good and nothing i could complain about from the food to the service. Would go back to try other items on the menu as well. Expect to pay about 250EGP per person as of Sep 2022.

A five star restaurant, the quality and taste of food were marvelous, the fried chicken was so so so crispy, and came with very big portions. I have tried almost every wings restaurant among Cairo and those were the best ones!!! They were really big and the dynamite sauce was perfect combined with the blue cheese dip. A must-try restaurant that is bit pricy but quality, taste, and portions worth every penny you will pay. You can pay about 150 EGP / person and get stuffed with best food out there.

The food overall was good. I had high hopes for the mac and cheese but I really didn’t enjoy it that much, it was merely acceptable. Kind of crowded in a small space. Loved the merge between 2 restaurants. Slow but friendly staff

This is one of my favorite little hidden gems in Zamalek. Anything in Iconia is wow. This is a bit of a late review as I've been coming here for years now but Christmas time was the best. They brought a Santa out and everything. My family and I ate at Chicken and Ribs that day. The food from there is never a disappointment and the waiters are always attentive. The apple pie is awesome and I order it every time we go. Also one thing we love is the turkey legs (not pictured) but I highly recommend. It's huge and the turkey must be like a dinosaur really haha. This area of eating is also so enjoyable because it is away from the noise of the street and you can actually hear yourself talk. The choices to eat there are Chicken and Ribs, Butchers Burger, 30 North, and an ice cream place and there's a little convenience store too. Also Inside Iconia there's a bookstore. It's an all around fabulous place.

restaurant in an upscale court yard, really different atmosphere than the typical Cairo streets. On the expensive side but makes sense given the atmosphere and service. Ribs were great but chicken wings were a bit dry.
