A very cozy, family-friendly, delicious vegetarian stuffed potato restaurant (this coming from a meat-lover). Has very fair prices on food; not so much on beverages (you're in Germany, after all). The potatoes are big enough for you to take a while to finish them, if you manage to - neither me nor my friend could, but both tasted superb. All the employees were also really neat and friendly. I'll definitely return here once in a while.

The older gentlemen preparing my food was grumpy beyond measures. I ordered small tea, they only have large mugs, so I was charged large - fine. Showarma in pita was actually 90% pickled cabbage with a touch of chicken, a slice of onion and a single piece of tomatoes. 4.5€ is very little to pay, but I would really prefer to pay more and get less cabbage. I also ordered mixed cold dishes, humus and baba ganoush, and these two vere delicious and finally up to fame of the place. I liked the atmosphere, most ppl around looked like regulars.

We had their shawarma , hummus, and mixed salad. The staff there was very friendly and even offered us pickles on request! The quality and quantity for the price ws really good!

Very very good food! Extremely comforting and generous, we had rice with a few different dishes and some Falafel with Tahini sauce on top, and a Baqlawa for dessert, everything was spectacular. I'm writing this while still sitting in the place after food and I know I will be back here whenever I'm in Mainz again.

Excellent! Generosity is something rarely seen in Germany especially in the food industry, however, Burgerladen is not lacking any! Decently sized cold beverages, freshly prepared ingredients, and almost endless combinations of sides and toppings, very well executed indeed. The concept of separating the dining tables from the kitchen is a big plus when you don't want to smell like a freshly grilled burger! In other words it is a very nice place to eat in with an unbeatable prices to match.

We love Pizza Pepe! 🍕 I grew up here in Mainz and went to this restaurant every Wednesday with my Dad for my whole childhood and youth. It is my favourite pizza and pasta in town and I love the lively atmosphere! It is very busy while at the same time homey and welcoming. I love how the cashier shouts "Mancha" and pizza bakers and cooks reply by shouting back "Grazie!" when you give them a tipp. I always come back here whenever I am back in Mainz, the quality has constantly been fantastic over the 35 years I have been going here and all that for some really affordable prices! Try out the Pizza "Pepe Speciale" (see picture) and the Spagetti "Napoli"!

Encountered this lovely pizza and pasta place while walking around the old town of Mainz on a chilly day in January. This is a small and warm self serviced place for a quick bite with tables and stands you can sit down or stand to eat. They have a big variety of pizzas and pastas. The pizzas may not be the most authentic as they have Pizza Hawaii with pineapple topping but are great as they are over fresh. What I also like is the pizzas come with 2 sizes, i.e. mini and grande. The mini one is smallish which is good if you are not hungry or you can order more than 1 if you want to sample different toppings or for sharing. After all, the price is very reasonable as well.

You have to order and pay inside, then find a seat which is fine since you can just leave. Staff brought the food and that was fine. Very thoughtful that they brought water for my dog. Food was a little bit better than average in my opinion.

It's really the best wurst in town! My family and I tried levels B+, C, and D. For us, B+ was the most comfortable while C was the most enjoyable in terms of tolerable spiciness. D was very hot and was a nice challenge for me. 10/10 would recommend and would return to try E and F. 😉

I see more than a few Lee Barracks Veteran reviews. I used to eat here when it was Aldo’s from ‘85-‘89 when I was stationed here and lived right outside the 4-34 motor pool gate. Wife and I had STACKS of boxes! When we returned many years later it had become Da Salvo. The “new owners” didn’t miss a step! We live here again after 33 years in the states. Outstanding pie and my wife and son tell me the Italian salad with Thunfisch is PERFECTION! It is our go to place for Pizza with my wife’s mama almost every Thursday night. Always delicious, always quick, always affordable! Good luck parking though and you WILL have to wait in line if you don’t order ahead… I’d give their pizza an 8.1 using Pres Portnoy’s scale.

Pizza Hut finally offers a few vegan pizzas on their menu so we went to try them. They were pretty good. We tried the Smokey BBQ and the Vegan Chikn and Cheese. I personally would have expected more vegan chicken in the pizza because there were only a few pieces. The staff was very friendly but I just don’t think the price is worth it - for two pizzas, garlic bread and two drinks we paid over 60 euros. I have gotten vegan pizzas just as good for less.

A pretty nice experience and good pizza. If I can describe it, it would be a dependable spot to get a bite to eat and everything should be fine. We passed by on a day out doing some shopping and figured why not coz it's a global franchise and it definitely met expectations. 👏🏽 The more American style pizza was also a welcome change from the mainly Italian style pizzas that I had for many months prior. We ordered a Chicken Supreme with a cheese-filled crust and it arrived hot and delicious. I quite enjoyed it😋 Only thing I would say as a person who like spice is that I would have liked a bit more spice and aromatics on mine, but all in all, I give it an 8/10. The major downside about the atmosphere was the fact that it was pretty hot in there. It was a warm sunny day and it seems the ventilation and air-conditioning is not as thorough as it could be, so you can feel pretty hot rather quickly. The pizza dough was okay but there was a big difference in the pieces, some had basically nothing but sauce on there. I also felt like the vegetables were almost raw and the sauce was over seasoned. Its quite expensive for what it is. I also had a frozen coffee drink that was way too sweet. The Location isnt Wheelchair accessible and Parking was hard to find, but to be fair thats just Mainz Neustadt in general. All in all it wasnt awful but I wont visit again.

Great pizza. Attentive service. I was in the mood for pizza (as always). I searched for pizza nearby and found Pizzeria Sole, about a 10 minute walk from where I was staying. I walked over to get some pizza ASAP (as soon as pizza-able). I ordered a diavola to take away and had a box in my hand within 5 minutes. (Thank goodness the box had the pizza in it!!) I ended up eating a few slices on the walk back. If you're in the mood for good pizza with quick and attentive service, I recommend Pizzeria Sole.

This location is in need of a remodel. They do have the electronic ordering kiosk but the exterior needs a revamp. The parking lot is also a bit small and not easy to maneuver.
